- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing In with Becca Tilly and Tanya rt An iHeartRadio podcast.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Hello everybody, we are scrubbing.
- 0:09Speaker 3: In scrub adub dub with two tub atub tubs.
- 0:14Speaker 4: Oh you know why because we have a tub and
- 0:17Speaker 4: then our guests have a tub.
- 0:18Speaker 5: Oh I see, Yeah, two tubs, one.
- 0:23Speaker 4: Podcast, one O R you like that?
- 0:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I am so excited about our guests today.
- 0:28Speaker 5: Tell me I have been wanting them on the podcast
- 0:30Speaker 5: for a few weeks now.
- 0:32Speaker 4: No more than that, because you were getting Joey for
- 0:34Speaker 4: like a month.
- 0:35Speaker 5: I wanted Joey since he was a Bachelor. Yeah, but
- 0:38Speaker 5: now that he's with Jenna, I wanted them as a duo.
- 0:41Speaker 4: And now today we have them as a duo. They're
- 0:43Speaker 4: in the.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Ballroom, They're on the dance floor. On the dance floor,
- 0:45Speaker 3: Jenna is always on the dance floor. Joey is right
- 0:48Speaker 3: off of his stint on The Bachelor. Not right off,
- 0:50Speaker 3: but yeah, it feels feels right off.
- 0:53Speaker 2: It's fresh enough.
- 0:54Speaker 4: Yeah, it's very fresh.
- 0:55Speaker 2: And they are crushing it this season.
- 0:58Speaker 5: Yeah, and I cannot wait to ask them all the questions.
- 1:01Speaker 3: So please welcome Jenna Johnson Schmerkovsky and Joey Grosseta.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Started.
- 1:14Speaker 5: We are so excited that y'all are here today because
- 1:16Speaker 5: I've been dying to talk to y'all and I'm so
- 1:19Speaker 5: happy what made this happen.
- 1:21Speaker 6: Very excited to be here.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Yes, where do we begin?
- 1:26Speaker 4: It's tough.
- 1:28Speaker 5: Before we started, you were saying that Jenna is superstitious,
- 1:33Speaker 5: and she kind of scoffed. But there seems to be
- 1:38Speaker 5: some repetition in rituals, and I was curious what those are.
- 1:42Speaker 7: There's just like a bunch of little things that, again,
- 1:44Speaker 7: like if you're in a sports background, anything like superstition
- 1:47Speaker 7: is a normal thing. But we put on grips on
- 1:51Speaker 7: the bottom of our shoes to help with dancing. And
- 1:53Speaker 7: if I ever would give her my left foot first
- 1:55Speaker 7: to put the grip on, she would kill me because
- 1:57Speaker 7: it has to be right foot first. Every time she
- 2:00Speaker 7: puts a battery and mike pack on, if it's not
- 2:02Speaker 7: on her right side, she will tell the team, hey,
- 2:06Speaker 7: I'm sorry, not left side has to be right side.
- 2:09Speaker 6: Therapy. It's just little details of things that.
- 2:13Speaker 7: Again, I think she's just in a routine and needs
- 2:16Speaker 7: the repetition and needs to feel comfortable with it.
- 2:19Speaker 6: And I'm just along for the ride and making sure,
- 2:21Speaker 6: I don't mess with what the routine and the rituals are.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Thank you so much.
- 2:24Speaker 6: I'm here for you.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Have you joined her in the superstition?
- 2:27Speaker 6: I mean, yeah, it's if it works, we're sticking with it.
- 2:31Speaker 6: Never give you the left shoe first, it's always right
- 2:34Speaker 6: shoe first.
- 2:34Speaker 5: Is it as extensive as like wearing the same like
- 2:39Speaker 5: underwear and stuffery you pretty.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I'm not that crazy, but no, it's just like little
- 2:43Speaker 1: routines that have become part of this experience for me
- 2:47Speaker 1: on the show that I'm like, that works for me,
- 2:49Speaker 1: I'm going to stick with it. Also, I married a
- 2:53Speaker 1: Russian and they're like severely, severely superstitious, like everything is
- 2:58Speaker 1: a thing, Like if you even have a good thought,
- 3:00Speaker 1: you have to like knock on your head and say too.
- 3:02Speaker 1: It's the thing in Russian. Yeah, so like my mother
- 3:05Speaker 1: in law like heaven forbid you jinx anything good.
- 3:08Speaker 4: It's weird.
- 3:10Speaker 7: I'm also extremely sarcastic, and we'll say like dumb things
- 3:13Speaker 7: a lot of time, like I hope I don't roll
- 3:15Speaker 7: my ankle today, and she will just like.
- 3:19Speaker 6: Everywhere.
- 3:20Speaker 7: So it's been a funny kind of dynamic that we
- 3:22Speaker 7: have because I say the wrong thing almost every day
- 3:24Speaker 7: and then it just gets her a little bit off,
- 3:26Speaker 7: as you can see from thee.
- 3:29Speaker 3: But so you're saying you do it because it's like
- 3:31Speaker 3: your family, it's your mother in law.
- 3:33Speaker 4: It's not just in the ballroom like you know it
- 3:35Speaker 4: every day.
- 3:37Speaker 1: It intensified when I married my husband. Yeah, it's like,
- 3:40Speaker 1: obviously you know they're Ukrainian, but like just Europeans in general,
- 3:44Speaker 1: I think they have the superstitious nature and so it's
- 3:46Speaker 1: become part of my life. I should see somebody about that,
- 3:52Speaker 1: maybe basically, yes, yeah, maybe Vell needs to Yeah.
- 3:58Speaker 5: I feel like as a viewer I have been so
- 4:01Speaker 5: I was shocked at how good you are.
- 4:03Speaker 6: I appreciate it.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Did you know that you had it in you?
- 4:07Speaker 7: Not entirely, I've said it a lot, like I played
- 4:11Speaker 7: drums growing up, as people found out, and like I've
- 4:13Speaker 7: always really loved music, so I've always been really good
- 4:15Speaker 7: at listening and understanding music. I guess I think back
- 4:19Speaker 7: to when we did the first like part of the experience,
- 4:22Speaker 7: we did some type of bumper for the show and
- 4:24Speaker 7: we had to actually freestyle dance, and.
- 4:27Speaker 6: It was horrible, Like I was so bad.
- 4:29Speaker 7: But the one thing Jenna did say to me, was like, no,
- 4:31Speaker 7: but like you're even though you're doing it bad, you
- 4:33Speaker 7: were hitting the beat every time of when you're supposed
- 4:36Speaker 7: to move, and she's like, there's something in there, and
- 4:38Speaker 7: now I can really just listen to her and find
- 4:41Speaker 7: out what I'm supposed to do when the beat actually comes.
- 4:44Speaker 7: But I've always been at least able to like hear
- 4:46Speaker 7: and listen to it, and I think that probably is
- 4:49Speaker 7: the thing I brought into play. And besides that, I'm
- 4:51Speaker 7: just really listening what she says. But I didn't know
- 4:53Speaker 7: how I was going to perform. I didn't know a
- 4:55Speaker 7: lot of things, and I'm just very happy that it's
- 4:57Speaker 7: been going well so far.
- 4:58Speaker 5: Was it hard for you because you're a co your
- 5:00Speaker 5: tennis coach, so like being the one who's typically teaching
- 5:03Speaker 5: everyone in the right form and how to do it.
- 5:06Speaker 5: Was it hard for you to kind of let that
- 5:08Speaker 5: coach mentality down?
- 5:10Speaker 7: No, because I actually love the process of learning something
- 5:14Speaker 7: new as like a teaching pro for tennis too. A
- 5:17Speaker 7: lot of times I'm a lefty, so a lot of
- 5:19Speaker 7: times I teach people like, yeah, I'm rioty, okay, So
- 5:26Speaker 7: then you have to teach people a lot righty so
- 5:28Speaker 7: I actually early on we kind of noticed as like
- 5:30Speaker 7: a trick for tennis is like I would actually try
- 5:32Speaker 7: to hit the ball a lot of times, ready to
- 5:34Speaker 7: know what it feels like for that person and try
- 5:35Speaker 7: to use my opposite hand, and like, I enjoy the
- 5:38Speaker 7: idea of feeling uncomfortable because then you actually understand what
- 5:41Speaker 7: it's like as someone coming and trying to do something new.
- 5:44Speaker 3: And it's a very like take that and like take
- 5:47Speaker 3: that into like a little bit of like a microcosm
- 5:49Speaker 3: what a great partner now, Like.
- 5:51Speaker 1: But that's why I think he is so great. There
- 5:53Speaker 1: isn't ego involved, and I don't like to learn something new.
- 5:57Speaker 1: I don't think many people enjoy being like not good
- 6:00Speaker 1: at something immediately. So he's really great at taking it
- 6:04Speaker 1: all in and being able to receive feedback and loves
- 6:07Speaker 1: the idea of repetition and knows that the progress is
- 6:11Speaker 1: going to happen if we keep doing it, if he keeps,
- 6:13Speaker 1: you know, listening to feedback. So I think that's why
- 6:16Speaker 1: he is such a great student. Maybe that teacher background,
- 6:20Speaker 1: I think, but also yeah, musicality, there's there's so many
- 6:23Speaker 1: great things about it.
- 6:23Speaker 4: Are you like that in your personal life.
- 6:26Speaker 7: I think I've always enjoyed trying new things. But I think,
- 6:29Speaker 7: as everyone else, like once you get good at something,
- 6:31Speaker 7: you kind of keep doing it. So I like, golf
- 6:34Speaker 7: is my new thing that I love so much, and
- 6:36Speaker 7: I'm great some days. I suck others, and it's not
- 6:38Speaker 7: fun to be bad at something, but I do enjoy
- 6:41Speaker 7: trying to do new things and dance with something I've
- 6:43Speaker 7: always been interested in. So yeah, I don't know, I
- 6:46Speaker 7: think just this process, and I really will say it's
- 6:49Speaker 7: having her as a coach, Like it makes it so
- 6:51Speaker 7: much easier to have her every time be the one
- 6:53Speaker 7: that's helping me through it because I don't know, we've
- 6:55Speaker 7: kind of figured out a way to like Wednesdays and
- 6:57Speaker 7: Thursdays are hard, and we know they're hard, but then
- 7:00Speaker 7: I just see us kind of build each day and
- 7:02Speaker 7: it's it makes it feel like you can actually trust
- 7:04Speaker 7: the process of it.
- 7:05Speaker 3: No, But I mean, like when you said that you
- 7:09Speaker 3: like to see things from other people's perspectives and like
- 7:11Speaker 3: do it that way. I'm like, that's like the dream,
- 7:12Speaker 3: Like that's what anybody wants like their partner to say,
- 7:15Speaker 3: like in your romantic life too, Like I want to
- 7:17Speaker 3: see this from your perspectives.
- 7:19Speaker 4: Put myself in your ship.
- 7:20Speaker 6: I think about others a lot more than myself.
- 7:22Speaker 4: That's just that's double edged sword.
- 7:25Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, it works good.
- 7:27Speaker 5: And so yeah, yeah, Jenna, did you when you met
- 7:30Speaker 5: like how?
- 7:31Speaker 2: Oh this was my question. I don't know if you
- 7:33Speaker 2: can share this. But in terms of who your partner is,
- 7:36Speaker 2: do you have any say in it?
- 7:38Speaker 4: I wish really you don't get any even like seniority.
- 7:42Speaker 1: No, no, I mean I think they tried to mix
- 7:45Speaker 1: it up. So if you've had like an amazing couple
- 7:47Speaker 1: of seasons, you know they'll distribute, so everybody has an opportunity,
- 7:51Speaker 1: but there's no say it's really our casting director has
- 7:56Speaker 1: everything to do with it. So yeah, the luck of
- 8:00Speaker 1: the draw. When you walk in there, you're like, all right,
- 8:02Speaker 1: well this is what this is what I'm dealing with
- 8:04Speaker 1: for the next couple of months. So you're dealing with
- 8:05Speaker 1: that terrible word.
- 8:07Speaker 7: But like, well, I think the other part that's crazy
- 8:09Speaker 7: too is every season they don't really even know how
- 8:12Speaker 7: the celebrities are going to be too. Like people could
- 8:15Speaker 7: come and being like yeah I can dance, or like
- 8:17Speaker 7: I don't know if I'm going to be good like
- 8:18Speaker 7: no one knows until you get to start the process,
- 8:20Speaker 7: so it is kind of hard to also match up.
- 8:22Speaker 7: They do know, like obviously this season chan they're coming in,
- 8:25Speaker 7: I think they knew that girl knew how to dance, right, But.
- 8:28Speaker 6: Then everyone else they don't know how they're going to
- 8:29Speaker 6: kind of go through the process, which is hard.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Our casting director, Dina Cat she's incredible and she knows
- 8:34Speaker 1: all of us pros inside and out. She knows our personalities,
- 8:36Speaker 1: our heights. You know, there's so many variables that go
- 8:39Speaker 1: into it. But she really really.
- 8:42Speaker 4: Blessed me this season, so forever grateful.
- 8:44Speaker 5: Well, they say, like, do you just take a deep
- 8:46Speaker 5: breath when you like get who you're gonna Yeah, you
- 8:49Speaker 5: saw him doing his freestyle, even though he says it
- 8:51Speaker 5: was not good horrible, but you were like, I see
- 8:55Speaker 5: potential that this could this could really work.
- 8:58Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 8:58Speaker 1: I So we met and I didn't watch the season
- 9:03Speaker 1: of The Bachelor, so sorry, you know really I know, Well, okay,
- 9:07Speaker 1: so I heard the same thing from so many people,
- 9:10Speaker 1: and my sister is like a mega Bachelor fan, and
- 9:12Speaker 1: so she was like he is the greatest guy, like
- 9:15Speaker 1: the nicest guy. Everyone loved him, and I was like okay, awesome,
- 9:20Speaker 1: and he's athletic, you know, he plays tennis. I'm like, sick.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Does that translate?
- 9:24Speaker 4: Let's try.
- 9:25Speaker 1: And then we met each other and the same day
- 9:27Speaker 1: we had like our big Dancing with the Star's promo shoot.
- 9:30Speaker 1: And it's such an uncomfortable day because it's like nine
- 9:33Speaker 1: hours stuck together. I'm in full spray Tan Ryan Stones.
- 9:38Speaker 1: We're just like and they're like just like dance together
- 9:40Speaker 1: and it's so awkward and vulnerable, and he had such
- 9:44Speaker 1: a great attitude about it. He just kind of like
- 9:46Speaker 1: giggled the whole time. And then they made him freestyle
- 9:50Speaker 1: by himself like ten times as a professional dancer, I
- 9:54Speaker 1: would get uncomfortable freestyling for as long as they made him.
- 9:57Speaker 1: And he was like kind of hitting the time and
- 10:00Speaker 1: like doing fun, groovy moves, and I was like, wait,
- 10:02Speaker 1: what's happening. So I got really excited then, and I
- 10:08Speaker 1: think we just immediately like clicked as well. We have
- 10:10Speaker 1: a similar i don't know, not personality, but we just
- 10:13Speaker 1: kind of got along VI yeah, yeah, good vibes. So
- 10:17Speaker 1: it made me really motivated. And then I just wanted
- 10:19Speaker 1: to like shock people because they had no expectations for him.
- 10:23Speaker 1: To be a dancer, and he's not a dancer, but
- 10:26Speaker 1: I think he's just like that perfect candidate for this
- 10:30Speaker 1: show where he's just going to embrace it. And each
- 10:32Speaker 1: week I feel like you've done that where you kind
- 10:34Speaker 1: of just shocked people and we're like, oh my gosh,
- 10:36Speaker 1: how did he do that?
- 10:37Speaker 5: Well? I feel like that's the fun part of watching
- 10:39Speaker 5: the show is. And it's fun to watch someone who's
- 10:41Speaker 5: a really good dancer dance obviously, but it's really fun
- 10:44Speaker 5: to watch someone that has no background in dancing come
- 10:47Speaker 5: on and surprise everybody to where you're like, oh my gosh,
- 10:51Speaker 5: you just needed a coach, you just needed a good partner.
- 10:53Speaker 1: It's like that beautiful Cinderella story where you like watch
- 10:56Speaker 1: the journey and see the transformation you're like, oh my gosh.
- 11:01Speaker 4: So yeah.
- 11:01Speaker 1: I think that's why people also are really drawn to
- 11:03Speaker 1: you on the show, is seeing his growth and seeing
- 11:07Speaker 1: him even from week one, I feel like he's gotten
- 11:09Speaker 1: so much better as a dancer naturally, So you're welcome.
- 11:14Speaker 3: Is it like such a crazy kind of like vortex
- 11:16Speaker 3: that you're thrown into because it's like you you both
- 11:19Speaker 3: have lives, like you're in relationships, you have lives going on,
- 11:21Speaker 3: and then you get thrown into this like this almost
- 11:24Speaker 3: like a bootcam.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a bubble for sure. It's a big three
- 11:27Speaker 1: months worth of a bubble.
- 11:28Speaker 7: It's a big like a lotted amount of time you
- 11:31Speaker 7: just get It's it just takes all your focus too, Like, yeah,
- 11:34Speaker 7: I'm dreaming about dancing now, I don't even dream like
- 11:36Speaker 7: I'm just going to bed. I'm like think about the
- 11:37Speaker 7: dancer the night before, and it's just yeah, it just
- 11:40Speaker 7: it takes up a lot of your mental space and everything.
- 11:42Speaker 6: But it's so much fun.
- 11:43Speaker 7: They do such a good job on this show making
- 11:46Speaker 7: everyone feel so comfortable. There is this kind of family aspect,
- 11:49Speaker 7: So as much as you're getting pulled out of your
- 11:50Speaker 7: normal lives, it's so nice to have the actual process
- 11:53Speaker 7: be so enjoyable too.
- 11:55Speaker 5: Which has been harder was The Bachelor being the Bachelor
- 11:58Speaker 5: or Dancing with the Stars.
- 12:00Speaker 7: I would say they're just different. It's hard to compare.
- 12:03Speaker 7: I think the Bachelor, as you know, is such a
- 12:06Speaker 7: I don't want to use the word invasion. It's just
- 12:08Speaker 7: like it's your personal life, Like you're putting yourself out
- 12:11Speaker 7: there and talking so much about your feelings and you're
- 12:14Speaker 7: possibly going to end up with someone that could be
- 12:15Speaker 7: your forever partner. So there's so much that is at
- 12:17Speaker 7: stake with something like that that puts a lot of
- 12:20Speaker 7: pressure on yourself. But then this is so different because
- 12:23Speaker 7: it's the competition side, the performance side.
- 12:25Speaker 6: You're you're finding.
- 12:26Speaker 7: Out new things about yourself, You're doing something so uncomfortable,
- 12:29Speaker 7: something that you've.
- 12:30Speaker 6: Never done before.
- 12:31Speaker 7: I'd say the physical and mental part of this is different,
- 12:35Speaker 7: but it is almost harder because the nice part about
- 12:37Speaker 7: the Bachelors I could just be myself and just hope
- 12:39Speaker 7: that what I was doing was going to at least work,
- 12:42Speaker 7: and I didn't have to think as much. I would say,
- 12:45Speaker 7: like I just kind of just did me and just
- 12:47Speaker 7: hoped it worked out.
- 12:48Speaker 6: I'm thinking every day.
- 12:49Speaker 7: Doing this, whether it's dancing, whether it's like, Okay, now
- 12:52Speaker 7: I have to actually go perform, and like ignore the
- 12:54Speaker 7: fact this is live television.
- 12:56Speaker 6: Is so much harder to do, so much harder to do.
- 12:58Speaker 5: That's what I feel like would be the really hard
- 13:00Speaker 5: part is that in a rehearsal room, you're like, I've
- 13:02Speaker 5: got this down, like I know it like the back
- 13:04Speaker 5: of my hand, and then you put an audience and
- 13:06Speaker 5: cameras and the live element to it, and it's just
- 13:09Speaker 5: like this unparalleled sense of pressure and performance. And I'm
- 13:15Speaker 5: curious about because you brought up chemistry. Have y'all had
- 13:18Speaker 5: chemistry as soon as you know y'all met and you
- 13:20Speaker 5: know it's gonna be good vibes. Have you had a
- 13:22Speaker 5: situation where you met your partner and it was you
- 13:25Speaker 5: were just like, we don't have it, but I'm gonah.
- 13:28Speaker 1: For sure, for sure, And that is so scary because
- 13:33Speaker 1: there are a lot of things that happen live in
- 13:36Speaker 1: our performance. Like I feel like every time we've danced
- 13:39Speaker 1: on the show, something has happened, like something new has happened.
- 13:42Speaker 1: And if you don't have that trust, you don't have
- 13:45Speaker 1: that like, oh, we we'll fix this and we'll just
- 13:47Speaker 1: and we'll trust each other because we both know that,
- 13:49Speaker 1: like we're on the same page. So if you don't
- 13:52Speaker 1: gel or vibe, it's really hard to have that trust
- 13:56Speaker 1: in such a high pressure, intense situation. We're like, oh,
- 13:59Speaker 1: we're gonna make this work because I have no idea
- 14:01Speaker 1: where his head's at.
- 14:02Speaker 4: Yeah, So I.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Feel like we have we have that like yeah, I
- 14:05Speaker 1: mean connection where we're like, okay, yeah, I slipped, but
- 14:09Speaker 1: you're gonna grab me.
- 14:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:10Speaker 7: We can use this last week as an example too,
- 14:12Speaker 7: Like we going into that dance, it was it felt
- 14:15Speaker 7: so great during practice, like it was probably the most
- 14:17Speaker 7: confident we've ever been going into like a Monday and
- 14:19Speaker 7: Tuesday we started doing practice runs and it just never
- 14:22Speaker 7: hit something was wrong with it, and we were like
- 14:24Speaker 7: trying to figure out why it didn't feel good when
- 14:26Speaker 7: we got on the ballroom dance floor and it started
- 14:30Speaker 7: to get better on Tuesday, but there was just something
- 14:32Speaker 7: about we knew that there was something there that we
- 14:35Speaker 7: could fix. We talked about in the trailer before we
- 14:37Speaker 7: got out there, and we're like, we're gonna figure it out.
- 14:39Speaker 7: Like regardless, we trust each other, We're going to figure
- 14:41Speaker 7: it out. And that makes a huge difference because if
- 14:43Speaker 7: we didn't have a good relationship and connection, I probably
- 14:47Speaker 7: was gonna be in my head so much going into that.
- 14:49Speaker 7: But I do remember that moment right before we just
- 14:51Speaker 7: like look at each other, we smiled and let's enjoy
- 14:53Speaker 7: this dance.
- 14:53Speaker 6: We know this dance we can do it.
- 14:55Speaker 7: And that is huge to have before you get out
- 14:58Speaker 7: there because it's scary, it really is.
- 15:00Speaker 5: Yeah, y'all are like throwing like you're throwing her around,
- 15:02Speaker 5: and y'all are jumping all over each other.
- 15:04Speaker 4: And honestly, I could never do it.
- 15:21Speaker 3: Besides, just like the two of you being in this
- 15:22Speaker 3: wartex are you do you hang out with the other
- 15:25Speaker 3: cast members or do you like look at them like
- 15:26Speaker 3: you're my competition stay away or are you like more friendly?
- 15:32Speaker 7: You can speak on this because of the show different
- 15:35Speaker 7: You talk about it from like your perspective of how
- 15:37Speaker 7: it usually is on the show, and I'll explain what
- 15:38Speaker 7: it's like being in my position, because I think that's
- 15:40Speaker 7: a little different.
- 15:41Speaker 1: I think it's hard because we do have our own
- 15:43Speaker 1: individual lives and I'm also I've been with the pros
- 15:47Speaker 1: on the show for years and years and years, so
- 15:49Speaker 1: we have that like friendship. We've seen each other at
- 15:52Speaker 1: the best and the worst of times. We've gone on
- 15:53Speaker 1: tour together. So during the season, I don't feel like
- 15:56Speaker 1: we're like hanging out outside of practice. We see each
- 15:59Speaker 1: other every day. But it is fun to like get
- 16:01Speaker 1: to know the new celebrities each season and build those relationships.
- 16:05Speaker 1: I think you live at an apartment with some of them,
- 16:08Speaker 1: so you probably see them outside of the studio more
- 16:10Speaker 1: than I do. But it is nice to build these friendships,
- 16:13Speaker 1: in these bonds because they do last a lifetime.
- 16:16Speaker 7: It's weird too, because we do see each other sometimes
- 16:19Speaker 7: where we stay and like you run into them and
- 16:21Speaker 7: you get to have these little hellos and sometimes you
- 16:23Speaker 7: get to hang out with them. But as you guys know,
- 16:25Speaker 7: there's so much time you put into it that the
- 16:27Speaker 7: time we actually see them hang out is during rehearsals.
- 16:30Speaker 7: Because we're all at the same studio. You'll sometimes connect
- 16:32Speaker 7: and talk with them for.
- 16:33Speaker 6: A little bit.
- 16:34Speaker 7: I will say the coolest part about this show is
- 16:37Speaker 7: there's something about everyone doing something uncomfortable that there's not
- 16:41Speaker 7: really rooting against each.
- 16:43Speaker 6: Other energy, at least from this season.
- 16:45Speaker 7: Like, yeah, you want to have the best score of
- 16:47Speaker 7: the night, but that's under your control, that's not under theirs.
- 16:50Speaker 7: And when you see someone maybe have a falter or a mistake,
- 16:53Speaker 7: you can feel everyone being like, no, no, you got this,
- 16:55Speaker 7: like and pumping them up because when they come up
- 16:57Speaker 7: on that skybox and you can tell they're disappointed, the
- 16:59Speaker 7: last thing you want to do is rub it in
- 17:01Speaker 7: their face. You want to get them and tell them
- 17:03Speaker 7: how great it was, and like focus on this part
- 17:05Speaker 7: and that part, and I don't know, there's a camaraderie
- 17:07Speaker 7: that comes out of it that is really cool because
- 17:09Speaker 7: it is a competition show, but there's something about it.
- 17:12Speaker 6: That's just no though.
- 17:13Speaker 1: I think it is unique to this season as well,
- 17:16Speaker 1: not like we've had like villains on other seasons. But
- 17:19Speaker 1: there is the cast the season, for some reason, is
- 17:22Speaker 1: such a good cohesive group. Everybody's really positive. I think
- 17:26Speaker 1: maybe too because there's a lot of athletes, so there
- 17:28Speaker 1: is that like rooting for each other, yeah, and wanting
- 17:31Speaker 1: to see each other succeed. But it's really beautiful because
- 17:34Speaker 1: you don't get to see this part, but when a
- 17:36Speaker 1: couple's dancing, Joey mentioned this thing called the skybox, and
- 17:39Speaker 1: that's where Julianne's standing where she gives the scores, but
- 17:42Speaker 1: that's where the rest of us are watching, and we're
- 17:44Speaker 1: like watching on this balcony and we all collect and
- 17:47Speaker 1: watch whoever's going next and cheer loud for them, and
- 17:50Speaker 1: it's kind of special, Like I got she was thinking
- 17:52Speaker 1: about it. When else do you get to see that?
- 17:54Speaker 1: So it's really really sweet. But this cast in general,
- 17:57Speaker 1: I think is one of the sweetest all around sweetest.
- 18:00Speaker 7: We've got a great group, and I will say I
- 18:01Speaker 7: think each week it changes, you know, like people are
- 18:04Speaker 7: starting to really pay attention to the scores. I think
- 18:06Speaker 7: everyone feels like they have a chance to win it
- 18:08Speaker 7: this year. So because of that, it is getting more competitive,
- 18:11Speaker 7: but it's been fun to still see that there's there's
- 18:14Speaker 7: some friendliness.
- 18:14Speaker 6: To it still too.
- 18:15Speaker 5: Yeah, it's like, how do you avoid the competitional element
- 18:20Speaker 5: when it's such a tight race. You know, you literally
- 18:24Speaker 5: can't escape from the competition because you are married to
- 18:28Speaker 5: pro vow Yeah, and so you're in it twenty four
- 18:31Speaker 5: to seven. What is it like when y'all get home
- 18:34Speaker 5: and if it's is there, is it like camaraderie?
- 18:38Speaker 4: Turn it off?
- 18:38Speaker 3: Like is it something that you can just like turn
- 18:40Speaker 3: off and you're like, Okay, I'm home now, Like put
- 18:41Speaker 3: that hat away.
- 18:42Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 18:43Speaker 1: So you know, Valin I met on the show, and
- 18:46Speaker 1: there is no rule book on how to be married
- 18:50Speaker 1: or engaged to or dating somebody that you work with
- 18:53Speaker 1: that is, there's no like guidelines to it. So we've
- 18:57Speaker 1: over the years had to figure out how we know
- 19:00Speaker 1: navigate it and how we separate the two. And I
- 19:03Speaker 1: think at first we would take it home and we
- 19:05Speaker 1: would like really mentally go over it and be like
- 19:09Speaker 1: so stressed and bring it into our personal life. Not
- 19:11Speaker 1: in a negative way, it just like was constantly about work, work,
- 19:15Speaker 1: And I think now that we've been married for a
- 19:16Speaker 1: little bit and now we have a son, there is
- 19:19Speaker 1: a turn off. It is when I'm home, I'm mom,
- 19:22Speaker 1: I'm dad. You know, we're really engaged with our son.
- 19:25Speaker 1: But he's vow so amazing. He always wants to see
- 19:29Speaker 1: my video so he can give me tips and pointers
- 19:32Speaker 1: and things to like remind Joey about. And then when
- 19:35Speaker 1: he's at the studio at the same time, he'll come
- 19:37Speaker 1: into our rehearsal and like see how we're doing. We'll
- 19:40Speaker 1: do show and tells with him and Phaedra. So you know,
- 19:42Speaker 1: I think people are always like, oh, is it like
- 19:44Speaker 1: cut throat at your house and you're like, I want
- 19:46Speaker 1: to win, But it's really opposite of that. But we've
- 19:49Speaker 1: had to have years and years of navigating that and
- 19:51Speaker 1: like trying to figure it out. But I love that
- 19:54Speaker 1: we are such an anomaly of like who else can
- 19:56Speaker 1: say that they compete on a television show against their
- 19:59Speaker 1: spouse year after a year.
- 20:00Speaker 4: It's fun it's so cool.
- 20:02Speaker 3: It's like I can't even imagine it because it's like
- 20:05Speaker 3: you think about you know, like you get home at
- 20:06Speaker 3: the end of the day and you like ask your partner,
- 20:08Speaker 3: like how your day was.
- 20:09Speaker 4: It's like a totally different day. You know, I had
- 20:11Speaker 4: some business calls, you know, what did you do?
- 20:13Speaker 2: Like, Oh, my day was good.
- 20:14Speaker 3: But it's like you guys are like in it. You're
- 20:16Speaker 3: like living and breathing the same thing.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Similar days. Yeah, under high stress, Yeah, same timeline, like
- 20:22Speaker 1: and we both then have to go perform live with
- 20:24Speaker 1: our partners. Yeah. It's pretty unique, but it's it's awesome. Yeah,
- 20:29Speaker 1: I love it.
- 20:30Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:30Speaker 5: Is it does it help you being married being in
- 20:34Speaker 5: the same industry that helps with the I guess I'm
- 20:37Speaker 5: gonna get to the Kelsey of it all like with this,
- 20:41Speaker 5: because I personally would have a really hard time watching
- 20:47Speaker 5: my girlfriend but in this environment and like spending that
- 20:51Speaker 5: much time away and it's so intimate and you're like
- 20:53Speaker 5: with this person and you're doing these sexy dances. Does
- 20:56Speaker 5: it help you, like mentally being in the industry as him,
- 21:01Speaker 5: knowing kind of what the process is like, do you
- 21:03Speaker 5: think it would be harder for you if you weren't in.
- 21:05Speaker 1: It, absolutely for sure, and I think people have to
- 21:09Speaker 1: realize that I've also been on the receiving end of it,
- 21:14Speaker 1: so you know, like even when we were dating or engaged,
- 21:17Speaker 1: like beals had some hot partners. But I understand this
- 21:23Speaker 1: dance as a sport right right, and the artistry of it,
- 21:26Speaker 1: and I know that you have to have connection. And
- 21:28Speaker 1: then I've also had you know, really awesome partners where
- 21:32Speaker 1: he's been on the receiving end of it. So I
- 21:34Speaker 1: think it definitely helps that we're in the same industry
- 21:36Speaker 1: and we understand what the end goal is, right and
- 21:39Speaker 1: what it takes to get there. So I yeah, but
- 21:43Speaker 1: I can I have a lot of empathy for people
- 21:47Speaker 1: who are girlfriends or boyfriends that come on the show
- 21:50Speaker 1: and they are supportive and they want to see their
- 21:52Speaker 1: partners succeed because it does take a lot of strength
- 21:55Speaker 1: and a lot of trust. But that's why you know,
- 21:57Speaker 1: I beginning at the season, the season with Joey, I
- 22:01Speaker 1: kind of said to him, like, the more open we
- 22:04Speaker 1: can be and involve Kelsey and make her feel part
- 22:08Speaker 1: of it, so there's nothing like hidden, I think, the
- 22:10Speaker 1: better like be part of this experience. So there doesn't
- 22:14Speaker 1: feel like there's this like hidden Oh what's going on?
- 22:17Speaker 1: And you know, the imagination goes to town, but like
- 22:21Speaker 1: be so proud to show her, so then she feels
- 22:24Speaker 1: proud and excited about it. So yeah, it's so hard
- 22:28Speaker 1: because I understand. I mean, we're kind of desensitized as
- 22:31Speaker 1: dancers to it because this is just our work and
- 22:33Speaker 1: we do this year after year with somebody and our
- 22:35Speaker 1: end goal is to make the best dance possible. There's
- 22:38Speaker 1: no other motive, right, So it is hard, and I
- 22:42Speaker 1: think this is the ultimate question that we guess get
- 22:45Speaker 1: asked all the time. But I'll let Joey speak after, like,
- 22:48Speaker 1: now having experienced it and understanding.
- 22:51Speaker 7: Yeah, what it takes, I think it's a really interesting
- 22:53Speaker 7: situation and something I knew coming in. As you said,
- 22:56Speaker 7: people have always talked about from the show. You spend
- 22:58Speaker 7: a lot of time with them, you get intimate and dances,
- 23:00Speaker 7: and it's like, how does that work with a relationship too,
- 23:03Speaker 7: And I'll be the first timuit that I'm still figuring
- 23:05Speaker 7: it out because I'm trying my best to be open
- 23:07Speaker 7: to share everything, like she said, but it still as
- 23:10Speaker 7: hard that I'm not able to be with Kelsey as
- 23:11Speaker 7: much as I would like to, because it's such a
- 23:13Speaker 7: time restriction that we're putting in. But yeah, she said
- 23:16Speaker 7: it perfectly. It's about being open, it's about talking through it.
- 23:19Speaker 7: Like every time I come home, Kelsey sees me so
- 23:21Speaker 7: excited about dance, and if I don't explain why I'm excited,
- 23:24Speaker 7: it can, as you said, imagination can run forever.
- 23:27Speaker 6: But I'm like, no, I'm just really stoked.
- 23:28Speaker 7: We smashed our dance today and I show her the
- 23:30Speaker 7: wide that we took in the video and being like,
- 23:32Speaker 7: this is what it's looking like.
- 23:33Speaker 6: Now.
- 23:33Speaker 7: We worked on this today, and I need to work
- 23:35Speaker 7: on this and that. And sometimes they'll pick her up
- 23:37Speaker 7: and I'll do the dance with her so like she
- 23:38Speaker 7: can feel what it's like, and it's just that kind
- 23:41Speaker 7: of stuff. I think the hardest part about this, truthfully
- 23:44Speaker 7: is ignoring the outside. It's just social media's turned to
- 23:49Speaker 7: its own beast nowadays, and it doesn't take anything other
- 23:52Speaker 7: than one person have a strong opinion and that can
- 23:54Speaker 7: go viral and that feels like it's everyone's opinion, but
- 23:57Speaker 7: it's not. It was just one person's. Yeah, really hard
- 24:00Speaker 7: to kind of separate and just know that we have
- 24:03Speaker 7: to be confident in what we're doing. We have to
- 24:05Speaker 7: be confident in what we are doing, and then we
- 24:06Speaker 7: have to let the outside be noise because we know
- 24:09Speaker 7: what we're doing and that's not easy to do. But
- 24:11Speaker 7: we're trying our best and just each week trying to
- 24:14Speaker 7: get more confidence in it because we feel.
- 24:16Speaker 6: Great where we're at, and I know I'm great where
- 24:17Speaker 6: I'm at with Kelsey.
- 24:18Speaker 5: Yeah, I feel like when I was on the show,
- 24:20Speaker 5: there wasn't TikTok so that that in itself is its
- 24:24Speaker 5: own beast.
- 24:25Speaker 4: Yeah, in my mind, I thought you meant dancing. I
- 24:27Speaker 4: was like, what did you do?
- 24:30Speaker 6: It's a short.
- 24:31Speaker 5: Stint, but it is like such its own because you're right.
- 24:35Speaker 5: It's like one person has a video goes viral and
- 24:38Speaker 5: then other people are like, hmmm, it's almost like.
- 24:40Speaker 2: A thought starter, which is not fair.
- 24:43Speaker 5: And Kelsey's handled I am such a Kelsey fan, like
- 24:47Speaker 5: me too on the show. I know, I know, but
- 24:49Speaker 5: like when she was on the show, I just like
- 24:51Speaker 5: love her and she's handled everything with so much grace
- 24:54Speaker 5: and humor and honesty and vulnerability. And I saw like
- 24:58Speaker 5: a video where someone said that but something was off
- 25:01Speaker 5: and She's like it was a hard time because it
- 25:03Speaker 5: was dedication night and it made me think of my
- 25:05Speaker 5: mom and it's like, no one knows what anyone's going in.
- 25:08Speaker 5: It's such an unfair like, it's so unfair that people
- 25:13Speaker 5: get to have that voice.
- 25:15Speaker 6: Yeah, it's a glimpse.
- 25:16Speaker 7: They get glimpses and then they make assumptions and majority
- 25:20Speaker 7: of the time it's going to be positive. But it
- 25:21Speaker 7: only takes one to kind of trigger what could be
- 25:25Speaker 7: a bigger.
- 25:25Speaker 6: And not real problem. But yeah, it's again, it's all
- 25:29Speaker 6: new for us.
- 25:30Speaker 7: People also need to forget that, need to not forget
- 25:32Speaker 7: that we came out of this in March of last year,
- 25:35Speaker 7: like we are not used to being a public couple.
- 25:38Speaker 6: We were living normal lives.
- 25:39Speaker 7: And I was more prepared than she was because, as
- 25:42Speaker 7: you know, going on the Bachelor, like you go in
- 25:45Speaker 7: just being like this is gonna be the experience of
- 25:46Speaker 7: a lifetime. I hope I find something out of this.
- 25:49Speaker 7: You don't expect to end up with the person. You
- 25:51Speaker 7: don't put that in your head of what my life
- 25:53Speaker 7: is going to change, Like she never I think when
- 25:55Speaker 7: she did that, I thought she would move to la
- 25:57Speaker 7: and have to be in the crowd every week on
- 25:58Speaker 7: Dancing with the Stars and dealing with all of this,
- 26:00Speaker 7: so it's all new. It is a process, but she's
- 26:04Speaker 7: been amazing and I'm trying my best to help because
- 26:07Speaker 7: that's all I really can do.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Yeah, I think at the end of the day too,
- 26:09Speaker 3: people forget that, like we're all humans, you know what
- 26:12Speaker 3: I mean. It's like, I guess when you're you know,
- 26:14Speaker 3: watching Dancing with the Stars, you're like, oh, it's a
- 26:16Speaker 3: TV show. It's not it's not reality. It's like these
- 26:18Speaker 3: are characters. And I think at the end of the day,
- 26:20Speaker 3: it's like we're all human and like going through these things.
- 26:23Speaker 3: And I it's so interesting that you said put myself
- 26:25Speaker 3: in someone else's shoes, because you don't really do that,
- 26:28Speaker 3: especially when you're like watching a show or anything like that.
- 26:31Speaker 3: And at the end of the day, like we are
- 26:33Speaker 3: just navigating relationships, and like you said, you guys are
- 26:36Speaker 3: so new that it's like you're just navigating starting a
- 26:39Speaker 3: relationship and then being thrown into these like unreal situations,
- 26:45Speaker 3: you know what I mean. So it's like we're all
- 26:47Speaker 3: everyone's just like doing the best that they can and
- 26:49Speaker 3: like it's.
- 26:50Speaker 1: It's funny because even after like five years of marriage
- 26:53Speaker 1: and almost eight years of being together THATLL and I
- 26:55Speaker 1: still get that. Like recently we got bombarded with all
- 26:58Speaker 1: of these comments because Val hasn't posted about me lately. Right,
- 27:02Speaker 1: people are like, heaven forbid?
- 27:04Speaker 2: Is everything okay?
- 27:06Speaker 1: And I'm like, we are both full time working, we
- 27:09Speaker 1: are in week six of Dancing with the Stars, we're
- 27:11Speaker 1: also parents. We also want time for each other. Like
- 27:15Speaker 1: sorry that our first thought is not to post about
- 27:18Speaker 1: each other everything on social media. So it's you know what,
- 27:21Speaker 1: it's always going to be part of unfortunately, of your
- 27:23Speaker 1: relationship when you're in the public eye. But it's I
- 27:28Speaker 1: love a secure couple, like I love a secure woman.
- 27:31Speaker 1: So like good for Kelsey. I love that she's outspoken
- 27:33Speaker 1: about it. We need more people like that in relationships.
- 27:37Speaker 1: So it's because it is, It's true.
- 27:38Speaker 3: It's like a lot of people just put on this
- 27:39Speaker 3: facade and the like, you know, you don't really like
- 27:43Speaker 3: it's not they don't see the human side of it.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Yeah, because it's so human. I was gonna ask if
- 27:47Speaker 2: roles were reversed and let's say Kelsey was with.
- 27:51Speaker 5: Gleb oh Gleb, how would you how would you handle that?
- 27:57Speaker 7: I think I've said this with Jenna too, and I'm
- 28:00Speaker 7: the first to admit I don't know, Like that's the
- 28:02Speaker 7: first thing I will always say, because I can't put
- 28:04Speaker 7: myself in that situation, and I can always try to
- 28:06Speaker 7: be in someone else's shoes, but I don't know what
- 28:07Speaker 7: Kelsey's actually feeling because I've never done it, so.
- 28:09Speaker 6: I need to first start with that.
- 28:11Speaker 7: But I would love to think that I would be
- 28:12Speaker 7: a really big supporter because I love seeing Kelsey succeed,
- 28:16Speaker 7: Like it's one of my favorite things to see how
- 28:18Speaker 7: excited she gets about stuff. So when I would picture it,
- 28:21Speaker 7: I would think about how much she'd be enjoying the process.
- 28:23Speaker 7: I would be the first one wanting to try to
- 28:25Speaker 7: be there on the sidelines and cheering and trying to
- 28:27Speaker 7: find ways to kind of boost her and make her feel.
- 28:29Speaker 6: Confident what she's doing. But I don't know.
- 28:31Speaker 7: I can't I can't put myself in that role. I
- 28:33Speaker 7: just hope that I would be able to be as
- 28:35Speaker 7: supportive as she's been to me.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Jennah, this is why you missed one of the greatest
- 28:38Speaker 2: seasons of the Bachelor.
- 28:40Speaker 1: I already know that he would like be so supportive
- 28:42Speaker 1: and love seeing her succeed like that at the end
- 28:45Speaker 1: of the day is what it's about. And yeah, I
- 28:46Speaker 1: could see you know.
- 28:47Speaker 3: So Okay, I don't even know if you remember this,
- 28:49Speaker 3: but before you were the Bachelor, I met you at
- 28:52Speaker 3: a Jonahs Brother's concert, okay, okay, and so I remember,
- 28:57Speaker 3: like the ABC publicists were there and they introduced me
- 28:59Speaker 3: to you, and I hadn't watched The Bachelor a bauchel
- 29:01Speaker 3: arette and like, I don't I don't know at that point,
- 29:04Speaker 3: so I didn't know that you were the Bachelor, and
- 29:06Speaker 3: they were like, oh, this is the Bachelor. So I
- 29:08Speaker 3: started talking to you and I was like, oh my gosh,
- 29:10Speaker 3: Like within like that ten minute conversation, I was like
- 29:12Speaker 3: I love this guy. And I was there with one
- 29:14Speaker 3: of my girlfriends, and I was like, you need to
- 29:16Speaker 3: go talk to him like he's single, like he's about
- 29:18Speaker 3: to say the Bachelor, like he hasn't feeled it yet.
- 29:27Speaker 7: It was That was actually really funny because that Jonah's
- 29:30Speaker 7: brother concert was like the first time I was able
- 29:32Speaker 7: to do stuff a little bit in public, because you
- 29:35Speaker 7: know how before you go on, they like try to
- 29:37Speaker 7: protect you and they pretty much told me not to
- 29:39Speaker 7: do anything like I was in Hawaii when I was
- 29:41Speaker 7: first starting, and then I went to my sister's place
- 29:43Speaker 7: in a Philly area and I was just really just
- 29:46Speaker 7: spending time with family and friends and not going out.
- 29:48Speaker 7: So that Jonah's brother was the first time I was
- 29:50Speaker 7: like intermingling with other people. And the amount of people
- 29:52Speaker 7: that came up that were still trying to get on
- 29:54Speaker 7: that season was actually hystair, but like.
- 29:56Speaker 6: I got at least like it's never happened. I got
- 29:58Speaker 6: like six to eight passes.
- 29:59Speaker 7: They're like, so like, if you were not going to
- 30:01Speaker 7: do the season, do you want to meet my friend?
- 30:03Speaker 7: I'm like, okay, this is happening now, Okay.
- 30:07Speaker 6: I know.
- 30:08Speaker 4: It was like literally within ten minutes of talking to you.
- 30:10Speaker 6: I appreciate that.
- 30:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I just got like good vibes, good, like good
- 30:14Speaker 3: just like solid human from you.
- 30:16Speaker 6: I appreciate. It's the best compment I can get.
- 30:18Speaker 5: Yeah, I want to talk about wedding planning. Mm hmmm,
- 30:38Speaker 5: because Tonya is in the midst of wedding planning and
- 30:41Speaker 5: I wanted to see where where y'all are are their updates,
- 30:44Speaker 5: What's what's the plan?
- 30:46Speaker 7: Yeah, I think it's updating every day kind of still
- 30:49Speaker 7: because we're trying to knock out little goals each time,
- 30:52Speaker 7: and our first goal is definitely figuring out where we
- 30:55Speaker 7: want to live, which sounds like the craziest thing to say,
- 30:57Speaker 7: but we just haven't had the ability to. We first,
- 31:00Speaker 7: we're coming off the show. Kelsey had a place that
- 31:03Speaker 7: she was staying at in New Orleans, and it just
- 31:06Speaker 7: made the most sense for me to kind of still
- 31:08Speaker 7: be where I was at in Philly, but come and
- 31:09Speaker 7: spend as much time with her as possible. She was
- 31:11Speaker 7: finishing our lease and we knew we were gonna go
- 31:13Speaker 7: somewhere after. But then I also knew at that time
- 31:15Speaker 7: getting off The Bachelor, that dancing was gonna be a possibility.
- 31:17Speaker 6: So I was like, Kelse, I.
- 31:18Speaker 7: Don't think we can probably lock down a place because
- 31:21Speaker 7: we might have to go temporarily be in LA for
- 31:23Speaker 7: a little bit. And we thought we were gonna go
- 31:25Speaker 7: to New York, but then she's like, maybe i'd be
- 31:26Speaker 7: open to LA. I was like, well, perfect, We'll come
- 31:28Speaker 7: here for dancing and see what that's going.
- 31:29Speaker 6: To be like.
- 31:30Speaker 7: And all of this is just still built to the
- 31:32Speaker 7: point of Okay, now we might want to stay in LA,
- 31:35Speaker 7: and I think that's our first goal is. I think
- 31:37Speaker 7: we are going to stay in la I think we're
- 31:38Speaker 7: gonna go a place as soon as we finally have
- 31:40Speaker 7: our first official place together. Then we're gonna start figuring
- 31:44Speaker 7: out what we want to do with wedding, because it's
- 31:45Speaker 7: just so hard to decide where you're going to have
- 31:48Speaker 7: it if you don't even know where you're living and
- 31:50Speaker 7: what you're doing.
- 31:50Speaker 6: At the time.
- 31:51Speaker 7: And I know that sounds crazy to say o loud,
- 31:53Speaker 7: but I think people forget how wild it is when
- 31:55Speaker 7: you get off the Bachelor and how you just you
- 31:57Speaker 7: got to figure out small life things before. And that's
- 32:00Speaker 7: why I said from the beginning I wanted a long
- 32:02Speaker 7: engagement because I knew. I just knew that it was
- 32:05Speaker 7: going to be chaotic, and if I tried to make
- 32:07Speaker 7: promises like we're going to pick a date at this
- 32:08Speaker 7: time or do this, it was just going to be
- 32:10Speaker 7: met with disappointment.
- 32:11Speaker 6: And I didn't want that to be the case.
- 32:13Speaker 7: I wanted to enjoy the planning process, and we just
- 32:16Speaker 7: haven't had the time to enjoy it just quite yet.
- 32:18Speaker 2: Well it's only been it hasn't even been a year.
- 32:20Speaker 7: We are past the year where we met each other. Yeah,
- 32:23Speaker 7: when we met but we got engaged on November twelfth.
- 32:27Speaker 2: Okay, so we're getting close to the year.
- 32:30Speaker 6: I know, is that crazy?
- 32:31Speaker 2: We'll have you back in like a year.
- 32:33Speaker 7: Is the easiest date ever to remember because it's eleven twelve,
- 32:37Speaker 7: twenty three.
- 32:38Speaker 4: Woah, that's cute.
- 32:40Speaker 6: We added together in twenty days.
- 32:44Speaker 3: Forget peasure of the dates too, Like it's so funny.
- 32:47Speaker 3: You don't even realize this stuff when you're like wedding planning.
- 32:49Speaker 3: But I'm like I had a friend who like really
- 32:51Speaker 3: wanted to get rid of like nine to nineteen nineteen
- 32:53Speaker 3: ninety nine or not n sorry, nine nineteen twenty nineteen, okay,
- 32:59Speaker 3: And like there's so much pressure on like the date,
- 33:00Speaker 3: and then you're like, oh my gosh, like I don't
- 33:02Speaker 3: that's like the last thing that I thought about.
- 33:04Speaker 1: You know what I mean, Like you know, well, we
- 33:05Speaker 1: were just talking about like venues and stuff before this,
- 33:07Speaker 1: and we wanted this venue so bad, and we had
- 33:12Speaker 1: a date that I was it was like perfect, it
- 33:13Speaker 1: was the perfect date, and then it fell through and
- 33:16Speaker 1: the only day they had available was the day after
- 33:19Speaker 1: my birthday and I was like, I am not sharing
- 33:22Speaker 1: my wedding anniversary with my birthday. That's just like an
- 33:25Speaker 1: easy out for.
- 33:25Speaker 4: You, and I thought, that's you didn't do that right.
- 33:27Speaker 1: We did it, and I actually kind of love it.
- 33:30Speaker 1: It's a great sealimtory weekend.
- 33:33Speaker 4: I was so but listen, I.
- 33:35Speaker 6: Was so pissed.
- 33:36Speaker 4: I was like, it can't be this close to my birthday.
- 33:38Speaker 1: I was so mad. But then it was so cute
- 33:40Speaker 1: because we had like a birthday dinner, our rehearsal dinner
- 33:43Speaker 1: for me, and then it was our wedding and that
- 33:47Speaker 1: was just like such a special time. But there's a
- 33:49Speaker 1: lot of pressure and I was like, how could I
- 33:50Speaker 1: have four twelve and four thirteen next to each other
- 33:54Speaker 1: for the rest of my life?
- 33:57Speaker 7: Yeah, I'll be honest, I just want a date I
- 33:59Speaker 7: can remember. That's true that I am the worsted dates.
- 34:05Speaker 7: And I was just so excited that when I found out, like, no,
- 34:08Speaker 7: I can, I can do this like eleven plus twelve
- 34:10Speaker 7: egles twenty three. I'm like, I got that one. So
- 34:12Speaker 7: WA just going to try to find date that I
- 34:15Speaker 7: can remember so I don't miss the flowers in the
- 34:17Speaker 7: car and the gates.
- 34:19Speaker 6: I just need I need that. So that's the that's
- 34:21Speaker 6: the idea for me.
- 34:22Speaker 2: You should just keep that as the date, like y'all
- 34:24Speaker 2: just do everything on that date.
- 34:26Speaker 7: No, because then I'm sure she'll have the same reaction
- 34:28Speaker 7: that Jenna did. And she needs multiple days. I can't
- 34:31Speaker 7: combine them, so I'm probably gonna have to find another
- 34:34Speaker 7: one that I can remember.
- 34:36Speaker 2: It's more pressure for Valve than anywhere, double double.
- 34:41Speaker 1: Tade every year since Wow, She's great?
- 34:44Speaker 2: What has it been like dancing with Gin?
- 34:47Speaker 5: And can you share anything about Gin and Sasha because
- 34:50Speaker 5: I am rooting for them romantically, but I really just
- 34:53Speaker 5: find myself rooting for her happy, like I think after
- 34:56Speaker 5: I think there's something about watching what she went through
- 34:59Speaker 5: on being ab that felt so devastating and I felt
- 35:02Speaker 5: mad for her that seeing her thrive and find this
- 35:06Speaker 5: like confidence and joy on Dance with the Stars has
- 35:09Speaker 5: been so beautiful. But I am feeling nosy.
- 35:12Speaker 6: Yeah, I get the nosey part.
- 35:13Speaker 7: I think a lot of people are knows you on
- 35:14Speaker 7: that one. We can be the first to explain that
- 35:16Speaker 7: we do not know as much as we as much
- 35:19Speaker 7: as we intermingle with all the different couples on the show,
- 35:22Speaker 7: it's like it's impossible to really like, we're not going
- 35:24Speaker 7: to ask those type of questions as much.
- 35:27Speaker 6: As you see, we see different. Yeah, how you shifting
- 35:32Speaker 6: it right now? Hey?
- 35:34Speaker 7: But as you said, for Jen, for her being on
- 35:36Speaker 7: the season, what we've always said and what I keep
- 35:39Speaker 7: focusing on is the fact of, like, that's so hard
- 35:41Speaker 7: to have what happened to her. That was my biggest
- 35:43Speaker 7: fear of being on the show is something not only
- 35:46Speaker 7: not working out, but then all the stuff that comes
- 35:48Speaker 7: along with it. And then I really i know from experienced,
- 35:52Speaker 7: like when you get off, you just sit in all
- 35:54Speaker 7: of your fields. Even when it works out, you think
- 35:56Speaker 7: about everything, you have so much time you're coming out
- 35:59Speaker 7: of the six experience that it's really hard, even when
- 36:02Speaker 7: it goes well, to like get yourself back to reality.
- 36:05Speaker 7: And this was probably the perfect thing for her, just
- 36:07Speaker 7: to dive into something else, because you just need something
- 36:10Speaker 7: to do, You need something to distract, you need something
- 36:13Speaker 7: to get you excited about. And from experience a dancer
- 36:16Speaker 7: with the stars, it really isn't a better experience to
- 36:17Speaker 7: just dive into and have so much fun with. So
- 36:20Speaker 7: I'm so grateful she gets this, and I'm grateful that's
- 36:22Speaker 7: been going well for her, And as you can tell.
- 36:25Speaker 1: She like really loves it and enjoying it and like
- 36:27Speaker 1: you see her like thriving, which I think is especial
- 36:30Speaker 1: after coming off the season.
- 36:31Speaker 4: It's amazing.
- 36:32Speaker 2: It's like, so it's so empowered. You'll really have such
- 36:35Speaker 2: a great cast of people this year.
- 36:36Speaker 1: It's awesome.
- 36:37Speaker 3: Maybe you could like set up like a nice little
- 36:41Speaker 3: romantic picnic or something for that, like.
- 36:48Speaker 4: A candle and a candle.
- 36:53Speaker 6: Pick, and we'll write a card from all four of
- 36:55Speaker 6: the US.
- 36:55Speaker 7: This was just we talked about on the podcast.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Yeah, it's simple.
- 37:02Speaker 5: Are you watching Have you had time to watch Golden Bachelorette?
- 37:05Speaker 7: Are you watching gold She's a mom, She's just like
- 37:08Speaker 7: she can't watch my season.
- 37:13Speaker 6: Because I'm helping you. So you don't even have to
- 37:14Speaker 6: say it's not wrong.
- 37:16Speaker 1: I am a mom. So when I get home, I'm
- 37:18Speaker 1: like doing bad time and bedtime and then.
- 37:21Speaker 6: And then you plan stuff for me. I'm a child.
- 37:24Speaker 4: I'm sure you watched T television right now?
- 37:27Speaker 3: No?
- 37:28Speaker 1: Really, not well No, I am like so focused on
- 37:32Speaker 1: what's at hand of the week or next week.
- 37:34Speaker 3: I imagine how much time we would all have in
- 37:37Speaker 3: our days if we didn't watch any TV.
- 37:39Speaker 4: Like I think about that often actually.
- 37:42Speaker 1: With my son. That's about it.
- 37:45Speaker 2: That's a good one, though it could be worse.
- 37:47Speaker 7: I think people forget how much like they always talk
- 37:49Speaker 7: about how tough it is on the celebrities, how much
- 37:51Speaker 7: time they have to put in, but no one actually
- 37:53Speaker 7: thinks about the pros too, because not only are they
- 37:55Speaker 7: putting in the exact amount of time, but they also
- 37:57Speaker 7: have to plan a course. Yeah, they have to do
- 38:00Speaker 7: extra practices because they have opening numbers.
- 38:03Speaker 6: Like her schedule is ridiculous.
- 38:05Speaker 7: That I'm shocked she doesn't have time to do all
- 38:08Speaker 7: the other things she does, So I don't take it personally.
- 38:10Speaker 5: That's but your future father in law went home last
- 38:17Speaker 5: night and I was so sad.
- 38:20Speaker 2: But does could there be a Golden Bachelor opportunity?
- 38:25Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 38:25Speaker 7: Possibly, I think there always is a chance, you know
- 38:27Speaker 7: how it works. They take time to kind of make
- 38:29Speaker 7: that decision. And I think now that everyone knows that
- 38:32Speaker 7: Mark isn't with Joan, people are rooting for him, as
- 38:35Speaker 7: they should because he's just an amazing man. But yeah,
- 38:38Speaker 7: I think what I take from that experience for him
- 38:41Speaker 7: is he talked about in the most eloquent way possible
- 38:44Speaker 7: because it's Mark. It's just like he gained so much
- 38:46Speaker 7: from this and he was so grateful, and I think
- 38:48Speaker 7: it did more for him than he could have imagined.
- 38:50Speaker 7: And I think he's ready to, as he said, like
- 38:52Speaker 7: kind of start his life again and really push himself
- 38:54Speaker 7: to be open to finding someone and just keep having
- 38:57Speaker 7: amazing experiences what that show does. So I'm rooting for
- 39:01Speaker 7: him whatever that means, if it's another opportunity with the show,
- 39:03Speaker 7: if it's just him putting himself out there and finding
- 39:05Speaker 7: someone and starting to go on dates and hopefully finding
- 39:08Speaker 7: someone to spend more time with.
- 39:10Speaker 3: So what a crazy thing though, to be able to
- 39:12Speaker 3: experience something that your daughter went through, like your future.
- 39:19Speaker 4: Yeah, it's just so crazy.
- 39:21Speaker 1: She was the Golden Bachelor. You'd give him all would.
- 39:26Speaker 4: I would they need to do this.
- 39:28Speaker 7: I would request to be like his assistant, like I
- 39:31Speaker 7: would go on it with him and I would sit
- 39:33Speaker 7: with him and just make sure someone was protecting him
- 39:36Speaker 7: in all.
- 39:36Speaker 6: Foss because he just it's a crazy experience.
- 39:39Speaker 7: And I know they do such a great job, but
- 39:41Speaker 7: the golden side of the franchise is keeping it very wholesome.
- 39:44Speaker 7: So I would be all supportive of it if they
- 39:46Speaker 7: did choose to, But I'll do whatever Mark wants to do.
- 39:49Speaker 7: Because that man deserves the world. So whatever he does,
- 39:51Speaker 7: I'm going to support it.
- 39:52Speaker 2: He's precious.
- 39:53Speaker 6: No, he's the best.
- 39:54Speaker 3: I do want to talk, though, Jenna, about your schedule
- 39:56Speaker 3: because I think that, No, I think that like a mom,
- 40:00Speaker 3: Like you're women now, like we're multifaceted, we're hype.
- 40:04Speaker 4: What's it called hyper? What's the multi hyphen its? Thank
- 40:07Speaker 4: you so much?
- 40:08Speaker 3: So it's like you are You're a you're working, you're working,
- 40:12Speaker 3: you're a mom, you're a friend, you're this, you're a wife,
- 40:15Speaker 3: Like you have all of these things on your plate.
- 40:17Speaker 3: Like what does I don't want to say an average
- 40:19Speaker 3: day look like, because I guess every day of the
- 40:21Speaker 3: week is probably different, but like, yeah, give us like
- 40:23Speaker 3: one of your busiest.
- 40:24Speaker 4: Days, Like what that kind of looks like today?
- 40:27Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 40:27Speaker 4: Yeah, today that works.
- 40:29Speaker 1: So today's unique. But today started at five forty five.
- 40:32Speaker 1: I had glam, we did press, we did KTLA this morning.
- 40:35Speaker 1: Then we're obviously doing this wonderful podcast. We have like
- 40:38Speaker 1: an hour and then we head straight to our own
- 40:41Speaker 1: individual rehearsal, which is one to five, and then we
- 40:44Speaker 1: are actually shooting something for our package next week, which
- 40:48Speaker 1: is a cute little double date. Uh, with me, Val
- 40:51Speaker 1: Kelsey and Joey. So we're shooting something for that and
- 40:55Speaker 1: that's going to be after rehearsal, which is probably like
- 40:56Speaker 1: six to nine. All while, like my son woke up
- 41:00Speaker 1: at seven, I have to give him his bottle, you know,
- 41:03Speaker 1: get him out of bed. I want to make sure
- 41:04Speaker 1: that I'm always the person to do that or put
- 41:06Speaker 1: him to bed. So it's just crazy. But then I'm
- 41:08Speaker 1: also having to do fittings, zoom call, creative zoom calls,
- 41:13Speaker 1: we do interviews. It's just nuts us, absolutely nuts. But
- 41:18Speaker 1: and like I feel like my family sometimes they know
- 41:21Speaker 1: not to really text or call me and take it
- 41:23Speaker 1: offensively if I don't answer while I'm in season, because
- 41:27Speaker 1: I just it's hard to keep up.
- 41:29Speaker 3: Yeah, And like.
- 41:30Speaker 1: Sometimes I won't respond to Joey's text if he texts
- 41:33Speaker 1: me at night, and then I'll like look at my
- 41:35Speaker 1: phone and it's ten pm and I'm like, oh my gosh,
- 41:37Speaker 1: I'm so sorry I didn't see this that I was
- 41:38Speaker 1: putting room to bed or i was doing bath time.
- 41:40Speaker 1: So it's a lot to like try to feel like
- 41:44Speaker 1: myself and not like I'm spread too thin. But I'm
- 41:48Speaker 1: also so proud that I can do all of these
- 41:50Speaker 1: things and feel like I'm giving myself to all of
- 41:54Speaker 1: them because I love I love what I do. I
- 41:56Speaker 1: love working, I love choreographing, I love dancing, I love
- 42:00Speaker 1: being a mom, I love being a WiFi. I can
- 42:02Speaker 1: be so much better, but it's it's it's hard in
- 42:05Speaker 1: these three months. It's like a little bubble that I
- 42:07Speaker 1: just have to prepare myself, like this is going to
- 42:09Speaker 1: be insanity, but you can do it, and then it's
- 42:12Speaker 1: going to be Christmas. So yeah, I really enjoyed to say.
- 42:15Speaker 3: You're an inspiration, like honestly, because I do think, like
- 42:18Speaker 3: you know, I think that as women, we do have
- 42:20Speaker 3: all of these wants, you know, like I don't have
- 42:22Speaker 3: a kid of my own.
- 42:23Speaker 4: I want very soon.
- 42:25Speaker 3: But it's like that is another thing that's like scary
- 42:27Speaker 3: because it's like I don't know what that means for
- 42:29Speaker 3: like my professional life, and like you know what I mean,
- 42:31Speaker 3: it's like it's like this weird little dance that we
- 42:33Speaker 3: have to do, and so it's.
- 42:34Speaker 1: You can do it, I'll see. Yeah, it's from what
- 42:36Speaker 1: I've like, it's hard and sometimes uncomfortable and you have
- 42:38Speaker 1: to overplan. But I knew going into motherhood that I
- 42:43Speaker 1: wanted to still work, and that was really part of
- 42:45Speaker 1: my identity and something that gave me so much happiness.
- 42:48Speaker 1: So I always know i'd be a working mom, but
- 42:50Speaker 1: I've learned that you're able to accomplish so much and
- 42:53Speaker 1: somehow you have energy to do it. I don't know how,
- 42:56Speaker 1: because I don't. I really feel like I don't sleeve
- 42:58Speaker 1: a ton, but it makes all of these moments so fulfilling,
- 43:02Speaker 1: and I feel like I'm so much more present in
- 43:04Speaker 1: life in all aspects because I really know, like I
- 43:07Speaker 1: don't want to take this for granted. I'm so grateful
- 43:09Speaker 1: to have it. So, yeah, what is it?
- 43:11Speaker 5: What is your life when you're not on like when
- 43:13Speaker 5: this when Dancing with the Stars isn't airing or being
- 43:16Speaker 5: filmed or whatever.
- 43:17Speaker 2: What does life look like for you?
- 43:18Speaker 1: It's a lot more chill.
- 43:21Speaker 5: No.
- 43:21Speaker 1: My husband and I, you know, we we have different
- 43:23Speaker 1: things that we do. We also work for like conventions,
- 43:26Speaker 1: so we teach on the weekends. We're constantly traveling. We'll
- 43:29Speaker 1: do gigs here and there. We've done the Dancing with
- 43:30Speaker 1: the Stars tour, which is another beast. So yeah, it's
- 43:35Speaker 1: it's a lot different and we kind of get to
- 43:36Speaker 1: determine our own schedule, which is nice. So I think
- 43:39Speaker 1: that's why we we have the stamina to get through
- 43:41Speaker 1: these three months, because we know it's a bit more
- 43:43Speaker 1: chill once we're out of it.
- 43:46Speaker 5: It's it's incredible that schedule just gave me so much stress.
- 43:49Speaker 5: I thought about the few errands I have to run
- 43:51Speaker 5: today and I was like.
- 43:53Speaker 4: The box and home goods today.
- 43:58Speaker 2: Relax.
- 44:00Speaker 6: Wait.
- 44:01Speaker 5: So I had a question about the songs. Do they
- 44:03Speaker 5: give you the songs or do you get to choose
- 44:05Speaker 5: the songs, Like as you're creating the dance, is it
- 44:08Speaker 5: like you choose the song?
- 44:10Speaker 2: How does that work?
- 44:10Speaker 6: It's kind of a mix.
- 44:12Speaker 1: It's it kind of depends on what the theme is
- 44:14Speaker 1: that we bring in a theme.
- 44:16Speaker 7: And then I remember when I first came on, they
- 44:18Speaker 7: like talked about some of the themes they had and
- 44:20Speaker 7: they're like, give us some ideas of like songs you
- 44:22Speaker 7: would like to do along with it. But it never
- 44:25Speaker 7: like works out perfectly. You can't just be like I
- 44:27Speaker 7: want to do Taylor Swift every week, like this doesn't happen.
- 44:30Speaker 7: You have to make sure it fits and then you
- 44:32Speaker 7: have to kind of find out a way to make
- 44:34Speaker 7: it meaningful. To you what we love so far, I
- 44:37Speaker 7: mean feel really good about the first like.
- 44:39Speaker 6: Five songs we've done.
- 44:40Speaker 7: Is we've wanted it to be powerful, each one to
- 44:42Speaker 7: have something, and it's hard because it's I don't know.
- 44:45Speaker 7: It's like when someone asks you, like, what's your favorite song,
- 44:48Speaker 7: Like that's so hard to come up with. It's the
- 44:50Speaker 7: same thing when you ask for like a theme. It's
- 44:51Speaker 7: just you got to find something that not only means
- 44:54Speaker 7: a lot to you, but then you feel like it's
- 44:55Speaker 7: gonna be powerful. I feel strong that she's gonna be
- 44:58Speaker 7: able to make good choreography to that. That's where she
- 45:00Speaker 7: comes in the most.
- 45:04Speaker 1: So if it's if you say something good, you do that, yeah,
- 45:07Speaker 1: so I don't think so, I know it's a weird thing.
- 45:09Speaker 4: And if you knock on your forehead and you say, what.
- 45:13Speaker 3: I almost started doing that, there you go at least day.
- 45:19Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 45:20Speaker 1: Yeah, it really depends well. Also, and you have to
- 45:22Speaker 1: do a different style each week. Yes, so you want
- 45:26Speaker 1: to do a song that you love that fits within
- 45:28Speaker 1: the theme, but then you have to do a different
- 45:30Speaker 1: genre of like we have to do a fox drop
- 45:32Speaker 1: or a tango or a Latin style. So it is
- 45:36Speaker 1: hard to find that something that fits all of those boxes.
- 45:39Speaker 1: But we've we've been able to.
- 45:40Speaker 6: Do that so far.
- 45:41Speaker 3: It so far.
- 45:41Speaker 7: Yeah, I feel great about it, and it's it's just
- 45:44Speaker 7: it's a part of the whole process of trying to
- 45:46Speaker 7: make sure it all works out too.
- 45:47Speaker 6: But it's mostly her. I just listen to what she says.
- 45:50Speaker 2: What are you working on right now with dance?
- 45:52Speaker 6: Well, we have Disney Night coming up, so it's gonna
- 45:55Speaker 6: be a fun one.
- 45:56Speaker 7: We can't say exactly yet what song it is and
- 45:58Speaker 7: what movie, but I don't think we can.
- 46:02Speaker 6: When does it get announced?
- 46:03Speaker 2: The color dress you wear?
- 46:08Speaker 6: I will be shirtless, that's what we can say. Yeah,
- 46:11Speaker 6: I'll be shirtless and I'll be wearing a wig. Have
- 46:13Speaker 6: you been two together.
- 46:17Speaker 5: Over?
- 46:18Speaker 6: No, not a lot.
- 46:19Speaker 1: This is a full, a full shirtless moment, Tarzan. We
- 46:23Speaker 1: don't know.
- 46:24Speaker 2: How does it feel to bear it all like that?
- 46:29Speaker 4: Did you ever think?
- 46:31Speaker 5: No?
- 46:31Speaker 7: I'll bring him back to week one because it was
- 46:34Speaker 7: Jenna's brilliant idea. She's like, there's a moment in this
- 46:36Speaker 7: dance where you could definitely rip your shirt off.
- 46:38Speaker 1: I was like, what, we just met each other.
- 46:40Speaker 6: He was like, I don't know what.
- 46:41Speaker 7: I've never done that before She's like, no, it's great,
- 46:43Speaker 7: they'll put a girl on your shirt. You'll just take
- 46:45Speaker 7: it out and it'll be awesome. Like okay, like let's
- 46:48Speaker 7: try to find.
- 46:48Speaker 6: The time in it.
- 46:49Speaker 1: And then you were a meme everywhere.
- 46:52Speaker 7: It was a great idea. But the funny thing is
- 46:53Speaker 7: I didn't get a chance to practice that until that day.
- 46:56Speaker 6: Remember we did it like that.
- 46:58Speaker 7: I think it's time to finally just the shirt off
- 47:01Speaker 7: because you would like do like the action of it.
- 47:03Speaker 7: And then she's like, no, you're gonna need to bring
- 47:04Speaker 7: a shirt in that you can actually rip off.
- 47:07Speaker 6: And and then then that I was gonna say that was.
- 47:10Speaker 2: Kind of when I felt like we knew, like, oh,
- 47:12Speaker 2: Joey's gonna be in this competition.
- 47:14Speaker 1: He's like ready to embrace.
- 47:15Speaker 4: You're like here I am.
- 47:17Speaker 5: He's not just gonna get votes because everyone loves him,
- 47:20Speaker 5: They're gonna he's gonna get votes.
- 47:22Speaker 3: Yeah, when all this is said and done, when this
- 47:24Speaker 3: season is done, who are the people that you're going
- 47:26Speaker 3: to keep in touch with for me on besides each other?
- 47:30Speaker 7: Yeah, definitely, I honestly cannot wait to keep this friendship.
- 47:38Speaker 7: But she's the best her in vow, I hope I
- 47:40Speaker 7: get to be in their lives for the rest of
- 47:42Speaker 7: it because they are amazing.
- 47:44Speaker 6: Uh, Alona is the best.
- 47:46Speaker 3: I love.
- 47:47Speaker 7: Alona is everything you would imagine she is and more.
- 47:50Speaker 7: I will annoy her for the rest of my life
- 47:52Speaker 7: because I just love her. Honestly, A lot of the
- 47:55Speaker 7: other pros to Brandon, Alan, everyone everyone on the show
- 47:59Speaker 7: has been great, but yeah, the first one that comes
- 48:02Speaker 7: in my own mind is I just love a Loe.
- 48:04Speaker 4: We've grown a.
- 48:05Speaker 1: Weird connection with them, Like I feel like we're always
- 48:07Speaker 1: rehearsing at the same exact time, so they become our
- 48:10Speaker 1: rehearsal buddies where they'll come in Alan will help me
- 48:14Speaker 1: with showing Joey something, I'll help him with like a lift,
- 48:17Speaker 1: showing alone of something. So we've really created this awesome
- 48:19Speaker 1: like friendship and bond with them that has been Yeah, special.
- 48:23Speaker 7: It's been awesome and everyone this season it's just truthfully
- 48:25Speaker 7: going to be. It's the same thing with the Bachelor
- 48:28Speaker 7: stuff too, Like the longer you're in the competition, the
- 48:30Speaker 7: more time you spend with them.
- 48:32Speaker 6: So I don't know who we're.
- 48:33Speaker 7: Gonna get close with, because hopefully we're going to be
- 48:34Speaker 7: here for the long haul and those a gonna be
- 48:36Speaker 7: the people who are going to keep seeing So that's
- 48:38Speaker 7: just part of it.
- 48:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:39Speaker 2: I remember when I follow on Alona.
- 48:42Speaker 5: I saw I clicked on her profile and TikTok and
- 48:44Speaker 5: it said follow back, and I was like, star strug.
- 48:47Speaker 2: This was like when she first like went viral at
- 48:49Speaker 2: the Olympics.
- 48:50Speaker 4: Yes and follow her first?
- 48:53Speaker 6: Well, no, she wasn't the best feeling ever when you
- 48:56Speaker 6: see the.
- 48:59Speaker 2: Okay, I was stoked. So I hope she follows me.
- 49:07Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 49:09Speaker 1: They didn't follow you first?
- 49:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I hate it.
- 49:11Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, where can people follow you? Where can
- 49:16Speaker 2: people see what you're doing?
- 49:17Speaker 5: I feel like everyone's probably, I mean our listeners are
- 49:20Speaker 5: so I feel like this season specifically, people are like
- 49:22Speaker 5: obsessed this season specifically of Dancing with the Stars.
- 49:26Speaker 2: They're like all in, But where can people who may
- 49:29Speaker 2: not be following you back?
- 49:32Speaker 1: The obvious is they can tune in every Tuesday to
- 49:36Speaker 1: Dancing with the Stars and continue to vote Joey yes,
- 49:40Speaker 1: And then on socials, I'm at Jenna Johnson and I'm
- 49:43Speaker 1: at Joey easy peasy.
- 49:46Speaker 4: Thank you so much for.
- 49:51Speaker 2: Yeah, we love you, guys are rooting for you all
- 49:53Speaker 2: and hopefully the next time.
- 49:55Speaker 4: Good luck to Yeah, I'm so excited. I'm going to
- 50:01Speaker 4: start doing this all the time.

- 50:07Speaker 4: We're about to track our next podcast, so you watch out.

- 50:13Speaker 2: great time, because I would love to have her scrub it.
- 50:16Speaker 7: I guess we're going to be in l A, so
