Decoding the FUTURE: A Data-Driven Approach to Predict 2025 SILVER Prices · SILVER / GOLD / $UFD: Surviving Global Economic Shifts | RONS BASEMENT

The silver price on March 15th of 2024.
• 0:05
Wouldn't you like to know one year from now what will the
• 0:09
silver price be? We need your help.
• 0:13
We want you to be part of this because today we have a special
• 0:17
treat and you're going to be shocked What you learn about the
• 0:21
ability to predict the silver price one year out.
• 0:26
Hey everybody, it's Ron from Ron's basement.
• 0:28
Live on the log flume. Say hi girls.
• 0:36
We need you to go to the comments below.
• 0:39
Leave your best estimate, reasonable estimate as to where
• 0:44
you think the silver price will be in one year.
• 0:48
Do it in dollars and cents. But you might be asking why?
• 0:53
How can this help? Well, we have a data scientist
• 0:57
amongst us. Yes, a fellow basement dweller
• 1:00
who's a high level data scientist who's gonna teach us
• 1:04
about a method that he's going to apply to your estimate.
• 1:08
That just might give us a accurate glimpse of where the
• 1:12
silver price could be in one year.
• 1:15
I've talked too much. I want to introduce you to a
• 1:18
fellow basement dweller, Don. Wedding Don.
• 1:21
Welcome to Ron's Basement. Thanks a lot Ron.
• 1:25
I've a long time viewer of your show and I'm excited to be here
• 1:29
and hopefully we can help figure out what the price of Silver is
• 1:32
going to be in 2025. That's right, March 15th, 2025
• 1:38
and and we will revisit this estimate, but we'll also revisit
• 1:42
on March 15th of 2025 to see how close we came.
• 1:45
But what's super interesting to me is you have this the the this
• 1:51
method called is it Wisdom of the crowd?
• 1:53
Can you share with us a little bit about that?
• 1:55
And then later, folks, we are gonna learn about Don 'cause
• 1:58
this guy is super smart and has some unbelievable credentials.
• 2:03
But tell the Tell the crowd that's joining us right now,
• 2:07
your fellow basement dwellers, about the wisdom of the crowd.
• 2:11
OK, well the wisdom of the crowd is actually a a widely used
• 2:15
technique in. They use it in politics, they
• 2:19
use it in marketing, they use it in many, many different areas.
• 2:22
The the back story of it is back in.
• 2:25
I believe this is and and don't don't quote me on the exact
• 2:29
dates here, but it was like I believe nineteen O 6.
• 2:31
There was a famous statistician named Sir Francis Galton and he
• 2:36
was at a County Fair in I believe Plymouth, England.
• 2:41
And they had a like 8 or you know, 7-8 hundred people there
• 2:44
and they had a contest to see who could guess the weight of a
• 2:48
cow. And they said, OK, everybody
• 2:50
guess this cow's weight. And the person who came closest
• 2:54
would get to win the cow. And incidentally, I got a cow
• 2:59
  here, Ron. That's right.
• 3:02
I didn't even realize when I put it on there that it was related
• 3:05
to Sir Francis Galton. But anyways, so So what happened
• 3:10
was nobody came even close to the true weight of the cow,
• 3:15
which was something like 1200 lbs and so.
• 3:20
But after the contest was over, Sir Francis Galton, being a
• 3:24
statistician, did some analysis and he averaged up everybody's
• 3:30
prediction. And he found out that even
• 3:33
though everybody was wrong, the people who when averaged
• 3:37
altogether these people were actually within 1% of the true
• 3:42
weight of the cow. So that started his his theory
• 3:47
on what's called the wisdom of the crowd, which basically it
• 3:50
goes to everybody has an equal probability of being low, as
• 3:55
they do high, and when you average it together, you get
• 3:58
close to the true value. The more people who guess
• 4:02
theoretically, the closer we're gonna get to the true value.
• 4:08
The one caveat is this is a cow, and these people are all staring
• 4:12
at cows. They can see it.
• 4:15
What we're going to do is we're going to try to predict this or
• 4:18
or apply this to predicting the future, which might be a lot
• 4:22
more difficult. A big jar of Jelly beans is
• 4:26
  concrete. You can see it.
• 4:28
Whereas now we're going to try to look in our crystal ball and
• 4:32
figure out what's going to happen in the future.
• 4:34
I'm not I'm I'm not certain that this is going to work or not,
• 4:39
but I I think it would be an interesting exercise for us to
• 4:44
try. So you're you're telling me that
• 4:47
if our fellow basement dwellers are willing to invest the 16
• 4:51
seconds it's going to take to go down below to the comments
• 4:55
section and put in a reasonable prediction as to where they see
• 5:01
silver going a year from now, we're gonna say March 15th of
• 5:04
2025, Then you can apply some statistical magic.
• 5:11
You're a data scientist and and come up with what we think could
• 5:15
be the wisdom of the crowd. And I understand, like you said,
• 5:19
right, that's there's a difference between looking at
• 5:22
something concrete and making an estimate as to weight or
• 5:26
quantity. But I think it's worth trying to
• 5:30
look out into the future with the price of silver in
• 5:33
particular. And I want to throw in that on
• 5:37
March 15th of 2025, we'll come back and do a drawing, a random
• 5:42
drawing from all the comments that are that are in the
• 5:44
comments to this video. And I'll give that person this
• 5:48
  American Silver Eagle right here.
• 5:51
  Well, OK. That sounds good.
• 5:52
And Ron, do you think we can also try to have them also
• 5:56
predict the price of gold as well as silver?
• 6:00
Yes, if they like that would be wonderful, right?
• 6:03
Then put put your put write the word gold in your best estimate
• 6:07
for what you see March 15th, 2025 and write the word silver
• 6:12
and put your best estimate again for March 15th 2025.
• 6:17
And and my reason for doing that is I believe that most of your
• 6:20
basement dwellers love silver and they're extremely
• 6:23
knowledgeable on it but probably less so on gold.
• 6:26
So I'm curious if the the, the skill set or the knowledge of
• 6:31
silver is going to make their predictions more accurate or
• 6:35
less accurate as opposed to gold because you know there's also
• 6:40
everybody here obviously wants silver to to go through the the
• 6:44
roof and and it doesn't. So I mean I'm curious if also
• 6:49
our there we may have a bias built in that you know we all
• 6:53
wishful thinking that it's that we're all going to be rich
• 6:56
tomorrow. So that's my reason for maybe
• 7:00
throwing in a secondary metal. This wisdom of the crowd.
• 7:03
I don't know if you called IT system or a or a.
• 7:07
  It. Would be a technique.
• 7:08
  Yeah. Technique, thank you, is
• 7:10
fascinating. I dug in and did some research.
• 7:13
And I mean, it really can work. If we have everyone give us that
• 7:17
reasonable prediction for both silver and gold, it'll be super
• 7:21
fascinating to see what the wisdom of the crowd comes up
• 7:26
  with. And I'm particularly interested
• 7:28
to see how this turns out, because I can tell you one thing
• 7:31
for sure about that viewer who's here with us now, Don, right,
• 7:35
it's you and I. But we've got a third person,
• 7:37
the most important person, the viewer, and that is that they
• 7:40
are intelligent, right? The the information I get from
• 7:45
YouTube indicates to me that we have a high end clientele here
• 7:50
in Ron's basement. So I think we can come up with
• 7:52
some accurate estimates. And on top of that, the guy
• 7:56
who's going to be working on this, Don, you've got quite a
• 8:00
background yourself. I'm going to invite you to
• 8:02
please briefly brag about yourself so our viewer knows
• 8:06
who's going to be digging into these numbers.
• 8:09
Well, OK, Ron. So my background is I'm an
• 8:15
engineer by trade and I got into statistics and data science,
• 8:21
where data science is basically the application of practical
• 8:25
statistics, machine learning techniques, use of the computers
• 8:30
to do a lot of your statistical and predictive modeling.
• 8:33
I've been doing this in the banking industry.
• 8:35
I started in the banking industry in 2000 and have been
• 8:38
in this field, insurance, marketing, variety of different
• 8:42
areas. Applying this for the last
• 8:45
quarter of a century and currently I work as a
• 8:48
consultant. I have my own consulting
• 8:51
company, one man show, Oops DKW Analytics and when I'm not doing
• 9:00
analytics for companies I also teach at Northwestern
• 9:03
University. I work in there Data Science
• 9:07
Master's degree program, so I teach machine learning there as
• 9:11
well. So you're you're gonna be
• 9:14
applying a variety of analytical tools to the sample size.
• 9:19
And I know I can't wait to see what you come up with, but
• 9:24
you're also a person who's very passionate about silver and gold
• 9:29
  as well. Yeah.
• 9:30
It's fascinating to be I, I, I get in the morning.
• 9:33
I wake up. I pour myself a cup of coffee
• 9:35
and I sit in front of the YouTube and I watch watch your
• 9:39
show. I watch a few of the other shows
• 9:41
and I just can't watch this enough and just you know it's
• 9:46
it's a quick way to drive my wife running from the room.
• 9:49
She just, you know, apparently she she lacks my my enthusiasm
• 9:55
when it comes to to the precious metals.
• 9:57
But I I find this stuff fascinating and I also like to
• 10:00
study economic trends. It's just sort of a hobby of
• 10:04
mine. And so, Ron, you're the first
• 10:07
  guy I watch in the morning. Oh boy, I, I, I, I, I, I, I I
• 10:11
apologize for that in advance. So, hey, real quickly, Don, I
• 10:15
just want to say thank you to my channel sponsors that make these
• 10:18
videos possible. I want to say thank you to
• 10:21
Pimbex, Pi, MB EX. If you just don't want to
• 10:24
estimate the price of silver or if you think it's going to be
• 10:28
higher on March 15th of 2025 and you're thinking about getting
• 10:33
yourself some silver, gold or platinum, go check out Pimbex.
• 10:37
Throw them into the mix. If you're shopping online, they
• 10:41
have the best prices, the best service and great selection.
• 10:44
It's a company that I work with, but you need to find out for
• 10:48
yourself. And I want to say thank you to
• 10:49
Fortuna Silver. They just announced their fourth
• 10:52
quarter earnings this morning and things are looking very
• 10:56
bright for Fortuna. I'll have Jorge Genosa, the CEO
• 10:59
on for an interview later this week, which will be published
• 11:03
next week. You can check them out of
• 11:05
Fortuna silver.com and of course our friends at First Mining Gold
• 11:10
Canadian Gold developer with not one but two exciting 5 million
• 11:16
oz gold development projects in the permitting phase in Canada.
• 11:22
They're going to be ready to go when the big gold miners need to
• 11:25
fill their pipeline with new projects.
• 11:27
Back to you Don, did I forget to mention anything to our to our
• 11:31
viewer today? So at this point we're asking
• 11:34
people go down below to the comment section, write the word
• 11:38
silver. What do you think the silver
• 11:40
price will be on March 15th, 2025 and do the same for gold.
• 11:46
Don's going to be working hard to get all this together and
• 11:49
then we're going to, we're going to know for sure what the silver
• 11:52
and gold price are going to be in March of 2025.
• 11:58
That that sounds good, Ron. Just out of curiosity, you said
• 12:01
you're going to do a random drawing.
• 12:03
Should they put some kind of a word in there like predict or
• 12:07
something like that so that you know to only select those
• 12:10
predictions? Now I think if they just write
• 12:13
silver and write their silver estimate and gold and their gold
• 12:16
estimate, I'll be able to. Then I have a random comment
• 12:18
picker that will go through all the comments.
• 12:21
And the only thing I'll ask is you know, guys, please be
• 12:24
reasonable, right? And I know you will.
• 12:27
So, but give us your, you know, if you really thought you could
• 12:30
go out a year in the future and pull up Pendeck's website and
• 12:35
see what the silver and gold price is, what, what would you
• 12:38
see? Well, I do have techniques if
• 12:41
there are you know, somebody thinks it's going to be you
• 12:43
know, a billion dollars or something like that.
• 12:46
I have ways of dealing with that as well.
• 12:48
But you know any any prediction if you really think it's a
• 12:52
billion dollars you can put it in there.
• 12:54
But I would hope you know, I I don't want to bias the audience
• 12:58
if you, you know you put what you think but I have a lot of
• 13:01
different techniques and we'll we'll come up with several
• 13:03
different predictions. I am so excited, Don.
• 13:06
On behalf of myself, on behalf of the viewer, I really want to
• 13:10
say thank you because you know, you usually charge big money to
• 13:13
do this type of analysis. Again, Don's a data scientist.
• 13:18
If any of you out there need any statistical analysis type work
• 13:22
done, you can get, get in touch with Don.
• 13:25
What's the name of your company again, Don?
• 13:27
  It's DKW. That's my initials Donald K
• 13:30
Wedding. So it's DKW Analytics and I have
• 13:35
a website that's what's currently down, but it'll be up
• 13:38
  to again shortly dkwanalytics.com.
• 13:44
All the basement dwellers are important people, but I can tell
• 13:47
you we've got some, you know, business owners, executives,
• 13:53
people of you know, of all higher level individuals
• 13:58
watching. So yeah, if you guys need some,
• 14:01
some, some, some data science work, get in touch or send me an
• 14:04
e-mail. I can get you in touch with Don.
• 14:07
And we're excited to see what kind of statistical magic we can
• 14:13
work up with these silver and gold predictions.
• 14:16
Well it's it's very kind for you to give me the plug there on but
• 14:19
  I'm I'm just doing this because I I'm absolutely I'm fascinated
• 14:22
by this and I and I love your show big fan.
• 14:25
Yeah. I want to throw in Don did not
• 14:27
request that I gave them gave him that plug.
• 14:29
But my interactions with Don are have been really great.
• 14:36
So I'm more than happy, you know as basement dwellers we stick
• 14:39
together, Don. So you never know what might
• 14:41
happen and we'll we'll check back in maybe like in six weeks,
• 14:46
8 weeks and give the the big results.
• 14:48
Does that sound like a plan? That sounds like a plan.
• 14:50
  And incidentally, you're Ron's basement.
• 14:52
This is my basement, so this is Don's basement.
• 14:55
  So. Only one letter.
• 15:01
One letter and three teddy bears.
• 15:03
But you've got a stuffed bowl, so all right, Don.
• 15:05
Thank you. I borrowed this from my wife.
• 15:09
Yeah, well, that's right. We borrow all our stuffed
• 15:11
animals from our wives, right? I guess.
• 15:13
Yeah, I guess so. It's not mine, trust me.
• 15:16
  Right on. All right, Don.
• 15:17
Thank you. We'll see you soon.
• 15:19
You'll be good. Thank you so much, Ron.
