- 0:00All the villa having a shut down line in regimes.
- 0:02Miller, Rahman Rahim, respected brothers and sisters, Salaamu
- 0:05alaikum Muhammad Allahi Abuhatu, welcome back to the Aftermarket
- 0:09podcast and we pray inshallah. Your Shaharah Muban is going
- 0:13well so far. Of course, as we know, these are
- 0:15some blessed nights that we are now amidst, and that includes of
- 0:19course the Shahada of our first Imam, the successor of the Holy
- 0:23Prophet Muhammad, Sallallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, none other than
- 0:27the first Imam, Imam Al Nabi Lahi was Salamu Ali.
- 0:32At the same time, Brunch sisters, we are also preparing
- 0:34our souls for the Knights of Qadar Layala Kadar, the Knights
- 0:38of Destiny, the Knights of Power.
- 0:40The Knights were, of course, the decree of our last Panata.
- 0:42Allah is also dependent on us as individuals, how we spend our
- 0:46nights and our days in these blessed times.
- 0:49So inshallah tonight we want to have a fantastic conversation, a
- 0:52deep conversation. A conversation which looks at
- 0:54context, conceptual ideas and looks at the the the literature
- 0:58of the Holy Quran, looks at the hadith of the Ahela Beta Lehman
- 1:01Salaam and draws parallels between these two landmark
- 1:04occasions. We'll also have a deep
- 1:06discussion on Sortel Qadar, of course, the 97th chapter of the
- 1:09Holy of Quran, and ways in which we can connect more deeply to
- 1:13this order, which we recite now more than ever, more than any
- 1:16other time in the Islamic calendar.
- 1:18So we'll have a fantastic conversation with a very special
- 1:22guest before we introduce. Our guest gives me great joy as
- 1:25always to be joined by my dear brother Saeed Ali.
- 1:27Salam Ali. How are you doing?
- 1:40Al Hamdallah, Hamdallah, I'm well.
- 1:42How are you? Al Hamdallah, Hamdallah, of
- 1:44course, these are Knights of shahada and Knights of sorrow.
- 1:47So we offer condolences, of course, Maya, condolences to you
- 1:50say, and of course to the to the Almighty, the awaited Imam and
- 1:52of course Knights of of great power.
- 1:57So every year when we have this conversation, we always think
- 2:00about how best to maximize these Knights.
- 2:02And I always ask myself this question and I've started doing
- 2:06it from now or even from earlier in Shahramadhan, you know, every
- 2:11Shahramadhan, we say your destiny for the coming year is
- 2:15written. Yes, I think if if ME 2024 could
- 2:20see how I am one year from now, how I am now, would I be proud
- 2:25of myself or not? Yeah.
- 2:27So then I think, well, these nights of color are coming up.
- 2:30Am I going to write my destiny for the coming year to be better
- 2:34for my soul? I'm not talking about what I
- 2:36have or what I, but rather what I've become.
- 2:39So inshallah, I pray we can make the most of it.
- 2:41Inshallah and inshallah, we can maximize our spirituality and
- 2:44our worship to Allah Spano Tallah during these holy blessed
- 2:48nights. And I think one way we can do so
- 2:49is giving in the way of Allah and charity.
- 2:51And for those who have been listening since the beginning of
- 2:54Shah Ramadan, keeping up with episodes we have, we have
- 2:56partnered with the Zahara Trust where we are Sharla running a
- 3:00campaign with them where we're trying to raise £5000 that will
- 3:03go towards many micro financing projects.
- 3:07Sharla, people make the intention to take part in this
- 3:09campaign. And Sharla, your reward do a lot
- 3:11with Allah Subhanahu. And having said all of this, I
- 3:15do want to say that we are joined today by someone who is
- 3:18very special to me on a personal level and to us, all of us as
- 3:22well. But why I said person is because
- 3:24I went to Siara with this beautiful soul where we really
- 3:29had a spiritual journey and I really loved every moment I
- 3:32spent with him. And that's none other than the
- 3:35amazing, the amazing soul Sheikh Nah Sheikh Ayub Rashid Salaam
- 3:39Alaikum. Alaikum Salaam alaikum.
- 3:43Bless both of you. How was your How's your month
- 3:50gone so far? Al Hamdullah, so far so good,
- 3:53it's busy, but at Hamdulillah with that busy kind of
- 3:57activities, we get the opportunity to recite Quran, do
- 4:01other programs, teaching at the same time.
- 4:04We ask Allah to accept it. Shah Shah Shah.
- 4:07Shah, one thing I want to ask to kick off with your permission is
- 4:11every time we approach this third week of Shahramalan and
- 4:15we, we have the the Shahada of Emila Mahmanin Alayhi Salaam and
- 4:19at the same time we have the AL Al Qadar, especially on the
- 4:2119th, the 21st and the 23rd nights of, of the holy month.
- 4:25How do we balance? Or if I can ask you, how do you
- 4:27balance these nights? Is it something where you split
- 4:31one part for Mossahib, one part for Amal?
- 4:34Do you intertwine it some way or do you have a a kind of unique
- 4:38formula? Yeah, Bismillahi Rahmani Rahim
- 4:41al hamdulillahi sallallahu Ala Muhammad.
- 4:48It's difficult sometimes. According to your question, it's
- 4:51difficult sometimes to separate Elayal UL Qadri and Museeba of
- 4:55Amirul Mumminin. Actually, there was a time I was
- 4:58doing like deep thinking, looking at the life of Imam
- 5:02Amirul Mumminin Alayhi Salaam and keeping in your mind and and
- 5:06this show, by the way, thank you very much for having this this
- 5:11show, especially for the youth. I was thinking Ali Alayhi
- 5:18Salaam, straight to the point. Mohawi ABI Sufian took power
- 5:25after the death of Imam Amirul Mamin Shahad of Ali Alayhi
- 5:28Salaam. He decided he had a mission.
- 5:32One of the missions is to make sure he sent a staff for Allah
- 5:37Lana curse upon Ali Alayhi Salam and this continued for more than
- 5:44100 years now 180 plus here. Now, when you look at this, I I
- 5:54was thinking if Ali Alayhi Salam was not martyred in the holy
- 6:01month of Ramadan, and especially within this Lyal al Qadri, we
- 6:05remember him. We wouldn't be able to remember
- 6:08Ali Alaihi Salaam because of the campaign which was done by the
- 6:12government of Mahawiya and those who came after him.
- 6:16So during the Lyal al Qadr, of course I focus on Lyal al Qadr
- 6:22because these are holy nights, but at the same time I cannot
- 6:27separate myself from Amirul Momin Ali Alaihi Salaam.
- 6:31So I put the two together and I enjoy the moments.
- 6:34When it comes to Doha, I do Doha recitation of the Holy Quran,
- 6:39but at the same time I remember munaja to fali alayhi Salam
- 6:43maulaya yeah, maulai and tell maulo and Alabd.
- 6:47So I think remembering Ali it it adds a cream on the cake of
- 6:53Layali card and that's the beauty of.
- 7:00Beautiful. I love how you said this heart.
- 7:02It's difficult to separate them because they are inseparable.
- 7:06And the bits, I really love that.
- 7:10And Shala, I think this is something we all resonate with
- 7:13and share, share with you. Share.
- 7:15Let's dive straight into the topic in Shala.
- 7:19It's one I've been really looking forward to because I've
- 7:21always heard about, you know, so there I grew up as a child
- 7:25memorizing. I'm always encouraged to recite
- 7:28it. And when it comes to the month
- 7:29of Ramadan, we're told, for example, if we can, to recite it
- 7:32100 times, if I'm not mistaken, during the night of qadar as
- 7:34well. So it's always on our tongues,
- 7:37but I don't think we have truly understood the meaning of the
- 7:40actual Surah itself. And I want to start with the
- 7:42first verse, if you allow me. Schechner, Smila, Rahman, Rahim
- 7:47and Nansen, no affiliate, but what is the significance of
- 7:51later Qadar and how do we understand the meaning of what
- 7:56is the night of decree or the night of power, the night of
- 8:00destiny? And I think if we can just begin
- 8:01here, sure. And inshallah, we're going to go
- 8:03on the journey towards understanding.
- 8:05Here insha Allah, first and foremost we need to ask Allah
- 8:08subhanahu atallah to include us among those people who have got
- 8:12the success to be in the layali qadr.
- 8:16They are do us to be accepted inshallah.
- 8:19So if you look at the Surah Surah al Qadr, number one, we
- 8:23understand that Allah Subhanahu Atallah says is millahi Rahmani
- 8:26Rahim inna. Indeed, we.
- 8:29Yes. Before we reach Laila Tulkad,
- 8:31indeed we so here inna it is Allah Subhanahu Atallah and His
- 8:37Kingdom Anzalna. In Anzalna who we have revealed
- 8:43it in Anzalna Ho fi Laila Tulkad, we have revealed it in
- 8:50the holy Laila Tulkader, the knight of power Laila Tulkader.
- 8:56Here first of all, Allah Subhanahu Attallah doesn't
- 8:59mention the word Quran, Inna and Zalnahu, indeed we have revealed
- 9:05it. Scholars of Arabic language
- 9:08tafsir and Belara. They say sometimes when you
- 9:12don't mention the name of someone or something, you give
- 9:16it more aura in order for people to wait.
- 9:21What are you talking about? What did you send down?
- 9:23Yeah, what? What is this?
- 9:24So Allah Subhana, what? Allah is preparing the mindset
- 9:27of believers. Indeed, we have revealed it.
- 9:30Feel a little qadr. In the night of Qadr.
- 9:34Night of Qadr, night of power, night of destiny, night where
- 9:41many things are happening, Hanzanaho feel a little Qadr.
- 9:45What makes this like Laila tulkadir to be special #1 is
- 9:50that the Holy Quran has been revealed in it.
- 9:53So you look at the Holy Quran, for example, Surah al baqarah
- 9:58where Allah subhanahu atal in the verses where he talks about
- 10:01fasting aya #183 he says bismillahi rahmani Rahim yeah
- 10:06ayuhalavina amanu kutiba alaikum musuyam Kama kutiba Allah lavina
- 10:11mean kabli kumla Allah kumta. Then I am a madu that and until
- 10:18he says shaharu Ramadan Levi unzila fihil Quran the month of
- 10:24Ramadan, it is in it the Holy Quran was revealed.
- 10:28So where when was the Holy Quran revealed?
- 10:33You go to Surah Arduhan Allah Subhanahu Taala says in Anzal
- 10:39nahufi Laylatin Mubaraka. We have revealed it in the night
- 10:44which is blessed, full of blessings.
- 10:47So Laila Tulkader takes that respect, if we can call it and
- 10:54dignity because the Holy Quran was revealed in that Laila
- 10:58Tulkader. And then you continue with the
- 11:01Surah in Nanzel nahufi Leila tilkad.
- 11:04Then Allah says Wama adaraka Malala tulkad, Wama adaraka
- 11:08Malaya tulka. What will make you to
- 11:10comprehend, to understand what is Leila tulkad?
- 11:15This reminds me about the 10th of Ramadan when we commemorated
- 11:21the shahada of ladies Khadija Salaam Allah.
- 11:26One day the Holy Prophet said Wama adrakama Khadija, what will
- 11:31make you to understand Khadija? So here Allah subhanahu, what
- 11:34Ala says wama adraka malayala Turkad, what will make you to
- 11:38understand, to comprehend about Laila Turkad, Laila Tulkadir
- 11:42Hiramin al Fisher? What makes it to be more
- 11:45dignified is that it one night is better than 1000 months.
- 11:51So #1 the Holy Quran was revealed in Leila tilkadr #2
- 11:59Allah Subhanahu at Allah has mentioned it in the Holy Quran
- 12:02that this night is not just a normal night, it's a special 1
- 12:07#3. Rasulullah prepared the mindset
- 12:11to welcome Laila Tulkad. There is narration which says
- 12:15that the last 10 nights of Shaharu Ramadan whenever they
- 12:20used to come, the Holy Prophet slept very little.
- 12:25According to one Arabic phrase it says Kanaya should do me
- 12:28Izara. In our day-to-day language.
- 12:30You can say he used to tight his belt.
- 12:33Yes, ready for Ibadah, ready for thicker, ready for recitation of
- 12:37the Holy Quran, ready for Salah. So what makes it special is
- 12:43Quran and Rasulullah himself and all Alul Baitallahim of Salaam
- 12:47they honor this night. Beautiful, beautiful just in
- 12:51terms of the Quran, since we're we're still speaking about the
- 12:55first verse. If I could come back to it when
- 12:57when Allah Subhana Batala says indeed we have sat down the
- 12:59Quran on Layla. Many people understand it as the
- 13:03Quran was revealed over stages over a period of 23 years.
- 13:08I'm correct. So what does it mean that we
- 13:11sent it down Ramadan. Is there a difference?
- 13:12Is it a difference of revelation that came to Rasul Allah.
- 13:15If you can, just perhaps. Yes, indeed.
- 13:18Thank you very much. This question is very important
- 13:20when we look at the Holy Quran. If we are we are quick and we
- 13:24don't pay attention the way you are paying, you won't see this
- 13:28particular. Because we know the Quran
- 13:30doesn't contradict itself. No, no, someone looking without
- 13:32understanding it properly. Quran versus corresponds other
- 13:36verses in the Holy Quran. So there are two things here.
- 13:39Number one, there is what Mufasirin call Inzal and Tanzil.
- 13:46Yes. So in Anzal Nahu, indeed we have
- 13:50revealed it in Zad. It means the whole of the Holy
- 13:54Quran was revealed. Phile la tilcader in the night
- 13:57of Pao Tanzil. Quran was revealed gradually now
- 14:02in Mecca, in Medina and other places.
- 14:05Eventually scholars decided to say that you know what?
- 14:09It's difficult for us to say. They were vases which were
- 14:12revealed in, for example, Radirhome and others were
- 14:16revealed in the city of Medina. Others may be in Ohud, others in
- 14:20Badr. Let us make it this way.
- 14:23Any verse which was revealed before Hijra of the Holy Prophet
- 14:27before he migrated to Medina, that will be known as the verses
- 14:31of Makia. The verses which were revealed
- 14:33in Mecca. Any verse, any Surah which was
- 14:37revealed after the migration will be known as Madania.
- 14:40Yep, meaning the ones which were revealed in Medina.
- 14:42Today you look at the Holy Quran, you will see after
- 14:45Bismillah Nazalat fimaca O Makia O Madania, Makia Madania was
- 14:50revealing, Maka was revealing Medina.
- 14:52So Tanzil is gradually in zal. The whole of it was revealed
- 14:58once when Allah says in Anzal Nahufi Laila Tilkader, it means
- 15:03the whole of the Holy Quran was revealed in Laila Tilkader.
- 15:08And here we have two versions. One says it was revealed to the
- 15:13sky of this world. The whole of the Holy Quran was
- 15:16revealed there. It's like in our understanding
- 15:19there was a a warehouse, yeah. So it was kept there and any
- 15:25time when there is a need, Jibrail will go pick whatever
- 15:29Rasulullah needs and he will bring it to him.
- 15:32Beautiful. Yeah.
- 15:33Or other opinion says no. It was revealed in the chest of
- 15:36Rasulullah. So he was led to know what would
- 15:41happen before even the verses would come down.
- 15:44But he was kept. He was told not to reveal until
- 15:48until when the time comes and the Jibrail would come.
- 15:52So inzal and tanzil here in Nanzal nahu fila tilkadir, we
- 15:56are talking about the whole of the Holy Quran to be revealed in
- 15:59this Lai Latin Mubaraka, a blessed night.
- 16:04I think this understanding, like I said, Ali said, the first
- 16:08verse of the solar in itself encapsulates so much which we
- 16:12fail, I think sometimes to reflect on and and to have a
- 16:15great amount of on where we're when we recite the solar, we
- 16:19have this tendency to recite sort of Qadir in a parrot like
- 16:22fashion. You know, when we focus on the
- 16:24quantity of the soda we're reciting rather than the quality
- 16:27and the reflection on the actual soda itself.
- 16:30I know before the podcast, we spoke briefly about this, this
- 16:33book, the Theo to double Al Quran, which is a commentary, a
- 16:37reflective commentary on the Quran by a team of scholars
- 16:40under the supervision of Sheikh Mohammed Saeed Bahama Poor and
- 16:43Sheikh Dr. Tahar Al Dajafar. Absolutely fantastic and
- 16:46recently published by the War Federation.
- 16:48But there's a point here, Sheikh, which I wanted to to ask
- 16:50you specifically in in specifically in in terms of the
- 16:53Inzal and the Tanzil discussion. It says here that Imam Salih
- 16:58Alayhi Salaam was asked about Alayhi Salaam, how the Quran was
- 17:02revealed in the month of Ram Avan as mentioned.
- 17:05And the Imam Alayhi Salaam said the month of Ram Avan is the
- 17:08month in which the Quran would was revealed and the companion
- 17:14asked him how it had been revealed over 20 or 23 years.
- 17:17And the Imam Alayhi Islam said the Quran was revealed as one
- 17:20word in the month of Ramadan to the Battle Mahmoud.
- 17:24And thereafter it was sent down from Battle Mahmoud over a
- 17:27period of 20 years. When we talk about the actual
- 17:30descent of the Holy Quran into the into the saddle of of
- 17:34Sallallahu Muhammad, Sallallahu from Lohal Mahfold to Bethel
- 17:38Izzah Bethel Mahmoud and into the chest of the Holy Prophet,
- 17:42are these things which make a difference.
- 17:44And I know this sounds very blunt, but to to us as Muslim
- 17:47mean, as MOT minin, is it important?
- 17:50Is it an important understanding for us to understand how the
- 17:52Holy Quran was revealed and does that in essence change the way
- 17:57we should read the Holy Quran or understand revelation?
- 18:00I think yes in a sense that see the rahma of Allah Subhana what
- 18:05Allah, the mercy of Allah Subhana what Allah #1 He didn't
- 18:09reveal the whole of the Holy Quran at once to Rasulullah to
- 18:13say OK this is a complete book, take it here.
- 18:15Rasulullah tell Muslims to apply it.
- 18:19It would be difficult because there are laws there, there are
- 18:23issues to do with practice, practices of Ebada, which we do
- 18:27day-to-day. Allah out of His wisdom and
- 18:30hikmah, he decided, no, I will reveal this Quran gradually in
- 18:35order for Muslims to be able to practice it, in order for them
- 18:40to comprehend it, to understand it.
- 18:42It's not an easy book for for us to be given at one time to say,
- 18:46OK, go and practice it. Look at the holy Quran, Surah al
- 18:49hash. Yeah, even even just to reveal
- 18:52it, the whole of it. One time Allah says Lao Anzalna
- 18:56had Al Quran, Allah Jabalin Lara ETA Hu hashi and muta swat de
- 19:02anmin hashi Attila. If we were to reveal this Quran
- 19:05on the mountain, it would be shaken, trembling.
- 19:11Why? Because of the awe of Allah
- 19:13Subhanahu attack. So we as well, it would be
- 19:16difficult for us even just to carry the Holy Quran without
- 19:19practicing with the practices of law out of the mercy of Allah.
- 19:24He decided, no, we need to do this in that and maybe on the
- 19:28other understanding even he wanted to show the angels, you
- 19:32know what I'm going to reveal a book which actually the gene
- 19:37according to the Holy Quran, they said this book which has
- 19:40been revealed is Mubarak. There's not no other book like
- 19:44this one. So the angels now come to know
- 19:47that the plan of Allah Subhanahu, what Allah is this,
- 19:49that he will reveal the Holy Quran.
- 19:52See the mankind how how merciful Allah is to them.
- 19:56They will enjoy a lot in terms of spiritualism.
- 20:00So coming to the point, is it important for us to know this?
- 20:04I think so, yes, we need to know.
- 20:07However, not nitty gritty maybe, but we need to know that you
- 20:11know what there are two types of the revelation 1 is gradually
- 20:16and another one which is in its totality.
- 20:19The Holy Quran was revealed. Why?
- 20:22To show the importance of the Holy Quran, importance of the
- 20:25Holy Prophet Muhammad, Sallallahu Alaihi alaihi
- 20:29Musallam, and then to take an opportunity to try, to read, to
- 20:33memorize, to practice and to make sure that we live the life
- 20:38of the Holy Quran. That's beautiful, Ahmed.
- 20:41You know, the Knights of power, the Knights of destiny, the
- 20:44Knights of Qadar, you know, we spend our time doing Aman,
- 20:47recycling Quran, seeking forgiveness from Allah, Spano
- 20:50Atahala, you know, maximizing our spirituality.
- 20:53But I think we genuinely lack something and that is giving in
- 20:56the way of Allah, Subhanahu Atahallah.
- 20:58And they say during the Knights of Qadar, whatever good act you
- 21:02do is multiplied 1000 times. And.
- 21:05And and while what I want to say is that this is the time where
- 21:09we maximize the opportunity not just to increase our reward in
- 21:13the next life, but help it bring change in this dunya where we
- 21:16can see it's impacting people on the ground.
- 21:19Yeah, yeah, I agree completely. And you know, like, what is the
- 21:22points? You know, what's the point for
- 21:24us in the Knights of Sharda Amira Mamanin when we are so
- 21:29spiritual and we're connecting with Allah and we're connecting
- 21:32with the Ahlubaita Lehmus Salaam.
- 21:33And a lot of what we're thinking about is in the past tense.
- 21:36You know, we're thinking about the revelation of the Holy
- 21:38Quran. We're thinking about the the
- 21:40trials and the tribulations that the Ahlubaita Lehmusam went
- 21:42through, when really their message was not just for the
- 21:47people of then, but also the people of now and how we should
- 21:49interact with society around us. And like you said, there's a lot
- 21:52of things right now in the world which we need to try and help
- 21:55alleviate. So one of those, of course, is
- 21:57poverty. And not just poverty in the
- 21:59sense that, you know, when we think of people who are hungry
- 22:01or homeless, it's more than that.
- 22:03I think it's people who lack continuity, who lack
- 22:06sustainability. So I mean, everyone knows at
- 22:09home this Shaharam Avan, the Sahara Trust are working with
- 22:11after Mahadeb and we're supporting each other to try and
- 22:14bring these people out of a cycle of poverty.
- 22:16And one of the things we're focusing on a lot, this from
- 22:19Avan, is to try and find ways to give people employment, you
- 22:22know, through microfinance schemes, through employment
- 22:24schemes, specifically people who are really struggling, like
- 22:28widows, yeah, for example, vulnerable women who don't get
- 22:31the support. I think a lot of the times from
- 22:32charities to pull them out of poverty.
- 22:35They may get a basket of food, for example, that won't support
- 22:37them for the long term. What are they doing said to help
- 22:40them? They're.
- 22:40Working on a number of microfinancing projects.
- 22:43But I think one, one thing in particular that struck me is the
- 22:45one where they give opportunity to widows and to women where
- 22:48they can, you know, set up their own business, where there's a
- 22:51hard trust actually helps them set up shop.
- 22:53So they give them a place where they can trade, a place where
- 22:56they can learn skills and go earn a living on their own
- 22:59without relying on other people, without, you know, because, you
- 23:03know, sitting down, for example, begging for someone to give you
- 23:05money. Well, that hurts one's dignity.
- 23:07That hurts one's ability to feel, you know, a normal life.
- 23:11You know, they look at others and they say, you know what?
- 23:13They have the opportunity. All they need is someone to give
- 23:15them that helping hand. And we can do that, this little
- 23:18header. We can help a family come out of
- 23:21poverty. And we say where Shia Imam Ali
- 23:23was known for what? During his rule, when he was
- 23:25Khalifa and Kufa? During his caliphate, if we can
- 23:28call it so. No one tasted poverty.
- 23:32Accent. He was always with the orphans,
- 23:34he was always with the widows and he looked after them.
- 23:37And that's the beauty that we learned from Emir Mumani during
- 23:41his nice of Shahada, during the nice of Qatar.
- 23:43And maybe it's an encouragement where we can inshallah be
- 23:46generous in our contribution. So donations as a.
- 23:49Trust and you know, a last point is these these projects like to
- 23:52what you mentioned the supporting the widows and giving
- 23:54them support. For example, we we see case
- 23:55studies of this. So, for example, in the town of
- 23:57Diwani and Iraq, there was a widow called called Alia Fatima
- 24:02who was given a, a beautiful store to set up a cosmetic salon
- 24:07basically. So she's trained, she's, she's
- 24:09been given the skills to, to set up a shop and to have staff and
- 24:13to, you know, you know, give her services to people, But also
- 24:17then she's then got an entrepreneurial spirit which she
- 24:19can carry through for the rest of her life.
- 24:22And she throws around her as well.
- 24:23So you're, you're now uplifting, not just a person or a family,
- 24:27but then a community ultimately, and giving support and, and
- 24:30boosting the local economy as well.
- 24:31So I think this is an incredible initiative.
- 24:32Bron sisters, these are the nights of power.
- 24:35These are the nights of destiny. These are the nights where we
- 24:37can make a change. If not, if you can't find it
- 24:41within you to give it to people who need to change, at least do
- 24:43it for yourself. Mama Sadaka Assam says that
- 24:46giving charity Shahan Mavan averts 70 calamities from you
- 24:52and this is a a beautiful opportunity.
- 24:54If we don't do it now during these nights of Leah Al Qadar,
- 24:57then when are we going to do it? So let's make use of that
- 24:59opportunity. Make sure you click the link in
- 25:01the bio of this video wherever you're listening to it.
- 25:03Head over to our Instagram page as well.
- 25:05You can see all the posts there that we have going on and
- 25:07continue to support the work that the Zahara Trust is doing.
- 25:11Now back to the episode. Shahna, I want to ask something.
- 25:15You know, being inshallah Shia, a Muslim, we call ourselves.
- 25:18So those who hold on to the path of Amir Al Namin Ali, the school
- 25:23of battle debate, sometimes we come across certain narrations
- 25:26that make us try to better understand what's being said by
- 25:30the holy Imams. One which is for example, that
- 25:33there is a link between say the Fatmans, the Hara Ali has Salaam
- 25:37through the night of Qadar. And for many people, this may be
- 25:40the first time they ever heard this.
- 25:42I've heard in a numerous lectures.
- 25:44I've also people have shared their own hadees here and there
- 25:48and they say there's a connection between, say, the
- 25:49Fatima Zahara Ali has Salaam and the Knight of Qatar.
- 25:52What can we take from this? How do we understand this
- 25:55without, you know, being confused if we can say because
- 25:58ultimately as Muslims, we believe the later Qatar is
- 26:00strictly connected to Allah. So how does it connect to the
- 26:05beloved daughter of Rasul? Allah Santa Fasir where they
- 26:10mentioned the connection and which is as you say, maybe some
- 26:13people will be like wow, no, now those years have started now.
- 26:17Talking you religion. For us, Fatima Tu Zahara Ali has
- 26:23Salaam. There is no any woman like
- 26:25Fatima Tu Zahara Ali has Salaam. She's not just a daughter of the
- 26:29Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Alayhi Assalam.
- 26:31She's not just the the mother of Ahima Alayhi Musalam.
- 26:35She's not just the wife of Amirul Mumminin Alayhi Salaam.
- 26:39Fatima is Fatima. We do not understand the
- 26:45position, the status of Fatima Tu Zahara, so link #1 Fatima is
- 26:52hidden. Only few people understand the
- 26:56status of Fatima Tu Zara Ali Hasala.
- 26:59Laila Tul Qatar is not known, Is hidden the way Laila Tul Qatar
- 27:04is not known? Which night is it?
- 27:07The 19th, 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th.
- 27:13It's not. So you have to search it.
- 27:15You have to stay awake in order for you to get the blessings.
- 27:18Similarly, you have to search about Fatima to Zara.
- 27:22Which lady is this Why the Holy Prophet says Fatima to bother
- 27:26Atun Mini Fatima is part of me. Ya Rasulullah, we know Fatima is
- 27:31your daughter. What do you mean?
- 27:33There is inner meaning there. That Fatima, when you make her
- 27:38happy, you make me happy, you make me happy, You make Allah
- 27:41happy. And the opposite is correct.
- 27:43You make her angry, you make me angry, you make Allah angry.
- 27:47Fatima is not known. So we have to search, we have to
- 27:51research, we have to to read more to understand.
- 27:54Fatima Tu Zahra alayhi Salaam, she is hurriya insea.
- 28:02She's an angelic woman. So for this reason Laila
- 28:07Tulkadri when you stay awake you do a bada.
- 28:10You want a lot to elevate your status.
- 28:13Also in order for you to be proper follower of Saida Zahara,
- 28:19you need to know how better so you need to stay awake.
- 28:23Research more about Fatima tu Zahara Ali has set up and even
- 28:27not only that we remember that Fatima Tu Zahara in one
- 28:30narration she will be picking on the day of Kiyamaha.
- 28:34She has to take them to to Jannah.
- 28:39Laila Tulkader is here, he's saying OK, I'm here, I'm ready
- 28:42to pick you to go to to take you closer to Allah Subhanahu water
- 28:45Allah another similarity. So Fatima to Zahra.
- 28:49Yes, there is everything to do with the connection and the link
- 28:55between Laila Tulkader and Fatima to Zahra Alaihasala.
- 28:58I think as well, just to add as say, the father of Zahra Alai
- 29:01Salaam is a manifestation of divine decree and divine wisdom
- 29:06and she carries this as the living Quran.
- 29:08You know, they one of the questions they always point to
- 29:11us, they always ask us as Shia, they say, where are you albeit
- 29:15in the Quran, Baba, look, where is the Quran in the albeit
- 29:18that's your answer. And you know, one of the, the,
- 29:21the meaning of the, the, the name Fatima is to be cut off.
- 29:25What does that mean to be cut off, to be cut off from
- 29:27impurities interfere Burhan Mamel Barker Salaam Salaam Alaam
- 29:34says that Fatima Alayhi Salaam is called Fatima because the
- 29:37people have been severed from recognizing her reality.
- 29:41In the same way. Of course, recognizing the
- 29:43reality of Leila Lokador in itself is something that we
- 29:46can't just purely understand in one lecture or in one, you know,
- 29:50one night of reflection into double and reading the Y art,
- 29:53reciting on your Quran. It takes effort, it takes time,
- 29:57it takes sincerity for sure. And and our worship and our
- 30:00Ebada towards our last one to other that we may try and
- 30:03gradually grasp what is the reality, the hidden divine
- 30:06reality of this night in the same way we spend our whole life
- 30:09trying to learn about. So I think there's a lot of
- 30:13hidden meanings and we always try and we, this is the thing
- 30:17which you know, as as we've grown older, we recognize the
- 30:20Quran and the alibi, like you said, saying that is, is one in
- 30:23the same. They are the one in the same.
- 30:25The Quran is the alibiate and vice versa.
- 30:27And what is the point of us reading the, you know, the Holy
- 30:30Quran? It says that they read the Quran
- 30:32and get stuck in their throats. They don't understand.
- 30:34It doesn't enter their chest when they read the Holy Quran
- 30:37because they haven't recognized the application, the
- 30:39manifestation, the personification of the Holy
- 30:41Quran can be found in the ones who carry their, the goodness,
- 30:45the VAT of a last Pantala. And, and you know, the divinity
- 30:48of Allah's will and decree can be found through them, through
- 30:52their words and their actions on this earth.
- 30:55So there's a lot I think for us to, to, to take in.
- 30:57Yeah, just to to, to the discussion here, I was reading
- 31:02and I came across the following. Recognizing Fatima Ali Hassalam
- 31:07in her true status is akin to recognizing the reality of Layla
- 31:12Tulkad. It leads to divine closeness,
- 31:16CORB and understanding of God's decree.
- 31:20The hidden status of both reminds believers to seek divine
- 31:25wisdom beyond the apparent world.
- 31:28Just as Laila Tulkadir is the night of Divine Mercy, Fatima
- 31:33Alayhah Salaam is the mother of Mercy Uma Abiha.
- 31:39Her intercession is central in both Sunnis and Shia's
- 31:43traditions. Link between Laila Tulkader and
- 31:47Fatima Tuzar Ali has set up. Beautiful, beautiful.
- 31:51And you mentioned this word hidden from indeed.
- 31:53Well, I just remembered, you know, we her grave is hidden
- 31:56indeed, we can't find it. Or for example, we say very
- 32:01famously that secret that lies within her that we still don't
- 32:06know what it is. Right Indeed.
- 32:08So there's so much links like between when is later father,
- 32:11which night is it, where is her grave?
- 32:13What is the secret with Fashi? There's all links, all these,
- 32:16these are links and and let me take an opportunity here.
- 32:19Inshallah, there will be some youngsters who are listening,
- 32:22especially who are not Shias. I think we need to take an
- 32:26opportunity to tell them. You know, how much do you know
- 32:29about Saida Zahara Ali Hassalam? How much have you come across
- 32:34the traditions? All scholars will talk about
- 32:37Fatima to Zahara Ali Hassalam. It is only through the mother of
- 32:40Al Al Bait Alayhi Musalaam you can come across to know Lady
- 32:43Fatima Tu Zara. So this is an opportunity.
- 32:46When we talk about this closeness, there is an issue
- 32:49which you both of you mentioned. Unfortunately, outside there
- 32:54people recite the Holy Quran as wordings.
- 32:58We focus on Tajweed, Mahari, Akam and so on and so forth,
- 33:03which is important. But then we don't go deeper to
- 33:06understand the depth of the Holy Quran.
- 33:09So some people, even when we mentioned the connection between
- 33:11Fatima tu Zahara and Laila Tu Qatar, they see it as something,
- 33:14oh, where is Fatima is mentioned in the Holy Quran as you have
- 33:17mentioned. But if you look at, for example,
- 33:20Surah Al Imran, Surah Al Imran, yes Surah #3 aya 61 Ayatul
- 33:26Mubahallah where Allah Subhanahu Hotel clearly mentions when
- 33:30Rasulullah came out, he came out with Al Hassan Al Hussain Abna
- 33:48Amira woman in Ali Nafs. Fatima to Zahara was one lady
- 33:54who represented the whole of Nisa.
- 33:58You have Surah #4, Surah and Nisa and then you have 61 Fatima
- 34:03to Zara came with the Holy Prophet.
- 34:06And even those Christians when they saw these faces of Al Al
- 34:09Bait, they were like no, no, no, we can't do here.
- 34:11Mubahallah will be destroyed. So Fatima tu Zara, she is there
- 34:18in the Holy Quran. You look at Surah Dahar, the
- 34:26lady who was there to prepare the food and to give to Meskin
- 34:30and Yatim and Asira Fatima tu Zara.
- 34:32There's there's so many examples and how you said inna and zana,
- 34:41the inna being the we, the plural, what we say said before
- 34:44the podcast, the, the, the, the, what Allah has given us, Allah
- 34:50is saying that it's such a grand thing that we as a plural, me
- 34:53and my Kingdom bring this to you know this point, Hayden Al
- 34:58Fisher, that specific point about 1000 months, obviously.
- 35:02And at that time, now we have million billion all these words
- 35:06in those times elf in the Arabic language is the greatest number.
- 35:09I wanted to ask the specific reasoning that allows us this
- 35:12term. Now obviously 1000 months in in
- 35:16arithmetic terms is is more than 83 years, which which tells us
- 35:20that our last point I learned is infinite wisdom is telling us
- 35:23that your lifespan is not even worth or is worth as much, if
- 35:28not more than the the benefit of later.
- 35:31But obviously at the same time it tells us that it's a
- 35:35metaphorical thing as well, perhaps greater than 1000
- 35:38months. What is kind of the the
- 35:40reasoning and the wisdom behind this?
- 35:42When I lost to Hana what Allah says Laila Tulkadir Hayron mean
- 35:48Al Fisher is better than 1000 months here He wants us, as you
- 35:53said, clearly it's correct that look, look, look, look, you may
- 35:57live in this world maybe for eight years and then you become
- 36:02weak. You can't even understand many
- 36:05things you your life will be difficult for many people, of
- 36:08course, except for some focus on Laila Tulkader.
- 36:12Laila Tulkader higher on men. Al Fisher.
- 36:15If you understand the status of Laila Tulkader, the
- 36:19manifestations of Allah which are there, they bar Akat, which
- 36:24are there, the blessings and the importance of this night, you
- 36:28should prepare yourself for it. Because if Allah will grant it
- 36:33for you, He has granted you higher mean alfishah.
- 36:38And as you say clearly in Arabic language, simple.
- 36:42For example, someone says well forgive me please, I have done
- 36:48wrong to you. You say Alf Mara.
- 36:50Yeah, Alf Mara 1000 times, meaning many times.
- 36:56And you use the word alpha. And again and again.
- 36:59Allah wanted to draw their attention.
- 37:01Remember this night, if I can say something, I say Alf Shar.
- 37:05But there's no comparison with any other night than this night,
- 37:10like this night. So be there for it now.
- 37:14You know from that narration by Russell Allah Muhammad
- 37:18sallallahu alaihi wasallam. He says a last final at Allah
- 37:21has favoured Friday of all days, the month of Ramadan of all
- 37:26months and Leila Takadar out of. All night.
- 37:30So it shows the the importance and the emphasis on Leila
- 37:33Takadar and Sheikh. I want to ask something about
- 37:36Leila Takadar, You know, so we know, for example, what we
- 37:39understand from the verses, that a last panel at Allah, He also
- 37:43descends the angels during the night of Qatar.
- 37:47Yes, we know at the time of Rasulallah they came to Prophet
- 37:52Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam.
- 37:55Where do the angels go now? They come every Ramadan or they
- 37:58come down every later. Who are they going to?
- 38:02This is very important. So here before we answer the
- 38:06question, we need to remember one thing.
- 38:08The Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, when he was
- 38:11there alive with the Muslims, they used to owner Delilah
- 38:17Tulkader with Ibadah and everything he was there.
- 38:20Tanasalu Malaika angels used to come to him.
- 38:24But as Imam Sadiq Alayhi Salaam says, who is Imam Sadiq?
- 38:30Imam Sadiq is the son of Imam al Baker.
- 38:34Imam al Baker is the son of Imam Ali IB al Hussain Sajad Zainul
- 38:39Abidin, Imam Sajad son of Imam Hussain.
- 38:43Imam Hussain and Imam Hassan are the grandsons of the Holy
- 38:46Prophet. When Imam Sadiq says something,
- 38:49it it means that it came from the treasure of Alul Beit
- 38:53Alayhi, Musam Rasulullah. The Golden Chain.
- 38:55Bila Shak, he says if an ayah was revealed to a group of
- 39:01people, specifically to them, and then that group of people
- 39:05die, the ayah also will be dead. If ayah is specifically for
- 39:14them, we say no, this is for them only.
- 39:16There's no lesson we can learn, nothing to do with us.
- 39:20The eye would be dead when Allah subhanahu what Alice is in it
- 39:32was not only to Rasulullah and then another thing which is very
- 39:38important. As you said, the Arabic language
- 39:40is very important. It's not Phil Almadi Tanazalo
- 39:47means continuously they descend. It's not they descended.
- 39:54No, no, no, they are descending. These angels, Phil a little
- 39:57qader. So the question now is where do
- 39:59they go? So we say they exactly the way
- 40:03Rasulullah was the messenger of Allah.
- 40:06He was Hatamul Ambia Iwal Mursalin.
- 40:09Angels came to him after him. The angels descend to the Aima
- 40:15Hua, the vice after the Holy Prophet Muhammad sallallahu
- 40:22Alaihi. In our time, we believe Imam of
- 40:27our time, Sahi Bulasi Razamani Muhammad al Mahdi al Sharif, he
- 40:32is the one. The angels descend to him.
- 40:34So what do they do? Tanazalul, Malaika, tua roho
- 40:39fiha, Angels. Tanazalu.
- 40:41Meaning they come down and they go up.
- 40:44Yeah. So there's a traffic of angels.
- 40:46Feel a little cutter. They take from us our dua, our
- 40:52sins, we asking Allah for mafira.
- 40:55They bring to us masi and rahma, but they show whatever we are
- 41:01doing and whatever the decree of Allah Subhanahu attallah to the
- 41:05Imam of our time. And that's why we have
- 41:10narrations which says if it were not for dua of Imam Mahdi
- 41:14Sahibul Asri was Zaman, we would be perished.
- 41:18He prays for us. Sometimes things are happening
- 41:21and we don't know what saved us, what came and what changed.
- 41:26Of course it's dua, but it is the dua of Imam.
- 41:28Sahibullahsir was the man, I feel.
- 41:30Like this sort of proves Imama Yeah, for many ways.
- 41:35That's the sort of that and there's there's so many things
- 41:38because like you said, it demonstrates that there is that
- 41:42the earth dunya has not been abandoned by the last.
- 41:44Son, there's. The divine dialogue, divine
- 41:46communication with the angels coming down Malak to World War.
- 41:49And of course, there's a hadith from Ansali Khalid Salaam where
- 41:51he says that led to Qadar was not if led to Qadar was only
- 41:55during the Prophet's time, then that Quran would be obsolete
- 41:58today, which proves that there's a continuity.
- 42:01There's there's a longevity to the Holy Quran and also the
- 42:04barakah of the reader of the Holy Quran, the one who the
- 42:06Quran has been revealed for. And two, being us in today's day
- 42:10and age, I wanted to ask about that malaik to world Rojo and
- 42:14specifically World Rojo. Is that demonstrating something
- 42:17different, the spirit? Or is that maybe Angel Jebrael?
- 42:21Or maybe something else perhaps? Yeah, Alama Toba Tobi in his
- 42:24Tasirul Maizan and other scholars, of course they have
- 42:27mentioned the following opinion. Which is the correct opinion
- 42:32according to them. Allah says Tanazalul Malaika
- 42:35were Roh. So the Angels and the Roh, they
- 42:39descend. The Angels, all of them.
- 42:42Waru, who is this rule? Opinion #1 Some say it is the
- 42:46Angels and Jibrail, Malaika and Ruhi.
- 42:50I mean Jibrail. Oh, Jibril, yeah.
- 42:54Another opinion says no, Tanazalul, Malaika, Tuaru, all
- 42:58the Angels, including Jibrail in one group.
- 43:01Waru, another Angel who has been given the highest status, they
- 43:07come down. So on this kind of understanding
- 43:12we say that the the descendants or the descending of the angels
- 43:18and the rule gives special attention to us that Allah
- 43:22Subhana Hotel doesn't mention only to Nazalul Malaika.
- 43:27No, this is a special night. I want to give favors to anyone
- 43:30who is awake to to ask Allah Subhana what all not only the
- 43:34angels you have had, but also there is a rule another Angel
- 43:38who are coming to take your dua to him.
- 43:41Allah Subhana, what Allah? Is the correct translation
- 43:44spirit when we say how is it? Have I misunderstood?
- 43:48Spirit no, no, no. Spirit yes, In Arabic language
- 43:51spirit is a row. For example in the Holy Quran
- 43:56they ask you about spirit. Holy row home in Amri Rabbi say
- 44:00row, the spirit which gives you life is one of my faculties.
- 44:05However, here in this a row is a special Angel who is known as a
- 44:10row. Beautiful now beautiful also.
- 44:13I want to ask something as well. We know, for example, Qatar, the
- 44:17word Qatar, it can be translated, I think in English
- 44:20and loses its meaning sometimes. We say it means destiny, decree,
- 44:25power and and I think it's all relatable, digestible for us to
- 44:29understand. But technically it means
- 44:33something's going to be written for us.
- 44:35Allah. Allah is going to write what
- 44:38happens between now and next, later, Qatar and Sha Allah.
- 44:42But how do we understand understand this?
- 44:45Because for example, we say a lost panel, what Allah has given
- 44:48us free will and he's going to write our will for us.
- 44:52So how do we understand this is do our actions affect what
- 44:56happens between this later gather and inshallah next later
- 44:59gather? Have I understood this correctly
- 45:01or? In other words, are we, are we,
- 45:07are we forced to do whatever we do because we.
- 45:10Say, for example, if it's the night of destiny and Allah is
- 45:13going to write our destiny for the upcoming year.
- 45:16Yeah, correct. So is there a way where we can
- 45:18change that destiny? Is it down to us?
- 45:20Yes, yes, yes, very important question.
- 45:23Allah Subhana Huatala in Laila tilcader he, he makes the decree
- 45:29of whatever will happen from this year to another year, from
- 45:32Laila tulcader to another Laila tulcader next year.
- 45:36So in in a simple understanding, he decides how many people will
- 45:42continue to live, how many will die, What will be your
- 45:46provision? For example, are you going to be
- 45:49the rich of the richest, insha'allah, or are you going to
- 45:52be the poor poor, the poorest of the poor?
- 45:55Are you? Whatever happened?
- 45:57Trials, tribulation, everything is written.
- 46:00Everything is written in Leila Telkader now.
- 46:04This is decree Allah has decreed.
- 46:08In other words, Allah knows what will happen from this this Layla
- 46:12Tulkadri until next year. Now two things, two things
- 46:16happen here. Number one, can we change that
- 46:20decree and destination if we can call it or not?
- 46:24Yes, the answer we can. What changes the decree?
- 46:31There are many duas. For example, one dua says la
- 46:35rudol caba. Oh la rudol caba la dua, nothing
- 46:41will change the decree except dua.
- 46:44So when you ask Allah Subhana, what Allah sincerely, let for
- 46:47example, Allah decided this particular individual is going
- 46:51to be in trouble and then he decides, no, let me ask Allah
- 46:56sincerely ask for forgiveness and mafira.
- 46:59Allah will change the decrees, the decree and this the measure.
- 47:04What the way they call it. The second one, if you are in
- 47:09the narration of the Holy Prophet, if you want Allah to
- 47:13prolong your life, make sure you do suela to Rahim.
- 47:17Yeah, visit your Keith, Keith and kins visit your relatives,
- 47:22your brothers, your sisters, your aunties, your uncles, your
- 47:24grannies. Visit them any any penny you use
- 47:28it or pence, it will come back to you and your life will be
- 47:32prolonged. So what happened is the the the
- 47:36plan of a last Subhanahu hotel is not for him.
- 47:39It is for us to know. And also for the angels.
- 47:43In one narration it says sometimes angels look at Laohlma
- 47:474th, Laohlma 4th, the tablet and they see this guy was supposed
- 47:53to die, What happened? What happened?
- 47:58His name has disappeared so exactly So what happened then?
- 48:06Allah Subhana what Allah informs them or he did X&Y and Zed I
- 48:12prolonged his life. I'm sure you have seen these
- 48:15clips where, for example, someone was walking and all of a
- 48:18sudden the car came, he was going to be hit, but just
- 48:23fraction he's saved. And I think there's this Nasheed
- 48:29which says Halinda Kasir Ron Bainako Bain Allah is there?
- 48:33Yeah. Is there any seal between you
- 48:35and Allah? How was how were you saved?
- 48:39Accident happened, everyone died.
- 48:41Use you are saved so sometimes sadaka to Siri.
- 48:45Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, they say charity
- 48:48abolishes. Calamities.
- 48:50So to answer your question, yes, there are things which change
- 48:53because of things which we do. And for the youngsters, it is
- 48:57very important to be closer to your mom.
- 49:00Yeah. When you make your mom happy
- 49:02Mom, please help do do her for me.
- 49:05Kiss their hands. Kiss.
- 49:06Kiss forehead, kiss even their feet.
- 49:09Hug them. You know their hearts are soft.
- 49:12They ask for dua. It changes the destination.
- 49:18They say the prey of the mother is one of the.
- 49:20Greatest. And we shouldn't forget the
- 49:22fathers, of course, I know. So fathers may say what's wrong
- 49:24with you guys? No, the fathers as well.
- 49:27You know, we're blessed. I don't think there's any.
- 49:29Maybe I'm wrong, but other episodes where we've had both a
- 49:34father and a son, but we've had obviously Shakyu Band, We're
- 49:38lucky the father and the son completed completed the set.
- 49:43You know, on this point of Bada and Qatar and Qamar and all of
- 49:46these things, of course, there's a hadith from Salah Saddam who
- 49:49says the one who prays on Nelson Qatar will have his destiny
- 49:52changed. And then we see different eyes
- 49:54in Qatar, for example, Sutarat Allah.
- 49:56Allah says Allah erases and confirms what he wills and with
- 50:00him is the mother of the book. Of course, another.
- 50:05This is I39 chapter 13. Sorry.
- 50:08Yeah, I 39 chapter 13. And then there's one more
- 50:12specifically sort of Eunice, another example of this, the
- 50:15people of Eunice Ali Islam would decreed for punishment, but due
- 50:18to their repentance, Allah changed their faith.
- 50:21I think an important thing for us and as you mentioned, I think
- 50:23for youth sometimes, you know, we're tired.
- 50:26You know, I had this discussion with a friend of mine a couple
- 50:28of days ago. One thing beautiful I love about
- 50:32slightly off topic Maghrib time this year is that you know,
- 50:38after Maghrib, no pun intended, but after Maghrib we can have
- 50:42nice baraza. We say like in our community,
- 50:44like nice, chill, you know? No.
- 50:47No, no, no gossip, no gossip like we have.
- 50:52What's the? Word, you know, I think Iraq is,
- 50:55they call it gada. Gada, But you know, there's
- 51:01what's nice is we have our F bar and then we meet later in the
- 51:04night and we have discussion. And one thing one of my friends
- 51:06said to me, he said, you know, in COVID years, the years of
- 51:10COVID when we had to do our mile at home, he said it was nice
- 51:14because I realized that, yes, we love doing Jamaat.
- 51:18You know, we pray and we do all of these things.
- 51:19He goes, but by doing it at home, I don't come home after
- 51:23mosque, you know, all the hassle of going out, you're finding
- 51:25parking and you're getting ready.
- 51:26You put your contact lenses in, you come home, you're tired and
- 51:29he goes, I'm tired. I don't want to do more Amal
- 51:31until Fajr, for example. But one thing about lay little
- 51:35other is I can push myself as much as I can.
- 51:38And I think for me, one thing I've learned in the less on a
- 51:40personal level last couple of years is never, ever, ever give
- 51:44up. Basically when you are so tired
- 51:46you want to go to sleep, you know it's 2:00 AM, you've got
- 51:48work the next day, 3:00 AM. Just think maybe 5 minutes more.
- 51:53Maybe these 5 minutes will mean more to a last point to other
- 51:56than the last 3-4 hours I've done out of.
- 51:58Mind. Because that small push, the
- 52:00extra effort that we do, Allah knows what will benefit it will
- 52:05bring for us, what calamities it will avert or what Baraka it
- 52:08will bring in the coming year. I think this is something which
- 52:11you will never know the answers to.
- 52:12But we see in the Hadith of the Azerbaijan Salaam that the
- 52:15evidence is there. So it's it's a beautiful thing.
- 52:18The question I had long winded prelong, but specifically in
- 52:22terms of bada and whatnot, are there examples of when we look
- 52:27at this verse and we look at this is a last one to Allah
- 52:29saying to us that this, the performance of the minin on
- 52:33Leila Telkadr is the defining factor of what comes or is one
- 52:37of the defining factors And is there anything which we can do?
- 52:40Let's say for example, someone does not take the the night
- 52:43seriously. Yes, how can we change our
- 52:46decree or the decree Allah has for us in the coming year if we
- 52:49don't take this night? Series, Thank you very much.
- 52:51This this question is very important.
- 52:53I I think #1 is to answer the question directly.
- 52:56There are other things, there are other places, there are
- 52:59other times, not only Laila Tulkader.
- 53:02If we take the opportunity of those times, places Allah
- 53:06Subhanahu Wattala may change our decrease and measure.
- 53:10For example, someone who goes for Hajj on the day of Arafah,
- 53:16he does do out there. Allah Subhanahu Wattala will
- 53:20give him whatever he wants to give him.
- 53:23He may change the decree and also to go to the holy places,
- 53:29Masdidu Rasul Medina to Rasulullah Salallahu alaihi
- 53:33Salaam for us. Of course we know Markad of Aima
- 53:37alaihi Musalam. Wherever you whenever you go
- 53:39there, you ask Allah Subhana what Allah he may change Layla
- 53:43till Juma. Layla till Juma is a special
- 53:46night. But all of these, if you put
- 53:48them together, Laila Tulkader comes fast and Allah Subhanahu,
- 53:53what Allah Allah, in the other words, he says that you know,
- 53:57out of mercy, I want to give you more.
- 54:00It's just for you to come to me. Just beseech me and I will give
- 54:04you. Ask me and I will give you.
- 54:08But regarding the bada, for those who don't know, bada is
- 54:14something which Allah knows. Angels may not know, humans may
- 54:20not know. He decides that this is what I
- 54:24will do to my servants, and the angels don't know.
- 54:27Contingent world. Contingent world, but in a
- 54:31negative understanding and unfortunately there are some
- 54:34people outside there they, they think that we believe in bada
- 54:38that Allah didn't know. Now he knows we are not talking
- 54:43about negative whatever they think for us Bada is Allah
- 54:48Subhanahu what Allah out of his knowledge, he knows whatever
- 54:54will, will or would happen. He, he has his plan until Yomal
- 54:58Kiyama. So he knows that this particular
- 55:01individual, he, he is an evil person.
- 55:04But I know after some experiences he will change, he
- 55:08will become a better person. That is the bada angels may not
- 55:11know so bada of Allah Subhanahu Atallah also it it.
- 55:16It may mean here that. This is always mercy.
- 55:19Out of mercy? Yes, exactly.
- 55:22So the verse you have quoted from Surah Rad yam holla ho ma
- 55:26yasha who are youth meet. Why in the ho humul kitab?
- 55:31So umul kitab is the knowledge of everything.
- 55:34That tablet of deleting for example mistakes of someone and
- 55:41affirming something else is only with Allah subhanahu wata al.
- 55:45So it's like angels, sometimes they come and say this guy was
- 55:49evil. We know he was going to
- 55:52Jahannam. What made him to be taken to
- 55:56Jannah? It is bada of Allah.
- 55:58Allah knows but they don't know. And you mentioned something
- 56:02which is very important for people to to pay attention.
- 56:05Story of people of Eunus. Eunus saw them as bad people.
- 56:12He called them and called them, invited them.
- 56:15They didn't listen. Eventually he asked Allah, Allah
- 56:18destroy them and he saw all the signs are coming for the his own
- 56:23people to be destroyed. That's why he ran away from
- 56:25them. But Bada happened, they changed,
- 56:29they started crying, beseeching Allah doing is still far.
- 56:33Yeah, Allah forgive us, we have made Yunus angry and so on and
- 56:37so forth. Instead of them being punished
- 56:39by Allah Subhanahu what Allah? Yunus was swallowed by the well.
- 56:43Follower. Subhanak ini subhanaka ini
- 56:55first, so this is another. If we ask it sincerely for
- 57:02forgiveness, Allah may change our destinations so.
- 57:06Beautiful. Very, very beautiful, you know.
- 57:08I love this. I love.
- 57:09This it's made me understand that Subhanallah is like Allah's
- 57:12knowledge is absolute but our actions matter right?
- 57:16So it goes hand in hand. And Sheikh if I can just add a
- 57:21further question to this subject while we're on it is how do we
- 57:25understand Allah's will even though we're trying or praying
- 57:29for something? Is it just trusting Allah fully?
- 57:33Is that the way to go? And for example, let's say we
- 57:35want our lives to change. We say, you know, little cutter
- 57:38is here. We can pray for better health.
- 57:40We can pray for better wealth. We can pray maybe for better
- 57:43matter of and everything, but we don't see it happening in our
- 57:45lives within our next letter cutter, for example, do we give
- 57:49up and say, oh, what's going on? You know, I tried my best, but
- 57:52Allah hasn't like really changed my decree.
- 57:56Is it all about trusting a lot ultimately at the end of the
- 57:59day, because he may know something we don't know.
- 58:01Yeah. It's very important.
- 58:03We should in #1 lose hope. Yeah.
- 58:05And #2 we should continue asking and asking and asking, you know,
- 58:10when you go to someone's house. Yeah, I remember the times when
- 58:13we didn't have these doorbell or ring Ringo.
- 58:18Even now. Ringo.
- 58:20Ringo's the parking. No ring ring.
- 58:22Ring, Ring. Ring.
- 58:24Ring. Ring.
- 58:24Sorry. Ring.
- 58:25Yeah, on your mobile phone, even you can see.
- 58:28So we used to knock at the door. You knock how many times you
- 58:31used to knock just one time? No, no, many times.
- 58:34And sometimes you bang the door in order for people to open with
- 58:38the last subhanahu watala, we need to ask him again and again,
- 58:41because he says, Odoroni, ask me and I will give you.
- 58:48I answer the supplication of the suppliant when he supplicates to
- 58:58me. So we need to supplicate and do
- 59:00a lot of However, Allah, as you say, out of His knowledge and
- 59:06mercy, sometimes He doesn't give us what we want because we, as
- 59:13per the Holy Quran, our nature, holy cull insanum in agile we
- 59:19are created in haste. I want it and I want it now.
- 59:24We feel like it doesn't go like that.
- 59:26Sometimes I will give it, but I know when is better for you.
- 59:31The suitable time comes. I'll give it to you.
- 59:33So imagine. Yeah, Yeah.
- 59:35You are Mashallah, young, young fathers.
- 59:38Yeah. Correct.
- 59:39Yes, if you wanted whenever you didn't have your your son or
- 59:43daughter and you said yeah, Allah bestow upon us a child and
- 59:46he gives you twins. Blessing, of course.
- 59:54Then you say Allah, I wanted one, why are you giving me two?
- 59:57So Allah out of his mercy He knows.
- 1:00:00When can he give you and how can he give you and how?
- 1:00:04Of course. So this is important for us when
- 1:00:07we don't get it next year or between now and next year, we
- 1:00:11shouldn't lose hope, we say and allow, allow alum, he knows
- 1:00:17better than me, but I should continue to do dua.
- 1:00:21Another thing which is very important, there's a cause,
- 1:00:24causality, the law of causality. Even though we do do a but we
- 1:00:29have to to do our actions as you say, we need to make our acts in
- 1:00:33order. Yeah, I shouldn't just sit down
- 1:00:36and say, yeah, Allah, I ask you, Yeah, Allah, give me wife, give
- 1:00:39me husband. And then we don't do such.
- 1:00:42Yeah, make me to be Alim and I don't go to college.
- 1:00:46Yeah, Allah, I want some money and I don't go to work.
- 1:00:50It doesn't work like that. I have to do my my part and that
- 1:00:54is actions and then Allah subhanahu what Allah will bless
- 1:00:57that. There is a saying in Arabic
- 1:00:58which says Minkal haraka wamin allahil baraka, Minkal haraka
- 1:01:06from you actions mean Allahil baraka Allah will bless your
- 1:01:10actions. Yeah, Baraka, it's.
- 1:01:13Like saying like if, if, if you want, for example, wealth, you
- 1:01:15know, people focus on wealth and risk and financial wealth.
- 1:01:19God will bless you if you go work for it, right?
- 1:01:21If you want the body care, you know, get on your feet and get
- 1:01:24your hands dirty as they say. Just something.
- 1:01:26If I can ask you, you know, just speaking on this thing.
- 1:01:28We pray for something and maybe Allah knows best.
- 1:01:31I know I know someone who's who doesn't live in the Uka good
- 1:01:35friend of mine, he'll handle has good wealth.
- 1:01:40You know, he's been dressed by a loss of handler for many, many
- 1:01:43years, many businesses and things like this, but he never
- 1:01:46found a true connection, a true bond, the relationship with the
- 1:01:50loss upon and he realized every time he prays for something,
- 1:01:54Allah gives it to him, right? He's been blessing him with all
- 1:01:57of this. And then he he told the loss
- 1:01:59upon. You know what I feel like this.
- 1:02:01The money has distracted me from you.
- 1:02:04If this is what's, you know, put in a barrier between me and you,
- 1:02:07take away my money. This.
- 1:02:10Business is all collapsed, but he is richer without law.
- 1:02:14I think he's happy the way it is.
- 1:02:16And that was a lesson to me, by the way.
- 1:02:18Like sometimes we're praying for something beautiful gives it to
- 1:02:21you, but now you want Martha with God.
- 1:02:24This is the test. That's the sacrifice.
- 1:02:26Yeah, because. You're saying, you know, to say
- 1:02:29that something you can touch, see, feel, just cut that off to
- 1:02:34sever that sacrifice, that and and you're making that cosmic
- 1:02:37trade with our last Mantala and saying I will trade this wealth
- 1:02:40for the wealth of the hereafter. That is something which takes
- 1:02:42courage and Iman and yakin, and that's something we pray for.
- 1:02:46However, however yeah you remember ayah which we we when
- 1:02:51we pray we make it as connote rabana artina fidunia hassana.
- 1:02:57So we need to hassanat or two Hassan attain Hassan of this
- 1:03:02world and Hassan of Ahera. Hassana means good of this life,
- 1:03:05the cop real world which we are living in and hassana in Akira.
- 1:03:10If Allah can give you wealth as well as marifa, then that should
- 1:03:14be the way to go forward. So he has enough now.
- 1:03:18He says. Allah has given me enough to
- 1:03:20live. Al Hamdulillah.
- 1:03:22He's content he had. Excess Marshall.
- 1:03:24And that, you know, lost him in the stone.
- 1:03:25Yeah, and another thing is important for for for him and
- 1:03:28for all of us to remember la in shakur tum la azida nakul.
- 1:03:33If you thank me, I will give you more.
- 1:03:35Now, Shekhar, obviously we're coming towards the end of the
- 1:03:38discussion, Salaam matla elfaj. Now one or two questions I have
- 1:03:44specifically on this last verse. Now one in terms of the Salaam,
- 1:03:50the Salaam which Allah is giving in this verse, from my
- 1:03:53understanding and just some reflections I've written down,
- 1:03:57it's like a peace or a tranquility like no others
- 1:04:00divine. The doors of mercy are open, the
- 1:04:03doors of divinity are open. The absence of share Barnes
- 1:04:06influence isn't there. So it allows our hearts to
- 1:04:08obtain kind of inner peace as well.
- 1:04:11But how do we obtain and attain the Salaam in practical life?
- 1:04:16Obviously we see in sort of so #17 at last point that says in
- 1:04:20chapter #17 verse #82 the Quran is healing and mercy, Shafa or
- 1:04:27rahma for example. So that shafa and rahma.
- 1:04:31Is that what we look for as Salaam?
- 1:04:34What is the Salaam Allah is giving us?
- 1:04:35Is it peace in a dunya we sense free from conflict and
- 1:04:39aggression? Or what is that Salaam
- 1:04:41specifically? There's something here which has
- 1:04:44been written that the peace of Layla Tulkader is not just an
- 1:04:49absence of conflict, but a manifestation of divine
- 1:04:54tranquility. This peace descends from Allah
- 1:04:59along with the angels and the roar.
- 1:05:02The angels descend, carrying divine decrees, blessings and
- 1:05:05mercy, bringing serenity to the hearts of believers.
- 1:05:11The night is a time when the soul finds inner peace as divine
- 1:05:16light overwhelms wallet distractions.
- 1:05:20Beautiful. Now when we look at this also we
- 1:05:23find that in the Holy Quran, Allah subhanahu, what Allah says
- 1:05:26clearly, Allah be vicarilla. Indeed in the remembrance of
- 1:05:33Allah, new hearts find press a Surah rad Surah 13 I 28 So Leila
- 1:05:38tukader is a night of divine remembrance.
- 1:05:42Night of Vicar, we are those who are sincere, sick, Allah
- 1:05:46experienced deep tranquility and peace.
- 1:05:50This reflects a higher spiritual reality.
- 1:05:54So the closer one gets to Allah, the more they experience enough
- 1:05:58peace. This peace is not dependent on
- 1:06:02on external events. It is a state of the soul.
- 1:06:07It is a gift given to those who truly submit to Allah's decree.
- 1:06:13The night itself is peace, but whatever is there, so the peace
- 1:06:17continue and it is here as as you have said, it's not just
- 1:06:22absence of war and so on and so forth.
- 1:06:25The peace, yes, there is peace which we pray to Allah
- 1:06:29Subhanawatallah and those who are in trouble lands, may Allah
- 1:06:32Subhanawatallah bring peace to them through Laila Tulkader.
- 1:06:37But at the same time, it is that inner peace.
- 1:06:40You know, the biggest issue one may may find is when you have
- 1:06:44everything but you don't have peace, especially the inner
- 1:06:47peace, the tranquility. Sukoon.
- 1:06:49Sukoon ascent and this is what we find it in Laila Tulkad.
- 1:06:54So Allah is Salaam, you know the names of Allah Subhanahu hotel
- 1:06:59as Salaam al Mukhmin al Muhammad and so on and so forth.
- 1:07:02He is the source of peace. Laila Tulkader is Lila of peace.
- 1:07:06Where we go back to Allah Subhana.
- 1:07:08What Allah to say? Yeah, Allah, so long as you say
- 1:07:11Salaam on here hat Amatullah alfaj, there is no here your
- 1:07:15punishment, your Lana or whatever to your servants.
- 1:07:18We ask Allah Subhanahu what Allah to give us peace because
- 1:07:22this inner peace is what we need to have until and.
- 1:07:29The ultimate peace, you know the.
- 1:07:33If I. Just remembered some verses.
- 1:07:40But you know, he says, peace be. Upon me today.
- 1:07:46Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That piece is very important.
- 1:07:49And it's important as you said, if, if we end up not connecting
- 1:07:54the Holy Quran with Al Bait Alayhi Musalam, then that
- 1:07:58understanding will be dry. The understanding will be a dry
- 1:08:01one. Imam Alayhi Salaam, when he will
- 1:08:04reappear, the Holy Prophet says clearly, Liam al Aruba Kiston
- 1:08:08Wadilan Baadamam, only Abdul Manjora, even though there is a
- 1:08:13peace in the world, in many parts of the world, but there
- 1:08:16will be a lot of injustice and corruption.
- 1:08:19And in Layla Tulkadir, when we find the peace, we we look for
- 1:08:23peace. We need to connect it with Imam
- 1:08:25of our time, Alayhi Sarah. One thing I've realized in in
- 1:08:29today's episode is that just some reflection, it brings so
- 1:08:35much clarity and so much, I think, benefit to all of us.
- 1:08:39And Al Hamdallah, we've done one hour of reflection today.
- 1:08:42Shala, we pray it's worth 70 years.
- 1:08:43An hour of reflection is equal to 70 years.
- 1:08:48One last thing I wanted to mention from actually the wasat
- 1:08:50is a kind of correspondence between Kalimallah Nabi Musa Ali
- 1:08:57Salaam and Allah. It says Rasulullah Muhammad
- 1:09:01sallallahu Salaam narrates this tradition where he says Musa
- 1:09:04Alai Salaam said my Lord I desire your proximity.
- 1:09:08Our last month Allah replied my proximity is there for the one
- 1:09:11who stays awake. He said my Lord, I desire your
- 1:09:14mercy. Allah said my mercy is for the
- 1:09:17one who has mercy on the poor during later kadar, he said, my
- 1:09:21Lord, I desire a safe passage on Al Surat, the bridge.
- 1:09:25He said that is for the one who gives charity on later kadar, he
- 1:09:28said, my Lord, I desire the trees and the fruits of
- 1:09:31paradise. He said that is for the one who
- 1:09:33glorifies me on the little kadar.
- 1:09:35He said, my Lord, I desire salvation from here, from the
- 1:09:38Hellfire. He said that is for the one who
- 1:09:40seeks forgiveness on the little Kadar and finally he said, my
- 1:09:43Lord, I desire your pleasure and he said my pleasure is for the
- 1:09:47one who recites 2 units of prayer on.
- 1:09:51I think that's just a nice beautiful summary on that what
- 1:09:55we can do and shut Allah to discuss a nice.
- 1:09:59If I can add one thing which is very important sometimes,
- 1:10:01especially because you are you are you are Mashallah engaging
- 1:10:05the youth. Sometimes there's this question,
- 1:10:08especially from the sisters, if they're for example, in their
- 1:10:12cycles, you're talking about Salah, they can't pray.
- 1:10:16What else can they do? There's a lot to be done just
- 1:10:19sitting on the masala. If you can manage with you, I
- 1:10:23will do. And doing is still far.
- 1:10:25Doing tauba. You're asking Allah for
- 1:10:28forgiveness, mentioning the Allah's name Vikrullah.
- 1:10:32You don't risk read Quran because you can't at that time
- 1:10:35all all that with your intention because intention matters and
- 1:10:39Allah subhanahu what Allah will give the masses in baraka to all
- 1:10:43of them insha'allah. Saying that, there's two things
- 1:10:47which else we can do. One is subscribe to Optima Club.
- 1:10:51Yes, subscribe. Subscribe to our YouTube
- 1:10:53channel, Bruns Sisters. And become a partner.
- 1:10:55Becoming a partner, supporting us insha'allah.
- 1:10:57And secondly, Bruns sisters, as we've heard the Sheikh
- 1:10:59beautifully say as well, there's so much that we can do outside
- 1:11:02of just the praying and the Quran and of course, Salaka as
- 1:11:06well. And we mentioned earlier in that
- 1:11:07episode that we are working with us on our trust to support those
- 1:11:10in need. And what better time than to do
- 1:11:13this. So if you are one of the last
