Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, it's your person, Michelle. I guess still probably, and
- 0:04Speaker 1: I'm back, which makes sense because this is what I do.
- 0:08Speaker 1: And today we're gonna talk about the next episode of
- 0:11Speaker 1: eighty six. Yay. I don't have much else to say
- 0:14Speaker 1: besides that, because I don't know. But if you hear
- 0:19Speaker 1: wind chimes or birds in the background, it's because it's
- 0:25Speaker 1: warm outside. It's like eighty two degrees no, sorry, eighty
- 0:29Speaker 1: one degrees, thank you computer. And I have my windows
- 0:33Speaker 1: open because I only have, you know, window air conditioned units,
- 0:38Speaker 1: so we don't turn them on yet. It's not time.
- 0:40Speaker 1: It's fucking the middle of April, so now you know
- 0:45Speaker 1: how I operate. But anyway, my windows are open, so
- 0:48Speaker 1: you may hear some extraneous noises and I could close them,
- 0:52Speaker 1: but then I get super warm and annoyed, so I'm
- 0:54Speaker 1: not gonna do that anyway. That's all I got, really,
- 0:58Speaker 1: So let's just talk about eighty six like we're supposed to.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Episode seven of eighty six is called will You Remember Me?
- 1:07Speaker 1: Which makes me scared, honestly, and if you remember from
- 1:12Speaker 1: the last episode, actually, at the very end of episode six,
- 1:17Speaker 1: we had a conversation between Shin and Lena about his
- 1:21Speaker 1: brother and stuff, and she was about to eat a
- 1:24Speaker 1: piece of chocolate and the chocolate a heart on it,
- 1:26Speaker 1: and she got all stressed out and she was flushing
- 1:28Speaker 1: all over the place. So that's not exactly where we
- 1:31Speaker 1: start now at all. We start with a shot of
- 1:35Speaker 1: the night sky and it is August twenty fifth, twenty eight,
- 1:40Speaker 1: so that puts us roughly a month after Shin and
- 1:44Speaker 1: Lena's conversation in the last episode. We panned down onto
- 1:49Speaker 1: like a big field, you kind of like overgrown, no
- 1:53Speaker 1: longer used field, and I think it's probably a baseball field,
- 1:57Speaker 1: especially because Japan really likes baseball, so it would makes sense.
- 2:00Speaker 1: And there are a bunch of like Juggernauts sitting on
- 2:02Speaker 1: the field. Then we see an open like box like
- 2:06Speaker 1: a big crate with a bomb symbol on it and
- 2:10Speaker 1: like some broken caution tape around it. We cut to
- 2:13Speaker 1: a claw, like a big mechanical claw of some sort,
- 2:16Speaker 1: holding a match, and then we see that it is
- 2:19Speaker 1: lighting fireworks and they explode into the sky like you know,
- 2:22Speaker 1: yellowy gold, kind of like the standard firework color, I guess.
- 2:27Speaker 1: And then one of the spearhead people that we don't
- 2:30Speaker 1: know is like holding two sparklers, and he's like running
- 2:33Speaker 1: with them and like bothering the other kids, and like
- 2:36Speaker 1: one of them kind of kicks one of the sparklers away,
- 2:39Speaker 1: and then we cut to Hotuto and some other kids
- 2:42Speaker 1: that we don't know, and they're doing like spinny firecrackers
- 2:45Speaker 1: on the ground, which I looked up and are called
- 2:47Speaker 1: ground spinners, so now I know, which makes plenty of sense.
- 2:51Speaker 1: So like spinning those on the ground. Rydan is watching
- 2:55Speaker 1: everybody like fuck around with the fireworks, and he looks
- 2:59Speaker 1: over and sees that Anju is not participating. She's actually
- 3:03Speaker 1: just sitting and crying. THEO also looks over at her briefly,
- 3:06Speaker 1: and you know, we don't see her eyes, so we
- 3:08Speaker 1: can just see the tears streaming down her face. Karina
- 3:12Speaker 1: looks up at the bleachers where Shin is sitting alone,
- 3:16Speaker 1: and it looks like his mouth is moving like he's
- 3:18Speaker 1: talking to someone. And he's alone, so he's probably talking
- 3:22Speaker 1: to Lena. Okay, I guess they just hang out and talk. Now. Anyway,
- 3:28Speaker 1: lots of fireworks are going off, and then we go
- 3:30Speaker 1: to the opening theme. Awesome, I guess. And it's important
- 3:33Speaker 1: that I mentioned that there are now eight people standing
- 3:36Speaker 1: in that field of red spider lilies. I think there
- 3:38Speaker 1: were only six last time, so some people have died. Yay.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Back from the opening, we're looking at a piece of
- 3:45Speaker 1: paper on like a clipboard, and it apparently is a
- 3:47Speaker 1: supply order form of some sort, and it says from
- 3:51Speaker 1: first Division HQ, First UTV Corps, Eastern Army to First
- 3:57Speaker 1: UTV Squadron, National Army Applied Depot, will ship military equipment
- 4:02Speaker 1: to your division. See attached packing list for the item shifts.
- 4:06Speaker 1: And then we see Carl Stall's signature under it. We
- 4:08Speaker 1: can see Lena's hands. She's holding a pen and hovering
- 4:11Speaker 1: over the space where she needs to put her signature,
- 4:14Speaker 1: and then we cut to a guy standing at a
- 4:16Speaker 1: counter of some sort and he says supplies for the
- 4:20Speaker 1: Spearhead Squadron in Combat District one. We see it it
- 4:24Speaker 1: is August fifteenth, twenty one forty eight, so ten days
- 4:27Speaker 1: before those fireworks. Lena is now signing, and the guy
- 4:30Speaker 1: at the counter looks behind her suspiciously at that box
- 4:33Speaker 1: that we saw earlier, like the big crate that has
- 4:36Speaker 1: a bomb on it, and he says, major, what's inside
- 4:40Speaker 1: that box? Lena's like special ammunition the guy says, what's
- 4:46Speaker 1: really in it? Lena lays some money out on the
- 4:50Speaker 1: counter and slides it towards the guy and puts his
- 4:53Speaker 1: hands over it. He seems kind of surprised. Maybe he's
- 4:58Speaker 1: not used to getting bribes, or maybe he did think
- 5:00Speaker 1: Lena would try to bribe him. Lena is shaking at
- 5:03Speaker 1: this point and really trying hard to smile, but it
- 5:06Speaker 1: does not look convincing, and she says special ammunition. Her
- 5:11Speaker 1: hat like slides slightly off her head as she says this,
- 5:16Speaker 1: and it just makes it even less convincing than it
- 5:18Speaker 1: already was. Now we cut to her walking down a hall,
- 5:22Speaker 1: looking at her empty while and then she sighs, and
- 5:25Speaker 1: we hear a voice say a little more to the right.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Someone like two people I guess are putting up a
- 5:30Speaker 1: poster on a wall, because obviously someone is telling them
- 5:33Speaker 1: if it's centered or not, and the other one's putting
- 5:35Speaker 1: it up. And then the voice says, okay, stop. It
- 5:38Speaker 1: is a poster for the Revolution Festival, which takes place
- 5:40Speaker 1: on August twenty fifth, which is the same day that
- 5:42Speaker 1: we saw the fireworks just a couple minutes ago, so
- 5:46Speaker 1: makes sense. Lena looks up at the poster as she's
- 5:48Speaker 1: passing by, and she is just having a really bad day.
- 5:52Speaker 1: She trips over her feet and just crashes to the ground.
- 5:56Speaker 1: The two guys who are working on the poster look
- 5:58Speaker 1: over and salute at her, and one says, ma'am. The
- 6:01Speaker 1: other one says, want to join in the festivities. Major
- 6:04Speaker 1: Lena gets herself to her feet as quickly as possible
- 6:07Speaker 1: and then just walks off without saying anything to these guys,
- 6:10Speaker 1: and they just turn and smirk at each other. Yeah,
- 6:13Speaker 1: she is not well liked. She pulls her cap down
- 6:16Speaker 1: over her face, but she is just bright fucking red
- 6:20Speaker 1: and she sighs. They chuckle as she walks off. At
- 6:24Speaker 1: this point, the alert that I think is on her
- 6:26Speaker 1: phone goes off, and we cut to her sitting down
- 6:29Speaker 1: at the desk place in that control room and she says,
- 6:33Speaker 1: initiate ID confirmation LAT Alena Malise, Eastern Theater Combat District one,
- 6:38Speaker 1: Defense Unit one Command and Control Officer, Power raid Activate
- 6:42Speaker 1: Synchronization target spearhead processors. She presses the power raid on
- 6:47Speaker 1: the back of her neck and it lights up. From there,
- 6:49Speaker 1: we cut to the street and it's nights and Lena
- 6:53Speaker 1: is walking. She's holding a bunch of flowers, and she
- 6:56Speaker 1: looks like really exhausted and upsets. So maybe this is
- 6:59Speaker 1: after the events that just took place, with whatever happened
- 7:04Speaker 1: with the battle, I guess. Anyway, she's walking down this
- 7:07Speaker 1: like really narrow brick paved street or maybe alley with
- 7:10Speaker 1: like houses on both sides. It looks very European, and
- 7:13Speaker 1: there are some teens like a little bit ahead of her,
- 7:16Speaker 1: and they like run by, laughing. And then we cut
- 7:19Speaker 1: to the statue of that woman with the sword and
- 7:21Speaker 1: the flag that we see all over the place. That's
- 7:23Speaker 1: probably somebody really important, but no one has explained it yet,
- 7:26Speaker 1: and we hear this click and the statue is illuminated.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Lena's eyes widen. There's a crowd in this square and
- 7:34Speaker 1: they're like whoa. Apparently there's a festival going on in
- 7:38Speaker 1: the square and there's like tens and shit and like
- 7:41Speaker 1: music and like people are walking around. Maybe they're buying things,
- 7:44Speaker 1: I don't really know. There's a lot of guys that
- 7:47Speaker 1: are drunk, and someone's taking pictures and the flash is
- 7:51Speaker 1: going off and these kids are like playing really happily. Anyway,
- 7:56Speaker 1: Lena is looking at all of this and she thinks
- 7:58Speaker 1: of Karina saying, it is that hard, you should just quit.
- 8:02Speaker 1: That person's camera flashes again and the screen goes white.
- 8:06Speaker 1: We cut to like one of the screens in kind
- 8:09Speaker 1: of the control room where has all the positions of
- 8:11Speaker 1: the Juggernauts, and we hear Karina say, we don't really
- 8:15Speaker 1: need you for anything. Nothing changes if we don't have
- 8:17Speaker 1: a control officer. Lena says, Lieutenant Cucamila. Karina cuts her off.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Listening to you trying to keep from losing it when
- 8:25Speaker 1: you're not even here as distracting. Lena is now looking
- 8:28Speaker 1: at the roster screen that has like the destroyed units
- 8:31Speaker 1: and everybody's unit stats on it, and she says, they
- 8:35Speaker 1: don't bother you and the others. She's starting to sweat
- 8:38Speaker 1: those voices. We get a really quick cut to that
- 8:42Speaker 1: kind of upside down shot of Kaye when Lena imagined
- 8:46Speaker 1: her in her room, saying I don't want to die,
- 8:49Speaker 1: and then back to now. Lena's eyes widen and she
- 8:53Speaker 1: hears it hurts. The background changes. She looks up in
- 8:57Speaker 1: fear and drops her flowers. But everything's okay. It's just
- 9:01Speaker 1: some kid who like fell down or something, and he's like,
- 9:04Speaker 1: really upset. His mom leans over and is like, you
- 9:07Speaker 1: gotta be more careful, and the kid's like, mommy. The
- 9:10Speaker 1: mom lifts him up and they start to walk off,
- 9:13Speaker 1: and the mom's like, you silly child. Yeah, we hear
- 9:17Speaker 1: Karina say, even without chin processors have to listen to
- 9:21Speaker 1: dying screams all the time. We see a bunch of
- 9:23Speaker 1: Alba like sitting outside in that square, eating like at
- 9:27Speaker 1: a restaurant, Karina continues, and dying instantly when your juggernaut
- 9:31Speaker 1: explodes is one of the best ways to go. We
- 9:33Speaker 1: see a guy eating steak. Karina continues. We've all seen
- 9:37Speaker 1: our friends get their limbs blown off, their faces ripped
- 9:40Speaker 1: to shreds, their bodies burned all over, or their stomachs
- 9:42Speaker 1: ripped open and their guts pouring out. We see some
- 9:45Speaker 1: of the elbows pouring wine and cutting cake, and Lena
- 9:48Speaker 1: covers her mouth and gasps. See a couple laughing on
- 9:51Speaker 1: a bench and talking with each other. Karina continues, screaming
- 9:55Speaker 1: in pain as they died. A mascot is given a
- 9:59Speaker 1: kid a balloon, Karina continues, Compared to that, the voices
- 10:03Speaker 1: of the long dead are nothing. Lena looks like she's
- 10:06Speaker 1: gonna throw up, and she drops to her knees and
- 10:09Speaker 1: a red balloon flies up over her into the sky.
- 10:12Speaker 1: And I wonder if this is supposed to be a
- 10:15Speaker 1: reference to ninety nine loof balloons or ninety nine red balloons,
- 10:20Speaker 1: But I don't really know, and I'm not very smart,
- 10:22Speaker 1: so I'm just putting that out there anyway, Karina continues,
- 10:26Speaker 1: any of us could die at any time. We cut
- 10:29Speaker 1: back to the statue of that woman again, and the
- 10:31Speaker 1: balloon travels higher and higher into the atmosphere. We cut
- 10:36Speaker 1: back to Lena's window sill and the flowers are in
- 10:40Speaker 1: the vase on it now or v oz whatever, And
- 10:44Speaker 1: next to the flowers is that glass box with all
- 10:47Speaker 1: the little dead Juggernaut faces, and it looks like there's
- 10:50Speaker 1: significantly more of them in there now yay. Lena is
- 10:54Speaker 1: sitting at her desk and she is holding a cup
- 10:56Speaker 1: of tea. It's like in a really fancy white and
- 10:59Speaker 1: green yellow striped cup with like scalloped edges. Super nice. Anyway,
- 11:05Speaker 1: she puts down and she says, good evening. Everyone. We
- 11:09Speaker 1: hear right in, say, I hear you loud and clear.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Major Sorry, it's just this guy's tonight. Lena says, Lieutenant Shuga,
- 11:17Speaker 1: where's Captain Nosen? Hold On? Did something happen in battle today? Okay,
- 11:23Speaker 1: I just want to stop there really really quick because
- 11:26Speaker 1: I'm confused. So what do you mean? She doesn't know
- 11:29Speaker 1: what happened in battle today? So obviously what Karna said
- 11:33Speaker 1: was from the battle that day. So what did she
- 11:36Speaker 1: just leave the call after she said that? That would
- 11:39Speaker 1: be not great, right, I mean, she probably shouldn't do that,
- 11:43Speaker 1: because I'm sure she is valuable. But I do want
- 11:46Speaker 1: to point out that if she's freaking out when she's
- 11:48Speaker 1: hearing those voices like Karina is implying, she probably is
- 11:51Speaker 1: super annoying and distracting. But we haven't seen her freak
- 11:55Speaker 1: out except for that one first time, so I don't
- 11:57Speaker 1: know if Karina is just saying shit because she doesn't
- 11:59Speaker 1: like her, or or if she's being really accurate. Anyway,
- 12:02Speaker 1: Lena's all scared because she doesn't know what happened with Shin,
- 12:05Speaker 1: and Righton says, no, he's just sleeping. He says he's tired.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Lena's like I see writing continues. It happens sometimes. I
- 12:15Speaker 1: we don't know, we don't really know the truth, but
- 12:18Speaker 1: it's like, probably really exhausting, never getting a break twenty
- 12:22Speaker 1: four hours a day. Lena's like, because of the voices
- 12:26Speaker 1: of the legion. THEO says, it's not something you can
- 12:29Speaker 1: do anything about. We just get tired sometimes being here
- 12:32Speaker 1: and all. Lana's like, he's tired, yes, but the stress
- 12:36Speaker 1: on all of you is increasing with all these casualties, right.
- 12:40Speaker 1: It's like, yeah, Lana continues, you haven't been given a
- 12:43Speaker 1: new member since I arrived. I'll make it happen faster.
- 12:46Speaker 1: I'll do everything I can to make it a top priority.
- 12:49Speaker 1: There's this really long pause and then Lena says, Lieutenant Shuga, right,
- 12:55Speaker 1: and it's like, yeah, that'd be good. Yeah, I don't
- 12:59Speaker 1: know what that means, but it's not good. Lena continues,
- 13:03Speaker 1: This unit is defending our most important base. It has
- 13:06Speaker 1: the right to receive reinforcements. First, we see that like
- 13:10Speaker 1: peg board corkboard that she has, and there are thirteen
- 13:13Speaker 1: faces still left on the board. Lena continues, until then,
- 13:17Speaker 1: I'll continue to request reinforcements from the surrounding unit, So
- 13:20Speaker 1: please hang in there a little longer. Brighten's like, yeah,
- 13:25Speaker 1: THEO says, thanks, I guess We kind of cut to
- 13:29Speaker 1: a shot of her from outside the window, like of
- 13:31Speaker 1: us looking in, and she says, of course, a car
- 13:35Speaker 1: passes by. We can kind of see the reflection of
- 13:37Speaker 1: its lights in the window. I think we're in a
- 13:39Speaker 1: different scene now. Lena looks super determined and she knocks
- 13:43Speaker 1: on a door. It's August sixteenth, twenty one, forty eight.
- 13:47Speaker 1: So the very next day, Carlstahl is at his desk.
- 13:50Speaker 1: His arms are crossed, and I guess Lena is standing
- 13:53Speaker 1: in front of him. There's a box of cigars and
- 13:55Speaker 1: a bottle of wine on the desk and have little
- 13:58Speaker 1: bows on them, like maybe they're a gift, maybe they're
- 14:00Speaker 1: a bribe, because that's what Lena's doing right now, apparently anyway.
- 14:04Speaker 1: He says, so you decided to overstep and complain directly
- 14:08Speaker 1: to me Major Malise. I feel like that's what she does.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Lena says, Sir, I can't wait any longer for replacements
- 14:16Speaker 1: for Spearhead. I'll do anything to help them, even beg
- 14:18Speaker 1: you for aid. Carl Stall does not look happy about this.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Lena continues, I've gone to every department for help, but
- 14:26Speaker 1: Carl Stal cuts her off. The resupply and process her
- 14:29Speaker 1: replacement plans are a settled matter. Lena's like, what. Carlstak continues,
- 14:34Speaker 1: I've already informed them of your request. You probably don't know,
- 14:37Speaker 1: as it's still an internal matter. Lena says, really, we're
- 14:42Speaker 1: finally getting supplies. Carlstall's like, so do your duty as
- 14:46Speaker 1: best as you can. Are you ready for the Revolution
- 14:48Speaker 1: Festival party? Weird pivot, dude. Lena's like, Carlstaal says, attend
- 14:54Speaker 1: the party in a proper dress. Isn't that the real
- 14:57Speaker 1: job of a daughter of the Malise family? What the fuck, dude? No,
- 15:02Speaker 1: Lena just kind of stares at him and then smiles
- 15:05Speaker 1: in the nicest way possible and says, understood. I don't
- 15:11Speaker 1: think it's understood, guys. Anyway. We cut to a super
- 15:15Speaker 1: ornate chandelier, like multiple tears hanging from the ceiling, and
- 15:19Speaker 1: it's like a painted ceiling, like ornately painted, and it
- 15:24Speaker 1: is August twenty fifth, twenty forty eight. So back to
- 15:27Speaker 1: where we were with the fireworks at the beginning of
- 15:30Speaker 1: the episode. We see three hands clink glasses of champagne together,
- 15:33Speaker 1: and there are people talking and we see Annette's but
- 15:37Speaker 1: not Lena, and Annette says, Lena listen. She does not
- 15:42Speaker 1: look pleased. We cut to Lena, who is wearing just
- 15:46Speaker 1: the worst outfits for this events. I mean, she could
- 15:50Speaker 1: have been wearing it like a tracksuit, but no, she's
- 15:52Speaker 1: wearing an all black dress, like flour length, no sleeved
- 15:56Speaker 1: black dress with these giant black gloves. It's so fucking cool.
- 16:02Speaker 1: She is so fucking cool. Guys, this is not an
- 16:06Speaker 1: appropriate dress for a party anyway, Annette says, what made
- 16:11Speaker 1: you think that that would be a good choice. It's
- 16:13Speaker 1: pure black. It's like you're in mourning exactly. She is
- 16:17Speaker 1: in mourning. Lena raises like the side of her dress
- 16:21Speaker 1: like she's gonna havel, curtsy or something with one hand,
- 16:24Speaker 1: and she says, it's wonderful, isn't it? Thanks to this,
- 16:27Speaker 1: no one's asked me to dance. I fucking love you.
- 16:30Speaker 1: That is what I would do, not really because I
- 16:33Speaker 1: don't want to wear a dress, but I have nothing
- 16:36Speaker 1: but respect for this show of disdain. Great fucking job, Lena.
- 16:41Speaker 1: To add some more context to this, there are some
- 16:43Speaker 1: guys hanging out nearby and they are very very clearly
- 16:47Speaker 1: staring at Lena, and Annette says, I mean, I agree
- 16:51Speaker 1: that this party is stupid and boring, But that doesn't
- 16:54Speaker 1: mean that looking nice is a bad thing. Fuck you, Annette.
- 16:57Speaker 1: She looks gorgeous anyway. Lena says, well, I think it
- 17:03Speaker 1: looks nice enough for me. She kind of shrugs. Annette
- 17:07Speaker 1: says that's not the issue. She kind of gasps and
- 17:10Speaker 1: then turns away and she's like trying to hide her
- 17:12Speaker 1: face with her hands. Lena's like, what's wrong? Annette says,
- 17:17Speaker 1: one of my fiances is over there, the one who
- 17:20Speaker 1: sent me those fancy new suites. She kind of glances
- 17:23Speaker 1: back at this group of guys behind them, and then
- 17:25Speaker 1: she's like, see you, Lena. She walks off, And as
- 17:29Speaker 1: she walks off, like one of the guys in that
- 17:31Speaker 1: group notices clearly the one that's supposed to be her
- 17:34Speaker 1: fiance type thing and looks like super confused as to
- 17:37Speaker 1: why he's being avoided. Lena says, there's a rumbling sound
- 17:41Speaker 1: and then her power rate goes off, and Shin says major.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Lena's like, is something wrong? Captain knows him? Is it
- 17:49Speaker 1: the Legion? Yeah, you fucking wish. She's like walking owards
- 17:53Speaker 1: the window and she looks outside. Chin says, no, you
- 17:56Speaker 1: didn't call it the usual time, so I thought i'd
- 17:59Speaker 1: check in. Is ever think, Okay, if you're busy, I
- 18:01Speaker 1: can contact you another day. He's like, just the fucking
- 18:04Speaker 1: sweetest And I love that Lena has like a specific
- 18:06Speaker 1: time that she calls, because that's how I roll when
- 18:08Speaker 1: I call people, too, And it's really weird anyway. Lena
- 18:12Speaker 1: exhales and she's like, I'm fine. She walks outside onto
- 18:16Speaker 1: the balcony. Sorry, this is the time I usually call,
- 18:19Speaker 1: isn't it. What's wrong? Shin's like, I wanted to let
- 18:23Speaker 1: you know that the special ammunition arrived. Lena's like what.
- 18:27Speaker 1: She hears fireworks in the power raid background and she's
- 18:31Speaker 1: like it got there safely. Huh. Chin says, yeah, thank
- 18:35Speaker 1: you for the fireworks. Lena's like, well, it's the Revolution festival,
- 18:40Speaker 1: after all, you saw them with your brother and parents once, right,
- 18:43Speaker 1: I'm sure the others have similar memories. Jin says, it's
- 18:47Speaker 1: a revolution festival tradition. Huh. Can you see the fireworks
- 18:50Speaker 1: from the palace lunier where you are? Lena is looking
- 18:53Speaker 1: around and she's like, h and we see that there
- 18:56Speaker 1: are fireworks off in the distance, like at the horizon,
- 18:59Speaker 1: and she says I can, but the sky's too bright.
- 19:03Speaker 1: It looks fine, Lena, you can see them fine. The
- 19:06Speaker 1: night's dark and the air is clean. I wish we
- 19:08Speaker 1: could see them. She stops abruptly and looks down. Someday
- 19:12Speaker 1: let's all watch the fireworks and district one together. I'm
- 19:15Speaker 1: sure you'll laugh, though. Shin kind of scoffs, and he's like,
- 19:19Speaker 1: I don't remember it being that bad. Lena's like, well,
- 19:22Speaker 1: then you'll have to see for yourself when the war
- 19:25Speaker 1: is over, when you leave the army, we can all
- 19:27Speaker 1: watch together. There's a pause, and then she says, I
- 19:32Speaker 1: wish Lieutenant Irma and the others could have seen them too. Sorry,
- 19:36Speaker 1: my timing was bad again, wasn't it. Shin's like, no,
- 19:40Speaker 1: this is the first time you've been able to give
- 19:41Speaker 1: them a proper gun salute. I'm sure they're pleased. They
- 19:44Speaker 1: never liked the mushy stuff anyway, Na says, I see
- 19:49Speaker 1: she is just kind of looking up at the fireworks peacefully.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Shinn says Auntie was finally able to cry a little
- 19:56Speaker 1: while ago, but of course makes Lena look less happy.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Shin continues, She's the type to keep things to herself,
- 20:03Speaker 1: so it meant a lot. Lena looks down, totally just
- 20:08Speaker 1: destroyed emotionally now and says she won't forget Lieutenant Irma.
- 20:13Speaker 1: She closes her eyes. Shin says, none of us. Will
- 20:17Speaker 1: you remember my brother right? Lena opens her eyes and
- 20:21Speaker 1: Shin says, that made me happy. Ana kind of rubs
- 20:25Speaker 1: her thumb on her other thumb. Shin continues, because I
- 20:29Speaker 1: wasn't able to remember him, Lena says, Captain knowsen. Shin continues,
- 20:35Speaker 1: will you remember us as well? Major fuck? Lena jolts
- 20:40Speaker 1: and then kind of outstretches her arm towards the fireworks.
- 20:44Speaker 1: She just kind of silent for a second, her mouth
- 20:46Speaker 1: kind of hanging open, and then she finally closes it
- 20:49Speaker 1: and says, course I will. Her hand curls into a
- 20:53Speaker 1: fist and it's shaking. But before that, I'm not gonna
- 20:58Speaker 1: let you die. A single firework rockets upwards and explodes
- 21:02Speaker 1: in the sky. It's a really pink one, and she continues,
- 21:07Speaker 1: I won't let anyone else die. I don't think you're
- 21:11Speaker 1: gonna have a choice, but okay. The sparks drift down
- 21:15Speaker 1: behind the San Magnolian flag, which is somewhere I guess,
- 21:20Speaker 1: and then we go with the title card episode seven,
- 21:23Speaker 1: Will you remember Me? So that's where the name probably
- 21:27Speaker 1: comes from. Yay. Anyway, of course, that's not the end
- 21:31Speaker 1: of the episode. So now we see this big like
- 21:36Speaker 1: cargo plane I guess, on a runway, on like a
- 21:39Speaker 1: really cracked up looking runway, and its back is open,
- 21:44Speaker 1: and there are some guys doing stuff like army guys,
- 21:49Speaker 1: and Fido is like walking around, and it says August
- 21:52Speaker 1: twenty fifth, twenty eight, so I guess it's earlier that day.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Shin is looking at a clipboard with something on it
- 21:59Speaker 1: and standing in front of like a bunch of boxes
- 22:01Speaker 1: of supplies, and we hear someone say, hey, eighty six,
- 22:06Speaker 1: this one too. Shin looks over and there's these three
- 22:09Speaker 1: guys standing around that big chest that we keep seeing now,
- 22:13Speaker 1: and the guy who's in front says, it's a present
- 22:16Speaker 1: from your master, supposedly, as if a pig deserves a
- 22:18Speaker 1: present from a human, how'd you manage to get her
- 22:20Speaker 1: to sign off on it? Beg. Shin reacts as commonly
- 22:26Speaker 1: as Shin always reacts, and he's just flipping through the papers,
- 22:29Speaker 1: which I guess has the contents of the supplies on them,
- 22:32Speaker 1: and on the second page, like at the bottom of
- 22:34Speaker 1: the list, it says custom warhead, which is translated into
- 22:38Speaker 1: Japanese on the side because it's in English, but then
- 22:40Speaker 1: it's translated back from Japanese into English in this crunchy
- 22:44Speaker 1: roll version, and it says special ammunition, which is super
- 22:48Speaker 1: weird because like, who fucked that up? It says custom
- 22:51Speaker 1: warhead on the fucking paper on the screen. Why wouldn't
- 22:55Speaker 1: you just write that again? Why wouldn't you just stick
- 22:57Speaker 1: with that translation? I don't know anyway, that annoying guy says,
- 23:01Speaker 1: we're busy with the festival. Two now we cut too,
- 23:04Speaker 1: kind of gets the black inside of the chest, and
- 23:07Speaker 1: from like the chest's interior point of view as Chin
- 23:10Speaker 1: opens it, then we see the contents, which is just
- 23:14Speaker 1: like a ton of fireworks and how to toe who's
- 23:17Speaker 1: walking over says what's up? Right, AND's like, yeah, what's up, Shin?
- 23:21Speaker 1: And Shin takes a firework out of the box to
- 23:24Speaker 1: look at it and right, and it's like, what is it?
- 23:29Speaker 1: THEO says fireworks? There are so many. Karina is carrying
- 23:34Speaker 1: a box nearby, and she looks over, but then she
- 23:36Speaker 1: just kind of walks off and how to too's like
- 23:39Speaker 1: from the major Wow. We cut now to a shower
- 23:43Speaker 1: head spring water down onto something, and then a towel
- 23:48Speaker 1: on a bench, and we hear Karina say, hey, Onju,
- 23:53Speaker 1: we hear onjusay, what is it? We see that they
- 23:56Speaker 1: are both showering naked. Obviously we just kind of see
- 23:59Speaker 1: the back of them, so we kind of like see
- 24:02Speaker 1: Karina's like, but but we don't see their front parts
- 24:06Speaker 1: because they're facing away and Aunngi has very long hair,
- 24:09Speaker 1: so we basically don't see much of her at all,
- 24:12Speaker 1: which is good. I guess it doesn't really matter. They're
- 24:14Speaker 1: showering and it's just like I guess a wet room
- 24:17Speaker 1: and has three shower heads and there's like no separation
- 24:21Speaker 1: between them or anything. Anyway, Karina says, I'm wondering if
- 24:25Speaker 1: we could tell her, tell her what she's sending us,
- 24:28Speaker 1: like presents and stuff. Now, Anju says, are you worried
- 24:33Speaker 1: about her? Karina kind of jumps and blushes and she's like, no,
- 24:37Speaker 1: why would I be worried about her? But well, she
- 24:41Speaker 1: wasn't scared of Shin, so I think it'd be okay.
- 24:44Speaker 1: That's all. Are smiles and makes kind of like a hm,
- 24:50Speaker 1: Karina says, Shin righting and the others none of them
- 24:53Speaker 1: are saying anything about it. Au looks kind of sad,
- 24:56Speaker 1: and Karina continues, if we told her she'd stop calling in,
- 24:59Speaker 1: that would probably be better for us. An just like, yeah,
- 25:04Speaker 1: I remember what Kaye said to her. Krana says, she's
- 25:08Speaker 1: not a bad person, so she shouldn't be involved with us,
- 25:11Speaker 1: And just like, I think that's why Shin and Reraiden
- 25:15Speaker 1: can bring themselves to say anything. They think it had
- 25:18Speaker 1: hurt her. What Anju pushes some of her hair kind
- 25:24Speaker 1: of over her shoulder because I guess she had been
- 25:25Speaker 1: kind of washing it before, and we briefly see part
- 25:28Speaker 1: of her back as the hairs kind of shift over it,
- 25:31Speaker 1: and there's a scar on there, multiple scars actually, and
- 25:34Speaker 1: there are definitely words we can't see what they say.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Karina kind of takes a quick glance when this happens
- 25:41Speaker 1: and then looks away quickly and says, Anju, are you
- 25:45Speaker 1: okay on just like with what Krana continues, You've never
- 25:51Speaker 1: taken a shower around anyone before. Aju says, I think
- 25:56Speaker 1: it's okay now. Honestly, it's just the two of us,
- 25:59Speaker 1: there's no need to hide it. She pauses for a second.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Dia said, I had pretty hair when we first met.
- 26:07Speaker 1: He knew that I was growing my hair out to
- 26:09Speaker 1: hide it, but he asked if I was growing it
- 26:11Speaker 1: out just because it was so pretty. Karina just kind
- 26:15Speaker 1: of stares at her on she continues, I has gone now,
- 26:19Speaker 1: so I think it's silly to keep worrying about it.
- 26:21Speaker 1: She takes deep breath and then turns back to Karina says,
- 26:26Speaker 1: what about you. Don't you want to tell her? Krana's
- 26:30Speaker 1: lips part and then her face kind of falls into
- 26:33Speaker 1: a frown. We can't see her eyes because her hair
- 26:37Speaker 1: is like in her face, but some water drips down
- 26:40Speaker 1: both of her cheeks and kind of plinks into the
- 26:44Speaker 1: puddle on the ground, and it really really looks like tears,
- 26:49Speaker 1: and she says, no, I don't think it's right. What
- 26:53Speaker 1: what's not right? From there, we cut to a pool
- 26:57Speaker 1: of blood in the dirt, and we see a destroyed
- 27:01Speaker 1: juggernaut with like its cockpit open and someone's inside who
- 27:04Speaker 1: might be dead. Karina is standing a little bit off
- 27:08Speaker 1: in the distance, looking at it like it's in a ditch,
- 27:10Speaker 1: and she's kind of standing outside of the ditch, and
- 27:13Speaker 1: this is in some sort of like ruined city, like
- 27:16Speaker 1: all of the cities right now, and she looks like
- 27:19Speaker 1: she notices something, and then we see that Shin has
- 27:22Speaker 1: walked over to the Juggernaut and he's talking to the pilots.
- 27:26Speaker 1: The pilot, who is someone we do not know, smiles peacefully,
- 27:31Speaker 1: and then she just fucking shoots him. As Corona watches us,
- 27:36Speaker 1: the clouds kind of part and the sun peaks through.
- 27:39Speaker 1: Shin lowers his gun, and Karna's eyes widen and she thinks,
- 27:43Speaker 1: even if we die, our reaper will take us there.
- 27:46Speaker 1: What the fuck? We cut to fireworks and Karina is
- 27:51Speaker 1: holding a sparkler upside down, which is apparently not how
- 27:55Speaker 1: you're supposed to hold them, and we're in kind of
- 27:57Speaker 1: first person perspective, and she thinks, I know he'll take
- 28:01Speaker 1: me there, but the sparklet gars out. Shin is sitting
- 28:05Speaker 1: in the stands. Karina continues, but then what about Shin?
- 28:11Speaker 1: The cloud's part and he is bathed in the moonlight.
- 28:16Speaker 1: Who will carry his heart? It's August twenty seventh, twenty eight,
- 28:20Speaker 1: so two days later, and a Juggernaut steps into a puddle.
- 28:25Speaker 1: We see shins insignia on the side of the Juggernaut.
- 28:27Speaker 1: It's very faded at this point, and here Lena say
- 28:32Speaker 1: Undertaker report. Shinn says, all personnel are ready to attack
- 28:36Speaker 1: on the Legion forward base. Don't forget this base is
- 28:39Speaker 1: a decoy. Watch for ambushers in the surrounding areas. When
- 28:42Speaker 1: we've lured them out of their holes. Two teams from
- 28:45Speaker 1: the fourth platoon will attack. At this we see a
- 28:48Speaker 1: gigantic missile like break through the clouds and strike a Juggernauts.
- 28:53Speaker 1: We cut two fireworks, Haduto smiling with a sparkler and
- 28:58Speaker 1: THEO with a sparkler as well, and then back to
- 29:00Speaker 1: another large explosion. We see THEO, Ridin and Corina's terrified
- 29:05Speaker 1: faces and Shin is shouting something that we can't hear.
- 29:09Speaker 1: The Juggernauts run as a building collapses behind them, and
- 29:13Speaker 1: another giant blast breaks through the clouds and hits another Juggernaut.
- 29:18Speaker 1: We cuts to one of the kids with the sparkler,
- 29:21Speaker 1: and then back to a Juggernaut getting tossed and landing
- 29:24Speaker 1: super fucking hard, and then to another of the Spearhead
- 29:27Speaker 1: Squadron smiling brightly as the fireworks go off, and then
- 29:33Speaker 1: Lena says, analysis complete launch points at one hundred and
- 29:37Speaker 1: twenty kilometers east northeast. Estimated speed of launches four thousand
- 29:42Speaker 1: meters per second. I feel like that's really fast. Shin
- 29:46Speaker 1: looks super frustrated, and Lena continues, it's an ultra long
- 29:50Speaker 1: range artillery cannon, one we've never seen before. Sin gasps
- 29:54Speaker 1: and his eyes widen. We hear a bit of static,
- 29:56Speaker 1: and his brother's blue and red face like cuts in
- 29:59Speaker 1: in super imposed for a second. We can only see
- 30:03Speaker 1: Shin's mouth, but he looks surprised, and then he smiles
- 30:06Speaker 1: a little bit because he's kind of fucked up. And
- 30:10Speaker 1: Lena continues, I'm calling off the mission. Shin's shock looked
- 30:14Speaker 1: returns and he gasps and it looks like he gasps,
- 30:18Speaker 1: but it's totally inaudible, and Lena says, retreat, Please retreat.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Shin says Roger. We see the clouds still punctured by
- 30:27Speaker 1: those four missile holes. The punctured clouds fade into like
- 30:32Speaker 1: a field of grass with lots of puddles in them
- 30:36Speaker 1: and wrappers from the fireworks. So I guess they're in
- 30:39Speaker 1: that baseball field again, and they're eight juggernauts sitting on
- 30:42Speaker 1: the fields, and then we see that Spearhead is taking
- 30:46Speaker 1: shelter in Like what I think is the dugout, like
- 30:50Speaker 1: you know underneath the bleachers. It has been raining, and
- 30:53Speaker 1: I think the rain is slowly stopping. And right And says,
- 30:57Speaker 1: seems like we shook off our pursuers. Lana says, I'll
- 31:01Speaker 1: get you more personnel. I'll make it happen today. Shin says, Major, Right,
- 31:07Speaker 1: didn't THEO look over at him. Lana's like, this doesn't
- 31:10Speaker 1: make any sense. The General already said they had a
- 31:12Speaker 1: plan to bring in replacements, Shin says Major Malise. Lana gasps.
- 31:17Speaker 1: Shin turns to the group and says, everyone, you're okay
- 31:21Speaker 1: with us? Right? What? Right? AND's like yeah, theon nods
- 31:27Speaker 1: and no one else says anything, so I guess they're
- 31:30Speaker 1: okay with it. Lana's like what, Shin says, Major, that's enough.
- 31:37Speaker 1: Nothing you do will change a thing. Lana's like, Captain
- 31:41Speaker 1: knows in what are you saying? Chen says no replacements
- 31:45Speaker 1: are coming, not a single one ever. Lana's like what.
- 31:52Speaker 1: Shin continues, We're going to be wiped out. This unit
- 31:56Speaker 1: is an execution ground. What we cut to some rubble
- 32:00Speaker 1: like falling into a puddle, and I don't know where
- 32:02Speaker 1: it fell from. It was weird. But the wind is
- 32:05Speaker 1: picking up and the grass is blowing in the breeze,
- 32:07Speaker 1: and the puddles have ripples in it. Now there's a
- 32:10Speaker 1: long pause, and then Lena says, what are you saying
- 32:15Speaker 1: on juice? Like the replacements you're talking about, they're processors
- 32:19Speaker 1: that come after us. We see how to Toe's reflection
- 32:22Speaker 1: upside down in a puddle for some reason, and he says,
- 32:26Speaker 1: she means, after we're dead. We just got some brand
- 32:28Speaker 1: new juggernauts. Those are for them. We see the sand
- 32:33Speaker 1: Magnolian flag laying in a puddle, just filthy. Lena says,
- 32:39Speaker 1: huh shin kind of inaudibly size and then maybe smiles slightly.
- 32:45Speaker 1: And Raydon's like, the white pigs don't intend to let
- 32:50Speaker 1: a single eighty six out of the eighty six district.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Theo's like, they can script us with that whole five
- 32:56Speaker 1: years and then you'll be out there as bait and
- 32:58Speaker 1: then they get us killed, our pigs. It's terrible. Lena
- 33:02Speaker 1: is like, that's that's impossible, right In says, the vast
- 33:07Speaker 1: majority of processors die before their terms up. So what
- 33:10Speaker 1: doesn't matter what you say will happen to them after that.
- 33:12Speaker 1: But it's when you got guys like us who managed
- 33:14Speaker 1: to survive for years on a battlefield where death is certain.
- 33:18Speaker 1: THEO continues, the fact that we survived means that we're smart,
- 33:23Speaker 1: and the other eighty six look up to us as heroes.
- 33:26Speaker 1: They can't have us, leading to our rebellion. Hanoto says,
- 33:30Speaker 1: So anyone like that is sent to the worst of
- 33:31Speaker 1: the fighting to die there, and those who still don't
- 33:35Speaker 1: die end up here. Combat District one Unit one spearhead
- 33:40Speaker 1: right in says, the point of this place is to
- 33:43Speaker 1: make the soldiers fight until they die. This is the
- 33:46Speaker 1: last place we'll serve. We'll all die here. Fuck, THEO continues,
- 33:53Speaker 1: Only after the last one's dead or a replacement's gonna come,
- 33:56Speaker 1: the next group waiting their own executions. Like, so we're
- 34:02Speaker 1: not making you fight to protect us, but just to
- 34:06Speaker 1: kill you. That's nothing but slaughter. I know, right, did
- 34:10Speaker 1: you all know? Anu says, yes, I'm sorry. Lena's like
- 34:16Speaker 1: since when Karina says, from the start, no one who
- 34:20Speaker 1: went to war, not my sister or anyone else, came
- 34:23Speaker 1: back and we weren't allowed to go out of the camps.
- 34:27Speaker 1: We all knew from the start that the White Pigs
- 34:29Speaker 1: don't keep their promises. Lena's like, if you knew, why
- 34:34Speaker 1: did you fight? That's a good question. Why not run
- 34:39Speaker 1: or try to get revenge on the Republic. Bryden says,
- 34:43Speaker 1: revenge wouldn't even be hard. We just have to sit
- 34:46Speaker 1: back and let the legion come through. We'd die, of course,
- 34:49Speaker 1: but we could take the White Pigs with us. Lena
- 34:52Speaker 1: takes a shaky breath. Then why, Brydon leans forward. Till
- 34:56Speaker 1: I was twelve years old, an old Alba woman in
- 34:59Speaker 1: disre nine looked after me. Na says what rite In continues.
- 35:05Speaker 1: Shin was raised by an Alba priest who refused to
- 35:07Speaker 1: give up his land and was sent to the camps.
- 35:09Speaker 1: THEO told you about his old captain. Karina knows the
- 35:13Speaker 1: very worst of the Alba. Of course, we all know
- 35:17Speaker 1: how awful the White Pigs couldn't be. But Lena gasps.
- 35:20Speaker 1: He continues, there are also people like Kaye who were
- 35:23Speaker 1: abused by the other eighty six because of their skin color.
- 35:27Speaker 1: Lena gasps again, right, and continues, Anju, Hatito and Shin
- 35:32Speaker 1: all have either white pig or imperial blood. So it
- 35:35Speaker 1: was the same for them. There are a scum like
- 35:37Speaker 1: that among the eighty six two, and then there are
- 35:40Speaker 1: a lot of proud eighty six who fought to the
- 35:42Speaker 1: very end, even if most Alba or scum. Some of
- 35:45Speaker 1: you said there wasn't any reason to let us die,
- 35:48Speaker 1: and not all eighty six are good. He stands, so
- 35:51Speaker 1: we all decided which we wanted to be. He walks
- 35:54Speaker 1: over and he puts one of his feet on the field,
- 35:57Speaker 1: and he's like looking up at the sky, because scum
- 36:01Speaker 1: treat you like scum. Doing that doesn't make you any better.
- 36:04Speaker 1: And if the only two paths are either die fighting
- 36:06Speaker 1: the legion or die giving up, we'll survive to the
- 36:09Speaker 1: last moment and go down fighting. That's the reason we fight.
- 36:13Speaker 1: That's the source of our pride. If that means we're
- 36:16Speaker 1: protecting the white pigs, well it's not ideal, but it's
- 36:20Speaker 1: okay with me. The moon breaks through the clouds and
- 36:25Speaker 1: lights kind of the used firework packages, and Lana says,
- 36:29Speaker 1: even if you know that at the end, you'll die,
- 36:32Speaker 1: Rightan's like, is anyone stupid enough to hang themselves today?
- 36:36Speaker 1: Because they know they're going to die tomorrow. We have
- 36:38Speaker 1: a really cool kind of low shots of ride In
- 36:42Speaker 1: framed by the edges of a dugout. It's back to
- 36:44Speaker 1: us and the passing clouds. It continues, even if you
- 36:49Speaker 1: know you're going to the gallows, you can still choose
- 36:51Speaker 1: how you climb up there. We made our choice. All
- 36:55Speaker 1: we have to do now is survive, he smiles. Cut
- 37:00Speaker 1: to the sparklers from a couple of days earlier, and
- 37:03Speaker 1: then to Theo's really solemn face. Back to the sparklers,
- 37:07Speaker 1: and then to Anju and Karna looking very determined. Then
- 37:11Speaker 1: to the firework remnants falling from the sky, the Hotu
- 37:15Speaker 1: toe and some guy with glasses, and back to the
- 37:19Speaker 1: fireworks and too two other guys. Then then to the
- 37:22Speaker 1: remnants of the fireworks fading out, and to Shin he
- 37:25Speaker 1: closes his eyes. We go to the ending theme, which
- 37:29Speaker 1: in this case is a shot of you know, Lena
- 37:31Speaker 1: reaching her hand out towards the fireworks in like red.
- 37:35Speaker 1: Her hand is like bright red, and then we get
- 37:37Speaker 1: this really quick burst of Shin's hand holding a gun
- 37:40Speaker 1: in blue, and then back to Lena's hand. It's actually
- 37:42Speaker 1: a really fucking cool ending. I liked it. A lot,
- 37:47Speaker 1: but that's not the end, because it's never the end
- 37:49Speaker 1: in this show. Something metals being shot out. It's too
- 37:52Speaker 1: close for me to tell. And then we see that
- 37:54Speaker 1: we are in the ruins of a city and there
- 37:56Speaker 1: are Juggernauts fighting Legion, obviously, and it says that this
- 37:59Speaker 1: is the Eastern Theater Combat District sixteen Unit one, folks.
- 38:04Speaker 1: A Juggernaut gets like fucking blasted, and we see this
- 38:08Speaker 1: like gigantic gun blasting at like buildings and shits, and
- 38:14Speaker 1: it's like taken out Juggernauts left and right, and then
- 38:17Speaker 1: we see what it is. It is this gigantic, massive
- 38:20Speaker 1: Legion thing, and then we get the next episode title.
- 38:24Speaker 1: Let's go closing thoughts, I guess first, I just want
- 38:28Speaker 1: to point out that I am terrible at figuring out
- 38:31Speaker 1: what is happening in the action scenes in this because
- 38:34Speaker 1: all of the max look very very similar. Sure, the
- 38:38Speaker 1: Juggernauts are more beat up looking than the Legion things,
- 38:42Speaker 1: which are all shiny and pretty, But a lot of
- 38:44Speaker 1: times it's really hard for me to tell what's going on.
- 38:47Speaker 1: I am trying my best. I hope I'm not fucking
- 38:49Speaker 1: anything up. Ah. But more importantly, we just learned the
- 38:54Speaker 1: bad thing, the other bad thing, which is that there
- 38:57Speaker 1: is no out for them. They don't ever get to
- 39:01Speaker 1: go home. This is a death sentence, which many of you,
- 39:05Speaker 1: I'm sure probably figured out that they were never going back.
- 39:08Speaker 1: I mean, we've seen in so many of the previous
- 39:11Speaker 1: episodes Lena says something and then everybody kind of get
- 39:14Speaker 1: quiet about, like, you know, what they're gonna do when
- 39:16Speaker 1: they go home, like because they know they're not. But
- 39:19Speaker 1: I thought it was kind of interesting that they decided
- 39:21Speaker 1: they weren't going to tell her. Also, I think it's
- 39:23Speaker 1: interesting that she doesn't know. So I wonder if like
- 39:26Speaker 1: some of the handlers know because they're terrible people, so
- 39:29Speaker 1: it's fine, but like nobody told her because they knew
- 39:32Speaker 1: what she would do, which is be very upset and
- 39:35Speaker 1: hopefully just take down the government. So they just didn't
- 39:38Speaker 1: tell her, and they were just never going to tell her.
- 39:40Speaker 1: They're just gonna let her think that the government is
- 39:42Speaker 1: just totally in competence by not preventing any reinforcements. I
- 39:46Speaker 1: don't know, but I also think it's interesting that Lena
- 39:49Speaker 1: like didn't know about this, not just because she hadn't
- 39:51Speaker 1: been told, but like she believes that after five years,
- 39:56Speaker 1: you get to be a citizen again. It's funny, Lena,
- 39:59Speaker 1: I haven't seen a single non ALBA person in any
- 40:02Speaker 1: of the settings that you've been walking around in or
- 40:05Speaker 1: at the bus stop or like anywhere. It's always silver hair,
- 40:10Speaker 1: silver dized people. So like, where are those citizens, Lena?
- 40:14Speaker 1: Where did you? Where did they go? Where did they go?
- 40:19Speaker 1: But I guess when you're in a society where you
- 40:23Speaker 1: are the majority type person, everyone looks like you around
- 40:28Speaker 1: you all the time, so he's not really thinking about it,
- 40:30Speaker 1: you know. So yeah, regardless, it seems pretty incompetent, like
- 40:36Speaker 1: you don't want to kill off your resources, And I
- 40:39Speaker 1: know that they really really want to kill the eighty
- 40:43Speaker 1: six because in one sense it does make sense. You
- 40:46Speaker 1: don't want these people to be heroes. You don't want
- 40:49Speaker 1: them looked at as leaders that could start a revolution
- 40:53Speaker 1: or even as martyrs. And with this Spearhead Squadron, it's
- 40:58Speaker 1: getting a little close, Like we know that the other
- 41:02Speaker 1: squads know about Shin, Like when all the kids got
- 41:06Speaker 1: together when they first became Spearhead Squadron, they knew about
- 41:09Speaker 1: him already. And remember in Lena's other unit, when she
- 41:13Speaker 1: was telling them that she was leaving that woman that
- 41:16Speaker 1: she was talking to. Just thought it was fucking hilarious
- 41:19Speaker 1: that she was gonna have to go be with Shin,
- 41:21Speaker 1: so like he's a big deal already, And I get
- 41:25Speaker 1: you don't want this person to get any more power
- 41:28Speaker 1: and any more sway with the people that you're abusing,
- 41:31Speaker 1: because yeah, they could decide it's finally time to storm
- 41:34Speaker 1: the fucking capitol and kill you guys. But it's also
- 41:37Speaker 1: pretty fucking dumb because you're losing people who were protecting
- 41:42Speaker 1: your country. But as far as they know, the Legion
- 41:46Speaker 1: is on the decline and it's going to shut down
- 41:49Speaker 1: in two years, So all they have to do is
- 41:50Speaker 1: have enough eighty six to throw at them until then.
- 41:54Speaker 1: And I guess they believe they have that. So that's
- 41:57Speaker 1: fucked up. Yeah, But so they really hate these kids
- 42:00Speaker 1: that much, they hate these people that much they just
- 42:02Speaker 1: want to exterminate them. Yeah, that's obviously happened in history before,
- 42:08Speaker 1: so I believe it. Anyway. I just thought it was
- 42:12Speaker 1: interesting that they didn't want to tell her because they
- 42:14Speaker 1: knew would hurt her. But the question is from here
- 42:18Speaker 1: now that Lena knows that this is not even to
- 42:22Speaker 1: protect anyone. It's just to murder people, to genocide a population.
- 42:28Speaker 1: Where do we go from here? Like? Is she going
- 42:31Speaker 1: to let them continue to fight in absolutely known traps?
- 42:36Speaker 1: Like can she stop anything? Can she change the trajectory
- 42:40Speaker 1: of this because it's not like this is an unknown
- 42:43Speaker 1: to everyone else. Everyone knows how bad this is. She's
- 42:48Speaker 1: the only one who cares. So what is she gonna do?
- 42:52Speaker 1: What are any of them gonna do? Are we just
- 42:54Speaker 1: going to let them die and then move on to
- 42:56Speaker 1: a new set of eighty six to follow, Like what
- 42:59Speaker 1: happens from here? And I guess that's what we find
- 43:02Speaker 1: out going forward or something? Yeah, I think that's really
- 43:08Speaker 1: all I had to say. I wish I had more,
- 43:11Speaker 1: but I think that was like the biggest part of
- 43:12Speaker 1: the episode was just her learning about another layer of
- 43:17Speaker 1: just intense atrocity that this government is kimnting, I guess.
- 43:22Speaker 1: And now it looks like we're down to eight members
- 43:26Speaker 1: of Spearhead judging by the Juggernauts in the field, So
- 43:30Speaker 1: that's not a lot. I mean, sure, we didn't even
- 43:33Speaker 1: know all of the people who died, and there are
- 43:36Speaker 1: still people that I have no idea who the fuck
- 43:38Speaker 1: they are, which they probably should have fleshed them out
- 43:41Speaker 1: a little better because I think they're probably gonna die,
- 43:43Speaker 1: you know, And it's not gonna hurt me because I
- 43:47Speaker 1: don't even know who they are. Like when they were
- 43:49Speaker 1: sitting in the dug at there were people, I was like, wow,
- 43:51Speaker 1: I've never seen them before. So like, I'm pretty sure
- 43:55Speaker 1: in the light novel, things are a little bit more
- 43:57Speaker 1: fleshed out, if I'm remembering correctly, But yeah, I don't
- 44:02Speaker 1: know man, those words. I'm not really sure where I'm
- 44:06Speaker 1: going with this, but we're definitely gonna see what happens
- 44:11Speaker 1: going forward. I do want to ask you, since we
- 44:14Speaker 1: are on episode seven, so we are more than halfway
- 44:18Speaker 1: through this first core, how do you guys want to
- 44:21Speaker 1: do this? Like I can go straight into the second
- 44:24Speaker 1: core right after this, or I can do what I
- 44:28Speaker 1: was kind of considering doing, and I can take a break.
- 44:30Speaker 1: I can cover the summer her cover Died, which is
- 44:34Speaker 1: like a horror anime with like Imbasi sound body horror
- 44:37Speaker 1: kind of and sort of gay as well. That's gonna
- 44:43Speaker 1: be airing in the summer that I think could be
- 44:45Speaker 1: super fucking fun. And then after that's done, we could
- 44:48Speaker 1: go back to eighty six, so it kind of be
- 44:51Speaker 1: like the way it was originally broadcast, where we didn't
- 44:53Speaker 1: have two consecutive cores, it was split. The problem with
- 44:56Speaker 1: that is I will tell you right now that the
- 44:59Speaker 1: last episod of this core eighty six ends on a
- 45:02Speaker 1: pre severe cliffhanger, so it might hurt you if I
- 45:05Speaker 1: did that. So if you have an opinion, you could
- 45:09Speaker 1: let me know. My little email thing is in the
- 45:12Speaker 1: show notes, So just yeah, you can email me, and
- 45:16Speaker 1: you can tell me which one you want to do.
- 45:18Speaker 1: Two cores together for eighty six or end this core,
- 45:24Speaker 1: do Summer Hikaru Died Live, or you know, as it
- 45:28Speaker 1: airs and then back to eighty six. Totally up to you.
- 45:32Speaker 1: I'm down to do either way, And if you don't
- 45:35Speaker 1: tell me, I'll just have to figure it out myself,
- 45:37Speaker 1: which is terrible, but I'll do it. I mean, this
- 45:42Speaker 1: is my fault. I'm the one who put it out there,
- 45:44Speaker 1: so I may have to, you know, decide myself. I
- 45:49Speaker 1: don't know why that's such a big deal. It's not
- 45:51Speaker 1: anyway I'm gonna go. I'm obviously super stressed out and
- 45:55Speaker 1: I didn't even realize, so I hope you have a
- 45:57Speaker 1: really good whatever. Yeah, and I'll be back next week,
- 46:02Speaker 1: you know, unless everything ends, so later webs
