- 0:03So 2. Years ago I covered a case that
- 0:06truly sent a chill down my spine and this was The Haunting of
- 0:11Morgan Conidson, based out of Canada.
- 0:15The story itself is harrowing and I've been wanting to revisit
- 0:19this case for quite some time to fix some of the mistakes of my
- 0:22original video. Information wise and well,
- 0:26footage wise and all of the rest.
- 0:29I'm doing my best to do this moving forward to properly tell
- 0:33these stories as best as I can. O First things first, I have
- 0:37fixed showing Calgary instead of Edmonton with me not being
- 0:41Canadian obviously. I had no idea for one that there
- 0:44was any kind of rivalry between them whatsoever.
- 0:48And on top of that I think it was initially misnamed stock
- 0:52footage from the company that I was using then for my B roll, so
- 0:56my bad on that. But that has been corrected.
- 0:59God only knows how many comments I received just from that one
- 1:03particular mistake. I do pronounce Morgan's last
- 1:06name properly. I know a lot of people tend to
- 1:08not think so, but I've watched several interviews with her and
- 1:12a couple different shows containing her work and that's
- 1:16how I've heard her pronounced. So that's how I've pronounced
- 1:19it. I did also re record and replace
- 1:22my previous friend's narration within the story.
- 1:25I'll be it. At that time I was, I was really
- 1:28just trying to be a supportive friend, give her some exposure.
- 1:32But our narration styles are just very, very different and a
- 1:37lot of you found that with her parts being included that it was
- 1:40jarring and it was taking you out of the version of the story.
- 1:44So I went ahead and re recorded those and those have been fixed.
- 1:48Lastly, I've added a couple new details that I found through
- 1:51additional research and I've cleaned up the original audio
- 1:55quite a bit, added some new audio and yeah, I hope you guys
- 2:00enjoy. So let's begin.
- 2:02When we move out on our own, oftentimes there's a newfound
- 2:06sense of freedom, feelings of uncertainty and happiness.
- 2:12Happiness that we've reached the next steps in our long journey,
- 2:15which is truly just beginning. But what would you do if your
- 2:19first residence was haunted? But all that excitement and
- 2:22anticipation give way to fear, anxiety and terror.
- 2:27This is the story of a woman whose experiences would come to
- 2:31shape the rest of her life just as it was starting.
- 2:34And you'll come to see that when an entity reveals itself, it is
- 2:38almost always a facade of its true form.
- 2:42This is the untold story of a haunting in Edmonton, Canada,
- 2:46better known as the Mortgage Konitzen Case.
- 2:49And this is another story you won't want to listen to in the
- 2:53dark. Edmonton Canada, once a trading
- 3:07post, now turned modern day metropolis known as the Gateway
- 3:12to the north. But among the traffic,
- 3:15skyscrapers and bustling civilians, there lies other
- 3:19gateways within the city. Gateways to dark and unholy
- 3:24realms. Our story begins in February of
- 3:282003 in Edmonton. 20 year old Morgan Knudsen has finally found
- 3:34a home of her own. Six months earlier, her parents
- 3:38had divorced and had both left the province, leaving Morgan on
- 3:42her own. She's never really felt like
- 3:44she's belonged. Surfing couches and temporary
- 3:48arrangements falling through were beginning to take their
- 3:51toll. After applying in multiple
- 3:54places during this time, she's finally landed a job at a
- 3:58computer tech support center located within the city.
- 4:02After a short time there, she met someone who would become one
- 4:06of her best friends, a man named Bob Levesque.
- 4:10His outgoing and friendly personality just clicked with
- 4:13Morgan, and from the moment they met on the floor of their job,
- 4:17the two almost instantly became friends.
- 4:21As they began to get to know each other.
- 4:23They would confide in one another, and it just so happened
- 4:26that their circumstances meant that they could help each other
- 4:29out. Morgan was sick of surfing
- 4:32couches and relying on her friends, feeling like she was a
- 4:36burden, and Bob, unfortunately, was going through a divorce and
- 4:40a custody battle during this time and needed a new place to
- 4:44live alone. Neither of them could afford to
- 4:47live on their own, but together they can make the best of their
- 4:51circumstances. So they agreed to lift each
- 4:54other up and before too long would find an apartment that
- 4:58seemed to be the perfect fit. However, as will come to see as
- 5:03their story is written, it's far from it.
- 5:06The two roommates were very similar in the fact that they
- 5:10wore their hearts on their sleeves, so as they unpacked and
- 5:13got settled into their new apartment, anything and
- 5:16everything that was special found a place, whether it was on
- 5:20a shelf, on a counter, or on a wall.
- 5:25As they unpacked, Morgan couldn't help but notice the
- 5:28amount of strange looking candles in one particular area
- 5:31of the living room. As she asked Bob about them, he
- 5:35would tell her that he was a Wiccan and that each candle held
- 5:39its own significance, such as one represented protection and
- 5:43another love. Being agnostic, Morgan didn't
- 5:47care what Bob decided to pray to, but more so just found this
- 5:51type of religious practice fascinating.
- 5:54She enjoyed the physical representation of the emotions
- 5:57that she herself hadn't felt in months, that feeling of
- 6:01belonging, being protected from the outside storm, and the love
- 6:05of family. After explaining this to Morgan,
- 6:09Bob would then officially hand her a key to the apartment and
- 6:12proclaim the space as their home, a moment of significance
- 6:16for each of them. Together, they would feel
- 6:18excited and eager to see what the future held.
- 6:22Several days later, as Bob and Morgan returned from a trip to
- 6:25the grocery store and make the trek up to the 4th floor of the
- 6:29complex, which is where their apartment was located.
- 6:32As they approached the door and start to unlock it, it's as if
- 6:36someone is on the other side holding the locking mechanism.
- 6:41The two then begin to hear movement coming from inside the
- 6:44apartment, the sounds of shuffling and footsteps.
- 6:48Morgan rushes down the stairs and outside to check if she can
- 6:51see anyone inside their apartment from the outside.
- 6:54As she rushes out the door of the complex and out to the curb
- 6:58to look, she sees nothing. She quickly makes her way back
- 7:02into the complex and then back up the four flights of stairs to
- 7:05where her and Bob's apartment is located.
- 7:08Only when she gets there, there's no Bob to be seen.
- 7:11The front door is wide open. As she approaches it, she's soon
- 7:16startled by a man, thankfully, it's Bob.
- 7:20He explains that he was able to get the door open somehow, and
- 7:24that he had heard shuffling noise coming from the apartment
- 7:26next door as well. But after Morgan explains that
- 7:29the next door apartment is vacant, Bob quickly dismisses
- 7:33their experience, saying that old buildings tend to creak and
- 7:37moan as they settle. And we probably heard nothing.
- 7:41Although perplexed, Morgan simply accepts this explanation,
- 7:45grabs the groceries from the floor and heads inside.
- 7:49Later that night, as the winter moon hangs in the sky, Morgan is
- 7:53suddenly woken up by the sound of banging coming from the wall
- 7:57next to her head. Thinking Bob was awake and
- 8:00stumbling around, she gets up and makes her way towards the
- 8:04living room. As she goes to ask him if
- 8:06everything is all right given the hour, she walks past his
- 8:10room where she finds him asleep. Standing still to listen for the
- 8:15noises that had woken her up, she hears nothing.
- 8:19Once again unsure of what to make of the situation, she is
- 8:23unnerved, but eventually makes her way back to her room and
- 8:27back to bed. Roughly a week after this night,
- 8:31the two friends host a moving in party with several of their
- 8:34colleagues from work, hoping to cut loose with a few glasses of
- 8:38wine, some home cooked dinner and some company, they spend the
- 8:42night joking and laughing. As the night progresses, a
- 8:47mutual friend of theirs by the name of Kate asks if anyone had
- 8:52any dirt to dish, to which Morgan replied with I haven't
- 8:56been seeing anyone, but at night I keep hearing footsteps coming
- 9:02from my roommate's bedroom, so I'm just curious who the lucky
- 9:06lady is. Bob, although laughing with the
- 9:10group, denies seeing anyone, especially given his
- 9:14circumstances. He wasn't trying to see anyone
- 9:17romantically, he was more concerned about seeing his two
- 9:21sons that we hadn't seen in over a year and a half at this point.
- 9:25And his heart's emotions were still too raw following the
- 9:29fallout that he had had with his wife, resulting in the divorce
- 9:33proceedings. The group soon moves on with the
- 9:36night and eventually all would leave except for the hosts,
- 9:40Morgan and Bob. As the two clean up after the
- 9:44celebration, Bob asks Morgan, were you serious about hearing
- 9:49footsteps at night? To which she replied, yeah, I
- 9:53keep hearing them, but it could just be my mind playing tricks
- 9:57on me. After a moment of silence, Bob
- 10:00replies with No, it's not your mind playing tricks on you.
- 10:06I've been hearing things too. And the other night I I saw
- 10:10something that I can't explain. Concerned now, Morgan would ask
- 10:16him to elaborate. Bob would go on to say that he
- 10:19believed he saw a spirit in his room.
- 10:21The other night. He was woken up out of a sound
- 10:25sleep by the flickering of a light.
- 10:27Thinking that it was storming outside, he wiped his eyes only
- 10:31to see the figure of a small boy.
- 10:33When he opened them again, the boy was younger, resembling the
- 10:38age of an 8 or 9 year old. Upon asking the boy who he was,
- 10:44he was told that his name was Joseph.
- 10:47Ever since that night, Joseph had been visiting Bob almost
- 10:52nightly to talk with him. Bob, however, had been keeping
- 10:56this to himself until now. Upon hearing these details,
- 11:02Morgan was concerned, but didn't think at 1st that it was
- 11:06something paranormal. She believed it could be Bob's
- 11:10subconscious inventing a delusion due to the stress of
- 11:13him not being able to see his two boys during the situation he
- 11:17found himself in with a divorce and now an ongoing custody
- 11:21battle. But still, she couldn't fully
- 11:24remove the happenings in her own mind from the door being locked
- 11:29and not wanting to open to hearing the banging sounds and
- 11:33footsteps. She thought, what if the two
- 11:36were truly related somehow? As she pondered those thoughts,
- 11:41Bob had stepped out of the room briefly but would return with
- 11:45one of his candles. Wiccans often believe that
- 11:49certain objects can help and strengthen their prayers, and
- 11:53this candle in particular was supposed to help focus the
- 11:56energy of the home and bring peace and harmony to all who
- 12:00dwelled within it. So by lighting it, he believed
- 12:05that it would help Joseph move on and also help calm Morgan's
- 12:09nerves. So, focusing his intent, he does
- 12:13just that. The following morning, as the
- 12:18two wake up and begin to get ready for the day, Bob heads out
- 12:22early since he has a doctor's appointment while Morgan
- 12:25prepares to head into the office.
- 12:28As she heads towards the key holder, things in hand for the
- 12:31day, she realizes that her keys aren't there.
- 12:34As she sets her items down and begins to search, and she feels
- 12:38the hair on the back of her neck start to raise up.
- 12:42She glances up from the couch she had been rummaging through
- 12:45to see the slightest glimpse of a small boy out of the corner of
- 12:49her eye. But as she realizes his
- 12:51existence, as she fully focuses on his image, he is gone.
- 12:57However, glancing back over to the key rack, there in their
- 13:01usual spot are her keys, which were not there previously.
- 13:07Up until this point. Always having been more of a
- 13:09skeptic than a believer, Morgan has no way of explaining this
- 13:13strangeness. She knows what she saw, and she
- 13:17knows for a fact that her keys were indeed not there
- 13:19previously. But just who or what had taken
- 13:22them and put them back? And just who or what was this
- 13:27Joseph? The day would come and go, and
- 13:31Bob wouldn't show up for work. As Morgan showed back up to the
- 13:35apartment in the evening, she would find him near his shrine
- 13:38of sorts, struggling to light one of his candles.
- 13:42It was, in fact, the same one that he had lit previously to
- 13:46bring Harmony to the home. Morgan would also notice that
- 13:50almost all of his candles were lit, but this one in particular,
- 13:54the Wick, simply would not ignite.
- 13:57Bob, however, seemed unfazed. He kept trying to light it over
- 14:02and over again. As he did this, he would tell
- 14:05Morgan that he was diagnosed with cancer that day, blood
- 14:09cancer, and that's why he didn't go into work.
- 14:13Devastated by this news, Morgan tries to comfort her friend but
- 14:18is unexpectedly rejected. Her easygoing and friendly
- 14:22roommate seems angry and bitter. Hurt by this development but not
- 14:27wanting to make this about her, Morgan simply swallows her
- 14:31feelings and tries to be as supportive as she can.
- 14:34But Bob simply just wants to be left alone.
- 14:37So after failing to light the last candle, he would leave the
- 14:41living room and head into his room and shut the door behind
- 14:45him, perhaps to continue to come to terms with this devastating
- 14:49news after hours apart. As Morgan prepares for bed, she
- 14:54passes by Bob's room, door still closed, and oddly, she hears
- 14:59what sounds like two people whispering inside.
- 15:03But despite this, she talks through the door to Bob, telling
- 15:07him that she's sorry, that she wants to be there for him.
- 15:11She is only met with rage. Bob screams at her through the
- 15:15door to leave him alone, and a banging noise emanates from
- 15:19behind the door, startling Morgan.
- 15:22As she backs up, she sees a black figure in the living room.
- 15:27As she apprehensively approaches it, it darts through a wall with
- 15:31incredible quickness. Its movement extinguishes the
- 15:35flames of Bob's candles. Morgan, both upset and scared,
- 15:41now has no one to talk to. Bob has isolated himself within
- 15:45his room, and there was no one else available at this moment to
- 15:50quell the sea of emotions. She very quietly makes her way
- 15:54back to her room. She attempts to sleep for the
- 15:57night. As she tosses and turns, her
- 16:00mind begins to ponder and process these new developments.
- 16:04It seems like whatever force that dwelt within the apartment
- 16:08was getting stronger, and perhaps it was.
- 16:13Over the last several months, as Morgan Knudsen has been working
- 16:17at a computer Technical Support center, she is met and become
- 16:20acquainted with many new people and has made many new friends.
- 16:25One such a person was becoming a budding love interest and his
- 16:30name was Courtney Clappen. Following the night of the
- 16:33apparition revealing itself to Morgan, and Morgan also becoming
- 16:37aware of Bob's cancer diagnosis, she finally decided to take
- 16:41Courtney up on his date proposal, something that she had
- 16:44been turning down for quite some time.
- 16:47The two would go out for dinner and drinks that evening after
- 16:50work, and as they enjoyed each other's company, Morgan began to
- 16:53confide in Courtney about some of the strange things that have
- 16:57been happening in her and Bob's apartment.
- 17:00Courtney believed Morgan thought she was experiencing something,
- 17:03but figured that there had to be a scientific explanation, that
- 17:07the paranormal was nothing more than old superstitions and
- 17:10ignorance. He proposed that he go with her
- 17:13to the apartment, that he would disprove her ghosts, that he
- 17:17could even get that unlightable candle to ignite.
- 17:20So figuring she had nothing to lose, Morgan agrees.
- 17:24After the small drive, the two find themselves inside the
- 17:27apartment where Courtney proceeds to begin lighting all
- 17:31the candles on the shrine. He is successful lighting all of
- 17:34them until he reaches the one that Morgan had mentioned would
- 17:38not light, although she didn't tell him which one it had been.
- 17:42He tries for several seconds until suddenly it does manage to
- 17:47light, but what happens next shocks them both.
- 17:51The candle suddenly begins to spark and the flame itself
- 17:55shoots out from the top of the candle several feet, something
- 17:59which should be impossible. It then goes out.
- 18:02The two sit there in disbelief when the silence is broken by
- 18:06Bob walking into the living room.
- 18:08However, he doesn't say anything, he just glares at
- 18:12them, simply walks away. In the months to come, Morgan
- 18:17and Courtney would begin dating, and although Morgan tries to be
- 18:20there for her friend, Bob seems to be losing himself.
- 18:24He no longer speaks to her, she barely sees him, and he just
- 18:28spends all of his time inside his room talking to Joseph.
- 18:33And more disturbingly, she can hear both of them.
- 18:36It is not just Bob talking to himself one night, she
- 18:41distinctly hears him say, You always know just what to say
- 18:45when I need to hear it. This sad trend would continue
- 18:49for quite some time until 1 morning when Morgan wakes up to
- 18:53get ready for work. She is greeted by Bob, who's
- 18:57already dressed and cooking breakfast.
- 19:00Shocked but excited to see an inkling of her old friend back
- 19:03to his normal self, she hugs and greets him.
- 19:06The Bob not only seems normal again, but he seems elated.
- 19:10The legal proceedings have finally allowed him to be able
- 19:13to see his boys again, so he tells her that after work, he's
- 19:17headed to Saskatchewan for the weekend for some much needed
- 19:20family time. Being both happy for her friend
- 19:23and for their relationship, hopefully returning to what it
- 19:26used to be, Morgan wishes him a safe trip.
- 19:30As Bob leaves the apartment, she makes her way to the restroom to
- 19:34take her morning shower. As she draws the water,
- 19:37undresses, and begins to bathe herself, Unbeknownst to her, the
- 19:42door to the bathroom slowly begins to creak open.
- 19:47As she massages her scalp with shampoo, she hears what sounds
- 19:51like whispering coming from behind the shower curtain.
- 19:54As her eyes dart towards the direction of the sound, she
- 19:58begins to hear dark and sinister laughing emanating behind the
- 20:03curtain. Then, as she begins to panic,
- 20:06she sees gnarled and grotesque looking hands press onto the
- 20:11curtain and rush towards her. She is reduced to a soaking pile
- 20:16of terror in the corner of the tub and then whatever the
- 20:20horrific presence was disappeared.
- 20:24Although the incident only lasts seconds, it feels like an
- 20:27eternity. Pulling back the curtain to
- 20:30confirm that whatever it was was gone, Morgan now comes to terms
- 20:34with her encounter. She didn't know what this force
- 20:37was, but she did know that it wanted her to be very, very
- 20:42scared. And she also knew deep down in
- 20:45the core of her being that this thing was not a child.
- 20:49After gathering her bearings, she felt like she had to talk to
- 20:52Bob. So rushing into the call center
- 20:55that they both worked at, she sees him and begins divulging
- 20:59her experience. Placing the customer he was
- 21:01chatting with on hold, Bob surprisingly goes on the
- 21:05defensive. He tells Morgan that there's no
- 21:08way that whatever she experienced was Joseph, that he
- 21:12was just a little boy. The lack of support from her
- 21:15friend and roommate seems to break something within Morgan.
- 21:18She becomes frantic and angry as she storms away from Bob's desk.
- 21:24Her boyfriend, Courtney, rushes to her aid, however, far from
- 21:28being a supportive pillar to lean on, he tells her that he
- 21:31overheard everything she said, that she needed to calm down,
- 21:36that she's believing in something that simply doesn't
- 21:38exist. This is the last thing Morgan
- 21:41needs to hear in this moment, so without a further word, she
- 21:45leaves the call center. She then contemplates her next
- 21:48move and decides to reach out to the only person who she thinks
- 21:52will understand where she's coming from and what she's
- 21:55dealing with, her friend Stephanie.
- 21:59Upon reaching Stephanie's house, the first words out of Morgan's
- 22:02mouth are I'm scared. And who can blame her after
- 22:07dealing with everything that she had been through thus far.
- 22:11Knowing that Morgan felt as if her home was being invaded by
- 22:14something that she couldn't fight and what having a home in
- 22:18the 1st place finally meant to her, Stephanie comforts her
- 22:22friend and then suggests something after doing some EVP.
- 22:28After doing some research, she suggests that the two attempt to
- 22:32capture Joseph on a recording to capture an EVP of the phenomena
- 22:37to prove his existence and try to come up with a plan of
- 22:41action. Neither of the two have done any
- 22:45work prior to this. An apprehensive at first but not
- 22:50seeing any other option, Morgan agrees.
- 22:54The two then drive to Morgan's apartment and with the
- 22:57assistance of one of the neighbors who was a mutual
- 23:00friend, they're able to get Stephanie up the four flights of
- 23:03stairs since she was disabled and wheel Bear Town since she
- 23:08was disabled and wheelchair bound.
- 23:12After reaching the top and heading inside the apartment
- 23:16with a digital recorder in hopes of capturing.
- 23:20After reaching the top and heading inside the apartment
- 23:24with a digital recorder in hopes of capturing something useful to
- 23:28possibly show someone, someone who could have the expertise to
- 23:33assist them further, they make their way towards Morgan's room.
- 23:39Within a few minutes of being inside, they hear something
- 23:42shatter in the living room. Walking to see what it could
- 23:46have been, they come across a statue that Morgan had first put
- 23:50up when her and Bob had moved in.
- 23:53A statue that symbolized just how much having a home really
- 23:57mentor it that laid in pieces on the floor.
- 24:03Morgan believed this to be some kind of a challenge from the
- 24:06entity, almost a provocation of sorts.
- 24:12So instead of starting in her room, he decided to begin their
- 24:16recording there in the living room.
- 24:19And as the recorder did its job, Morgan began to ask her
- 24:23questions. These questions ranged from how
- 24:28old are you, what are you, where did you come from, why are you
- 24:34here, and why are you targeting me?
- 24:38Among many, the process of trying to make contact and
- 24:42record a response is painstaking, and after hours of
- 24:46attempts after playing the recording back, they received no
- 24:51responses. At this point, it was very late
- 24:56and although nervous about sleeping in the apartment,
- 25:00Morgan had the company of her friend, so the two decided to
- 25:04turn in for the night. This decision was also made
- 25:08since the mutual friend who had helped carry Stephanie up the
- 25:11stairs earlier in the day was also long since asleep for the
- 25:15night. After settling into Morgan's
- 25:18bed, the women drift off to dreamland, and something
- 25:23spectral was watching them sleep.
- 25:28Around 3:00 AM, both Morgan and Stephanie are woken up by the
- 25:32sounds of footsteps in the living room.
- 25:35At first they thought it was Bob, but Morgan knew that Bob
- 25:38had been looking forward to seeing his sons more than
- 25:41anything, and unless something catastrophic had taken place,
- 25:45there would be no reason for him to be home, let alone at 3:00
- 25:48AM. As Morgan turned towards the
- 25:51door to go and figure out just what was happening, the door to
- 25:54her room opened by itself. The atmosphere now grew tense.
- 26:00Morgan was then suddenly thrown backwards, and the door, which
- 26:05had creaked open on its own, now slammed shut.
- 26:09Stephanie frantically called out in the darkness, asking what was
- 26:13happening. Due to her disability, she was
- 26:16unable to move and was facing away from the door.
- 26:20Morgan could barely eke out a sentence as the door opened and
- 26:24slammed and a dark, sinister laugh could be heard throughout
- 26:29the room, as well as the sound of heavy footsteps stomping
- 26:33around. Not knowing what else to do,
- 26:37Morgan asked Stephanie to call Courtney since she was the
- 26:40closest to the phone. However, upon calling, no one
- 26:44answered. The two of them were now
- 26:47isolated, and Morgan knew that if she left her friend there to
- 26:50go and get outside help, that this thing, this force could
- 26:54lock doors and was feeding upon their fear.
- 26:58It would be hard telling what it would do to Stephanie.
- 27:01So together they seemingly had no choice other than to brave
- 27:04the storm. Terrified for the rest of the
- 27:07night until Daybreak. Around 6:00 AM, the two sat in
- 27:12Morgan's room were held captive by this force, which continued
- 27:17to open and slam doors and what sounded like cabinets, as well
- 27:21as ransacking the living room. At dawn, a call breaks the
- 27:25silence of the apartment. It's Courtney.
- 27:29After a brief explanation, he heads over with his help and the
- 27:33three of them are able to leave. After dropping Stephanie back
- 27:36off at her house, the couple begins to talk.
- 27:40Courtney is still not convinced that the two of them really
- 27:43experienced anything, but Regardless, he suggests that
- 27:47Morgan leave the apartment for several days to clear her head.
- 27:51However, conveniently, even after finding out that she had
- 27:55no other options besides him and Stephanie to stay with, he
- 27:59doesn't initially offer her solace at his place.
- 28:02Morgan, despite this, in the unfolding situation of dealing
- 28:06with the paranormal force that was now plaguing her life,
- 28:09refused to give up her home, her sanctuary, to anyone, spirit or
- 28:15flesh and bone. She decides to go back.
- 28:19Upon arriving at the apartment with Courtney, the two walk in
- 28:22and are greeted by Bob in the living room.
- 28:25He seems upbeat and certainly more at peace.
- 28:28The trip to see his boys must have gone well.
- 28:31He explains that on his trip, he picked up a blessed candle that
- 28:35should help with things. Morgan, who had kept the digital
- 28:38recorder, remembered reading that changes in temperatures,
- 28:42even the striking of a match, could potentially trigger
- 28:46spiritual activity. So she decides to begin
- 28:49recording the interaction. Bob then, before the two of
- 28:52them, lights the blessed candle and then takes its flame and
- 28:56puts it to the Wick of the candle that was to help focus
- 28:59the energy of the home and bring peace and harmony.
- 29:02The very same candle that Morgan and Courtney had attempted to
- 29:05light and whose flame had surged and left them with unanswered
- 29:10questions. It lit normally.
- 29:13This interaction made Courtney question just what was taking
- 29:16place. As Morgan began to explain to
- 29:19Bob what had happened the night before, he seemed completely
- 29:22uninterested. He simply kept smiling at his
- 29:25blessed candle as he carried it throughout the apartment.
- 29:30Courtney would later say that the Bob I knew from the
- 29:33workplace had a completely different personality.
- 29:36The Bob I encountered that day at the apartment was very odd
- 29:40and honestly creepy. The whole thing was strange.
- 29:44As Bob makes his way back into the living room and closes his
- 29:47door, the couple sits down at a table.
- 29:50Morgan explains that she had recorded the interaction and
- 29:53wanted to see if she had captured anything.
- 29:56Playing back the audio. At first, they don't hear
- 29:59anything out of the ordinary, but as Bob ignited the original
- 30:03candle with the new 1A, horrific and unearthly scream came
- 30:08through the speakers. This scream not only scared
- 30:11Morgan, but it also bewildered Courtney because he was there
- 30:16and he knew that there was no way of faking that.
- 30:19The scream also served as a confirmation to Morgan that she
- 30:22most certainly was not dealing with the spirit of a little boy.
- 30:27Assessing her options, she begins to research who she could
- 30:30reach out to. Having seen a program a while
- 30:33back on TV, she remembers the name Lorraine Warren.
- 30:38It takes some time, but she is able to get in contact with
- 30:41Lorraine. Upon explaining the situation to
- 30:45her, the descriptions send alarm bells ringing for Lorraine.
- 30:49She knows immediately that this spirit is indeed not the one of
- 30:52a little boy, but rather that is put this up as a facade in order
- 30:57to gain entry into the apartment and into their lives, and that
- 31:01Morgan is not the primary target, but Bob.
- 31:05She believes that Bob's major shift in personality and
- 31:09obsession with the entity indicates that he is under
- 31:12demonic possession. She also believes that this took
- 31:15place due to the entity exploiting Bob's vulnerability
- 31:18and it took the form of a child since Bob was so desperate to
- 31:22spend time with his own children.
- 31:24She also tells Morgan that her only hope at this point is to
- 31:28spiritually fortify herself for protection and try and convince
- 31:32Bob, the real Bob, that he has to renounce Joseph and fight,
- 31:38and that if he refuses to renounce this entity that
- 31:41ultimately there would be a tragedy within the home.
- 31:45The call would last for several hours.
- 31:48Courtney, finally convinced that something spiritual was indeed
- 31:51taking place, finally offers Morgan the opportunity to come
- 31:55and stay at his home to get away from it all.
- 31:58But she didn't want to give up on Bob, so upon Courtney
- 32:02departing for the night, Morgan turns around to face the horror
- 32:06within. As she slowly walks back into
- 32:08the apartment and towards Bob's room, she realizes that his door
- 32:12is now open and Bob is within a circle of candles upon the
- 32:16floor. Seemingly within a trance, she
- 32:20tells him. I know how I can make things
- 32:23right again, but we have to get a priest.
- 32:26As the words leave her lips, they're met with an angry no
- 32:30from Bob, and for a split second, although Bob is
- 32:33seething, she sees a glimpse of her old friend.
- 32:37But just for that small sliver of time, although reluctant no
- 32:41doubt, Bob agrees to accept her help.
- 32:45The following morning, she drives him to a local Catholic
- 32:48Church in hopes of getting assistance there at the
- 32:51recommendation of Lorraine Warren.
- 32:53However, upon seeing the Church, Bob refuses to go in.
- 32:58Losing hope, but still determined, Morgan continues
- 33:02onward and meets with the priest there.
- 33:04At the priest's recommendation, she's told to display holy
- 33:08objects throughout the home in an effort to repel any evil that
- 33:12could be dwelling there and to recite the prayer of Saint
- 33:15Benedict, the patron St. of the poisoned and poisoned.
- 33:19He believed Bob to be given the story that he was told.
- 33:23The priest wanted to assist further, but without the
- 33:26permission of Bob and an in person meeting, he would not be
- 33:29able to do so. Later that evening, Morgan
- 33:33begins to place crucifixes throughout the hallways of the
- 33:36apartment home. As she toils away, hanging each
- 33:40one with care and intent, she is soon greeted by Bob.
- 33:44He stepped out of the shadows at the end of the hallway.
- 33:48She had not heard him previously leave his room.
- 33:51He begins to scream at her, demanding that she take the
- 33:54crucifixes down. The person she sees, she no
- 33:58longer recognizes as she stands her ground, Bob staring at the
- 34:04cross suddenly begins to weep, and for another brief moment,
- 34:09the Bob she once knew seems to come through once again.
- 34:13He explains through the tears that he knows that something
- 34:16isn't right, that it's not the cancer diagnosis, that there's
- 34:20something dark and angry residing within him, but that he
- 34:24doesn't know what to do As Morgan drops her guard to try
- 34:27and comfort her friend, explaining to him that maybe if
- 34:31he just told Joseph no for one night that perhaps they could
- 34:35start to fix this. When these words left her lips,
- 34:39there was another shift within Bob.
- 34:41He went back into an angry state, yelling that she needed
- 34:45to stop talking about things that she knew nothing about as
- 34:49he storms off, headed back to his room.
- 34:51Morgan and tears herself now heads into the kitchen.
- 34:55As she attempts to gather herself, all of the dishes in
- 34:59the cabinets begin to shake. Suddenly the cabinet flies open
- 35:04and a plate is thrown by an unseen force.
- 35:07It hits Morgan in the head, cutting her open.
- 35:11Screaming, she flees the apartment.
- 35:14She would find solace with Courtney that night.
- 35:17As she tosses and turns trying to sleep, she can't help but
- 35:21feel obligated to Bob, and she wants to try and follow through
- 35:25what she had discussed with the priest and Lorraine Warren in
- 35:28hopes of freeing him from whatever this entity was.
- 35:32Several nights later, she finally convinces court to help
- 35:36her by reciting the prayer of Saint Benedict within the
- 35:39apartment. As the two sit down at a table
- 35:42in the living room and begin praying, the table itself begins
- 35:46to shake. As they deepen in their efforts,
- 35:50almost everything around them is in motion.
- 35:53Objects are shaking and floating, moving of their own
- 35:57accord. They repeat the prayer multiple
- 36:00times and soon become too frightened to continue given the
- 36:04escalation and activity taking place.
- 36:07Morgan runs to Bob's door and pleads for him to leave the
- 36:10apartment, but there's no answer.
- 36:13Following the events of this night, Morgan would stay the
- 36:17next two weeks with Courtney at his home.
- 36:19During this time, the two of them would decide that it was
- 36:22for the best for her to move in with him permanently.
- 36:25She, however, would need to retrieve her belongings from the
- 36:28apartment when the day comes. Not wanting to have Bob present
- 36:33due to his rising instability and hostility alongside the
- 36:36paranormal force, Morgan waits for a phone call from Courtney,
- 36:41who was on the floor at their job.
- 36:43Once Bob arrives at work for the day, he gives her the call,
- 36:46which is the signal she's been waiting for to head to the
- 36:49apartment to move out. Upon arriving, Morgan opens the
- 36:54door to the apartment and is greeted with a bone chilling
- 36:57cold rush of air as she steps inside.
- 37:00Quickly getting to work, she begins to round up her things.
- 37:04Although there's an eerie feeling in the air, nothing is
- 37:07manifesting. Meanwhile, at the call center,
- 37:11Bob has gone missing. This sends up a red flag to
- 37:14Courtney when he happens to notice.
- 37:16When he finds out he's been gone for over an hour, he rushes to
- 37:20call Morgan. However, his call would fall
- 37:23upon deaf ears. Her phone had been left inside
- 37:26of her car. Back at the apartment, Morgan
- 37:29finishes packing the last of her home's keepsakes from the shelf
- 37:33in the living room that she had put up when they had first moved
- 37:36in. She only has one box full of
- 37:38belongings. It's not much, but it's all
- 37:41she's gone. As she takes one last look at
- 37:43the apartment, savouring the situation as a whole, she turns
- 37:47around to approach the door to make her final exit.
- 37:51The door opens. It's Bob.
- 37:54He's pale, sweating, and looks like a shadow of his former
- 37:59self. He immediately goes on the
- 38:02defensive. He gets in her face and starts
- 38:05grilling her on what she's doing, but Morgan refuses to
- 38:08cower. She calmly tells Bob that she
- 38:15still cares for him, but that she can't help him anymore.
- 38:20And if you can't help himself by renouncing Joseph?
- 38:24Bob throws back a seething reply.
- 38:27He doesn't need me, I need him. Take your trinkets with you.
- 38:34Your God didn't save him anyways.
- 38:38Bursting into tears, Morgan grabs her box to leave, but
- 38:42blocking the door is the apparition of a child.
- 38:47It's Joseph. However, he begins to morph into
- 38:52something grotesque, A mangled monstrosity, inhuman and a born.
- 39:00Morgan later described the creature as having black eyes,
- 39:04gnarled fangs, and Gray dead skin.
- 39:07When the creature dissipates, seemingly within seconds, Morgan
- 39:13leaves. The last sound she hears is the
- 39:17whispers of a little boy talking to Bob in his room.
- 39:22She leaves, knowing there's nothing more she could have
- 39:25done. After this day, Bob never shows
- 39:29up to work again. He moves out of the apartment
- 39:33but leaves no forwarding address.
- 39:35His whereabouts and fate are unknown.
- 39:39Morgan and Courtney continued to date for the next 4 years
- 39:42following the events mentioned in this video.
- 39:45However, I was unable to confirm if they are still together.
- 39:48Morgan and Stephanie would eventually combine their
- 39:51intrigue for the supernatural to found Entity Seeker, an agency
- 39:55that helps people find assistants who are in danger by
- 39:58the paranormal. They didn't want anyone to feel
- 40:01helpless like they did, ultimately using their
- 40:04experiences to bring positivity into the world.
- 40:07To this day, Morgan continues to run into Tea Seeker and has been
- 40:11involved in numerous investigations and shows, as
- 40:15well as writing several books. If you're interested in her
- 40:18works, I'll leave links in the description below.
- 40:22This entire case, to me, is very intriguing.
- 40:24It just goes to show that the paranormal can affect anyone and
- 40:27everyone, regardless of location and circumstances.
- 40:31That if such a thing as demons exist, that they'll take
- 40:34advantage of the weakest beings in the most vulnerable states.
- 40:38Such as Bob exploiting his feelings and imperfections to
- 40:42take possession of his very soul for its own ends.
- 40:46I also think that it showcases the humanity of Morgan and how
- 40:50these types of situations can affect your day-to-day life.
- 40:53But that she also shows how one can grow and make the best of
- 40:57set situations and use their experiences to help assist
- 41:01others in need. All observations aside, have you
- 41:05ever lived in a haunted home? And what if that home was your
- 41:08first? How would that affect you the
- 41:10rest of your days, and how would you have handled a situation
- 41:14like what Morgan found herself in with Bob?
- 41:17Let me know in the comments below.
- 41:19And just know that if a spirit or entity reveals itself to you,
- 41:23more often than not, the figure it presents isn't always its
- 41:27true form. That underneath that innocent
- 41:30facade could indeed be a twisted and demonic creature stalking
- 41:35and waiting to break you down and take control.
- 41:39Be aware and don't let it be you.
- 41:43Thank you guys so much for watching this video.
