- 0:01Hello, welcome to he's hot but something's off of me, just Joey
- 0:04tea. How are you doing today?
- 0:06How's it going? There's not a way for you guys
- 0:09to leave a comment on the podcast, but it just felt like,
- 0:12hey, be nice to the just asks, how's everyone doing?
- 0:16I'm so hope you've been enjoying the podcast episode so far.
- 0:19This is episode number four, actually, number five, if you
- 0:23haven't listened to last week's episode, my good friend David
- 0:26was here in LA and we did basically, A doubleheader we
- 0:31started recording and it went on and on and on it will be
- 0:34recorded for a full hour. So last week at decided to split
- 0:38it into two episodes, two, 30-minute episodes, but both
- 0:41were released last week, so if you haven't checked it out, go
- 0:44check that out. Because, yeah, he definitely is
- 0:48the fire of the two of us and I love I just having conversations
- 0:51with them and being able to have them be on the podcast and be
- 0:56himself and we just talking about random stuff.
- 0:58It's been so much fun. And before I move on little
- 1:02housekeeping, I've been trying to get this podcast on to Google
- 1:06podcast, the Google podcast app or like two weeks now.
- 1:10So before I see launch, the very first episode, the first week I
- 1:14was going to like, you know, get it onto Amazon and apple, and
- 1:17Spotify like all the major apps that people listen to podcasts.
- 1:21And every app was fine. Amazon was like, cool, your up.
- 1:26Apple was like, cool, your up Spotify is like, no problem.
- 1:28YouTube is no problem. It's already half the YouTube
- 1:30channel but Google podcast app specifically was like, hmm no
- 1:36not today and it took like weeks somehow to get it up but I just
- 1:41checked again this morning. You can now find this podcast on
- 1:45the Google podcast app. If that is your preferred method
- 1:49for getting podcast we do have a video version of this podcast
- 1:54for those who are watching, but that was still only be available
- 1:57on Spotify and my YouTube channel.
- 1:59Joey tea. But yeah, go check it out.
- 2:02If you are using Google also been thinking about doing a
- 2:06patreon because I would love to be able to release like juicier
- 2:11conversations that would like love to record and share
- 2:15everyone. But because this goes out to
- 2:17like the regular platforms that have like all these guidelines
- 2:20and everything, you know, you post anything on YouTube.
- 2:22For example, if you watch any amount of YouTube videos you
- 2:26here, YouTube content creators talk about being the
- 2:29monetization. Sighs door copywriter, all that
- 2:31kind of stuff is, because anytime you put anything on to
- 2:34YouTube checks to see if the music or the video is part of a
- 2:39copyrighted work somewhere else. So a lot of times music you
- 2:43can't use on a YouTube video, you have to either own the
- 2:46rights to the music or you have to use the license free or like
- 2:51the royalty free music that kind of thing.
- 2:54And there are also certain things you can't really talk
- 2:56about without being demonetized or without Your video with
- 3:00stricted. So the last cruise that I went
- 3:03on in January or February which was like the big harmony cruise
- 3:08with Atlantis because some of the scenes just show like a
- 3:13bunch of nearly naked gay men, dancing and it doesn't look
- 3:17super great. That's why I don't know where
- 3:20like a month after I uploaded. YouTube decided to H restrict
- 3:23one of those videos and then like another month later, the
- 3:27other video was also restricted. I blow to Videos and then the
- 3:31mouth both age-restricted, but not the previous ones.
- 3:33So yeah, YouTube works in mysterious ways and yeah but I
- 3:37would love to be able to talk about certain things in an
- 3:40environment where it's not subject to like the full rules
- 3:44and guidelines of something like YouTube or I'm sure all the
- 3:49other podcast apps have similar types of rules about.
- 3:52You know, things you can and can't talk about because of like
- 3:54the advertisers or whatever. So if you would love to have me
- 3:57do a patreon and give you guys like, Extra gas or drama.
- 4:01I'm not like my life is super interesting but like I would
- 4:03love to do a patreon and be able to, like share more exclusive
- 4:09content with y'all. So, if you want that, just let
- 4:12me know if you're watching this on YouTube, leave a comment.
- 4:16Maybe go to my YouTube to watch this so you can see me, like,
- 4:19talk to myself for like 30 minutes and leave a comment on
- 4:24the YouTube comments for this video, if you would be
- 4:27interested in me doing a patreon.
- 4:29So, So there we go. All right so we just we hope
- 4:33ride this past weekend. The real pride is like a newer
- 4:37thing I think it used to be like La pry.
- 4:39That was for like all of l.a. County which West Hollywood is a
- 4:42part of but somewhere along the way I think like a few years ago
- 4:46we ho had to like do its own special thing so we went a
- 4:50little bit for we hope ride and we're part.
- 4:52Is this coming? We can so they're just a week
- 4:55apart as a lot of pride month is in full swing.
- 4:58Basically once we hit Is all like price.
- 5:00All very gaze over the rainbow colors everywhere but we hope
- 5:04ride was fun. We didn't go balls to the wall
- 5:06super crazy or anything. I just went out on the Sunday
- 5:11during the day, so they closed on Santa Monica Boulevard, which
- 5:14is really cool. Didn't do that last year, for,
- 5:15we hope rise, so a lot like Street vendors, a lot of people
- 5:18just out and about having fun. Now, is really great and we went
- 5:21to a heart on, WE hello, which is just one of the bars along
- 5:27that stretch of Santa Monica Boulevard, where all the bars
- 5:29are Is Hollywood. So this is actually the bar that
- 5:32code owned by Lance Bass of NSYNC Fame for people who don't
- 5:37know in sync, I guess anyone who's like, younger than a
- 5:43millennial Google search. Instinct was a really big boy
- 5:48band back in where they the 90s or the 2000's.
- 5:54I think in sync formed in like the late 90s.
- 5:59So, People who don't know about the boy band, craze back then.
- 6:04Google is your friend but yeah, it's a.
- 6:07It used its co-owned by Lance Bass basically and our friend
- 6:11dance later, I was DJing there at this past Sunday at heart.
- 6:16We ho so we went and you had a really really good time but
- 6:21don't go too crazy coming this weekend for our product that's
- 6:25where I like all of l.a. county is going to be partying pretty
- 6:28hard. I don't know what I'm going to
- 6:31do for that. I don't feel like for people
- 6:34that follow me on my Instagram, on my shows on my YouTube.
- 6:37So, I put out so many like these Party Cruise gig, whose videos
- 6:41people that don't know me in real life, think that I party
- 6:44all the time. Like, I wake up and I go to the
- 6:47party, and then I go to sleep, and I wake up and then I repeat
- 6:52like all day all week, every week, every month, something
- 6:54like that. It's really not like that.
- 6:56I actually don't party like that much.
- 6:58When I'm at home now, I feel like I've got everything else to
- 7:01do at home. Like I'm doing chores.
- 7:04I'm doing errands. I'm going to the gym, I'm
- 7:06working. I'm hanging out with friends.
- 7:07Like all these other things really only when I take a
- 7:10vacation at Travel somewhere, like, get on a plane.
- 7:12That's where I'm like. Okay, I'm on vacation.
- 7:15I'm gonna go have fun. As I'm going to go to at some
- 7:17point be so, yeah, that's basically it.
- 7:21So excited for our pride. Anyways, I have tickets to a
- 7:24pool party. That's all for right now.
- 7:26People just probably like 20 million parties out there for
- 7:29next. Weekend.
- 7:31But yeah, if you are out at the, you're out this Saturday, for La
- 7:37Pride, I've got tickets to a pool party at the end is, so
- 7:41maybe I'll see some of you there.
- 7:44But besides, that, I was in the San Francisco Airport yesterday.
- 7:50It's this is not a Segway. It's just totally random.
- 7:52I just talked about random topics on this podcast,
- 7:55basically, so I'm not looking for a great transition.
- 7:57But anyways, moving on now. Flip to San Francisco yesterday
- 8:01just for like a day trip, just as have an appointment up there.
- 8:04That's all the can of worms. Maybe we'll get into it in a
- 8:06future podcast, but I went up to San Francisco from l.a. flew up
- 8:10during the day spent like I don't know five hours in the
- 8:14city or whatever it might thing. Did my appointment was fine and
- 8:17I was coming back. I was about to fly back from San
- 8:19Francisco to LA, and then it's a little bit weird.
- 8:25I was killing some time at one of the lounges in the airport.
- 8:29And I was like washing my hands or something and someone had
- 8:33like just came in behind me. And I like this guy was peeing
- 8:35and this guy was on his phone and I always find it.
- 8:37So weird when people are using their phones when they're
- 8:41peeing. Sometimes at the gym, I'll see
- 8:43someone like they're going to urinal.
- 8:45And as they walk up there, go not pulled their phones.
- 8:47So they've got like, one hand on the business and the other hand
- 8:51is scrolling through blah blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 8:55I don't know, it's a lot of people do it.
- 8:57So I guess it's like a pretty common thing but I'm thinking
- 8:59like I'm not so bored when I'm peeing for like the 30 seconds
- 9:03that I need to go. But my phone and be like, who's
- 9:07a grinder right now? But I do take out my phone when
- 9:11I'm brushing my teeth. So, when I'm brushing my teeth
- 9:15at night or in the morning, it's a brush for two minutes.
- 9:18I got electric toothbrush, it's got a timer, and it two minutes,
- 9:21and it goes buzz, buzz buzz, and then I'm done.
- 9:24But for the two minutes, I'm brushing my teeth.
- 9:25I find brushing my teeth. So boring that I'm like, on a
- 9:29website, or on Instagram, or on something, I'm scrolling through
- 9:32something as I'm brushing my teeth.
- 9:34And one hand, I'm holding my phone, with the other hand, I'm
- 9:36like, scrolling scrolling scrolling, and I'm, like,
- 9:38drooling into the sink and fresh fresh fresh, until the electric
- 9:41toothbrush tells me, okay. You're two minutes is up now,
- 9:43you can like move on. Your life.
- 9:44But okay, I guess in that way, I can maybe relate to, like people
- 9:47that have to take it to him. But anyways, this guy in the
- 9:50airport lounge. I just finished being in and I
- 9:54was like, washing my hands in the sink and he was out of your
- 9:56nose, but it was coming in already on the phone and like
- 10:01there's no one else in like the bathroom.
- 10:03And he's it was a very quiet bathroom.
- 10:05By the way, like, play some background music in the bathroom
- 10:08because what have like someone's gonna fart like when you do a
- 10:12number two, sometimes bad noise. Is come out and it's like a
- 10:15public bathroom or multiple going to be in there.
- 10:17Like, you as the manager of that venue, you need to play some
- 10:21effing music in that bathroom till I help Mass some of these
- 10:25noises. But like there wasn't really any
- 10:26music playing in that bathroom. Anyways, this guy was on the
- 10:31phone and he was talking and because it was no background
- 10:34movies in was quiet. Like, there's no way I couldn't
- 10:37listen to every word that he was speaking in Crystal Clear, like
- 10:41surround sound, I heard everything and he was talking.
- 10:44It's like a bubble butt. Like have you chosen what your
- 10:47courses yet? But like, it's like the end of
- 10:48the day now and like okay well today's over above a blah and
- 10:52blah blah blah is like Mom's, that's not mom's job.
- 10:55Uh, so I've gathered by now, he's talking to his son or
- 11:00daughter his kid basically about choosing courses probably for
- 11:04like college or something. But that's when you choose
- 11:07courses in college, right? And then biloba and then he's
- 11:09like, well, it's not my fault, and it's not mom's fault and
- 11:13then the I think he says have their past is like, well, we're
- 11:17not trying to blame anyone here and I'm thinking like what you
- 11:19just said it was not knowing, it's not your fault, it's not
- 11:21your wife's fault is like, you're really blaming the kid.
- 11:24You know, you're implying that your the kids, the problem in
- 11:26the next thing. We're not trying to blame
- 11:27anyone. And then a little time later and
- 11:29raises voice like a little bit later.
- 11:32He says, okay, well, no one's yelling, no one's yelling.
- 11:36So I'm just all sorts of rolling my eyes, but I'm thinking like
- 11:39this, like really kind of Juicy. I don't want to get, I think it
- 11:45might be fun to have like Not a baby because I don't want to
- 11:50deal with. Like I don't think I'd be good
- 11:53with like taking care of like a baby, I like a toddler but if
- 11:56Ike it is like going to school like they can't talk.
- 12:00I think that's where I like I could imagine myself.
- 12:03Maybe not like wanting to have a kid.
- 12:06I don't really want kids now but if I you know, had a partner in
- 12:10the future. Maybe we were in like a
- 12:11long-term relationship or we were married and then, you know,
- 12:15he's like well I really want to have kids something.
- 12:17Like okay we can have like an older kid.
- 12:19I think that'd be okay. I think I would find it kind of
- 12:22fun to like help a kid navigate through like school and help
- 12:27them with like homework and like kind of teach them like some
- 12:30life lessons that kind of stuff, but you don't get to that kind
- 12:32of stuff until I don't know, like the tweens tween years,
- 12:38like, 10 12 is on up. That's where like, you know,
- 12:41maybe raising a kid is fun for me, but like, I don't want to, I
- 12:45don't know, change diapers and all that kind of stuff.
- 12:47Tough. But, anyways, we just a very
- 12:48random conversations that are heard of us, like, well, okay,
- 12:50you're kind of telling your kit. That is his fault for not
- 12:55choosing courses, which is true. But it's like you're also
- 12:57anyways, and then you're also saying like you're yelling him,
- 13:00but you also, then you're saying you're not yelling at him but I
- 13:02guess parenting is probably not as easy as it sounds.
- 13:05Anyways, yeah I flew back after that, otherwise be on that
- 13:10conversation. Heard in the urinal is very
- 13:12regular trip but one thing is bugging me right now lately
- 13:16though Is inflation. So obviously inflation has been
- 13:21in the news and less. You've been living under a rock.
- 13:23Everything is very, very pricey. I just went grocery shopping
- 13:27like a couple hours ago after I went to the gym and I also read
- 13:32yesterday that egg prices were coming back down, but eggs are
- 13:36apparently were very expensive and I eat a lot of eggs.
- 13:39I probably on average eat like three eggs a day and egg prices
- 13:44did come down so they were not as expensive as last time.
- 13:47When I bought eggs today, but I was eating to buy coffee beans.
- 13:51I sometimes drink coffee and have a coffee machine at home.
- 13:54It takes whole beans. And usually, a regular bag of
- 13:57beans is like, I don't know, 10 to 15 bucks.
- 14:01Depending we get like the cheaper / nicer ones.
- 14:04You can get really expensive beans obviously, but I was at
- 14:07the Whole Foods today and I was looking at the beans and things
- 14:10are like 20 bucks a bag for beans that are not worth $20.
- 14:16So I was like, I was looking Aunt and my jaw just dropped.
- 14:19So inflation, might not have hit the eggs so hard right now or
- 14:25recently, but it's really hitting coffee, really?
- 14:28Really bad. But anyways.
- 14:30Yeah, so I went to just like a coffee shop to get the beans
- 14:34there, which were nicer being said a refresher anyways, and
- 14:36that was also $20. I was like, okay, you're you
- 14:40don't have a job right now. Joey, you shouldn't spend so
- 14:42much money on little luxuries. I mean, some people People
- 14:47consider coffee to be something they have to have every single
- 14:49day. I don't drink coffee all the
- 14:52time. As you drink coffee, before I go
- 14:54to the gym for like a little extra kick of caffeine.
- 14:58But, you know, I was going to the store was like, okay, unique
- 15:01coffee beans, but don't get pricey coffee beans, but some
- 15:03coffee beans are really pricey and I went then I was like,
- 15:05well, all the beans are like 20 bucks which is like 50% more
- 15:09than they're supposed to be. So inflation is still a thing so
- 15:13that was kind of annoying. The most annoying thing.
- 15:16This is Of the if you don't listen to this podcast you just
- 15:19have to know. I have a lot of opinions about a
- 15:23lot of things which is why I do a podcast.
- 15:25But sometimes I will go on rats. So the most annoying thing I've
- 15:30done recently in the last week or so is talk to car
- 15:34dealerships. I love cars, I love everything
- 15:39about a car. I can talk to someone about cars
- 15:41probably for like days on end. I've got a car now that I own
- 15:45but I've decided, you know what? I Want to like sell the car and
- 15:49pocket the cash because I'm trying to get, you know, like a
- 15:52few kind of side hustles going. I'm actually trying to start my
- 15:55own business, which I'll go into maybe in the future podcast, if
- 15:59I get further along with that and I'm also like, you know, not
- 16:03working right now. I'm not really digging too much
- 16:05in my savings, but I thought, you know what, you know, like
- 16:07trying to start a business. And these side hustles acquire,
- 16:10some amount of money to invest, you know, a front, which is
- 16:12pretty typical for like a new business.
- 16:15And I thought instead of just having Chunk of money sitting in
- 16:18the car that I own. Why don't we just sell the car
- 16:21pocket that cash that I can put into the starting the business
- 16:26and then I can just lease a car, you know, so that I still have
- 16:30something to drive but I did make the payments on it.
- 16:33But then I get the pocket, the cash from that's just sitting in
- 16:35my car right now. So I've been like researching
- 16:39finding out like what car I want and it's hard for car people to
- 16:42actually decide what car they want to buy.
- 16:46It's like it. You're really picky about
- 16:49jewelry or shoes, or clothes, or kitchen appliances, or like
- 16:54washing machines, whatever it is, the more you're like into
- 16:58that thing, and you need to like, buy that thing you're
- 17:02going to be like, super picky about it because you're super
- 17:05into it and no one can help you because you're already like so
- 17:08OCD about like the knowledge or like that thing.
- 17:13So that's where I was but I finally figured out, okay, like
- 17:16it's going to be I'm like these two models and I'm just going to
- 17:19buy whichever one, I can get a better deal on.
- 17:21So I've been talked to a ton kind of car dealerships, and
- 17:24it's so annoying to talk to car dealerships because like, they
- 17:28still do this thing, I can't believe it.
- 17:30Where car dealerships will try to charge you for stuff that is
- 17:33like, vaporware literally. I was talking this one car
- 17:36dealership and it's popular for them to say, oh, we put this
- 17:41like coding quote-unquote on our cars.
- 17:44There's this like security system, quote unquote, Oh,
- 17:47that's on our cars, we put our our cars, we can't take it off,
- 17:50so we have to charge you for it, by the way, first of all, I know
- 17:53for sure that's bullshit. I bought like 10 cars in my life
- 17:56and there's no way a car dealership is going to like,
- 18:01take it onto their own accord to put some special coating onto
- 18:04every single, one of the cars to the, how much effort that would
- 18:06take a bit have like 100 cars on their lot which is actually not
- 18:09a it's actually 100 cars in a lot a decent-sized dealership
- 18:13can easy have at least 100 cars on the lot you think every time
- 18:16they got a car, They would spend hours of their time to put this
- 18:19stupid coating onto the car. No, and most consumers, have no
- 18:23way to know that the coding is not there and dealership.
- 18:27They just like obfuscated and like, hi, all this kind of
- 18:29stuff, but this one dealership. Anyways, I was in the showroom
- 18:32physically there and then we're talking numbers for a car and he
- 18:36said, oh, we have this coating on a car if I 895, but like,
- 18:39we're going to give it to you at Cost.
- 18:41We're not making a profit on it all like, and that's when I just
- 18:44totally soured on this, like dealership this.
- 18:47By the way, I find another dish at that wasn't charging me any
- 18:49shit so I'm just going to go buy from them but like this guy that
- 18:52was trying to like tackled all these charges I just walked by
- 18:55after soon after I just walked out literally in your buying a
- 18:59car and you and your ship is trying to charge your all the
- 19:02extra stuff probably like the strongest thing you can do for
- 19:05negotiating. It's like don't be afraid to
- 19:06just fucking walk out. Yeah.
- 19:08So I didn't end up buying the car from then I've talked to
- 19:10like five car dealerships just to like finding one that has a
- 19:15car. That has the car that I want to
- 19:18start. And we're like the actually talk
- 19:22numbers with me over email or like, over the phone, like some
- 19:26of them, they won't talk numbers with you, unless you go through
- 19:28the showroom. It's like, are we living in like
- 19:311995? Like, it's 2023 like car
- 19:35dealerships. They want your business.
- 19:37They need to like, get with the online way of doing things like
- 19:41you can't expect people to drive like 20 miles to visit your
- 19:45dealership for them to like talk some numbers with you.
- 19:48Like that's totally like not a feasible thing to do these days.
- 19:51Like I feel like Millennials are pretty turned off by that.
- 19:54I guess if your sound to like someone older rather used to
- 19:57always go into a dealership to buy a car that's fine.
- 20:01You can drag a man but like trying to sell the Millennials
- 20:04and increasing like gen Z are probably starting to buy cars
- 20:06and all right I guess everything is done online.
- 20:09There's no reason a dealership. Can't give you the numbers just
- 20:13via an email just like centered over like they're just numbers.
- 20:16It's Like some, like, whatever magic baton that has to be like,
- 20:22hand delivered in person for you to like buy this car or whatever
- 20:25it is. So that was super annoying.
- 20:27I still haven't bought my car yet, but I've been talking to
- 20:30dealerships for, like, two or three weeks now.
- 20:34I've got to like, to dealerships.
- 20:35I talk to someone on the phone. I talked to somebody email.
- 20:39Oh my God. So I still don't have a car yet.
- 20:41But that's, that's the goal that I'm trying to have is get rid of
- 20:45the car that I have now, by the Of the month pocket that cash
- 20:49and I can put it into this business.
- 20:50I'm trying to start because I'm going to need to pump in some
- 20:53cash for that. And I don't want to have to
- 20:55borrow too much money and then I can still have this new car to
- 20:59drop that. I would just pay off in the
- 21:01lease. It's really useful consumer
- 21:03information as if you want to work.
- 21:04If you want more useful, consumer advice from this random
- 21:08podcast, like go to the YouTube channel and put it down in the
- 21:12comments for sure. The last thing I want to talk
- 21:15about today is What we've been talking about to end the
- 21:18podcast, the last couple of weeks which is RuPaul's Drag
- 21:22Race Allstars Aid, or some Stars, 8 comma to David and
- 21:26myself episode 5 just came out and it's the snatch Game of
- 21:31Love. I kind of just wish they did
- 21:33Regular snatch game honestly because I enjoy it so much more.
- 21:37I get the snatch Game of Love Is A variation and, you know,
- 21:42variation is good. You know what to do the same
- 21:44thing over and over again but yeah, me and David Wewe just
- 21:47have preferred just a regular snatch game.
- 21:51The thoughts I have for this week and it's a big one.
- 21:54It was a very exciting episode to watch.
- 21:57Obviously the drama in the workroom.
- 22:00I mean, me and David were talking about our thoughts about
- 22:04this. We're pausing the episode as we
- 22:07were watching it to like basically exchange thoughts.
- 22:10So, most people believe me, David, just putting words in his
- 22:16mouth right now. Believe that candy lied because
- 22:21he didn't outright deny that what candy toad Jimbo was not
- 22:28correct. I feel like there's probably a
- 22:32miscommunication, you know, like candy might have said something
- 22:36when the cameras were off and then Heidi heard it.
- 22:41And then when Heidi told Jimbo, what Kandi said it was probably
- 22:45not exactly the The same as what candy actually said.
- 22:49It's like one clean my say, like, oh, like I'm gonna have to
- 22:51watch out for Jimbo. He's strong competition and then
- 22:55maybe Heidi heard it, like, oh, can he just said he's out to get
- 22:59Jimbo and then when candy actually talk to Jimbo maybe
- 23:02candies, sorry. Maybe Heidi said, oh, like
- 23:06candies gunning for you can. It's going to try to eliminate
- 23:08you and then maybe and however like Jimbo remembers it in his
- 23:11head. So that's like the that's like
- 23:15the me that's my brain just Being the benefit of the doubt
- 23:18when you don't have like the absolute proof.
- 23:21That's usually how I work. But I will agree with David that
- 23:24it's likely that we do the cameras were off.
- 23:29We don't see what happens so there's just something something
- 23:32doesn't add up but like the the person that lost the most in
- 23:37that is Alexis Michelle. Like, honestly, I don't know if
- 23:44he's trying to go for like, The Oscar award or something or like
- 23:51he trying to get like an acting gig after all stars is done or I
- 23:56don't know. Yeah, it was it was it was hard
- 23:59to watch. Kind of.
- 24:00It's like you just said two very different things, and if you can
- 24:04see the gears turning in his head, when the cameras were on
- 24:07him is like, if you don't remember something, the natural
- 24:11inclination is just say, I don't remember exactly what was said.
- 24:15Let another thing. More person out of instinct.
- 24:18Would probably just say that but you can see like, he's not
- 24:21saying anything and he's taking a time, he's thinking like, oh
- 24:24my God, what do I do? What do I do?
- 24:26So that implies to me he probably did remember what was
- 24:30said or his recollection of it and he's trying to think like,
- 24:35how do I one of two things? He's even thinking how do I make
- 24:41this good television? IE the production or to?
- 24:45How do I You know, what's the best move for me?
- 24:48Because this might have an effect on like how Queen's
- 24:51perceive me, depending on what I say.
- 24:54But he basically failed. I like, like he gave up skipper
- 24:57TV, but I don't know if the Queen's are gonna really like
- 25:01view him favorably for that because he's like flopping,
- 25:06right? You know, can Queens trust him
- 25:09in the future, after, you know, like before where, like he kind
- 25:13of threw Darren under the bus. And now you have disliked
- 25:16flip-flop type of a thing. Like is one minute is no than
- 25:19the next, like, five seconds later.
- 25:21It's a, yes. Like it's it's very, very
- 25:24confusing. So that was the drama.
- 25:25But I will say no matter what side of the fence you're on,
- 25:28whether you think Kandi was telling the truth or Heidi like
- 25:30whatever you think it's good TV, like it was it was super juicy.
- 25:35Like I gave gasp like 10 times watching that drama in the
- 25:40workroom. So it's really, really, really
- 25:42fun. The only other note I have is in
- 25:45the untucked The Queen's were talking about About who they
- 25:48thought will be in the bottom. So, Gahanna, unfortunately,
- 25:53what's kind of obviously, one of the bottom Queens just based on
- 25:56the performance. The other queens during the
- 25:59untucked thought that if Heidi had not left by then Heidi would
- 26:04be in the bottle with Kanna. But, Dave, and I were talking
- 26:06about this and just based on what we saw in the episode,
- 26:10whatever made the edit, it kind of felt like Heidi perform at
- 26:16least as good. As Jessica if not a bit better.
- 26:19So, we were just thinking, well, you know, for someone who was
- 26:23actually there, who experienced the whole thing live, maybe
- 26:28Heidi did worse overall but for whatever, you know, made it into
- 26:32the edits for like the viewers to see on TV.
- 26:35I kind of look like you know just got didn't really do worse
- 26:38though. It was like a little confusing
- 26:41but we just basically chalk it up to the edit the other thing
- 26:43Dave. And I talked about was how much
- 26:45is production interfering the air?
- 26:47Anything and it's breaking like the fourth wall, little bit of
- 26:50Television, but my sense is really like want to watch a
- 26:53television show. I just watch it and I'm like,
- 26:56I'm entertained and then when the show's over, okay, I'm like
- 26:59doing something else already. Honestly, I have to look up.
- 27:02Every time I talk about drag race on the podcast, I have to
- 27:06like look up on Wikipedia okay, which cleans have been
- 27:09eliminated, which Queens are still there because I can't keep
- 27:12it in my head. My memory is like that bad.
- 27:16But yeah, I'm very much. Like I don't go and like, do we
- 27:20search and look up like you know all the analysis of the episode
- 27:24afterwards? I don't like listen to like the
- 27:26podcast that are about drag ways, you know, all that kind of
- 27:30stuff so I can I get if I think about it I can't understand it.
- 27:34Yeah. Production is a TV show is
- 27:36produced. Of course their producers.
- 27:37And you know, they need to make good TV and I can see that.
- 27:41Yeah, production is probably put it lightly nudging things here
- 27:45and there to make sure that we get a good.
- 27:47TV show and that's why lots of people watch it, right?
- 27:49But I'm also very happy with the, you know, with the idea of
- 27:53like I'm watching it, I'm able to just kind of let myself be
- 27:57lost in the fantasy. So to speak of, oh, like this
- 28:02queen was voted off because she really was in the bottom or
- 28:05whatever. I'm not trying to second-guess
- 28:07my head, like, oh, production to this.
- 28:09And that's why this queen is here, are like, oh, we didn't
- 28:11see that because, like, a production of habla.
- 28:14So, sometimes, you know, a little bit of ignorance Blessed.
- 28:17But that's how I am with TV and actually watch a lot of TV shows
- 28:22RuPaul's Drag Race among the very few TV shows that actually
- 28:24watch. Yeah.
- 28:25But I'm glad we got that bit of drama.
- 28:28I was loving it. I hope we have more in the
- 28:31future, for sure. Alright, this brings us to the
- 28:33close of another episode of the podcast.
- 28:37When the first episode came out, I ranted, like, on and on, and
- 28:43on, and, to be honest, I probably did in this episode as
- 28:47As well, this is like Joey unfiltered because usually when
- 28:51I record these I don't want to have to do a lot of edits.
- 28:55There may be times where like I had a cough or like I sneeze
- 28:58that you don't get on this podcast.
- 29:00That's where I do like little edit so that you don't see me
- 29:03like blowing my nose off to the side or something like that.
- 29:06But yeah, you know, this is like very minimal edits and you're
- 29:10getting the real admitted it Joey aside from like the
- 29:14coughing and sneezing that happens once in a while.
- 29:16So yeah. Do you ramble a little bit in
- 29:18real life? If I back I'm having a
- 29:22conversation with someone that's different that's like back and
- 29:25forth but if you just like turn on my gone and you just hear a
- 29:28camera on this is what you get. But I am trying to keep these
- 29:32down to about 30 minutes for your sanity and mine.
- 29:36I want these to be kind of lighter weight things and the
- 29:39first episode that came over us like 45 minutes long and my
- 29:43friend Jack, he was like, okay, I'm getting I'm I'm getting like
- 29:47eighty HD 20 minutes in maybe like, you know, keep it a little
- 29:51bit shorter, so I'm aiming for 30 minutes for these ones and
- 29:56also hoping to have David back pretty soon.
- 29:59He might have some travels to Los Angeles later this month.
- 30:04Maybe he won't, who can say. But you know, if he does come
- 30:07back at the beginning, back on the podcast.
- 30:10And I'm also already have a list of people that I want to bring
- 30:13on as guests on this podcast as well.
- 30:16But until next time, Time. Bye.
