- 0:11Speaker 2: seven every weekday on radio record Get a Fellows Smack Moon.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Hello, how's everybody going? I spoke to my brother today
- 0:22Speaker 1: and he's got some mates that he works with that
- 0:26Speaker 1: are huge Big Show fans.
- 0:29Speaker 2: There are they?
- 0:31Speaker 1: He was like, they're fizzing that the Fellows are back
- 0:34Speaker 1: a really yeah today?
- 0:37Speaker 3: How good?
- 0:37Speaker 2: Yeah? Are they crops as well?
- 0:39Speaker 1: Yes, they're dog handlers. Yes, and they listen to the
- 0:43Speaker 1: Big Show all the time apparently, and they sickballs and
- 0:46Speaker 1: they footballs fellas. It's it's interesting that you know, my
- 0:52Speaker 1: family doesn't listen to the show, but.
- 0:54Speaker 2: But your wife does. Only does she does. She's often
- 0:59Speaker 2: takes in the show, begging you.
- 1:01Speaker 1: If she's driving home from work, but she's no longer work,
- 1:06Speaker 1: she's like, whatever, yeah, losers.
- 1:10Speaker 3: For some reason, I had it in my head that
- 1:11Speaker 3: she sits at home listening to the show. No, right, okay.
- 1:14Speaker 2: So it's like when she was driving home from works,
- 1:18Speaker 2: said careful, my wife's driving home from work now.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Yeah yes, Whereas now you were stoked because it's just
- 1:24Speaker 3: no holds barred, you said, and actually you could finally
- 1:27Speaker 3: start speaking the truth.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Weird? How weird is this?
- 1:31Speaker 1: We've been going what a minute and my throat is
- 1:34Speaker 1: already beginning to hear it And that's from the lack
- 1:36Speaker 1: of speaking in my week off.
- 1:39Speaker 3: It is good, though, isn't it like not speaking for
- 1:42Speaker 3: a week?
- 1:43Speaker 1: It's great, it's great, but it's hurting, right. You take
- 1:47Speaker 1: to be more concerned about it. Yeah, okay, where you
- 1:51Speaker 1: go them?
- 1:52Speaker 3: Logie's got handfuls of throat.
- 1:54Speaker 2: I haven't got handfuls. I've got this one because I
- 1:56Speaker 2: forgot my four boxes I've got at home.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Have you still got a throw to shoe?
- 2:00Speaker 2: I've got to throw to shoe? Kids. You can probably
- 2:02Speaker 2: probably said a little bit nasally, yeah, yeah, just a bit,
- 2:06Speaker 2: yeah probably. But I've worked out what it is and
- 2:09Speaker 2: I think I'll be good by the end of the week. Wow. Okay,
- 2:12Speaker 2: so that's good. That's a real positive role, mate, Know
- 2:14Speaker 2: what it is. I've been overdoing the otrovan.
- 2:18Speaker 3: Ah three days max, but I have.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Been to following that. Yeah, but then I was like
- 2:23Speaker 2: last night, just a running nose, but the soreness had gone. Yeah,
- 2:26Speaker 2: I just said a really running nose. But everything else
- 2:28Speaker 2: was feeling good except for that. And then I was like,
- 2:31Speaker 2: I can't be in bed with a running nose or not.
- 2:33Speaker 2: I want a good sleep. Otrevan bang sore throat instantly, Wow, instantly,
- 2:39Speaker 2: sore throat. And there's been so all day to day.
- 2:41Speaker 2: So just got to get off at Jason.
- 2:42Speaker 1: You know, yeah, sure, because is there anything Is there
- 2:45Speaker 1: anything more annoying than lying in bed with someone sniffing?
- 2:50Speaker 2: I can think of a billions so many more.
- 2:54Speaker 1: That's up there for me. What about if someone's sitting
- 2:57Speaker 1: with something and going.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, who was doing in that? My wife hates,
- 3:03Speaker 2: absolutely hates, especially there's a place in your nasal passage
- 3:07Speaker 2: where she goes, blow your nose. But it's like, well
- 3:09Speaker 2: it's not really, it sits back in your head, you
- 3:13Speaker 2: know what I mean. It's just like I think I
- 3:14Speaker 2: can just blow my nose.
- 3:15Speaker 1: You can't.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Easier for me to go.
- 3:19Speaker 1: We hit someone. I don't know whether it was outside
- 3:22Speaker 1: our apartment or next but we never hear anyone out
- 3:26Speaker 1: next door doing the big throaty like he did it
- 3:33Speaker 1: once and it was a really fleamy, meaty bastard, and
- 3:37Speaker 1: my wife and I were in bed and we were
- 3:39Speaker 1: both like going, oh, that's gross, but he did it
- 3:42Speaker 1: like four or five times.
- 3:44Speaker 3: Are not the fund The good thing with that is
- 3:45Speaker 3: you have to get the flem out man, and the
- 3:47Speaker 3: best way is to spit it out.
- 3:48Speaker 2: And the best way to do it is stand out
- 3:50Speaker 2: on the street outside your window.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Honestly, outside Jase's apartment. What's your addressing is the best place.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Number one pilgrimage spot people from all around the world
- 3:59Speaker 2: go outside Joe's.
- 4:01Speaker 3: And I'll tell you what. I either do that or
- 4:03Speaker 3: they have a guard themselves.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Having Speaking of taking, speaking of taking, like not meds,
- 4:10Speaker 1: but stuff that you shouldn't take too many of. I
- 4:14Speaker 1: did that very thing last night, mogie with quickes, with
- 4:18Speaker 1: Quickies lozenges.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Do you get what's it called acid reflux?
- 4:22Speaker 1: I get terrible, Yeah, terrible, six doublings reflux, And and
- 4:28Speaker 1: I was just pounding them last night when we went
- 4:30Speaker 1: to the comedy show, and I was like, I probably
- 4:32Speaker 1: shouldn't have too many.
- 4:33Speaker 3: Of these, were you? Gee?
- 4:34Speaker 2: And then I got home last.
- 4:37Speaker 1: I was I was, and I was getting like stabbing
- 4:40Speaker 1: pains in my kidney.
- 4:43Speaker 3: This has been a week since I've heard this.
- 4:46Speaker 1: And I was like I wonder if it was all
- 4:48Speaker 1: those pound terrible for you. Yeah, and they were not
- 4:52Speaker 1: the chalky sort of ones you normally get, but like
- 4:55Speaker 1: a little cube one.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Yeah, if you want, If anyone have a doesn't, I've
- 5:00Speaker 2: got about.
- 5:01Speaker 3: Four left handfuls of them. What does the rested flux feel.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Like, Bernie, I don't know if.
- 5:11Speaker 4: Get stuck quite high like a burning chune. You know
- 5:17Speaker 4: the ads where you see the cut through of a person,
- 5:19Speaker 4: you know, the diagram of a person, and there's a
- 5:21Speaker 4: beating red throbber in the middle of the.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Yeah, it's pretty nailed it.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Man comes with like a white liquid come and sprays
- 5:30Speaker 3: down there down the throat.
- 5:32Speaker 1: I suffered through that for so.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Long, a fireman, pump and seman.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Yeah, but then I went, what a change, fell massive
- 5:44Speaker 1: acid in my chest all the time, and then gave
- 5:46Speaker 1: uscan that it was a bomb.
- 5:51Speaker 3: So so did you get did you get it from
- 5:56Speaker 3: your ye? Did you get it from and fire woman?
- 5:59Speaker 3: Did you get from the sex dumplings?
- 6:01Speaker 1: No? I get it all the time.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Right, it's just just being what'd you get into your forties? Man?
- 6:08Speaker 1: Gabuskne A is the.
- 6:11Speaker 2: It's right, you reminded me. I used to be scilling
- 6:13Speaker 2: that ship all the time.
- 6:15Speaker 1: All the time from you, Mogi, because you were doing it.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Went I'm going to give that a cray.
- 6:20Speaker 2: It's so good.
- 6:20Speaker 1: That's bloody great.
- 6:21Speaker 2: It's amazing stuff. I haven't had that for a while.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Fucking good couple.
- 6:24Speaker 2: I haven't need it. I mean, yeah, God, we've always
- 6:26Speaker 2: had something to complain about. I didn't want to fuck her.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Now that's good stuff. It was the whole Archy Big
- 6:32Speaker 2: Show week days from four on Radio Hurarchymer the Warky
- 6:38Speaker 2: Big Show podcast. That was the comedy last night great,
- 6:41Speaker 2: really good, really really good, genuinely really good.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Because I was a I was like, God, award ceremony,
- 6:48Speaker 3: long night, the radio awards, fucking bang on and on
- 6:51Speaker 3: and on. This was the second half, which was the awards.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Last there was a musical performance from Two Hearts, very
- 6:58Speaker 3: very good, and then there was like fifteen minutes of
- 7:00Speaker 3: awards and it was done.
- 7:03Speaker 1: It was fantastic because I was thinking the same thing.
- 7:05Speaker 1: I was like, fuck of these awards, bang on for
- 7:09Speaker 1: two halves, Mogie. I'm not a fan of the intermission.
- 7:12Speaker 1: I'm like, just get it fucking done. And but yeah,
- 7:16Speaker 1: two Hearts and then it wasn't even yeah, probably about
- 7:20Speaker 1: ten fifteen.
- 7:20Speaker 3: I was a little bit of fucking around a tiny chat,
- 7:22Speaker 3: but thank fuck for that.
- 7:24Speaker 2: And it was good.
- 7:25Speaker 3: It was really good, really good because it was the
- 7:27Speaker 3: five finalists for the Billy t s Up and Comer Award,
- 7:32Speaker 3: which was quite interesting, and then it was the three.
- 7:35Speaker 3: We're just interesting because it's these people that are just
- 7:37Speaker 3: like on the cusp of becoming probably a household comedian
- 7:40Speaker 3: name in New Zealand, but have been the guy that
- 7:42Speaker 3: won it Big Sandy's who used to book a lot
- 7:45Speaker 3: of gigs for comedians. She was saying, he's been doing
- 7:47Speaker 3: comedy for ten years, right, and he won the up
- 7:48Speaker 3: and Coming Award, right, you know. But she was also
- 7:51Speaker 3: like I saw Hi when he first started, totally different
- 7:52Speaker 3: to now. And the thing I loved about him is
- 7:55Speaker 3: so the judges were there too, and there's a group
- 7:58Speaker 3: of about ten judges. I'd say, Jase, maybe I don't know, yes,
- 8:00Speaker 3: one of whom was Susy Cato, right, mother of the Nation.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Well you know, she certainly raised me and a lot
- 8:05Speaker 3: of other people in my age. And this guy won
- 8:08Speaker 3: the Jilly. This guy went out there and had five
- 8:15Speaker 3: minutes to impress the judges and he did five minutes
- 8:17Speaker 3: solid on eating ass.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Right, and he does not look like was loving it.
- 8:22Speaker 2: She was loving it.
- 8:23Speaker 3: She was like Carpi, Ihua, more of that please? And
- 8:27Speaker 3: he won it. And I was stuck because he made
- 8:29Speaker 3: me laugh the most. It was very funny and he
- 8:31Speaker 3: just would not stop coming back to that same job.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I wonder if I might have seen that guy.
- 8:36Speaker 3: I pick shouted to him because he made me laugh.
- 8:38Speaker 2: On the on the INSS today.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Carreos won the Chreos won the the Fred, the Fred.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Yes he never won that AJS.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Well they didn't. It didn't exist when I was doing
- 8:50Speaker 1: comedy Fred Degg, Well Fred did, but the award didn't.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Right.
- 8:55Speaker 1: I'm just filthy that we never got five.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Grand from the Billy Tea Award.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Yeah, we didn't get Deadly Ship.
- 9:01Speaker 3: What did you get four shillings.
- 9:02Speaker 2: About deadly Ship? Did you get Deadly Ship?
- 9:05Speaker 1: I mean I didn't get my boy. I didn't get
- 9:07Speaker 1: my tail till twenty years later.
- 9:09Speaker 3: And then you didn't give a fuck about it.
- 9:10Speaker 2: And it's a rock.
- 9:12Speaker 1: I was twenty six years like now it's framed in
- 9:16Speaker 1: my lounge full.
- 9:18Speaker 2: I was actually thinking about this the other day, Jason,
- 9:21Speaker 2: what the billy teas things that are framed in your house?
- 9:25Speaker 1: Yes?
- 9:26Speaker 2: And you remember, of course, Casey, there are a few
- 9:28Speaker 2: years ago I got your worries, usually which I have
- 9:30Speaker 2: since lost. Oh gee, so I got you a school card,
- 9:35Speaker 2: a scorecard. Yes, And it occurred to me when I
- 9:38Speaker 2: was lying, lying awake for some reason or another the
- 9:41Speaker 2: other night when we were out at your place for dinner.
- 9:43Speaker 2: I didn't see it on the wall anywhere. No where
- 9:46Speaker 2: is it.
- 9:46Speaker 1: It's in story.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Disgraceful downstairs.
- 9:52Speaker 1: There's a feud in storage. Actually yeah, And can I
- 9:55Speaker 1: just say on that front that was my wife's doing.
- 9:58Speaker 2: I bet it was. I have absolute you, no doubt.
- 10:01Speaker 2: I would hope that you would take a stand, but
- 10:03Speaker 2: I know the power of a wife.
- 10:04Speaker 1: I just went okay, and she's like, where are we
- 10:07Speaker 1: going to put this? And I was like, we can
- 10:08Speaker 1: put it in the back. She's not a scorecard, no,
- 10:11Speaker 1: And I was like, come on, man.
- 10:12Speaker 2: We're fighting the fight. Do you know I had I
- 10:14Speaker 2: had dinner with a mate. Dinner with a mate. That's
- 10:16Speaker 2: not true. I went to a mate's place for fucking
- 10:19Speaker 2: for New Years. I had dinner with a mate and
- 10:22Speaker 2: we're outside even eats of beers, and that it's my
- 10:24Speaker 2: first time having been there. Great mates of mine, both
- 10:27Speaker 2: of them and were sort of look at the house
- 10:30Speaker 2: and we were sleeping in the sleepout. Now in the
- 10:32Speaker 2: sleepout they had sort of like these old rock and
- 10:34Speaker 2: roll posters, and there was a Johnny Cash and a
- 10:35Speaker 2: Bob Marley and a Kurt Cobaine and all these sorts
- 10:38Speaker 2: of things. They had a bit of style, and I
- 10:39Speaker 2: was like, it's really cool what you've done out there.
- 10:40Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, man, it's like, you know, we
- 10:43Speaker 2: just wanted to give it its own sort of style,
- 10:44Speaker 2: you know. Anyway, over the course of the conversation, it
- 10:47Speaker 2: became a parent that his missus had moved into the house.
- 10:50Speaker 2: He was already living there, had slowly been moving. He goes, oh,
- 10:53Speaker 2: you know, this one used to be at the bottom
- 10:55Speaker 2: of stairs, and I loved it there. But missus was like, you.
- 10:57Speaker 3: Know, what to be looks really cool.
- 10:59Speaker 2: And I was like, and he's a little bit younger,
- 11:01Speaker 2: I said, you know what's happened here?
- 11:02Speaker 3: Man?
- 11:03Speaker 2: He's like what I was like, your missus here, who
- 11:06Speaker 2: was sitting there with me and my missus. She doesn't
- 11:09Speaker 2: like any of these being in the house. That's why
- 11:10Speaker 2: it's all now out in the No no, no no.
- 11:13Speaker 2: We decided to be really cool to sit up. And
- 11:15Speaker 2: I said to his missus, tell me I'm wrong. You're
- 11:17Speaker 2: telling me that you haven't deliberately slowly got all of
- 11:20Speaker 2: these things that he absolutely loved out of his house
- 11:22Speaker 2: and put them in the shed. She said, that's one
- 11:24Speaker 2: hundred percent yes, and he was devastating. He thought it
- 11:28Speaker 2: was a decision that they'd made together and had absolutely
- 11:31Speaker 2: nothing to do with about.
- 11:34Speaker 3: And that happens in every single absolutely it does all
- 11:37Speaker 3: my I had gaming posters and I had I think
- 11:39Speaker 3: I talked about I had fridge magnets with old cars
- 11:41Speaker 3: on them, and then I came out and my wife
- 11:43Speaker 3: had put them on my toolbox. She said, oh, those
- 11:46Speaker 3: look cool on your toolbox in the garage. I was like, oh,
- 11:50Speaker 3: I had a cool carb.
- 11:52Speaker 1: When I had the hangman come, I remember that guy
- 11:55Speaker 1: that came and hung my hung up.
- 11:58Speaker 3: All your posters.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Yeah, the hangman.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Why are you still plugging it? We did like an
- 12:03Speaker 3: hours with.
- 12:04Speaker 2: A couple of hours. But yes, it's probably good chair
- 12:08Speaker 2: on that. Yeah, But I mean discovering been stitched.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Where Mogie's got his one makes sense. It's in the
- 12:14Speaker 3: toilet in his office only for guys to look at
- 12:17Speaker 3: if they're standing up peeing, whereas women don't see it
- 12:19Speaker 3: because it's behind them.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Yes, that my wife, my wife, Kevin haven't seen that.
- 12:23Speaker 2: She goes, Oh my god, that will looks so good
- 12:26Speaker 2: in your office, So I know what you're doing.
- 12:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:29Speaker 1: And also on that front, like at our family batch,
- 12:32Speaker 1: my wife's given her father and partner various pieces of art,
- 12:36Speaker 1: photos and stuff like that, always in the spare room
- 12:42Speaker 1: in the main lound. It just always in the spare room,
- 12:44Speaker 1: and you know she's quietly save.
- 12:47Speaker 2: The fun thing to do is to keep on giving
- 12:49Speaker 2: really terrible pieces.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Of where they can put them.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Yeah, you got in your house.
- 12:57Speaker 3: Keysy, Yes. Starting to thing we do now is whenever
- 13:01Speaker 3: we go overseas, we try to bring home a print
- 13:02Speaker 3: or a piece of art. So we've got something from
- 13:05Speaker 3: the Tate Modern in London, and.
- 13:07Speaker 2: We've got another one it must have been Experience.
- 13:10Speaker 1: League.
- 13:11Speaker 3: Another one from a gallery in Croatia that we were
- 13:15Speaker 3: just a print shooting gallery. We can't yeah, shooting gallery. Yeah,
- 13:19Speaker 3: Heroin good to be back. Listen to the Big Show
- 13:23Speaker 3: for the seven week days. Ready
