- 2:07Speaker 1: parlay action here on your end today.
- 2:10Speaker 3: We do.
- 2:11Speaker 2: We've got a little college football parlay action I'm bringing
- 2:14Speaker 2: to you right now with Hard Rock Bet. Still a
- 2:17Speaker 2: little bit scarred by last week, but you know what
- 2:20Speaker 2: they say, Hutton. Week zero doesn't really count. That's not
- 2:22Speaker 2: going on my permanent record that I got one out
- 2:25Speaker 2: of three right in my parlay. Why?
- 2:27Speaker 3: Because we didn't know anything about those teams, right? It's
- 2:29Speaker 3: week zero. It's too early.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Well, I have a little something for you. It's week one.
- 2:33Speaker 3: I don't know anything about these teams because they haven't
- 2:34Speaker 3: played yet. But guess what?
- 2:36Speaker 2: We're winning this week, baby.
- 2:37Speaker 3: We're all winning.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Chad, we don't know much about these teams, but we
- 2:40Speaker 1: know who they're playing. We know these teams who they're playing.
- 2:43Speaker 2: We know who they're playing. We know that Colorado in
- 2:48Speaker 2: those practice videos– look like a 1A high school football
- 2:51Speaker 2: team in Idaho with their size. They're not a big
- 2:55Speaker 2: football team. Georgia Tech, physical with Brent Key. Georgia Tech
- 2:59Speaker 2: will physically pound the hell out of Colorado on Thursday night.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Give me Georgia Tech minus six and a half against Colorado.
- 3:08Speaker 2: That's the opener Thursday night football in college in Atlanta.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Give me Georgia Tech at home minus six and a
- 3:14Speaker 2: half Give me Alabama. I think they're going to do
- 3:16Speaker 2: a lot in Keelan Russell's debut. I know that everybody's
- 3:19Speaker 2: talking about the heat in that game. It's going to
- 3:21Speaker 2: be very hot. It's going to be very hot everywhere.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Middle of the day. It's an 11 a.m.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Kickoff central time against East Carolina. I like Alabama to
- 3:27Speaker 2: win and win by four touchdowns or more. They're a
- 3:30Speaker 2: 27.5 point favorite in that one. And Jacob Lutz.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Kentucky Wildcats. Will Stein's debut.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Kenny Minchie, a player I highlighted as one I'm.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Anxious to see.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Hutton, shockingly, this is the fourth smallest line of the
- 3:43Speaker 2: weekend in In the SEC. 23.5 against Youngstown State. Youngstown State,
- 3:50Speaker 2: a good FCS program. But do you know what Kentucky plays?
- 3:53Speaker 2: They play in the Southeastern Conference. It's not FCS. It
- 3:57Speaker 2: is a home debut for Will Stein. He is going
- 3:59Speaker 2: to look to impress. He's going to do a lot
- 4:01Speaker 2: with Kenny Minchey and his offense. Give me the Wildcats.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Minus 23.5 to route Youngstown State and Will Stein's debut.
- 4:11Speaker 2: So again, parlay. Georgia Tech minus 6.5 on Thursday. Alabama
- 4:16Speaker 2: minus 27.5 Saturday morning.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Kentucky minus 23.5.
- 4:21Speaker 2: That game at noon Central time, 1 o'clock Eastern on Saturday.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Chad, I know typically you look at these huge spreads.
- 4:30Speaker 1: You're like, man, that's a lot of points. I don't
- 4:32Speaker 1: know about you. I normally lay the points. I normally
- 4:35Speaker 1: go with the favorite.
- 4:38Speaker 3: The giant favorite? Yeah, normally, normally.
- 4:41Speaker 2: I mean, I really considered like Missouri is a 51
- 4:45Speaker 2: and a half point favorite against Arkansas Pine Bluff. And
- 4:48Speaker 2: I considered making them one of the teams because we've
- 4:51Speaker 2: seen Drinkwits, especially in that night game, which he's got
- 4:54Speaker 2: one of those again to open the season, just unleash
- 4:57Speaker 2: hell on a team like Arkansas Pine Bluff in the past.
- 5:01Speaker 3: So I could see them winning like, you know.
- 5:03Speaker 2: 80 to three, 70 something to 10 in the game
- 5:07Speaker 2: and covering that spread easily.
- 5:09Speaker 3: I'm kind of with you. I mean, there are giant lines.
- 5:11Speaker 3: There's a line right there.
- 5:13Speaker 2: All over the place. The Kirby Allen Kirby special, too,
- 5:15Speaker 2: by the way, Ohio State and Ball State. Ohio State
- 5:18Speaker 2: is a 50-and-a-half point favorite against Ball State in Week 1.
- 5:22Speaker 2: You're seeing the SEC lines right now. 48-and-a-half for Tennessee. Arkansas,
- 5:27Speaker 2: 40-and-a-half over North Alabama. Vanderbilt, a 30-plus point. favorite, Oklahoma
- 5:34Speaker 2: 41.5 against Utah.
- 5:35Speaker 3: 48.5 for Tennessee. It is brutal.
- 5:37Speaker 2: I mean, what Vegas is telling us, Hutton, is there
- 5:39Speaker 2: are three games in the Southeastern Conference worth watching. Now,
- 5:42Speaker 2: one may surprise us and be a little bit closer
- 5:45Speaker 2: than we thought.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Sure, no doubt.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Maybe I lose the Kentucky-Youngstown State bet, and Youngstown State
- 5:50Speaker 2: is playing with Kentucky into the second half. But the
- 5:52Speaker 2: three games worth watching are LSU-Clemson, Ole Miss-Louisville, and Auburn-Baylor
- 5:57Speaker 2: down in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. And that's about it
- 6:01Speaker 2: this first weekend. The rest are giant lines. And it's
- 6:04Speaker 2: really that way across college football. Oregon and Boise State
- 6:08Speaker 2: is pretty interesting. You know, just kind of an off-the-radar
- 6:10Speaker 2: game to start. But Oregon's a 24.5-point favorite. But that's,
- 6:15Speaker 2: you know, Boise State's a team that could contend for
- 6:17Speaker 2: that group of five playoffs berth. So that's one to watch. But, yeah,
- 6:22Speaker 2: a lot of blowout city in week one.
- 6:23Speaker 3: What is the spread, you said, for Kentucky and Youngstown?
- 6:26Speaker 2: 23.5, Kentucky.
- 6:26Speaker 3: Okay.
- 6:29Speaker 1: I don't know how Kentucky managed to pull this off,
- 6:32Speaker 1: but they're scheduled to start the season.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Dear Lord. They've got Youngstown.
- 6:37Speaker 1: If they're not going to blow out an opponent in
- 6:39Speaker 1: Youngstown State, they're hosting Alabama the following week. And then
- 6:45Speaker 1: they're visiting College Station.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Tough.
- 6:51Speaker 1: So they play Alabama and A & M two of
- 6:53Speaker 1: the first three weeks of the season. That's unheard of
- 6:57Speaker 1: right now in the SEC programs.
- 6:59Speaker 2: To me, any time you have that Week 2 SEC game,
- 7:04Speaker 2: it completely puts your schedule out of hand.
- 7:06Speaker 3: It's a wacky deal. Yeah, I agree.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Remember for years it was always Georgia and South Carolina
- 7:11Speaker 2: playing Week 2?
- 7:11Speaker 3: Georgia and South Carolina, yeah.
- 7:12Speaker 2: And I'm like, they're playing before anybody else plays. They
- 7:15Speaker 2: get one SEC game under their belt. It's huge if
- 7:17Speaker 2: you win it, but it also, when you look at
- 7:19Speaker 2: the schedule, it's so front-loaded. When you start early, when
- 7:22Speaker 2: you start with three non-conference games... in a row, it
- 7:26Speaker 2: really makes the front end of the schedule usually like, okay,
- 7:28Speaker 2: we're 3-0. If you're a decent SEC team, it's like.
- 7:32Speaker 3: It's a preseason.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Yeah, but when you ramp up the other way and
- 7:36Speaker 2: you're playing SEC games early, it makes a big difference.
- 7:38Speaker 3: Now, with the rule that you've got.
- 7:40Speaker 2: To play a power conference opponent, everyone does, you're going
- 7:43Speaker 2: to get at least one test, you would think. I
- 7:46Speaker 2: would say Vandy has the easiest of tests.
- 7:49Speaker 3: I agree. They host NC State.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Good season to schedule NC State from what I saw
- 7:55Speaker 2: in Charlottesville in their game against Virginia this past weekend.
- 7:58Speaker 3: So that should be a good one for Vandy.
- 7:59Speaker 2: But, yeah, it's definitely an imbalanced schedule when you look
- 8:03Speaker 2: at that when you're playing that SEC game early, and
- 8:05Speaker 2: it's going to be tough for Kentucky.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Throw that graphic back up, JT, because I want to
- 8:09Speaker 1: see these huge valleys that are the spreads here. So, like, Chad,
- 8:19Speaker 1: right now, just first glance, I'm taking Alabama like you have.
- 8:23Speaker 1: I'm taking Kentucky. I'm taking Texas in this game against
- 8:26Speaker 1: Texas state. I would take, I mean, at this point
- 8:29Speaker 1: tech take a and M at home against Missouri state,
- 8:33Speaker 1: but like even Tennessee 48 and a half seems so
- 8:36Speaker 1: steep with who they're starting at quarterback of the debuts.
- 8:39Speaker 1: I mean, again, there's no reason why that game's not 52,
- 8:42Speaker 1: three 52, nothing.
- 8:45Speaker 2: I think the only ones I would hesitate of the
- 8:47Speaker 2: big ones to take, like I would really probably go
- 8:49Speaker 2: the other way. Um, Arkansas because so many unknowns. I
- 8:55Speaker 2: know nothing about North Alabama. Go to Kelly in Vegas.
- 8:59Speaker 2: We'll have all your North Alabama info you need later today.
- 9:02Speaker 2: I'm sure she knows their entire depth chart.
- 9:03Speaker 3: On Tilt is coming up.
- 9:04Speaker 4: Right.
- 9:05Speaker 2: On Tilt will have you covered with that one. I
- 9:06Speaker 2: know nothing about UTEP either. On Tilt will have you
- 9:09Speaker 2: covered with all UTEP minor info later in the day
- 9:11Speaker 2: as well. But Oklahoma, not the type of team to
- 9:14Speaker 2: typically blow out.
- 9:16Speaker 3: An opponent early. I would also say Georgia.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Georgia's going to win easily, but Georgia's going to get
- 9:21Speaker 2: up five touchdowns and completely take the foot off the
- 9:24Speaker 2: gas and run the ball the rest of the game.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Do they cover 45.5 against TSU?
- 9:29Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Those are the only ones I'm even considering.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Might as well, man. But see, look at the smaller
- 9:36Speaker 1: ones now. LSU, 10.5 Clemson.
- 9:40Speaker 3: Ole Miss, 6.5.
- 9:40Speaker 1: I would bet on Louisville. to beat Ole Miss before
- 9:45Speaker 1: Clemson even comes close to touching LSU.
- 9:47Speaker 2: You know something that we haven't even considered in looking
- 9:50Speaker 2: at this? Because I would take LSU minus 10.5.
- 9:52Speaker 3: Me too.
- 9:53Speaker 2: By the way, Missouri up to 54.5 now against Arkansas
- 9:57Speaker 2: Pine Bluff. What's the biggest point spread? we've ever seen?
- 10:01Speaker 2: On Tilt, we'll have you with that one too.
- 10:02Speaker 3: That's a great question.
- 10:03Speaker 2: I'm asking this question to Kelly and Ariel and Joe
- 10:04Speaker 2: right now. Later in the day, have us the biggest
- 10:07Speaker 2: college football point spread of the point spread era.
- 10:10Speaker 3: Yes.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Of online wagering. Let's get with Hard Rock Bet. Let's
- 10:14Speaker 2: figure out what it is. Because Missouri-Arkansas Pine Bluff has
- 10:17Speaker 2: to be challenging for that record. At 54.5 points. Something
- 10:22Speaker 2: we haven't even considered, Hutton, that I haven't even thought about.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Hasn't crossed my mind until right now.
- 10:25Speaker 3: Yeah. What if Clemson beats LSU? Oh.
- 10:31Speaker 2: I mean, Dabo Sweeney.
- 10:32Speaker 3: Dabo. God's favorite warrior. Dabo Sweeney.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Man. If he goes in and beats LSU with all
- 10:40Speaker 2: this talk about Kiffin the villain and all they're trying
- 10:42Speaker 2: to do, I'm not even considering that as a possibility.
- 10:45Speaker 3: It's a 10.5 point spread. I'm not either. It's possible.
- 10:48Speaker 2: I think he's giving way too much respect to Clemson.
- 10:51Speaker 2: No one's thinking about Clemson right now, right?
- 10:53Speaker 3: No.
- 10:53Speaker 2: For a team that every year was top five for,
- 10:56Speaker 2: felt like a decade straight, you know, in the preseason,
- 10:59Speaker 2: and now they're not even a consideration.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Football is back. Best time of year is for bettors.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Hard Rock Bet ready with features, app updates, and promos.

- 11:20Speaker 3: That's hardrock.bet.clay.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Jared Stillman, the host of Stillman & Company, had his
- 11:26Speaker 1: credential revoked by the Tennessee Titans. All because he, well,
- 11:31Speaker 1: they didn't say this specifically because of this, but all
- 11:35Speaker 1: because he dared ask a question to their coddled quarterback, apparently.
- 11:40Speaker 1: They said they're not coddling him. Certainly seems that way.
- 11:45Speaker 1: We've got that straight ahead. Jared Stillman joins us next.
- 11:48Speaker 1: It's Anthony Withrow presented by Hard Rock Bet. And congratulations
- 11:53Speaker 1: to the Tennessee Titans for taking a story and making
- 11:57Speaker 1: it national. And that's exactly what they've done with Jared Stillman.
- 12:00Speaker 1: They removed the Stillman & Company credential from covering practices
- 12:05Speaker 1: and press conferences. And they took a host from a
- 12:10Speaker 1: YouTube channel and also a SiriusXM host. away from covering
- 12:15Speaker 1: their team. Jared Stillman joins us here on the program
- 12:18Speaker 1: after asking, how dare you, Jared? Asking the second-year quarterback
- 12:23Speaker 1: how he would assess his training camp thus far. And
- 12:25Speaker 1: he asked a question to you, which you responded with,
- 12:28Speaker 1: I thought, very well and fair. And what, less than
- 12:33Speaker 1: a week later, on the eve of the press conference
- 12:36Speaker 1: with the general manager, you no longer have a credential
- 12:39Speaker 1: to go ask a question.
- 12:40Speaker 3: Coincidence?
- 12:42Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, I guess you'd have to ask them
- 12:44Speaker 4: that question and not me.
- 12:45Speaker 5: I would just say this.
- 12:47Speaker 4: I mean, the Tennessee Titans have really tried over the
- 12:51Speaker 4: years lately to control the message. And they've done a
- 12:56Speaker 4: really good job of trying to control the message by
- 12:58Speaker 4: managing the messengers. And I've never really been one to
- 13:02Speaker 4: play that game, just like you guys have never been
- 13:04Speaker 4: ones to play that game. And so for me, I
- 13:07Speaker 4: was disappointed by the Titans' decision.
- 13:10Speaker 5: I understood it. I accepted it.
- 13:12Speaker 4: But I just think that this is another example of
- 13:15Speaker 4: why this team wins three games a year when other
- 13:19Speaker 4: teams are competing for the playoffs and the Super Bowl.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Did they tell you that your credential was revoked because
- 13:25Speaker 1: of the question to Cam Ward?
- 13:27Speaker 2: No.
- 13:28Speaker 4: I was given a couple different reasons. Number one, I'm
- 13:32Speaker 4: just a YouTuber. I'm not on a radio station anymore.
- 13:36Speaker 3: Just a YouTuber, by the way.
- 13:38Speaker 2: One of the biggest platforms on the planet.
- 13:40Speaker 4: I did say, you know, when they called me, I
- 13:43Speaker 4: was like, well, I did just do three hours of
- 13:45Speaker 4: SiriusXM radio. And they said, yeah, well, you know, you
- 13:49Speaker 4: don't need to be in the building to be able
- 13:53Speaker 4: to do that SiriusXM job, which, okay, fine.
- 13:57Speaker 5: Um, I mean, it's still an outlet.
- 13:59Speaker 4: Like I, it's still a nationally recognized outlet, but whatever. Uh,
- 14:06Speaker 4: I think to me, they said it was more the
- 14:08Speaker 4: totality of my, uh, coverage that there wasn't any one incident.
- 14:13Speaker 4: And let me be frank. I'm very hard on the
- 14:15Speaker 4: football team. But the football team's done a lot for
- 14:18Speaker 4: me to be very hard on them for. And it
- 14:21Speaker 4: seems like every year the Titans come up with some
- 14:24Speaker 4: new philosophy or they have some sort of new idea.
- 14:27Speaker 4: They feel like they've reinvented the wheel.
- 14:29Speaker 5: It doesn't add up. It doesn't make sense for success.
- 14:33Speaker 4: And quite frankly, I'm sick and tired of hearing all
- 14:36Speaker 4: of those new players or new coaches or new general
- 14:41Speaker 4: managers or new free agent signings or new draft picks
- 14:44Speaker 4: that are going to save this team.
- 14:46Speaker 5: And I'd like to see some results.
- 14:49Speaker 4: And they go out against the Seahawks and they get
- 14:51Speaker 4: absolutely waxed by the Seattle backups.
- 14:55Speaker 5: And then after the game, the coach is like, well, it's.
- 14:58Speaker 4: A good thing that we gave up that 35 yard
- 15:00Speaker 4: touchdown against the Seattle backups.
- 15:02Speaker 5: And I'm like, I'm done hearing this crap.
- 15:05Speaker 4: I've been hearing this stuff from the Titans for the
- 15:07Speaker 4: last four or five years. They have been terrible. They
- 15:10Speaker 4: keep getting worse. And yet I guess I'm the problem. So,
- 15:15Speaker 4: you know what, um, If they have a great season
- 15:18Speaker 4: this year, then we can all say, you know, it
- 15:22Speaker 4: was when they got rid of that turd in the
- 15:23Speaker 4: punch bowl, Jared Stillman. And if they stink, I think
- 15:28Speaker 4: a lot of people are going to say after week
- 15:30Speaker 4: two or three, maybe you should have worried about winning
- 15:32Speaker 4: games and not about Jared Stillman.
- 15:35Speaker 3: Who actually made the phone call to you, Jared?
- 15:38Speaker 4: So it was the PR director of the Titans, Everett Geerling.
- 15:41Speaker 4: He's a really, really good guy.
- 15:43Speaker 5: He really is.
- 15:44Speaker 4: And I even told him at the end of the conversation,
- 15:47Speaker 4: Cause I let him go on and he said, you know, Hey,
- 15:49Speaker 4: like we've decided that, uh, you know, we don't feel
- 15:52Speaker 4: like you, uh, need access to the building for press
- 15:56Speaker 4: conferences and practices. Uh, we just feel like at this point,
- 16:01Speaker 4: you know, it's probably, I don't want to have to
- 16:03Speaker 4: have this conversation. This is an unfun conversations are not
- 16:07Speaker 4: fun conversation to have, but, and I let him go on.
- 16:11Speaker 5: And then I was like, okay, it's my turn now.
- 16:13Speaker 4: And I said to him, You know, I'm a fan
- 16:17Speaker 4: of this team and I'll be a fan of this
- 16:18Speaker 4: team after you're gone because that's how this works. But
- 16:24Speaker 4: I understand you got a job to do and I
- 16:26Speaker 4: understand you have bosses. And I told him in the end,
- 16:29Speaker 4: I said, hey, I want you to know I still
- 16:30Speaker 4: consider you a friend. Like, I feel like this decision
- 16:34Speaker 4: was made above him. And as is the case with
- 16:37Speaker 4: the Titans, he is just victim number 800 of this
- 16:41Speaker 4: new trend they have of making somebody else answer for
- 16:45Speaker 4: somebody else's decision. We saw this when they fired John
- 16:48Speaker 4: Robinson and they sent Vrabel out to the podium to
- 16:51Speaker 4: answer questions about it. That's kind of a Titan thing.
- 16:54Speaker 4: So I don't hold this against Everett. Again, I consider
- 16:56Speaker 4: him a friend. I think he's a very good guy.
- 16:58Speaker 4: So I wouldn't say that I'm upset about it or
- 17:02Speaker 4: anything like that. He's just doing his job.
- 17:05Speaker 2: I've seen so many allegations online. Stillman, I'm far too
- 17:09Speaker 2: online when it comes to this topic today of what
- 17:12Speaker 2: people are claiming and what people are saying about your
- 17:14Speaker 2: coverage and, you know, oh, good riddance, and this is
- 17:17Speaker 2: a message to all media that covers the Titans, that
- 17:20Speaker 2: if you're not on board with the team, then they're
- 17:22Speaker 2: going to get rid of you too because the fans
- 17:24Speaker 2: have spoken, and they wanted Stillman out of that building
- 17:27Speaker 2: because they were disrupting their Titans.
- 17:29Speaker 3: One allegation I want.
- 17:30Speaker 2: To ask you about specifically was that you would show
- 17:34Speaker 2: up to a press conference, and you'd have a pre-planned
- 17:37Speaker 2: question that you knew was going to be your topic
- 17:40Speaker 2: for your show that day. That you were a provocateur
- 17:43Speaker 2: that went there to stir things up with one question,
- 17:46Speaker 2: and that if you were going in randomly to ask
- 17:49Speaker 2: one question that was going to be the topic on
- 17:51Speaker 2: your show, that that bothered Titans fans. Doesn't really bother me,
- 17:56Speaker 2: but how do you respond to this allegation?
- 17:58Speaker 4: Does anybody do anything without thinking about doing it before
- 18:01Speaker 4: they go do it?
- 18:03Speaker 2: I would also say this for all the people saying
- 18:06Speaker 2: you guys do stuff for clicks, you guys do stuff
- 18:09Speaker 2: for views. Well, duh, that's the business we live in now, right?
- 18:12Speaker 2: That's what everyone in media.
- 18:14Speaker 3: Does in part.
- 18:15Speaker 2: It's not about lying. It's not about being inauthentic. But
- 18:19Speaker 2: what we do is trying to build an audience at
- 18:21Speaker 2: all times, whether that be responding to a text message
- 18:25Speaker 2: from someone. or responding to a DM, or responding to
- 18:28Speaker 2: someone who's yelling at you on social media. Everything we
- 18:31Speaker 2: do is about engagement. That's what you do also, Jared.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Your question is like in general, too. Like, do you
- 18:39Speaker 1: do anything without preparation and foresight, right? The Titans don't.
- 18:43Speaker 1: I mean, I guess, Jared, what they're saying is you.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Were doing something to provoke them to get a bad response,
- 18:50Speaker 2: a negative response, so you could go on your show
- 18:52Speaker 2: and build the show around it.
- 18:54Speaker 4: Well, I mean, I absolutely was going to press conferences
- 18:57Speaker 4: to ask questions about topics I was going to discuss.
- 19:00Speaker 3: Wow.
- 19:01Speaker 5: I mean, that is just wow.
- 19:03Speaker 3: You're not the first either. How dare you?
- 19:06Speaker 5: I mean, I.
- 19:07Speaker 3: How dare you?
- 19:08Speaker 2: I know plenty of columnists and beat writers of the
- 19:10Speaker 2: team that have asked specific questions over and over because
- 19:13Speaker 2: they want to write a column about it.
- 19:14Speaker 5: Here's what I'll say.
- 19:16Speaker 4: I have never believed in assuming what somebody is going
- 19:20Speaker 4: to say or saying something for them. So if I've
- 19:25Speaker 4: got an issue with something on the team, I may
- 19:27Speaker 4: ask about it, but it's ultimately up to you, the player, you,
- 19:32Speaker 4: the coach, you, the general manager, it's up to you
- 19:35Speaker 4: for what you want to say about it. And that's
- 19:38Speaker 4: on them. You know, that's not, I'm not making answers
- 19:42Speaker 4: for you guys, like talking about you guys, the players
- 19:45Speaker 4: or the coaches or whatever. I think that oftentimes in
- 19:50Speaker 4: press conferences, I hear questions that are asked where the
- 19:55Speaker 4: person asking the question doesn't want to anger me. the
- 20:01Speaker 4: subject that's being asked a question. So they try to
- 20:05Speaker 4: kind of couch their question and it almost gives an
- 20:08Speaker 4: easy out for the subject being asked the question. And
- 20:12Speaker 4: I just believe in very short, open-ended questions that are
- 20:15Speaker 4: very direct. And then that way it's like, okay, you
- 20:19Speaker 4: can answer it one way or the other. You can
- 20:21Speaker 4: either be accountable for why you lost the game or
- 20:23Speaker 4: you can make an excuse for why you lost the game.
- 20:26Speaker 4: But if I just ask, why do you think you
- 20:28Speaker 4: lost the game?
- 20:29Speaker 5: Now it's on you. Talking about you, the subject.
- 20:32Speaker 4: And it's no longer me trying to make an excuse
- 20:36Speaker 4: in the question for you or lead you to my opinion.
- 20:41Speaker 4: And I think that I would say that I take
- 20:43Speaker 4: umbrage with the idea that I was going to press conferences,
- 20:48Speaker 4: taking the mic and saying, OK, everybody, like and subscribe
- 20:51Speaker 4: to the Stillman and Company podcast on the 440 Sports Network.
- 20:55Speaker 4: It is presented by Hiller Plumbing, Heating, Cooling and Electrical.
- 20:58Speaker 4: And tune in tomorrow at two o'clock.
- 21:01Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 21:02Speaker 4: How do you feel about running the football today? Like
- 21:05Speaker 4: that's not.
- 21:05Speaker 3: For a plug, by the way. Expert plug there.
- 21:07Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 21:07Speaker 3: You got to plug it. I like it.
- 21:09Speaker 5: But that's not what I was doing.
- 21:12Speaker 4: Like, but again, they made their decision and I don't know,
- 21:16Speaker 4: you know, look, I don't know how permanent this is
- 21:18Speaker 4: going to be or how not permanent this is going
- 21:21Speaker 4: to be. I, I don't know.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Like one follow up here.
- 21:25Speaker 2: Like, do you care?
- 21:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:27Speaker 2: You can't go to Titans practice anymore.
- 21:29Speaker 3: How does this really affect your job of what you
- 21:31Speaker 3: do as an opinionist?
- 21:32Speaker 4: So I like going to OTAs and practices and, and
- 21:37Speaker 4: Paul Kaharski wrote this in the story. about how I'm
- 21:40Speaker 4: there a lot for OTAs, I'm there a lot for
- 21:42Speaker 4: training camp practices, I'm not there as much throughout the
- 21:45Speaker 4: course of the season.
- 21:47Speaker 5: And that's because, well.
- 21:48Speaker 4: We can watch the games on TV, so I don't
- 21:52Speaker 4: need to go there throughout the course of the season.
- 21:55Speaker 4: But I do like to go to OTAs, and I
- 21:57Speaker 4: do like to go to training camp practices that are
- 21:59Speaker 4: not open to the public, or are not live-streamed or
- 22:02Speaker 4: anything like that. I like to see things and to
- 22:06Speaker 4: have opinions, and.
- 22:09Speaker 4: I'm going to miss that if I end up not
- 22:11Speaker 4: getting that back. But to answer your question, I don't
- 22:16Speaker 4: really need to be around the Titans to get a
- 22:20Speaker 4: feel for the team.
- 22:21Speaker 2: Are you fighting for this to back? You're acting like
- 22:24Speaker 2: you're trying to get this thing back.
- 22:26Speaker 3: They should.
- 22:27Speaker 5: No.
- 22:28Speaker 2: You should want this back. This is bullshit.
- 22:31Speaker 4: Well, so I do, you know, again, I like to
- 22:33Speaker 4: go to OTAs and I like to go to practices
- 22:36Speaker 4: during training camp just to see how the team's going
- 22:38Speaker 4: to do or how they did in a joint practice
- 22:40Speaker 4: or whatever.
- 22:42Speaker 5: But I guess I'm kind of indifferent.
- 22:46Speaker 3: No, Jared, if this happened to anybody else. everybody would be,
- 22:51Speaker 3: the media would be just up in arms over this.
- 22:53Speaker 5: Well, you know who would be up in arms if
- 22:55Speaker 5: this happened to anybody else?
- 22:57Speaker 2: Me.
- 22:58Speaker 4: If this happened to anybody else, if this happened to Kaharski,
- 23:02Speaker 4: or if this happened to anybody, I would say you
- 23:06Speaker 4: guys are soft.
- 23:07Speaker 5: And that's the moral of the story here.
- 23:10Speaker 2: Let's also credit Kaharski and Joe Rexroad, guys that have
- 23:13Speaker 2: gotten into the past that said this is soft, this
- 23:16Speaker 2: is BS by the Titans, whether you agree with Jared
- 23:18Speaker 2: or not.
- 23:19Speaker 3: It's a BS move.
- 23:20Speaker 2: So I'll give some credit to people who are saying
- 23:23Speaker 2: it is BS, which I agree with.
- 23:25Speaker 1: But I don't try to give credit because that's how
- 23:27Speaker 1: it should be whenever you're covering a team who's won
- 23:30Speaker 1: six games over the past two years, what, nine regular
- 23:33Speaker 1: season wins over the last 50? Jared, was it Burke
- 23:36Speaker 1: or Kate that revoked your credential?
- 23:38Speaker 4: Well, I don't know because, again, I talked to Everett,
- 23:41Speaker 4: the PR guy, who is beneath both of them, so
- 23:45Speaker 4: I couldn't tell you who on the list it was.
- 23:48Speaker 4: That's kind of been a topic of discussion amongst people
- 23:51Speaker 4: I've had today, which is kind of, who ultimately called
- 23:54Speaker 4: for the Code Red?
- 23:55Speaker 2: Is this because you invoked the name of Jared Puffer?
- 23:59Speaker 5: I don't think so.
- 24:01Speaker 4: I was surprised that the Titans actually hadn't called me
- 24:04Speaker 4: about that earlier, which I felt fine about doing when
- 24:09Speaker 4: I did.
- 24:10Speaker 5: My gut... See, I hate this. I think Puff.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Would have just called you. I think Puff would have
- 24:17Speaker 1: called you. I know Puff pretty well. And I haven't
- 24:21Speaker 1: heard from him. But whenever I heard that, I'm like, ooh.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Now you've opened up the door to somebody who will
- 24:29Speaker 1: talk back to you.
- 24:30Speaker 5: Well, I like Puff. I mean, I like Puff.
- 24:33Speaker 4: But if you throw 98 at me, I'm throwing 98
- 24:36Speaker 4: at you.
- 24:36Speaker 3: Okay, that's fair. But you can't throw 98 at Burke Nihill.
- 24:41Speaker 5: When you ask the question of who do I think
- 24:43Speaker 5: it was.
- 24:44Speaker 4: This is the stuff I hate because people, one of
- 24:47Speaker 4: the things that the Titans said to me is they're like, well,
- 24:49Speaker 4: you just speculate on stuff and you have conspiracy theories.
- 24:53Speaker 4: And it's like when this organization has lied as often
- 24:56Speaker 4: as they have lied to the media, it's hard to
- 24:59Speaker 4: take them at their word. They lied about Mike Malarkey.
- 25:02Speaker 4: You guys were there. They lied about Mike Vrabel, Diana Rossini.
- 25:08Speaker 4: said reported on thanksgiving at 2023 that vrabel wasn't getting
- 25:11Speaker 4: fired and i said i don't believe it because they
- 25:13Speaker 4: lied about the last coach and then at the end
- 25:15Speaker 4: of the year vrabel got fired so i just again
- 25:18Speaker 4: i never nobody knows what's going on there so all
- 25:21Speaker 4: i think i can do is speculate so what i'm
- 25:24Speaker 4: about to say would be a speculation but i think
- 25:29Speaker 4: it came from the top.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Yeah of course it did and who is ownership right
- 25:32Speaker 1: now burke.
- 25:33Speaker 5: Nihil i think it might have come above him Burt Nihill.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Is the one that is speaking on behalf of ownership.
- 25:41Speaker 3: We know that.
- 25:43Speaker 5: But he's not the owner.
- 25:46Speaker 2: You think he came from the owner, through Burt, from
- 25:48Speaker 2: the owner to Burt, down to the plebe, who had
- 25:52Speaker 2: to then make the call, who probably wasn't their decision
- 25:55Speaker 2: at all, and had to talk to you for an
- 25:57Speaker 2: hour about, hey, man, sorry we're doing this. It's a
- 26:00Speaker 2: collection of things. By the way, if you want people
- 26:03Speaker 2: to believe it's a collection of things... You cannot do
- 26:06Speaker 2: this and make this move immediately after you have a
- 26:10Speaker 2: back and forth with the quarterback. Everyone rightfully is going
- 26:13Speaker 2: to assume it's because of that. And then when a
- 26:17Speaker 2: media relations person fires something at you and then you
- 26:21Speaker 2: fire back on your show, obviously everyone's going to assume
- 26:24Speaker 2: that's the reason for this.
- 26:26Speaker 3: It's the last thing that happened.
- 26:28Speaker 4: Yeah, I think that this is, and this is one
- 26:30Speaker 4: thing where I do feel bad about this. I don't
- 26:31Speaker 4: feel bad for me, but I do feel bad that
- 26:35Speaker 4: if Cam gets off to a bad start, not only
- 26:37Speaker 4: do I think this is going to follow Cam, but
- 26:41Speaker 4: I think it's going to follow Cam nationally.
- 26:42Speaker 5: Like, I think this is going.
- 26:43Speaker 2: To be something.
- 26:44Speaker 3: You cannot feel bad about this.
- 26:45Speaker 5: No, no.
- 26:47Speaker 4: No, I do.
- 26:47Speaker 5: I'm going to.
- 26:48Speaker 2: Counsel you right now, Stilvan. We've known you for years.
- 26:51Speaker 2: You absolutely cannot feel bad about this. I understand you're
- 26:55Speaker 2: a Titans fan. Hutton and I would love to see
- 26:56Speaker 2: the Titans win. be functional and competent and do well.
- 26:59Speaker 3: It would be great. We'd love to see that happen.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Bottom line is they haven't been functional or competent or
- 27:05Speaker 2: a well organization for a while.
- 27:07Speaker 3: This is not on you.
- 27:09Speaker 2: And anything that follows Cam Ward, I don't think Cam
- 27:11Speaker 2: Ward had anything to do with this decision, by the way.
- 27:13Speaker 2: I don't think he said a word about it when
- 27:15Speaker 2: he was done. I don't think he got you revoked
- 27:17Speaker 2: or anything like that.
- 27:19Speaker 3: Here's what really intrigues me.
- 27:22Speaker 1: Robert Sala was known for getting way into the weeds
- 27:25Speaker 1: with media in New York.
- 27:27Speaker 3: Way too much.
- 27:29Speaker 1: And now the media watches from a corner across three
- 27:31Speaker 1: football fields or something here.
- 27:35Speaker 3: And this is happening and this is happening and that's happening.
- 27:38Speaker 1: I don't feel sorry for you, Jared. And I understand
- 27:42Speaker 1: what you're saying when you say that. I feel sorry
- 27:44Speaker 1: for the media that continues to cover this team because
- 27:47Speaker 1: now we just have a softer media because of this.
- 27:51Speaker 3: There's more control. See what happened to Jared Stillman? It
- 27:54Speaker 3: can happen to you.
- 27:55Speaker 5: I think that that's kind of the gist.
- 27:57Speaker 4: Gentry Estes in the Tennessean absolutely murdered the Titans with
- 28:02Speaker 4: that line as well. I actually want to read this
- 28:05Speaker 4: because I don't know if you guys saw this from
- 28:09Speaker 4: Gentry in his column in the Tennessean.
- 28:12Speaker 3: I haven't seen it, so I want to hear it.
- 28:14Speaker 4: So he, and I want to make sure I get
- 28:18Speaker 4: this right because you know how it is if you
- 28:20Speaker 4: misquote something and you ruin the punchline. Quote, What's next?
- 28:24Speaker 4: Cutting off power to the scoreboards at Nissan Stadium on Sundays?
- 28:28Speaker 4: Because I tell you, those scoreboards have been saying some
- 28:30Speaker 4: hurtful negative things about the Titans.
- 28:32Speaker 3: It's a good line. That's a well-done gentry. It's good.
- 28:37Speaker 4: But I do feel like there are a lot of
- 28:39Speaker 4: people in the media that think to themselves, well, hold on,
- 28:41Speaker 4: wait a minute. If they can just come up with
- 28:42Speaker 4: some sort of finagled reason as to why Jared's got
- 28:45Speaker 4: to go, then if they get mad at me, they
- 28:47Speaker 4: can come up with some finagled reason as to why
- 28:50Speaker 4: I have to go, too.
- 28:52Speaker 2: And.
- 28:53Speaker 4: The Titans have been trending in this direction for years
- 28:56Speaker 4: and years.
- 28:57Speaker 5: I mean, when they named Ramone Foster, who is as in.
- 29:01Speaker 4: The bag for the franchise, for a guy who never
- 29:05Speaker 4: played for the team as you could possibly be, as
- 29:08Speaker 4: their radio analyst, the messaging was clear. positive, positive, positive.
- 29:15Speaker 4: You recite what we tell you to recite. All of
- 29:18Speaker 4: our coaches are good. All of our general managers are
- 29:21Speaker 4: good until the day we fire them.
- 29:23Speaker 5: And then they were all bad. We live in.
- 29:25Speaker 4: Titan land where John Robinson, who won 61% of his
- 29:28Speaker 4: games is bad, but Mike Borgonzi, who's three and 14
- 29:33Speaker 4: is good. And that's the stuff I'm too intellectually honest
- 29:39Speaker 4: for that.
- 29:40Speaker 5: And it's just sad.
- 29:42Speaker 1: They haven't won back-to-back games since John Robinson was the
- 29:44Speaker 1: general manager.
- 29:45Speaker 3: Insane stuff.
- 29:47Speaker 4: I think I saw you tweet that out today, Chad.
- 29:49Speaker 5: And I'm like, is that true?
- 29:52Speaker 1: The Jets won back-to-back games last year.
- 29:54Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 29:56Speaker 2: Hutton's been saying it, and I just repeated exactly what
- 29:58Speaker 2: Hutton said on the show.
- 29:59Speaker 3: I've been shouting this on rooftop. And I was like,
- 30:01Speaker 3: this cannot be real. Because these are facts. These are facts.
- 30:05Speaker 1: How about instead of talking about, hey, this team's going
- 30:08Speaker 1: to get better every week, and every week that's our
- 30:10Speaker 1: floor because we're going to continue to– how about worrying
- 30:13Speaker 1: about beating the Jets with Geno Smith at quarterback and
- 30:16Speaker 1: with Aaron Glenn at head coach?
- 30:17Speaker 3: How about beating the Jets?
- 30:19Speaker 4: This is the problem, too, which is when they hype
- 30:22Speaker 4: up Cam as much as they've hyped up Cam, when
- 30:25Speaker 4: they've ignored how poorly Cam has played, and then Cam
- 30:29Speaker 4: goes out there again this year. If Cam doesn't play well,
- 30:32Speaker 4: all of this is going to come back. All the
- 30:35Speaker 4: overhyping they've done, the unretiring Warren Moons jersey, everything. They're
- 30:39Speaker 4: not taking the trade with the Giants. It's all going
- 30:43Speaker 4: to come back on them, and it's all going to
- 30:45Speaker 4: come back on Cam. And that's where I'm not sure
- 30:47Speaker 4: that this is fair to Cam, because everybody's going to
- 30:50Speaker 4: assume that what happened Thursday between Cam and I is.
- 30:54Speaker 5: What led to the Titans' decision today.
- 30:58Speaker 4: And if Cam has a bad game, people are going
- 31:00Speaker 4: to say, oh, well, you can't ask him tough questions.
- 31:03Speaker 5: And I don't know that it's fair for Cam to
- 31:05Speaker 5: be in the middle.
- 31:06Speaker 4: Of all that.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think Cam complained. Yeah, I don't think
- 31:12Speaker 1: he was part of this either. I'm not saying he
- 31:13Speaker 1: answered it well. But he did answer a question after
- 31:16Speaker 1: he asked you what you thought.
- 31:18Speaker 4: I mean, I think Cam's, you know, how he handled
- 31:21Speaker 4: it at the podium could have been better. I know, Chad,
- 31:24Speaker 4: you harped on that the other day, and people got
- 31:26Speaker 4: just as mad at you as they get at me.
- 31:29Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, I'm still seeing it all the time.
- 31:31Speaker 2: I'm being canceled by Titans fans everywhere for saying I-ass.
- 31:35Speaker 4: Is it too much to ask the starting quarterback to
- 31:38Speaker 4: just be honest about how he played?
- 31:40Speaker 2: No, your question was not unreasonable at all. Let's put
- 31:44Speaker 2: that out there. People can say whatever they want, but
- 31:47Speaker 2: the facts are the facts. If you go back and listen,
- 31:49Speaker 2: you weren't confrontational. You weren't screaming at him. You asked
- 31:53Speaker 2: him how he would assess his play in the preseason.
- 31:56Speaker 2: He responded to that with a pithy little question back
- 31:59Speaker 2: to you about how you would grade it. You answered
- 32:02Speaker 2: honestly and said, not well. And then it went, I'm
- 32:05Speaker 2: just like, there was nothing wrong with that line of questioning.
- 32:07Speaker 1: And Jared, you had asked him previous weeks earlier about
- 32:12Speaker 1: the we ask comment. And he actually thinks you, he
- 32:16Speaker 1: actually said that's a good question or something, right?
- 32:18Speaker 3: Sure.
- 32:19Speaker 4: I mean, I asked about his Netflix documentary, which had
- 32:21Speaker 4: just come out. And I mean, look, I came up of,
- 32:26Speaker 4: if you're going to talk, if you're going to criticize,
- 32:30Speaker 4: be available. Be available so that if somebody wants to
- 32:33Speaker 4: call you and light you up, let them do it.
- 32:37Speaker 4: If you go to a press conference and someone wants
- 32:39Speaker 4: to take you to the side and just rip your
- 32:42Speaker 4: rear end, be available. That's what I've believed in. And
- 32:46Speaker 4: that's why I would go. And so now, I guess
- 32:50Speaker 4: I'm just some YouTuber out there and... You know, one
- 32:54Speaker 4: of the, one of the funny things is, is I
- 32:57Speaker 4: launched my pod one year ago today and anybody, you guys,
- 33:03Speaker 4: I'm sure went through this at some point, but anybody
- 33:05Speaker 4: who's kind of, you know, gone from one thing that
- 33:09Speaker 4: they had done for 10 years to go into another thing,
- 33:11Speaker 4: there is a feeling of, you know, is this going
- 33:14Speaker 4: to work? Am I going to fail? Am I going
- 33:16Speaker 4: to matter? Am I going to Well, you can say
- 33:19Speaker 4: whatever you want about me. You can't say that my
- 33:21Speaker 4: show doesn't matter or that they're not listening or the
- 33:25Speaker 4: things that people love to say to try to downplay
- 33:28Speaker 4: me or the program or YouTube or whatever because clearly
- 33:32Speaker 4: they've heard it and clearly they didn't like it and
- 33:35Speaker 4: clearly it affected them.
- 33:36Speaker 5: So at least I feel.
- 33:40Speaker 4: Confident that my show is doing what i'm trying to
- 33:44Speaker 4: do which is to entertain people and get people to watch.
- 33:47Speaker 1: I just said not to not to uh make your
- 33:49Speaker 1: head any larger jared but i i think i've told
- 33:52Speaker 1: you whenever i went in for my interview for play-by-play
- 33:55Speaker 1: i was given a tour and on that tour i
- 33:56Speaker 1: heard your voice when they were listening to your show.
- 34:00Speaker 4: And that takes me back to kind of my big
- 34:02Speaker 4: thesis with this team is they need to worry about
- 34:05Speaker 4: winning games.
- 34:06Speaker 3: Yes they do Block out the noise.
- 34:11Speaker 1: It's hard to do that if you're Titans Entertainment instead
- 34:13Speaker 1: of Titans football.
- 34:14Speaker 3: Remove the distractions. Do all the things.
- 34:16Speaker 2: Coaches love to talk about that, but they do not
- 34:18Speaker 2: practice what they preach when it comes to this.
- 34:20Speaker 3: And let me tell you this also, Jared. I think
- 34:21Speaker 3: it's a great thing for your career.
- 34:23Speaker 2: Clay Travis got banned from CNN for saying he liked
- 34:27Speaker 2: the First.
- 34:27Speaker 3: Amendment and boobs.
- 34:28Speaker 2: And has not been back since. And he became a
- 34:31Speaker 2: billionaire based off that. I mean, his career took off
- 34:35Speaker 2: from getting banned from something. So I really think you
- 34:37Speaker 2: should play this up. And if you play it well,
- 34:40Speaker 2: who knows? You could be a billionaire very soon also.
- 34:43Speaker 4: So I asked somebody today in the local press corps,
- 34:45Speaker 4: I said, here's the million-dollar question. Do you think the
- 34:48Speaker 4: start of OTAs next year that I will be invited
- 34:52Speaker 4: back to Titans practice?
- 34:56Speaker 3: No.
- 34:56Speaker 2: No.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Yes, they'll have fired someone within the building and reached
- 35:01Speaker 1: out back to you, yes.
- 35:04Speaker 5: I think yes.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Is Amy Adams Strunk still the owner?
- 35:08Speaker 3: Burke Nihill won't be the owner.
- 35:10Speaker 4: Well, at one point, Chad Withrow came on my radio
- 35:13Speaker 4: show and said the team was going to be sold,
- 35:15Speaker 4: and then the team got mad at me for Chad
- 35:17Speaker 4: saying it.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:19Speaker 3: It's going to happen.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Amy Adams Strunk isn't the one listening to your show every.
- 35:22Speaker 3: Day, Jared.
- 35:24Speaker 5: That is. Again, I don't know. I like every interaction
- 35:28Speaker 5: I've ever had with Amy. I like Amy.
- 35:30Speaker 4: And I do feel like Amy wants the same thing
- 35:32Speaker 4: I want, which is the same thing you guys want,
- 35:34Speaker 4: which is the.
- 35:34Speaker 5: Titans to win.
- 35:36Speaker 3: She's not the one obsessed with you.
- 35:38Speaker 5: But I think she's made mistakes as an owner. I
- 35:40Speaker 5: think we all can admit that.
- 35:42Speaker 3: Not this one.
- 35:43Speaker 5: I don't have a problem.
- 35:46Speaker 4: With Amy Adamstrunk, I don't know if Amy Adamstrunk has
- 35:48Speaker 4: a problem with me or not.
- 35:50Speaker 2: I think it's pretty clear some people over there have
- 35:53Speaker 2: a pretty big problem with you. I think those people
- 35:55Speaker 2: are pretty high up. Let's state the facts of the
- 35:58Speaker 2: matter here. They've got some real issues with you. And
- 36:00Speaker 2: she may be nice to your face, but if she's
- 36:02Speaker 2: hearing what you're saying from Burke Nihill or anyone else,
- 36:05Speaker 2: she definitely isn't liking it. Hey, we talked about this
- 36:08Speaker 2: earlier in the show today. In fact, Jared, I think
- 36:12Speaker 2: it's a law of diminishing returns of what accessibility is.
- 36:16Speaker 2: actually means or matters for media in today's age, especially
- 36:20Speaker 2: when teams are going to treat media the way the
- 36:22Speaker 2: Titans treat media in terms of limiting that access. I
- 36:25Speaker 2: just don't know, especially if you're asked to send out
- 36:28Speaker 2: ticket promos on behalf of the team in order to
- 36:31Speaker 2: keep your access or gain access.
- 36:33Speaker 3: I don't know what the fans get from that ultimately.
- 36:35Speaker 2: I don't know what the media member or a show
- 36:38Speaker 2: host like yourself, I don't know what you gain from
- 36:40Speaker 2: that either. So I say all this to say, I
- 36:44Speaker 2: just don't think this is a big negative.
- 36:46Speaker 4: I don't think this is a big negative either, but
- 36:49Speaker 4: it doesn't mean that this is how I wanted it
- 36:52Speaker 4: to go down. But I think I feel pretty certain
- 36:58Speaker 4: that I'm not going to change.
- 37:01Speaker 1: I still have to say this is a big negative
- 37:05Speaker 1: because the press corps just lost a guy who will
- 37:07Speaker 1: show up and ask a question. How do you think
- 37:09Speaker 1: your preseason's gone so far?
- 37:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:13Speaker 1: They don't have that anymore. They're being told they'll be
- 37:15Speaker 1: revoked if they ask the question. That's why it's a negative.
- 37:18Speaker 1: It's a huge negative, actually.
- 37:19Speaker 4: So I listened to the general manager's press conference yesterday,
- 37:23Speaker 4: and I was listening to it pretty intently because I
- 37:26Speaker 4: knew what was coming on my show and the rest
- 37:29Speaker 4: of the day. So I was listening to the general
- 37:32Speaker 4: manager's press conference. I did wonder if someone was going
- 37:34Speaker 4: to ask the GM about this. But as I was
- 37:37Speaker 4: listening to the press conference, I didn't hear a single
- 37:39Speaker 4: question asked about, Mike– What did you think of your
- 37:43Speaker 4: starters getting absolutely smoked by San Francisco and Seattle's backups?
- 37:48Speaker 4: And by the way, that happened. Like I know the
- 37:51Speaker 4: Titans say it doesn't matter that it happened. I know
- 37:54Speaker 4: Cam says that he doesn't evaluate it like that. I
- 37:57Speaker 4: know Robert Sala said it's a good thing that Kevin
- 38:00Speaker 4: Winston gave up that touchdown to Seattle. I know that
- 38:04Speaker 4: they said it was a good thing that Seattle ran
- 38:06Speaker 4: 66 yards up the middle for a touchdown.
- 38:08Speaker 5: Those things happened. Like it happened. We all saw it.
- 38:13Speaker 5: It was on TV.
- 38:15Speaker 4: Now, I don't know if the Titans are going to
- 38:16Speaker 4: try to block me from watching TV here in the
- 38:19Speaker 4: future or not.
- 38:20Speaker 5: But it happened. We all saw it.
- 38:23Speaker 4: And it's as if nobody's going to ask the general
- 38:25Speaker 4: manager who's talking about how this was a great training
- 38:28Speaker 4: camp and this team is ready to compete.
- 38:30Speaker 5: Compete. Couldn't even compete with the backups. Compete. So, and
- 38:36Speaker 5: I don't want to, you know, I like the press corps.
- 38:39Speaker 5: They got nothing. You like them too?
- 38:40Speaker 3: It's not about individuals.
- 38:42Speaker 1: It's about what they're allowing to be asked and what
- 38:44Speaker 1: they're allowing to be answered.
- 38:48Speaker 5: I just wonder... Is this going to be a story
- 38:51Speaker 5: when the Titans start off 0-2?
- 38:55Speaker 2: I mean, yes, because some fans will make it a story. But,
- 39:00Speaker 2: I mean, it just– it's another example of an organization
- 39:04Speaker 2: who has completely lost their way in that football is
- 39:07Speaker 2: not the first thing. It's such a self-inflicted, unforced error
- 39:13Speaker 2: by the organization to do this and bring negative publicity
- 39:15Speaker 2: on them. I think it's a huge mistake, but– You
- 39:18Speaker 2: better watch out for that.
- 39:19Speaker 3: YouTube TV account too, Jared. They may come for that next.
- 39:22Speaker 3: You may not be able to watch the games.
- 39:23Speaker 1: Jared, the answer is no, it's not going to be
- 39:25Speaker 1: a story because the Titans will be irrelevant. like i
- 39:28Speaker 1: mean they would have lost to the jets and the
- 39:31Speaker 1: eagles they would be irrelevant it's.
- 39:34Speaker 4: Bad enough that they've been irrelevant nationally for five years
- 39:38Speaker 4: well like it's starting to erode locally.
- 39:40Speaker 1: Too absolutely absolutely and uh look man i mean i'm
- 39:48Speaker 1: Ariel Hawani got his UFC credentials revoked. You remember how
- 39:52Speaker 1: massive of a story that was nationally?
- 39:54Speaker 3: Sure.
- 39:55Speaker 1: Because UFC is not irrelevant. And this is a national
- 40:00Speaker 1: story today. You asked if they start 0-2. 0-2 is, what,
- 40:04Speaker 1: a month from now? True.
- 40:06Speaker 5: No, it is.
- 40:07Speaker 4: And I do feel like again, the unfortunate part of
- 40:10Speaker 4: this is it does bring this back to Cam, which
- 40:14Speaker 4: you guys think Cam had nothing to do with this,
- 40:16Speaker 4: which is a totally fair thing to think. And I
- 40:17Speaker 4: don't think Cam did or didn't, I don't know, but
- 40:21Speaker 4: I don't, I feel bad if Cam gets thrown back
- 40:26Speaker 4: into this when Cam, I don't think has the authority
- 40:30Speaker 4: to do anything like this.
- 40:32Speaker 3: Hashtag what Jets? I ask.
- 40:35Speaker 2: That's the phrase of the year. I just want to
- 40:37Speaker 2: hear it. I don't want to hear about your offensive line.
- 40:40Speaker 2: I don't want to hear about the defense, your receivers.
- 40:41Speaker 2: I don't want to hear about we. And yes, Titans fans,
- 40:44Speaker 2: I understand that I is included in the we, and
- 40:47Speaker 2: he was including all of it. I want to hear
- 40:49Speaker 2: about your performance when asked specifically about your performance. What
- 40:52Speaker 2: did you do wrong? Don't carry the ball like a
- 40:55Speaker 2: loaf of bread.
- 40:56Speaker 3: Show this speed of all the weight that you lost
- 40:58Speaker 3: in the offseason when you take off and scramble.
- 41:01Speaker 2: See the route develop when there's somebody wide open don't
- 41:04Speaker 2: elude non-existent pressure on the first play of the entire
- 41:08Speaker 2: preseason against the 49ers these are things I want to
- 41:11Speaker 2: see if you're not doing it then it's.
- 41:13Speaker 3: Okay for you to say hashtag IS.
- 41:16Speaker 4: You know I will say this the one story that
- 41:19Speaker 4: has stuck with me this year you know you guys
- 41:21Speaker 4: know how I get I went on that right tackle
- 41:22Speaker 4: story for years and years and years But the story
- 41:25Speaker 4: I have this year, it came from one of my
- 41:27Speaker 4: best friends who played a cup of coffee in the
- 41:29Speaker 4: big leagues with the Angels and the Marlins. And we
- 41:32Speaker 4: were on vacation a couple years ago, and he said,
- 41:34Speaker 4: you know what we used to always say in the
- 41:36Speaker 4: minor leagues? If you don't like it, play better. If
- 41:39Speaker 4: you're an A-ball and you hate the food that you're
- 41:42Speaker 4: being fed because it's all PB & J, well then
- 41:44Speaker 4: play better. And they'll send you to AA and you'll
- 41:46Speaker 4: eat better food. If you're in AAA and you see
- 41:49Speaker 4: a guy that you think you're better than get called
- 41:51Speaker 4: up to the big leagues and you're jealous about it,
- 41:53Speaker 4: if you don't.
- 41:54Speaker 5: Like it, play better. And if you're in the big
- 41:56Speaker 5: leagues and you're making.
- 41:57Speaker 4: $ 700, 000 and somebody else is making $ 8 million... and you
- 42:01Speaker 4: don't like it, play better. And this would be my
- 42:04Speaker 4: message to the Titans. If you don't like what I
- 42:07Speaker 4: say about your team, play better. It's not as if
- 42:12Speaker 4: I am criticizing a 17-0 football team. I am criticizing
- 42:17Speaker 4: a team that hasn't won back-to-back games since the Biden administration.
- 42:22Speaker 5: I mean, it is what it is at this point.
- 42:25Speaker 5: Stop losing. If you don't like it, play better.
- 42:28Speaker 4: If you don't like the criticism of the quarterback, have
- 42:32Speaker 4: him play better.
- 42:33Speaker 5: If the scheming is the problem, coach better.
- 42:37Speaker 4: But I don't think it's big bad Jared Stillman's fault
- 42:41Speaker 4: that this team has won six games over the last
- 42:43Speaker 4: two years.
- 42:44Speaker 1: Check out Stillman & Company on the 440 Sports Network,
- 42:48Speaker 1: and he is presented by Hiller Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, and Electrical.
- 42:53Speaker 3: Stillman, good to see you, brother. Great job.
- 42:55Speaker 4: Congratulations, guys, on the new show. I love how everything looks,
- 42:58Speaker 4: and keep it going.
- 42:59Speaker 2: Yeah, congrats on all the success of your show also. And, hey,
- 43:03Speaker 2: if the Titans rip out your YouTube TV account, you
- 43:06Speaker 2: can borrow mine, and you can still.
- 43:07Speaker 3: Watch the Titans games on TV. Yeah, we'll give you
- 43:08Speaker 3: your username and password. That's right, yeah. I'll share the
- 43:11Speaker 3: password with you.
- 43:12Speaker 5: Sounds good. Thank you, guys.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Thanks, buddy.
- 43:13Speaker 3: We're out of here.
- 43:14Speaker 1: Next round live next right here at Sporting State.
