- 0:02Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls.
- 0:04Speaker 2: At your favorite time of week. You get to download
- 0:06Speaker 2: the crazy she shenttle in with Scottie and market and
- 0:08Speaker 2: you go talk some college football. I'm marking, I'm here
- 0:11Speaker 2: in the college football podcasting studio and Scotty's at home.
- 0:14Speaker 3: Brother.
- 0:14Speaker 1: How the hell are you, man?
- 0:15Speaker 3: I'm good. Just been on the road this week, getting
- 0:18Speaker 3: ready a little more playoff football. He won, so Chase
- 0:21Speaker 3: gets another gets another round in the playoffs. That's always fun. So, uh,
- 0:27Speaker 3: it'd be a be a good time the Uh. The
- 0:30Speaker 3: boys have got a got a chance to win this week,
- 0:32Speaker 3: but I'd call them two and a half point underdogs
- 0:35Speaker 3: going on the road.
- 0:38Speaker 2: I love that. Talk to me about last week. What
- 0:42Speaker 2: were your takeaways there? First off, let's start in college Station.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Yeah album bought that comeback baby, There.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Was a lot going on there. Marcel Reid in the
- 0:51Speaker 2: first half looked like he was running the wrong play
- 0:53Speaker 2: in Techmobile every single play. He could have thrown five
- 0:56Speaker 2: interceptions in the first half of ten if the South
- 0:58Speaker 2: Carolina defensive backsport squeezed it. Yeah, and then you got
- 1:02Speaker 2: the the weird you know, running in the tunnel with
- 1:06Speaker 2: Nick Harper as he was after he scored a touchdown
- 1:09Speaker 2: with the DPS.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Okay, I can we take a time that guy ot
- 1:14Speaker 3: be fired. He should just remove from game day. You
- 1:17Speaker 3: don't think that guy has got an attitude?
- 1:20Speaker 2: What do you think?
- 1:23Speaker 3: Right? That's what that guy was all amped up like
- 1:26Speaker 3: he was playing. Get that guy. That was completely inexcusable.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Those kids shouldn't have to move. Those kids are coming
- 1:35Speaker 3: down the tunnel the mind and on. They're trying to
- 1:39Speaker 3: win a football game. And those kids are winning on
- 1:41Speaker 3: the road. They've had a rough year, and you get
- 1:44Speaker 3: some douchebag doing that. That is everything bad that a
- 1:50Speaker 3: that an officer in uniform can do. That guy summed
- 1:53Speaker 3: up every stereotype for every good cop out there. It sucked.
- 1:57Speaker 3: And that guy candidly DPS on a fire. That's the truth.
- 2:01Speaker 2: But let's talk about the game itself. Mike Elko maybe
- 2:05Speaker 2: the best adjustment coach in America. I mean, the guy
- 2:08Speaker 2: has done a phenomenal job with the program, but to
- 2:11Speaker 2: get those guys together. And I didn't hear what he said,
- 2:14Speaker 2: but somebody had mentioned it to me. I had somebody knew.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Somebody was at the game and they said, look, guys,
- 2:19Speaker 2: don't look at this like we're down twenty eight points.
- 2:21Speaker 2: It's like, we're down four plays, we need four plays,
- 2:24Speaker 2: and we're right back in this thing. And by the
- 2:27Speaker 2: end of the third quarter they were in. Yeah, and
- 2:31Speaker 2: Bieber was he had no answer at that point, just no.
- 2:34Speaker 2: You could tell he had because he came out peacock
- 2:36Speaker 2: in at the beginning of the second half and kind
- 2:39Speaker 2: of tried to get the crowd going and then it
- 2:41Speaker 2: just the wheels literally fell off the wagon in that
- 2:44Speaker 2: one for him.
- 2:45Speaker 3: I'm go'll tell you, I can't I can't wait to
- 2:47Speaker 3: find out what he said. I feel like I'll be
- 2:50Speaker 3: able to find out what the conversation was at halftime.
- 2:53Speaker 3: I cannot wait to hear exactly what he said to
- 2:56Speaker 3: his football because you know, some of it was diving
- 2:59Speaker 3: into the I mean, we've seen the four plays like
- 3:02Speaker 3: he talked about, because at the end of the day,
- 3:04Speaker 3: that was the truth. They're explosive. I'm gonna tell you
- 3:06Speaker 3: two things. First Off, Marcel Reid, I think minus just
- 3:10Speaker 3: a major meltdown in Austin where he throws four picks
- 3:15Speaker 3: or something like that, he got himself on the podium
- 3:17Speaker 3: and in New York, in my opinion, he got it.
- 3:22Speaker 3: That's a Heisman type moment. And as bad as he
- 3:25Speaker 3: was in the first half, he was that good in
- 3:27Speaker 3: the second half. The other thing I will say is
- 3:33Speaker 3: that shows you that this Aggie team really does have
- 3:37Speaker 3: a high end upside. And I don't care that they've
- 3:41Speaker 3: missed some of the best teams in the league. You
- 3:43Speaker 3: can only play your schedule. Those guys are talented and
- 3:48Speaker 3: that they came out and played the way they played
- 3:50Speaker 3: was great. And I want to compliment Marcel Reid on
- 3:53Speaker 3: one thing. That guy's you see a tweet after the game,
- 3:58Speaker 3: where's ex post? I guess I don't even know if
- 3:59Speaker 3: we call them tweets anymore. When he comes out and
- 4:04Speaker 3: says first half's on me or my bad in the
- 4:07Speaker 3: first half, I can't even remember how he actually phrased
- 4:10Speaker 3: it and just addressed it. But as soon as the
- 4:13Speaker 3: game was over, like he posts that like an hour
- 4:16Speaker 3: after the game's over. Kudos to that kid for saying,
- 4:20Speaker 3: you know, because it was on him, he didn't play well.
- 4:23Speaker 3: And I think that is that's the kind of thing
- 4:27Speaker 3: that social media gets used so much for trolling and
- 4:31Speaker 3: things like that. A post like that gets the fan
- 4:35Speaker 3: base behind you, even if they come back and lost.
- 4:40Speaker 3: That that's the kind of things that makes a fan base.
- 4:43Speaker 3: You endear yourself to a fan base by just the ownership.
- 4:46Speaker 3: I thought it was pretty cool. Thought it was actually
- 4:49Speaker 3: fairly mature of him because it also eliminates all that
- 4:52Speaker 3: you go from because you're inevitably these kids are getting
- 4:55Speaker 3: piled on when they play, you know, in social media,
- 4:57Speaker 3: they play poorly, they're getting pounded. And here's a guy
- 5:01Speaker 3: that by posting that, he takes away everything you can physically,
- 5:05Speaker 3: all of a sudden, you're the bad guy. If you posted,
- 5:08Speaker 3: if you say you were terrible in the first half,
- 5:10Speaker 3: you got one hundred thousand Aggie fans piling on you like,
- 5:13Speaker 3: hey man, he took ownership, you're the problem blah blah
- 5:16Speaker 3: blah blah, and and totally deflected. So kudos to him
- 5:20Speaker 3: for the management part. I don't think he's developed enough
- 5:22Speaker 3: to know that, but that's exactly what he did. Let's
- 5:25Speaker 3: move on to my next quarterback, Simpson, you cost me
- 5:29Speaker 3: big money because the guy who got on the podium
- 5:32Speaker 3: replaced your ass at the podium. Yeah, Alabama was awful.
- 5:37Speaker 3: It was all Alabama mistakes. That wasn't an Oklahoma win.
- 5:39Speaker 3: That was an Alabama loss. I mean the big six,
- 5:42Speaker 3: the kick return that yeah, I mean at halftime, Oklahoma
- 5:46Speaker 3: had twenty points. I think they legitimately scored. A had
- 5:48Speaker 3: one drive that resulted in three points. That was a
- 5:51Speaker 3: legit drive and you got to be better than that
- 5:55Speaker 3: at home. Kayling de Boor is fast turning into the
- 5:58Speaker 3: Mario Crystal Baull of US out Distra Conference. I mean,
- 6:01Speaker 3: he is creating ways to the bottom line is he's
- 6:04Speaker 3: losing games he shouldn't and this is two years in
- 6:07Speaker 3: a row that they've lost games they had no business losing,
- 6:11Speaker 3: and they had no business losing that game at home.
- 6:14Speaker 3: He better beat Auburn or Buddy, you ain't found the
- 6:20Speaker 3: wrath of a fan base like your ass will find
- 6:23Speaker 3: the wrath of a fan base on Saturday. But I
- 6:26Speaker 3: thought that was incredibly, incredibly fascinating, both those games, both
- 6:32Speaker 3: those quarterbacks. And Simpson is still very good even though
- 6:37Speaker 3: he made some really bad plays. He's still having a
- 6:39Speaker 3: great year. Still a good player. But he did cost
- 6:41Speaker 3: himself and cost me some money on that Heisman deal
- 6:45Speaker 3: a chance to win the Heisman. So but although I
- 6:48Speaker 3: still think jeremih Smith's the most talented player in the country,
- 6:52Speaker 3: and he should win it. I know, say it's complete
- 6:54Speaker 3: in eighty percent of his passes, but when you're throwing
- 6:56Speaker 3: it to the dudes he's thrown it to, it ain't
- 6:59Speaker 3: real home hard to complete eighty percent. Those guys don't
- 7:02Speaker 3: drop anything. So and they are by far the best
- 7:05Speaker 3: team of the country who's played a really really soft schedule.
- 7:08Speaker 2: By the way, yes they have played almost no one
- 7:11Speaker 2: in their schedule, to be honest with you.
- 7:13Speaker 1: But the other thing too is and I'm not going to.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Argue about people's schedule because that's.
- 7:17Speaker 3: Yeah, you play who's on there, You play who's on there.
- 7:19Speaker 2: That's right, that's what you got. But the one thing
- 7:21Speaker 2: that I'll say about this, if you're looking right now,
- 7:23Speaker 2: the bet I'm gonna make when where I put this
- 7:25Speaker 2: podcast is I just found a Georgia tend to one ticket.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Uh.
- 7:30Speaker 2: This has been a real quiet season for Georgia. Nobody's
- 7:33Speaker 2: talked about them. They're most likely going to get in
- 7:36Speaker 2: and they may even secure I don't know if they're
- 7:38Speaker 2: going to secure a buy or not in the first round,
- 7:40Speaker 2: but it's a team you don't want to play. They
- 7:42Speaker 2: are moving in a positive direction. And they've been there before.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Coaching staff's been there before, they've had players that have
- 7:48Speaker 2: been there before, so they know what's coming. And you've
- 7:51Speaker 2: got a lot of new folks that are going to
- 7:52Speaker 2: be in this tournament this year. But I think Georgia
- 7:54Speaker 2: ten to one is a good bet for the national championship.
- 7:57Speaker 3: I couldn't agree more. I look, I've told you all Georgia,
- 8:00Speaker 3: I said Kirby Smart preseason had the love where he
- 8:03Speaker 3: was sitting that nobody was talking about it. And here
- 8:05Speaker 3: they come, and they're they're starting to play really good
- 8:09Speaker 3: football and more importantly, really figuring out who they are.
- 8:12Speaker 3: They gas Can Texas, I mean put boot to ass
- 8:18Speaker 3: in Athens. I mean that was that was it? I
- 8:21Speaker 3: mean it was bt a as the young kids, uh
- 8:25Speaker 3: as the young kids say that was it in Athens?
- 8:29Speaker 3: I mean it was. It was extremely impressive to to watch.
- 8:34Speaker 3: How about Texas Tech Mark, I know you were there.
- 8:39Speaker 3: Those dudes are rolling and I don't know what that defense.
- 8:45Speaker 3: They are quietly the team that I don't think anybody
- 8:48Speaker 3: wants to play, and they are sitting in such a
- 8:52Speaker 3: great spot they are very likely with because the SEC
- 8:56Speaker 3: still got some big games and you got to you
- 8:59Speaker 3: got an SEC championship game. It's gonna give somebody a loss.
- 9:03Speaker 3: And I know they say, oh, we're not gonna penalize you.
- 9:05Speaker 3: They're not gonna kick you out of the tournament. But
- 9:08Speaker 3: are they gonna adjust seating. It's very possible Tech is
- 9:11Speaker 3: gonna land at that twelve spot and get Jmu or
- 9:15Speaker 3: somebody like that first round. Man. I just I think
- 9:20Speaker 3: this is setting up really really well for Texas Tech.
- 9:24Speaker 3: That defensive line is nasty. You win games at the
- 9:26Speaker 3: line of scrimmage. The game hadn't changed that much. You
- 9:29Speaker 3: win at the line of scrimmage. They fixed the line
- 9:31Speaker 3: of scrimmage and that's why Tech is doing what they're doing.
- 9:35Speaker 3: So last week was really interesting. You taw Baylor, We
- 9:37Speaker 3: talked about that a little bit too.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Uh.
- 9:40Speaker 3: That was a that was a that was a that
- 9:44Speaker 3: was just a complete ass.
- 9:45Speaker 2: It was just like, yeah, they're a mess Baylor defensive pleas.
- 9:49Speaker 2: I mean, they had the leading passer in the country
- 9:51Speaker 2: when you look at yards and uh, and they've got
- 9:54Speaker 2: one of the worst defenses in the country, which is
- 9:56Speaker 2: interesting because David Brandon obviously was brought in to be
- 9:58Speaker 2: a defensive specialist. But I think he would have getten.
- 10:01Speaker 2: I think he would get fired if they had an
- 10:03Speaker 2: athletic director. But currently that guy's on some kind of
- 10:05Speaker 2: a weird leave of absence.
- 10:07Speaker 1: So now if you go back to where we set up,
- 10:09Speaker 1: and I'll.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Just hit this real quick. You know, we did a
- 10:11Speaker 2: podcast back in July, I think, and we were looking
- 10:14Speaker 2: at long shot positions to create some hedges to get
- 10:18Speaker 2: ready for the National Championship, and we took some long
- 10:20Speaker 2: odds in there. We're gonna land with the butt. I
- 10:23Speaker 2: think we're gonna have eight teams that from that podcast
- 10:26Speaker 2: that are gonna make the tournament. And so you should
- 10:29Speaker 2: land with some nice hedge positions. I mean, I've got
- 10:31Speaker 2: Texas Tech at one hundred and twenty to one, and
- 10:34Speaker 2: so they get in. It's gonna be real easy to
- 10:37Speaker 2: bet the other side of that thing when you're looking
- 10:39Speaker 2: at one hundred dollars to win twelve thousand, you know.
- 10:41Speaker 2: And so that's where we are with a couple of
- 10:44Speaker 2: these positions. I got a long spot on Oregon things
- 10:47Speaker 2: of that, I got Georgia, but I like Georgia ten
- 10:49Speaker 2: to one. I'm gonna come back in on them because
- 10:51Speaker 2: now you're kind of trying to get to the position
- 10:52Speaker 2: of where you want to set yourself up to make money.
- 10:55Speaker 2: It's not just hey, who are we cheering for to
- 10:57Speaker 2: win it? Who thinks the best team? It's about trying
- 10:59Speaker 2: to make the money. And if you can take a
- 11:01Speaker 2: Georgia position today at ten to one for whatever your
- 11:04Speaker 2: unit size is, you're gonna get an opportunity to play
- 11:07Speaker 2: off the upther side of that. If you think you
- 11:09Speaker 2: need to with a really big window, try that you
- 11:12Speaker 2: can make some money there. And so so start looking
- 11:15Speaker 2: at some of these lines, Start looking at these positions. Uh,
- 11:18Speaker 2: Notre Dame. You can still snag them at ten to
- 11:21Speaker 2: one in a couple of places. Uh. You know, they've
- 11:23Speaker 2: got the name brand ability to get in the tournament,
- 11:25Speaker 2: but that could be the biggest name brand left out
- 11:27Speaker 2: of the tournament depending on what goes on. Uh, Miami
- 11:31Speaker 2: get lower the ACC is terrible.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Uh, but if Miami wins. If if Miami wins the ACC,
- 11:39Speaker 3: that's the best sentiment for them. But they need help
- 11:43Speaker 3: to get to the sec ACC Championship right now. Yeah,
- 11:47Speaker 3: oh yeah, they're gonna have a ton of help. What
- 11:50Speaker 3: the hell are you gonna do with Miami And say
- 11:55Speaker 3: let's say Georgia Tech wins out. Let's just take chalk
- 11:58Speaker 3: and just say Georgie Tech wins out, and they win
- 12:00Speaker 3: the league, all right, And then you got Miami sitting
- 12:02Speaker 3: there with a win over Notre Dame in the exact
- 12:05Speaker 3: same record. Right now, I think it's entirely possible Miami
- 12:09Speaker 3: goes in and lays a third at Pittsburgh next week.
- 12:11Speaker 3: But we'll talk about that next week. The but let's
- 12:15Speaker 3: just for fun, say that happens. How do you take them?
- 12:20Speaker 3: I mean, how do you how do you take I
- 12:21Speaker 3: don't think you can, because at the end of the day,
- 12:24Speaker 3: head to head automatter. When it comes down to who's
- 12:27Speaker 3: in and who's out, head to head automatter, if they
- 12:30Speaker 3: have the same record head the head should matter. So
- 12:34Speaker 3: I think that is a gonna be a fascinating deal
- 12:37Speaker 3: to watch, as bad as the ACC is, man, that
- 12:40Speaker 3: could be wild if they go ten and two and
- 12:44Speaker 3: Notre Dame's in and the ACC's left looking, even though
- 12:47Speaker 3: I think Crystal Ball would deserve it. For losing games,
- 12:51Speaker 3: you shouldn't lose. They gotta they gotta quit losing games.
- 12:53Speaker 3: They shouldn't lose. But again, I think it all may
- 12:56Speaker 3: be a point because they may go leay a egg
- 12:58Speaker 3: next week. Uh, they hadn't done real well when it's
- 13:01Speaker 3: fifty degrees and below traditionally for the Hurricanes, and my
- 13:04Speaker 3: guess is Pittsburgh on Thanksgiving weekends probably gonna be below fifty.
- 13:10Speaker 2: I mean, the odds of Miami to get in now,
- 13:12Speaker 2: based on and they're probably the best team in the
- 13:15Speaker 2: ACC quote unquote is eighty to one. I mean, so
- 13:19Speaker 2: you could take a pretty big swing at it if
- 13:22Speaker 2: you think they're gonna get it. I mean, you can
- 13:23Speaker 2: almost take a unit and split it between Miami and
- 13:26Speaker 2: Notre Dame because one of those two teams is gonna
- 13:28Speaker 2: get in, assuming they both went out, and it's just
- 13:32Speaker 2: gonna be what name brand do they want to jam
- 13:36Speaker 2: in that spot? Is my personal opinion. And again I'm
- 13:39Speaker 2: not here to tell you who's the better team and
- 13:41Speaker 2: argue schedules and all that other bullshit. I'm talking about
- 13:45Speaker 2: creating a position that you can play into when there's
- 13:48Speaker 2: only twelve teams left in the country that we get
- 13:50Speaker 2: to bet on. And so if you want to take
- 13:52Speaker 2: a hack at it, you can catch you some Miami.
- 13:55Speaker 2: You can still catch them at eight eighty to one.
- 13:58Speaker 2: You can still get a pretty good number on a
- 14:00Speaker 2: Notre Dame that's out there. You can still get Texas
- 14:03Speaker 2: Tech at fourteen to one. It's pretty readily available in
- 14:05Speaker 2: most books, and so there's still some numbers out there.
- 14:09Speaker 2: But yeah, Notre Dame is down there. This will give
- 14:11Speaker 2: you the idea where Vegas thinks it is. Notre Dame's
- 14:13Speaker 2: down to ten to one, nine and a half to
- 14:15Speaker 2: one to win the national championship, so Vegas thinks they're in.
- 14:19Speaker 2: And so you know, that's what I'm telling you, start
- 14:22Speaker 2: looking at it because after next week you're not gonna
- 14:24Speaker 2: have much less to do. And it's getting hard. And
- 14:27Speaker 2: I'm gonna say this now and then we're gonna jump
- 14:29Speaker 2: into this week. It's getting really hard to bet Bowl games.
- 14:32Speaker 2: I mean we made we made a fuck ton of
- 14:34Speaker 2: money betting Bowl games the first eight nine years we
- 14:37Speaker 2: did this. But now you don't know who's gonna play it.
- 14:40Speaker 3: Until the starting in the portal. I mean, you got
- 14:43Speaker 3: ten guys that you know hit the portal. It's just oh,
- 14:48Speaker 3: it's brutal.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Well, look last year, last year, Marshall had to drop
- 14:52Speaker 2: out of their Bowl game because their entire team went
- 14:54Speaker 2: into the portal.
- 14:55Speaker 3: Yeah, they fire the coach.
- 14:57Speaker 1: And I was on the other side of that.
- 14:59Speaker 2: I was like, I was a this game, and they're like,
- 15:01Speaker 2: now we got to back out. We got thirty eighth
- 15:02Speaker 2: guys playing, you know, and so it's like we're done.
- 15:04Speaker 2: But anyway, Scott, that's all behind this. Let's move on.
- 15:07Speaker 2: We got to tom My Big Week in college football.
- 15:10Speaker 2: A couple of games in there. You got this is
- 15:11Speaker 2: that weird spot in November where almost every SEC team
- 15:15Speaker 2: plays an FCS team or someone way below. But you've
- 15:18Speaker 2: got a couple of games in there. Let's dive in
- 15:20Speaker 2: Friday night. A couple of games you got there. Florida State,
- 15:24Speaker 2: n C State, lne's five and a half or getting
- 15:26Speaker 2: five and half over under here sixty and a half.
- 15:30Speaker 2: This is kind of one of those games that win
- 15:34Speaker 2: or get fired type situation for me. I mean, Dave Dorn,
- 15:37Speaker 2: I think in NC State's done really well. He's got
- 15:40Speaker 2: a really young team, but I think he may be
- 15:43Speaker 2: getting kind of worn out there. And then I don't
- 15:44Speaker 2: know what they're gonna do with Mike Norvel. You know,
- 15:47Speaker 2: if if Florida State wants to play, I think they
- 15:51Speaker 2: could come out and beat the dog at n C State.
- 15:53Speaker 2: But I can't get behind this because every time I
- 15:55Speaker 2: feel like I do, I'm on the wrong side of it,
- 15:57Speaker 2: which would makes sense because Florida's five and five against
- 15:59Speaker 2: the spread.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm the same way. I feel like North Carolina
- 16:03Speaker 3: State's got gas can last week. So you wonder, is
- 16:06Speaker 3: this team mailing it in? But here comes Florida State,
- 16:09Speaker 3: and look, they are still the marquee brand in this league,
- 16:13Speaker 3: and that is a that's still a big game for
- 16:18Speaker 3: pretty much anybody that they show up on the schedule for.
- 16:21Speaker 3: I just don't know what you're gonna get out of
- 16:22Speaker 3: either one of these teams. It feels like if Florida
- 16:25Speaker 3: State goes up there and plays well, they're going to
- 16:27Speaker 3: crush them, and this ought'll be an easy place to
- 16:29Speaker 3: make money. But you're on the road to a home dog.
- 16:34Speaker 3: You're an average football team that really depends on the
- 16:38Speaker 3: quarterback running the football. That kid may throw the ball well,
- 16:42Speaker 3: and he may not be able to hit the broadside
- 16:44Speaker 3: of a barn. I mean truly, he may not can
- 16:47Speaker 3: throw it in the ocean standing with the waves hitting
- 16:49Speaker 3: his feet. I mean it is he is all over
- 16:52Speaker 3: the map throwing the football. So you just don't know
- 16:55Speaker 3: what you're gonna get, and so I don't want any
- 16:57Speaker 3: part of this game. I'm a hell. I'm not even
- 16:59Speaker 3: going to watch. I'mna be watching high school football, all right.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Let me give you a game I am involved in.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Hawaii is coming over to the Ninth Island. Play UNLV line.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Here's plus three over under sixty four and a half.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Hawaii and the Flying Timmy Changs are seven and three
- 17:14Speaker 2: straight up, seven and three against the number. You and
- 17:17Speaker 2: lv's eight and two straight up and only five and
- 17:19Speaker 2: five against the number. UNLV quietly could go ten and two,
- 17:24Speaker 2: nine and three. I think Dan mull will probably get
- 17:26Speaker 2: a job. He probably already.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Knows he has a job.
- 17:28Speaker 2: I think, yeah, yeah, and so. But he's done it quietly.
- 17:32Speaker 2: It's been a great year and they've done well. Their
- 17:35Speaker 2: defense is terrible, and we've talked about this time and
- 17:38Speaker 2: time again. This Hawaii team has improved. You've got eight
- 17:42Speaker 2: guys that are on this Hawaii team, including the quarterback
- 17:45Speaker 2: that played at Bishop Borman right there in Las Vegas.
- 17:47Speaker 2: It's gonna be indoors, it's gonna be on a fast track.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Give me the Flying Timmy Changs. Plus three and I
- 17:54Speaker 2: like over sixty four and a half in this one
- 17:56Speaker 2: as well.
- 17:57Speaker 3: You like the Changers, huh? I kind of do too.
- 18:01Speaker 3: This team is just so bad on defense for UNLV.
- 18:04Speaker 3: I mean it is. They are so terrible on defense
- 18:08Speaker 3: and so good on offense. And that is what makes
- 18:12Speaker 3: me think you're probably right about the over. But if
- 18:15Speaker 3: you're gonna bet it, I think you gotta take. I
- 18:17Speaker 3: think you gotta take Hawaii.
- 18:19Speaker 2: You gotta take a little piece of it. Next game,
- 18:21Speaker 2: I want to go to Scott. I'm gonna correlate these two.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Ohio State is at home hosting Rutgers. They're laying thirty
- 18:27Speaker 2: one and a half over under. Here's fifty four and
- 18:29Speaker 2: a half. Another game I want to talk about is
- 18:31Speaker 2: Michigan going on the road to play Maryland and the
- 18:34Speaker 2: fighting Mike Likesley's out there. You're the turtle baby again.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Big game next week, Michigan Ohio State are gonna get played.
- 18:42Speaker 2: I'm gonna take one unit, split it half. I'm gonna
- 18:45Speaker 2: take Rutgers plus thirty one and a half and I'm
- 18:48Speaker 2: gonna take Maryland. I'm gonna buy it up to fourteen.
- 18:51Speaker 2: The fact that Maryland came out and said, Mike Likesley
- 18:53Speaker 2: as our coach and endorse the guy. Makes me believe
- 18:56Speaker 2: that you know that team's still playing hard for him.
- 18:59Speaker 2: Uh but if you look at both of these rosters
- 19:01Speaker 2: for Michigan, they got some injuries. Bryce Underwood, the freshman
- 19:05Speaker 2: quarterback they've got. He is great, but he literally throws
- 19:08Speaker 2: the ball like he's trying to throw it through a
- 19:09Speaker 2: brick wall. Every time you let it, that go out
- 19:11Speaker 2: of his hands, and I just don't know what it's
- 19:13Speaker 2: gonna go here. I think you'll get a lot of
- 19:15Speaker 2: fight from this Maryland team. Rutgers, they need one more
- 19:18Speaker 2: win to go bowling. Ohio State's banged up man Jeremy
- 19:23Speaker 2: Smith's banged up Carlo the other wide receivers, banged up
- 19:26Speaker 2: Cardel Tate, and then saying, I can't imagine you'd leave
- 19:30Speaker 2: this kid in the game and worry about them getting
- 19:32Speaker 2: hurt too long in this one. So give me Rutgers
- 19:34Speaker 2: plus thirty one and a half and give me Maryland
- 19:36Speaker 2: plus thirteen and a half. I'm gonna buy to fourteen.
- 19:39Speaker 3: I think Rutgers is just a good enough team to
- 19:41Speaker 3: hang around in this That's the number, and I'm gonna
- 19:46Speaker 3: say bettis now while you're getting the hook, because thirty
- 19:50Speaker 3: one and a half is a hell of a lot
- 19:52Speaker 3: better than thirty one, because I could easy see this
- 19:55Speaker 3: game be in thirty eight, seven, forty five to fourteen,
- 19:59Speaker 3: you know, easy sleeping and falling estates never in danger.
- 20:06Speaker 3: They dominate the game. They just sleep walk through it.
- 20:10Speaker 3: Oh but the only one by thirty one take this game.
- 20:12Speaker 3: I agree with you. I think thirty one and a
- 20:14Speaker 3: half is a big number here with Michigan on deck,
- 20:18Speaker 3: and I will tell you. I'll go so far as
- 20:20Speaker 3: to tell you I think Maryland's going to give Michigan
- 20:24Speaker 3: all they want. Yeah, I like that line, give me,
- 20:26Speaker 3: give me the Terrapins. Even though I have just bet
- 20:31Speaker 3: against Mike Likesley his entire career as a whole, I've
- 20:34Speaker 3: made a whole lot more money betting against him. But
- 20:36Speaker 3: come on, Mike, I need you, baby, I need you,
- 20:39Speaker 3: just one time, Just one time.
- 20:42Speaker 2: Work for me, baby, I mean Mike Likesley. I would
- 20:45Speaker 2: love to sit down with that guy and have a
- 20:46Speaker 2: candid conversation about So it's like, so, walk me through
- 20:49Speaker 2: how it was in New Mexico when your son got
- 20:51Speaker 2: arrested driving a university car for getting a DW.
- 20:54Speaker 3: Yeah, driving a university on car, but.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Now here you are the head coach of Maryland. I
- 21:00Speaker 2: mean it's got to be a story. Let's hear it. Anyway,
- 21:02Speaker 2: Moving on Temple tu Lane, Temple's getting eight to half
- 21:06Speaker 2: case of Keeler moved up from Sam Houston State's gone
- 21:08Speaker 2: to Temple. He's done a good job here. Tu Lane
- 21:11Speaker 2: currently in JMU were the odds on favorite in that
- 21:14Speaker 2: G five position to get in. I kind of think
- 21:16Speaker 2: Tulane's got the best shot just because the Conference of
- 21:19Speaker 2: thrends and where it's set up that they're eight and
- 21:22Speaker 2: two straight up, but they're only four or five and
- 21:24Speaker 2: one against the number. I kind of like Temple getting
- 21:27Speaker 2: eight and a half points in this one. I think
- 21:29Speaker 2: Temple could be a live dog here.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Well. I like this number for a couple of reasons.
- 21:34Speaker 3: First Off, Auburn's completely blowing the coaching search. If SOMEWHEREW
- 21:40Speaker 3: is not the next coach at Auburn, like this ought
- 21:43Speaker 3: to be the easiest job search in the history of
- 21:45Speaker 3: job searches. He's from the state of Alabama. He coached
- 21:51Speaker 3: a D one football team in the state of Alabama
- 21:53Speaker 3: to great success. He is a very solid guy. He's
- 21:57Speaker 3: a defense first guy, which is every time Auburn's been
- 22:00Speaker 3: worth a damn. That's who it is. Man. When your coach,
- 22:05Speaker 3: he's looking for other jobs. And trust me, he's looking
- 22:08Speaker 3: for other jobs. I can There ain't no way he's
- 22:11Speaker 3: at two lane next year. I don't think there's any
- 22:14Speaker 3: chance he's at too Lane next year, whether it's Auburn
- 22:16Speaker 3: or somewhere else. Because if Kiffin Lee's there ain't no
- 22:19Speaker 3: doubt Old Miss is gonna be after summer. All so,
- 22:22Speaker 3: I just think there's no chance he's back. It's relative,
- 22:25Speaker 3: it matters. I don't know that we get our best shot.
- 22:28Speaker 3: Two Lanes look really bad on the road a couple
- 22:30Speaker 3: of times. It's just they haven't played clean football away
- 22:34Speaker 3: from home, and they've been much better at home. I
- 22:36Speaker 3: guess numbers too big. That's the bottom mine. Give me Temple,
- 22:40Speaker 3: I love it, love it.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Give me Dallas BYU traveling out to Cincinnati, b WY.
- 22:45Speaker 2: You bounced back last week and beat the dog at
- 22:47Speaker 2: a TCU in Cincinnati. We made You've gotten exposed that
- 22:51Speaker 2: they're not that good coming in here. Lana Short number
- 22:54Speaker 2: two and a half on the road, Boys and Special
- 22:57Speaker 2: Underwear have the inside track to get themselves back into
- 22:59Speaker 2: the Big twelve championship game, where they would probably rematch
- 23:02Speaker 2: with Tech if they don't lose to West Virginia next week.
- 23:05Speaker 2: I think by used to play here. I think they're
- 23:08Speaker 2: gonna come in, They're gonna run the ball, dominate that
- 23:12Speaker 2: and I think, you know it'll play into their position.
- 23:14Speaker 2: But defensively, I think Byu is gonna step up here
- 23:18Speaker 2: really make Cincinnati struggle. Uh, And I like Byu to
- 23:22Speaker 2: cover a short number. You got anything with me on
- 23:24Speaker 2: that one?
- 23:24Speaker 3: Yeah. I said it all year that Cincinnati was gonna
- 23:27Speaker 3: win just enough games that they couldn't fire Scott Saddlefield,
- 23:31Speaker 3: and that's exactly where we're gonna end up. This team's
- 23:34Speaker 3: probably better than their record. I bet Cincinnati fans are
- 23:37Speaker 3: pissed of where they're at. They very easily probably should
- 23:41Speaker 3: have won that Nebraska game to start. That's one game
- 23:43Speaker 3: for sure, But at the end of the day, I
- 23:45Speaker 3: think by You just comes in and gets it done.
- 23:47Speaker 3: I think they're gonna play bully ball with these guys.
- 23:51Speaker 2: I agree, and I've watched them play in person, and
- 23:53Speaker 2: they're a physical budge and I think they're gonna wear
- 23:55Speaker 2: Cincinnati down in that one. Uh, let's go a little
- 23:57Speaker 2: snake in the toilet, baby Florida at home. Tennessee's got
- 24:01Speaker 2: to travel down to games. We'll play here. Line's four
- 24:03Speaker 2: over unders fifty seven and a half. The one thing
- 24:06Speaker 2: you can say about this Florida team is they haven't
- 24:09Speaker 2: given up with BILLI Goanzalees coaching these guys. They get
- 24:12Speaker 2: the big wide receiver back, the freshman kids supposed to
- 24:14Speaker 2: be coming back in this one. But the thing that's
- 24:16Speaker 2: interesting to me is you look at this line. Seven
- 24:19Speaker 2: and three against three and seven. Public's going to be
- 24:22Speaker 2: all over Tennessee if I had to guess in the spot.
- 24:25Speaker 2: But they're having to go down to the swamp. Tennessee
- 24:27Speaker 2: has Bandy on deck next week, which is a much
- 24:29Speaker 2: bigger game than it normally is. And I just think Tennessee,
- 24:33Speaker 2: I think Florida can hang around. I'll take Florida plus four.
- 24:37Speaker 3: I think the Gators are going to hang around. Look,
- 24:39Speaker 3: they played really well, I mean played really well at
- 24:44Speaker 3: Ole Miss last week. Very easily could have won that
- 24:47Speaker 3: football game. Bad interception when they were driving to take
- 24:51Speaker 3: the lead late in that ball game was the difference
- 24:54Speaker 3: in the ball game. And it was just he tried
- 24:57Speaker 3: to throw across his body running. Just a poor decision
- 24:59Speaker 3: on him part. But the team's playing hard for Billy
- 25:02Speaker 3: Gonzales and uh, not to be confused with someun belt Billy,
- 25:07Speaker 3: but we have BILLI Goanzales. He does have. He has
- 25:12Speaker 3: been doing a good job with this team. But I
- 25:14Speaker 3: agree with you, this is a This is kind of
- 25:16Speaker 3: a big deal at Tennessee Vandy game looks large. And
- 25:19Speaker 3: I'll give you one more here. I think you've got
- 25:22Speaker 3: a snake in the toilet game with Kentucky and Vandy.
- 25:25Speaker 3: I think to see. I think it's the exact same thing.
- 25:28Speaker 3: I think both of these games. Man, they better be
- 25:31Speaker 3: ready to play well because I think they're gonna get
- 25:34Speaker 3: both of that other team's best shot. And do what
- 25:38Speaker 3: do we get from the favorites? Is the It is
- 25:41Speaker 3: the key in this and the key in this ball game.
- 25:44Speaker 3: I ain't Florida's got the best chance to win this game. Look,
- 25:47Speaker 3: they hate each other and this is a rivalry. Uh
- 25:50Speaker 3: And I ain't Florida's gonna give it all they got
- 25:52Speaker 3: and then they got Florida State next week. They're gonna
- 25:54Speaker 3: go out punching and I think I think that's what
- 25:58Speaker 3: we get like this game. I agree with you, this's
- 26:00Speaker 3: got a chance to be sneaky, doesn't see. Better be ready, buddy,
- 26:04Speaker 3: they better be ready.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Let's go Chop Chop, gator Baby. Washington State traveling back
- 26:09Speaker 2: across the country. This is their second trip to Virginia
- 26:12Speaker 2: this season. Never mind the fact that they also had
- 26:15Speaker 2: to travel to Old Miss to play game. They've done
- 26:17Speaker 2: really well in those games, didn't win, but did cover
- 26:20Speaker 2: in both of those spots. This is a game. I
- 26:22Speaker 2: think they're running into a bad position. They matching JMU,
- 26:25Speaker 2: who's nine to one straight up seven and three against
- 26:28Speaker 2: the number Jamie's laying thirteen and a half. I think
- 26:31Speaker 2: Bob Chesney knows exactly what he's got. I think he
- 26:34Speaker 2: knows he has to win and he needs some style points.
- 26:37Speaker 2: Even though Washington State isn't a quote unquote Power League
- 26:40Speaker 2: team anymore, there's still a little bit of that perception.
- 26:43Speaker 2: And I think JMU puts the hammer down on Washington State.
- 26:47Speaker 2: And also, this is a weird bodyclock game. This game
- 26:50Speaker 2: kicks off at one o'clock Eastern, which is ten am
- 26:53Speaker 2: in the pulues where these guys are going to be
- 26:55Speaker 2: coming from. And that's a bad spot for me, and
- 27:00Speaker 2: so give me JMU minus thirteen and a half. I
- 27:03Speaker 2: like this splick quite a bit.
- 27:04Speaker 3: I like JMU here too. Lain't a lot of chalk,
- 27:06Speaker 3: but I like JMU. Even though Washington State has done
- 27:09Speaker 3: well in those travel games, they've caught those teams looking
- 27:12Speaker 3: past them. Virginia. I mean, oh miss was sleepwalking. I mean,
- 27:18Speaker 3: I mean it was bad. They looked so bad. There
- 27:21Speaker 3: were so much more talented, just mistake after mistake lethargic,
- 27:25Speaker 3: hella crowd. I don't even think ever left the grove
- 27:28Speaker 3: the You know, they didn't care. Their team didn't care.
- 27:32Speaker 3: They got lucky to get out of there with the
- 27:33Speaker 3: winds just because they were sleepwalking. That's not going to
- 27:35Speaker 3: be the case with JMU this weekend. I think they
- 27:38Speaker 3: get a full shot and they play hard. They know
- 27:41Speaker 3: they're right here on the verge of the playoff, and
- 27:45Speaker 3: I ain't they put wood out there on wazoo.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Do travel to Chapel Hill, folks, if you've never been
- 27:52Speaker 2: to this part of the country. These two campuses are
- 27:55Speaker 2: about eleven to fifteen miles apart. You can drive on
- 27:58Speaker 2: a two lane road right from Duke's door, and you'll
- 28:01Speaker 2: end up right there walking into North Carolina's campus. Beautiful
- 28:04Speaker 2: place to play football. Duke's defense is ass complete. Ass
- 28:10Speaker 2: They're giving up twenty nine once a game they have
- 28:13Speaker 2: not played well. This team is so far from where
- 28:15Speaker 2: we thought they were gonna believe when they played Illinois
- 28:17Speaker 2: early this season, North Carolina four and six could even
- 28:21Speaker 2: make it to a bowl game. My man, Bill Belichick
- 28:24Speaker 2: this week was spotted going to an adult cheer competition
- 28:29Speaker 2: for his twenty four year old or twenty six year
- 28:31Speaker 2: old girlfriend.
- 28:32Speaker 3: Has anybody fallen any farther than Bill? But hey, look,
- 28:36Speaker 3: if this whole deal with his twenty four year old
- 28:39Speaker 3: girlfriend does not show you that it is undefeated and untied,
- 28:44Speaker 3: nothing is ever going to show you. I mean that, dude,
- 28:48Speaker 3: is that an adult cheering competition has a set? Man,
- 28:53Speaker 3: You only show up with those of your watching your grandkid.
- 28:57Speaker 3: I mean, he's old enough for to be his grandkid,
- 28:59Speaker 3: but it's not. It's his girlfriend. But you know what
- 29:02Speaker 3: I'm gonna do. I want to bet on the old
- 29:04Speaker 3: bastard this year, this week. I can't believe that I'm
- 29:08Speaker 3: taking this game, but I am. I think you're I
- 29:11Speaker 3: think You just said it one hundred percent right. You
- 29:13Speaker 3: and I were talking earlier and you said, when they
- 29:15Speaker 3: scored twenty, they win every game they've scored twenty points
- 29:19Speaker 3: they've won. I don't know how you don't score twenty
- 29:22Speaker 3: on this tech on this duke. Defense. As bad as
- 29:24Speaker 3: they're playing right now, they were awful, really really bad
- 29:28Speaker 3: on defense in that Clemson game, even though they won.
- 29:33Speaker 3: They've been terrible against Yukon. They were terrible last week.
- 29:36Speaker 3: I think we get another terrible defensive performance in a
- 29:39Speaker 3: rivalry game. I ain't Bill Belly gets it done in
- 29:45Speaker 3: this ball game, and I cannot believe, cannot believe that
- 29:50Speaker 3: I'm taking this game.
- 29:54Speaker 2: It's gross. I mean, by seven to might's won twenty.
- 29:59Speaker 2: Coastal Caroline team's kind of been up and down. We
- 30:02Speaker 2: played a couple of weeks ago. Didn't go well for us,
- 30:04Speaker 2: getting twenty four and a half against South Carolina team
- 30:07Speaker 2: that just absolutely fell apart last week, and I kind
- 30:10Speaker 2: of wonder how much bounced they've got left in their step.
- 30:14Speaker 2: They also have Clemson on deck next week and they're
- 30:17Speaker 2: three and seven. They can't go to a bull game.
- 30:20Speaker 2: I playing Coastal and for you know, rolling in and
- 30:24Speaker 2: their turquoise from the dirty myrtle. I don't think they're
- 30:27Speaker 2: gonna get up for this one. Give me Coastal plus
- 30:29Speaker 2: twenty four and a half in a dirty spot Saturday afternoon.
- 30:33Speaker 3: I will tell you. And look you got You're getting
- 30:35Speaker 3: a hook here too. And I like this. I like
- 30:38Speaker 3: this hook a lot because again, thirty eight to fourteen
- 30:42Speaker 3: and you cover, you know, I do. I think that
- 30:45Speaker 3: South Carolina's gonna win. Yeah, probably, but man, this has
- 30:49Speaker 3: just I mean egg city written all over it. But
- 30:52Speaker 3: traditionally this is where Shane Biember's made his hay, I mean,
- 30:56Speaker 3: is in games like this. So I think they're gonna win.
- 31:01Speaker 3: But Coastal has been a lot better. They've been a
- 31:03Speaker 3: lot better since they made the quarterbacks whitch. And so
- 31:07Speaker 3: I think there's enough in this tank to cover what
- 31:10Speaker 3: is a big, big number for a team that is
- 31:12Speaker 3: floundering big time.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Oklahoma be at home, hosting early game against Maszoo. Lying
- 31:20Speaker 2: here seven and a half over under forty one and
- 31:22Speaker 2: a half. Look Oklahoma eight and two straight up. They
- 31:26Speaker 2: have a pathway to get themselves into the College Football Playoff,
- 31:29Speaker 2: which is good for ventables. This was a hard fucking schedule,
- 31:33Speaker 2: and when you roll into your quarterback has something wrong
- 31:36Speaker 2: with his hand midway through the season, and you're still
- 31:39Speaker 2: able to navigate what you've got. And if just lean
- 31:41Speaker 2: on this defense, run the ball, and just go out
- 31:45Speaker 2: and win dirty, greasy games. And that's what he's been
- 31:48Speaker 2: doing all season. Miszoo, with the backup quarterback Zolars, he's
- 31:52Speaker 2: not gonna be able to get it done. I don't
- 31:53Speaker 2: think they're gonna try to lean on a mite hardy
- 31:56Speaker 2: to run the rock and against this defense, it's just
- 31:59Speaker 2: not good. Had they lost last week, I would probably
- 32:02Speaker 2: be looking at this game a little bit differently. But
- 32:04Speaker 2: the fact that Oklahoma can see it and say, damn it,
- 32:07Speaker 2: we can get in. I think you're gonna get a
- 32:09Speaker 2: full effort from these guys. I wanna buy the hook,
- 32:11Speaker 2: get it down to seven, But I think Oklahoma.
- 32:13Speaker 3: I think the guys ik it's my favorite game of
- 32:16Speaker 3: the week. I don't know how Missoo's gonna score because
- 32:19Speaker 3: after watching them last week against Mississippi State, that look
- 32:23Speaker 3: Harty's great and he's a good player, and that offense,
- 32:26Speaker 3: and let me tell you something, that tight end from Missouri,
- 32:30Speaker 3: Oh you talk about a dog. I'm a guy that
- 32:32Speaker 3: loves to watch the game, and I love tight ends
- 32:35Speaker 3: and always have. It's just a position that that that
- 32:38Speaker 3: I played some you know, I just like watching it
- 32:41Speaker 3: because I think there's such a valuable tool in an
- 32:44Speaker 3: offense that guy gets at. There are NFL gms that
- 32:50Speaker 3: cannot wait to get a hold of that guy. You
- 32:54Speaker 3: don't see many dudes get after blocking the way that
- 32:56Speaker 3: guy gets after blocking. I mean he gets after. They're
- 33:01Speaker 3: a really good football team, and I like drinkuts. I'll
- 33:04Speaker 3: be honest. I think he does a really really good job.
- 33:07Speaker 3: I think his kids love him. But I just don't
- 33:09Speaker 3: know how they're gonna score because they're not gonna be
- 33:11Speaker 3: able to run the football. If they couldn't have run
- 33:13Speaker 3: the football on Mississippi State last week, they don't beat them,
- 33:17Speaker 3: and they know their quarterback can't do some things and
- 33:21Speaker 3: this Oklahoma defense is gonna pressure him, and Missisippi State
- 33:24Speaker 3: can't pressure the quarterback. This is a completely different team
- 33:29Speaker 3: and State was in that game. They gave up two
- 33:31Speaker 3: pick six's and had seven plays inside the five and
- 33:36Speaker 3: didn't score. And that ain't happening this week. This is
- 33:41Speaker 3: my favorite game of the week. I think Oklahoma's going
- 33:44Speaker 3: to drill them. Do I think it's only gonna be
- 33:46Speaker 3: twenty four to seven or something. Yeah, that's probably about
- 33:49Speaker 3: what I think it's gonna be. So Unders probably a
- 33:52Speaker 3: really good play, but man, I think they are going
- 33:55Speaker 3: to hammer them because I don't know how Missoo's gonna
- 33:57Speaker 3: move the football.
- 34:00Speaker 2: I agree with you. I'm give me the Sooners.
- 34:01Speaker 3: Baby.
- 34:01Speaker 2: We'll lay in one of our ten games we got
- 34:03Speaker 2: on the board this week next and I want to
- 34:04Speaker 2: go to Utah laying seventeen and a.
- 34:06Speaker 3: Half all the Before we leave this game, one thing
- 34:09Speaker 3: I will tell you about this game. Make sure that
- 34:12Speaker 3: Penn State transfer is not going to be back before
- 34:14Speaker 3: you bet this game, because he went through warm ups
- 34:18Speaker 3: last week, so there's a chance that's true plays, so
- 34:22Speaker 3: there's a chance he plays. This bet is all based
- 34:26Speaker 3: on the third team kid being the Quarterbacksolers or whatever
- 34:29Speaker 3: it is, So do not take this bet if he's back,
- 34:33Speaker 3: because I think they're a different football team if that's
- 34:35Speaker 3: the case, because they're gonna be able to throw the
- 34:37Speaker 3: football and they're gonna trust him to throw the football
- 34:40Speaker 3: down the field. So just keep an eye on who
- 34:43Speaker 3: the quarterback is in this ball game. That's that's the
- 34:45Speaker 3: key for this bet.
- 34:48Speaker 2: Moving on, let's go up to Salt Lake the afternoon
- 34:51Speaker 2: game that we've got here, they're Utah hosting Kansas State.
- 34:55Speaker 2: Seventeen and a half's the number. Utah's eight and two.
- 34:58Speaker 2: They still have a chance to get in the Big
- 34:59Speaker 2: twelve Champampionship. They're getting a lot of love from the
- 35:02Speaker 2: committee as well. Utah is also eight and two straight
- 35:05Speaker 2: up with the only two games they didn't covered, with
- 35:06Speaker 2: two games that they lost. Things that I had uncovered
- 35:09Speaker 2: about this is interesting this week. You know, the running
- 35:12Speaker 2: back for Kansas State is out, so they're really relying
- 35:15Speaker 2: on every Johnson to try to get things done. He
- 35:17Speaker 2: struggled all season long. They started really slowly. This kid,
- 35:21Speaker 2: I don't think can beat you with this arm. He
- 35:23Speaker 2: wants to run. And where this is going to be
- 35:25Speaker 2: interesting is Utah plays at one of the highest percentages
- 35:29Speaker 2: of man coverage in the country, and so over eighty
- 35:33Speaker 2: percent of passing downs they're in man. And so when
- 35:36Speaker 2: you look at that, I don't think the passing windows
- 35:38Speaker 2: are going to be there for every Johnson to get
- 35:40Speaker 2: comfortable with it. You've got a heavy blitz package from
- 35:43Speaker 2: Utah's defense, that's there. I don't think he's going to
- 35:46Speaker 2: be able to run the ball against this team. The
- 35:48Speaker 2: offensive line for Kansas State hasn't performed well all season,
- 35:51Speaker 2: and so it's a big number. But when Utah beats people,
- 35:55Speaker 2: they beat people. They're averaging forty one points a game
- 35:58Speaker 2: and they're only giving up fifteen give me the oots
- 36:00Speaker 2: Land seventeen and a half.
- 36:02Speaker 3: Yea, this is more of a vote against k State.
- 36:05Speaker 3: I mean, look, look how bad they were last week
- 36:07Speaker 3: against Oklahoma State. I mean they were terrible. I think
- 36:12Speaker 3: that's why this is the only reason this line's as
- 36:14Speaker 3: big as it is. They're going on the road again
- 36:18Speaker 3: to Utah, back to back road games. I agree with you.
- 36:20Speaker 3: I think they get drilled.
- 36:23Speaker 2: Baylor traveling out to the desert to play Arizona. Man
- 36:27Speaker 2: Brennan has done one hell of a job turning this
- 36:30Speaker 2: Arizona team around, and next week they get the chance
- 36:33Speaker 2: to come back from last year when they just absolutely
- 36:35Speaker 2: got embarrassed in that Arizona State game the Territorial cuple
- 36:38Speaker 2: believe they call it. But this Baylor defense is terrible.
- 36:41Speaker 2: I think Arizona is going to run the rock. Nor
- 36:43Speaker 2: Vicina's gonna have a huge day Land seven. Give me
- 36:47Speaker 2: that Baylor's defense is a mess. The Arizona passing defense
- 36:50Speaker 2: is actually really good. And the other thing too, you know,
- 36:52Speaker 2: because Baylor's God's team. But there's a safety that plays
- 36:56Speaker 2: for Arizona, Scott, whose first name is Genesis, and so
- 36:59Speaker 2: you know he's a little blessed as well. And so
- 37:01Speaker 2: give me there's little wildcats. A minutus seven of this one.
- 37:04Speaker 3: I love it. I agree with you six and a
- 37:06Speaker 3: half in my book. So it's bouncing around six and
- 37:08Speaker 3: a half, seven I and a half, it's it is, man,
- 37:12Speaker 3: if you can get it six and a half. I
- 37:14Speaker 3: think that is definitely a great play. But Arizona is
- 37:18Speaker 3: looking better. They looked good last week. I thought they
- 37:21Speaker 3: might get get caught up by my man Scott Sadderfield
- 37:24Speaker 3: couldn't close the deal last week. I couldn't get it
- 37:26Speaker 3: done and uh and and didn't cover at that. But
- 37:31Speaker 3: I think Arizona. I think Arizona goes up there and
- 37:34Speaker 3: comes home and gets the gets a w against Baylor
- 37:37Speaker 3: and covers. This is what I think is a short number.
- 37:40Speaker 2: Arkansas plus eight and a half travels to Austin. This
- 37:43Speaker 2: is an old old Southwest Conference rivel, I'd love to
- 37:46Speaker 2: see this game get rolling again. Getting eight and a
- 37:48Speaker 2: half Texas over under. He's fifty eight and a half.
- 37:51Speaker 2: You know, Texas coming in last week after just getting
- 37:54Speaker 2: pants against Georgia. This Texas team is seven and three
- 37:57Speaker 2: straight up. But to me, they're more with their against
- 38:00Speaker 2: the spread record is, which is two and eight. This team,
- 38:03Speaker 2: I think has been through Gaizy all year. The defense
- 38:06Speaker 2: isn't nearly as good as I thought it was going
- 38:08Speaker 2: to be in arch Banning. You don't know what you're
- 38:10Speaker 2: gonna get. Last last week in that Georgia game, they
- 38:14Speaker 2: got beat that kind of knocked them out of college
- 38:16Speaker 2: football playoff. Then on top of that, they've got A
- 38:18Speaker 2: and M next week on a short week that they'll
- 38:21Speaker 2: be playing on Friday against an Arkansas team that's two
- 38:24Speaker 2: and eight without a coach. Do you think they're really
- 38:26Speaker 2: fired up to play this game? They're not skuy to
- 38:29Speaker 2: know who is Bobby Petrino, Yes.
- 38:33Speaker 3: Sir, fifty seven and a half is the over under.
- 38:37Speaker 3: I mean, I mean, may this made me scratch my head.
- 38:41Speaker 3: I'm like Mississippi State was moving the ball on these people,
- 38:45Speaker 3: made no mistake on one thing on the Hogs. They
- 38:47Speaker 3: got a ton of close losses. Yeah, I mean a ton.
- 38:51Speaker 3: This team is so close to being a seven and
- 38:54Speaker 3: five football team and people don't realize it. And at
- 38:58Speaker 3: the end of the day, that's who Texas is. Iikis
- 39:00Speaker 3: games more closely matched than people realize. Dalen Green is
- 39:05Speaker 3: healthy and plays well, They're gonna cover this number. That's
- 39:08Speaker 3: the bottom line. I think this is a close game.
- 39:10Speaker 2: I agree with you give me the Hogs in that one.
- 39:13Speaker 2: A couple more we got out of line USC Oregon.
- 39:16Speaker 2: I think USC will be the most public dog right here.
- 39:20Speaker 2: They're eight and two straight up, they're five and five
- 39:22Speaker 2: against the number. Lincoln Rally gets to stay on the
- 39:25Speaker 2: West coast, which he's bitched about having to travel to
- 39:27Speaker 2: the Midwest against this Oregon team. Problem is with this
- 39:30Speaker 2: USC team is I think they're kind of banged up
- 39:33Speaker 2: and I really think the physicality of Oregon is gonna
- 39:36Speaker 2: wear them down. Line opened at seven and a half.
- 39:38Speaker 2: It's popped all the way to nine and a half.
- 39:40Speaker 2: I think you're gonna have a ton of public support
- 39:42Speaker 2: on USC in this game at plus nine and a half,
- 39:46Speaker 2: because nobody remembers what Oregon's done except for their last
- 39:49Speaker 2: game against Iowa that they couldn't pull the margin out
- 39:51Speaker 2: on them. So if I'm playing it, I'm playing Oregon
- 39:54Speaker 2: minus nine and a half. But I haven't got down
- 39:56Speaker 2: on it yet.
- 39:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I want to. I'm with you. I want to
- 39:58Speaker 3: watch the book numbers see if this is a big
- 40:01Speaker 3: see where this is a big, big game it does.
- 40:03Speaker 3: S C is one of those teams that big money
- 40:06Speaker 3: comes in on on the public and so I'm gonna
- 40:09Speaker 3: be interested to see where that number was. This will
- 40:11Speaker 3: be a Saturday decision for me. But if I take it,
- 40:14Speaker 3: I'm taking order.
- 40:16Speaker 2: You have any interest in the Louisville s m U
- 40:18Speaker 2: game minus two and a half?
- 40:20Speaker 3: In that one kinda I wish I could go, I
- 40:24Speaker 3: really do. But uh, I think s m U is
- 40:29Speaker 3: probably the play in that game. There's it feels like
- 40:32Speaker 3: they're still fighting for something even though they're not fighting
- 40:35Speaker 3: for anything. Does that Does that make sense? I mean,
- 40:38Speaker 3: Brohm is they're basically the exact same football teams. But
- 40:42Speaker 3: I like, I like SMU in this game at home.
- 40:46Speaker 3: I think this is gonna be a I think that
- 40:48Speaker 3: Louisville's got some injuries and and and that's why they're
- 40:51Speaker 3: not the team that they were earlier in the year,
- 40:55Speaker 3: and I think s m U. I candidly, I think
- 40:57Speaker 3: they're gonna win this game and cover uh.
- 41:01Speaker 2: With North Texas traveling down to Houston to play Rice
- 41:04Speaker 2: laying seventeen and a half in a Saturday night matchup
- 41:07Speaker 2: with North Texas and Rices, North Texas is nine and
- 41:10Speaker 2: one against the number. Rice team is much improved. If
- 41:13Speaker 2: you haven't watched them play yet, They're smallish, they run
- 41:16Speaker 2: the ball a lot, and they kind of just take
- 41:18Speaker 2: the air out of it. But this North Texas team
- 41:21Speaker 2: again has got a shot to play in the tournament,
- 41:24Speaker 2: but they need to finish out strong. Don't want to
- 41:26Speaker 2: lay an egg here, and this Rice defense can't keep
- 41:29Speaker 2: up with what North Texa's is gonna do. I'm gonna
- 41:31Speaker 2: lay the big number with the screaming Eagles, seventeen and a.
- 41:33Speaker 3: Halfs Yeah, this seems this seems like you know what
- 41:37Speaker 3: My only concern is is when I looked at it,
- 41:40Speaker 3: I thought, Hell, this is no brain. They're gonna drill Rice.
- 41:42Speaker 3: That's honestly what I thought. That always scares me when
- 41:46Speaker 3: I'm looking at a seventeen and a half and I think, Hell,
- 41:48Speaker 3: that's they're gonna kill these guys, you know, So that
- 41:52Speaker 3: that's my only concern. I agree with you, I like
- 41:55Speaker 3: I like North Texas here. I think they get it done.
- 41:58Speaker 2: A couple more that you got. This is Scott Kentucky, Vanderbilt,
- 42:02Speaker 2: Kentucky getting nine and a half against Vandy again, Vandy's
- 42:06Speaker 2: looking ahead. They've got Tennessee out there. I just don't
- 42:09Speaker 2: know how excited they're going to be to play a
- 42:11Speaker 2: five and five Kentucky. What do you think?
- 42:14Speaker 3: I agree with you at Kentucky's just kind of mad.
- 42:16Speaker 3: But and this is more of a rivalry game than
- 42:19Speaker 3: people think. So I this is a game I'm not
- 42:22Speaker 3: going to bed home because Diego Pavia is one of
- 42:27Speaker 3: those guys that just he figures out it. Guy's a dog.
- 42:31Speaker 3: He just plays man, He just plays. He is not impressive.
- 42:35Speaker 3: You look at him. You don't know how he does it.
- 42:37Speaker 3: He's not fast yet he's always running in open space.
- 42:41Speaker 3: I mean, it's just the kids, just gritty and it's
- 42:44Speaker 3: just a just a dog. He just gets it done.
- 42:47Speaker 3: And so that's what scares me about this game. But
- 42:50Speaker 3: it feels like Kentucky's gonna be able to keep this
- 42:52Speaker 3: within the number because the defenses are both the better
- 42:54Speaker 3: sides of this ball.
- 42:57Speaker 2: Iowa laying sixteen and a half against Mission State. This
- 43:00Speaker 2: Michigan State team's bad. I was on them a couple
- 43:03Speaker 2: of times. I think they've quit. I think Iowa just
- 43:06Speaker 2: grinds these guys up into nothing. If this, if you
- 43:09Speaker 2: I looked up and saw that this game was twenty
- 43:11Speaker 2: seven to three in Michigan State was never in the game,
- 43:15Speaker 2: I wouldn't be surprised. I'm gonna lay it with Iowa
- 43:17Speaker 2: before it goes to seventeen.
- 43:18Speaker 3: I like it. Iwa man, We've liked them arow year.
- 43:21Speaker 3: This is the team they had. They've just had a
- 43:23Speaker 3: pretty tough schedule. Is the only reason this team's not
- 43:26Speaker 3: right there. They just stay very easily. Could have beaten Oregon.
- 43:31Speaker 3: You know this, this is this is a pretty good
- 43:33Speaker 3: This is the best of the next tier teams in
- 43:36Speaker 3: the Big Ten.
- 43:37Speaker 2: You're gonna lay twenty one and a half for LSU
- 43:40Speaker 2: against Western Kentucky. You gotta any interested in this morning?
- 43:42Speaker 3: Man? I actually like Western Kentucky here. I don't know
- 43:45Speaker 3: that LSU could beat anybody by twenty one and a
- 43:48Speaker 3: half anymore. I mean, look that defense is gonna give
- 43:51Speaker 3: Western Kentucky all kinds of problems, but at the end
- 43:54Speaker 3: of the day, this is still a team that wins
- 43:56Speaker 3: football games. I know. The talent is a complete disparity.
- 44:00Speaker 3: Twenty one and a half just seems so much for
- 44:02Speaker 3: a team that is floundering the way LSU is floundering.
- 44:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I would agree with that, that you're gonna make
- 44:07Speaker 2: a play. That would be my play there on the
- 44:10Speaker 2: other thing got left on the boards. Guy, it is
- 44:13Speaker 2: Utah State Presno State. Give me Bronco menden Hall plus three.
- 44:18Speaker 2: I am unimpressed with this Presno State team. I just
- 44:22Speaker 2: I don't think they're that good. I think what Utah
- 44:24Speaker 2: State's been putting together. They're eight and two. Straight up,
- 44:27Speaker 2: you're getting three points. Give me Bronco menden tal Baby,
- 44:30Speaker 2: I'll take that one. I'll do you one better. I'm
- 44:32Speaker 2: gonna give you a Bronco Menden Hall Temple underdog parlay.
- 44:38Speaker 2: I think we got a shot, baby, I think we
- 44:40Speaker 2: got a shot.
- 44:41Speaker 3: I agree with you. I like Utah State here. I
- 44:43Speaker 3: think Bronco is gonna get it done. I think Utah
- 44:45Speaker 3: State's pretty good football team. Nothing against Presno State, but
- 44:48Speaker 3: I like Temple. I like Temple, and Utah is my
- 44:52Speaker 3: underdog Parlay. So Temple and Utah State underdog Parlay. I
- 44:57Speaker 3: do have a little bit of love for Washington. I
- 44:58Speaker 3: think they're gonna beat up La going on the road,
- 45:02Speaker 3: you know, going on the road. I just think Ucla
- 45:05Speaker 3: is just a wounded football team. But Washington has not
- 45:08Speaker 3: been good on the road. But if I start gambling
- 45:11Speaker 3: late night now I got a little momentum on Saturday,
- 45:15Speaker 3: I'll probably get on Washington too.
- 45:17Speaker 1: I may give me.
- 45:18Speaker 2: I may throw a little Hawaii in there, plus three
- 45:21Speaker 2: on the money line and make me a little round
- 45:23Speaker 2: robin little Hawaii. I like that in Utah State. Yeah,
- 45:27Speaker 2: then you can carry over from Friday end of the Saturday.
- 45:30Speaker 3: I like it.
- 45:30Speaker 1: I'm excited Oklahoma.
- 45:32Speaker 2: I agree with you. If he doesn't play, I think
- 45:34Speaker 2: that's probably one of my favorite games on the board.
- 45:36Speaker 2: I really like Arizona the truck Baylor in that spot
- 45:40Speaker 2: that's there. And so it's one of those sleepy Saturdays. Man,
- 45:44Speaker 2: you've got the SEC that's playing the non cons that
- 45:46Speaker 2: are not very good good games anyway, But it's always
- 45:51Speaker 2: these types of weekends that something weird happens and so
- 45:54Speaker 2: you don't ever know when somebody's gonna lay a complete
- 45:56Speaker 2: egg and maybe ruin their whole season, or if vice
- 45:59Speaker 2: first of May, their whole season. So I'm excited about it. Folks,
- 46:02Speaker 2: end us up on Twitter, give us some reviews, some rating.
- 46:05Speaker 2: We appreciate everything. We love y'all, and we will talk
- 46:07Speaker 2: to y'all next week
