Nine Brunswick County athletes stunned the nation by winning bronze in basketball at the Special Olympics USA Games in Minneapolis, becoming the first from their county to medal. Competing alongside 70 other North Carolinians who brought home 33 medals across nine sports, they placed third behind Hawaii and Kansas.
