William Shatner’s metal band The uckers is making its debut at Riot Fest this September, bringing a wild ride of demands to Chicago — from a boat and billboard bearing his name to singing baseball anthems with Tom Skilling. The festival’s own rider? Fire breathers, a GWAR video intro, a DeLorean golf cart, and even adoptable puppies. Shatner’s first metal album, featuring covers of Sabbath and Maiden, will be backed by Ozzy’s ex-bassist and Vixen’s guitarist — all set to rock Douglass Park from September 18-20.
