  I don't know. But in this case, we have the

  Coke 600 and the Indy 500, and they're saying it's going to be

  rained out. Everything's going to be a

  washout. Do you really think everything's

  It's so exciting. OK, this Ella Langley is in

  everybody's head. Just when I got him to fall in

  love with Tennessee, made a mistake and to came back to

  Ella Langley won everything a couple nights ago on the Country

  Music TV Awards. Man, it's peaceful here, you

  know, even somebody like me has too much noise.

  It's a madhouse and they're the babies everybody's getting on

  their computers going to work. I'm like, you know what?

  I I started waiting for everybody to get quiet.

  I realized it's all going to get quiet in here.

  I think I'll go outside. Oh, boy, they got me back,

  didn't they? My Mama said, course, you know,

  I'm crazy and I'm all centered. And my Mama said years ago, she

  goes, I'll get you back. She said that with all girls.

  And I said, Mama, you gave me a gift.

  That was my monologue yesterday on Tuesday.

  Tuesday was a big day. The NASCAR Hall of Fame put in
• 2:38
  three of, you know, Hall of Famers 4 actually, 'cause we

  have the Landmark Award with Lesa Kennedy, but Kevin Harvick
• 2:48
  is in. Jeff Burton is in.
• 2:52
  And finally, after 14 years, our hero in the in the Midwest, the
• 2:59
  great Larry Phillips got in as a pioneer.

  I guess pioneer means you're older and you're well deserving.

  But Larry went up against a lot of greats.

  Larry, I think he went up against, did he go up against
• 3:14
  Ernie Elliott and Banjo Matthews and a lot of legends?

  So Larry Phillips in the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

  Rightfully so. So my brother Rusty called me

  because Rusty loves me. And, you know, he recognized,

  hey, by the way, Rusty is sharing Instagram stuff with me

  now. And I know Schrader's on social

  media too. So they're coming around,

  everybody, the old people are coming around.

  So that that is Kenny Schrader on Facebook making those posts,

  by the way. And brother Rusty is sharing

  Instagram stuff with me. So, you know, it's it's a new

  world, a new, a new world is dawning.

  It's not bad. It's just how you control it.

  It's just how do you control it? So anyway, Rusty calls, and I

  miss his call, so I call right back.

  And I'm so thankful that Rusty told me the whole story.

  I know all the names. I'll protect some of the people

  just in case they don't want to know.

  But Rusty was asked by NASCAR executives to get up and make a
• 4:37
  speech about the great Larry Phillips.

  So Rusty got up, gave a wonderful speech.

  Now, all this was, you know, just in the the committee, the
• 4:48
  people that are voted to vote on who should be in the Hall of
• 4:51
  Fame. And these people take their job
• 4:54
  very seriously. However, it's very hard for them
• 4:57
  to know everything. And of course, I've been
• 5:03
  whining. Dale Senior don't like whiners,
• 5:07
  but I've been whining and complaining.

  I've been whining and complaining.

  And I've been working hard to get Larry Phillips into the
• 5:14
  NASCAR Hall of Fame since I've been taught that it don't matter
• 5:20
  what you're in. Hell, it seems to me like you
• 5:23
  could be a sportsman racer and get in the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

  No, I exaggerate a little bit there.

  But anyway, Rusty stood up in front of everybody and gave her
• 5:35
  the reason why Larry Phillips should be in the Hall of Fame.

  Larry Phillips raced for a living when you didn't race for
• 5:43
  a living, just like Richie Evans did, who is in the NASCAR Hall
• 5:46
  of Fame. Larry Phillips won five NASCAR
• 5:51
  regional championships. His winning percentage was
• 5:56
  ridiculous, like through the roof.
• 5:57
  Good. So anyway, what was interesting

  was when it was all over Rusty, my brother Rusty told me that
• 6:07
  Etzel Ford, The Wood Brothers, I believe even Dave Moody went up
• 6:15
  to Rusty and said, damn, I didn't know all that about Larry
• 6:19
  Phillips. And that, my friends, is why I
• 6:23
  said the voters are too southern based, northeastern eastern
• 6:28
  based. A lot, a lot of these people
• 6:31
  that are voting in the Hall of Fame, they're they're from here
• 6:35
  or they're, they're they got, they got all this knowledge
• 6:38
  about, you know, the East Coast. I'm not going to go North and
• 6:44
  South, OK, I'm not going to say north side, let's just say over
• 6:47
  here. So, you know, it's like Hershel
• 6:51
  McGriff, you know, NASCAR loved Hershel McGriff.
• 6:54
  I mean, the France family loved him because of the effort that
• 6:58
  Hershel put in. And, you know, it's very rare to
• 7:03
  see somebody from the West Coast get put in the Hall of Fame of
• 7:08
  that age. But Herschel finally got put in
• 7:12
  because he was a legend and, you know, they gave him his due.

  So I think that's the thing with Larry Phillips.

  OK, complete different subject. I saw that Dale Junior and I saw

  that people, you know, are up in arms that The CW Network is
• 7:40
  commentating on the O'Reilly races from from the studios.

  Listen, you know, look, everybody wants everything
• 7:52
  perfect. We we all want to be at the
• 7:53
  racetrack. I did TV for years.

  There's nobody better than me. I know everything.

  I always tell my mom, I said, Mama, I'm going to cut through

  the bull. I'm going to give you a Speedy

  Gonzales deal on this. And that's what I just did.

  Nobody knows TV better than me. I was in TVI know all about it.

  And one individual can cost each company up to $3000 just to, you

  know, fly in there per dim hotel room rental car.

  So we are in a new world where people are able to work for

  their computers at home. And would it be better to be
• 8:41
  there at the racetrack? Yes.

  But to make a big deal out of it, it's not a big deal.

  OK, So when I was in TV, they would say go down in the garage
• 8:53
  area because when you come on the air, we want you to say I
• 8:57
  was in the garage area and I talked to because they want you
• 9:02
  to let the people at home that you're there and you've been
• 9:05
  talking to everybody. Well, you know what I started
• 9:08
  doing so I didn't go in the garage area.

  I texted the son of a bitches because it might have been
• 9:15
  raining. This is life, my friends.

  And there there is a lot of things that are missing when

  you're in studio. So you, you have some buttons.

  You have, you have a button like if you got a cough, you push a

  button, ha ha, So you don't hear it in the microphone.

  I got a cough ha, ha, you know, or put, but anyway, it's a

  button. It's called a cough button.

  Then you got a button to talk to the producer, the director.

  You push the button, you go, hey, look, you know, So what

  happens when you're doing TV from the booth?

  You got to look at the TV monitor.

  So you talk about what you, what you are saying.

  Well, you can't look at the race yourself and go, look, I want

  you to pay, take the camera and, and poke the camera back here
• 9:59
  because I see this battle going on that this guy started twenty

  of these all the way up to 9th. So you might change the

  director's mind. Well, I mean, if, if you're in
• 10:10
  the booth in Charlotte, you know, if you got some, you got
• 10:12
  cameras everywhere. So yes, it is nice to be there,

  but costs are out of hand. We are our own worst enemies.

  It's still all good. That's my opinion because I know
• 10:28
  everything about TV and I, I am really good at TV.
