- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome to Dirty Rush, The Truth about Sorority Life with
- 0:04Speaker 1: your hosts me Gia, Judaice, Davey Kent, and Jennifer Kessler.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Welcome back to another episode of Dirty Rush.
- 0:17Speaker 3: I'm Mike, and today the boys are taking over the
- 0:19Speaker 3: pod for the day.
- 0:19Speaker 4: We've got it up a.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Group of frat boys from Santa Clara to answer some
- 0:22Speaker 3: questions that sorority girls have sent in.
- 0:24Speaker 5: Hi.
- 0:25Speaker 2: I'm Dylan and I will be the host today. Let's
- 0:27Speaker 2: get into these questions. Do you guys want to introduce
- 0:30Speaker 2: yourselves really quick?
- 0:31Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm William, I'm Ben, I'm Jack, I'm Charlie.
- 0:36Speaker 4: I'm Cole, I'm Luke.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Okay, first question, what made you really want to join
- 0:42Speaker 2: a frat? Was it the brotherhood? Was of the partying girls?
- 0:47Speaker 4: I would say just really the brotherhood environment.
- 0:49Speaker 7: First day on campus, you see all the guys out
- 0:51Speaker 7: in their front yards hanging out with each other, having
- 0:53Speaker 7: a good time, and that's kind of an environment that
- 0:55Speaker 7: you want to be a part of. If you see that,
- 0:57Speaker 7: you want to join that, And I think that's what
- 0:59Speaker 7: really Dremana, I altern.
- 1:01Speaker 4: I also feel like all the guys are all pretty similar.
- 1:04Speaker 8: So when I go to like.
- 1:04Speaker 6: When I came to school first time, I was like, Oh,
- 1:07Speaker 6: these guys are all the most similar to me.
- 1:08Speaker 4: I'd probably want to be doing what these guys are doing.
- 1:12Speaker 4: A yeah, I definitely say the brotherhood. I mean, there
- 1:15Speaker 4: are a lot of opportunities and join the fraternity, a
- 1:18Speaker 4: lot of people to meet that are interested in different things,
- 1:20Speaker 4: and it's just a great environment to meet people and
- 1:23Speaker 4: get yourself out there and support others, to be supported
- 1:25Speaker 4: by others.
- 1:26Speaker 5: So girls was never a factor.
- 1:28Speaker 4: Definitely a fact. I've seen what you guys do. Have
- 1:30Speaker 4: parts were a part of this.
- 1:35Speaker 5: I like that of course.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Another question, do you care if girls slept with another
- 1:41Speaker 2: one of your fraternity brothers.
- 1:43Speaker 8: I would love to speak on this. I we face
- 1:46Speaker 8: this problem multiple times. I think you just gotta get
- 1:49Speaker 8: over it. It just matters how long it lasted who
- 1:55Speaker 8: especially so sure the taller the worst. I found. Yeah,
- 2:02Speaker 8: good guys, they all around love them.
- 2:05Speaker 4: It hurts a little.
- 2:07Speaker 6: Yeah, I feel like it's hard because especially going to
- 2:10Speaker 6: like small school, it's like a lot of people have
- 2:12Speaker 6: gone with each other, so you kind of just gotta
- 2:14Speaker 6: hope that she's gone with one of your boys. Is
- 2:17Speaker 6: kind of a stud because then that means that she
- 2:20Speaker 6: like she's she's kind of better. I mean, if she
- 2:23Speaker 6: got with one of my boys, it kind of sucks
- 2:25Speaker 6: and I that's true.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, no, I agree with that. You know, I
- 2:29Speaker 4: think at this age all every girl has a pass,
- 2:32Speaker 4: you know, might as well have more experience?
- 2:36Speaker 5: Are they Are they off limits if someone's gone with them?
- 2:39Speaker 4: Never?
- 2:42Speaker 3: No, I feel like the access kind of off limits stuff
- 2:44Speaker 3: depending on if you're a good guys.
- 2:46Speaker 4: So it depends.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Yeah, that's like really dependent on it or how close
- 2:50Speaker 1: you are with the guy. And also like if that
- 2:54Speaker 1: girl has been getting around, it's like she's off limits.
- 2:58Speaker 4: Yeah what about you, Cole, I'd say no, no matter what,
- 3:03Speaker 4: like under any circumstances, I'm never going to get with
- 3:06Speaker 4: the girl who like got with one of my friends.
- 3:08Speaker 5: Okay, yeah, good answers.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Do you favorite sorties if they are more popular, like
- 3:17Speaker 2: the top ones or for the bottom ones? Do you
- 3:18Speaker 2: have any preferences for girls?
- 3:21Speaker 4: Like no, but yes, you know what.
- 3:24Speaker 9: I mean, like you would never rarely you would go
- 3:28Speaker 9: like all the way down, but like you can say
- 3:31Speaker 9: in like the.
- 3:31Speaker 4: Mid to how to toe on her her own men, Yeah.
- 3:35Speaker 3: No, I feel like it doesn't matter as long as
- 3:36Speaker 3: they're like any girl in the top couples are already
- 3:39Speaker 3: just gonna be pretty like normal and fun to hang
- 3:41Speaker 3: out with.
- 3:41Speaker 5: But I just feel like, does it make her hotter
- 3:45Speaker 5: she's in an.
- 3:48Speaker 4: Actually that doesn't mean.
- 3:51Speaker 9: It's just that typically the better looking girls are going
- 3:54Speaker 9: to be in the better sorority.
- 3:56Speaker 4: I guess it's just like a statistical thing.
- 3:59Speaker 5: A girl in the worst house.
- 4:00Speaker 4: If she if she fit all the other like, she
- 4:03Speaker 4: might be better.
- 4:04Speaker 6: You're actually no, potentially, I don't think I would be
- 4:08Speaker 6: seen in public.
- 4:09Speaker 4: Yeah, I actually it doesn't actually matter.
- 4:13Speaker 9: Though it doesn't actually matter, but I can just picture
- 4:15Speaker 9: what people would say say about it.
- 4:17Speaker 4: Okay, who you're dating a girl in whatever authority?
- 4:20Speaker 10: Yeah, if she's in that, Like, if she's a cool
- 4:24Speaker 10: person and she's also pretty hot, she's not going to
- 4:27Speaker 10: be in that lower sorority. So I think just speak
- 4:29Speaker 10: like because of the fact that she's in if she
- 4:32Speaker 10: was like hot, an inequal person, she's in a lower.
- 4:34Speaker 4: Sorority, I would totally date her. But that just doesn't happen. Yeah,
- 4:37Speaker 4: it doesn't happen. It just doesn't do.
- 4:40Speaker 5: Another question. We have formal coming.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Up soon two weeks and what do you look for
- 4:46Speaker 2: in a date, A formal date, a date.
- 4:52Speaker 8: I've had some experiences with formal formal to date leaven
- 4:57Speaker 8: night or so when looking for formal dates, I look
- 5:00Speaker 8: on the longevity I'm living, if they're gonna go, if
- 5:04Speaker 8: they're gonna make it the two nights last the weekend.
- 5:09Speaker 8: It was true love, but you know there was flights
- 5:13Speaker 8: on them that work. So I'm looking for a girl
- 5:15Speaker 8: that's loyal, who wants to I'm open. I don't know
- 5:19Speaker 8: who was on this podcast, mainly models I'd bring, but
- 5:22Speaker 8: it's in AA and Newport Beach. Please set me up.
- 5:27Speaker 5: What kind of qualities do you look for in a
- 5:29Speaker 5: formal day?
- 5:31Speaker 3: A formal day, Like you want someone who's gonna have
- 5:33Speaker 3: a fun time. Yeah, but if a girl's not gonna
- 5:36Speaker 3: stay out with you and your boy, then just gonna
- 5:37Speaker 3: like make you go back, or like kind of try
- 5:40Speaker 3: and control you, like it is a fraternity formally you're
- 5:42Speaker 3: kind of taking like.
- 5:43Speaker 4: A friend, but also like obviously you wanted to be hot. Yeah,
- 5:46Speaker 4: I mean I'd say you for formal or like a
- 5:49Speaker 4: date event, just someone because you're gonna be spending majority
- 5:51Speaker 4: of the time with them. Someone you're gonna have a
- 5:52Speaker 4: good time with and like, just I don't know someone
- 5:55Speaker 4: who's awesome able to be around your boys too at
- 5:57Speaker 4: the same time for sure.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Okay, another question, do you guys get bummed when your
- 6:04Speaker 2: fraternity brother gets wiped up or I guess in a relationship?
- 6:08Speaker 10: Yeah, definitely, Like this is a recent sore spot. Like
- 6:12Speaker 10: one of my guys isn't even dating a girl yet
- 6:14Speaker 10: and he's just so whipped. Like we went on spring
- 6:17Speaker 10: break and he just like completely lost the plot and
- 6:19Speaker 10: it was for the entire time and he was the worst.
- 6:22Speaker 10: Really bummed me out.
- 6:23Speaker 9: I definitely that shit, but in our house at least,
- 6:26Speaker 9: like most guys have girlfriends, and it definitely changes the.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Vibe of things.
- 6:31Speaker 9: It's like guys don't hang out like at night, leaving
- 6:36Speaker 9: parties early, leaving bars early to go to bed. Definitely
- 6:41Speaker 9: does isn't conducive to like a good brotherhood environment.
- 6:45Speaker 11: But to reach their own Yeah, I feel like you
- 6:47Speaker 11: need a couple of those guys in relationships though, to
- 6:50Speaker 11: kind of even out the crowd, you know, calm the
- 6:53Speaker 11: boys down a little bit, because if no one has girlfriends,
- 6:55Speaker 11: then everything's going to hell pretty quick.
- 6:58Speaker 4: Like I feel like it's good to have some boys.
- 7:00Speaker 6: Yeah, like happy influences a little bit, you know, have
- 7:04Speaker 6: some girls.
- 7:05Speaker 4: That's good. Take god. Yeah, no, I agree with that
- 7:07Speaker 4: because you also kind of the dynamic of the dudes.
- 7:09Speaker 4: You kind of get no girls, they don't have girlfriends,
- 7:11Speaker 4: and then like you got the dudes with girlfriends and ship.
- 7:15Speaker 4: So like I think it alsops pure mature and I'm
- 7:17Speaker 4: always happy to see my boys, you know, get in
- 7:19Speaker 4: the good loving relationships.
- 7:21Speaker 7: So yeah, I would say it's always good seeing seeing
- 7:24Speaker 7: the boys doing well for themselves. I think if the
- 7:26Speaker 7: girl's good for the guy, they and the guy doesn't
- 7:29Speaker 7: overdo it. I would say, like some of our friends
- 7:31Speaker 7: overdo it, hang out with their girls a little bit
- 7:32Speaker 7: too much. I'd say if they have that happy balance
- 7:35Speaker 7: and it's good for everyone.
- 7:37Speaker 8: Living in the house with the kids talking with girlfriends,
- 7:41Speaker 8: it is not good at all, Like what we live
- 7:43Speaker 8: with nine guys, Well, I guess i'd say like pretty
- 7:47Speaker 8: much their team. Yeah, saying like there's what three of
- 7:51Speaker 8: us that don't have girlfriends. It changes in a lot.
- 7:55Speaker 3: That's not normal though, Like yeah, yeah, it does seem
- 7:58Speaker 3: the vibe that the only people actually care, the people
- 8:00Speaker 3: who don't have girlfriends still.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Yeah, what has been your favorite party theme you've had
- 8:24Speaker 2: and why?
- 8:26Speaker 4: What? I don't know.
- 8:28Speaker 9: Kentucky Derby, Kentucky Derby is super fun, Kentucky Derby is good.
- 8:31Speaker 4: I liked Mayhem. Mayham was fun, but like the Christmas parties.
- 8:35Speaker 12: Always like Mayhem is kind of like we try to
- 8:39Speaker 12: do like every theme in one almost and like a
- 8:41Speaker 12: lot of time we have, like whether it's a pledge classes,
- 8:44Speaker 12: their sororities have like a certain theme themselves, so everyone's
- 8:46Speaker 12: showing up.
- 8:47Speaker 4: In a different theme. I guess it's kind of like Mayhem. Yeah,
- 8:50Speaker 4: and then the decorations reflect that as well.
- 8:52Speaker 3: It's all like Neon, like random ship everywhere, like fully
- 8:56Speaker 3: black charped off everything, kind of like Neon ray Bob
- 9:00Speaker 3: with a bunch of crazy right now things.
- 9:01Speaker 4: It's kind of everything we have sitting in our garage,
- 9:04Speaker 4: just like we'll put it up. Yeah.
- 9:08Speaker 5: What has been your worst date party story?
- 9:11Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 9:11Speaker 4: I guess it's not really a day party. One time
- 9:14Speaker 4: I just met this girl like we were kicking have
- 9:16Speaker 4: a good time, and we go back to her room
- 9:21Speaker 4: and then suddenly she just like fell backwards and I
- 9:24Speaker 4: was like, oh, like going in a check on her
- 9:26Speaker 4: and I asked she was laying on the floor. She's
- 9:28Speaker 4: like threw up it her bell and I was like, okay,
- 9:31Speaker 4: so I leave to go start like helping her out.
- 9:34Speaker 4: I come back and apparently she had just like all
- 9:38Speaker 4: over full and like I was throwing up.
- 9:42Speaker 6: Well.
- 9:42Speaker 4: I kind of left the situation probably after it and
- 9:47Speaker 4: her friends came in. But yeah, definitely a first for me.
- 9:52Speaker 9: Freshman year, I was set up on a formal day
- 9:57Speaker 9: to a sority formal with the girl I never met girl.
- 9:59Speaker 4: I had no who she was.
- 10:01Speaker 9: And the way it works here is like the stories
- 10:03Speaker 9: have like big buses, like fun party buses that will
- 10:06Speaker 9: take you to the venue. And this venue was about
- 10:09Speaker 9: an hour away for some reason. And I got put
- 10:11Speaker 9: on the last bus that was me, my date, and
- 10:16Speaker 9: then two.
- 10:17Speaker 4: Other couples, so there's only six of us.
- 10:20Speaker 9: The buses are huge, exactly, the buses are huge, and
- 10:22Speaker 9: we were on a tiny one that was.
- 10:24Speaker 4: Just the six of us. I didn't know anybody could
- 10:26Speaker 4: be fun and it wasn't fun.
- 10:29Speaker 9: And then where was the in San Francisco formal the
- 10:33Speaker 9: venues in San Francisco And then we show up and
- 10:35Speaker 9: I was like, I don't know. I think I was
- 10:38Speaker 9: like not paying any attention to this girl, and I
- 10:41Speaker 9: kept fund like passer op to all my friends like oh,
- 10:43Speaker 9: have you met so and so? Have you met some
- 10:45Speaker 9: you know? And it just didn't go very well. And
- 10:49Speaker 9: then like a couple of weeks later, I'm hearing things
- 10:51Speaker 9: that she was saying like that I was like getting
- 10:55Speaker 9: with other girls at the formal or something like that,
- 10:58Speaker 9: which I wasn't, So she was just lying. I don't
- 11:00Speaker 9: know if she was lying or she misheard something or whatever.
- 11:04Speaker 9: But then and then I had to go back and
- 11:06Speaker 9: I had to go to the person like set me
- 11:07Speaker 9: up with this girl and be like hey, like that
- 11:09Speaker 9: was awful, Like why would you need that to me?
- 11:12Speaker 4: That's a horrible date. Yeah, thank god that story is over.
- 11:17Speaker 4: That wasn't good.
- 11:18Speaker 8: I'll tell a story. Heard two friends go to random dates,
- 11:22Speaker 8: all anonymous, go down. Maybe it was the same date
- 11:27Speaker 8: event in San Francisco's and so they took buses there.
- 11:30Speaker 8: They may have been party buses. I think there were
- 11:32Speaker 8: more spread out buses.
- 11:34Speaker 5: So it's two guys, you know, and then two girls,
- 11:37Speaker 5: two brands, bring two of our friends and the young
- 11:39Speaker 5: on the bus have a few too many drinks and
- 11:43Speaker 5: they see one of the guys sees their other date
- 11:47Speaker 5: stand up and pee on the bus and get proceeded
- 11:52Speaker 5: to get kicked off the bus and the other one follows,
- 11:56Speaker 5: and the two were stuck in usuff and couldn't get
- 11:59Speaker 5: into the event because their dates. There's no good freshman stories.
- 12:07Speaker 5: You guys have the best. What about like your about
- 12:12Speaker 5: the fall? There was definitely something I grow over.
- 12:14Speaker 6: It really drownk but as a freshman, and keep calling
- 12:16Speaker 6: me the wrong name out of Russian event that I
- 12:17Speaker 6: brought up to pretty demoralizing. I was just probably wouldn't
- 12:21Speaker 6: have let her have the whole bottle of wine though,
- 12:24Speaker 6: But that was fun.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Those are great stories. What goes down in the fraternity
- 12:29Speaker 2: group chat? Anyone want to share anything, You don't have
- 12:32Speaker 2: to go too far.
- 12:33Speaker 4: So it depends on the president probably like it depends
- 12:36Speaker 4: on the alter.
- 12:37Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 12:37Speaker 4: It always shanges.
- 12:38Speaker 5: It depends on a leader for sure.
- 12:40Speaker 4: Our freshman year it was pretty gnarly.
- 12:43Speaker 9: I felt like there was always kids getting in trouble
- 12:45Speaker 9: for like saying whatever. But it was pretty free for
- 12:48Speaker 9: a right when the newest piece got added, it was
- 12:51Speaker 9: pretty free and like oping to say kind of.
- 12:53Speaker 4: Whatever we want to. I mean, we do have some rules,
- 12:56Speaker 4: some like pretty strict rules.
- 12:58Speaker 9: And that yeah no slur, yeah that obviously, and then
- 13:02Speaker 9: you can't like no name dropping girls things like that.
- 13:07Speaker 7: Yeah, I would say, like the better like gossip wherever
- 13:11Speaker 7: you want to say is in like our smaller fraternity chats,
- 13:14Speaker 7: like our chat with you guys, like our freshman in
- 13:16Speaker 7: junior chat, or like our freshman and sophomore chat that
- 13:19Speaker 7: always has a little bit more jokes on or somebody's
- 13:21Speaker 7: always getting dogged on one of those chats, compared to
- 13:24Speaker 7: like our bigger full fraternity chats a little bit more
- 13:27Speaker 7: like for important stuff.
- 13:28Speaker 4: Yeah, like the things like strictly business.
- 13:31Speaker 10: I'd be like, nobody really is talking in that unless
- 13:33Speaker 10: they have, like the conversation won't start unless it's like
- 13:36Speaker 10: business oriented. And then like in the smaller chats, it's
- 13:39Speaker 10: always some bullshit going on, like one of our buddies
- 13:42Speaker 10: and the stupid pictures with his girlfriend.
- 13:44Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, or like there's something that would be said
- 13:47Speaker 3: in the full fraterournity it's like did we have a
- 13:49Speaker 3: private story that's just a fraternity Oh yeah, yeah, that's.
- 13:53Speaker 5: Kind of good stuff on snapchat.
- 13:55Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
- 13:57Speaker 2: I think also when people drink, when we have all
- 13:59Speaker 2: the night out, like it gets very active when people
- 14:02Speaker 2: are drunk.
- 14:04Speaker 5: Maybe people try to fight.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Other guys or like I don't know, try to get
- 14:08Speaker 2: more just rowby, try to get ready.
- 14:10Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Yeah, another question, did you guys try to seem cooler
- 14:15Speaker 2: during frat rush?
- 14:18Speaker 5: For sure by doing well? How'd you act actual any different? Like? Well,
- 14:24Speaker 5: I don't know in what ways did you try to?
- 14:25Speaker 4: Like you think I acted different? I think I probably
- 14:27Speaker 4: not like a yes man. You know.
- 14:29Speaker 9: It's like if they if they like something, I like
- 14:31Speaker 9: that too, you know what I mean? Like you like soccer.
- 14:33Speaker 9: I've never watched off in my life. I love soccer,
- 14:35Speaker 9: you know what I mean. Like I'm really getting into soccers,
- 14:37Speaker 9: you know what I mean? Or just like he's just
- 14:40Speaker 9: playing out my character.
- 14:41Speaker 10: Yeah, you know, I think you like censor like some
- 14:44Speaker 10: of the things that you don't go with like your
- 14:46Speaker 10: first instinct on things you like, you try to make
- 14:49Speaker 10: yourself more appealing, like Cole said, whereas like you were trying,
- 14:53Speaker 10: like when you're trying to make somebody like you, you
- 14:54Speaker 10: appeal to what they like.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Yeah, there's people that lie that were saying like I'm
- 14:58Speaker 2: a photographer, I'm a DJ.
- 15:00Speaker 5: We have hobbies that they will never do.
- 15:02Speaker 9: That stuff that's just bound to happen, though, like dudes
- 15:04Speaker 9: who at of seem like completely lie about who they are.
- 15:07Speaker 7: But I would say, like there's definitely a big difference
- 15:09Speaker 7: between like how girls act in rushing out guys acting rushed.
- 15:11Speaker 7: I'd say it's a lot more likely for girls to
- 15:13Speaker 7: like put on a complete like facade and act completely
- 15:16Speaker 7: different than yeah they are.
- 15:17Speaker 4: Guys can kind of see.
- 15:18Speaker 7: Through that a little bit easier, I guess, or like
- 15:20Speaker 7: they can see like your true character, I feel like
- 15:23Speaker 7: through all the things that you say, So it's a
- 15:25Speaker 7: little bit harder to put on that front. But I
- 15:27Speaker 7: think definitely, like like Luke was saying, putting on that
- 15:31Speaker 7: like censorship of some things is definitely something that happen.
- 15:34Speaker 5: I think that comes from the stereotype of girls being
- 15:36Speaker 5: better at being fake.
- 15:37Speaker 9: Yeah, our rush is also so different. It's like months long,
- 15:40Speaker 9: and like you're hanging out with guys every day and
- 15:42Speaker 9: you really get to know a guy. It's not just like,
- 15:44Speaker 9: you know, three days where you're even have ten to
- 15:46Speaker 9: fifteen minute conversations.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Yeah, can you guys share your worst hazing story without
- 15:51Speaker 2: getting in trouble.
- 15:53Speaker 4: No, probably no, probably not Okay.
- 15:59Speaker 2: If you were to much, would you have to get
- 16:00Speaker 2: paid to do hazing again or pledging again?
