- 0:06Speaker 1: Let's dive into tokeni's real world assets today and why
- 0:08Speaker 1: this could be a huge impact for the crypto community.
- 0:12Speaker 1: My name is Paul Barrow. Welcome back into tech Path.
- 0:14Speaker 1: I do want to think our sponsor today and that
- 0:16Speaker 1: is Uphold. You guys can jump over to Uphold, which
- 0:18Speaker 1: is just uphold dot com. You can earn up to
- 0:21Speaker 1: four point four percent apy on your US dollar balance
- 0:25Speaker 1: in there. That's no lock up and to a certain amount.
- 0:28Speaker 1: It has FDIC insurance, So check it out. Use our
- 0:31Speaker 1: link down below. It's going to give you a special
- 0:33Speaker 1: offer to get started on that.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Now.
- 0:36Speaker 1: We've had real world assets on the subject matter for
- 0:40Speaker 1: quite a while here on the show, and we wanted
- 0:42Speaker 1: to dive in a little bit deeper. And I wanted
- 0:43Speaker 1: to bring back one of our previous guests, which is
- 0:46Speaker 1: Monti Masker coming in from LCx. Great to see you again, MANI,
- 0:49Speaker 1: how are you, Paul?
- 0:50Speaker 2: Good to be under show?
- 0:52Speaker 3: I think tech Pass is really tagling the most important
- 0:55Speaker 3: topics and that's what we're going to do in this
- 0:57Speaker 3: today's show as well.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Listen, I want to get your pin on the XRP
- 1:02Speaker 1: Ripple Strategic Reserve position.
- 1:05Speaker 2: What are your.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Chances that you think Ripple is going to succeed in
- 1:09Speaker 1: getting XRP into into the reserve.
- 1:12Speaker 3: I think it's historic times. We have the first crypto
- 1:15Speaker 3: president in the United States, and he's also pushing global
- 1:19Speaker 3: markets as.
- 1:19Speaker 2: We can see now.
- 1:21Speaker 3: But this announcement and the presidential tweet where he mentioned
- 1:28Speaker 3: this US Strategic crypto reserve is really a mindste This
- 1:33Speaker 3: had been like a dream come true for the industry,
- 1:36Speaker 3: and obviously mentioning XRP as one of one of the
- 1:39Speaker 3: assets is yeah, move the markets.
- 1:44Speaker 2: A lot of speculation.
- 1:45Speaker 3: At the end of the day, they decided to go
- 1:47Speaker 3: with the pure bitcoin strategic reserve at the first step,
- 1:53Speaker 3: but we don't know what will happen now. In our opinion,
- 1:57Speaker 3: a strategic crypto reserve is something every country needs.
- 2:01Speaker 1: It's something to keep an eye on for sure. I
- 2:03Speaker 1: want to talk a little bit about and obviously we
- 2:05Speaker 1: want to talk about Tiaman's here in a second, but
- 2:07Speaker 1: I want to go into gold for a second, because
- 2:10Speaker 1: this is where we get into tokenized gold reserves. Is
- 2:13Speaker 1: this potentially more likely? This is a from the federal reserve,
- 2:17Speaker 1: and it says right here is Federal reserve on gold
- 2:20Speaker 1: or whole gold in exchange right now, the Secretary of
- 2:22Speaker 1: Treasury issued gold certificates for the Federal or to the
- 2:26Speaker 1: Federal Reserve, and the amount of gold transferred at the
- 2:30Speaker 1: then applicable statue statutory price that was held by the Treasury.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Do you think that we could get to a point
- 2:36Speaker 1: where tokenized gold could actually become a reality here, especially
- 2:41Speaker 1: here in the United States? What are your thoughts in.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Genero tokenization will bring the next wave of crypto adoption,
- 2:47Speaker 3: We will see ten or one hundred acts of the
- 2:50Speaker 3: current crypto market price or like the whole market cap
- 2:55Speaker 3: of the industry to develop and their gold play a
- 3:00Speaker 3: tremendous role because the accessibility as an investment class is
- 3:06Speaker 3: not that easy as you think. Buying physical gold for
- 3:10Speaker 3: you personally has a lot of risks.
- 3:12Speaker 2: So yeah, you ye need.
- 3:14Speaker 3: To be shifted, shipped, you need to store it, and
- 3:17Speaker 3: you need to keep it somewhere. So the idea of
- 3:21Speaker 3: a tokenized gold could really revolutionize and bring mass adoption
- 3:27Speaker 3: to gold as an investment class, but also for crypto
- 3:31Speaker 3: it could be the next bull run.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Yeah for sure. Well, we've talked about DeFi yields on
- 3:37Speaker 1: gold and USDC over at folks. If you guys. Have
- 3:41Speaker 1: we've shown this site before, but I'll zoom in here
- 3:44Speaker 1: on the lending pools, which is kind of crazy in
- 3:47Speaker 1: terms of the performance here if you look at just
- 3:49Speaker 1: USDC and gold right now performing at about almost eleven
- 3:53Speaker 1: percent apy, what do you think about this? Is this
- 3:56Speaker 1: something that is going to draw enough attention? Well, we
- 3:58Speaker 1: see this market possibly explode.
- 4:01Speaker 3: We believe in the future of tokenization and gold is
- 4:05Speaker 3: a key driver. And we've now seen the highest gold
- 4:08Speaker 3: price ever in history, more than three thousand dollars per ounce.
- 4:12Speaker 3: And now what we've encouraged our users is to buy
- 4:17Speaker 3: tokenized gold. So at times, I think when the show
- 4:22Speaker 3: is out, we will already have launched gold bars where
- 4:27Speaker 3: you can buy one NFT, which is equivalent to one
- 4:31Speaker 3: ounce gold bar at our platform. So this gives people
- 4:35Speaker 3: the ability to buy a digital representative, a digital twin
- 4:40Speaker 3: of a real gold bar. We store it free of change,
- 4:44Speaker 3: We ensure it free of change, so it is an
- 4:47Speaker 3: access to the actual underlying gold one oh one with
- 4:50Speaker 3: a non fungible token.
- 4:52Speaker 1: When is that going to go live?
- 4:53Speaker 3: The first gold bars have arrived in our votes in
- 4:56Speaker 3: Switzerland and now the team is preparing it.
- 5:00Speaker 2: So I can't say they sick dates, but it is
- 5:02Speaker 2: just a few days.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Coming soon, all right, all right, so when you probably.
- 5:06Speaker 3: As when the show here for our audience, you can
- 5:09Speaker 3: check it out at times that comment my life already.
- 5:12Speaker 1: So how will your tokenized gold differ from what, like
- 5:15Speaker 1: what Meld is doing. If you look at Meld, they're
- 5:18Speaker 1: using Augrand and then launching soon on the XRP ledger
- 5:21Speaker 1: as well, how will it different and what are you
- 5:24Speaker 1: guys using to kind of launch with TMN's.
- 5:27Speaker 3: So there are general fungible tokens like Meld, but also
- 5:32Speaker 3: like packs gold or tether gold.
- 5:35Speaker 2: There you can't.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Redeem it so easily, so you need to buy larger
- 5:38Speaker 3: amounts than redemption is complicated and you need to trust
- 5:42Speaker 3: the centralized entities. In our case, it is a one
- 5:46Speaker 3: to one tokenization. So we have one ounce gold box
- 5:49Speaker 3: and one ounce is one NFT, so there's a clear backing.
- 5:53Speaker 3: You get a certificate of ownership. You see the gold bar.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Each gold bar has a certain number in idea and
- 6:00Speaker 3: you actually can see it and look it up the
- 6:02Speaker 3: validility that your this is your gold bar and it's
- 6:07Speaker 3: in the volte. So this is a key differentiator. You
- 6:11Speaker 3: can actually get access to the physical gold while you
- 6:15Speaker 3: don't have to worry about the trading and the storing
- 6:18Speaker 3: and the shipping and the storage. So this is really
- 6:22Speaker 3: a game changer to buy into physical gold bars stored
- 6:26Speaker 3: in beautiful mountains of Switzerland.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Listnership.
- 6:29Speaker 1: I like it. So you look at the potential here
- 6:33Speaker 1: of people maybe taking the goal they have and trying
- 6:36Speaker 1: to figure out, well, maybe I could go ahead and
- 6:38Speaker 1: you know, tokenize my current goal. Right now, it looks
- 6:42Speaker 1: like meld is gone this way. They have some conversion
- 6:45Speaker 1: partners that they're using what looks to be some retail outlets,
- 6:49Speaker 1: but Bullion that is going right there on physical to digital,
- 6:54Speaker 1: which is kind of unique. Do you think we'll see
- 6:57Speaker 1: a new gold rush kind of where people have physical
- 7:00Speaker 1: goal that says, hey, just to your point, I want
- 7:02Speaker 1: to digitize this and put it into a tokenized security.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Are you guys planning that on doing anything like that?
- 7:08Speaker 2: Absolutely?
- 7:09Speaker 3: I mean, if you're if you're from the US, Singapore
- 7:12Speaker 3: or anywhere in the world, having gold in a physical
- 7:15Speaker 3: volt in Switzerland is a key benefits. Storage fees are
- 7:18Speaker 3: high normally, so we offer it free of charge and
- 7:22Speaker 3: you can then basically use our platform, which is similar
- 7:27Speaker 3: to a decentralized NFT marketplace like open c So you
- 7:30Speaker 3: connect your wallet, you buy the NFT and then you
- 7:33Speaker 3: can trade it, gift it, hold it, whatever you do.
- 7:37Speaker 1: What about your strategy here in the United States, We've
- 7:40Speaker 1: got what is now a very crypto and blockchain forward administration,
- 7:45Speaker 1: completely different than it was just you know, six eight
- 7:49Speaker 1: months ago. What about LCx. What are you guys looking
- 7:53Speaker 1: at doing here now for the United States? Are you
- 7:55Speaker 1: restructuring your plan to come here?
- 7:57Speaker 2: Yes, US is.
- 7:59Speaker 3: A game change of US. We had been tiptoeing into
- 8:02Speaker 3: the US markets previously, but we didn't launch and start
- 8:06Speaker 3: because of the kind of toxic environment. This has changed
- 8:10Speaker 3: now and LCx is known as the fastest growing European
- 8:15Speaker 3: centralized exchange. We are specialized in tokenization in terms of
- 8:20Speaker 3: becoming the centerpiece of the tokenization infrastructure in the future.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Time ins is our showcase and we are proud also
- 8:28Speaker 3: for you on your audience pall to let you know
- 8:32Speaker 3: that we have tokenized diamonds on the XP ledger already
- 8:36Speaker 3: and we will take the gold bars also on the
- 8:38Speaker 3: XP ledgers. These had been the immediately sold out our diamonds.
- 8:44Speaker 3: We are also offering that at USX, but we are
- 8:47Speaker 3: going all into tokenization.
- 8:50Speaker 1: All right, So are you available in the United States
- 8:53Speaker 1: on the countries and jurisdictions list that was on your website?
- 8:56Speaker 1: This was again back in September. Has that all changed?
- 9:00Speaker 2: Now?
- 9:00Speaker 1: Are you available in the US?
- 9:02Speaker 3: Well? US is still restricted as of today, but we
- 9:07Speaker 3: are had been invited by a few mayors and government
- 9:12Speaker 3: organizations to now open up shop. We are considering this
- 9:18Speaker 3: step and we are.
- 9:20Speaker 2: In heavy preparations for it.
- 9:22Speaker 3: I think US is now becoming the crypto capital. We
- 9:26Speaker 3: can profit from all the learnings we had of six
- 9:29Speaker 3: years being regulated out of Europe. So there's the saying
- 9:34Speaker 3: US innovates, Asia duplicates, and Europe regulates. So we are
- 9:40Speaker 3: now trying to make this add our advantage, saying we
- 9:44Speaker 3: can play with the rules and become the next generation of.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Crypto exchanges in the US.
- 9:49Speaker 3: What the US has given us in the last couple
- 9:52Speaker 3: of years is uncertainty, a fight, I would say, a
- 9:56Speaker 3: war against crypto. And this war has now ended and
- 10:00Speaker 3: it turned around into a field of opportunities.
- 10:03Speaker 1: So I want to kind of go through a few
- 10:05Speaker 1: questions here. They're kind of rapid fire, but one is
- 10:08Speaker 1: in reference to the bank regulation, which is really about
- 10:12Speaker 1: to change right now. The US banks now are allowed to,
- 10:15Speaker 1: as you put out on tweet right their custody crypto
- 10:18Speaker 1: mostly stable coins. I imagine holding deposits and stable coins
- 10:21Speaker 1: and then facilitate payments in stable cooin, which is something
- 10:24Speaker 1: we think is going to be a game changer here
- 10:27Speaker 1: when you look at the banking policies. This obviously is
- 10:31Speaker 1: going to boost tokenization globally. Do you think this is
- 10:35Speaker 1: going to impact what you guys are doing directly?
- 10:37Speaker 3: What we are seeing is the reinvention of the financial
- 10:41Speaker 3: monitoring system as we know it. Banks had been basically
- 10:46Speaker 3: not allowed to touch anything in crypto. We've seen it
- 10:49Speaker 3: for the crypto industry how hard it is to open
- 10:52Speaker 3: a bank account. Now banks are entering this field, and
- 10:56Speaker 3: for US entrepreneurs who have been early in the days.
- 10:59Speaker 3: We need to make sure sure that it don't eat
- 11:01Speaker 3: our lunch. We need to still be at the top
- 11:04Speaker 3: of it. But what's unlocking basically is that banks, federal
- 11:10Speaker 3: banks are really like pushing in their direction to be
- 11:14Speaker 3: part of the industry, and this will bring overall adoption
- 11:18Speaker 3: from hundreds of billions of crypto users to billions of crypto.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Users tokenized commodities. We watch the RWA dot xyz site
- 11:26Speaker 1: pretty heavily and one thing is I noticed is Monty
- 11:30Speaker 1: LCx is not on here. What are you going to
- 11:31Speaker 1: be on here? When are we going to see tokenized
- 11:33Speaker 1: diamonds on here as a commodity to show up? Because
- 11:36Speaker 1: that obviously tracks all the commodities. Okay, all right, cool,
- 11:40Speaker 1: Let's talk about gold a little bit further. Because Robinhood
- 11:44Speaker 1: is on the move, it's likely that they could launch
- 11:46Speaker 1: tokenized gold very soon. If they do, does that change
- 11:51Speaker 1: your strategy at all at LCx and do you think
- 11:53Speaker 1: that's going to be a big impact on the industry.
- 11:56Speaker 3: For the strategy for times and timements come, it's not
- 11:59Speaker 3: changing it because these tokens are normally non fungible, so
- 12:04Speaker 3: it's also not so easy to redeem at time. As
- 12:07Speaker 3: you have you get one NFT which represents a physical
- 12:12Speaker 3: gold bar, which is your gold bar stought in this world,
- 12:15Speaker 3: and it's always redeemable, so just contact the customer. Support
- 12:19Speaker 3: would be shipped to you can pick it up, and
- 12:22Speaker 3: you can also have a real time audit. Then what
- 12:24Speaker 3: we basically could imagine is taking this NFT and mint,
- 12:29Speaker 3: even a tether, gold or other fungible.
- 12:33Speaker 1: So I want to shift over to another area that
- 12:37Speaker 1: we have seen looking at tokenized assets and potentially going
- 12:43Speaker 1: into it. And this is a clip talking about specifically
- 12:46Speaker 1: the alcohol industry. I'll bring in a kind of explain
- 12:49Speaker 1: this here in a second. Let me play this clip
- 12:50Speaker 1: for you.
- 12:51Speaker 4: We've already been through it at a much lower level
- 12:54Speaker 4: and it was brutal.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Then how does that change how you sell the line?
- 12:58Speaker 4: For instance, do you pre I.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Mean, do you have a customer and they buy it
- 13:01Speaker 1: and then you bring it over so you're able to
- 13:03Speaker 1: cover that tariff? Me, how has it.
- 13:04Speaker 4: Changed Importers such as our cells distributors carry a portfolio
- 13:08Speaker 4: of wines. Twenty three percent of wines sold in the
- 13:11Speaker 4: US or from Europe. Twenty three percent of spirits sold
- 13:13Speaker 4: in the US are from Europe. So distributors carry a
- 13:16Speaker 4: full range of wines and spirits and they don't get
- 13:19Speaker 4: to replace one to one wines from Europe with wines
- 13:23Speaker 4: from the US. US wineries wineries from abroad. They don't
- 13:27Speaker 4: sell directly to retailers and restaurants. They sell to distributors,
- 13:31Speaker 4: and distributors sell on to restaurants and retailers. So one
- 13:35Speaker 4: dollar in wine from Europe actually accounts for four dollars
- 13:39Speaker 4: and fifty two cents of US sales. This is a
- 13:42Speaker 4: bit of a dagger, or a potential.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Dagger, So he hit it right there. I mean, the
- 13:47Speaker 1: alcohol industry has faced with some pretty big issues here
- 13:50Speaker 1: with these terrafs inbound, and one of the things that
- 13:53Speaker 1: has been looked at here recently is tokenized commodities like
- 13:58Speaker 1: collecting wine and some of the artists and spirits that
- 14:00Speaker 1: could slow down the potential for tokenized you know, beverage,
- 14:06Speaker 1: like in the scenarios that we're seeing here because wine,
- 14:09Speaker 1: luxury goods. Obviously we've talked about it, you know, in
- 14:12Speaker 1: the side of things like everything from watches, you could
- 14:15Speaker 1: go even in scenarios of handbags and things like that,
- 14:19Speaker 1: they could flow into this. Do you think it's will
- 14:20Speaker 1: slow down the tear of specifically slowing down tokenized assets
- 14:26Speaker 1: in the future.
- 14:27Speaker 2: It might slow down.
- 14:28Speaker 3: It will have a tremendous impact on global trades in
- 14:32Speaker 3: terms of investments. We've seen it in the past decades
- 14:35Speaker 3: already with these free ports where you buy an acid
- 14:39Speaker 3: like a picasso, your favorite watch or something else. Which
- 14:43Speaker 3: should be taxed the moment you import it into your country,
- 14:47Speaker 3: but the people, the investors just leave it in these
- 14:49Speaker 3: free ports, not being text and this is kind of
- 14:54Speaker 3: in a kind of a very millionaire's bubble. But now
- 14:57Speaker 3: talking about tokenization would open up so you could buy
- 15:01Speaker 3: your Rolex watch this is stored in Switzerland, for example.
- 15:05Speaker 3: You could buy your wines and everything without sending them
- 15:10Speaker 3: to the US, which would trigger this import taxes. Nevertheless,
- 15:14Speaker 3: I believe that your president is a deal maker. He
- 15:17Speaker 3: is now pressuring other countries with tariffs. We see this
- 15:22Speaker 3: trade war, and ultimately, you know in Europe it had
- 15:27Speaker 3: been triggered also as they introduced a fifty percent import
- 15:30Speaker 3: tax on whiskey, American whiskey. So Trump is not holding
- 15:35Speaker 3: back and saying I don't like that, We fire back
- 15:38Speaker 3: with a two hundred percent increase on your French wine. Ultimately,
- 15:44Speaker 3: he's a dealmaker, so he wants a global trade probably
- 15:48Speaker 3: at zero import Texas everywhere, but he demands that also
- 15:52Speaker 3: from other countries. And also this global settlement in trade
- 15:57Speaker 3: is a key topic. So whatever you buy or ship,
- 16:00Speaker 3: whether it's stored in a local freeport or storage facility
- 16:05Speaker 3: like what we use the global settlement is the is
- 16:08Speaker 3: the crucial part because banks are living in this outdated,
- 16:13Speaker 3: fragmented silos which I'm not talking to each other, so
- 16:17Speaker 3: sending money from Singapore to US takes longer than sending
- 16:22Speaker 3: an email.
- 16:22Speaker 1: All right, So let's jump over to blockchains for the
- 16:26Speaker 1: RWA and I look at your website. The potential here
- 16:30Speaker 1: for the most volume for you guys is do you
- 16:33Speaker 1: feel like it's going to happen on Ripple or XRP
- 16:37Speaker 1: or is it going to happen on Cardono or potentially
- 16:40Speaker 1: other blockchains in the future, which one is the most
- 16:44Speaker 1: And even Slana to a certain ex I guess are
- 16:46Speaker 1: you on Slana now? Is that coming?
- 16:49Speaker 2: We are?
- 16:50Speaker 1: Okay, we are, so which blockchain contributes the most volume
- 16:53Speaker 1: right now for you guys?
- 16:54Speaker 2: So we follow the demand.
- 16:56Speaker 3: We are blockchain agnostics, so we started with theory on
- 17:00Speaker 3: we launched Solana, Kadano and also xp ledger. Actually, in
- 17:06Speaker 3: terms of demand, we saw the highest demand like being
- 17:09Speaker 3: sold out with from the xop community. This was really
- 17:15Speaker 3: mind boggling to see the demand of real world assets
- 17:19Speaker 3: on our platform. So ultimately, you know, we don't know
- 17:23Speaker 3: where the market will be going, but we are open
- 17:27Speaker 3: to play with any blockchain.
- 17:29Speaker 1: So to be clear, XRP is the highest demand right now.
- 17:33Speaker 1: I want to go over to a couple of things
- 17:35Speaker 1: within this, because this is in a document that you
- 17:38Speaker 1: guys had and kind of breaking this down, and the
- 17:41Speaker 1: idea of what's going on here is really around who
- 17:45Speaker 1: is the potential true winner in tokenized assets when you
- 17:49Speaker 1: look at this. So in that pdf you mentioned something
- 17:53Speaker 1: specific to uniswap here and that was really my question
- 17:56Speaker 1: is you know when you look at commodities or other things,
- 18:00Speaker 1: we see decentralized tokenized assets become the new wave of
- 18:05Speaker 1: the future versus the regulated model that seems to be
- 18:09Speaker 1: rising right now. What are your thoughts on that.
- 18:13Speaker 3: So, decentralized networks will play a tremendous role in the
- 18:16Speaker 3: tokenization because ultimately, in simple worlds, we are kicking out
- 18:22Speaker 3: the middleman. This is the case now that you could
- 18:26Speaker 3: issue even securities as a company directly with all the
- 18:31Speaker 3: disclosures without having a stock exchange license or something like that.
- 18:38Speaker 3: So technology which is enabled to kick out the middleman
- 18:42Speaker 3: and the investors could invest directly in the companies, whether
- 18:46Speaker 3: they're in Latin America and the US or in Asia,
- 18:50Speaker 3: and we actually go in a hybrid model, so we
- 18:53Speaker 3: do have a centralized approach as well as the decentralized approach.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Details will be yet later this year, but we are
- 19:00Speaker 3: working on something which is enabling exactly that, offering the
- 19:06Speaker 3: market or decentralized access to kind of a direct to
- 19:11Speaker 3: consumer access as well as institutions a way that bigger
- 19:17Speaker 3: banks said they need some centralized custody solutions, and that's
- 19:22Speaker 3: also something which we are planning to provide.
- 19:24Speaker 1: So why not launch your own blockchain? Why not just
- 19:28Speaker 1: go ahead and just roll out a blockchain for LCx
- 19:31Speaker 1: to deal with. Obviously that would be benefiting both centralized
- 19:34Speaker 1: as or decentralized as well as just what you guys
- 19:38Speaker 1: are trying to do in terms of tokenized assets. What
- 19:41Speaker 1: would hold you back at.
- 19:43Speaker 3: The moment, Nothing is holding us back from the technology side.
- 19:46Speaker 3: It's something which we discussed many times, and we do
- 19:49Speaker 3: see that coinbase and kracken had been launching their own
- 19:53Speaker 3: blockchains with different approaches. I don't think that the mean
- 19:58Speaker 3: coin approach from coin base is something more which is
- 20:03Speaker 3: literally lasting. So we take a different approach, but you know,
- 20:08Speaker 3: it's also the right moment in time when to launch
- 20:12Speaker 3: the product innovation, and sometimes it's better to wait a
- 20:15Speaker 3: little bit.
- 20:16Speaker 1: So if you did launch it, what sounds like you're
- 20:19Speaker 1: going to at some point down the road, which chain
- 20:22Speaker 1: would you choose? I'm looking at doing right here. This
- 20:24Speaker 1: is just tokenization market cap by blockchain. Obviously we know
- 20:29Speaker 1: the kings of that, and that has been mostly in
- 20:33Speaker 1: the side of Ethereum. Then of course you have Stellar etc.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Kind of rolling into that. What would be the future
- 20:39Speaker 1: here for you guys if you were to choose now.
- 20:41Speaker 3: So Paul, I don't know exactly and I don't want
- 20:44Speaker 3: to disclose technology details, but what I can tell you
- 20:48Speaker 3: is it won't be on ethereum because all the assets
- 20:53Speaker 3: what we are going to what we talked about, from
- 20:56Speaker 3: financial instruments to tokenized assets, they need a different settlement
- 21:01Speaker 3: layer which is much faster and probably also offering a
- 21:07Speaker 3: hybrid model between private and public disclosures where you know
- 21:12Speaker 3: some of the financial market players and they need some
- 21:16Speaker 3: form of privacy. So if some the Bank of America
- 21:22Speaker 3: would step in, they don't want to disclose all their
- 21:25Speaker 3: transactions like it is on a theory.
- 21:27Speaker 1: They blockchain out there. XRP Ledger would be a good one.
- 21:31Speaker 1: You know, you could go right there to it and
- 21:35Speaker 1: and oh I like that. Okay, that's all I needed.
- 21:38Speaker 1: I can see you're dodging the question a little bit.
- 21:40Speaker 1: I can fully understand. Strategy is an important thing.
- 21:42Speaker 3: And ultimately, like what we want is that we don't
- 21:46Speaker 3: talk about the technology anymore, whether it's XRP or something else.
- 21:51Speaker 3: But what really matters is that everybody is using it.
- 21:56Speaker 3: So now you don't say I am I connected to
- 22:00Speaker 3: GTP protocol or.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Wi Fi.
- 22:04Speaker 3: You would just like your online all the time, and
- 22:07Speaker 3: this will be a here as well. Everything will be
- 22:10Speaker 3: in the blockchain.
- 22:11Speaker 1: I used to believe that that, you know, that the
- 22:14Speaker 1: blockchain would kind of become somewhat fade to black, you know,
- 22:18Speaker 1: kind of scenario. But now I watch certain industries that
- 22:23Speaker 1: have more efficient tools, and when you look at the
- 22:26Speaker 1: technology behind those companies that are much more efficient, you
- 22:30Speaker 1: realize they do have a technology advantage. And I think
- 22:33Speaker 1: that's going to happen in the blockchain space. I used
- 22:35Speaker 1: to think it wouldn't as much. Now I'm starting to
- 22:38Speaker 1: see the use cases start to play out. Speed is
- 22:42Speaker 1: going to be very important, Security is going to be
- 22:45Speaker 1: extremely important, and I think also reputation that these blockchains
- 22:49Speaker 1: have in the market because people are watching this stuff
- 22:51Speaker 1: kind of go through the regulatory framework, and now you
- 22:54Speaker 1: have a president out there spouting tokens. Is it's going
- 22:58Speaker 1: to matter, I think in the future for sure. So
- 23:02Speaker 1: we're going to be watching this one closely, Monty, very
- 23:04Speaker 1: closely on what you guys are doing. So thanks again
- 23:06Speaker 1: for coming in today. We appreciate it.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Bet all right, you guys jump into the Diamond Circle.
- 23:12Speaker 1: This is our own private group. It's a great place
- 23:14Speaker 1: for you guys to get additional content from us. Also,
- 23:17Speaker 1: you can get in our one to one conversation over
- 23:20Speaker 1: on our telegram group. We only have one, so just
- 23:22Speaker 1: be aware. Sometimes you'll get people out there trying to
- 23:25Speaker 1: tell you there's another one. No, that's not true. The
- 23:27Speaker 1: one we always link to is right here on our
- 23:29Speaker 1: channel or on our website that will take you to
- 23:32Speaker 1: our private telegram group that you guys can join there
- 23:34Speaker 1: and of course follow me out there on x at
- 23:37Speaker 1: Paul Baron. We'll catch next time right here on Techpath
