- 0:41Speaker 1: I apologize. So we used to say, you know, Belichick
- 0:44Speaker 1: and Brady each made the other Greaterick and mac each
- 0:47Speaker 1: made the other. Do you continue to be mean?
- 0:51Speaker 4: You could drop?
- 0:52Speaker 1: Would you say the players had bounced in their step?
- 0:54Speaker 6: Oh no, No, talk about a game where you're gonna

- 1:08Speaker 4: Make Jack Jones has just recently started acting.
- 1:14Speaker 1: The intimation there that he's trying to shoot his way
- 1:15Speaker 1: out of town.
- 1:16Speaker 7: I'm not sure if he knew what he was doing
- 1:18Speaker 7: there or not, but Fred always knows what he's doing.
- 1:22Speaker 4: Wrote something onlines. Are we being a little bit too
- 1:24Speaker 4: tough on macs?
- 1:26Speaker 3: A little tougher?
- 1:26Speaker 5: You know best.
- 1:28Speaker 8: This is Patriots Unfiltered, presented by Toyota's official website.

- 1:37Speaker 1: All right, welcome the Patriots Unfiltered. It is Thursday here
- 1:42Speaker 1: at Jillette Stadium, and we're following up on a very
- 1:45Speaker 1: lively Catch twenty two. Yes, yeah, you guys bicker like
- 1:48Speaker 1: you're married. Well, that's the that's the allure of it. Yeah,
- 1:52Speaker 1: that's the show.
- 1:54Speaker 4: That's it.
- 1:54Speaker 1: That's the show.
- 1:55Speaker 6: No, it's good, good stuff, but only about running backs.
- 1:58Speaker 6: I was captivated while you were sitting in the dark.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I felt more like a captain. But no good stuff
- 2:07Speaker 1: Catch twenty two. If you didn't catch it live, you
- 2:09Speaker 1: can catch it on demand. But this is Patriots Unfiltered.
- 2:12Speaker 1: We'll be here for the next couple of hours. It's Duce,
- 2:14Speaker 1: it's Evan, it's Paul, it's me, Matt and Nabooth and
- 2:18Speaker 1: it's Thursday. It's a big show, Pitt's Day.
- 2:20Speaker 5: The Queen will be down for the last hour to
- 2:23Speaker 5: make her picks known to her to her subjects.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Lash not quite as good this week, queen, So I
- 2:29Speaker 4: don't know if she'll be around.
- 2:30Speaker 5: We'll have to see a little bit of I think
- 2:32Speaker 5: she's aware I asked her to you I wouldn't laugh
- 2:35Speaker 5: too loud. Well, hey, I was under durest during the
- 2:38Speaker 5: club show.
- 2:38Speaker 4: You were fine and.
- 2:41Speaker 1: The club show, the club.
- 2:44Speaker 5: Club, the club Show. I watched a little of the
- 2:46Speaker 5: the video that we got. So there is some secret
- 2:48Speaker 5: video out there for all the people.
- 2:50Speaker 7: I keep on we'll get it pictures and videos of
- 2:53Speaker 7: our time in Germany.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Release it as one off, so if we can do it, can.
- 2:57Speaker 5: Maybe clip some out of it. I mean, Paul dancing
- 2:59Speaker 5: on the table was crazy. He just got up and
- 3:01Speaker 5: started working it and we were all like and he
- 3:03Speaker 5: just had to move.
- 3:04Speaker 1: So the shirt off, the nipple clamps, it was great.
- 3:06Speaker 6: Yeah, and we tried to see what we could do
- 3:10Speaker 6: with that because we're all putting together a sort of
- 3:12Speaker 6: a Germany trip wrap up. Yeah, and there's clips that
- 3:16Speaker 6: we put in from Patriots House. How but it's hard
- 3:20Speaker 6: to get anything without music.
- 3:21Speaker 5: Well, let's tease it Friday seventh. I was just gonna say, yeah, YouTube, Facebook,
- 3:25Speaker 5: and then it'll be on Patriots dot Com. But the
- 3:26Speaker 5: full wrap up video behind the scenes of yeah, you know,
- 3:29Speaker 5: maybe just a little glimpse with some of our content
- 3:31Speaker 5: team got to see some football things that they haven't
- 3:33Speaker 5: really ever gotten a see before.
- 3:35Speaker 1: So yeah, so if you're wondering what it was like
- 3:36Speaker 1: in Frankfurt, tomorrow, seven o'clock Eastern is the worldwide pressure
- 3:43Speaker 1: the worldwide premiere of our trip to Germany and like
- 3:48Speaker 1: du said, behind the scenes stuff, So that'll be seven
- 3:51Speaker 1: o'clock tomorrow on all Patriots channels.
- 3:53Speaker 5: Yeah, and I just say to like, you know, everybody
- 3:56Speaker 5: knows what the game was, but it didn't do justice
- 3:59Speaker 5: to what an awesome time it was there and just
- 4:01Speaker 5: for Patriot fans to gather in the middle of Germany
- 4:05Speaker 5: from all over Europe and and you know, just that
- 4:07Speaker 5: was that was the best part. And that's the stuff
- 4:08Speaker 5: that will show. And you know, we know what happened
- 4:11Speaker 5: in the game and all that. We don't need to
- 4:12Speaker 5: go into that, but but it was it was a
- 4:13Speaker 5: great time.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Yep. All right, So what are we doing here? What
- 4:16Speaker 1: are we talking about? I thought we're doing radio show,
- 4:19Speaker 1: but yeah, no, I.
- 4:20Speaker 6: Mean it seemed like there was anything, uh newsworthy now
- 4:23Speaker 6: from the time that we signed off yesterday, quieting down.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Yeah, I think the players are off today tomorrow through
- 4:30Speaker 1: the weekends. It'll be a bad thing. It'll be back
- 4:32Speaker 1: on Monday. Like, yeah, I agree, Paul, it's probably a
- 4:35Speaker 1: good thing. Yeah.
- 4:36Speaker 5: We had locker room yesterday and you know you heard
- 4:38Speaker 5: it was an interesting few of those guys. Yeah, go ahead,
- 4:40Speaker 5: you can jump in on some of those guys.
- 4:42Speaker 7: Well, I felt like the bye week. I mean that's
- 4:43Speaker 7: for sure, Like just there was card games going on.
- 4:48Speaker 7: There was like one of the tables in there was
- 4:50Speaker 7: I turned a different.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Way and I was like, guy in the corner playing
- 4:53Speaker 1: a piano.
- 4:54Speaker 7: Yeah, And I was like, what's going on here? Like
- 4:56Speaker 7: you walked in, it looked like a cyclone had just
- 4:59Speaker 7: been through the locker room. Like everything was all out
- 5:01Speaker 7: of place and in different spots. And it definitely had
- 5:05Speaker 7: that that bye week vibe. And I was I was
- 5:08Speaker 7: cautious about saying that because at two and eight, you know,
- 5:10Speaker 7: you know, want to like highlight that they are kind
- 5:12Speaker 7: of loose, But at the same time, that was that's
- 5:15Speaker 7: the vibe.
- 5:16Speaker 4: That was what it was, like, what are you going
- 5:17Speaker 4: to do?
- 5:20Speaker 1: Yeah? Whatever? Did any of the players share their plans
- 5:23Speaker 1: for the.
- 5:24Speaker 7: Bye We Yeah, a lot of a lot of guys
- 5:26Speaker 7: going home, you know, wherever they call home, you know,
- 5:30Speaker 7: for for the weekend, spend time with family.
- 5:32Speaker 1: I heard this morning on the Rich Hill Show and
- 5:37Speaker 1: uh Greg Greg Hill. Oh, he was talking about going
- 5:41Speaker 1: to Disney World with his kids, know, his significant other.
- 5:45Speaker 4: Oh right, I don't think it has kids, right.
- 5:47Speaker 5: Yeah, he's been excited himself. I get a Mickey Mouse hears.
- 5:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:50Speaker 7: We actually saw them walking around Germany on Saturday after
- 5:55Speaker 7: the players were off, you know, from meetings and stuff.
- 5:57Speaker 1: So yeahs a good guy. I know a lot of
- 6:00Speaker 1: players like try to go back to the alma mater
- 6:03Speaker 1: sometime and show up on the sideline a lot.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Of a lot of college football games.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Absolutely, you know it must be a big thing that
- 6:09Speaker 1: it's like coming, you know, thanks, going back to your
- 6:11Speaker 1: high school game after you When Paul goes back to
- 6:14Speaker 1: his high school in high school, the statue, it's like
- 6:17Speaker 1: they carry him in like Cleopatrick.
- 6:19Speaker 4: You know, he's back.
- 6:22Speaker 5: Who left Gorilla left. No, he's in the b U
- 6:29Speaker 5: Baseball Hall of Fame.
- 6:30Speaker 1: It is, he really is.
- 6:33Speaker 6: I don't know why you guys have to make fun
- 6:34Speaker 6: of it. The fact is that actually a fact want
- 6:38Speaker 6: of Famer sitting there.
- 6:39Speaker 4: That's me.
- 6:42Speaker 5: Now for now, Baseball.
- 6:43Speaker 7: I'll be in the you know, Writers Hall of Famer someday.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, all right.
- 6:47Speaker 1: It's one of those clinic.
- 6:51Speaker 4: That that's a good question for d and the answer
- 6:53Speaker 4: is now.
- 6:55Speaker 1: All right. Eight five five Pats five hundred is the
- 6:59Speaker 1: ACE ticket hot web radio at pages dot com. It's
- 7:01Speaker 1: the email address.
- 7:04Speaker 5: I'm hearing a little from Jack Jones out and the Raiders.
- 7:07Speaker 5: He said, you know, kind of played it close to
- 7:08Speaker 5: the vest as I'm I'm not I'm not gonna say.
- 7:11Speaker 1: I'm sure he would.
- 7:11Speaker 5: You don't know what he's gonna say. But curious how
- 7:14Speaker 5: that's all gonna work out and what's going to happen.
- 7:16Speaker 5: And is he now suddenly going to stay on the
- 7:18Speaker 5: straight and arrow with the Raiders in Vegas or is
- 7:20Speaker 5: this gonna be kind of a tryout and maybe fade.
- 7:24Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 7:24Speaker 6: Yeah, So I'm still trying to wrap my head around
- 7:29Speaker 6: the fact that he brought guns to the airport in June,
- 7:35Speaker 6: and somebody locally is insinuating that he started to act
- 7:38Speaker 6: out when it when Josh McDaniels got fired and Antonio
- 7:41Speaker 6: Pierce took over. Yeah, like that, I like someone's really
- 7:46Speaker 6: and they were doubling down on it yesterday like.
- 7:51Speaker 4: Andy gresh No, he was talks, he talks. I mean
- 7:53Speaker 4: he's talking about it on the air.
- 7:55Speaker 6: I mean, people know who I'm I'm referring to, and listen,
- 7:58Speaker 6: I'm not here to tell anybody, you know, keep your
- 8:01Speaker 6: takes to yourself.
- 8:02Speaker 4: That's that's the business.
- 8:03Speaker 6: That's But I just don't know how you can make
- 8:05Speaker 6: the argument he started to act out when Josh McDaniels
- 8:09Speaker 6: got fired.
- 8:11Speaker 4: Now did he know that?
- 8:12Speaker 6: Did he know that that Peters was was going to
- 8:15Speaker 6: take over and probably would claim him? Maybe maybe he
- 8:18Speaker 6: figured his old coach would claim him if he was available.
- 8:21Speaker 5: I don't think just took the pouting to a new
- 8:23Speaker 5: level and really disengaged.
- 8:25Speaker 6: It's just it amazes me that you could make the
- 8:27Speaker 6: argument that he started to act up at that point.
- 8:31Speaker 6: This is just if we were talking about this and
- 8:33Speaker 6: Catch twenty two at the end. Just I think a
- 8:36Speaker 6: lot of people make the bill, should we should the
- 8:38Speaker 6: Patriots keep bill?
- 8:39Speaker 9: Or not?
- 8:40Speaker 7: About just about Mac Jones? Like this stuff with Jack
- 8:42Speaker 7: Jones and J C. Jackson and Trent Brown like it's
- 8:46Speaker 7: all of it, like it's the whole thing has fallen apart,
- 8:50Speaker 7: like they have that's just the stuff we know, right,
- 8:52Speaker 7: And they have no there's no moral compass on this
- 8:56Speaker 7: team anymore, Like there's no there's no rules like what
- 9:00Speaker 7: this ten years ago? Never it's never would have flown,
- 9:03Speaker 7: you know, I think about it.
- 9:04Speaker 6: It's like we go back to those guys that they
- 9:07Speaker 6: used to sign that were troubled, and they would give
- 9:09Speaker 6: a second chance to Corey Dillon.
- 9:11Speaker 4: Good example, right.
- 9:12Speaker 6: Comes in, they trade for him, has a huge year,
- 9:16Speaker 6: they re up, he starts doing what he did in Cincinnati,
- 9:21Speaker 6: and it wasn't long he was gone. Now, this is
- 9:24Speaker 6: a guy who ran for over sixteen hundred yards and
- 9:27Speaker 6: nine thousand touchdowns and was a huge part of the
- 9:30Speaker 6: offense for a team that was absolutely dominant to win
- 9:32Speaker 6: the Super Bowl, and they didn't let him like spoil
- 9:36Speaker 6: the rest of the batch. Well, he wasn't around that
- 9:40Speaker 6: much longer. It was like a year and a half
- 9:42Speaker 6: or something like that.
- 9:42Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 9:43Speaker 6: And again, you know, they got Maroney in the first
- 9:45Speaker 6: round shortly thereafter and said we got to get rid
- 9:47Speaker 6: of this.
- 9:47Speaker 1: We've had the conversation a few times now the locker
- 9:50Speaker 1: room culture, you know, Corey Dllon comes into it and
- 9:52Speaker 1: goes like, yeah, it's not going to be tolerated here,
- 9:55Speaker 1: And eventually, you know, they've had enough of the situation.
- 9:59Speaker 1: But it's not as strong as it's not as strong
- 10:03Speaker 1: a locker room as it has been. And you know,
- 10:05Speaker 1: so if you're a guy that has screwed around the past,
- 10:08Speaker 1: you find out pretty quickly. I can't get away with
- 10:11Speaker 1: that here, not not forget about my coach. My teammates
- 10:15Speaker 1: aren't going to allow that. The best guy on this
- 10:18Speaker 1: team isn't going to put up with it, Tom, you know,
- 10:21Speaker 1: Tom Brady, That's not the case right now, you know.
- 10:25Speaker 1: And I think every team, good or bad, have these
- 10:29Speaker 1: things that happen. You've got fifty three guys plus that
- 10:33Speaker 1: circulate in and out of your locker room throughout the season.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Things are going to happen. It's just it's just inevitable.
- 10:38Speaker 1: But when you're a good team and you're managed well
- 10:42Speaker 1: within the lot, some of a lot of things don't
- 10:44Speaker 1: see the light of day, you know.
- 10:46Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean it's the absence of someone like Willie mcginnison.
- 10:49Speaker 5: I don't want to like trash Jawump Bentley, Like, I
- 10:52Speaker 5: think that those guys are good leaders and that they,
- 10:54Speaker 5: you know, send the right message David Andrews Tetrick wise,
- 10:57Speaker 5: but I just wonder how much of it is the
- 10:58Speaker 5: vacuum at the quarterback position and that you know, there
- 11:00Speaker 5: isn't really that strong alpha quarterback that everybody kind of
- 11:04Speaker 5: believes into kind of rally around on both sides of
- 11:06Speaker 5: the ball to really set the tone at the top.
- 11:09Speaker 5: But it's you're right, though, It's just you can't. They
- 11:12Speaker 5: don't have a lot of star players who are totally
- 11:15Speaker 5: committed and making the big plays and the ones that
- 11:17Speaker 5: like William McGinnis would hold everyone accountable, but he'd go
- 11:20Speaker 5: out and play hard. And you know, I mean, again,
- 11:23Speaker 5: I don't want to get into saying I'm saying that
- 11:24Speaker 5: Bentley doesn't, but you know what I mean that there's
- 11:26Speaker 5: a difference.
- 11:27Speaker 1: And even the position coaches. Adrian Clem's a young guy,
- 11:30Speaker 1: you know, the Stephen and Brian Belichick are young. You know,
- 11:35Speaker 1: they have a lot of young position coach guys, you know.
- 11:38Speaker 1: And I remember when Ray Hamilton was a position coach
- 11:42Speaker 1: and he sugar bear, Yeah, I mean he would you know,
- 11:45Speaker 1: like if you were aligneman, like you didn't screw around
- 11:48Speaker 1: with him.
- 11:48Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, like Pepper Johnson.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Pepper Johnson, you didn't screw around with these guys. Romeo Crenell.
- 11:55Speaker 1: You wanted to do well from him for him because
- 11:57Speaker 1: you loved him.
- 11:58Speaker 10: You know.
- 11:58Speaker 1: It's like same thing with Dante in that presence, isn't there.
- 12:04Speaker 4: Coaching staff is a I think a big part of this.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:07Speaker 6: Yeah, they've lost a lot of good coaches and then
- 12:10Speaker 6: good coaches that replace those good coaches, and even in
- 12:13Speaker 6: some cases other good coaches that replaced the guy that
- 12:15Speaker 6: replaced the guy.
- 12:16Speaker 4: Yeah, and now you're just down to a bunch of
- 12:18Speaker 4: young in And I'm not saying they're not good coach.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Or they don't be great coach. We don't know yet.
- 12:23Speaker 1: But when you're a you know, a player, you see weakness,
- 12:27Speaker 1: you know, you're like, I can get away with this. Yeah.
- 12:29Speaker 7: I mean you think about Josh mcdaniels's last staff here.
- 12:33Speaker 7: It's not Josh McDaniels obviously is the big name, but
- 12:36Speaker 7: they had Josh McDaniels. They had Mick Lombardy coaching the receivers.
- 12:39Speaker 7: They had Bo hart Agree coaching the quarterbacks. Who's now
- 12:41Speaker 7: the OC with the Raiders. Instead of Josh McDaniels, they
- 12:45Speaker 7: had Carmen Brisilla coaching the line, like they had all
- 12:49Speaker 7: these guys, Nick Keyley coaching the tight ends that had
- 12:51Speaker 7: been here, that were experienced coaches that I just had
- 12:56Speaker 7: been there.
- 12:56Speaker 5: You know.
- 12:57Speaker 7: Nick Keyley was on like the twenty fourteen staff as
- 12:59Speaker 7: like a low level assistant. You know, like these guys
- 13:01Speaker 7: went back aways with his team and we're in the pipeline,
- 13:04Speaker 7: and now you just have all these guys that are
- 13:06Speaker 7: just kind of coming up and coaching, you know, Vinnie
- 13:10Speaker 7: Sinceri or Adrian Clem, I don't know, we.
- 13:12Speaker 4: Know Ross Douglas.
- 13:15Speaker 6: Yeah, a lot of guys that it's their first real
- 13:18Speaker 6: experience and they're already position coaches, Whereas, to Evan's point,
- 13:22Speaker 6: the guys that were first year position coaches had spent
- 13:25Speaker 6: years in the system as coaching assistants before they got
- 13:29Speaker 6: you know, the actual job of wide.
- 13:30Speaker 4: Receivers coach or whatever it was.
- 13:32Speaker 6: Yeah, so you guys think it's you know, the locker
- 13:35Speaker 6: room stuff, policing the locker room like Fred was talking about,
- 13:38Speaker 6: do you think that what might make that a little
- 13:40Speaker 6: bit harder now was like sort of the offense defense dynamic.
- 13:43Speaker 5: Yeah, and I think just losing in general, and you
- 13:45Speaker 5: just you know, everybody kind of feels crappy when you're
- 13:48Speaker 5: losing and you start to just you know it's not working.
- 13:50Speaker 5: You're not maybe not resentful, but you're looking at other
- 13:53Speaker 5: guys being like these were not going to be together.
- 13:56Speaker 5: You know, just there's just bad vibes. It continues to
- 13:58Speaker 5: spiral on itself.
- 13:59Speaker 1: The message sched the message gets lost because all right,
- 14:04Speaker 1: you know I'm not seeing any results. You know, the
- 14:07Speaker 1: message resonates when you know you start getting results and
- 14:11Speaker 1: the players say, all right, I listened, I did what
- 14:13Speaker 1: he said, and look what happened. I'm playing well or
- 14:16Speaker 1: the team's playing well. But when you're not playing well,
- 14:19Speaker 1: those messages, you know, sound really hollow.
- 14:22Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, I mean I played on I think
- 14:23Speaker 5: one one or two bad hockey teams over high school college.
- 14:27Speaker 5: But I just remember that one in high school was
- 14:29Speaker 5: like where it was just couldn't wait for it to
- 14:32Speaker 5: be over. You know, you just you're sick of these guys.
- 14:35Speaker 5: You're kind of like bickering a lot with each other.
- 14:37Speaker 5: It's just bad vibes that didn't exist. Maybe necessarily at
- 14:40Speaker 5: the beginning of the season, but as you lose more games,
- 14:43Speaker 5: you get more frustrated. You point fingers at oh, he's
- 14:45Speaker 5: not doing this, he's not doing that. You know, this
- 14:47Speaker 5: guy's getting favoritism. Like it's just that's what losing does.
- 14:50Speaker 5: It just it makes everything worse.
- 14:52Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean, there's been a lot of reports last
- 14:54Speaker 7: couple of days that Mac has lost the locker room,
- 14:58Speaker 7: that people don't believe in Mac anymore in the locker room,
- 15:01Speaker 7: and to that point, like that twenty I think was
- 15:05Speaker 7: Andrew Callahan right that reported that, like which side of
- 15:08Speaker 7: the locker room are you pulling?
- 15:09Speaker 10: Right?
- 15:10Speaker 7: Because if you're pulling a lot of defensive players, then
- 15:12Speaker 7: I can understand why a lot of those guys are
- 15:14Speaker 7: probably looking at it, like why it brought up. We've
- 15:16Speaker 7: been good for two years or at least you know,
- 15:19Speaker 7: a team that's representative on defense for two years, and
- 15:22Speaker 7: we're losing games because of the other side of the ball.
- 15:24Speaker 7: And you have guys that are veteran players, guys that
- 15:27Speaker 7: are playing through injuries, you know, guys that are banged up,
- 15:30Speaker 7: and they're all going out there and holding the Colls
- 15:32Speaker 7: to ten points. And then he can't even make a
- 15:34Speaker 7: throw to win a game at the end of the
- 15:36Speaker 7: game where he's guys wide open. It's only human nature,
- 15:40Speaker 7: you know, we're we're I'm saying, I'm out on Mac Jones.
- 15:43Speaker 7: I can't even imagine what some of the guys in
- 15:45Speaker 7: the locker room, feeld.
- 15:45Speaker 1: I want to ask you about that Callahanton, because I
- 15:47Speaker 1: had somebody and this is kind of like, you know,
- 15:50Speaker 1: inside journalism talk, but I think it's interesting. I hope
- 15:54Speaker 1: somebody came to my office today and said a person
- 15:57Speaker 1: should a writer should never use an unname source in
- 16:00Speaker 1: an opinion piece.
- 16:01Speaker 4: I tell Aaron to grow up.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Only in a in a reporting I said, what's the difference,
- 16:09Speaker 1: I said, you form your opinion based on sources. You know,
- 16:13Speaker 1: what's the difference whether it's an opinion piece or it's
- 16:17Speaker 1: a beat piece.
- 16:18Speaker 11: You know.
- 16:18Speaker 4: But I get frustrated with that.
- 16:20Speaker 6: A lot of people think like that, I'm just joking around, obviously,
- 16:23Speaker 6: but but no, a lot of people think that the
- 16:25Speaker 6: whole thing about you should never use an unnamed source.
- 16:28Speaker 4: That's like, well, you have to absolutely, absolutely, yeah, but
- 16:33Speaker 4: you just have.
- 16:34Speaker 1: To vet your sources and make sure. Now, in this case,
- 16:37Speaker 1: if only one person is saying that Mac lost the
- 16:39Speaker 1: locker room. I'd like to ask a couple other people,
- 16:42Speaker 1: you know, because now I'm basing my opinion on only
- 16:44Speaker 1: one other opinion.
- 16:45Speaker 6: And that's you know, that's the whole all the presidents meant.
- 16:47Speaker 6: You know, Yeah, the two you know, two sources.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Sources.
- 16:51Speaker 5: That's what struck me though. It's just like eighty eighty percent.
- 16:53Speaker 5: You're putting that number on it, like, yeah, how.
- 16:55Speaker 6: Can I possibly that's what someone told him, right, That's
- 16:59Speaker 6: what I always say, like, don't put numbers on it,
- 17:01Speaker 6: because now it's like an exact number, and that's something
- 17:03Speaker 6: that people can I didn't give his story.
- 17:05Speaker 4: But I heard him talking about it with Fred Fred
- 17:08Speaker 4: on the Touch or not fredru.
- 17:09Speaker 1: That would be about forty guys. Yeah, I don't believe
- 17:12Speaker 1: in Max.
- 17:12Speaker 6: I think he said that that's what he was told,
- 17:14Speaker 6: is that it's about eighty twenty right now of guys
- 17:17Speaker 6: that have that he's lost. It does seem like a
- 17:20Speaker 6: high number to me, but you know, I don't know.
- 17:24Speaker 6: I look at you know, Mike Giardi has sort of
- 17:27Speaker 6: talked about there are a lot of people that were
- 17:29Speaker 6: sort of out after the New Orleans game and couldn't
- 17:32Speaker 6: understand why he was continuing to get chances, which is
- 17:34Speaker 6: why I don't think there was a sort of a
- 17:38Speaker 6: line of thought that Bill taking him out. I think
- 17:40Speaker 6: Mike Reese said this on the Sports Hub on Tuesday
- 17:44Speaker 6: that it was an emotional decision, very unlike Bill to
- 17:47Speaker 6: make an emotional I don't think it was emotional at all.
- 17:50Speaker 6: I think he gave him chance after chance after chance,
- 17:54Speaker 6: and finally I was surprised it took as long as
- 17:57Speaker 6: it did. You know, we were sort of wondering after
- 17:59Speaker 6: the New Orleans game. He started getting questions after the
- 18:02Speaker 6: New Orleans game, is either starting quarterback moving forward? So
- 18:05Speaker 6: I don't think this was like a rash decision based
- 18:07Speaker 6: on one pick.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Well do you guys? Well no, I definitely don't think
- 18:11Speaker 1: it was based on one pick. But in that moment,
- 18:13Speaker 1: you have one drive left and you're gonna pull out
- 18:17Speaker 1: the backup. Who's cold? Been watching the game for fifty
- 18:21Speaker 1: you know, fifty eight minutes? Who's cold?
- 18:24Speaker 10: You know?
- 18:24Speaker 1: So I could see you you give Mack that last drive,
- 18:28Speaker 1: he doesn't do it, and then he doesn't start the
- 18:30Speaker 1: next game. That would make more sense, But.
- 18:32Speaker 4: Couldn't you make an honest argument.
- 18:35Speaker 6: Who do you think had a better chance of making
- 18:36Speaker 6: that drive, Zapi or Mac and saying Zappy, No, Well,
- 18:40Speaker 6: I think because I don't think I can't get any
- 18:42Speaker 6: chance of driving.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Actually I don't. I don't know. I think you could
- 18:45Speaker 1: make the argument either way.
- 18:47Speaker 6: The way that he came off the field, you guys
- 18:50Speaker 6: never would know this better than I would. The way
- 18:52Speaker 6: he came off the field, I would have said, there
- 18:54Speaker 6: is no possible way this.
- 18:56Speaker 1: But I getn't if I'm Bill O'Brien or Bill Belichick
- 18:59Speaker 1: said hey, put your head up, you're gonna have one
- 19:02Speaker 1: more chance. Yeah, you're gonna have one more chance.
- 19:04Speaker 4: I'll take my chances with the other.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Yeah. No. But I could make the argument either way
- 19:08Speaker 1: that you give him that last chance, and then if
- 19:13Speaker 1: you figure out for the Giants, who's your starter.
- 19:15Speaker 7: I think it could have gone. You could look at
- 19:17Speaker 7: one of two ways. Either you know that way. I
- 19:19Speaker 7: think it is a good argument. But I also think
- 19:22Speaker 7: at some point you have to send a message to
- 19:25Speaker 7: the rest of the team like okay, like enough is enough,
- 19:27Speaker 7: Like we're not gonna keep on running this guy out
- 19:29Speaker 7: there that clearly can't get the job done, and let's
- 19:32Speaker 7: at least see what somebody else can do. And I've
- 19:34Speaker 7: been against putting Zappie in the game more than anybody probably,
- 19:37Speaker 7: but at that moment, well, how fair?
- 19:40Speaker 1: How fair was it?
- 19:42Speaker 6: It wasn't It wasn' fair to Zappi, But I think
- 19:44Speaker 6: that it was more than fair to Mac. Yeah, I
- 19:47Speaker 6: think he had got more than more than enough chances.
- 19:50Speaker 5: Do you think it's significan yesterday that they had Mac
- 19:52Speaker 5: at the top of the reps or do you think
- 19:54Speaker 5: that that's just we don't want to upset the apple
- 19:56Speaker 5: cart before the weekend.
- 19:57Speaker 1: I think, to me, correction mode, that's saying we haven't
- 20:01Speaker 1: made a decision yet, so we're gonna stick with what
- 20:03Speaker 1: we have and then we'll see next week. Yeah, get back.
- 20:06Speaker 4: Yeah, I agree with that.
- 20:07Speaker 7: I think that it's you know, we were at semantics
- 20:10Speaker 7: debating this on catch twenty two. I think it's way
- 20:13Speaker 7: more of a story if we were out there yesterday
- 20:15Speaker 7: and daily Zappi was taking first.
- 20:16Speaker 1: And now you've got a whole week of that before
- 20:18Speaker 1: they get back here. Right, Yeah, yeah, you know so,
- 20:21Speaker 1: I think, and.
- 20:22Speaker 6: Then the locker room was probably only like seventy two
- 20:26Speaker 6: you know, don't don't ask me to math.
- 20:29Speaker 1: No, but I mean we got issues. We got problems.
- 20:32Speaker 5: You know, it's not that we can solve them. That's
- 20:34Speaker 5: not going to be for our tailors, you know.
- 20:37Speaker 1: And we're playing a team that is equally in trouble,
- 20:42Speaker 1: you know, a week from Sunday, and it's going to
- 20:44Speaker 1: be a fascinating game, not from a standpoint of good football,
- 20:48Speaker 1: but just dynamics, you know.
- 20:50Speaker 7: Boy, But if it's like the game of the year,
- 20:52Speaker 7: what if it has come out of it it's like
- 20:54Speaker 7: a thirty eight to thirty.
- 20:55Speaker 5: Five, five three, five to three?
- 20:58Speaker 4: Can you I guess you can score five?
- 21:00Speaker 1: I mean, can can you see any way that that
- 21:01Speaker 1: would be possible?
- 21:02Speaker 9: No?
- 21:03Speaker 1: Yeah, unless the Patriots defense just gives up, which they
- 21:09Speaker 1: haven't given any indication yet that they are going to.
- 21:11Speaker 4: But did you watch the Washington ya at all?
- 21:13Speaker 1: Well, listen, I think I think the Patriots defense.
- 21:17Speaker 4: Has held The defense has been fine, has held up.
- 21:19Speaker 4: The defense is fine, it's fine. I just think that.
- 21:24Speaker 7: Just looking I get it, like we all are probably
- 21:26Speaker 7: looking for cracks and looking for for quit in this team.
- 21:30Speaker 7: They've you know, going back to the Washington game and
- 21:33Speaker 7: even going back to Miami game.
- 21:34Speaker 4: The amount of mental.
- 21:35Speaker 7: Errors that they've made the last like three or four
- 21:38Speaker 7: weeks on defense is telling like they I could have
- 21:41Speaker 7: used to count on like one hand over a three
- 21:44Speaker 7: week span, how many times they like busted a coverage?
- 21:47Speaker 7: Where are they just one guy was in there in
- 21:49Speaker 7: the wrong coverage and it was a completely wide open receiver.
- 21:52Speaker 7: That's now happened like a handful of times. You know
- 21:55Speaker 7: Jalen Waddle on the touchdown the wheel route last week,
- 21:58Speaker 7: where you know the guy drop the ball down the
- 22:00Speaker 7: sideline as another busted coverage. The Commander's game, the cross
- 22:05Speaker 7: body throw by Sam Hallell across the field, that was
- 22:07Speaker 7: another busted coverage. Like you're just talking about plays like
- 22:10Speaker 7: that where mentally it doesn't seem like they're as locked
- 22:14Speaker 7: in as they know.
- 22:15Speaker 6: The tackling I thought was really especially the Washington game,
- 22:18Speaker 6: and it wasn't just guys are missing in the open field.
- 22:21Speaker 6: It's like they have them and then they're just sort
- 22:23Speaker 6: of like shrugging you off, like that that quarterback.
- 22:26Speaker 5: That quarterback runs it's promising, promising to diving, diving for
- 22:31Speaker 5: his shoulders.
- 22:32Speaker 1: But I don't but I.
- 22:33Speaker 6: Don't believe that effort. I mean, we're taking the totality
- 22:37Speaker 6: of the ten games. I don't believe effort has been
- 22:39Speaker 6: a big problem.
- 22:40Speaker 1: So no, you know, over the years when we had
- 22:42Speaker 1: the newspaper, we used to do the mid season awards,
- 22:45Speaker 1: you know, because the buye usually happened. You know, let's
- 22:48Speaker 1: let's go through that exercise. And I know it's we're
- 22:50Speaker 1: a little further than halfway, but you know, we're kind of.
- 22:53Speaker 4: I chose to do them in the notes for the league,
- 22:57Speaker 4: not only because.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Yeah, you know with two and eight, so two and
- 23:01Speaker 1: eight it's tough, but you know, let's go, let's go
- 23:03Speaker 1: down the line. So so far, Rookie of.
- 23:05Speaker 7: The Yearnzales, Yeah, tomorrow Douglas, I agree, I don Gonzales
- 23:11Speaker 7: would have been, but yeah, you get.
- 23:12Speaker 1: Hurt if you don't play it. I say, you.
- 23:14Speaker 5: Guys are probably still that's that would be my pick.
- 23:17Speaker 5: But I think he's like long term. I mean, I
- 23:19Speaker 5: love Pop Douglas and I think he's he's a piece
- 23:21Speaker 5: of the puzzle. But I feel like Gonzales is like,
- 23:23Speaker 5: that's like you have an actual protection star player.
- 23:26Speaker 1: I mean, you do, but he didn't learn it this year. Yeah,
- 23:28Speaker 1: I mean, you can't make the club from the top, right,
- 23:31Speaker 1: So he played.
- 23:32Speaker 4: It's one of those two three and a half. Yeah,
- 23:34Speaker 4: and the other guy played nine.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Yeah. Defensive player of the half season Christian Barmore.
- 23:40Speaker 5: That's a good one. That's a good one. Yeah, really
- 23:43Speaker 5: coming on, I mean, I don't know. Yeah, I was
- 23:46Speaker 5: gonna say Peppers, I would say I would kind of
- 23:49Speaker 5: say bar Moore though, I mean, I think Peppers has
- 23:50Speaker 5: been good, but I just think.
- 23:51Speaker 7: Bar Moore is for the same Jabi Peppers over there.
- 23:54Speaker 5: But for the same reason. Though, I think this is
- 23:56Speaker 5: a guy you really need up front. I think he
- 23:58Speaker 5: can really make an impact. I mean, Bull Peppers, I
- 24:00Speaker 5: really like him.
- 24:01Speaker 4: Pick how much?
- 24:02Speaker 5: How much impact does he make per game?
- 24:04Speaker 12: Like?
- 24:04Speaker 5: I like his attitude and all that, but I feel
- 24:05Speaker 5: like Barmore can you know, really have a presence in
- 24:07Speaker 5: an area.
- 24:08Speaker 1: That he offensive Player of the half season of the
- 24:10Speaker 1: off season geez.
- 24:12Speaker 5: Shot, I don't know, Henry or pop shot.
- 24:16Speaker 4: David Andrews.
- 24:17Speaker 5: That's a good safe pick.
- 24:19Speaker 7: All of the chaos, David Andrews has been steady.
- 24:22Speaker 1: I know he's hurt now, but I think Douglas but
- 24:24Speaker 1: I think he played enough where I give it to
- 24:26Speaker 1: Kendrick Bourne one.
- 24:30Speaker 6: No, Yeah, I don't Okay, I had a couple of
- 24:32Speaker 6: good games here or there, but I'd probably go Douglas
- 24:36Speaker 6: over him, just because I would Douglas.
- 24:37Speaker 5: He's rising. But I get why I haven't said David Andrews.
- 24:42Speaker 5: I mean, I think if they didn't have him, it
- 24:43Speaker 5: might it might completely be off.
- 24:45Speaker 1: The righty and for his leadership too, you know. I
- 24:49Speaker 1: was like, yeah, what is some of the brown category brown?
- 24:55Speaker 1: How about come back play? Now Paul hates that one
- 24:58Speaker 1: come back player to come black player of the half season.
- 25:02Speaker 5: Oh it's not Phil O'Brien.
- 25:05Speaker 1: That's a coach, Mike right, coach right, comeback player of.
- 25:09Speaker 5: The who's come back?
- 25:11Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm trying to think.
- 25:12Speaker 5: I mean Michael when you he wasn't really gone last year.
- 25:15Speaker 5: He was gone one game.
- 25:18Speaker 1: I don't know, maybe we don't have one, you know,
- 25:23Speaker 1: so yeah, everybody's kind of back. What's the play of
- 25:28Speaker 1: the hof season?
- 25:30Speaker 4: Off the field goal Miami? Yeah, it was a great player.
- 25:33Speaker 5: I was.
- 25:34Speaker 4: I wasn't even being ironic, Okay, all right, I.
- 25:37Speaker 7: Would say the play that the season was Kendrick Bourne's
- 25:41Speaker 7: touchdown in Week one because at that moment, the offense
- 25:45Speaker 7: looked like, okay, we got.
- 25:48Speaker 4: That's the high watermark for the offense. It goes back
- 25:50Speaker 4: to back drives in the second.
- 25:51Speaker 7: Literally the most aesthetically pleasing play Dyve ran all year.
- 25:54Speaker 7: It happened in Week one.
- 25:55Speaker 1: For me, you know, because of like how we felt afterwards,
- 25:58Speaker 1: was the Kasickie catch for the touchdown.
- 26:02Speaker 5: It's not a great play, but just a great result.
- 26:04Speaker 4: I get it, and it was a great result. I
- 26:06Speaker 4: just felt like the season was over by that point.
- 26:08Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 26:09Speaker 1: I know that.
- 26:10Speaker 4: I know the path was open for a lot, but
- 26:12Speaker 4: it wasn't for me. It was open. It was wide open.
- 26:15Speaker 1: I mean I kind of lump all that like door Field,
- 26:18Speaker 1: want you in the face.
- 26:19Speaker 5: The Remondre run, the Hunter Henry third down pass, and
- 26:22Speaker 5: then the touchdown. If you all connected those, I mean,
- 26:24Speaker 5: that's probably the best sequence, but far and away.
- 26:27Speaker 6: I mean, there is no second for the best sequence,
- 26:30Speaker 6: win whatever you want to say everything.
- 26:32Speaker 4: Yeah, that fourth quarter of the Bills game.
- 26:36Speaker 1: What about the worst play of the off season?
- 26:38Speaker 4: That interception last week, no question, that's the worst player
- 26:43Speaker 4: of the last half cent.
- 26:44Speaker 5: Yeah, oh geez, yeah, I don't even know what would
- 26:48Speaker 5: be what would be second?
- 26:49Speaker 1: I mean, there's a lot to choose from, but I'm
- 26:51Speaker 1: not nothing really like rises. Well maybe that Mac throwback
- 26:54Speaker 1: across you took the words, but the second one, which
- 26:59Speaker 1: against Dallas. Expand upon that thought, Michael, I'm sorry, I'm
- 27:02Speaker 1: going to need more information.
- 27:03Speaker 5: Yeah, oh man, that throw back across his body. But
- 27:07Speaker 5: it's like, I mean, look at the theme of it though,
- 27:09Speaker 5: it's just these mistakes that like you just can't hand
- 27:12Speaker 5: for quarterback.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Like what's the headline of the half season the end
- 27:18Speaker 1: of Bill Belichick and Mac? The end is Bill's future? Yeah, yeah, and.
- 27:23Speaker 4: Now the end is near. Yeah, the end is here,
- 27:27Speaker 4: not near.
- 27:29Speaker 5: Any other categories you want to do, I mean they're
- 27:34Speaker 5: probably negative ones.
- 27:35Speaker 4: I mean, there is there an m VP of this team.
- 27:38Speaker 4: I don't. I don't.
- 27:39Speaker 5: I don't know, Yeah, I don't.
- 27:43Speaker 1: I mean that one.
- 27:44Speaker 5: I might say Peppers, like for the send you would
- 27:46Speaker 5: have Nickymore.
- 27:49Speaker 1: I might.
- 27:50Speaker 5: I might say Peppers. Just because he's brought you like him.
- 27:52Speaker 5: I love him more than I like him.
- 27:56Speaker 1: He is a good dude.
- 27:57Speaker 5: He's a good guy. I mean, I want to make
- 27:59Speaker 5: fun of you, but he's a good I mean, I
- 28:00Speaker 5: I also just am speaking to the loss of Judon
- 28:05Speaker 5: was like monumental for off the field entertainment. And I
- 28:07Speaker 5: feel like Pepper's has at least given us a little
- 28:09Speaker 5: bit of just you know, personality and you know, some
- 28:12Speaker 5: fun and you know, and some hard hits and all
- 28:15Speaker 5: that kind of stuff.
- 28:15Speaker 1: What does that mean from No Socks?
- 28:17Speaker 6: Oh okay, so he's such a jerk. So he claims
- 28:21Speaker 6: that you you might not remember this seven because you
- 28:25Speaker 6: were probably like two. There was a game that the
- 28:28Speaker 6: Patriots lost to Pittsburgh on a Saturday night in Foxboro,
- 28:32Speaker 6: the Old Stadium. They had the game at the end,
- 28:34Speaker 6: they were trying to get a couple of first downs.
- 28:37Speaker 6: They threw a screen bled Soe threw out against Pittsburgh.
- 28:40Speaker 6: Kevan Henry picked it off and they ended up winning,
- 28:46Speaker 6: a really bad loss for the Patriots.
- 28:48Speaker 4: And No Socks says, that was the only throw we
- 28:51Speaker 4: ever saw that was worse.
- 28:52Speaker 1: And I was like.
- 28:55Speaker 6: Defensive lineman picking off a screen pass. Like screen passes,
- 28:58Speaker 6: you don't look at your target, you know, run the
- 29:00Speaker 6: play and you.
- 29:01Speaker 4: Just throw it.
- 29:02Speaker 7: Not supposed to be there, it comes. Here comes the
- 29:04Speaker 7: Drew defense.
- 29:06Speaker 6: I could give you eight hundred picks by Drew. There
- 29:09Speaker 6: were a lot worse than that. One's Drew a lot
- 29:11Speaker 6: worse because he threw.
- 29:11Speaker 1: A lot of picks for for many teams.
- 29:14Speaker 6: He did, You are correct, But anyway, Matt has been
- 29:17Speaker 6: busting my balls about that particular throw all week, and
- 29:20Speaker 6: he keeps sending me into orbit with it.
- 29:22Speaker 5: I'm gonna have to look it up.
- 29:23Speaker 1: What was young Ryland's best field goal of the hot season?
- 29:27Speaker 1: Oh gosh, I knew it. It was here.
- 29:29Speaker 5: There was a fifty was that buffalo?
- 29:33Speaker 4: I think it might too many? But a great kick?
- 29:36Speaker 12: That was?
- 29:37Speaker 5: Yeah, that one went threw the uprights, it was perfect.
- 29:44Speaker 4: Split the upright.
- 29:45Speaker 5: Bearinger's best punt to get.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Back, yeah, I did. It's too far.
- 29:51Speaker 4: He doesn't now kick his coverage though.
- 29:52Speaker 1: So if anyone wants to add to what we've said
- 29:55Speaker 1: or come up with their own category.
- 29:57Speaker 7: Let's play nice, all right, don't be too mean, you can.
- 30:00Speaker 6: How about the forty something yard play to Douglas in Dallas?
- 30:04Speaker 6: There was for like, there was like the best play
- 30:07Speaker 6: kind of thing.
- 30:08Speaker 7: Yeah, well, except two guys ran into each other.
- 30:12Speaker 4: Don't with details the hair the sixty four yard run
- 30:16Speaker 4: for ven So that was a good.
- 30:18Speaker 1: Yeah, that was a good one. Yep.
- 30:19Speaker 6: You when I called him gone gone upon the handoff
- 30:21Speaker 6: being completed, he is gone.
- 30:24Speaker 4: He was good run. I was like, she's gone.
- 30:27Speaker 1: I think for a long time that I can't remember
- 30:31Speaker 1: a running back on this team running for that long
- 30:33Speaker 1: and not getting caught from behind.
- 30:36Speaker 5: Yeah, the like Lagair Blunt twenty fourteen, maybe against the cold.
- 30:39Speaker 6: So the long ones, the whatever game in Buffalo, the
- 30:43Speaker 6: wind Oh right, har Harris had a long one, Right.
- 30:47Speaker 5: I have kind of one. Just who are you most
- 30:49Speaker 5: disappointed in?
- 30:51Speaker 1: Oh, let's let's start the list. This is the most
- 30:55Speaker 1: I think, well, Max up top, most disappointed. I'm disappointed.
- 31:01Speaker 1: There's a lot of cameras.
- 31:02Speaker 5: You're not mad at them?
- 31:06Speaker 1: Juju Juju, Yeah.
- 31:07Speaker 6: Because I didn't think Juju was an upgrade over Myers,
- 31:11Speaker 6: and you were still disappointed. But I didn't think you
- 31:14Speaker 6: thought it would be about even man, I thought it was.
- 31:16Speaker 6: I thought it was a wash at best, and if
- 31:18Speaker 6: and if he didn't fit in, it could be worse.
- 31:21Speaker 6: I didn't think it was going.
- 31:22Speaker 9: To be this.
- 31:22Speaker 5: Yeah, now it's like, how do we get out of it?
- 31:24Speaker 4: I'm most disappointed in Bill O'Brien.
- 31:26Speaker 7: Yeah, that was where I was, because when you start,
- 31:29Speaker 7: even though I knew it wouldn't be great, I thought
- 31:32Speaker 7: it would at least be NFL caliber, and he's got
- 31:38Speaker 7: to take some of the blame for Mac falling apart.
- 31:40Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, he does.
- 31:42Speaker 1: How about Thornton, Oh, that's another good one.
- 31:44Speaker 4: I don't know if I had any hope.
- 31:46Speaker 6: That's why, Like you know, when you start saying some
- 31:48Speaker 6: of these guys, that's kind of how I like, I'm
- 31:51Speaker 6: not all that disappointed in Mac and and I would
- 31:54Speaker 6: put Thornton close to that because I wasn't really expecting
- 31:57Speaker 6: this huge meteoric rise.
- 31:59Speaker 4: Okay, so, but they have been disappointing.
- 32:01Speaker 1: Here's the next category. Biggest surprise, Now Tomaria Douglas. We
- 32:07Speaker 1: saw he's by far, but we saw things in training
- 32:10Speaker 1: camp that's like, wow, they're using them a lot. Okay,
- 32:13Speaker 1: so let's let's eliminate him because like we were seeing
- 32:16Speaker 1: indications that this guy might be someone that they're gonna use.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Who else, Like once the season started, who's been your
- 32:23Speaker 1: biggest positive surprise?
- 32:25Speaker 5: I Mean, this isn't a sexy one, but I'm kind
- 32:27Speaker 5: of surprised that guy and Godshaw have played as stout
- 32:30Speaker 5: as they could and they haven't really fallen off as
- 32:33Speaker 5: far as run defense.
- 32:33Speaker 1: That's good.
- 32:34Speaker 5: I kind of thought this year that like this could
- 32:36Speaker 5: be when it finally turns with them, and you know
- 32:39Speaker 5: it's not enough. You can't just have good run defenders.
- 32:41Speaker 5: But I'm they've they've played hard, they've played well. I
- 32:45Speaker 5: don't think they've really you know, a couple of instances
- 32:47Speaker 5: they've gotten run on, but but they haven't gotten run
- 32:49Speaker 5: over much this season, So I good for them. I mean,
- 32:51Speaker 5: I was looking at we got to rebuild those guys,
- 32:53Speaker 5: and I mean I think god shall be here a bit.
- 32:55Speaker 5: But but they played, they played pretty well.
- 32:57Speaker 1: Minus Pepper's again, Yeah, I think he's one, yeah.
- 33:02Speaker 4: The highest graded player on defense.
- 33:06Speaker 1: The p f F. Okay, it's almost like.
- 33:09Speaker 4: You can watch for a while.
- 33:11Speaker 1: For a while, Jennings was trending for me, but he's
- 33:14Speaker 1: kind of fallen off a little bit.
- 33:15Speaker 4: Surprised me too, Jennings has been pretty.
- 33:17Speaker 5: Yes, I think he's just confirmed to me that he
- 33:19Speaker 5: could be what I thought he was, which is a
- 33:21Speaker 5: good strong stout And you're not going.
- 33:25Speaker 1: To get much more on him.
- 33:26Speaker 5: But look, I said i'd be able to bring him
- 33:27Speaker 5: back as death count absolutely counts.
- 33:32Speaker 7: Has he done enough because I mean he qualifies, like
- 33:37Speaker 7: in terms of like I'm not talking about it.
- 33:38Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm not talking about statistically.
- 33:40Speaker 5: I would say, no, Okay, I think he does.
- 33:43Speaker 4: I will accept the ruling. Yeah, I will not.
- 33:46Speaker 5: I think he's gotten a few teams on a few times,
- 33:48Speaker 5: but it's not like he's a dynamic piece that every
- 33:50Speaker 5: week is going to be involved.
- 33:51Speaker 4: In because they don't feed him.
- 33:54Speaker 1: On the disappointment one. On the disappointment when we kind
- 33:58Speaker 1: of left out even though he was also involved in
- 34:00Speaker 1: the best play for me, it was Kiki, Like I
- 34:02Speaker 1: thought we'd see a little bit more disappointing.
- 34:04Speaker 4: Yeah, good, good one.
- 34:07Speaker 7: I thought about that with this about Kasiki, and not
- 34:11Speaker 7: to like blame everything on Mac, but like the seems
- 34:14Speaker 7: just are not open for this quarterback.
- 34:17Speaker 4: It's not he's just.
- 34:17Speaker 6: Stopped doing it. How many stopped doing it? But he should,
- 34:20Speaker 6: Yeah he should. He cannot throw that pass and my guy,
- 34:23Speaker 6: but on this since he.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Was a rookie.
- 34:24Speaker 4: Yeah, so that's tough. That always, But that's a that's
- 34:29Speaker 4: a good one.
- 34:29Speaker 6: Like we'll go back to what we thought, you know
- 34:31Speaker 6: heading in and you know, I may have been you know,
- 34:34Speaker 6: critical of Juju for Myers, but I was not critical
- 34:38Speaker 6: of Kasiki for John who and I said, no, I
- 34:41Speaker 6: can see I'm with the fans on this one. I
- 34:44Speaker 6: think that's an upgrade. It hasn't been. He's the same
- 34:46Speaker 6: as John O was here. Yeah, he's kind of a non.
- 34:48Speaker 7: Factor and June you look it's it's it's Jen.
- 34:54Speaker 1: I like ju jus that all right, let's open it
- 34:57Speaker 1: up to the callers. Well, art with Alan in Canada
- 35:02Speaker 1: on the ACE ticket hot line. What's up.
- 35:06Speaker 12: Yeah, it's a first time, long time.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 35:11Speaker 12: I usually take the drive down nine hours from where
- 35:14Speaker 12: I live and I go see a Patriots game every year.
- 35:18Speaker 12: This year I had the unfortunate circumstance to come and
- 35:22Speaker 12: see the Saints.
- 35:24Speaker 1: So you're looking for your money this season?
- 35:28Speaker 12: Yeah, I had fun, but you know I've seen better games.
- 35:33Speaker 12: Looking at the reality of where we are, I think
- 35:37Speaker 12: last game is the perfect game if we could have
- 35:41Speaker 12: the same scenario for the rest of the year, meaning
- 35:44Speaker 12: that the defense is playing somewhat well, knowing that we
- 35:48Speaker 12: have good players coming back, and the offense is in
- 35:54Speaker 12: reality good enough to be in there at the end
- 35:58Speaker 12: of the game and then ash and burn at the
- 36:01Speaker 12: last second and lose the game. Basically, that's what I
- 36:04Speaker 12: want to see for the rest of the season, because
- 36:08Speaker 12: you know, there's no hope in this season and at
- 36:10Speaker 12: least with this type of game that we just had.
- 36:13Speaker 12: At least I watched the whole thing when I came
- 36:15Speaker 12: and seeing the Saints. You know, people were leaving at halftime.
- 36:20Speaker 10: So.
- 36:22Speaker 4: Yeah, I think there would have been people leaving at
- 36:24Speaker 4: halftime that.
- 36:26Speaker 12: We have a home that we can actually win a
- 36:28Speaker 12: game and then still lose it and get a good draft.
- 36:31Speaker 1: I want to have my heart. I want to get
- 36:32Speaker 1: I want to heart ripped out everybody. I still lose it.
- 36:35Speaker 7: Part of it that that's taking one on one right there.
- 36:38Speaker 7: Enough hope that I know we got something with the
- 36:40Speaker 7: roster that isn't completed.
- 36:41Speaker 4: Yeah, and I get I get Allen's points.
- 36:44Speaker 6: I just would say, like, can we play a little
- 36:47Speaker 6: bit more of an entertaining kind of game, Like do
- 36:49Speaker 6: we have to see more of Bryce Barrener.
- 36:50Speaker 4: Than anybody else?
- 36:51Speaker 6: Because this is what Bill wants like I would want.
- 36:54Speaker 6: I would like to think you can find a way
- 36:56Speaker 6: to lose a game. You know, I don't know twenty
- 36:59Speaker 6: four twenty one, so at least you have some offense
- 37:02Speaker 6: like twenty seventeen, seventeenth thirty.
- 37:06Speaker 7: Don't get, don't get this game in Germany is exactly
- 37:09Speaker 7: how he wants to play football, Like.
- 37:11Speaker 6: If I have to watch that game eight more times,
- 37:13Speaker 6: Oh my gosh, I don't know if I'll make the
- 37:15Speaker 6: Giants game might be Yeah, the Giants game unprepared for.
- 37:17Speaker 4: I actually think the Patriots are.
- 37:19Speaker 1: Gonna kill them als in Wisconsin? What's up?
- 37:21Speaker 4: Al?
- 37:23Speaker 13: Hey, how you guys doing all right?
- 37:24Speaker 1: Yeah, so I've got to thanks.
- 37:27Speaker 13: I'll try to be quick with it. The first thing
- 37:30Speaker 13: is a challenge callers. You're gonna call and talk about
- 37:35Speaker 13: Drake May and Caleb Williams. Come with a take, not
- 37:39Speaker 13: just hey, who do you guys want? Drake Way, Drake May,
- 37:43Speaker 13: Caleb Williams because I can't hear that.
- 37:47Speaker 5: Oh neither can we.
- 37:48Speaker 4: Yeah, it's gonna be man.
- 37:52Speaker 11: The second thing is maybe talking to your phone, you guys,
- 37:57Speaker 11: what do you guys.
- 37:58Speaker 13: Take out of the.
- 38:02Speaker 12: Bill?
- 38:03Speaker 13: I haven't even decided on where he's going to be
- 38:05Speaker 13: max If I'm a player and.
- 38:07Speaker 1: I see that, like, yeah, whose report was that?
- 38:13Speaker 4: Said it? It wasn't a report. Since walked it back
- 38:17Speaker 4: because I think I.
- 38:17Speaker 6: Think he has sort of gotten a lesson about journalism
- 38:21Speaker 6: a little bit, like you can't just say things.
- 38:23Speaker 5: Yeah, I saw San Diego or Chargers.
- 38:26Speaker 1: Well Gary Myers, who had a report a couple of days,
- 38:32Speaker 1: you know, it's he's followed up with this whole thing.
- 38:36Speaker 1: And I gotta say, I think Gary meyers initial report
- 38:39Speaker 1: hit the nail on the head. I think I think
- 38:41Speaker 1: that's exactly what what did that say? It said that,
- 38:46Speaker 1: you know, the Patriots, this is going to be it.
- 38:48Speaker 1: The Patriots are going to continue to pay him, and
- 38:51Speaker 1: if another team comes calling, there'll be compensation that the
- 38:54Speaker 1: Patriots will ask for.
- 38:56Speaker 7: Uh, but that this is it so basically like he'll
- 39:00Speaker 7: step away from coaching like Sean Payton.
- 39:03Speaker 1: Yeah, but he'll still be under contract. He'll be paid.
- 39:08Speaker 5: But you know, I thought, for me, the first thing
- 39:10Speaker 5: I thought it was Bill versus the Chargers social media
- 39:13Speaker 5: team would be just.
- 39:15Speaker 1: World war even thought of it.
- 39:18Speaker 4: That's awesome.
- 39:18Speaker 6: And I don't you know, I don't like to advocate
- 39:22Speaker 6: for people losing jobs, but house, if he got that
- 39:26Speaker 6: job and I was on that social media team, I'd
- 39:29Speaker 6: be punching up the old resume.
- 39:31Speaker 1: But if your Bill, and like, you know, do you
- 39:36Speaker 1: come into a new situation like that.
- 39:38Speaker 5: And say I don't have time. I got two years here,
- 39:43Speaker 5: I just gotta I just got to get Justin Herbert
- 39:46Speaker 5: to play you know, sound football.
- 39:48Speaker 4: So fred, I want to go back to the Gary
- 39:49Speaker 4: Myers thing. So do you think.
- 39:55Speaker 14: So?
- 39:55Speaker 4: Do you do you think that Bill wants to coach
- 39:57Speaker 4: next year?
- 39:59Speaker 10: I do?
- 40:01Speaker 4: Do you think that?
- 40:03Speaker 6: Let's just play it out and so he's going to
- 40:08Speaker 6: step aside or he's not going to force Robert to
- 40:11Speaker 6: fire him. He's gonna say I don't want to coach.
- 40:15Speaker 6: Oh yeah, like he's gonna do what Peyton did. I know,
- 40:18Speaker 6: but I don't want to coach you, right, But you
- 40:21Speaker 6: know right, that's what Peyton did. Peyton wanted to keep coaching.
- 40:24Speaker 1: You can't.
- 40:25Speaker 4: He didn't want to He didn't want to continue to coach.
- 40:27Speaker 1: Just like you can't force somebody to make you work,
- 40:30Speaker 1: you can't force somebody to fire you. Like if they
- 40:32Speaker 1: say we're not firing you, you're just not going to
- 40:34Speaker 1: coach anymore, that's okay.
- 40:36Speaker 4: But if if Bill wants to coach, then you have
- 40:39Speaker 4: to fire him, is my point?
- 40:40Speaker 1: No, you do, yes, you do. You just take away
- 40:42Speaker 1: his responsibilities.
- 40:44Speaker 4: Then you have to pay him. That's breach of content.
- 40:46Speaker 1: They are going to pay him, But why his job
- 40:51Speaker 1: is going to be to go to anti they are
- 40:52Speaker 1: going to.
- 40:53Speaker 4: Pay if he wants to continue to coach here, right,
- 40:57Speaker 4: and they don't let him do that, Yeah, then you
- 41:00Speaker 4: fired him, but not if you're still paying him. So
- 41:04Speaker 4: then you're telling him he can't coach anywhere else.
- 41:06Speaker 1: No, unless they give compensation. Correct.
- 41:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't see that all happening now.
- 41:13Speaker 1: The question now, but it's a good question because what
- 41:15Speaker 1: I was thinking this out, how much how much compensation
- 41:19Speaker 1: can you demand before the league steps in and says, whoa, whoa, whoa,
- 41:22Speaker 1: you're being unreasonable. This guy has a right to work.
- 41:25Speaker 1: You know you're asking and I'm just gonna throw out
- 41:27Speaker 1: a number just to be crazy. But you're asking for
- 41:30Speaker 1: four first round picks. That's unreasonable, and you're you're barring
- 41:33Speaker 1: this guy from his livelihood even though you're paying him.
- 41:36Speaker 1: He wants to work, and you're not allowing him because
- 41:39Speaker 1: four first round picks is not reasonable the league. I
- 41:44Speaker 1: think in this case when it was Parcels going to
- 41:48Speaker 1: the Jets from here, and I think the league determined
- 41:52Speaker 1: what the reasonable compensation would be, but I think the
- 41:55Speaker 1: Patriots would have to abide by it.
- 41:57Speaker 4: But what I'm asking, what if he wants to coach
- 42:00Speaker 4: the Patriots.
- 42:01Speaker 5: Yeah, well, you know, not an option.
- 42:03Speaker 4: Not an option, then then you can't stop him, and
- 42:06Speaker 4: you can't demand compensation.
- 42:08Speaker 1: I think you can.
- 42:09Speaker 4: They're breaching the contract Fred Parcel.
- 42:12Speaker 1: It was the same thing with parts.
- 42:13Speaker 4: Parcells didn't want to coach the Patriots.
- 42:15Speaker 1: But he wanted to coach elsewhere, right.
- 42:18Speaker 4: And Bill doesn't in this scenario. This is hypothetical, I know,
- 42:21Speaker 4: I know.
- 42:22Speaker 1: I think though, just just like a coach doesn't want
- 42:26Speaker 1: to coach anymore, a team can say we don't want
- 42:29Speaker 1: you to coach anymore, but we're gonna pay you.
- 42:31Speaker 4: So that right, But then you can't have both.
- 42:34Speaker 6: But if he wants to continue to coach the Patriots
- 42:36Speaker 6: and you won't let him, that ends the contract. That's
- 42:40Speaker 6: firing him, so you don't have to pay him, mate,
- 42:43Speaker 6: but he gets to go wherever he wants. Now, I
- 42:46Speaker 6: think you're probably right. I think Bill, this is kind
- 42:49Speaker 6: of on you know, hasn't really been talked about. As
- 42:52Speaker 6: part of this is how much does Bill want to stay?
- 42:54Speaker 1: Well, that's the thing.
- 42:55Speaker 6: Maybe he doesn't want to stay anymore either, So in
- 42:58Speaker 6: that case then you could do what friends.
- 42:59Speaker 1: And I I think that you know, maybe it is
- 43:01Speaker 1: brinksmanship on both sides parts. But if the you know,
- 43:05Speaker 1: like I'm sure that the Crafts know whether Bill wants
- 43:07Speaker 1: to stay or go, Yeah, and they're probably strategized like
- 43:12Speaker 1: he wants to go.
- 43:13Speaker 4: You think they've had conversations about this already. Yes, I
- 43:16Speaker 4: don't know.
- 43:17Speaker 1: I don't.
- 43:17Speaker 4: I don't know either.
- 43:18Speaker 1: I don't know. Why do you say yes?
- 43:21Speaker 4: Because I don't.
- 43:23Speaker 7: I learned with Brady the hard way that none of
- 43:25Speaker 7: this stuff happens overnight at good point.
- 43:28Speaker 4: And I just think that.
- 43:30Speaker 7: Brady, I think knew that twenty nineteen was his last
- 43:34Speaker 7: season with the Patriots, the.
- 43:35Speaker 4: Entire year, and he told us that in the summer. Yeah,
- 43:39Speaker 4: And I think that it's the same with Bill.
- 43:42Speaker 7: And in some ways that almost makes me feel better
- 43:45Speaker 7: about what's happened, because the only explanation I can have
- 43:48Speaker 7: of why he just let this whole thing just crumble
- 43:51Speaker 7: to the ground is because he wasn't trying to be.
- 43:53Speaker 1: But let's just let's play you know, strategy here, and
- 43:57Speaker 1: let's say Paul's correct, A team can't stop a guy
- 44:00Speaker 1: who wants to coach. But let's it but without firing, right,
- 44:04Speaker 1: without fire. But let's say Bill, Let's say the Chargers. Okay,
- 44:08Speaker 1: just to name of team. Let's say Bill wants to
- 44:10Speaker 1: go to the Chargers. He's already even had backdoor conversations
- 44:14Speaker 1: with the Chargers like yeah, I want to go coach you.
- 44:19Speaker 1: But he doesn't want to go in in his first
- 44:22Speaker 1: year not having that first round draft pick that the
- 44:24Speaker 1: Chargers would have to give up. So he plays brinksmanship
- 44:27Speaker 1: with the Crafts and said, no, I want to stay,
- 44:29Speaker 1: you know I And like, how, like I.
- 44:33Speaker 4: Really think he's going to get a first round pick.
- 44:34Speaker 1: Huh.
- 44:35Speaker 5: That's what my question is, just what is a realistic
- 44:37Speaker 5: conversation for this.
- 44:38Speaker 7: I don't know if he will get a first round pick,
- 44:41Speaker 7: but that I'm holding a hard line on that. If
- 44:43Speaker 7: I'm Robert Kraft, like, I'm not giving him up.
- 44:46Speaker 6: But that's part of the brinksmanship that Fred's talking about.
- 44:49Speaker 6: You can do that, then you run the risks and
- 44:51Speaker 6: saying Okay, I'll stay. Yeah, but you don't want him
- 44:53Speaker 6: to stay.
- 44:54Speaker 1: Right, You don't want him And that's why, to Evan's point,
- 44:58Speaker 1: I think maybe it's better to just get it out
- 45:01Speaker 1: in the open with the guy, right.
- 45:02Speaker 6: And I think that's what all of this stuff is
- 45:03Speaker 6: an effort to do I think that, you know, like
- 45:05Speaker 6: to your point, you think Gary Myers might have it right, Well,
- 45:09Speaker 6: I don't think Gary Meyers just pulled it out of
- 45:10Speaker 6: the air. I think he's probably talking to some people.
- 45:12Speaker 1: Yeah, but I think maybe it's better that they did
- 45:17Speaker 1: already have that that talk.
- 45:19Speaker 5: So, Paul, you're not gonna let me imagine a fantasy
- 45:21Speaker 5: LAMB where we get a first round pick for Bill Belichick.
- 45:23Speaker 4: No, I have no idea. Maybe they will.
- 45:26Speaker 6: I mean I find it maybe the Chargers because that
- 45:29Speaker 6: will probably be around twenty, So I mean, maybe that
- 45:32Speaker 6: could happen, like the Bears ain't given you one now, but.
- 45:35Speaker 7: The Commanders would be around the same, like fifteen to
- 45:37Speaker 7: twenty probably where they're going.
- 45:39Speaker 6: I just think that I told you my sources in
- 45:41Speaker 6: Washington say that Washington is not interested in Bill. I
- 45:45Speaker 6: don't know if that's true, but you know, with my source,
- 45:48Speaker 6: I don't want to say sources.
- 45:49Speaker 1: I only had one with the with the Belichick from
- 45:52Speaker 1: the Jets to hear Belichick didn't want to coach there.
- 45:55Speaker 1: They wanted him to, but he said, I'm not coaching
- 45:57Speaker 1: for you with parcels. Both parties didn't wanted parcels didn't
- 46:01Speaker 1: want to coach here anymore, and the Crafts didn't want
- 46:03Speaker 1: him to coach here anymore either, but they wanted compensation.
- 46:07Speaker 5: Right, Yeah, right, I think I think that is the precedent.
- 46:13Speaker 5: I was thinking a lot about it last night. And
- 46:15Speaker 5: I don't know about you guys, but don't you just
- 46:17Speaker 5: like I feel like it's going to be yourub Mayo, Like, right,
- 46:21Speaker 5: it's got to be your Mayo.
- 46:22Speaker 12: Right.
- 46:22Speaker 5: I'm not saying I'm I'm you know, one hundred percent Condonia,
- 46:25Speaker 5: but like.
- 46:25Speaker 4: I would certainly say that that's what the indications look like.
- 46:28Speaker 4: I'm Here's the thing.
- 46:30Speaker 1: Here's the thing is, you know we talked about, well,
- 46:33Speaker 1: you know, the Patriots never fire a coach in mid season,
- 46:36Speaker 1: but teams do that, and they have done that, and
- 46:38Speaker 1: just one of the reasons they do that is so
- 46:40Speaker 1: that they get ahead start on the off season. You know.
- 46:44Speaker 1: So I would imagine that if if it is the
- 46:48Speaker 1: Craft you know, uh, endgame to have a new regime,
- 46:53Speaker 1: they got to move fast. They got to move fast
- 46:56Speaker 1: because you got the Senior Bowl and the you know,
- 46:59Speaker 1: you've got to have people in place that are going
- 47:02Speaker 1: to go and start that scouting process leading up to
- 47:05Speaker 1: the draft. You can't wait around, I think it, and
- 47:08Speaker 1: that might be the quickest way to get going.
- 47:11Speaker 4: So and I also will say, like some of these things,
- 47:14Speaker 4: there's two different things.
- 47:14Speaker 1: I agree with you.
- 47:15Speaker 4: The bet the faster you can do it, the better.
- 47:17Speaker 6: But that's why a lot of these teams that make
- 47:19Speaker 6: these transitions keep the scouting department in place. And Belichick
- 47:22Speaker 6: himself did it here. Bobby Greer didn't get fired until
- 47:25Speaker 6: after the draft, so back in two thousand, because all
- 47:29Speaker 6: that work and all that prep is done by those
- 47:31Speaker 6: guys that are in personnel.
- 47:32Speaker 1: Now.
- 47:32Speaker 4: I think Macro will still be here too, you know,
- 47:35Speaker 4: and he may go after the draft if you know,
- 47:38Speaker 4: they want to clean it all out.
- 47:39Speaker 1: I don't know. I I agree. I always thought it
- 47:43Speaker 1: was interesting that we have Matt grow and Elliott Wolf.
- 47:47Speaker 1: I figured by now Elliott Wolf would be gone to
- 47:50Speaker 1: another team, you know.
- 47:54Speaker 5: Uh yeah, I was also I was thinking, like, who
- 47:56Speaker 5: does Bill take if he were to go to the Chargers?
- 47:58Speaker 5: Did like well, but but but but seriously though, like
- 48:01Speaker 5: and I thought about that, But you know, these are
- 48:02Speaker 5: both two young guys with young families that are this
- 48:06Speaker 5: is all they know is living in New England. I
- 48:08Speaker 5: mean it's not just like all right, Steve Bryant, we're
- 48:09Speaker 5: going to like it's a that's a hard that's.
- 48:11Speaker 4: A hard see like the l a thing for that,
- 48:14Speaker 4: Like it just doesn't strike me as.
- 48:15Speaker 1: Like and I just the charges only because that was
- 48:20Speaker 1: the number one he sets the number one on that
- 48:22Speaker 1: list and his follow up story he mentioned the charge.
- 48:25Speaker 4: I saw the tweet.
- 48:27Speaker 5: I just like the fit of what they have there,
- 48:29Speaker 5: of what that team's kind of persona is. And it
- 48:32Speaker 5: feels like if Bill Belichick, and I'm talking about the
- 48:35Speaker 5: proverbial Bill Belichick, not Bill Belichick right now, like could
- 48:38Speaker 5: come in and and still discipline into a team and
- 48:41Speaker 5: get them all, you know, like they do anime to
- 48:44Speaker 5: kick a field goal, it's going to be anime. Oh boy,
- 48:47Speaker 5: oh boy, fire the But I thought the same thing too,
- 48:49Speaker 5: Fred that you said where it's like, if he goes
- 48:51Speaker 5: to a new place, does he have time and the
- 48:53Speaker 5: energy to do everything that he's put into place here
- 48:57Speaker 5: in terms of having everything under his thumb, Like do
- 48:59Speaker 5: you have that mental capacity now when you've got to
- 49:02Speaker 5: go into a new team and like you got to win,
- 49:04Speaker 5: like you got you can't just come in and spend
- 49:05Speaker 5: your your half your first day, like going through like
- 49:08Speaker 5: the social media productions and being like this isn't gonna
- 49:11Speaker 5: work for me now, you know, Like it just seems
- 49:13Speaker 5: like I don't know, it's gonna be hard for him.
- 49:15Speaker 1: I can't see the Chargers and and you know, we
- 49:17Speaker 1: could all be wrong. Maybe because it doesn't want to
- 49:19Speaker 1: coach anymore. Maybe the Crafts pay him, you know, out
- 49:22Speaker 1: of contract as thank you for your service. Yeah, and
- 49:25Speaker 1: that's it.
- 49:26Speaker 7: I think I can't see the Chargers for two reasons. One,
- 49:30Speaker 7: I think if you're the Chargers, you have to get
- 49:33Speaker 7: an offensive minded head coach for Justin Herbert because you
- 49:37Speaker 7: just did it with a defensive guy and it's it's
- 49:39Speaker 7: not good enough. He's good enough, but the rest of
- 49:42Speaker 7: it's not good enough. And I still don't know if
- 49:46Speaker 7: the spanis Is are gonna pay him, right, And so
- 49:48Speaker 7: if the Crafts are still paying Bill, then maybe, but
- 49:53Speaker 7: if you're trading him, then you're not still paying.
- 49:54Speaker 6: But that's probably yeah, and that's probably only for a
- 49:56Speaker 6: year or anyway, right, even if you didn't trade for.
- 49:58Speaker 7: The Spaniss are not paying him twenty five million dollars
- 50:01Speaker 7: a year to be your coach.
- 50:02Speaker 5: Yeah, I think the other The thought I kind of
- 50:05Speaker 5: came to to a Mayo is he's kind of a
- 50:07Speaker 5: good steward to get you over the post Belichick hump. Now,
- 50:11Speaker 5: I know everybody wants to hire the hot new offensive
- 50:14Speaker 5: mind that it's going to be the guy who partners
- 50:16Speaker 5: with a quarterback and takes you back to the promised
- 50:18Speaker 5: they Okay, well I got something for you. Is that realistic?
- 50:21Speaker 1: All right?
- 50:22Speaker 7: So Drodmeo is the head coach, which I think is
- 50:24Speaker 7: going to happen too. Yeah, yeah, I think that Josh
- 50:27Speaker 7: is coming back. Josh McDaniels is not getting another head
- 50:31Speaker 7: coaching job.
- 50:31Speaker 4: Now, I really hate it.
- 50:32Speaker 5: Would Bill take Josh with him at a newsplace.
- 50:36Speaker 1: Maybe.
- 50:36Speaker 7: I don't know if you're if you're the if you're
- 50:40Speaker 7: worried about the offensive coordinator cares al that we've had
- 50:44Speaker 7: the last couple of years.
- 50:46Speaker 4: He's not getting a third head coaching job.
- 50:48Speaker 1: He could end up being like the offensive coordinator for
- 50:51Speaker 1: the Steelers that was there forever, Like.
- 50:53Speaker 7: He could be here for like the last time when
- 50:55Speaker 7: he got fired by the Broncos. Is here for ten years?
- 50:57Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 50:58Speaker 7: You know, And I think that Gerrod Mayo as the
- 51:01Speaker 7: head coach, Josh McDaniels as the offensive coordinator that still
- 51:06Speaker 7: keeps the fingerprints of what was successful here, but it's
- 51:10Speaker 7: a different sort.
- 51:11Speaker 4: Of guy running the show. And I'm I'm with Paul.
- 51:14Speaker 7: I don't really like it because I would rather just
- 51:16Speaker 7: start start anew But I think that starting a new
- 51:19Speaker 7: for the Craft might be a little bit too risky.
- 51:22Speaker 5: I mean, I just I wonder, you know, if if
- 51:25Speaker 5: Bill might take Steve, you know, would take Steve to
- 51:27Speaker 5: be his defensive coordinator somewhere else, and it.
- 51:29Speaker 4: Can take Steve wherever, you know, and then Steve and then.
- 51:31Speaker 5: Gira, you know, maybe it's de Marcus Covington.
- 51:33Speaker 1: You know, I just how would it all fall out.
- 51:36Speaker 4: The defensive coordinator here? I could see that, yeah, Or Patrick.
- 51:41Speaker 5: Graham, Patrick, I just trying to make peace, trying to
- 51:45Speaker 5: make peace with with the Mayo of it all. And
- 51:47Speaker 5: I think that's just where I arrived, was like, you know,
- 51:49Speaker 5: is it realistic?
- 51:50Speaker 1: Spread Mayo too things.
- 51:54Speaker 5: Let's just keep Mayo on the side for the second
- 51:56Speaker 5: and talk about the best. But you know, a few
- 52:00Speaker 5: years like and and he's the one who gets a
- 52:03Speaker 5: past Bill, and we get some drafticks, we start to
- 52:05Speaker 5: acquire talent. Now maybe Mayo gets to a point where, hey,
- 52:08Speaker 5: three four years in, it's it's not you're not getting
- 52:10Speaker 5: to that next level, and then you need to make
- 52:12Speaker 5: that offensive move finally. But I think I'm just.
- 52:15Speaker 1: Trying in my heart to make peace with that move.
- 52:17Speaker 5: Obviously I like a lot about it, but there's all
- 52:19Speaker 5: we all there are things we don't like about that
- 52:21Speaker 5: move too. But I think it could work in a
- 52:23Speaker 5: way if our expectation wasn't that this next coach is
- 52:26Speaker 5: going on.
- 52:27Speaker 1: Josh came back, you know, because we look at his
- 52:31Speaker 1: failures as a head coach and we have to separate
- 52:34Speaker 1: that from his successes as an offensive coordinator. And he
- 52:39Speaker 1: dealt with the greatest of all time and the great
- 52:41Speaker 1: and had a great relationship with Tom Brady. It wasn't
- 52:44Speaker 1: like contentious, don't talk to me, I already know you don't,
- 52:47Speaker 1: can't teach me anything. They got along really well. And then,
- 52:51Speaker 1: as much as we know that it wasn't as good
- 52:53Speaker 1: as some people thought that first year with Mac.
- 52:57Speaker 4: Yeah it was fine.
- 52:57Speaker 1: That was fine.
- 52:58Speaker 5: Fine, it's fine.
- 52:59Speaker 1: Thing that books me though, that's not scares me, But
- 53:04Speaker 1: that's because Mac wasn't good, right.
- 53:05Speaker 5: The thing that scares me.
- 53:06Speaker 6: Is everybody else not good enough that he's coached either
- 53:08Speaker 6: except for Brady because he's never really had a great
- 53:11Speaker 6: offense with that I know.
- 53:12Speaker 7: But he was also the quarterback by Brady maccas had.
- 53:15Speaker 6: What about when he was a offensive coordinator for the
- 53:17Speaker 6: Rams and they had a historically bad offense, the bad situation.
- 53:21Speaker 5: The other thing that scares me with him is the
- 53:22Speaker 5: Raiders players this year. The reports coming out that they're like,
- 53:25Speaker 5: we have this old offense that they don't want to modernize.
- 53:28Speaker 5: They want to keep doing it the way they've been
- 53:30Speaker 5: doing it for.
- 53:30Speaker 4: Twenty where they said about him here when he left.
- 53:32Speaker 6: Okay, that's the people that that's you know again, I
- 53:35Speaker 6: don't often talk to people because you know, people don't
- 53:39Speaker 6: talk to me. But that's what they said about They
- 53:42Speaker 6: needed to That's why they tried to change things.
- 53:44Speaker 4: But they didn't do it right. I was poor judge,
- 53:48Speaker 4: but that's why they wanted to change.
- 53:50Speaker 1: But your offense is your quarterback. So weren't there reports
- 53:54Speaker 1: that Josh McDaniels really like Lamar Jackson when that draft
- 53:58Speaker 1: came out.
- 53:59Speaker 6: And can you but you imagine all those guys like
- 54:03Speaker 6: Baker Mayfield. He liked Baker Mayfield, Like, we don't just
- 54:06Speaker 6: put the one that won the MVP, but you also
- 54:09Speaker 6: liked Tim Tebow.
- 54:10Speaker 4: I don't. I don't.
- 54:11Speaker 7: I don't love it like with josh I don't. But
- 54:14Speaker 7: at the same time, I think with Girod Mayo, I
- 54:17Speaker 7: do actually like a lot about Gerrod Mayo. I love
- 54:20Speaker 7: a lot about you, and I think that he is
- 54:22Speaker 7: what we talked to him, you know, in the offseason
- 54:26Speaker 7: after the draft, and I remember him talking about how
- 54:30Speaker 7: more involved he was with the draft. He actually went
- 54:33Speaker 7: out to Oregon and had a private meeting with Christian
- 54:35Speaker 7: Gonzalez before the draft that nobody knew about, and those
- 54:39Speaker 7: types of things, and just listening to him talk about
- 54:42Speaker 7: the college game, like he he recognizes I think where
- 54:46Speaker 7: the winds are blowing in football, that football is now
- 54:50Speaker 7: about speed, it's about space, It's about scheming guys into space.
- 54:54Speaker 7: Like even though he's a defensive minded head coach, I
- 54:57Speaker 7: think that he would still have that that to be
- 55:00Speaker 7: innovative on the offensive side of the ball and to
- 55:04Speaker 7: recognize that. So maybe josh isn't the right guy for
- 55:06Speaker 7: him to be the coordinator. But the only reason why
- 55:08Speaker 7: I came up with Joshua just because he's not going
- 55:10Speaker 7: anywhere if you hire the Josh is definitely a candidate,
- 55:13Speaker 7: if you hire the next Brian Dable or something like that.
- 55:16Speaker 7: In a year or two, he's just gonna get a
- 55:17Speaker 7: head coaching job and then where you So look.
- 55:19Speaker 6: At it this way too, okay, So like this is
- 55:21Speaker 6: why you can't dismiss Josh and stuff like this. Gered
- 55:24Speaker 6: Mayo has been an NFL coach since I think nineteen.
- 55:28Speaker 4: Yeah, five years, I know.
- 55:30Speaker 6: So what does he have to fall back on to
- 55:33Speaker 6: put a staff together? If everybody goes right and then Josh.
- 55:37Speaker 4: Comes back with Briscilla with McK lombardy.
- 55:40Speaker 6: Maybe that's a way to get a staff sort of compiled.
- 55:44Speaker 6: But I don't think it's ideal. I don't think it's ideal.
- 55:47Speaker 6: And it's not anti Josh because you guys know, you
- 55:50Speaker 6: all know I like Josh Suaw. I just feel like
- 55:54Speaker 6: it might be time for a fresh offense too, like
- 55:57Speaker 6: just in general, let's just do things differently, I understand.
- 56:00Speaker 1: But that also means a fresh quarterback too, right, Well,
- 56:04Speaker 1: I don't.
- 56:04Speaker 4: Think that's I agree with you. I thought that was
- 56:07Speaker 4: like a call him deductive proofs.
- 56:10Speaker 5: And my son's geometry had to help him.
- 56:12Speaker 6: The other night, given new quarterback, I thought that was
- 56:15Speaker 6: I am one hundred percent with you with the new offense,
- 56:18Speaker 6: and I would love to see them do it. I
- 56:20Speaker 6: just it has to be the head coach then, because
- 56:22Speaker 6: the guy's just gonna leave and you're gonna be in
- 56:24Speaker 6: the same situation that you were with Mac where you
- 56:27Speaker 6: have no offensive coordinator.
- 56:28Speaker 7: And so then if if it is the head coach,
- 56:31Speaker 7: and that's all well and good. If I if I'm
- 56:33Speaker 7: the crafts if they hire let's just use Ben Johnson
- 56:36Speaker 7: because that's the name everybody wants to talk about. They
- 56:38Speaker 7: hire Ben Johnson, I'm going to Gid Mayo and I'm saying,
- 56:42Speaker 7: we didn't forget about you. We're gonna make you defensive coordinator,
- 56:45Speaker 7: and we're gonna pay you like a defensive coordinator, and
- 56:47Speaker 7: you're it's gonna be your show on that side of
- 56:49Speaker 7: the ball. I just I want Mayo here to run
- 56:52Speaker 7: the defense because I think the defense is still a
- 56:55Speaker 7: really good defensive system and I don't want to uproot
- 56:58Speaker 7: the defensive system and change it.
- 56:59Speaker 4: Compell like that. I like that too.
- 57:00Speaker 5: I like keeping him around. You get a new co coach,
- 57:02Speaker 5: new offensive.
- 57:03Speaker 6: Yeah, it's not easy, and I'm not like it probably
- 57:06Speaker 6: sounds like I'm being critical of some of the suggestions,
- 57:08Speaker 6: and I don't.
- 57:09Speaker 4: I don't mean to be.
- 57:09Speaker 6: It's not an easy situation that the Crafts are going
- 57:11Speaker 6: to be in. I do think it's hard to take
- 57:15Speaker 6: twenty plus years of something that works so well and
- 57:18Speaker 6: then have to figure out do I tweak it?
- 57:22Speaker 4: Do I change it? Do I blow it up?
- 57:24Speaker 6: And start all over that what pieces to it? It's
- 57:27Speaker 6: not easy to figure out exactly what the course of actions.
- 57:29Speaker 5: What are the important pieces that would be best?
- 57:31Speaker 1: You know?
- 57:31Speaker 7: Yeah, I would also just love if I was the
- 57:35Speaker 7: Crafts and if Macro was like seriously in consideration to
- 57:38Speaker 7: stick around as GM Director of Player Personnel. You got
- 57:42Speaker 7: to call him into the office and be like, all right,
- 57:43Speaker 7: show me your draft, right, Like what in twenty twenty two?
- 57:46Speaker 7: What would you have done if it was because this right?
- 57:50Speaker 7: Because if twenty twenty two he said, oh, you know,
- 57:52Speaker 7: I would have taken cold strange and I'm out right,
- 57:55Speaker 7: you know, you have to prove to me that that
- 57:57Speaker 7: was actually a bit.
- 57:58Speaker 1: I wonder if that conversation hasn't already taken place, because
- 58:02Speaker 1: if you're the craft aren't you like curious as hell
- 58:05Speaker 1: to have known who wanted who the last four years.
- 58:09Speaker 5: The code red, you know, especially that twenty twenty tour.
- 58:12Speaker 5: I mean that one has been.
- 58:14Speaker 4: Like we talked about, we take him down to his
- 58:16Speaker 4: dark place. No, no, thank you, Please don't go there.
- 58:19Speaker 5: Every time I go to that like Pro Football Reference
- 58:21Speaker 5: where it's Patriots drafts history happy and they have like
- 58:24Speaker 5: the weighted averages of like their career.
- 58:26Speaker 7: Like that's like, oh, missus in a sunk place again.
- 58:29Speaker 4: I tried Pro Football Reference. We tried to pull him out,
- 58:33Speaker 4: got a draft.
- 58:34Speaker 12: Good.
- 58:34Speaker 4: He's surfing those sites again.
- 58:37Speaker 1: I mean, it's a fascinating conversation. And you know, I
- 58:41Speaker 1: imagine a lot of people. I can't believe you're having
- 58:43Speaker 1: this conversation with most it's listen, it is.
- 58:47Speaker 7: Out yeah, I mean two and eight guys.
- 58:49Speaker 1: Yeah, it is out there. And I think I think
- 58:52Speaker 1: it's appropriate to be just speculating. I mean, and that's

- 1:02:25Speaker 4: What's up everybody?
- 1:02:26Speaker 8: Patriots Special team captain Matthew Slater addressed the media yesterday.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: Let's take a listen to what he had to say.
- 1:02:32Speaker 10: Probably do a lot of self scalt, try to get
- 1:02:35Speaker 10: myself physically as ready as I can to finish the
- 1:02:38Speaker 10: season a strong.
- 1:02:39Speaker 4: Do you approach it like a time to get away?
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: Or is it like staying here and oh no no.
- 1:02:44Speaker 10: With four kids and two of them in school, there's
- 1:02:46Speaker 10: no time to get away.
- 1:02:47Speaker 17: So yeah, do you feel like the FIB week is
- 1:02:51Speaker 17: coming out a good time for you guys, given you know,
- 1:02:53Speaker 17: you guys are two an a can refresh and refocus.
- 1:02:56Speaker 10: Yeah, I think it's a good time for a lot
- 1:02:58Speaker 10: of reasons what you mentioned, and I j I just
- 1:03:02Speaker 10: think you know, we've played a lot of football and
- 1:03:05Speaker 10: guys are certainly feeling it. So it's good physically, it's
- 1:03:09Speaker 10: good mentally with the way things have gone this year,
- 1:03:12Speaker 10: so hopefully we can make the most of it.
- 1:03:14Speaker 17: We'll get to you the confidence that you guys can
- 1:03:16Speaker 17: come back, you know, stronger and you know, finish out
- 1:03:18Speaker 17: the season strong.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean faith.
- 1:03:20Speaker 10: I mean, uh, if you don't have faith in what
- 1:03:23Speaker 10: you're doing, why are you coming in here every day?
- 1:03:25Speaker 10: And for me, you know, I still have faith in
- 1:03:28Speaker 10: the people in this building, our process, the people leading us.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: I have faith in a lot of things.
- 1:03:34Speaker 10: So sometimes you have to have faith even when you
- 1:03:38Speaker 10: haven't seen the results that you would have liked.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: I mean, but that's that's life, right, So it's just
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: part of it.
- 1:03:44Speaker 6: What's your advice fellow captain, team leader, the a guy
- 1:03:47Speaker 6: like Mac going through what is going through right now.
- 1:03:49Speaker 10: The questions whether or not just remain as positive as
- 1:03:52Speaker 10: possible and ignore the voices and opinions that are not
- 1:03:57Speaker 10: gonna impact your day to day living, because Lord knows,
- 1:04:00Speaker 10: there are a lot of them out there, but most
- 1:04:03Speaker 10: of them don't really matter. So be positive, continue to
- 1:04:07Speaker 10: say true to yourself, your process, and that that goes for.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: All of us, not just him.
- 1:04:12Speaker 9: When you have.
- 1:04:14Speaker 18: In Germany where you come home and everyone's talking about
- 1:04:17Speaker 18: the quarterback, quarterback quarterback as one of your leaders, kind
- 1:04:21Speaker 18: of thoughts that you have on that or is it
- 1:04:23Speaker 18: one of those things, like you said, where you just
- 1:04:25Speaker 18: tell everybody to just keep going.
- 1:04:27Speaker 10: Yeah, well, look, I've never been the quarterback, so I'm
- 1:04:31Speaker 10: I don't want to speak for him. I can under
- 1:04:33Speaker 10: I can see and understand how that would be very challenging,
- 1:04:36Speaker 10: especially with the way things have gone this year for
- 1:04:40Speaker 10: our football team. So again, I think, as much as
- 1:04:43Speaker 10: you can, you have to limit those voices and you know,
- 1:04:47Speaker 10: continue to take advantage of the opportunities that lie ahead
- 1:04:50Speaker 10: of you. You know, live your professional experience with a
- 1:04:54Speaker 10: lot of gratitude, and that should be the foundation from
- 1:04:57Speaker 10: which we're all working as gratitude. You know, we have
- 1:04:59Speaker 10: a great opportunity to play a game we love, so
- 1:05:02Speaker 10: never lose sight of that.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: And you know it's challenging.
- 1:05:05Speaker 10: I'm sure it's challenging for all of us, but you know,
- 1:05:08Speaker 10: just gotta keep going.
- 1:05:09Speaker 4: Opportunity.
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: How much do you kind of.
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: You kind of make a season?
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:05:15Speaker 10: Absolutely, I mean, look, that's the exciting thing. You know.
- 1:05:20Speaker 10: You hope you can uh change the narrative of our
- 1:05:23Speaker 10: of our story and and how that story ends. And
- 1:05:26Speaker 10: you know, we we have a say in that, which
- 1:05:28Speaker 10: is a beautiful thing. So hopefully we can do the
- 1:05:31Speaker 10: things that we need to do to start getting some
- 1:05:34Speaker 10: of the outcomes we'd like to see. And you know,
- 1:05:36Speaker 10: you know, you never know what can happen. So we
- 1:05:38Speaker 10: just got like I said earlier, we just got to
- 1:05:39Speaker 10: keep the faith, keep going.
- 1:05:42Speaker 5: Is it important guys just photograph?
- 1:05:48Speaker 10: I can't speak for the team, it's not, but it's
- 1:05:50Speaker 10: not important for me. I just come here and do
- 1:05:53Speaker 10: my job, keep my head down. And you know, those
- 1:05:55Speaker 10: are decisions that I'm not involved in and and they
- 1:05:59Speaker 10: don't impact you know, what I have to do personally.
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: Leaderships.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: You know, picked up a lot.
- 1:06:11Speaker 10: You know, I Uh, I think eventually I I'll look
- 1:06:14Speaker 10: back upon this season and be grateful for Uh. I've
- 1:06:17Speaker 10: said it, you know, several times throughout the course of
- 1:06:19Speaker 10: the season. But you know, it's easy to be a
- 1:06:22Speaker 10: front runner and leave when things are going well, and
- 1:06:25Speaker 10: uh to encourage and build up and lift up and
- 1:06:29Speaker 10: and work hard when things are going well. But when
- 1:06:31Speaker 10: they're not, I think it really tests your character and
- 1:06:35Speaker 10: it tests your conviction. And you know, I think the
- 1:06:38Speaker 10: things that I say I believe in and want to
- 1:06:41Speaker 10: live out, you know, they've been challenging to do this year,
- 1:06:45Speaker 10: you know, staying positive, UH, continue to encourage. But I'm
- 1:06:50Speaker 10: learning what that looks like under these types of circumstances.
- 1:06:52Speaker 10: And I think it's gonna serve me well, you know,
- 1:06:55Speaker 10: in the future as a husband, as a father, because
- 1:06:57Speaker 10: that's how life is. Right, nobody's life goes exactly how
- 1:07:01Speaker 10: they envision it, their twists and turn.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: So it's been good.
- 1:07:05Speaker 16: When someone accidentally threw away the school play costumes, oh no.
- 1:07:10Speaker 16: Replacements were shipped with FedEx and with picture proof of delivery,

- 1:09:14Speaker 19: If you told me there was a tech car pile
- 1:09:15Speaker 19: up on the mass Pike today, I would believe you.
- 1:09:17Speaker 19: With what the traffic?
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: Really, where's everybody going?
- 1:09:20Speaker 8: I hope everybody's demonstrators blocking the bridge for calling for
- 1:09:23Speaker 8: a ceasefire the.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: Bu bridge, right, yeah, but that's not affecting her.
- 1:09:28Speaker 4: Yeah, crap, that's that's my alma mater. The first thing
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: that puffed up.
- 1:09:34Speaker 19: If you're listening, the first.
- 1:09:36Speaker 6: Thing I thought is I wouldn't have been able to
- 1:09:37Speaker 6: go to class because that was the bridge I had
- 1:09:39Speaker 6: to get to class over.
- 1:09:40Speaker 5: It feels like you pull those days like once every
- 1:09:42Speaker 5: two months, all of a sudden, it's just a log
- 1:09:44Speaker 5: jam on.

- 1:10:06Speaker 1: We did some mid season awards. I don't want to
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: go through every category, but give me your best play
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: so far.
- 1:10:18Speaker 20: It might be one of them during the Eagles game,
- 1:10:19Speaker 20: but I think just the implications of Jasicki's game winner
- 1:10:23Speaker 20: against the Bills this spot.
- 1:10:26Speaker 19: I would say that one.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: Okay, and give me your biggest surprise player not including
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: the Mario Douglas and your biggest disappointment.
- 1:10:35Speaker 19: Okay.
- 1:10:36Speaker 20: Maybe this is recency bias, because Tavia, I think has
- 1:10:39Speaker 20: been He was pretty well like stringing some really good
- 1:10:43Speaker 20: games together, all this craziness.
- 1:10:48Speaker 6: Yeah, so's man's playing football, nodding in approval.
- 1:10:52Speaker 19: Yes, disappointing. I mean juju, I would say another one.
- 1:10:59Speaker 5: That good job, Al, you nailed it.
- 1:11:02Speaker 4: You're nailing it.
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: Good, good, stuffy among them. Yeah, so we did that.
- 1:11:06Speaker 7: Okay, I got one more. How much did the Celtics
- 1:11:09Speaker 7: miss market? Smart at nine and two zero?
- 1:11:12Speaker 5: Not at all? I like this guy, what is it? Drew?
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: It's just true. It's just true, unless you're.
- 1:11:21Speaker 19: I loved Marcus.
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: But I mean, we haven't had.
- 1:11:26Speaker 19: I supposed to do.
- 1:11:27Speaker 7: We haven't had a chance to talk any Celtics really because.
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: You know, this is the Patriots.
- 1:11:33Speaker 5: Celtics dot com.
- 1:11:34Speaker 4: I mean, we.
- 1:11:36Speaker 7: Have to talk about a good team in town. So
- 1:11:38Speaker 7: we talked about this yesterday.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: It's going to start a new podcast, Catch ten. It's

- 1:11:47Speaker 4: Thing that actually does exist, does it? It does.
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: It's a small board that.
- 1:11:52Speaker 4: View for Don't ask me. I don't know.
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: They're all in the bunch.
- 1:11:57Speaker 20: That's been really trendy on Twitter though, amongst like sports
- 1:11:59Speaker 20: social media teams.
- 1:12:00Speaker 5: Have you guys seen all the the hockey team camp.
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: We're going to have that too. From the lighthouse.
- 1:12:08Speaker 4: We need somebody to highlight.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, let's go to the phone.

- 1:12:51Speaker 12: Yeah, with you complete duo.
- 1:12:56Speaker 9: I don't want Mayo. If the coach Daniel come in
- 1:13:00Speaker 9: and get a new quarterback and get a new office
- 1:13:02Speaker 9: calling like Ben Jonson or Banry or whoever, you know,
- 1:13:06Speaker 9: if he had to go to a college coach, get
- 1:13:08Speaker 9: them too, just rebuild it over and just start from there.
- 1:13:12Speaker 9: Because to go take another five years, so you might
- 1:13:14Speaker 9: well just do it.
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: Okay, I would write the first time completely redo.
- 1:13:18Speaker 4: I would agree with that, and I don't think it
- 1:13:21Speaker 4: has to take that long though.
- 1:13:22Speaker 6: I think if you do it well, get some thanks,
- 1:13:25Speaker 6: some some smart picks, and some good fortune, I think
- 1:13:27Speaker 6: you can turn it around.
- 1:13:28Speaker 5: Do you guys know the story of how Robert found
- 1:13:30Speaker 5: Pete Carroll? Like, how did that come about?
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: They did? They were looking at a lot of people
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: and they talked to Bill Walsh, and Bill Walsh was
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: a big advocate, and I think they listened to Bill Walsh.
- 1:13:42Speaker 4: I just learned something. Yeah, so I never heard that story.
- 1:13:45Speaker 7: Tom Pelisaro does that annual list of like rising head.
- 1:13:48Speaker 4: Coach in candidate.
- 1:13:49Speaker 7: Three Patriots coaches on that, so he did it. It
- 1:13:52Speaker 7: came out yesterday. So here are some of the offensive names,
- 1:13:55Speaker 7: because we're all on the offense. Thomas Brown from the Panthers,
- 1:13:59Speaker 7: who's been on this list before. I think I'm not
- 1:14:02Speaker 7: sure if I'm hiring head offensive coaches from the Panthers.
- 1:14:06Speaker 6: A guy that they've gone back and forth with Reich
- 1:14:08Speaker 6: who's calling the plays and now it's back to Raik.
- 1:14:10Speaker 7: Yes, this is a good one, though, Brian Callahan from
- 1:14:14Speaker 7: the Cincinnati Bengals.
- 1:14:15Speaker 4: Good offensive line guy. Yeah, who I think.
- 1:14:18Speaker 7: Deserves a lot of credit for for their offense is
- 1:14:21Speaker 7: on this list. Luke Getzi with the Bears, which I
- 1:14:23Speaker 7: think is hilarious. I wouldn't touch that with a ten
- 1:14:26Speaker 7: foot poll. Ben Johnson from the Lions obviously, Brian Johnson
- 1:14:31Speaker 7: from the Eagles, quarterbacks guy from the Eagles.
- 1:14:34Speaker 5: A lot of basic name guys on this list, John Callahan.
- 1:14:38Speaker 4: Mike Kafka from the Giants.
- 1:14:41Speaker 6: So William Smith, our very own Megan O'Brien and has
- 1:14:47Speaker 6: been texting me a little bit about Kafka. She you know,
- 1:14:50Speaker 6: went to school with him and she's very high on
- 1:14:53Speaker 6: Mike Kafka.
- 1:14:54Speaker 7: Yep, w w's we'll scroll past Grod Mayo on the list. Uh,
- 1:15:00Speaker 7: Kellen Moore from the Chargers.
- 1:15:02Speaker 6: Yeah, I was wondering about Belichick if he, you know,
- 1:15:05Speaker 6: like that whole Chargers thing, like we're Kellen Moore would
- 1:15:07Speaker 6: fit in.
- 1:15:08Speaker 4: So this is an interesting one too.
- 1:15:10Speaker 7: Drew Petsing from the Cardinals, the Cardinals offensive coordinator who
- 1:15:13Speaker 7: has somehow made that offense from what my guy, somehow
- 1:15:18Speaker 7: made that offense relevant here. So here's another really big
- 1:15:23Speaker 7: name that that a lot of people are starting to
- 1:15:25Speaker 7: pay attention to. Now, Bobby Sloak from the Texans, the
- 1:15:29Speaker 7: offensive coordinator from the Texans, who obviously has C. J.
- 1:15:32Speaker 4: Stroud playing.
- 1:15:33Speaker 6: And I saw something on on the Twitter machine yesterday
- 1:15:36Speaker 6: that had that old Washington coaching staff and it was
- 1:15:40Speaker 6: you know, Shanahan, Mike McDaniel, there was someone else McVeigh
- 1:15:46Speaker 6: and Bobby Slowick like they.
- 1:15:49Speaker 4: Were all in the staff together.
- 1:15:50Speaker 6: Yeah, Matt was his face, so tight pants, young guy
- 1:15:56Speaker 6: in tight pants, like Felger says, that's what.
- 1:15:58Speaker 4: That's what, that's what.
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: So that's Bbby Slowan's It's just so funny though that
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: we're so just shaking head coach starve that. You know,
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: an offensive coordinator has some success and all of a
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: sudden he should be a head coach. You know, it's
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: a totally different job.
- 1:16:13Speaker 6: So it doesn't mean it's going to be a success now,
- 1:16:15Speaker 6: I know, But that's how it works. You're coordinator, you
- 1:16:17Speaker 6: have success, and you become a head coach.
- 1:16:19Speaker 7: So Frank Smith from the Dolphins, he's the Dolphins offense
- 1:16:23Speaker 7: to your.
- 1:16:23Speaker 4: Category Johnson, Brian Johnson.
- 1:16:27Speaker 7: Brian, I think you guys will know this guy. Press
- 1:16:30Speaker 7: Taylor from the Jaguars, offensive coordinator for the Jaguars, and
- 1:16:33Speaker 7: the last one here I think is also interesting because
- 1:16:35Speaker 7: I believe he was here for a minute Shane Waldron.
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: A minute.
- 1:16:41Speaker 7: Yes, yeah, so those those are the offensive coaches on
- 1:16:45Speaker 7: that list, but obviously we know Ben Johnson, Brian Callahan
- 1:16:50Speaker 7: from the Bengals.
- 1:16:50Speaker 4: I think is interesting and slow I think is is
- 1:16:54Speaker 4: really interesting.
- 1:16:55Speaker 5: Okay, what's interesting because all those guys would be first
- 1:16:58Speaker 5: time head coaches and the two guys that have hired
- 1:17:00Speaker 5: are both second time coaches.
- 1:17:02Speaker 7: Yeah, correct, true, but where was Pee before this?
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: Jeffs Jets really let them make their mistake somewhere else
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: and then hire them. It's could be a philosophy.
- 1:17:11Speaker 6: They were ten and one in ninety four and finished
- 1:17:14Speaker 6: ten and six and missed the playoffs, I believe, or
- 1:17:17Speaker 6: if they didn't, if they made the playoffs, that got
- 1:17:19Speaker 6: knocked out right away.
- 1:17:20Speaker 4: But they were ten and one.
- 1:17:21Speaker 5: One of the only reasons I remember I had his
- 1:17:22Speaker 5: football card, like I just remember it. Pete Carroll is
- 1:17:25Speaker 5: one of my you know, just yeah, remember seeing him
- 1:17:27Speaker 5: in the Jets. Nimm Let's go to John in l
- 1:17:31Speaker 5: A on the Ace ticket hot Line.
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: Except John Johnny guy, all right, how are you hanging in?
- 1:17:36Speaker 12: Man?
- 1:17:38Speaker 10: So?
- 1:17:39Speaker 21: Uh, I've been thinking it's way past time to start
- 1:17:42Speaker 21: collecting talents. I'm like, I know that phrase from early
- 1:17:46Speaker 21: in the Dynasty, and that's great, but I think we
- 1:17:49Speaker 21: can all agree with time select talents. And I keep
- 1:17:52Speaker 21: thinking about the It's like what you guys are just
- 1:17:54Speaker 21: talking about before Paul had.
- 1:17:56Speaker 4: To eat, expect more from.
- 1:18:01Speaker 21: Me, Like, oh, this guy was available, but actually, like,
- 1:18:05Speaker 21: these are the guys that like to you guy writers
- 1:18:09Speaker 21: thought that's probably who we could take. That's the Patriots
- 1:18:11Speaker 21: guy in the first couple of rounds, and combining that,
- 1:18:15Speaker 21: the core could be Debo, George Pickens, Keith Jacobe, Devin Lloyd,
- 1:18:21Speaker 21: Juwan Bentley, Christian Moore, Yon White, Kyle Duggar, Christian Gonzales,
- 1:18:25Speaker 21: Jonathan Jones, Michael Lender.
- 1:18:27Speaker 9: I mean, this is not like high in the sky.
- 1:18:29Speaker 21: This is like easily what it could have been if
- 1:18:32Speaker 21: Robert Kraft had said, you know what, let's not have
- 1:18:34Speaker 21: a a scouting department. Let's literally just go with what
- 1:18:38Speaker 21: the mock draft website say.
- 1:18:40Speaker 4: And I think that's because we're all genius. We're all
- 1:18:44Speaker 4: smarter than everybody else. I'm wondering if.
- 1:18:46Speaker 21: You guys think that's a good I mean, obviously that's
- 1:18:50Speaker 21: a better core, but is that a good enough core
- 1:18:54Speaker 21: if you get the quarterback, which obviously is a huge gift.
- 1:19:00Speaker 5: I mean, I'd have to look at the whole core mentality.
- 1:19:03Speaker 4: It sounded like a bunch of names, like I don't know, I.
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: Think they're all good players, but I think mixed in
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: there you need a couple difference makers, you know, I
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: think that.
- 1:19:16Speaker 7: But I think what his general point, though I actually
- 1:19:18Speaker 7: kind of agree with, which I think is what his
- 1:19:20Speaker 7: general point is is yeah, sometimes and it's not about us.
- 1:19:24Speaker 5: Being smart than the team.
- 1:19:26Speaker 7: I knew you were going to say that, no if
- 1:19:28Speaker 7: he didn't say, But my point is that sometimes I
- 1:19:32Speaker 7: think that teams outsmart themselves and like just what they
- 1:19:35Speaker 7: can say. Like Christian Gonzalez, even though he got hurt,
- 1:19:37Speaker 7: Christian Gonzalez was a consensus top twenty first round pick
- 1:19:41Speaker 7: type of guy. And it's not a mistake that when
- 1:19:44Speaker 7: he got on the field with the Patriots that he
- 1:19:46Speaker 7: looked like he belonged in the NFL right away. And
- 1:19:48Speaker 7: sometimes when you go into the draft and you take
- 1:19:51Speaker 7: your coal strangers and you take these guys off the
- 1:19:54Speaker 7: beaten path, and that there's a reason why nobody had
- 1:19:58Speaker 7: Cold Strange in the first round, and that I think
- 1:20:00Speaker 7: that's sometimes it's especially in the first round, to just
- 1:20:05Speaker 7: go with one of the like consensus top guys, like
- 1:20:08Speaker 7: to forget about the mock drafts, like just even in
- 1:20:11Speaker 7: the league, like around your peers.
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:20:14Speaker 7: And you don't have the rams laughing at you on
- 1:20:16Speaker 7: draft night about drafting a guy three rallies.
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: Did it?
- 1:20:21Speaker 4: Yeah, they were laughing at I don't really think it did.
- 1:20:24Speaker 5: We were laughing at.
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: Us, just laughing all right, John, Thanks, thanks for the
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: coll Let's go to Dan and Florida.
- 1:20:32Speaker 4: Hey.
- 1:20:32Speaker 6: Dan, Hey, you help me go on guy?
- 1:20:38Speaker 22: Hey, So I just want to give you guys my
- 1:20:40Speaker 22: take on the staff. Oh, regards to what you guys
- 1:20:43Speaker 22: were talking about earlier, I think the most appealing and
- 1:20:46Speaker 22: ideal staff going forward would be the clean house in
- 1:20:50Speaker 22: the front office. Bring in Adam Peters. He's very successful
- 1:20:54Speaker 22: with the forty nine ers that obviously, it's just seen
- 1:20:56Speaker 22: the forty nineers have.
- 1:20:57Speaker 12: Put together as stellar roster.
- 1:21:00Speaker 22: I think Mayo should stay, but I don't think he
- 1:21:03Speaker 22: should stay as the head coach. He should definitely stay
- 1:21:05Speaker 22: as the DC. I think that would be great. You
- 1:21:09Speaker 22: bring in Ben Johnson, who I think is one of
- 1:21:12Speaker 22: the top offensive mind is offensive minds out there, and
- 1:21:16Speaker 22: then you have to fire Joe Judge and Camra cor
- 1:21:19Speaker 22: because they spend so much money on special teams and
- 1:21:22Speaker 22: the special teams look like a giant disaster. It looks
- 1:21:24Speaker 22: like a dumpster fire. So those two gotta be out,
- 1:21:27Speaker 22: and they got to find somebody that can replace the
- 1:21:29Speaker 22: special teams. But I think that's the most ideal staff
- 1:21:34Speaker 22: to bring in. If Robert Kraft is very adamant about
- 1:21:37Speaker 22: going back to the Super Bowl, Okay, realistically?
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: Yeah right, thanks for the call. Trent writes in says
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: I'm disgusted with my fellow Patriots fans, and that's some quotes.
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: Bill is the right man to lead the organization through
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: a rebuild. He's done it twice already in two thousand
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: and twenty ten. Mac is clearly not the guy. So
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: wouldn't firing Bill be like cutting off your nose to
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: spite your face? Why fire a proven coach just to
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: hire someone new. What if they draft a true starting
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: quarterback but the quarterback is paired with a coach who
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: isn't a fit to carry Bill's rings. Then we are
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: back at square one again. Firing Bill now would be
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: like firing him after the nine season he lost the team,
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: can't reach the young guys anymore, etc. But the Craft
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: stuck with him and he brought three more championships home. Evan,
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: you are wrong more than anybody. Yesterday you finally admitted
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: the twenty two draft class as a bus, and you
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: even said we all knew it was going to be
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: a bus from the start when the draft was fresh.
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: Nobody was pounding the table for Matt grow harder than you.
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: Evan also said tons of teams have traded up to
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: the number one draft spot without tanking or selling the farm. Okay,
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: name three.
- 1:22:44Speaker 7: The Carolina Panthers last year traded up from eight to one. Also,
- 1:22:48Speaker 7: if you really want to know my thoughts on the
- 1:22:50Speaker 7: twenty twenty two draft class, I believe my reaction to
- 1:22:53Speaker 7: the cold strange pick still lives on on Clennis's YouTube.
- 1:22:56Speaker 7: So why do you Why don't you go look at
- 1:22:58Speaker 7: that and maybe revisit your entire email?
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: Thank you?
- 1:23:03Speaker 4: Yeah, but I'm wrong more than anybody.
- 1:23:06Speaker 6: So first of all, we're comparing the rebuild from going
- 1:23:11Speaker 6: ten and six and losing in the playoffs to being
- 1:23:15Speaker 6: two and eight.
- 1:23:16Speaker 4: That's the same thing.
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: Also, like he did it before, but as long as
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: Tom Brady was still on the team, there was no rebuild.
- 1:23:22Speaker 6: Well, that's the other thing. And I totally recognized that
- 1:23:26Speaker 6: there's a line of demarcation where they had to sort
- 1:23:28Speaker 6: of reset a little bit, and they did have a
- 1:23:31Speaker 6: dip in nine to ten, you know.
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: And then they made the Super Bowl and eleven.
- 1:23:36Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean in ten they went fourteen and two,
- 1:23:39Speaker 6: but they just weren't They weren't that good and that
- 1:23:41Speaker 6: was proven out when they got knocked out.
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: Of the playoffs, but worse fourteen and two ever, Right.
- 1:23:45Speaker 6: Yeah, And that's something that like, that's something that like
- 1:23:48Speaker 6: Brady would say, like, you know, he probably would have
- 1:23:51Speaker 6: said that like ten years later when he actually did
- 1:23:53Speaker 6: say it when they were eight. No, I just don't
- 1:23:56Speaker 6: think that that's the same as bottoming out rebuild when Okay,
- 1:24:00Speaker 6: we're not quite as great as we used to be.
- 1:24:02Speaker 6: We're just really good now we're not great. That's not
- 1:24:05Speaker 6: the same as what they're doing now.
- 1:24:07Speaker 5: Yeah, And I think even in two thousand and one
- 1:24:08Speaker 5: that the rebuild, like they were surprised that they had
- 1:24:11Speaker 5: success like they.
- 1:24:11Speaker 6: Did, And can I give you, like my number one
- 1:24:14Speaker 6: reason why I disagree with that you're comparing him rebuilding
- 1:24:17Speaker 6: when he was like fifty as opposed to seventy two,
- 1:24:21Speaker 6: Like it's a big difference. It is, I know what
- 1:24:23Speaker 6: makes me sound like an ageist, and I shouldn't be
- 1:24:25Speaker 6: throwing those kinds of stones since I'm old. But I'm sorry,
- 1:24:28Speaker 6: I don't have a lot of faith in a seventeen
- 1:24:30Speaker 6: year old, seventy two year old guy being able to
- 1:24:32Speaker 6: turn it around.
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: That's a good point, Jared and Rhode Island says, I
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: don't understand the conclusion that Mayo is going to be
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: the de facto head coach of Phil Leaves.
- 1:24:39Speaker 4: I'm not familiar with de facto.
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: I'm not familiar with teams that usually fire the head
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: coach and replace him with an underling. Why is there
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: so much confidence that the logical replacement for Bill is
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: Girawed love the show. Thank you guys for being the
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: one redeeming quality of the twenty twenty three seasons.
- 1:24:55Speaker 4: I didn't say it was logical.
- 1:24:56Speaker 5: Craft's comments last year at the owner meeting was you know,
- 1:24:59Speaker 5: talking about I mean.
- 1:25:00Speaker 4: We think it's kind of what I mean might be
- 1:25:03Speaker 4: a done deal.
- 1:25:03Speaker 5: What are they grooming him for?
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: Then?
- 1:25:05Speaker 5: Like what was all that, like, you know, reaching out
- 1:25:07Speaker 5: to try to keep him here? And I mean, we
- 1:25:09Speaker 5: haven't really seen a noticeable change on the outside so far.
- 1:25:12Speaker 5: It seems exactly like it's been for jirob Mayo. But
- 1:25:14Speaker 5: there was a lot of talk last offseason. I just
- 1:25:16Speaker 5: think you read what the Crafts have been saying over
- 1:25:19Speaker 5: the last couple of years and what they've done to
- 1:25:20Speaker 5: retain Jiraw Mayo, it would seem like they have some
- 1:25:23Speaker 5: plans for him. Maybe it's just a fit some coordinator,
- 1:25:26Speaker 5: which I would probably prefer, but I think, you know,
- 1:25:29Speaker 5: I just I think he's a good guy. I think
- 1:25:30Speaker 5: he has the right temperament to you know, everyone just
- 1:25:33Speaker 5: assumes the next head coach is going to be the
- 1:25:34Speaker 5: one to take you back to the promise land. I
- 1:25:35Speaker 5: don't know if that's necessarily the case. You might just
- 1:25:37Speaker 5: need a guy who rights the ship, who starts the draft,
- 1:25:40Speaker 5: some talent who starts to build a new core, and
- 1:25:43Speaker 5: then unfortunately, maybe that guy has a little bit of
- 1:25:45Speaker 5: a stumble, and then you bring the new guy in
- 1:25:47Speaker 5: and then art the pieces are in place, and now
- 1:25:48Speaker 5: we're going to the next level.
- 1:25:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:25:49Speaker 7: I also just think with again, like it's easy for
- 1:25:53Speaker 7: us to sit here and say just completely wipe out
- 1:25:57Speaker 7: the last twenty five years of what's been successful and
- 1:25:59Speaker 7: start completely new with a new offense and a new
- 1:26:02Speaker 7: like a whole new philosophy, which is probably what this
- 1:26:06Speaker 7: team needs to an extent. But I do feel like
- 1:26:09Speaker 7: Gid Mayo is kind of like middling it a little
- 1:26:11Speaker 7: bit where he is a younger guy, he is maybe
- 1:26:14Speaker 7: a little bit more savvy with the times, but it's
- 1:26:16Speaker 7: still got some Belichick Patriot dynasty mystique.
- 1:26:21Speaker 5: Yeah, we should probably note this show because I feel
- 1:26:23Speaker 5: like if if when they too, if that's if this
- 1:26:25Speaker 5: word to happen, I think you get like Evansting, we
- 1:26:27Speaker 5: have our thoughts out there already now and how we
- 1:26:29Speaker 5: feel about it.
- 1:26:30Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm not ever really a fan of that.
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: You don't like receipts?
- 1:26:34Speaker 4: Snope, Mike's in New York?
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: What's up, Mike?
- 1:26:38Speaker 5: CVS receipts over there?
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: So yeah, like you're in a bayo, are you conducting?
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: Are you you know a traffic cop? Or what are
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: you doing out there?
- 1:26:49Speaker 12: I'm right in New York?
- 1:26:51Speaker 5: Oh, oh that's not a buy.
- 1:26:53Speaker 11: You do you guys think that?
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: What's the probability we think it's gonna happen? Pretty good.
- 1:27:00Speaker 11: Part the reason I asked because that will be one
- 1:27:03Speaker 11: year after Brady retired and Crabb bet on Belichick. It
- 1:27:09Speaker 11: was a bad bet because Brady played for three three
- 1:27:13Speaker 11: more years and won the Super Bowl.
- 1:27:15Speaker 13: I think it was a bad bet.
- 1:27:16Speaker 12: What do you guys say?
- 1:27:18Speaker 4: I don't think it was a bad bet. I think
- 1:27:19Speaker 4: it was a bad result.
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I think I think.
- 1:27:23Speaker 6: Okay, yeah, I mean I thanks Mike. I think he's
- 1:27:25Speaker 6: absolutely right. You know they bet on Belichick being around
- 1:27:29Speaker 6: longer than Brady and more effective than Brady.
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: Yep, Yeah, I.
- 1:27:33Speaker 6: Don't think it's like I look back at it to
- 1:27:37Speaker 6: twenty twenty high sight, I don't think it was a
- 1:27:39Speaker 6: dumb move. I think you logically look at a guy
- 1:27:42Speaker 6: in his early forties playing quarterback. How many years is
- 1:27:45Speaker 6: he going to continue to play at a super Bowl level?
- 1:27:47Speaker 6: And the coach had so shown no signs of slowing down,
- 1:27:51Speaker 6: like they gambled on the coach, and I would say
- 1:27:55Speaker 6: that they lost. Yeah, they lost the gamble, but I
- 1:27:57Speaker 6: don't think it was a bad one.
- 1:27:59Speaker 7: Isn't it easier to just replace the quarterback than to
- 1:28:02Speaker 7: tear down the entire organization?
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: Theoretically, yes, yeah, theoretically yes, you know, whatever, yeah, whatever,
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: I know, just whatever.
- 1:28:11Speaker 4: We always resignation to that side.
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: Just look at the Tom Brady years with such fondness
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: and just wishing most.
- 1:28:19Speaker 7: Of us do retired of paying for one person here,
- 1:28:25Speaker 7: like you bring up a tray after or something.
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: The one thing that all this has shown us is
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: the value of Tom Brady.
- 1:28:32Speaker 5: You know, and how special that whole run was.
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: I mean his legend only grew as a result of this.
- 1:28:37Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean just how hard it is. I mean
- 1:28:39Speaker 5: even just watching other teams right now, you know, trying
- 1:28:42Speaker 5: to get to that level of success.
- 1:28:43Speaker 4: It's below bills, unreal.
- 1:28:45Speaker 6: Alex, let me ask you this, what did you think
- 1:28:49Speaker 6: when Brady left? Like what were your thoughts?
- 1:28:52Speaker 20: Devastation one, But I like everyone was like, okay, we
- 1:28:57Speaker 20: still have the greatest head coach of all time. And
- 1:28:59Speaker 20: I thought that Brady might go win. But I think
- 1:29:02Speaker 20: he'll eventually see maybe the grass isn't always greener. It's
- 1:29:05Speaker 20: really hard to sustain success, which I think he maybe
- 1:29:08Speaker 20: did see after winning the Super Bowl with the box
- 1:29:11Speaker 20: and not going right back.
- 1:29:12Speaker 19: To the super Bowl.
- 1:29:13Speaker 20: But I still never anticipated. I mean, this season is
- 1:29:18Speaker 20: just absolutely inconceivable to me. Going back to me on
- 1:29:22Speaker 20: March seventeen, twenty twenty, the day Brady left, if you
- 1:29:25Speaker 20: told me we would be here?
- 1:29:27Speaker 4: Had the date right?
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: If you told me that we would.
- 1:29:32Speaker 19: And seven like, I don't know. I tried to be
- 1:29:36Speaker 19: as hopeful. Yeah, you're right. I tried to be as
- 1:29:38Speaker 19: hopeful as I could. All see, there were the last
- 1:29:41Speaker 19: couple of weeks.
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: There were some listeners to this show that did think
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: we were going to completely fall off the cliff when
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: Brady left, And you know, I argue, like, why does
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: that have to be the case. We know it's not
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: going to be as good? Well, why do we have
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: to just I was with you terrible?
- 1:29:55Speaker 7: But they didn't completely fall off a cliff immediately.
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: It didn't right away.
- 1:30:00Speaker 9: It was.
- 1:30:02Speaker 20: So crazy to me that we're even having this conversation
- 1:30:05Speaker 20: all on really like it seems a general consensus that
- 1:30:08Speaker 20: Bill Belichick's going to be gone next year.
- 1:30:10Speaker 7: I do, like I am obviously very much out on Bill,
- 1:30:14Speaker 7: but in the in his one defense, I think this
- 1:30:17Speaker 7: season probably would have looked a lot like last year,
- 1:30:19Speaker 7: if everybody had stayed healthy where it still wouldn't.
- 1:30:22Speaker 4: Have been good, but they would see that they would
- 1:30:28Speaker 4: have been gardner.
- 1:30:28Speaker 7: But I'm just saying, like I'm it still wouldn't have
- 1:30:31Speaker 7: been good enough, but they probably would have stumbled to
- 1:30:35Speaker 7: like seven or eight wins and maybe been in it
- 1:30:38Speaker 7: until late December early January.
- 1:30:40Speaker 6: If they stayed completely healthy and all the other teams
- 1:30:43Speaker 6: got all the injuries that they got, then I would
- 1:30:45Speaker 6: agree with you. But like if they like I'm not saying, sorry,
- 1:30:48Speaker 6: if Aaron Rodgers doesn't get hurt, they'd be one in
- 1:30:51Speaker 6: one in nine, right, But I'm not saying completely healthy.
- 1:30:53Speaker 6: I'm just saying you don't lose your two best players
- 1:30:56Speaker 6: on your roster. Like there's a difference between being completely
- 1:30:59Speaker 6: healthy and losing that.
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: Point.
- 1:31:02Speaker 4: Yeah, like you don't have to score as many. I
- 1:31:04Speaker 4: just find it hard to believe.
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: You only had to score eleven last right, really.
- 1:31:08Speaker 20: Devastating injuries to the defense, but we're seeing defense is
- 1:31:12Speaker 20: like really.
- 1:31:13Speaker 7: All we have to hang out?
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: You know?
- 1:31:15Speaker 6: Does would you allow Buffalo to say if we don't
- 1:31:18Speaker 6: lose you know, Milano and Trey White, we don't lose
- 1:31:20Speaker 6: that game.
- 1:31:21Speaker 4: With the Patriots.
- 1:31:21Speaker 7: Maybe I don't know. I'm just saying, but I'm sure
- 1:31:24Speaker 7: you wouldn't. I'm just saying so last year, and to
- 1:31:26Speaker 7: put you know, Fred here your point. Last year, the
- 1:31:29Speaker 7: defense literally scored points for the offense, right, Like, you
- 1:31:33Speaker 7: cannot rely on that, but I can count on the
- 1:31:36Speaker 7: defense making plays to put the offense on short fields
- 1:31:39Speaker 7: like that, that that should happen consistently.
- 1:31:42Speaker 6: I don't think you can rely on turnovers consistently. I
- 1:31:45Speaker 6: think they're they're very much an unknown variable. Well, I
- 1:31:49Speaker 6: think they vary from year to year. I always look
- 1:31:52Speaker 6: at the teams when you go into the playoffs, the
- 1:31:54Speaker 6: teams that have had great plus minds, you know, with
- 1:31:57Speaker 6: the turnovers and not just that, but like Evan said,
- 1:32:00Speaker 6: the scoring, and I bet against those teams in the playoffs.
- 1:32:03Speaker 6: I feel like when you do that, and that's how
- 1:32:06Speaker 6: you got thirteen and three or whatever. Pall it takes
- 1:32:09Speaker 6: is one game in the playoffs where you don't get
- 1:32:10Speaker 6: it when you lose.
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: When Paul says he bets against him, he just yes,
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: it's metaphor for it.
- 1:32:16Speaker 7: My point was, like Alex is just saying that you
- 1:32:18Speaker 7: can't you couldn't imagine to in eight and either could that.
- 1:32:21Speaker 6: I couldn't have either because I thought that at the
- 1:32:24Speaker 6: very worst, they would just be to think I'm really
- 1:32:26Speaker 6: I am negative and I don't ever think of that.
- 1:32:29Speaker 4: But I don't don't you don't hurt of that.
- 1:32:33Speaker 7: But but you said seven wins was their ceiling, right, Yeah,
- 1:32:36Speaker 7: And I don't necessarily disagree with that.
- 1:32:38Speaker 4: They're not going to get to seven wins.
- 1:32:39Speaker 6: But when if everything fell into in other words, if
- 1:32:42Speaker 6: they stayed healthy, everything fell in place, but everybody was
- 1:32:46Speaker 6: hurt close the other teams got hurt, and you didn't like,
- 1:32:48Speaker 6: maybe you could win seven games.
- 1:32:50Speaker 4: That's how I felt about this team.
- 1:32:52Speaker 7: I don't, but I don't necessarily disagree with that. If
- 1:32:54Speaker 7: they're two and eight, Paul, like there, I thought the
- 1:32:56Speaker 7: win four games, that's going to be a lot.
- 1:33:00Speaker 19: I didn't think the offense could get worse than.
- 1:33:01Speaker 6: I didn't think that I would. I would that's I
- 1:33:05Speaker 6: didn't think the offense could be worse than it was.
- 1:33:07Speaker 5: And my question is just I think we all kind
- 1:33:09Speaker 5: of agreed that, like six, I feel like we said
- 1:33:11Speaker 5: a lot. Six six wins feels like the floor for
- 1:33:13Speaker 5: this team. Like he's too good a coach to not
- 1:33:16Speaker 5: get them six wins? Why aren't we the six wins
- 1:33:18Speaker 5: this year?
- 1:33:18Speaker 6: You know, yeah, I would have said, it's like, see,
- 1:33:22Speaker 6: I would I know you think I'm probably lying, but
- 1:33:27Speaker 6: I'm not either for it because I think there's some
- 1:33:28Speaker 6: teams that they could beat, just like the last couple
- 1:33:31Speaker 6: of games they played, they.
- 1:33:32Speaker 4: Could have won. That would be a big mistake.
- 1:33:34Speaker 6: No, I understand that that's a different argument, But like
- 1:33:37Speaker 6: I look at the ten games they've played. If you
- 1:33:39Speaker 6: would ask me before, and I do this all the time,
- 1:33:41Speaker 6: I told you the who was the team they played
- 1:33:44Speaker 6: before the Saints, the Raiders, the Commanders, and the Colts
- 1:33:49Speaker 6: heading into the season, that would have said, you'll go
- 1:33:50Speaker 6: two and two in those four games?
- 1:33:52Speaker 4: Right, they went on four.
- 1:33:55Speaker 6: However, I would have said the Bills is a loss
- 1:33:58Speaker 6: and the Jets is a loss until Aaron Rodgers got
- 1:34:03Speaker 6: so kind of had them at two and eight ish. Now,
- 1:34:08Speaker 6: where it's way different than I thought, is what Alex said.
- 1:34:10Speaker 6: I didn't think it would look like this. I didn't
- 1:34:12Speaker 6: think Mac would look like this. Even though I'm not
- 1:34:15Speaker 6: a big believer in Mac, I didn't think he was
- 1:34:17Speaker 6: capable of throwing interceptions like he did on Sunday was
- 1:34:21Speaker 6: I guess that's maybe more Maybe that's we're probably more
- 1:34:24Speaker 6: similar than the win.
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: It's that time of the week when we got to hurry, Paul.
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: What happened last year?
- 1:34:32Speaker 4: Angry?
- 1:34:32Speaker 9: Uh So?
- 1:34:33Speaker 6: Not surprisingly, when trying to make picks in the midst
- 1:34:36Speaker 6: of a disco tech it didn't go great for really
- 1:34:41Speaker 6: anybody really why uh So, Paul and Fred showed their
- 1:34:46Speaker 6: their veteran savvy. You know, they fought through it. They
- 1:34:50Speaker 6: wait for Paul and Fred eight and six, the best
- 1:34:54Speaker 6: of the week. Evan seven and seven, good job, perfectly mediocre,
- 1:34:59Speaker 6: Mike and Al like six and eight.
- 1:35:01Speaker 4: That's what the regular games by.
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: Horrible.
- 1:35:03Speaker 4: Yeah, I'll get back to you, okay. Uh Paul and
- 1:35:06Speaker 4: Fred also seven to five and two. Make the money
- 1:35:10Speaker 4: with the with the number Evan six, six and two.
- 1:35:15Speaker 4: I'll take it. Alex three, nine and two.
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: Give it to me. Give it to me.
- 1:35:21Speaker 4: You're worse than three and what?
- 1:35:24Speaker 5: What?
- 1:35:24Speaker 10: What?
- 1:35:24Speaker 5: One?
- 1:35:25Speaker 4: One eleven?
- 1:35:26Speaker 9: Two?
- 1:35:31Speaker 4: Fred?
- 1:35:32Speaker 6: My, you know, the records only go back so far
- 1:35:34Speaker 6: because basically the records are only in my head.
- 1:35:37Speaker 4: As you know, I do not recall a week that bad.
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: I congratulations from.
- 1:35:44Speaker 19: The papers, came to play international so.
- 1:35:49Speaker 4: Here we are. The standings are as follows. Alex.
- 1:35:51Speaker 6: Alex maintains her lead despite a tough commute here. She
- 1:35:55Speaker 6: wasn't able to get as dulled up as she normally
- 1:35:57Speaker 6: does when she comes.
- 1:35:58Speaker 19: In with her crown, so much more prime maintenance than I.
- 1:36:02Speaker 6: Am ninety six and fifty four for Alex, Paul ninety
- 1:36:07Speaker 6: two and fifty eight, uh, Evan eighty nine and sixty
- 1:36:11Speaker 6: one coming back, Fred eighty eight and sixty two, deuce
- 1:36:15Speaker 6: eighty seven and sixty three.
- 1:36:17Speaker 7: So you know, the battle for third place is pretty
- 1:36:21Speaker 7: pretty tough there.
- 1:36:22Speaker 4: It's pretty pretty.
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: Tight to.
- 1:36:24Speaker 4: With a spread.
- 1:36:27Speaker 6: Paul seventy five, sixty eight and seven, Alex and Fred
- 1:36:31Speaker 6: seventy two, seventy one and seven, Evan sixty seven, seventy
- 1:36:36Speaker 6: six and seven, and Mike after that one and eleven
- 1:36:39Speaker 6: sixty four, seventy nine and seven seven pushes last in
- 1:36:43Speaker 6: ten weeks. By the way, Mike, you're gonna start to
- 1:36:45Speaker 6: start adding half points to all the spread.
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: Its gotta get rid of pushese. You're all right, let's
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: get into it because you're gonna watch football tonight on
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: Prime Video eight fifteen. Good game. The five and four
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: Bengals are at the seven and three Ravens. Little little
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: news the Cincinnati Bengals social media had to delete a
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: tweet that showed Joe Burrow with something on his throwing hand.
- 1:37:12Speaker 19: He had a little sling brace or something coming off
- 1:37:15Speaker 19: the plan.
- 1:37:16Speaker 20: I get so frustrated with how everything we do has
- 1:37:18Speaker 20: to go through so many approvals. But then I see
- 1:37:20Speaker 20: something like that and I'm like, good, that's why we
- 1:37:23Speaker 20: get it. I understand, right.
- 1:37:25Speaker 4: Baltimore by three and a half.
- 1:37:27Speaker 5: Should I do the George Costanza and just do the
- 1:37:29Speaker 5: opposite of what I think other than this, Well, that
- 1:37:35Speaker 5: is information that is useful with with Joe Burrow, and
- 1:37:39Speaker 5: it's a tough division battle.
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: I think.
- 1:37:40Speaker 5: Doesn't Lamar own the Bengals.
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: I believe.
- 1:37:42Speaker 5: I believe Marlon marlowns the Bengals.
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna go Baltimore.
- 1:37:45Speaker 4: I'm not gonna correct.
- 1:37:46Speaker 5: I'm gonna lay the points. I'll take Baltimore at home.
- 1:37:50Speaker 19: I'm also going to take Baltimore at home.
- 1:37:52Speaker 20: Especially now I feel reassured when A picks with I
- 1:37:55Speaker 20: don't know after last week.
- 1:37:58Speaker 7: I am also gonna take Baltimore at home. But I
- 1:38:01Speaker 7: think it's a three point game. Right, you said three
- 1:38:03Speaker 7: and a half.
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: Yep.
- 1:38:04Speaker 4: So I'm gonna take the Bengals. I guess too. So
- 1:38:06Speaker 4: what does that mean?
- 1:38:06Speaker 6: He's taking fred three and a half points spread, He's
- 1:38:09Speaker 6: taking the point, taking the hook, the good good, taking
- 1:38:13Speaker 6: the hook.
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: I like it.
- 1:38:15Speaker 4: I'm gonna take Cincinnati outright.
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: All right, you're gonna take Cincinnati outright? Yeah?
- 1:38:20Speaker 4: I think they need to bounce back.
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: Trader.
- 1:38:22Speaker 4: I'm sorry, I forget the rules for.
- 1:38:26Speaker 19: Today.
- 1:38:27Speaker 4: Oh that's true.
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm gonna go Ravens both ways here they.
- 1:38:30Speaker 4: I'm a little worried about that injury that I didn't
- 1:38:32Speaker 4: know about.
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: Yeah, Sunday at one, the six and three Cowboys are
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: at the one and eight Panthers.
- 1:38:41Speaker 4: Dallas by ten and a half, ten and a half man.
- 1:38:45Speaker 5: Last week, I laid those points, and that was stupid.
- 1:38:48Speaker 4: Took the points.
- 1:38:49Speaker 5: Yeah, you know what I mean, I'm gonna take down.
- 1:38:51Speaker 4: Maybe that's why he went one and eleven.
- 1:38:53Speaker 5: Probably I'm gonna lay the points as well.
- 1:38:56Speaker 4: I I'm taking Dallas both plays. Yeah, I just don't.
- 1:39:03Speaker 4: Dallas is so immature. Tempted to take a points, but
- 1:39:06Speaker 4: I can't. I can't do it.
- 1:39:07Speaker 5: Insult. I guess are so immature. I'm so mature, making
- 1:39:10Speaker 5: fart noises on the field.
- 1:39:12Speaker 1: Grow up.
- 1:39:12Speaker 4: I will take Dallas.
- 1:39:13Speaker 7: I like when I make Alex crack up by singing
- 1:39:16Speaker 7: Pops random current.
- 1:39:19Speaker 1: You think there's any chance the Panthers could be a destination?
- 1:39:22Speaker 4: Yes on my list?
- 1:39:25Speaker 6: Yeah, because of my leper Yeah, I think big pockets,
- 1:39:28Speaker 6: deep pockets.
- 1:39:28Speaker 19: I should say break reporting.
- 1:39:31Speaker 4: Yes, thank you Savage. I will take the Cowboys.
- 1:39:35Speaker 1: I will take the Cowboys as well. One o'clock six
- 1:39:37Speaker 1: and three Steelers are at the six.
- 1:39:39Speaker 4: And three Browns Uh Cleveland by one. I believe D
- 1:39:45Speaker 4: t r. Will be playing quarterback for.
- 1:39:47Speaker 5: The brownstr.
- 1:39:51Speaker 1: For those of you who don't know, I didn't ye
- 1:39:53Speaker 1: by I mean any good.
- 1:39:56Speaker 4: He's a rookie.
- 1:39:56Speaker 5: He's a good rookie.
- 1:39:58Speaker 1: Man.
- 1:39:58Speaker 5: I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but I'm
- 1:39:59Speaker 5: gonna take Itsburgh on the road. Somehow they keep finding
- 1:40:01Speaker 5: ways to win game. Actually right, God, it's tough, because
- 1:40:05Speaker 5: I do think it's got you good d Pittsburgh take
- 1:40:09Speaker 5: the upset film. Really second guessing myself on all these
- 1:40:14Speaker 5: I'm going to take.
- 1:40:15Speaker 19: The Steelers too.
- 1:40:17Speaker 5: That's a coin flip for me, though, careful, don't have
- 1:40:20Speaker 5: too many similar picks to me and end up in
- 1:40:22Speaker 5: the basement.
- 1:40:23Speaker 19: No, we're bouncing back.
- 1:40:24Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm also going to take the Steelers.
- 1:40:26Speaker 7: I just like them in that spot against a rookie quarterback,
- 1:40:29Speaker 7: I think that they could take care of business.
- 1:40:31Speaker 5: Bitiness.
- 1:40:32Speaker 6: Yeah, I'd probably be a low scoring, tight game the
- 1:40:35Speaker 6: way the first game was. But I'll I will take
- 1:40:37Speaker 6: Pittsburgh as well.
- 1:40:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:40:38Speaker 1: I mean, obviously, if Watson was playing, it's a whole
- 1:40:40Speaker 1: different ballgame, and I'd picked the Browns. But I can't
- 1:40:44Speaker 1: see Tomlin, someone of his ilk los into a rookie
- 1:40:48Speaker 1: quarterback being thrust into the game like the way he is.
- 1:40:52Speaker 1: So I'm going to take the Steelers. One o'clock, three
- 1:40:54Speaker 1: and seven Bears are at these seven and two Lions.
- 1:40:58Speaker 1: What was it I heard of a college came looking
- 1:41:01Speaker 1: for Dan Campbell to in Texas, A and m Yeah,
- 1:41:03Speaker 1: it came looking Yeah, he said no.
- 1:41:05Speaker 6: Yeah, so the Lions are favored by seven and a
- 1:41:07Speaker 6: half Lions. But I did find that interesting though, Fred
- 1:41:09Speaker 6: I agree.
- 1:41:11Speaker 5: I will I will take the Lions, and I will do.
- 1:41:13Speaker 1: The points.
- 1:41:15Speaker 19: Lions Lions with the spread.
- 1:41:18Speaker 5: How did you remember the first Pittsburgh Cleveland game? That's
- 1:41:21Speaker 5: just stuck in my head.
- 1:41:21Speaker 4: Right, it was a Sunday night game.
- 1:41:22Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like the first one you go to bed
- 1:41:26Speaker 1: after the first series.
- 1:41:28Speaker 4: I don't know stuff.
- 1:41:31Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:41:32Speaker 4: I just I have memory. I don't know.
- 1:41:34Speaker 6: Like twenty five years ago, Fred hired me to come
- 1:41:36Speaker 6: working for an NFL team, and I thought it might
- 1:41:38Speaker 6: be a good idea to watch the NFL.
- 1:41:40Speaker 4: I don't know. I thought that was good.
- 1:41:41Speaker 5: You know, catalog every game that's played and be able
- 1:41:43Speaker 5: to recall it at any given moment.
- 1:41:45Speaker 6: I've told you we have a million times. If it
- 1:41:47Speaker 6: had any value whatsoever, it wouldn't be stuck in my head.
- 1:41:51Speaker 1: That's right.
- 1:41:51Speaker 5: Cleveland value here? Who started for Cleveland that game? Was
- 1:41:54Speaker 5: that at Watson?
- 1:41:54Speaker 4: Watson? Yeah, we all, we all have strains. At least
- 1:41:58Speaker 4: we had a late fumble costs Cleveland. Cleveland was winning
- 1:42:03Speaker 4: our whole game.
- 1:42:03Speaker 5: I remember that entire I barely remember the Patriots games.
- 1:42:06Speaker 4: Okay, well that's bad. I'll take the Lions both ways.
- 1:42:12Speaker 6: So Justin Field's back in this game, right, Yeah, yeah,
- 1:42:15Speaker 6: I'm still gonna take He's not perfect. I'm gonna take
- 1:42:18Speaker 6: Detroit both ways. That's the number seven and a half.
- 1:42:20Speaker 6: I was thinking about taking the hook, but I'm not
- 1:42:22Speaker 6: going to I'll do it.
- 1:42:24Speaker 1: I'll take those points. Fearless Lions win, but don't cover.
- 1:42:28Speaker 1: One o'clock. The four and five Chargers are at the
- 1:42:31Speaker 1: three and six Packers.
- 1:42:32Speaker 4: This could be a big week for Fred.
- 1:42:34Speaker 6: By the way, there's no Patriots game from automatically to
- 1:42:36Speaker 6: give us a loss. Yeah, let's see here the lack
- 1:42:42Speaker 6: by three at Lombo.
- 1:42:45Speaker 5: It's kind of a tough one. I kind of lost
- 1:42:47Speaker 5: track at Green Bay, but I watched a little. Yeah,
- 1:42:50Speaker 5: I'll watched a little of the Chargers. I'm gonna just
- 1:42:52Speaker 5: I'm gonna go quarterback. I'll take the Chargers.
- 1:42:55Speaker 19: Yeah, Chargers to win, Chargers to cover.
- 1:42:57Speaker 7: I am also gonna I guess I'm gonna take I
- 1:43:01Speaker 7: don't know. Normally I would take the Packers because of
- 1:43:04Speaker 7: the weather and the Lambeau and the l A thing.
- 1:43:07Speaker 7: But I'm going to take the Chargers. Think they're a
- 1:43:09Speaker 7: better team.
- 1:43:11Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm gonna take the Chargers too. I I like
- 1:43:13Speaker 6: the way their offense looked last week. I'm sorry, you
- 1:43:16Speaker 6: guys probably don't know. They played Detroit last week and
- 1:43:18Speaker 6: they lost forty one thirty eight.
- 1:43:20Speaker 4: Okay, but I like the way that Herbert.
- 1:43:23Speaker 6: Touchdowns Keenan Allen in Austin Eckler. There's a couple of
- 1:43:28Speaker 6: obscure players, but you might want to.
- 1:43:30Speaker 4: Pick them up for your fans.
- 1:43:31Speaker 5: I did see some of that game.
- 1:43:32Speaker 4: Actually I missed that one. Well good, you guys were
- 1:43:35Speaker 4: actually in Germany. I'm gonna catch you.
- 1:43:38Speaker 5: Some good Herbert QB. Square.
- 1:43:40Speaker 4: I was watching Cocaine Bear. Cocaine Bear.
- 1:43:43Speaker 1: Yeah, there's only one answer here, and that's the Chargers.
- 1:43:47Speaker 1: Sunday at one, the two and eight Cardinals are at
- 1:43:50Speaker 1: the five and four Texans.
- 1:43:52Speaker 4: Imagine the Texans are hosting the Cardinals with a chance
- 1:43:55Speaker 4: to go six and four. Big game, Houston five, big game.
- 1:44:00Speaker 5: Yeah, Kyler Murray's back, and I think I'm going to
- 1:44:02Speaker 5: take Arizona here, bringing Houston back to earth a little bit.
- 1:44:07Speaker 4: Is that your hard or your head?
- 1:44:09Speaker 1: Neither?
- 1:44:10Speaker 5: It's my apathy.
- 1:44:12Speaker 4: Big game for the Tank. Oh, I see what you're saying.
- 1:44:15Speaker 4: I was like, what would the heartbeat anti?
- 1:44:17Speaker 8: C J.
- 1:44:18Speaker 4: Stroud because you don't want them to be good?
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: But that makes sense. You're right, there's a window, and my.
- 1:44:22Speaker 20: Intuition says to pick the Cardinals upset as well.
- 1:44:27Speaker 4: But but Deuce is losing and you don't want to
- 1:44:29Speaker 4: be tied.
- 1:44:30Speaker 19: To Texans to win and the Cardinals to cover.
- 1:44:32Speaker 1: Well, I hope your intuition is right.
- 1:44:34Speaker 7: I'm going to take the as much as I want
- 1:44:37Speaker 7: to take the Cardinals for the tank. I am going
- 1:44:39Speaker 7: to take the Texans both ways because I think Kyler
- 1:44:41Speaker 7: gives gave them a boost last week, but I don't think.
- 1:44:43Speaker 5: It diminishing yea turns.
- 1:44:45Speaker 6: Yeah, I am going to roll the dice and take
- 1:44:48Speaker 6: Houston as well. I think that they show some maturity
- 1:44:50Speaker 6: and handle that big win and build off of it.
- 1:44:53Speaker 6: This is one of those spots that red flag you know,
- 1:44:56Speaker 6: a team it's probably not that good yet, and they're
- 1:44:59Speaker 6: hosting a team that qute unquote they're supposed to beat.
- 1:45:03Speaker 4: I'm gonna roll the dice.
- 1:45:04Speaker 1: Yeah. I'd love for the Cardinals to pull this off,
- 1:45:07Speaker 1: you know, get that third win, but I can't do it.
- 1:45:10Speaker 1: I gotta go with the Texans. Sunday at one, the
- 1:45:13Speaker 1: three and six Titans are at the six and three Jaguars.
- 1:45:17Speaker 4: Another big one for the take.
- 1:45:18Speaker 6: Yeah, Jacks by seven mm hmm. Tennessee's nipping at our heels.
- 1:45:24Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm gonna take I know I'm gonna take jack
- 1:45:26Speaker 5: I'm gonna take Jacksonville to win, but I'm gonna take
- 1:45:28Speaker 5: those points. I think it'll be close.
- 1:45:30Speaker 4: Jacksonville, Tennessee.
- 1:45:33Speaker 19: Yeah, I think Jacks win, Titans cover.
- 1:45:37Speaker 7: I'm gonna take Jacksonville both ways, and I think that
- 1:45:39Speaker 7: the Titans side Ryan Tannehill ask for his release today.
- 1:45:43Speaker 1: What a baby?
- 1:45:43Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I think that one.
- 1:45:47Speaker 6: Yeah, I'll take Jacksonville both ways too. I think they
- 1:45:49Speaker 6: bounce back from their terrible performance against Theiners.
- 1:45:53Speaker 1: Jaguars a kind of weird this year, So I'm gonna go, uh,
- 1:45:57Speaker 1: Titans to cover, but Jaguars to win. Sunday at one,
- 1:46:01Speaker 1: the five and five Raiders are at the six and
- 1:46:04Speaker 1: three Dolphins.
- 1:46:05Speaker 4: Miami by thirteen and a half.
- 1:46:07Speaker 5: Oh boy, love, I really, I really want to see
- 1:46:11Speaker 5: the Raiders lose, but I'm gonna take the point. I'll
- 1:46:14Speaker 5: take Miami to win, but I'm gonna take those points.
- 1:46:16Speaker 5: I think the Raiders are showing some fight and they'll
- 1:46:18Speaker 5: find a way to maybe keep it a little bit close.
- 1:46:21Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 1:46:21Speaker 20: I also regretted giving the favorite a team points when
- 1:46:26Speaker 20: these spreads are like this. So I'm gonna pick the
- 1:46:28Speaker 20: Dolphins to win the Raiders to cover.
- 1:46:33Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm gonna take the Dolphins to win, Raiders to cover.
- 1:46:35Speaker 7: It's too big a spread.
- 1:46:36Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm gonna lay the points. I'll take Miami both ways.
- 1:46:39Speaker 6: Coming off a bye at home, I think the offense
- 1:46:42Speaker 6: gets back.
- 1:46:43Speaker 1: Ah, I'm gonna take the Raiders to cover in this game.
- 1:46:48Speaker 1: Although thirteen and a half, but it's in the roads.
- 1:46:51Speaker 1: It's really ten and a half. So yeah, I will
- 1:46:53Speaker 1: I will definitely take the Raiders to cover. Yeah. Sunday,
- 1:46:58Speaker 1: at one latt of one o'clock game, the two and
- 1:47:01Speaker 1: eight Giants are at the four and six Commanders. Giants
- 1:47:05Speaker 1: looking ahead, maybe the toilet the draft.
- 1:47:10Speaker 4: Washington by eight and a half.
- 1:47:12Speaker 5: Yeah, I just I think the Giants are probably the
- 1:47:15Speaker 5: worst team in the league right now, and I'm gonna
- 1:47:17Speaker 5: take Washington and I will lay the points.
- 1:47:20Speaker 19: I hope that same it range true and we play them,
- 1:47:24Speaker 19: but I will also take the Commanders.
- 1:47:27Speaker 7: Do you I'm gonna take the Commanders, but I think
- 1:47:31Speaker 7: that the Giants cover for some reason, because it's division game.
- 1:47:34Speaker 6: In those games are Tommy DeVito, He's still filing for
- 1:47:36Speaker 6: exactly what Evan said. I will take the points, Washington
- 1:47:39Speaker 6: will win. I'll take the say ten and a half,
- 1:47:41Speaker 6: Paul eight and a half, eight.
- 1:47:42Speaker 19: And a half, Tommy living at home.
- 1:47:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna take the commanders both.
- 1:47:45Speaker 4: Ways, Butcher mac Jones wishes he still lived at home.
- 1:47:48Speaker 1: Commander, I'm sorry what commanders both ways say that? Now
- 1:47:52Speaker 1: we've moved to four oh five, The four and five
- 1:47:56Speaker 1: Buccaneers are at the six and three forty nine Ers.
- 1:47:59Speaker 4: Just a joke, ef. San Francisco by twelve twelve.
- 1:48:05Speaker 5: That's a lot of points, Jerry. I'm gonna take San Francisco,
- 1:48:08Speaker 5: but I'm gonna take those points because I think I
- 1:48:10Speaker 5: think Tampa's showed a little bit of fight, a little smunk.
- 1:48:15Speaker 19: Niners win. I don't know what do they know? Niners cover?
- 1:48:21Speaker 4: What are the shops now?
- 1:48:23Speaker 9: They?
- 1:48:23Speaker 4: What do they know? Fred?
- 1:48:24Speaker 1: They know something.
- 1:48:26Speaker 7: I'm gonna take the forty nine ers both ways. I
- 1:48:28Speaker 7: just think they're a wagon me too.
- 1:48:30Speaker 1: Yeah, forty nine ers both ways. I think they had
- 1:48:33Speaker 1: their little mid season hiccup, and I think they're back
- 1:48:36Speaker 1: for twenty five. The four and five Jets are at
- 1:48:40Speaker 1: the five.
- 1:48:41Speaker 4: And five Bills, Buffalo by seven.
- 1:48:45Speaker 12: Wow.
- 1:48:46Speaker 5: All right, I'm gonna take Buffalo at home, but I'm
- 1:48:48Speaker 5: gonna take those points for the Jets. I'm not sure
- 1:48:50Speaker 5: how they get them, but divisional game, Buffalo seems off.
- 1:48:54Speaker 5: They got a new offensive coordinator. I just I think
- 1:48:56Speaker 5: it'll be a close game, but I think Buffalo.
- 1:48:58Speaker 19: Win unless Steph Diggs demands his release in.
- 1:49:03Speaker 1: The next We can only hope. I'm gonna pick Buffalo.
- 1:49:06Speaker 1: Would you.
- 1:49:08Speaker 4: Wouldn't.
- 1:49:11Speaker 7: I will take the Bills, but the Jets play the
- 1:49:14Speaker 7: Bills tough. This is one game that Josh Allen can't
- 1:49:17Speaker 7: figure out. So I'm gonna take the points for the Jets.
- 1:49:19Speaker 6: Yeah, I agree, and I'm really surprised that Mike didn't
- 1:49:22Speaker 6: say the Jets own.
- 1:49:24Speaker 4: Yeah, that Buffalo. They do own Buffalo. So I'll take.
- 1:49:26Speaker 6: Buffalo to win the game. But the way they're playing,
- 1:49:28Speaker 6: I'm not laying a touchdown anybody. I'll take the jetsformation
- 1:49:32Speaker 6: took the points. You you got it picked the same.
- 1:49:35Speaker 4: Way I did.
- 1:49:35Speaker 1: Wrong new OC for the Bills.
- 1:49:38Speaker 6: Joe Brady just talked, Yeah, but the jelly lighting for
- 1:49:44Speaker 6: Bills dot com.
- 1:49:46Speaker 1: Jets play them, Josh Allen game is McDermott's job is
- 1:49:53Speaker 1: very shaky. Yeah, that's why that getting redder and redder,
- 1:49:57Speaker 1: just like his face.
- 1:49:58Speaker 4: Yeah, all right, I.
- 1:50:00Speaker 1: Will take the Bills, but not to cover. I will
- 1:50:03Speaker 1: take the Jets to win by less than what that
- 1:50:06Speaker 1: point spread is. So what do you happen?
- 1:50:08Speaker 4: Are there only three four o'clock games?
- 1:50:10Speaker 1: Is that what you have?
- 1:50:11Speaker 5: One?
- 1:50:11Speaker 1: Two, three? That's correct?
- 1:50:13Speaker 4: Thanks?
- 1:50:13Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a terrible way to make a bad red
- 1:50:17Speaker 1: zone for a bye week.
- 1:50:18Speaker 5: Yeah, come on, that's dirty, San Francampa's not.
- 1:50:21Speaker 4: Oh it's bad. Uh.
- 1:50:23Speaker 1: The final four to twenty five game is the six
- 1:50:26Speaker 1: and three Seahawks at the three and six ron.
- 1:50:28Speaker 4: Okay, which one owns?
- 1:50:29Speaker 1: Which?
- 1:50:29Speaker 4: Because there is a.
- 1:50:30Speaker 5: Yeah, somebody owns somebody.
- 1:50:32Speaker 4: Well, the Rams won at Seattle in Week one.
- 1:50:36Speaker 5: Can't help them, I can't help I think DK Metcalf
- 1:50:43Speaker 5: caught that big third down pass across the middle that
- 1:50:45Speaker 5: you know he's shuck.
- 1:50:46Speaker 4: Thet tackle was a really anoid scheme.
- 1:50:49Speaker 1: You know what hurt? Red zone has just switched off
- 1:50:51Speaker 1: from the Buccaneers game and they went to this one.
- 1:50:54Speaker 4: And what what what hurt me is we played it
- 1:50:56Speaker 4: for twenty five that week too?
- 1:50:58Speaker 1: So how about these being paid to our game?
- 1:51:02Speaker 5: It's like, what was this spread?
- 1:51:05Speaker 1: One?
- 1:51:05Speaker 4: Seattle by one one?
- 1:51:09Speaker 5: I'm going Seattle, Yeah, Seattle.
- 1:51:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:51:13Speaker 19: If Seattle lost at home the first meeting.
- 1:51:15Speaker 20: I think they avenge themselves, Seattle Avenge Avengers.
- 1:51:21Speaker 7: I'm gonna go with the I'm gonna go with the
- 1:51:24Speaker 7: Seahawks too. I just think they're a better team.
- 1:51:25Speaker 4: I don't know why. That's all I got.
- 1:51:27Speaker 6: Yeah, you're probably right, but I have this abnormal fixation
- 1:51:31Speaker 6: that Fred makes fun of me about with Matthew Staffords.
- 1:51:33Speaker 4: Who I'll take the Rams?
- 1:51:34Speaker 1: Is he playing?
- 1:51:35Speaker 4: I think so? With one arm?
- 1:51:37Speaker 5: Yeahs.
- 1:51:38Speaker 4: These things are just limiting.
- 1:51:40Speaker 1: Seahawks are very quiet six and three.
- 1:51:42Speaker 4: Just you know, I just you don't hear a lot
- 1:51:45Speaker 4: about I gotta give Pete Carroll credit.
- 1:51:47Speaker 6: I mean we always talk about Tomlin. Somehow he finds
- 1:51:49Speaker 6: a way to win these games and keeps them relevant.
- 1:51:52Speaker 6: I think Seattle kind of stinks and and they just
- 1:51:54Speaker 6: keep winning games just like that, just like Tomlin.
- 1:51:58Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with the Seahawks both ways. They cover
- 1:52:01Speaker 1: the one point? Why is there ever a one point?
- 1:52:05Speaker 4: You know?
- 1:52:05Speaker 19: What's the point?
- 1:52:06Speaker 1: Yeah, what's the point?
- 1:52:09Speaker 5: That could be friends for gambling book names.
- 1:52:10Speaker 1: What's the point point?
- 1:52:11Speaker 4: What's the deal with one point? What's the point?
- 1:52:15Speaker 1: You got a better game? You should have more than
- 1:52:17Speaker 1: a point let's see a twenty on and be sure. Uh,
- 1:52:23Speaker 1: the six and four Vikings are visiting the four and
- 1:52:27Speaker 1: five Broncos.
- 1:52:28Speaker 4: Of course, Denver by two and a half.
- 1:52:33Speaker 1: It just like their tenth home.
- 1:52:34Speaker 4: I know that's every year, every year, every year they
- 1:52:37Speaker 4: just want at Buffalo.
- 1:52:38Speaker 1: The other night they did.
- 1:52:41Speaker 5: I'm gonna take I'm gonna take Denver at home. I
- 1:52:43Speaker 5: just they're they're tough there no matter what.
- 1:52:45Speaker 1: So okay, I.
- 1:52:48Speaker 19: Don't want to, but I'll also take Denver at home.
- 1:52:54Speaker 1: It's a tough one.
- 1:52:55Speaker 7: I'm gonna I'm gonna take Denver as well. I think
- 1:52:58Speaker 7: Denver I don't think they're good, but I think that
- 1:53:01Speaker 7: Russell Wilson is at least playing okay, last couple of weeks.
- 1:53:05Speaker 4: Nice, and I think their defense is play.
- 1:53:07Speaker 6: I mean, they were absolutely embarrassed obviously the first few
- 1:53:10Speaker 6: weeks of the season, but they've played pretty well for
- 1:53:13Speaker 6: a month. I keep waiting for this like Minnesota thing,
- 1:53:17Speaker 6: like come on, they can't just keep winning a guy
- 1:53:19Speaker 6: who's been there for twenty minutes.
- 1:53:21Speaker 9: But they do.
- 1:53:22Speaker 4: But I'm gonna pick against him again. I'll take the Broncos.
- 1:53:24Speaker 1: I think Sean Payton's bought himself another year.
- 1:53:27Speaker 6: You know.
- 1:53:28Speaker 4: Yeah, of course, when you give up that much, I
- 1:53:30Speaker 4: thank you. Yeah, I don't think you don't want to.
- 1:53:32Speaker 1: Kind of kidding, but yeah, I'm gonna take the Broncos
- 1:53:35Speaker 1: to win this game at home where else? Monday night,
- 1:53:40Speaker 1: eight fifteen.
- 1:53:41Speaker 4: Fred on Christmas Eve. Oh big surprise. We're sitting here in.
- 1:53:44Speaker 1: Denver making us go to Denver eight fifteen, ESPN, ABC,
- 1:53:48Speaker 1: ESPN two, ESPN plus, ESPN Deportes.
- 1:53:52Speaker 5: Yes, Taylor Swift for the NFL.
- 1:53:56Speaker 1: This is a actually eighty one Eagles at the seven
- 1:53:59Speaker 1: and two at Taylor.
- 1:54:01Speaker 4: Apparently the parents are meeting.
- 1:54:04Speaker 5: She's coming in from Rio. Introduce you to the parents
- 1:54:07Speaker 5: taking the private plane right into Kansas City from Rio.
- 1:54:09Speaker 4: After she is did you ever have any bad experiences
- 1:54:13Speaker 4: meeting the parents for the first time.
- 1:54:15Speaker 5: It's only happened a couple of times A little bit yeah, actually, yeah, yeah,
- 1:54:19Speaker 5: there was something going on with the Dad's.
- 1:54:20Speaker 4: A little bit a little late in the show to
- 1:54:22Speaker 4: get into this, delve into this.
- 1:54:23Speaker 5: I also met like I've also met one of the dads.
- 1:54:25Speaker 5: And then dad was like and I was like, oh,
- 1:54:26Speaker 5: nice to meet you, and he goes, yeah, I bet
- 1:54:27Speaker 5: it is, like like I said, something like like as
- 1:54:29Speaker 5: if there.
- 1:54:29Speaker 1: Was something that that had like that I shouldn't have
- 1:54:32Speaker 1: liked meeting. I don't know.
- 1:54:33Speaker 7: I heard about you do, so I mean, why would
- 1:54:35Speaker 7: the dad be happy to meet you? Let's be honest.
- 1:54:38Speaker 4: I mean, I'm just being a problem to date my
- 1:54:41Speaker 4: daughter over last night.
- 1:54:43Speaker 1: The problem is when he was fifteen, he looked exactly like.
- 1:54:47Speaker 4: How older.
- 1:54:49Speaker 6: Anyway, Kansas City is favored by three, and this is
- 1:54:52Speaker 6: did they do something specific this year trying to give
- 1:54:55Speaker 6: the Monday night games a few more games.
- 1:54:58Speaker 5: Like this this one?
- 1:54:58Speaker 6: I don't know, as usually this would the Sunday night game,
- 1:55:01Speaker 6: right and the Minnesota Denver would be the Monday nighter.
- 1:55:04Speaker 1: Maybe maybe ESPN bitched and they said.
- 1:55:07Speaker 6: Enough because this is a good matchup Philly Kansas City,
- 1:55:10Speaker 6: and everybody would have thought it was a good matchup,
- 1:55:12Speaker 6: you know back in May when they.
- 1:55:15Speaker 4: Three Chiefs by three.
- 1:55:17Speaker 5: I'm gonna I'm gonna take get three.
- 1:55:18Speaker 1: So it's a push.
- 1:55:19Speaker 5: I'm gonna take the Eagles. I'm gonna take the Eagles.
- 1:55:22Speaker 5: I think they just they got a little more. They're
- 1:55:24Speaker 5: playing better. Love Kansas City. I think they're a really
- 1:55:27Speaker 5: good team. But I think Philly has just got a
- 1:55:28Speaker 5: couple more pieces.
- 1:55:29Speaker 19: Right now, I'm actually taking the Eagles to Travis Kelcey
- 1:55:34Speaker 19: on the plane back and forth South America.
- 1:55:38Speaker 5: He's not locked in.
- 1:55:39Speaker 4: She's running to him like she's.
- 1:55:46Speaker 1: Is that the most performative? Was that the most performative
- 1:55:49Speaker 1: thing you've ever seen? She just wrapped herself around him.
- 1:55:53Speaker 19: Chiefs engaged in like next year.
- 1:55:56Speaker 1: I think I can't wait for the album when he
- 1:55:58Speaker 1: breaks up with her, I know, but I can't.
- 1:56:01Speaker 5: Wait for the Chiefs fans who are going to like
- 1:56:03Speaker 5: like hate her forever.
- 1:56:04Speaker 1: You know, like that's gonna start.
- 1:56:06Speaker 7: That's what's happened to your girl with job, Yeah, Hale Steinfeld,
- 1:56:11Speaker 7: they really are.
- 1:56:13Speaker 4: It's happening.
- 1:56:13Speaker 5: I know what we saw it with Gazelle. The same thing.
- 1:56:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:56:16Speaker 4: And just for the record, she like if she ran
- 1:56:19Speaker 4: to me, it would give me.
- 1:56:20Speaker 5: The instantly, like like, be an adult, your dog ran
- 1:56:24Speaker 5: to you and jumped on you.
- 1:56:26Speaker 4: He's a dog. It's different. I want to have that
- 1:56:29Speaker 4: run to me. I know, run, She's only months away
- 1:56:35Speaker 4: from me.
- 1:56:37Speaker 1: Dogs can embrace those. Women can't be an adult.
- 1:56:41Speaker 6: Sixteen adult?
- 1:56:42Speaker 5: Oh my god.
- 1:56:44Speaker 1: I it was like just like I came back from war.
- 1:56:52Speaker 4: It was like one of those surprises. There's no way
- 1:56:55Speaker 4: that she didn't know he was there.
- 1:56:57Speaker 1: She was singing, like putting his name in the song, right,
- 1:57:00Speaker 1: so performative song.
- 1:57:03Speaker 5: A guy from the Chiefs.
- 1:57:05Speaker 1: Yeah if I was.
- 1:57:07Speaker 7: If I was, I'd be like, I'm out, yeah see goodbye.
- 1:57:09Speaker 19: Yeah, he has like billions of reasons.
- 1:57:12Speaker 1: Be good, like he's got his own right after the
- 1:57:15Speaker 1: swift money.
- 1:57:17Speaker 5: If I was on the Eagles and we beat him
- 1:57:18Speaker 5: and they were talking that karma is a bitch, and
- 1:57:20Speaker 5: then I just walked away.
- 1:57:21Speaker 4: You know, here's your did you take anybody?
- 1:57:25Speaker 1: Wow?
- 1:57:26Speaker 7: You guys are Yeah, I can take the Eagles. I
- 1:57:28Speaker 7: just think I I didn't know the Chiefs. The Patriots
- 1:57:30Speaker 7: have had years like this too, where they're good.
- 1:57:34Speaker 4: But not as good as they normally.
- 1:57:35Speaker 7: But just like the record, you can tell by the
- 1:57:37Speaker 7: eye test that there's just something missing.
- 1:57:39Speaker 4: I would agree with that.
- 1:57:40Speaker 6: However, I'm still going to take Kansas City. Coming off
- 1:57:43Speaker 6: the buye at home big game, everybody's focused. Andy read
- 1:57:46Speaker 6: off a bye is like undefeated. That's a good and
- 1:57:48Speaker 6: you know tell.
- 1:57:50Speaker 1: Me and I agree with Evan about the Eagles like
- 1:57:54Speaker 1: they're eight and one, but it doesn't seem that way.
- 1:57:56Speaker 4: Like he was talking about the Chiefs. I think they're
- 1:57:59Speaker 4: not about the.
- 1:58:00Speaker 5: Yeah, you're still I mean the Eagles are slow start.
- 1:58:02Speaker 5: I think the Eagles are starting to find there their mojos.
- 1:58:05Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with the Eagles. But the chief defense
- 1:58:10Speaker 1: is playing really well. I think you know.
- 1:58:13Speaker 4: That's why McDuffie.
- 1:58:16Speaker 1: You know what I'm switching. I'm going with the Chiefs.
- 1:58:18Speaker 1: I just talk myself into it.
- 1:58:20Speaker 4: Yeah, sure, now I have cross ups.
- 1:58:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I think the Chiefs defense bottles up hurts, and this.
- 1:58:28Speaker 4: Is when my integrity is called into question. What did
- 1:58:30Speaker 4: you scribble out there?
- 1:58:31Speaker 19: You should have someone notarize it.
- 1:58:33Speaker 1: Yeah, that's why it's chalk. You have an a racer.
- 1:58:38Speaker 1: You can erase chalk. You know.
- 1:58:40Speaker 7: Oh, it's not gonna apparently that No one knows what
- 1:58:44Speaker 7: that means. No, what's chalk.
- 1:58:47Speaker 1: Chalk is when something is gonna happen, you believe it's
- 1:58:50Speaker 1: gonna happen. That's chalk. That's what I learned from Dan Lipschat.
- 1:58:55Speaker 5: Isn't you a chalk talk guy?
- 1:58:57Speaker 4: I am a chalk talk guy.
- 1:58:58Speaker 1: All right, that's it for this show. We actually didn't
- 1:59:01Speaker 1: have to hurry because we don't have catch twenty two
- 1:59:03Speaker 1: breathing down our neck.
- 1:59:05Speaker 7: That was and we also don't have to pick the
- 1:59:07Speaker 7: Patriots game.
- 1:59:08Speaker 4: It's not just that that was recorded before.
- 1:59:11Speaker 1: So if you want to catch catch two after three,
