- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: The liberal globalist order is on its brink and awakening a new conservative age.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_00]: Dr. Steve Turley joined me every day as we discover answers to today's toughest challenges and explore the re-bondalization of conservative civilization.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: This is Turley Talks.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: Something horrifying is happening in the city of Milan.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_00]: Italy's financial capital is just endured two days of burning bins, smashed storefronts, looted shops, and violent clashes with police, and Georgia Maloney's government is responding with 500 additional troops to defend the city.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: But what many fear is that what's happening in both France and Italy is a harminger of what's to come for Europe as a whole.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: Stick me the very end of this video because we're going to see precisely what's happening with these riots and why a new political realignment stretching from Maloney's Italy to Le Pen's France couldn't eat open the door to a new era of European civilizational renewal.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_00]: Hey gang, it's me, Dr. Steve, your patron professor here to help you make sense of the madness with breaking news and analysis.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_00]: You're not going to get anywhere else.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_00]: So make sure to smack that bell and subscribe button.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't just France over the weekend, several hundred hooded protesters descended on central Milan, setting bins of blaze, looting stores and clashing with police by Monday.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: shops along via Montenapolione, the luxury district featuring Chanel and Tiffany and Dior had removed merchandise from their windows as a precaution while businesses boarded up storefronts and closed early.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: It was nothing short of a total social meltdown, society basically stopped functioning.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: And the government's message could not have been
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: clearer in response.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: Deputy Prime Minister and Matteo Savini under the direction of Italy's Prime Minister George Maloney announced the deployment of 500 troops to, in his words, quote, defend Malon.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: For her part Maloney was clearly furious.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: She condemned the violence and promised a firm response to what she called a blatant attack against the Italian state itself.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: Now, these 500 troops are an addition to military troops that are already deployed to Milan under something called Operation Safe Streets.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_00]: That's an existing military mission supporting public security.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: So these troops are
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: supplying additional military support for the authorities responsible for protecting Italy's public spaces.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_00]: And politically, the symbolism is unmistakable.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: The Italian government is saying that the streets belong to lawful.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: Italian citizens, not whoever could smash the most windows.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: And it's already working.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_00]: Authorities have reportedly detained over 270 rioters during Sundays on REST in Milan, and given that the rioters were in ordnantly young.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: The government's response includes allowing police to hold under 18 year olds for up to 12 hours, even without a completed offense where evidence indicates they pose a danger.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: So this is this is clearly a crackdown on these riders.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_00]: Now, these riots in Milan.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_00]: are a spillover from what we saw erupt in France of the same weekend.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: They endured one of their worse explosions of social unrest in years.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: In Le Mans, fire tore through the historic town hall, leaving much of the building destroyed.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: Across the country's shops, polluted public buildings attacked and police confronted violent crowds.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: By Sunday, authorities were reporting more than
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: But it was all too little too late to scale.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: The destruction was simply unmistakable.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: And to make matters even worse, we have our own modern day, Neuro, French President Manuel Macron, and his wife, Brigette, we're seeing at a Celine Dion concert, all at the same time that Paris was burning.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: But what more and more analysts are recognizing is that what's behind both these riots in France and in Milan,
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: is what's commonly referred to as a red-green alliance, a coalition of communist and socialist on the one side and radical environmentalists and militant Islamists on the other.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: And what's so interesting here is that while these groups may disagree about the kind of society they ultimately want to usher in, they are nevertheless united by a common enemy.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: and that common enemy, unfortunately, is Western civilization.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: And so what's happening on the streets of France and Italy is we're seeing professional far-left activists providing the organization, the ideology, and the revolutionary strategy.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: All the while Islamist movements are providing the demographic energy in the grievances, the third world grievances, and second and third generation migrants, particularly in France's heavily Islamic suburbs, they're providing many of the foot soldiers carrying the violence in their case from the schools to the streets.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: And the key here is that what brings this coalition together is a shared desire to tear down Western civilization.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: The Marxist wanted to destroy capitalism, the Islamists wanted to destroy the Christian foundations of Europe, and the radical greens wanted to dismantle the economic and industrial order that made the modern west possible.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: Different ideologies, different ultimate objectives, but the same immediate target.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: And this is giving rise.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: to a massive backlash among more and more Europeans all across the continent.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: A backlash where politics is no longer seen as about being left versus right.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's now about civilizational survival versus extinction, and that is the backlash that promises to ultimately defend the continent and destroy these cultural Marxist movements once and for all.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_00]: Most people don't know this, but the older we get, the less we hold on to heat.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: So imagine being stranded in a broken down car in the middle of the night and having to walk for help, a rainstorm, even in the summer could mean hypothermia.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_00]: Having this tiny orange bag in your glove box could be the difference between life and death for you or your loved one.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_00]: Everyone always wants to know, what the heck is this?
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: What is in this tiny orange bag that could protect me and my family from hypothermia in a situation like that?
- 7:06[SPEAKER_00]: I kid you not, this is a full size, heat reflective emergency sleeping bag that actually fits in the palm of your hand.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_00]: I've literally never seen anything like this, it's absolutely amazing and you heard that right, it's an emergency thermal sleeping bag that can keep you warm down to Arctic temperatures.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's waterproof, it's windproof and bright orange so you're easy to spot in a disaster.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_00]: Emergency experts recommend having one of these on hand for every member in your family.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's a no-brainer survival tool that gives your loved ones a real edge in a disaster and you piece of mind knowing that there's a safety net for them in a crisis.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: You won't find these in any stores, the technology that goes into these smart little bags isn't wildly available.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: Sierra Modra created this emergency sleeping bag to be small enough to fit in your pocket, your glove box, your junk drawer, your go bag, they wait to
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: 10 times less than a typical sleeping bag, but there's seven feet long, three feet wide, so they'll fit anyone.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: Now a typical sleeping bag crossed you up around 200 bucks, but even though these are more technologically advanced and more compact,
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: you're going to spend a fraction of that to get your hands on one of these today because this week Sierra Mondra has to clean out their warehouse before a new shipment arrives.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_00]: So they're giving everyone a chance to stock up on Sierra Mondra's emergency sleeping bag and marking these down over 59 percent.

- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: Oh,

- 9:13[SPEAKER_00]: Here's where this becomes much bigger than Milan or France.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: This confrontation illustrates the central appeal of what scholars call civilizational populism.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: Government must defend more than just economic statistics.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: It has to defend a shared home.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: A nation is not merely an administrative district or a collection of consumers.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: It's an inheritance.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: a language, a history, a landscape, institutions, customs, and obligations linking generations together.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: And public order matters because that inheritance can't flourish where ordinary people afraid to open their shops or walk through their neighborhoods or use their public squares.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: This is the civilizational argument.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: Freedom requires a functioning common life.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: Culture requires institutions capable of transmitting it.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: And sovereignty means very little.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: If the government can't protect the people in whose name it governs.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_00]: Now, from this perspective, restoring order is not the whole project of renewal, but it is an indispensable beginning.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_00]: You can't rebuild confidence in a civilization while telling its citizens to accept permanent insecurities the price of modern life.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_00]: And consider what's happening in France.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_00]: In October, a docks a poll put Marine Le Pen at 37 or 38% in the first round of their presidential election.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_00]: That's just six months away.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: And all the polling is showing her blowing out her opponents in the second round, the runoff against any challenger the left puts up against her.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_00]: So these polls were revealing just how profoundly the political landscape has shifted over the last just say five years.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_00]: Le Pen's movement, her national rallies no longer simply protesting the establishment from the outside.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's competing to replace the establishment at the very center of French executive power.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: Germany tells another part of the story.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_00]: The latest polling shows the AFD, the alternate fedoic land, as the number one most popular party in the nation.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: This after the German political establishment tried to get the AFD banned from politics.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: I kid you not.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: The message to the traditional parties is unmistakable.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_00]: You cannot assume that voters will keep returning to institutions they believe have stopped listening and stopped defending.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_00]: And this extends way beyond just France and Germany.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_00]: In June, the European Council on Foreign Relations counted populist right parties leading or participating in national governments in seven European Union countries.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_00]: The same analysis describes their growing influence over mainstream policymaking, including where they remain outside government.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's the larger transformation, questions of sovereignty, belonging, identity, and cultural continuity are moving toward the center of European political argument and are therefore providing the electoral infrastructure for civilizational renewal.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_00]: The immediate challenge is to protect peaceful citizens while preserving peaceful protests.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_00]: No question.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: The deeper challenge is whether Europe can recover the will to defend its common life.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_00]: That's why this moment matters.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_00]: Not because 500 soldiers can solve every problem, but because the civilization begins its renewal when it decides that its people, its institutions,
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: Europe does not have to choose between freedom and order.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_00]: It simply needs the confidence to preserve both.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_00]: Gang before you go, this is Turley Talks bold roast and it's quickly become one of my favorite ways to start the day.
