- 0:15Speaker 2: just saying this to mock me.
- 0:17Speaker 1: No, I'm just I'm getting my levels right. Let me
- 0:20Speaker 1: let me make sure that the sound pad is at
- 0:22Speaker 1: the right level.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Woo tank forever, wu tang forever. It is, it says,
- 0:26Speaker 2: it's always, it's infinite.
- 0:28Speaker 1: I think you've grown to like the sound pad, haven't you.
- 0:31Speaker 2: No, fuck your sound machine.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Your sound effects machine. By the way, Donald, I've never
- 0:41Speaker 1: been a guy who did legs at the gym, and
- 0:44Speaker 1: I've always been the guy who skipped legg day. I'm
- 0:47Speaker 1: walking around with sorera quads all the time.
- 0:50Speaker 3: Now.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Don't you like it?
- 0:52Speaker 3: But I like it.
- 0:52Speaker 1: I feel proud of myself.
- 0:54Speaker 2: It feels good.
- 0:54Speaker 1: But you know that point where you like, come on
- 0:56Speaker 1: from the gym, or you went on a giant hike
- 0:58Speaker 1: and then you walking up your stairs at home and
- 1:00Speaker 1: you're like, wow, look, but you're like kind of smiling.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Yeah, because you like it.
- 1:05Speaker 4: That's how I feel. That's that good feeling. Yeah, I'm proud,
- 1:09Speaker 4: but it should be as you should be good for
- 1:12Speaker 4: you are I'm well, how are you?
- 1:15Speaker 2: Man? This gloomy today? Man?
- 1:17Speaker 1: And it is like La gets a little crazy when
- 1:20Speaker 1: the sun's not out.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Yeah, man, people get sad and ship look outside. Yeah,
- 1:27Speaker 2: it's like a it's like a Josh Rayden song outside
- 1:30Speaker 2: right now.
- 1:31Speaker 1: He's living in my guest house right now. I should
- 1:34Speaker 1: have him come over and sing winter.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Yeah. I remember the.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Sound off You're November Downtown, down down, it's great. And
- 1:49Speaker 1: you know, a lot of people live where it's gray,
- 1:51Speaker 1: and we grew up where it gets gray in the Winner,
- 1:53Speaker 1: but we did a lot of people gravitate towards sunny
- 1:57Speaker 1: places because they feel better in their mental health where
- 2:02Speaker 1: the sun is out. And I'm one of those people.
- 2:05Speaker 1: So when it does get gray, it's a little bit
- 2:07Speaker 1: like what the hell's this?
- 2:09Speaker 2: It turned into like a melancholic emotional song.
- 2:14Speaker 1: I just want to get under a weighted blanket and
- 2:17Speaker 1: light a candle.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Maybe this is some shad day, have some.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Soup, cherish the day.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Well, catch me.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Run And by the way, there's a new doc on Netflix.
- 2:27Speaker 1: I know you don't watch things that aren't Star Wars.
- 2:30Speaker 1: But it's about the making of We Are the World,
- 2:33Speaker 1: and I think you'll really like it.
- 2:35Speaker 2: You hadden me up until you said we are the World.
- 2:38Speaker 2: It's about the making of I thought you were going
- 2:40Speaker 2: to say Star Wars, but then you said we are
- 2:43Speaker 2: the World.
- 2:45Speaker 1: It has it's all interviewed like Lionel Richie is like
- 2:48Speaker 1: the main interview. I didn't know that he wrote it
- 2:50Speaker 1: with Michael Jackson. I always thought.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Michael Jackson Quincy Jones, Rincy.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Jones did the orchestrations and the production, but it was
- 2:58Speaker 1: written the song was written by and Michael. I didn't
- 3:01Speaker 1: know that.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 3:03Speaker 1: And Lionel does. There's lots of interviews, but Lionel is
- 3:06Speaker 1: the main interview, and he kind of tells you, walks
- 3:08Speaker 1: you through the whole story, how they did it overnight
- 3:11Speaker 1: after the American Music Awards, you know all this.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Yeah, of course, does he talk about does he talk
- 3:17Speaker 2: about how mad Michael Jackson was getting at somebody.
- 3:20Speaker 3: And they cut around that.
- 3:21Speaker 1: They cut around that because I know there's these really
- 3:23Speaker 1: funny gifts and memes of Michael Jackson giving people the
- 3:26Speaker 1: side when they're singing his song.
- 3:28Speaker 2: And they're fucking it up.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's really amazing, man, I really audience watched this.
- 3:34Speaker 1: It's a new doc on Netflix. Joel, will you get
- 3:36Speaker 1: the title? I forgot what it's called, but it's it's
- 3:38Speaker 1: really worth your time and it's pretty amazing story about
- 3:41Speaker 1: how they did this and in one night made the song.
- 3:45Speaker 2: My favorite part about that whole thing is when Michael
- 3:48Speaker 2: Jackson is like, I got an idea for the hook,
- 3:51Speaker 2: so we gonna go we aut of World, Sharla, we
- 3:57Speaker 2: art at you Trent Sharing, and everybody's like, nah, nigga,
- 4:01Speaker 2: that's in there, but I know it's sitting there. But
- 4:06Speaker 2: that you know.
- 4:07Speaker 1: What happened was when you watch the doc Okay, Stevie
- 4:10Speaker 1: Wonder decided there should be I believe this is. It
- 4:13Speaker 1: was Swahili in the song because it was about raising
- 4:15Speaker 1: money for food in Africa, and they started, he started,
- 4:21Speaker 1: they started try and figure out some Swahili lyrics and
- 4:24Speaker 1: a lot of the artists were like, I'm not gonna
- 4:26Speaker 1: be able to sing in Swahili. And the problem was
- 4:30Speaker 1: that it's called the Greatest night in pop thank you.
- 4:32Speaker 1: And then but the problem was everyone's like, oh no,
- 4:36Speaker 1: you see Quincy Jones freaking out and Lon Richie, who
- 4:38Speaker 1: was kind of like loner. Richie's job on the night
- 4:40Speaker 1: of was to like keep all the stars happy and
- 4:43Speaker 1: like making jokes and like and when people start bugging
- 4:46Speaker 1: out because they're not gonna be able to sing Swahili,
- 4:48Speaker 1: and everyone respected Stevie so much. No one was gonna, like,
- 4:51Speaker 1: you know, say no to Stevie. But everyone's like, we
- 4:53Speaker 1: gotta get Stevie off this Swahili thing because people are
- 4:55Speaker 1: bugging out. And so then Michael Jackson will like, how
- 5:00Speaker 1: about if it's just something that's not necessarily Swahili, but
- 5:03Speaker 1: it's something that everyone can sing, that that that's that's that,
- 5:06Speaker 1: and he came up with that. First of all, one
- 5:10Speaker 1: of the most amazing things is Michael Jackson's voice is
- 5:12Speaker 1: so incredible, and when everyone else is singing, you're obviously
- 5:18Speaker 1: my experience in watching The Doctor is when everyone else
- 5:20Speaker 1: is singing, you're like, wow, everyone has said a unique thing.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Whether you're Huey Lewis or Cyndey Lauer or Bob Dylan
- 5:25Speaker 1: or Springsteen, everyone has their unique sound. They're all amazing.
- 5:29Speaker 1: But then you hear Michael Jackson singing, You're like, wow,
- 5:31Speaker 1: I kind of want to just hear him sing the
- 5:33Speaker 1: whole thing. His voice is so incredible.
- 5:37Speaker 2: He could sing his butt off. Man. When you listen
- 5:40Speaker 2: to it now now you appreciate it now that he's gone,
- 5:43Speaker 2: But you listen to him now, it's like, Wow, Man
- 5:46Speaker 2: in the Mirror, And there's that moment in Man in
- 5:49Speaker 2: the Mira where it's like, I gotta make that change today,
- 5:54Speaker 2: and he is so in the pocket for that, you know,
- 5:57Speaker 2: minute and a half of you know, him calling and
- 6:01Speaker 2: freaking the chorus calling back to him and everything. Make
- 6:07Speaker 2: that change. Man.
- 6:10Speaker 1: The man who Richie said he didn't do any instruments,
- 6:15Speaker 1: which I guess I knew in the back of my mind,
- 6:17Speaker 1: but not in the forefront. And so he said he
- 6:19Speaker 1: would have all these cassette tapes of just him humming, singing,
- 6:25Speaker 1: going like and like and doing all of the basically parts,
- 6:29Speaker 1: but just vocalizing it, and then musicians would then take
- 6:32Speaker 1: that and write the music. Isn't that crowd?
- 6:34Speaker 2: Yeah, he's fucking There's a doc that's out right now
- 6:38Speaker 2: on Michael Jackson as well that where it's like, you know,
- 6:42Speaker 2: it's there's a bunch of them out. We just got
- 6:44Speaker 2: into it recently because the kids somehow found it. Smooth criminal, man,
- 6:49Speaker 2: that that's all it takes, is smooth criminal, and then
- 6:54Speaker 2: you're hooked. And so now the kids are freaking although
- 6:57Speaker 2: this is hilarious. Okay, So because Mike's face changed so
- 7:00Speaker 2: much as he got older and stuff like that, wild
- 7:04Speaker 2: is like having nightmares about the motherfucking out right, She said, yeah,
- 7:08Speaker 2: like straight up nightmares, like straight up like Michael Jackson's
- 7:12Speaker 2: in my closet and me and Casey will laughing our
- 7:18Speaker 2: asses off, like because.
- 7:20Speaker 1: That was because of his plastic surgery.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Yeah, well yeah, man, and also Thriller and his face
- 7:26Speaker 2: changed and all that ship. But all I can think
- 7:29Speaker 2: of is Michael Jackson in the closet with the side
- 7:33Speaker 2: face look it up through shadow and while the running
- 7:42Speaker 2: out of her room like it scares her, dude, it
- 7:45Speaker 2: really really does.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Well, maybe don't shore it Thriller.
- 7:48Speaker 2: She's seen it all now because she wants to listen
- 7:51Speaker 2: to it. She just girl walks around her and Rocco,
- 7:54Speaker 2: you can hit bats. You've been struck bots a smooth
- 7:58Speaker 2: women dancing doing video game. They're not draggers either, By
- 8:02Speaker 2: the way, your.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Kids, there was a video game, right I play. I
- 8:07Speaker 1: feel like I played that mic I had.
- 8:09Speaker 2: That Yeah on Sega Genesis.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Wait Wilder can moonwalk?
- 8:14Speaker 2: Yeah? Wow, she's not a dragger either.
- 8:18Speaker 1: So audience, Donald is very good at moonwalking and I'm
- 8:24Speaker 1: I'm a bee and he makes fun of me for
- 8:28Speaker 1: not doing it as smoothly as he does it. That's
- 8:31Speaker 1: all I'll say for now, Shna. We are to children
- 8:37Speaker 1: charlinga watch that I just wish I could force you
- 8:41Speaker 1: to watch it sometimes. Well, audience, you'll you'll watch it
- 8:43Speaker 1: please because it's very entertaining and it's just a great story.
- 8:47Speaker 1: It's a great story how they pulled it all together,
- 8:49Speaker 1: and such a cool story about how long Richie and
- 8:52Speaker 1: Michael Jackson just wrote this song together. They had never
- 8:55Speaker 1: written together. And some of the funniest parts of the
- 8:58Speaker 1: documentary are Lownrichie talking about hanging out in Michael's house
- 9:01Speaker 1: and being like, what is going on in the kitchen?
- 9:03Speaker 1: Who's screaming at each other? And Michael's like, Oh, that's
- 9:07Speaker 1: that's my bird and my dog. They always argue. And
- 9:13Speaker 1: then he's like, hold bubbles and He's like, I don't
- 9:15Speaker 1: want to hold bubbles and uh, and then he says,
- 9:18Speaker 1: like Richie said, they're hanging out in this room and
- 9:22Speaker 1: he hears like and he's like, what the fuck is that?
- 9:26Speaker 1: Lionel tells it's so funny. And he turns to his
- 9:28Speaker 1: right and there's a giant fucking bowel constructor sneak and Michael's.
- 9:32Speaker 5: Like, there he is. We've been looking for him. He's
- 9:44Speaker 5: fucking zoo in his house.
- 9:54Speaker 1: There he is, lying. Oh, and he he called Lionel. Lionel.
- 9:57Speaker 1: I think we got here, Lie, Richie told the story.
- 10:01Speaker 1: He's well, Richie, yeah, he always called me Lionel to
- 10:04Speaker 1: be like, Lionel, don't be afraid of the snake. Just
- 10:07Speaker 1: holding Come on, Lionel, that's like freaking uh.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Dan Ackroyd and Eddie Murphy in trading places. Lionel.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Dan Akroyd's in the Weird of the World, as you recall, Yes,
- 10:23Speaker 1: he is, Oh my god. And Cindy, Cindy lauper Man.
- 10:26Speaker 1: She she really she was a belter. She could really
- 10:29Speaker 1: sing like she does. She was great too.
- 10:32Speaker 2: Lionel Joseph, Lionel Joseph's.
- 10:39Speaker 1: What does he say? Oh that's dan Aykroyd on the train.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Yes, oh my god.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Anyway, anyway, should we get on the show.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Oh, do we have to start this talk about well,
- 10:55Speaker 2: we're just so close to that.
- 10:56Speaker 1: You know how many we all loved you? Well in
- 10:59Speaker 1: season eight, there's two left. Oh my god, Donald, there's
- 11:03Speaker 1: two left. Charlie shallinga Cha le Inge Schalingay.
- 11:08Speaker 2: I think that's what he said, Charlinge shal Inge.
- 11:15Speaker 1: We've been looking for him, Lionel, Lionel hold him like
- 11:22Speaker 1: he's got a bull constructor just lost in his house,
- 11:24Speaker 1: Like there he is.
- 11:29Speaker 2: When you listen to listen. So we've been listening. Like
- 11:31Speaker 2: I said, we've been listening to Mike a lot lately,
- 11:34Speaker 2: and like I'm sorry to the Jackson's y'all was carried
- 11:42Speaker 2: straight up, like straight up that brother carried y'all because.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Well, weren't they very good musicians?
- 11:50Speaker 2: All I know is they sing and then Mike sings,
- 11:55Speaker 2: and you like, I just want to hear Mike sing.
- 11:57Speaker 1: I'm telling you, that's what That's why I'm watching We
- 11:59Speaker 1: Are the World, and I'm like, no disrespect. These are
- 12:02Speaker 1: some of the greatest voices in pop. But when they
- 12:04Speaker 1: cut to Michael Jackson's before while they're at the AMAS,
- 12:07Speaker 1: I think that's what it's called American Music Awards. Yeah,
- 12:11Speaker 1: Michael Jackson wasn't there. He was in the studio just
- 12:13Speaker 1: laying down tracks of the whole thing because because he
- 12:15Speaker 1: didn't he wasn't planning on the AMAS. Oh, it was
- 12:17Speaker 1: the whole thing about how Prince won't show up. And
- 12:19Speaker 1: they have Sheila e there because they're trying to lure
- 12:21Speaker 1: Prince to come, and she gets all pissed. She's like,
- 12:24Speaker 1: they said they were gonna give me a verse, but
- 12:26Speaker 1: I think it was bullshit because they were just trying
- 12:28Speaker 1: to get lure Prince here and Prince was like, I'll come,
- 12:31Speaker 1: but I'm only gonna play guitar, and they were like,
- 12:32Speaker 1: we don't need guitar, and so Prince didn't show up.
- 12:35Speaker 1: But anyway, I'm telling you, this thing's amazing. But anyway, Mike,
- 12:38Speaker 1: my point is Michael's there laying down tracks while they're
- 12:41Speaker 1: all at the AMAS in the empty studio. You and
- 12:44Speaker 1: I have been at this studio, by the way, it's
- 12:47Speaker 1: now the on the hen Jim Henson lot, and his
- 12:51Speaker 1: voice is just incredible, and they have interviews with like
- 12:53Speaker 1: the camera people, like you know, these guys were everyone's volunteering.
- 12:56Speaker 1: It was for charity, and this cameraman's like I just
- 12:59Speaker 1: couldn't believe it. I was alone in the studio just
- 13:03Speaker 1: filming Michael Jackson alone singing all of we Are the World.
- 13:06Speaker 1: It was so insane.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Anyway, And it's his part that they use when you're
- 13:12Speaker 2: dada out.
- 13:14Speaker 1: And it seems no hope at all. Oh, and then
- 13:18Speaker 1: it's Huey Lewis.
- 13:19Speaker 2: But if you just believe, and this is when the
- 13:21Speaker 2: sad eye comes in.
- 13:23Speaker 1: No, no, he he likes Hue.
- 13:26Speaker 2: This is where the sad act gets. That whole threesome
- 13:29Speaker 2: gets the side after.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Yeah, but you'll see in the dock that he's into
- 13:34Speaker 1: it at the end. And then when when Cindy Laufer
- 13:36Speaker 1: did that like riff and then let's realize who's that that's.
- 13:46Speaker 3: Oh no, I'm talking about a yea, yeah, yeah, she
- 13:49Speaker 3: riffed that.
- 13:50Speaker 1: And then they all see they were all like and
- 13:51Speaker 1: she was like, is that good? And they all they
- 13:53Speaker 1: were all super yea. They all liked it. Mike may
- 13:57Speaker 1: have given sideye at the beginning, but he ended up
- 13:59Speaker 1: liking it.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Oh.
- 14:02Speaker 1: The Prince spot that Sheli e was like a placeholder
- 14:05Speaker 1: and then she left because she was upset. That went
- 14:08Speaker 1: to that's the one that went to Huey Lewis I
- 14:12Speaker 1: think no, No, Kenny Longins, I don't remember anyway, it's
- 14:20Speaker 1: a great talk watch it.
- 14:21Speaker 2: All I know is he Prince and Mike should have
- 14:23Speaker 2: been the headliners of that ship.
- 14:25Speaker 1: And Prince trying to do it. They had like they
- 14:28Speaker 1: had a competition.
- 14:28Speaker 2: They got that competition ship.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Yeah, and then they were like they were begging Prince
- 14:32Speaker 1: to come up to come and he said he would
- 14:34Speaker 1: only come play guitar, and they were like, dude, we
- 14:36Speaker 1: don't need a guitar on the song. We need to say.
- 14:38Speaker 2: That would have worked for me too, if they would
- 14:39Speaker 2: have collapsed that way also, man, but now they both did,
- 14:43Speaker 2: and that shit can't ever happen. Man in heaven. Maybe
- 14:47Speaker 2: AI can do it, Dear Ai, can you make a
- 14:51Speaker 2: Prince Michael Jackson song? I'm sure you could ask Joe
- 14:55Speaker 2: Well's like, no, don't do that as well.
- 14:56Speaker 1: All right, Donald count of sid.
- 15:01Speaker 6: Stories show, we made about a bunch of said, he's
- 15:10Speaker 6: the Stories Natural.
- 15:15Speaker 2: So YadA YadA, sweet.
- 15:24Speaker 1: All right, very funny episode We're Back from the Bahamas,
- 15:28Speaker 1: directed by legendary TV director. Oh there's Daniel. Hello. Sorry
- 15:41Speaker 1: there was some scheduling misunderstanding Dan, but We're glad you're here.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Yeah, happy to happy to be here. I took my
- 15:47Speaker 3: first city bike adventure to get back here on time.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Well, how did your city bike go bad?
- 15:51Speaker 3: It has flat tires?
- 15:53Speaker 1: Oh, you gotta check. You're a New New Yorker and
- 15:57Speaker 1: it's a very very rookie mistake to check your city
- 16:00Speaker 1: bike tires. Most certainly you won't do that again.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Surely I will not.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Now, Dane, I suggest you get a helmet because I
- 16:10Speaker 1: have one. Oh good, Because I think even people that
- 16:13Speaker 1: ride city bikes who don't own a helmet and they
- 16:15Speaker 1: ride around, I'm always worried for their dome.
- 16:17Speaker 3: I know. I never ride a bike, any kind of
- 16:20Speaker 3: bike without a helmet, and mine was just at home
- 16:22Speaker 3: in Manhattan.
- 16:23Speaker 1: It's a pretty crazy the bicycling situation because the delivery
- 16:27Speaker 1: guys are now all on electric bikes and it's the
- 16:29Speaker 1: wild wild West because they don't care, they don't know.
- 16:32Speaker 1: The police don't have the bandwidth to ticket anyone, so
- 16:35Speaker 1: everyone's going every which way and it's really fucking dangerous.
- 16:40Speaker 1: I ride my bike on Manhattan, but I tried to
- 16:42Speaker 1: always rock my helmet because I think like there's some
- 16:46Speaker 1: crazy figure like one pedestrian dies a day.
- 16:50Speaker 2: I'm done. I'm done.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Do well look that up. I think like maybe it
- 16:54Speaker 1: maybe it works out in the Five Boroughs to like
- 16:56Speaker 1: three hundred and sixty five pedestrian deaths a year. So
- 17:01Speaker 1: that's why they say there's one pedestrian death of day
- 17:03Speaker 1: in the Five Boroughs. I'm not sure, but I remember
- 17:05Speaker 1: reading that and that's when I started rocking my helmet.
- 17:07Speaker 2: You know what sucks, there's been one of those deaths. Yeah, well,
- 17:12Speaker 2: if you can usually somebody hitting to you, Oh my god.
- 17:16Speaker 1: If you're getting out of a cab or an uber
- 17:18Speaker 1: in Manhattan. This is a public service announcement. You have
- 17:22Speaker 1: to look at the bike lane. People. These delivery guys
- 17:25Speaker 1: are going forty miles an hour or whatever. It is
- 17:28Speaker 1: so fast, and that's how people must die, because you
- 17:31Speaker 1: get just fucking mowed down by someone on an electric bike.
- 17:34Speaker 3: It's bad.
- 17:35Speaker 1: So Daniel, rock your helmet.
- 17:37Speaker 3: Oh, I trust me. I will. It's even a high
- 17:39Speaker 3: viz helmet. It's one of them like highlighter yellow ones too.
- 17:42Speaker 3: I go high viz, Joelle just wrote me in the chat.
- 17:45Speaker 3: Twenty twenty three is now the second deadliest year for
- 17:48Speaker 3: bike riders in New York City's recorded history audience. You're listening,
- 17:52Speaker 3: I'm giving you a more you know, public service announcement.
- 17:55Speaker 3: If you go to New York City or you live
- 17:56Speaker 3: in New York City, a be very careful getting out
- 18:00Speaker 3: of your ubers and cabs and always look to see
- 18:02Speaker 3: if a bicyclist is coming. And second, if you live there,
- 18:05Speaker 3: wear a helmet because people are dying and dun, dundun
- 18:11Speaker 3: all right, Donald Legendary TV director Linda Mendoza directed this episode,
- 18:16Speaker 3: written by Kevin Beegele. Elliott makes JD pull over for
- 18:20Speaker 3: car sex because she's jealous whenever Kim is touching JD.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Okay, So we should start off by saying JD and
- 18:29Speaker 2: Elliott and Kim have this relationship that's very similar to
- 18:35Speaker 2: an extended family. Oh where the three of them, you're good,
- 18:40Speaker 2: are raising a child together.
- 18:42Speaker 1: I wish there was a show on network TV about that,
- 18:45Speaker 1: maybe in front of a live studio audience. All right, So, yeah,
- 18:47Speaker 1: they have a situation where they go it's clear that
- 18:51Speaker 1: I forgot how far away.
- 18:53Speaker 2: She's like forty five minutes away on a car.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Okay, So JD goes over there he is child and
- 19:02Speaker 1: Elliott gets very very jealous whenever Kim even touches him,
- 19:08Speaker 1: even touches this collar.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Well, I mean, in a lot of ways, she can
- 19:14Speaker 2: get jealous of it. And you know, Kim and JD
- 19:18Speaker 2: didn't break up because they didn't like each other. They
- 19:22Speaker 2: broke up because it just didn't work. Like she tried,
- 19:27Speaker 2: he tried, you're great, You're great, it just doesn't work.
- 19:33Speaker 2: And if you're Elliott, and you know this because of
- 19:37Speaker 2: how close JD and her are, clearly they talk about
- 19:42Speaker 2: everything together. They talk about We'll talk about the the
- 19:46Speaker 2: sean of it all later, but they you know, they
- 19:48Speaker 2: talk about everything. She knows that if something doesn't happen
- 19:54Speaker 2: with this young lady at some point, she will be
- 19:56Speaker 2: she can be a threat because she does have something.
- 20:00Speaker 2: He's beautiful, yeah, but she also has his kid too.
- 20:04Speaker 1: She's beautiful and she has his kid, and so he
- 20:07Speaker 1: Elliott's nervous. Now, what JD we learned is JD uses
- 20:12Speaker 1: this to get car sex. Yes, I don't think car
- 20:16Speaker 1: sex is something to really be desired.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Do you you ever had car sex?
- 20:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna go no comment, but I don't think that
- 20:24Speaker 1: it's something to be longed.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Why are you going to go. Now, why would you
- 20:27Speaker 2: go to no common It's not like you're saying I
- 20:29Speaker 2: had car sex.
- 20:30Speaker 1: With I'm having car sex right now.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Is that why your camera's off? Yes, okay, but no sincerely, Yeah,
- 20:40Speaker 2: like I would use anything that I could to get
- 20:43Speaker 2: sex at this age, at JD's age.
- 20:47Speaker 1: Well, I don't know. He's into it. That's the point everyone.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Everyone should be into their own thing, whatever it is.
- 20:53Speaker 1: And JD clearly is a fan of car sex. He's
- 20:55Speaker 1: also a fan of one step more kinky, and that
- 20:58Speaker 1: is he sort of seems to have this arrange with
- 21:01Speaker 1: a biker played by Neil Goldman when.
- 21:04Speaker 2: It created a lot of selfies in this one.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Of our writers who's actually the co showrunner with Bill
- 21:10Speaker 1: Lawrence on the hit show Shrinking Nice.
- 21:13Speaker 2: I like how you did that.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Neil Goldman plays the cyclist who takes a selfie of
- 21:20Speaker 1: watching j D and Elliott bang in the front seat, which,
- 21:23Speaker 1: without Elliott's consent, pretty Sketch already knows. But then she
- 21:28Speaker 1: admits later that she does know. Yeah, and she's down
- 21:31Speaker 1: with it. Well, this kind of harkens back to Elliott's
- 21:34Speaker 1: you know, kinky sex desires. You know, she's she's falling
- 21:38Speaker 1: back on her old ways. Dun dun, duh. Reveal. Kim
- 21:42Speaker 1: is dating Sean.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Played by Scott Poley, who was hilarious in this episode.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Way it's obnoxious how handsome he is.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Yeah, you know what, I don't understand why Scott. I mean,
- 21:54Speaker 2: it worked out for him obviously, but Scott went directly
- 21:56Speaker 2: into drama and fucking action after Scrubs. He could have
- 22:02Speaker 2: had a really long career in comedy.
- 22:05Speaker 1: His career is not over.
- 22:06Speaker 2: He's very funny, no doubt, because he was hilarious.
- 22:11Speaker 1: He keeps doing drama. But I would love to see
- 22:14Speaker 1: Scott Foley in a comedy. He's so fun of this
- 22:17Speaker 1: and he's such a good foil for JD because he
- 22:20Speaker 1: looks like a mannequin. I mean, he's just so handsome
- 22:26Speaker 1: and like he's the exact guy you don't want to
- 22:29Speaker 1: not only be your baby mama's new boyfriend, but your
- 22:33Speaker 1: ex boyfriend.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Let's take a break.
- 22:35Speaker 1: We'll be right back after these fine words. No Instagram
- 22:45Speaker 1: really knows how to target me with ads, guys, it's
- 22:48Speaker 1: fucked up. It's rare that I don't want what they're
- 22:50Speaker 1: trying to sell me.
- 22:51Speaker 3: They always know it's just everybody's selling each other their data.
- 22:55Speaker 3: I look something up on one computer, my Instagram is saying, oh,
- 22:58Speaker 3: do you want an automan?
- 22:59Speaker 1: Like I was just saying, Donald, how Instagram is so
- 23:04Speaker 1: good with their ad targeting, like eighty five percent of
- 23:07Speaker 1: the time. I'm like, I do want that?
- 23:09Speaker 2: How do you know it's your AI? It's whatever it
- 23:13Speaker 2: is in the phone collect You're.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Well, no, it's instant's scrolling Instagram and it knows. Instagram
- 23:19Speaker 1: knows even when you slow down on something and it's
- 23:21Speaker 1: like okay, they just constantly collecting NonStop data on you.
- 23:25Speaker 1: So then and they also look if you've bought things before,
- 23:27Speaker 1: and they go, well, if he bought that at this
- 23:29Speaker 1: price point and he slowed down to look at that thing,
- 23:33Speaker 1: then this is the most I mean, it's just, I mean,
- 23:35Speaker 1: the most advanced AI learning whatever it is to to
- 23:40Speaker 1: figure out what.
- 23:41Speaker 2: I always thought that the phone was recording what you
- 23:43Speaker 2: were saying, and so if you said something like damn,
- 23:46Speaker 2: I really do need to schedule my colonoscopy, You'll get
- 23:50Speaker 2: flooded with emails and stuff like that.
- 23:52Speaker 1: People think that Dan, what I mean, that's that's always
- 23:55Speaker 1: been an old wives tale. But it hasn't been proven.
- 23:58Speaker 3: Well, I mean it's there is some to it, but
- 24:00Speaker 3: I think the bigger thing is that every single company
- 24:03Speaker 3: is selling each other their ads. So if you search
- 24:05Speaker 3: something on Google Chrome or on Safari, they're selling that
- 24:08Speaker 3: information to Facebook, who is selling it to Amazon, who
- 24:11Speaker 3: is blah blah blah blah blah. So it's like every
- 24:12Speaker 3: piece of data that you enter into the Internet is
- 24:15Speaker 3: then being served to every other social media and whatnot
- 24:18Speaker 3: such that like I'm searching something on Amazon, I'm getting
- 24:21Speaker 3: an ad for it on Instagram full out. So that's
- 24:24Speaker 3: what it is. It's just a giant web of your information.
- 24:27Speaker 1: When you click allowed cookies, does that does that contribute
- 24:31Speaker 1: to it?
- 24:32Speaker 3: Yes?
- 24:32Speaker 1: Yeah, they just every time you click allow cookies now
- 24:36Speaker 1: on any site, and they won't let you use the
- 24:37Speaker 1: site without it. It's like learning more and more and
- 24:39Speaker 1: more ABOUUEMM.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Don't you find it weird that Sean and Kim date even.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Though Elliott set them up? Yeah?
- 24:53Speaker 2: Yeah, but they date Like this opens up this whole
- 25:00Speaker 2: finger cut Wiener Cousins.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Well, yeah, we're going to get into that. Don't jump
- 25:04Speaker 1: ahead to Wiener cousins.
- 25:06Speaker 2: You and I are not waianner cousins.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Bro, we're not wier cousins. No, I mean, as far
- 25:10Speaker 1: as we know, as far as we know, that's true,
- 25:13Speaker 1: there could be.
- 25:14Speaker 2: I don't think there's any overlap.
- 25:17Speaker 1: As far as we know, as far as we know,
- 25:21Speaker 1: I don't think that we have the right to link fingers. No,
- 25:27Speaker 1: but and I'm proud of that for us so much.
- 25:30Speaker 1: I don't want to be your wiener cousin.
- 25:31Speaker 2: I don't want to be your wiener cousin either.
- 25:33Speaker 1: I feel like you'd be a hard act to follow
- 25:35Speaker 1: because you like long ease.
- 25:37Speaker 2: I feel like you like quickies. Do you really like quickies?
- 25:44Speaker 1: I like all kinds of ease. But I feel like
- 25:45Speaker 1: you you would be he would be a hard act
- 25:48Speaker 1: to follow.
- 25:51Speaker 3: All kinds of these. That's a good one.
- 25:53Speaker 1: I feel like we've heard so much about your sexual
- 25:56Speaker 1: prowess on this podcast. I just feel like I wouldn't
- 25:59Speaker 1: want to be after you.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Well, they talk about JD's what you're gonna call it
- 26:03Speaker 2: his foreplay and what it's called.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Well, you're jumping ahead, bro, No what.
- 26:08Speaker 2: You just called the old kindsies and the long.
- 26:11Speaker 1: But let's get to that. Don't stop jumping ahead. We
- 26:13Speaker 1: have to save her. We were running out of episode.
- 26:15Speaker 1: You better save me. I'm saving Sabe, all right, So
- 26:19Speaker 1: Zeb puts fuzz in his hair. Kim's dating Sean. Oh,
- 26:22Speaker 1: all right, here's your storyline. Chief of surgery job is
- 26:25Speaker 1: up and Turk wants it, and Cox says, hell no.
- 26:30Speaker 1: He's really really dismissive of the idea of Turkleton.
- 26:34Speaker 2: But you know, when you have a strong woman in
- 26:37Speaker 2: your life who knows how to build you up just
- 26:40Speaker 2: the right way. Yep, the way Carla does. She goes
- 26:43Speaker 2: out there and you make it happen.
- 26:45Speaker 3: Yes, she does.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Ye, she bigs him up. She goes, baby, because you
- 26:49Speaker 2: always make it happen. He's like, I do. She goes
- 26:52Speaker 2: When you first got to this hospital and you wanted
- 26:55Speaker 2: to date me, and there was no way that was
- 26:56Speaker 2: going to happen, would you do? I made it happen, right,
- 27:00Speaker 2: hmmm right.
- 27:02Speaker 1: But everyone needs a partner in their life that bigs
- 27:05Speaker 1: them up, like Carla biggs up Turk. That's goals.
- 27:08Speaker 2: I hope Turk is vice versa doing the same thing
- 27:10Speaker 2: for her.
- 27:11Speaker 1: I think he is.
- 27:13Speaker 2: I mean, in the last episode he was and he
- 27:15Speaker 2: was just trying to have sex. Turk is so Donald Faison,
- 27:18Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 27:19Speaker 1: I know, I know what the hell I think? Eight
- 27:22Speaker 1: years in Bill was just writing you I wasn't even.
- 27:26Speaker 2: Married to Casey yet, what the heck is telling the future.
- 27:32Speaker 1: So Todd asked the jenitor, how's married life? And the
- 27:35Speaker 1: jenner says, you have to make compromises. My wife's allergic
- 27:39Speaker 1: to raccoons, so I had to throw away my comforter.
- 27:42Speaker 2: That raccoon comforter that he has. You know, it's interesting
- 27:47Speaker 2: that Kelso decided to stay in this story. Now, Kelso,
- 27:53Speaker 2: the janitor and lady spent the honeymoon together. That's who
- 27:57Speaker 2: their honeymoon was.
- 27:57Speaker 1: With, because Tulsa was just like on a down there.
- 28:00Speaker 1: But here's what's really crazy, bro Kelso. You know, look
- 28:05Speaker 1: who kicks Kelso out of the Bahamas. It's it's Randall.
- 28:10Speaker 1: But that's supposed to be Van Well, Van Lawrence. Bill's
- 28:14Speaker 1: dad is in the squad, Deontay Deonta. Here's what's confusing
- 28:20Speaker 1: in the Scrubs universe. I don't think many people play
- 28:23Speaker 1: multiple characters. This is Randall's third.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Character Bahamas guy. Well, same thing with Deontay Tho.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't like I think Bill's starting to phone
- 28:34Speaker 1: it in because these were repeating characters. That was like
- 28:36Speaker 1: a Scrubs rule, like if you were somebody, you were
- 28:38Speaker 1: that person.
- 28:39Speaker 2: Not for Rando. But Randa was able to get away
- 28:42Speaker 2: with it at first because he had a mask on
- 28:43Speaker 2: his death.
- 28:44Speaker 1: He was death as you all know. And then he
- 28:47Speaker 1: was of course Leonard. Oh he is Mark the Orderly.
- 28:51Speaker 2: I think it was Big Sack and season four.
- 28:54Speaker 1: Oh Deontay's third role fig Sack, Mark the Orderly and
- 29:00Speaker 1: random Bahamas.
- 29:02Speaker 2: It means to be there from the beginning.
- 29:03Speaker 1: I guess he was there every single day. But I
- 29:07Speaker 1: really got thrown when I saw Leonard kicking kicking Kelso
- 29:11Speaker 1: off off the island, and then I realized, oh, he's
- 29:13Speaker 1: not Leonard. I was like, why is Leonard there? Because
- 29:15Speaker 1: he didn't have a hook hand and there was another
- 29:19Speaker 1: guy who was not recognizable but Kelso. What happened was
- 29:23Speaker 1: Kelso said, I thought it was a nude beach, and
- 29:28Speaker 1: they said it was a church. A church, So that's
- 29:31Speaker 1: how drunk he was. Yes, all right, So coffee box
- 29:36Speaker 1: has to close because their pastry chef has an intestinal virus.
- 29:41Speaker 2: Very a very contagious intestinal virus.
- 29:44Speaker 1: This doesn't make any sense because I don't think a
- 29:46Speaker 1: coffee chain has an in house pastry chef. But okay, sure, sure,
- 29:54Speaker 1: but Kelso has had so many muffins that he goes
- 29:56Speaker 1: down for the count.
- 29:58Speaker 2: He gets this virus, Yeah, and admits himself into the hospital.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Yes, because he knows he's very seasoned doctor and he
- 30:05Speaker 1: knows what's coming. So he decides it's best to just
- 30:08Speaker 1: check in, and he pukes.
- 30:09Speaker 2: And he's also in the hospital already.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Right, but he pukes at the check in desk admissions desk.
- 30:16Speaker 1: JAD puts on a cologne that Elliott hates in order
- 30:19Speaker 1: to punish her because he's what does he upset, Oh
- 30:22Speaker 1: for setting them up?
- 30:23Speaker 2: I forgot for hooking Sean and uh and Kim up.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Right and the cologne. I mean that's just okay, we
- 30:31Speaker 1: understand later why it's there, but it's weird plot point.
- 30:35Speaker 2: It's just but it's funny though, Like, how is this
- 30:38Speaker 2: relationship gonna work? Dude? This dude is always punishing her,
- 30:42Speaker 2: Like what the fuck, dude, you put a cologne on
- 30:44Speaker 2: because you know she hates it. She's talking about how
- 30:47Speaker 2: much better in bed Sean is, so yeah, Kelso's pranking.
- 30:54Speaker 2: The in turns also by pretending he's dead. Yeah, he's
- 30:59Speaker 2: also so he's also realized, look, I can get through
- 31:04Speaker 2: this a lot faster if I take care of this right.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Let me get rid of these fuckers and I'll handle
- 31:10Speaker 2: this all on my own, right, So he admits an IV.
- 31:13Speaker 2: He changes his chart to get the proper medication so
- 31:17Speaker 2: he can get out of the hospital and back to
- 31:19Speaker 2: the coffee box this quick.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, he knows what he needs obviously, he's a
- 31:23Speaker 1: seasoned doctor and he doesn't have time for these interns
- 31:26Speaker 1: trying to start a line on his arm, and he's like,
- 31:28Speaker 1: just give it to me, I'll do it. And then
- 31:30Speaker 1: he's fucking with his chart and he just wants to
- 31:32Speaker 1: get it. He knows what he needs, but he's trying
- 31:34Speaker 1: to go around them.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Right the orange stitching, which is very important later on.
- 31:39Speaker 2: I thought at first, I was like, you know, that's interesting.
- 31:43Speaker 2: What is this something that surgeons do? I imagine it is.
- 31:47Speaker 1: It must be. I don't think we would have done
- 31:48Speaker 1: it if it wasn't something that's done. You got to
- 31:52Speaker 1: practice your stitches somewhere.
- 31:55Speaker 2: They did it on grades anatomy also, Oh so we
- 31:58Speaker 2: did it first too.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Well, you're watching other medical shows.
- 32:00Speaker 3: What the fuck.
- 32:02Speaker 2: We should totally do a rewatch of Gray's Anatomy.
- 32:05Speaker 1: Do you love Gray's Anatomye?
- 32:06Speaker 7: Uh yeah, I've been Grey's Anatomy since day one watching it.
- 32:12Speaker 2: Drama and hot interns and bombs. What's not to love? Yeah,
- 32:16Speaker 2: Like everything happens at that hospital. Dude, they had a
- 32:19Speaker 2: fucking they had a fucking hostage like that. Shit would
- 32:22Speaker 2: die hard on Gray's Anatomy. Like that's everything happens on
- 32:27Speaker 2: that ship. I think one of them got kidnapped and
- 32:30Speaker 2: molested by the dude behind the in the arcade.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Whudy just keeps going.
- 32:36Speaker 2: Just everything happens. I think one of them got their
- 32:38Speaker 2: hair turned green because of the rain. It's just like
- 32:41Speaker 2: different strokes everything these people, you.
- 32:44Speaker 1: Understand where you're going. All I heard was Dudley and
- 32:47Speaker 1: then the arcade. The molistation totally didn't get molested. He
- 32:52Speaker 1: was about to be wanted and it was at the
- 32:53Speaker 1: bike shop.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Where was that? The arcades don't.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Challenge my different strokes.
- 32:58Speaker 2: I love that you knew that, let's take a break.
- 33:00Speaker 1: We'll be right back after these fine words, and we're
- 33:11Speaker 1: back in. So there's a moment where they're going good, good, good,
- 33:15Speaker 1: and then Jad says, stop saying good, Sean, you sound
- 33:17Speaker 1: like an ass. Nobody cares Sean.
- 33:21Speaker 2: You said good, but he said good, He said good good.
- 33:25Speaker 1: You know they're having all these awkward moments that it
- 33:27Speaker 1: was a funny moment when we're all when we go
- 33:29Speaker 1: over their house, so we can't figure out how to
- 33:30Speaker 1: sit who's gonna sit on the couch and we're all
- 33:33Speaker 1: kind of standing up and then we keep sitting down
- 33:35Speaker 1: because like this is a cringe moment.
- 33:36Speaker 2: We don't know what you guys pass out on the couch? Actually, right?
- 33:41Speaker 2: Is that what happened? And they walk in what happens
- 33:44Speaker 2: in the beginning where he says, this is like something
- 33:47Speaker 2: from a boyfriend and girlfriend passed or something like that.
- 33:51Speaker 2: Did you guys fall asleep on the couch? Is that
- 33:53Speaker 2: what happened?
- 33:54Speaker 1: I don't think. I think we were just hanging on
- 33:55Speaker 1: the couch. But they make some comment like oh, it's
- 33:58Speaker 1: like a I don't know, like deja vu? What's the
- 34:01Speaker 1: expression or something a girlfriend's past.
- 34:03Speaker 2: Yeah, And then you guys switch up and then but.
- 34:06Speaker 1: Then there's a funny like awkward lover like you said, no,
- 34:08Speaker 1: that's weird. No, I thought that was pretty funny. Yeah,
- 34:11Speaker 1: so peer recommendations. Everyone's coming to rally for Turk to
- 34:17Speaker 1: get this position because.
- 34:19Speaker 2: T versus the Todd is in there, and what does
- 34:22Speaker 2: he say. He gives a bunch of reasons why.
- 34:25Speaker 1: What's the main one he will.
- 34:27Speaker 2: One is because he's a great surgeon. He has great hands,
- 34:31Speaker 2: he's very smart, he has a great dog. Awesome, he
- 34:36Speaker 2: has an awesome dog. He's the best surgeon in the hospital.
- 34:42Speaker 2: Could you go back two or three more? He has
- 34:45Speaker 2: great hands.
- 34:49Speaker 1: Todd is being interviewed for whether his friend should get
- 34:51Speaker 1: the chief of Surgery position, and he mentions that said
- 34:55Speaker 1: friend has an amazing dong.
- 34:57Speaker 2: Yeah, and then he goes, it's not just me, and
- 35:00Speaker 2: then everybody comes in, including the janitor.
- 35:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:05Speaker 1: The janitor wants to know if Turk will get like
- 35:09Speaker 1: a special hat. No, first he just mentions he wants
- 35:15Speaker 1: to know, because he's chief of surgery, if he's going
- 35:17Speaker 1: to have like a police chief style hat. And then
- 35:19Speaker 1: it goes down a wormhole of really being invested in
- 35:22Speaker 1: you having some sort of special hat.
- 35:24Speaker 2: And he because he thinks he's going to punish him
- 35:26Speaker 2: by making him wear a silly hat, and so he gives.
- 35:30Speaker 3: That I thought it was.
- 35:31Speaker 1: It was a punishment thing.
- 35:32Speaker 2: Yeah, he's trying to make Turk feel silly by giving
- 35:35Speaker 2: him this stupid hat to wear, and so that's why
- 35:38Speaker 2: it has all of these weird things in it.
- 35:40Speaker 1: Oh, I didn't know that. I thought he was just
- 35:42Speaker 1: trying to He never works, this fucking guy. I mean,
- 35:45Speaker 1: it's amazing that he The whole hospital isn't being cleaned,
- 35:49Speaker 1: at least by him, and he's spending his days trying
- 35:53Speaker 1: to make a special hat for Turk in case he
- 35:55Speaker 1: becomes chief of medicine surgery surgery. Okay, Elliot dreams about
- 36:01Speaker 1: Kim dying.
- 36:02Speaker 2: But it's all right because Kim admits that she dreams
- 36:04Speaker 2: about Elliott dying.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Right, and then she also admits that she knows about
- 36:09Speaker 1: the cyclists, and she's okay with it.
- 36:12Speaker 3: All right.
- 36:12Speaker 1: So here are some of the names for JD's for play.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Elliott and Kim share their experience hooking up with j
- 36:20Speaker 1: E and he takes the play part of four play
- 36:24Speaker 1: very seriously and makes sort of games. Here are some
- 36:28Speaker 1: of the titles I wrote them down, Nooks and Crannies,
- 36:33Speaker 1: Upsy Daisy, Who's in there? And what's in there? What's
- 36:39Speaker 1: in there, and then mister Peep tries on hats.
- 36:48Speaker 2: I want to know mister Peep tries on hats is.
- 36:51Speaker 1: I think he probably fashions as very as a hat
- 36:54Speaker 1: motive in this episode, but he probably fashions small hats
- 36:57Speaker 1: that will fit on the on the head of his people.
- 37:00Speaker 2: Peeps.
- 37:00Speaker 1: Yeah, the weirdo.
- 37:03Speaker 2: That's that's four fla.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, I mean to each their own, Donald, I mean,
- 37:08Speaker 1: you know, it obviously works for some very beautiful, amazing
- 37:12Speaker 1: women like these two. I wonder what nooks and crannies is.
- 37:17Speaker 2: I know what nooks and cranny's. Everybody knows what nooks
- 37:20Speaker 2: and cranny's is.
- 37:21Speaker 1: That seis, what's who's in there?
- 37:25Speaker 2: Well? I thought that's what mister Peeps tries on hats
- 37:27Speaker 2: was too.
- 37:28Speaker 1: No, mister peep trion hats. I just assumed was that
- 37:31Speaker 1: he fashions like he grabs something that could be a
- 37:34Speaker 1: hat for his people.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Who's in there? Wait, what's in there? And who's in there?
- 37:46Speaker 1: Who's in there? Is first? Who's in there? And what's
- 37:48Speaker 1: in there?
- 37:54Speaker 2: That can be looked at us so many different ways.
- 37:58Speaker 2: Who's in there?
- 37:59Speaker 1: Who's in there? What's in there?
- 38:01Speaker 2: Let's sit there, all.
- 38:03Speaker 1: Right, so Sean and j D they say they're going
- 38:07Speaker 1: to say something nice about each other, and JD says,
- 38:09Speaker 1: you're a beautiful man, And now you.
- 38:12Speaker 2: Go and said, I never agreed to that beautiful son of.
- 38:19Speaker 1: A bitch, your beautiful seventh He is beautiful.
- 38:25Speaker 2: That's very handsome. My goodness, Scott Foley, Wow, I can
- 38:30Speaker 2: see why you were the heart throb on Felicity all
- 38:33Speaker 2: those years and Scandal?
- 38:34Speaker 1: Wasn't you a heart throb on Scandal?
- 38:36Speaker 2: Wish right? He had Olivia Pope's ear?
- 38:39Speaker 1: Was it a love triangle between him and Tony Goldwyn?
- 38:42Speaker 2: You got to be a handsome motherfucker to be in
- 38:44Speaker 2: a love triangle with Tony Goldwin and Carrie Washington.
- 38:47Speaker 1: Yeah, that is a prime time Shonda Rhymes love triangle
- 38:51Speaker 1: right there.
- 38:52Speaker 2: I love the way you rhyme that. That is a
- 38:53Speaker 2: prime rhyme. Yeah, I love love trying.
- 39:00Speaker 1: By the way, I know all three of them, and
- 39:04Speaker 1: I have to say all three of them are very
- 39:06Speaker 1: very very nice people and very beautiful and of course
- 39:10Speaker 1: very beautiful. Tony's just the best. He's the sweetest person
- 39:14Speaker 1: on earth.
- 39:14Speaker 2: Didn't he direct a movie you were in?
- 39:17Speaker 1: Yeah? Last Kiss. That's how I know him well, he
- 39:18Speaker 1: directed The Last Kiss, But I just love him as
- 39:20Speaker 1: a person. He's just he. I had an early he
- 39:23Speaker 1: came to my premiere in New York of a Good
- 39:27Speaker 1: Person and he was just so lovely. And I don't
- 39:30Speaker 1: know anyone who in the business who's ever worked or
- 39:32Speaker 1: met Tony Goldwin will tell you he's just the sweetest,
- 39:35Speaker 1: nicest man. And he's ripped by the way he rose.
- 39:38Speaker 1: That's his thing. He rose on a rowing machine.
- 39:42Speaker 2: There are a couple of spirits that I don't like
- 39:46Speaker 2: him when they pulled him into.
- 39:48Speaker 1: The oh a ghost reference, Yes it is.
- 39:52Speaker 2: For those of you who don't know, he's amazing.
- 39:54Speaker 1: He's the bad guy from Ghosts. Guys, he's the bad
- 39:56Speaker 1: when I worked with him. How you always joked that
- 40:00Speaker 1: people see you when they're like clue this, But people
- 40:01Speaker 1: see him they're like bad guy from ghost Yeah, guy
- 40:06Speaker 1: from Ghost back in the day, back in the day.
- 40:10Speaker 1: This is like two thousand and six from Ghosts.
- 40:13Speaker 2: Oh shit, yo, back guy from Ghosts up and bad
- 40:17Speaker 2: guy from ghost What's off? Oh shit? Yo? What other
- 40:21Speaker 2: movies you'd be in? Bad Guy from Ghosts?
- 40:23Speaker 1: So many movies? All right, Wiener, He's in Oppenheimer Actually,
- 40:26Speaker 1: you don't watch that Guy from ghosts in Bad Guy
- 40:28Speaker 1: from ghost is in Oppenheimer. I know you don't watch things.
- 40:32Speaker 2: Is Gone Girl in Oppenheimer? What is Gone Girl in Oppenheimer?
- 40:37Speaker 1: No, Gone Girl is not an Oppenheimer. Gone Girl is
- 40:40Speaker 1: in Sulburn.
- 40:42Speaker 2: Gongoes in Sulburn. Got it, got it? Got it?
- 40:47Speaker 1: Oh my god? Speaking of Gone Girl, the most insane
- 40:50Speaker 1: docu sriies that your wife told me to watch American Nightmare.
- 40:54Speaker 1: Have you seen that, guys, Joelle, you've seen it? Yeah,
- 40:57Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. It's an insane story that you have
- 41:01Speaker 1: to watch. It's on Netflix. It's called American Nightmare, twenty
- 41:04Speaker 1: three episodes. Casey told me to watch it. It's insane.
- 41:07Speaker 3: Can they get the elevator pitch?
- 41:09Speaker 1: The elevator pitch is a woman is kidnapped and I
- 41:13Speaker 1: don't want to ruin anything because it's an insane story.
- 41:16Speaker 1: But basically the police things she's she and her boyfriend
- 41:19Speaker 1: are lying that she's been kidnapped. And I won't say
- 41:22Speaker 1: anymore because the story is so insane. You have to
- 41:25Speaker 1: watch it unravel.
- 41:29Speaker 3: Okay.
- 41:29Speaker 1: It's so good. Someone's gonna make a movie out of
- 41:31Speaker 1: it because it's that good. It deserves to be made
- 41:33Speaker 1: into a feature true story. Yeah, yeah, it's a doc.
- 41:38Speaker 1: Oh sorry I missed the bark out and then sorry,
- 41:41Speaker 1: let me get Donald back. And then the storm trober
- 41:43Speaker 1: shoot and everyone dies and they come back and they
- 41:45Speaker 1: win and they and they save the Death Star. Is
- 41:47Speaker 1: that right?
- 41:48Speaker 3: Nice?
- 41:48Speaker 2: There's a documentary about Star Wars.
- 41:50Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, we just wanted to bull you back.
- 41:53Speaker 2: Okay, when where can I find the said doc?
- 41:55Speaker 1: Said doc? All right, So then now we're finally into
- 41:59Speaker 1: the idea of Wien. You're cousins, and.
- 42:01Speaker 2: Uh, there are a lot of them in the hospital,
- 42:04Speaker 2: stronger than fat and and and Mark and Turker Wiener cousins.
- 42:09Speaker 1: Before you you're jumping ahead all episode today, you're skipping Beard,
- 42:14Speaker 1: Fussay and Snoop Dogg.
- 42:16Speaker 2: Resident that's right there, Wiener cousins too.
- 42:19Speaker 1: And then we learned that it was Nurse Roberts.
- 42:23Speaker 2: God bless the dead, and both of them on.
- 42:26Speaker 1: The same night. And then I say, may she rest
- 42:29Speaker 1: in peace? Yes, so beards. This this must have been
- 42:33Speaker 1: one of her above ground pool parties.
- 42:35Speaker 2: But but the is it mister Roberts at these parties too?
- 42:38Speaker 1: Maybe he's down, you know, we as we know from
- 42:41Speaker 1: the podcast some people are.
- 42:42Speaker 2: Just saying, mister Roberts is a cok Is that what
- 42:44Speaker 2: you're saying right now?
- 42:45Speaker 1: I think a cock is derogatory, right, I don't know,
- 42:48Speaker 1: is it, Daniel Joelle?
- 42:50Speaker 3: It's just a it's just a practice of watching your partner.
- 42:53Speaker 1: Be Okay, But I thought, okay, but if you're down
- 42:56Speaker 1: with it.
- 42:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean that's a technical word. But I think
- 43:00Speaker 3: think we have seen the word cuck be transformed by
- 43:04Speaker 3: a certain demographic of people.
- 43:05Speaker 1: Okay, I just didn't know. In the Let's say someone's
- 43:08Speaker 1: listening and they're super into this, I don't want them
- 43:10Speaker 1: to feel like we're dissing them if that's their seas.
- 43:13Speaker 3: Cuckold stuff is totally a It's a kink on its own.
- 43:16Speaker 1: Okay, Dann, you seem quite knowledgeable anyway, So.
- 43:22Speaker 3: I was once a teenager on the internet.
- 43:24Speaker 2: Anyway, Deontae, so, Mark and Turk guess what they are?
- 43:29Speaker 1: Yeah, they're wien your cousins. We never heard this story
- 43:32Speaker 1: about that.
- 43:33Speaker 2: Kelso and the janitor Guess what they are?
- 43:36Speaker 1: Weien your cousins. Yep, but wait, that's deep. We learned
- 43:40Speaker 1: that it was twenty years ago. But the janitor says,
- 43:44Speaker 1: I'll honor the code. That's how deep the Wien your
- 43:48Speaker 1: cousin code is.
- 43:49Speaker 2: Yeah, you're gonna honor it forever.
- 43:52Speaker 1: I'm worried that there's a bond that we don't have
- 43:55Speaker 1: in our life. We are so close on so many ways,
- 43:57Speaker 1: and this is this is an area where we're.
- 44:00Speaker 2: There's no way. Just don't even don't do it. Don't
- 44:04Speaker 2: do it.
- 44:05Speaker 7: I know it.
- 44:06Speaker 2: Don't you do it. Don't you fucking do it. You
- 44:10Speaker 2: knew I was reaching for the bokne I know the
- 44:13Speaker 2: reaching for.
- 44:18Speaker 1: All Right, let's get back. Oh Bejingo sisters, we learn
- 44:21Speaker 1: as the female term for weener cousins, good sisters.
- 44:26Speaker 2: I would love to be in a Bajingo's sister sandwich
- 44:31Speaker 2: when I was younger.
- 44:32Speaker 1: You may have been, you don't know.
- 44:33Speaker 2: So look here's the question. Now, do women like it
- 44:37Speaker 2: when men brag about being Wiener cousins? Because I would
- 44:43Speaker 2: imagine men wouldn't mind if women bragged about being Bajingo sisters.
- 44:49Speaker 3: You mean like in front of the said person.
- 44:53Speaker 2: If somebody, if somebody, I would feel a little awkward
- 44:56Speaker 2: me personally.
- 44:57Speaker 3: Yeah, Like if two women who had sex with you,
- 45:00Speaker 3: we're like, oh, you had it. I had it, you
- 45:01Speaker 3: had I had it, and so we both had you and.
- 45:04Speaker 2: They were like, we're Virginia, We're Virginia sisters. I think
- 45:08Speaker 2: i'd laugh, you wouldn't laugh, Okay, now vice versa.
- 45:12Speaker 1: I would imagine the women wouldn't like that. That's my guess.
- 45:15Speaker 1: I don't know Joelle, Joelle as our resident woman.
- 45:21Speaker 2: A little bit.
- 45:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I told you, yeah, yeah, you know, you may.
- 45:27Speaker 2: Be like, yo, yeah, I had that.
- 45:29Speaker 7: It was great one time you want done dope and
- 45:32Speaker 7: then you know, it's a fun story you share with
- 45:35Speaker 7: your friend, or to be a horrifying meltdown of a relationship, the.
- 45:40Speaker 2: Death of a relationship.
- 45:41Speaker 1: I think it depends on the context. For sure.
- 45:45Speaker 2: I don't want to know. I don't want to be
- 45:46Speaker 2: wiener cousins with any people.
- 45:48Speaker 1: Like, do you know anyone in your life that you
- 45:50Speaker 1: are for sure a wean your cousin with.
- 45:52Speaker 2: I'm sure there are several people that we grew up
- 45:55Speaker 2: in New York City. I grew up in Hollywood. This
- 45:58Speaker 2: is Hollywood, dude, Are you kidding me? Yeah, I'll tell
- 46:04Speaker 2: Let's take a break.
- 46:05Speaker 1: We'll be right back after these fine words. All right,
- 46:14Speaker 1: let's move on from wing your cousins. Kelso's doctoring is file.
- 46:18Speaker 1: We talked about that, then we talked about the flashback
- 46:20Speaker 1: to the Bahamas. Oh, this was really random. The JD
- 46:24Speaker 1: searches Sean's peach, so the baby's always crying when he's
- 46:28Speaker 1: around JD, and JD has the humiliating thing to deal
- 46:33Speaker 1: with that the second the baby is held by Sean,
- 46:36Speaker 1: his own baby stops crying. So this is understandably horrible
- 46:40Speaker 1: for JD. And he thinks that Sean has a remote
- 46:44Speaker 1: shocking device on baby and that the device might be
- 46:47Speaker 1: hidden at the bottom of Sean's peach yogurgert, so he
- 46:52Speaker 1: inspects with his fingers the peach yogurt for said device.
- 47:00Speaker 2: Okay, I want to give a shout out to all
- 47:02Speaker 2: of the background actors in this episode because I don't
- 47:06Speaker 2: know if you were particularly paying any attention to them,
- 47:09Speaker 2: but they all had a lot to do, not that
- 47:11Speaker 2: they always don't have a lot to do, but in
- 47:14Speaker 2: this one particular, that Wunner with Kelso and Cox where
- 47:18Speaker 2: Kelso's butt is out and everybody's admiring. If you watch
- 47:23Speaker 2: the background in the back, they all do such a
- 47:26Speaker 2: really good job. And this isn't the only thing that
- 47:28Speaker 2: they do this in. But this was a highlight for
- 47:32Speaker 2: the fun They were all very very funny.
- 47:35Speaker 1: Yeah, all the background actors were very funny in that moment.
- 47:37Speaker 1: And what about Mickhead taking a.
- 47:39Speaker 2: Picture taking the picture? Yeah, with his cell phone.
- 47:43Speaker 1: So Carla begins working Cox to get Turkeleton the job.
- 47:48Speaker 2: He's the only one for the child.
- 47:50Speaker 1: You know, it's weird that Cox has such a blind
- 47:53Speaker 1: spot to the genius of the who's the best surgeon
- 47:56Speaker 1: in the.
- 47:56Speaker 2: Hospital, especially after everyone's gone to bat for them too.
- 48:00Speaker 1: Yeah, even Todd.
- 48:02Speaker 2: Yeah, bring up that old feud a lot over Carlo.
- 48:07Speaker 1: Mm all right, here's a weird thing.
- 48:10Speaker 6: G D.
- 48:11Speaker 1: I guess tells Sam a lot of stories about unicorns.
- 48:14Speaker 2: There's so many of them.
- 48:16Speaker 1: He there's a lot of them, And he goes, they
- 48:17Speaker 1: just come to me, and I gotta get them out there.
- 48:20Speaker 1: They're magical.
- 48:22Speaker 2: They're not.
- 48:25Speaker 1: That's all his unicorns story is for Sam.
- 48:29Speaker 2: She goes, they're not, they're not.
- 48:31Speaker 1: That's when we learned that the cologne is the source
- 48:34Speaker 1: of what's annoying and irritating the baby. Eureka, And then
- 48:39Speaker 1: he gets the shower problems solved.
- 48:41Speaker 2: Yeah, he takes a shower and puts on new clothes.
- 48:46Speaker 1: Yes, and he borrows Sean's. And then towards the end,
- 48:50Speaker 1: we realize that Kelso really misses his job, missus being
- 48:54Speaker 1: in the hospital, and we learned that Cox relents and
- 48:58Speaker 1: awards the position.
- 49:01Speaker 2: And the janitor awards Turk with the hat.
- 49:06Speaker 1: Oh is that a tag?
- 49:07Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 49:08Speaker 1: Oh I missed the tag.
- 49:09Speaker 2: And Turk likes the hat, and the Janitor's pissed because
- 49:13Speaker 2: now the janitor the janitor was trying to make him
- 49:15Speaker 2: feel stupid.
- 49:16Speaker 1: Oh I missed the tag. I forgot. I always forget
- 49:18Speaker 1: that this season as those tags, I forgot to watch it.
- 49:23Speaker 2: Yeah, So he gives him the hat, he puts it on,
- 49:28Speaker 2: decides he likes it, and now the janitor regrets giving
- 49:32Speaker 2: him the hat because the janitor likes the hat too.
- 49:38Speaker 1: And then the big dug dundn that we know is
- 49:40Speaker 1: going to set up the finale of season eight, the
- 49:43Speaker 1: true finale of the TV show Scrubs is JD feeling
- 49:47Speaker 1: like he's only a part time father and that he's
- 49:50Speaker 1: going to miss too much of his son's life. And
- 49:52Speaker 1: he says, I think I'm gonna move here, meaning where
- 49:55Speaker 1: Kim lives.
- 49:56Speaker 7: Undone don question if the show does take place in
- 50:00Speaker 7: southern California, I think there's are the thirty seven minutes apart.
- 50:06Speaker 7: Does this require a giant move?
- 50:09Speaker 2: Well, it depends on your I would say thirty seven
- 50:13Speaker 2: minutes apart without traffic. So yeah, in the morning after work,
- 50:19Speaker 2: you don't want to necessarily travel thirty seven minutes to
- 50:21Speaker 2: get home from the hospital.
- 50:23Speaker 1: I just think of towns. Okay, just let's just talk
- 50:25Speaker 1: about the cities a right. Let's say let's say that
- 50:28Speaker 1: she lives in Santa Monica.
- 50:30Speaker 2: No, I would say she lives in like I would
- 50:32Speaker 2: say she lives in like Huntington.
- 50:34Speaker 1: Okay, let's say she lives in Huntington Beach and he
- 50:38Speaker 1: works in West Hollywood or the Valley, the Valley, the Valley.
- 50:44Speaker 1: That's far.
- 50:45Speaker 2: That's a good track.
- 50:46Speaker 1: That's to go get your kid. What, Dawn, You don't think?
- 50:48Speaker 3: So that's not that bad.
- 50:50Speaker 1: I mean, I know a lot of people have it worse.
- 50:52Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a trek, that's a trick, but it's not
- 50:54Speaker 3: you know, we're not talking La to San Diego.
- 50:57Speaker 1: No.
- 50:58Speaker 2: No, And I know a lot if he wants to
- 51:00Speaker 2: spend more time, for.
- 51:01Speaker 1: Sure, I know that a lot of people listening, have
- 51:03Speaker 1: it a whole lot worse than that. I'm just saying,
- 51:05Speaker 1: this is a guy who's going, who's going, don't. I
- 51:08Speaker 1: don't want this. I want to choose something different.
- 51:11Speaker 3: Totally.
- 51:12Speaker 1: Well anyway, funny episode.
- 51:14Speaker 2: Very funny. It's sad though, because it's coming to an end,
- 51:18Speaker 2: and it feels like it's coming to an end now too,
- 51:20Speaker 2: Like you can feel the the traps being laid for
- 51:24Speaker 2: all of us to cry in the final five minutes
- 51:28Speaker 2: of the show being they're being set now.
- 51:31Speaker 1: Absolutely what else?
- 51:33Speaker 7: Joelle thoughts, Uh, yeah, great episode. Really appreciate the way
- 51:40Speaker 7: they were trying to bring season eight two clothes. But
- 51:43Speaker 7: I gotta be honest, I know this is the spiritual
- 51:46Speaker 7: end of the show, but I'm really excited to like
- 51:47Speaker 7: explore like what didn't didn't work in season nine, and like, have.
