- 0:02Welcome to Bible Chat, where we have devotional conversations
- 0:06rooted in Scripture and relevant for today, December 30th, Shaped
- 0:11for glory. Have you ever felt pressure to
- 0:14become a version of yourself that isn't even you?
- 0:16Like you're constantly being shaped by trends, opinions,
- 0:19comparison, and expectations. But God is shaping you too, and
- 0:23His shaping is freedom, not fake.
- 0:25Psalm 149 verse one says praise the Lord.
- 0:29Sing to the Lord a new song. His praise in the assembly of
- 0:32the godly worship is part of your transformation.
- 0:36When you praise God, you're reminding your heart who He is
- 0:39and who you are in Him. First John chapter 3, verses 2
- 0:42to 3 says, Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will
- 0:46be has not yet appeared. But we know that when He
- 0:48appears, we shall be like Him, and everyone who thus hopes in
- 0:52Him purifies himself as He is pure.
- 0:55That is such a deep promise. You are already God's child, and
- 0:58God is making you more like Jesus.
- 1:00Not by pretending, not by performing.
- 1:03By hope. That purifies hope.
- 1:05That changes what you want, what you love, and what you choose.
- 1:08In Romans chapter 12, verse 2 tells you how that happens.
- 1:12Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the
- 1:15renewal of your mind. Conformed means pressed into a
- 1:19mold. Transformed means changed from
- 1:21the inside out. God renews your mind through His
- 1:24Word, through prayer, through worship, and through daily
- 1:27surrender. That's how you start discerning
- 1:29what God's will is, what is good, acceptable, and perfect,
- 1:33so you're not stuck being who the world labels you as.
- 1:36You're being shaped for glory. You're becoming more like Jesus.
- 1:40One thought at a time, one choice at a time. 1 surrendered
- 1:43moment at a time. Let's pray.
- 1:45Heavenly Father, thank You that I am your child right now and
- 1:49that You are shaping me to be like Jesus.
- 1:51Help me resist being conformed to the world's mold, renew my
- 1:55mind with Your truth, and transform my heart with Your
- 1:57Spirit. Let my worship be real, my life,
- 2:00my choices, my words, so I reflect Your glory.
- 2:03Keep purifying me through hope and lead me in what is good and
- 2:06pleasing to You in Jesus name, Amen.

- 3:21Psalm 149 World English Bible Praise Yahweh.
- 3:25Sing to Yahweh a new song, His praise in the assembly of the
- 3:28Saints. Let Israel rejoice in Him who
- 3:31made them. Let the children of Zion be
- 3:33joyful in their king. Let them praise His name in the
- 3:36dance. Let them sing praises to Him
- 3:38with tambourine and harp. For Yahweh takes pleasure in His
- 3:41people. He crowns the humble with
- 3:43salvation. Let the Saints rejoice in honor.
- 3:46Let them sing for joy on their beds.
- 3:49May the high praises of God be in their mouths, and A2 edged
- 3:52sword in their hand. To execute vengeance on the
- 3:55nations, and punishments on the peoples, To bind their kings
- 3:58with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron.
- 4:02To execute on them the written judgment.
- 4:04All his Saints have this honor. Praise Yah first.
- 4:07John 3. Two to three world English
- 4:09Bible. Beloved, now we are children of
- 4:11God. It is not yet revealed what we
- 4:13will be, but we know that when He is revealed we will be like
- 4:17Him, for we will see Him just as He is.
- 4:20Everyone who has this hope set on him purifies himself even as
- 4:24He is pure. First Corinthians 15 World
- 4:27English Bible Now I declare to you, brothers, the good news
- 4:31which I preach to you, which also you received, in which you
- 4:34also stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold firmly
- 4:37the Word which I preach to you, unless you believed in vain.
- 4:41For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received,
- 4:45that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
- 4:48that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day
- 4:51according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas, then
- 4:54to the 12. Then He appeared to over 500
- 4:57brothers at once, most of whom remain until now, but some have
- 5:01also fallen asleep. Then He appeared to James, then
- 5:05to all the apostles, and last of all, as to the child born at the
- 5:08wrong time, He appeared to me also.
- 5:11For I am the least of the apostles who is not worthy to be
- 5:14called an apostle, because I persecuted the Assembly of God.
- 5:18But by the grace of God I am what I am.
- 5:21His grace which was given to me was not futile, but I worked
- 5:24more than all of them, Yet not I, but the grace of God which
- 5:27was with me. Whether then it is I or they.
- 5:30So we preach, and so you believed.
- 5:32Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the
- 5:35dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of
- 5:38the dead? But if there is no resurrection
- 5:41of the dead, neither has Christ been raised.
- 5:43If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain,
- 5:47and your faith also is in vain. Yes, we are also found false
- 5:51witnesses of God, because we testified about God that He
- 5:54raised up Christ, whom He didn't raise up.
- 5:56If it is true that the dead are not raised.
- 5:59For if the dead aren't raised, neither has Christ been raised.
- 6:02If Christ has not been raised, your faith is vain, you are
- 6:06still in your sins. Then they also who are fallen
- 6:08asleep in Christ have perished. If we have only hoped in Christ
- 6:12in this life we are of all men most pitiable.
- 6:15But now Christ has been raised from the dead.
- 6:17He became the first fruit of those who are asleep.
- 6:20For since death came by man, the resurrection of the dead also
- 6:23came by man. For as in Adam all die, so also
- 6:27in Christ all will be made alive, but each in his own
- 6:30order. Christ the first fruits, then
- 6:32those who are Christ's at his coming.
- 6:34Then the end comes, when he will deliver up the Kingdom to God
- 6:37the Father, when he will have abolished all rule, and all
- 6:40authority and power. For he must reign until he has
- 6:43put all his enemies under his feet.
- 6:46The last enemy that will be abolished is death, for he put
- 6:49all things in subjection under his feet.
- 6:52But when he says all things are put in subjection, it is evident
- 6:56that He is accepted. Who subjected all things to Him?
- 6:59When all things have been subjected to him, then the Son
- 7:02will also himself be subjected to him.
- 7:04Who subjected all things to him, that God may be All in all.
- 7:08Or else what will they do who are baptized for the dead?
- 7:11If the dead aren't raised at all, why then are they baptized
- 7:14for the dead? Why do we also stand in jeopardy
- 7:16every hour? I affirm by the boasting in you
- 7:20which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
- 7:23If I fought with animals at Ephesus for human purposes, what
- 7:26does it profit me? If the dead are not raised, then
- 7:29let's eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.
- 7:32Don't be deceived. Evil companionships corrupt good
- 7:35morals. Wake up righteously and don't
- 7:37sin, for some have no knowledge of God.
- 7:39I say this to your shame, but someone will say, how are the
- 7:43dead raised, and with what kind of body do they come, You
- 7:46foolish one? That which yourself sow is not
- 7:48made alive unless it dies. That which you sow you don't sow
- 7:52the body that will be but a bare grain, maybe of wheat or of some
- 7:55other kind. But God gives it a body even as
- 7:58it pleased Him, and to each seat a body of its own.
- 8:01All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one flesh of men,
- 8:05another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of
- 8:08birds. There are also celestial bodies
- 8:11and terrestrial bodies, but the glory of the celestial differs
- 8:14from that of the terrestrial. There is one glory of the sun,
- 8:18another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars.
- 8:22For one star differs from another star in glory.
- 8:25So also is the resurrection of the dead.
- 8:27The body is sown perishable. It is raised imperishable.
- 8:31It is sown in dishonor. It is raised in glory.
- 8:34It is sown in weakness. It is raised in power.
- 8:37It is sown a natural body. It is raised a spiritual body.
- 8:41There is a natural body and there is also a spiritual body.
- 8:44So also it is written. The first man, Adam, became a
- 8:47living soul. The last Adam became a life
- 8:50giving spirit. However, that which is spiritual
- 8:53isn't first, but that which is natural.
- 8:55Then that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth
- 8:58made of dust. The second man is the Lord from
- 9:01heaven, as is the one made of dust.
- 9:04Such are those who are also made of dust, and as is the heavenly,
- 9:07such are they also that are heavenly.
- 9:10As we have borne the image of those made of dust, let's also
- 9:13bear the image of the heavenly. Now I say this, brothers, that
- 9:16flesh and blood can't inherit God's Kingdom, neither does the
- 9:20perishable inherit imperishable. Behold, I tell you a mystery.
- 9:25We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed in a moment,
- 9:28in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.
- 9:31For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised
- 9:33incorruptible, and we will be changed.
- 9:36For this perishable body must become imperishable, and this
- 9:39mortal must put on immortality. But when this perishable body
- 9:43will have become imperishable, and this mortal will have put on
- 9:46immortality, then what is written will happen.
- 9:49Death is swallowed up in victory.
- 9:51Death, where is your sting? Hades, where's your victory?
- 9:55The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
- 9:58But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord
- 10:01Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers,
- 10:04be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord's work,
- 10:08because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
- 10:11Romans 12/1 to two world English Bible.
- 10:15Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to
- 10:18present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to
- 10:22God, which is your spiritual service.
- 10:24Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the
- 10:28renewing of your mind so that you may prove what is the good,
- 10:31well pleasing, and perfect will of God.
