- 0:27Speaker 1: ryan and we got robbie here gonna tell us all
- 0:30Speaker 1: about the experience that's in folkestone now uh which is
- 0:33Speaker 1: techers if you uh Looked on the Facebook page yesterday
- 0:36Speaker 1: and today. There was a little video on there. You
- 0:39Speaker 1: would have seen that and had a look and see
- 0:42Speaker 1: what they're all about. We'll be talking to Robbie, Ryan
- 0:45Speaker 1: and Mo very, very shortly. What else have we got
- 0:47Speaker 1: coming up in the show? A little bit about folks
- 0:50Speaker 1: in Invicta's great triumph over the old enemy on Tuesday
- 0:53Speaker 1: evening when we beat Dover Athletic three goals to one.
- 0:57Speaker 1: If there's time, I'll talk to you about the new
- 1:00Speaker 1: NFL games over the last weekend, which were Quite exciting,
- 1:05Speaker 1: to be honest, if you're an NFL fan. No, as
- 1:09Speaker 1: I say, no Kev this morning, so there's no local
- 1:14Speaker 1: updates or anything like that, I'm afraid, today. But we've
- 1:17Speaker 1: got the Techers boys in this morning, so hopefully we'll
- 1:21Speaker 1: have a good old chat with them and give you
- 1:23Speaker 1: a bit of insight into what's happening with the newest
- 1:26Speaker 1: experience in Folkestone. OK, last night at the Leescliff Hall,
- 1:31Speaker 1: the Beat were in town. probably a lot of you
- 1:36Speaker 1: remember them, but if you're my sort of age of
- 1:38Speaker 1: between 50 and 60, Dave Wakelin's beat come all the
- 1:43Speaker 1: way over from America. And this is one of the
- 1:48Speaker 1: tracks that they played last night. This is Can't Get
- 1:50Speaker 1: Used to Losing You. Can't Get Used to Losing You
- 2:09Speaker 1: there you go the beat can't get used to losing.
- 2:17Speaker 2: You classic first done by Andy Williams back in the 60s.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Blimey Anyway, that was the beat. That was from 1980
- 2:41Speaker 1: and that was Can't Get Used To Losing You. As
- 2:42Speaker 1: I said, just before that one, we've got the Techers
- 2:45Speaker 1: boys in. I'm going to speak to Robbie first. Good morning, Robbie.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Good morning.
- 2:49Speaker 1: How are you?
- 2:49Speaker 2: I'm good, thank you.
- 2:51Speaker 1: You're good, okay. And I believe the Techers come about
- 2:54Speaker 1: all because of an idea by yourself. Is that correct?
- 2:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Tell us a bit more about it.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Well, a couple of years ago, I had this birthday
- 3:01Speaker 2: party where I went in Bluewater and it was borderless
- 3:05Speaker 2: here and I enjoyed it, but I thought, Maybe if
- 3:08Speaker 2: I was a bit younger, I'd enjoy it more. And
- 3:10Speaker 2: Folkestone is lacking this sort of idea and play experience.
- 3:15Speaker 2: So a couple of years later, I made the idea
- 3:19Speaker 2: up and then showed it to my dad. And we
- 3:22Speaker 2: both agreed it was a good idea. Then, fortunately, there's
- 3:26Speaker 2: a place that came around and we're here now.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Because of it.
- 3:31Speaker 1: The venue yeah yeah yeah okay um you said you
- 3:34Speaker 1: went to a party was it the same sort of
- 3:36Speaker 1: thing that you have now in folkestone or is it
- 3:38Speaker 1: was it slightly different to the experience you had on
- 3:42Speaker 1: your birthday yeah.
- 3:43Speaker 2: It's like quite similar to our you know business.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Okay so you you had the idea and it is
- 3:51Speaker 1: and uh obviously your dad thought that's not a bad idea.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Yeah that's essentially what happened.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Yeah well i mean you said that uh it lacked
- 4:01Speaker 1: Folkestone lacks that sort of thing. I mean, for a
- 4:04Speaker 1: youngster growing up in Folkestone, there isn't a great deal
- 4:07Speaker 1: for you lot to do, is there really? I mean, back,
- 4:09Speaker 1: back in my day, we used to have lots of different,
- 4:11Speaker 1: we used to have to make our own entertainment most
- 4:13Speaker 1: of the time, but, uh, we used to have the
- 4:15Speaker 1: rotunda and we used to have the, you know, things
- 4:17Speaker 1: like that, but, um, and the sports center, we haven't
- 4:19Speaker 1: even got a sports center. I mean, I know they
- 4:21Speaker 1: are trying to bring the sports center back, uh, but, uh,
- 4:24Speaker 1: experiences like yourselves, uh, the tech, the techers experience, um,
- 4:28Speaker 1: it you know it can only be a good thing
- 4:30Speaker 1: for folkestone um how many how long ago was this
- 4:35Speaker 1: you had the idea like a year ago okay so
- 4:38Speaker 1: it's been a year in the making with that uh yeah.
- 4:41Speaker 2: We're just like brainstorming it and.
- 4:43Speaker 1: You know okay so a lot of the things are
- 4:47Speaker 1: there was there any new ideas that you had that
- 4:51Speaker 1: you didn't have at the party that you went to.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Yeah we added like a bit more ideas like of
- 4:56Speaker 2: pool table it was another party we just made it together.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Yeah i saw that is this pool table it's like
- 5:02Speaker 1: um it was about 10 12 foot long yeah and
- 5:05Speaker 1: uh you don't use cues you use your feet don't
- 5:08Speaker 1: you yeah big footballs i did see that i'm thinking
- 5:11Speaker 1: i might have to have a go at that that
- 5:13Speaker 1: looks that looks quite good.
- 5:14Speaker 2: It's quite hard but it's fun at the same time.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Yeah i do use use like two footballs one to
- 5:19Speaker 1: like you were doing snooze or pool and you you
- 5:22Speaker 1: kick the ball and you try to have to kick
- 5:23Speaker 1: that one into the yeah into the pocket that does
- 5:26Speaker 1: look good uh tell us a little bit more about
- 5:29Speaker 1: the um other experiences you have when you you know
- 5:32Speaker 1: during the uh during the event whoops sorry but smashing
- 5:38Speaker 1: the studio up um you know like uh you we
- 5:40Speaker 1: say like the pool table what else do you have there.
- 5:42Speaker 2: We have this um the gaming area where kids could
- 5:45Speaker 2: play fifa and other games and then we also have
- 5:47Speaker 2: a foosball table where they could play table football alongside
- 5:51Speaker 2: that our main attraction is the projector where you could
- 5:54Speaker 2: play many sort of games like kicking the asteroids blowing
- 5:58Speaker 2: bubbles and box break okay and then also we have
- 6:03Speaker 2: a football pitch that's like at the end of the
- 6:05Speaker 2: party they have like a five-a-side.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Match okay it's not an actual game though is it
- 6:11Speaker 1: you or do you have to play a game it's an.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Experience like every football games collection mixed into like one experience.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Okay Yeah, I saw the pictures where you got like
- 6:26Speaker 1: a crossbar challenge, I remember seeing.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's part of the match experience as well.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Okay, cool. And also, thanks for that, Rob, we'll come
- 6:36Speaker 1: back to you in a minute. We have the manager there,
- 6:38Speaker 1: which is Ryan. Good morning, Ryan.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Good morning.
- 6:41Speaker 1: And you're overseeing the venture.
- 6:44Speaker 4: I am indeed, yes.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Tell us a bit about how you become involved.
- 6:50Speaker 4: So I've known Robbie's dad for a couple of years now.
- 6:54Speaker 4: We've done business together in the past and just sort
- 6:58Speaker 4: of our friendships blossomed as time's gone on.
- 7:01Speaker 3: And that's basically it really.
- 7:03Speaker 4: And he's asked me to come on and help the
- 7:06Speaker 4: guys just to do like all the behind the scenes stuff.
- 7:09Speaker 4: So like the health and safety and, you know, because
- 7:13Speaker 4: I have like a school's background.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Okay. Yeah.
- 7:17Speaker 4: And I do have a, like a sports coaching background
- 7:19Speaker 4: as well. So I used to be a tennis coach.
- 7:21Speaker 4: I'm a qualified football coach as well.
- 7:23Speaker 1: So you know your stuff.
- 7:25Speaker 3: I'd like to think so.
- 7:28Speaker 1: So how did you hear about the idea from Mo?
- 7:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:33Speaker 4: Robbie's dad is very persuasive.
- 7:35Speaker 3: Let's put it that way.
- 7:37Speaker 4: He's very, very passionate about obviously helping his son out.
- 7:41Speaker 4: And it, yeah it's just great to hear and he
- 7:44Speaker 4: sold me within the first few minutes of talking about
- 7:46Speaker 4: it so.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Yeah i mean i i was i've seen the the
- 7:50Speaker 1: development from the um in the actual arena would you
- 7:56Speaker 1: call it arena raw.
- 7:57Speaker 4: Yeah i i guess so yeah yeah.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Yeah or you know the the whole thing i mean
- 8:03Speaker 1: i've seen it from the bear um you know nothing
- 8:07Speaker 1: in that particular area to you know the little stages
- 8:10Speaker 1: going on where bits and pieces have all been made. Um,
- 8:13Speaker 1: and to see the finished product now, it's, it's quite remarkable.
- 8:17Speaker 1: It looks, it looks, does look excellent. It looks really good. And, um,
- 8:22Speaker 1: you know, I don't know. We'll talk about the, what's
- 8:25Speaker 1: the name of that? Trying to book and what, you know,
- 8:27Speaker 1: your bits and pieces in it. Um, uh, and it's,
- 8:35Speaker 1: this is for, um, Groups are booked, isn't it? It's
- 8:39Speaker 1: not just a one-off where one person could just come
- 8:41Speaker 1: up and do this. You need to be in a group.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 8:45Speaker 4: So it's not like a pay-and-play where you can just
- 8:46Speaker 4: turn up just because sometimes of the logistics of where
- 8:50Speaker 4: we're located because we're above the Petticoat Lane Emporium. So
- 8:56Speaker 4: obviously getting to it is okay, but we have to
- 9:01Speaker 4: obviously show people through, which is, you know, that's fine. So, yeah. Sorry.
- 9:12Speaker 1: No, no, no, that's fine. Sometimes, you know, when you
- 9:15Speaker 1: put a microphone in front of somebody, they've got all
- 9:17Speaker 1: these ideas in their head. And then when we come
- 9:20Speaker 1: to do it, you go, oh. So I think what
- 9:22Speaker 1: we'll do, we'll stick another song on. And we might
- 9:25Speaker 1: bring Mo in as well in a few moments. He's
- 9:29Speaker 1: the financial banking behind it all, I do believe. Anyway,
- 9:32Speaker 1: we'll play this one. This is The Colour Field from 1985.
- 9:35Speaker 1: And this is Thinking of You.
- 9:39Speaker 3: Thinking of you.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Thinking of you.
- 9:42Speaker 4: There you go.
- 9:43Speaker 2: The Lake Terry Hall and The Colour Field.
- 9:55Speaker 1: There you go, the Lake Terry Hall and the colour-filled
- 10:00Speaker 1: Thinking of You from 1985. Blimey, I remember going to
- 10:05Speaker 1: see them at the Hammersmith Palais. What a night that was.
- 10:08Speaker 1: We've got Mo now in the hot seat from Techers.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Good morning, Mo. How are you doing?
- 10:12Speaker 3: Very well, thank you for having us. Good morning to everybody.
- 10:15Speaker 1: He's kind of all shy there now. I've heard that
- 10:19Speaker 1: Mo can talk for Britain, is that correct? and Europe and.
- 10:22Speaker 3: The other countries it was me.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Well we've heard from Ryan we've heard a little bit
- 10:29Speaker 1: from Robbie about Robbie's thoughts about you know he went
- 10:33Speaker 1: to a party and he's come back with this idea
- 10:37Speaker 1: take it from there yeah on your perspective.
- 10:39Speaker 3: He we went to a birthday party as he explained
- 10:42Speaker 3: a few years ago for his birthday and we all
- 10:44Speaker 3: had a great time and when he when he come
- 10:46Speaker 3: back He was kind of like, oh, Dad, that'd be
- 10:49Speaker 3: brilliant if we could do something like this, more local,
- 10:51Speaker 3: and this, that, and other than myself, my nephews who went,
- 10:55Speaker 3: and my cousins in like a WhatsApp group started brainstorming
- 10:58Speaker 3: some ideas with Robbie at the lead. Then he kind
- 11:00Speaker 3: of like disappeared for a little bit. Then he come
- 11:03Speaker 3: back to us, and then in, you know, the market
- 11:06Speaker 3: where we were both at?
- 11:08Speaker 1: At the import room, yeah.
- 11:08Speaker 3: We were there one day and just found a space upstairs,
- 11:12Speaker 3: and Robbie goes, Dad, this would be a great place
- 11:14Speaker 3: to do that football idea. So I looked to him
- 11:17Speaker 3: and talked to him and said, look, you go away.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Your other ideas go. Come with a plan.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Ideas are great, but we need a plan. And then
- 11:23Speaker 3: he come back to me a few weeks later with
- 11:25Speaker 3: a dossier and a plan. I showed my wife and
- 11:28Speaker 3: I was like, how can I say no to this kid? Oh, bless.
- 11:31Speaker 3: I just looked at it. Yeah, let's see if it's feasible.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Let's see if we can do it. So he's obviously
- 11:36Speaker 3: the main guy. Myself and my dad obviously have helped
- 11:39Speaker 3: him financially. And we've just done it. We're here now.
- 11:41Speaker 3: So we're really proud of him and the idea. We
- 11:44Speaker 3: just got now.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Promote the idea.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Yeah, promote the idea.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Yeah, that would be great. As I say, I was
- 11:50Speaker 1: there from the beginning when I saw it being built,
- 11:53Speaker 1: and I'm thinking, you know, what the hell's this going
- 11:55Speaker 1: to be? And, you know, you've got, like, all the
- 11:59Speaker 1: changing rooms where you sit down, and you've got, like,
- 12:01Speaker 1: the shirts up, and you've got a trophy, you've got, like,
- 12:04Speaker 1: the fans on the walls and everything. It looks really,
- 12:07Speaker 1: really good. I mean, you've done a good, you know,
- 12:11Speaker 1: visually done a really good job. Now you've got to
- 12:12Speaker 1: promote the.
- 12:15Speaker 1: The idea really now.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Yeah, the business.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I think like when obviously you spoke to someone
- 12:18Speaker 3: like yourself and other people and then we had just
- 12:22Speaker 3: like AI images to show the vision of what we're
- 12:25Speaker 3: trying to do. When I speak to somebody or showing
- 12:28Speaker 3: somebody or getting people in to do work, you know,
- 12:30Speaker 3: Robbie was there and I was there. People just look
- 12:32Speaker 3: at me and Robbie like... This is what you lot
- 12:34Speaker 3: guys are thinking. They couldn't see it visually.
- 12:36Speaker 1: No.
- 12:37Speaker 3: And then luckily, a good friend of mine, I'm going
- 12:39Speaker 3: to shout him out, and you know him very well, Danny,
- 12:41Speaker 3: Danny Foss, come involved. Me and Danny being friends with
- 12:45Speaker 3: kids that were such football fans. So for us, it
- 12:48Speaker 3: was like being kids and making this like a little
- 12:51Speaker 3: dream and a part we were doing. So we'd done
- 12:53Speaker 3: it between ourselves and the vision we had as well.
- 12:56Speaker 3: We were able to do this, that, et cetera. Robbie
- 12:58Speaker 3: had a few ideas, and obviously sometimes ideas aren't feasible
- 13:01Speaker 3: and they might not work practically.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I get that.
- 13:03Speaker 3: Danny was there to go, look, he's got the building experience,
- 13:06Speaker 3: we do this, and we were governed by the space
- 13:08Speaker 3: as well. Of course. So obviously, to explain Techers completely,
- 13:11Speaker 3: it's an indoor football gaming centre for children. So we
- 13:16Speaker 3: want to have a football pitch and we want to
- 13:17Speaker 3: have activities as well. So we want to make it
- 13:19Speaker 3: all nice, safe, main thing as well for the kids
- 13:23Speaker 3: to come. So with the space we had, between myself,
- 13:26Speaker 3: Danny and Robbie, were able to now use the space.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Yeah. I saw it, as I say, when Danny was there.
- 13:34Speaker 1: And he said, oh, we're doing... Because I think I
- 13:36Speaker 1: turned up one day, I had a football shirt on.
- 13:38Speaker 1: He said, oh, you like football? And then we got talking.
- 13:40Speaker 1: And he said, oh, we're doing this. And he showed
- 13:42Speaker 1: me the room. And I'm thinking, well, this is a
- 13:45Speaker 1: blank space. How are you going to do anything in here?
- 13:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:48Speaker 1: And it's hard for me to visualise what he was
- 13:51Speaker 1: going to do.
- 13:52Speaker 3: I just have a lot of people, even myself. And,
- 13:53Speaker 3: you know... You know, until Danny come along and, you know,
- 13:56Speaker 3: show that you've got this stuff, you've got this stuff here, etc. Oh,
- 14:00Speaker 3: something's happening. It's my phone. Is that?
- 14:02Speaker 1: Get rid of it. Prospected spam, so go away.
- 14:05Speaker 3: I thought Halloween come early for a second. Got scared there.
- 14:08Speaker 3: And then, yeah, like I said, with Danny's experience in
- 14:12Speaker 3: the building trade, he was able to say, look. It's
- 14:14Speaker 3: all great having a space, but how do you make
- 14:16Speaker 3: the space work? We had to do soundproofing, a lot
- 14:20Speaker 3: of safety stuff as well for the children and stuff
- 14:22Speaker 3: like that.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, obviously, you have the idea and you've
- 14:24Speaker 1: got to make it all safe and everything.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Yeah, of course. So we've done that as well. We've
- 14:28Speaker 3: gone the route of not skipping corners, not cunning corners.
- 14:32Speaker 1: I get that, yeah.
- 14:35Speaker 3: A lot on the safety element because obviously if people
- 14:38Speaker 3: are coming and the children come in, We want everyone
- 14:40Speaker 3: to not just have fun, but mainly feel that this
- 14:42Speaker 3: is a safe space for them in every way, yeah?
- 14:45Speaker 3: Like safeguarding, et cetera. Of course. But leading on to that,
- 14:48Speaker 3: maybe in the next few weeks, we're just not real...
- 14:52Speaker 3: social media savvy people we're getting there we've got a
- 14:56Speaker 3: team like Ryan and ourselves and a few people helping
- 14:58Speaker 3: us but there will be a video soon coming of
- 15:01Speaker 3: the journey from the beginning so if people see the
- 15:02Speaker 3: space like me and you've seen it and they see
- 15:05Speaker 3: what the space was they'll see a video soon for
- 15:07Speaker 3: the journey from the beginning to how we've made and
- 15:09Speaker 3: I think I'm not just saying this but a lot
- 15:10Speaker 3: of people come up the work we've done in there
- 15:12Speaker 3: and the final finish is like.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Really it's a fantastic finish I'll give you that it
- 15:20Speaker 1: does look you know brilliant everything that you've done is
- 15:24Speaker 1: professionally done.
- 15:25Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 15:26Speaker 1: It's to a very high standard. The thing I like
- 15:29Speaker 1: most of all, out of everything that you've done, I
- 15:32Speaker 1: like the way you've got the fans all the way
- 15:34Speaker 1: around the picture.
- 15:35Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 15:35Speaker 1: I think that looks really, really good.
- 15:37Speaker 4: It does.
- 15:37Speaker 3: It comes off really well. It comes off really well.
- 15:39Speaker 3: And then another shout-out to Sanger Printers, who were the
- 15:44Speaker 3: guys who got us all the fans and the pictures
- 15:49Speaker 3: and stuff like that. When I was going, I shouted
- 15:51Speaker 3: out personally to the individual, Sean at Sanger Printers, when
- 15:54Speaker 3: I was going to him with this stuff, because I've
- 15:56Speaker 3: got an account there of another business, he was looking
- 15:59Speaker 3: at me like, really?
- 16:00Speaker 1: Are you mad?
- 16:01Speaker 3: How do you do this? How do you do that?
- 16:03Speaker 3: You know, like, you know, you can use AI in
- 16:06Speaker 3: this generation to make this, to make that, but it's
- 16:08Speaker 3: got a bit about the quality.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Yeah, of course.
- 16:10Speaker 3: And then it was like, I can't even think of
- 16:12Speaker 3: the word, but 300 DCI or the picture. Otherwise you
- 16:16Speaker 3: print something, it will just fade and the quality won't
- 16:18Speaker 3: be there. So he had to really re-change and do it.
- 16:21Speaker 3: And he done a lot of stuff above and beyond
- 16:23Speaker 3: for me when I was just texting him constantly or
- 16:26Speaker 3: coming around constantly. And he was like, his favorite word
- 16:29Speaker 3: to me was, no, I can't do that. I can't
- 16:31Speaker 3: do that I always tell him something I say that
- 16:33Speaker 3: he's shaking his head but honestly the stuff he's done
- 16:36Speaker 3: and the whole team the finish is amazing we were
- 16:40Speaker 3: so made up for what they've done.
- 16:42Speaker 1: For us okay that you know that's nice to hear
- 16:45Speaker 1: that they've sort of they could say no we can't
- 16:48Speaker 1: do that and then that would be the end of
- 16:49Speaker 1: it yeah.
- 16:49Speaker 3: I don't think I don't think it was no it
- 16:51Speaker 3: was kind of like I've got a million other things
- 16:52Speaker 3: to do that's what it was you know I've got
- 16:55Speaker 3: him on today actually he's doing something today and then
- 16:58Speaker 3: he's got he's finished at 11 I didn't know the
- 17:00Speaker 3: show was going to go on to be on 11
- 17:02Speaker 3: so he's kindly just going to wait for me for
- 17:05Speaker 3: me to pick up some posters some leaflets there on
- 17:08Speaker 3: today lovely people I highly recommend Sanger that's a plug
- 17:11Speaker 3: for them as.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Well why not local as well yeah I'm going to
- 17:16Speaker 1: stick another tune on And then you can tell us
- 17:18Speaker 1: about what we'd expect when we have the experience. Yeah, yeah, cool. Well,
- 17:25Speaker 1: on Wednesday evening, as you know, I've not been too
- 17:29Speaker 1: well last week or so. Yeah, man flu, as the
- 17:32Speaker 1: wife would say. But I actually managed to get me
- 17:36Speaker 1: out of bed and I went along to the Dover
- 17:38Speaker 1: Booking Hall on Wednesday evening. And one of my favourite
- 17:42Speaker 1: bands from when I was growing up, was a band
- 17:45Speaker 1: called The Skids from Dunfermline in Scotland. And they had
- 17:50Speaker 1: a few minor hits. And I'm going to play you
- 17:52Speaker 1: one of them. And this one is called... I believe
- 17:56Speaker 1: it's called Masquerade. There you go, Richard Jobson and the
- 18:27Speaker 1: late Stuart Adamson of the skids. And that was called
- 18:30Speaker 1: Masquerade from 1978. Blimey. How old were you in 78, Mo?
- 18:35Speaker 1: I was unborn.
- 18:36Speaker 3: There you go.
- 18:36Speaker 1: I thought you knew who was going to say that.
- 18:39Speaker 1: How old was I?
- 18:39Speaker 4: 13.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Oh, God. God, I feel old now.
- 18:46Speaker 3: Don't look at my man.
- 18:48Speaker 1: That's my boyish good looks. That fountain of youth is
- 18:52Speaker 1: called the English Channel. I've been in there for ages.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Would you want to swim in the English Channel?
- 19:00Speaker 3: Not on a day like this.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Not on a day in the summer, to be honest.
- 19:04Speaker 1: I think the last time I swam in the English
- 19:06Speaker 1: Channel was in the harbour and there was lots of
- 19:08Speaker 1: things swimming around me that shouldn't have been there. I've
- 19:12Speaker 1: said no more for that one. Anyway, we've got Ryan
- 19:16Speaker 1: and Mo here. Okay, gentlemen, the experience. Tell us what
- 19:24Speaker 1: the paying public would expect to find on one of
- 19:28Speaker 1: your techers' experience.
- 19:29Speaker 3: Okay, so I'll start from the beginning. We are located
- 19:33Speaker 3: in Petticoat Market Lane in town, where the Old Wilkinson is.
- 19:38Speaker 3: We're on the second floor. When you arrive, say you've
- 19:43Speaker 3: got a booking, for example, at 1 o'clock, one of
- 19:45Speaker 3: our member staffs will be at the reception, will take
- 19:47Speaker 3: you to a designated reception area. introduce you, then we
- 19:51Speaker 3: start the party. So what the parties are, we have
- 19:55Speaker 3: three designated birthday parties or celebration parties or football team gathering,
- 20:02Speaker 3: or just a party in general. One is a Premier League,
- 20:05Speaker 3: which you get an hour for 10 kids. Another package
- 20:09Speaker 3: is an hour and a half. It's Champions League for
- 20:11Speaker 3: 12 children. And then we have a final package, World Cup,
- 20:15Speaker 3: which is minimum eight children. And you get to have
- 20:18Speaker 3: hot and cold food options as well, which is brilliant.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Where you can have a table on the football pitch.
- 20:25Speaker 3: So you can imagine the scenery. The kids are sitting
- 20:27Speaker 3: there with the food set up on the football pitch
- 20:31Speaker 3: with the tables. It's brilliant to see.
- 20:32Speaker 1: We get some images.
- 20:34Speaker 3: On our social soon. And then we have two other parties.
- 20:37Speaker 3: One is a bespoke one, which is Ballon d'Or. You
- 20:39Speaker 3: can have an hour, two hours, whatever you want, how
- 20:43Speaker 3: many children you need. We just do that. You just
- 20:45Speaker 3: email us direct. And the last party, which we've introduced
- 20:48Speaker 3: for half term, is just a taster session. It's an
- 20:52Speaker 3: FA Cup session for 45 minutes. You can have four
- 20:56Speaker 3: to six children. They can do free play, any game,
- 21:01Speaker 3: We've got going on with set up from that's a
- 21:03Speaker 3: for 45 minutes and it's a for 50 pounder We're
- 21:05Speaker 3: running that now through half-term. It's become really popular this week.
- 21:09Speaker 3: We've got quite a lot already good We've got a
- 21:11Speaker 3: few today after we leave here. And so we're thinking
- 21:14Speaker 3: after half-term when we go back to normal We'll do
- 21:17Speaker 3: those sessions like on a on a Saturday on a
- 21:20Speaker 3: Sunday like early. That's really the parties we've got but
- 21:23Speaker 3: the main thing we're trying to do obviously we want
- 21:25Speaker 3: people to come in it's a business and But we've
- 21:28Speaker 3: got all these local companies helping us and sponsoring us
- 21:32Speaker 3: and partnership. I can't name everybody because I'm going to
- 21:35Speaker 3: miss so many, but there are a lot. We've decided,
- 21:38Speaker 3: myself and Robbie, we're folks in residence and I've been
- 21:41Speaker 3: brought up here, went to school here. We really, with
- 21:45Speaker 3: our sponsor, want to give back to the community. So
- 21:47Speaker 3: between Monday and Thursday, in school terms, we're giving free
- 21:52Speaker 3: sessions to primary schools, children's charities, children's organisations. So if
- 21:57Speaker 3: there's any organisations or teachers or anybody involved with schools
- 22:02Speaker 3: and associations, just reach out to us at infotechersuk.com. Drop
- 22:09Speaker 3: us an email and then we'll arrange to give your
- 22:12Speaker 3: school a free session, completely free from ourselves and our sponsors.
- 22:16Speaker 3: That's our main thing. We want to give back to
- 22:18Speaker 3: our local community because a lot of children out there
- 22:22Speaker 3: want to do this and it could be for so
- 22:24Speaker 3: many reasons. You know, unfortunately, the climate we're in, it
- 22:27Speaker 3: can be financially. Also, a lot of children, you know,
- 22:31Speaker 3: they've got friends, but they haven't got a massive group
- 22:32Speaker 3: of friends. And sometimes, unfortunately, they haven't got as many
- 22:38Speaker 3: friends to come to parties. But they've got classmates. So
- 22:42Speaker 3: one child could have like 10, 15, 20 classmates. Might
- 22:45Speaker 3: not have 10, 15 friends, but they could have some classmates.
- 22:49Speaker 3: So if they do want to come. and they won't
- 22:51Speaker 3: have the opportunity, and it's not accessible, we'll give that
- 22:53Speaker 3: for free. But we need the schools, the teachers, whoever,
- 22:57Speaker 3: to come.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Reach out to us. Yeah, so you need them to
- 22:59Speaker 1: get in contact with you.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Yeah, we are now. Ryan, let Ryan jump in. I
- 23:03Speaker 3: think I've talked enough, but we had a very positive
- 23:05Speaker 3: meeting the other day with a few schools, because we're
- 23:07Speaker 3: going to set it up after half term, and we're
- 23:10Speaker 3: actioning it ourselves. But, you know, from this platform, where
- 23:14Speaker 3: you've given us to speak to people, people will want
- 23:17Speaker 3: to email us or contact us. We're more than happy. Like,
- 23:19Speaker 3: let Ryan.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, Ryan, obviously you're the one that's overseeing
- 23:25Speaker 1: these events. So when they get in contact with you,
- 23:32Speaker 1: you'll obviously be able to explain everything to them. You're
- 23:38Speaker 1: the manager there, I take it.
- 23:39Speaker 3: You're overseeing.
- 23:41Speaker 1: And Mo's, you're in the background, Mo, or do you
- 23:44Speaker 1: attend events as well?
- 23:46Speaker 3: Just like radio, I'm the face. That's the best place
- 23:48Speaker 3: for me to be. I've got the face for radio, so.
- 23:52Speaker 1: I'll say it in the background. Yeah, I always say that.
- 23:54Speaker 1: I've got the face for radio. So, yeah, I mean, obviously,
- 23:57Speaker 1: this is what we, you know, you're primarily here for
- 24:01Speaker 1: this morning to promote your business. And, you know, you
- 24:04Speaker 1: say you can give back to the community, which is fantastic.
- 24:08Speaker 1: I mean, this is, you know, a facility that's not
- 24:12Speaker 1: happening in Folkestone, you know, before. I mean, people, if
- 24:16Speaker 1: they wanted to play football, it's normally you used to
- 24:18Speaker 1: have to... book the five-a-side pitch. Now it's at Three Hills. But,
- 24:24Speaker 1: you know, you need, like you were saying, you need
- 24:27Speaker 1: at least probably ten people to have a decent game.
- 24:29Speaker 1: But for you, you know, you say a minimum of
- 24:32Speaker 1: four or five and you can go away and have
- 24:36Speaker 1: a good time.
- 24:37Speaker 3: So basically these FA Cup packages we've started for four
- 24:40Speaker 3: to six children become so popular at the moment, especially
- 24:43Speaker 3: for people just to see a taster. So obviously we've
- 24:46Speaker 3: put images up and people have heard of us. We're
- 24:48Speaker 3: here now. But if you want to just see what
- 24:50Speaker 3: it is, you can come for these small packages. Just
- 24:52Speaker 3: try anything. You know what? This is really good. Then
- 24:55Speaker 3: you can then go and book a bigger package for
- 24:57Speaker 3: a birthday party with a small package. It just gives
- 24:59Speaker 3: you a tester. We spoke about this pool table. So
- 25:02Speaker 3: people might hear, what's a pool table? But it's actually
- 25:05Speaker 3: a pool table. It's built on the floor. It's 12
- 25:07Speaker 3: foot by 8 foot. And you stand on it, like
- 25:09Speaker 3: Robbie and yourself alluded to earlier, and you kick the balls.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Into the pockets, yeah.
- 25:13Speaker 3: Into the pockets. Then we've got the e-games only we've
- 25:17Speaker 3: got an Xbox and a Playstation where they can play
- 25:21Speaker 3: EA football FIFA we've got that we've got the foosball
- 25:24Speaker 3: which is quite self-explanatory as well but the main thing
- 25:27Speaker 3: we've got on the football pitch we've got a projector
- 25:30Speaker 3: screen which comes down and it's an interactive projector game
- 25:33Speaker 3: where I've not seen that one yet you haven't seen
- 25:36Speaker 3: that one where the kids can get a football and
- 25:38Speaker 3: kick the ball onto the projector screen and it starts
- 25:42Speaker 3: you know like It's like a computer game. Interactive, isn't it? Yeah, interactive.
- 25:46Speaker 3: Maybe Ryan could explain a bit more.
- 25:48Speaker 1: I'm not really a computer guy. As I've not seen it, Ryan,
- 25:52Speaker 1: explain it a little bit more.
- 25:53Speaker 4: Yeah, so the way it works is it tracks movement
- 25:58Speaker 4: from the ball. So once you hit the screen, it
- 26:01Speaker 4: pops a balloon or smashes an asteroid or there's like
- 26:05Speaker 4: a box breaker game on there as well. And then
- 26:08Speaker 4: obviously there's a timer. You can score points as well. And,
- 26:13Speaker 4: you know, we could do it as a little competition
- 26:16Speaker 4: between everyone, but obviously at the end of the.
- 26:17Speaker 3: Day, it's just about having fun and enjoying yourself, really.
- 26:20Speaker 1: As I say, I saw the screen, but it wasn't
- 26:23Speaker 1: up and running when I came in.
- 26:25Speaker 3: Technical issues at the time.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Oh, was it?
- 26:28Speaker 3: Okay.
- 26:28Speaker 1: That was a few weeks ago. And when did you
- 26:31Speaker 1: start the... I know it's taken a while to actually
- 26:35Speaker 1: build the... But when did you go live and do
- 26:38Speaker 1: your first booking? When was you open from?
- 26:41Speaker 4: Uh, we started a couple of weeks ago. We had
- 26:43Speaker 4: our first, uh, like big party. Um, and it went
- 26:46Speaker 4: really well. Um, obviously there was a few issues, but
- 26:49Speaker 4: you know, like anything, you know, but it's all a
- 26:52Speaker 4: learning experience. And obviously hopefully from that, we've like made
- 26:56Speaker 4: a few changes and yeah, so far so good. People
- 26:59Speaker 4: are saying that, you know, they're, they're really enjoying the space.
- 27:01Speaker 1: So it's really great. There is one thing I will
- 27:04Speaker 1: say that is in there on the, on the actual
- 27:06Speaker 1: football pitch. You've got, um, to one side, you've got
- 27:09Speaker 1: a quiz, um, We.
- 27:11Speaker 3: Want to keep that quiet and secret.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I wasn't going to send you questions, but I
- 27:18Speaker 1: will tell the listener out there that 10 questions, was it?
- 27:22Speaker 4: Yes.
- 27:23Speaker 1: And how many did I get.
- 27:24Speaker 3: Right, Mo? All 10. Only person. We need to get
- 27:27Speaker 3: a leaderboard to put you on there straight away.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Top of the league.
- 27:30Speaker 3: I'm very impressed with your football knowledge. I like to
- 27:32Speaker 3: keep myself a bit of a football connoisseur of trivia
- 27:34Speaker 3: and knowledge, but yeah, you were straight out.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Yeah, actually, the I'm not being big, Eddie, but for me,
- 27:42Speaker 1: they were quite easy because it went back a long way.
- 27:45Speaker 3: It's a certain era. And also as well, what it
- 27:47Speaker 3: is to allude to what you're saying is that quiz
- 27:50Speaker 3: there is when we do give the sessions for the schools,
- 27:56Speaker 3: that quiz there is actually mainly not just for the party,
- 28:00Speaker 3: for the schools. We want to teach people about. heritage
- 28:03Speaker 3: and history. We're not trying to teach kids history or
- 28:07Speaker 3: be teachers, but we're trying to tell the children about
- 28:10Speaker 3: the heritage of England, especially England football. Myself and Robbie
- 28:14Speaker 3: are so lucky to be British and English, and we're
- 28:17Speaker 3: from a different background, but we believe in our heart,
- 28:22Speaker 3: whatever England play, we're always following. It's a shame that
- 28:26Speaker 3: kids don't know this certain era. I don't want to
- 28:30Speaker 3: allude to it too much, but let's say the world
- 28:32Speaker 3: cup yeah and then we should know who bob moore
- 28:36Speaker 3: is we should know bobby child we should know these
- 28:37Speaker 3: heroes of a generation who've built up now what football
- 28:41Speaker 3: is yep and then when the kids see it and
- 28:43Speaker 3: they don't they know when they find out just to
- 28:45Speaker 3: see their faces when they realize what it is i
- 28:48Speaker 3: think every child should have that even they're not a
- 28:51Speaker 3: football fan they should have that in their mind of
- 28:54Speaker 3: the history what's been built so we're trying to kind
- 28:56Speaker 3: of like be history teachers.
- 28:59Speaker 1: Yeah I totally get that from the questions I saw
- 29:02Speaker 1: on there and I'm thinking oh you know these you
- 29:05Speaker 1: know like you say some people probably have to think
- 29:07Speaker 1: quite hard about.
- 29:08Speaker 3: Them yeah even parents so we had a few parents
- 29:11Speaker 3: that wasn't too sure but when we've told them they've
- 29:12Speaker 3: realised it and I know the whole thing is that
- 29:17Speaker 3: no one's going to get every question unless you're yourself
- 29:20Speaker 3: and if no one's right no one's wrong but what
- 29:22Speaker 3: we do in that part we bring the parents all
- 29:25Speaker 3: the teachers together with the kids And we tell them, look,
- 29:27Speaker 3: we'll give you a few moments. We'll go. I'm giving
- 29:29Speaker 3: too much away now. And then the parents or the
- 29:32Speaker 3: teacher can give the kids the answer because we don't
- 29:34Speaker 3: want children to get anything wrong. And they do it.
- 29:36Speaker 3: We just tell them, look, this is what's happened. And
- 29:37Speaker 3: they go, wow, like one child, a couple of weeks,
- 29:40Speaker 3: it was really funny. Great answer, I thought. We asked them,
- 29:42Speaker 3: who was the winning captain? I'll give you one question.
- 29:44Speaker 3: And he turned around and said, David Beckham. And I
- 29:47Speaker 3: turned around and said, I really wish it was David
- 29:49Speaker 3: Beckham because I would have seen him in our lives.
- 29:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I get that. I mean, a lot of kids today,
- 29:56Speaker 1: they don't realise that there was... football before the premier
- 30:00Speaker 1: league yeah um and it's football.
- 30:01Speaker 3: Now outside the premier league like folks and invicta well
- 30:04Speaker 3: you know who you follow you.
- 30:05Speaker 1: Know exactly i mean uh i mean i'm a great
- 30:08Speaker 1: follower of non-league football yeah and i've been following folks
- 30:12Speaker 1: since 1975 was my first game when i was 10
- 30:15Speaker 1: so you know the things that are going on at
- 30:17Speaker 1: folks and invicta now i've waited all my life for
- 30:20Speaker 1: something decent to come i'm not saying it wasn't decent
- 30:23Speaker 1: before but you know we we just carried on and
- 30:26Speaker 1: if we finished in the top half of the table,
- 30:29Speaker 1: we've done well. You know, now Josh is coming in
- 30:32Speaker 1: with all his money and, you know, it's come to
- 30:34Speaker 1: fruition that we're now in the National League South and pushing, hopefully,
- 30:40Speaker 1: pushing towards the National League and who knows beyond that,
- 30:43Speaker 1: the Football League.
- 30:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:45Speaker 1: I just hope I'm still all around to see it.
- 30:48Speaker 3: We'll be big fans of supporters this year, so yeah.
- 30:51Speaker 1: But yeah, I mean, as I say, kids... Today, they
- 30:53Speaker 1: don't realise that there was a league before the Premier League.
- 30:58Speaker 3: I could tell you about some players. I'll give you
- 31:00Speaker 3: an example. Someone like Matthew Letizia.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Matthew Letizia.
- 31:04Speaker 3: One of my favourite players. But if a certain generation
- 31:07Speaker 3: now want to know about Matthew Letizia, they have to
- 31:09Speaker 3: go back onto YouTube, etc. But if you've not seen
- 31:13Speaker 3: a player with your own eyes and you just... Any
- 31:16Speaker 3: highlights clip, I know, I'm not the best footballer, but
- 31:18Speaker 3: if someone gave me a little highlights clip of me,
- 31:19Speaker 3: I look like I'm Panay or Maradona. We could do
- 31:23Speaker 3: that with AI and stuff. But sometimes, like you said,
- 31:26Speaker 3: it's not the kids' fault. It's generation.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Of course.
- 31:30Speaker 3: But we need to remind them of the history. So
- 31:33Speaker 3: that's what we're trying to do. Remind them of having
- 31:35Speaker 3: the pride and the history of, you know what, England
- 31:37Speaker 3: won the World Cup in 1966. These players, all four
- 31:42Speaker 3: men and the manager were heroes. instill that just have
- 31:46Speaker 3: the pride and the passion when england played remember that's
- 31:49Speaker 3: what we're trying to do with the history.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Um yeah and it does come across well to be
- 31:53Speaker 1: perfectly honest with you i mean it is great uh
- 31:57Speaker 1: that uh all these things are happening and you know
- 31:59Speaker 1: you're trying to push this i i when i saw
- 32:01Speaker 1: it first of all and i'm thinking i couldn't see
- 32:05Speaker 1: the vision first of all you know looking at it
- 32:07Speaker 1: and then once it's all finished and you said you
- 32:09Speaker 1: know you had your open day for the sponsors and
- 32:11Speaker 1: you asked me to come along and i came along
- 32:13Speaker 1: and i I looked and I saw the finished product
- 32:15Speaker 1: and I'm thinking, this is really good. I mean, I'm
- 32:18Speaker 1: looking at it and I'm thinking, yeah, I get it.
- 32:21Speaker 1: You know, when they come in, they sit down on
- 32:23Speaker 1: the bench and they can have their photo taken with... Yeah,
- 32:25Speaker 1: it's all about experience. Yeah, it's great.
- 32:28Speaker 3: Experiences and memories we're trying to create for parties, not
- 32:31Speaker 3: just for the children, for the parents, the spectators, everybody
- 32:34Speaker 3: we try to use it as a whole for everybody
- 32:38Speaker 3: and it's an immersive experience. Me and Ryan were talking
- 32:42Speaker 3: earlier about Maybe we've left it a little bit late
- 32:45Speaker 3: for half term. But we're actually thinking just to do
- 32:47Speaker 3: an open day very soon for anybody. A certain day
- 32:51Speaker 3: we'll do maybe half term. It's probably the best time
- 32:54Speaker 3: kids are off and families are off. And we'll do
- 32:56Speaker 3: like an open day in the area. If you're in
- 32:59Speaker 3: the area, come down. We'll be there. We'll just show
- 33:01Speaker 3: you around. And you get a much better idea of
- 33:03Speaker 3: what we do. I can talk, obviously, but I can
- 33:06Speaker 3: talk all day long. and I have a big passion
- 33:08Speaker 3: for this.
- 33:09Speaker 1: That does come across, Mo. No, it's great, honestly. It's
- 33:12Speaker 1: for my son.
- 33:14Speaker 3: Exactly. My son really had this idea, and I've just
- 33:17Speaker 3: got into it. We all try and do what we
- 33:21Speaker 3: can for our children. Everybody does. I've been able to
- 33:24Speaker 3: do this at a certain level, but someone just loving
- 33:27Speaker 3: the child and giving them time. As parents, that's what
- 33:30Speaker 3: we can do. So my son having this idea has
- 33:32Speaker 3: brought out the passion and the love for him that
- 33:34Speaker 3: I really want to... Help him, you know?
- 33:37Speaker 1: So what are the platforms that they can get in
- 33:39Speaker 1: contact with you?
- 33:40Speaker 3: So at the moment, there's three platforms we're using. Obviously,
- 33:45Speaker 3: email is the easiest one. We've got infotechersuk.com. Facebook, just
- 33:50Speaker 3: message us direct there. And Instagram, if you go to
- 33:53Speaker 3: our website, www.techersuk.com, there is a WhatsApp service available, which
- 33:59Speaker 3: is probably a lot easier. The team are always on
- 34:03Speaker 3: the phone and responding.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Okay, and... just to let the listeners know, Tekkers is
- 34:07Speaker 1: spelled T-E-K-K-E-R-S.
- 34:11Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 34:12Speaker 1: Yeah. Okay, that's it. That might help if they're looking
- 34:15Speaker 1: for you.
- 34:15Speaker 3: If they can see us visually, they'll see we've got
- 34:18Speaker 3: our Tekkers tractors with all our names on. We're looking
- 34:21Speaker 3: at the business. What's that saying? All the gear, no idea?
- 34:26Speaker 1: Well, we'll have a few photos before the end, and
- 34:28Speaker 1: we'll stick them up on our Radio Folkestone page. Running
- 34:34Speaker 1: out of time already. We'll stick another tune on and
- 34:37Speaker 1: then we'll wind things up. But we'll play this one
- 34:42Speaker 1: from 19... What year is it? 85.
- 34:47Speaker 3: Blimey.
- 34:47Speaker 1: This is from a James Bond film. Probably one of
- 34:50Speaker 1: my favourite James Bond films. This one is Duran Duran
- 34:53Speaker 1: and View to a Kill. there you go Simon Le
- 35:31Speaker 1: Bon with the boys Duran Duran and A View to
- 35:33Speaker 1: a Kill the Roger Moore was the James Bond in
- 35:36Speaker 1: that one if I do remember correctly Mo's just popped
- 35:41Speaker 1: out of the studio so we've got Robbie and Ryan
- 35:43Speaker 1: back in here just going to literally just close down
- 35:47Speaker 1: now and thank them for coming in anything else you
- 35:50Speaker 1: want to say boys that you think you might have
- 35:52Speaker 1: forgotten or I think Mo's been very vocal and gone
- 35:56Speaker 1: through most things Ryan.
- 35:58Speaker 4: No I think he's covered most things as I say
- 36:00Speaker 4: he's just so passionate obviously because it's him and his
- 36:05Speaker 4: son it's his son's business at the end of the
- 36:07Speaker 4: day and yeah it's just great to hear the level
- 36:10Speaker 4: of passion they've got for football and obviously for giving
- 36:13Speaker 4: back to the community as well it's brilliant.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Yeah as I said make sure you do get in
- 36:18Speaker 1: contact with them schools especially as well I mean there
- 36:23Speaker 1: is no age limit.
- 36:23Speaker 4: Either is there I'm assuming so we'll mainly looking at
- 36:27Speaker 4: doing primary school age at the moment um just because
- 36:30Speaker 4: it is a it's not an overly big space um
- 36:33Speaker 4: so we're trying to do sort of like year seven
- 36:36Speaker 4: downwards so just into secondary school that's sort of like
- 36:40Speaker 4: the ideal range yeah okay um.
- 36:42Speaker 1: And you you you oh god from about four people
- 36:46Speaker 1: up to what would be the maximum that you.
- 36:48Speaker 4: Would have Um, so like most of the packages are
- 36:51Speaker 4: like sort of either 10 or 12, um, but we
- 36:54Speaker 4: can take more.
- 36:55Speaker 1: Okay.
- 36:55Speaker 4: It, you know, it's just obviously how it's managed and
- 36:58Speaker 4: obviously we could do like little different stations and things.
- 37:01Speaker 1: So yeah, I get that. I get that. Uh, so
- 37:03Speaker 1: obviously get in contact with yourselves and, uh, sort of
- 37:06Speaker 1: a package out.
- 37:07Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 37:08Speaker 1: Well, thank you for coming in today, Ryan. That is
- 37:10Speaker 1: a fantastic Robbie. We'll, uh, we'll end with you, mate. Uh,
- 37:14Speaker 1: we started with you, uh, your idea. Um, You've got
- 37:18Speaker 1: a good dad there. He cares a lot about me.
- 37:23Speaker 1: That does come across as well, Robbie. Anything else you'd
- 37:28Speaker 1: like to say? Any shout-outs that you want to do
- 37:30Speaker 1: to anybody? Say your hellos to your mates. You're live
- 37:34Speaker 1: on the radio, so go for it.
- 37:36Speaker 2: I don't think any of my friends are listening to
- 37:37Speaker 2: it now.
- 37:38Speaker 1: We don't want to hear that Robbie all your friends
- 37:41Speaker 1: are listening obviously well anyway guys thank you very much
- 37:45Speaker 1: for coming in this morning it is much appreciated as
- 37:48Speaker 1: I say hopefully the business goes from strength to strength
- 37:52Speaker 1: and it is in the Emporium the old Wilco's building
- 37:58Speaker 1: and it's upstairs as Mo, Ryan and Robbie were speaking
- 38:02Speaker 1: to about earlier on the guys now got a busy
- 38:07Speaker 1: day that today they got a booking so they're going
- 38:09Speaker 1: to shoot off uh i'm going to play maybe one
- 38:13Speaker 1: more record and then i'm going to uh briefly tell
- 38:18Speaker 1: you about focusing in victor's victory on tuesday evening and
- 38:22Speaker 1: then promote today's game against farm bro this is also
- 38:25Speaker 1: going to be me on wednesday night i'm going to
- 38:29Speaker 1: Chalk in Brighton and I'm going to see one of
- 38:31Speaker 1: my favourite bands they haven't toured for 35 years. This
- 38:36Speaker 1: is Transvision Vamp and this one's called Sister Moon.
- 38:54Speaker 3: Hey Sister Moon Are you coming around.
- 39:12Speaker 1: There you go the lovely Wendy James and Sister Moon
- 39:17Speaker 1: Transvision Vamp who I'm thankfully going to go and see
- 39:21Speaker 1: on Wednesday evening really looking forward to that going with
- 39:23Speaker 1: my good friend Heidi Aldred and really looking forward to
- 39:28Speaker 1: our day in Brighton anyway as everything always time runs
- 39:34Speaker 1: our way with us thanks for Mo and the guys
- 39:36Speaker 1: coming in talking about Tekkers getting in contact with them
- 39:39Speaker 1: it looks an absolutely fantastic thing up there in the
- 39:43Speaker 1: old Wilco's building just a couple of minutes to go
- 39:47Speaker 1: yeah on Tuesday evening folks in Invicta played Dover Athletic
- 39:51Speaker 1: in the second round of the Kent Senior Cup. And
- 39:53Speaker 1: a big shout out actually to Freddie Francis, one of
- 39:56Speaker 1: the young lads. He'd been on trial at Ipswich Town,
- 39:59Speaker 1: had a couple of weeks up there. He came back
- 40:03Speaker 1: in the starting line-up and scored probably one of the
- 40:05Speaker 1: best goals at Cheriton Road this season. So I'm pretty
- 40:10Speaker 1: sure that will be in the goal of the month
- 40:12Speaker 1: come the end of October. Today we are at home
- 40:17Speaker 1: to Farnborough Town, 3pm kick-off. The weather is a little
- 40:21Speaker 1: bit grey and grim out there, but obviously we'd like
- 40:24Speaker 1: to see your support down there at the Alkaline Stadium
- 40:27Speaker 1: 3 o'clock kick-off. If you can't get down there, then
- 40:31Speaker 1: you can listen to me on Seasiders Radio. Tune in
- 40:35Speaker 1: from 5 to 3 on MRXR. Click on my Facebook
- 40:42Speaker 1: page and there is a link on there or the
- 40:44Speaker 1: Seasiders Radio link on the Facebook page. as I say,
- 40:50Speaker 1: time's running out with me. I'm going to leave you
- 40:52Speaker 1: with Men at Work and Down Under, and then the
- 40:56Speaker 1: news will kick in. Thank you very much for tuning in.
- 40:59Speaker 1: I'll be back again next Saturday. Kev's away again next week,
- 41:02Speaker 1: so you've got me again, I'm afraid. But I'll be
- 41:05Speaker 1: back again next Saturday. Thank you for listening. Thanks to
- 41:08Speaker 1: Mo and the guys coming in. This is Men at Work,
- 41:11Speaker 1: Down Under, followed by the news.
- 41:18Speaker 3: I met a strange lady.
- 41:19Speaker 4: She made me nervous. She took me in and gave
- 41:22Speaker 4: me breakfast. And she said, do you come from Orlando?
