- 0:04Hi. Thanks for listening to the
- 0:05slippery slope. Obviously, this is Jason, get
- 0:09straight into it going to talk about the Canberra mandates
- 0:12protests. So for quite a while, if you're
- 0:16listening to this podcast, you will have heard me say a few
- 0:19times about how we need to keep on our politicians.
- 0:25We need to keep making them accountable.
- 0:29They've been elected by you and I, and at least for now,
- 0:35Australia is a democracy. And while vaccines, I believe
- 0:40there are scientific Marvel and then my be an important medical
- 0:45tool. Over mandates a wrong Man, dates
- 0:51are wrong. And that's why keep saying, we
- 0:57need to keep our politicians accountable, we've had too many
- 1:03instances where our politicians are doing the wrong thing.
- 1:09They themselves are breaking the law, they are, they are
- 1:15Feathering their own nest. When the supposed to be serving,
- 1:19the people of this nation and now just in it for themselves
- 1:23too many times. But yeah, let's go over the the
- 1:27Canberra protest Canberra mandate protests.
- 1:32So I want to go through one article which came through on
- 1:35the Sydney Morning Herald and the headline says, on my own
- 1:39terms, why vaccine mandate protesters are in Canberra so
- 1:45says that under Berg's Rochelle Evergreen received her Bachelor
- 1:50of Education in the mail this week but as far as she can,
- 1:53she's concerned it's just a fancy piece of paper that cost
- 1:56thousands of dollars and close to six years of part-time study.
- 2:01Miss Evergreen is one of the five percent of Australians who
- 2:05have decided to abstain from getting the covid-19 vaccine and
- 2:09is therefore unable to teach in Queensland and I will say I am
- 2:15one of the five percent of Australians who also decided to
- 2:19abstain. And I'm currently not working
- 2:22because of that decision going on, Ms. Evergreen travel to
- 2:28Canberra on Wednesday to protest.
- 2:31It's covid-19 mandates. As part of the Convoy to
- 2:34Canberra, she said she's lost the support of a family.
- 2:37Over her decision to not get vaccinated against covid-19 and
- 2:41Views the protest as her way of standing up to segregation in
- 2:45Australia. While there's an array of people
- 2:47with a range of beliefs is Evergreen.
- 2:49Said, they're all United waiting in wanting to end the compulsory
- 2:54vaccination. I never thought we'd see
- 2:57segregation like this in this country.
- 2:59Now another man. Ooh that the protest is name is
- 3:02Paul Kelly in the snot the musician Paul Kelly.
- 3:07It says Paul Kelly moved from Sydney to he lands in and
- 3:11Northern New South Wales after feeling ostracized in Sydney,
- 3:15the choosing not to be vaccinated, he was able to keep
- 3:18working at the Wayside Chapel where he helped people dealing
- 3:22with substance abuse issues and those without a home isn't that
- 3:27crazy that someone who was it was basically working.
- 3:32In a, in an area where you're just giving of yourself and
- 3:36because you choose, you don't want to get vaccinated you're
- 3:40not allowed to work. That's just that's ludicrous.
- 3:43The people that makes these decisions are just crazy.
- 3:46Hey girl, going on, this is Paul Kelly says, I like to think I'm
- 3:50a humanitarian. I just want to continue being
- 3:54able to help people while choosing what I do with my body.
- 3:58Mr. Kelly said the vaccines used in Australia, have gone through
- 4:03three clinical trials and have been approved by overseas
- 4:05bodies. They have conditional approval
- 4:08by Australia's regulatory body, the therapeutic Goods,
- 4:12Administration vaccine, mandates have also been in use in a
- 4:16number of Australian Industries for some years.
- 4:20One nation, Senator Malcolm. Roberts rallied against vaccine
- 4:24mandates and federal Parliament on Wednesday after former
- 4:27liberal, former liberal MP Craig Kelly, who is now the leader of
- 4:31the United Australia party welcomed some representatives
- 4:35from the Convoy into Parliament House.
- 4:38We have in Queensland at a time when there's an increasing load
- 4:43on police to enforce capricious lockdown and other restrictions
- 4:47Senator Roberts said, Vince and Maxine Milton traveled from MIT,
- 4:52agong in New South Wales to join the Convoy.
- 4:55On the first day of parliamentary on the first day
- 4:58of parliament are assisting in the hope their presence in
- 5:01Canberra, will help lead to the end of mandatory vaccinations.
- 5:05Mr. Milton is 75 years old and These job as a mechanic last
- 5:10year for refusing to get vaccinated against covid-19.
- 5:13He said he would have liked to retire, but on his own terms,
- 5:18isn't this see? That's just blows my mind.
- 5:21He's 75 75 and he cannot make a decision himself.
- 5:25Whether he wants to be vaccinated.
- 5:27That's that's just it's outrageous.
- 5:31He goes on to say mr. Milton says I'm not an
- 5:34anti-vaxxer. I've had all the others but I
- 5:37reserve my right. Right to wait to get vaccinated
- 5:40until I'm ready. I don't want to be corralled
- 5:43into it by the government. We should be allowed to have
- 5:46choices. That's what mr.
- 5:48Milton said I've got to say it. What he is just expressed is
- 5:52exactly how I feel. Now I had religious I have
- 5:56religious views on why did not want to get the vaccination but
- 6:01it was really the Mandate that I am against even from a religious
- 6:06point of view. I'm not an easy vaccine.
- 6:09Exactly like what. Mr. Milton the saying you don't
- 6:13want to be corralled into it by the government.
- 6:16He goes on to say that I don't want my grandchildren to have to
- 6:18get vaccinated to protect me. My immune system protects me.
- 6:23Mrs. Milton added. Now, a Susanna Priddle travel
- 6:28from Sydney, to represent the youth Advocate who has an
- 6:31application in the high court, for the injunction of the
- 6:34vaccine for children that will be held on Thursday.
- 6:37We just want to make sure it's safe for children, then we can
- 6:40move forward but we believe it's being too rushed.
- 6:43She said now just just on that subject.
- 6:48A bit children getting vaccinated with full covid-19.
- 6:51Other countries have pulled back from from vaccination Dating
- 6:56younger people and I did at least one podcast on how leave
- 7:01it was Thailand and I think a couple of European countries
- 7:04that have pulled back on on vaccinating especially young
- 7:09males because of the effects that it has on them and yet
- 7:14Australia's rushing forward with vaccinating young people and in
- 7:20the younger the better as far as the Australian government's
- 7:22concerned. So, now we had that argument.
- 7:26So we have that article. Now this next article have to go
- 7:32through the title. This is from ABC News.
- 7:35Listen to this for heading dating apps like Tinder and anti
- 7:40covid vaccine mandate, protests drawing a Zio's attention
- 7:46according to an annual threat assessment.
- 7:49So I'm not going to read the whole lot of this.
- 7:51I'll read mainly focus on the covid-19 mandate protests but it
- 7:57goes on to say in the article, Starts off by saying foreign
- 7:59spies are using Tinder and other dating apps to recruit
- 8:03Australians with access to sensitive government secrets.
- 8:07Now, first of all, I've got to say no joke that has been
- 8:11happening ever since spying was born the classic Honeypot that
- 8:17that's you don't need Tinder to do that.
- 8:20That is always gone on when, when spine from one country
- 8:24between countries is involved. It's always been in use.
- 8:28You don't need Tinder to do it. My goodness these it's I read.
- 8:33Some of this section is just ridiculous.
- 8:35It's like where they're like, they talked as if they've
- 8:38discovered something new, the only thing that has happened is
- 8:41the using apps. Now, that's the only difference.
- 8:44It's always been around but the certainty.
- 8:47Next section of this article goes on to say anti-vaccine me
- 8:51and a protesters closely monitored We need to take notice
- 8:56of that, I'll repeat it ain, t vaccine mandate, protesters
- 9:01closely monitored. So you can guarantee if you were
- 9:05in Canberra protesting, you're probably you're probably your
- 9:10details a prominent probably being taken down.
- 9:14I did a podcast, I think it was last month about warrantless
- 9:19spying in Australia and how Azo is pushing towards.
- 9:24And they're already doing it. But they're pushing towards
- 9:27warrants less spying on its citizens in this country and I
- 9:33believe anti-vaccine me and a protesters.
- 9:36You're going to be on the list, goes on to say, in here, the
- 9:40director-general also described. How covid-19 has sent online
- 9:44radicalization into overdrive with isolated individuals
- 9:48spending more time exposed to extremist messaging
- 9:50misinformation and conspiracy theories.
- 9:55He says some Australians believe the government's approach to
- 9:58vaccinations and lockdowns, infringed their freedoms and in
- 10:03a small number of cases grievance turned to violence.
- 10:06He said now, just with this paragraph here, when he says
- 10:11some Australia's, believe the government's approach infringe
- 10:15their freedoms, that's because they did infringe on their
- 10:19freedoms just lately. We've had a lot of talk.
- 10:23A lot of talk about the religious, Is freedom Bill and
- 10:26how it will and how its it might affect human rights of other
- 10:31groups. And yet the human rights for
- 10:36people to choose whether they were going to be vaccinated or
- 10:39not was clearly infringed and yet the government's in this
- 10:44country did not give a damn. They did not give a damn anyway
- 10:49goes up to say in these uptick it specific issue or grievance
- 10:53motivated violence. Unionism extremism.
- 10:57Many of the actors are newcomers, so it's harder to get
- 11:00a sense of what is simply big tall, and what is genuine
- 11:03planning for violence over the past week?
- 11:06Some protesters in Canberra have been recorded on video calling
- 11:10for violence, against the elected officials, including the
- 11:12execution of the Prime Minister, which I will say is wrong.
- 11:17You cannot call. You cannot say that rubbish, the
- 11:21execution of our prime minister. Come on, that's ridiculous.
- 11:25Mr. Burge is revealed suspects younger than 18.
- 11:29Now, make up more than half of AZ has priority counterterrorism
- 11:33investigations each week. Where once miners tended, to be
- 11:37on The Fringe of extremist groups, we are now seeing
- 11:40teenagers in leadership positions.
- 11:42That's very interesting. They are directing.
- 11:45Adults are willing to take violent action themselves.
- 11:48He said easier is aware of miners, preying on other miners,
- 11:53seeking to turn them to their violent.
- 11:55Biology and using grooming techniques similar to those used
- 11:59for pedophiles Following last year's fall of Afghanistan's
- 12:05government to the Taliban. I'm going to stop there.
- 12:08Okay? That's that line there last
- 12:11year's for a for of Afghanistan's government.
- 12:15It wasn't a fall, the American. Sorry.
- 12:20The American government is Old Smoky Joe Biden.
- 12:27The probably the most useless president in the history of the
- 12:32American, the American Country Nation.
- 12:38He basically handed it to the Taliban and right next to him
- 12:44was the Australian government and the United Kingdom.
- 12:48They all just handed the keys of the Kingdom back to the Taliban,
- 12:53let's just waste a trillion dollars and then hand it all.
- 12:56Back to them. They knew it was going to get
- 12:59fall into the hands of the Taliban.
- 13:01The only thing that was surprised that is how quickly it
- 13:03fell. So for him to say or last year's
- 13:07for of Afghanistan's government to the Taliban, that's
- 13:10ridiculous. It wasn't a fall.
- 13:13It was given when he should be saying when last year when we
- 13:18handed the gut, when we handed Afghanistan back to the Taliban
- 13:22Asia, I was continuing to monitor the country closely
- 13:25warning violent extremists, from this region May again travel
- 13:29there for militant training. I just think for starters
- 13:35easier, monitoring easier, monitoring anti-vaccine, mandate
- 13:41protesters. It's like I said, if you were at
- 13:45that protest at all, okay, you need to be aware of what's going
- 13:50on. Like I said, did that podcast a
- 13:54month ago, have a listen to it and look at how our laws have
- 13:57changed and how we're heading down this path where we can have
- 14:00warrantless spine from Asia. I think it's disgusting.
- 14:07Like I keep saying, we need to keep our politicians
- 14:13accountable, okay. We're you don't make them
- 14:16accountable through violence but when you vote make it clear, we
- 14:22do not agree. Personally, I'll there is no
- 14:27way. I'm going to be voting on.
- 14:29Tell you exactly who I voted for.
- 14:31There's no way I'm going to be voting the same way I did for
- 14:35the state or federal government's next time.
- 14:37No way. Keep our politicians
- 14:43accountable. This is all my opinion and
- 14:47easier if you're listening, please note.
- 14:50I do not do not support any violence or any threats of
- 14:55violence. Okay.
- 14:57Peaceful protest suddenly, that's my opinion.
- 15:01That's my beliefs. Thank you for listening to the
- 15:04slippery slope.
