If you love Pokémon, you're in the right place, because today
• 0:10
we're diving into the most exciting Pokémon news from
• 0:13
August 2025 S. Grab your Poke Balls, put on
• 0:17
your favorite trainer hat, and get ready for a fun filled
• 0:21
adventure through the world of Pokémon.
• 0:23
Let's get started with Pokémon Go, the Super popular mobile
• 0:27
game that lets you catch Pokémon in the real world.
• 0:29
August was a huge month for Pokémon Go, packed with special
• 0:33
events, rare Pokémon, and even some brand new faces joining the
• 0:38
game. The month kicked off with the
• 0:40
final stretch of the Delightful Day season, which means tons of
• 0:43
  surprises for trainers everywhere.
• 0:46
One of the biggest highlights was the arrival of some truly
• 0:49
  legendary Pokémon in Raid Battles.
• 0:51
Lugia and Ho sword into raids early in the month, giving
• 0:55
trainers a chance to catch these majestic, powerful Pokémon.
• 1:00
But that's not all. Later in August, something even
• 1:03
more mysterious happened. Origin for me, Dialga and Origin
• 1:07
for me Palkia, made a special appearance during a unique Ultra
• 1:11
unlock raid day. These two Pokémon are known for
• 1:13
controlling time and space, and they don't show up often, so
• 1:17
trainers were super excited to battle and catch them.
• 1:20
Some lucky players even managed to catch their shiny versions,
• 1:25
which have special colors that make them extra rare.
• 1:28
But wait, there's more. August also brought the debut of
• 1:32
Gigantimax Butterfree. If you haven't seen Gigantimax
• 1:35
Butterfree before, imagine a regular Butterfree but way
• 1:38
bigger and with colorful glowing wings that light up the sky.
• 1:43
Trainers got to face this giant butterfly Pokémon in Max Battle
• 1:46
Day, which was a brand new challenge.
• 1:49
People teamed up with friends to take down Giganta Max
• 1:52
Butterfree, and if they won, they had a chance to catch it
• 1:55
and add it to their Pokedex. Another exciting event was the
• 1:59
arrival of Shadow Kyogre in Shadow Raids.
• 2:02
Shadow Pokémon are special because they look a little
• 2:05
different, with glowing red eyes and a dark, mysterious aura.
• 2:10
Shadow Kyogre is especially powerful, and trainers had to
• 2:14
work together to rescue it from the clutches of Team Go Rocket.
• 2:17
There was even a special mission to face off against Giovanni,
• 2:21
the boss of Team Go Rocket, and save Shadow Giratina.
• 2:25
It was a real test of teamwork and strategy, and trainers who
• 2:29
completed the challenge felt like true heroes.
• 2:32
Of course, Pokémon Go wouldn't be complete without its famous
• 2:35
Community Day. This month's Community Day
• 2:38
starred Rookety, a cute little Bluebird Pokémon that loves to
• 2:42
chirp and flutter about. For a few hours, Rookety
• 2:45
appeared all over the map, and trainers could catch as many as
• 2:49
they wanted. If you were really lucky, you
• 2:52
might have even found a shiny Rookety.
• 2:54
Plus, evolving Rookety during the event gave you a special
• 2:58
move that you can't get any other time.
• 3:00
But the fun didn't stop there. August also featured Spotlight
• 3:04
Hours, where certain Pokémon appeared more often.
• 3:07
For one hour each week, there was a Sweet Swarm event, where
• 3:11
sweet and adorable Pokémon like Swirl X and Cutie Fly were
• 3:15
everywhere you looked. And let's not forget Hatch Day,
• 3:18
which challenged trainers to walk and hatch as many eggs as
• 3:21
possible. Each egg held the promise of a
• 3:24
surprise Pokémon inside, and everyone was excited to see what
• 3:28
would hatch next. To top it all off, Pokémon Go
• 3:31
Fest 2025 Max Finale closed out the month with a bang.
• 3:36
This was the biggest event of the summer, filled with special
• 3:39
research tasks, rare encounters, and the arrival of Adernatus, a
• 3:43
legendary Pokémon from the Gala region.
• 3:46
Trainers all over the world joined in the fun, and the game
• 3:49
was buzzing with excitement as people caught new Pokémon,
• 3:53
completed challenges, and made new friends along the way.
• 3:56
Now, let's switch gears and talk about the Pokémon Trading Card
• 4:00
Game, also known as the Pokémon TCG.
• 4:03
If you love collecting and battling with Pokémon cards,
• 4:07
August 2025 was a month to remember.
• 4:10
This year, the Pokémon TCG has been rolling out new sets and
• 4:14
expansions, each one packed with powerful cards, cool artwork,
• 4:18
and awesome surprises. One of the biggest announcements
• 4:22
was the reveal of the Mega Evolution expansion packs.
• 4:26
Mega Evolution is a special way some Pokémon can become even
• 4:29
stronger during battle. Pokémon like Mega Lucario and
• 4:33
Mega Gardevoir are getting their own brand new cards with
• 4:37
  dazzling designs and powerful attacks.
• 4:40
The Mega Evolution sets are coming out in Japan on August
• 4:43
1st and will be available in English later in September, so
• 4:46
collectors everywhere are getting ready to add these new
• 4:49
cards to their decks. But that's not all.
• 4:52
There's also the Black Bolt and White Flare expansion, which
• 4:55
arrived in July and is still super popular.
• 4:58
These sets feature Electric and Fire type Pokémon, including
• 5:02
some legendary favorites. Trainers are loving the new
• 5:05
strategies and combos these cards bring to the game.
• 5:09
Plus, there are special promotional cards like Latias X
• 5:13
that you can get by joining Pokémon Card Gym events.
• 5:16
It's a great way to meet other fans, trade cards, and test your
• 5:19
skills in friendly battles. And for those who love a good
• 5:23
challenge, the M1L Mega Expansion Pack Mega Brave and
• 5:27
M1S Mega Expansion Pack Mega Symphonia.
• 5:30
Launched in August, these packs are all about bold moves and

musical battles with cards that let you create powerful combos
• 5:37
and outsmart your opponents. Whether you play for fun or
• 5:41
compete in tournaments, there's something for everyone in the

Pokémon video games, too. Pokémon Legends ZA has been
• 5:54

Dragonite is finally getting some time to shine.
• 6:01
The trailer showed off new side missions, a peek at the story,
• 6:04
and the introduction of Mega Evolutions in the game.
• 6:07
Mega Evolution let certain Pokémon transform into super
• 6:11
powered versions of themselves during battle, and fans are
• 6:14
thrilled to see which Pokémon will get this special boost.
