- 0:00Speaker 1: Money coming in on the Chargers, money coming in on
- 0:03Speaker 1: the under. That's right, the Philadelphia Eagles playing the LA
- 0:08Speaker 1: Chargers to end Week fourteen of the NFL. We're going
- 0:11Speaker 1: to take that game apart. We're also going to give
- 0:13Speaker 1: you bets on every single NBA game on the board,
- 0:17Speaker 1: every single NHL game of the board, some college basketball,
- 0:21Speaker 1: and we're gonna reminisce about the good times known as
- 0:25Speaker 1: the Denver Bronco Las Vegas Raiders game. This just in
- 0:29Speaker 1: Joe Ranaian Steve Merrill with me.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Joe.
- 0:33Speaker 1: I just saw Pete Carroll at the bank. He was
- 0:36Speaker 1: cashing his ticket, putting his money away. He's got to
- 0:40Speaker 1: feel good about himself right now. Great win, Pete Carroll,
- 0:44Speaker 1: way to go, great cover, Pete cow way to go. Yes,
- 0:48Speaker 1: win for him, Win for him because he's at the bank.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Awful, absolutely awful on so many different levels for that game.
- 0:56Speaker 2: But I listen, like, got anything else. You drawn a
- 0:59Speaker 2: line saying half half the people with the Denver tickets
- 1:03Speaker 2: are going you gotta be kidding me those and I
- 1:05Speaker 2: had the Raiders say it was never in down press never.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Never, and and and I was on the under guys,
- 1:12Speaker 1: the real white guy is Steve Merrill translucent but not
- 1:20Speaker 1: not at the Brian power level?
- 1:22Speaker 3: No, No, nobody is at that level.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Yes, Steve, have you ever seen the sun?
- 1:31Speaker 3: Yes? This is something we explained to Press every time,
- 1:34Speaker 3: is that it's the ring light. In fact, I cannot.
- 1:36Speaker 3: I'll tell you what, Press, I'll make myself nice and
- 1:38Speaker 3: orange for you like it.
- 1:42Speaker 2: There you go, that's dead.
- 1:44Speaker 3: That's dead, Steve. Okay, there you go. Look look what
- 1:52Speaker 3: that could be. Look I'll be as orange as everybody
- 1:54Speaker 3: else for the rest of the show.
- 1:56Speaker 1: There you go. That's the spot, right, Joe. I feel
- 2:01Speaker 1: like the lighting in Steve Merrill's house is.
- 2:05Speaker 3: I'm thinking Joe, I got him that quickly off of me,
- 2:07Speaker 3: onto the the lights. Now I've solved the problem.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Oh with squirrel. I love it fantast.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Okay, So we got a big game tonight. Yes, Eagles
- 2:20Speaker 1: are in a bit of a free fall. Justin is injured.
- 2:25Speaker 1: He is going to play. Seventy four of the tickets
- 2:30Speaker 1: have been written of the money is on the over
- 2:34Speaker 1: yet it's coming down and the money is pretty even.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Yet we're now seeing a minus two instead of a
- 2:41Speaker 1: two and a half. Steve Merrill, I'll start with you
- 2:43Speaker 1: my brother, who do you like in this game?
- 2:47Speaker 3: So I did a standalone video for this game, as
- 2:49Speaker 3: I do every week for the Monday night football games
- 2:51Speaker 3: on Wait to Talk TV, and one of the things
- 2:53Speaker 3: I pointed out was, yes, the Eagles offense has been struggling,
- 2:56Speaker 3: and it almost seems too easy to be present this
- 2:58Speaker 3: game to just say under, Eagles under. But then the
- 3:02Speaker 3: problem is we have so much uncertainty with the Chargers
- 3:04Speaker 3: and quarterback Justin Herbert, who is expected to play, but
- 3:08Speaker 3: he has a broken left hand. He was limited in
- 3:10Speaker 3: practice on Thursday and Friday. In fact, they're going more
- 3:13Speaker 3: shotgun formation because they don't want him have to take
- 3:15Speaker 3: that snap under center with that top hand getting the
- 3:17Speaker 3: impact of the ball. But it's not his throwing hand,
- 3:21Speaker 3: So let's just take them out of the equation. When
- 3:22Speaker 3: I gave him the video, and I still like, is
- 3:25Speaker 3: the Eagle team total under twenty one and a half?
- 3:28Speaker 3: No question, twenty one is a key number we get
- 3:31Speaker 3: that working force in our favor. I'd have to pull up,
- 3:34Speaker 3: but I think like six of the last eight games
- 3:35Speaker 3: the Eagles have scored twenty one or less. Seems a
- 3:38Speaker 3: little obvious to me here, and it concerns me. But
- 3:40Speaker 3: the other thing I'll point out is that the Chargers
- 3:43Speaker 3: defense is better than people realize if you look at
- 3:45Speaker 3: him statistically this year, they've been pretty good when you
- 3:48Speaker 3: factor and opponents played, and I think they can hold
- 3:50Speaker 3: the Eagles in check. I don't think Phillies necessary figured
- 3:53Speaker 3: anything out here. Chargers on the year getting up just
- 3:55Speaker 3: twenty one points a game, by the way, and just
- 3:57Speaker 3: five point two yards per play. And this the game
- 4:00Speaker 3: last night with the other Super Bowl competitor from last season,
- 4:03Speaker 3: the Kansas City Chiefs, should just play that game under.
- 4:06Speaker 3: You know, I got sneaky in my free play video
- 4:07Speaker 3: and I leaned Kansas City had a bad feeling about
- 4:10Speaker 3: it because I just don't think they're any good. They
- 4:12Speaker 3: were play against team for me all season, the offensive
- 4:14Speaker 3: line injuries, but I just didn't want to go under.
- 4:16Speaker 3: Forty and a half should have gone under. That game
- 4:19Speaker 3: was never in doubt with the under, Kansas City's offensive struggling,
- 4:22Speaker 3: and I don't think you just fix a struggling offense
- 4:24Speaker 3: overnight until I see the Eagles do something otherwise, I
- 4:27Speaker 3: think they're gonna struggle to score in this one. I
- 4:29Speaker 3: take the under twenty one and a half of their
- 4:31Speaker 3: team total.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Yeah, Joseph, what do you think of that breakdown? I'velt
- 4:36Speaker 1: it was a bit wager talk today.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Ish ooh, all, well, I'll just throw this out of
- 4:43Speaker 2: It's seven of twelve games Steve this year, they have
- 4:46Speaker 2: not scored more than twenty one points. So they are
- 4:49Speaker 2: you know, to your point, they are anemic to say
- 4:53Speaker 2: the least. They also lead the league in three and outs.
- 4:56Speaker 2: So nothing, you know, Lane Johnson, not in this game.
- 5:00Speaker 2: It's amazing to me that a tackle can be that
- 5:03Speaker 2: important to the success, not just this year. Like you
- 5:06Speaker 2: go back to twenty twenty two, and I think sixty
- 5:09Speaker 2: five sixty six percent of the games that he hasn't
- 5:12Speaker 2: played in they can't score. It's amazing to me how
- 5:16Speaker 2: much he means to this team. And yet I'm not
- 5:20Speaker 2: sure that the Chargers defense, who gives up the fewest
- 5:23Speaker 2: twenty or more yard plays explosive plays than any team
- 5:26Speaker 2: in the NFL. I don't know how to go in
- 5:29Speaker 2: there and expect to flip a switch and go can't
- 5:32Speaker 2: look at the over I mean, defensive touchdowns and all,
- 5:36Speaker 2: but this feels like a hardball game. Pez This is
- 5:39Speaker 2: exactly the kind of game where Harbaugh is like hand left,
- 5:42Speaker 2: hand right, take the air out of the ball and
- 5:45Speaker 2: will beat you thirteen to seven and be very happy
- 5:47Speaker 2: in doing so.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Yeah, and I'm confused at this number. I mean, this
- 5:55Speaker 1: reminds me of the Jacksonville, Indianapolis game here where you
- 5:58Speaker 1: have you know that first impression lasts kind of concept.
- 6:04Speaker 1: We had Philadelphia win the Super Bowl last year. We
- 6:06Speaker 1: had Philadelphia go on a nice run to start the season,
- 6:11Speaker 1: and people just can't get out of their mind that
- 6:14Speaker 1: this Philadelphia team is, you know, the super Bowl champs.
- 6:17Speaker 1: This is not the same Philadelphia team that we've seen.
- 6:20Speaker 1: This team is lacking chemistry offensively at a very high level.
- 6:25Speaker 1: They're really struggling to move the ball. Jesus man. They
- 6:28Speaker 1: even fumbled on their famous push push last week. I
- 6:33Speaker 1: don't understand why San Diego is the dog hare at
- 6:38Speaker 1: San Diego, the Alley Chargers of the dog Hare. I
- 6:40Speaker 1: think the Chargers of the play Joe and Steve. I
- 6:44Speaker 1: think that I think that the Philly's a false favorite.
- 6:50Speaker 3: No arguments. I wouldn't disagree with the false favor narrative.
- 6:53Speaker 3: I mean, if you look at what these teams have
- 6:54Speaker 3: done in recent weeks, the Chargers have played as well,
- 6:57Speaker 3: if not better. They've won for their last five straight
- 6:59Speaker 3: up up Eagles had dropped back to back games. I
- 7:02Speaker 3: think part of it pres is like, well, it's a
- 7:03Speaker 3: defending Super Bowl champs. The team that had won like
- 7:05Speaker 3: twenty four out of twenty eight up till a month
- 7:07Speaker 3: ago is off back to back losses. But they're legitimate losses.
- 7:11Speaker 3: Twenty one points, fifteen points against the Bears. Let's not
- 7:14Speaker 3: forget Chicago has a bad defense and the Packers put
- 7:17Speaker 3: up a good amount of points yesterday. One thing I
- 7:20Speaker 3: will point out, guys, is the Eagles had four turnovers
- 7:22Speaker 3: the last two games. Turnovers do sometimes, you know, randomly
- 7:25Speaker 3: turn around. But this is a tough trip. Also coast
- 7:28Speaker 3: to coast Monday night football. Not that LA has a
- 7:31Speaker 3: huge home contendency. Yeah, I don't disagree Press. I think
- 7:35Speaker 3: the Chargers are probably a live dog in this one.
- 7:37Speaker 3: But hey, look a teaser play taking them to plus
- 7:40Speaker 3: eight and a half is really attractive to me. Two
- 7:42Speaker 3: two and a half up to eight eight and a
- 7:44Speaker 3: half excellent teaser. And it should be a low scoring
- 7:47Speaker 3: game with a toble forty one and a half. And
- 7:48Speaker 3: we just mentioned the reasons why we all kind of
- 7:50Speaker 3: lean under Chargers. Teaser at plus eight eight and a
- 7:53Speaker 3: half makes a lot of sense, And of course you
- 7:55Speaker 3: have to tie that up a game later next weekend.
- 7:58Speaker 1: We're going to need a second leg for that, guys.
- 8:00Speaker 1: So I will I'll throw out Cincinnati. They are plus
- 8:05Speaker 1: two and a half at home hosting a Baltimore team
- 8:09Speaker 1: that well just can't get out of their own way.
- 8:13Speaker 1: So perhaps you want to parlay it with Cincinnati. I
- 8:18Speaker 1: would stay.
- 8:19Speaker 3: Away situation President Cleveland. Yes, I saw one and a
- 8:25Speaker 3: half against Cleveland. I mean they can't lose that game.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Right there, you go. I think there's there's some opportunity
- 8:33Speaker 1: right there for you guys. That's a nice catch. Steve Merrill. Okay, guys,
- 8:40Speaker 1: Steve Merrill, you haven't seen him on the show before.
- 8:42Speaker 1: One of the best handicappers on the planet, having an
- 8:46Speaker 1: outstanding NFL season right now, and you can find him
- 8:49Speaker 1: over at wagertalk dot com. An incredible handicapper and a
- 8:54Speaker 1: better dude, that's for sure. There's a picture of him
- 8:58Speaker 1: from nineteen eighty three. Uh, welcome to the show, Steve. Guys.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Hit that like button?
- 9:04Speaker 3: Yeah, that like me? That what looks like team called
- 9:11Speaker 3: me Joe on Saturday and told me I had to
- 9:13Speaker 3: do the show today. That was a live reaction when
- 9:16Speaker 3: I found out I was doing the show today, and
- 9:17Speaker 3: I calmed down. I had about forty eight hours to
- 9:20Speaker 3: regroup and realize I could put up with this for
- 9:22Speaker 3: thirty minutes. Jovenary, my emotional support dog, joven Airey, would
- 9:26Speaker 3: be here here. Yeah, and it would be a buffer.
- 9:29Speaker 3: This is part of the deal. I could not be
- 9:31Speaker 3: next to Pres. Yeah, there's a buffer there, what we
- 9:35Speaker 3: call cracked.
- 9:37Speaker 1: I need Joe. Even though Steve is in Virginia, Jose
- 9:41Speaker 1: in Florida, and Pres is in Toronto, I still need
- 9:45Speaker 1: Jovenary in between the two of us.
- 9:48Speaker 3: I go, Pres has a fluffer. I need a buffer,
- 9:51Speaker 3: and this is how Yeah that's very good.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Well at least Press isn't the fluffer. Yes, A smart
- 9:59Speaker 1: told me, we got lots of show left to go. Guys,
- 10:03Speaker 1: to stay with us, but I do have a public
- 10:05Speaker 1: announcement to make sure. Yeah, so it turns out that
- 10:10Speaker 1: my ex wife does watch some of these shows.
- 10:14Speaker 3: So expensive.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Yeah, So just to reiterate, guys, because I'm going to
- 10:19Speaker 1: make a public announcement so you all understand last week,
- 10:23Speaker 1: there was a person who commented named Debbie Head, and
- 10:26Speaker 1: I pointed out that my ex wife's first name is Debbie,
- 10:30Speaker 1: but her last name is definitely not.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Well.
- 10:36Speaker 1: She heard about this and was upset. So I would
- 10:39Speaker 1: like to look into the camera and Debbie, I'm sorry,
- 10:50Speaker 1: you definitely do not suck.
- 10:56Speaker 3: Can This is where neither you know councils, payrolls clicking
- 11:05Speaker 3: Joe for the rate wager talk council.
- 11:08Speaker 1: There you go. I've apologized to my asks.
- 11:11Speaker 2: We move on.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Now do that.
- 11:16Speaker 3: Legal? Legal made you do that?
- 11:18Speaker 2: Yes, just to just to make sure everyone understood.
- 11:20Speaker 3: Like it's like in Talladega Knights when Ricky Ricky Bobby
- 11:23Speaker 3: kept saying with all due respect, yes, suck with all
- 11:27Speaker 3: due respect. It's in the Geneva Convention.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Yes, Steve Merrill, we gotta go through what did we learn.
- 11:39Speaker 1: I'll throw them teams out, but let's open it up
- 11:42Speaker 1: to you. So anything you can talk college football, you
- 11:45Speaker 1: can talk NFL if anything stood out to you could
- 11:48Speaker 1: talk about the fact that Pete Carroll is clearly a
- 11:50Speaker 1: better whatever you want, and then we'll go through some
- 11:55Speaker 1: teams afterwards. So the mic is yours.
- 11:58Speaker 3: Yeah, Now I'm going to talk about fame. The public's
- 12:00Speaker 3: extremely successful in a moment, but you said college football,
- 12:02Speaker 3: so I got to jump into that. I'm watching the
- 12:05Speaker 3: selection show a lod yesterday at noon Eastern, and ESPN
- 12:09Speaker 3: als these different metrics they use, and every one of
- 12:11Speaker 3: them had Notre Dame stronger than Miami. Their football power Index,
- 12:14Speaker 3: their quality games, their strength of schedule, their strength of
- 12:17Speaker 3: opponent's schedule, all these things had Notre Dame that is
- 12:20Speaker 3: the better team than Miami. And of course they put
- 12:22Speaker 3: Miami of Florida in and Joe Werenary and I talked
- 12:25Speaker 3: about this on Saturday evening and Joe got a big
- 12:27Speaker 3: chuckle out of it, and I said, what could go
- 12:29Speaker 3: wrong when you have thirteen anonymous voters who have no
- 12:31Speaker 3: accountability in a room making selections, They can do whatever
- 12:35Speaker 3: the hell they want. And Miami of Florida, coming in
- 12:38Speaker 3: this week in the All state playoff predictor had an
- 12:40Speaker 3: eleven percent chance of making the postseason. I kept thinking
- 12:42Speaker 3: to myself, how do they have any chance of making
- 12:44Speaker 3: the postseason? They've been behind Notre Dame every year in
- 12:46Speaker 3: the polls, neither one of them is playing, and including
- 12:49Speaker 3: last week's playoff pole and then you have Duke Virginia.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Virginia wins as a favorite. They get in. Of course
- 12:54Speaker 3: they don't win anyway. Long story short, Miami is in.
- 12:57Speaker 3: And they do this stuff on purpose. They put Alabama
- 12:59Speaker 3: in number nine when people thought they might not get
- 13:01Speaker 3: in at all. Don't fall for it. And I'm falling
- 13:04Speaker 3: forward because I'm talking about it already. They do this
- 13:06Speaker 3: for you to talk about. It's the same reason we
- 13:08Speaker 3: only had two teams and then only four teams for
- 13:10Speaker 3: a decade in the playoffs, when they could have been
- 13:11Speaker 3: doing this all along. And it's the same reason we
- 13:13Speaker 3: don't currently have sixteen teams like we should, and we
- 13:16Speaker 3: probably will within the next few years. Also, it's ironic
- 13:20Speaker 3: to me. The Tulane James Madisen, the two automatic qualifiers
- 13:23Speaker 3: are huge three four touch two and a half three
- 13:26Speaker 3: touchdown dogs the oath. Their head coaches have already taken
- 13:29Speaker 3: other jobs elsewhere, but they're going to stay and coach.
- 13:32Speaker 3: And the JMU coach is going to UCLA. He can
- 13:35Speaker 3: just stay out on the West coast. After they lose
- 13:36Speaker 3: at Oregon. The Florida coach is coming into JMU, but
- 13:39Speaker 3: he won't coach this game. To Lane coach is leaving
- 13:42Speaker 3: for Florida. It's like the six Degrees of Kevin Bacon
- 13:45Speaker 3: with the college football playoffs. And the one thing I
- 13:47Speaker 3: will point out is George is sitting pretty right now.
- 13:49Speaker 3: They're getting the winner of the old miss Tu Lane game,
- 13:52Speaker 3: the two lane duck programs right now, but they will
- 13:54Speaker 3: have to play Ohio State and the Semis probably be eliminated.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Then.
- 13:58Speaker 3: As far as the NFL do, I want to point
- 13:59Speaker 3: out how fame the Public continues to work. I mentioned
- 14:01Speaker 3: this in my video every week. It's been over sixty
- 14:03Speaker 3: percent consistently all season. And the four official public plays
- 14:07Speaker 3: last night or yesterday afternoon, rather you went four to oh,
- 14:10Speaker 3: fad in them. I got my list right here. Brown's
- 14:12Speaker 3: lost out right, Buccaneers lost out right, Ronco's failed to
- 14:16Speaker 3: cover by half a point, and the Bears failed to
- 14:19Speaker 3: cover by half a point. You know, last week fad
- 14:22Speaker 3: in the Public went three to one and all four
- 14:24Speaker 3: teams won straight up, but only one of the four covered.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Yesterday two of them missed by half a point. This
- 14:28Speaker 3: is why fade the Public works long term, because you
- 14:30Speaker 3: get extra line value, especially later in the season in December,
- 14:35Speaker 3: the official public plays if you fade them this year
- 14:37Speaker 3: my video now thirty nine and twenty three, it's really
- 14:40Speaker 3: worked well and I think it'll continue to work here
- 14:42Speaker 3: guys in the month of December.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Joe, let's talk about Theffalo Bills. Let's talk about Houston.
- 14:51Speaker 1: I'll start with those two teams. How good are the
- 14:55Speaker 1: Bills moving forward? And this is a team that could
- 14:58Speaker 1: have lost easily to Cincinnati. They really didn't have it
- 15:01Speaker 1: together and the game turned on two interceptions. What did
- 15:06Speaker 1: you learn about the low Bills yesterday?
- 15:09Speaker 2: Bet him at home? Josh Allen is very dangerous at
- 15:12Speaker 2: home in Orchard Park, and we saw it again yesterday.
- 15:17Speaker 2: That's what makes this team very difficult to bet against
- 15:20Speaker 2: this time of year, and moving forward, it's what makes
- 15:23Speaker 2: them dangerous in the postseason, although they haven't exactly been
- 15:27Speaker 2: great on the road, even though Kansas City kind of
- 15:32Speaker 2: blew any chance they got of getting back to the
- 15:34Speaker 2: playoffs last night. And you know, Buffalo is still going
- 15:37Speaker 2: to have a long road ahead of them. But Josh
- 15:39Speaker 2: Allen showed you why he was the MVP last year
- 15:43Speaker 2: and why it is you just can't count the guy out.
- 15:45Speaker 2: It would be great if he could play a first
- 15:47Speaker 2: half would love him if he played the first half
- 15:49Speaker 2: Marrow because Josh Allen apparently the Bills they only want
- 15:52Speaker 2: to play in the second They literally need to be
- 15:54Speaker 2: punched into face first, and then they come out in
- 15:56Speaker 2: the second half like all right, we're just screwing around,
- 16:00Speaker 2: ready to go. And as far as Houston goes, who
- 16:02Speaker 2: are you beating with that offense? Exactly? Like, who are
- 16:06Speaker 2: you beating? That was a tie game going into the
- 16:10Speaker 2: fourth quarter ten ten, when everybody watching that game last
- 16:14Speaker 2: night should have been like, this should be like twenty
- 16:16Speaker 2: four to nothing right now, and it was ten to ten.
- 16:20Speaker 2: And if Andy Reid did and all of a sudden,
- 16:23Speaker 2: channel is entered Dan Campbell and let's go for it
- 16:26Speaker 2: on fourth down and four from her own thirty yard line.
- 16:29Speaker 2: I don't know why you're making a short field for
- 16:32Speaker 2: an offense that can't get out of its own way,
- 16:34Speaker 2: but they ended up coming back and biting them. But
- 16:37Speaker 2: I just congrats on the five game winning streak. Good defense.
- 16:42Speaker 2: I wouldn't exactly say it's the what the Ravens defense
- 16:46Speaker 2: of to like, at some point they're gonna have to score.
- 16:48Speaker 3: Meryl.
- 16:49Speaker 2: I'm not buying Houston.
- 16:50Speaker 3: I really am not well, I was gonna say, guys.
- 16:53Speaker 3: I mean, if you're Buffalo, and I know a lot
- 16:55Speaker 3: of Buffalo bill fans, you got to be pretty excited
- 16:58Speaker 3: about Kansas City, even though Kansas City good this year
- 17:00Speaker 3: yet out of the picture. Who do you worry about now?
- 17:03Speaker 3: The Denver Broncos who win every game by three or less.
- 17:05Speaker 3: All defense, no offense. The Houston Texans, all defense, no offense, corre.
- 17:10Speaker 3: I mean, I think Buffalo's offense is better than those defenses.
- 17:13Speaker 3: Even though Buffalo has some severe defensive problems, I'm not
- 17:16Speaker 3: sure those teams can exploit it. And you're worried about Jacksonville,
- 17:19Speaker 3: who's now a sixty eight percent favorite to win their division. Ye,
- 17:22Speaker 3: I mean, and the Colts they're out of the picture
- 17:24Speaker 3: now with the quarterback injuries. I think they got them
- 17:27Speaker 3: pretty good for a Buffalo team. Agree, yes, And keep
- 17:30Speaker 3: in mind, guys, Buffalo had a one percent chance of
- 17:32Speaker 3: winning that opener with four and a half minutes ago
- 17:33Speaker 3: against Baltimore, and the Ravens played their way out of
- 17:36Speaker 3: the playoffs yesterday. They've got about a twenty eight percent
- 17:38Speaker 3: chance they controlled their own destiny. But I think they
- 17:41Speaker 3: play what is it Detroit, New England. They play tough
- 17:43Speaker 3: all too. They do get Pittsburgh at the end. But
- 17:46Speaker 3: I got I know a lot of Raven fans obviously
- 17:48Speaker 3: as well, and they were pretty depressed yesterday by the
- 17:50Speaker 3: way that game turned out, and they should be.
- 17:52Speaker 1: I mean, Steve, you did not mention the Patriots, which
- 17:56Speaker 1: I think are gonna be Buffalo's real key challenger moving forward.
- 18:01Speaker 1: But Alow is minus won against New England this week,
- 18:05Speaker 1: a total of forty nine. I want to talk about
- 18:07Speaker 1: the Kansas City Chiefs here, guys, and green Bay and
- 18:10Speaker 1: Denver really quick, because green Bay is favored in Denver
- 18:15Speaker 1: and Kansas City is minus four and a half on
- 18:19Speaker 1: the look ahead, I mean not technically a look ahead,
- 18:21Speaker 1: but the Chargers haven't played yet. Steve, I'll go to
- 18:24Speaker 1: you first. Why the hell is Kansas City favored here?
- 18:28Speaker 1: What am I missing?
- 18:32Speaker 3: Yeah? No, I totally agree with you. So this is
- 18:34Speaker 3: saying that the Chiefs are even the Chiefs are worse
- 18:37Speaker 3: than we thought they were last week. I think after
- 18:39Speaker 3: last night we'd agree they have like a sixteen percent
- 18:41Speaker 3: chance of making the postseason now. Yet the line is
- 18:44Speaker 3: going to be higher against the Chargers than it was
- 18:46Speaker 3: against the Texans. The Texas do are the best defense
- 18:49Speaker 3: in the NFL. But I just mentioned that Chargers give
- 18:51Speaker 3: up on twenty one points a game. It's over five
- 18:53Speaker 3: yards of play. They probably have the better offense. Yes,
- 18:56Speaker 3: there's some uncertainty with Herbert. I guess maybe a points
- 18:58Speaker 3: factor and if he breaks his hand worse tonight, I
- 19:00Speaker 3: don't know. But yeah, no, like Kansas City was in
- 19:03Speaker 3: a really good spot last night, as you know, Prez,
- 19:06Speaker 3: and they still lost out right. Yeah, I would say
- 19:08Speaker 3: they're on the do not touch list right now. Joe.
- 19:12Speaker 2: I think, well, first of all, Chargers win tonight, you're
- 19:15Speaker 2: gonna wake up tomorrow and that line is going to
- 19:16Speaker 2: be totally different. And also I think they are counting
- 19:20Speaker 2: on getting two of the three offensive linemen back next week,
- 19:24Speaker 2: so I think that's probably factoring into it. But that
- 19:27Speaker 2: whole line is I mean, I'm seeing nothing but tickets
- 19:30Speaker 2: and money on the Chargers, and it hasn't moved all
- 19:32Speaker 2: four and a half, which is what it was overnight.
- 19:34Speaker 2: So I think once the Chargers, if they win this
- 19:37Speaker 2: game here tonight, I think we'll wake up. This thing
- 19:40Speaker 2: will be much closer to a field goal than anything else.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Tomorrow, guys, you're watching the best betting show ever. I'm
- 19:46Speaker 1: Lawrence Presban Jordeniary with us Steve Merrill sitting in Brian
- 19:51Speaker 1: Power's seat. Hit that like button, subscribe to channel and
- 19:55Speaker 1: make sure to comment.
- 19:57Speaker 3: Steve.
- 19:57Speaker 1: We're gonna get into our parlay of the today. I
- 20:00Speaker 1: will go first. My leg is on under six and
- 20:05Speaker 1: a half goals in the Tampa Bay Toronto Maple Leaf game. Yes,
- 20:11Speaker 1: I know there's a backup to a backup in that,
- 20:14Speaker 1: but Toronto, I don't care. We're taking under six and
- 20:19Speaker 1: a half in the Leaf game. Steve, you do not
- 20:21Speaker 1: need to explain your bet, just tell us what it is.
- 20:25Speaker 3: So I'm still finalizing my NBA card. It looks like
- 20:27Speaker 3: I might have a couple best bets tonight, but I'm
- 20:29Speaker 3: gonna give you a little sneaky parlay here. We talked
- 20:31Speaker 3: about it earlier and it was a two team teaser
- 20:33Speaker 3: because technically a two team teaser is a parlay. And
- 20:36Speaker 3: I do think the Chargers tonight make an excellent teaser
- 20:38Speaker 3: at plus eight eight and a half. And of course
- 20:39Speaker 3: you've got to tie that up with something this weekend
- 20:42Speaker 3: now from football, and I referenced it earlier Chicago Bears
- 20:45Speaker 3: minus seven and a half at home against Cleveland. Get
- 20:47Speaker 3: them down to minus one and a half. Basic straight
- 20:49Speaker 3: up win situation, which one of the best points spread
- 20:52Speaker 3: teams in the league coming off a loss. I like
- 20:54Speaker 3: a Chargers Bears six point teaser slash parlay tonight and
- 20:58Speaker 3: next Sunday.
- 21:00Speaker 1: So Joe, Joe, Joe, Joe. I will forgive Steve for
- 21:04Speaker 1: not understanding the segment. So guys, you're getting two picks.
- 21:10Speaker 2: In the Yes.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Steve's personal teaser of the day. Separate and you're getting
- 21:20Speaker 1: the parlay of the day, which we're going to start again. Steve,
- 21:23Speaker 1: we need one leg one leg in a parlay, and
- 21:28Speaker 1: I know you go, Joe goes and then we have
- 21:31Speaker 1: a three team.
- 21:33Speaker 3: I didn't so President gave one picks. You know. My
- 21:37Speaker 3: part of the contract is, like you know, like they
- 21:39Speaker 3: do in the jury room, they automatically mute res in
- 21:41Speaker 3: the in the audio. So I thought he gave two picks.
- 21:44Speaker 3: So that's my bad. Come to the.
- 21:49Speaker 1: Best cutting show ever. You're getting a bonus teaser today.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Everybody that was that was.
- 21:54Speaker 3: I always give more than the people deserve, and I
- 21:56Speaker 3: did it there and I once again he was muted.
- 21:58Speaker 3: This whole time. But I'm able to eat lips. Yes,
- 22:01Speaker 3: So he said I need to give one leg. I'm
- 22:04Speaker 3: gonna give.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Let me start this whole thing. Well done, Here we go,
- 22:09Speaker 2: pres parlay the Houston because I don't Reven remember what
- 22:11Speaker 2: the hell you chose, Prez. So you started, and then
- 22:13Speaker 2: we'll go to Meryl.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Go ahead, ladies and gentlemen, our parlay of the day.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Just to let you although we won our NML Parlay
- 22:21Speaker 1: of the Day yesterday. I'm going with leg one the
- 22:26Speaker 1: under in the Toronto Tampa Bay game, Steve Merrill, let's
- 22:30Speaker 1: try that again.
- 22:33Speaker 3: Pres best of luck with your MLS pick. I love soccer.
- 22:36Speaker 3: I'm gonna go with the under twenty one and a
- 22:38Speaker 3: half team total with the Eagles tonight. They've scored twenty
- 22:41Speaker 3: one or less than six of their last eight games.
- 22:43Speaker 3: I think it happens again tonight.
- 22:45Speaker 2: I like it. Boom, give me University of Pennsylvania to
- 22:52Speaker 2: get it done against La Fayette here six o'clock Eastern
- 22:56Speaker 2: time tonight. You can even lay to six and a half.
- 22:59Speaker 3: I think you'll be good to go.
- 23:01Speaker 1: There you go, everybody, a three team multi sport parlay. Steve,
- 23:06Speaker 1: you want to hang out with a bad beat segment.
- 23:08Speaker 1: If not, you can leave. It's your choice.
- 23:10Speaker 3: I'll hang out. Hey, I'm doing wager talk today in
- 23:12Speaker 3: like a couple of minutes. I got nothing else to do.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Bo okay, So bad beats bad bets. Look, I spoke
- 23:20Speaker 1: about the fact that I was on the under in
- 23:22Speaker 1: the Denver game, and I mean, I was just so horrible.
- 23:26Speaker 1: I don't understand how I lost that under, but I
- 23:29Speaker 1: watched it go down. It was painful, but it's over
- 23:33Speaker 1: and done with. I don't think I'll and Joe correct
- 23:37Speaker 1: me I'm wrong here. I think it might be one
- 23:41Speaker 1: of a historical bad beat. That's what I think. I think. Look,
- 23:45Speaker 1: I didn't have much money on it, so it wasn't
- 23:47Speaker 1: like a bad beat that cost me a lot. But
- 23:51Speaker 1: as far as everything that could possibly go wrong in
- 23:54Speaker 1: a final three minutes of a football game, between the
- 23:57Speaker 1: fact that you know, had Vegas have scored the touchdown
- 24:00Speaker 1: one play later, Denver could take the knee, Denver then
- 24:05Speaker 1: get sacked, they miss on the fourth down, the idiots
- 24:13Speaker 1: or Tan lying on top of the other guy grinding
- 24:16Speaker 1: him because he was horny. I don't know. Pete Carroll
- 24:20Speaker 1: needing extra money. I mean I would say that was
- 24:24Speaker 1: one of the most historical bad beats I've ever seen
- 24:26Speaker 1: in my life. And that's all I'm gonna talk about
- 24:29Speaker 1: other than that. I needed Tampa Bay on the money
- 24:32Speaker 1: line made up two pass interference calls cost me. But
- 24:36Speaker 1: what that said Tampa did not deserve to win that
- 24:38Speaker 1: game anyway, Joe.
- 24:41Speaker 3: That really was epic.
- 24:44Speaker 2: Well, there were a couple of very close calls here.
- 24:47Speaker 2: I mean, I, for one, Meryll m ecstatic that Duke
- 24:51Speaker 2: ended up pulling that game out against Virginia to throw
- 24:55Speaker 2: the committee into total chaos, which is exactly what needed
- 25:00Speaker 2: happened there. But that could have gone either way that game.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Duke was doing a really good job right up until
- 25:05Speaker 2: Virginia tied it late and then Virginia depending on where
- 25:09Speaker 2: you got them two and a half three, you know,
- 25:12Speaker 2: going to overtime, they had a chance to pull that out.
- 25:15Speaker 2: But interception on that first play in overtime was the
- 25:19Speaker 2: end of was the end of that. And for the
- 25:21Speaker 2: love of God, well Tennessee and New Orleans and will
- 25:27Speaker 2: you guys stop winning games like there is a number
- 25:30Speaker 2: one draft pick coming up in real soon here, guys,
- 25:35Speaker 2: that could really change the franchises. And you guys continuing
- 25:38Speaker 2: to win games as if it matters, like, please stop
- 25:42Speaker 2: winning games if you're New Orleans, if you're Tennessee. And
- 25:46Speaker 2: the Jets finally figured that out yesterday. By the way, Meryl,
- 25:49Speaker 2: they finally figured out that. Yeah, let Miami keep winning games.
- 25:53Speaker 2: We're good to go here. Yeah, I get that.
- 25:56Speaker 3: Actually, this is one of the best good beats ever
- 26:00Speaker 3: in a draft pick history. Was two years ago. We
- 26:03Speaker 3: saw a playout last night. The Houston Texans had the
- 26:05Speaker 3: number one pick a couple of seasons ago. They decided
- 26:07Speaker 3: to win their final meaningless game followed the number two spots,
- 26:11Speaker 3: get the Carolina Panthers the number one pick to take
- 26:13Speaker 3: Bryce Young, Young talented Bryce Young out of Alabama and
- 26:17Speaker 3: who the Texans fall at number two and get CJ. Stroud.
- 26:20Speaker 3: As he said numerous times in the pregame and postgame
- 26:23Speaker 3: interview last night, we just want to get a dub.
- 26:25Speaker 3: I just want to get a dub. Thank god we
- 26:27Speaker 3: got a dub. But Betty, it is something important to
- 26:32Speaker 3: point out. Teams don't quit, right, And we saw the
- 26:34Speaker 3: Saints win yesterday. Like Joe said, teams don't quit in
- 26:37Speaker 3: December and playing ugly underdogs in December is a really
- 26:40Speaker 3: good strategy long term.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Yep, Yes, agreed, Steve. That was excellent, man. I really
- 26:46Speaker 1: thank you for doing this with us today, brother, And
- 26:49Speaker 1: if Brian Power decides to miss more shows, I'm happy
- 26:53Speaker 1: to call you and have you fill in.
- 26:58Speaker 3: It's always fun to sit in Brian Powers. It's a
- 27:00Speaker 3: little na pointy. I'm not sure what's going on in
- 27:02Speaker 3: this seat. Yes, so it's probably a good thing I'm
- 27:05Speaker 3: leaving sooner than later, but hey, otherwise, very enjoyable.
- 27:08Speaker 1: What do you got to promote, Steve?
- 27:11Speaker 3: So, I will be on wager Talk today around twelve
- 27:13Speaker 3: thirty Eastern with Andy Lang, the Great Andy Lang, and

- 28:12Speaker 1: There we go, Steve meryland.
- 28:13Speaker 3: It is amazing, twenty one of the twenty three games free.
- 28:17Speaker 3: What am I doing? What am I doing? I've calmed
- 28:20Speaker 3: down though after I realized what I did. That was
- 28:22Speaker 3: my reaction. But seriously, though, you know these TV leans
- 28:27Speaker 3: that we're talking about one percent of bank world right.
- 28:28Speaker 3: If you want my strong best bets four percent of
- 28:30Speaker 3: bank world, then go to wager talk dot com. But otherwise, uh,
- 28:33Speaker 3: lots of great information here on wager Talk TV.
- 28:36Speaker 1: Oh that's for sure.
- 28:37Speaker 3: Thank you, Steve Merril, appreciate it.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Got lots of shows still left. We got our NBA
- 28:43Speaker 1: rundown coming up. NHL Rundown, College Basketball Rundown, no mailbox
- 28:48Speaker 1: segment on Monday Job. Before we get into any of that.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Oh no, you're not. Are you doing the business? Is
- 28:54Speaker 2: this the business?
- 28:55Speaker 1: This is the whole business stage?
- 28:59Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 28:59Speaker 2: That was all.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Oh that's quite the output, though, dude, it really is.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Where's the that's so sick that outfit?
- 29:06Speaker 2: Man? I looked so good, guys.
- 29:09Speaker 1: I had a monster day yesterday bet in the NFL.
- 29:12Speaker 1: I went five and two, but one of my losses
- 29:15Speaker 1: was the under in the Denver game, which was handicapped perfectly.
- 29:19Speaker 1: I've won my last four NFL betting cards. I'm on
- 29:23Speaker 1: an eleven four run in the NFL, and I have
- 29:27Speaker 1: two bets for you guys tonight in the NFL. I
- 29:31Speaker 1: also have two NHL bets and one college basketball bet,
- 29:36Speaker 1: so check me out over at wagerdork dot com. I
- 29:39Speaker 1: feel like I'm going to have a big night, five
- 29:40Speaker 1: plays altogether. Happy with a four and one. Let's all
- 29:44Speaker 1: win together, Joe, what do you got going.
- 29:46Speaker 2: A Monday night football bet? Locked and loaded? And I
- 29:51Speaker 2: do have one in college basketball as well, and I
- 29:55Speaker 2: am about to fire what looks to be a five
- 29:58Speaker 2: percent best bet in the NFL for Sunday, So working
- 30:03Speaker 2: that out right now as we speak here prece there
- 30:06Speaker 2: you go.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Okay, we got the three rundowns to go two minutes each.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Put the clock on your first. Let's get to.
- 30:15Speaker 2: It all right, Pray, we're gonna start with the NBA
- 30:17Speaker 2: rundown just three games on tap here as we get
- 30:20Speaker 2: ready for the NBA Cup. Let's uh the knockout round
- 30:25Speaker 2: tomorrow with two games. But the first game up here tonight,
- 30:28Speaker 2: it's going to feature the Sacramento Kings on a road
- 30:31Speaker 2: taking on the Indiana Pacers. And while Sacramento not getting
- 30:36Speaker 2: a whole lot of love in the market here, they're
- 30:38Speaker 2: getting three three and a half points and I believe
- 30:41Speaker 2: they have only one back actually one time. I think
- 30:46Speaker 2: the Kings have won back to back games this season.
- 30:49Speaker 2: They just came out of Miami shooting fifty three percent
- 30:53Speaker 2: in that one twenty seven to one to eleven game
- 30:56Speaker 2: on Saturday night. Zach Lavine dropping forty two versus this
- 31:00Speaker 2: is the heat. Yeah, Well, the good news is he's
- 31:03Speaker 2: probably not gonna be a Sacramento game for very much
- 31:05Speaker 2: longer anyway, as the trade deadline will approach and he'll
- 31:08Speaker 2: be wearing a different uniform. But Indiana at home has
- 31:12Speaker 2: been very, very competitive. Pascal Siakam is available from what
- 31:16Speaker 2: I understand here in this game, and yeah, I think
- 31:20Speaker 2: they are a shall we say a favorite for a
- 31:23Speaker 2: reason in this game. I still like Indiana to get
- 31:26Speaker 2: it done against Sacramento. Then you have Minnesota looking to
- 31:30Speaker 2: avenge an earlier loss to the Phoenix Suns. Phoenix, No,
- 31:34Speaker 2: Devin Booker hasn't been going as well. They've kind of
- 31:38Speaker 2: come back down to reality here a little bit. Minnesota
- 31:41Speaker 2: was nine to nine and a half. There now a
- 31:44Speaker 2: double digit favorite. I like Minnesota in the first half.
- 31:48Speaker 2: They like to play with their food in the second half,
- 31:50Speaker 2: especially the fourth quarter. I think Minnesota comes out and
- 31:54Speaker 2: boat races them early and then New Orleans getting nine
- 31:57Speaker 2: and a half against San Antonio. This is now the
- 32:00Speaker 2: six or seventh game now on the road for San Antonio.
- 32:05Speaker 2: I don't love them in the spot lane this kind
- 32:07Speaker 2: of number. And yes, I know no Zion, but who cares?
- 32:11Speaker 2: They have been competitive they are at home. Wouldn't shock
- 32:15Speaker 2: me if that game's a little bit closer than people
- 32:17Speaker 2: think here Tonight, Press.
- 32:19Speaker 1: Joe NHL brother Toronto's playing at Tampa Bay. I told
- 32:24Speaker 1: you at the beginning of the show in the parlay
- 32:26Speaker 1: of the Day segment, I really like the under in
- 32:28Speaker 1: this game. This is a client player. You can get
- 32:30Speaker 1: six and a half out there. I understand Toronto is
- 32:33Speaker 1: playing a backup goaltender, actually a backup to a backup.
- 32:36Speaker 1: That doesn't matter. I've been riding the Toronto under for
- 32:39Speaker 1: two straight weeks now. This team has turned it around.
- 32:43Speaker 1: I do lean on Toronto in this game. I just
- 32:46Speaker 1: don't love it because Tampa Bay's lost three in a row. Also,
- 32:51Speaker 1: we'll be looking towards the Tampa Bay Montreal game tomorrow.
- 32:55Speaker 1: I think if Tampa Bay loses this game, they might
- 32:58Speaker 1: be a really good bet tomorrow. Buffalo and Calgary, I'm
- 33:02Speaker 1: looking for under in this game as well. There's a
- 33:04Speaker 1: couple of six and a halfs on tap. They're also
- 33:07Speaker 1: five and a half. Do not bet under five and
- 33:09Speaker 1: a half here, but take under the six and a half.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Take under six if you'd like Los Angeles playing Utah
- 33:17Speaker 1: a great spot for the Kings tonight. They're roughly pick
- 33:22Speaker 1: them plus one oh five. Utah is in a real bad,
- 33:26Speaker 1: bad spot scheduling wise. I think Los Angeles gets it done.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Detroit going into Vancouver here, and I'm gonna look at
- 33:35Speaker 1: betting the under in this game. It's six and a
- 33:38Speaker 1: half on tap. This Vancouver team, they're just struggling, and
- 33:46Speaker 1: Detroit will play down to their opponents. I could see
- 33:48Speaker 1: this being a three two three one hockey game, and
- 33:51Speaker 1: anytime Minnesota is involved, look to take the under. They're
- 33:55Speaker 1: playing Seattle. I know it's five and a half and
- 33:57Speaker 1: I normally don't bet five and a half, but man,
- 34:00Speaker 1: this Minnesota team from an under perspective, is free money,
- 34:05Speaker 1: So let's not overthink it. Just take the under. Joe,
- 34:08Speaker 1: what do you got going in college basketball?
- 34:11Speaker 2: Well, pres it is another light night there in college
- 34:16Speaker 2: hoops as well, and one of those games I talked
- 34:19Speaker 2: about for my part of the parlay of the day,
- 34:24Speaker 2: and that is going to be a UPenn at home
- 34:27Speaker 2: taking on the Lafayette Leopards here. And call me crazy here, Prez,
- 34:31Speaker 2: but it feels like this line is continuing to rise.
- 34:34Speaker 2: It was five five and a half, six now six
- 34:38Speaker 2: and a half. Wouldn't shock me if this continues to
- 34:40Speaker 2: rise here. And while Fran McCaffrey and his UPenn team
- 34:46Speaker 2: they were a little outmatched by Hofstra and Villanova the
- 34:49Speaker 2: last couple of games. But I don't see how they're
- 34:52Speaker 2: going to be outmatched here. They have a legit three
- 34:55Speaker 2: point shooter here in Ethan Roberts. I think he's hitting
- 34:58Speaker 2: forty one percent on this season. He's actually the thirteenth
- 35:02Speaker 2: ranked three point shooter nationally. Here. It feels like Penn's
- 35:06Speaker 2: gonna get right in a hurry. Can't trust Lafayette in
- 35:11Speaker 2: this spot, and I have no reason to believe that
- 35:13Speaker 2: they're going to do anything here except getting away of UPenn.
- 35:16Speaker 2: I like them to run away with this game, especially
- 35:19Speaker 2: at home in the second half. I would be a
- 35:22Speaker 2: little bit weary here about laying these monster numbers with
- 35:27Speaker 2: teams like Texas and Kansas State right now here. Both
- 35:32Speaker 2: these teams dealing with some issues and focus may not
- 35:37Speaker 2: be the best thing. You know, We're getting to be
- 35:38Speaker 2: that time of year in college oops pres where classes
- 35:42Speaker 2: are about to be let out, you know, exams being taken.
- 35:46Speaker 2: Not exactly focus driven or great crowds in college basketball
- 35:51Speaker 2: this time of year, and I doubt very much the
- 35:53Speaker 2: Southern Jags are going to bring a whole lot to
- 35:56Speaker 2: the arena here at the Moody Center, with the tech
- 36:00Speaker 2: Longhorns tonight. I would be careful laying twenty two to
- 36:04Speaker 2: twenty three, and I certain wouldn't be laying nearly forty
- 36:07Speaker 2: points with Kansas State here tonight. So tread carefully in
- 36:11Speaker 2: the month of December when it comes to college basketball press.
- 36:16Speaker 2: There we go.
- 36:17Speaker 1: Joe, great show man. Lots of show left this week.
- 36:22Speaker 1: We got a Art Caeson coming for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
- 36:26Speaker 1: and Friday. This show goes live every single day around
- 36:29Speaker 1: twelve thirty Eastern time on wagtok dot TV. Please comment,
- 36:34Speaker 1: please like, please subscribe. Really excited about my cart tonight.
- 36:38Speaker 1: I know you are too, Joe. Let's all wait together, everybody,
- 36:42Speaker 1: and we'll see you all tomorrow.
