- Lucas: Hey Luna, welcome back to another episode of Learn Telugu with Fexingo. Ready for a new adventure? Luna: Absolutely. I feel like we've been everywhere lately — markets, banks, even the sweet shop. Where are we headed today? Lucas: Today, we're going to a flower shop. Buy flowers in Telugu. Because sometimes, you just need to brighten someone's day. Luna: Oh, I love flowers. But first, how do I even ask where the flower shop is? Lucas: Great question. You can say: పూల దుకాణం ఎక్కడ? That means, where is the flower shop? Luna: పూల దుకాణం ఎక్కడ? Lucas: Perfect. పూల దుకాణం means flower shop, and ఎక్కడ means where. You're practically a local already. Luna: Okay, so I find the shop. Now I want to ask for flowers. What do I say? Lucas: You say: నాకు పూలు కావాలి. That's 'I want flowers' or literally, 'to me flowers are needed.' Luna: నాకు పూలు కావాలి. Sounds a bit formal, but I bet it works. Lucas: It does. And if you see some flowers you like, you can ask the price. ఈ పూలు ఎంత? That means 'how much are these flowers?' Luna: ఈ పూలు ఎంత? Lucas: Yeah. And you can point at the flowers while you say that. Very helpful. Luna: Now let me guess. I want to say I like jasmine flowers. From the market episode, I remember 'ఇష్టం' means like. Lucas: You remembered. So to say 'I like jasmine flowers', you say: నాకు మల్లెపూలు ఇష్టం. మల్లెపూలు is jasmine flowers. Luna: నాకు మల్లెపూలు ఇష్టం. That rolls off the tongue, actually. Lucas: It does. And then, to actually buy them, you'd say: ఒక డజన్ మల్లెపూలు ఇవ్వండి. That's 'give me a dozen jasmine flowers.' Luna: ఒక డజన్ మల్లెపూలు ఇవ్వండి. That's a mouthful, but I think I got it. And if the shopkeeper asks if I need anything else, I can just say అంతే. Lucas: Exactly. అంతే means 'that's all.' You're a pro now. Luna: Let's do a quick role-play. You be the shopkeeper. I'll walk in and ask. Lucas: Sure. పూల దుకాణం ఎక్కడ? Actually, I'm the shopkeeper, so I'll say something like: ఏం కావాలి? Luna: నాకు పూలు కావాలి. Lucas: ఈ పూలు ఎంత? Luna: Wait, I'm the customer. I ask that. So, ఈ పూలు ఎంత? Lucas: Right, right. So the shopkeeper says: ఇవి ఒక డజన్ కి రెండు వందలు. Luna: Okay, then I say: నాకు మల్లెపూలు ఇష్టం. ఒక డజన్ మల్లెపూలు ఇవ్వండి. Lucas: Perfect. And then you say అంతే and you're done. Luna: అంతే. Lucas: Nice. You know, all these phrases are super handy. That one is definitely the trickiest. Lucas: Don't worry, you'll get it with practice. And finally, అంతే. Luna: అంతే. Lucas: Great job today, Luna. You're ready to buy flowers in Telugu. Luna: Thanks, Lucas. And thanks to all our listeners. Practice these phrases, and we'll see you next time.
