- 3:41Craft criticizes Mayor Michelle Wu on multiple
- 3:45fronts. with a preliminary election approaching
- 3:48on September 9th. Praft claims his administration
- 3:52is delaying hearings on critical issues to sidestep
- 3:55controversy before the election, a sentiment
- 3:58echoed by city councilors Aaron Murphy and Ed
- 4:01Flynn. He highlighted a stalled resolution aimed
- 4:05at declaring a public health emergency at Mass
- 4:08Ave and Melnaya Cass Boulevard, which he described
- 4:12as a place where proposals go to die. Wu's team
- 4:16attributed the delays to scheduling conflicts,
- 4:19while both candidates continue to battle over
- 4:21homelessness, substance abuse, and other pressing
- 4:24matters. As early voting begins this Saturday,
- 4:29Kraft Hope's increased public attention will
- 4:31shift the race dynamics ahead of the general
- 4:34election on November 4th. Now onto sports. Less
- 4:44than 24 hours after handing Alabama its first
- 4:47loss in a season opener since 2001, Florida State

- 4:58selling eight shirts and sweatshirts, taunting
- 5:00the number eight Crimson Tide over its 31 -17
- 5:05loss to the Seminoles. Some merchandise features
- 5:08the line, Nick can't save them. referencing his

- 6:37U .S. Ski and Snowboard is attempting to take
- 6:40control, but many surfers are resisting this
- 6:43move. Sophie Goldschmidt, the head of U .S. Ski
- 6:47and Snowboard, believes surfing aligns with their
- 6:50mission to support elite athletes. However, former
- 6:54champion surfer Ian Karens argues they are trying
- 6:57to ski -jack surfing from its rightful community.
- 7:01USA Surfing, the current governing body, is fighting
- 7:04back, citing recent investments and support from
- 7:07local leaders. The U .S. Olympic and Paralympic
- 7:11Committee will ultimately decide which organization
- 7:14will represent Olympic surfers. In business news,
- 7:21Kraft Heinz is approaching a significant breakup
- 7:24plan, according to sources familiar with the
- 7:26matter. This decision would effectively reverse
- 7:30much of the work from the notorious merger of
- 7:33Kraft and Heinz in 2015, orchestrated by Warren
- 7:37Buffett and Brazilian private equity firm 3G
- 7:41Capital Partners. A transaction could be announced
- 7:44as early as next week, but plans are subject
- 7:47to change. The Wall Street Journal reported that
- 7:50Kraft plans to spin off a substantial portion
- 7:53of its grocery business, potentially valued at
- 7:56as much as $20 billion. The split would occur
- 8:00amid a trend of corporate breakups in the food

- 9:12Let's talk tech. The digital tokens backing the
- 9:16Trump family's cryptocurrency venture, World
- 9:19Liberty Financial, fell in value on Monday in
- 9:22their first day of trading. Known as World Liberty
- 9:25tokens, they were sold to investors after the
- 9:28Trump family launched the venture last year.
- 9:32Investors voted in July to make them tradable,
- 9:35allowing for potential sales and purchases. Initially,
- 9:39the tokens traded above $0, but later fell by
- 9:43about 12%, bringing their market capitalization
- 9:46to just below $7 billion. Major exchanges, including
- 9:51Binance and OKEx, are offering the tokens. Critics
- 9:56argue that Trump family's involvement represents
- 9:59profound conflicts of interest. And in entertainment
- 10:06news, Alan Richson, known for Reacher, is making
- 10:10waves with his super unique film Motor City,
- 10:13which premieres in Venice on August 30th. This
- 10:17action thriller is almost entirely dialogue -free,
- 10:21allowing for an intense focus on physical performances
- 10:24and stylized visuals. Richdon portrays a blue
- 10:29-collar character seeking revenge after losing
- 10:32his fience and freedom. He emphasizes the challenge
- 10:36and exhilaration of acting without dialogue,
- 10:39relying on internal emotions to convey his character's
- 10:43turmoil. Additionally, he produced the film aiming
- 10:46to elevate action cinema with a visceral experience.
- 10:51While rumors swirl about Batman, Richson remains
- 10:54open to future projects with DC. Well, alrighty
- 10:59folks, it's time for the quote of the day. And
- 11:03today, our quote comes from the American novelist
- 11:06and short story writer Ray Bradbury. And he said,
- 11:11We are an impossibility in an impossible universe,
- 11:15highlighting the power of creativity and storytelling
- 11:18to transcend boundaries and inspire progress.
