- 0:00So after midnight rebranding, but we have a new set and the
- 0:11news news. I don't like I'm looking at this
- 0:18the shot and I'm thinking there's a lot of white space,
- 0:21but inshallah we're getting. There I don't like this table.
- 0:24Salaam alaikum everyone. I.
- 0:25Said it in season 3. I'm not saying season.
- 0:28Four, yeah, we're changing the table inshallah.
- 0:30We're putting some frames behind us, going to put some shelves.
- 0:34But guys, if you've got sound while they come, everyone
- 0:36welcome back to after. But we're going to change, we're
- 0:39going to change some stuff. So we're looking for ideas,
- 0:42Mohammed. I think we need more price.
- 0:54How you guys doing? Hamdullah man, who could, we
- 0:56said. Yeah, good.
- 0:58This has been the first time we're recording the studio.
- 1:00So for those who are audio listeners, we are in a new
- 1:03studio right now. We've we moved in the end of
- 1:05last year and Hamdullah, we've got the keys to our own place,
- 1:08which is a big step for after Maghrib, small step personally,
- 1:13small step for after big step for.
- 1:15Mankind accent. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:19So, and we're in the process of what's so funny.
- 1:24I just remembered something got to do with the.
- 1:27Studio yeah, so we're in the process of levelling up
- 1:30Inshallah. Lot not coming.
- 1:32Lot planned, but saying it's been a while.
- 1:34It's been what, three months? Two months since I've recorded
- 1:36it's. Been a very long time.
- 1:37November I think was the last one.
- 1:39When I recorded, look, we ended Season 3 with EP1 one 818.
- 1:44I think you last came on in 115 or 16.
- 1:47Yeah. So it's been three months.
- 1:49Good to be, good to be back. Wait, who?
- 1:51Who was what? So 1181118 was me and you and
- 1:56Ted said. 117 was me and Ahmed's picture with me.
- 2:00I still brang him on the podcast.
- 2:02And then we ended up saying, and now we're here.
- 2:05I think the last podcast I was on with was with say, Mustafa
- 2:12because really, or maybe it was that the last one, I don't think
- 2:14maybe it. Was a while ago.
- 2:15Maybe it was after that, I think it was a while.
- 2:17It was probably after that. I'll I'll find out.
- 2:19But regardless, it's good to be back.
- 2:22Happy New Year, everyone. It's probably a long time since
- 2:25the new year since you know when you guys hear this, but 2025 how
- 2:29we feeling? Huge here, huge here for him.
- 2:33Yeah. Sharla So he started off with
- 2:36the amazing event. Yeah, 10 out of 10.
- 2:40Yeah, it was good, Abdullah. Best event.
- 2:42Do you give a 10 out of 10 or you heard it's 10 out of 10?
- 2:45Bro, I think both, isn't it like I thought it was?
- 2:48I thought it was great. And then obviously Hamdullah, we
- 2:50had amazing feedback as well from everyone that attended.
- 2:54Obviously you guys would have had amazing feedback as well.
- 2:56All our guests, Hamdullah, obviously, they seem to also
- 3:00like, you know, really enjoy and like enjoy the other panels as
- 3:04well. That So yeah, Hamdullah, man, I
- 3:06think it went amazing. Yeah, I agree.
- 3:09We had amazing speakers. Thank you so much to them.
- 3:13We had amazing reciters, motivational speakers.
- 3:16We we sold out and Hamdallah with tickets.
- 3:18So we sold 350 tickets. We probably had at least 100 or
- 3:22more on the waiting list, which is so honoring and flattering.
- 3:25Hamdallah. Which is like, I think by the
- 3:27way, it's like an indication, should we inshallah make this an
- 3:31annual? Flagship.
- 3:33They're annual, but. We'll see, I'll see.
- 3:36We'll see why not. It's a lot.
- 3:37It's a lot. Obviously, it's like I've said,
- 3:40in my opinion, the event was amazing.
- 3:42It was so, it was so amazing to see something that we have built
- 3:47now having the losses 2022 to come to fruition and actually
- 3:51materialize in like a visible form when you have your digital
- 3:55community coming together and amazing people who watch the
- 3:58podcast and who were there. And it was really nice.
- 4:01But obviously it took a lot out of us, and not just that.
- 4:03Like our bread and butter is the weekly.
- 4:06Podcast, The weekly podcast, yeah.
- 4:08But you know, what I was was for me.
- 4:10By the way, I think the best moment was meeting people who
- 4:13travelled from wide and far. 100% to me.
- 4:15I was like wow. Yeah.
- 4:17Supply Allah, Mashallah, this. It gave me an indication that I
- 4:20think after Maghrib's on the right track.
- 4:22Yeah, 100, you know, appealing to audiences, not just in the
- 4:27UK, all around the world, and they find benefit in the content
- 4:31that we produce. This is something I think we
- 4:32should continue. But I do want to say one thing
- 4:35and I don't think we said it publicly on the day, so do
- 4:38forgive me. To all our volunteers by the
- 4:40way, my huge huge thank you for helping us making this event a
- 4:44success and their hard work is not on notice.
- 4:47Yeah, they were young as well. They.
- 4:48Were very young and it was amazing how how like how well
- 4:52they were able to do like under that pressure as well.
- 4:54Yeah. Because there's obviously you've
- 4:55got like almost like 304 hundred people coming in at like the
- 4:59same similar time. You know, the car park
- 5:01volunteers, they did amazing. You've got the guys inside
- 5:03watching the guests as well, like backstage, like the
- 5:06volunteers were absolutely phenomenal.
- 5:08They were, yeah, yeah, they were.
- 5:10They were young leaders. They give us hope for, for the
- 5:12generation and to be honest, we we also have to thank everyone
- 5:18who came. I think we did already.
- 5:20But for those of you who came down, thank you so much.
- 5:23We hope you enjoyed it. And for those who didn't come,
- 5:26we if not already by the time this airs, but we're planning to
- 5:30release the footage soon. We have 3 incredible panels.
- 5:34We have 3 reciters and we have alhamdulillah no, we have more
- 5:40than three. We have 4 reciters, we have
- 5:42Khalid, Ahmed said. Hey there Ibrahim Yusuf who was
- 5:47our surprise reciter and we had two amazing power talks.
- 5:50So like Ted talk style discussions which are really
- 5:52cool as well. They'll all be up on YouTube
- 5:54soon, so keep your eyes peeled. I just wanted to echo as well,
- 5:59like the the brothers that that came from, like I think it was
- 6:02there was Denmark, there was Sweden.
- 6:05France. France.
- 6:06There was even one from Poland. That's crazy.
- 6:09I was. Like wow, no way.
- 6:11We had like when I was speaking to the to the father and son
- 6:14from Sweden as well, like they were the the avid like watches
- 6:18of of of after Maghrib and Jumanites, right.
- 6:21And they were they were, they were they were speaking to me
- 6:23about specific episodes and I was in shock.
- 6:25I was like Sweden, like you're you're watching Jumanites like
- 6:29you know, it's yeah Hamdullah, man, it was you know, by.
- 6:32The way this is the scary thing, but sometimes when you interact
- 6:34with people who watch and listen to the podcast or Jumanite show,
- 6:37they can actually actually like mentioned what exactly what you
- 6:41said. So watch.
- 6:44Out what we also launched a few things.
- 6:48So we launched. For those who can't see, I've
- 6:50got this very beautiful, absolutely stunning and gorgeous
- 6:54mug in my hand. Give us.
- 6:56A thermal mug. So thermal mug.
- 6:58So this is a a coffee mug on the front.
- 7:02It has the logo on the back. It says Oh, my father's whenever
- 7:05you drink water, Remember Me yah Hussain.
- 7:08So that's a beautiful mug. These were in high demand.
- 7:11We also have these beautiful notebooks.
- 7:13I see Canelius tube through remembrance review from of
- 7:16course, dot aquamel after muglum logo A5 perfect for work for die
- 7:21rising journaling, you know, for recreational needs.
- 7:24It's something I highly recommend you can check.
- 7:26That you know what the main purpose is that we actually got
- 7:28this mate. There was actually someone many,
- 7:31many months ago was like, you know what, I would love to have
- 7:34a notebook really to write down notes when I listen to Gemma
- 7:37Knights and when I listen to the podcast, and that's where I stem
- 7:40from, I think so much about. Yeah, and we also got hoodies.
- 7:44We've got 3 hoodies on sale and we're going to launch the
- 7:47merchandise page online inshallah.
- 7:48So we have Prince of the Believers, Imam Ali, we have
- 7:52aftermarket, a classic hoodie and we have a 313 Hasten, which
- 7:56is beautiful, Beautiful hoodies. We absolutely love them, don't
- 7:59we say it? We do.
- 8:03They're gorgeous, Mashala they're.
- 8:04Just like the problem is my size sold out on the day of the event
- 8:08so he didn't get. I didn't get to put on.
- 8:12We also also the the section on our website now with blogs.
- 8:16Yes, that's a, that's a very important addition to like
- 8:19Aftermath of as a whole, because we want, we want to have the,
- 8:22that kind of vibe of having participation from the people
- 8:26that watch Aftermath Rib, if they want to write articles, if
- 8:29they want to write like a, A blog, anything that comes to
- 8:33mind for you, anything that you think is important for people to
- 8:35know, anything you're passionate about, make sure that you submit
- 8:38your blogs on our website and obviously it will be reviewed
- 8:41and posted whenever we can. Yeah, absolutely.
- 8:45I think we talked about the blogs.
- 8:46I think we may have made reference to it at the event.
- 8:49And Abdullah, I know we've pretty much finished on the
- 8:52event. The last thing that I would like
- 8:53to say is that it was an amazing conversation or a series of
- 8:58conversations. There are things that I wish we
- 9:00could have done slightly differently, if I'm really
- 9:02honest with you. So on a personal level, in terms
- 9:05of the actual content, I wish we'd made it at least I feel
- 9:07like I wish I made it more clear why we are talking about so many
- 9:11like a variety of things all in one day on on, on, on the
- 9:16without the something you know what we need.
- 9:17But really for those, when you watch it online, the idea is, is
- 9:21we're trying to link the resilience that we need to show
- 9:24as what we need today in the world around us with celebrating
- 9:28their life of middle, what we need and how they tie in
- 9:29together. That's in terms of content for
- 9:31me, in terms of like other things like logistics, there's
- 9:34definitely areas we can improve at Hamdallah.
- 9:36We've had some good feedback from members of the community,
- 9:38from friends and family, and they are areas which inshallah
- 9:42we will definitely bear in mind for the future.
- 9:44This is our first event, so have mercy hot and also go easy
- 9:47inshallah. But definitely inshallah we've
- 9:50taken it all on board and if and when we plan the next event, I
- 9:54think these are all things for us to bear in mind.
- 9:56Sharla, I echo every single word.
- 9:58And I just want to say if they give us for any shortcomings,
- 10:00yeah, on the day, if there were any, do let us know to share
- 10:03your feedback. And I do also want to say that I
- 10:07wish we made some of the segments interactive.
- 10:10With the audience. And I think this is something,
- 10:12inshallah we should consider. I think we were considering it
- 10:15right. We, we.
- 10:16We. We.
- 10:17We were, but to say the truth, we didn't really fight for it.
- 10:21No, no, we set up like I set up find A.
- 10:24Plan, but we didn't push. For it because we I think it was
- 10:26just time, bro and logistically like because it seemed like a
- 10:29cinema, yeah like a handheld mic to get it into the middle of row
- 10:33row J, it's seat #22 and there's no like breaks in the middle of
- 10:36this proper long. So anyway.
- 10:38But I'm the learning for the future, isn't it?
- 10:41Yep. So yeah, what's our plan for
- 10:44this year with the brand as a general?
- 10:47So we talked about merchandise, we talked about blogs and the
- 10:49next event is Charlotte. What else?
- 10:51What's the plan with production? Landing on the moon Moon easy on
- 10:54mosque when you have say the. 1st man on the moon.
- 11:00Imam Ali, have you seen that video?
- 11:02It's in like Lebanon. Like there's a, they just get
- 11:05some random guy on the street and they, and they ask him, no,
- 11:08like you're saying it as satire. There's literally like a video
- 11:11of a guy like they just catch a Lebanese youth like on the on
- 11:15the street. And they asked him like, who's
- 11:16the first person on the moon? And he says Imam Ali Ali Salaam.
- 11:19And he says it like, like he's got no doubt in his mind.
- 11:27Honestly. So yeah, what's the plan with
- 11:28production this year? What?
- 11:30Are you telling me? Come on man, you tell me.
- 11:32You tell me, you said. I'll tell you.
- 11:34I'll spill the beans. Go on.
- 11:36Well, you add to it. OK, I'm sure you don't.
- 11:38I do know. What do you know?
- 11:41You. Didn't spill many beans.
- 11:42Charla is not rumors. I think it's confirmed and it's
- 11:45in the pipeline now. Yeah, there is works going in
- 11:47and we are, God willing, inshallah, starting sisters of
- 11:53the method of podcasts. Absolutely.
- 11:55That's correct indeed. So we want to do a similar style
- 11:58conversation to what we have right now that myself and said
- 12:03Ali has and we have found a couple of sisters who we have.
- 12:09We've seen some of their work in the community.
- 12:11They do some incredible work with youth and we feel that they
- 12:15fit the right boxes. And, you know, those boxes
- 12:18include like working with youth, understanding youth issues,
- 12:21working with communities, understanding the nature of
- 12:24scholars, issues that affect I think, our Western communities.
- 12:29And look like although it's a female podcast, it doesn't mean
- 12:34that this is a male podcast. I have to clarify that firstly.
- 12:37So, you know, you can watch both in Sharma, but it doesn't mean
- 12:40the men can watch the sisters. Yeah.
- 12:42But what I think we also should say is it's a podcast for
- 12:46females discussing all issues rather than females discussing
- 12:49female issues that. Makes sense?
- 12:51So a lot of the time we subconsciously talk about things
- 12:54from the perspective of men and we don't really have.
- 12:58A few more perspective, not just that, you know, also to add, I
- 13:02think one of the important reasons that we said, you know,
- 13:05we have to have a sisters podcast is that guests, there
- 13:07are so much guests who are sisters who can bring so much
- 13:12value to the conversation, but they're more suited for our
- 13:15sisters podcast because we're just a bunch of brothers and not
- 13:18everyone's comfortable. Exactly.
- 13:20Yeah. And also like we, we don't have
- 13:22the network that of course, the sisters that have themselves
- 13:25there are amazing, amazing sisters who have come on our
- 13:27podcast, but there are so many more who would benefit from a
- 13:31more frequent sisters podcast. So I think that's a good idea,
- 13:33inshallah. So guys, if that's something you
- 13:35want to see more of, then let us know or not more of if something
- 13:39you're looking forward to seeing, let us know what you
- 13:41want to hear on that podcast, like ideas that you want to
- 13:43hear, topics, suggestions, and basically how you'd like to see
- 13:48it work. If there's changes that you'd
- 13:50make for that podcast, which would be different to this one,
- 13:53then let us know inshallah. But we also have another
- 13:56production coming. So we have this, we have the
- 13:58sisters one. Recently we had jump our nights
- 14:01which became extinct last year which talk to us.
- 14:06Yeah, obviously we always had a plan to have another show after
- 14:11Jump Our nights, Jump Our Nights.
- 14:12The reason why it ended was that because had a specific purpose
- 14:16and specific objectives and it's meant to be like some sort of
- 14:20like a, like a crash course. So like it wasn't abrupt in my
- 14:25mind, that was planned. That's how it was always
- 14:26supposed to be. Rumours say you got cancelled.
- 14:34Like the whole point of it was it was supposed to be a crash
- 14:36course and something that someone can watch to to learn
- 14:39from beginning to end. And I feel like it kind of
- 14:42achieved the objectives that it was there for like summarize,
- 14:45there's theology, like 3 episode series and and all of that.
- 14:49And it's, it's done. It's there like people can still
- 14:52benefit from it in the future, Inshallah.
- 14:54And and that was John my Knights.
- 14:57But moving forward, the plan is to have like more detailed
- 15:02series where we're like speaking about specific, like philosophy
- 15:07of prayer, for example, or speaking about more like deeper
- 15:12historical topics, like the significance of the Sephora.
- 15:15How do they come about things like that, right?
- 15:17So I feel like this kind of series is going to be a it's
- 15:21gonna have bursts. So it won't be like a weekly
- 15:24thing like Jamar Nights where it was coming out every Friday, but
- 15:27there will be a burst of like 10 episodes about a specific topic
- 15:30in detail, Inshallah. And obviously it's it's not it's
- 15:34it's in like it's in the works for it to be in still a few
- 15:38months. Yeah, it's still a few months
- 15:39away. But yeah, inshallah, that's the
- 15:41plan. I also really wanted to have AQ
- 15:43and a series about Jamar Nights just in case anyone had any
- 15:47further questions because obviously it was my first time
- 15:50ever doing a production like that.
- 15:52So there were a lot of episodes at the beginning specifically
- 15:55where there was a lot of content that there was a lot of concepts
- 15:59that weren't completely explored in the way that I would have
- 16:02liked them to be. So I'm sure that people do have
- 16:03questions. So if if anything we can do like
- 16:07a like AQ and a series, obviously let us know what you
- 16:10think about that in the comments.
- 16:11If you think it's needed, I personally do want to do it.
- 16:14So like, you know, we will try and get your ideas for questions
- 16:19that you think need to be answered about John Knights and
- 16:21we can do that prior to moving on to our next series so that
- 16:24there can be some closure if if someone feels like some things
- 16:27haven't been addressed properly. Charlotte.
- 16:30Yeah. But yeah, that's the plan in it.
- 16:31Obviously, like, you know, I always said, even in my last
- 16:35episode of Jamar Knights that, you know, I'm always going to be
- 16:38here after Maghrib is like it's too part of my life now to, you
- 16:42know, to try and, you know, turn back.
- 16:44So, you know, once you make, you've made the step in you're,
- 16:47you're in like that's that's after Maghrib because once
- 16:49you're in after Maghrib is a is. A beautiful It's a beautiful
- 16:54this. Yeah.
- 16:54You know, we've worked really hard and hopefully we're getting
- 16:58to a point now where the project is independent.
- 17:02When I say that, I don't just mean in terms of like
- 17:04sustainability and financially, which of course is our goal.
- 17:08Also in terms of like autonomy with production.
- 17:11So being able to be autonomous on what we talk about, who comes
- 17:15on the podcast, how we choose to produce a release, footage and
- 17:18content, our styles, the way we adapt and evolve to like trends.
- 17:22These are things that we want to have control over, but at the
- 17:25same time, we consistently seek that like guidance, support,
- 17:29advice from scholars, from friends, from community leaders,
- 17:32and then more than anyone, I think from viewers because you
- 17:35know that that's our guiding light.
- 17:36So like to keep doing these things.
- 17:39So of course you as have heard, we're in a new studio, we've
- 17:42invested in merchandise, we are bringing new team members on
- 17:45board, We're trying to start new productions.
- 17:48All of these things cost money, to be really frank.
- 17:51And because of that, we are seeking support and we're not
- 17:54asking for like massive contributions at the moment.
- 17:57This is just to sustain and allow us to help to grow.
- 18:00And that is through anything you can do.
- 18:02So if you have a brand and you wanna do work with us, get in
- 18:07touch and shout along. We can see how to work together
- 18:09if you are a student or if you are a young professional and
- 18:13you're able to spare a few pounds a month, 510-2050,
- 18:16whatever it is, pounds a month help us grow because that goes
- 18:19into our studio cost, into our production, our, our, our
- 18:23equipment costs. And maybe you're just a generous
- 18:27member of the community and you have a sum of money that you'd
- 18:29like to support us with. It will go a long, long way.
- 18:33Everything, and I'm sure you guys can vouch everything that
- 18:35we make is reinvested since he he goes back into new stuff and
- 18:40just being able to bring more high quality conversations to
- 18:44your screen or your your car speakers or wherever you're.
- 18:48Listening and the whole purpose I think of, you know, trying to
- 18:51be also financially independent. Sharla, we we will reach, we
- 18:56will, we will reach that. And Sharla with the permission
- 18:59of a lost follow at Sharla. But the whole idea is that it's
- 19:01not just to sustain ourselves. Yeah, to produce more high
- 19:04quality content, not just one offs or not just every other
- 19:08week. No, no, there should be like a
- 19:10continuous. Yeah, yeah, we're committed.
- 19:13I know so much. I don't share too much because
- 19:15there's still some hidden plans. We have a lot behind the scenes
- 19:17but there is so much vision like we want to achieve in aftermath
- 19:22and take not just the Muslim media in general, no Shia media.
- 19:25We want to represent the added Bates Alayhi Salaam the way they
- 19:28deserve. We can't do this for free in all
- 19:31honesty. Of course, and there's so many
- 19:33areas that need to be covered, right?
- 19:34When you're, when you're looking at after Maghrib as a, as a
- 19:37general podcast, we have so many different conversations, like
- 19:41ranging from so many different topics, right?
- 19:44And there are like areas that we, we could have, for example,
- 19:48a new show for like for example, we're talking about the sisters
- 19:51podcast. That's something that's been
- 19:52sought off the people want that, right?
- 19:54Yeah. And we're only able to do that
- 19:57with the with the resources to be able to put that in.
- 20:00We can have many more other shows as well that are like
- 20:04covering other areas of of of necessity.
- 20:06Like for example, if if you need a show for like, for example, a
- 20:10financial advice or careers advice, right?
- 20:13There's so many people in our communities that are amazing at
- 20:16being able to kind of give advice on these things and these
- 20:19are areas that aren't covered right And as as the with the.
- 20:23Platform that we have and the people that are already into
- 20:27watching Aftermath, like there's so much more value that we can
- 20:30offer and so much more vision. As you mentioned that Seid,
- 20:33Mustafa and the whole team literally has so much vision,
- 20:37but we just need the resources. So you heard that brothers and
- 20:40sisters, if you support our work and you want to join the
- 20:43journey, head over to aftermath.com/donate and make
- 20:48the intention to contribute on a monthly basis.
- 20:50It will really, really go a long way.
- 20:53And if you can't, you know, make a monthly commitment 1 of
- 20:56donations, no matter how big or how small, or buy some of our
- 21:00merch bodies online, the future will be on the store.
- 21:05Yeah, absolutely. So before we wrap up, I want to
- 21:08talk a bit about the plans for the Aftermarket podcast, our
- 21:12Thursday show and what we have planned.
- 21:15So look, in terms of the coming months, we have, of course,
- 21:19we're, you know, we're fast approaching shot bond, if not
- 21:23already by the time this airs. But we want to talk about how to
- 21:27connect with our last bond to Highland.
- 21:28Yeah, the Bay, the Holy Quran in these coming weeks, especially
- 21:31between now and even fitter and ways in which we can get close
- 21:35to our last. So we have some amazing guests
- 21:37lined up. I know next week's conversation
- 21:39is going to be amazing. We have a great, great guest
- 21:41lined up and I'm looking forward to that.
- 21:44We also want to talk about how to develop that relationship
- 21:48with the Holy Quran between now and the end of Shah Al Maban
- 21:51specifically. Of course, these are the days,
- 21:53the nights that are on. But in terms of production,
- 21:57we've spoken a lot. And I know I've like driven you
- 21:59crazy, say, about how we need to do more research, how we need to
- 22:03bring higher substance, higher quality conversations to
- 22:07people's screens, How us as hosts need to be like 10 out of
- 22:1110. And we both know that we're not
- 22:15at our levels of like peak. Do you know what I mean?
- 22:18At least I feel like I'm much a lot.
- 22:20You're amazing. But I'm saying, no, I'm serious,
- 22:23bro. But like, there's ways in which
- 22:25I know I can improve, for example.
- 22:26And I feel like that would help mould a weekly conversation.
- 22:31Of course you get me. Because we've got so many guests
- 22:33who've got so many talents like different areas of expertise,
- 22:37but we need to help navigate that conversation so.
- 22:40I've said, you know, now you're sharing it for everyone to
- 22:43listen to. I I think something we've been
- 22:45discussing, me and you behind the scenes, that how do we take
- 22:48the quality of conversation up? Yeah.
- 22:50How do we enrich and bring more value into the episodes that we
- 22:53record? Yeah.
- 22:54And I and I think this, this, this comes mainly down to us
- 22:58both. Yeah, you're right, Ahmed.
- 22:59I think we do have to invest in ourselves a little more in terms
- 23:02of how much benefit and research and you know, points that we
- 23:06raise, discussion points that we select, that we think are
- 23:09beneficial for the episode. I think that's a lot.
- 23:12That's a lot of things I need to work on.
- 23:13Myself and guys like we, honest to God, we, we welcome that
- 23:16feedback. So if there's areas where you
- 23:18think said or I can improve as hosts, then let us know because
- 23:22you know, we, we want to be more, we want to be better
- 23:25hosts. Ultimately, you know, I think
- 23:26we've, I hope we've gained a lot of experience and we've improved
- 23:30our hope since the beginning. But like you know when we when
- 23:33we look back on that the 1st 50 episodes, Akbar Akridge hard
- 23:37when I see them. If I go back to the first 10
- 23:40episodes, yeah, yeah, that's not me.
- 23:42Yeah, yeah. But I was like.
- 23:44Changed. Throughout those Mashallah.
- 23:46Like that, I said. Mashallah.
- 23:48I think though, credit to yourselves.
- 23:49I think you guys have done like an amazing job.
- 23:52I think like when you're talking about getting more like getting
- 23:56more depth and more specific in yeah, in the things that you're
- 23:58you're speaking about, that's just kind of like your natural
- 24:02next step along the way. Of course, I feel like what you
- 24:05guys have done already so far, like in in the episodes that
- 24:08have been available have already been very beneficial, have
- 24:12already been very like useful to a lot of the viewers.
- 24:14So I don't think you guys should like beat yourselves up or
- 24:17think. Like no, no, not at all.
- 24:18Not, I mean, like, it's not that, it's, it's the fact that
- 24:21we know we have an audience. If they started listening at the
- 24:24age of, yeah, let's say 20 years old or 19 years old, Yeah, Yeah.
- 24:27By now they're in the mid, early, mid 20s, one hundred.
- 24:30Their lives have changed. Their ambitions have changed.
- 24:32Their experiences have changed, their views on the world, their
- 24:34ideologies have changed. Yeah.
- 24:36Likewise, ours have as well. Yeah.
- 24:38So I think it's only natural for us to continue that journey and
- 24:42level up. And.
- 24:43Bring our audience up as well. Not that they need it, I'm sure.
- 24:47You know, we learn from the people, but the fact that we
- 24:49have like such a plethora of guests that we haven't even had
- 24:52the opportunity to bring on Alanos.
- 24:54Like we have so many people who we are waiting for the right
- 24:59moment to invite on so many comments.
- 25:02Like literally, you guys know the topic list that we have.
- 25:04Yeah, we have like probably 25 topics which we're trying to
- 25:08think how can we discuss between now and the end of Lambaban,
- 25:11which is humanly impossible. We can't.
- 25:13So it's difficult, but you know, we're trying to get there
- 25:16inshallah. And I just want people to know
- 25:17at home that that is our need to to just keep improving feasible
- 25:21in law, no agenda, no, no like hidden intentions, but just to
- 25:25keep improving. Can I just add to that as well
- 25:27as that, I think we decided between ourselves and this is
- 25:30something we will implement in Shah Al Ahmed during the month
- 25:34of Mahatma Safar. If if I really hope everyone is
- 25:37watching and listening to those episodes during those sorrowful
- 25:40months. There was a theme, yes.
- 25:42And we were chasing, you know, because it's easy to come and
- 25:45talk about Imam Hussein every time.
- 25:47It was easy to talk about Karbala and everything, right.
- 25:49But the benefit is we were what we were trying to look for was
- 25:53where was God in those moments, right?
- 25:56Yeah. So the theme was, well, what is
- 25:58the topic of Imam Hussein? And that was a question we tried
- 26:01to ask in every single topic of discussion we had over the two
- 26:05months. And something we and Ahmed had
- 26:07discussed now is that from next week until the end of Ramadan,
- 26:12we're going to go on a journey together.
- 26:15And that journey is finding neness to Allah, Subhanahu
- 26:19Watahala. So inshallah that with every
- 26:22episode that comes out between now and the holy month of
- 26:27Ramadan, until the final week before I eat, let's say,
- 26:33inshallah we have understood God, why we worship him, why
- 26:36he's worthy of worship. You know, there's so much things
- 26:39where as Shia, I'll be honest, we understand that a little bit
- 26:42fully, right? I still believe there are a lot
- 26:46of Shia. We need to get closer to Allah.
- 26:48Yeah, of course, of course. I think if I.
- 26:51Speak about myself, yeah, this is number one.
- 26:53And this is something I've learned on the podcast.
- 26:56And I've always said after Mahreb has like really change
- 26:59wired us. Yes, yeah.
- 27:01And I want everyone to be on that, on that same train.
- 27:03Yeah. I.
- 27:03Agree. Obviously I'm a big advocate for
- 27:05not like not separating like with with Al Bates and of course
- 27:09we if we were to understand Al Bates truly yeah properly the.
- 27:14God is with them everywhere. Yeah, yeah, of course.
- 27:16So yeah, inshallah we increase in our mallif of albeit as well
- 27:20this is as well as Allah. This is why I said when I said,
- 27:23when I said it's easy to speak about Imam Hussein.
- 27:25Yeah, well, it's. Easy to.
- 27:26Speak about Karbala. Yeah, it's difficult to
- 27:28understand and articulate. Yeah, when I lost.
- 27:31Yeah, well, that we emit, we emit God from those
- 27:34conversations. Yeah, to be honest, like we'll
- 27:35talk about the tragedy of our father Abbas, for example.
- 27:38I listen and then we will just keep it as the storyline.
- 27:41And by the way, this was the advice I got from, if you
- 27:43remember an episode we had, it was like, you know what the 10
- 27:46days of Muharram Moon do Aza. Well, the real work starts after
- 27:51Ashura. Have you understanding your
- 27:53faith? You know, there was a video I
- 27:56saw of one of he was speaking in Farsi and he mentioned that
- 28:00there was one of the. Smart how you understand Farsi
- 28:03by the way he. Had he had subtitles?
- 28:06Okay, fair enough. Yeah.
- 28:08My Farsi is not that good yet. Okay, But he, he was mentioning,
- 28:11he was saying that there was a Hadib, there was a speaker that
- 28:14wanted a topic to speak about during Shahramadhan and he went
- 28:17to one of the one of the Maraja at the time, I believe it was
- 28:21Atul Araki Ali al Araki is, is my home.
- 28:25Yeah. And he, he, he went to him and
- 28:27he asked him, he said can you give me a topic that I can speak
- 28:30about during Shahramadhan? And the Majid said to him, speak
- 28:33about Allah. Allah is, is really oppressed on
- 28:36these pulpits. No.
- 28:38God. Very true, that is true.
- 28:40Allah is very oppressed. On these pulpits.
- 28:42No one speaks about him. We talk about every every top
- 28:46Dick and Harry, but we don't talk about God.
- 28:48Do you know what I mean? And we have that tendency,
- 28:50unfortunately, like in our communities to do that, you
- 28:53know, and, and, and credit to our amazing speakers.
- 28:56They do a great job. Yeah, you know, they really do.
- 28:59And we see sometimes some some some of our LMR released their
- 29:03topic list for a month or like, you know, 10 nights in my home.
- 29:07They're really stopping it and like sometimes it's great.
- 29:10My humble opinion on night 8 of you know, harm, I don't want to
- 29:14be hearing about recycling plastic cups.
- 29:17Do you know what I mean? And that is my personal
- 29:18preference. I'm not saying ecology and
- 29:20climate change. That's.
- 29:21Funny, that was actually recycling.
- 29:23Giving an example. I genuinely don't know if that
- 29:25was giving an example however things.
- 29:27Do happen though, however. However, I'm going to be very
- 29:30honest, this is my other opinion.
- 29:31Shaharam Bhavan talk about these issues.
- 29:34Maharam, I don't, I don't think it's relevant.
- 29:36But like this is a month. And we've said before on
- 29:39previous years that community and spirituality are our key
- 29:44focuses. So like we'll talk about the way
- 29:47our community interacts, the dynamics that make up the
- 29:49fabric, the DNA of our community.
- 29:51And then at the same time, we'll talk about the connection with
- 29:53our last point, Ila and developing our relationship with
- 29:56the Holy Quran and Matafa Diahluati Salam.
- 29:58These are things that we we want to focus on.
- 30:01So it will be a good inshallah, a good couple of months and
- 30:04Inshallah Goodyear to come. Pray for us.
- 30:07Yeah, guys, and let us know in the comments what you think.
- 30:09Again, thank you again to our sponsor the Rise.

- 30:26Proud, Shia, proud and our heads held high.
- 30:30Proud of this label, I said. How can we not be proud on the
- 30:34one whom the Kaaba cracked open and the House of God was his
- 30:37cradle. Ali's the Restful and Charlotte.

- 30:50know. I think we can leave on that
- 30:52note, but I would say I want the viewers and listeners to comment
- 30:57and let us know what they feel about the set.
- 31:01It's not finished. It's not entirely.
- 31:02Completely. It's far, far.

- 31:08we're here. And Sharla, you'll see us again
