- 0:49Speaker 6: From bad Rouge, Louisiana. You were born and raised there,
- 0:53Speaker 6: Like what was it like growing up?
- 0:55Speaker 5: It was different? But you know I was in the suburbs, Okay,
- 0:58Speaker 5: I was kind of like bad Ruge suburbs.
- 1:00Speaker 2: They sure do come. But you never heard of any
- 1:06Speaker 2: suburbs and bad Ruge.
- 1:08Speaker 5: But you could.
- 1:10Speaker 7: Like that part I was. I was on the outskirts
- 1:14Speaker 7: of the city.
- 1:15Speaker 2: So that's why you didn't adapt accent that part. Did
- 1:17Speaker 2: you like go to like a Catholic school?
- 1:19Speaker 5: I know Catholic did not regular regular regular high school?
- 1:23Speaker 2: Yeah, play sports or anything like that.
- 1:25Speaker 5: I played volleyball, I did the shot put, javelin, shot
- 1:29Speaker 5: put in.
- 1:30Speaker 7: Yes, yeah, your parents must have been well off.
- 1:35Speaker 5: Then, like I mean, my parents were well off, like
- 1:38Speaker 5: upper middle class.
- 1:39Speaker 7: But you know, because you're doing the shot put, you're
- 1:41Speaker 7: doing just like.
- 1:43Speaker 2: All the rich sports. That's a rich ties sports.
- 1:48Speaker 1: You to your technique with that, you got pay practice
- 1:51Speaker 1: shot facts.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Were you like in the church heavy at all?
- 1:56Speaker 5: Or No?
- 1:59Speaker 7: Thirteen?
- 1:59Speaker 5: I told my mom I wasn't going to church anymore
- 2:01Speaker 5: because I didn't really believe in because I grew up Baptists,
- 2:04Speaker 5: and it's like every time you go in the church
- 2:05Speaker 5: are always talking about.
- 2:06Speaker 7: How horrible the kids are these days, and how horrible
- 2:09Speaker 7: this is, how horrible that is.
- 2:10Speaker 5: I wasn't trying to hear that.
- 2:12Speaker 7: Okay, so what does she say, Okay, you don't have
- 2:14Speaker 7: to go Hell no, that was a fight.
- 2:16Speaker 5: Like I grew up, like I'm in Louisiana, like it's
- 2:19Speaker 5: still part of like the Bible every Sunday like that
- 2:25Speaker 5: has to go exactly, you don't have a choice.
- 2:27Speaker 2: So that was that.
- 2:28Speaker 5: That ended up in a little bit of a little scuffle.
- 2:31Speaker 6: Yeah, so you was going to church till you moved out?
- 2:35Speaker 5: No, because I stood I mentioned that I wasn't going.
- 2:38Speaker 2: So did that affect your relationship with your mom or anything?
- 2:41Speaker 5: I mean it did, but she's like, we're so close now,
- 2:43Speaker 5: you know everybody goes through that with their parents, know
- 2:47Speaker 5: me agors.
- 2:48Speaker 2: I love that. Yes, get me started. I got a
- 2:50Speaker 2: couple in the house.
- 2:51Speaker 5: Man, I'm on the verge of that.
- 2:53Speaker 1: So anyway, were you like a nerve? Did you get
- 2:55Speaker 1: straight a's?
- 2:57Speaker 5: You did? I get? I got straight a's when I
- 2:59Speaker 5: was in.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Great I didn't.
- 3:13Speaker 5: I got and I was taking college courses my senior year.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Sounds very yes, I'm very definitely would have been.
- 3:22Speaker 7: Look I had some people doing it.
- 3:24Speaker 2: So did you go to college? Did you go to college?
- 3:26Speaker 5: I went to l s U and two years and
- 3:30Speaker 5: I dropped out.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Okay, so you didn't finish No, I did not.
- 3:34Speaker 7: I dropped out and got in the music industry.
- 3:36Speaker 6: Oh wow, Okay, so let's get into that. What was
- 3:40Speaker 6: that your dream to do?
- 3:42Speaker 7: What was your dream?
- 3:44Speaker 5: My dream was to be a doctor. Like I always
- 3:47Speaker 5: felt like I was like a healer. I always wanted
- 3:49Speaker 5: to help people. So I actually went went to l
- 3:52Speaker 5: s U for pre med, but I stopped after like
- 3:54Speaker 5: two years and I started taking over Kevin's career. Well
- 3:58Speaker 5: started off.
- 4:00Speaker 6: What made you quit the medical field? Did you like
- 4:02Speaker 6: this is too hard or it's just too much? No?
- 4:05Speaker 5: I mean, you know, your first two years of college
- 4:07Speaker 5: you're taking a bunch of like BS courses.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Anyway, So.
- 4:12Speaker 5: It was easy for me to not want to continue,
- 4:14Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying, because I hadn't gotten to
- 4:16Speaker 5: like the good stuff. And then like I just saw
- 4:19Speaker 5: I'm not going to say, another opportunity. But just like
- 4:22Speaker 5: Kevin and I, we were together prior to all of that,
- 4:25Speaker 5: but he was an fucking amazing writer. I mean he
- 4:28Speaker 5: still is to this day. Like he's very fucking talented,
- 4:31Speaker 5: and I just thought that he should take it serious.
- 4:34Speaker 5: And we had a talk one day and I asked
- 4:36Speaker 5: him and he was like, yeah, let's do it.
- 4:38Speaker 1: So you you you were dating Kevin before you went
- 4:43Speaker 1: to college.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Yes, so you went high school high school sweethearts.
- 4:48Speaker 7: I don't know if you college sweethearts. That was my
- 4:52Speaker 7: sweetheart though. Yeah, I always say that because yeah, I
- 4:56Speaker 7: guess high school.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Sweet, huh would you meet at my brother's football?
- 5:00Speaker 5: It was so crazy. Okay, so my brother and his
- 5:03Speaker 5: sister were like brother. They play brother and sister and
- 5:06Speaker 5: we had no clue. He was picking up his sister
- 5:09Speaker 5: from my brother's football game, and I was going to
- 5:12Speaker 5: see my brother play football.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Man, what happened?
- 5:16Speaker 5: He hemmed me up.
- 5:18Speaker 2: I know he said something to you, though. What did
- 5:20Speaker 2: he say? What was his first word?
- 5:22Speaker 6: Like?
- 5:22Speaker 2: Whatever?
- 5:24Speaker 7: It was something like that.
- 5:26Speaker 5: He was in front of me walking, I'm behind him.
- 5:30Speaker 5: He kept turning around looking at me, but he said
- 5:32Speaker 5: that I was looking at him. Of course I'm looking
- 5:34Speaker 5: at you if you're walking in front of me, right.
- 5:36Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying?
- 5:37Speaker 5: Yeah, And so then he hemmed me up at my car.
- 5:41Speaker 7: We talked for like two three hours.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Damn your first interaction you talked.
- 5:45Speaker 5: First interaction wow, which impressed all kind of stuff?
- 5:52Speaker 7: Were you impressed? Was I impressed?
- 5:55Speaker 2: Yes?
- 5:56Speaker 7: So I was. I was hard.
- 5:57Speaker 5: I was really hard on gods.
- 6:01Speaker 7: Gonna say, what do you mean hard on guys? Like
- 6:03Speaker 7: I had never like.
- 6:04Speaker 5: I also lost my virginity to him, So it was
- 6:06Speaker 5: like I wasn't really like you gotta like come with
- 6:09Speaker 5: it if you're trying to you know what I'm saying.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Are you like a daddy's girl?
- 6:12Speaker 5: Was like I was, okay, Yeah, I think daddy's girls
- 6:15Speaker 5: would just kind of like, yeah, it's kind of like
- 6:18Speaker 5: a puzzle. You gotta exactly, yes, you gotta figure me out.
- 6:21Speaker 2: What does your family think about on your relationship? When
- 6:24Speaker 2: y'all first started.
- 6:24Speaker 5: Doing Oh my gosh, nobody liked it. Everybody was against it.
- 6:29Speaker 5: Nobody was really for it.
- 6:30Speaker 2: But he wasn't all the way Kevin Gates yet though, right.
- 6:32Speaker 5: No, Oka, he was just Kevin.
- 6:34Speaker 6: But you was getting the pieces together when you was
- 6:37Speaker 6: putting his career together. So what was your game plan
- 6:40Speaker 6: as far as you know, managing him and taking on
- 6:42Speaker 6: his career with him?
- 6:44Speaker 5: I mean, I just thought that he was really fucking talented,
- 6:46Speaker 5: and I'm very good at like I call myself kind
- 6:50Speaker 5: of like a visionary, Like I can see people like
- 6:53Speaker 5: and where they're going and what they could be. And
- 6:55Speaker 5: I told him I was like, dude, I actually told
- 6:58Speaker 5: him that he was gonna be a motivational speaker. But
- 7:00Speaker 5: he has like fucking become that in a sense. And
- 7:05Speaker 5: I mean, as far as I get into the music, industry.
- 7:07Speaker 5: I didn't know anything about it. I just figured it
- 7:09Speaker 5: out and made it work, put the pieces together.
- 7:11Speaker 7: You know.
- 7:12Speaker 4: So how did that conversation go. Did you say, listen,
- 7:14Speaker 4: I need to manage you.
- 7:16Speaker 7: No, it was it wasn't even that.
- 7:18Speaker 2: And it wasn't even like.
- 7:19Speaker 5: Me just managing him because I literally played like every
- 7:22Speaker 5: single role that you could possibly play, like in an
- 7:24Speaker 5: artist's career, you know what I'm saying, booking agent, all
- 7:28Speaker 5: the things, you know. And so once we acquired like
- 7:32Speaker 5: all those other like I guess you say, team members
- 7:36Speaker 5: or players, like I was strictly in that manager role.
- 7:39Speaker 6: And that was two thousand and six, two thousand and six.
- 7:42Speaker 6: So fast forward to twenty ten. You guys found a
- 7:47Speaker 6: company bread Winners Association.
- 7:50Speaker 5: Yes, bread Winners Association that was the record label home
- 7:54Speaker 5: to him.
- 7:54Speaker 4: Yeah, I did a partnership deal with the label. So
- 7:58Speaker 4: how was it hard when you were coming in there
- 8:01Speaker 4: as like a partner with him? And was it kind
- 8:04Speaker 4: of hard for people to like respect you, like she
- 8:06Speaker 4: don't know nothing about the music business, like you know, hell.
- 8:09Speaker 5: Yeah, because they just looked at me as the girlfriend. Yeah,
- 8:12Speaker 5: and it's like, no, I'm way more than that. And
- 8:15Speaker 5: so I actually had to like hire, so let me
- 8:18Speaker 5: have this story to tell you. So when I went
- 8:20Speaker 5: to the label, they actually suggested to me that I
- 8:22Speaker 5: should hire a manager for him, and I'm like, but
- 8:25Speaker 5: I am the manager, Like what do you mean?
- 8:27Speaker 6: You know?
- 8:28Speaker 2: So I did what they suggested.
- 8:31Speaker 5: But in the process of me doing that, like this
- 8:34Speaker 5: person that was in place was always like, okay, let
- 8:38Speaker 5: me go Astrika, let me go Astrica. Okay, I got
- 8:40Speaker 5: to go back with Drica. I'm waiting to hear from Drica.
- 8:42Speaker 5: So it was like eventually they caught on like okay,
- 8:45Speaker 5: like she's really the one that's like workings exactly. So
- 8:50Speaker 5: then I then they eventually like respected me and the
- 8:52Speaker 5: people that were in the beginning, like they they truly
- 8:56Speaker 5: respect me, like they're like executives now.
- 8:58Speaker 1: And because my wife is a big fan of Kevin
- 9:01Speaker 1: Gas and she's also a big fan of you, So
- 9:03Speaker 1: after we're done, I'm going to FaceTime her. But you
- 9:06Speaker 1: guys started getting fans of him, but fans of you
- 9:10Speaker 1: two together. So how was that as this was happening
- 9:15Speaker 1: so in real time, because they they'd be like, where's Kevin,
- 9:19Speaker 1: Where's dream Because.
- 9:21Speaker 2: I remember that he came to the radio station, and
- 9:22Speaker 2: I facetimed him. I facetimed her.
- 9:25Speaker 1: She was like, where's Draka, Yes, so I kind of
- 9:28Speaker 1: knew that started happening. How did that make you feel,
- 9:30Speaker 1: because now it's almost like you had to be everywhere
- 9:33Speaker 1: he was at exactly.
- 9:34Speaker 5: Oh yeah, No, we were literally joined at the hip,
- 9:36Speaker 5: like if you saw him, I wasn't too far away,
- 9:39Speaker 5: and vice versa. So it was kind of weird for
- 9:42Speaker 5: me because I'm not I don't want to be the star,
- 9:45Speaker 5: like I don't want to be a singer or a
- 9:47Speaker 5: rapper or anything like that. Like my place was in
- 9:49Speaker 5: the background, like handling the business. That's my comference zone,
- 9:52Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying. So it was it was
- 9:54Speaker 5: kind of weird, but I'm like I understood it, you know.
- 9:58Speaker 2: And he was one of the first rappers that really
- 10:00Speaker 2: acknowledged his lady next to him. Yes, I mean we
- 10:04Speaker 2: saw it when artists would blow up in the beginning
- 10:07Speaker 2: of their careers and then they get a girlfriend. You
- 10:10Speaker 2: came in the game with him next to him, So
- 10:13Speaker 2: I feel like he was one of the first artists
- 10:15Speaker 2: that I saw had his lady right next to him.
- 10:18Speaker 2: And you guys had kids and I was like, this
- 10:20Speaker 2: is literally happening for a public eye.
- 10:22Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, it was pretty amazing.
- 10:25Speaker 5: I think it was really good for a lot of
- 10:26Speaker 5: people to see that because I feel like we influenced
- 10:28Speaker 5: like a lot of you know.
- 10:31Speaker 6: And it's hard to have somebody that you can trust
- 10:34Speaker 6: your career because a lot of people get into a
- 10:38Speaker 6: lot of messy things. But some of your duties were
- 10:41Speaker 6: you led the touring the merchandise department to a multimillion
- 10:45Speaker 6: dollar success that expanded the label into a lifestyle brand.
- 10:49Speaker 6: Like what was your strategy? How did you do that?
- 10:52Speaker 5: I mean, it was all about just growing the brand.
- 10:54Speaker 5: It was like, Okay, yes the music is popping, you
- 10:57Speaker 5: know what I'm saying, But there are other avenues of
- 10:59Speaker 5: making money, you know what I'm saying. There's other ways
- 11:01Speaker 5: to really maximize and capitalize off of this. And so
- 11:06Speaker 5: I really just I just did what I felt that
- 11:10Speaker 5: I should be doing, to be honest with you, and
- 11:12Speaker 5: also just looking at other brands when it came to
- 11:15Speaker 5: like merchandise. You know, merchandise is huge. Now you can
- 11:18Speaker 5: potentially make more off of merchandise than means you are
- 11:21Speaker 5: off for music.
- 11:22Speaker 2: That's not his case.
- 11:23Speaker 5: But because I mean he's very well established, but you know,
- 11:27Speaker 5: like there's still really really good money that you don't
- 11:30Speaker 5: have to get out your bed for. And it's amazing.
- 11:33Speaker 3: We'll be right back with more of The Baller Alert Show.
- 11:38Speaker 3: You're listening to a special edition of The Baller Alert Show.
- 11:41Speaker 7: What's up.
- 11:41Speaker 5: It's Driga Gates and you are now tuned into the
- 11:43Speaker 5: Baller Alert Show.
- 11:45Speaker 2: So I do know eventually you guys got he became
- 11:48Speaker 2: so big that you had to hire help. Yes, what
- 11:51Speaker 2: was that conversation like and how did that happen?
- 11:54Speaker 5: I mean it was really like it's a necessity at
- 11:57Speaker 5: some point because one person you can't do it all,
- 12:00Speaker 5: You're gonna kill yourself, you know what I'm saying. So
- 12:02Speaker 5: it was very it was welcoming, especially for me, you know,
- 12:06Speaker 5: because I'm the one that's like, oh gosh, and wife
- 12:11Speaker 5: like a lot.
- 12:13Speaker 7: How did you separate the marriage and love and business.
- 12:17Speaker 5: I mean, it came to a point to where there
- 12:19Speaker 5: was really no separation. And I'm going to say this
- 12:22Speaker 5: now that I was guilty of being more in the
- 12:25Speaker 5: business manager role than wife role at times, because it's like,
- 12:29Speaker 5: at the end of the day, like I know, it
- 12:31Speaker 5: does but I don't mind saying it. I don't mind,
- 12:35Speaker 5: you know, because I'm guilty of that. I was more
- 12:37Speaker 5: in the you know, that role than I wasn't a
- 12:40Speaker 5: wife role because you know, that had become my life.
- 12:43Speaker 5: That was our life. Like you know what I'm saying.
- 12:46Speaker 5: We spent eighty to ninety percent of our time on
- 12:48Speaker 5: the road, I mean eight of the year on the
- 12:50Speaker 5: road touring, So that was like life to me. Everything
- 12:53Speaker 5: else had to you know, come second and third.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Yeah, So it's probably hard doing the separation.
- 12:59Speaker 4: What was what was some of the things that you
- 13:00Speaker 4: have to do to like actually start to separate yourself
- 13:03Speaker 4: from you know, the roles of being a wife and
- 13:06Speaker 4: music executives and things like that.
- 13:08Speaker 5: Man, it just and this is gonna sound kind of silly,
- 13:12Speaker 5: but behind closed doors is something different.
- 13:15Speaker 7: That's you know what I'm saying.
- 13:16Speaker 5: That's because when we're out in public, like it's it's
- 13:20Speaker 5: the business, it's the music, it's you know what I'm saying.
- 13:22Speaker 5: But at the end of the day, like having someone
- 13:25Speaker 5: standing on the side of you that's in full support,
- 13:27Speaker 5: like that is what really kind of like I guess
- 13:30Speaker 5: you could say, like held it all together.
- 13:32Speaker 2: And you never wanted to put out music. Ever, No,
- 13:35Speaker 2: I never wanted to.
- 13:38Speaker 7: Have you ever heard me sing I'm horrible?
- 13:41Speaker 5: Heard me rap I'm horrible?
- 13:43Speaker 4: Well listen now, now you got writers, Now you know
- 13:45Speaker 4: you can you get somebody.
- 13:50Speaker 7: I know I will still never do it. That is
- 13:52Speaker 7: not my place.
- 13:53Speaker 5: I know.
- 13:54Speaker 7: At what point did you did y'all get married? Twenty fifteen? Okay,
- 14:00Speaker 7: we actually got Okay? What prompted that decision?
- 14:03Speaker 5: It just kind of seemed like the next thing to do.
- 14:05Speaker 5: We had just had our second baby, and it was
- 14:07Speaker 5: just like, oh, let's get married. We love each other,
- 14:11Speaker 5: so like it.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Was a casual conversation like, hey, let's yeah.
- 14:14Speaker 5: I mean because we had been together since we were
- 14:16Speaker 5: baby seventeen, so you know, almost ten years at that point.
- 14:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Yeah, Now there was a moment when you know, I
- 14:23Speaker 1: didn't see you guys together a lot.
- 14:25Speaker 2: And keep in mind, I knew this because my wife
- 14:27Speaker 2: told me.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Everyone watching it like what's going on because she's a
- 14:30Speaker 1: big fan of you separately and him and him?
- 14:34Speaker 2: So what happened?
- 14:37Speaker 5: Life?
- 14:38Speaker 2: Okay, life was life.
- 14:39Speaker 5: Life is life was lifing and life life's for everyone.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm married too, so I kind of I can
- 14:44Speaker 1: put two and two together. Yes, yeah, okay, so but
- 14:47Speaker 1: you got fans. I don't have fans with my marriage.
- 14:52Speaker 2: I mean, even though I think I got a little bit.
- 14:55Speaker 1: It's just like, you know, Atlanta local, you guys had worldwide. Yeah,
- 15:01Speaker 1: like you have like people that stand for you guys
- 15:03Speaker 1: together so over I know, I know they were on
- 15:05Speaker 1: your Instagram.
- 15:06Speaker 2: I'm like, what's happening, what's going on?
- 15:09Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean seriously, like life was fucking lifing. I swear,
- 15:14Speaker 5: like that's really all it boils down to.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Like I take a break, like from the traveling.
- 15:19Speaker 5: Yes, I no longer tour like that. I don't do
- 15:22Speaker 5: that anymore. That is not something that I do. But
- 15:25Speaker 5: at the end of the day, it's my best friend.
- 15:27Speaker 5: We've been together since we were babies. Like we've literally
- 15:30Speaker 5: been together for twenty years.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Wow, that's a lot lot.
- 15:34Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying. To be with someone and
- 15:36Speaker 5: you have to think that we're both coming into this relationship.
- 15:39Speaker 5: We're both bringing our own shit into this relationship. So
- 15:42Speaker 5: to be honest with you, like this the time when
- 15:44Speaker 5: you guys weren't seeing us together, we're really just like
- 15:46Speaker 5: working on ourselves. That's what I was doing. That's what
- 15:49Speaker 5: he was doing.
- 15:50Speaker 7: You know what I'm saying at the end of the
- 15:51Speaker 7: day again like that's my best friend.
- 15:53Speaker 6: So and like you said, getting off with the tour
- 15:56Speaker 6: and stuff like that, did you want a more stable
- 15:58Speaker 6: environment for your children?
- 16:00Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 16:00Speaker 5: But you know the crazy thing is I had them
- 16:02Speaker 5: on the tour. They were touring with us when they
- 16:05Speaker 5: were babies, so yes, but yeah, yeah, but they're homeschool.
- 16:10Speaker 7: And they're so intelligent. They so well, I'll be like, man.
- 16:15Speaker 5: Yeah that makes me feel so good. Yeah, I'm like
- 16:20Speaker 5: a proud mom moment. But yes, my babies are super intelligent.
- 16:24Speaker 6: When you got off the tour and like you said,
- 16:25Speaker 6: you guys were going in your separate directions. Is that
- 16:28Speaker 6: when the Gates family farm came about and you started
- 16:30Speaker 6: to pour yourself into that.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:32Speaker 5: So actually early twenty twenty we made the Well. I
- 16:36Speaker 5: went to him when we were living in California at
- 16:38Speaker 5: like December twenty nineteen. I was like, look, I had
- 16:41Speaker 5: like this epiphany. I was like, I'm going to the farm.
- 16:44Speaker 5: You can come or you can stay here, and he
- 16:46Speaker 5: was like, you leave me. So so we went to
- 16:51Speaker 5: the farm together and then I mean COVID hit after that,
- 16:55Speaker 5: and then I mean, shit, everybody's life change, you know
- 16:58Speaker 5: what I'm saying. And like, for me, that was a
- 17:01Speaker 5: time for me to really really like really dive into
- 17:03Speaker 5: myself and work on myself because I mean, for seventeen
- 17:06Speaker 5: years I had devoted myself to you know, him and
- 17:10Speaker 5: his career. So for me, it was really just a
- 17:13Speaker 5: time for me to dive into myself. And I'm honest
- 17:15Speaker 5: to God, didn't care about anything else that was going
- 17:18Speaker 5: on with anybody else.
- 17:19Speaker 6: And did you feel like even prior to the farm
- 17:21Speaker 6: and finding yourself, did you feel like you had to
- 17:24Speaker 6: something to prove and to achieve, you know, with his career,
- 17:27Speaker 6: like you quit school and stuff like that, and your
- 17:29Speaker 6: parents are probably like what are you going to do?
- 17:31Speaker 6: You know, and you made this big success out of
- 17:33Speaker 6: his career and now you know you're you're going to
- 17:37Speaker 6: make a life for yourself on this farm. How did
- 17:39Speaker 6: the farm help you?
- 17:40Speaker 5: Oh man? Internally I received some of my biggest lessons,
- 17:45Speaker 5: like on the farm, just being in isolation with myself,
- 17:49Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying, Like you get a lot
- 17:52Speaker 5: of people are afraid to sit with themselves, you know
- 17:54Speaker 5: what I'm saying, True.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Deal with yourself, exactly and your issues exactly.
- 17:59Speaker 5: But I was, I'm not gonna say happily in that place,
- 18:02Speaker 5: but I was in that place and I got the
- 18:04Speaker 5: opportunity to really grow into evolve into this fucking I'm
- 18:08Speaker 5: sorry patting myself on the back, but like this amazing
- 18:11Speaker 5: person that can now like when it comes to just
- 18:13Speaker 5: processing life's experiences, like I'm a beast at that. Like
- 18:16Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying, there's nothing you can go Yeah, yeah,
- 18:20Speaker 5: steps for myself, you know what I'm saying. But it's
- 18:24Speaker 5: like and I feel like that's something that everyone should do,
- 18:27Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying, Because for me, that was
- 18:29Speaker 5: kind of like also like an identity crisis, you know
- 18:31Speaker 5: what I'm saying, because like for seventeen years, you're this person,
- 18:35Speaker 5: you're you know what I'm saying. So I really just
- 18:38Speaker 5: like took that time out for myself. I took that
- 18:40Speaker 5: as an opportunity to really just really really work on myself.
- 18:43Speaker 1: And did you have the support yes, from why you
- 18:47Speaker 1: were on the forum working on yourself, Like what was
- 18:49Speaker 1: the things that you were practicing, the you know, kind
- 18:51Speaker 1: of heal stuff that you've been through in your life.
- 18:53Speaker 5: Oh, a lot of a lot of people like to
- 18:55Speaker 5: call it like shadow work, because a lot of us
- 18:58Speaker 5: have the tendency to like project onto other people, or
- 19:02Speaker 5: we'll experience something and want to point the finger and
- 19:05Speaker 5: play victim and all that stuff. And it really took
- 19:07Speaker 5: me stepping outside of that and going back to shit
- 19:11Speaker 5: fucking childhood, you know what I'm saying, getting to the
- 19:13Speaker 5: root of why do I feel this way about this?
- 19:16Speaker 5: Why is this really bothering me? Anyways? You know what
- 19:18Speaker 5: I'm saying, and just really just getting to the root
- 19:21Speaker 5: of everything. You know, we have our triggers. You got
- 19:26Speaker 5: to get to the root of them, because it's really
- 19:28Speaker 5: not the person that's triggering you. It's some ship that's deep, deep,
- 19:31Speaker 5: deep down in Yeah.
- 19:33Speaker 7: Why Mississippi out of all places?
- 19:36Speaker 5: Okay, So now that's not the roll Mississippi. Yeah, Sippy
- 19:42Speaker 5: is about to turn up. Okay, every time.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Another roll Misissippi off from Markansas. So hey, my neighbor,
- 19:47Speaker 2: my neighbor, So why Mississippi? And what part of Mississippi?
- 19:50Speaker 5: So ma co Mississippi. It's like an hour ten min.
- 19:52Speaker 5: It's north of New Orleans. Okay, Right, So I actually
- 19:56Speaker 5: spent my summers in Mississippi at my grandmother's great grandmothers
- 19:59Speaker 5: h house. So it's kind of like a had like
- 20:02Speaker 5: a kind of full circle moment with going back to
- 20:05Speaker 5: the farm.
- 20:05Speaker 7: Did the land speak to you when you went out there?
- 20:07Speaker 6: Oh?
- 20:08Speaker 5: Yes, And I'm talking about on some like ancestrals like
- 20:12Speaker 5: type stuff, not the fact that, okay, we bought this
- 20:15Speaker 5: land in this hours. No, like this really belongs to us,
- 20:19Speaker 5: like our place like that.
- 20:21Speaker 6: How did you acquire the farm? Like where did how
- 20:23Speaker 6: did you did you go out there? Were you just
- 20:25Speaker 6: driving an open road and said this is it?
- 20:30Speaker 5: I didn't have one.
- 20:31Speaker 7: Of those moments.
- 20:32Speaker 5: But in twenty seventeen, my dad, so my parents, they
- 20:36Speaker 5: had like a second home up there, and my dad
- 20:38Speaker 5: was like, y'all want to get like a property up here.
- 20:40Speaker 5: And we were like, okay, whatever, like we'll go there
- 20:43Speaker 5: when we have time. And so we got in twenty
- 20:46Speaker 5: seventeen and then yeah it Yeah, we just got it
- 20:51Speaker 5: and ended up living on it.
- 20:54Speaker 7: And it's a blueberry farm.
- 20:55Speaker 2: A blueberry farm, yes, educated me, what's the blueberry that's say?
- 20:59Speaker 5: Oh, it just mean we just have acres of blueberries. Yeah,
- 21:02Speaker 5: acres of blueberries.
- 21:03Speaker 7: But you have animals that live on this.
- 21:06Speaker 5: I have animals now. So we have camels, alpacas, peacocks, tortoises.
- 21:10Speaker 2: That's the big old birds that go with them. Make
- 21:12Speaker 2: them noise, They make them noise. Get scared of all
- 21:16Speaker 2: the animals?
- 21:17Speaker 5: Hell no, I'm not scared of animals.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Not any horses.
- 21:21Speaker 7: No, I don't do horses.
- 21:24Speaker 5: I don't do horse.
- 21:25Speaker 7: Did you have a bad experience.
- 21:26Speaker 5: I haven't had a bad experience, but I don't want
- 21:28Speaker 5: to have a bad That's a big creature right.
- 21:31Speaker 2: There, like wild muffalo nothing, none of that. No.
- 21:34Speaker 7: But we do have cattle, but they're elsewhere. Okay.
- 21:38Speaker 2: So does your children have duties?
- 21:40Speaker 3: Uh?
- 21:41Speaker 5: Yes, I try. You know, it's kind of it's it's
- 21:45Speaker 5: it's a little difficult.
- 21:46Speaker 4: I do try, though, because y'all coming from l A
- 21:49Speaker 4: to Mississippi. So I know your kids are kind of like.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Man, what is this?
- 21:54Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 21:54Speaker 2: But they actually they love it.
- 21:56Speaker 5: They'll take their shoes off, go outside, run around, playing
- 21:58Speaker 5: the mud jumping. Yeah, they love it.
- 22:01Speaker 7: Are their friends nearby or they have friends?
- 22:04Speaker 5: Okay, we don't have neighbors, so yeah, that's what I'm
- 22:07Speaker 5: where friends come from.
- 22:08Speaker 2: Yeah, wait, while neighbors.
- 22:10Speaker 7: Who wants neighbors?
- 22:11Speaker 2: She said, I know you a country because you's in
- 22:15Speaker 2: the country. You don't want nobody.
- 22:17Speaker 5: You don't want my house, right, house, business, None of.
- 22:19Speaker 2: That have a point.
- 22:22Speaker 7: So what is the day to day? A day and
- 22:23Speaker 7: a life on the farm.
- 22:25Speaker 2: What do you do?
- 22:25Speaker 7: Like when you wake up?
- 22:26Speaker 6: I know I've seen a video of kind of like
- 22:29Speaker 6: you you moving around, but you know, just for the audience,
- 22:31Speaker 6: what is it?
- 22:31Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean I wake up, I go in my
- 22:33Speaker 5: gym work out. I try to get up before everybody
- 22:37Speaker 5: else does, because once everybody else is.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Up, it's over with.
- 22:40Speaker 5: You don't get nothing done.
- 22:41Speaker 2: So I go you were just asking me. I was like, dude,
- 22:45Speaker 2: I've been up five in the morning.
- 22:47Speaker 5: But that part, yes, So I get up early before
- 22:49Speaker 5: everyone else. I go next door work out. After that,
- 22:52Speaker 5: I'll probably do like a little meditation or something, and
- 22:55Speaker 5: then I go outside, walk around, check on the animals,
- 22:58Speaker 5: all that good stuff. Go inside, I see the kids,
- 23:00Speaker 5: and the kids are getting ready to start school, and
- 23:04Speaker 5: then I start my day. Really after that work.
- 23:07Speaker 6: Are the animals on automatic feeders or do you feed them?
- 23:10Speaker 4: Oh?
- 23:10Speaker 5: No, no, no, I have help. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 23:14Speaker 5: we have help that come in Monday through Friday.
- 23:17Speaker 2: That's good.
- 23:17Speaker 4: It's probably so peaceful to just be able to just
- 23:20Speaker 4: that's actually one of my dreams because I'm a country
- 23:22Speaker 4: boys just be like man, I just want to get
- 23:24Speaker 4: a farm or get a lake house and just be there.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Now you say you've work out, Now, is that where
- 23:30Speaker 1: the drenk of wellness comes from?
- 23:32Speaker 7: So drink of Wellness.
- 23:34Speaker 5: I have been working on this actually for like years,
- 23:36Speaker 5: but didn't have the time, and then during COVID I
- 23:40Speaker 5: had the time, so I was able to like get
- 23:42Speaker 5: all that together and launch it in twenty twenty one.
- 23:46Speaker 5: But yeah, it's all about it's based on like just
- 23:49Speaker 5: health and wellness. I just it's not a place where
- 23:52Speaker 5: I get to share like the things that I've created
- 23:55Speaker 5: myself and things that have helped me like on my journey.
- 23:57Speaker 7: So, yeah, you have skincare or.
- 24:01Speaker 6: Candles, crystals, books, bracelets, all things well yeah, hair products,
- 24:07Speaker 6: you know, and you have like over one thousand and
- 24:09Speaker 6: five star reviews, which is amazing, and that's not easy
- 24:13Speaker 6: to get.
- 24:13Speaker 5: No, it's not okay, and I'm not going to because
- 24:17Speaker 5: I want like people's genuine like opinions of the products.
- 24:21Speaker 5: But I put a lot of love into it and
- 24:23Speaker 5: it's not My ship is not white label.
- 24:26Speaker 2: I use my own products, like you.
- 24:28Speaker 5: Go in my bath.
- 24:29Speaker 4: This ain't no influencer thing with somebody.
- 24:33Speaker 5: No, this is like my ship gotch my custom formula
- 24:36Speaker 5: is my everything. Like I said, your skin looks really good.
- 24:40Speaker 6: So I'm pretty sure that you know they watch and
- 24:43Speaker 6: they're like, man, I want that one now.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Who can use these products? Men?
- 24:47Speaker 5: Men can use them.
- 24:48Speaker 2: To actually have a lot of men that use the product.
- 24:49Speaker 4: So that's why one of your friends she was like,
- 24:51Speaker 4: I was like, man, I think I put on too much.
- 24:53Speaker 2: She's like, you put on lotion exactly on oil. I
- 24:57Speaker 2: was like, but so we're not supposed to put on lotion.
- 25:03Speaker 7: It's cleaner to put on like an oil, something that's in.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Its whole show a life, little path.
- 25:11Speaker 4: Of course, ye can y'all make that happens as a
- 25:15Speaker 4: roast to me about putting on lotion.
- 25:17Speaker 2: So I would come in here, ashy. I do reviews too,
- 25:20Speaker 2: So matter of fact, I'm gonna have my wife do
- 25:21Speaker 2: a review.
- 25:25Speaker 5: I love it. Make sure you send it over so
- 25:27Speaker 5: we can, yes, put it on blast.
- 25:29Speaker 6: So if somebody's looking to heal themselves and going into
- 25:34Speaker 6: you know, I want to really take this seriously.
- 25:37Speaker 2: My healing journey.
- 25:37Speaker 6: What should they start with as far as your products go,
- 25:40Speaker 6: should they get a candle a crystal to start? Uh?
- 25:44Speaker 7: You know, body butter.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Body butter.
- 25:46Speaker 7: You know what's so crazy?
- 25:48Speaker 5: It's going to be something the thing that you don't
- 25:50Speaker 5: put on your body, because I feel like everything starts
- 25:52Speaker 5: with like the mental. And so I have this journal
- 25:56Speaker 5: and I call it high Vibe writing, and it's where
- 25:59Speaker 5: you write for like twelve minutes. It's like you can
- 26:01Speaker 5: be pissed off whatever you're pissed off, whoever you're pissed
- 26:04Speaker 5: off with. It's like you just go in right, you
- 26:06Speaker 5: write for twelve minutes straight and then you like burn
- 26:09Speaker 5: it and that kind of like neutralizes the negativity. And
- 26:12Speaker 5: so that is like where I would honestly tell people
- 26:15Speaker 5: that's where you would start at, because for me, it's
- 26:17Speaker 5: all about like releasing and then you refill your body
- 26:20Speaker 5: with the good stuff.
- 26:22Speaker 7: Yeah, the Earth Signed Virgo is just just released.
- 26:25Speaker 6: I feel like you you need that just a flute
- 26:29Speaker 6: behind you know.
- 26:31Speaker 5: Your voice, your memoir and just.
- 26:38Speaker 7: You know, a nice music behind it with waterfall.
- 26:42Speaker 5: Yes, that's my whole vibe.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the vibes.
- 26:45Speaker 5: I can feel it. I can feel it.
- 26:47Speaker 6: You have a garden as well, Yes, I do. What
- 26:49Speaker 6: is the benefits of growing your own? And do you
- 26:51Speaker 6: recommend that to people?
- 26:52Speaker 5: Yes, even if you grow like on a freaking window
- 26:55Speaker 5: sill or out of pots on your balcony, like I
- 26:57Speaker 5: do recommend it. The food is different. It's not what
- 27:00Speaker 5: you're going to get out of the store. It's like
- 27:02Speaker 5: it's going to be packed with nutrients, is going to
- 27:04Speaker 5: be packed with love because you grew it yourself and
- 27:07Speaker 5: you're going to really appreciate it, like that ship is
- 27:09Speaker 5: really rewarding.
- 27:11Speaker 2: So like what's in your garden?
- 27:12Speaker 5: Oh yeah, so I have to get ready for this.
- 27:18Speaker 2: I'm sure you have to learn what to grow, how
- 27:20Speaker 2: to grow it?
- 27:21Speaker 5: Hell yeah.
- 27:22Speaker 2: Can't just plant a pineapple.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Tree and expect that thing to grow coconut or whatever.
- 27:28Speaker 5: Hell no, I've had a lot of trial and errors.
- 27:30Speaker 5: But like okrah is one of my favorite things.
- 27:35Speaker 2: It grows wow too, Like like how do you plant okra?
- 27:40Speaker 7: Is a plant? But then it grows up into like
- 27:42Speaker 7: a stalk?
- 27:42Speaker 2: Okay?
- 27:43Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 27:43Speaker 7: Corn?
- 27:45Speaker 5: Yeah, and that that's like probably one of my favorite things.
- 27:48Speaker 5: But I have like over sixty different like fruits and vegetables.
- 27:50Speaker 6: That's what's up you harvest everything? Yeah, love Love Harvest?
- 27:55Speaker 6: Where did love Harvest come from?
- 27:57Speaker 4: Me?
- 27:59Speaker 5: So, like people started calling me love and so that's
- 28:02Speaker 5: why I named it loves Harvest, Like this is my harvest,
- 28:05Speaker 5: Like this is.
- 28:07Speaker 2: So everything is just kind of peeling off of what
- 28:08Speaker 2: who you?
- 28:10Speaker 6: Yes, we're in the drink a world now like she's
- 28:13Speaker 6: she's lived that that previous life and now it's all
- 28:15Speaker 6: about her and I love it.
- 28:16Speaker 4: Man.
- 28:16Speaker 6: Loves Harvest is actually a cannabis company. Yes, right, can
- 28:20Speaker 6: you tell us about that?
- 28:21Speaker 2: Yes, it is my like ten got I'm taking notes
- 28:30Speaker 2: like a moth.
- 28:32Speaker 5: So that's my that's my cannabis dispensary that's solely on
- 28:36Speaker 5: operated by me that I'm opening up in Mississippi and
- 28:39Speaker 5: I'm opening on four twenty. Okay, that.
- 28:44Speaker 2: Like ten computer screens with each man. No, I don't
- 28:48Speaker 2: keep up with all these businesses.
- 28:50Speaker 7: It's a lie, but I do have a really good
- 28:52Speaker 7: team that helps.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Okay, Okay, so you have a drinker team.
- 28:55Speaker 5: Yes, I have a drinker team.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Fire. So are you still doing the music?
- 29:00Speaker 4: No?
- 29:00Speaker 2: Website? YouTube? You got a YouTube page?
- 29:02Speaker 7: Drinking Gates TV?
- 29:04Speaker 2: Yep?
- 29:04Speaker 7: Yah, yeah, Drink and Gates TV.
- 29:08Speaker 6: Yeah, So what going back to love Harvest, what makes
- 29:11Speaker 6: your strand or product different than all the other products
- 29:16Speaker 6: out there?
- 29:16Speaker 5: I mean, so for me, like I don't have my
- 29:18Speaker 5: strain necessarily just yet, but that's something I'm working on.
- 29:22Speaker 5: But just with Love's Harvest, like when you come into
- 29:24Speaker 5: my place, like it's totally different. It's going to be
- 29:26Speaker 5: like any unlike any other like dispenser you've ever been into,
- 29:30Speaker 5: Like it's gonna transport you to somewhere else.
- 29:32Speaker 2: Can you name some like Mississippi? No, okay, what did.
- 29:37Speaker 7: You just ask me if I could name Kevin Gates song?
- 29:39Speaker 2: Can you name some strands like Kevin Gates songs? Like
- 29:41Speaker 2: oh yeah, yes, of course, spoke this one. If you
- 29:48Speaker 2: got two phones, get out bet right now. Yeah, they're
- 30:01Speaker 2: gonna come to the cameras. I want that to drink
- 30:03Speaker 2: of two phones. I want the two phones.
- 30:05Speaker 7: What drinker's not gonna do that she's gonna name.
- 30:10Speaker 2: But it could be.
- 30:12Speaker 5: Okay, So I am working on something, right, A balance, Huh.
- 30:16Speaker 7: It's gonna be a balance between the two.
- 30:18Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, Because I mean, like I'm very I'm very
- 30:21Speaker 5: in tune with myself and with nature and all that stuff.
- 30:23Speaker 5: But you know, everything's like full circle now, so I'm
- 30:26Speaker 5: incorporating some of my past with where I am now,
- 30:29Speaker 5: you know. But yeah, I'm working on something really really really.
- 30:33Speaker 7: Good, working on the line for like athletes and artists.
- 30:41Speaker 2: That's fire. Is it a clothing line?
- 30:44Speaker 7: No?
- 30:44Speaker 5: Oh no no, this is all with.
- 30:48Speaker 2: We're we're gonna be able to get it.
- 30:50Speaker 5: My intention is to be able to have it like everywhere,
- 30:53Speaker 5: everywhere where it's lee legal.
- 30:55Speaker 6: But now we have to drive to Mississippi to experience
- 30:58Speaker 6: the love.
- 30:58Speaker 7: Harvest, right, yes, yes, but I promise it'll be worth it.
- 31:02Speaker 7: I know your parents are pressed.
- 31:03Speaker 5: That's your dad, Oh my gosh, yes, my parents are
- 31:05Speaker 5: very proud of me.
- 31:06Speaker 4: Yes, yes, they probably like who would have thought you
- 31:09Speaker 4: dropped out of college?
- 31:11Speaker 2: That part not at all l s U.
- 31:17Speaker 5: Yeah, they didn't take that likely.
- 31:20Speaker 2: They thought she was going to be a doctor. Like,
- 31:23Speaker 2: if you don't mind me asking, like, how how was
- 31:25Speaker 2: that communication when you dropped out? And then they was like.
- 31:32Speaker 7: Did your brother kind of help you a little bit?
- 31:33Speaker 2: Like this is what happened?
- 31:36Speaker 5: Hell, yeah, that didn't go over well.
- 31:39Speaker 2: What you telling her? I think I'm about to be
- 31:40Speaker 2: a music manager.
- 31:42Speaker 5: I didn't even.
- 31:42Speaker 7: Say that no.
- 31:47Speaker 5: I literally like I got cut off and it was
- 31:50Speaker 5: kind of like okay, well, ship, that's over with now,
- 31:53Speaker 5: so like we got to make this happen.
- 31:54Speaker 3: You know, we'll be right back stayed with more of
- 31:58Speaker 3: the ball Or Alert Show. You're listening to a special
- 32:03Speaker 3: edition of the Baller Alert Show.
- 32:04Speaker 2: What's up?
- 32:05Speaker 5: It's Drigga Gates and you are now tuned into the
- 32:07Speaker 5: Baller Alert Show.
- 32:08Speaker 1: So you have a you have great energy, right, but
- 32:12Speaker 1: I know that you probably have a bad day or
- 32:14Speaker 1: two here.
- 32:15Speaker 7: Well, yeah, who doesn't have a bad day?
- 32:19Speaker 1: How do you smile through it? What do you do?
- 32:21Speaker 1: Do you speak to therapist? Do you talk to somebody?
- 32:23Speaker 5: So I have a person that you call the You
- 32:25Speaker 5: burn the pages, I burn them pages. I'll be fuck
- 32:31Speaker 5: on them pages. I also like there's a lot of
- 32:34Speaker 5: different things that I do, like different meditations and exercises
- 32:37Speaker 5: and ship where I can scream at the top of
- 32:38Speaker 5: my lungs and really just get it all out and
- 32:41Speaker 5: then I can come back down to myself. But it's
- 32:44Speaker 5: really like the way I process shit, Like a so
- 32:48Speaker 5: called problem to me isn't a problem. It's an opportunity,
- 32:51Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying. I'm not trying to be
- 32:52Speaker 5: on some old positive that's really like what I do,
- 32:56Speaker 5: Like I really just it's the way that I process everything,
- 32:59Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying. And I learn that from
- 33:01Speaker 5: a spiritual psychologist that I was working with for like
- 33:03Speaker 5: two years. Like I learned a lot of really awesome
- 33:08Speaker 5: ass tools just for fucking lifing, which I feel like
- 33:11Speaker 5: everybody needs. Can you share a couple of them, Like
- 33:14Speaker 5: one of one of them is the writing, you know
- 33:16Speaker 5: what I'm saying. And also it is uh looking at
- 33:19Speaker 5: the challenges as opportunities, like what is the what what's
- 33:23Speaker 5: the lesson that I'm getting from this? Like what am
- 33:25Speaker 5: I gaining from this? Because you're gaining something, you know
- 33:28Speaker 5: what I'm saying.
- 33:29Speaker 2: So what are some top five wellness tips that.
- 33:33Speaker 7: You can share for people?
- 33:34Speaker 5: Wellness tips sell first, like put your oxygen masks on first,
- 33:38Speaker 5: like always, no matter what, like no matter what when
- 33:43Speaker 5: it comes to just like the physical health, like know
- 33:45Speaker 5: what your body likes, like get your fucking get go
- 33:48Speaker 5: and get your like your blood tests done and know
- 33:50Speaker 5: like what your body's like. But what your body likes
- 33:52Speaker 5: with the food, allergens and all that stuff.
- 33:56Speaker 7: What can inflame you?
- 33:57Speaker 5: Yes, because that shit is important. You you could have
- 33:59Speaker 5: like a favorite food, and that every time you eat it,
- 34:02Speaker 5: that shit is fucking you up.
- 34:04Speaker 7: For me, it's bad.
- 34:05Speaker 5: Yes, same here, Like I feel like I accidentally had
- 34:09Speaker 5: some dairy even though I ast I'm like, is there dairy?
- 34:11Speaker 5: And is it? Like my skin is breaking out right now?
- 34:13Speaker 5: So just really just getting to know yourself. How many
- 34:18Speaker 5: how many do you have to do?
- 34:19Speaker 2: Oh?
- 34:19Speaker 7: Sat there if you want water?
- 34:21Speaker 2: Huh that's three? Yeah? Or I am not a vegetarian.
- 34:27Speaker 5: I'm not a vegetarian. I don't subscribe to any of that.
- 34:30Speaker 5: I like everything is balanced with me now, I mean
- 34:33Speaker 5: you see.
- 34:33Speaker 6: Me, ah yeah, okay, yeah, your kids how old are
- 34:39Speaker 6: they now?
- 34:39Speaker 5: Nine and eleven?
- 34:40Speaker 7: Nine and eleven?
- 34:41Speaker 6: And what kind of practices do they take on that
- 34:44Speaker 6: that you do often You're like you do that on
- 34:47Speaker 6: your own now.
- 34:48Speaker 5: I love it, Yes, I mean even like what I
- 34:50Speaker 5: was telling you about with just processing experiences and stuff
- 34:54Speaker 5: like that. Like my kids are all fucking beast with
- 34:56Speaker 5: like dealing with people and that just makes me so
- 34:59Speaker 5: proud them. Like I love that because I feel like
- 35:02Speaker 5: at the end of the day, I don't I'm not
- 35:03Speaker 5: gonna say I don't care if you know how to
- 35:05Speaker 5: count or not, but I need you to be able
- 35:07Speaker 5: to know how to life like for real, for real,
- 35:09Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying, because a lot of people
- 35:11Speaker 5: end up like That's why there's such a People call
- 35:14Speaker 5: it like a mental health crisis, but it's just really
- 35:17Speaker 5: because people don't know how to process the shit that
- 35:19Speaker 5: they're experiencing in life, you know. And it's not to
- 35:22Speaker 5: downplay that, you know, but I feel like that is
- 35:24Speaker 5: a very important tool that we need to be teaching
- 35:28Speaker 5: our kids self mastery how to life. You know.
- 35:32Speaker 7: Are they in school now or are they still homeschool?
- 35:34Speaker 4: Oh?
- 35:35Speaker 7: No, my kids are homeschool. They will be homeschool until
- 35:38Speaker 7: they're done.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Any particular reason why.
- 35:42Speaker 5: For me, I feel like I'm my child's best teacher
- 35:46Speaker 5: at the end of the day, and the schools now
- 35:48Speaker 5: are little they're starting to get a little too progressive
- 35:51Speaker 5: for my liking.
- 35:53Speaker 7: Take that.
- 35:53Speaker 5: How you want to.
- 35:56Speaker 7: Do they play like sports? To get interaction with o?
- 36:00Speaker 5: Yes, yes, yes, they play softball, baseball, soccer, things like that.
- 36:05Speaker 7: Okay, yeah, Rotti, they do they Yeah, that's good.
- 36:08Speaker 4: Because a lot of people think, you know, some parents
- 36:10Speaker 4: would think like homeschool, like they need to go be
- 36:12Speaker 4: around regular kids and have you know, those type of interactions.
- 36:16Speaker 5: And they do. They interact with regular kids. And then
- 36:18Speaker 5: they also like they travel, like a lot of the
- 36:21Speaker 5: times when we're traveling stuff, the kids are with us,
- 36:23Speaker 5: so they're getting to experience like all of these amazing
- 36:26Speaker 5: things and interact with all types of different people. So yeah, are.
- 36:31Speaker 7: They picking up wanting to do what their parents do
- 36:35Speaker 7: at all?
- 36:36Speaker 6: I want to be yeah this mom, I want to
- 36:39Speaker 6: do that dad.
- 36:40Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 36:41Speaker 5: It's funny because my daughter, she was actually on her
- 36:43Speaker 5: way to being an actress when we were in California,
- 36:45Speaker 5: but she's so she was tired of being in traffic
- 36:50Speaker 5: every day, so she like stopped. She had an agent
- 36:52Speaker 5: and everything, but now she's wanting to get back into it.
- 36:55Speaker 5: And I'm like, are you sure, Like do you know
- 36:57Speaker 5: that means you're gonna have to go back to California
- 36:59Speaker 5: and like be in the mix again. So my daughter
- 37:03Speaker 5: does like she's and she actually has a great voice.
- 37:05Speaker 5: But yeah, my son, no, he wants to just play
- 37:09Speaker 5: this video came gamer.
- 37:15Speaker 4: That's some decent money. Now, I know you might need
- 37:19Speaker 4: to get back in that management role. He starts streaming.
- 37:21Speaker 5: Look if they do I will be the best my.
- 37:29Speaker 7: Kids career like that part.
- 37:32Speaker 6: Yes, speaking of kids, do you what do you think
- 37:35Speaker 6: about kids in social media?
- 37:37Speaker 5: Ooh, that's a really touchy touchy, touchy, touchy touchy subject
- 37:41Speaker 5: for me. Like my kid, my daughter, like she loves
- 37:43Speaker 5: creating the videos and things like that, but her account
- 37:46Speaker 5: is on private because it's like people can be really
- 37:49Speaker 5: harsh and I don't want that. I'm not going to
- 37:51Speaker 5: say that. I'm trying to like shelter them. But at
- 37:53Speaker 5: the same time, you don't have to experience that either,
- 37:56Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying. You don't have to be
- 37:58Speaker 5: exposed to all of that. So, but my kids are
- 38:01Speaker 5: they're very intelligent, so they know, you know, when if
- 38:06Speaker 5: they run across something and it's just they know to
- 38:09Speaker 5: pass on by, like just keep it moving.
- 38:11Speaker 6: Ney advice for like parents and kids, you know with
- 38:14Speaker 6: social media out there, who's like, well, I need to
- 38:17Speaker 6: have my baby be famous, that's what they'd be trying
- 38:23Speaker 6: to be doing, Like I know, yes, their kids or
- 38:28Speaker 6: not said, yeah, I don't really believe in that because
- 38:32Speaker 6: the industry, you guys know, y'all in the industry, the
- 38:34Speaker 6: industry is tough.
- 38:35Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying I call.
- 38:36Speaker 7: It the matrix because it's like you can just tell
- 38:40Speaker 7: the matrix.
- 38:41Speaker 6: You know, we're just talking about the Nickelodeon doc and
- 38:44Speaker 6: we see how you know, parents should have been more
- 38:47Speaker 6: involved in them.
- 38:48Speaker 2: Understand how. I'm like, how's that going on?
- 38:51Speaker 5: And because they're not there and present, like that's why
- 38:55Speaker 5: I said, if my kids got into it, no, I'm
- 38:56Speaker 5: going to be the manager fu all that, like I
- 39:00Speaker 5: got them, you know, but that's not that's not something
- 39:04Speaker 5: I'd recommend. And if you do do it, you need
- 39:06Speaker 5: to be there. You need to be present for everything.
- 39:09Speaker 6: So well, speaking to kids one more time. You are
- 39:13Speaker 6: a doula?
- 39:14Speaker 5: Yeah, how did I mean?
- 39:16Speaker 2: I understand it.
- 39:17Speaker 6: I understand how you got there because you just overall HeLa.
- 39:20Speaker 7: You know, you've been healing since you.
- 39:22Speaker 2: Was off tour.
- 39:24Speaker 6: But how did the doula come about you? Like, did
- 39:28Speaker 6: you wake up on it? I need to be a duel.
- 39:29Speaker 2: I had a dream for people who don't know what
- 39:31Speaker 2: is a doula.
- 39:32Speaker 5: So a birth doula is something that is something somebody
- 39:35Speaker 5: that really just accompanies like the woman through She's just
- 39:38Speaker 5: there to support the woman, like at the woman. I
- 39:40Speaker 5: mean the birthing.
- 39:42Speaker 2: Yeah no, I'm.
- 39:43Speaker 5: Saying no, Okay, I have to say this real quick
- 39:46Speaker 5: because they're making us say birthing person. That's why I'm
- 39:49Speaker 5: crossing there. But yeah, I'm just there to support the woman,
- 39:56Speaker 5: whether she wants like a massage, needs her feet massage
- 39:59Speaker 5: or a back massage, or just helping her with different
- 40:03Speaker 5: techniques to cope with like the pain.
- 40:06Speaker 6: And understanding the journey, yes, knowing what to ask for
- 40:10Speaker 6: exactly so, like so as a childbirth educator, because I'm
- 40:15Speaker 6: a certified childbirth educator as well, it's my job to
- 40:18Speaker 6: make sure that you know, like what's going on with
- 40:20Speaker 6: your body, like because it's a very natural process, like
- 40:22Speaker 6: our bodies are made to do this.
- 40:24Speaker 7: It just all I have to help.
- 40:26Speaker 5: My goal is to help them to remove the fears
- 40:28Speaker 5: and make have them all the way knowledgeable about what's
- 40:31Speaker 5: happening so that they're not like this and causing even
- 40:34Speaker 5: more pain. You know.
- 40:35Speaker 7: So have you been through how many pregnancies have you
- 40:39Speaker 7: been a part of.
- 40:41Speaker 5: I've did three Because I don't have a lot of time,
- 40:43Speaker 5: and you're like you're like on call because you don't
- 40:46Speaker 5: you never know when you're gonna really have your baby.
- 40:48Speaker 5: But I've had three births.
- 40:50Speaker 7: What was the experience?
- 40:51Speaker 5: Absolutely beautiful, amazing. I mean I get to see this
- 40:56Speaker 5: thing come into the world, like, it's amazing. I love
- 40:59Speaker 5: it's went you to that career. I'm just really passionate
- 41:03Speaker 5: about that. I've had both of my kids. Both of
- 41:06Speaker 5: my kids were born here in Atlanta, Okay, in my townhouse,
- 41:09Speaker 5: in my bedroom, in a water, in a little birthing pool.
- 41:13Speaker 6: I wouldn't have never imagined it any other way.
- 41:20Speaker 2: Dree con vertgo gates way.
- 41:22Speaker 7: Yeah. But and as you have a dula for both pregnancies.
- 41:25Speaker 5: I just had a midwife.
- 41:26Speaker 2: I didn't have the duela.
- 41:27Speaker 5: Then, yeah, so the midwife is actually they're there to
- 41:30Speaker 5: actually help with the birth, and then like the duela
- 41:31Speaker 5: is there to support. Yeah.
- 41:33Speaker 7: Nice.
- 41:34Speaker 6: And another thing that you're doing, you're working on your
- 41:37Speaker 6: certification to be a love and sex coach.
- 41:40Speaker 1: This is like you're her seventeenth certification, right, I like
- 41:44Speaker 1: you got about twenty jobs.
- 41:47Speaker 2: Like do you have a list on your phone? Like,
- 41:49Speaker 2: all right, I get certified on this. I'm going to
- 41:52Speaker 2: do this.
- 41:52Speaker 7: Hey, this is the last one, I promise.
- 41:55Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 41:56Speaker 5: It's like a year long commitment, but it's not so
- 42:00Speaker 5: and love and the sense of oh Trotty's new positions.
- 42:03Speaker 5: It's not that it's sex and love and a sense
- 42:05Speaker 5: of like healing, because sex is very healing. It's like
- 42:09Speaker 5: when a man and woman exchange energy, like and it's
- 42:13Speaker 5: equally like it can be a beautiful thing, like it's
- 42:16Speaker 5: real true medicine, like for the body, for our souls.
- 42:20Speaker 5: So that's like the aspect of the sex. That's where
- 42:24Speaker 5: I'm coming with it. Yeah, And it's beautiful and it's
- 42:27Speaker 5: also it goes down to getting to know ourselves, both
- 42:31Speaker 5: the man and the woman, you know, coming together with
- 42:35Speaker 5: knowledge of self like.
- 42:37Speaker 6: And that's a common practice or love and sex coach,
- 42:42Speaker 6: uh in what sense?
- 42:43Speaker 7: Like when have you had one? And then you're like, hey,
- 42:45Speaker 7: I can do that.
- 42:46Speaker 5: No, I haven't had one, but I've taken like these
- 42:48Speaker 5: different courses and I'm like, what like, but honestly, all
- 42:54Speaker 5: of this stuff goes hand in hand, like it all.
- 42:56Speaker 7: Goes it's all healing. It's it's all healing.
- 42:59Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah.
- 43:01Speaker 6: Drinka dot com for your wellness needs.
- 43:04Speaker 2: She has everything.

- 43:12Speaker 2: We're gonna look up, you're gonna be running for office

- 43:19Speaker 5: do my cannabis stuff.
- 43:21Speaker 2: I want to become legal.
- 43:23Speaker 5: Maybe is it legal in Mississippi?
- 43:26Speaker 2: Oh so you got to have that's gonna be the
- 43:28Speaker 2: last day of George. I'm just saying. I'm just saying,

- 43:47Speaker 2: Yeah, something happening.
- 43:48Speaker 4: People are still going to jail over weed that that
