- 0:01Speaker 1: Happy Thanksgiving everybody, Welcome back to stay out of my
- 0:06Speaker 1: fridge at time where your fridge is full of leftovers
- 0:09Speaker 1: right now, and hopefully you have had an amazing day
- 0:13Speaker 1: of football and family and food and joining me. As always,
- 0:18Speaker 1: we never know who's going to be here but the one,
- 0:22Speaker 1: the only. I Lah, what's up girl?
- 0:25Speaker 2: Nothing? Really?
- 0:26Speaker 1: Remember a couple of weeks ago, you were sneezing, you
- 0:28Speaker 1: were coffin and everything, and you're feeling.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Better, Yeah, way better.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Yeah, thanks for you got me sick. So I took
- 0:34Speaker 1: your sickness away from you. You're welcome. So if you
- 0:37Speaker 1: hear any coffin sniffling or whatever else, it's me because
- 0:42Speaker 1: I took the cold from her, which I'm you know what.
- 0:45Speaker 1: I think that's what the parent should do anyway, So
- 0:47Speaker 1: the kid's not feeling good, I'll take the sickness. Although
- 0:49Speaker 1: you are tougher being sick than me. I'm a baby
- 0:54Speaker 1: when I'm sick. I don't like it. I don't like
- 0:56Speaker 1: it at all. But yeah, we're in we're in Thanksgiving mode,
- 1:00Speaker 1: and it's you're excited. Yeah, yeah, there's a lot to
- 1:05Speaker 1: be done. Obviously. As a kid, you get a good
- 1:08Speaker 1: you to get to show up to Thanksgiving. You get
- 1:10Speaker 1: to see family and friends, hang out, play games. Well,
- 1:13Speaker 1: the adults cook and plan and stress and eat and
- 1:17Speaker 1: eat finally and eat some more. But yeah, I'm excited
- 1:22Speaker 1: for it. And do you have a Thanksgiving song playing
- 1:24Speaker 1: for us? What's the song? What pops into your brain?
- 1:27Speaker 1: If you're going to sing a song when it's a
- 1:29Speaker 1: Thanksgiving song? You got one lined up One's restaurant.
- 1:33Speaker 2: I don't know the lyrics though.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Oh we play that every year on the vinyl, don't we.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Yes, And it's like a ten minute long song.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Now, no, no, what if you were to make up
- 1:42Speaker 1: a Thanksgiving song? How would it go? Any ideas about turkey?
- 1:46Speaker 1: I'm not singing it. Come up with one sing it.
- 1:58Speaker 2: And mashed potato. I can have some fun with. It's
- 2:09Speaker 2: not beef.
- 2:11Speaker 1: That's a Thanksgiving song. YouTube's not going to take that down,
- 2:15Speaker 1: are they. No, So we're gonna do a fun little
- 2:20Speaker 1: couple of things on the show. And one of the
- 2:22Speaker 1: things that's coming around in the schools in our area
- 2:26Speaker 1: are report cards. Sissy nailed it, Avery nailed it, And
- 2:31Speaker 1: the last one to get the report card out was
- 2:34Speaker 1: a lot nailed it. Yeah, you had probably one of
- 2:40Speaker 1: if not your best report card ever. And I know
- 2:43Speaker 1: a couple episodes back, you even talked about it's a
- 2:45Speaker 1: basketball season for me, and I'm working extra hard on
- 2:48Speaker 1: my grades and I want to be a great student athlete.
- 2:52Speaker 2: And I got like a ninety something on.
- 2:55Speaker 1: My dude, you got like all nineties. I have a
- 2:58Speaker 1: picture of it. Should I read or no? I should
- 3:01Speaker 1: read it? All right, Let's see if I can pull
- 3:03Speaker 1: this up here. I wasn't planning on this. So what
- 3:06Speaker 1: we're gonna do to is, after this, we're gonna do
- 3:08Speaker 1: a Thanksgiving report card. We're gonna give certain things on Thanksgiving,
- 3:12Speaker 1: and I'm gonna let you and then meet and we're
- 3:15Speaker 1: gonna give it our own grades. What do you think
- 3:17Speaker 1: about that?
- 3:18Speaker 2: I think that's a good idea.
- 3:19Speaker 1: I think that's a good idea. I was taking off
- 3:21Speaker 1: the shoes getting comfy in the studio. This is like
- 3:23Speaker 1: the first time I've ever had shoes on in the studio,
- 3:25Speaker 1: and it feels really weird. All right. So in the
- 3:28Speaker 1: state of New York, they do a thing called ELA.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Do you know what that stands for?
- 3:32Speaker 2: Election?
- 3:33Speaker 1: What would the LB? Oh? Okay, it's English Language Arts.
- 3:38Speaker 1: So that's a class he did isla with a ninety two.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Love that. Then they're social studies. Guess what she got
- 3:45Speaker 1: another ninety two and then science there was no grades.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Did you not start science yet?
- 3:54Speaker 2: Maybe we kind of did, but we only put food,
- 3:57Speaker 2: coloring and water in thank use on salary in Berlin.
- 4:02Speaker 2: It's gonna change.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Ooh, all right, out right, out right art out of
- 4:08Speaker 1: one through four or pe four music for knowledgy and
- 4:15Speaker 1: computer skills. You think this should be through the roof
- 4:17Speaker 1: because you're a podcaster Indy, and then library skills. And
- 4:25Speaker 1: I'm assuming band was a four as well. Maybe i'd
- 4:27Speaker 1: that's where it cut off, or maybe you don't take band, but.
- 4:29Speaker 2: I don't do band. I only do.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Music, gotcha. So that is one of the best report
- 4:35Speaker 1: cards that you have had. And I'm so proud of Sissy.
- 4:38Speaker 1: I think was all nineties as well, avery all nineties
- 4:40Speaker 1: as well. I am surrounded by smart girls everywhere. I
- 4:45Speaker 1: can tell you that I don't think I ever had
- 4:47Speaker 1: a report card that was full of nineties. So I'm
- 4:49Speaker 1: super proud of all you smarty pants, which is funny
- 4:53Speaker 1: because you like smarties and you're not wearing pants, you're
- 4:56Speaker 1: wearing shorts even though it's cold out. But I did
- 4:58Speaker 1: mention this. Do you have anything in this say about
- 5:00Speaker 1: school report cards? Or you want to get right into
- 5:02Speaker 1: the Thanksgiving report cards?
- 5:04Speaker 2: Right? Thanksgiving report cards?
- 5:06Speaker 1: All right? So I think that the most important thing
- 5:09Speaker 1: that we should really talk about when it comes to
- 5:12Speaker 1: Thanksgiving is well, the food and family. So we'll go
- 5:16Speaker 1: ahead and rank a couple of different things. Are you
- 5:20Speaker 1: ready for this? Yeah, and we're going to go grades
- 5:23Speaker 1: one through one hundred. All right, Let's start with turkey.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Why are you smiling because you don't like turkey? What
- 5:35Speaker 1: would you give turkey? One through one hundred is a
- 5:40Speaker 1: Thanksgiving food, not just turkey in general, but Thanksgiving.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Turkey, Like how other people like it or how I
- 5:45Speaker 2: like it?
- 5:45Speaker 1: You're giving it a grade. You're the You are the teacher,
- 5:48Speaker 1: and I'm a different teacher. You got one class, I
- 5:50Speaker 1: got one class. We're gonna you just We're going to
- 5:53Speaker 1: give it a grade. One through one hundred. One hundred
- 5:56Speaker 1: is just awesome. Students doing well. It's one of the
- 6:01Speaker 1: it's one of the good things. It's pretty much perfect
- 6:03Speaker 1: like it's it's a good grade. Obviously you give it
- 6:07Speaker 1: a zero fifty fifty.
- 6:11Speaker 2: I can't eat it.
- 6:13Speaker 1: You can't. Oh that's a pushups. You can eat it,
- 6:16Speaker 1: you choose not to. You're not allergic to turkey. I
- 6:19Speaker 1: I never said, Oh, I thought you said can't fault.
- 6:22Speaker 2: I can't eat it, but I don't choose too fair.
- 6:28Speaker 2: So fifty because it's fifty to fifty kind of okay,
- 6:32Speaker 2: because it's fifty that I will eat it, fifty that
- 6:35Speaker 2: I won't.
- 6:35Speaker 1: No, it's a twelve percent chance that you'll eat it
- 6:39Speaker 1: because I'm going to make you take a bite of it.
- 6:41Speaker 1: And it's a one hundred percent chance that you wouldn't
- 6:44Speaker 1: eat it if you had a choice. Am I wrong? Now?
- 6:47Speaker 1: All right? And and uh, for me, I think the
- 6:50Speaker 1: way that I grew up, the way that movies are
- 6:53Speaker 1: and stuff, I think turkey is probably the most recognizable.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Yeah, but we were going of what.
- 7:01Speaker 1: That's your great ranking?
- 7:03Speaker 2: I mean, that's what Thanksgiving known for.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a Thanksgiving report card. You already went fifty.
- 7:10Speaker 1: You know what I'm gonna give you that, I'm gonna
- 7:12Speaker 1: give you one re chance. I'm gonna go with my reasoning,
- 7:14Speaker 1: my grade, and this will be the one and only
- 7:16Speaker 1: time I'll let you do a re ranking, a regrading
- 7:20Speaker 1: of anything every year in your entire life. So let
- 7:22Speaker 1: me go here. Turkey. No, no, no, no, no, I said,
- 7:24Speaker 1: I get to go first. Thanksgiving it's known for turkey.
- 7:27Speaker 1: It's in the movies, It's in pretty much every house
- 7:31Speaker 1: that I've It's in every house that I've ever been in.
- 7:33Speaker 1: And I know different people different Thanksgivings. But it is
- 7:36Speaker 1: like the Thanksgiving food. Love to eat it or not? Turkey,
- 7:41Speaker 1: it's a staple for it. Is it perfect? No? Is
- 7:44Speaker 1: it my favorite meat on Thanksgiving?
- 7:48Speaker 2: No?
- 7:48Speaker 1: But it's turkey. I'm giving it a ninety nine out
- 7:52Speaker 1: of one hundred. You stick with your fifty? No, okay,
- 7:56Speaker 1: this is the only time you can ever rank anything
- 7:59Speaker 1: in rerank it because the rules are the rules. You
- 8:02Speaker 1: be creative and once you lock in a score, you
- 8:05Speaker 1: don't change it. So Aila, the one time you get
- 8:09Speaker 1: a redo on this your you have you got a
- 8:11Speaker 1: makeup test. What is your Turkey grade?
- 8:15Speaker 2: Ninety seven? Because that's like what you said, that's what
- 8:19Speaker 2: Thanksgiving is known for. Turkey.
- 8:23Speaker 1: I got you, Okay, I like it. Go with Thanksgiving
- 8:28Speaker 1: school break? How would you rank that one through one hundred?
- 8:34Speaker 1: Why is it one hundred?
- 8:36Speaker 2: Because then I can have a little bit to just
- 8:38Speaker 2: like relax.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Okay, all right, See, I think it's a it's a
- 8:43Speaker 1: little bit of a mini break. I'm so I think
- 8:47Speaker 1: it could be better. I mean, Christmas break longer, New
- 8:50Speaker 1: Year's break and Christmas kind of running together, Spring breaks
- 8:53Speaker 1: longer up here. I mean it's on Thanksgiving's always on
- 8:56Speaker 1: a Thursday, so you're getting like a Wednesday Friday. It's
- 8:58Speaker 1: kind of like a half of breaks. So I'm gonna
- 9:00Speaker 1: go with the isle of report card graat, I'm gonna
- 9:02Speaker 1: go with a ninety two for me Thanksgiving school break
- 9:05Speaker 1: ninety two. Let's go with the weather. Obviously, let's not
- 9:11Speaker 1: base it on this year. Think back to all the
- 9:13Speaker 1: Thanksgivings we are. You out there running around having a
- 9:16Speaker 1: good time outside, you mostly indoors. Is it been great
- 9:20Speaker 1: car rides, long car rise. Do you think the weather
- 9:23Speaker 1: where we are is good? Or do you think it's me?
- 9:27Speaker 1: What would you give the weather Thanksgiving weather for a
- 9:31Speaker 1: grade fifty? See, that's a pretty decent run.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Because sometimes it's like nice outside, all the kids go
- 9:41Speaker 2: out and play, but sometimes it's like winter like it
- 9:45Speaker 2: is now and then we can't. Yeah, and when I
- 9:49Speaker 2: get to the car, ridy yeah.
- 9:51Speaker 1: All right, that's good. I'm gonna say I'm gonna go
- 9:53Speaker 1: with the first number that the pop in my head.
- 9:54Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with a forty two. I don't like
- 9:57Speaker 1: the cold, I don't like the great in the forecast
- 9:59Speaker 1: for our Thanksgiving twenty five is miserable. Six to seven
- 10:02Speaker 1: inches of snow, six of it. You didn't even do
- 10:07Speaker 1: it that time and.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Then over you're laughing, Yeah, you are.
- 10:12Speaker 1: All right. Let's go with the the environment of our Thanksgiving,
- 10:21Speaker 1: which the whole environment, the food, the family, the friends,
- 10:26Speaker 1: the whole vibes. What would you rank the overall Thanksgiving environment?
- 10:33Speaker 1: You got it? What are you thinking? I know, the
- 10:37Speaker 1: hand movements funny, but remember we haven't got ten thousand
- 10:41Speaker 1: likes on a single episode.
- 10:43Speaker 2: No, I was just trying to measure how much that
- 10:45Speaker 2: probably is.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Got oh, six to whatever inches of snow? Gotcha? So
- 10:52Speaker 1: what are you ranking? Thanksgiving environment? The family, the friends,
- 10:57Speaker 1: the smells, the food, every thing.
- 11:00Speaker 2: I'm just gonna say, I'm just gonna put it here
- 11:03Speaker 2: one hundred because the best thing, in my opinion, is
- 11:06Speaker 2: spending time with family.
- 11:08Speaker 1: I like it. That's good, That's very better good. I'm
- 11:10Speaker 1: gonna I'm gonna go with a hundred as well. Can't
- 11:13Speaker 1: beat it. Day off of work, family, food, the smells,
- 11:18Speaker 1: the everything is pretty good. What do you think was
- 11:24Speaker 1: that pretty goodhuld We move on to the next little
- 11:26Speaker 1: thing we got going on. Yeah, yeah, that was good.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Next year we'll come back, we'll do some more deep
- 11:31Speaker 1: diving on some ranking. So let's go with something fun.
- 11:35Speaker 1: What Thanksgiving dish are you potentially So we're gonna start
- 11:40Speaker 1: it off, all right, which family member would you consider
- 11:46Speaker 1: would be the mashed potatoes? If you could pick one
- 11:50Speaker 1: family member, who do you think would be the mashed potatoes?
- 11:57Speaker 2: And why this is gonna sound so rude.
- 12:00Speaker 1: It's all in good fun. We're not gonna walk up
- 12:03Speaker 1: to somebody and be like, what up, mush potatoes? Do
- 12:06Speaker 1: the mush potato? What do you think would be the
- 12:08Speaker 1: mashed potatoes? You know potato? You know somebody that can
- 12:13Speaker 1: be used or do many things because the potato can
- 12:16Speaker 1: be well, that's mashed potatoes. I get it. But mashed
- 12:18Speaker 1: potatoes they're a pretty big part of the thing. They go.
- 12:21Speaker 1: It goes well with gravy, So maybe keep in mind
- 12:24Speaker 1: to somebody that has a little gravy in their life.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Okay, I'm gonna go with grandpa.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Grandpa's the mashed potato, So Grandma's the gravy. Oh, why
- 12:33Speaker 1: do you think Grandpa's the mashed.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Potatoes because he does a lot of things and it's
- 12:38Speaker 2: just awesome.
- 12:39Speaker 1: And without mashed potatoes, it wouldn't be a Thanksgiving dinner
- 12:42Speaker 1: with it. No, that's good. I like that.
- 12:45Speaker 2: And then for gravy, my grandma.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that goes pretty good.
- 12:48Speaker 2: You cannot make my grandma like you cannot make my
- 12:52Speaker 2: like turkey or something, because like.
- 12:56Speaker 1: All right, So which family member is pumpkin pie? A
- 13:04Speaker 1: little bit sweet, very festive, an acchoirir taste. Not everybody
- 13:11Speaker 1: loves pumpkin pie, but a lot of people love pumpkin pie. Hmmm,
- 13:17Speaker 1: it comes frozen, it could be homemade. Really gotta love
- 13:22Speaker 1: pumpkin though, Who do you think is the pumpkin pie
- 13:25Speaker 1: in the family? Mommy, Mommy, you're saying, not everybody loves
- 13:29Speaker 1: your mom. But she's a little spicy, a little fall.
- 13:31Speaker 1: She does love fall.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Yeah, but not everybody will love her. I do, but
- 13:36Speaker 2: everybody will.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Okay, I like that. That's a good answer.
- 13:39Speaker 2: That's a good answer, And I love my pumpkin pie.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Favorite pie?
- 13:44Speaker 2: All right?
- 13:45Speaker 1: Which family member is cranberry sauce?
- 13:50Speaker 3: Me?
- 13:50Speaker 1: Whoa?
- 13:52Speaker 2: Why?
- 13:52Speaker 1: Because you like to jiggle jiggle, jiggle jiggle.
- 13:54Speaker 2: He no, because I just love cranberry sauce and nobody
- 13:58Speaker 2: else can. I'm the kranber sauce clean For Thanksgiving last year,
- 14:02Speaker 2: they literally brought like three cans of it and I
- 14:05Speaker 2: just ate them all. No Turkey, nobody else touched it.
- 14:08Speaker 2: They had a separate one for them.
- 14:10Speaker 1: What makes cranberry sauce in your opinion, the best there?
- 14:13Speaker 1: And what makes it the best is it? And which
- 14:15Speaker 1: kind of you like? The homemade one or straight from
- 14:17Speaker 1: a can that when it plops out of there, it's
- 14:19Speaker 1: the same exact shape. It's the can, the stot one okay, because.
- 14:26Speaker 2: It's just so iconic. Whatever was that?
- 14:28Speaker 1: Okay? I like it? I like it. Which person in
- 14:33Speaker 1: the family it's the turkey thinking about this one? Aren't you?
- 14:40Speaker 1: I got my vote? Who's the turkey? Come on, turkey breath?
- 14:44Speaker 2: What do you think Uncle Barncat? Because he's the one
- 14:46Speaker 2: who's hosting it that he's running. He's doing it at
- 14:50Speaker 2: his house with a bunch of people there, so it's
- 14:53Speaker 2: gonna get messy after.
- 14:55Speaker 1: So like a turkey, would he's mine? That was my guess.
- 15:01Speaker 1: I would have said uncle Market or.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Aunt Jil because they're both running it, so they're both turkeys.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Okay, I like it. I like it. And let's go
- 15:12Speaker 1: one more, which which family member is the stuffing? You know,
- 15:18Speaker 1: that stuffing that not everybody likes, Not everybody really eats
- 15:21Speaker 1: really not for everybody that doesn't. You love most of
- 15:25Speaker 1: your family. So who you're gonna say isn't somebody that
- 15:27Speaker 1: you'd not like. But what I'm just saying is like,
- 15:29Speaker 1: which one do you think when when you think stuffing?
- 15:31Speaker 1: If you had to pick a person, who would you
- 15:33Speaker 1: say would be the stuffing? My sister, Oh, hear me out,
- 15:37Speaker 1: I'm hearing.
- 15:38Speaker 2: You is a mix of a lot of things, Like
- 15:42Speaker 2: she's really nice, she's really kind like, and she's got
- 15:46Speaker 2: a lot of things that she does, like she's crochet,
- 15:50Speaker 2: so she does like that kind of stuff. And she's
- 15:52Speaker 2: just a mix of a lot of things that are fun.
- 15:55Speaker 2: But not everybody likes herd which I just can't plead
- 16:03Speaker 2: that she's such a nice person. I like, what'd you
- 16:06Speaker 2: get to know her? Yeah?
- 16:09Speaker 1: I like that. That's a good answer. That's very thoughtful.
- 16:12Speaker 1: I like that. All right, let's play a game. Another game.
- 16:16Speaker 1: This one we're gonna call turkey or no turkey. I'm
- 16:19Speaker 1: gonna throw things your way, whether it's Thanksgiving, whether it's school,
- 16:23Speaker 1: whether it's life. And you tell me if you think
- 16:26Speaker 1: that there can be turkey, there's just no way that
- 16:29Speaker 1: there could be turkey. So all you rapidly fire back
- 16:32Speaker 1: is turkey or no turkey. Are you ready? Wake up
- 16:38Speaker 1: and it's Thanksgiving? You wake up early on Thanksgiving? Turkey
- 16:41Speaker 1: or no turkey?
- 16:42Speaker 2: No turkey. It's not ready yet.
- 16:44Speaker 1: It's not ready yet, but it should be in the
- 16:47Speaker 1: oven early. It takes a long time to take a
- 16:49Speaker 1: little cook a turkey. All right, she says, no turkey,
- 16:53Speaker 1: I'm going turkey. Are you ready for this? Only photos?
- 16:58Speaker 1: Turkey or no turkey?
- 17:00Speaker 2: Turkey?
- 17:01Speaker 1: Okay, So you think your family photos. Every time you
- 17:03Speaker 1: take a family photo, there should be a turkey in it.
- 17:06Speaker 2: There's a turkey in the background because somebody's eating it.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Just family photos in general. I'm saying it could be
- 17:12Speaker 1: a summertime family photo, it could be a family photo
- 17:16Speaker 1: with wedding pictures. They should all have turkey. No no,
- 17:20Speaker 1: you said turkey. So every time we take a family
- 17:21Speaker 1: photo from here on out, we are going to have
- 17:24Speaker 1: a turkey. It could be a it could be a
- 17:25Speaker 1: stuffed animal turkey, or it can be a piece of
- 17:28Speaker 1: turkey or a turkey sum or a turkey sandwich. Right, Okay,
- 17:32Speaker 1: no turkey, I think you know. All right, pumpkin pie.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Every time there's pumpkin pie, should there be turkey or
- 17:40Speaker 1: no turkey?
- 17:40Speaker 2: No turkey, that's a dessert. Yeah, you should see my
- 17:45Speaker 2: disgusted face right now.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Trust me, it matches your feet, they're dirty. There's anyways,
- 17:52Speaker 1: pumpkin pie, no turkey. Black Friday shopping turkey or no turkey.
- 17:57Speaker 2: No turkey, no turkey, no turkey going stopping?
- 18:02Speaker 1: No, But Black Friday shopping is usually done online. So
- 18:05Speaker 1: maybe you're having some turkey leftovers. It's always the day
- 18:08Speaker 1: after Thanksgiving. But you said no turkey. I get it.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Turkey's not gonna get dropping, all right. What about leftovers
- 18:16Speaker 1: turkey turkey?
- 18:17Speaker 2: There's always leftovers from turkey, all right?
- 18:20Speaker 1: What about matching Christmas pajamas? Turkey or no turkey, no turkey.
- 18:25Speaker 2: I would turkey be dressed up?
- 18:28Speaker 1: Be pretty funny, would be all right? Hallmark movies turkeys
- 18:34Speaker 1: or no turkey. Hallmark movies are like family movies, like classic,
- 18:41Speaker 1: just a good old time movie. Family's involved. You know
- 18:45Speaker 1: you got family meals, family dinners, Turkey. I think that's
- 18:49Speaker 1: a good one, all right. What about me dancing while
- 18:53Speaker 1: I'm cooking turkey or no turkey? Turkey or no turkey,
- 18:56Speaker 1: no turkey? Fair enough? I guess my dance moves are
- 18:59Speaker 1: no turkeykey. What about bowling turkey or no.
- 19:03Speaker 2: Turkey, no turkey.
- 19:05Speaker 1: But did you know if you get three strikes in
- 19:07Speaker 1: a row, it's called a turkey. We got you on one,
- 19:11Speaker 1: all right, Here we go. I'm gonna give you a
- 19:15Speaker 1: couple of holiday hot takes. You know what hot takes
- 19:18Speaker 1: are controversy, a little bit of like I'm gonna say
- 19:21Speaker 1: something and it might be a little edgy, it might
- 19:23Speaker 1: be a little hot take, but it's real, all right.
- 19:25Speaker 1: So these are gonna be the holiday hot takes that
- 19:28Speaker 1: you can't reverse. You can't play the Uno reverse card,
- 19:31Speaker 1: all right. So I'm gonna I'm gonna say it, and
- 19:35Speaker 1: you're gonna lean into it and tell me why. The
- 19:38Speaker 1: first one you're gonna you're gonna really lean into because
- 19:40Speaker 1: I think this is you're very passionate about this one.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Turkey is overrated?
- 19:46Speaker 2: Yes?
- 19:47Speaker 1: Why is turkey overrated? Tell us how you really feel
- 19:50Speaker 1: about turkey and why it's overrated?
- 19:53Speaker 2: Because I always think of eating like why are you
- 19:57Speaker 2: eating a turkey right now?
- 19:59Speaker 1: Like?
- 19:59Speaker 2: Why? Why? That's what I always think of and it
- 20:02Speaker 2: makes me so sad. That's why I don't eat it.
- 20:04Speaker 1: That's why you don't eat it?
- 20:06Speaker 2: And just gross?
- 20:07Speaker 1: Why is it gross?
- 20:08Speaker 2: It's just nasty?
- 20:09Speaker 1: But why, Like why you take a bite of a turkey?
- 20:12Speaker 1: Why are you?
- 20:13Speaker 2: Like?
- 20:13Speaker 1: It's gross? Like for me if I was just my
- 20:16Speaker 1: taste buds, So your taste bods are so bad that
- 20:18Speaker 1: you don't like only turkeys, I mean, like for me,
- 20:20Speaker 1: like if you were to grab some milk that was
- 20:22Speaker 1: bad and it was a little bit sour, and I
- 20:23Speaker 1: tried to be like, well that's bad. It's sour, taste, funky,
- 20:26Speaker 1: it makes me want to puke. Why is turkey overrated?
- 20:30Speaker 2: Because it's just not that good.
- 20:34Speaker 1: That's that's your that's your description. It's not good.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't have anything else to put in.
- 20:41Speaker 1: Okay, so turkey's overrated? Yep, all right, Now you've got
- 20:44Speaker 1: to be very passionate about this, and you gotta just
- 20:46Speaker 1: tell me why. Okay, you have to go for this.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Mashed potatoes should be a dessert, not a side with
- 20:56Speaker 1: turkey and stuff. Tell me why mashed potatoes should be
- 20:59Speaker 1: a dessert?
- 20:59Speaker 2: No, because that studs wrong.
- 21:02Speaker 1: No, you you're doing the hot takes. You gotta tell me, yes,
- 21:05Speaker 1: you're on team yes, and you're gonna sell it. Wha
- 21:09Speaker 1: what was that little turkey? Mashed potato should be a dessert?
- 21:15Speaker 2: Why they shouldn't?
- 21:16Speaker 1: Why shouldn't they be? I think they should be.
- 21:19Speaker 2: I think they should be because they that's just gross.
- 21:22Speaker 2: Because but if you get punk a pie, punk a
- 21:24Speaker 2: pie and mashed potatoes them up, you're not gonna be
- 21:26Speaker 2: so good.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Okay. So if you take pumpkin pie and let's say
- 21:34Speaker 1: ice cream and peanut butter and candy canes? Is pumpkin
- 21:38Speaker 1: pie dessert and candy canes dessert? Do they go together?
- 21:41Speaker 1: Really good? Just because they're two desserts. You don't have
- 21:44Speaker 1: to eat them together? Right? But I think it should
- 21:47Speaker 1: be a dessert, all right, because let's be honest, once
- 21:50Speaker 1: you eat the mashed potatoes, you're pretty much full, and
- 21:53Speaker 1: a good dessert is better with a with an addition
- 21:57Speaker 1: to it. Mashed potatoes decent, right, But are they better
- 22:00Speaker 1: with butter? Are they better with gravy? Are they better
- 22:02Speaker 1: when you add things to mashed potatoes? Just like ice cream?
- 22:05Speaker 1: Ice cream is good, but if you start to add
- 22:07Speaker 1: cookie dough, chocolate chips, sprinkles, hot fudge, peanut butter, fudge,
- 22:12Speaker 1: cherries on top, whipped cream, it's better. So like a dessert,
- 22:17Speaker 1: I think a mashed potato would be better as a dessert.
- 22:22Speaker 1: And they're a little bit better when they're cool or
- 22:24Speaker 1: not hot. Okay, all right, now this one you have
- 22:27Speaker 1: to go all in on. All right, Okay, Okay, you
- 22:31Speaker 1: gotta tell me why, even if you don't believe it,
- 22:34Speaker 1: you gotta tell me why. The Thanksgiving Day parade, the
- 22:38Speaker 1: Macy's Day Parade is boring.
- 22:40Speaker 2: I think that is so so out in all the world,
- 22:46Speaker 2: so not true, because there's so many good balloons, there's
- 22:52Speaker 2: so many cool parad things, there's so many dancing, there's
- 22:57Speaker 2: so good music. It's just a day to be remembered.
- 23:01Speaker 2: And you it's like it's always happened on Thanksgiving, so it's.
- 23:06Speaker 1: The thanks Giving Giving Day. Mazy. They don't do the
- 23:09Speaker 1: thanks Giving Day Parade, any.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Day Pride, it's just one day a year.
- 23:13Speaker 1: Hot Take. The Parade's boring. It's so boring that I've
- 23:17Speaker 1: never seen you or anybody in this house actually sit
- 23:19Speaker 1: down and watch it from the start at the beginning,
- 23:21Speaker 1: because it's too long. It's too boring, and it needs
- 23:26Speaker 1: to be shorter, and it needs to be more engaging
- 23:30Speaker 1: for the people. And it's so wild that most people
- 23:34Speaker 1: that are watching it to get the really good seats,
- 23:37Speaker 1: they have to wear diapers because there's nowhere to go
- 23:40Speaker 1: to the bathroom and they stand there for so many
- 23:42Speaker 1: hours that they can't give up their spot, they can't
- 23:45Speaker 1: leave there, so they wear diapers. So almost all those
- 23:48Speaker 1: people that you're watching on TV are wearing a diaper,
- 23:51Speaker 1: and it's full of peam, probably poop. Overrated. No, that's
- 23:54Speaker 1: your argument, is just no, you're not so good at this.
- 23:57Speaker 2: No, because I love it.
- 24:00Speaker 1: That's not an argument.
- 24:02Speaker 2: Okay, I love it, and you can never take that away.
- 24:05Speaker 2: And if you don't play it one day in the house,
- 24:08Speaker 2: I'm leaving.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Where are you gonna go?
- 24:10Speaker 2: That's what I thought, New mom papas.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Later all right, that was fun Hot Takes, all right?
- 24:16Speaker 1: Now I am going to we're gonna well, we are
- 24:19Speaker 1: gonna play name that Thanksgiving sound. I have to try
- 24:23Speaker 1: to make a sound and you have to try to
- 24:24Speaker 1: guess what it is. Okay, are you ready?
- 24:28Speaker 2: Turkey nice bab.
- 24:33Speaker 1: The oven oven beep.
- 24:34Speaker 2: People sleeping on the couch because they got knocked out
- 24:37Speaker 2: by the gravy, by.
- 24:38Speaker 1: The turkey potatoes. I was gonna go with snoring. Knocked
- 24:41Speaker 1: out is a pretty interesting way to put it. But
- 24:43Speaker 1: let's go with.
- 24:44Speaker 2: Someone's phone ringing at the table.
- 24:48Speaker 1: That's a tough one. I was gonna go with an
- 24:49Speaker 1: electric knife. Some people use an electric knife to cut
- 24:52Speaker 1: a turkey instead of just a normal so it sounds
- 24:54Speaker 1: we have one in there and.
- 24:55Speaker 2: It goes m I never heard of one of those.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Okay, let's go.
- 25:01Speaker 2: When something when like when you're playing a game and
- 25:05Speaker 2: a game piece falls off the table.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Close, something falls off the table, But dingdinking, what else
- 25:11Speaker 1: would fall during things giving dinner off the table and
- 25:14Speaker 1: you'd go that would probably go get it closer?
- 25:17Speaker 2: Mmmmdding you're silverware?
- 25:21Speaker 1: Yes, that's pretty good.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Is an you gotta wash it or got a new one.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Yep, especially if there's animals around, because it'd be covered
- 25:29Speaker 1: in hair. Interesting. Oh, we just coughed at the same time.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Excuse me, that was fun. Huh. Yeah, Well, we've we've
- 25:38Speaker 1: been on the road for basketball and stuffed as we
- 25:40Speaker 1: get ready to wrap up this episode. Have you had
- 25:42Speaker 1: any good snacks or food in the last week or
- 25:45Speaker 1: two for uh, you know, being on the road doing basketball. See,
- 25:50Speaker 1: I'm sure we haven't stopped at a certain McDonald's because
- 25:55Speaker 1: we're still on the boycott, aren't we. Yeah, why are
- 26:00Speaker 1: you looking at me? Did you guys stop at that
- 26:02Speaker 1: McDonald's again? Did you stop at that McDonald's again? If
- 26:05Speaker 1: I find out that we did an entire episode that
- 26:08Speaker 1: people can go and check out and you went to
- 26:13Speaker 1: this Donald's again, I'm gonna be upset. Did you go
- 26:19Speaker 1: to the McDonald's again? Okay? I did want to let
- 26:23Speaker 1: you know that there wasn't update that somebody did comment
- 26:26Speaker 1: on the video. She's lying to it. They stopped there,
- 26:30Speaker 1: and I'm gonna find out as soon how the McDonald's
- 26:35Speaker 1: drive through works. Remember we asked that question. Yes, Oh,
- 26:42Speaker 1: do you want to do a shout out? You want
- 26:43Speaker 1: to say shout out yah, shout out National socialism seven
- 26:48Speaker 1: six eight five. On the YouTube, they said in one
- 26:52Speaker 1: of the shorts that we did at the Beard Laws Network,
- 26:54Speaker 1: the new home for Stay Out of My Fridge, Yours
- 26:56Speaker 1: On podcast, the Triple Ta podcast, Friday Night Lore, and
- 26:59Speaker 1: straight Side Storry Time Anything not Beard related. Over on
- 27:02Speaker 1: the Beard Laws Network. They said, the orders are made
- 27:06Speaker 1: in the order that they are put into the system.
- 27:08Speaker 1: There's no priority depending upon where it's coming from. The
- 27:12Speaker 1: drive through can have the perception of having priority if
- 27:16Speaker 1: you are dumb and incapable of critical thinking skills though,
- 27:23Speaker 1: but really it's four to six cars deep into orders
- 27:26Speaker 1: when you walk up to the counter, so that's where
- 27:29Speaker 1: you place your order. It becomes in the queue. So
- 27:31Speaker 1: a bunch of cars will get the orders before you
- 27:34Speaker 1: if they've already ordered at the drive through speaker. It's
- 27:37Speaker 1: not a one for one exchange of whose order gets
- 27:39Speaker 1: served at the window to the counter, merely the timing
- 27:42Speaker 1: that the orders were sent from the cashier and the
- 27:47Speaker 1: register and the orders to the grill screen. So I
- 27:50Speaker 1: don't know if that clears things up.
- 27:51Speaker 2: So why that I was wrong?
- 27:54Speaker 1: What were you wrong about?
- 27:55Speaker 2: I said that they go through all the drive through
- 27:58Speaker 2: people before they even touched you.
- 28:00Speaker 1: So in theory, yeah, a little bit wrong. But a
- 28:03Speaker 1: little bit.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Right.
- 28:04Speaker 1: So if you walk in and say to the McDonald's,
- 28:07Speaker 1: and there's nine vehicles already that put in an order
- 28:11Speaker 1: and you put yours in, you're gonna at least be ten.
- 28:13Speaker 1: And then if a mobile order comes in before, so
- 28:16Speaker 1: you could be standing there and still be twelve orders
- 28:19Speaker 1: deep because they came in front of you, you know
- 28:21Speaker 1: what I mean. So where you were, there's a busy
- 28:24Speaker 1: drive through. Does it merit them talking bad and being
- 28:29Speaker 1: jerks to us? No? No, no, no, but it is
- 28:34Speaker 1: what it is. So all right. Well, at the time
- 28:37Speaker 1: that this does come out, probably everybody's full. Everybody's having
- 28:42Speaker 1: a great Thanksgiving. Hopefully, hopefully your football teams are doing
- 28:44Speaker 1: all right. I know, I Liz. Buffalo Bills lost last
- 28:47Speaker 1: week on Thursday. Josh Allen needs to step it up
- 28:51Speaker 1: except for this week because the Steelers play the Bills.
- 28:55Speaker 1: The Bills to loose, and after they lose, there'll.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Be some tea years, but we're gonna win.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Hopefully, everybody's travel safe as a belly that is just
- 29:07Speaker 1: so full with all of it, but their hearts are
- 29:09Speaker 1: full even more with the love that they were with
- 29:14Speaker 1: friends and family. And hopefully your fridge is full of leftovers. Anyways,
- 29:21Speaker 1: when we have all these good leftovers in my fridge, islah, yeah,
- 29:24Speaker 1: better stay out of my fridge. We'll be back next week.
- 29:27Speaker 1: Everybody can't thank you enough. I like anything else to say.
- 29:30Speaker 2: Make sure to be kind to others and have a
- 29:34Speaker 2: great Thanksgiving.
- 29:35Speaker 1: What was that voice? We've been talking like this the
- 29:38Speaker 1: whole time, and then is that your YouTube voice? That's
- 29:41Speaker 1: your YouTube voice. Make sure that you are kind to
- 29:44Speaker 1: others and have a great what was that? Did you
- 29:49Speaker 1: notice your voice change?
- 29:50Speaker 2: Hall a great Thanksgiving?
- 29:53Speaker 1: To try to say what you just said in your
- 29:56Speaker 1: normal voice now and see if you.
- 29:57Speaker 2: Can have a great things.
- 30:01Speaker 1: All right, that's all we got. We'll be back next
- 30:03Speaker 1: week on real all right, Happy Thanksgiving everybody, and hopefully
- 30:08Speaker 1: you find some great Black Friday deals, right if everybody
- 30:13Speaker 1: wants some good stuff. Beard products love bearded use god
- 30:16Speaker 1: beard law Ye. All right, we'll be back next week.
- 30:20Speaker 1: Gome bye everybody, by by.
- 30:23Speaker 2: Knocking. Who's there?
- 30:25Speaker 3: It's the podcast, you toys, Stay out of my fish
- 30:30Speaker 3: ready to store, gotta tail. The tale gonna make you
