- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to Conspiracy The Show, the world's most trusted conspiracy
- 0:16Speaker 1: theory podcast, with your hosts Adam Todd Brown and Olivia Hidar.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Hey, everybody, welcome to Conspiracy The Show. I'm your host,
- 0:38Speaker 2: Adam Todd Brown joining me his co host this week. Ooh,
- 0:41Speaker 2: my favorite co host of all no co hosts. But
- 0:43Speaker 2: do you have a guest? Tiff Myers? Is here a Tiff?
- 0:46Speaker 2: How's it going?
- 0:47Speaker 3: It's going well. I honestly enjoy it whenever you do
- 0:49Speaker 3: the ooh, no co host, that's like my favorite fucking thing.
- 0:52Speaker 3: I can leave now and I'll be happy.
- 0:55Speaker 2: A Tiff has been on. You've been on the Conspiracy
- 0:58Speaker 2: Pod before. For sure, you were on the Malcolm X episodes.
- 1:02Speaker 2: I know that you've been on here on since. I think,
- 1:05Speaker 2: though I don't.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Know, maybe maybe I don't know. I think there was
- 1:10Speaker 3: one we did where it was like a bunch of
- 1:12Speaker 3: conspiracies or it was like or that might have been
- 1:14Speaker 3: like a news round up.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Yeah, that might have been a conspiracy news round up.
- 1:18Speaker 2: We do that either way. People know a Tiff comedian
- 1:21Speaker 2: Minister of Happiness. I've changed the title in twenty.
- 1:26Speaker 3: The discord hates me sometimes, what do they hate you
- 1:29Speaker 3: for the sauces was really fucking controversial the UK.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Yeah, your opinion on the UK. Still One of my
- 1:37Speaker 2: favorite podcast moments is you and Ethan Lawrence on the
- 1:42Speaker 2: five hundredth episode and Ethan very cordially invites you, if
- 1:47Speaker 2: you're ever in the UK, to take you out and
- 1:51Speaker 2: show you some of the better things about the UK,
- 1:54Speaker 2: and you in turn invited him if he's ever in
- 1:57Speaker 2: the US. You said you would take him to Chili's
- 2:02Speaker 2: how much fucking better it is and everything he would show. Kay,
- 2:07Speaker 2: Like you did not let up on the gas at all.
- 2:11Speaker 3: But our conversation was like, very pleasant. It was very pleasant.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Though it was great.
- 2:16Speaker 3: I think both of you were expecting me to come
- 2:18Speaker 3: out guns blazing and just trying to fight, but I
- 2:21Speaker 3: was like, no, oh, listen, like I like debating, Oh
- 2:23Speaker 3: listen and be civil about it. I'm not like the
- 2:25Speaker 3: other person and like the con man. Like that was
- 2:28Speaker 3: fucking rough, but like me and Ethantic, we had a
- 2:31Speaker 3: great time. The guy's awesome.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Yeah, Ethan rules, he's gonna be on you don't even
- 2:35Speaker 2: like this show again very soon, so we're doing my
- 2:38Speaker 2: favorite conspiracy episode. That means a tiff is here to
- 2:42Speaker 2: talk about a conspiracy that not necessarily your favorite. Maybe
- 2:47Speaker 2: it's your favorite, it is my favorite.
- 2:49Speaker 3: It is my favorite. It's like, yeah, yeah.
- 2:52Speaker 2: That makes sense. This is a fun one. This is
- 2:55Speaker 2: a conspiracy that doesn't hurt, it heals.
- 2:59Speaker 3: Yes, and it's also, I guess, an honor of Black
- 3:02Speaker 3: History Month. I'm going with what I think is like
- 3:04Speaker 3: the blackest conspiracy, and that's that Stevie Wonder can see.
- 3:10Speaker 3: I honestly think I think there's he can see and
- 3:13Speaker 3: it's like a seventy percent of me. He's like, yo,
- 3:16Speaker 3: he can fucking see.
- 3:17Speaker 2: And so this is a thing I have talked about before.
- 3:20Speaker 2: There are some videos out there that are pretty interesting.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Damning to say the least, and we say, damn it.
- 3:27Speaker 3: I'm going to go very strong with my words on
- 3:29Speaker 3: this one.
- 3:30Speaker 2: And I think part of the reason we're doing this
- 3:33Speaker 2: now is I just watched the documentary about the making
- 3:39Speaker 2: of We Are the World Okay, which one is really good.
- 3:44Speaker 2: It's very interesting. It was actually way more interesting than
- 3:47Speaker 2: I even expected it to be. But also one there's
- 3:52Speaker 2: a scene where Ray Charles asks where the bathroom is
- 3:58Speaker 2: and Stevie Wonder is the one who, like Pops up
- 4:02Speaker 2: and offers to show him the bathroom and then they
- 4:05Speaker 2: just walk off together. It's like, literally, Blind.
- 4:10Speaker 3: I've been asking you to do this for like months.
- 4:12Speaker 3: I think there was one email where it was like,
- 4:16Speaker 3: let us know you're available to be on on pop,
- 4:18Speaker 3: sorry to break the fourth wall, and I responded with
- 4:21Speaker 3: Stevie Wonder exclamation point, like I wanted this for so long.
- 4:25Speaker 3: I was gonna just jump right into it, but you
- 4:27Speaker 3: talked sorry.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Oh, I was just gonna say. Also, there's another moment
- 4:31Speaker 2: where Stevie Wonder just makes a joke about him driving
- 4:35Speaker 2: everyone home in the Wee Heart World documentary.
- 4:37Speaker 3: And that's a part of why I think he's faking
- 4:41Speaker 3: a little bit, because he's way too cool about it.
- 4:43Speaker 3: Does that make sense? So I there's another fourth wall
- 4:48Speaker 3: break if you if you don't like this, listeners, I
- 4:51Speaker 3: compile the notes, so blame me. But there is a
- 4:56Speaker 3: section called a tiff speculation, and one of them because
- 5:00Speaker 3: he's way too cool about being the butt of blind
- 5:03Speaker 3: jokes to be blind? Does that make sense?
- 5:07Speaker 2: Maybe he's just used to it by now, he's got
- 5:10Speaker 2: he's got thick skin, dude.
- 5:12Speaker 3: But like there was a commercial about him going up
- 5:15Speaker 3: to Tracy Tracy Morgan and elbowing him and big what up, Tracy?
- 5:19Speaker 3: And then Tracy's like, how do you do that? And
- 5:20Speaker 3: it's like, dude, like you're already super talented. The blindness
- 5:24Speaker 3: isn't a hindrance at all. It's weird that you joke
- 5:27Speaker 3: about it so often unless you're meta joking and knowing
- 5:31Speaker 3: that you're not actually blind, but you got us thinking
- 5:34Speaker 3: you're blind, so therefore you're laughing at us, laughing at
- 5:38Speaker 3: your presumptive blindness.
- 5:42Speaker 2: That's deep. You're really thinking about this.
- 5:45Speaker 3: If there was like a shampoo commercial and they're like,
- 5:48Speaker 3: a tiff, we need you to be in it as
- 5:49Speaker 3: a bald guy, I'd fucking be furious. I'd like, don't
- 5:54Speaker 3: what the fuck because a bald don't mean your shampoo
- 5:56Speaker 3: commercial is bullshit? But no. But if I had hair
- 5:58Speaker 3: underneath the scalp and I'm like, ah, I'm not actually bald,
- 6:02Speaker 3: I do it all day.
- 6:03Speaker 2: You do make a good point in that I can't
- 6:06Speaker 2: think of a whole lot of other people with disabilities
- 6:11Speaker 2: at all who do commercials where that is like the joke, like,
- 6:16Speaker 2: cause there's there's entertainers who have, you know, various disabilities
- 6:22Speaker 2: Marley Mattlin, for example, I haven't I don't think I've
- 6:26Speaker 2: ever seen her in a commercial where it's like, isn't
- 6:29Speaker 2: it funny? You can't hear idiot, It's.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Like fucking Stephen Hawkin. Was it in a commercial for
- 6:35Speaker 3: like steps like a problem? I can't hear out, Yeah,
- 6:41Speaker 3: fucking dirt bag. No, he would never do that. But
- 6:45Speaker 3: Stevie wunder is he's in like sketches where he's taking
- 6:48Speaker 3: pictures like he's way too cool. Ray Charles didn't even
- 6:51Speaker 3: do that. Like Ray Charles like pepsi commercials, just being
- 6:55Speaker 3: himself as like the classiest beacon of drinking pepsi.
- 7:00Speaker 2: So why do you say this is the blackest conspiracy?
- 7:04Speaker 3: It's the blackest conspiracy because mainly only like the black
- 7:08Speaker 3: community has been calling it out and believes it. And
- 7:11Speaker 3: also unlike other black conspiracies, like this one might not
- 7:16Speaker 3: be true. Like I think a lot of black conspiracies
- 7:19Speaker 3: are actually right where they're like the government's putting crack
- 7:22Speaker 3: in the community and the government got Malcolm X killed,
- 7:26Speaker 3: like those are like that's just news at this point.
- 7:30Speaker 3: But like Stevie Wonder, Stevie Wonder is still like the
- 7:33Speaker 3: Cevie Wonder can see is still prevalent amongst and no
- 7:36Speaker 3: one seems to address it.
- 7:38Speaker 2: I didn't realize how widespread this theory was. There's websites
- 7:44Speaker 2: about it. Well in a minute, talk about all the
- 7:47Speaker 2: different celebrity stories about Stevie Wonder. I just remember seeing
- 7:52Speaker 2: the microphone stand thing, and I was like, what the
- 7:55Speaker 2: hell is that.
- 7:58Speaker 3: One of the videos I saw in research, some guy
- 8:00Speaker 3: was like, you never seen him with a walking stick,
- 8:03Speaker 3: like a blind stick. That's a good ass point. You've
- 8:06Speaker 3: never seen it with the stick.
- 8:09Speaker 2: That is true, Yeah, but you do always see him
- 8:12Speaker 2: with someone, with someone, like there's always someone near by.
- 8:18Speaker 2: And I don't know, like some of the arguments people make,
- 8:22Speaker 2: I don't necessarily buy, like the clothes like he's rich,
- 8:27Speaker 2: he's got a stylist, Like he wouldn't be picking out
- 8:30Speaker 2: clothes if he could see.
- 8:33Speaker 3: That's true. And it's also like no one's really gonna
- 8:36Speaker 3: let him go out and rags like I don't even
- 8:38Speaker 3: think he would even own that, you know.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Yeah. Even then, there's a video I watched. It was
- 8:44Speaker 2: a TMC video and it said it was Stevie Wonder
- 8:46Speaker 2: addressing people who claim he can see. But he actually
- 8:49Speaker 2: doesn't in the video, but he was landing at Lax
- 8:53Speaker 2: and he just had like a black T shirt and
- 8:56Speaker 2: black pants and a fucking do rag on, So you know,
- 9:00Speaker 2: he doesn't always dress like he's in the I just
- 9:04Speaker 2: called to say I love you video.
- 9:06Speaker 3: But his facial hair has been bad for for like decades.
- 9:09Speaker 3: He's had the worst mustache around the mouth. Half go
- 9:13Speaker 3: see half. I don't know what it was bad. It's
- 9:15Speaker 3: been bad for a while, but I think that that
- 9:17Speaker 3: might be a part of the act though He's like, look,
- 9:19Speaker 3: let me try to cut my own facial hair.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Well, his hairline is getting severe too. Oh yes, it's
- 9:26Speaker 2: a spectacle. And I do wonder. I wonder like if
- 9:31Speaker 2: he could see it, would he do? Would he be like,
- 9:33Speaker 2: shave it shave it off?
- 9:35Speaker 3: I don't think so, And like, who's going to tell
- 9:36Speaker 3: him right unless he knows and it's a part of
- 9:40Speaker 3: the act, it.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Could be, I mean, but what would like wouldn't it
- 9:45Speaker 2: be a cooler story if he could see to like
- 9:50Speaker 2: come out and be like, hey, guess what figured it out?
- 9:53Speaker 2: I can see again? Like that would be huge news.
- 9:55Speaker 2: It would probably like like no, what we don't like
- 9:58Speaker 2: Stevie wonder because he's blind and his music fucking rips again.
- 10:02Speaker 3: He's been killing it since the sixties, like since he
- 10:05Speaker 3: was like ten years old. Like his music's unbelievable. Wikipedia
- 10:09Speaker 3: has each decade he's been performing as Like in the
- 10:12Speaker 3: sixties it was just singles. The seventies, it was this
- 10:15Speaker 3: classic albums period, Like who the fuck has a classic
- 10:19Speaker 3: albums period? Right, Yeah, like an entire decade where they're like,
- 10:23Speaker 3: he just made banger after banger and in the eighties
- 10:26Speaker 3: he's sold out. They're like, wow, this is what he's
- 10:28Speaker 3: selling out, Like.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Yeah, it was all trash, but twenty years.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Into a career, he's like, I guess I'm gonna sell
- 10:33Speaker 3: out now, you know. It's fucking crazy.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Yeah, he's definitely he's had a long run. Maybe he's
- 10:40Speaker 2: just so talented and so creative that like pretending to
- 10:43Speaker 2: be blind is the only way he can feel whole anymore.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Like music is just so easy. But yeah, navigating the
- 10:53Speaker 2: world as a blind person who isn't blind. What if
- 10:57Speaker 2: his glasses make him blind and that's the thing, like
- 11:00Speaker 2: he can see, but just just for the challenge, he
- 11:05Speaker 2: goes out in the world not blind.
- 11:10Speaker 3: It's it's just crazy and what He's won twenty five
- 11:13Speaker 3: Grammys as well as a Lifetime Achievement Award in ninety six,
- 11:17Speaker 3: which he was still making music in ninety six and
- 11:19Speaker 3: is still making music now, Like, yeah, it's a lifetime
- 11:22Speaker 3: chieving award in the middle of his career. And then
- 11:25Speaker 3: only one of four artists who have won a Grammy
- 11:28Speaker 3: for Album of the Year three times, with the tam Sinatra,
- 11:31Speaker 3: Paul Simon, which is a weird one, and then Taylor swift.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm surprised at the Paul Simon one.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Right, Taylor Swift On was not that surprising, but the
- 11:39Speaker 3: Paul Simon, I'm like, how the fuck did that happen?
- 11:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm actually surprised there aren't more people who've won
- 11:44Speaker 2: it three times. That's interesting.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Yeah, like not even like Michael Jackson, Yeah, yeah right,
- 11:50Speaker 3: Mariah Carey.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Yeah, Michael Jackson, Mariah Carrey, Madonna Prince. Like there's a
- 11:55Speaker 2: lot of people that you would that have like some
- 11:58Speaker 2: real bangers that you would think.
- 12:00Speaker 3: Yeah, Beyonce has never even won one.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a scandal. That's a scandal.
- 12:06Speaker 3: That's the next conspiracy. They're just hating on her.
- 12:08Speaker 2: So this theory you have in the notes that rose
- 12:12Speaker 2: to prominence in twenty ten.
- 12:14Speaker 3: Yes, because the video of We Are the World recatches
- 12:18Speaker 3: the mic stand resurfaced.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Oh the White House performance.
- 12:22Speaker 3: You mean the White House performance? Yes, sorry, he caught
- 12:25Speaker 3: So who ran by was like stink it was someone.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Wasn't that Paul McCartney.
- 12:30Speaker 3: It was Paul McCartney. Paul McCartney ran by him, hit
- 12:33Speaker 3: the mic stand to get to like the piano, and
- 12:36Speaker 3: then but Stevie Wonder catches the mic stand like there
- 12:39Speaker 3: was a wonder million catch for like anyone who can see,
- 12:43Speaker 3: and he just fucking caught it and it puts it back.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Yeah, it is a weird video. That's the video that
- 12:49Speaker 2: definitely got me on board. So I guess yeah, I'm
- 12:51Speaker 2: an ogen. I'm on the ground floor of the Stevie
- 12:55Speaker 2: Truther movement.
- 12:57Speaker 3: Right, Like, how did he do that? Nobody knows how
- 13:01Speaker 3: he did that. Like I even watched there's a blind
- 13:04Speaker 3: guy who broke down ceed Wonder blindness this he broke
- 13:08Speaker 3: down his whole conspiracy theory.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Wow'd he do it?
- 13:12Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. I don't know, but he came,
- 13:13Speaker 3: he tried to come to his defense. But I'm like
- 13:15Speaker 3: dog you can't even see it either, man, Like how
- 13:17Speaker 3: you he's just like blind people do cool tricks sometimes.
- 13:21Speaker 3: I'm like, everybody's cool tricks sometimes, Like he's not dared evil.
- 13:25Speaker 2: I know it does at least I have read that
- 13:28Speaker 2: like being a blind person, over time, your other senses
- 13:32Speaker 2: are gonna get a little more heightened and you're gonna
- 13:35Speaker 2: really like have a good sense of your body and
- 13:39Speaker 2: like where it is in space. I don't know, I
- 13:44Speaker 2: don't know. But also, yeah, he caught that mic stand
- 13:47Speaker 2: so like maybe he just perfectly like heard Paul McCartney
- 13:50Speaker 2: knock it over and go whoo, and he just knew
- 13:54Speaker 2: to reach out. I don't know what direction it fell. Yeah,
- 13:59Speaker 2: what if he was trying to grab Paul McCartney's dick, But.
- 14:05Speaker 3: How would even know Paul McCartney's height, you know what
- 14:07Speaker 3: I mean? Even then like the echo location like package
- 14:10Speaker 3: hitting the pants and he's like there's this hog and
- 14:13Speaker 3: then he grabs it.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. The mic stand video is very odd. Yeah,
- 14:20Speaker 2: if we were a better podcast, we'd like have a
- 14:24Speaker 2: blind person on to talk about this.
- 14:27Speaker 3: And again I hope this isn't like the sparage in
- 14:29Speaker 3: like blind people like, we're not trying to do that,
- 14:30Speaker 3: but this guy if it is, if it is true,
- 14:32Speaker 3: we can see he's making a profit off of your
- 14:35Speaker 3: pain for decades, Like we're doing your service.
- 14:40Speaker 2: I will say there there are some of these celebrity
- 14:44Speaker 2: stories that I think can be explained even if he
- 14:48Speaker 2: is blind. I couldn't find the Oprah video.
- 14:53Speaker 3: I remember watching this episode of Oprah where she gifted
- 14:56Speaker 3: him a Bentley and I was just like, he can't
- 15:00Speaker 3: even drive. Why unless he can see? Like, why on
- 15:03Speaker 3: earth would you give him that?
- 15:04Speaker 2: Right?
- 15:05Speaker 3: Like? Am I crazy? Yeah?
- 15:06Speaker 2: I mean it would be a weird choice.
- 15:10Speaker 3: A Rose Royce back in four because he's saying at
- 15:13Speaker 3: her fiftieth birthday party, I mean.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Stevie wanted, he wants a cool car like anyone else.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Why do you want Stevie wonder sitting in the passenger
- 15:21Speaker 2: seat of a fucking Hyundai or something.
- 15:24Speaker 3: But he can't fucking drive it.
- 15:27Speaker 2: But I bet when people are like nice, Rose Royce, Stevie,
- 15:30Speaker 2: He's like.
- 15:31Speaker 3: What's that? What is that? Describe it to me?
- 15:37Speaker 2: Did he say anything? When she gave him a role?
- 15:41Speaker 3: It was like thank you? And like everybody's like, what
- 15:44Speaker 3: the fuck? Oprah?
- 15:45Speaker 2: Because I remember we gave George Bush hell for waving
- 15:48Speaker 2: it Stevie Wonder, Remember that, Yes, he waved at Stevie
- 15:54Speaker 2: Wonder and we were like, you insensitive fucking monster. Read
- 15:59Speaker 2: the room and Oprah's like, here's a cessna, learn to
- 16:03Speaker 2: fly it. I'm sure blind people can fly planes.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Though, I mean there's a less thanks to hit up there.
- 16:08Speaker 3: Something they just got to get up.
- 16:09Speaker 2: How ironic would that be? Like you can't have shitty
- 16:12Speaker 2: vision and fly a plane, but I bet you can
- 16:14Speaker 2: also be blind and fly.
- 16:17Speaker 3: But like, so there's a Reddit post if today I
- 16:20Speaker 3: learned Oprah Winfrey bought CV wonder Rose Royce, so thank
- 16:23Speaker 3: you for singing Happy Birthday at her fiftieth birthday party.
- 16:27Speaker 3: You click on the link no longer exists.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I couldn't find video of this.
- 16:34Speaker 3: They're scrubbing and everybody on rebbit on redd excuse me.
- 16:37Speaker 3: It's like, does she know he's blind? I wonder if
- 16:40Speaker 3: she also hired a driver for him?
- 16:42Speaker 2: I mean he's got to have a driver. But yeah,
- 16:45Speaker 2: like at some point, almost any gift, it's gonna feel like,
- 16:49Speaker 2: why are you giving that to a blind dude?
- 16:51Speaker 3: It's a good point unless it's like brail unless the
- 16:53Speaker 3: Braille book.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Yeah, so Stevie Wonder just gets books. That's the only
- 16:57Speaker 2: giff we're allowing Stevie one books, audio books, books on CD,
- 17:03Speaker 2: books on cassette, things like that.
- 17:05Speaker 3: And this is why this conspiracy doesn't get taken seriously
- 17:08Speaker 3: is because it's very funny. It's so fucking funny.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I mean it's undeniably funny that Oprah Winfrey
- 17:17Speaker 2: gifted him a car. It's not funny that he's blind,
- 17:20Speaker 2: just like that La comedian Daniel Perez who went on
- 17:25Speaker 2: Prices Right and won a treadmill. And thing to note
- 17:30Speaker 2: about Daniel Perez wheelchairs.
- 17:32Speaker 3: In a wheelchair missing her feet.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Yes, missing her feet. So yeah, treadmill was an odd
- 17:39Speaker 2: gift for the Prices Right.
- 17:43Speaker 3: So there's also pictures of him taking pictures of other people.
- 17:47Speaker 3: Does that make sense? Like he's there's a picture of
- 17:49Speaker 3: him going around to him taking pictures of Michael Jackson.
- 17:53Speaker 2: That's that is weird. That is weird.
- 17:56Speaker 3: And it's like the blind guy in the video where
- 17:59Speaker 3: he just benning Stevie was like, we like to have
- 18:01Speaker 3: fun sometimes. I'm like, yeah, that's funny. But like Michael
- 18:05Speaker 3: Jackson's into the pose, like he's really going hard at
- 18:07Speaker 3: this pose.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Like maybe there was just no one else around, and
- 18:13Speaker 2: Michael Jackson really needed that fucking picture, and he's like,
- 18:17Speaker 2: Stevie needs.
- 18:18Speaker 3: You, Stevie, I need you to break character. But like
- 18:21Speaker 3: this outfit's are looking fucking dope. I need this memorialized.
- 18:25Speaker 3: You gotta do it, buddy.
- 18:26Speaker 2: It look like a sparkly band leader right now. Take
- 18:29Speaker 2: this picture.
- 18:31Speaker 3: But also like this is like the only conspiracy that
- 18:34Speaker 3: I feel like celebrities will fully talk about. Oh yeah,
- 18:38Speaker 3: but like high profile ones.
- 18:39Speaker 2: You are right though, like at least in this list
- 18:43Speaker 2: of celebrities, it is exclusively black celebrities.
- 18:46Speaker 3: Yes, like Matthew McConaughey isn't out there, like yo, Stevie
- 18:49Speaker 3: wanted could fucking see guys, Is this.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Gonna be my niche? Is this gonna be like my
- 18:53Speaker 2: Beatles moment where I just steal from the black community
- 18:57Speaker 2: and like run and make a career out of Stevie
- 19:00Speaker 2: wonder can see?
- 19:01Speaker 3: I hope not. That'd be fucking sack.
- 19:05Speaker 2: I might just go full Stevie Truther all the time,
- 19:08Speaker 2: all five episodes a week.
- 19:11Speaker 3: There's so many videos of it, though, But like I
- 19:14Speaker 3: feel like a lot of those videos are like mean
- 19:16Speaker 3: spirited where he's at like a basketball game and they're like,
- 19:19Speaker 3: what the fuck does he need to he can't see
- 19:20Speaker 3: the game, Like why does he have good seats? And
- 19:22Speaker 3: I'm like, we're not doing that here, Like he can
- 19:27Speaker 3: enjoy his life. It's a lot of like he's doing
- 19:30Speaker 3: mundane things. Fuck this guy, he's lying to us.
- 19:33Speaker 2: And it's not just that, it's a lot of why
- 19:35Speaker 2: is he enjoying his life?
- 19:37Speaker 3: Yeah, I just think him getting a car is fucking
- 19:41Speaker 3: sus fucking sus man.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Yeah, the car thing is weird, and yeah, let's talk
- 19:47Speaker 2: about some of the celebrity stories speaking of cars. Lionel Richie.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Lionel Richie is like, oh, you know Stevie Wonder, I
- 19:54Speaker 3: saw him driving get my neighborhood.
- 19:56Speaker 2: Well, he didn't say that.
- 19:58Speaker 3: It was backing out from his drive He's like, I
- 20:00Speaker 3: saw Stevie Wonder backing out from his driveway.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Well, I've tracked down the video where he tells the story,
- 20:06Speaker 2: and Okay, he says that he and Stevie Wonder were
- 20:09Speaker 2: both in the car and Stevie Wonder when they get
- 20:13Speaker 2: in the car, for some reason, Stevie Wonder's like, I
- 20:15Speaker 2: want to get in the driver's seat because he thought
- 20:19Speaker 2: they were just like going to hop in this car
- 20:21Speaker 2: to like talk or something. And either that or Lionel
- 20:25Speaker 2: Richie was like, fuck it, you're Stevie Wonder. If you
- 20:27Speaker 2: want to try and drive, go ahead. But he said
- 20:30Speaker 2: Stevie Wonder turned the car on and then did that
- 20:34Speaker 2: thing where you put your arm around the passenger seat
- 20:37Speaker 2: and look behind you to start backing up, and that
- 20:39Speaker 2: he started backing up, but then he stopped and like said,
- 20:43Speaker 2: I gotcha, Like he was just joking.
- 20:47Speaker 3: Again, having way too much fun being blind.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Yeah, and where did he learn the put your arm
- 20:54Speaker 2: around the seat and look back thing?
- 20:56Speaker 3: Where do you know where the ignition was? Like, Lionel
- 20:59Speaker 3: rich wasn't like I saw him bumbling for the keys.
- 21:03Speaker 3: It was smooth.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Yeah, don't I think would have mentioned that if it
- 21:07Speaker 2: took him like twenty two attempts to get to I
- 21:12Speaker 2: assume he would have brought that part up. So yeah,
- 21:14Speaker 2: I guess that is interesting.
- 21:16Speaker 3: But again it wasn't. It was just like apropos of nothing,
- 21:19Speaker 3: Like no one was like tell us your best Stevie
- 21:21Speaker 3: Wonder story, Like all these people are willfully giving up
- 21:25Speaker 3: these stories. Yes, yes, right, Like the next one, Shack
- 21:29Speaker 3: him and Shack you still have in like the same
- 21:31Speaker 3: apartment building, right, and Shaq got on the elevator and
- 21:35Speaker 3: that Stevie Wonder got on the elevator and was like, Hi, Shack,
- 21:37Speaker 3: how are you? And Shack's like, how did you even
- 21:39Speaker 3: know I was here?
- 21:40Speaker 2: Do you think Shack has a scent? Ooh, maybe everyone
- 21:46Speaker 2: has a scent. Every house has a scent, like we
- 21:49Speaker 2: all have our own fucking aroma, and Shacks might just
- 21:53Speaker 2: be pungent. Stevie Wonder might have like seen Shack coming,
- 21:57Speaker 2: so to speak, like before that elevator or even ope.
- 22:01Speaker 3: So like my dad was like an enormous guy who's
- 22:04Speaker 3: a very heavy set guy, right, but there was there's
- 22:07Speaker 3: some parts to him he couldn't clean. So maybe Shack
- 22:11Speaker 3: is like the same way. He's just like there's just
- 22:14Speaker 3: a fold like right behind the eleventh rip that he
- 22:18Speaker 3: just doesn't wash and it's just musty.
- 22:21Speaker 2: That could be See, we nailed it. But then also
- 22:25Speaker 2: Stevie Wonder's a musician. We're also kind of ignoring the
- 22:29Speaker 2: fact that he plays piano and is blind. So with Shack,
- 22:33Speaker 2: if this was a place they both lived. Stevie Wonder
- 22:36Speaker 2: is going to have some muscle memory built up when
- 22:39Speaker 2: it comes to hitting that button, and then you know,
- 22:43Speaker 2: like brail, like all of those hotel elevator buttons tend
- 22:47Speaker 2: to have brail.
- 22:48Speaker 3: Sure, but knowing it's it with Shack, like, that's the
- 22:52Speaker 3: weird part.
- 22:53Speaker 2: That part is weird. That part is weird. I bet
- 22:55Speaker 2: it's a combination of scent and I bet Shack breathe heavy.
- 23:01Speaker 3: Oh yeah, oh a million percent, because he's massive.
- 23:04Speaker 2: Everything he does is like a strain on his body.
- 23:07Speaker 3: Dude. I remember as a kid I met Rashid Wallace.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Oh yeah, his kid was.
- 23:13Speaker 3: In the same class as me, in like third grade,
- 23:15Speaker 3: second grade. But I just remember him walking in the
- 23:18Speaker 3: room and then like crouching to get in the door.
- 23:21Speaker 3: And he was not even Shackkite, But I remember I
- 23:23Speaker 3: walked up to him and I was like, yo, dude,
- 23:25Speaker 3: could you pick me up so I can touch the door?
- 23:27Speaker 3: And then a line of us kids and he picked
- 23:29Speaker 3: us all up so we can hit the door. He
- 23:31Speaker 3: was like the nicest guy, He's the best.
- 23:33Speaker 2: That's great. Donald Glover, Donald Glover, I think I can explain.
- 23:37Speaker 3: Please explain it.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Well, Donald Glover's whole thing is he wanted to use
- 23:42Speaker 2: some of Stevie Wonder's music in an episode of Atlanta,
- 23:46Speaker 2: and he said he was texting with Stevie Wonder about it,
- 23:49Speaker 2: and that was his first thing. He was like, how
- 23:51Speaker 2: does he even text? And it's like, of course, blind
- 23:54Speaker 2: people text, Yeah, voice voice, that's very easy. But his
- 23:59Speaker 2: next thing was, well, Stevie Wonder was like, I want
- 24:02Speaker 2: to watch the episode first, and that's where Donald Glover
- 24:05Speaker 2: was like, what how what do you mean you want
- 24:07Speaker 2: to watch the episode? And I know because I accidentally
- 24:12Speaker 2: enabled it once. There's a setting on most TVs that
- 24:19Speaker 2: it's like close captioning but for the movement and action,
- 24:24Speaker 2: So instead of the words popping up on the screen,
- 24:28Speaker 2: there's a voice that's like Stevie Wonder jumps in the
- 24:31Speaker 2: car and starts the ignition, Stevie Wonder drives away. And
- 24:37Speaker 2: I enabled it on accident somehow. But it was on
- 24:41Speaker 2: a show called The Good Fight, which is a very
- 24:43Speaker 2: weird and quirky show that does like strange shit sometimes,
- 24:49Speaker 2: And for like ten minutes, I was like is this
- 24:51Speaker 2: going somewhere? Like why are they having this? Like voiceover
- 24:55Speaker 2: describe every movement, like what is how is this integral
- 24:59Speaker 2: to the plot? And then eventually I was like, oh,
- 25:02Speaker 2: this is for blind people. Yeah, that's what's going on here.
- 25:05Speaker 2: This is for blind people.
- 25:06Speaker 3: The Donald Lover one, I think might be the it's
- 25:08Speaker 3: the weakest one, like that one is the weakest one.
- 25:10Speaker 3: But I forgot one. The Boy George one.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's there's a dead Spin article.
- 25:16Speaker 3: Yes, I think one of Stevie Wonder's friends where like
- 25:19Speaker 3: they saw them choke Boy George at a party, like
- 25:23Speaker 3: went up to him through a crowd of people and
- 25:25Speaker 3: just choked them.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Yeah, that is an anecdote that's out there. There's just
- 25:29Speaker 2: like no proof, isn't it just someone saying they heard
- 25:33Speaker 2: boy George say in an interview, Like we don't even
- 25:36Speaker 2: have the boy George interview.
- 25:38Speaker 3: No, it says the quote is holla back boy. Now
- 25:42Speaker 3: I know why I didn't put it in bro to
- 25:45Speaker 3: see Boy George tone unknown interviewed about drunk memory of
- 25:48Speaker 3: his which Wonder choked him out. No, that's why it happened.
- 25:52Speaker 3: It was a week Stevie Wonder one. Excuse me. Steve
- 25:54Speaker 3: Harvey one.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Steve Harvey one, I couldn't find he like played a
- 25:58Speaker 2: prank on Steve Harvey. Is that correct?
- 26:01Speaker 3: Sort of? So Steve I got the Steve Harvey one
- 26:03Speaker 3: and line of Richie one confused. Where Steve Harvey at
- 26:06Speaker 3: like the end of an episode of Family Feud, it
- 26:09Speaker 3: was in like the blind guy defending Stevie video an
- 26:12Speaker 3: episode of Family Feud. At the end of it, he
- 26:14Speaker 3: just does like a set where he's like, I fucking
- 26:17Speaker 3: saw Stevie Wonder drive around in my neighborhood, like he
- 26:20Speaker 3: can fucking see, like literally dropping f bombs. After Family
- 26:23Speaker 3: Feud's exactly, He's like he can fucking see like he's
- 26:26Speaker 3: fucking lying all everybody, Like he just goes off with
- 26:28Speaker 3: Stevie Wonder.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Steve Harvey was cursing, yes wow, because he like very
- 26:33Speaker 2: famously stopped cursing correct.
- 26:35Speaker 3: So that's why I was like, oh damn, he this
- 26:39Speaker 3: is this serious. If he's like he can fucking see
- 26:42Speaker 3: like he's fucking lying everybody, Like he's like I fucking
- 26:44Speaker 3: saw him drive to my name, but he's like he
- 26:45Speaker 3: was going slow, but he was driving.
- 26:48Speaker 2: Wouldn't that be risky though, if you're Stevie Wonder, Yes, absolutely,
- 26:54Speaker 2: because it's not like he can just go to subway
- 26:57Speaker 2: or something like everyone in the world it's going to
- 27:01Speaker 2: be like you, sir, are Stevie Wonder.
- 27:04Speaker 3: But nobody are asking these people to say. This is
- 27:08Speaker 3: the crazy part, you know what I mean, Like, no
- 27:11Speaker 3: one's like, what's your stance on Stevie Wonders if you
- 27:14Speaker 3: can see or not? Like they just are like, yay,
- 27:17Speaker 3: nuggets are great, but Stevie Wonder could fucking see. Like
- 27:20Speaker 3: it's crazy that.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Anthony Anderson one I thought was a little interesting.
- 27:26Speaker 3: Or he's just saying, hey, I know he could see
- 27:28Speaker 3: put things in front of him and watch him dodge everything.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Yeah, because what he says is that they were at
- 27:35Speaker 2: a party and Stevie Wonder just walked up to him
- 27:39Speaker 2: and was like, hey, Anthony, will you take me over
- 27:41Speaker 2: to the piano? And Anthony Anderson was like, what if
- 27:44Speaker 2: you know she just walked up to me and knew
- 27:46Speaker 2: it was me. Seems like you could just get to
- 27:48Speaker 2: the piano too. What's going on? And he's like, Anthony
- 27:52Speaker 2: Anderson seems serious about it. He's like he had to
- 27:55Speaker 2: start playing it off because he knows he slipped up.
- 27:57Speaker 2: But Stevie Wonder can see.
- 28:00Speaker 3: And like nobody's asking them like was Anthony Anderson. They're
- 28:04Speaker 3: like promote like a show. It was on a late
- 28:07Speaker 3: night show. We're there to promote it, and then he
- 28:08Speaker 3: just goes into the sangent.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Yeah, he was all dolled up too, so he was
- 28:12Speaker 2: promoting something serious.
- 28:14Speaker 3: The most serious one is by Bomani Jones, though.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Bomani Jones will have to go into in detail. But
- 28:20Speaker 2: we just talk about Chica.
- 28:21Speaker 3: Chica just said he can use zoom.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Yeah, and in that article she was like that that
- 28:27Speaker 2: was for me, that wasn't for him, Like we could
- 28:30Speaker 2: have just talked on the phone, but I wanted to
- 28:32Speaker 2: see Stevie Wonder.
- 28:33Speaker 3: Okay, that's another week, like.
- 28:35Speaker 2: You selfish monster.
- 28:38Speaker 3: Wow, the Bomani one is serious.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Yeah, the Bomani one, he really really means it.
- 28:44Speaker 3: Where it's just someone taking a recording from their phone
- 28:48Speaker 3: of a recording of a screen of Bomani going in
- 28:50Speaker 3: on Stevie Wonder being able to see.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a weird video. Bomani Jones must have like
- 28:56Speaker 2: deleted it. I don't know where he was. It doesn't
- 28:59Speaker 2: seem like he's doing a TV show because Boumonti Jones.
- 29:02Speaker 2: For people who don't know, he's a very well respected
- 29:05Speaker 2: sports journalist and commentator. He had his own show on HBO.
- 29:11Speaker 2: I don't know if he still does.
- 29:13Speaker 3: It got canceled.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Yeah, the first episode, the guest was Stephen A. Smith,
- 29:17Speaker 2: and it was one of the most obnoxious episodes of
- 29:19Speaker 2: television I've ever seen. It was Steven A. Smith mostly
- 29:22Speaker 2: talking about how he feels like he is as famous
- 29:25Speaker 2: as the athletes he covers. It's like, you know, we're not.
- 29:30Speaker 3: I I could see extent, but it depends I.
- 29:34Speaker 2: Mean within the sports world, like if you're like a
- 29:37Speaker 2: sports debate show person. Yeah, Stephen A. Smith is super famous,
- 29:42Speaker 2: but that I mean he's on General Hospital too, So
- 29:47Speaker 2: I guess there's that Steven A.
- 29:48Speaker 3: Smith's on General Hospital.
- 29:50Speaker 2: Yeah, he has a recurring role on General Hospital. I
- 29:53Speaker 2: forget what his name is. What he plays like a
- 29:57Speaker 2: shadowy figure on Yeah, what's his character name?
- 30:00Speaker 3: I have no idea Brick.
- 30:02Speaker 2: His name is Brick on General Hospital. It's true.
- 30:06Speaker 3: I believe it. I believe it now. There is Spomani
- 30:09Speaker 3: Jones video. It's a four parter, but it's clearly before
- 30:13Speaker 3: he was doing well right, like he looks very rough.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Well, it might just be an old video too, because
- 30:19Speaker 2: this theory dates back to twenty ten. This could be
- 30:22Speaker 2: him on a webcam in like two K twelve.
- 30:27Speaker 3: He's just saying that Stevie Wonder was trying to get
- 30:29Speaker 3: on Dancing with the Stars. That's you go into it
- 30:31Speaker 3: because I did not listen to this.
- 30:34Speaker 2: That's his main argument is Stevie Wonder is going on
- 30:38Speaker 2: Dancing with the Stars, and his whole thing is can
- 30:42Speaker 2: you do that as a blind person? And I think
- 30:46Speaker 2: today we would call that being a little bit ablest.
- 30:49Speaker 2: I think yeah, because I mean my thought was, yeah,
- 30:54Speaker 2: of course blind people can dance, like and I looked
- 30:58Speaker 2: it up. Have you seen any of those Instagram videos
- 31:01Speaker 2: where it's like NBA dance teams and there will be
- 31:05Speaker 2: one girl doing choreography behind another girl, and yeah, the
- 31:10Speaker 2: girl in front has to like figure out the choreography
- 31:13Speaker 2: from just the sounds that are coming from behind her. Yes,
- 31:17Speaker 2: and like nine times out of ten they're able to
- 31:19Speaker 2: figure it out.
- 31:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:21Speaker 2: I'm not blind, and I didn't like take a course
- 31:25Speaker 2: to confirm, but it seems like that's how it would
- 31:28Speaker 2: work with a blind person on Dancing with the Stars.
- 31:32Speaker 2: I also found, I mean to give people an idea
- 31:35Speaker 2: of just how possible. It is. I found a link
- 31:38Speaker 2: to someone who teaches ballet two blind people over the internet.
- 31:44Speaker 3: Damn.
- 31:45Speaker 2: So yeah, Stevie Wonder could have been on Dancing with
- 31:47Speaker 2: the Stars.
- 31:48Speaker 3: Like, let's just be real for a second. This conspiracy
- 31:51Speaker 3: theory is like mainly ablest because it's like Stevie Wonder
- 31:55Speaker 3: is too good at being blind, Like there's no way
- 31:59Speaker 3: of this is good at being blind.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Well, the whole theory is exactly what we're doing here,
- 32:05Speaker 2: Like it's people who aren't blind who don't have this disability,
- 32:09Speaker 2: not even asking people who do have this disability if
- 32:14Speaker 2: any of this is valid. We're just like, listen, I
- 32:17Speaker 2: know what I can do as a person who can see,
- 32:19Speaker 2: and I'm assuming blind people can do none of it,
- 32:22Speaker 2: because how would you do it without your eyes? And
- 32:28Speaker 2: you know it's because they got them Daredevil's senses everywhere
- 32:30Speaker 2: else for sure.
- 32:32Speaker 3: And the Bomani also saying that his friends sold Stevie
- 32:35Speaker 3: Wonders three plasma TVs at once, like Stevie Wonder dressing
- 32:41Speaker 3: the same So it's nineteen seventy two.
- 32:43Speaker 2: I like that. Again, We're we're all assuming blind people
- 32:47Speaker 2: just sit at home in either silence or they're only
- 32:51Speaker 2: listening to music. They're never enjoying movies, never enjoying TV shows.
- 32:56Speaker 2: Why would you even have a TV? You absolutely what
- 33:00Speaker 2: is wrong with you? Why give that TV back? Why
- 33:03Speaker 2: do you have it?
- 33:04Speaker 3: That's where this theory is like falls apart and gets
- 33:07Speaker 3: that kind of mean. Yeah, I am one of the pretense,
- 33:11Speaker 3: Like it's weird. He fucking caught that thing, and it's weird.
- 33:14Speaker 3: He's like driving cars and he's looking at people's bones
- 33:18Speaker 3: all the fun shit. I get Like if if he's
- 33:21Speaker 3: at basketball games, they're loud and he's the court side,
- 33:24Speaker 3: so he's hearing the game.
- 33:25Speaker 2: Yeah, Like, and I wouldn't be surprised if he's got
- 33:29Speaker 2: like a thing in where he can hear it.
- 33:32Speaker 3: Like, Yeah, when.
- 33:33Speaker 2: I went to the US Open, that was a thing
- 33:35Speaker 2: you could do. You didn't even have to be blind.
- 33:37Speaker 2: You just had to have an American Express card and
- 33:40Speaker 2: for three they would give you these little radios that
- 33:43Speaker 2: you could attach to your ear that plays the ESPN broadcast.
- 33:48Speaker 2: Yeah while you're watching the US Open. Yeah, I am
- 33:52Speaker 2: sure he's got something like that. And also I just like,
- 33:56Speaker 2: I like the gumption to sit courtside as a blind
- 34:00Speaker 2: person like that will fuck you to everyone else could
- 34:05Speaker 2: have maybe sat court side, and you know they're like,
- 34:08Speaker 2: you couldn't sit and row three, motherfucker.
- 34:10Speaker 3: You are blocking my view.
- 34:13Speaker 2: Guess we're all Stevie Wonder tonight. Thanks.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Those are again those arguments are like the more fucked
- 34:19Speaker 3: up ones where it's like he has money, he will
- 34:21Speaker 3: sit court side. If you're saw them with the nosebleeds,
- 34:24Speaker 3: that'd be the shocking part. Yes, because he can afford
- 34:28Speaker 3: better seats. Now, that would be crazy.
- 34:32Speaker 2: Just where's Waldo's Stevie Wonder and the fucking ros section three?
- 34:39Speaker 2: God damn, how do you get up there? He's by himself.
- 34:43Speaker 3: He'll be at that seat that's like behind the pillar,
- 34:45Speaker 3: Like that's where people want him to sit where you
- 34:48Speaker 3: can't even see the court.
- 34:51Speaker 2: Yeah, just tell him he's court side again.
- 34:55Speaker 3: And that's also everybody's comments, so like why did you
- 34:57Speaker 3: just fucking lie to them? And it's like a shit
- 34:59Speaker 3: lie to them. But like, dog, it's weird that he's driving,
- 35:02Speaker 3: it's weird that he can catch Mike stands like and
- 35:06Speaker 3: he it's weird that he's all he's cool with all
- 35:08Speaker 3: these jokes about him, Like yeah.
- 35:10Speaker 2: That part is I mean but I mean, you know,
- 35:13Speaker 2: he's just just a good natured guy.
- 35:16Speaker 3: Do you do you have more of Bomani?
- 35:17Speaker 2: Well, it really is him kind of repeatedly going back
- 35:22Speaker 2: to the Dancing with the Stars thing, and then he
- 35:25Speaker 2: does go on a sort of rant about people getting
- 35:30Speaker 2: mad about this theory, and his point is basically, I'm
- 35:35Speaker 2: wishing vision on Stevie Wonder. You're wishing blindness on Stevie Wonder.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Why am I a bad person? Like I hope he
- 35:44Speaker 2: can see, Like that's what I want, Which that's true,
- 35:47Speaker 2: and that's I mean, I think that is the part
- 35:51Speaker 2: that makes this conspiracy seem harmless. Yeah, is the part
- 35:57Speaker 2: where it's like, well, yeah, like who cares if Stevie
- 35:59Speaker 2: Wonder can see? And I still maintain like, cool, that's
- 36:03Speaker 2: great if Stevie Wonder like regained his vision at some
- 36:06Speaker 2: point and is just pretending that's great. I'm happy Stevie
- 36:10Speaker 2: Wonder can see again.
- 36:12Speaker 3: Right, Like, because it's not like he directly profited from
- 36:16Speaker 3: being blind, if that makes sense, right, He's not like,
- 36:19Speaker 3: he's not like a twenty four seven gofund me because
- 36:22Speaker 3: I'm blind and just stealing people's money. He's one of
- 36:25Speaker 3: the most talented musicians of all time. Like that's it.
- 36:28Speaker 3: So I think that's also why this conspiracy is just
- 36:31Speaker 3: so much fun is because he's an enormous success and
- 36:34Speaker 3: it's just kind of funny if he just wasn't blind
- 36:38Speaker 3: and he was just fucking with everybody.
- 36:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree, it's mostly harmless. It's just the it's
- 36:44Speaker 2: it's that so much of it and it just kind
- 36:46Speaker 2: of like registered as we were recording this that like
- 36:50Speaker 2: so much of it boils down to, well, blind people
- 36:53Speaker 2: can't do stuff, and like, yeah they can, like and
- 37:00Speaker 2: and like think about all right, like imagine you were
- 37:03Speaker 2: blind and you had to walk to the store, the
- 37:07Speaker 2: nearest store. Like imagine if someone put goggles on you
- 37:13Speaker 2: that made you blind and you had to walk to
- 37:15Speaker 2: the store, you would die, Like you'd probably die in
- 37:17Speaker 2: traffic or a fall or something. But then at the
- 37:21Speaker 2: same time, think about what a blind person needs to
- 37:25Speaker 2: make that journey, like basically a stick and for the
- 37:30Speaker 2: fucking crosswalks to be like dope, And that's it. They
- 37:35Speaker 2: got it figured out. So like, once you get that
- 37:38Speaker 2: part down, I bet it's a lot like playing guitar,
- 37:41Speaker 2: where you just get fucking better at it. As top
- 37:44Speaker 2: sure goes on and eventually it's like you kind of
- 37:48Speaker 2: have eyes. I bet like the rest of your senses
- 37:51Speaker 2: probably get a little more fine tuned. I would sure,
- 37:55Speaker 2: shit hope for sure.
- 37:56Speaker 3: And it's like, again, I think we've done a good
- 38:00Speaker 3: of not being like what the fuck you shouldn't be
- 38:03Speaker 3: You should be enjoyed himself, like god, dude, go do
- 38:06Speaker 3: your thing. But it's like, it's weird that you you
- 38:08Speaker 3: can catch things. It's weird. It is.
- 38:11Speaker 2: The mic stand thing will always be weird to me
- 38:14Speaker 2: because that's like, that's so quick. I would at least
- 38:17Speaker 2: expect that it would just fall and Stevie Wonder would
- 38:20Speaker 2: be like, what was that? What happened?
- 38:22Speaker 3: It was like when Daredevil caught that brick in like
- 38:24Speaker 3: the Spider Man movie.
- 38:26Speaker 2: It's an impressive video.
- 38:28Speaker 3: Yeah, but here's my speculation, okay about what adds this
- 38:33Speaker 3: fuel to me is I saw him live. He maneuverd
- 38:37Speaker 3: around a stage like a pro, like he didn't have
- 38:39Speaker 3: no one helping him. That was fucking crazy. But this
- 38:42Speaker 3: one is my No one mentions this, but it's like
- 38:46Speaker 3: my rapper theory, okay, where so many rappers use Stevie
- 38:51Speaker 3: Wonder as like a line right where they're like, you
- 38:54Speaker 3: can't see me, you're blind, like Stevie, Like every rapper
- 38:58Speaker 3: said that, and Stevie Wonder has yet to be like, fuck,
- 39:01Speaker 3: you don't make fun of me. Like he's been like
- 39:05Speaker 3: a metaphor for brokeness and he's not once defended himself.
- 39:10Speaker 2: Yeah, but he might just not care. You know, maybe
- 39:13Speaker 2: he doesn't listen to rap music.
- 39:14Speaker 3: Someone of his team has got to be like Stevie.
- 39:17Speaker 3: You know, they're associating you with being broke, right, Like right,
- 39:21Speaker 3: am I crazy?
- 39:22Speaker 2: I actually don't see that being a thing Stevie Wonder
- 39:25Speaker 2: would care about. He's Stevie Wonder for one thing. He's
- 39:28Speaker 2: got to worry about being blind, so that's fair probably
- 39:32Speaker 2: occupying a bunch of his time.
- 39:34Speaker 3: I just wish he'd be like, yo, stop using me
- 39:36Speaker 3: as a fucking bar, Like I'm not a fucking bar.
- 39:38Speaker 3: Stop it.
- 39:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean he comes from a different time. He's
- 39:41Speaker 2: probably so used to it now that yeah, like it
- 39:46Speaker 2: just probably doesn't register with him at all.
- 39:49Speaker 3: I didn't say it was a strong theory. I'm just
- 39:51Speaker 3: like yo. Someone was like, you're a myth. You're not
- 39:54Speaker 3: a myth. You're blind like a tiff I'd be so pissed.
- 39:58Speaker 3: I'd be so fucking mad. He was so mad.
- 40:01Speaker 2: But I mean, hey, any publicity's good publicity, even a
- 40:06Speaker 2: conspiracy podcast about how you might not actually be blind.
- 40:10Speaker 3: But again, in conclusion, there are levels to blindness. Just
- 40:14Speaker 3: because you're legally blind doesn't mean that you can't see anything.
- 40:18Speaker 3: There's a picture of him without his glasses on. He
- 40:21Speaker 3: looks super blind. Say, like his eyes, that's pretty bad.
- 40:24Speaker 2: Yeah, it doesn't look like he's got great vision. And normally,
- 40:28Speaker 2: I know, don't judge a book by its cover, but eyes,
- 40:31Speaker 2: you can kind of look at him and go, oh,
- 40:33Speaker 2: you're not using those for what they're for.
- 40:35Speaker 3: Yeah, And if he's been faking for this long, it's
- 40:38Speaker 3: fucking impressive. Like, I'm not even mad. It's like, damn,
- 40:42Speaker 3: you fooled everybody, even up to a point where you
- 40:44Speaker 3: already made it, and he's still doing it.
- 40:46Speaker 2: Yeah. What if it's just that he's such an icon
- 40:49Speaker 2: to the blind community that he's like, fuck, I can't
- 40:52Speaker 2: let him know. It came back. I'm back, I can see.
- 40:56Speaker 2: I remember one of those craziest stories I've ever heard.
- 40:58Speaker 2: There was a woman who is blind and for one
- 41:02Speaker 2: of her birthdays, she and her husband decided to parachute, okay,
- 41:07Speaker 2: out of a plane, you know all other things people Zeppelin, helicopter,
- 41:14Speaker 2: things like that helicopter would be a smooth parachute experience.
- 41:18Speaker 2: While she was on the way down, she heard a
- 41:20Speaker 2: popping noise in her head, and like three days later
- 41:24Speaker 2: she could see again, and they have like doctors had
- 41:27Speaker 2: no fucking clue what happened, but maybe it was something
- 41:31Speaker 2: like that.
- 41:31Speaker 3: What that's like, like with Lasik, how that got found
- 41:35Speaker 3: or discovered is because like somebody's like in a car
- 41:39Speaker 3: accident and they got a bunch of glass in their eyes,
- 41:41Speaker 3: so they had to take out all the glass, and
- 41:43Speaker 3: then when the eyes heal with themselves, like the dude's
- 41:46Speaker 3: vision was better. So they're like, why do we just
- 41:48Speaker 3: keep cutting people's eyes? Like this seems to work. Yeah,
- 41:52Speaker 3: but I'm again, I'm like seventy percent sure that he
- 41:56Speaker 3: that I believe this conspiracy, but not for the dickish
- 41:59Speaker 3: reason Like I'm in no way being like you shouldn't
- 42:02Speaker 3: enjoy himself, like he's rich as shit, fucking go crazy.
- 42:05Speaker 3: But the car, I don't know why you need that.
- 42:09Speaker 3: It's a weird gift to give a blind guy and
- 42:11Speaker 3: the fucking catch the mic stand ketch is insane.
- 42:15Speaker 2: Yeah, that video will always that will always hold a
- 42:18Speaker 2: place in my heart, even if it can be explained.
- 42:22Speaker 2: I don't want to hear it. I don't want to
- 42:23Speaker 2: hear it that that was Stevie Wonder in that moment, Like,
- 42:27Speaker 2: and are we sure Stevie Wonder's completely blind? Because no,
- 42:33Speaker 2: I think I've heard that thing where he like sways
- 42:38Speaker 2: from side to side. I I feel like I've heard
- 42:41Speaker 2: that that's because some blind people can like see a
- 42:44Speaker 2: little bit of light and shadows and stuff and that,
- 42:48Speaker 2: Oh it's him following that. But that's just me, that's
- 42:52Speaker 2: just me, Riffin. I would have to I would have
- 42:55Speaker 2: to do more research into blindness. And again, we are
- 42:58Speaker 2: not that kind of pod cast. No, don what do
- 43:01Speaker 2: you think we are?
- 43:03Speaker 3: Now? And I hope this hasn't offended anybody. Oh, it's
- 43:07Speaker 3: certainly probably really Oh, I think this is a very
- 43:10Speaker 3: harmless conspiracy period Like.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Yeah, and I I actually I don't think people will
- 43:16Speaker 2: be offended because I feel like we did do a
- 43:19Speaker 2: decent job of pointing out that, hey, this is this
- 43:22Speaker 2: is a little blind people can't do shit as far
- 43:25Speaker 2: as conspiracy people.
- 43:26Speaker 3: Are so mean. I've saked some of the videos where
- 43:29Speaker 3: he's like, what the fuck you should fucking was a
- 43:31Speaker 3: Knicks game? How do fuck does he know what the
- 43:33Speaker 3: Knicks are? Relax, he doesn't need to know that.
- 43:37Speaker 2: Yeah, Like, and I'm sure like you hear the descriptions
- 43:41Speaker 2: of stuff and you can probably just sort of piece
- 43:44Speaker 2: it together in your head. Yeah, Like backboard, that's pretty
- 43:48Speaker 2: self explanatory, hoop ball, put the ball in, hoop names people.
- 43:54Speaker 2: Some people do it more than others, Like, that's all.
- 43:57Speaker 2: Like people were listening to sports exclusively on the radio
- 44:01Speaker 2: for a long, long long time before TV.
- 44:05Speaker 3: Yeah, so you know, it's any. It's a super zany
- 44:09Speaker 3: conspiracy theory.
- 44:10Speaker 2: I mean the court side seats thing, if anything, just
- 44:13Speaker 2: strikes me as a waste of money.
- 44:17Speaker 3: But he has plenty of it.
- 44:19Speaker 2: So he's got money to waste, so it's fine.
- 44:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 44:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I get I get why people like cling to it,
- 44:26Speaker 2: because I mean, it is it's like a lot of
- 44:29Speaker 2: conspiracy theories in that most of it is rooted in
- 44:33Speaker 2: stuff we don't know. We're like the people pushing the theory,
- 44:38Speaker 2: like we're clearly not experts on blindness. And I'm sure
- 44:42Speaker 2: if someone would just ask, all of these things can
- 44:45Speaker 2: be pretty easily explained, like because again we explained some
- 44:48Speaker 2: of them, Like I guarantee him watching Atlanta is like
- 44:51Speaker 2: TV's are set up for that, like they do that now.
- 44:54Speaker 3: And Shack probably fucking smells like ass. There's no way
- 44:57Speaker 3: he's washing everything. He's not getting behind his kneecap, right, And.
- 45:03Speaker 2: The elevator thing, like, I'm sure if it's a place
- 45:06Speaker 2: he lives, I'm sure he's comfortable enough with where the
- 45:08Speaker 2: elevator button is to like use it himself. Like again, line,
- 45:14Speaker 2: people use elevators all the time.
- 45:15Speaker 3: And again, I don't think I'm not mad, you're you
- 45:19Speaker 3: don't see mad? That like off about him maybe being
- 45:23Speaker 3: able to see everybody's so mad at him that are
- 45:26Speaker 3: truthers of this. It's fucking crazy.
- 45:28Speaker 2: Yeah, that's nuts. I don't know why a person would
- 45:33Speaker 2: be mad at this life. So is it like cultural
- 45:36Speaker 2: appropriation or is it he's stealing from stealing his act
- 45:40Speaker 2: from the blind community, Like what is there to be
- 45:43Speaker 2: mad about? If Stevie Wonder was faking this?
- 45:46Speaker 3: It's like the most harmless conspiracy theory, Like yeah, that
- 45:50Speaker 3: the government was behind nine to eleven lives were lost,
- 45:55Speaker 3: no voice to lose their life because fucking Stevie Wonder
- 45:59Speaker 3: might be acting blind.
- 46:00Speaker 2: Yeah, we're not really accusing him of much other than
- 46:04Speaker 2: like making his life harder in public than it needs
- 46:06Speaker 2: to be, I don't know.
- 46:08Speaker 3: And being funny, very funny.
- 46:12Speaker 2: Yeah, Stevie Wonder does seem like a character. That's a
- 46:14Speaker 2: thing that comes up in the We Are the World
- 46:16Speaker 2: documentary too.
- 46:18Speaker 3: He's just way too amped about being blind and making
- 46:21Speaker 3: jokes about it. That's the off putting part.
- 46:24Speaker 2: Yeah, and he does do it in that documentary.
- 46:27Speaker 3: Oh my god, it's like, Steevie, we get it all right,
- 46:30Speaker 3: You're like, you're fine, man. We love you for your music.
- 46:34Speaker 2: Here's a fun sidebar. Do you think you can guess
- 46:36Speaker 2: who the rowdiest, drunkest person in the room was when
- 46:40Speaker 2: they recorded We Are the World? Sting al Giau?
- 46:44Speaker 3: Fuck is al Gireau?
- 46:47Speaker 2: I mean, I guess you'll have to look him up.
- 46:49Speaker 2: Like he's like he's an older singer, like he's uh,
- 46:53Speaker 2: he's definitely not the kind of singer you would think
- 46:56Speaker 2: of as being the fucking drunk guy in the room.
- 47:00Speaker 2: He was so hammered. I don't know, who al jiaux
- 47:03Speaker 2: is that I don't. Wow, Well, fine, never mind, I
- 47:07Speaker 2: take it back.
- 47:07Speaker 3: No, I mean now that I'm seeing him, like I've
- 47:10Speaker 3: heard some of his shit, But I think he was
- 47:13Speaker 3: just like super happy to be there.
- 47:15Speaker 2: No, he was. They talked about it. He was like
- 47:17Speaker 2: pounding bottles of wine, waiting around to sing his like
- 47:21Speaker 2: one line in the song. And by the time they
- 47:24Speaker 2: finally got to him singing, he was trashed barely sing
- 47:29Speaker 2: that one line. It was pretty great.
- 47:31Speaker 3: It was the eighties man like, Yeah, yeah, that's fine.
- 47:35Speaker 2: So I think that's our episode, right, Yes, I think
- 47:38Speaker 2: I still land on the side of Stevie Wonder being blind,
- 47:42Speaker 2: but superhero blind, like the kind of blind that can
- 47:46Speaker 2: catch your calling Mike's stand.
- 47:48Speaker 3: I'll agree to that. I can agree that that is
- 47:51Speaker 3: very plausible Stevie Wonder's Daredevil. Yeah.
- 47:54Speaker 2: Like Stevie Wonder is good at music, Like he's one
- 47:57Speaker 2: of the best ever at music. Yeah, should not shock
- 48:01Speaker 2: anyone that he might be the best at being blind,
- 48:06Speaker 2: Like he might be the maestro of being blind, Like
- 48:09Speaker 2: he might be able to drive and still be blind.
- 48:13Speaker 2: Stevie Wonder, his last name is Wonder a tiff.
- 48:17Speaker 3: It's actually like Judkins.
- 48:20Speaker 2: Yeah, his name Steveland Hardaway Judkins.
- 48:24Speaker 3: That's the weird part his name.
- 48:27Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, at least he never has to read his
- 48:30Speaker 2: real first name. See how weird it looks in print
- 48:35Speaker 2: because it's it's not right Steve, and Steveland's not even
- 48:40Speaker 2: spelled right. It should be spelled like Cleveland and it's not.
- 48:43Speaker 2: It's like Steveland.
- 48:44Speaker 3: Yes, and I copy that right from Wikipedia, so like
- 48:47Speaker 3: it's not like a fat finger.
- 48:49Speaker 2: Has his name been Steavy Wonder this whole time. That's
- 48:53Speaker 2: the conspiracy. So all right, we did it.
- 48:58Speaker 3: We did it a tiff.
- 49:00Speaker 2: Thank you so much for doing the pot Thank you.
- 49:03Speaker 3: I hope the notes were good enough. Steve YOUE Wonder.
- 49:06Speaker 2: Yeah, you are actually the first person to do notes
- 49:09Speaker 2: for one of these. Normally people just show up and talk.
- 49:12Speaker 2: So I appreciate it. Yeah, yeah, I felt like this
- 49:16Speaker 2: is a lot, probably a lot. How like Stevie Wonder
- 49:18Speaker 2: would do it? Someone else do the notes for him
- 49:22Speaker 2: and then the computer.
- 49:24Speaker 3: Yeah, hey, I thought it. You have to do if
- 49:27Speaker 3: it's your own conspiracy. That seems weird to throw something
- 49:30Speaker 3: at you and have you do homework.
- 49:31Speaker 2: No, I appreciate it. I appreciate it. Okay, Wow, what
- 49:37Speaker 2: do we have to plug before we get out of here?
- 49:40Speaker 2: We got a new merch store you don't Show Dot
- 49:43Speaker 2: Link slash shop. You can buy Conspiracy the Show shirts. There.
- 49:46Speaker 2: Go do that and follow me on Instagram at Adam
- 49:48Speaker 2: Todd Brown a Tiff. What do you got?
- 49:50Speaker 3: Just Addedive Myers on Twitter and Instagram. I'm working on things.
- 49:53Speaker 3: I don't know if I can talk about them, so
- 49:55Speaker 3: I'm not going to.
- 49:59Speaker 2: All right, let's get out of here. At Tiff say goodbye, goodbye,
- 50:02Speaker 2: goodbye everybody. We love you, people of Earth. You're trying
- 50:11Speaker 2: to just have to be destroyed, destroyed,
