Dave Grossman was born in Frankfurt Germany and is a retired Lt Colonel in the Army. He is a US Army Ranger, paratrooper, and former West Point Psychology Professor. He has a Black Belt in Hojutsu and has been inducted into the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame. In 1995, he wrote On Killing: The Psychological Cost of Learning to Kill in War and Society which has sold over half a million copies and is required reading both in the Marine Corps and FBI.
