- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up. Yeah, he's ready. It's the Ultimate. It's the Ultimate,
- 0:06Speaker 1: and we're bad. I was thinking that's how we should
- 0:10Speaker 1: start this episode with that. I missed you guys so much.
- 0:17Speaker 1: I really did well. I kind of missed you well.
- 0:22Speaker 1: He's probably saying that because I've seen him a few times.
- 0:26Speaker 1: We haven't seen these two beautiful people and audience. I
- 0:29Speaker 1: just want to start off and say I genuinely missed you.
- 0:32Speaker 1: I missed doing this. Um, I find myself doing the
- 0:36Speaker 1: show alone, Like in my shower. I'm like, I'm like
- 0:39Speaker 1: thinking of a funny anecdote for the podcast, and because
- 0:42Speaker 1: we're not doing it, I'm literally like doing it out loud,
- 0:43Speaker 1: telling the story because I just don't have a way
- 0:46Speaker 1: to tell the story. So you so it's like you're
- 0:51Speaker 1: practicing your your Oscar speech in the shower. What you're
- 0:54Speaker 1: practicing exactly, I'll go this would be I'm you know,
- 0:56Speaker 1: this will be a funny. Hopefully I'll remember some of
- 0:58Speaker 1: them for today, but I'll be like, oh, this be
- 1:00Speaker 1: such a funny podcast for it, but we're not doing it.
- 1:02Speaker 1: So I just start going into like telling the story
- 1:04Speaker 1: out loud in my shower. Nothing, yo, listen, I got
- 1:11Speaker 1: so much I want to talk about it. I know
- 1:13Speaker 1: there's so much do you want to talk about? I
- 1:15Speaker 1: know you guys have things you want I know we
- 1:17Speaker 1: all have things we want to talk about it. I
- 1:18Speaker 1: think we should start it off with saying, how great
- 1:21Speaker 1: is it to come back and talk about Scrubs again.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Let's start there. Okay, let's start there and say, I'm
- 1:26Speaker 1: so excited to talk about Scrubs again. But then let's pivot. Yeah,
- 1:30Speaker 1: he wants to pivot right away, and I know he
- 1:32Speaker 1: wants to pivot and for the first time. Don't worry everybody,
- 1:36Speaker 1: we're gonna get to Scrubs that we're gonna talk about
- 1:38Speaker 1: episode seven or two my hard Labor, a very good episode.
- 1:41Speaker 1: But before we talk about Scrubs for the first time,
- 1:44Speaker 1: what Donald wants to pivot to. I genuinely want to
- 1:47Speaker 1: talk about two because I think it's fucking incredible, Holy Cassie,
- 1:55Speaker 1: and and I think it's like one of the best
- 2:01Speaker 1: Star Wars things I've personally ever seen, one of the
- 2:04Speaker 1: best shows of the year, which is incredible. I never
- 2:06Speaker 1: thought we could say that about a Star Wars. I
- 2:09Speaker 1: never thought that I'd be so excited to talk about
- 2:11Speaker 1: Star Wars. As Donald, here's the crazy thing. The crazy
- 2:14Speaker 1: thing is this is like the most unconventional version of
- 2:18Speaker 1: Star Wars, right, Like, this is the Star Wars that
- 2:20Speaker 1: everybody kind of said they wanted, and when they kind
- 2:23Speaker 1: of got it was like, I don't like that shit anymore, right,
- 2:27Speaker 1: But now it's just executed so well. Tony Gilroy and
- 2:31Speaker 1: his brother Dan Gilroy, I think that's his name. Holy cow,
- 2:37Speaker 1: you have created adult Star Wars. This is the Star
- 2:40Speaker 1: Wars that no kid is gonna sit down and watch
- 2:43Speaker 1: because they talk too much and there's too much a story. Right,
- 2:47Speaker 1: if you're a kid, it's totally boring. I said to Donald,
- 2:49Speaker 1: what is it about? This is like incredibly done, and
- 2:52Speaker 1: he's like, yeah, it's adult Star Wars. And I didn't
- 2:54Speaker 1: realize because I'm not the mega fan that you guys
- 2:56Speaker 1: are that like, these are all forever have been aimed
- 2:59Speaker 1: at chill dren, even the original one obviously, and this
- 3:03Speaker 1: one is like what if we didn't aim at children?
- 3:05Speaker 1: What if we aimed at adults and had adult dialogue
- 3:07Speaker 1: and limited cute, adorable creatures. And I just think it's
- 3:13Speaker 1: so incredibly directed and written and every department should win
- 3:17Speaker 1: the Emmy. I mean the design, design alone, special effects
- 3:23Speaker 1: and design alone should win. And I can't think of
- 3:25Speaker 1: the last time I was watching the show and I
- 3:27Speaker 1: paused it to IMDb who the costume designer was, and
- 3:31Speaker 1: it's Michael Wilkinson, who I have to say, did Garden
- 3:35Speaker 1: State and I was very, very proud to hear that.
- 3:37Speaker 1: But he's obviously gone on in the years since to
- 3:39Speaker 1: become one of the top people on earth, a huge
- 3:42Speaker 1: costume designer. But the costumes are fucking incredible. How about
- 3:47Speaker 1: in this last episode the shirt he wears with the
- 3:49Speaker 1: tie um, you know what, I'm yeah, everything, the design
- 3:55Speaker 1: of these costumes, I mean, there's no way he doesn't
- 3:57Speaker 1: win the Emmy for costume Design. It's their incredible. Well
- 4:00Speaker 1: this is the first time. And the sets, I mean,
- 4:02Speaker 1: because they're out of the volume on this show, they're
- 4:04Speaker 1: not just using the volume and they really yeah, they're
- 4:07Speaker 1: on locations and they I mean there's obviously what they
- 4:10Speaker 1: call set extensions, you know, um, you know, they're shooting
- 4:13Speaker 1: in a contained set and then they make it look
- 4:15Speaker 1: infinite and huge. But it's so well done. That's scene
- 4:18Speaker 1: with the sets with him and his in his new cubicle,
- 4:21Speaker 1: I want. Don't worry. I don't give a spoilers anybody.
- 4:23Speaker 1: I'm just going to talk about vague things. But like,
- 4:25Speaker 1: I just think the design of these sets, the design
- 4:28Speaker 1: of the costumes, of cinematography, acting across the board. Um,
- 4:31Speaker 1: it's really really good. We saw the cubicles. Did you
- 4:34Speaker 1: think of Brazil? Yes, it's definitely. And also, um, there's
- 4:39Speaker 1: another movie, uh um, what's the there's a Coen Brothers movie,
- 4:44Speaker 1: Hudsucker Proxy that doesn't and also the Apartment the original
- 4:48Speaker 1: was the Jack Lemon movie. It also has it also
- 4:51Speaker 1: has elements of THHX. Also you know what I mean,
- 4:54Speaker 1: Like it's it's It's just it's well done. Like the
- 4:57Speaker 1: Easter eggs aren't I mean other than in that dude
- 5:00Speaker 1: shop and what's his name shop the Easter eggs? Or
- 5:04Speaker 1: aren't in your face like you I don't. I don't
- 5:08Speaker 1: know Rogue One at all. So I like when when
- 5:10Speaker 1: certain characters again Nose Brothers showed up in this last episode,
- 5:14Speaker 1: I assume they're in Rogue One, but I don't. I
- 5:16Speaker 1: didn't know, Like you know, I didn't know. I've never
- 5:19Speaker 1: seen the movie, which I'll now watch because I like
- 5:20Speaker 1: this show. Someone Yeah, it makes it makes it makes
- 5:23Speaker 1: Diego Luna's entrance into Rogue one even more like they're
- 5:29Speaker 1: following that version of his character so well. Like throughout
- 5:34Speaker 1: the movie. In Rogue one, Diego Luna's character Cassie and
- 5:37Speaker 1: and Door is coming to grips with all of the
- 5:39Speaker 1: shit that he's did in the past, and at the
- 5:42Speaker 1: end of it, he's like, I gotta redeem myself in
- 5:44Speaker 1: some way. I've done so much Fileshit. This might be
- 5:47Speaker 1: my one moment to really make it up to the galaxy, right,
- 5:50Speaker 1: I've done so He's like, I've done so much fileshit
- 5:53Speaker 1: in the name of trying to save the galaxy. This
- 5:55Speaker 1: is my moment, right. And so when he's introduced in
- 5:59Speaker 1: Rogue one with the guy who could barely walk and
- 6:02Speaker 1: you know, and the outcome that happens when the guy's like,
- 6:06Speaker 1: I can't get out of here, it makes it even
- 6:08Speaker 1: more realistic. Like before I was like, damn, that's a
- 6:11Speaker 1: cold blooded dude, But now I'm like, I get why
- 6:13Speaker 1: he's cold blooded. He's fighting on the side that you
- 6:15Speaker 1: know has very little room forms. What about what about
- 6:19Speaker 1: the I mean again no spoilers, but the way they
- 6:22Speaker 1: do that prison and like the whole idea behind that
- 6:26Speaker 1: prison and I mean the sets. I mean, I mean,
- 6:31Speaker 1: I can't you guys listen? I don't know if you're
- 6:33Speaker 1: If you're listening and you're not watching the show and
- 6:36Speaker 1: you like good things, watch it. You don't need to
- 6:39Speaker 1: know anything about Star Wars. It's its own entity, obviously.
- 6:41Speaker 1: If you're a Star Wars megafan like these two, you're
- 6:44Speaker 1: gonna get or three. I forgot, I forgot. If Daniel's
- 6:49Speaker 1: not a fan of anything anything, wow, wow. He likes
- 6:52Speaker 1: video games except for video games. Can you turn off
- 6:55Speaker 1: that focus thing that that you're doing now? It's why
- 6:58Speaker 1: you guys all have that on. It's so my background
- 7:00Speaker 1: is atrocious back, who cares? No one's gonna see this
- 7:03Speaker 1: and you're yeah, there's somehow working better than yours. Thank you. Anyway,
- 7:07Speaker 1: Daniel only loves video games. He does not love story.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Asked Daniel, if you love Star Wars? Asked Daniel, do
- 7:12Speaker 1: you love Star Wars? I of course love Star Wars'
- 7:17Speaker 1: love it? Like it? Okay, fine, I like it. I
- 7:21Speaker 1: don't know why you're telling Daniel what his level of
- 7:24Speaker 1: love is, because love well, I just want to say
- 7:26Speaker 1: the audience, if you're on my level where you're like, yeah,
- 7:28Speaker 1: some of it's good, but I'm not obsessed like Donald
- 7:30Speaker 1: and Joel. I find this to be a whole other level.
- 7:33Speaker 1: And Donald explained it to me. It's like, yeah, because
- 7:35Speaker 1: they're not tiptoeing the line of making a show that's
- 7:40Speaker 1: perfect and aimed at children. Well, and there are guys
- 7:43Speaker 1: who don't like Star Wars, which I think is a
- 7:45Speaker 1: brilliant thing to do. What do you mean by wait?
- 7:48Speaker 1: Straight up, like, I don't like Star Wars because I'm
- 7:51Speaker 1: not interested in Star Wars. When he talked to his
- 7:52Speaker 1: writer's dam, he's like, please don't throw me a bunch
- 7:54Speaker 1: of Easter eggs. Do you not talk about He's like,
- 7:56Speaker 1: we're not going to go treading over old stories. He's like,
- 7:59Speaker 1: that's not what this is about. We're going to stay
- 8:01Speaker 1: focused and it's going to be a political thriller, which
- 8:04Speaker 1: George has tried to do. But to your point, Donald
- 8:07Speaker 1: constantly is batting back and forth between like, well, let's
- 8:09Speaker 1: also entertain the children. But I remember in the prequels
- 8:12Speaker 1: he has all of these long discussions about like trade,
- 8:15Speaker 1: roots and you know, policy and stuff, and people got
- 8:18Speaker 1: really bored with it. But here it's it's biting and intriguing.
- 8:21Speaker 1: I mean, there's a scene where two people are just
- 8:23Speaker 1: walking through a party discussing, you know, a possible rebellion,
- 8:27Speaker 1: and you're on the edge of your seat. You're like,
- 8:28Speaker 1: oh my god, please don't get caught. Who knows what?
- 8:30Speaker 1: What is that sideways glancing and the acting is so
- 8:34Speaker 1: good Stars good dialogue is so good. The dialogue is
- 8:37Speaker 1: the best Star Wars dialogue I think, truly. Well, it's
- 8:41Speaker 1: also it's it's also I mean, all Star Wars is
- 8:43Speaker 1: shot to be like, you know, a poem, you know
- 8:46Speaker 1: what I mean, It all kind of has to rhyme
- 8:48Speaker 1: in the words of George Lucas, but this one does,
- 8:50Speaker 1: except it takes exceptional I guess, interest in that. Whereas
- 8:56Speaker 1: even that scene that you're just talking about, where Monmoth
- 8:59Speaker 1: was talking to her childhood friend and they're talking about,
- 9:02Speaker 1: you know, possible ways to get money for this rebellion
- 9:06Speaker 1: that she's trying to the secret rebellion that she's trying
- 9:09Speaker 1: to fund, it's done through like this uh this I
- 9:13Speaker 1: don't know what. I want to call it shantilly, but
- 9:16Speaker 1: it's not. But it's like the spider web of decoration
- 9:20Speaker 1: that surrounds the house, and so it's told through this
- 9:23Speaker 1: web as she's trying to you know, uh, weave a
- 9:28Speaker 1: web around this guy, you know, and and and cloak
- 9:30Speaker 1: herself within this web of deception. It's like, fucking amazing, dude.
- 9:35Speaker 1: But any direction that was still excited for Mandalorian excited
- 9:41Speaker 1: for the first time in this whole show. I'm the
- 9:43Speaker 1: one who still wants to stay on a Star Wars topic.
- 9:45Speaker 1: And this is the last thing I'll say that episode again,
- 9:48Speaker 1: no spoilers, but that episode where they pull off the
- 9:50Speaker 1: thing is yeah, the heist is one of the most exciting,
- 9:55Speaker 1: well directed action episodes of TV. I was on the
- 9:58Speaker 1: edge of my seat there. That's the other thing. Last thing.
- 10:01Speaker 1: They don't have to get into crazy action sequences. Everything doesn't.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Everything can still be contained in this show, you know
- 10:07Speaker 1: what I mean. It's not like at the end of
- 10:09Speaker 1: every episode there's this gigantic special effect that needs to happen.
- 10:15Speaker 1: There's not. There's episodes where nothing happens and you're like, wow,
- 10:19Speaker 1: that's that's still a great That was a great episode.
- 10:21Speaker 1: The last one, This last one, I mean, there's not
- 10:23Speaker 1: a ton of action, but it was incredible. Yeah. Anyway, um,
- 10:28Speaker 1: last thing before we switch to Scrubs. House of the Dragon. Okay,
- 10:32Speaker 1: let's get incredible. Another show? Shit, what is going on?
- 10:37Speaker 1: Another show? Dear another one? Another one? Dear u? K, yes,
- 10:42Speaker 1: you have great actors. K stop off A right, it's true, man,
- 10:49Speaker 1: I I I think that I don't know if it's polarizing, Joel,
- 10:53Speaker 1: You'll tell me if people are polarized on the show.
- 10:55Speaker 1: But I think it's incredible. Yeah, some people have issues.
- 10:58Speaker 1: I would say the main issues are the amount of
- 11:01Speaker 1: traumatic burst scenes. Some people felt difficult to watch. That
- 11:06Speaker 1: was that was all of them? What a fucking actress
- 11:09Speaker 1: she is? Well okay, well hold on, but the most
- 11:12Speaker 1: recent one, the most last one okay, yeah, sure, there
- 11:15Speaker 1: all horrible That first one yeah yeah, and then the
- 11:20Speaker 1: other one. You know, she didn't think with her daggers.
- 11:21Speaker 1: They put up warnings. The warnings because there's also some
- 11:25Speaker 1: domestic violence, because people who've experienced like wow, that was,
- 11:28Speaker 1: but people have experienced bad childbirth. You do not want
- 11:32Speaker 1: to stumble into that show. But but I have to
- 11:34Speaker 1: say that actress I don't know her name. I'm sorry.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Will you look at up talking about Darcy? No? I
- 11:39Speaker 1: believe she goes by they what is their name? Sorry,
- 11:43Speaker 1: the blonde the blonde lead Emma Darcy, Emma Darcy. Holy,
- 11:50Speaker 1: they are incredible. I'm obsessed. Well, I don't think I
- 11:53Speaker 1: don't think there's anyone out there who isn't. Yes, yeah,
- 11:56Speaker 1: yeah with them right now? Yeah, what I mean, like,
- 11:59Speaker 1: but just incredible acting list okay, yeah, an incredible actor, sure,
- 12:04Speaker 1: but also has this incredible aura off the camera that
- 12:08Speaker 1: is like, holy, everyone's talking about that drink thing. I
- 12:11Speaker 1: kind of missed the drinking she gave it. They about
- 12:15Speaker 1: a drink and then what happened and went viral. Oh no,
- 12:17Speaker 1: it's just they have This is the first time I've
- 12:20Speaker 1: ever experienced something like this where sexuality is out of
- 12:23Speaker 1: the window. When you look at this person, like it's
- 12:26Speaker 1: like you are just there's just something really captivating about you.
- 12:31Speaker 1: And it's not and and and and and part of
- 12:34Speaker 1: it is sexual, you know what I mean? And and
- 12:36Speaker 1: but there's no sexual you know, uh, connection to you know,
- 12:41Speaker 1: it's really interesting, like you're saying, you're saying you're attracting
- 12:44Speaker 1: to a non barinary person. I believe that's something that's Okay, Donald,
- 12:48Speaker 1: that is what I am saying they're very interesting. That
- 12:52Speaker 1: is so like, there's not a lot of people walking
- 12:57Speaker 1: this planet that are like Emma Darcy. And then to
- 13:00Speaker 1: see their friendship with Olivia Cole, who's just like one
- 13:03Speaker 1: of the coolest people and kind of has that we're
- 13:05Speaker 1: going for her where you like pass were like that
- 13:07Speaker 1: lady is cool with hell Like what's her story? Uh?
- 13:10Speaker 1: And their friendship is very Let's talk about Patty Constantine
- 13:12Speaker 1: Patty um and as front I mean, he's gonna win
- 13:15Speaker 1: the Emmy, he needs to, um. Matt Matt Smith. Wow,
- 13:21Speaker 1: you guys, I started watching the behind there's a whole
- 13:23Speaker 1: series of behind the scenes of how they made this
- 13:26Speaker 1: show and the money. I know Game of Thrown spend
- 13:28Speaker 1: a lot of money, but these they look like they're
- 13:30Speaker 1: spending even more now. Yes, and if you love behind
- 13:33Speaker 1: the scenes stuff, I really recommend it's not just like
- 13:35Speaker 1: the little snippets. First of all, there's my trainer actually,
- 13:38Speaker 1: the one who told me that after the show. They
- 13:40Speaker 1: do that a lot. Well I knew that they do it,
- 13:43Speaker 1: but I never watched them. But they really help you
- 13:45Speaker 1: for the album. They help you for all the things
- 13:47Speaker 1: they went about them went above your head, which I like,
- 13:50Speaker 1: but then then I discovered there's this whole series. It's
- 13:52Speaker 1: just the behind the scenes like how they made it.
- 13:55Speaker 1: And if you love production and behind the scenes stuff,
- 13:57Speaker 1: it's so cool because there's you cannot believe the amount
- 14:00Speaker 1: of craftsmen and artists that created this world, the amount
- 14:04Speaker 1: of money they expan I mean, it's just so fun.
- 14:06Speaker 1: I mean it's very rarely, very rare that amount of
- 14:09Speaker 1: money on a piece of art gets spent like this,
- 14:11Speaker 1: And so if you're a geek like me about that stuff,
- 14:14Speaker 1: it's fun to watch that show. Well, that's what we're
- 14:17Speaker 1: learning a lot now about some of our favorite things,
- 14:20Speaker 1: you know what I mean, some of our favorite action
- 14:22Speaker 1: packed things. These are These are two properties that had
- 14:25Speaker 1: so much action and so much sex and so much explosion, etc. Etc.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Involved in it before that. Now that it's trimmed down
- 14:34Speaker 1: to just storytelling, it's become something yeah, really amazing. It's
- 14:40Speaker 1: a good way to put it. Both shows, both previous incarnations,
- 14:44Speaker 1: I have so much action that that that was in
- 14:47Speaker 1: these incarnations. Action is less in the foreground and it's
- 14:51Speaker 1: more about fascinating characters and dialogue, you know what I mean.
- 14:56Speaker 1: This is what everybody's been waiting for with Star Wars.
- 14:59Speaker 1: I don't necessarily you know about Game of Thrones, but
- 15:01Speaker 1: this is what everybody's been waiting for. At least a
- 15:03Speaker 1: lot of people have been waiting for with Star Wars.
- 15:06Speaker 1: You know, even your kids interested in all in it? No, No,
- 15:09Speaker 1: they could care less. My kids. They like Mandalorian, they
- 15:13Speaker 1: love Tales of the Jedi, which just came out, which
- 15:15Speaker 1: is amazing, Which is amazing, It was amazing. I've watched
- 15:18Speaker 1: I watched all six Yeah, because I read that the
- 15:20Speaker 1: ratings are down right, Joel. Because kids don't give a
- 15:23Speaker 1: far but but that's fine. There should be a space
- 15:24Speaker 1: for an adult should be I think a lot of
- 15:26Speaker 1: people are not connecting to it because there's not a
- 15:29Speaker 1: mean Star Wars character, right, Like and Or is in
- 15:31Speaker 1: one movie, Uh, small spoiler he dies. Everybody dies in
- 15:35Speaker 1: Rogue one. And I think you know that by now.
- 15:37Speaker 1: It's not a small spoiler. It's not a small spoiler.
- 15:39Speaker 1: It is it's anything. Everyone. It's a non jo It's
- 15:45Speaker 1: a non spoiler, Joel. Everybody knows that, thanks Joell. I
- 15:49Speaker 1: haven't seen it. Everyone except for Zach Zac's like, how
- 15:52Speaker 1: come and Or didn't show up? And returning the Jedi though,
- 15:55Speaker 1: but yeah, exactly know enough about those Star Wars Universe says.
- 15:59Speaker 1: I think that, uh, it's taking people a minute to
- 16:02Speaker 1: come over to it. But hopefully now that we're starting
- 16:05Speaker 1: the spread, more people are doing their reviews. Hopefully you
- 16:07Speaker 1: guys turn a couple of people onto It's important to
- 16:10Speaker 1: me that this show, I think I want to turn
- 16:12Speaker 1: people all over the world. Hell yeah, yeah, Watch and
- 16:14Speaker 1: or Guys, it's so it's so good. And watch House
- 16:17Speaker 1: of the Dragon. It's so good. Other than those two shows,
- 16:21Speaker 1: what else are we watching? I'm Late to the Boys,
- 16:24Speaker 1: um and no one. I mean I had heard whispers
- 16:27Speaker 1: about The Boys, but I finally tried it and it's incredible. Hey,
- 16:31Speaker 1: that's so exciting. Then I love The Boys. Zach loves
- 16:35Speaker 1: a superhero show. Try to wrap my mind around it. Well,
- 16:39Speaker 1: if you make a sport, if you make a superhero
- 16:41Speaker 1: sual like The Boys, I'm down. That is not I mean,
- 16:45Speaker 1: it's so smart and it's so clever, and the acting
- 16:48Speaker 1: again is incredible, and the writing, and I just think
- 16:53Speaker 1: it's I'm sorry, I'm late to the party. It's one
- 16:55Speaker 1: of those ones that I totally missed. And you know,
- 16:57Speaker 1: you know those shows that you keep hearing about, but
- 16:59Speaker 1: you just never tried. You just never get around. And
- 17:01Speaker 1: then finally you give it a try, and three years
- 17:03Speaker 1: in and three three seasons in and you're like, this
- 17:06Speaker 1: is great. Wine Woods took me so amazing. That was
- 17:10Speaker 1: That was my wife with six feet one. I took
- 17:13Speaker 1: my wife. It took my wife almost twenty years to
- 17:15Speaker 1: watch six feet She finally didn't. By the way, by
- 17:19Speaker 1: the way, if you haven't watched six feet Under, that'll
- 17:21Speaker 1: still hold up. You can watch that too. I have
- 17:23Speaker 1: a good palette cleanser for us. Right before we start
- 17:26Speaker 1: talking about scrubs, are you ready? Yes, Hey, this is
- 17:33Speaker 1: a bob Joel. I know we're supposed to comment on it,
- 17:39Speaker 1: but I just want to say, hey, Donald, you love
- 17:45Speaker 1: it always end you love it? Donald, I don't. I
- 17:50Speaker 1: don't love it. Oh man, you really don't like it.
- 17:53Speaker 1: I love it. I love t Swift, I love all
- 17:58Speaker 1: I love most of her music. I can't say I
- 18:00Speaker 1: love all of it. But you don't think that's a
- 18:02Speaker 1: that's a fun girl pop bop. What is going on
- 18:06Speaker 1: in your background? Daniel? Oh my god, Daniels at man,
- 18:16Speaker 1: out of the shot he has he has the background backgrounds,
- 18:21Speaker 1: little pieces of a man's torso appearance. You know what's
- 18:25Speaker 1: going on over there. My Stephanie's brothers are in town
- 18:30Speaker 1: because we're having a party this weekend, and they're staying
- 18:33Speaker 1: in the office and so no, they're staying in that
- 18:35Speaker 1: room naked right now. Oh my goodness, Daniel, Daniel, you
- 18:40Speaker 1: might as well take the blur off because that just
- 18:42Speaker 1: made that the background. Because I was looking back, we
- 18:47Speaker 1: were all like what because audience the only thing that
- 18:51Speaker 1: came into focus with his soft background, it looked like
- 18:56Speaker 1: somebody was trying to pull a dead body from onto something.
- 19:00Speaker 1: A shirtless man was in the background, just trying to
- 19:02Speaker 1: pull Well, anyway, I liked that song. You know. I
- 19:06Speaker 1: love a good pop song, and I think that's what
- 19:08Speaker 1: the kids call about. I'm gonna tell you something right now.
- 19:10Speaker 1: It's no, it's no freaking wrecking ball. Okay. I'm just okay.
- 19:14Speaker 1: But you haven't put it on once in your car
- 19:16Speaker 1: and gone head. No, hey, no, you know, you know, okay,
- 19:20Speaker 1: speaking of songs that speaking of songs that everybody's playing,
- 19:23Speaker 1: I did play that God Did from DJ Khaled over
- 19:27Speaker 1: and over and over again. Jay Z's verse in God,
- 19:31Speaker 1: Oh my goodness. And oh not only that, not only that,
- 19:33Speaker 1: but Little Wayne's verse in that as well. Holy cow.
- 19:37Speaker 1: But you know I'm gonna hip hop head, So yeah
- 19:40Speaker 1: you are. Wait, you haven't listened to God did Daniel? No,
- 19:43Speaker 1: I'm not keeping up with DJ Khaled, DJ Khaled? Another one.
- 19:49Speaker 1: You're trying to get into a day shoon what you're
- 19:52Speaker 1: trying to do. Don't worry. The sounds effects machine is on. Everybody,
- 19:57Speaker 1: fuck your sound effects machine. Yeah, but it's on. It's ready. Yeah. Well,
- 20:03Speaker 1: I just want to say seven stories about show we
- 20:08Speaker 1: made about a bunch of doctor nurses said stories. So
- 20:19Speaker 1: gada around here? Are yadoo around here? All right? Everyone?
- 20:29Speaker 1: We promise, we promise, we promise. We're here to talk
- 20:32Speaker 1: about the television shows Scrubs. We are on a season
- 20:36Speaker 1: seven seven h who Sorry, we were gone so long.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Everybody Donald was working and we have to congratulate Donald
- 20:42Speaker 1: because his pilot got picked up. I did a big out. Okay,
- 20:46Speaker 1: this is big. I'm sorry, this is big. Listen. I've
- 20:49Speaker 1: been on big shows before. We're people like Zach Braff
- 20:52Speaker 1: and creat us like Bill Lawrence and stuff like that.
- 20:54Speaker 1: But somehow I did it again. Holy shit, I did
- 20:59Speaker 1: it again, Freaking Michael Malley, John Kryer, and Abigail Spencer.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Also Tom Warner, Holy cal from Carson Warner. You guys
- 21:07Speaker 1: know what that is. Remember all the shows you used
- 21:09Speaker 1: to watch when you were a kid, all of the
- 21:10Speaker 1: shows at the end of us to have Carson Warner
- 21:12Speaker 1: on it. Well, I'm now working with Tom Warner, owner
- 21:14Speaker 1: of the Boston Red Sox, and I play freaking the
- 21:16Speaker 1: owner of the Boston the Boston Celtics, who is an
- 21:20Speaker 1: actual character, who was actually real person named Wick. So
- 21:26Speaker 1: it's gonna be on NBC. It's gonna be NBC back
- 21:30Speaker 1: on NBC Primetime. Everybody, Donald Phayz on the Legend. It's
- 21:35Speaker 1: not me, I'm with, I'm with I'm with some of
- 21:37Speaker 1: the best too. Holy cow Zach listen, listen, bro, yeah, bro, Yeah,
- 21:42Speaker 1: I'm available for a cameo. Thank you. You're gonna have
- 21:44Speaker 1: to do. You and dou Let Hill on my first
- 21:47Speaker 1: two calls, I'm telling you I'm there. I'm already in costume.
- 21:50Speaker 1: Can I wear this? You can wear that? Yes? Anyway,
- 21:53Speaker 1: It's amazing, Donald prime Time, We can't wait. And I
- 21:56Speaker 1: made a movie. I think it's really funny with Vanessa
- 22:01Speaker 1: Hudgins and an amazing French Canadian actress named Evelyn Bruchu
- 22:05Speaker 1: and it's called The French Girl. And uh, we had
- 22:08Speaker 1: a blast and I laughed my butt off. Dude, this
- 22:11Speaker 1: was a great It was a great hiatus. I know
- 22:13Speaker 1: everybody is a little upset that we were gone. I've
- 22:16Speaker 1: read it in my comments that people have missed the podcast.
- 22:19Speaker 1: I get it. I missed the podcast too, But I'm
- 22:21Speaker 1: gonna say something really quick. It's really awesome too. First
- 22:24Speaker 1: of all, Daniel and Joel were very busy with their
- 22:26Speaker 1: New Girl podcast. Yeah, I'm sure. I went well having
- 22:31Speaker 1: Zoe by the way at lunch, and I forgot to
- 22:34Speaker 1: bring you guys up. I saw Zoe d No, I'm sorry.
- 22:39Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I haven't seen her a while. So we
- 22:41Speaker 1: were catching up on other things. But I forgot to
- 22:43Speaker 1: mention our mutual Daniel and Joel team. But the hiatus
- 22:48Speaker 1: was great. I'm really happy to be back with you
- 22:50Speaker 1: guys again. This is gonna be I mean, we got
- 22:53Speaker 1: we got two three more seasons, were running out of seasons,
- 22:57Speaker 1: so we have to save her, save save the flavor.
- 23:00Speaker 1: But also not only that, I like, I'm still really
- 23:04Speaker 1: interested in the idea of having callers call in and
- 23:08Speaker 1: pitch what our next what the podcast should be, what
- 23:12Speaker 1: the podcast should be one, and what our next show
- 23:15Speaker 1: should be. Just suggestion. I love that idea. If you
- 23:19Speaker 1: guys could email us at uh scrubs iHeart at gmail
- 23:24Speaker 1: dot com with a voicemail just telling us what you
- 23:28Speaker 1: would like to see in the future seasons, then we
- 23:31Speaker 1: can you know, discuss and contrast with multiple people's thoughts.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Y'all here else feeling it? Wow? Could we even play
- 23:38Speaker 1: those on the heel? That would be interesting? Love all right,
- 23:42Speaker 1: so send us a voice recording. UM, now are we
- 23:44Speaker 1: asking for We're asking for pitches? Well, Donald, you said
- 23:48Speaker 1: two different things. One is what do you want the
- 23:50Speaker 1: podcast to become after season nine? Right? And you know
- 23:53Speaker 1: there was a season nine of the show. I had
- 23:55Speaker 1: no idea and then then and then the other thing
- 23:58Speaker 1: is what do you want the Knew Donald and Zach
- 24:01Speaker 1: TV show to be? Right? Or movie? Whatever it is?
- 24:06Speaker 1: I think TV show would be fun, A limited series
- 24:08Speaker 1: would be fun. It would be nice. It would be
- 24:11Speaker 1: nice to do a Star Wars with you. Oh, hold on, listen,
- 24:17Speaker 1: I'm hear me out, hear me out, dear listen, Bro listen,
- 24:24Speaker 1: I'm trying to put this on the white board. First
- 24:26Speaker 1: of all, the white board works, but I'm trying to
- 24:28Speaker 1: put this on the white board. White I want to
- 24:30Speaker 1: make I want to put this on the white board.
- 24:32Speaker 1: We play. Okay, So back in the day when dark
- 24:35Speaker 1: Horse used to have Star Wars comics, they had these
- 24:40Speaker 1: two imperial characters that were kind of like not a
- 24:43Speaker 1: part of Cannon, but like little what are the cartoon
- 24:47Speaker 1: strips at the end of every comic called Tag and Bank,
- 24:51Speaker 1: right tagging Bank were two imperials who were like fucking
- 24:54Speaker 1: fuck ups in the Imperial Army but had their own
- 24:58Speaker 1: adventure and stuff like that. Sometimes sometimes they died in
- 25:01Speaker 1: the comic book, sometimes they lived and stuff like that,
- 25:04Speaker 1: Like they go up. It would take place in uh in,
- 25:08Speaker 1: in the Star Wars world. What if you and me
- 25:10Speaker 1: were Tag and Bink. I'm in But you know what,
- 25:13Speaker 1: I just like that, you said. Do you remember how
- 25:15Speaker 1: I don't watch South Park, but there's a character that
- 25:17Speaker 1: dies every episode? Kenny, all right? So what if? Um? Like?
- 25:20Speaker 1: The one of the conceits of the show was that
- 25:22Speaker 1: we each episode, we die, and we die some hard.
- 25:27Speaker 1: No one's ever done that, like other than like I
- 25:30Speaker 1: don't know. Yeah, that was Eon Flux. MTV had that
- 25:33Speaker 1: show where the character at every episode, at the end
- 25:37Speaker 1: of every episode dies. Oh, I'm just saying that'd be
- 25:39Speaker 1: a funny show if like the audience, the conceit is that,
- 25:42Speaker 1: like they're gonna do their best, but we all know
- 25:43Speaker 1: they're gonna die. Hey, don't steal that. If you're listening,
- 25:50Speaker 1: we're gonna use that. Okay, But well, what I'm trying
- 25:56Speaker 1: to I'm trying to remind every one of the sound effects.
- 25:58Speaker 1: You honor me, Well, just play play the one that
- 26:00Speaker 1: you want to play about the ass play play I'm
- 26:03Speaker 1: sorry here it comes. Do you want the long version
- 26:05Speaker 1: of the short version? Let's do the long version? Okay, everybody,
- 26:08Speaker 1: whether it'd be taking a poop, whether it be a finger,
- 26:11Speaker 1: whether it be a tongue, whether you know, everybody likes
- 26:14Speaker 1: a little ass play, it's the true. All right. Well
- 26:20Speaker 1: that's a good segue into a show about babies. This
- 26:31Speaker 1: is seven or two my hard labor. The theme is
- 26:34Speaker 1: clearly babies and having babies and dealing with babies and
- 26:37Speaker 1: raising babies. It's directed by the one and only the
- 26:42Speaker 1: our pilot director are the man who set the tone
- 26:45Speaker 1: for the whole show, Adam Bernstein And um, and we
- 26:49Speaker 1: open with you know, if you recall JD, isn't this
- 26:52Speaker 1: weird conundrum where Kim is back. She's been caught lying
- 26:57Speaker 1: that she wasn't pregnant when she in fact is and
- 27:02Speaker 1: they're living together and she's already back into full I
- 27:05Speaker 1: love you mode and j D is not there yet
- 27:07Speaker 1: and not ready to say it back. He well, he
- 27:10Speaker 1: senses it's coming from her, and so he's trying to
- 27:12Speaker 1: dodge it because he doesn't want to tell her that
- 27:15Speaker 1: he doesn't have the same feelings that she does. Right,
- 27:17Speaker 1: And he's trying. He's in a weird place because he
- 27:19Speaker 1: doesn't he's trying to get there. I mean, she really
- 27:22Speaker 1: did something that was so horrible, lied about having a miscarriage,
- 27:25Speaker 1: right and and uh, and now she's fully pregnant and
- 27:29Speaker 1: she's kind of rushing him to get back to I
- 27:31Speaker 1: Love you, and he's he's torn. He's trying to be
- 27:33Speaker 1: a good dad to be, he's trying to be a
- 27:37Speaker 1: good partner, but in terms of getting to I Love you,
- 27:39Speaker 1: he's he's battling whether he's there yet and she's not.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Come on, both yeah, and She's like, let's get there now,
- 27:45Speaker 1: and yeah, and Elliot is. Elliot's running around the hospital
- 27:50Speaker 1: being dissed by Keith. That's yes, her. Keith is so
- 27:55Speaker 1: upset still that understandably, Yeah that she you know, uh,
- 28:01Speaker 1: not only did she force him to engage his to
- 28:07Speaker 1: be to promise to was it to betroth? He promised
- 28:13Speaker 1: to he promised to be her husband someday, and then
- 28:16Speaker 1: in the process of doing so, she realized she doesn't
- 28:19Speaker 1: love him at all. Yeah, but Elliott says that a lot. Well,
- 28:23Speaker 1: she didn't do it last She j did it to her,
- 28:26Speaker 1: So that's true. That's true. This is but I mean, honey,
- 28:30Speaker 1: we can all agree with what she did to Keith
- 28:32Speaker 1: is so fucked up. It's the exact same thing JD
- 28:34Speaker 1: did to her. Really, I mean, I feel like that
- 28:37Speaker 1: episode was at the end of last season. She where
- 28:39Speaker 1: she was like on again, off again, on again, off again.
- 28:41Speaker 1: It was like torture and in front of the Hole's
- 28:44Speaker 1: hospital was watching from the windows. Yeah, poor guy. Yeah,
- 28:47Speaker 1: But anyway, Keith Is just says she's disgusting. I mean,
- 28:50Speaker 1: it's a pretty pretty talk about a pretty uh tricky
- 28:53Speaker 1: thing to do. Try and work with the woman who
- 28:56Speaker 1: just broke off your marriage, uh, engagement. That's why you
- 29:00Speaker 1: don't take people at work? Well, Keith is finding out
- 29:03Speaker 1: the hard way. Why why that's not a good idea.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Elliott has a flashback, which is rare. All right, then
- 29:11Speaker 1: we don't do that two munch with Elliott and um,
- 29:13Speaker 1: it's that she won't say terminal to any patient. She
- 29:16Speaker 1: a voice saying the word terminal. Right, so somebody has
- 29:20Speaker 1: an inoperable brain tumor and she informs the patients loved one,
- 29:27Speaker 1: and the patients loved one asked, well, is it terminal?
- 29:30Speaker 1: And she's like, no, no, she knows she's I think
- 29:34Speaker 1: she said I wouldn't say that right, And then he
- 29:36Speaker 1: goes so she he has a chance to live, and
- 29:38Speaker 1: she goes, no, it's tricky. Now we enter a scene
- 29:43Speaker 1: where you call me Nilo Wafer. Can we talk about
- 29:48Speaker 1: a scene? Can we talk about it? Seem Batro, who
- 29:51Speaker 1: is one of our very funny writers who plays Josephine
- 29:53Speaker 1: with the high pitched voice. Yes, that voice is ridiculously annoying.
- 29:58Speaker 1: It I think it's seemed did that voice? And Bill
- 30:01Speaker 1: was like, okay, well, now you're on the show because
- 30:03Speaker 1: we have to character Oh you can't even listen to it.
- 30:10Speaker 1: It's so it's so good and annoying. Cox's trying to
- 30:14Speaker 1: get her not anything. It's super funny. Yeah, he made talks,
- 30:18Speaker 1: makes her write stuff down on a piece of paper.
- 30:21Speaker 1: But then when she says spoiler alert, when she checks,
- 30:23Speaker 1: just like Police Academy. Almost where at the end of it,
- 30:26Speaker 1: she finally says it in a normal voice, Yeah, we're
- 30:29Speaker 1: your doctors. Yeah, I think it goes. How come you
- 30:31Speaker 1: don't talk like that? And she goes because it hurts
- 30:34Speaker 1: my voice turns is obsessed with a video game? Now.
- 30:39Speaker 1: I looked this up on Scrubs Wiki. I guess I
- 30:42Speaker 1: have a couple of questions. Okay, how come there's not
- 30:44Speaker 1: two screens? Why is there not two screens? It's not
- 30:46Speaker 1: even two guns, It's like it's just one. Yeah, that's
- 30:49Speaker 1: a big that's a big plot hole in this realistic Okay,
- 30:52Speaker 1: now I looked it up. I guess it's supposed to
- 30:54Speaker 1: be like a like a Halo thing, but it's but
- 30:56Speaker 1: it's actually a real game called Enemy Territory Quake Wars. Daniel,
- 31:00Speaker 1: you probably twitched that. Oh, Daniel loves his video games.
- 31:05Speaker 1: If you look at his Instagram, guys, Daniel, what's your
- 31:07Speaker 1: Instagram again? DJ underscore Daniel, there's there's your there's your
- 31:12Speaker 1: brother in law back? No, no, why it's so funny.
- 31:15Speaker 1: He kind of looks like you, Daniel, your brother in
- 31:18Speaker 1: law looks like an UFC fighter. No, he looks like
- 31:21Speaker 1: he could be Daniel's real brother. All right, he's trying
- 31:24Speaker 1: to tiptoe. That's funny. Tell me he didn't sneak in
- 31:26Speaker 1: and out. Tell him, tell him, tell him he was
- 31:28Speaker 1: not smooth. We saw it, all right. So they're playing
- 31:31Speaker 1: Enemy Territory Quake Wars, which scrubs Wiki reveals wasn't even
- 31:35Speaker 1: out for Xbox when the show aired. A little trivia
- 31:39Speaker 1: for you there. Nobody cares, Trevor, Okay, But most importantly,
- 31:43Speaker 1: the whole conceit is that it's a two player game,
- 31:46Speaker 1: and every time they cut to the screen, we only
- 31:48Speaker 1: see one person playing with one gun. Yes, so there
- 31:52Speaker 1: you go. Maybe both players. Maybe one person does direction
- 31:56Speaker 1: the other person does. No, you wouldn't. Whomever whomever you
- 31:59Speaker 1: play with, and I think you play with three people
- 32:02Speaker 1: in this episode. You never see two two people playing
- 32:08Speaker 1: like somebody somebody effed up the I'm not gonna Halo Halo.
- 32:14Speaker 1: I correct me if I'm wrong. Halo. Back in the day,
- 32:16Speaker 1: you used to be able to have two screens, right, yeah,
- 32:18Speaker 1: up up four couch co up. Oh yeah four. We
- 32:22Speaker 1: used to do that. We were making Last Kiss. We
- 32:25Speaker 1: would all huddle almost seven out on. Oh yeah, did
- 32:32Speaker 1: you guys play Golden Eye on the game cube? That's
- 32:34Speaker 1: the first one? Yeah, man, everybody did. I didn't. It's funny.
- 32:37Speaker 1: There was a game cube there was was it Golden Eye?
- 32:40Speaker 1: It was golden I wasn't it. That's what it was.
- 32:43Speaker 1: There was a Golden Eye joke and in the movie
- 32:46Speaker 1: The French Girl, I just did and I was like, guys,
- 32:47Speaker 1: I don't know if everybody knows Golden Eye, and the
- 32:49Speaker 1: director was like, dude, everybody knows gold It was the first.
- 32:54Speaker 1: That one and that one and Star Fox were the
- 32:56Speaker 1: first two. I guess Duke knuke them also like we're
- 33:00Speaker 1: the first two. Duke Nukembe, Duke nukemb Yeah, I think
- 33:06Speaker 1: you said Duke Nukem. I said Duke Nukembe. All right, audience,
- 33:10Speaker 1: that's anyway. But those are like the first. It was
- 33:14Speaker 1: at first player games where you're running around multiple and
- 33:18Speaker 1: multiple people could play and you shoot each other. Yeah,
- 33:21Speaker 1: your first person shooters. Well, we used to do on
- 33:23Speaker 1: on Last Kissles we all do the huddle in someone's
- 33:26Speaker 1: hotel room and we would do the four screen thing, right,
- 33:30Speaker 1: but we all be in one space. It would be
- 33:32Speaker 1: just the four of us, like, you know, like against
- 33:34Speaker 1: each other in one room. You know, you had that
- 33:37Speaker 1: mode on Halo. Yeah, and it was just you know,
- 33:41Speaker 1: and we would just go at each other. And it
- 33:42Speaker 1: was one guy, Eric chrishn Olsen was amazing and he
- 33:44Speaker 1: would kill us all every time. It was so fun.
- 33:47Speaker 1: There's always one. I used to love playing star Fox
- 33:49Speaker 1: when star Fox came out back in a day, because
- 33:52Speaker 1: you could play you know, the split screen, but also
- 33:55Speaker 1: you could play a tank, a ship, and or a person.
- 33:58Speaker 1: Uh if you got if you got to a high
- 34:01Speaker 1: enough level, if you beat the game over and over again,
- 34:04Speaker 1: the co op mode would turn into more you'd have
- 34:10Speaker 1: more options. So it would start off where you're just
- 34:12Speaker 1: everybody's in a plane, But if you beat the game,
- 34:14Speaker 1: then you could get the tank, and so somebody could
- 34:16Speaker 1: play the tank while you're in a plane, and if
- 34:18Speaker 1: you got shot out of the tank, you could freaking
- 34:20Speaker 1: beat the per You could run on the ground and
- 34:22Speaker 1: pick up power ups and shoot people and it was
- 34:25Speaker 1: hard to find you when you were a little man
- 34:26Speaker 1: and stuff like that. Yeah, but that was Star Fox.
- 34:30Speaker 1: So people don't do that anymore, right, Like, if you're
- 34:32Speaker 1: playing with a friend in the same room, do they
- 34:35Speaker 1: still do the split screen thing? They do, but it's
- 34:38Speaker 1: better if the person has their own port. Like you
- 34:40Speaker 1: can take your Xbox or your PlayStation with you wherever
- 34:45Speaker 1: you go, now, so you could set up a small,
- 34:47Speaker 1: tiny monitor and play. So that's what people do. I
- 34:50Speaker 1: would rather do it that way, where I can look
- 34:52Speaker 1: at my whole Yeah, here's you're like, where are you great?
- 34:57Speaker 1: I was never good enough. I was never good enough
- 34:59Speaker 1: to be a multi asking look at anybody else's screen,
- 35:03Speaker 1: all right? So my baby pager gives off and we
- 35:06Speaker 1: have a three person celebratory jump hug, and I say
- 35:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna be a Oh you say I'm gonna be
- 35:12Speaker 1: a bluncle, black uncle. Yeah, now this was hilarious. Colin Hay,
- 35:17Speaker 1: I have a fantasy where Colin Hay comes out of
- 35:19Speaker 1: Kim's vagina singing come from the landown Under and you're
- 35:25Speaker 1: like that, So that's what that songs about. Beautiful accust too.
- 35:34Speaker 1: It's really funny. Oh my goodness. First of all the
- 35:38Speaker 1: sound of him popping out of the vagina, but then
- 35:41Speaker 1: the guitar that was it really likes no, it was
- 35:45Speaker 1: way more graphic than that. It was like a oh gosh,
- 35:50Speaker 1: like they really like they didn't say like oh he
- 35:54Speaker 1: really he really directed them to be like no, like
- 35:56Speaker 1: make it the sound if you pull the guitar out
- 35:58Speaker 1: of someone's vagina, or maybe maybe without the strings, without right,
- 36:10Speaker 1: But that was funny. It's good to see Colinny by
- 36:11Speaker 1: the way, that version. Um, you know, if you gotta go,
- 36:15Speaker 1: we always plug Colin. He tours NonStop, So go see
- 36:17Speaker 1: Colin hayat down. Wait, hold up, isn't he on tour
- 36:21Speaker 1: with Ringko Star? Isn't he on tour with Ringo Star?
- 36:24Speaker 1: They are looking it up for us, but um, go
- 36:26Speaker 1: see Colin Hay when he comes to your town. Not
- 36:28Speaker 1: only is I think he's a part of Ringo Star's
- 36:30Speaker 1: band right now he plays all those songs but acoustic
- 36:34Speaker 1: and just like this, and it's they're so amazing stripped down.
- 36:37Speaker 1: And then he also plays all the genius songs you
- 36:40Speaker 1: know and love that we put on scrubs and he
- 36:42Speaker 1: also tells the funniest anecdotes. It's like half stand up
- 36:45Speaker 1: because he has the funniest stories. I did laugh when
- 36:48Speaker 1: Kim say she wanted her baby to feel like a rainbow.
- 36:50Speaker 1: When it's no way, you missed the timing. So he goes.
- 36:54Speaker 1: He goes, uh, um, don't worry, it's gonna be like
- 36:58Speaker 1: passing a marshmallow. And she goes, that's sticky and weird.
- 37:01Speaker 1: And he goes a unicorn and she goes, that's a
- 37:03Speaker 1: giant horse with a horn on its head. And I go,
- 37:07Speaker 1: I go, passing a rainbow. She goes, oh, that sounds nice.
- 37:15Speaker 1: It would be nice to pass light through. Yeah, passing
- 37:19Speaker 1: a rainbow the most JD thing ever. Passing the baby's
- 37:25Speaker 1: gonna be like passing a rainbow. But now Kelso lives
- 37:28Speaker 1: in the hospital, Yes he does. We're starting to do
- 37:30Speaker 1: you know why Donald because Enid uh something with Enid.
- 37:35Speaker 1: Enid caught him hitting on her speech therapist. But wait
- 37:41Speaker 1: a second, wait, en can't. It's like she has no
- 37:48Speaker 1: like she's like one of those patients that doesn't move
- 37:50Speaker 1: and steps food through. No, I think she's in a wheelchair,
- 37:52Speaker 1: because he says that she rolled in so I think
- 37:54Speaker 1: she's in a wheel Yeah, but like I think she's
- 37:56Speaker 1: in a wheelchair with very little like she just has
- 37:59Speaker 1: a finger that can move type situation. Like. No, I
- 38:01Speaker 1: don't think she's she's I think she has more she
- 38:04Speaker 1: has more ability than that. I don't know, but she
- 38:06Speaker 1: definitely has a speech therapist that Kelso tried to bang.
- 38:12Speaker 1: So the janitor agrees to play the video game with you. Yes,
- 38:16Speaker 1: the tour with Ringo Star. So let's read this real quick.
- 38:19Speaker 1: So Colin Hayes touring solo in the UK right now.
- 38:21Speaker 1: Yeh was touring earlier this year with Ringo Star. But
- 38:24Speaker 1: that's where has come to an end. Okay, go see
- 38:27Speaker 1: him everybody in the UK or wherever he is when
- 38:29Speaker 1: he comes to your town. He tours pretty regularly and
- 38:32Speaker 1: you will not be disappointed. I drink good coffee. Oh
- 38:36Speaker 1: every money go on comes from a place that all away.
- 38:46Speaker 1: And when I'm done, I feel like talking without you.
- 38:52Speaker 1: He there's less to see. You know what movie soundtrack
- 38:55Speaker 1: that's from Donald? It's one of your movies. Come on, buddy,
- 39:00Speaker 1: last Kiss. Oh, I know it's right. It's the one
- 39:04Speaker 1: with you and Sutton Foster. No, what's the one with
- 39:08Speaker 1: what's the one with you and the girl from the
- 39:10Speaker 1: real world? I mean that's last kiss you know, Padme,
- 39:16Speaker 1: the one with me and Padme. Oh yeah, I knew
- 39:19Speaker 1: that would land. It's from Garden State. Yeah, wait, that's
- 39:27Speaker 1: what that's what you know one? You know the soundtrack,
- 39:30Speaker 1: the one is that what? The one with San Holmes
- 39:33Speaker 1: in it? Too late? The late Surrian home Rest in Peace? Okay,
- 39:38Speaker 1: a scene boxer we talked about. She's hilarious. Um, there's
- 39:42Speaker 1: only one gun in the video game. Now, so Kim
- 39:44Speaker 1: starts going to labor and now this this this um
- 39:48Speaker 1: sort of stereotype of women getting belligerent when they're giving birth.
- 39:52Speaker 1: Donald you would know firsthand does this really happen? Um, well,
- 39:56Speaker 1: it didn't happen with Casey because Kim really fulfills the
- 40:00Speaker 1: stereotype and started getting what did she? But hold on, now,
- 40:04Speaker 1: what did she expect? What? You know? This is where
- 40:08Speaker 1: this is where it's like, all right, I get it,
- 40:10Speaker 1: he doesn't love you, and that's kind of hurting your feelings.
- 40:13Speaker 1: But you also lied about being pregnant. She's lied about
- 40:17Speaker 1: freaking not you know what I mean? And and and
- 40:19Speaker 1: he's said, you know what, I'm gonna quote unquote do
- 40:22Speaker 1: the right thing and stick by you. That doesn't mean
- 40:25Speaker 1: this brother got a freaking in a less than in
- 40:28Speaker 1: less than a year, be like, I love you less
- 40:30Speaker 1: than a year, dude. It's we're talking like the time
- 40:32Speaker 1: of like a month maybe right, Like, how is that?
- 40:36Speaker 1: What do you expect? What do you you expect him hormones? Though, Yeah,
- 40:40Speaker 1: that's what you. I knew you always gonna say that
- 40:42Speaker 1: because I think that the idea is that she's crazily
- 40:45Speaker 1: you know, in that crazy state of where where again
- 40:48Speaker 1: I've never been through it, but where women can sometimes
- 40:50Speaker 1: be like I fucking hate job. You know, she's like
- 40:52Speaker 1: there and and she just can't send her her words
- 40:55Speaker 1: and so she's like, say I love you or it's
- 40:57Speaker 1: over and he's like what, But it then is over
- 41:01Speaker 1: because he doesn't say it, Yeah, because he doesn't want
- 41:03Speaker 1: to lie. He's like, he's like I need to you know,
- 41:05Speaker 1: I'm still figuring out my stuff. He's trying to. But
- 41:07Speaker 1: I don't think that's what she wants though. Look at
- 41:09Speaker 1: the end of the day, maybe she finally feels like
- 41:11Speaker 1: what I did was wrong, but releasing j D now
- 41:15Speaker 1: or you know, ending the relationship now isn't necessarily gonna
- 41:19Speaker 1: solve the problem. Uh uh, you know that's not gonna
- 41:25Speaker 1: it's not gonna fix anything. If anything, it's gonna make
- 41:27Speaker 1: it even more difficult. You know. I would say, let's
- 41:31Speaker 1: see what happens when the baby's born you're around the baby,
- 41:34Speaker 1: because what happens when she decides I'm out, I'm gonna
- 41:38Speaker 1: go live in another city? Right? Well, I don't think
- 41:42Speaker 1: she has a leg to stand on with this argument,
- 41:44Speaker 1: but that doesn't mean that she's not going there. Um,
- 41:46Speaker 1: she definitely has a leg to stand on. It's her baby. Well,
- 41:49Speaker 1: he can't stand on the baby. Know, I'm saying she
- 41:51Speaker 1: doesn't never, she can't stay on the baby. That's not good.
- 41:54Speaker 1: That's no I'm saying. She her argument of like say
- 41:59Speaker 1: I love you now or it's over is makes no
- 42:02Speaker 1: sense and it's fair. That's what I'm saying. Yes, that's
- 42:04Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Okay. Well, Cox's storyline is he's running
- 42:08Speaker 1: all over around the hospital. His child needs a shot,
- 42:10Speaker 1: and he doesn't want to give the child, his own
- 42:13Speaker 1: child a shot, because it doesn't want the child to
- 42:14Speaker 1: associate him with pain. Jordan is fast asleep and couldn't care.
- 42:20Speaker 1: But also the pediatrician is doctor no shot. He feels
- 42:24Speaker 1: the same way doctor Cox does. He's like, if I
- 42:26Speaker 1: have to give this kid a shot now, every time
- 42:28Speaker 1: they come see me, they're going to be afraid. Not.
- 42:30Speaker 1: I wonder if that's a real thing. If there's pediatricians
- 42:32Speaker 1: who always make the nurses give the shot, I wonder
- 42:35Speaker 1: if that's a thing. Let us new listeners. Yes, if doctors,
- 42:40Speaker 1: doctors who nurses who aren't yelling at your device, let
- 42:43Speaker 1: us know. You know what, my kids pediatrician never administered shots.
- 42:47Speaker 1: It was really Yeah, you'd think it, he would think
- 42:50Speaker 1: because of how loyal we were to the truth and
- 42:53Speaker 1: everyone saying that this is the most accurate show that
- 42:56Speaker 1: they wouldn't pull that out of their butt. But who knows. Hey,
- 42:58Speaker 1: By the way, this is the first first although mask
- 43:02Speaker 1: covered appearance of Shirley formally Laverne. Again, um, we don't
- 43:08Speaker 1: go there yet. All JD says is like she looks
- 43:12Speaker 1: oddly familiar or something like that. The hair is different,
- 43:15Speaker 1: that's all. The hair is different. And she says. All
- 43:19Speaker 1: she says is who did he? Uh? Who did he
- 43:22Speaker 1: say that too? I think I remember that correctly. Someone
- 43:28Speaker 1: says like that he doesn't love me or something. Who
- 43:30Speaker 1: do you say that too, she says, And then and
- 43:31Speaker 1: then someone says the mother of his baby and she says, no,
- 43:34Speaker 1: he didn't, or every heere what the baby delivering doctor
- 43:38Speaker 1: is obstetrician? I never had one. I don't know it
- 43:43Speaker 1: could be anyway. So that's the first appearance of Shirley Um.
- 43:49Speaker 1: As as you've faithful listeners know, um. Bill Um killed
- 43:55Speaker 1: off Laverne because he was thinking that the show is
- 43:58Speaker 1: probably gonna come to an end and we needed a
- 44:00Speaker 1: dramatic uh he does season six would be the last season. Yeah,
- 44:04Speaker 1: And we got three and then we got and then
- 44:07Speaker 1: we got another season. And he felt really bad because
- 44:10Speaker 1: he's a very compassionate man, that he put Alma out
- 44:13Speaker 1: of work. So he said to her, don't worry if
- 44:16Speaker 1: if we happen to come back, I'll make it that
- 44:19Speaker 1: you come back as your twin sister, Shirley Laverne. And
- 44:22Speaker 1: surely that's hilarious. And I remember Aloma being like, well,
- 44:25Speaker 1: I'm gonna do it, like just to be different, like
- 44:26Speaker 1: with a Southern accent or something, and Bill and she
- 44:29Speaker 1: did it for like like one scene, and Bill was like, yeah, no, no, no, no,
- 44:34Speaker 1: don't do that. She surely has the same accent as Laverne.
- 44:40Speaker 1: It's rare that I laugh at my my own performances.
- 44:43Speaker 1: That's not true. But go ahead. But when Church says, oh, yeah,
- 44:48Speaker 1: well I'm finishing this game, and you give her a look,
- 44:51Speaker 1: the look that he gives and the look that he
- 44:54Speaker 1: gives Carla, I've given that look before. Let's say, Donald,
- 45:03Speaker 1: I know I'm dead, I'm going out with the Bad.
- 45:07Speaker 1: I'm going now, I'm going That's like, you know what
- 45:11Speaker 1: that look is. It's like the guy who's like Kimba,
- 45:14Speaker 1: what is it when he screams and goes into the
- 45:16Speaker 1: game the video game guy? Right, right right, I'm going in.
- 45:25Speaker 1: But even though I know I'm gonna die, I'm going in.
- 45:28Speaker 1: That shit made me laugh so hard. And that's the way.
- 45:30Speaker 1: You're wearing a very nice Optimist Prime eighty four T
- 45:33Speaker 1: shirt the whole episode. Well, then meets the guy. Don't
- 45:36Speaker 1: you want that shirt? You rock that shirt in real life?
- 45:40Speaker 1: Have you seen that Optimist Prime that actually transforms toy
- 45:44Speaker 1: robots in disguise, Well, you've seen that. It's so cool.
- 45:48Speaker 1: I wants face the Bad to destroy the Donald. Do
- 45:56Speaker 1: you want that to be your Christmas present. It's a
- 45:58Speaker 1: trans listen please, no, no, no, I don't want it.
- 46:03Speaker 1: I give it to Rocco or he's no, no, no no,
- 46:06Speaker 1: none of my kids want that either. I guess it's
- 46:09Speaker 1: very cool. The deer has How about this deer has Bro?
- 46:13Speaker 1: The trans the automatically transforming optimist Prime is really cool. Yes,
- 46:19Speaker 1: you know what else is really cool? Gifting it to
- 46:21Speaker 1: two podcasts. Blacks Black series vehicles are cool too. So
- 46:28Speaker 1: like if you could come out with a Black series
- 46:30Speaker 1: X Wing has Bro or a Black series Millennium Falcon
- 46:34Speaker 1: or a Black series Razor Crest. I get the vintage
- 46:37Speaker 1: collection as a smaller size, and it's easier to do.
- 46:41Speaker 1: But a Black series freaking Starship sounds one more thing.
- 46:51Speaker 1: So what sideshow collectibles. I see what you're doing, yo,
- 46:55Speaker 1: side show, I see what you're doing. You're coming out
- 46:57Speaker 1: with one six scale vehicles. Holy cow. I got the Blurg,
- 47:04Speaker 1: I got the freaking all right, shut up, wait, let
- 47:06Speaker 1: me finish. I got the Blurg, I got the swoop Bike,
- 47:09Speaker 1: I got the Speeder Bike. I can't wait for the
- 47:12Speaker 1: Naboos Starfighter. Okay, that's what I'm talking about, all right, listen,
- 47:16Speaker 1: We're gonna take a break and we come back. Dear
- 47:18Speaker 1: dear mesico me. We'll be right back and we're bad. Wait,
- 47:31Speaker 1: I gotta give you some of this real quick. I
- 47:39Speaker 1: know you missed that funky. I want to give all
- 47:42Speaker 1: the audience all their greatest hits. By the way, this
- 47:47Speaker 1: is not an ad, but can I tell you that
- 47:48Speaker 1: the Hundai Ionic five one motor trend SEV of the Year.
- 47:52Speaker 1: So do you think it was us or do you
- 47:56Speaker 1: think it was Jason Bateman. I think it was. It
- 47:59Speaker 1: was a team effort. I also think the engineers who
- 48:01Speaker 1: built the car probably something, but maybe maybe maybe. I
- 48:05Speaker 1: do feel proud though, that the the thing that we
- 48:08Speaker 1: endorse is one SEV the year. I feel like I
- 48:11Speaker 1: was on the team. I feel like I feel like
- 48:15Speaker 1: I feel what it feels like when your sports team wins.
- 48:17Speaker 1: Donald Well, we can honestly say, we can honestly say
- 48:21Speaker 1: in this situation, we did it. We did we did it.
- 48:25Speaker 1: I sent that I sent when they when the when
- 48:27Speaker 1: the Ionic five one Motor trunk card the year. I
- 48:29Speaker 1: sent it to these guys and I was like, guys,
- 48:31Speaker 1: we did it, Like we Hey, guys, our initial drawings
- 48:35Speaker 1: and all our engineering, we did it. Elliott knows JD well,
- 48:40Speaker 1: Elliott knows JDS so well. That was such a great
- 48:44Speaker 1: little seed plant right there, because now we know where
- 48:47Speaker 1: this is going. If you're smart, when Elliott comes in
- 48:51Speaker 1: and says, oh, you're having a baby and she knows
- 48:54Speaker 1: that you love the jumping up and down hug. Even
- 48:58Speaker 1: no Turk said it was corny. That's a little that's
- 49:00Speaker 1: a little. That's a little seed playing a little Easter egg.
- 49:03Speaker 1: For those who are really paying attention to this show
- 49:07Speaker 1: at that point, If you're a Scrubs fan and you
- 49:09Speaker 1: were watching this show and that happened and you didn't think,
- 49:12Speaker 1: oh shits something about to happen with these two, you
- 49:15Speaker 1: really aren't paying attention. But how we do. Yeah, it
- 49:18Speaker 1: is a sweet moment that Elliott like gets j D
- 49:21Speaker 1: and all his dorkiness. You know what I'm saying. Yeah,
- 49:25Speaker 1: she loves it, she loves it. She does love him. Everybody, No, wait,
- 49:31Speaker 1: I want to talk. Don't start singing Christmas yet? Too soon?
- 49:34Speaker 1: It's not too soon, not too soon for the Mariah
- 49:36Speaker 1: carry song. When do we have to hear that? Maria?
- 49:38Speaker 1: As soon as soon as an efforts, as soon as
- 49:41Speaker 1: Halloween is over. As soon as Halloween is over, the
- 49:44Speaker 1: day after she unlocks the vault, she spends that thing
- 49:48Speaker 1: after Halloween, Thanksgiving, after Halloween, because that's when the money
- 49:51Speaker 1: starts coming in again. She's like, let me open, let
- 49:54Speaker 1: me open the boat. She makes a year off that song.
- 49:58Speaker 1: Come on, buddy, got a she got a Scrooge mcdun
- 50:04Speaker 1: She got a Scrooge McDuck vote that she opens every
- 50:07Speaker 1: year and swims in the money that she makes from
- 50:10Speaker 1: just that song alone. Dude, By the way, I told
- 50:13Speaker 1: Donald he was surprised here. I love Christmas music. I
- 50:16Speaker 1: like when it's the season, Like I listened to Elvis Christmas,
- 50:19Speaker 1: um Ella, Elephants, geld and Louis Christmas for Christmas? When
- 50:25Speaker 1: that Peanuts Christmas? When when when Mariah Carry's song comes,
- 50:29Speaker 1: I don't put that one on. Oh you gotta listen.
- 50:31Speaker 1: It's such a great. No, I don't put on pop
- 50:38Speaker 1: hold on now, I'm boy. I think Crosby Mariah Carries
- 50:41Speaker 1: All I Want for Christmas is going to go down
- 50:43Speaker 1: in history as a classic. We should make a Christmas movie.
- 50:48Speaker 1: Oh like to be on Hallmark or not? Like a
- 50:53Speaker 1: Hallmark one. No offense the Hallmark ones. But I'm saying
- 50:56Speaker 1: we should make like our our sense of humor, but
- 50:58Speaker 1: like a Christmas holiday. Okay, So which McCall that made that?
- 51:02Speaker 1: Uh yeah, him and Anthony Mackie, but ours, ours would
- 51:06Speaker 1: be different. And also I think there's was about Hanaka specifically, right, Well,
- 51:10Speaker 1: Anthony Mackie wasn't was Anthony Anthony he was not Jewish.
- 51:15Speaker 1: But yeah, I think the film did center around Hanaka. Well,
- 51:20Speaker 1: ours wouldn't necessarily be Honeka centric. Just I don't mind
- 51:23Speaker 1: it being holik concentric. Honick eccentric sounds fun, okay, But
- 51:26Speaker 1: I'm just saying we could just make a holiday movie,
- 51:28Speaker 1: all right. If you hate the idea, you didn't, didn't didn't,
- 51:30Speaker 1: didn't Adam sand don't make one call eight Crazy Nights
- 51:33Speaker 1: or something like. It is a lot of cursing in
- 51:37Speaker 1: that one. Yeah, yeah, I want to talk about how, um,
- 51:43Speaker 1: you're playing the video game and Kelso says, hit him
- 51:46Speaker 1: with the lamb and in the game, and he goes,
- 51:51Speaker 1: I was talking to your wife. Hit him with the lamb,
- 51:53Speaker 1: hit him with the lamp. He's hammered. So Kelso lives
- 51:57Speaker 1: in the hospital now. So he's just sitting in the
- 51:59Speaker 1: break him getting hammered with a plumbox mug. Well, will
- 52:04Speaker 1: you guys play the video game? Right? Well, Carla reveals
- 52:06Speaker 1: that she's been playing the video game for a long time.
- 52:10Speaker 1: She discovered it when at home with Izzy. Right, I
- 52:14Speaker 1: wish my wife would discover video games. Well, ke, I
- 52:17Speaker 1: thought this was a very thing taken from your life,
- 52:19Speaker 1: because Carlo steps in for the janitor and she reveals
- 52:22Speaker 1: she's been playing all the time when she's up late
- 52:24Speaker 1: with Izzy, and you say, You've never been more sexy
- 52:27Speaker 1: than me in my life. At one point, when me
- 52:29Speaker 1: and Casey were dating, I bought her a game Boy.
- 52:32Speaker 1: Remember when game Boy had like the three D version
- 52:35Speaker 1: of it two? Right, And so she would play She
- 52:39Speaker 1: would play Lego, any of the Lego games. So I
- 52:44Speaker 1: bought her Lego Star Wars. She finished it, and I
- 52:46Speaker 1: was like, oh, this is cute. So I bought her
- 52:47Speaker 1: all the Lego Star Wars. She finished them. She finished
- 52:50Speaker 1: all the Lego Harry Potters. Right. Yeah, she loved the
- 52:54Speaker 1: Lego Harry Potter because you had to do the thing
- 52:55Speaker 1: with the wand and stuff like that. She loved that one.
- 52:58Speaker 1: But I just remember thinking, holy shit, look I got
- 53:01Speaker 1: me a little gamer, and I was, and I was.
- 53:04Speaker 1: I was hoping that would turn into her and her
- 53:07Speaker 1: underwear playing video games in front of me right eventually,
- 53:14Speaker 1: but it never did. After a game boy, she was like,
- 53:17Speaker 1: this is dumb. Isn't like a thing on Twitch? Like
- 53:20Speaker 1: like girls who play but they play like in their lingerie. Daniel, Yes,
- 53:25Speaker 1: and they're not allowed to be naked. But to Beta,
- 53:28Speaker 1: do you play in your underwear ever? Daniel all the time? Wait, Daniel,
- 53:32Speaker 1: what's the funny rule? Like there was like a controversy
- 53:35Speaker 1: like they can't be in a bathing suit unless they're
- 53:36Speaker 1: in a hot tub or something. So they sit up,
- 53:39Speaker 1: so they sit in the hot tub and they play
- 53:41Speaker 1: in their game in the hot tub, or or they
- 53:43Speaker 1: just sit in the hot tub and talk to people.
- 53:45Speaker 1: But okay, but you could be naked in the hot tub,
- 53:49Speaker 1: but you could be No, you can't be naked. You
- 53:50Speaker 1: can't be naked. Women were trying to correct me if
- 53:53Speaker 1: I'm wrong. They were trying to just play in a
- 53:55Speaker 1: bikini and then they meet a rule saying you can't
- 53:57Speaker 1: be in a bathing suit unless they're in water. It's
- 54:01Speaker 1: you know, it was some very like it's like a
- 54:04Speaker 1: hodgepodge of different like rules they were trying to establish
- 54:06Speaker 1: at the same time, because like you know, it was
- 54:09Speaker 1: some you know, trying to policing what women were wearing.
- 54:11Speaker 1: And then they were like, well this is too revealing
- 54:13Speaker 1: or it's way to cycling, and some people were is
- 54:15Speaker 1: it only is this a rule that only applies to women?
- 54:18Speaker 1: Like a dude can be in his swimsuit and not
- 54:20Speaker 1: have to and not feel the ridicule of the twitch
- 54:24Speaker 1: community because they're in there because they're a boy. I
- 54:29Speaker 1: am not one hundred percent sure, but sure a guy
- 54:31Speaker 1: can play in shorts. I mean you can play in shorts,
- 54:34Speaker 1: for sure, but like, yeah, you know, can you play
- 54:36Speaker 1: you in your shorts topless? Is my question? A boy
- 54:38Speaker 1: a man? Yeah, I have seen that. I don't know
- 54:41Speaker 1: if that those people are still like anything. I have
- 54:45Speaker 1: another question. So you're saying that a woman can play
- 54:47Speaker 1: in lingerie though she just can't play in what's like
- 54:50Speaker 1: a brown underwear. I think it's I think they fall
- 54:52Speaker 1: into the same category. Wow, someone's job is to police that.
- 54:55Speaker 1: I know, it's all right, it's yeah, it's unfortunate. I
- 54:59Speaker 1: I would pay money to watch Daniel in a thong
- 55:03Speaker 1: play video games. I'm not gonna rinkay money. You can
- 55:06Speaker 1: just go a second. Daniel, are you telling me that
- 55:09Speaker 1: this is your twitch? I'm throwing ass all the time.
- 55:14Speaker 1: I can see where that would be attractive though, A
- 55:16Speaker 1: beautiful woman um playing video games in lingerie. I mean
- 55:20Speaker 1: it's you know, I can see where people would like
- 55:22Speaker 1: that if you like the video game. I could see
- 55:24Speaker 1: where anybody in lingerie playing video games is alluring. I
- 55:27Speaker 1: can see I could. I cannot Daniel an offense, Dan,
- 55:29Speaker 1: I don't want to see Daniel lingery. Dude, there's listen
- 55:32Speaker 1: out without calling HR, without calling HR, without calling HR. Daniel, Yes,
- 55:39Speaker 1: I really do believe that you can make some money
- 55:41Speaker 1: if you were. I don't think that's Dan's five. Daniel's
- 55:44Speaker 1: vibe is being funny and making quirky comments about the
- 55:48Speaker 1: game he's playing. Zach nailed it, thank you. How do
- 55:52Speaker 1: you make quirky comments about like why don't you tune in?
- 55:55Speaker 1: I've tuned in? No you haven't. I definitely have, absolutely
- 55:59Speaker 1: has he We talked about it on an episode. Yeah,
- 56:02Speaker 1: he came out sushi. Yeah, muck banging, muck bang. Yeah
- 56:06Speaker 1: he was doing a muck bang. We not even can
- 56:08Speaker 1: you muck You can't muck banging your lingerie either on YouTube?
- 56:14Speaker 1: You're in a hot tub? Can you just be on YouTube?
- 56:17Speaker 1: Can you muck bang naked on YouTube? Joel? Yeah, no, No,
- 56:21Speaker 1: you can't be nudity. There's no but Twitter you can
- 56:24Speaker 1: be nude. Yeah, they have porn on Twitter, Yeah they do.
- 56:29Speaker 1: And Elon Musk is about to take over, so who
- 56:31Speaker 1: knows what's going to happen over Yeah, listen, I'm sorry man,
- 56:34Speaker 1: that listen. Yeah, I'm not gonna say I don't know
- 56:37Speaker 1: anything about anything when it comes to when it comes
- 56:41Speaker 1: to the ship like that, but I have a feeling
- 56:43Speaker 1: that it's about to get really dangerous in a Twitter
- 56:45Speaker 1: verse show, like really really fucking dangerous. I've been off
- 56:48Speaker 1: of that for a while. Um, although I do, I
- 56:51Speaker 1: do occasionally like retweet something or check it, but every
- 56:54Speaker 1: time I come off, I feel like I have to
- 56:56Speaker 1: need a shower. Yeah it's um, it's hey, what was
- 56:59Speaker 1: the thing you wanted to? Um? Donald? Donald? The stream?
- 57:02Speaker 1: Oh the steam? Dude? That shit looks fired. Dude, do
- 57:10Speaker 1: you have one? Don't? I don't, But imagine it's like
- 57:12Speaker 1: a big switch that you can play computer games on,
- 57:15Speaker 1: like you can play again. You could play you could
- 57:17Speaker 1: play real games, you play independent games, or you play
- 57:20Speaker 1: you could play Grand Theft. You can play all of
- 57:22Speaker 1: those games. Steam Steam is basically like the iTunes of
- 57:25Speaker 1: video games and all sorts four PC for PC for PC.
- 57:30Speaker 1: But they made this device called the Steam the Steam
- 57:33Speaker 1: Deck that is like a big Nintendo switch that plays
- 57:36Speaker 1: all of the games on Steam. How much is it?
- 57:39Speaker 1: Like like six hundred dollars. There's like a bunch of
- 57:43Speaker 1: different tiers. Here's the thing. It's hard to come by.
- 57:46Speaker 1: It's hard to buy now too though. That's the other thing,
- 57:49Speaker 1: because I get I don't know. I didn't. I hadn't
- 57:52Speaker 1: heard of it until like a couple of days ago.
- 57:54Speaker 1: But I guess once people found out about it, that
- 57:57Speaker 1: shit became like a black like it's on stock x
- 58:00Speaker 1: That's how that's how dope it is, like you can
- 58:03Speaker 1: literally take your pieces news. Yeah, it's came out with
- 58:06Speaker 1: them last year. It's just that the demand for it
- 58:09Speaker 1: was way higher than the production, so like Steam was like,
- 58:12Speaker 1: oh shit, we have to make a lot more and
- 58:13Speaker 1: now they're like easier to come by it. But it's
- 58:15Speaker 1: like it's these different PC games, not like Xbox or well,
- 58:19Speaker 1: xboxes Xbox is somewhat PC. Like that's oh, so all
- 58:23Speaker 1: of the games that are in the Xbox are likely
- 58:25Speaker 1: also available on PC. Sure something, definitely a lot of them.
- 58:29Speaker 1: But moreover, it's that so many games that were only
- 58:32Speaker 1: for PC are now available in a handheld form. I see,
- 58:35Speaker 1: I see. So you don't what about independent Like if
- 58:37Speaker 1: you're a small independent um, you can also like put
- 58:41Speaker 1: your game out on Steam. Put your game out on Steam. Yeah,
- 58:43Speaker 1: you could say, you could. You know, most have you
- 58:45Speaker 1: played like weird independent small batch games? So many that's
- 58:51Speaker 1: a world I don't know anything about. So many five
- 58:53Speaker 1: dollars video games that are just like really really silly
- 58:56Speaker 1: and fun or just stupid. You know, it would be dope.
- 58:58Speaker 1: Remember the game x An x Wing Alliance Verse Tie Fighter.
- 59:02Speaker 1: They need to they need to. I know, there's I
- 59:04Speaker 1: know that there are still patches out there where you
- 59:07Speaker 1: can play it and stuff like that, but it's not
- 59:09Speaker 1: necessarily connected to a specific server, so you have to
- 59:12Speaker 1: find a server and all of that stuff. They need stuff.
- 59:15Speaker 1: That's what I don't understand. When a platform, if you've
- 59:17Speaker 1: got to kill a platform, don't kill the server, dude.
- 59:20Speaker 1: Let the servers still stay up man, like cost money
- 59:22Speaker 1: to run those servers if there's only five people on them. Like,
- 59:25Speaker 1: it's like that's why they remaster games and rerelease them.
- 59:30Speaker 1: So they kind of like, you know, you can make
- 59:31Speaker 1: money by selling it again, but then also repopulate some
- 59:34Speaker 1: of those servers and stuff like that. They need to repopulate.
- 59:37Speaker 1: They need to repopulate the x Wing Verse tie Fighter server,
- 59:40Speaker 1: or at least just put the game out so it
- 59:42Speaker 1: can play, so you can play the single player mode
- 59:46Speaker 1: of it. What do youcause, guys think of the leak
- 59:48Speaker 1: of that of the new Grand Theft looks awesome? Oh man,
- 59:51Speaker 1: oh I can't wait. I feel so bad for those developers,
- 59:54Speaker 1: but yeah, I'm excited that it's coming out. Well, I mean,
- 59:56Speaker 1: I understand no one wants a leak, but to me
- 59:58Speaker 1: is someone who doesn't play the game was like, that
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: looks like it's going to be incredible. Yeah. Yeah, I
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: think I think that is the exact response that anybody
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: should have to it. It's like, oh, great, the game's
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: getting made and it's look it looks great. But some
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: people are like, well, if you look at that pixel
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: over there, it looks like that's from that so lame
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: it was leaked. That's so lame. It was leaked under development,
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: Like that's people. That's why people are That's why when
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: they you know, you see those pictures of the cars
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: that are coming out covered in all those weird tarps
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: exactly because they're trying to test drive it without anyone
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: going like, why don't they do that to the bumper?
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: It's like, come on, man, No one's look and being
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: like I don't like the fact that it's black and white.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: It's like that's what literally they all look like. I
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: I all I know is I want that steam Deck
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: more than anything right now, Like I want that so bad.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: I can't I could taste it. I looked I looked
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: as hard to come by I have. I have so
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: many other questions. If anyone here from steam Deck could
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: help Donald, yeah one dear steams willing. Oh look all
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: of them, he says, they're available. No, you have you
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: have to you have to become U. You have to
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: become a member first for stage it's free, right, but
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: then after you become a member, I don't know. Are
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: they ready to ship already? Yeah, delivery in one to
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: two weeks. I'm looking at the website turn turns shut
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: the fuck up. Hey, most expensive one is six forty nine. Yeah,
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: and then she just want his three ninety nine. I
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: want to get this. I want to. I want to,
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: I want I want to. Doesn't look like your wife's
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: gonna see you for a couple of weeks. Now, my
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: wife isn't. My wife don't see me anyway. My wife
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: don't see me because you're doing animation because I'm always
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: in my animation room. Zact right, and I'm always working. Baby,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: your wife is so cool. She really you really did
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: find the perfect wife. I'm gonna tall you something right now.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: As long as I ye, as long as I let
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: it leave her ass alone, we're good. It's funny because
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: Casey watched Casey and I watched the same shows. So
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: there'll be times when, like, I know Donald's not watching
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: the show, and she's like you watching the new the
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: new season of the Vow or something like that that
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: like should should talking remember at the cult? And like
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: she's like, she's like, my girlfriend, we're like both up
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: at late talking about the Vow. Could we know Donald's
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: probably Donald's definitely not watching it or stinking, But Gaizy
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: and I like the same shows. And I'm like, I
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: know Donal's gonna watch this, but are you watching X
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: y Z. You gotta watch this. I'll be I'll be
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: sitting down, I'll be, you know, working my puppets, trying
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: to stage him and stuff like that in the in
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: the dining room while she's watching that ship and the
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: freaking her phone will be like, ban, yeah, it's me.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: I'm like, who the fuck are you talking to? It's like,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: can you believe that someone so just said? This is
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: that freaking doodle bugging about fucking vow the Vow or
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: watching the Vow television show? Oh tom Er, I have
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: made it through, dammer. I had to pause. It's so upsetting. Yeah,
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: that guy is such a good actor. Though he is
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: a good actor. I can't watch it though it really
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: I have to. I had to stop. I'm gonna finish it,
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: but it's so upsetting I had to. I had to
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: take a break. Nissi Nash, Wow, she's the neighbor. All right,
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: all right, well let's finish up here. Donald Um. Really
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: the theme is every parent needs to take a little
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: time off. Well we were that's one of them. As parents.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: Casey and I I don't know if we are anymore.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: I'm sure we still have some of these qualities. But
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: we were helicopter parents. We hovered over our child so much,
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: and we were trying to protect our children so much,
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Um, But eventually you got
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: to back off, man, because you don't want that. You
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: don't want that kid that, trust me, you don't want
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: the kid that's been helicoptered over, that's been hovered over
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: their whole life and protected like that. You want kids
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: to make mistakes. You want them to, you know, you
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: want them to believe it or not. You want them
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: to get hurt, You want them to you want them
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: to injure themselves. You want them to go through all
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: of this. You might not want it to be severe,
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: and you might not want it to be you know,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: something that's that that that that takes something away from them,
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: But you want them to experience all of these things,
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: you know. And if you're over them trying to protect
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: them always, you're not You're not doing a good service.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: You're not doing you're doing a disservice to your child.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: Yeah and so, but also but also you guys, you know,
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: I think you know you're you're a good you're a
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: good ying yang for each other, with with taking turns,
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: with giving each other a space to do your own thing,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: Like she lets you go do your animation thing. You know,
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: you let her have her her time. Well, it's more
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: of her giving me my space to me giving her
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: her space. Like we are all on top of my wife.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: I'm not gonna lie to you, from Wilder to Rocco,
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: to me, to my to to her, to the kids
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: that aren't even hers, you know what I mean, We're
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: all on time of her. We all give her stress,
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: we all give our stress and she and she handles
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: it and she deals with it with grace and Zach,
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: I love you. Yeah, it's amazing. But I think that's
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: what all of these people are going through. All of
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: these characters are going through on scrubs. They're going through
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: that moment of of you know, where can I deliver this?
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: I don't want this stress anymore? Who can I put
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: this stress on too? And who's willing to take it
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: from me for this moment? Because I need a break,
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: like Carlin needs a break. It's clear Turk is being
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: selfish and he takes multiple breaks. Cox is like I
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: need a break from I don't want to be a
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: bad guy, even all the way down to the freaking
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: she sleeps to the whole episode, you know what I mean,
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: Like it's it's it's very shot a week this week. Yeah,
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: they were like the line bed and sleep and we're
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: gonna shoot you from a couple different angles. She was like,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: can I really fall asleep in satin and sat um?
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: I laughed out loud. When Kelso is talking to his
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: son Harrison, yes, and he says, why can't you still
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: be with Gary? I always liked him? And he says,
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: what do you mean he stole your feelings? But that's
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: my lads, that's one of the last things I have.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: Harrison cannot find a good Harrison was sleeping or the
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: guy that Harrison was dating not sleeping? You can he
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: must him? Yeah, he probably drugged him. And yeah, Harrison
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: woke up in a cold bathtub. Harrison really cannot find
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: true love? Right, Okay, So at the end of the episode.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: At the end of the episode, Sam has arrived, and
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: I found it so surreal that the baby's name was Sam.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: You know what I mean, I never put it. I
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: never put it together because Sam Lloyd was alive when
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: we finished all of this, of course, you know what
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: I mean. Get where you're going with this that when
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: you watch it now and Sam is now a part
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: of this show, it means you know now that Sam
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: is gone and we miss him tremendously, but just it's
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: it's it's and I know Bill didn't do it on purpose,
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: but it's just such a great reminder, great person, you
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: know what I mean. And so when that happened, I
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: got a little emotional. I'm getting a little emotional right now, actually,
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: but I got a little emotional, like just thinking about
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: Holy cow. You know, Sam Lloyd's not with us anymore,
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: but Jad's son's name is Sam, so in a lot
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: of ways, Sam is still here. That's very sweet. I
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: did not think of that, but I like that a lot.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: One of the last funny lines that I thought was
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: when Elizabeth Banks says, I hate your hair and they impossible.
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: Nobody was that ever a conversation when we were making
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: the show, Like people were the fans. I know, the
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: fans hated that. I said, That's what I'm talking about.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: Like a lot of fans hated that. Like that was
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: Remember we had the whole show about complaints and one
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: of the complaints in real like Bill took all of
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: the complaints that we got. We were talking about that
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: right there that I always I don't think. I don't
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: think people. I didn't know that anyone carried. I was like,
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: you're what you talking about Willis? I thought it was funny.
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: Everybody needs to talk about Willis. There were a lot
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: of people that did not like it. I don't agree
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: with those people. And the show runs with the Jose
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: Gonzalez song Heartbeats, which is such a beautiful song. Um,
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: it's so moving, huh that and montage to that song.
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: Do you remember that other song by Don Johnson called
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: Heartbeats hotbeat, I'm looking for a hot remember that Don
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: Johnson had had a career look as a singer. As
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: a singer, look it up now, No, I get it
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: right now for you. I had sorry. I was on
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: t Swift midnights. Let me go to Heartbeats by Don Johnson.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: I'm just saying, I don't think it's going to be
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: at the top of the spot. You want somebody that
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: I don't know, But you're taking chests at me looking
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: like it's like, damn, it's seven seven, that's not that's fire. Diet, diet, diet, diet,
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: diet diet. Yeah, I never knew that Don Johnson had
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: a music career. Eighties rocks, very hardy. I don't care
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: what you can give it away. Yeah, Don Johnson, your
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: money don't mean much to me. That's all we got.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: But that's Don john Yeah. I should have picked the
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: chorus out, but then I'm looking for Okay, don't hurt
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: the babies that are lunching. All right, everyone, that's the show.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: We are so excited. You have a newly invigorated uh podcast.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: That's true. That are so stoked. We can do something
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: dope for you guys, though I don't know what it is.
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: Maybe we do another show where we watched the show
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: and we pressed play at the same time. Again, I'm
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: open to anything and everything. And this is so fun.
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: And I missed you guys, and I love you guys
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: and Donald. I'm so happy about your show getting picked up.
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: I'm happy about so many things. You know what we
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: didn't do today? What? And we should do it now?
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: At the end of the show, what, Daniel, Joel, what
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: have you guys been up to? Yeah? What have you
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: guys been up to? Joel? You always has so much
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: going on. I think you were at the Were you
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: at the world premiere of Wakonda Forever? Yeah? You saw
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: Wakonda last night. I want to talk about this. I
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: didn't go. She's not allowed to, probably because she's a journalist,
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: or are you allowed to? I can be very I
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: can be very broad about it and say that this
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: is a film about grief, but so much more about
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: how you process grief way after the event, right, And
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: I think that that's really special and unique. And I'm
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: so impressed with what Ryan Coogler has done. Um, I
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: heard so many things without spoiling anything, I heard that
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: there are just so many things that happened in this movie,
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: like a lot, a lot happens, and it's wonderful and
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: and I think especially you know, I went and saw
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: with my friend Danny, who's Mexican, and our friend Chyenne,
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: who's Nigerian, and so just to get that kind of
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: like representation, and you really just you feel the like
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: level of dedication to like accurately portraying these cultures and
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: it's it's so beautiful and wonderful and the like the
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: comedy is like over the top, but then so is
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: the action. But it's grounded in that heart, and I
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: think that's really hard. I mean, we've had a slew
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: of really bad superhero movies, um, and so they're so
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: talented that yeah, yeah, it was really good. It was
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: a fun night. I was about to say, I'm just
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: gonna say superhero movies seem to be going a different direction,
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: like and Supero television seems to be going a different
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: direction now where it's it's it's it's it's I don't
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: I don't want to say it's saturated, but it's very
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: it's a lot of it. There's a lot, a lot,
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: a lot of it. And so how can you be original? Now?
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: Is the question? With all of this. That's what makes
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: and Or so cool. And that's what makes House a
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: Dragon so cool because it was so they were, they were,
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: it was everywhere at one point, and now we've made
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: it so that we don't need all of the spectacular.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: Just tell me a story, exactly, trait. You know, if
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: the script is good enough, you don't, you don't. I mean,
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: obviously we want some action in an action show, but like,
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: if the script is good enough and the actors are
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: good enough, we'll just listen. In this giant epic to
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: two incredible actors talking, you know, right, And so I'm
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: I'm hoping. I've heard great things about Wakonda Forever and
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: I'm really excited to see it. But I'm hoping, you know,
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: I'm hoping that Marvel and DC start to I mean,
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: she Hawk was a version of that, but that was
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: meant to be campy, and it was meant to be,
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: you know what I mean. It was, but it was
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: meant to be. It was meant to be that. It
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: was meant to be. It's meant to be a television
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: show based on based on it. It's meant to be
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: a cheesy sup Yeah, it's meant to be. I watched
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: all of it. I interviewed the creator, Jessica Gao on
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: my show comic Metapod. It's no fatigues for the show. Yeah,
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: don't know, Joel give us a shout outs to Joel's podcast,
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: Yeah kamakon Metapod with Hector Navarro's my co host. He's
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: brilliant and so insightful and very very funny. We've gotten
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: a chance to interview a lot of really cool people.
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: Jean Carlos Pasito was our very first guest Jessica Gao,
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: creator of she Hulk, was on. We had the guy
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: who wrote the Daredevil episode of she Hulk, which I
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: think was everyone's favorite episode of that series. We've got
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: some good stuff coming up, so you can definitely bounce
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: over there and check it out if you like talking
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: comics and nerdy stuff. We do a ton of reviews.
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: We watch everything. So I think our next episode is
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: going to be a breakdown of the Star Wars new
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: animated series Tales of the Jedi. Now is that Tales
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: of the Jedi? Is it gonna We'll get into it later.
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: But anyway, you said you interviewed the director of the show.
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: Did you tell her that it wasn't true of the
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: open the interview by saying this isn't my favorite. Yeah,
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: you know, I did bring up like I was like,
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: you know, I didn't understand this or you know why
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: this choice? You know, we're more asking. But we also
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: did review the show and I talked about you know
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: what I didn't didn't like, and I did for a
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: pop culture Happy Hour over on MPR, and I think
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: for me that show was like it had a lot
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: of lofty goals and it's really hard to do a
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: nonlinear sitcom in a series like the whole entire universe
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: is built on like what happens next and who's coming next,
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: and so a show that's like not at all interested
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: in that stuff, it's a challenge to blend that into
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: the rest of the Marvel Cinematic universe. I think a
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: season two, which Jessica is not sure she wants to
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: do at this point. She was like, I'm tired. She's like,
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: I've just had a baby. Basically, well, and that show
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: did not was I mean it was. As a Marvel fan,
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: I'm I'm for all of it, but there are a
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: lot of people out there that hated that show. You
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: didn't watch did you watch all the thing I watched?
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: I watched every Donald So Donald's so loyal he'll even
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: watched even watched every episode when he doesn't love it.
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: I love it all and I hate it all, you
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: know what I mean? Like, I'm I'm in it. I'm yeah,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: I'm in it to when it no matter what it is,
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: you been Daniel, Now, okay, Duels had her turn. Daniel,
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: what have you been up to? Hell's life? Oh it's
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: all good. Um, last couple of streams, I was doing
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: a charity stream for an awesome organization called Gamer's Outreach,
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: and that one really well. Um and uh, other than that,
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: I've just been planning an engagement party that we're having
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: this weekend. That's the other big news. Amazing, that's it. Daniel, Halloween,
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: are you dressing up for you? Yes? A, yes, indeed
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: it is. You know what this is coming out after
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: the want to reveal we are dressing up as the
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: cover of a romance novel. So I'm doing I'm doing
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: a fabio look. Stephanie is doing the damsel in distress.
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: But we're also creating a book cover that we're holding
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: in front of us, where it's us riding off into
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: the sunset on a horse. And um, the title of
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: the book is Love Unhinged, because yeah, that's such a
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: that's such a great idea for a costume. Thank you.
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: By our two, you're gonna want to ditch that hole.
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: Oh yeah, we're gonna we're gonna take a couple pictures
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: that we're gonna put out. Good to see you. Yeah.
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: One of the biggest mistakes I ever made was dressing
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: up as a gorilla for Halloween. Man, I thought, I thought,
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: this is the simplest costume ever by our It was
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: it's cold outside and I'm sweating like a freaking banshee
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: inside of a freaking gorilla suit. Yeah you are you?
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: Are you dressing up all No? No, no, I'm just
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: gonna Are you gonna go to any parties? Do you
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: want to go to some Halloween parties with me? So
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: this comes out after Halloween, so I could tell you
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: what I dressed up as. I dressed up as myself.
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: I dressed up as Murray from Clueless. And my daughter,
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: my daughter is dressing up as Dion and my dressing
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: up as Share That's amazing. And we tried to get
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: my son to do I was like, Rocco, why don't
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: you dress up as me? And I'll dress up as
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: somebody else from the movie. And he goes, no, I
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: want to be Allen Iverson. So Rocco's dressing up as
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: Alan Iverson while we dress up as a as a
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: cast of Clue. That's very cute. Are you gonna take
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: a picture and post it so I can let her?
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: I'm sure, I'm sure. Yeah, I'm sure she has it
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: under control. But is Casey's gonna wear the yellow plaid outfit?
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: I think so, and I'm hoping and I'm hoping that uh,
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: that night, she and I get to role play where
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: Murray ye Share Yeah, Murray and Share decided yes can you?
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: Can you posture? Are you willing to post picture? I
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: don't think I'm allowed to postpone last case that Okay
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: Alaska though, zach Alaska though, because you know what she does?
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: Love me all right? We love you guys five six,
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: seven Stories about show we made about a bunch of
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: doctor nurses and the Canada who loved me. I said,
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: he's the stories never should know. So gada around you.
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: Here are gada around you, Here are set free watch
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: shows that no mm hmmm
