• 1 00:00:00,000 --> 00:00:02,500 It's still real to me, damn it! 2 00:00:02,500 --> 00:00:13,000 What up, you! 3 00:00:13,000 --> 00:00:17,000 Welcome, everybody! 4 00:00:17,000 --> 00:00:24,500 Welcome to this week's edition of the Sto Realty Show, episode number 782, for February 6, 2025. 5 00:00:25,000 --> 00:00:32,500 Welcome to your WWE Royal Rumble Recap and Review edition of SRTU. 6 00:00:32,500 --> 00:00:38,000 I am on after show, I am Jeff Hack, joined every single week on my course along the dot tray. 7 00:00:38,000 --> 00:00:44,000 Franklin, Dr. Trey, welcome to the road to WrestleMania 41, my friend. 8 00:00:44,000 --> 00:00:51,000 Yeah, a couple of little speed bumps, a little bit of a left turn, but yes, we are on the road. 9 00:00:52,000 --> 00:01:00,000 Hopefully, everybody's tags are up to date, nobody gets pulled over for having expired tags, which I thought was going to happen to me today actually. 10 00:01:00,000 --> 00:01:06,000 Yeah, no, it makes sense, you get your inspections done, as well, I don't want anybody to get in trouble. 11 00:01:06,000 --> 00:01:13,000 We don't have inspections here, if you've got a car, it's got four wheels and it goes, you can go get a tag. 12 00:01:13,000 --> 00:01:16,500 So, wait, do you pay tax on your car in Alabama? 13 00:01:17,500 --> 00:01:32,500 Yeah, so every year when you do the tag, you're going to pay taxes and your tag registration sticker, but like in North Carolina, I'm like, in North Carolina, we had to go get an inspector, had to pass certain standards. 14 00:01:32,500 --> 00:01:37,500 In Alabama, nope, as long as it runs, you can pay your tax and get your tag. 15 00:01:37,500 --> 00:01:39,500 See, I don't know what's better. 16 00:01:39,500 --> 00:01:44,000 I don't know what's better, inspection or paying taxes on a car, but I digress. 17 00:01:44,500 --> 00:01:53,500 I don't want to get off the road to WrestleMania 41, as we just talk about tags and inspection stickers here on SRT, because I'm sure you didn't want to listen. 18 00:01:53,500 --> 00:01:57,000 That is another show. That is DMV cast with Dr. Shrein. 19 00:01:57,000 --> 00:02:00,500 This is the Still Real Thought Show SRTU. 20 00:02:00,500 --> 00:02:02,500 Let's get into it, Dr. Shrein. 21 00:02:02,500 --> 00:02:07,500 The Royal Rumble recap review this past Saturday from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. 22 00:02:08,000 --> 00:02:15,000 The first match of the card was Charlotte Flair winning the Women's Royal Rumble match and receiving a Women's World Championship match at WrestleMania 41. 23 00:02:15,000 --> 00:02:17,000 You and I both had Charlotte winning this one. 24 00:02:17,000 --> 00:02:21,500 Tremendous performance by all 30 women in this one, very entertaining Rumble match. 25 00:02:21,500 --> 00:02:31,500 Alexa Bliss' return was an awesome surprise. I think that's one that you see in the height videos for Royal Rumbles for years and years to come. 26 00:02:32,000 --> 00:02:42,000 It was on edge level, but it was such a nice, pleasant, surprising, shocking surprise that I think it's one that the fans remember going forward. 27 00:02:42,000 --> 00:02:50,000 Roxanne Perez from NXC had an absolute breakout performance. She was in the ring the longs. She set the record for the Women's Royal Rumble for Long's performer. 28 00:02:50,000 --> 00:02:54,500 Very telling and interesting where things go for her now going forward. 29 00:02:55,000 --> 00:03:09,000 Welcome to WWE Jordan Grace, the worst cap secret in the world. Jordan Grace now is with World Wrestling Entertainment. Welcome back, Trish Stratus and Nikki Bella for those wondering if it's a one time appearance for both of those WWE Hall of Famers. 30 00:03:09,000 --> 00:03:15,000 Nikki Bella came out on her podcast this weekend said expect to see her sooner rather than later. 31 00:03:15,500 --> 00:03:25,500 Then lastly, Dr. Tray, as we said to the top of this one, Charlotte reclaims the throne, fun match all around your thoughts as Charlotte Flair wins the Women's Royal Rumble match. 32 00:03:25,500 --> 00:03:40,500 Yeah, one of the better women's Rumbles recently, there wasn't a whole lot, I mean there wasn't any like weird, I think last year there was like some weird spots and some weird dead moments where you're kind of like, ugh, this is getting kind of, it was pretty smooth all the way through it. 33 00:03:41,000 --> 00:03:55,000 It was a good float with the timing was really good. Like who would have thought that like, I mean, you got Alexa Bliss back Trish, Nikki Bella, you know, Roxanne and Jordan from NXT Julie was in there. 34 00:03:55,000 --> 00:04:01,000 Like it was pretty well, it may not have had maybe the star parks, we didn't have a Becky Lynch, we didn't have Oscar. 35 00:04:01,500 --> 00:04:10,500 In fact, we really didn't have other than Eoska, we didn't have anybody else from damage control in the match because of injuries, but really well laid out, really well structured. 36 00:04:10,500 --> 00:04:22,500 I'm still trying to figure out like how far are we pushing Roxanne with this because for her to be in there that long and be in the final two is pretty impressive. 37 00:04:22,500 --> 00:04:26,500 Like are they putting that much bank in the Roxanne Perez character? 38 00:04:27,500 --> 00:04:35,500 You know, there were some moments in there like live, eliminating Alexa Bliss, like how much fun would Alexa Bliss and live Morgan and If You'd Be? 39 00:04:35,500 --> 00:04:51,500 Like that's gonna be really fun. You know, some of the things like that, like this actually had me amped up, like Charlotte winning was kind of expected, but if we get Charlotte in Tiffany and some of these other ones coming out and kind of refresh the women's division, I'm all for it, I thought it was really, really good. 40 00:04:52,000 --> 00:05:05,000 Yeah, it was a very, very fun match. I enjoyed it. I thought it was a great way to kick off the card as well. We will look at the Charlotte flare when a little more in depth here later on in the show, but a very fun start to the Royal Rumble PLA. 41 00:05:05,000 --> 00:05:12,000 Let's get to the next match here at DIY defeating Motor City Machine Guns in a two out of three falls match for the WWE Titan Championship. 42 00:05:12,000 --> 00:05:15,000 I had DIY Dr. Treyade Motor City Machine Guns. 43 00:05:15,500 --> 00:05:24,000 The SmackDown Tag 2 division is starting to look really good heading into WrestleMania season. This match wasn't the show sealer I was hoping it would be, but it was a really solid match. 44 00:05:24,000 --> 00:05:33,500 Street Profits, Causing Motor City Machine Guns, the match so they could take the title some DIY. Is it interesting, a layer to this all? And it's nice to see a tag team division gets them shine lately. 45 00:05:33,500 --> 00:05:44,500 I have been very high on the potential and the ceiling of the SmackDown Tag 2 division. Is it to the 2003, 2006 standard, 2004 standards when the SmackDown 6 was roaming the match. 46 00:05:45,000 --> 00:05:52,500 It's not roaming the tag team division, not quite there yet, but this is an exciting time, Stopped Treyade, DIY retains the WWE Titan Championship. 47 00:05:52,500 --> 00:06:02,000 Yeah, I was mad at myself because I had hyped this match up in my head a lot and when we got the first pin fall really quickly, I was like, damn, it's not going to give as much time as I hoped to. 48 00:06:02,000 --> 00:06:09,000 I will say the fake tag, a great spot, haven't seen that done in probably 20, 30 years. 49 00:06:09,500 --> 00:06:19,500 I mean, late 80s early nights like the last one I saw that done. So really clever spot. You know, the Street Profits kind of going into that tweener mold, like we'll see how they come out of it. 50 00:06:19,500 --> 00:06:27,500 Like are they going to go the Drew McIntyre path when Drew kind of went tweener at first or is it going to be a full fledged heel turn. Where do they go? 51 00:06:27,500 --> 00:06:35,500 Because it's kind of hard for them to be the bad asses, considering they've been the party guys for the last like five, six years. 52 00:06:36,000 --> 00:06:43,000 Beach is where it goes, but yeah, there's a lot of depth on the Smackdown side. So it's going to be like, Ross got to play a little bit of catch up to get to that Smackdown level. 53 00:06:43,000 --> 00:06:53,500 It's not as good as you mentioned the O306, Smackdown 6. I always go back to, you know, NXT 2015, 2016 that timeline. 54 00:06:53,500 --> 00:07:03,500 So not quite there yet, but yeah, there's a lot of depth on that Smackdown tag division with a lot of young talented guys and then just great tag teams that stay tag teams. 55 00:07:04,000 --> 00:07:10,000 Next match here is Cody Rhodes defeating Kevin Owens in a ladder match to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship. 56 00:07:10,000 --> 00:07:23,500 We both had Cody Rhodes in this one, Dr. Trey. Holy shit, what an absolutely great match with gnarly spots, amazing storytelling, great match that captivated my attention as it continuing onwards. 57 00:07:23,500 --> 00:07:29,500 I loved how Cody Rhodes basically snapped during this match, loved the inclusion of Sami Zayn caring for Kevin Owens well. 58 00:07:30,000 --> 00:07:39,000 Well-being as the match went on as well that was really well done. Obviously we saw what happened on Monday night between those two which will touch upon here in the recap. 59 00:07:39,000 --> 00:07:51,500 This was an awesome match. It's obviously very early today. It's February the 6th, but in the early stages of 2025, I think this is a match that hopefully come year end December time frame. 60 00:07:52,000 --> 00:08:05,000 We look back at finally because I thought this was a really, really good match, a different type of ladder match that we're accustomed to, a little bit more brutal, a little bit more violent, great storytelling by the actions done by both men. 61 00:08:05,000 --> 00:08:10,000 This was a fun one and Cody Rhodes retained and won in this ladder match, Dr. Trey. 62 00:08:10,000 --> 00:08:18,000 Yeah, I was going to mention that. That was my big takeaway. This was a whole different style of ladder match than we're accustomed. 63 00:08:18,500 --> 00:08:24,500 One of the things we see the high-flying stuff or it's kind of like, you know, like you go back to Sean and Ray, it was kind of like a technical match. 64 00:08:24,500 --> 00:08:30,500 We've seen those ones. This was like a ladder match for the sake of brutality. He just so happened to have titles on the line. 65 00:08:30,500 --> 00:08:39,500 I'm still trying to figure out where K.O. got busted open. Like it was a weird thing. Like he got rammed in the table and then all of a sudden he turned around and he's bleeding. 66 00:08:39,500 --> 00:08:47,500 I'm like, wait, is it from the table? Because if it's from that table, maybe we should get rid of that new table because people are getting hurt on that table. 67 00:08:48,000 --> 00:08:55,000 But yeah, the Sammy inclusion was great. Cody kind of talking trash a little bit to Sammy, post match. 68 00:08:55,000 --> 00:09:04,000 This is his fault. It's not on me. It's his fault, not mine. Go take care of your boy, all that stuff. 69 00:09:04,000 --> 00:09:11,000 The edgier Cody is kind of, I think, a lot of fans hope for. We love when our heroes get that edge to them. 70 00:09:11,500 --> 00:09:18,500 I think of, you know, in scene it would get serious or when Roman, when he was in his big dog phase, we get serious. We all love that stuff. 71 00:09:18,500 --> 00:09:26,500 We don't like just the super clean cut baby face. We want the baby face that when the chips are in or the chips are down, they can beat some ass. 72 00:09:26,500 --> 00:09:37,000 So just phenomenal matchup, really, really fun. And I mean, as of February 6th, early match of the year candidate. 73 00:09:37,500 --> 00:09:43,500 That's what I'm saying, man. I think this is one that you may discuss come year and right now, or at least I hope so. 74 00:09:43,500 --> 00:09:50,000 You can be, look at that one of both ways. It's like, well, I guess the rest of the year wasn't that good, but no, that's not true at all. 75 00:09:50,000 --> 00:09:56,000 Or hell, yeah, that's awesome. The match from January still sticks out in the mind to people that were like, that was a great match in 2025. 76 00:09:56,000 --> 00:09:58,000 Because I do think that's one of them talk about. 77 00:09:58,000 --> 00:10:06,000 Is this now, is the letter match? If you go back to AEW and what Cody did in this match is now, is, is the letter match a Cody road specialty? 78 00:10:06,500 --> 00:10:13,500 Because those matches with that match with Sammy Guevara was great. And then this match is great. Does that mean Cody's a letter match guy now? 79 00:10:13,500 --> 00:10:24,000 I think so. I think both guys are. I mean, people tend to most friends don't realize like the letter match history that both Kevin Owens and Sammy Zayn had when they were in Ringo Bonner. 80 00:10:24,000 --> 00:10:31,000 I mean, I think Kevin Owens is a letter match guy too. I think you can add Cody road to that list, Dr. Raids. Not just Shawn Michaels and Razer. 81 00:10:31,500 --> 00:10:38,500 I think they, I think it was either, it was either Wade Baird or some of you that kind of mentioned like this was kind of up K.O.s Alley. 82 00:10:38,500 --> 00:10:49,000 So I think they were kind of alluding that this is kind of like a K.O. specialty match in a sense. You know, it's not a, you know, bloodline rules match or you know, you know, certain guys have specials. 83 00:10:49,000 --> 00:10:58,000 But like, you know, certain guys like Randy Orton, you're Randy Orton, the triple H's, I think of hell in the cell, stuff like that, you know, even edge, you know, of course, take her. 84 00:10:58,500 --> 00:11:08,500 Like this now like Cody's athleticism and K.O.s Creativeness. Yeah, I think I think the latter match can be tailored to those guys going forward. 85 00:11:08,500 --> 00:11:22,500 And you know, something's the money that you know, Monday when K.O. is back in the money, the bank or money in the bank ladder matches earlier in his run. Like some of those were great. So yeah, I think this is the, they're specialty matches going forward. 86 00:11:23,500 --> 00:11:32,500 I'll touch upon the K.O.s and Sammy Zane stuff here later on the show is one of my favorite segments of the year has made its return later on in the show. So stay tuned. 87 00:11:32,500 --> 00:11:50,500 K.O. is got a ton of praise post that match on the, the new sites that he was kind of the brain child. A lot of those moments that were taking place in hell and selling. I guess reportedly whenever there was like praise for both guys, like Cody Rhodes wanted to shift a lot of that praise over to K.O. 88 00:11:51,500 --> 00:12:02,500 It was really, really, really well done and a match that I hope we remember to come the end of the year because it was an enjoyable one on a very, very hard and sat card to be an enjoyable match. 89 00:12:02,500 --> 00:12:14,500 Next match here, Dr. Trey is a main event itself. J.Uso winning the man's Royal Rumble match receiving a man's Royal Championship match, a WrestleMania 41. I had CM Punk, Dr. Trey John Cena. 90 00:12:15,500 --> 00:12:31,500 It's quite possibly the biggest upset in Royal Rumble history, the only other result I think that was shocking may have been Shinsuke Nakamura and I believe 2018. J.Uso deserves this and I'm so happy for him you look at the crowd and see a ton of his merch and so executed this now makes a ton of sense. 91 00:12:31,500 --> 00:12:43,500 It was a really fun Rumble match, especially the Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns CM Punk stuff. I say it every time J.Gits in the spotlight but the journey of J.Uso from 2020 to now needs to be a documentary one day. 92 00:12:44,500 --> 00:12:54,500 I think from both Dr. Trey and I being like, what the hell is he doing in this title match against Roman Reigns? I think in September, October, 2020 to the guy has won the Royal Rumble in 2025. 93 00:12:54,500 --> 00:13:04,500 What an unbelievable and organic run he has had. We will certainly dive very deep into this topic here momentarily, but Dr. Trey, your thoughts and takeaways on the men's Royal Rumble match. 94 00:13:04,500 --> 00:13:12,500 I thought it was solid. It wasn't great. It wasn't bad. I thought it was a very solid Rumble. 95 00:13:13,500 --> 00:13:21,500 You read about the Drew McIntyre and the guys frustrations with supposedly LA Nye or whatever. I didn't really notice it all that badly. 96 00:13:21,500 --> 00:13:33,500 When you have such a stacked men's division, there really wasn't either tag team guys getting in there. There were really no special surprises. 97 00:13:33,500 --> 00:13:42,500 So it's a little different from the women's match in the sense of you had the Trish, you had the Return of Alexa, you had Nikki Bell, you had the NXT guys getting called up. 98 00:13:42,500 --> 00:13:50,500 There's no trick Williams. There was really no Joe Hendry was the biggest surprise of the Rumble, which I think we also saw that coming. 99 00:13:50,500 --> 00:14:00,500 But outside of that, it was just an interesting Rumble. I'll put it that way. In my mind, it wasn't great. It wasn't bad. It was just very interesting. 100 00:14:01,500 --> 00:14:17,500 And to me, on paper, maybe if you go off quality of where the character is in the eyes of most fans like Jay's over, but I don't think we put him on that superstar level just yet for most fans. 101 00:14:17,500 --> 00:14:26,500 Maybe the biggest upsets since maybe like to me, Del Rio winning was still a really weak Rumble winner, but just maybe because the depth of the roster of the time. 102 00:14:27,500 --> 00:14:36,500 In Shinsuke was kind of in the same bow, where he was super over the fans and kind of out of left field that he wanted to. But Jay was completely out of left field. 103 00:14:36,500 --> 00:14:44,500 If you were on Fandall and you picked Jay, you had a really great weekend because of the odds on that one, we're still pretty astronomical heading into the weekend. 104 00:14:44,500 --> 00:14:54,500 We will dig deeper into that in just a second. So pay-per-view prediction record coming out of the Rumble. I went three in one, Dr. Shrew in two in two and that is of course the two that is a 25 record right now. 105 00:14:55,500 --> 00:15:05,500 A match of the night and event rating. I'll go first year, Dr. Trey, my match of the night was Cody Rose versus Kevin Owens. I think that's a hard thing to do during the Rumble. 106 00:15:05,500 --> 00:15:15,500 And I really enjoyed this PLA. I know it's only four matches, which you kind of have to grade it at a scale a little bit here. So I really enjoyed the show. I gave it a 4.3 out of 5. 107 00:15:15,500 --> 00:15:22,500 Yeah, I had Cody in KOL, so I was in a 4.1, I think. I love the KO match and the Cody match. 108 00:15:23,500 --> 00:15:34,500 I really liked the original match. The tag match was good, but a little bit of a lead down and the men's Rumble for me was still a little bit of a lead down, but still so I'm at a 4.1. 109 00:15:34,500 --> 00:15:47,500 All right, so let's get into it here. So Jay Uso wins the Royal Rumble. I watched the Rumble on a delay. I watched it the next like early evening. 110 00:15:48,500 --> 00:16:06,500 I watched half of the show on Saturday night, went to bed, watched the rest of it on Sunday night. So I think it was about like three quarters of the way through the show. Actually I was right to the Rumble match itself. Men's Rumble match when I was like, all right, I watched this in full entirety on Sunday night when I have some pre-time. 111 00:16:06,500 --> 00:16:17,500 So I was able to stay away from everything. I did not know who won the Men's Royal Rumble match, which if you're a wrestling fan who watches stuff on delay and you're on social media, that in itself is one of the hardest things to do in the world. 112 00:16:17,500 --> 00:16:38,500 Like Bar None can't do it because something randomly will always pop up. So I watched it in my eyes live in air quotations. Jay Uso won the Rumble and I was like, so overjoyed. I was like, man, this is this is a really interesting choice. I'm shocked by it. I'm pleasantly surprised. 113 00:16:39,500 --> 00:16:57,500 You look out into the crowd and like every one or two and every five fans that you see in the crowd is wearing some sort of Jay Uso merchandise. And they're rocking out. They're doing the eat, and people are just loving it. They're singing the song. I'm like, this makes a ton of sense. I get it. 114 00:16:58,500 --> 00:17:23,500 I'm like, well, digging into some of the creative that's happened with him in recent time in just a second, then I go online like the next day and I see a ton of backlash. Like this is the worst Rumble winner of all time. I can't believe WWE did this. Why didn't they go with CM Punk? Why didn't they go with John Cena? I'm like, man, I guess there's the loud minority, the loud majority of people. They are not happy with Jay Uso winning the Royal Rumble. 115 00:17:24,500 --> 00:17:41,500 I was like shocked by that fast forward Monday night, the reaction he got in Cleveland to me. I was like, all right, I feel like yes, so out of left field, one of the most shocking winners of all time, but the crowd was so behind him. 116 00:17:42,500 --> 00:17:58,500 This is what WWE should have done with the elimination chamber match back in 2019, handing the WrestleMania 35 when people were getting mind Kofi Kingston and they had to completely pivot everything. That's when Kofi Kingston started to break out and people were like, I think I could see in a title match. They did it a little bit earlier. 117 00:17:58,500 --> 00:18:10,500 We'll get to the set out of nights, main event stuff here in just a second because I do think that clouds it a little bit. But I was shocked by the online backlash, Dr. Treyah. I'm a huge fan of Jay Uso. I'm so happy for the guy. 118 00:18:11,500 --> 00:18:32,500 He resonates through the television, has a ton of charisma. He's a guy that has a connection with the fan base. You totally feel for him. If you're a longtime fan like Dr. Treyah and I are, you have remember when he came out and that the running with the paint stuff and Tamiya was their manager and they're doing the champ before they come out and before their music plays. 119 00:18:33,500 --> 00:18:55,500 I would say, oh and here he is 14, 15 years later and he's got 66, 70,000 people doing his yeet champ with him and singing his theme song. Like that is every wrestler's dream. Next time on Raw, I mean great organic moment. The music's playing. It runs a little long. If you're not a fan of the Jay Uso entrance then I totally get it. 120 00:18:56,500 --> 00:19:10,500 He's about to cut his promo and they do one more time and they do an encore and it was awesome. I thought it was a very fun and organic moment. A great way to kick off Monday and I Raw. I was shocked by this, Dr. Treyah. I was surprised by the amount of online backlash. 121 00:19:10,500 --> 00:19:21,500 You've already said a little bit, right? You thought he was out of left field and a shock and surprise. Where did you stand? Now here we are days later coming out of the Royal Rumble match. 122 00:19:22,500 --> 00:19:39,500 Are you in favor of the online backlash that this is a terrible decision, one of the worst choices to win the Rumble match of all time or has the reaction from the crowds when these moments happen at the Rumble at Raw or time to even think about it as a fan yourself. Are you on board with Jay Uso being the Royal Rumble winner? 123 00:19:40,500 --> 00:20:06,500 So I guess it's a weird mix for me like the old school, phantom, he kind of dislikes it. But when you look at WWE as a whole and you kind of pick apart the pecking order, so to speak of the roster, it kind of goes along with what I've been saying for a little while about this show, Monday, and I Raw is not built around the world champion. 124 00:20:07,500 --> 00:20:20,500 The first round is built around Cody Rose. Back down was built around Roman Reigns. In earlier last year, Raw was kind of built around Seth Rones. This show right now, Raw is not built around Gunther. It wasn't built around Damien Priest really either. 125 00:20:20,500 --> 00:20:34,500 So Jay winning it and potentially challenging Gunther makes sense because this is one of those instances where we saw like you know, scene in a rock, did you really need to put a title belt on the line? 126 00:20:35,500 --> 00:20:49,500 This is their way of kind of moving Jay and Gunther to maybe elevate them up even more and put them in that level of the guys that the diehard fans or whoever there was, we're all clamoring for a little punk or a scene or somebody else. 127 00:20:49,500 --> 00:21:00,500 This is their way of kind of elevating those guys into that echelon where they could be on that level of Roman scene of punk rock, you know, all those guys. 128 00:21:01,500 --> 00:21:21,500 I'm in favor of it. I don't know if I will call Jay Uso and Gunther a main event level match. It depends on how the card shakes out and what I'm kind of feeling are bigger matches, but it's good for both those guys because now it's going to put a light on those guys for people to shine. 129 00:21:22,500 --> 00:21:37,500 A lot of ways like you bring up coffee mania really kind of resonates with me with this. It also really reminds me of the yes movement. You know, it's literally one word and the fans just love chanting it, you know, but the organic nature of what we saw Monday night. 130 00:21:37,500 --> 00:21:49,500 I've never seen a crowd champ for an encore for theme song. And there's been some iconic theme songs, but Austin never got that DX never got that the rock never got that. 131 00:21:50,500 --> 00:22:06,500 No, none of them. And the crowd just has is so has so much fun and energy when they're doing it. And it is one of those combinations where we talk about if you feel the joy or the fun that the in ring competitors having it resonates with the audience. 132 00:22:06,500 --> 00:22:16,500 And he is having so much rough fun and he is writing this way of much like coffee did much like Brian Danielson much like Seth did earlier last year with his theme music. 133 00:22:17,500 --> 00:22:30,500 You feel that energy you feel that joy and use one me a part of it and I think they're making the right move. This is you know, he said they're starting like coffee mania starting a little bit early. This is them adjusting course from the yes movement when they missed out on that. 134 00:22:30,500 --> 00:22:40,500 You know, the the rumble win if you know what's eight years ago nine years ago. And they had a course correct on that. This is them recognizing hey. 135 00:22:41,500 --> 00:23:10,500 Yeah, the first thing that we always say is that the booker needs to listen to fans and I think they are listening to fans right now. I mean he is one of the most over people like I said literally one or two out of every lesson fans and a crowd is wearing a yeecher. I mean it is phenomenal. I mean the crowd is behind him. And that's what like money drives a lot of stuff right. That's why Cody got the ball. That's why John Cena got the ball. 136 00:23:10,500 --> 00:23:32,500 Punk gets the ball. Now Jusos getting the ball. What's there's a couple things here. They're so you made a lot of good points and this is going to be shots for today. W but like Jusos is absolutely phenomenal and sound professional wrestler in the ring. But what I think companies like AW have sadly forgotten in recent months and maybe the last year or so is that wrestling is supposed to be fun. 137 00:23:33,500 --> 00:23:58,500 There is something to the entrance like fans want to get behind a good song they want to get behind the entrance they want to feel like they're part of the entrance that's why they sing see him punk steam song that's why they sing Seth wrong steam song and then J Seth and see him punk they when they get the ring they go to work and they do work. And the fans are going behind that there's already connection before that bell ever rings. And that's things that are kind of lost with some of the other companies in the United States right now look at Joe Henry. 138 00:23:58,500 --> 00:24:21,500 I mean Joe Henry is the TNA world champion right now and why did he get there because of a theme song I mean it correlates well with the same stuff with Jusos there's nothing wrong with that where I believe there's a disservice and I don't know right now Dr. Trey if this was done purposely or not I guess let me get this layer out of the way first. 139 00:24:21,500 --> 00:24:32,500 The question of who Jusos should pick we would be shocked if it's anyone other than God third right now right like that's the belief is that it's going to be Jusos versus God third WrestleMania. 140 00:24:32,500 --> 00:24:48,500 Yeah I mean it's the rocky Apollo type so sure it's like I can beat you I'm gonna keep trying to beat you type situation so I agree with you I think there's no way because if you choose Cody Rhodes then looks like okay well he's a was and he's afraid of Gunther this is a guy that said I know I could beat him. 141 00:24:48,500 --> 00:25:05,500 Ten days ago on Monday night Raw heading to the rumble the Saturday nights main event match you and I were critical of try to take a positive spin on look at the no way no way out 2004 Eddie grow out type stuff to be like hey do you think they could do this. 142 00:25:05,500 --> 00:25:17,500 We've talked about this over the last couple months where it's like they cannot keep having Jusos lose these world title matches or these championship matches because he is so over because it's going to kill any momentum. 143 00:25:17,500 --> 00:25:34,500 And he momentum that he has and that was the spot that they were running into with J I mean he's lost multiple times to Gunther he loses the inner condom championship thanks to help from the bloodlines well finally wins the inner condom championship prior to that obviously but even then that was a struggle where it was a very similar approach to the world 144 00:25:34,500 --> 00:25:52,500 championship like he can't keep losing like this guy is super over if they keep letting him lose he's going to lose all momentum they did the Saturday nights main event he loses to Gunther and then that show in between for you and I I mean we were sitting here I was thinking about this the other day I had 145 00:25:52,500 --> 00:26:05,500 and Jusos as someone that could win but they were like on the fringe you were flat out like did not think Jusos could win right now like you we round that round on the list and it was to me. 146 00:26:05,500 --> 00:26:18,500 This was in early like it be old school fan of me thinks that the rumble winner should be somebody that is already kind of a main event level player and not some of your trying to get on the main event. 147 00:26:18,500 --> 00:26:32,500 Yeah that's why I didn't I didn't have Sammy or Jay in my list of guys who I thought could win the rumble see it's funny you said because I think I disagree with you because the Royal Rumble has catapulted a lot of people like 95 at catapulted hbk right. 148 00:26:32,500 --> 00:26:47,500 Yeah but you can see Sean was on that like you can see when guys get hot and they're on the rise and I think what happened was the Saturday night main event match like I'm like how can you turn around and have that same match again. 149 00:26:47,500 --> 00:27:16,500 You know just a couple months later that's why it took Jay off my list like if if that match doesn't happen maybe I have Jay on a different plateau but really like Jay he's over with the fans but I mean maybe and maybe I just kind of that when you had earlier in January over Drew McIntyre and I discounted a couple of those things because I just kind of felt like they were booking him kind of fluke like he would have these big moments but then he's losing the bronze break. 150 00:27:16,500 --> 00:27:30,500 Because the bloodline they lost the brawm breaker you know he was in good spots but he wasn't really getting the big wins like the win over Drew was a roll up at him getting out of the ring really quickly to where he doesn't get beat up. 151 00:27:30,500 --> 00:27:45,500 It wasn't like these were like big baby face wins and it's a little bit eerily consumers like we always joke about like when guys win money in the bank and their baby face and they get that first time title push and they're basically winning matches kind of like whether it was Jeff Hardy or Daniel Bryan. 152 00:27:45,500 --> 00:27:48,500 Or even see him punks for a long while. 153 00:27:48,500 --> 00:28:07,500 Where they're not booked very strong but they keep escaping with wins that was kind of how they've been pushing Jay in a lot of ways like he's great the ring but his wins are not are like clean big solid victories are kind of like oh he school boy Drew McIntyre or he kind of you know he beat 154 00:28:07,500 --> 00:28:29,500 Braun breaker but it's they weren't like or he beat Braun breaker but then loses the belt back a week or two later I mean they're not this is not the Daniel Bryan to run up this is not the Shawn Michaels run up these are not even Austin's first rumble win these are not like you can see the momentum building because they're getting wins they're getting wins they're getting wins and there's the momentum. 155 00:28:29,500 --> 00:28:36,500 This was kind of like you know that flukeish Ray winning the rumble after he died. 156 00:28:36,500 --> 00:29:05,500 He's missing a signature feud I think yeah right like what is this signature J.U. so match so that's why you understand the skeptics that are like he's nothing more than an entrance which I disagree with because J is a phenomenal wrestler yes but even then like you go okay he's got the splashes is finisher like it doesn't he doesn't have the cool finisher like an Austin or an HBK where there's a build up to it or even like Drew McIntyre the Claymore there's no big build up to 157 00:29:05,500 --> 00:29:12,500 it's not a cool move it's just a big splash that we've seen for 40 years and super fly snooker started doing it. 158 00:29:12,500 --> 00:29:28,500 He doesn't have that big signature win I mean you can say it's brawn but by taking the belt back off him so quickly you kind of lose that a little bit so he doesn't have that big like you know that big signature win or that big signature rivalry 159 00:29:28,500 --> 00:29:57,500 even the stuff when you know when he first came to raw and and Drew was bitching about Cody using his influence there was no big feud out of that where you're like man like he is just killing he just doesn't he's missing that aspect to it right now and I think that's why people are like oh it's just it's just the music is just the eat is just this at least Daniel Bryan had the rivalry with the authority heading into rumble season and he's just a little bit more than that. 160 00:29:57,500 --> 00:29:59,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 161 00:29:59,500 --> 00:30:01,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 162 00:30:01,500 --> 00:30:03,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 163 00:30:03,500 --> 00:30:05,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 164 00:30:05,500 --> 00:30:07,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 165 00:30:07,500 --> 00:30:09,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 166 00:30:09,500 --> 00:30:11,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 167 00:30:11,500 --> 00:30:13,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 168 00:30:13,500 --> 00:30:15,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 169 00:30:15,500 --> 00:30:17,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 170 00:30:17,500 --> 00:30:19,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 171 00:30:19,500 --> 00:30:21,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 172 00:30:21,500 --> 00:30:23,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 173 00:30:23,500 --> 00:30:27,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 174 00:30:27,500 --> 00:30:29,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 175 00:30:29,500 --> 00:30:31,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 176 00:30:31,500 --> 00:30:33,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 177 00:30:33,500 --> 00:30:35,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 178 00:30:35,500 --> 00:30:37,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 179 00:30:37,500 --> 00:30:39,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 180 00:30:39,500 --> 00:30:41,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 181 00:30:41,500 --> 00:30:43,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 182 00:30:43,500 --> 00:30:45,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 183 00:30:45,500 --> 00:30:47,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 184 00:30:47,500 --> 00:30:49,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 185 00:30:49,500 --> 00:30:51,500 He's just a little bit more than that. 186 00:30:51,500 --> 00:30:54,500 Bookers didn't adjust to what the crowd wanted. 187 00:30:54,500 --> 00:30:55,500 You bet you think the crowd wanted J.U. 188 00:30:55,500 --> 00:31:00,500 So to win on Sunday or Saturday night because I mean they did after he won. 189 00:31:00,500 --> 00:31:04,500 But I mean I think you make a case that people would have been fine with Sina. 190 00:31:04,500 --> 00:31:06,500 People would have been fine with Punk. 191 00:31:06,500 --> 00:31:12,500 People probably would have been fine with Big Drew, Seth, Roman Reigns. 192 00:31:12,500 --> 00:31:18,500 I think the booking, I think in a sense, it's almost like a reverse booking yourself into a corner. 193 00:31:18,500 --> 00:31:22,500 We always talk about like they kind of booked themselves into a situation here they don't know how to get out of. 194 00:31:22,500 --> 00:31:25,500 I think with this they looked at the landscape of it. 195 00:31:25,500 --> 00:31:29,500 Hey we could have Punk and Roman, Punk and Reigns or all three of them together. 196 00:31:29,500 --> 00:31:31,500 That's a match, a fine match on its own. 197 00:31:31,500 --> 00:31:33,500 We could put Sina with anybody. 198 00:31:33,500 --> 00:31:35,500 That's a solid match on its own. 199 00:31:35,500 --> 00:31:38,500 We could put Drew with anybody, solid match, Sami and Kev. 200 00:31:38,500 --> 00:31:44,500 All the other top guys, they don't need a rumble win. 201 00:31:44,500 --> 00:31:52,500 Where something like this where the raw title maybe has lost a little luster and a guy on the rise like a J. 202 00:31:52,500 --> 00:31:54,500 They can book the book. 203 00:31:54,500 --> 00:32:04,500 Like the booking of J and Gunther previously in a sense allowed this to make sense of J trying to overcome that final obstacle. 204 00:32:04,500 --> 00:32:08,500 Because that's one thing I always harp on is baby faces. 205 00:32:08,500 --> 00:32:11,500 Baby faces need big obstacles to overcome. 206 00:32:11,500 --> 00:32:14,500 Gunther is J's big obstacle right now. 207 00:32:14,500 --> 00:32:22,500 I think the booking of J leading up to this and the booking of Gunther leading to this leaves a little bit of apathy in people's minds. 208 00:32:22,500 --> 00:32:23,500 We're happy J1. 209 00:32:23,500 --> 00:32:33,500 I don't think that anybody was clamoring for a J win because in their minds he wasn't even expected to win. 210 00:32:33,500 --> 00:32:39,500 Top six choices, J wasn't probably in there for most of the people's top six. 211 00:32:39,500 --> 00:32:42,500 So you're looking at number seven, number eight or number nine winning. 212 00:32:42,500 --> 00:32:45,500 It's kind of like with a wild card team wins a Super Bowl. 213 00:32:45,500 --> 00:32:49,500 You're like, oh, I didn't see that coming but it was pretty cool that it happened. 214 00:32:49,500 --> 00:32:52,500 That's kind of how I feel about J's win right now. 215 00:32:52,500 --> 00:32:57,500 So let's wrap this up because I want to talk about Charlotte Flair as well in her victory. 216 00:32:57,500 --> 00:33:00,500 Five days, six days. 217 00:33:00,500 --> 00:33:01,500 Think about this Dr. Trey. 218 00:33:01,500 --> 00:33:04,500 Where do you stand on the booking of J. 219 00:33:04,500 --> 00:33:08,500 So when in the Royal Rumble right now? 220 00:33:08,500 --> 00:33:09,500 I'm okay with it. 221 00:33:09,500 --> 00:33:13,500 Like I said, it came down to me kind of looking to the landscape and looking at the top guys. 222 00:33:13,500 --> 00:33:17,500 You can put all these top guys in other matches and they're set. 223 00:33:17,500 --> 00:33:18,500 They don't need a title on the line. 224 00:33:18,500 --> 00:33:20,500 They don't need the big win. 225 00:33:20,500 --> 00:33:31,500 I think everybody else that we've talked about winning the Rumble are already establishing good spots where Gunther and J both need a big WrestleMania showcase match. 226 00:33:31,500 --> 00:33:38,500 The downside of this is, and this is something I just thought of as I was talking about this, if Gunther loses another title at WrestleMania, 227 00:33:38,500 --> 00:33:43,500 does that now diminish what you've built up in Gunther over the past four years? 228 00:33:43,500 --> 00:33:44,500 I don't know. 229 00:33:44,500 --> 00:33:52,500 I don't know how it goes, but I think it makes sense to put both these guys in a featured spot for the World title. 230 00:33:52,500 --> 00:33:55,500 And there's a lot of it. 231 00:33:55,500 --> 00:34:02,500 Do Daniel Bryan and Shayne was all the way along and got 18 seconds, but that was kind of the same run up for that match? 232 00:34:02,500 --> 00:34:05,500 It's going to be interesting because J. 233 00:34:05,500 --> 00:34:09,500 Usos booking has been on Orthodox and it has been on Orthodox so far. 234 00:34:09,500 --> 00:34:14,500 So now we see if it continues to be on Orthodox where we're handing in the WrestleMania, we're like, we like the build. 235 00:34:14,500 --> 00:34:16,500 We're excited that J. 236 00:34:16,500 --> 00:34:17,500 Usos decision was the right call. 237 00:34:17,500 --> 00:34:24,500 Or if we feel a little bit too uncomfortable as fans and we're like, man, I really never got behind this entire thing if they did. 238 00:34:24,500 --> 00:34:26,500 Coming out of the Royal Rumble with J. 239 00:34:26,500 --> 00:34:27,500 Usos win the Rumble match. 240 00:34:27,500 --> 00:34:28,500 I certainly hope we do. 241 00:34:28,500 --> 00:34:30,500 I'm very happy for J. 242 00:34:30,500 --> 00:34:31,500 Usos, I think he totally deserves this. 243 00:34:31,500 --> 00:34:35,500 It's just some of the stuff that led up to this was confusing. 244 00:34:35,500 --> 00:34:44,500 And I think it's earlier to the point that I made where I just have felt like maybe WWE Creative did not envision that this was the direction they were going to go with the J. 245 00:34:44,500 --> 00:34:46,500 Usos character heading into WrestleMania 41. 246 00:34:46,500 --> 00:34:50,500 On the opposite side of this all-dotry, Charlotte Flair wins the Royal Rumble. 247 00:34:50,500 --> 00:34:54,500 You and I both correctly predict Charlotte Flair to win the Royal Rumble. 248 00:34:54,500 --> 00:35:05,500 She comes out Monday night Raw following the Rumble victory, Cleveland Ohio and she's trying to pull a babyface promo and she is getting booed. 249 00:35:05,500 --> 00:35:07,500 Boode, booed, booed. 250 00:35:07,500 --> 00:35:11,500 And she's trying to save it and it was like, oh man, this was not the direction. 251 00:35:11,500 --> 00:35:15,500 And that online backlash, I suspect it was going to happen. 252 00:35:15,500 --> 00:35:17,500 I'm Charlotte Flair winning. 253 00:35:17,500 --> 00:35:27,500 I'm a Charlotte fan, but again, even though she's been gone for 13 months, people probably figured, I don't want to see this again. 254 00:35:27,500 --> 00:35:32,500 She was always on top, but here she is coming out their kind of bigface promo on Tuesday's NXT. 255 00:35:32,500 --> 00:35:37,500 It was kind of dabble a little bit more in a hybrid of a heel and a babyface in a way. 256 00:35:37,500 --> 00:35:41,500 I feel like this direction of Charlotte Flair is going to leave the babyface. 257 00:35:41,500 --> 00:35:45,500 This is going to be very reminiscent of last year with Cody Rock, Seth Roman stuff. 258 00:35:45,500 --> 00:35:56,500 The fans are going to hijack Charlotte's character development to more on the heel side and push the babyface that she eventually will be taking on to be a babyface. 259 00:35:56,500 --> 00:36:03,500 Because I necessarily don't think Charlotte is going to be facing someone that is currently considered a babyface at WrestleMania. 260 00:36:03,500 --> 00:36:12,500 Dr. Tray, were you surprised by the crowd reaction to Charlotte Flair's Royal Rumble win and the promo she attempted to cut on Monday's Monday Night Raw? 261 00:36:12,500 --> 00:36:18,500 No, I wasn't surprised. This is the sense of hypocrisy of wrestling fans. 262 00:36:18,500 --> 00:36:23,500 They're upset because the person that nobody expects it to win a Rumble won a Rumble. 263 00:36:23,500 --> 00:36:28,500 But they're also upset because the person that everybody expects it to win the Rumble won the Rumble. 264 00:36:28,500 --> 00:36:32,500 How do you fix that dichotomy? It's crazy to me. 265 00:36:32,500 --> 00:36:44,500 I wasn't surprised because why? Charlotte Flair, as she may be a wonderful person behind the scenes, her character for all these years is just unlikable. 266 00:36:44,500 --> 00:36:54,500 She's made to be a heel. Why they would try to transition her into babyface in times as always, because she's not a good babyface. 267 00:36:54,500 --> 00:37:09,500 Even when she has been a babyface, her promise come off as arrogant and snarky. How do you relate to somebody who's genetically superior and a legacy and treat them like the underdog? 268 00:37:09,500 --> 00:37:15,500 The only time she's really an underdog is that she's up against somebody who's physically more imposing than her. 269 00:37:15,500 --> 00:37:22,500 There's only a couple of people in the business that she would be in that category against. 270 00:37:22,500 --> 00:37:28,500 I'm not surprised at the backlash. She is a 14-time women's heavyweight champion. 271 00:37:28,500 --> 00:37:32,500 We've seen it literally Monday night when Ria comes out there. 272 00:37:32,500 --> 00:37:42,500 I'm like, "Well, yeah, we've seen this. I wrestle me in twice." Why would anybody be clamoring for the rubber match between these two? It's been done. 273 00:37:42,500 --> 00:37:56,500 If you're trying to get her over as a babyface, why bring Ria out? You're bringing out the most over babyface there is in wrestling that's not J.O. 274 00:37:56,500 --> 00:38:02,500 You're splitting hairs there and you're putting somebody that you're trying to build up as a babyface in there. 275 00:38:02,500 --> 00:38:12,500 I can make a lot of sense in that setting, but I get what they're trying to do. This is what they do. You wrestle me as a season. I can pick you. I can pick you. I can pick anybody. 276 00:38:12,500 --> 00:38:20,500 It just didn't feel like a natural babyface, babyface. Ria is saying, "Look, I respect you, but you don't respect me and I'll beat it out of you." 277 00:38:20,500 --> 00:38:24,500 That's not going to get swallowed over as a babyface. It just gets ria over more. 278 00:38:24,500 --> 00:38:36,500 I didn't really understand the statement. At least on Tuesday night, they kind of saved it because they teased it kind of being more of a tweener in a sense, but like I said earlier, she just comes off so unlikable. 279 00:38:36,500 --> 00:38:47,500 I don't know. It's always felt like with Charlotte. Not that she's going through the bosom she doesn't care, but it's also because it's always felt like it's come so easy to her. 280 00:38:47,500 --> 00:38:55,500 We've never seen any depth to the character other than what we've seen since the BFF days in NXT. 281 00:38:55,500 --> 00:39:03,500 That was the only time that she really took a back seat. She was the third person in a stable with some array in Sasha Banks. 282 00:39:03,500 --> 00:39:13,500 I thought that she was coming back as a heel because the promote that has been running, especially on the SmackDown heading in the rumble, was she was the top girl. 283 00:39:13,500 --> 00:39:25,500 She lives a lavish lifestyle. She's the best in the business. A babyface doesn't say those type of things. They're not like, "I'm the top guy. I'm private jets." 284 00:39:25,500 --> 00:39:39,500 So, you know, suits and stuff like that. I just thought it did not come off as someone who was like working their tail off because whenever a heel goes away, at that time she was working babyface. 285 00:39:39,500 --> 00:39:53,500 But some of that I guess could be perceived as a heel because I think she works so much better as a heel. Then as a babyface, we'll start off with a flare like if you want to get the babyface pop heading into the rumble, then you've got to run like 2001, 2002 triple H hype videos. 286 00:39:53,500 --> 00:40:05,500 Coming back for the tour in Kaj Hwadra-Sept. You got to play a little My Sacrifice from Creed as you hype back. Charlotte Flair returning because that injury was devastating and it was terrible. 287 00:40:05,500 --> 00:40:14,500 It was awful that she was off of television for all of 2004, about 24. I mean, she was injured in one of, if not the last show, or SmackDown in 2023. 288 00:40:14,500 --> 00:40:25,500 We didn't see her for an entire calendar year and her first time back is February 1st of 2025, like late December to February 1st is. That's a huge play and I'm shocked that they did not go off on that. 289 00:40:25,500 --> 00:40:33,500 So, to get the reaction which, you know, I'll give credit where it's due. Maybe that's what WWE was hoping for. Was that type of reaction or even Charlotte was hoping for? 290 00:40:33,500 --> 00:40:49,500 They did not expect her to get a babyface reaction because of the vignettes that played leading back to the return of Charlotte Flair. If you want people to cheer you on and get behind the injury angle, then you start ramping that up of the triple H type style stuff where she's working her tail off to get back in the ring. 291 00:40:49,500 --> 00:40:56,500 You don't have her on a private jet, you know, and sip and fine wine to get me hyped back that Charlotte Flair is coming back. 292 00:40:56,500 --> 00:41:07,500 Is it a rest of the fan? Yeah, absolutely. I'm hyped that she's back, but you got to bring her back as a heal. So, I was not surprised by the crowd reaction. The babyface promo from Charlotte that she was trying to cut on Monday's Raw did surprise me. 293 00:41:07,500 --> 00:41:18,500 I like to see that it was a little bit more of a tweener on Tuesday's NXT, which it takes us to the last thing here, Dr. Shure. We talked about with Jeyusa, who we expect J2Pick, we both expect him to pick Gunther. 294 00:41:18,500 --> 00:41:28,500 Who do we suspect Charlotte to pick? I think the direction here is Tiffany Stratton. I think that is the person that you go and that is the person that you flip right now from being healed to babyface. 295 00:41:28,500 --> 00:41:42,500 So my pick is Tiffany Stratton because with all due respect, the match with Maria Ripley a couple years ago, Russ Money 39 was a match that you're a candidate for us. I love that match, but quite frankly, yes, I'm with you. We've seen it twice at Russ Mania. I'm fine with seeing Charlotte play someone else. 296 00:41:42,500 --> 00:42:05,500 Yeah, and plus, I think once you start putting Charlotte and Tiffany next to each other, they're physical prodigies. Like, they're almost mirror images of each other in a sense. Like, when Tiffany came through NXT, she got pushed to the moon. She's beautiful, she's athletic, she's a freak in the ring. She picked it up so quickly, much like Charlotte did coming in. 297 00:42:05,500 --> 00:42:18,500 And they both had that blonde hair, all the same qualities. The difference is that Tiffany always seems like she's having fun even when she's a heal. And I think that's why they crowd kind of gravitate towards her. 298 00:42:18,500 --> 00:42:32,500 So to me, this is a great way to either make one of them your babyface and one of them your heal because both of them are kind of like Charlotte's unlikable, but she has moments where she can be a babyface. 299 00:42:32,500 --> 00:42:44,500 Tiffany is likable, but she can be dasturably as well. You can actually define the course of these two characters by putting them up against each other and just let the crowd organically decide where we're going. 300 00:42:44,500 --> 00:43:00,500 I think the crowd wants to like Tiffany much like Tiffany is like to me like a cross between Charlotte and Trish. I think they want to like Tiffany. They want to boost Charlotte. So just let the crowd run that course. And then you can save Rhea for somebody else at Russ Mania. 301 00:43:00,500 --> 00:43:10,500 So after Tray, let's get to the segment that I love doing here during Rhea. So many 41 season. It is the WrestleMania 41 card roundup. 302 00:43:10,500 --> 00:43:19,500 Sometimes coming out of the rumble we have confirmed matches this time. We do not. So there are no officially confirmed matches for WrestleMania 41 right now. 303 00:43:19,500 --> 00:43:28,500 There is however a ton of rumored ones. Let's talk about the rumored ones. These are the ones. So I've written down some of these. And then if I miss an any with an individual jump in and be like, 304 00:43:28,500 --> 00:43:35,500 "All right, well, what about this matches? What the direction I think is going right now?" Let's get to the easy side of the way because you and I've already discussed this. 305 00:43:35,500 --> 00:43:39,500 Gunther versus J.O. So for the World Lv.8 Championship. Any disagreement on that rumored match? 306 00:43:39,500 --> 00:43:41,500 No, I think that's where we're going. 307 00:43:41,500 --> 00:43:45,500 Tiffany Stratt and versus Charlotte Flair for the WWE Women's Championship. 308 00:43:45,500 --> 00:43:53,500 Right now, I think that's where I just I can't see Charlotte going back to the challenge on the NXT title and I can't see Charlotte three. 309 00:43:53,500 --> 00:44:02,500 So yeah, I think we're going Charlotte's, Tiffany. Okay, so now this is where it's going to get in the wrestling and I'm going to bring up John Cena right now and we're going to do it in two. 310 00:44:02,500 --> 00:44:16,500 So I've got two matches. I think everybody and their mother, literally their mother is thinking Cody Rhodes versus John Cena for the WWE Championship, especially when John Cena got a buy to get into the elimination chamber match. 311 00:44:16,500 --> 00:44:24,500 All because he's basically filming in Hungary right now and came back to the United States to wrestle in the rumble and now is back in Hungary filming something. 312 00:44:24,500 --> 00:44:29,500 Then we'll be back for elimination chamber. Where do you stand on the Cody Rhodes versus John Cena match? 313 00:44:29,500 --> 00:44:38,500 Because I do have a second match that I'm not sure anybody, because I haven't seen many people talk about it, but I was an eagle eye fan during the rumble that I want to bring up here against Cena. 314 00:44:38,500 --> 00:44:40,500 So your thoughts, Cena versus Rhodes? 315 00:44:40,500 --> 00:44:55,500 No, I really as I know we do these matches, Cena, Rock, Rock, Ogan. I know we do these like once every 10 years, 15 years type thing, but they've done. 316 00:44:55,500 --> 00:44:59,500 They've done seen as lineage though. They've done they passed that towards the Roman. 317 00:44:59,500 --> 00:45:06,500 Yeah, I just I just don't want to see this match. I don't want to see Captain America versus Captain America. 318 00:45:06,500 --> 00:45:13,500 Yeah, it's literally superman versus Captain America. Like and who do you root for? Like do you root for code? 319 00:45:13,500 --> 00:45:22,500 Now if this comes out where we get the Cody heels her or saw somebody the day like pull up Cena in the NW shirt and I'll do to bring Wyatt. 320 00:45:22,500 --> 00:45:26,500 If we get a heel turn out of this, okay, maybe, but I don't know. 321 00:45:26,500 --> 00:45:30,500 This is bad. I know. 322 00:45:30,500 --> 00:45:40,500 But I don't know if any long time listeners that know what we're talking about. We always ban John Cena heel turn on the show isn't seen as retirement toward is that the bang off the window. 323 00:45:40,500 --> 00:45:46,500 I don't know. Do you imagine if you turn the heel on the on the retirement or let me freaking awesome. 324 00:45:46,500 --> 00:45:48,500 He goes out in a blazing glory. 325 00:45:48,500 --> 00:45:54,500 What if we get the member was Sean was a face and he wrestled hogan and someers lay him a Sean we heel for like a month. 326 00:45:54,500 --> 00:46:01,500 That's great if I was not okay. So the scene of stuff you're not on board with Cody versus Cena. I have a second match here. 327 00:46:01,500 --> 00:46:11,500 I don't know if anyone noticed this but Jacob Fattu gets eliminated from the Royal Rumble and at that moment he's walking up the entrance way and John Cena makes his entrance into the Rumble. 328 00:46:11,500 --> 00:46:18,500 And Fattu is staring at him and they do a quick camera shot where Fattu is staring at John Cena. 329 00:46:18,500 --> 00:46:24,500 That that one I'm leaning towards more I'm like and I'm seeing nobody talk about this for some reason. 330 00:46:24,500 --> 00:46:28,500 Could John Cena versus Jacob Fattu be a match on the rest of any card. 331 00:46:28,500 --> 00:46:33,500 That's possible. I'm leaning. Did you see that? Am I the one that saw this? 332 00:46:33,500 --> 00:46:37,500 I caught it and it was kind of like the whole like it was interesting. 333 00:46:37,500 --> 00:46:47,500 Yeah. Cena's fought monsters for his entire career from Umaga to Rusev. Like he's fought every month. I mean hell he fought Albert when he was 10-Sai. 334 00:46:47,500 --> 00:46:56,500 Yeah. He's fought every monster has come to the roster. It was almost like that look like oh damn another monster and Fattu just like I'll eat you type look to him. 335 00:46:56,500 --> 00:47:00,500 I don't know. I'm kind of leaning Cena Logan Paul right now. 336 00:47:00,500 --> 00:47:03,500 Okay. So you're leaning Cena Logan Paul. 337 00:47:03,500 --> 00:47:10,500 Um so I'm saying the final two the final three in the rubble. God it would be so bad if that's seen as Russell many match. I'm sorry. 338 00:47:10,500 --> 00:47:15,500 But I hear you I hear you. Um what about Cody right now? 339 00:47:15,500 --> 00:47:22,500 Um I that's at this point. I'm leaning Randy Orton. 340 00:47:22,500 --> 00:47:31,500 Okay. Okay. I could I would love to see Randy or back. I know there's people out there that are saying that they could see Cody Rhodes versus 341 00:47:31,500 --> 00:47:40,500 Kevin Owens versus Sammy's aim but how the hell would they do that now with the element is chamber match, especially if J picks gone through anytime soon. 342 00:47:40,500 --> 00:47:46,500 I mean I don't we don't know who's in the chamber match yet. There's still a few slots left in there. So I mean. 343 00:47:46,500 --> 00:47:55,500 You know if if Sammy lost a punk so I don't see Sammy getting in that way. But if KOs in the elimination chamber match then is a possibility. 344 00:47:55,500 --> 00:48:05,500 But I don't know. I mean you've got to do some with Randy coming back. You know at some point Randy's got to be back for WrestleMania season. You can't have WrestleMania without Randy Orton. 345 00:48:05,500 --> 00:48:10,500 No I agree with you. I definitely think he's on a card. 346 00:48:10,500 --> 00:48:20,500 So I don't know who Logan Paul is going to face. I'm not 100% sure who John Cody Rhodes is going to face. I'm not 100% sure who John Cena is going to face right now. 347 00:48:20,500 --> 00:48:29,500 I think we've talked about that since Kevin and Sammy came up. I have on my rumored card right now. I think Kevin Owens versus Sammy Zane is a potential WrestleMania 41 match. 348 00:48:29,500 --> 00:48:36,500 But to me I still feel like you've got to put a title in there for those guys. I know I know like guys like you me. 349 00:48:36,500 --> 00:48:41,500 We're like worst best friend title. They just make a championship like people's champion. 350 00:48:41,500 --> 00:48:45,500 Kevin Owens steals the list from Jericho and that's on the line. I don't know. 351 00:48:45,500 --> 00:48:52,500 But like it is it's just you and I guys like you me who love Kevin and Sammy. We can watch Kevin and Sammy fight all the thing. 352 00:48:52,500 --> 00:48:55,500 They can fight or tag up and we love it. 353 00:48:55,500 --> 00:49:05,500 This level with them alluding to the fact that KO once again hasn't had a title in how many years and he's 0 and 6 now at rumble like at the rumble for title matches. 354 00:49:05,500 --> 00:49:16,500 Sammy hasn't won a world championship and then you have Cody lurking in the background. If you put Cody Orton, Sammy and KO in a four way at main event title. 355 00:49:16,500 --> 00:49:18,500 I think I'd be on board with that with. 356 00:49:18,500 --> 00:49:20,500 But can I just try to do that now with the elimination chamber? 357 00:49:20,500 --> 00:49:22,500 Yeah, I don't either. 358 00:49:22,500 --> 00:49:26,500 Unless it's a tie goes to the runner? I don't know how that's going to run. 359 00:49:26,500 --> 00:49:37,500 They were all stuck in pods and they couldn't get them out at the Rochester center. And so they just decided Kevin Owens, Sammy, Zayn and Randy Orton won the match. 360 00:49:37,500 --> 00:49:39,500 Like I can't believe I'm stuck in the pod. 361 00:49:39,500 --> 00:49:49,500 If any of those winnets you can tie in all four guys as rivalries into you know inserting themselves into it like. 362 00:49:49,500 --> 00:49:58,500 So you think of it a four way with those guys? All they say was the winner gets a shot at the title didn't say one on one. 363 00:49:58,500 --> 00:50:01,500 So do you put a McMahon in every corner? 364 00:50:01,500 --> 00:50:04,500 Well, Lin is going to be able to job soon. 365 00:50:04,500 --> 00:50:07,500 Yeah, she gets tired and fired. 366 00:50:07,500 --> 00:50:10,500 It's really tough. I don't know what they do there. 367 00:50:10,500 --> 00:50:17,500 I think the director of now is K. I think in a normal world if the elimination chamber matches at the one that gets you to a WrestleMania main event. 368 00:50:17,500 --> 00:50:22,500 I'm like, yeah, I could see fatal four way no doubt. Sam Dunk. Yeah, I don't know how we get there. 369 00:50:22,500 --> 00:50:30,500 This might and this is weird. Like we we we're only what 60 days out from Mania right now and literally the card. 370 00:50:30,500 --> 00:50:35,500 Like there's a couple of matches I could say I think you're happening just based on what the trajectory of the show. 371 00:50:35,500 --> 00:50:41,500 But like there's a lot of guys right now who don't have WrestleMania dance partners lined up. 372 00:50:41,500 --> 00:50:50,500 It is kind of a little unearthing in a sense because I'm like, how are you going to build up a lot of these matches with only 60 days left and an elimination chamber. 373 00:50:50,500 --> 00:50:57,500 It's only going to have four matches on the card probably again because chamber matches you take about 45 minutes apiece. 374 00:50:57,500 --> 00:50:59,500 Maybe you have five matches. 375 00:50:59,500 --> 00:51:02,500 So you don't get a lot of PLE build up heading into Mania as well. 376 00:51:02,500 --> 00:51:09,500 So it's going to be interesting to see how they kind of put this thing together in 60 days because you know the guys you mentioned and then you know. 377 00:51:09,500 --> 00:51:16,500 What do you do with solo is solo back from Mania? Do you do solo with Jacob? Like where does like you meant we mentioned Logan Paul. 378 00:51:16,500 --> 00:51:22,500 Where's he fit in the equation? Where does are we doing Drew and Damian and then what happens with you know where does Finn fit into all this? 379 00:51:22,500 --> 00:51:34,500 You know like there's a lot of guys who don't have dance partners right now that might get left out or might get shoved into you know a US title ladder match with like you know 12 guys. 380 00:51:34,500 --> 00:51:44,500 Yeah it's it's very very telling right now and when I put together this list I'm like okay I can kind of see some of this stuff coming out of the rumble coming out of raw. 381 00:51:44,500 --> 00:51:52,500 And it's like all right let's pick Paul here I back some other ones rewripped defense the women's world championship against EO sky. 382 00:51:52,500 --> 00:52:04,500 Possibly I'd if if Oscar's back in time I'd see I'd like to see re and Oscar for the women's title but reo it but once again it's the booking of EO sky heading into this. 383 00:52:04,500 --> 00:52:11,500 Well right now she got the limited chamber qualify match was costed by really Ripley and people like well what do they got to do with EO she's not going to be the match. 384 00:52:11,500 --> 00:52:20,500 Well maybe they do a last chance spot. Yeah it's like I said like obviously we don't want re I still like my idea of live in Alexa Bliss at Mania. 385 00:52:20,500 --> 00:52:31,500 Like you give me two months of those two going at it I'm fine with it. See I have I have live in Raquel taking on Bianca Naomi right now for the women's world champion tag team championship at Mania. 386 00:52:31,500 --> 00:52:40,500 But I was just this was not my actual I was going to dream matches and try to throw out some stuff that you actually thought may happen there. 387 00:52:40,500 --> 00:52:46,500 Yeah but then like you know does Naya get in our shot at Rhea or is she just get pushed down the car because she is your reading. 388 00:52:46,500 --> 00:52:53,500 The thing with this is they're probably going to give us 14 to 16 matches over the course of two nights. 389 00:52:53,500 --> 00:52:58,500 There are going to be some very talent people that are left off the scarred. 390 00:52:58,500 --> 00:53:01,500 I mean that is just how competitive it is right now. 391 00:53:01,500 --> 00:53:05,500 Not every championship is going to be defended. 392 00:53:05,500 --> 00:53:11,500 See I would just be able to be entire card of championship matches. 393 00:53:11,500 --> 00:53:23,500 Yeah but there's you know you have you just introduced the women's the women's championship matches so you want to give them some credibility so you got to have you know do you just sacrifice the I see that the new women's I see title. 394 00:53:23,500 --> 00:53:24,500 And you started the list. 395 00:53:24,500 --> 00:53:33,500 But they've made the Raw's in Smackdown heading in the WrestleMania like a big deal which I'm fine with like they do that with PL's now where. 396 00:53:33,500 --> 00:53:45,500 There was a period of time where it was a Gunther didn't wrestle it's a rubber series but Gunther had a big match the raw heading into some of the series I'm like that you know I like that I like that booking I like the way they kind of do some things there. 397 00:53:45,500 --> 00:53:52,500 It's going to be an ancient couple of weeks as like I think by the time we get to two weeks out from now we'll have a much clearer picture. 398 00:53:52,500 --> 00:53:59,500 But I mean just knee jerking off of rumble and maybe it's got a lot of reasons thank God you said knee. 399 00:53:59,500 --> 00:54:10,500 Can I just run through a couple more matches here. Jurvers is Damien. Yeah I think that was happening because that one actually has a tie though because you can go back to clash at the castle and Damien cashing you on them as well. 400 00:54:10,500 --> 00:54:12,500 That was a WrestleMania. 401 00:54:12,500 --> 00:54:19,500 WrestleMania I'm sorry I don't know why say Clutch the Castle plus the big story there was obviously the way that spot went down and Drew was not very happy. 402 00:54:19,500 --> 00:54:26,500 Another one that is gained momentum and you're seeing this in the news stories right now Roman Reigns versus Seth versus CM Punk or WrestleMania. 403 00:54:26,500 --> 00:54:41,500 Yeah I think that accomplished a lot of things it gives each guy I really saw a dance partner and also gets punk is WrestleMania main event level match which I still question because I still think punk and Jericho for the title was a WrestleMania main event match by today's standards but anyway. 404 00:54:41,500 --> 00:54:50,500 But that's also I'm like does that it kills off the whole bloodline feud with Roman and solo and Jacob and all that I mean it was trouble chief. 405 00:54:50,500 --> 00:54:55,500 I think that's over so now though I think they're done with that since the Netflix kick off. 406 00:54:55,500 --> 00:54:58,500 But is Jacob done with Roman? 407 00:54:58,500 --> 00:55:05,500 Well I guess solo had a knowledge in but not everybody else fell in line because we saw Jacob and Roman going at it in the rumble. 408 00:55:05,500 --> 00:55:13,500 They did they did I mean they don't even call that group now the bloodline anymore they've quietly removed that from their name on SmackDown. 409 00:55:13,500 --> 00:55:22,500 I don't know if I too is definitely in line for something major they're really starting to push him solo has been off television was not on the rumble who knows where that goes. 410 00:55:22,500 --> 00:55:34,500 There is zero confirm matches do you think a week from today when we record again doctor Tray when we do the next episode is there any confirm matches for WrestleMania. 411 00:55:34,500 --> 00:55:42,500 Unless we come back on raw and J picks Gunther and then the end of the way that I think is like one thing Gunther said is if you pick me. 412 00:55:42,500 --> 00:56:00,500 There will be so much violence like if you just have Gunther basically just being the crap out of J heading all the way up through maniacs and then J gets to pick when people people people be on a bond board for that but like I said like unless one of these champions pick somebody by next week. 413 00:56:00,500 --> 00:56:11,500 I don't think we have anything WrestleMania confirmed I think everything right now is still lingering will get some more confirmed stuff right before elimination chamber some of the guys that won't be the chamber or on the car will have. 414 00:56:11,500 --> 00:56:21,500 There's stuff announced but I don't think really we anything else this week so WrestleMania 41 is going to be the weekend of Easter and will be April 19th and 20th in Las Vegas. 415 00:56:21,500 --> 00:56:35,500 elimination chamber is on March 1st. I don't think I think we only have two confirmed matches going into elimination chamber and that's the selection of J who so and shall have played everything will then take place after March 1st. 416 00:56:35,500 --> 00:56:47,500 So everybody loves this when we count on the show but starting this Monday there is one two three four five six seven eight nine ten 417 00:56:47,500 --> 00:56:59,500 ten Ross so ten weeks of programming Ron smackdown that will be taking place and of those weeks coming out elimination chamber one two three four five six seven. 418 00:56:59,500 --> 00:57:11,500 So they have seven episodes and I think that is the seven episodes or seven weeks that's say of raw NXC Smackdown where they're going to build the rest of the rest of the WrestleMania card which is kind of wild when you think about it. 419 00:57:11,500 --> 00:57:26,500 Yeah, he's a feels like maybe you used to be like right around April's first and it kind of pushed back a little bit and then you know but yeah I don't think other than unless and even then like as much as you love to have Charlotte pick Tiffany or J pick Gunther. 420 00:57:26,500 --> 00:57:39,500 You still got to have those guys face some challenges before they get to Mania because I'm sure at least one or two of those people will have their WrestleMania match on the line somewhere heading into Mania season. 421 00:57:39,500 --> 00:57:52,500 It's kind of like the backdoor way like if somebody gets hot can we flip somebody out in and out but yeah like I like really I don't see anything getting picked before chamber other than if J and Charlotte announce who they're challenging. 422 00:57:52,500 --> 00:58:04,500 Well, they're going to have to right because that then then you go into the new nation at chamber going all right who is this whoever wins this match these two matches is going to face so and so at WrestleMania right so they have to make a decision before then I would imagine. 423 00:58:04,500 --> 00:58:13,500 Well, I mean I don't know yeah like they have to do that like the elimination for wins and are like I guess I'm waiting for Jay to make a selection or I'm waiting for Charlotte to make her selection. 424 00:58:13,500 --> 00:58:27,500 No, it would be funny as if like let's say I'm just gonna pick something random here. Let's see Logan Paul wins and he decides he's gonna challenge Gunther and Jay goes no no I want to first and he's like okay crap I get Cody like it's just and that would be kind of funny. 425 00:58:27,500 --> 00:58:42,500 I really wanted Gunther what are you doing to me yeah like that would be very odd so I would expect I don't think it I don't think next episode we've any confirmed matches but I think in two weeks. 426 00:58:42,500 --> 00:58:56,500 Yeah, I think in two weeks we will so there you go. WrestleMania 41 card round up will kind of see how that shapes up on next weeks edition the show I always like picking apart and saying like all right what do we think so far because it can sometimes it's very cut and dry and sometimes it's not and I would say it's not. 427 00:58:56,500 --> 00:59:11,500 I would say it's not cut dry right now coming on the rumble which is a good thing I you can kind of see where things are potentially heading but we don't have a full scope on where things are because some of these things that we're talking about could actually be setting up for elimination chamber rather than WrestleMania 41. 428 00:59:11,500 --> 00:59:17,500 Yeah and by the way Jacob and Thomas and Tango lower are now going to notice the plasma triad. 429 00:59:17,500 --> 00:59:33,500 Oh great excellent let's close my eyes that's what I thought immediately would be so that's right I know it's a dad joke blood plasma triad line you know it's just stay tuned for more with Dr. Triad will say that I'm a bonus Cassier SRT you. 430 00:59:33,500 --> 00:59:55,500 Dr. Shrey speaking of two weeks and a very important thing will be taking place it's going to be our 15th anniversary special 15 years of SRT you for the 10th anniversary special we did an award show you and I kind of have a production meeting here what do you say should we do it again should we do a 15th anniversary award show special to celebrate 15 years of SRT you. 431 00:59:55,500 --> 01:00:11,500 What year did what year do we do the greatest wrestlers of the SRT you air was that five we just had that up top five wrestlers of the SRT you air was actually the 700th episode which was back on. 432 01:00:11,500 --> 01:00:24,500 Did I write down the date July 13th 2023 felt like it was a lot longer than we did one a long time ago I found it okay here it is so top five wrestlers of the SRT you air we did on the 7th episode on July 13th. 433 01:00:24,500 --> 01:00:34,500 23rd we did a top 10 wrestlers of the SRT you air for the 200th episode on December 12th 2012. 434 01:00:34,500 --> 01:00:47,500 So that was 13 years ago roughly yeah well 12 and a half for 12 years ago so we get to do another award show or we could do another top 10 because I mean our list has probably changed. 435 01:00:47,500 --> 01:01:07,500 Well we did that out yeah 82 years ago now yeah so I think we do another award show I guess I think we do so you may have to send me the list because it's been a while since we did the award show for SRT you air do I have to buy you a gift what is the what is the gift for a 15 year anniversary. 436 01:01:07,500 --> 01:01:11,500 I don't know I think you and I go and look at an old folks home for podcasters. 437 01:01:11,500 --> 01:01:33,500 Oh dear God so you as we us in Adam Corolla.
