- 0:05Speaker 2: Is the sponsored Yeah.
- 0:06Speaker 3: It's brought to you by the grim Dark Future of
- 0:08Speaker 3: the forty first millennium is shaking with new releases for
- 0:11Speaker 3: Warhammer forty K. Protect the Imperium from large threats with
- 0:14Speaker 3: the new Imperial Night Destrier, or serve the forces of
- 0:18Speaker 3: chaos with the new Iron Warriors Combat Patrol, and more,
- 0:21Speaker 3: all available at haster Games.
- 0:24Speaker 4: All right, Best question of the week.
- 0:31Speaker 2: There are two questions here.
- 0:32Speaker 4: Okay, I was gonna go with the one that said
- 0:34Speaker 4: who died and made you the boss?
- 0:36Speaker 2: But I know wow, but no, so many people.
- 0:42Speaker 3: There.
- 0:42Speaker 4: There are a couple of related questions here Best Questions
- 0:45Speaker 4: of the Week.
- 0:46Speaker 2: This one came in last month.
- 0:49Speaker 4: You guys have been a big part of Utah culture
- 0:50Speaker 4: for many years, and we're a better place because of you.
- 0:54Speaker 4: Here's my question. Is there something that you guys have
- 0:56Speaker 4: done over the years that you're most proud of? Maybe
- 0:59Speaker 4: the years of donating to the road home segments with
- 1:02Speaker 4: people like Sister Dottie space Elder's Utah Word to the Day,
- 1:05Speaker 4: lots of things I'll always remember fondly, but just want
- 1:07Speaker 4: to know if there's anything you guys are proud of,
- 1:09Speaker 4: and I want to say thank you for everything you
- 1:11Speaker 4: do to make Utah better. That's Eddie and then this
- 1:15Speaker 4: sort of related. Let me congratulate you lords on forty years.
- 1:19Speaker 4: I've been a parasocial friend of yours since twenty two
- 1:22Speaker 4: thousand and eight. My only regret is I didn't find
- 1:25Speaker 4: you earlier. I came to your show after sampling others
- 1:28Speaker 4: like Bob and Tom or whatever that Danger Boys show was.
- 1:32Speaker 4: But needless to say, those shows were garbage and soulless.
- 1:36Speaker 4: So thank you the Lords of Morning Radio. You've always
- 1:40Speaker 4: been there for us. My question is related to the
- 1:42Speaker 4: service you provide through your show. I say this with
- 1:45Speaker 4: complete sincerity. The three of you and your show helped
- 1:49Speaker 4: me come out of the closet. I always made me
- 1:53Speaker 4: feel like I would be okay because you were all
- 1:55Speaker 4: so supportive of the LGBTQ plus community. I come from
- 1:58Speaker 4: a very religious family, knew that I would lose them
- 2:01Speaker 4: if I ever came out, but listening to Gina hope
- 2:04Speaker 4: and pray that her son would be gay in jest
- 2:08Speaker 4: made me feel like somebody out there would be my
- 2:09Speaker 4: family recognizing all the good you've done, What would you
- 2:12Speaker 4: want your legacy to be when you're finally done doing
- 2:15Speaker 4: radio from hell? What do you want to be remembered for?
- 2:18Speaker 4: So those are sort of the same questions. And ultimately,
- 2:21Speaker 4: what do you want to be remembered for? Or what
- 2:23Speaker 4: are you proud of that you've that you've done? I
- 2:31Speaker 4: would you know, I mean one of the things, of course,
- 2:33Speaker 4: the road Home.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Yeah, always, We've We've raised a lot of money for
- 2:37Speaker 1: the Road Home.
- 2:38Speaker 2: That's for sure.
- 2:39Speaker 4: And uh, and I've done the Out of the Darkness
- 2:42Speaker 4: Walk for suicide prevention for for years and years.
- 2:47Speaker 2: And that.
- 2:50Speaker 4: I'm I'm really proud of that. That's it because when
- 2:54Speaker 4: when people I see people that see me there and
- 2:57Speaker 4: then they say, it just means a lot to us
- 2:59Speaker 4: that you come out here every year and do this
- 3:01Speaker 4: and support that. So I'm pretty proud of that. And
- 3:06Speaker 4: then I'm also proud of the fact that I've never
- 3:08Speaker 4: been fired.
- 3:10Speaker 2: No, you have been, well, yeah, technically were you fired?
- 3:14Speaker 4: Yeah? I was technically Yeah, I was technically fired. You
- 3:19Speaker 4: were yeah, because they wanted me to sign a contract
- 3:22Speaker 4: and I said no, if you they said, if you don't,
- 3:25Speaker 4: will fire you. And I said well then, okay, go ahead.
- 3:28Speaker 1: I've been fired quite a few times.
- 3:33Speaker 4: So that's I guess. You know, those are some of
- 3:35Speaker 4: the things. And I'm just I'm I'm am. I proud
- 3:39Speaker 4: of being doing this for forty years. Not not that necessarily,
- 3:43Speaker 4: but apparently we've been able to make some sort of
- 3:47Speaker 4: a connection to people that wanted us to stay in
- 3:51Speaker 4: this position.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:53Speaker 4: I mean, frankly, I probably should have been kicked out
- 3:57Speaker 4: on my ass a long time ago.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Stop it. No, that's not you know, but I mean.
- 4:02Speaker 4: You know, it's like, how long do you think you
- 4:05Speaker 4: can do this? You know, I mean, look at me,
- 4:10Speaker 4: I'm a broken man.
- 4:13Speaker 2: I think all.
- 4:14Speaker 1: The help that we and support that we've given the
- 4:17Speaker 1: LGBTQ plus the community.
- 4:20Speaker 2: I'm kind of I'm kind of proud of that.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Yeah, because we've always said that we've been there for
- 4:26Speaker 1: the underdogs, you know.
- 4:29Speaker 2: So there's that.
- 4:30Speaker 1: I get quite a few people who come up to
- 4:34Speaker 1: me and say that I made it okay two be
- 4:39Speaker 1: married and not have kids. They were getting pressure from everybody,
- 4:44Speaker 1: well you're married, now, you have to have kids.
- 4:46Speaker 2: You are going to have kids someday, aren't you carried?
- 4:48Speaker 4: What?
- 4:52Speaker 1: Uh? And and they've said you kind of open the
- 4:56Speaker 1: door for us and let us know that it was
- 4:57Speaker 1: okay to do that.
- 4:59Speaker 2: So I'll take that.
- 5:03Speaker 4: I'm I'm also I guess it makes me feel proud
- 5:08Speaker 4: when people say I appreciate your thoughtful discussion of things.
- 5:16Speaker 3: You know, I mean, you guys both do a really
- 5:19Speaker 3: good job of treating any topic with a level of
- 5:22Speaker 3: actual humanity to it.
- 5:25Speaker 2: I don't know, Yeah, I mean, I just don't.
- 5:27Speaker 4: It's a whole like the whole LGBTQ thing, and and
- 5:31Speaker 4: I just and the way people treat immigrants now, and
- 5:36Speaker 4: I I just don't. I just don't get it. Yeah,
- 5:41Speaker 4: they're just, They're just. I I believe in basically the
- 5:45Speaker 4: goodness of human beings, but some people just seem to
- 5:49Speaker 4: be soulless.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Well, and most of those people have not met the
- 5:52Speaker 1: people that they hate.
- 5:54Speaker 3: I would agree with that.
- 5:54Speaker 2: They live in a bubble.
- 5:56Speaker 1: You know, they're told this guy's coming to do this
- 5:59Speaker 1: to you. But if I'm remembered for anything, I want
- 6:03Speaker 1: it to be the fact that all of my impressions
- 6:08Speaker 1: are from obscure, obscure, obscure characters, people you've never heard of.
- 6:12Speaker 4: It.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Yeah, like to imitate people. I like people that nobody knows.
- 6:17Speaker 2: You know, it's easy to do the thing.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Yeah, but but I I strive to do impressions of
- 6:23Speaker 1: people that nobody knows.
- 6:24Speaker 3: I mean, you don't have to say the name. But
- 6:26Speaker 3: what's your favorite impression Larry Flint? Okay, well, yeah, I
- 6:30Speaker 3: mean not many people know.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Many people especially they should remember Larry Flint. He was
- 6:35Speaker 1: a First Amendment warrior. But he was a pornographer. He
- 6:39Speaker 1: was a pornographer.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, yeah, I don't know anything about him.
- 6:42Speaker 2: He was a hustler magazine.
- 6:44Speaker 1: I had better hustler magazine.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Idea.
- 6:49Speaker 3: What he talks about really hate me?
- 6:52Speaker 4: He talked like that because he got shot in the
- 6:55Speaker 4: in the back by somebody who did not care for
- 6:59Speaker 4: his what's the name of the movie? That is, the
- 7:02Speaker 4: People Versus Larry Flint, People versus Larry Fint Flint with
- 7:06Speaker 4: math no, no, the other chucklehead Matthew McConaughey.
- 7:10Speaker 1: But the other uh woo, Woody from Cheers.
- 7:17Speaker 2: You know Woody from Cheers. Sure, I'm sure you know.
- 7:21Speaker 3: And then come on, guys, you can't.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Of course, my wife Will will request David Lynch every
- 7:27Speaker 1: now and then.
- 7:28Speaker 2: I like your David Lynch too.
- 7:29Speaker 1: David Lynch is very easy to do. You just shout
- 7:34Speaker 1: like this is good, stretch your vowels and say something dark.
- 7:41Speaker 1: I brought you a human toe. Don't be afraid.
- 7:45Speaker 2: How's the weather? The weather is fine, Woody Haralds. Yeah, hal,
- 7:51Speaker 2: I'm gonna say that I fell a little on the nose.
- 7:53Speaker 4: That was anyway, uh so, But we just went far
- 7:57Speaker 4: afield there. But sorry, it's that's the best question of
- 8:01Speaker 4: the week. And no, it's great and there it's it
- 8:04Speaker 4: is pretty amazing what we did this.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Yeah, no, guy in the chat room, I'm not your
- 8:11Speaker 1: trained monkey. I'm not going to just he's making requests
- 8:14Speaker 1: now for miss Piggy and all of that. Okay, Miss
- 8:20Speaker 1: Piggy is probably the most famous person that I can.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Do an impression?
- 8:23Speaker 4: You know who who was a really great impressionist that
- 8:25Speaker 4: I found I didn't really realize Bill Hayter.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Oh amazing.
- 8:29Speaker 4: I just happen to stumble across a reel of him
- 8:32Speaker 4: on online somewhere.
- 8:33Speaker 2: I don't know why. You know how you do that.
- 8:35Speaker 4: You do is Vincent Price, And I just looked at
- 8:37Speaker 4: me and I went, oh my god, he's good.
- 8:39Speaker 3: His Casey Casem is really good.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Yeah, his Casey Casem is good, all right.
