Fix50 Highway Finally Closing | Sacramento News
After six years of construction, Sacramento’s Fix50 highway project is finally nearing completion — bringing much-needed upgrades from I-5 to Watt Avenue. While drivers have been frustrated by the long haul, Caltrans explains the timeline was based on working days, not a fixed deadline. New features include widened shoulders, an HOV lane, and taller median barriers aimed at reducing accidents and easing traffic.
