  [upbeat music] Hello. Hello. Hi.
• 0:18
That's the Full Spectrum Cycling Show, number 101. Depressomode. I am just not in a good mood today. Oh. [laughs] Oh. [laughs] And we're off and running. Yeah. [laughs] Try, talk me down- We're off and running...
• 0:33
talk me down from the ledge. [laughs] Damn, is the volume up? Huh? Is the volume up? What volume? Did you push the button? Is the button pushed? I pushed the button. I don't know.
• 0:43
I'm, I'm deaf in m- my right ear, so everything is... I'm, if, if I start leaning my head like this, it's not like I'm quizzical. [laughs] Did you try, like, shaking the opposite foot?
• 0:53
How does that thing- Yes, and holding- I hear that-... my nose and going, "Ee." I hear that works. Yeah. And hopefully just blasting it out somehow. But- Yeah, I know. That's just, that sucks. Ah, yeah.
• 1:02
But the thing is, good weather is on the horizon, and that is making me giddy and almost frantic. That was 50 degrees earlier this week. Yeah. Yeah. I know. I was just like, "Eh, not really." It was really 50? Yeah.
• 1:17
It nudged. Oh, I had no- Yeah, yeah. Oh, wow. Oh. Oh, yeah, it was 50. Well, down in your basement- Dungeon... office, you don't- Yeah. It's always 50 down there, isn't it?
• 1:25
Pretty much, but 50 doesn't feel good when it's 50 in your, in your dungeon. [laughs] Well, it m- it, it afforded the opportunity to go to Port Washington three times this last week. There you go.
• 1:38
Yeah, those pictures were pretty fabulous. And the earlier two were good because it was enough warmth to still pack it down and whatnot.
• 1:51
The last one was, it was okay, but it was starting to get really mushy at 50 degrees. Oh, yeah, yeah. I can imagine, mushy.
• 1:58
How much of it was beach and how much of it was frozen ice that allow you to ride on it without going into the water? All frozen ice. Re- the whole thing. Yeah. That's what I thought. Yeah.
• 2:06
And the points where you couldn't get past is where there were big crevasses and such. Would've required more effort than it was worth, I think. [laughs] Did Sam McMahon join you? Sam joined me one day. Yeah.
• 2:19
Um- Puck, of course, for his birthday. Puck didn't jump on a glacier that, like fell off and- No. [laughs]... went into the damn lake again. Jesus, that was like the best damn video I [laughs] was an audience to.
• 2:29
Can pull that one back up some- Yeah. [laughs]... some. Oh, shit. [laughs] Uh, Friday was s- I'd went with him, then Sunday with Sam, and Tuesday with, uh, several people actually. Maury. [laughs] Steve.
• 2:42
Steve and, uh, Jared from up there, and Mike from Port Washington, and- Nice... uh, Zito. Get it while you can, right? Yeah.
• 2:51
Yeah, I'm not sure what we're gonna get back for beach 'cause, uh, the wa- the water's still really high. Yeah. But hopefully we- By the last snow it's gonna melt and join back in there again. Yeah.
• 3:00
Well, I'm, I'm hoping the next couple days it's colder at night, so maybe it'll set it up again. Yeah. It's not bad.
• 3:07
If you go in the morning, I guess, probably would've been better than mid-afternoon when it was already warm all day long. Sure. But that makes for a nice ride, too. Right? Yeah, it was all, all in all, good thing. Yeah.
• 3:17
Rode the Wyatt. It's all about the crack, man. Wyatt Maverick. All about the crack. It's the ride, man. Nice, nice. Rode well? Yeah. Yeah? It does. Yeah? Um, and sans studs.
• 3:29
The only day where that would've been nice to have was the first day when it was real- Still really, really cold... really cold.
• 3:36
And, um, there was plenty of places to ride that did not require studs, but they would've certainly given more options. Right. They always do. But all good stuff. Yeah. What about you guys?
• 3:50
Did you g- do some riding this last week? Mm? You mean to my house, work, and my house, and back home? Yeah, did that quite a bit. [laughs] Oh, well. [laughs] I went down to Rushmore 'cause they had, uh- Nice...
• 4:04
there was a call out for, I don't know, Bill shoots, uh, cryptic messages in this group text I'm in [laughs] at times where I'm like, "What is he talking about?
• 4:16
He wants people to come out there and start dancing like Soul Train, you know, spotlight dance line style?" Okay. For... And, and I'm like, "Oh." I don't know. And- It was for some video project. Yes. Yeah.
• 4:28
It's for, uh, um, Wuckfinster through Ray's Wine & Liquor. Oh. That normally is a, like, block party, which they're not gonna do. I see. But they're gonna try to do a remotey in the spirit of and- Right, right...
• 4:43
uh, Bill and Dan normally DJ the event and- Cool... so this is getting all pieces together. It was very weird. I thought there'd be like 20 people. No, three. Oh. [laughs] Oh, no. I was thinking like weird.
• 4:55
So yeah, there was a hell of a lot of pressure on spastic das- dance moves which should be available, and we may put this in the show notes. Oh. Link to, it's the Ray's, uh, YouTube channel. Album. I don't know.
• 5:09
I don't know. Hopefully there's, the guy seems to be a pro at editing, [laughs] and I'm really hoping so 'cause I know the, the master tape on this one was- Rough? Yeah. Well, it got to a point, I, I'm not that young.
• 5:23
I mean, I may be younger, but I'm not young. [laughs] And that's exhausting dancing outside in the cold with a mask on that you- Well-... to the same song which is, uh- Wow... Stereo MC's Connected. For 14 hours, right?
• 5:39
You did this for like 14 hours? It felt like it. Yeah. It felt like it. I had to set a tab- Did you win a truck at the end of it? I had a, no, I got, I got one, uh, one bottle of the, uh, Wuckfinster, uh, release beer.
• 5:50
Nice. Was it okay? Or did you not- I haven't, I haven't cracked it yet. All right. I think I'll crack it when the event actually occurs or virtually occurs. There you go. But it's an Imperial IPA. Yeah?
• 6:00
It's, it's a 12 percenter. Oh. You know? So it's one of Tim's beers. It, it's your wine replacement. I, yeah, [laughs] exactly.
• 6:06
I'm not, I, I am gonna once again, I know we bring this up fairly often, I'm calling Tim out... as a complete liar.
• 6:13
[laughs] I am limiting myself from this day, well, from y- last Saturday forward, that I will only have three of his beers. And a Hamm's.
• 6:22
Hamm's- And, and it may be a Hamm's, but- See, the Ham- the Hamm's belies the baseline... holy- He'll say that that, you know, "Eh, da, da, da" You know, I'm sorry, but holy shit.
• 6:31
I mean, I was, I think I was in bed Saturday at 8:00. That was a, a, that was a long day.
• 6:37
It was, you know, I worked on the house, and then I was meeting you guys there, and the next thing you know I've had four or five of those things and I'm dumb.
• 6:44
[laughs] Like, I mean, I had to walk the dog home and I'm like, "I'm sorry, dog. I'm..." Like, "Daddy's drunk." [laughs] Let me just walk you around the room.
• 6:52
[laughs] I, I literally am like, I- If you pee, I'll take the blame... he lies about his alcohol content, [laughs] 'cause those things- I'm sorry, I got spun around and I couldn't find- And-...
• 7:00
the bathroom and I just peed... Sam, Sam's a 300-pound human, and he's like, "Yeah, I, I gotta, I gotta limit myself [laughs] there." Yeah. That's, it's a nice place to sit around- That's fair... 'cause it's- Yeah...
• 7:09
you know, it's kind of, it's easy to socially distance in there. Speak- speaking of Sam, Thursday was his birthday, so happy birthday, Sam. Happy birthday to you. Going to, he went to- Oh, speaking of that place...
• 7:19
he loved the Korbers and- Oh, yeah... had a, had, yeah, as, as- With great relish. [laughs] Well, Sam and I have a lot of very strong opinions about things, especially food.
• 7:29
And when you go to Korbers, you only order one thing. Better be a steak. It better have the damn relish on it. Well, it, it, it's the type of steak that you need to order. It's a filet mignon, Mo.
• 7:38
[laughs] I mean, 'cause their filet is unbelievable. Hmm. You don't need a knife. Just look at it. You just fork it. [laughs] You're like, "Oh, yeah." I will you- Oh, yeah... to fall.
• 7:51
I'd, I'd, I'd stack up the bone-in filet at, um, Milwaukee Steak House too. That one is really good. That's a good one too? Oh, yeah. It's like that. It's like butter. Um, I've had a good one at Mr.
• 8:01
B's out at, uh, out in Brookfield too, so. Yeah, but they like to charge you out there. Well, and Korbers doesn't. [laughs] Well, yeah, yeah, yeah. Korbers, I mean, come on. I remember- But you get what you pay for.
• 8:11
Yeah. Yeah. It's in- I, I remember-... ambiance alone... I got a, um, back in radio nostalgia days, after Summerfest or whatever, my boss was like, "I'm gonna take you guy- two guys out to Korbers.
• 8:26
You know, you guys did a hell of a lot of good j- you know, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah." So [laughs] we get there and he just, like, puts his finger up and he's like, "I'm ordering for both of you."
• 8:37
[laughs] He's like, "I don't want you fucking this up for me." [laughs] He's like the, you know, this is, you know, da, da, da, da.
• 8:43
"If e- either of you ask for fucking steak sauce or ketchup, forbid," you know, da, da, da. He's like telling me all the things I don't, wouldn't have done, let alone...
• 8:53
But, you know, oh, thanks for throwing some- Yeah... kibbling on a weird... Like, why would somebody- No. Oh. [laughs] You're, uh, you're- Except Pat Mahomes...
• 9:02
your, your ex-former, uh, chief of, uh, the United States there, he likes his steak well done. Of course. And probably with ketchup. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And A1. Yeah. Kind of mixed together. Oh, God. You- Well, yeah.
• 9:15
Oh, yeah. You have to use the ketchup to try to, um, reconstitute the thing that you destroyed- Just, just by overcooking it... by design, by r- your own request. You're trying to revive something you killed. Killed it.
• 9:28
Twice. Dead. Yeah. The f- [laughs] Like it already died once for your taste buds. You don't have to slay it again. All right, now I'm moving off my soapbox. [laughs] Yeah, that's a line of aggression there, but- Right?
• 9:42
This is what happens when we don't have any show notes. I guess. Yes. We just have fun talking. Nothing. Stretch. I like this. Stretch. They're just so wise and happy. How's the, uh, new, uh, space coming?
• 9:51
The new space is, uh, uh, well, Steve was on vacation last week, so it's hard to get anything done when he's not around. He was on a pause. Um, so it is basically nothing has happened since last week. Right on. Um,
• 10:05
still, you know- In due time... plenty of stuff to do at the shop and plenty of stuff to do on the web. It's tax time. Gotta get that stuff ready to go. Yep.
• 10:11
But aren't we supposed to wait to see if we get the stimulus thing? Because that would maybe impact something, something, some- I don't know.
• 10:20
I always file an extension and don't get it done till August anyway, so- Fair enough... I, you know, I'm not- I wait till the last minute. Well, just getting ducks in a row. Yeah. I'm not- I get you.
• 10:26
I give mine to the accountant, 'cause I'm lazy. Yeah. Well, I have to collect everything up to give to the accountant still. I'm pretty close to that. In theory, this place is supposed to be completely inventoried.
• 10:38
I'm relying on the- Oh, it is. I see the tag... I'm re- I'm relying- I see the tag and the tag and the tag and the tag... on the computer to know what's in here. Right. So for the most part it's in, it's pretty good.
• 10:45
Yeah. Um- I, I, I used to, I used to work in a mall, man. [laughs] Physical- Remember that?... inventory must be done.
• 10:51
It was like, oh, we, we, yeah, we must close early at 8:00 because you have to do inventory from 8:00 PM till midnight, 1:00, which was cool at Southridge at that time. Southridge. Yeah, man. Suburban boy. Yeah.
• 11:05
That's still there? Southridge is still there? Oh, yeah. The footprint. Yeah. Yeah. And yeah, and shit's going on in there. Oh. I mean, not like, oh, yeah, the mall life, but- Yeah... it's- I'm thinking that-...
• 11:15
very interesting to go through that place at times. Ah. It, it's weird. I haven't been there in years. Well, yeah, 'cause they do a social distance capacity- I think I've been there once... yada, yada, yada.
• 11:27
People are waiting in line to go to Victoria's Secret, whereas Spencer Gifts just let them on through. I'm still waiting in line to go to Victoria's Secret. [laughs] I'm, I'm going to, uh- [bell dinging] Oh, yes.
• 11:40
Oh, thank you, Greg. Hit the top of the hill, but that means I have to go get another beer now. We'll talk amongst ourselves then I guess. Yes. I'll have one of these while you- I, I would have one of these. Right on.
• 11:48
Right on. Uh-huh. It, it's, uh, clear the fridge out beer day here. Leftovers. So we, the show is- We have plenty of leftovers in there... sponsored by those of us that bought beer to sponsor the show.
• 11:57
We got some Oscar Blues, the Good Night- Good Night... Good Night. From Blackusk. Yes. The Good Night. This is dangerous shit. Well, not e- really. 8.7, as we're talking about 11s and 12s.
• 12:08
Well, I don't know what he, he claims, I'm gonna tell you right now, he says this is 6.8. I think anything over 8... I think, yeah. We- So probably 8.6. I, you know, maybe he has his, maybe he's dyslexic. Yeah.
• 12:20
Maybe, maybe. That's what I'm going with.
• 12:21
Maybe that's what this whole thing is, is Tim is dyslexic and it's actually an 8.6 beer Exactly 'cause this is a f- absolutely fantastic- And even if he's not, it's good- It's-... a good line for him...
• 12:32
I, yeah Or, like, jingling the keys. Okay, and whatever. Are you having a good time? Okay, then fine. All right I- As I saw, they have a very robust fire situation going- Did, did- I just noticed...
• 12:46
did it, is it lit now? Yeah, I think so. Oh, it- Yeah, it was like- Yeah, they, they were- Yeah, yeah... oh. It- I was out for a smoke and I was like- I'll be right back... yeah. [laughs] Look, a blue car.
• 12:58
I jingled keys, everybody. [laughs] I jingled the keys. [laughs] Tony doesn't- Shit, you gotta see this. [laughs] Hey. Is it bigger than it wa- Wait, where's my phone? What- Is it bigger than a bread box?
• 13:11
You gotta see this Yeah, I'll tell you. [laughs] Is it, does it look like it's all on fire? It looked- I- It looked like the, it was this, and I ho- I, unless they, unless the place is on fire, [laughs]
• 13:28
won't we sound, mm. Well, I've s- I saw them installing it- Well, I just saw people-... maybe-... standing around it...
• 13:34
before Christmas I was like, I'm like, "Oh, okay, whatever," and then went out for a puff, and then I'm like, all right, and no, yeah, it looks like a long whatever.
• 13:43
I don't know a- at all what it's supposed to be or doing, but except fire. It's supposed to keep you warm when you can't go inside. Well, I don't know if it's- I don't know... is it gas or is it a- Yeah, it's gas.
• 13:51
I think they were putting in- Okay... putting in a line. Uh, yeah, okay. So- Hey... fire as fire is. Hey, welcome to the radio program, caller. Who do we have on the line? Big Sexy.
• 14:10
[laughs] There's Big Sexy. I was wondering if somebody was gonna call- How y'all doing, man? Big Sexy. Big- Big Sexy... I was wondering if somebody was gonna call and save the show. [laughs] H- how, how y'all doing?
• 14:25
Uh, doing well. It's, uh, you know, warming up up here a little bit, and got some beach riding in- Well-... on the snow the other day, and having a beer right now and talking to you on the phone...
• 14:36
I'll, I'll, I'll, I'm, I'm sorry, and I am totally trying to rub it in,
• 14:43
but I'm on Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and I'm at the Holiday Inn, and there's a little lazy river and a hot tub, and I can see the beach from here, and it's been 70 and wonderful ever since I crossed into Florida.
• 15:01
You already are on the, on the road on the, on Heather? Yep. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Heather's up in the room. She's chilling. Nice. So when did you- Um- When did you start? I st-
• 15:15
I, well, uh, okay, okay, so I, I've got, I've got my Facebook page, uh, Heather the Tricycle on Facebook, and I've, I've got the Mapbox app, and I've been trying to really accurately,
• 15:32
uh, depict what I've, what I, w- w- what I, where I'm actually, when I'm actually riding, not just the cities that I'm going to. And with the Mapbox app, it's a little difficult because
• 15:47
it wouldn't let me, it wouldn't let me just ride through Mobile, Alabama. It m- wanted me to, like, take this ferry and go, like- To Greenbow?...
• 15:59
go, like, completely skip Mobile and ride this ferry and just ride the beaches the whole way, which would've been awesome, but the ferry was, like, $25 or something like that. I can't, I, I'm like, "I can't do that."
• 16:14
That's highway robbery. So I had to go through- But what if you clap your hands? [claps] Well, the, the thing, the thing is, is I had to lie and say I went all the way around Mobile
• 16:28
when I actually got a ride across Mobile and across all that water- In, automobile?... and I got dropped off right by the Florida border, and i- i- by a friend of mine. And I'll tell you what, I, I'm not, I'm not shy.
• 16:46
Yeah, I cheated. I got a ride. I don't care. [laughs] Y'all try to go across that- [laughs]... Mobile Bay on your bike and with- without, without a ride and all that water. Yeah, go ahead. Nope. Nope.
• 17:01
You, you go ahead and try it. It's doable, but it sucks. I, I don't, I... No, I ain't gonna do that. [laughs] In age- Well, I'll tell you what- In age comes wisdom... Florida, Florida, Florida is so awesome.
• 17:15
There's, uh, bike lanes. There's bike lanes- Well, that's just because-... and people respect-... old people can't figure it out... the bike lane. Respect. Respect... people respect the bike lane in Florida.
• 17:28
Like, they- We have to chop... oh, shit. Like, I've had people, like, slam on their brakes because I was in the bike lane. They're like, "Oh, shit, there's somebody in the bike lane. Er." Like, dude, don't run me over.
• 17:37
Yeah, it's not the right passing lane. Ooh. Like, we got a little bit of that. Like, oh, my God. Florida, I mean, I, I, I don't, I... You can knock it all you want, but Florida is awesome.
• 17:56
And I've been on the Gulf Coast, um,
• 18:00
uh, uh, Pensacola Beach, uh, they, they had, uh, Hurricane Sally last summer, um, and the hurricane, like, uh, snapped loose a couple of barges, and one of the barges slammed into the, the bridge to Pensacola Beach.
• 18:18
And so I had to go, like, uh, 26 miles up and around to get there. Lord... but I still got there. It is, it's great. Now I'm at, I'm at Fort Walton/Destin right now- I grabbed myself a room.
• 18:34
I'm sp- I'm splurging myself tonight Nice. Not Budgetel. I used to work for Budgetel and we had a- Yeah, whatever... Florida. We had a Destin- Um... we had a Destin location. [laughs] It just was total- Yeah...
• 18:46
  throwback to me. I'll, I'll tell you what, man. I, it's, it's just, it's, it's, it's like this. It's like, it's like this. I, I'm, I'm gonna
• 19:01
kinda hang in Florida until spring is in full swing, and then I'm gonna head up the East Coast and I'm gonna do what I'm gonna do. Nice. Right on. Right on. Nice. So what- And-...
• 19:12
what is this app you're using to, uh, track your riding? Yeah, 'cause I need a damn new one. Ma- Maplocks. Maplocks. M-A-P-L-O-C-S. Okay. Right on.
• 19:24
And, and, and for some reason it wouldn't, it wouldn't let me just skip Mobile, so I had to, I had to lie and say I went this way, and this way, and that way. But, um- Maybe its headquarters is in Mobile...
• 19:39
well, I'll tell you what. [laughs] Maybe. Um- It's Area 52... but I'll, I'll te- I'll tell you what, uh, um, I'm on the Gulf Coast, and I'm gonna be on the Gulf Coast until I can't be on the Gulf Coast anymore, and then
• 19:58
I'm going to the East Coast, and then I'm heading up it. A- a- I mean, you know, it is... It's like been there, done that, but at the same time I now, now I have learned my lesson, you know?
• 20:16
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. And I know where not to go, and I know where to go. Yeah, exactly. It's like an old friend. Right. Sex is with exes, man. [laughs] Yeah.
• 20:28
Well, and, um, uh, but the weird thing is, the weird thing is starting in Slidell, Louisiana, and then, uh, Biloxi and,
• 20:39
uh, Biloxi, Bi- Biloxi, and, uh, Pascagoula, and Mobile, like there's four Walmarts in a row that didn't have inner tubes. They, they, they didn't have, um,
• 20:56
they didn't have the, um, the, the tire tubes. They didn't, they didn't have the 26-inch tire tubes. That's- Huh... kinda like the whole bike industry- Yeah... doesn't have parts these days. Oh, true. Right.
• 21:07
So, so I'm, I'm ri- I'm riding without backup. I'm like, "If I get a flat tire, I'm fucking screwed." But then I finally found, um,
• 21:19
uh, right i- right, right in Pensacola, uh, a Walmart that had inner tubes, and I'm like, "Yay." I bought a couple inner tubes, so now I'm not gonna have a flat tire for the rest of the time.
• 21:32
You know how to patch a kit, right, though? You gotta let- Well- You got all those spare tubes. T- keep a couple and use them to patch- Right. Well, I-... some of the other ones, man. You'll get there. Well,
• 21:45
well, I'll, I'll tell you what, when I first started this journey I, I was like, I was like, "Well, if I get a flat tire, I'll get a flat tire. I'll fix it when I, w- w- when it happens, I'll, I'll, I'll figure it out."
• 21:57
But now I'm like, "Oh my God, I don't, I don't have a spare inner tube. If I pop a flat, I'm screwed." It, it, it, it, it, it, it changes you. It changes the way you think about shit. Sure.
• 22:10
I get, yeah, I could wrap my head around that. It's not like you can, like, just strap leather- But now I, now I've got tubes... to the back of a car, you know? Make up. Now, now I've got, now I've got inner tubes.
• 22:19
Even that. So, uh, yeah, come on, Florida, show me what you got, bitch. [laughs] Cool. Well, it's good to hear- Yeah... good to hear from you. There, there's so many,
• 22:31
there's so many bridges in Florida, and y- we all know there's always glass on a bridge. [laughs] Have you ever noticed that? When you go across the bridge, there's always glass. Never- There's always glass-...
• 22:43
actually paid attention... on a bridge. Gonna have to keep my eye out for that. I just know of a- It's like so- somebody's drinking a, drinking a beer out of a glass bottle and is like, "Oh, yeah, we're on a bridge."
• 22:55
[imitates glass shattering] [laughs] Big Sexy, I have a question on this one. I, I know, uh, you haven't gone- Go ahead... the, the, uh, Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Have you? Oh, God, one more time. I'm sorry.
• 23:09
I didn't hear you. The Bay Bridge. The Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Oh, the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Yep. I've, um, I have paid $35 to get driven across that bridge. Driven? [laughs] Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, on. Right on.
• 23:25
No, I was just curious, 'cause I mean, I've, I have family out in the area, and I just, and I, uh, have people that are just, like, terrified of it in a vehicle. But I have- Well-...
• 23:37
a feeling going at a nice, you know, cool pace it would be not as intimidating. Well, well, well, see, see, originally I, I wanted, I wanted to ride across it. Mm-hmm. I was like, "I'm gonna ride across it."
• 23:50
And then I got up to it, and they're like, "You cannot ride, you cannot ride your bike across this bridge." I'm like, "Okay." Oh, they had no- And they gave me- Okay... the number to this dude.
• 24:00
They gave me the number to this, to this dude that makes a living, he makes a living- Oh, ferry... off of people who are afraid to drive their cars over the bridge. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 24:12
So- I just read something about that. Yeah... so, so what, what he does is he pulls his truck up, his wife jumps out of the truck- [laughs]...
• 24:19
jumps into the car with, with the person who owns the car in the passenger seat. She drives him over the bridge- [laughs]... and he follows, picks her up, and does the th- same thing back. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 24:32
I, I would insult them all the way across. Oh, no. He flew, he flew- Apparently it, it, I mean- He flew, he flew
• 24:39
He threw Heather, Heather in the back of the truck and charged me 35 bucks and said, "Hey, have a good time." Yeah, sure. Oh, that's money well spent. Yeah. Oh, yeah. For sure.
• 24:48
I mean, the toll alone is 18 bucks, so- I'm, I'm, I'm gonna, I'm gonna use him again. Hell yeah. 'Cause guess what? 'Cause guess what? It's either go through Baltimore or- Baltim-snore...
• 25:02
pay this guy 35 bucks to get me over that bridge. Diggy, diggy, diggy. Guess, guess what I'm choosing. [laughs] I'm, I'm gonna pay him to get me around Baltimore. That's quite the long bridge. What is it?
• 25:16
20 mi- it's not 20 miles, but- Oh, man, it's like-... it's long No, it, but it, like- It's like 500- But it goes up... w- when we, w- when we got, when we got up on the, the, the height of the bridge- Yeah... I was like,
• 25:30
I was looking out the window, I'm like, "Oh, my God, I'm so glad I didn't ride over this bridge- Yeah, yeah... because I was- 'Cause the rails- It was like five- Yeah, the rails are only, like, two foot high...
• 25:38
it's like 500 feet in the air. Yeah, and, like, two-foot high- Like the, the-... boring- The highest rollercoaster, the highest rollercoaster, uh, uh, hill you've ever been on- [laughs]... times that by two. Yeah.
• 25:51
I've heard, like, so many people- It is like-... just, like, having, like, like, panic attacks and, you know, just going like- Yeah... "Thank God I wasn't driving.
• 25:59
I don't know w- how the person was, you know, 'cause I was just having a fit." Doesn't it, it goes under the bay, too, at some point, right? It did, it, yeah. Yeah, I believe so, yeah.
• 26:07
But yeah, I'm, I'm, I'm completely, I'm completely planning on paying that guy $35 to get me over that bridge again. Yeah, I do the, I do the one by, uh, Norfolk- It's-... in, uh, Virginia Beach, but that's flat.
• 26:20
It's flat. I mean, there's, like, a lot of expanse, and you can kinda freak out that, like, okay, if I went off- Right. No, no, no. No, this is like, woo. The, the, the Chesapeake,
• 26:29
the Chesapeake Bay Bridge is, like, is, like, 600 feet- I know, that's like, uh-... in the air. Yeah, I, uh, yeah. I kinda, I kinda wanna do it. It, it, yeah. Wanna do it. So- I wanna do it...
• 26:41
well, I'll, and I'll tell, I'll tell you what, I'm, I am planning on taking that, uh, taking that boat from Muskegon to Milwaukee. Nice. Right. Oh, yeah. That's- We, we were just, uh-... that's progress...
• 26:53
Puck and I- And-... uh, your buddy Dave here- And yeah... in Milwaukee, we were just talking about coming over there and meeting you somewhere and riding back with you and escorting you into our fair state.
• 27:03
Dave, Dave who? Lunds. I'm, I'm, I'm kid- Puck... I'm, I, I'm kid- Puck. Yeah, we went, we, we did a beach ride on his birthday, which was, uh, last week- Yeah... or Friday or some such. Yep. Doesn't matter.
• 27:16
His name's Davy. No, I, no, it, it, it's- He likes his fries with gravy. It... Oh, is he there? Nope- No... he's not here today. No, it's, it's- No, it was just my awesome impersonation... it, it, it, but yeah.
• 27:28
No, yeah, no, um, I'm gonna, um, once I vi- I, I gotta visit my aunt in Battle Creek, and then I'll, I'll know a little bit more about what time I'm gonna be in that area. But yeah, oh, it sounds great.
• 27:41
I wo- I would love to ride with a bunch of people, man. That'd be fun. But y'all, y'all are gonna be pissed. Y'all are gonna be pissed. I go slow. That's all right. I'm old. I go slow, too, now.
• 27:50
I can just drink more beer. Yeah, there we go. [laughs] All right, Big Sexy, we're gonna wrap this puppy up for another week, and, uh, thanks for the update. Let us know when you- Rock and roll, man. Hey,
• 28:02
um, uh, you can always check out Heather the Tricycle on Facebook. Um, and, uh, 'cause I, 'cause I'm keeping it pretty accurate on Heather the Tricycle on Facebook. But, um, you know, my Facebook page, and, uh,
• 28:17
yeah, you can always send me a PayPal or a Venmo. It'd be super appreciated, but it w- no big whoop. Right on. I got- We're making it...
• 28:24
I actually put your, uh, Venmo and your PayPal links in the show notes so people can go to the webpage there and see 'em if they need to figure those out. Yeah, that, that'd be sweet.
• 28:33
And, and, and I'll tell you what, any- like I said, like, like my sign says, anything helps, but it's not, uh, uh, I'm not, like, I'm not desperate or not, I'm not dying.
• 28:45
I'm sitting at a fucking Holiday Inn Resort on the beach right now, and it, it's- [laughs] Yeah, maybe, maybe I shouldn't have spent my money that way, but, uh, but, hey, I'm treating myself right now.
• 28:56
It's all- That's all it is to it. Right on. Well, do they have the hot tub with the jets that hit the, like, lower lumbar? Yeah, yeah, then you gotta re- yeah, yeah. It's, uh, 36 here, Big Sexy. Right. All right, man.
• 29:09
It's good to talk to you. Cool, man. Well, it was nice talking to you guys. I'll, uh, I'll- Take it easy... probably call you next week. Right on. Yeah. Okay. Let you know where I'm at. Right on. Bye.
• 29:18
All right, see you guys soon. Peace. Big Sexy. Big Sexy. In Florida. Just finding peace. Kinda wish I was in Florida now that- Yeah... he's talking about Florida... he's, he's painting a very rosy picture.
• 29:30
It's, it's- And I, and I, and I know, I mean, situationally, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, and I guess, and I guess, I- I actually linked a coworker today who sent me an email saying, or a message saying, "You're gonna be really mad at what I just bought."
• 29:43
And she sent me a link to the Schwinn Meridian tricycle, and I'm like, "Oh, wait."
• 29:48
So I looked up the links to Big Sexy in the notes and sent them to her and said, "Check out the map this guy's done on his Schwinn Meridian tricycle." The one thing- Oh, boy...
• 30:00
I have to say about Schwinn Meridian tricycles, I am glad he got the newer model because the one we turned into a fat bike- Oh, yeah, don't send that... mm-mm, not so good. Oh, that was the bouncy bounce?
• 30:09
Yeah, that was the one that bent in half. [laughs] It, it, it- I don't know if they're any better. No, it, it had a, it has a strengthening now.
• 30:15
I do recall, I do recall that initial bentery where- We, yeah, were you there when we tested that out? Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah. When, uh- It was like, rrr... when Gary's like, "I know. I'm, I'm trying to lose some weight."
• 30:27
Well, he's more svelte now. Oh, hell yeah. He, but I mean, even at, well, at that time, he was a little more robust, and- And that's, he's back to-...
• 30:35
but, but just conscious of it, and when, and he was like, "I'm not, hey, well, I t- I mean, I'm not that big." [laughs] You know? [laughs] "Not enough to bend a damn frame, dude." I- Yeah...
• 30:44
I do throw one more speaking of svelte comments in there is, you know- Been riding Fatburger a lot more since it's been cold and s- deep in snow. And, uh, I know I give a lot of shit to carpet fiber,
• 30:59
but my whiskey carpet fiber seat post- Now-... actually does really take a lot of the city riding out of a- Is that, is that a thing we dig? Out of my crotch. Is that a thing we dig statement?
• 31:13
It might be a thing I dig right now. Things we dig. Well, because I got a really good deal on it, but I mean, that helps, but- And probably that it's a 27 too instead of a bigger, a round one too- Right...
• 31:21
helps it be a little more- So I think it helps with flex and stuff. Yeah. It literally m- it, it, I mean, that's... I think I posted this week that I've had that bike for, like, nine years. Oh, so you spaced the posts?
• 31:31
Amazing. Hey, you know what I still have here? Yeah. I still have your, uh, head- Yeah [laughs]... head badge. I still have your watch. Head badge right here. Yeah. Oh. Mm-hmm.
• 31:37
And I have, yeah, Fatburger North Paw number one. And- Just gotta get a mandrel to shrink it down... we can put it... Something. Something. And yeah, I mean, it's- A little something something...
• 31:46
you know, but- But not, I'm not giving it up... that post is- I just like looking at it... pretty comfy. I will say that. This is, this is the truth. I have that on the Maverick. I got a whiskey post.
• 31:56
Oh, no, that one has the dropper. The whiskey's on the, uh, the Chumba. You're dangerous, Maverick. Okay, here's a final thought on dropper posts. That's right, ice. Oh. Man.
• 32:06
They kick ass on a fat bike on the beach because when your feet go down a foot into the snow, and you wanna get back on your bike- Dropper posts... dropper post, baby. All right.
• 32:16
Push that thing down, get back- You've justified a dropper post too [laughs]... get back on your bike. That's- And then you leave it low. Yeah, then you don't become a turtle. So you can get out of the snow.
• 32:24
Well, you leave it low so you're lower to the ground- Uh-huh... and your center of gravity's lower, so when you're riding on that weird sketchy stuff, you're kinda like low to the ground, man. Low, low.
• 32:34
It's, it's, it's awesome. No, no, we're not gonna do a Carter commercial, goddammit. [laughs] It's stuck in my head. Dropper post, folks. I actually was listening to- I, I really never thought of it on a fat bike.
• 32:42
Why do you need one? Why do they have a point? You've just justified why you need one [laughs] But now I know. And why it works. Now I know. Yes. Exactly.
• 32:48
Especially trail riding where, like, Dave last week was talking about steep and deep, or two weeks ago. Steep. Where if you, if you wiped out, I mean, that's a great reason to have a dropper post.
• 32:58
[laughs] Yeah, for sure. Yeah, I mean, there were spots out there on the port beach that were- Mm-hmm... easily over a foot deep if you got off the crustiness. Oh, shit. Whoa.
• 33:06
So then you're down- That's where, uh, yeah, that's where I would- Yeah. Or you, like, tip over-... totally-... and you're like... [blows raspberry] Yeah. [laughs] And turtle, turtle, turtle. Turtle. Yep, yep, yep.
• 33:13
All right. Well, there you go, folks. You got something useful at the end of the show. Hey. Dropper post, baby. Dropper post, baby. Next week for y'all. Yeah. Next week. It'll be March and warm.
• 33:24
  [upbeat music]
