- 0:01Speaker 1: Alright, coming to you live from Altamonte Springs, Florida. This
- 0:04Speaker 1: is the Ember Show. Your host, Ember. First and foremost,
- 0:08Speaker 1: let's get into prayer. Lord, Father that art in heaven,
- 0:11Speaker 1: I come to you in prayer to be able to
- 0:12Speaker 1: have the Holy Spirit be able to speak through these
- 0:15Speaker 1: mics and be able to go through the listeners' ears
- 0:17Speaker 1: and be able to reach their hearts and minds and
- 0:19Speaker 1: be able to apply these verses to their lives. In
- 0:22Speaker 1: the Lord Jesus Christ's name I pray. Amen. And we're
- 0:26Speaker 1: going to be in 1 Peter chapter 3 if you
- 0:30Speaker 1: would like to get your Bibles out or get on
- 0:33Speaker 1: your Bible app and read along as you hear along.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Highlight some verses that might stand out to you. That's
- 0:41Speaker 1: the true meaning of this episode and a lot of
- 0:44Speaker 1: the episodes will consist of also preaching, teaching, a little
- 0:51Speaker 1: bit of testimonial experience, strength, and hope as well. And
- 0:58Speaker 1: I just want to also just Give glory to God
- 1:01Speaker 1: right now. So we're in 1 Peter chapter 3. And
- 1:06Speaker 1: it is titled. Peter's advice to wives and husbands. Verse 1.
- 1:13Speaker 1: I need to speak to you wives. You should have
- 1:19Speaker 1: respect the authority of your own husband. Even if your
- 1:23Speaker 1: husband does not believe God's message about Jesus Christ. You
- 1:27Speaker 1: should still respect him. If you do that. He will
- 1:31Speaker 1: then turn to God and believe his message. You will
- 1:35Speaker 1: not need to tell him what is true. He will
- 1:38Speaker 1: see the good way that you live. He will see
- 1:44Speaker 1: that you obey God and that you do things that
- 1:47Speaker 1: are completely good. See, when I met my significant other,
- 1:52Speaker 1: I was already following Christ, but it was the, it's
- 1:56Speaker 1: It was the very beginning of following Christ, full-heartedly surrendered.
- 2:02Speaker 1: And being a believer for 20 years and not truly
- 2:07Speaker 1: following Christ consistently, I paid the price. And hitting my
- 2:12Speaker 1: rock bottom, I have a testimony though and a message, amen.
- 2:16Speaker 1: And I say that because these verses here are going
- 2:19Speaker 1: to stand out to you as much as they do
- 2:22Speaker 1: to me because I'm a listener as well. So, 1
- 2:25Speaker 1: Peter 3, verse 3 states, Think about what makes you beautiful.
- 2:32Speaker 1: The way that you prepare your hair does not really
- 2:35Speaker 1: make you beautiful. Gold things or beautiful clothes do not
- 2:41Speaker 1: make you beautiful. Do not only think about your body,
- 2:45Speaker 1: but think about what you are really like inside yourself.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Be patient and do not become angry easily. then you
- 2:53Speaker 1: will always continue to be beautiful. If you are beautiful
- 2:57Speaker 1: in your spirit, God likes that very much. So it's
- 3:04Speaker 1: something to have self-care on the outwear. But what about
- 3:10Speaker 1: the inwear? Where do we go, right? Because this is
- 3:13Speaker 1: what we're trying to do. We're trying to break down
- 3:14Speaker 1: these verses to apply them to our lives. Not only
- 3:18Speaker 1: in this particular verse, Section is for females. Because males
- 3:24Speaker 1: do it too. With the shoes. And the haircuts. The beard.
- 3:32Speaker 1: The way they have expensive clothes. Watches. Jewelry. We all
- 3:36Speaker 1: spend a lot of energy. Money. Time. On things that
- 3:40Speaker 1: are on the outer. When we should be spending more
- 3:42Speaker 1: time on the inner. And loving ourselves from within. And.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Verse 5 states, That was how holy women made themselves beautiful.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Many years ago, they trusted God that He would help them.
- 4:01Speaker 1: They respected the authority of their husbands. Sarah was a
- 4:05Speaker 1: woman like that. She obeyed her husband, Abraham. She called him,
- 4:09Speaker 1: My Master. So you wives also should do what is right.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Do not let anything make you afraid. Then you will
- 4:17Speaker 1: be like true daughters of Sarah. Now, this also can
- 4:21Speaker 1: go towards men as well by treating their wives like
- 4:26Speaker 1: a queen, the master, right? It is such... Like, we
- 4:35Speaker 1: all have been programmed to thinking like the masters, we
- 4:37Speaker 1: have to obey everything. And it's more of the borderlines
- 4:44Speaker 1: of respect than to obey everything because not everything that
- 4:49Speaker 1: a husband... Especially if it's an abusive husband. An abusive
- 4:53Speaker 1: husband towards verbally or physically or spiritually or mentally. And
- 4:58Speaker 1: I've witnessed that with my own father. My earthly father.
- 5:02Speaker 1: My heavenly father is doing some things right now and
- 5:05Speaker 1: I'm so grateful. So, verse 7 states, Your husbands must
- 5:10Speaker 1: also respect, like I stated, your wives. Be kind to
- 5:14Speaker 1: your wife and help her. Remember that she is not
- 5:18Speaker 1: as strong as you are. Because God is very kind,
- 5:22Speaker 1: she has received his gift of true life, as you have.
- 5:27Speaker 1: So you should respect her. Then God will answer you
- 5:30Speaker 1: when you pray to him. This is very deep. Because
- 5:36Speaker 1: there's something about a praying mother or a praying grandmother
- 5:41Speaker 1: that is just separated and categorized differently. And there's plenty
- 5:47Speaker 1: of people that can definitely... Testimony to that. But what
- 5:52Speaker 1: I really want to talk about is. How we respect.
- 5:56Speaker 1: And honor our women. And be able to. Show. Show God. That.
- 6:06Speaker 1: We are. The best. Versions of ourselves for our companions.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Or our friendships. Or our colleagues. Now being as if.
- 6:18Speaker 1: We're going to dive deeper though. Christians may suffer even
- 6:22Speaker 1: when they do what is right. Whether you do what's
- 6:26Speaker 1: right or do what's wrong, there's going to be suffering.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Let me get deeper into it. Now I want to
- 6:30Speaker 1: say this to you before I finish my letter. All
- 6:34Speaker 1: of you should agree with each other in what you think.
- 6:38Speaker 1: You should try to understand how other people are feeling.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Love each other as brothers and sisters. Be kind to
- 6:45Speaker 1: each other. Do not think that you are more important
- 6:49Speaker 1: than other people. If people do bad things to you,
- 6:55Speaker 1: do not do anything bad to them in return. If
- 6:58Speaker 1: people insult you, do not insult them in return. Instead,
- 7:02Speaker 1: pray that God will bless those people. That is what
- 7:05Speaker 1: God wants you to do. Then you will receive the great,
- 7:09Speaker 1: the gift of God's blessing. The Bible says this. Do
- 7:13Speaker 1: you want to enjoy your life? Do you want to
- 7:16Speaker 1: be happy? Then you must be careful not to say
- 7:19Speaker 1: evil things. Do not tell any lies. And before we
- 7:22Speaker 1: get into verse 11, the power of the tongue and
- 7:31Speaker 1: the ability to be able to break down or bring
- 7:37Speaker 1: somebody up is the root of how we can be
- 7:44Speaker 1: able to Have better friendships and better companionships. And I
- 7:51Speaker 1: want to make it clear that it's stop doing evil things. Instead,
- 7:59Speaker 1: do things that are good. Try to be friends with people.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Help people to live in peace with each other. Remember
- 8:09Speaker 1: that the Lord God sees what everyone does. He takes
- 8:12Speaker 1: care of people who do what is right. When they pray,
- 8:16Speaker 1: he listens to them. But the Lord God turns against
- 8:19Speaker 1: people who do evil things. So you can't continue to
- 8:22Speaker 1: keep doing the same things that are not glorifying God.
- 8:25Speaker 1: And there's so many different things that we do on
- 8:28Speaker 1: a daily basis that a simple praise can glorify God
- 8:32Speaker 1: and we don't do it. We just think that we
- 8:34Speaker 1: just are entitled to things. And that's not everybody. I
- 8:41Speaker 1: just know that we're all guilty of one or two things.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Different occasions, right? Or plenty of occasions where we have
- 8:48Speaker 1: fallen short of God's standards and we have done something
- 8:51Speaker 1: that is of this world's sinful evil and enjoyed it.
- 8:56Speaker 1: I'm not here to condemn you. That's not my job.
- 8:59Speaker 1: We're going to get into... First, let me see something
- 9:05Speaker 1: real quick. Now... So when we're talking about worrying next,
- 9:32Speaker 1: it's if you always try to do good things, then
- 9:34Speaker 1: nobody should hurt you. But you may suffer even when
- 9:39Speaker 1: you do what is right. If that happens, God will
- 9:43Speaker 1: bless you. So do not be afraid of what people
- 9:46Speaker 1: may do to you. Do not worry about it. Instead,
- 9:51Speaker 1: always remember that Christ is your Lord. Let him rule
- 9:55Speaker 1: how you live. And verse 15 continues to state... and
- 9:59Speaker 1: we'll close out here. People may ask you, why do
- 10:04Speaker 1: you trust God to help you? You must always be
- 10:07Speaker 1: ready to answer them about that. But when you tell them,
- 10:12Speaker 1: be kind and polite. Do only what you know is right.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Then those people will see that you live in a
- 10:20Speaker 1: good way because you believe in Christ. It's not recommended
- 10:26Speaker 1: to share your faith in such an ignorant way. There
- 10:31Speaker 1: is no constructive criticism criticizing another person that has fallen short.
- 10:36Speaker 1: And we all fall short of God's standards. Just because
- 10:39Speaker 1: you have that relationship with Jesus Christ and you have
- 10:42Speaker 1: put in the work doesn't necessarily make you any better
- 10:45Speaker 1: than the person that is sick and suffering still and
- 10:48Speaker 1: sin and does not have that relationship because we are
- 10:52Speaker 1: all just one mistake away from completely being disconnected from
- 11:00Speaker 1: God himself through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit and
- 11:04Speaker 1: I say those holy I say the Holy Trinity because
- 11:08Speaker 1: it is a necessity to know the truth about the
- 11:13Speaker 1: Gospels of Jesus Christ It didn't all come together in
- 11:16Speaker 1: the Old Testament, but it did in the New, and
- 11:18Speaker 1: we have a new covenant. Amen. And I want to
- 11:23Speaker 1: see where we're at in time. It looks like 12 minutes. Okay. So, 333,
- 11:29Speaker 1: angel number. So, when we're overlooking, you know, Peter's advice
- 11:34Speaker 1: to wives and husbands, we all know about to respect
- 11:39Speaker 1: the authority of the husband and wives. We know that,
- 11:41Speaker 1: but we also got to respect our women, gentlemen. And
- 11:44Speaker 1: when we get into it deeper, we know that Christians
- 11:47Speaker 1: may suffer even when they do what is right. We
- 11:50Speaker 1: know that when we do things the right way, that
- 11:53Speaker 1: God's going to bless us in return no matter what
- 11:58Speaker 1: outcome we may receive from others or the outside noise.
- 12:04Speaker 1: And when we get into it deeper with the, you know,
- 12:10Speaker 1: Christians may suffer, I mean... We're all suffering some way,
- 12:14Speaker 1: some form. I'd rather suffer for a better purpose than
- 12:19Speaker 1: to suffer for a world where all this is going
- 12:24Speaker 1: to eventually be gone, including us. So I fixate myself,
- 12:29Speaker 1: and I highly encourage you to fixate yourself on the
- 12:32Speaker 1: unseen that is after this. Because the more and more
- 12:37Speaker 1: that I continue to strive to follow christ the more
- 12:43Speaker 1: and more my old skin is shedding off i'm no
- 12:47Speaker 1: one that is perfect by any means but i serve
- 12:51Speaker 1: a perfect king and that separates me from the world
- 12:57Speaker 1: so i know that i will be looked upon even
- 13:00Speaker 1: by my loved ones and and other people that are
- 13:02Speaker 1: close to me that they're not going to understand the
- 13:06Speaker 1: anointing and why and the work put in and that's
- 13:09Speaker 1: okay that's that's the beauty of Having faith that it
- 13:13Speaker 1: is seen doesn't mean that it is obscene and it's
- 13:18Speaker 1: not respected. And I don't need anybody's approval or respect.
- 13:23Speaker 1: I got one minute less than two minutes. And I
- 13:27Speaker 1: just want to thank you, the listener, for pressing play.
- 13:29Speaker 1: This was 1 Peter 3. We got to about maybe
- 13:36Speaker 1: verse 17. And check out the other episodes as well.
- 13:42Speaker 1: I got more in store as well. So we will
- 13:46Speaker 1: just continue to keep going off of this momentum and
- 13:50Speaker 1: understand that Jesus loves you and he wants to have
- 13:54Speaker 1: that relationship with you and allow his spirit to live
- 13:59Speaker 1: within you. And the consciousness is something else separate that
- 14:04Speaker 1: we need to talk to people about that are beginning
- 14:09Speaker 1: to their journey and having that consciousness you have to
- 14:12Speaker 1: put it on each and every day to be like
- 14:14Speaker 1: Christ and how do you do that is starting your
- 14:16Speaker 1: day off in prayer and being obviously God is very
- 14:22Speaker 1: aware of our life and he wants us to balance
- 14:25Speaker 1: things out so it's balancing out time with God time
- 14:29Speaker 1: with yourself time with others and once you can be
- 14:32Speaker 1: able to master that balance it opens up other doors
- 14:36Speaker 1: so it's almost like a cheat code so With that
- 14:40Speaker 1: being said, let's continue with 1 Peter chapter 4 next.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Thank you for pressing play.
