The government just rolled out mandatory new safety standards for LPG cylinders and regulators — a major move to protect users. Two national standards, GYS 264 for cylinders and GYS 523 for regulators, now require all products to meet strict safety, durability, and labeling rules. Cylinders must include pressure relief devices, be clearly marked with specs and dates, and can’t have dents or corrosion.
