- 0:00Speaker 1: Now this is the Mark Simon Show on seventen wo R. Well, hey,
- 0:10Speaker 1: it turned out to be a nice day. It's gonna
- 0:12Speaker 1: be a very nice a lot of fun today. It'll
- 0:14Speaker 1: be nice like that's tomorrow and then rain on Saturday
- 0:17Speaker 1: and not that. Man. Hey, we got a lot to
- 0:20Speaker 1: get to. We'll get to a crazy mom Donnie.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Uh.
- 0:22Speaker 1: These billionaires are banding together, and let's see how this
- 0:28Speaker 1: war turns out between them and him. And we'll get
- 0:31Speaker 1: to Iran. We'll get to Colbert leaving us, thank god.
- 0:35Speaker 1: And we'll get to Marco Rubio, he's on his way
- 0:38Speaker 1: to meet with the Pope as we speak. We'll get
- 0:41Speaker 1: to Jeffrey Epstein, Ted Turner and a whole lot more.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Iran will keep looking for that deal and let me
- 0:50Speaker 1: see your here's turn. Well.
- 0:53Speaker 3: I don't want to say that, but I mean people say,
- 0:56Speaker 3: why aren't they protesting? They want to protest, but they
- 0:59Speaker 3: don't have any guns. So you could have two hundred
- 1:02Speaker 3: thousand people protesting and have five or six sick people
- 1:05Speaker 3: with guns and when they start shooting them right between
- 1:08Speaker 3: the eyes.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Yeah, Well, I mean expecting the people to go out
- 1:12Speaker 1: there and take down this regime. That's a lot to
- 1:15Speaker 1: expect who's actually in control.
- 1:17Speaker 4: In the case of Iran, we're not going to let
- 1:19Speaker 4: Iran have a nuclear weapon, and we're not going to
- 1:22Speaker 4: let that happen, and we won't let that happen. And
- 1:26Speaker 4: so we're dealing with people that want to make a
- 1:29Speaker 4: deal very much, and we'll see whether or not they
- 1:31Speaker 4: can make a deal this satisfactory to us. We have
- 1:34Speaker 4: it very much under control.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, as they say, Iran loses every war and
- 1:40Speaker 1: wins every negotiation. Are pretty good at that, although they've
- 1:44Speaker 1: never been up against a real negotiator. It's usually those
- 1:47Speaker 1: State department idiots with the briefing books. Trump the master negotiator,
- 1:52Speaker 1: So this may take a little longer than expected, but
- 1:56Speaker 1: it'll get done. Also, Trump asked about the bull Now
- 2:00Speaker 1: he's talking about a billion dollars. The reason for that,
- 2:03Speaker 1: they've decided to as long as they're going to open
- 2:06Speaker 1: up the ground and do all that stuff to put
- 2:08Speaker 1: a lot of things under the ballroom, they need a
- 2:11Speaker 1: whole new underground bunker. There's one in the White House now,
- 2:14Speaker 1: but apparently it's very outdated, and there's all kinds of
- 2:20Speaker 1: new technology and new ways to make it more bomb proof, bulletproof,
- 2:24Speaker 1: all kinds of proof, so they want to do that. Also,
- 2:27Speaker 1: there's a White House doctor who's always there too. Sometimes
- 2:31Speaker 1: there's two doctors. There's a little medical center with a
- 2:34Speaker 1: little equipment in there. As long as they're going to
- 2:36Speaker 1: do all this, they want to put in a real
- 2:38Speaker 1: serious medical center in the White House. All kinds of
- 2:42Speaker 1: stuff to do under there. Now, the ballroom, it's going
- 2:45Speaker 1: to be a little more expensive than your average ballroom
- 2:47Speaker 1: because it's got to be bomb proof, bulletproof, drone proof,
- 2:50Speaker 1: all that stuff. Here's President Trump.
- 2:52Speaker 2: I usually have a glass that's about a quarter of
- 2:55Speaker 2: an inch thick.
- 2:56Speaker 4: This is about six inches thick.
- 2:59Speaker 2: This can repair a lot of different a lot of
- 3:02Speaker 2: different weapons. But it's going to be it's going to
- 3:05Speaker 2: be aside from being secure, it's going to be the
- 3:07Speaker 2: most I think it's going to be the most beautiful
- 3:09Speaker 2: balloever I built.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Yeah, well, probably will be. You know, millions of presidents
- 3:14Speaker 1: have been calling for this ballroom. They've all said they
- 3:16Speaker 1: need it. There's no question about that. If you're ever
- 3:19Speaker 1: going to build the ballroom, obviously it would make sense
- 3:23Speaker 1: to do it while in the White House. You got
- 3:25Speaker 1: the best ballroom builder in America in office. When's that
- 3:28Speaker 1: going to ever happen again? You mentioned Obama trying to
- 3:31Speaker 1: build something, or any other president a politician mentioned Joe
- 3:35Speaker 1: Biden trying to or even George w buts. These guys
- 3:37Speaker 1: aren't builders. They don't know how to you know, you know,
- 3:41Speaker 1: they fall for the every trick of every contractor. You
- 3:44Speaker 1: got the greatest builder in the world, the world expert
- 3:47Speaker 1: on building ballrooms. He's built them all over the world.
- 3:49Speaker 1: As long as he's there in office, let's get it done. Now.
- 3:53Speaker 1: He's going to take a while, you know, it's not
- 3:55Speaker 1: he's not really building it for himself. By the time
- 3:57Speaker 1: it's finished, he'll probably only have a few months to
- 4:00Speaker 1: use it. So it's really for other presidents. A pretty
- 4:03Speaker 1: good thing. The Epstein files, well there's a suicide note
- 4:07Speaker 1: now that has not been authenticated. Supposedly it's Jeffrey Epstein's
- 4:13Speaker 1: suicide note. The question is was it suicide or was
- 4:16Speaker 1: he killed that somebody strangle him. Well, there's a guy
- 4:20Speaker 1: in that prison who people always like to suspect was
- 4:24Speaker 1: the guy that did it. He's an ex cop who's
- 4:26Speaker 1: I think it was Epstein's cell made at one point,
- 4:29Speaker 1: but there a number of people online suspecting it was
- 4:33Speaker 1: him that might have killed Epstein. So there's a suicide note.
- 4:37Speaker 1: The problem is the guy that we're talking about, he's
- 4:39Speaker 1: the guy that found it. He's the guy that says
- 4:41Speaker 1: it's Epstein's suicide note. So do we trust this other prisoner?
- 4:45Speaker 1: I don't know? And where's it been all along? He said,
- 4:49Speaker 1: he knows he's being suspected of being the strangler. But
- 4:55Speaker 1: he said that's why he kept the note to prove
- 4:57Speaker 1: that it was suicide, to prove his innocence. Well, if
- 5:00Speaker 1: that's the case, why didn't he release it the next day?
- 5:03Speaker 1: Why was he hanging on to it?
- 5:04Speaker 2: Now?
- 5:05Speaker 1: You might see some stories where they say it's authenticated,
- 5:07Speaker 1: but if you read the sentence carefully, it said this
- 5:12Speaker 1: other guy's lawyers authenticated it. Well, that doesn't count. It
- 5:16Speaker 1: doesn't count. The police would have to actually authenticate it.
- 5:20Speaker 1: There's a couple of phrases in there, one where he says,
- 5:25Speaker 1: watch me, what do you want me to do? Burst
- 5:27Speaker 1: out crying? That phrase burst out crying. If you check
- 5:31Speaker 1: the Epstein files, he has used that phrase a few times.
- 5:36Speaker 1: So that's pretty interesting. He said. The note actually says,
- 5:40Speaker 1: so they investigated for a month, found nothing, so sixteen
- 5:45Speaker 1: year old charge results. It's a treat to be able
- 5:48Speaker 1: to choose one time one's time to say goodbye. And
- 5:52Speaker 1: then he says time to say goodbye. What you want
- 5:56Speaker 1: me to do? Burst out crying, no fun, not worth it.
- 5:59Speaker 1: So if this is authentic, it would indicate suicide. Epstein
- 6:04Speaker 1: was working on his legal case while he was in prison,
- 6:07Speaker 1: and the lawyers would come meet with him every day,
- 6:09Speaker 1: and they had met with him the day before and
- 6:11Speaker 1: they said he didn't seem like a guy about to
- 6:14Speaker 1: commit suicide. So if this turns out to be authentic,
- 6:17Speaker 1: then that it could be pretty much a proof that
- 6:21Speaker 1: it was suicide. But we'll see if they can authenticate it.
- 6:25Speaker 1: There's Epstein hearings going on and they brought in Howard
- 6:28Speaker 1: Lutnik to testify. Now, Howard Lutnik had no relationship at
- 6:32Speaker 1: all with Jeffrey Epstein. He bought a big townhouse in Manhattan.
- 6:36Speaker 1: It turned out the guy next door, the neighbor next door,
- 6:39Speaker 1: was Jeffrey Epstein. That's how they met once or twice
- 6:42Speaker 1: at one time, since they were next door neighbors. Epstein said,
- 6:47Speaker 1: let me give you a to her. My house, and
- 6:48Speaker 1: they led him through the house and they thought it
- 6:50Speaker 1: was kind of tacky and creepy, and they didn't really
- 6:52Speaker 1: want to hang around the guy. And then a lot
- 6:57Speaker 1: think had made a statement somewhere, but I decided never
- 7:00Speaker 1: to be in the same room with him again. Well,
- 7:03Speaker 1: there's a slight catch there. It turns out that he did.
- 7:07Speaker 1: He did go to Epstein Island once. It's not what
- 7:09Speaker 1: you think it was. Somehow Epstein found out Lutnick would
- 7:14Speaker 1: be on his boat with a whole bunch of people
- 7:17Speaker 1: sailing around right near the island in the Caribbean. In
- 7:21Speaker 1: fact that Lutnik said it was a little creepy. He
- 7:23Speaker 1: still doesn't know how Epstein found out his schedule, knew
- 7:26Speaker 1: where he'd be, But when he knew that, he kept
- 7:28Speaker 1: bombarding Lutnick. Stop by the island, have lunch, Come by
- 7:31Speaker 1: the island. So Lutnick wrote back, and he said, I'm
- 7:34Speaker 1: with my wife, my kids, we have nannies with another couple.
- 7:38Speaker 1: They've got kids, they've got nannies. It's like twelve of us.
- 7:41Speaker 1: And Epstein said, come anyway, come in. He so they
- 7:43Speaker 1: did stop. The boat was going right by the island.
- 7:45Speaker 1: They stopped. They went and they had lunch for about
- 7:49Speaker 1: an hour. So Lutnik did go on the island, but
- 7:52Speaker 1: with like twelve people, his wife and kids and this
- 7:55Speaker 1: other family, and that was it. That was his only
- 7:58Speaker 1: real ever in so engagement ever with Epstein. And then
- 8:03Speaker 1: after that never spoke to him again. So he had
- 8:05Speaker 1: to testify yesterday. Naturally, had Democrats beat him up, accused
- 8:08Speaker 1: him of lying, accused him of all kinds of stuff.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Committee Chairman Comer after the testimony.
- 8:13Speaker 5: The only thing that I'd seen that Lutnick did wrong
- 8:16Speaker 5: wasn't truthful on the brief visit to the island with
- 8:20Speaker 5: his family. He corrected that in his opening statement, and
- 8:25Speaker 5: you know, we'll see. We'll continue our investigation and if
- 8:28Speaker 5: we find that there were any misstatements my Lutnik, it's
- 8:32Speaker 5: a felon, need a lot of Congress, and he'll be
- 8:34Speaker 5: held accountable.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Yeah, well, it doesn't sound like it's going to be.
- 8:37Speaker 1: That's pretty much it. And if you look through the
- 8:40Speaker 1: Epstein files, there's really nothing about Lutnik in there except
- 8:43Speaker 1: just what we've told you, So that should be it.
- 8:45Speaker 1: They're going to get Pam Bondi to come in and
- 8:48Speaker 1: testify with Lutnik as a transcript of it. No video.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Democrats are pushing for transcript and video of Pam Bondi
- 8:57Speaker 1: when she testifies, but it's nothing's going to happen there.
- 9:01Speaker 1: So it's just they just keep this Epstein thing going.
- 9:05Speaker 1: They just praying somehow it hurts Trump. It only helps Trump.
- 9:09Speaker 1: If you read the Epstein files, it's clear that he
- 9:12Speaker 1: hated Trump. They had briefly known each other million years ago,
- 9:15Speaker 1: and then Trump decided he was a disgusting guy and
- 9:18Speaker 1: cut him off, and then for the rest of his life.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Epstein's bad mouthing Trump, plotting against Trump, especially with that
- 9:24Speaker 1: writer Michael Wolf trying to bring down Trump. So if
- 9:29Speaker 1: that's the connection, that really doesn't hurt Trump in anyway. Hey,
- 9:33Speaker 1: crazy Mom Donnie. Besides his war on the billionaires, there's
- 9:38Speaker 1: all kinds of I mean, this guy's going to be
- 9:40Speaker 1: a lot of trouble every second, everywhere, every day. Now,
- 9:44Speaker 1: there's this NYPD captain at an event who is caught
- 9:50Speaker 1: on viral video it went everywhere bashing Mom Donnie. But
- 9:53Speaker 1: he's in uniform and he's on the scene at an
- 9:58Speaker 1: event supervising and he's attacking Mom Donnie like crazy. He's
- 10:04Speaker 1: total nonsense. He's an embarrassment, total nonsense. Not my mayor.
- 10:09Speaker 1: He's a waste of human a waste of the human race. Well,
- 10:13Speaker 1: you know, I'm not saying he's wrong. I'm just saying
- 10:17Speaker 1: you can't say that on the job when you're on
- 10:20Speaker 1: duty in front of a lot of people, and there
- 10:24Speaker 1: were a lot of people. That's how it ended up
- 10:26Speaker 1: on video going viral. So he's been removed. He was
- 10:30Speaker 1: shipped away from the ninety fourth Precinct where he was
- 10:33Speaker 1: the captain, sent to the nine to one to one
- 10:35Speaker 1: call center in the Bronx, which is probably not the
- 10:40Speaker 1: dream job of anybody in the NYPD. But a lot
- 10:44Speaker 1: of people are attacking mom Donnie for it. Although a
- 10:46Speaker 1: lot of people I've talked to in the NYPD, good solid,
- 10:49Speaker 1: responsible people, they do say, I mean, the captain was wrong.
- 10:53Speaker 1: You can think that stuff, you can say that stuff
- 10:55Speaker 1: all day and night, but when you're in the job,
- 10:57Speaker 1: on uniform, out in public, you can't say the stuff.
- 11:00Speaker 1: So within the department there's not a lot of defense
- 11:03Speaker 1: for them. Now the reassignment will be till the investigation
- 11:07Speaker 1: is complete. The investigation, they say can take a year.
- 11:11Speaker 1: What on earth could take a year. Well, I could
- 11:16Speaker 1: see if that was that Albuquerque Police department who screwed
- 11:19Speaker 1: up the Nancy Guthrie mother investigation. But what could take
- 11:23Speaker 1: a year, So we'll see what happens there. The other
- 11:26Speaker 1: thing with Mom Donnie is a horrible thing Parky Synagogue,
- 11:30Speaker 1: Park East Synagogue one hundred. They like to think they're protesters,
- 11:35Speaker 1: but they were violent thugs with those things tied around
- 11:38Speaker 1: their head, those things, the scarfs tied around their faces.
- 11:43Speaker 1: These are violent protesters. They battled with the NYPD for hours.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Mom Donnie should be denouncing them like crazy. He's not.
- 11:52Speaker 1: They claim to be protesting a meeting that was about
- 11:56Speaker 1: the sale of the West Bank land to Jews. First
- 11:59Speaker 1: of all, that's not even true, none of this is true.
- 12:02Speaker 1: And then Mom Donnie kind of let them know he's
- 12:08Speaker 1: on their side. The police did not do enough to
- 12:10Speaker 1: stop them. They should have been stopped immediately, shut down immediately.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Mam Donnie did not do that. The great NYPD did
- 12:17Speaker 1: as much as they could to contain it, but they
- 12:19Speaker 1: should have been arrested, taken away. Mom Donnie still defending him.
- 12:23Speaker 1: He made some crazy statement about that sale of the
- 12:28Speaker 1: West Bank that's not even true. But then he said
- 12:31Speaker 1: it's illegal under international law. There's no such thing as
- 12:35Speaker 1: international law. Democrats love to use that phrase. They used
- 12:39Speaker 1: it with their ran the violation of international law. There
- 12:42Speaker 1: is no actual international law anywhere. There's no such thing.
- 12:46Speaker 1: So the anti Semitic side of mom Donnie coming out
- 12:50Speaker 1: here and looking really, really bad, he should be warning
- 12:54Speaker 1: these thugs. You know, Bruce Blakeman had the same problem,
- 12:59Speaker 1: and they believe it was the same group. They tried
- 13:02Speaker 1: the same thing out in Nassau County. Bruce Blakeman had
- 13:05Speaker 1: the cops stopped them immediately, whole thing over in fifteen minutes,
- 13:10Speaker 1: just shut him down in fifteen minutes, and that was
- 13:12Speaker 1: the end of it. Hey, Mayor Giuliani doing much better.
- 13:16Speaker 1: He was in ICU intensive care. He's out of the ICU,
- 13:21Speaker 1: no more intensive care. He's in a regular hospital room
- 13:24Speaker 1: and they expect that he'll be able to go home
- 13:27Speaker 1: in a couple of days. That's great news. And we'll
- 13:30Speaker 1: get to Ted Turner throughout the show. Ted Turner, who
- 13:34Speaker 1: gave us a CNN. I worked till seven o'clock.
- 13:37Speaker 4: When I got home, the news was over, so I
- 13:41Speaker 4: missed television news completely and I figured there were lots
- 13:45Speaker 4: of people like me.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a good point. You know. Back then, the
- 13:51Speaker 1: only television news was at six thirty, the nightly news
- 13:55Speaker 1: six thirty to seven, and if he got home at seven,
- 13:58Speaker 1: that's it. There was no television news. You could see
- 14:01Speaker 1: the local news at eleven o'clock, but that was about it.
- 14:04Speaker 1: And well, he turned out to be right. They thought
- 14:07Speaker 1: he was crazy, twenty four hour news, but it worked. Well,
- 14:11Speaker 1: we'll get into it in the next hour. We got
- 14:13Speaker 1: a lot to get to. We'll take some calls next.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
