Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: What it do we back again the Grounded Show? I
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know what episode we on. This last couple of
- 0:07Speaker 1: weeks been a whirlwind, but what did do we back
- 0:10Speaker 1: with the boy Quincy, Jamal Lester Sanchez and Joe Fernie. Sure,
- 0:17Speaker 1: how y'all been?
- 0:17Speaker 2: Man?
- 0:17Speaker 1: This is like this is I've noticed online that this
- 0:20Speaker 1: has become notoriously the week of like people officially getting
- 0:24Speaker 1: back to like the swing of things, you know what
- 0:25Speaker 1: I mean, basically Christmas, New Year's even like Thanksgiving before that,
- 0:29Speaker 1: people already start catching the senior writists and Thanksgiving. So
- 0:33Speaker 1: it's like this is like the first real week of
- 0:36Speaker 1: the year, even though New Year's was last week.
- 0:38Speaker 3: Yep, back to normalcy.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Yeah, man, not gonna lie. Man, it's been Uh, it's
- 0:45Speaker 1: been welcome for me man and my fan bro, because
- 0:48Speaker 1: you know, we lost our family dog over the holiday break,
- 0:52Speaker 1: so it was super tough. So you know, today I
- 0:54Speaker 1: took my son to his basketball evaluations. He started a
- 0:58Speaker 1: new season again. My daughter just got news that she's
- 1:02Speaker 1: going to be the lead in her play at her school.
- 1:05Speaker 1: You know, they just went back to school today, and
- 1:06Speaker 1: it's like everything's like on the up and up. So
- 1:09Speaker 1: I'm super happy for them, man, because it was it
- 1:12Speaker 1: was a rough morning today. For sure. It's been a
- 1:15Speaker 1: rough couple of weeks, like I said, and I'm just
- 1:17Speaker 1: glad to start getting everything kind of back together and
- 1:19Speaker 1: be able to kind of look forward again, you know.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Yeah, some to get their minds into something else.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Yeah, man, for sure, it's it's bro. We talked. We
- 1:29Speaker 1: talked about it last week and I'm not gonna get
- 1:31Speaker 1: too deep on it today, but you know, bro, And
- 1:34Speaker 1: then thanks thank you to everybody that reached out to
- 1:36Speaker 1: me too, because that really opened my eyes to like
- 1:39Speaker 1: how like how impactful it is to lose a dog.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Just hearing everybody's stories and just seeing how like they're
- 1:45Speaker 1: taking the time to hit me up and everything. It's
- 1:48Speaker 1: just definitely eye opening. It makes me feel better about
- 1:51Speaker 1: how I feel and understanding that I'm not like doing
- 1:55Speaker 1: too much with how I feel.
- 1:56Speaker 2: You know what I mean.
- 1:58Speaker 1: So it's definitely been been a huge help, you know.
- 2:03Speaker 1: But yeah, man, last night, Man, that that Monday Night
- 2:07Speaker 1: Raw on Netflix. They just made the switch. First time
- 2:12Speaker 1: Raw is not on like traditional TV. It's gonna be
- 2:16Speaker 1: on Netflix. It's just like a catch twenty two because
- 2:19Speaker 1: you're not on traditional TV, but at the same time,
- 2:22Speaker 1: you're on Netflix that's international. So many more people have
- 2:25Speaker 1: Netflix than cable. You know, there's a big difference between
- 2:28Speaker 1: ten dollars for Netflix and fifty to sixty bucks a
- 2:31Speaker 1: month for even the most basic cable package.
- 2:34Speaker 2: You know.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Facts it was smart for both parties for sure.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Yeah, definitely feel like they saw the signs because even
- 2:42Speaker 1: like even something that's happening now with the NBA, not
- 2:46Speaker 1: so much the NFL, but you know, ratings decline. People
- 2:49Speaker 1: people are not just gonna sit around and watch something
- 2:51Speaker 1: for three hours no more. Bro Like back in the day,
- 2:54Speaker 1: there wasn't that much stuff to do. There wasn't that
- 2:57Speaker 1: many channels, There was no Internet, YouTube, all that stuf.
- 3:00Speaker 1: So it was like whatever it was on TV was
- 3:01Speaker 1: what you was watching in your house. You had no
- 3:03Speaker 1: other choice unless you had your own you know, video
- 3:06Speaker 1: cassettes or DVDs or whatever. So before obviously you're gonna
- 3:11Speaker 1: have eight ten million people gather around the TV on
- 3:15Speaker 1: a Monday night to watch raw because it's something different.
- 3:18Speaker 1: There's not a lot of options, so you're gonna tap
- 3:20Speaker 1: in Now as things have been progressing and just so
- 3:24Speaker 1: many things for people to watch and consume. Nobody's gonna
- 3:27Speaker 1: sit around and watch wrestling like that, especially a casual fan.
- 3:30Speaker 1: But somebody might be scrolling through their Netflix and remember
- 3:34Speaker 1: they used to watch wrestling. See a little snippet of
- 3:36Speaker 1: an old wrestler they remember, you know, John Cena or something. Oh,
- 3:40Speaker 1: let me check this out, you know what I mean.
- 3:42Speaker 1: There's definitely a dope move. Love how they kind of
- 3:45Speaker 1: updated the presentation. It just had definitely a bigger feel.
- 3:49Speaker 1: It felt more like a you know, in a funny way,
- 3:52Speaker 1: it kind of felt to me like a The Zone
- 3:55Speaker 1: pay per view.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:57Speaker 1: I don't know if it was like they used the
- 3:59Speaker 1: same camera and I don't know, but it just felt
- 4:01Speaker 1: like kind of like the same as like the Jake
- 4:03Speaker 1: Paul fight. You know, that kind of feel and that
- 4:05Speaker 1: kind of look to it. It kind of gave me
- 4:07Speaker 1: that the Jake Paul Mike Tyson what I'm talking about,
- 4:09Speaker 1: But it kind of gave me that same kind of vibe.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Yeah, same production. But I also thought those those events
- 4:15Speaker 2: gave me a WWE kind of broadcasting vibe.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I get what you're saying, Like like they well,
- 4:22Speaker 1: it kind of goes back even like super far to
- 4:24Speaker 1: like the XFL and Vince McMahon introducing certain camera techniques
- 4:29Speaker 1: and different angles and camera styles to sports that the
- 4:35Speaker 1: NFL adopted and the NBA adopted, you know what I'm saying.
- 4:37Speaker 1: So it kind of goes like back and forth. But
- 4:40Speaker 1: it's funny. It's funny you said that, because it really
- 4:42Speaker 1: is kind of something that they kind of originated, and
- 4:45Speaker 1: it's like now with the different production value, it feels different,
- 4:48Speaker 1: and they obviously did different things, but it's you know,
- 4:52Speaker 1: it's still kind of like the WWE presentation, you know.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I did not expect so many ads though. There
- 5:02Speaker 2: were a lot of ads, a lot of ww ads,
- 5:04Speaker 2: but just ads in general, but a little more strategic
- 5:07Speaker 2: about it because they're not forced to fit in a
- 5:09Speaker 2: certain timeframe. So like they prepare for the ads, they
- 5:13Speaker 2: let the wrestlers walk out, and they ran some ads
- 5:16Speaker 2: in they started the match, as opposed to dropping the
- 5:19Speaker 2: ad right before some crazy shit happens outside of the
- 5:24Speaker 2: ring or something. But I did not expect that, I
- 5:26Speaker 2: will say that.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I know you weren't able to catch a quincy.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Yesterday was your wife's birthday. Happy birthday to her. I
- 5:34Speaker 1: y'all had a good time and even I would like
- 5:39Speaker 1: to get your perspective, even if you didn't watch it,
- 5:41Speaker 1: even if you didn't catch none of it, just kind
- 5:43Speaker 1: of like the hype you heard behind it, your interest level,
- 5:47Speaker 1: if you heard anybody else talk about it, did you
- 5:49Speaker 1: see it on your social feed? You know what I'm saying, Like,
- 5:51Speaker 1: even though somebody didn't tappen.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I saw it a lot. Shout out to Sports
- 5:56Speaker 3: in her They covered a lot, you know, more than
- 6:00Speaker 3: normal or more than usual of you know, kind of
- 6:04Speaker 3: what happened last night on social media and stuff like that,
- 6:06Speaker 3: because you know, wrestling gets covered, but not like it
- 6:09Speaker 3: was yesterday. I feel like they showed a lot of
- 6:12Speaker 3: clips of just that experience. So even though I only
- 6:17Speaker 3: got to catch like a little peak of it, I
- 6:18Speaker 3: did get a decent amount from social media. And one
- 6:22Speaker 3: of the things I did see was that, you know,
- 6:24Speaker 3: Triple A's basically saying that, you know, the episodes aren't
- 6:28Speaker 3: going to be predicted time of three hours every time
- 6:32Speaker 3: now because of the Netflix you know, not rules, but
- 6:36Speaker 3: basically because of the flexibility exactly, it can be forty minutes,
- 6:42Speaker 3: it could be four hours, but it just depends on
- 6:44Speaker 3: what story they're trying to tell that day, and I'm like,
- 6:46Speaker 3: that's pretty dope.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I actually did hear that clip and he kind
- 6:49Speaker 1: of mentioned I believe you mentioned the Sopranos maybe, but
- 6:52Speaker 1: he was just mentioning shows like that's you know, shows
- 6:56Speaker 1: on streaming or on like a service like HBO or whatever.
- 6:59Speaker 1: You can watch it. It could be forty minutes one week,
- 7:03Speaker 1: maybe the next week fifty five, you know what I mean,
- 7:05Speaker 1: Like it just depends on what you need to tell
- 7:08Speaker 1: that story. And so yeah, I definitely seen that. I
- 7:11Speaker 1: thought that was interesting. I liked how bruh the crazy
- 7:16Speaker 1: part to be that was like, yo, for sure, this
- 7:19Speaker 1: is new. This is a new era for them. When
- 7:22Speaker 1: Travis Scott came out with ja ou Soo smoking a
- 7:25Speaker 1: big joint, Yeah, he wasn't just holding it with the
- 7:29Speaker 1: smoke coming out. He was taking big clouds like just
- 7:34Speaker 1: vibing like you know they coming down the ramp. He
- 7:36Speaker 1: came to the ring with it, bro like it was crazy, dog,
- 7:39Speaker 1: it was crazy. That was like a for real, like
- 7:42Speaker 1: it gave me that like attitude era vibe. But like
- 7:45Speaker 1: this is a cool show to be at, you know
- 7:47Speaker 1: what I mean, Like it would have been cool to
- 7:48Speaker 1: be there. It would have been cool to feel that energy.
- 7:51Speaker 1: What they're doing is like not so corny like they
- 7:53Speaker 1: always was doing before, you know what I mean.
- 7:56Speaker 2: And I saw real quick on that part. I thought
- 8:00Speaker 2: it was like a month. I saw a clip a
- 8:01Speaker 2: month ago Triple H was at a Travis Scott concert
- 8:05Speaker 2: on stage with him. So Travis Scott had brought him out,
- 8:08Speaker 2: and Travis Scott had the belt on him. He's like,
- 8:10Speaker 2: because he has a hardcore champ belt, and he's like,
- 8:13Speaker 2: when can I actually debut this? And then that's when
- 8:15Speaker 2: Triple H announced He's like January sixth, Monday Night Raw
- 8:20Speaker 2: on Netflix, and so this was set up for a minute,
- 8:23Speaker 2: and it was when he was performing Fiend too, and
- 8:25Speaker 2: that's a sign came out too. So it's dope, like
- 8:28Speaker 2: they're playing both sides of it, you know, not just
- 8:31Speaker 2: rappers in wrestling, also wrestling in rap.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Yeah, you knowing low key to shout out to Travis Scott, Bro,
- 8:39Speaker 1: he's still doing these brand and partnership deals on a
- 8:42Speaker 1: major level. Bro. It's been like maybe seven six seven
- 8:47Speaker 1: years or so since he really started tapping into that.
- 8:50Speaker 1: You know, he did collapse with Madonnald's PlayStation Nike college football,
- 8:56Speaker 1: college football? You know he did. I think he did
- 8:59Speaker 1: like a collabs with a tennis player one time, like
- 9:02Speaker 1: like a like a merch line or something. I mean
- 9:04Speaker 1: one's yeah. I mean he's all over the place and
- 9:08Speaker 1: the best way possible. Bro, I would love to see
- 9:12Speaker 1: him in like a long form interview just talking to
- 9:15Speaker 1: like a credible journalist or somebody in music that's respected,
- 9:19Speaker 1: just to kind of get into like a Rick Rubin
- 9:21Speaker 1: or something where you really get to see, like, where
- 9:24Speaker 1: are these ideas coming from for what you guys are doing?
- 9:27Speaker 1: The inspiration behind the looks, the vibes all that stuff,
- 9:30Speaker 1: because the dude is like a never ending I don't
- 9:33Speaker 1: know if it's his team, him whatever, I know, I'm
- 9:35Speaker 1: pretty sure it's probably a mix of both. But it's
- 9:37Speaker 1: like a never ending stream of just like dope ideas,
- 9:40Speaker 1: new innovative ways to kind of do the stuff that
- 9:43Speaker 1: everybody else is doing, but just in a way that
- 9:45Speaker 1: stands out. And it's really something that I was just
- 9:48Speaker 1: seeing yesterday, Like, Bro, he's out here in WWE and
- 9:53Speaker 1: he's not looking corny like a lot of people look
- 9:56Speaker 1: when they do things like that, you know what, I
- 9:58Speaker 1: like a lot of times you get somebody in that setting,
- 10:00Speaker 1: they kind of look out of place. Maybe they get
- 10:02Speaker 1: convinced to like get on the mic when it's not
- 10:04Speaker 1: their strong suit. But you could tell he knows what
- 10:06Speaker 1: his brand is, he knows what he's on. He went
- 10:08Speaker 1: out and did what he did according to what makes
- 10:11Speaker 1: sense for his brand and what he's doing, and I
- 10:15Speaker 1: think it just worked out super dope. I love the
- 10:18Speaker 1: main event. You know, see him punk first match on
- 10:21Speaker 1: Raw since twenty eleven, He's only been back in the
- 10:24Speaker 1: WWE for like a year or so, but he hasn't
- 10:27Speaker 1: wrestled on Raw. He's just kind of made appearances and stuff.
- 10:30Speaker 1: So it was dope to see that. I mean, it's
- 10:33Speaker 1: crazy to think about when he left, and I think
- 10:35Speaker 1: it was twenty fourteen, bro, Like just the fallout from
- 10:39Speaker 1: that and him smearing WWE's name all over the place
- 10:43Speaker 1: to anybody that would listen, just the journey that it
- 10:46Speaker 1: took to get here. Like if you would have told
- 10:49Speaker 1: me in twenty fourteen, hey man, ten years from now,
- 10:52Speaker 1: Roll's going to be on Netflix debuting at the beginning
- 10:55Speaker 1: of the year, and see him Punk is going to
- 10:57Speaker 1: be in the main been, Like, there's no way, bro,
- 11:00Speaker 1: but it's like the thing in wrestling dog something that
- 11:03Speaker 1: even John Cena touched on when he was on the
- 11:05Speaker 1: show yesterday, Like a thing of wrestling is you never
- 11:07Speaker 1: say never. Yeah, at first, he's like, there's no chance
- 11:10Speaker 1: that I'm gonna be able to win my record seventeen
- 11:13Speaker 1: championship this year because he's going on his retirement tour
- 11:16Speaker 1: last year wrestling, and then he kind of corrected him,
- 11:19Speaker 1: so he's like, hold on, man, this is wrestling. We
- 11:21Speaker 1: got to rule around here. You never say never. So
- 11:24Speaker 1: that was that was definitely dope seeing him and just
- 11:29Speaker 1: kind of interested in seeing how this year plays out
- 11:32Speaker 1: for him. As far as like his swan song, you
- 11:35Speaker 1: know what I.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Mean, I like that because they don't when it's an
- 11:39Speaker 2: official retirement, they don't really do that because everybody comes back.
- 11:43Speaker 2: How many times Taker came back, you know what I'm
- 11:45Speaker 2: saying that the Rock came back. So if John Cena
- 11:49Speaker 2: is serious about this retirement, give him his farewell tour
- 11:54Speaker 2: and let everybody enjoy that.
- 11:56Speaker 1: I think he kind of gave himself a little out
- 11:58Speaker 1: there though, because he kind of said, like this is
- 12:01Speaker 1: going to be his last full time year as a wrestler.
- 12:04Speaker 1: You know what I mean, So we could definitely see
- 12:06Speaker 1: him here and there. I feel like, especially him, that
- 12:08Speaker 1: wrestling is sowing his blood, you know what I mean.
- 12:11Speaker 2: He says something crazy like he hasn't won in twenty
- 12:13Speaker 2: seven matches or something.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Bro, two thousand something days has been since he won
- 12:19Speaker 1: his last match. Because you got to think about it
- 12:21Speaker 1: like this too. He's doing a lot of stuff in Hollywood,
- 12:24Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, The Peacemaker Show, the stuff
- 12:26Speaker 1: with DC, the movies that he's done. So he's only
- 12:30Speaker 1: in wrestling like maybe a month out of the year
- 12:34Speaker 1: like the last few years, you know what I'm saying.
- 12:37Speaker 1: So imagine, Bro, he's just coming back doing a quick
- 12:40Speaker 1: little thing, and if you're not going to be there,
- 12:42Speaker 1: they're not going to put him in a championship match
- 12:44Speaker 1: and he's not going to win, you know what I'm saying.
- 12:45Speaker 1: He's not just gonna win and leave, you know what
- 12:47Speaker 1: I'm saying. So like they've just been using him a
- 12:50Speaker 1: certain way, and now it's like, Okay, now we're actually
- 12:53Speaker 1: going to get to John Cena that we remember. Let's
- 12:55Speaker 1: see what they actually do. I kind of wanted him
- 12:58Speaker 1: to wrestle yesterday, even if it was just a quick
- 13:00Speaker 1: match with a bum, you know what I'm saying. Somebody
- 13:02Speaker 1: come down and rupt him and he just hit him
- 13:04Speaker 1: with a couple moves, and you know, we see him
- 13:07Speaker 1: back in the ring, but that that's something I do
- 13:09Speaker 1: miss from back in the day. Dog Like they would
- 13:11Speaker 1: just bring it here. Yeah, bro looking, they would make
- 13:15Speaker 1: him look so square. They will give you the worst name.
- 13:17Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. It's like you knew this
- 13:21Speaker 1: guy had no chance, bro, Bro, Spike.
- 13:27Speaker 3: Spike Dudley used to he'll like take a whooping. That's
- 13:30Speaker 3: really like I feel like if you could name a
- 13:33Speaker 3: few like wrestlers that really like got beat up and
- 13:37Speaker 3: just kept going Spike Dudley, Shae McMahon, You know what
- 13:41Speaker 3: I mean.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Dog, I felt like Spike Dudley's mom when I watched
- 13:44Speaker 1: him wrestling Dog. Every time I see Spike Dudley get
- 13:47Speaker 1: tossed on the back of his head, Bro, I'm like, oh, dear,
- 13:52Speaker 1: I could not believe it. Bro, this guy was just
- 13:54Speaker 1: taking hits. Like I remember one time brock Lesnar like
- 14:01Speaker 1: power bombed him a few times in the middle of
- 14:03Speaker 1: the ring, and he like didn't let him go, Like
- 14:05Speaker 1: he power bombed him his eyes back up, power Dog.
- 14:10Speaker 1: The way this dude was hitting the matt, bro Ain't
- 14:14Speaker 1: no way his his like mental capacity is the same
- 14:18Speaker 1: today as it was the day before he got stepped
- 14:20Speaker 1: on his head by brock leslar dog. Because he was
- 14:23Speaker 1: getting pounded against the matt. You know, he looked like
- 14:25Speaker 1: you know that that little paddle with the ball at
- 14:27Speaker 1: the end of it when he was little kids, That's
- 14:29Speaker 1: what he looked like against the bottom of the ring.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Just it was crazy, bro Yo. Something I wanted to
- 14:37Speaker 1: talk about from that too that I found hilarious bro
- 14:42Speaker 1: Hogan's reaction, So you know, this whole Hogan thing goes back,
- 14:48Speaker 1: bro he was everybody's guy. He had the Hogan knows
- 14:52Speaker 1: Best show, that famous clip of him in the car
- 14:55Speaker 1: right into that g Z when it dropped that I
- 14:57Speaker 1: love it, he ran it back like eighty times. Yeah,
- 15:00Speaker 1: you ever seen that clip, bro Broke Hogan and in
- 15:04Speaker 1: a yellow whip, I forgot what it was like a
- 15:05Speaker 1: pickup truck. He got that young jeezy as soon as
- 15:08Speaker 1: it drop, Bro, he heard I love it, and he was.
- 15:11Speaker 1: He was enamored by it so much he just kept
- 15:13Speaker 1: replaying it. It was like a reality show Back of
- 15:15Speaker 1: the Day and it was his show. He just replayed
- 15:18Speaker 1: singing a law Yeah, I used to watch it too,
- 15:20Speaker 1: singing along all hype and everything. Fast forward to the
- 15:24Speaker 1: the Gawker Lawsuit, which is basically like a leaked sex
- 15:27Speaker 1: tape and some phone calls and stuff that happened. Yeah,
- 15:31Speaker 1: some radio holes that he was cool with a whole
- 15:34Speaker 1: big thing, but basically what happened there is a phone
- 15:37Speaker 1: call leak where he was saying the N word on
- 15:39Speaker 1: the call, like he was specifically talking about his daughter
- 15:43Speaker 1: and like he didn't want her hanging out with black people.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Like and everybody obviously, bro we heartbroken, Like dog, you're
- 15:51Speaker 1: hoo Cogan, Bro, you're you come out. I'm a real American.
- 15:54Speaker 1: You was the man of the people. You was everybody's hero.
- 15:56Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, and you, oh, come on, man.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Everybody soured on him there, rightfully. So he kind of
- 16:04Speaker 1: tried to make a little comeback after that. You know,
- 16:07Speaker 1: there was a little time period there where they was
- 16:09Speaker 1: rocking with him, like wwe. They kind of let it slide,
- 16:13Speaker 1: you know, the audience. You know, because at the end
- 16:16Speaker 1: of the day, the audience is going to tell you
- 16:18Speaker 1: anybody else can't tell you how to feel about the
- 16:20Speaker 1: dude and the ww that's the beautiful part. When the
- 16:23Speaker 1: person comes out, people gonna react. They're either gonna cheer boo,
- 16:27Speaker 1: or if they're not saying nothing, that's even worse. But
- 16:31Speaker 1: he started getting cheers, you know, maybe ten years or
- 16:34Speaker 1: so ago, like he kind of came back and he
- 16:36Speaker 1: was cool. Everything was cool. But then he started endorsing
- 16:39Speaker 1: Trump heavy, like to the point where he's doing wrestling
- 16:42Speaker 1: promos at Trump rallies and it's like, bruh, And I
- 16:46Speaker 1: wonder if.
- 16:47Speaker 2: That vissic Man special played any part of it.
- 16:49Speaker 1: I don't think so. I think it was the Trump
- 16:51Speaker 1: that was all over the place.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Bro. No, just you know, just added a little fucking
- 16:56Speaker 2: fuel to the fire.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Oh yeah, little razzle dazzle to it.
- 16:59Speaker 2: But what part about Man, I'm forgetting about that that
- 17:03Speaker 2: he backstabbed Insick Man for the w c W ship.
- 17:07Speaker 3: Oh yeah, okay, even though he had his back in
- 17:10Speaker 3: the court room, he still did him grab me with.
- 17:12Speaker 2: With the w c W.
- 17:13Speaker 1: There was a few stories in there about Hogan kind
- 17:15Speaker 1: of like switching sides and stuff.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Yeah, that's so. I basically Man said he never forgive him. Damn.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Yeah, but yeah, dog, the Hogan thing was funny, man,
- 17:25Speaker 1: just seeing him come out like that and just seeing
- 17:28Speaker 1: everybody just dog they was You could tell he cut
- 17:31Speaker 1: it short.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Bro.
- 17:32Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure they told him before Tripleation is probably
- 17:34Speaker 1: back there, like, look, Bro, we're gonna bring you out there,
- 17:38Speaker 1: but I'm pretty sure these people gonna boo you.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Dog.
- 17:40Speaker 1: If they start booing, you cut it short and get
- 17:42Speaker 1: your ass out of there. And that's exactly what it
- 17:44Speaker 1: seemed like. Bro. He spit out his little sentence like
- 17:46Speaker 1: twist the dog. He was in there, like ripped the
- 17:50Speaker 1: shirt and then just turned around. The shirt wasn't even
- 17:52Speaker 1: off his body yet, Bro, it was hanging off his
- 17:54Speaker 1: ass and he just went. He could tell he was
- 17:56Speaker 1: tight though. But it's funny because, like I heard on
- 18:00Speaker 1: the show today, the mass Man Show, they were talking
- 18:03Speaker 1: about the thing with Hogan specifically, is like he brought
- 18:07Speaker 1: his wrestling side directly into the political thing and endorsed
- 18:12Speaker 1: trumping away where it's like you can't you can't blur
- 18:15Speaker 1: the line like you can't like I mean now, you
- 18:18Speaker 1: can't blur the line, like the line is too blurred
- 18:19Speaker 1: because you're doing it as Houlk Hogan. You're not doing
- 18:22Speaker 1: it as Terry Bulaya the American citizen, right, You're doing
- 18:25Speaker 1: it as Holk Hogan, and you're coming out saying I'm
- 18:28Speaker 1: Holk Hogan. Like that's that was the difference between him
- 18:32Speaker 1: and Undertaker. Like Undertaker came out and everybody was rocking
- 18:35Speaker 1: with him. Undertaker did a promo for Trump, you know
- 18:39Speaker 1: what I'm saying. He did a little video for Trump,
- 18:40Speaker 1: and he came out and supported Trump very vocally, you
- 18:44Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. But he did it in a
- 18:46Speaker 1: way where it wasn't like, you know, he just he
- 18:49Speaker 1: just stated it like it's his political affiliation, his opinion,
- 18:53Speaker 1: kind of kept it moving. The endorsement was kind of
- 18:56Speaker 1: like some little tongue in cheek little joke that he
- 18:59Speaker 1: made him and Kine. They wasn't yo. That was funny
- 19:02Speaker 1: to see too. Dog Donald Trump in the middle, Caine
- 19:06Speaker 1: on one side and Undertaker on the other side, and
- 19:09Speaker 1: they're endorsing him for president. That's another thing. Ten years ago,
- 19:12Speaker 1: I would have told you that you would have shut
- 19:15Speaker 1: your ass.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Became became a politician himself.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Yeah, he's the mayor of Knoxville something like that, or
- 19:24Speaker 1: Knox County, the mayor of a county. I think he is, actually,
- 19:28Speaker 1: but yeah, bro, and he's been in that position for
- 19:31Speaker 1: a long time, bro, Like he's been super locked in.
- 19:34Speaker 1: I always used to hear that him and Daniel Brian
- 19:36Speaker 1: used to have a lot of like backstage political arguments,
- 19:40Speaker 1: like very civil like because they were friends. But you know,
- 19:43Speaker 1: obviously Kine's Republican, Daniel Bryan was Democrat, and they just
- 19:48Speaker 1: used to go back and forth, back and forth. And
- 19:50Speaker 1: it's funny because they used to wrestle each other in
- 19:52Speaker 1: the main event a lot of times too. They were
- 19:54Speaker 1: a tag team. They wrestled each other in the main events,
- 19:56Speaker 1: so I could just imagine like them just like you know,
- 20:00Speaker 1: that's the funny thing about wrestling, Bro, Like y'all are
- 20:02Speaker 1: out there killing each other and you go in the bag,
- 20:04Speaker 1: y'all best friends, y'all talk about political subjects, you know
- 20:07Speaker 1: what I'm saying.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Like, it's so funny, man, Now, that is a crazy
- 20:12Speaker 2: side of wrestling that you wouldn't expect.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Yeah, Bro, that that's something that I like more than
- 20:19Speaker 1: wrestling itself, Like just hearing the stories and like the
- 20:23Speaker 1: podcast and hearing the wrestlers talk about like the making
- 20:27Speaker 1: of these situations and matches and stuff. Like even Triple
- 20:30Speaker 1: H's talking about it in the lead up to this,
- 20:32Speaker 1: like he's like, when we're thinking about WrestleMania, we got
- 20:36Speaker 1: plan A, B, C, D, E, F, and they're all
- 20:39Speaker 1: solid plans, and then there's always something that happens that
- 20:42Speaker 1: we didn't expect that we have to shuffle things around,
- 20:46Speaker 1: come up with a different story. Like it's not it's
- 20:49Speaker 1: not easy, you know what I'm saying. It's a very
- 20:51Speaker 1: complicated thing. And just the fact that you're so reliant
- 20:55Speaker 1: on people's participation and the way they react to certain
- 20:58Speaker 1: characters and stuff. You know how hard it is to
- 21:02Speaker 1: predict predict how people will take certain things, you know
- 21:04Speaker 1: what I'm saying. So for them to be able to
- 21:06Speaker 1: be that tapped into their fan base, bro, Like, that's
- 21:09Speaker 1: something that a lot of them.
- 21:10Speaker 2: That's a good thing that right now.
- 21:14Speaker 1: That's something they talk about with WWE two. Like they
- 21:18Speaker 1: might not have as many fans as other platforms or
- 21:21Speaker 1: whatever or leagues, whatever you want to say. Brand they
- 21:26Speaker 1: might not have as many fans, but their fans spend
- 21:29Speaker 1: more money than other fans. Yeah, you know what I'm saying,
- 21:32Speaker 1: Because the WWE fan will be a regular guy working
- 21:37Speaker 1: a low to middle class job, and this dude will
- 21:41Speaker 1: travel across country to go to WrestleMania. Bro.
- 21:44Speaker 3: Yeah, you know fans of fans of wrestling will treat
- 21:47Speaker 3: WrestleMania like going to Disney.
- 21:49Speaker 1: Like, yes, exactly, Bro. I'm a fan. Bro, I've never
- 21:54Speaker 1: actually said, Yo, I'm gonna go to San Antonio, San
- 21:56Speaker 1: Antonio to watch a Spurs game. You know what I'm saying.
- 22:00Speaker 1: I'm a Spurs fan more than I'm a wrestling fan.
- 22:02Speaker 1: But I've gone to more wrestling stuff than I have
- 22:04Speaker 1: basketball stuff, you know what I'm saying, Just because like
- 22:07Speaker 1: the way they got it set up and the whole
- 22:09Speaker 1: like just the experience as a fan, it's like so
- 22:12Speaker 1: different than anything else. And that's why so many people
- 22:14Speaker 1: are willing to do it and like spend their money
- 22:17Speaker 1: on it and stuff. You know.
- 22:20Speaker 2: That though I'm gonna keep watching on Mondays. It got me.
- 22:26Speaker 2: It got me as a fan.
- 22:27Speaker 1: And even if you don't watch it on Monday, it's
- 22:30Speaker 1: still you're chilling during the week or whatever. Stuff.
- 22:34Speaker 2: You know, they have all the old ones up there already.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Still yeah.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Yeah, And they said that the episode is going to
- 22:40Speaker 1: be available immediately as soon as it drops.
- 22:42Speaker 3: That's fire.
- 22:43Speaker 1: So that's another thing that's dope too, Like you missed it.
- 22:46Speaker 1: You can just you know, you got a late shift
- 22:47Speaker 1: or whatever the case is. It's tappen the next morning,
- 22:50Speaker 1: that night, later, however you want to do it.
- 22:54Speaker 3: I said, John, doing work facts.
- 22:57Speaker 1: But yeah, man, speaking of doing work, we're gonna talk
- 23:01Speaker 1: about this Leangelo ball the Yello Yo. Man, it's so
- 23:07Speaker 1: funny how like, And that's another thing about like not
- 23:09Speaker 1: knowing how people are going to react right like the
- 23:13Speaker 1: way they were spreading this song. So let me backtrack
- 23:16Speaker 1: a little bit. Lonzo ball player for the Chicago Bulls
- 23:21Speaker 1: LaMelo ball player for the Hornets. The Charlotte Hornets. Two
- 23:25Speaker 1: guys in the NBA brothers. There's a third brother. He's
- 23:28Speaker 1: in the G League right now, developmental League. He's playing
- 23:31Speaker 1: for the Hornets developmental team. But he's the oldest one,
- 23:36Speaker 1: so or he's either the oldest or the middle. He's
- 23:41Speaker 1: the only one that didn't really make it to the league.
- 23:43Speaker 1: He kind of like finding his place as far as
- 23:46Speaker 1: like just like the outward appearance of the family, you
- 23:49Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, Like, obviously we don't know what's
- 23:51Speaker 1: going on with them realistically, but from outside looking, it
- 23:53Speaker 1: looks like he's kind of trying to find his place.
- 23:56Speaker 2: He can't ball, right, I.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Mean, he can ball, though he's not like he's not nice.
- 24:01Speaker 1: I'm not gonna pretend like he's nice. I'm not gonna
- 24:03Speaker 1: pretend like, dang, he should be on a roster, you
- 24:06Speaker 1: know what i mean. Like, but I feel like if
- 24:09Speaker 1: you put him in that twelve to nine spot on
- 24:13Speaker 1: your bench, it wouldn't be like you wouldn't be hurt
- 24:17Speaker 1: because of it, you know what I'm saying. Maybe with
- 24:18Speaker 1: that right experience, he could be a nice little contributor
- 24:21Speaker 1: at the end of the bench. But anyway better than
- 24:24Speaker 1: Brownni from what I've seen for sure. I mean, the dude,
- 24:28Speaker 1: the boy could score. Bro, He's scoring in the G League,
- 24:30Speaker 1: like you could. You could tell. Like it's just the
- 24:32Speaker 1: other stuff, you know what I'm saying, Like he's just
- 24:34Speaker 1: like he can only really score and he's just not
- 24:37Speaker 1: that good of a score where they're gonna be like,
- 24:39Speaker 1: all right, bro, we're gonna overlook all this other stuff,
- 24:41Speaker 1: you know. So he drops a song, he previews it
- 24:46Speaker 1: on the stream with a streamer like he plays it
- 24:48Speaker 1: in the car, he held his money song whatever, whatever.
- 24:52Speaker 1: So people ran with it as like trying to clown him, right,
- 24:55Speaker 1: they said it looked like it sounded like some some
- 24:57Speaker 1: songs from like Madden O six or like NBA Live
- 25:01Speaker 1: or something like. They put like the song to like
- 25:04Speaker 1: the backtrack of like the and one Mike Stape videos
- 25:08Speaker 1: with the little hot Sauce moves and you hear the
- 25:10Speaker 1: le Angelo balling and so I might that hold on bruh.
- 25:16Speaker 1: But it's so funny because they kind of like backfired
- 25:19Speaker 1: for the people that was trying to clown them, because bro,
- 25:22Speaker 1: the song went crazy. It was like one of the
- 25:24Speaker 1: top songs on Spotify for a few days. The streams
- 25:28Speaker 1: went crazy, and people are actually like, Yo, this song
- 25:30Speaker 1: is dope, you know, like they checked that out to
- 25:32Speaker 1: make fun of it, and now they're realizing, like, oh,
- 25:35Speaker 1: it just got like a school kind of sound, you
- 25:37Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, Like old school in the sense
- 25:39Speaker 1: of like it's true to the essence of like that
- 25:41Speaker 1: two thousands type hip hop, you know what I'm saying,
- 25:44Speaker 1: Like he's he's really tapping into that sound and vibe
- 25:48Speaker 1: no limit, dirty and tea disturbing the peace, Like it
- 25:55Speaker 1: just gives me that nice like late not even more
- 25:59Speaker 1: more too thousands, but like that that two thousands down south.
- 26:04Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, Like just but the good ship,
- 26:06Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, not just southern hip hop,
- 26:07Speaker 1: but like, Bro, this if he would have dropped the song.
- 26:10Speaker 3: Two thousand and five, this would have been would have
- 26:13Speaker 3: But he I say, this is trending number one on
- 26:16Speaker 3: YouTube right now for music.
- 26:17Speaker 1: Yeah, Bro, And which was what I was gonna tell y'all,
- 26:21Speaker 1: He's they dropped the lineup for Rolling Loud in California.
- 26:26Speaker 1: He's on the lineup. He's performing that Rolling Loud just
- 26:30Speaker 1: like that.
- 26:32Speaker 2: Yeah, it's so crazy.
- 26:33Speaker 1: He's working out for him. Bro. And another another thing
- 26:35Speaker 1: that I wanted to talk about with that Rolling Loud
- 26:37Speaker 1: lineup is they're doing two days, which usually they do
- 26:40Speaker 1: three days, and a lot of people have been talking
- 26:43Speaker 1: about that that lineup is trash, bro like saying that
- 26:46Speaker 1: would have been a good lineup, like you know, seven
- 26:48Speaker 1: years ago, Like who, like who listens to these people?
- 26:52Speaker 1: Like I think it's like asap Rocky one night highlighting
- 26:57Speaker 1: I mean as a headliner, and then the other night's
- 26:59Speaker 1: Playboy Cardi and then like the big cell that they're
- 27:02Speaker 1: doing is like the first time on Bessel Pluma was
- 27:04Speaker 1: going to be there, which is you know for La,
- 27:08Speaker 1: I mean for I think it's in La. But either way, California.
- 27:10Speaker 1: It definitely makes sense. You know a lot of Mexicans
- 27:13Speaker 1: out there best of Pluma is going crazy, especially you
- 27:16Speaker 1: know in the Spanish culture. It makes sense. But if
- 27:19Speaker 1: you look at the lineup, bro, if if it was
- 27:22Speaker 1: around me and I had the opportunity to go, I
- 27:25Speaker 1: wouldn't go. You know, it don't look like anything that
- 27:28Speaker 1: I'd be like all right, you know, it's like one
- 27:31Speaker 1: of those things that no lie Like I'm not even
- 27:33Speaker 1: just trying to g it for the show or whatever.
- 27:36Speaker 1: If somebody would tell me, like, yo, I got tickets
- 27:38Speaker 1: to go for free, unless I'm getting backstage or something,
- 27:41Speaker 1: I wouldn't go for free, bro. I would only pull
- 27:44Speaker 1: up if it's like if you tell me I can
- 27:45Speaker 1: go for free and you know we can hang out,
- 27:47Speaker 1: you know in the back and everything chill with the
- 27:49Speaker 1: artists and stuff, that's something different, But just to go
- 27:52Speaker 1: I would I would respectfully decline. That's definitely not the one, bro.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't like the line up. It wasn't enticing.
- 28:02Speaker 2: I don't think I don't know something about artists not
- 28:03Speaker 2: being crazy about festivals anymore. For some reason.
- 28:06Speaker 1: I think a big part of that was just especially
- 28:09Speaker 1: with Rolling Loud, they got a really bad reputation because Bruh,
- 28:13Speaker 1: for some reason their shows, specifically, the cops was pulling
- 28:18Speaker 1: up and arresting people. Broh.
- 28:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:20Speaker 1: And it's like it even got to the point where
- 28:22Speaker 1: people were saying, like there was like rumors going around
- 28:25Speaker 1: or maybe just people accusing, like saying that the role
- 28:27Speaker 1: in Loud team is working with the police, like to
- 28:31Speaker 1: coordinate these arrests and stuff like, because obviously, you know,
- 28:35Speaker 1: if they're looking for an artist or they have some
- 28:37Speaker 1: kind of thing going on, the artist is headline for
- 28:40Speaker 1: a show, that's an easy way to know where they're
- 28:42Speaker 1: going to be at you know what I'm saying. It's
- 28:44Speaker 1: not a question. You know, you know they're going to
- 28:46Speaker 1: be at this place at this time on this day
- 28:48Speaker 1: set up. Yeah, exactly, so it might be a mix up.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Another thing I know, Roland Loud has gotten like a
- 28:54Speaker 1: bad backlash of like not really being for the culture
- 28:57Speaker 1: of hip hop, just really exploiting everything, and just with
- 29:00Speaker 1: the rise of like other festivals that I've seen that
- 29:04Speaker 1: have happened that better turnouts and better lineups and stuff,
- 29:07Speaker 1: it might be just be getting to that point where
- 29:09Speaker 1: the Rolling Loud thing is like running this course, you
- 29:11Speaker 1: know what I mean.
- 29:12Speaker 3: Yeah, and I never I mean we I've gone once.
- 29:15Speaker 3: I think with you less I may have gone twice,
- 29:17Speaker 3: but I'm pretty sure it was once. I've never really
- 29:20Speaker 3: was a fan of Rolling Loud from the standpoint of,
- 29:23Speaker 3: like they give you way too many options and you
- 29:28Speaker 3: always miss something. You gotta sacrifice something.
- 29:30Speaker 1: Yeah, you always got to sacrifice something, you.
- 29:32Speaker 3: Know what I mean.
- 29:33Speaker 2: And it's one stage pick between stages.
- 29:35Speaker 3: Yeah, and I always hated that, you know.
- 29:37Speaker 1: Like I will say, the year that we went though
- 29:39Speaker 1: was a crazy lineup.
- 29:41Speaker 4: Bro.
- 29:41Speaker 3: Oh yeah, so.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Many fire artists bro. Like it even makes no sense, bro.
- 29:47Speaker 1: And just like performing like it was like that perfect year.
- 29:49Speaker 2: So we either went.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Twenty eighteen, twenty nineteen something like that, and it was
- 29:53Speaker 1: just like that era of that music, bro is like perfect.
- 29:57Speaker 4: Bro.
- 29:57Speaker 3: Yeah, that was dope.
- 29:59Speaker 1: It's funny because I just seen the hat the other day,
- 30:01Speaker 1: the Travis Scott hat from that roll in Loud, Like
- 30:05Speaker 1: like Travis Scott astro world, Yeah, Carnival, No, what did
- 30:10Speaker 1: it say, a festival run or something like that. It
- 30:12Speaker 1: was like exclusive to that. The one on his tour
- 30:15Speaker 1: was like a black hat with like white and red
- 30:18Speaker 1: riding on it, and the one from the festival tour
- 30:22Speaker 1: was a brown hat with like a red like a
- 30:25Speaker 1: pinkish kind of it is a super dope hat. I
- 30:27Speaker 1: was a big fan of that early Travis Scott merch,
- 30:30Speaker 1: like up until like maybe twenty nineteen, twenty twenty or
- 30:34Speaker 1: something like that. It was just he had a lot
- 30:37Speaker 1: of dope stuff and it was really like the designs
- 30:41Speaker 1: were real innovative, I feel like for that time.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Yeah, he is a good design I like he's innovative
- 30:47Speaker 2: with his ship for sure.
- 30:48Speaker 1: He has a cool way of making making stuff like
- 30:51Speaker 1: artistic but still looking clean. Yeah you know what I'm saying,
- 30:54Speaker 1: Like it could be on something like super artistic colorful vibe,
- 30:57Speaker 1: but like you could rocket and like still look clean
- 31:00Speaker 1: when you go out. That's another thing Future does too.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Future will drop merch for albums sometimes and like some
- 31:06Speaker 1: of the merch be super dope and it'd be like
- 31:08Speaker 1: super artistic and I'll be tapping into free bands, I
- 31:13Speaker 1: think is what the merch company is called.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Makes sense.
- 31:18Speaker 1: But yeah, to kind of wrap up that le Angelo
- 31:22Speaker 1: ball thing, it's dope to kind of see him like
- 31:26Speaker 1: kind of getting his just due in another way, you
- 31:29Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, especially with like how down like
- 31:32Speaker 1: the public has been on him with the situation, Like
- 31:35Speaker 1: b imagine the pressure of both your brothers going to
- 31:39Speaker 1: the NBA, Like bruh, Like there's that's like impossible, bro,
- 31:45Speaker 1: Like impossible expectations to live up to, even like the
- 31:47Speaker 1: fact that you got two sons in the NBA, Like
- 31:50Speaker 1: it's crazy, bro. You know, he's he's been in the
- 31:53Speaker 1: G League. I don't think he's ever played like in
- 31:55Speaker 1: a real NBA game. I don't think he's ever been
- 31:57Speaker 1: like rostered.
- 31:58Speaker 2: But I thought he was on the Hornets. Might be tripping.
- 32:03Speaker 1: He's had like a few stints in the G League
- 32:06Speaker 1: with the Hornets. I haven't looked it up, so I'm
- 32:08Speaker 1: not sure. I don't think he's like.
- 32:11Speaker 2: He was on the Pistons in twenty twenty for.
- 32:13Speaker 1: A little bit like the main roster. Yeah, oh nice, nice,
- 32:17Speaker 1: I don't remember that. I kind of do remember him
- 32:19Speaker 1: in the Pistons Jersey though, but yeah, man, it's dope
- 32:23Speaker 1: to kind of see him like finding a different lane
- 32:25Speaker 1: and the sound is dope. Bro, I've seen Lonzo was
- 32:27Speaker 1: previewing another new song, you know, same kind of like vibes,
- 32:32Speaker 1: but another dope song too, you know what I'm saying.
- 32:36Speaker 1: And a lot of people, like on TikTok is kind
- 32:38Speaker 1: of saying like like trying to like kind of say
- 32:41Speaker 1: that lean Angelo's kind of like palate cleansing hip hop
- 32:44Speaker 1: for the new year, you know what I mean, Like
- 32:47Speaker 1: kind of like I feel like just in general too,
- 32:50Speaker 1: like that whole twenty seventeen in Ish wave of hip hop,
- 32:54Speaker 1: you know, the the lean drinking, drug addict rappers. You
- 33:00Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. I think that whole vibe is
- 33:02Speaker 1: just kind of like going out the window and hopefully
- 33:06Speaker 1: this is like part of that switch, you know what
- 33:07Speaker 1: I mean.
- 33:08Speaker 3: Yeah, facts, I will say, man, wrapping up though Little
- 33:11Speaker 3: Baby's album.
- 33:11Speaker 1: Was trashed, Bro, Yo, I'm glad you said it, because
- 33:15Speaker 1: I forgot I was gonna bring it up. I thought
- 33:17Speaker 1: about it earlier in the week. I'm like, Yo, we
- 33:18Speaker 1: gotta talk about that Little Baby dog Yo. Everybody was
- 33:22Speaker 1: saying even though I know gonna do it and didn't
- 33:25Speaker 1: ghost right for him if he did whatever, but I
- 33:27Speaker 1: don't think he did. Everybody was like, dang, he need't
- 33:29Speaker 1: Gunna back as his ghost writer.
- 33:31Speaker 3: He need him back, bro, Bro.
- 33:34Speaker 1: And what it is, I think what it is more
- 33:36Speaker 1: than anything, is like gonna being around. Yeah that created
- 33:40Speaker 1: He's so musical, and he's probably even telling a little
- 33:43Speaker 1: baby like, yo, get on this beat. You know what
- 33:45Speaker 1: I'm saying, Yo, you should hit it like with this
- 33:47Speaker 1: kind of flow. Like even if he's not literally doing
- 33:49Speaker 1: the work, like just having that right ear, it is
- 33:52Speaker 1: probably the thing that's you know what I'm saying, like
- 33:54Speaker 1: the thing that he had before that dog that album
- 33:58Speaker 1: Doo Doo Doo Dooo got like no like zero reaction, Bro.
- 34:04Speaker 3: It's crazy. Le Angelo Balls song is getting more reactions.
- 34:08Speaker 1: One song, bro, Yeah, just with one song and it
- 34:11Speaker 1: kind of goes like you said, it goes back to
- 34:13Speaker 1: that thing of like that sound is just going out
- 34:15Speaker 1: the window, bro, Like you gotta come with some a
- 34:18Speaker 1: little more creative now that formula is dead, that little
- 34:21Speaker 1: baby wave might be done. To be honest, I just
- 34:24Speaker 1: I just can't imagine unless he like just ditches the
- 34:27Speaker 1: auto tune or something and just starts flowing. I don't
- 34:30Speaker 1: really see how he can really like bounce back from
- 34:34Speaker 1: my ear, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, yeah, but yeah, man,
- 34:40Speaker 1: as we start to wind things down, Man, we have
- 34:42Speaker 1: been talking behind the scenes a little bit before. Well
- 34:45Speaker 1: we hadn't been talking Quincy. Let us know that, you know,
- 34:49Speaker 1: he was looking to maybe make some changes, but he
- 34:51Speaker 1: was still like trying to figure it out and stuff.
- 34:54Speaker 1: But this week he confirmed it that he's gonna step
- 34:56Speaker 1: back from the pod and I'm just gonna kind of
- 34:58Speaker 1: let him take it away before like we get our
- 35:00Speaker 1: thoughts in. I want to let you, you know, have
- 35:02Speaker 1: time to speak on your own.
- 35:04Speaker 3: Yeah, man, Yeah, So I mean basically, you know, uh,
- 35:07Speaker 3: not to go too deep pause. You know, you know
- 35:11Speaker 3: I could address it like this. You know, we've basically
- 35:13Speaker 3: been at this for man, two and a half years now,
- 35:16Speaker 3: and as you mentioned, less, I don't even know what
- 35:18Speaker 3: episode we're on right now. All I know is we're
- 35:20Speaker 3: in the hundreds all in all. We've taken no breaks
- 35:24Speaker 3: at all for two and a half years. Nevertheless, as
- 35:27Speaker 3: I mentioned in my last episode, I've just been you know,
- 35:30Speaker 3: kind of locked in on some other things for myself individually,
- 35:33Speaker 3: and I, you know, never wanted this show to come
- 35:36Speaker 3: to a thing to check off the to do list,
- 35:40Speaker 3: and you know, I'd rather then, you know, rather than
- 35:43Speaker 3: slowing y'all up, you know, I basically just decided to
- 35:46Speaker 3: bow gracefully.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Word. Yeah. So my my main thing when I heard
- 35:54Speaker 1: that you were thinking about it, and then when you
- 35:56Speaker 1: confirmed it, that I wanted to talk about is like
- 36:00Speaker 1: I don't want you to lose that creative thing in
- 36:04Speaker 1: your life, you know what I mean. Like that's why
- 36:06Speaker 1: I was asking you before too, like you're still planning
- 36:08Speaker 1: on dropping some new music and stuff, because I wouldn't
- 36:10Speaker 1: want you to turn that part of your brain off,
- 36:14Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Because that's what this show
- 36:17Speaker 1: is tapping into. You know what I mean, Like that
- 36:18Speaker 1: part of your brain. It's taking you out of like
- 36:20Speaker 1: a certain mind that you're in like during your week.
- 36:24Speaker 1: It's putting you like kind of like in a different
- 36:26Speaker 1: mind state just for the things you're talking about, things
- 36:28Speaker 1: you're thinking about, like I said, just tapping into that
- 36:31Speaker 1: creative vein. And like a big thing that has always
- 36:34Speaker 1: been the theme of the show is staying tapped into that,
- 36:38Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, like not letting yourself become
- 36:41Speaker 1: just like a person that kind of slips into the
- 36:43Speaker 1: gray of life, you know what I mean, It just
- 36:45Speaker 1: kind of floats along like that. So the main thing,
- 36:48Speaker 1: and needless to say, we homies regardless, So this show
- 36:53Speaker 1: is that it's not gonna make no that we was
- 36:56Speaker 1: cool for years before we even had a show. We're
- 36:58Speaker 1: gonna be cool for years after the show. That's not
- 37:00Speaker 1: even a thing. But my main thing was like, dang,
- 37:04Speaker 1: So if you're not going to be on here, I
- 37:07Speaker 1: still like will want you to like carry the spirit
- 37:10Speaker 1: of the show with you of just like you know,
- 37:13Speaker 1: just still being like still chasing that part of your brain,
- 37:16Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. Yeah, And I know you've
- 37:18Speaker 1: just been you've been talking in general about dropping some
- 37:20Speaker 1: new music and kind of getting that feeling back and everything.
- 37:24Speaker 1: So definitely like I would want to have you back
- 37:27Speaker 1: on as a guest, you know, whenever you're you know
- 37:30Speaker 1: a little into that journey, you know, maybe you know
- 37:33Speaker 1: tell us later on, like how you got yourself back
- 37:36Speaker 1: rolling into that mindset, how things are going with like
- 37:38Speaker 1: how you've been, like you said last week, changing your habits,
- 37:41Speaker 1: focusing on different things and stuff. So yeah, that's kind
- 37:45Speaker 1: of just all I wanted to say with it. I'm
- 37:47Speaker 1: not even gonna say no kind of like goodbye or
- 37:50Speaker 1: nothing like that, because I'm still going to talk to
- 37:51Speaker 1: you later today probably and tomorrow. So there's not even
- 37:54Speaker 1: no point in that.
- 37:55Speaker 3: Right for sure? For sure?
- 37:57Speaker 2: For sure.
- 37:57Speaker 3: Yeah, And I mean again, you know, it all comes
- 37:59Speaker 3: down to, you know, kind of what I got going
- 38:02Speaker 3: on individually, you know what I'm saying, Like, I don't
- 38:04Speaker 3: want to slow slow up what's going on here, but
- 38:08Speaker 3: I you know, for for me, I think stepping away
- 38:11Speaker 3: focused on those things probably will be the best thing
- 38:13Speaker 3: for me at this time.
- 38:17Speaker 2: Word Joe, I'm waiting. Yeah, it's just you know, one
- 38:22Speaker 2: less thing at the hundred things that we do together.
- 38:26Speaker 2: It's not going to change much. I will say, if
- 38:28Speaker 2: you go on another podcast to start another podcast, I
- 38:31Speaker 2: ain't banging with it. Don't let me see you start
- 38:37Speaker 2: a podcast, will be another, be a co host of
- 38:39Speaker 2: the podcast, then we're fighting.
- 38:41Speaker 1: If I see a stay Tuned post in your story,
- 38:45Speaker 1: stay tuned, Big Things Coming, follow follow the u I
- 38:49Speaker 1: G follow the follow the page, Big nuts pod.
- 38:56Speaker 2: Uh blocked blocking back, It's but everything Quincy does is
- 39:05Speaker 2: calculated and orchestrated in a certain fashion. This is no surprise,
- 39:09Speaker 2: being how you've been talking about your goals and your adjustment,
- 39:15Speaker 2: your you know, readjustments in life and everything. It's no surprise,
- 39:18Speaker 2: pleatly understandable. Definitely no offense or nothing like that. Taking
- 39:23Speaker 2: I said, you guys started this and I jumped on.
- 39:26Speaker 2: Uh and now uh, me and Les are gonna just
- 39:28Speaker 2: keep carrying it on and do what we gotta do.
- 39:31Speaker 2: But you know, we know we got your support and
- 39:33Speaker 2: you know you got our support no matter what. So
- 39:36Speaker 2: it's all it's all gravy for sure.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Yeah. Man, you know, me and Joy are definitely gonna
- 39:41Speaker 1: tap into more in person stuff, you know, filming some
- 39:45Speaker 1: doing some stuff that's not in the podcast studio every time,
- 39:48Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Like just give a different
- 39:51Speaker 1: feel to the show just because we're local to each other,
- 39:53Speaker 1: you know what I mean. So it's definitely gonna energize
- 39:57Speaker 1: us to go in a new direction. Definitely understand your
- 40:01Speaker 1: point of view on it, Quincy. And like I said, Bro,
- 40:04Speaker 1: I'm just more excited and looking forward to having you
- 40:08Speaker 1: back on as a guest and hearing like all the
- 40:11Speaker 1: dope stuff stuff that you've been doing on top of
- 40:14Speaker 1: the life, just regular life and professional stuff that you're
- 40:17Speaker 1: focusing on, you know what I mean.
- 40:18Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure, was definitely definitely hopefully sooner than later.
- 40:23Speaker 1: No facts, for sure. I think it's only right that
- 40:26Speaker 1: you get it in one last time.
- 40:28Speaker 3: And Yo, hey man, even though I ain't gonna be here,
- 40:34Speaker 3: you know, I'm always gonna have to stay butter.
- 41:05Speaker 4: Captain Dyes, not not not not doing County County, not
- 43:10Speaker 4: do a not doing County County, not doing nothing after
- 43:31Speaker 4: a
