Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Now on the Voice of New York. It's the Mark
- 0:04Speaker 1: Simone Show on seven tenor.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Hey, it's spring. It's the first day of spring. How
- 0:13Speaker 2: do you like that? Winter is gone? It's over. It's
- 0:16Speaker 2: spring today. It's also Friday. A lot to talk about.
- 0:19Speaker 2: We'll give you all the latest on Iran. We'll give
- 0:21Speaker 2: you a complete update on the war. We'll get to
- 0:23Speaker 2: the bacheloret who should get fired over that mess. We'll
- 0:26Speaker 2: get to CBS speaking of firing, they're laying off a
- 0:30Speaker 2: lot of people today. We'll get to crazy Kathy Hochel.
- 0:34Speaker 2: We'll get to a crazy mayor, mom, Donny's looney wife.
- 0:38Speaker 2: We'll get to Bob Barker, We'll get to Chuck Schumer,
- 0:42Speaker 2: and a whole lot more coming up. So Iran, Well, hey,
- 0:47Speaker 2: we killed last night in one of our strikes. Well
- 0:51Speaker 2: I think it's Israel actually, but we killed the spokesperson,
- 0:55Speaker 2: the spokesman for the Iran Revolutionary Guard. It's not exactly
- 1:00Speaker 2: the safest job to have right now, the spokesman for
- 1:03Speaker 2: the Revolutionary Guard. He was killed last night, blown up.
- 1:08Speaker 2: The war continues. The USS Tripoli, a very serious warship,
- 1:13Speaker 2: is heading to Iran right now, along with some other assets,
- 1:17Speaker 2: you know, I'm sure Iran knows this, and then they
- 1:20Speaker 2: know things are going to escalate seriously when this stuff
- 1:23Speaker 2: gets there, the stuff heading their amphibious crafts that Tripoli
- 1:27Speaker 2: can do very very close up work with small planes,
- 1:32Speaker 2: helicopters probably be used to take out drones, all that
- 1:36Speaker 2: sort of stuff. And it will be a big help
- 1:39Speaker 2: in opening the Straits of horn Moose, which will open
- 1:41Speaker 2: in a couple of weeks. It'll be open. It's about
- 1:44Speaker 2: thirty nine ships a day, tankers thirty nine tankers a
- 1:47Speaker 2: day that come out of the Straits of horn Moose.
- 1:50Speaker 2: It doesn't affect us much because we don't use that oil,
- 1:54Speaker 2: but it affects worldwide prices. So you'll see a lot
- 2:00Speaker 2: of action when the ship gets there. So the next
- 2:03Speaker 2: two weeks you'll probably see just everything wiped out and
- 2:07Speaker 2: pretty much the end of all the offensive assets of Iran,
- 2:11Speaker 2: and then things will be different. Then you may see
- 2:13Speaker 2: a boot on the ground for a little for a
- 2:15Speaker 2: few minutes here and there, and then it should be
- 2:18Speaker 2: the mop up and clean up of all that. Now
- 2:20Speaker 2: we are talking to Iran. US officials and Iranian officials
- 2:25Speaker 2: are in talks back channel talks are taking place. But
- 2:29Speaker 2: also we're talking with people on the ground in Iran,
- 2:34Speaker 2: possible opposition people they want to revolt against this government,
- 2:39Speaker 2: people that might take over. We have people in the
- 2:41Speaker 2: intelligence community talking to them. So things are progressing. President
- 2:46Speaker 2: wants two hundred billion dollars in funding for the Iraq effort.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Congress doesn't want to give it to them. Of course,
- 2:54Speaker 2: Democrats and some Republicans yelling and screaming about that. We
- 2:57Speaker 2: don't really need two hundred billion. It cost about two
- 3:00Speaker 2: billion a day and it's not expected to go another
- 3:03Speaker 2: one hundred days. But the reason they want a big
- 3:06Speaker 2: amount is they want all the money right now. They
- 3:09Speaker 2: don't have to go back and ask for more money
- 3:11Speaker 2: during the summer or the fall, because that's when the
- 3:13Speaker 2: midterms take place. It will look bad to be asking
- 3:16Speaker 2: for more money then. So that's why they're asking for
- 3:19Speaker 2: a huge amount now. Democrats know that, and that's why
- 3:22Speaker 2: they're negotiating. They want to give it, give you a
- 3:25Speaker 2: little now, you have to keep coming back for more
- 3:27Speaker 2: because they want that to happen during the midterm race,
- 3:31Speaker 2: Trump having to ask for more money. So yesterday, the
- 3:34Speaker 2: Japanese Prime Minister is visiting the White House. And you
- 3:40Speaker 2: have to remember the fake news. The Democrats, the media
- 3:43Speaker 2: have one mission, and that is to just wipe out Trump,
- 3:47Speaker 2: make him look bad. Whatever he does is horrendous, anything
- 3:50Speaker 2: he does is awful. Even when it comes to US
- 3:54Speaker 2: at war, they'll take the other side. They'll hope it
- 3:58Speaker 2: goes badly. They'll hope it's a disaster. They'll hope we
- 4:00Speaker 2: screw up because it'll make Trump look bad. Anything to
- 4:03Speaker 2: make Trump look bad. And then they create this fake narrative.
- 4:09Speaker 2: They broadcast the fake narrative. It usually starts with the
- 4:11Speaker 2: New York Times of the Washington Post, and then all
- 4:14Speaker 2: the TV and all the websites pick it up, and
- 4:17Speaker 2: then all the sheep out there start repeating it. You know,
- 4:20Speaker 2: when the Iran war started, a New York Times, a
- 4:23Speaker 2: violation of international law, and then that's all you heard.
- 4:26Speaker 2: It's a total violation of international law. And then all
- 4:31Speaker 2: the sheep are running around violated international law. Nobody ever
- 4:36Speaker 2: bothered to tell them. There's no such thing as international law.
- 4:40Speaker 2: It doesn't exist anywhere. I guess you could look at
- 4:42Speaker 2: court decisions around the world, but it doesn't affect us.
- 4:46Speaker 2: It has no standing. I mean, it doesn't there is
- 4:49Speaker 2: no international law that we have to follow. We follow
- 4:53Speaker 2: only but don't tell them that. Then even if you
- 4:55Speaker 2: did tell them, they won't believe you. So the current
- 5:00Speaker 2: whatever you're going to hear for the next day or two,
- 5:01Speaker 2: you'll see it on the Sunday shows, was the Trump
- 5:05Speaker 2: seriously offended the Japanese Prime minister. He said something so
- 5:10Speaker 2: outrageous to her. The Japanese prime minister, by the way,
- 5:14Speaker 2: loves him, loves him. And you'll notice you're not supposed
- 5:18Speaker 2: to do this. She kept calling them Donald in the meeting,
- 5:21Speaker 2: in front of the press, all the press there. Even
- 5:23Speaker 2: if you're his closest friend on Earth, you call him
- 5:25Speaker 2: mister president in public. Maybe in private, he'll tell you.
- 5:28Speaker 2: In private, call me Donald, But in public you say
- 5:32Speaker 2: mister President. But she kept saying Donald. And she was
- 5:34Speaker 2: doing that deliberately because President Trump is loved in Japan.
- 5:38Speaker 2: She's the new president, and she wants the population, the
- 5:42Speaker 2: public of Japan to see that she has a good
- 5:45Speaker 2: relationship with him. That's very important for her. So she
- 5:47Speaker 2: kept calling him Donald. And even the interpreter's giving her
- 5:50Speaker 2: a look like you want me to say Donald, But
- 5:53Speaker 2: he said Donald. So this is the line. This is
- 5:56Speaker 2: the fake news went crazy with the sheep, will all
- 6:00Speaker 2: go crazy repeating this. The reporter asks about the attack
- 6:05Speaker 2: in Iran, it's kind of a dumb question. Why did
- 6:08Speaker 2: you make it a surprise. Why didn't you tell your allies? Well,
- 6:10Speaker 2: first of all, we can't trust these allies right now,
- 6:13Speaker 2: and you have to keep it a surprise. The attack
- 6:15Speaker 2: on Iran the first wave. The whole secret of it
- 6:20Speaker 2: was the surprise, because that's how we took out the
- 6:22Speaker 2: Ayatola and the top forty leaders all at once. They
- 6:27Speaker 2: had no idea an attack was coming, so they actually held
- 6:30Speaker 2: a meeting out in the open. They all got together
- 6:33Speaker 2: in one building and met, and that's where we blew
- 6:35Speaker 2: them all up and got the Ayatola. If you had
- 6:38Speaker 2: told the allies, they would have leaked it to somebody
- 6:41Speaker 2: and there never would have been that meeting, So we
- 6:43Speaker 2: never would have gotten the Ayatola and forty one leaders
- 6:46Speaker 2: the first day. But the reporter asked him, why did
- 6:48Speaker 2: you keep it a secret?
- 6:49Speaker 3: One thing?
- 6:50Speaker 4: You don't want to signal too much, you know when
- 6:52Speaker 4: we go in, we went in very hard, and we
- 6:55Speaker 4: didn't tell anybody about it because we wanted surprise. Who
- 6:59Speaker 4: knows better about surprise in Japan, he why didn't you
- 7:03Speaker 4: tell me about Pearl Harbor? Okay, right, he's asking me,
- 7:10Speaker 4: do you believe in surprise? I think much more so
- 7:13Speaker 4: than us.
- 7:14Speaker 2: All right, now, you're gonna see this on the Sunday shows.
- 7:16Speaker 2: You see this all over the thing, and it was
- 7:17Speaker 2: outrageously How dare he say something like, well, okay, you're
- 7:20Speaker 2: not supposed to if you're the president. I mean, you
- 7:23Speaker 2: can't picture Bush Obama, anybody making a Pearl Harbor joke
- 7:27Speaker 2: in front of the Japanese Prime Minister. You're not supposed
- 7:31Speaker 2: to do it. But he's not. Trump's not a politician.
- 7:33Speaker 2: He's not a politician. He's a real regular guy and
- 7:38Speaker 2: he's got a good Don Rickles side to him, and
- 7:40Speaker 2: people love it. And actually, there's some people that are
- 7:45Speaker 2: never gonna like Trump. They want a traditional politician. They
- 7:48Speaker 2: like the formality of a professional politician. They don't want
- 7:52Speaker 2: a real guy from real life coming into government talking
- 7:55Speaker 2: like that. They don't want the Don Rickles stuff coming out.
- 7:58Speaker 2: But let's listen to that again. I think it was
- 8:00Speaker 2: great moment. If you love Trump, this is one of
- 8:01Speaker 2: his finest moments.
- 8:03Speaker 4: One thing you don't want to signal too much. You
- 8:05Speaker 4: know when we go in, we went in very hard,
- 8:08Speaker 4: and we didn't tell anybody about it because we wanted surprise.
- 8:12Speaker 5: Who knows better about surprise than Japan? Okay, Hey, why
- 8:16Speaker 5: didn't you tell me about Pearl Harbor? Okay, right, he's
- 8:22Speaker 5: askab me. Do you believe in surprise? I think much
- 8:26Speaker 5: more so than us.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, I know you're not supposed to do
- 8:30Speaker 2: that if you're a present, but it's great. It's a
- 8:31Speaker 2: great moment, and it's absolutely true, and we have a
- 8:35Speaker 2: right to make Pearl Harbor jokes if we if we
- 8:37Speaker 2: want to. Hey, as I said, over there at CBS,
- 8:40Speaker 2: they're going to lay off a lot of people today.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Six percent of the news force, the workforce, six percent
- 8:46Speaker 2: will be laid off today right over there in the
- 8:48Speaker 2: fifty seventh Street. They think the total will reach fifteen
- 8:51Speaker 2: percent in the coming weeks. It's they describe it as
- 8:55Speaker 2: an industry shift. Well, yeah, a lot of people work
- 8:59Speaker 2: in these places. I mean ton of people. You know,
- 9:01Speaker 2: in the good old days, if you were CBS Nightly
- 9:03Speaker 2: News you had eight nine million viewers, Primetime you had
- 9:07Speaker 2: twenty million viewers. Morning show you had five six million viewers.
- 9:12Speaker 2: It's a different world now. Nightly News three and a
- 9:15Speaker 2: half million viewers, Prime Time maybe six million viewers, Morning
- 9:19Speaker 2: show maybe one and a half, maybe one million. You
- 9:22Speaker 2: don't have the audience anymore. And when the audience drops
- 9:26Speaker 2: by like seventy five percent, so do the advertising rates
- 9:29Speaker 2: that the sponsor pays. And then your revenue is less.
- 9:33Speaker 2: And if your revenue is a lot less, you got
- 9:35Speaker 2: to cut your workforce. If you had eight thousand people
- 9:38Speaker 2: working there, you got to cut it to four thousand
- 9:40Speaker 2: or something like that. So that's what's going on, as
- 9:42Speaker 2: the new CBS News president says, it's industry wide, an
- 9:46Speaker 2: industry shift. It'll go on at all the different networks,
- 9:50Speaker 2: and it's got to happen. Gotta happen. So the Bachelourette
- 9:59Speaker 2: on AB, they know you had The Bachelor, the Bachelorette,
- 10:05Speaker 2: so they do a whole season at once before it
- 10:07Speaker 2: even starts airing, kind of like The Apprentice. They film
- 10:10Speaker 2: the whole season and then they air it. The only
- 10:13Speaker 2: thing they say for the end is the final where
- 10:16Speaker 2: they choose the person that's got to be live. But
- 10:20Speaker 2: when you film the whole season, it's about two million
- 10:22Speaker 2: dollars an episode, believe it or not to do the
- 10:24Speaker 2: Bachelorette two million an episode. I think they had four
- 10:27Speaker 2: or five ready to go fully edited, and more in
- 10:31Speaker 2: the works. But the whole season can cost let's say
- 10:35Speaker 2: thirty thirty five million, some even say fifty, but figure
- 10:38Speaker 2: thirty five million to produce the season. So they picked
- 10:42Speaker 2: the Bachelorette, They filmed the whole thing with her, spend
- 10:45Speaker 2: all these millions. Then the video comes out of her
- 10:48Speaker 2: a few years ago. It turns out she's guilty of
- 10:52Speaker 2: serious domestic abuse and pleaded guilty and felony convictions. She
- 10:59Speaker 2: got probation, but the video comes out where she's with
- 11:04Speaker 2: the husband and their little little daughter is right there
- 11:06Speaker 2: two feet away, and she's screaming and cursing and fighting
- 11:10Speaker 2: and kicking with the husband, and then she picks up
- 11:13Speaker 2: a chair to whack them with the chair. I mean,
- 11:15Speaker 2: this is like Richie Aprile and ABC didn't know about it.
- 11:20Speaker 2: So because of this, because of this, they've canceled the
- 11:25Speaker 2: whole season. They're going to just throw it away and
- 11:27Speaker 2: not use it. Now, what would you do if you
- 11:28Speaker 2: were ABC? I don't know. I'd still watch it. I
- 11:32Speaker 2: think you know it's terrible, but I'd watch it. In fact,
- 11:38Speaker 2: if they're smart, they'll put it out somewhere on YouTube
- 11:40Speaker 2: or something, or just let people see it. But now
- 11:45Speaker 2: the real question, somebody's gonna get fired over this, because
- 11:48Speaker 2: when you hire people, he's supposed to do a background check.
- 11:51Speaker 2: You know, every major corporation when they hire people, they
- 11:55Speaker 2: got a whole company. That's what they do. Some security company,
- 11:59Speaker 2: detective agents. You just give them the names. They check
- 12:01Speaker 2: everybody out for you see if there's anything in their past.
- 12:05Speaker 2: You know, they find out something, you know, to suspend
- 12:07Speaker 2: a driver's license. Oh go check what that was all about. Right,
- 12:10Speaker 2: they have a drinking problem, you know, stuff like that.
- 12:13Speaker 2: And if you have a felony conviction domestic abuse, in fact,
- 12:17Speaker 2: you've got a few felonies and been arrested a few times,
- 12:20Speaker 2: that shows up on a background check. So if you're
- 12:22Speaker 2: going to spend thirty five million shooting this whole season,
- 12:26Speaker 2: before you risk the money, you think you do a
- 12:28Speaker 2: background check on your bachelorette. Somebody didn't do it. It's
- 12:32Speaker 2: a shock to me that before they'd commit to spend
- 12:36Speaker 2: all that money on one person, they would have a
- 12:38Speaker 2: background checked. And so they didn't do it, so I
- 12:40Speaker 2: would imagine somewhere at the top, somebody's getting fired.
- 12:45Speaker 6: Now.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Usually those shows, and I actually don't know about the Bachelotte,
- 12:47Speaker 2: usually's produced by a company who pays all this and
- 12:50Speaker 2: then they sell it to ABC, but usually ABC has
- 12:53Speaker 2: to kick in part of the financing. So whoever didn't
- 12:57Speaker 2: do that background check, don't be surprised if they get
- 12:59Speaker 2: fired over this, because it is a stupid thing. Hey,
- 13:02Speaker 2: I loved Bob Barker the Price is Right. I didn't
- 13:06Speaker 2: know him that well, but he was a guest on
- 13:07Speaker 2: the show all the time, and I hung out with
- 13:09Speaker 2: him a fewtures. Was the greatest guy, this wonderful, warm,
- 13:13Speaker 2: sweet guy. And now all this stuff is coming out.
- 13:17Speaker 2: One of you remember they had always had three beautiful
- 13:19Speaker 2: models on the prices, right, And you know, if you're
- 13:22Speaker 2: a little kid watching that, you like those. I like that,
- 13:24Speaker 2: Diane Parkinson, I like the other one. But turns out
- 13:28Speaker 2: Bob Barker on one of them, writes a book on
- 13:31Speaker 2: how awful he was and behind the scenes all the
- 13:33Speaker 2: terrible things going on, and then apparently there's a new
- 13:36Speaker 2: documentary coming out that shows him, and well it was
- 13:39Speaker 2: it became pretty well known. He and Diane Parkinson had
- 13:42Speaker 2: an affair. Okay, I think Barker's wife had died, but
- 13:49Speaker 2: now the other one is saying it wasn't. It was
- 13:51Speaker 2: more than an a fair. It was really annoying because
- 13:54Speaker 2: she described it as a dressing room sex in between
- 14:00Speaker 2: between shows. You know, they taped like four or five
- 14:01Speaker 2: shows in a day. But listen, that goes on all
- 14:05Speaker 2: the time, all the time. Try not see. I can't
- 14:10Speaker 2: mention it, should I mention any names? I don't know
- 14:13Speaker 2: what it was. I think Rodney, somebody named Rodney. I
- 14:17Speaker 2: won't say which Rodney, but a guy named Rodney was
- 14:19Speaker 2: appearing at a big venue and the agent was set
- 14:22Speaker 2: the checkout sent to check the venue over and Rodney said, hey,
- 14:25Speaker 2: make sure there's a bed in the dressing room. And
- 14:29Speaker 2: he called Rodney. He said, yeah, I got a bed
- 14:32Speaker 2: in the dressing room. The only problem is right next
- 14:33Speaker 2: to the kitchen, a lot of noise. And Rodney said,
- 14:37Speaker 2: I don't care. I'm not gonna be sleeping in that bed.
- 14:39Speaker 2: So well, it goes on all the time. It's pretty common,
- 14:43Speaker 2: so but I hate to see Bob Barker go through
- 14:45Speaker 2: all of that. Hey, Hey, we did our big event
- 14:48Speaker 2: last night, our big networking CEO event, and I have
- 14:53Speaker 2: we don't have all the pictures yet to put up online,
- 14:55Speaker 2: but it was at a beautiful venue two Park Avenue.
- 14:59Speaker 2: It's this office building thirty second in Park, absolutely magnificent.
- 15:03Speaker 2: They got the most beautiful venue on the top floor,
- 15:07Speaker 2: big rooftop venue. Spectacular the way it looks. It's phenomenal
- 15:12Speaker 2: for a networking event or any kind of event you
- 15:15Speaker 2: want to throw there. But it also has this outdoor
- 15:17Speaker 2: terrace that's spectacular. In fact, check my Instagram you'll see
- 15:20Speaker 2: a picture of me out in the terrace there. Mark
- 15:23Speaker 2: Simone NYC at Instagram. But when we get all the pictures,
- 15:26Speaker 2: we'll start posting. This great event. Met a lot of
- 15:28Speaker 2: great listeners there, a lot of our great advertisers and
- 15:31Speaker 2: sponsors were there. Hey, we'll take some calls. Next. Eight
- 15:34Speaker 2: hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Set up reseat on the iHeartRadio app to do wor
- 15:45Speaker 1: to hear Mark live. Set another for Mark's podcast to
- 15:49Speaker 1: hear him anytime. Now back to Mark Simone on woar.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Hey, we just found out Chuck Norris died. Chuck Norris dead.
- 15:59Speaker 2: It eighty six? Wow, he was eighty six. The hell
- 16:03Speaker 2: did that happen? He was eighty six already. I never
- 16:06Speaker 2: heard anybody say a bad word about Schuck Norris. Anyway,
- 16:09Speaker 2: let's take some calls. Let's go to Dave in Chicago. Dave,
- 16:12Speaker 2: how you doing, Good morning, Mark. I'm doing very well,
- 16:16Speaker 2: Thank you, Mark.
- 16:17Speaker 7: This is shocking. Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders was kicked
- 16:22Speaker 7: out or asked to leave a restaurant for making it
- 16:25Speaker 7: staff uncomfortable with her security detail. They occupied two tables.
- 16:31Speaker 7: And what kills me is not only is she the
- 16:34Speaker 7: governor of the state, but I think this sort of
- 16:37Speaker 7: thing happened to her once before. Where's the respect?
- 16:41Speaker 2: Well, you're talking about Trump arrangement syndrome. You're talking about crazy,
- 16:45Speaker 2: unhinged Democrats, left wing nuts, and I imagine the restaurant
- 16:51Speaker 2: a lot of younger workers was suffering severe cases of
- 16:54Speaker 2: Trump arrangement syndrome. It happens. I mean, hey, enjoy the
- 16:57Speaker 2: fact that they're so angry and riled up and so
- 17:02Speaker 2: just fuming an unhinged. You can get a kick out
- 17:04Speaker 2: of it. Now she is the governor I wouldn't be
- 17:08Speaker 2: surprised if this restaurant gets visited by every inspector in
- 17:12Speaker 2: the world from that state. Let's go to Michael on
- 17:15Speaker 2: the east Side. Michael, how you doing, Mark?
- 17:19Speaker 8: Yeah, the event last night was spectacular.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Oh you were there?
- 17:24Speaker 8: Yeah, In fact, you and I took a picture under
- 17:28Speaker 8: the chandelier, I said, Michael east Side. And in any event,
- 17:36Speaker 8: I met people on your team. There quite a group
- 17:41Speaker 8: of people.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Salespeople, management, a lot of Shelley Rome was there, Curtis
- 17:47Speaker 2: was there, Larry MENTI of course, yeah.
- 17:50Speaker 8: Heard Curtis. But the way the way it is done
- 17:53Speaker 8: was really top notch. And that space that you have there.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Wow, well we don't have it a building called to
- 18:01Speaker 2: Park Avenue. It's beautiful and they got the most beautiful.
- 18:05Speaker 8: That you used and uh, everything was just gotten top notch,
- 18:13Speaker 8: incredible people that he met there from your.
- 18:18Speaker 2: So thanks for coming, Thanks for being there last night.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Let's go to Mike and Florida. Mike, how you doing,
- 18:24Speaker 2: good morning, Mark? Yes, Mike.
- 18:26Speaker 9: To amplify what Dave was saying earlier about Sarah, how
- 18:29Speaker 9: could be being booted out of another restaurant? You know
- 18:33Speaker 9: they have cont you know Mom Donnie's wife. Every day
- 18:36Speaker 9: there's another thing about her liking somebody getting their head
- 18:39Speaker 9: chopped off, and not a peep is said about it.
- 18:41Speaker 9: And he's no boggain himself with some of the stuff
- 18:44Speaker 9: he said in the past. But Sarah Huckabe Sanders, who
- 18:47Speaker 9: couldn't be, you know, the most pleasant person on the
- 18:49Speaker 9: face of the earth, and she can't go out to
- 18:51Speaker 9: eat with her family, And it's astonishing that it's allowed,
- 18:55Speaker 9: and that nobody on the right side of the aisle
- 18:58Speaker 9: ever speaks out about it.
- 18:59Speaker 2: The vociferously look at the words discuss us and faciferously
- 19:04Speaker 2: whoa he's going multi syllabic on us here. Well, all right,
- 19:09Speaker 2: let's check back in about a month and see what
- 19:11Speaker 2: the condition to that restaurant is. Let's see if it's
- 19:14Speaker 2: you closed, gone, everybody's fired, or they've got ten thousand
- 19:18Speaker 2: violations from inspectors. Let's check out.
- 19:20Speaker 10: I'd love to see it.
- 19:22Speaker 2: All right, thanks for calling. Let's go to Joe in
- 19:25Speaker 2: Elmwood Park. Joe, how you doing, Good morning, Mark, how
- 19:28Speaker 2: you doing.
- 19:30Speaker 11: Isn't it a coincidence that New Jersey is one of
- 19:33Speaker 11: the states that doesn't want to open up their voting
- 19:35Speaker 11: Your registration books.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Yeah. The fraud, well, hey, fraud is one of the
- 19:41Speaker 2: main industry of New Jersey. Listen, everybody there will admit
- 19:46Speaker 2: fraud every inch of government fraud, every inch of everything
- 19:49Speaker 2: in the public stuff in New Jersey.
- 19:52Speaker 11: Yeah, and that's how we got our clown. Like New
- 19:54Speaker 11: York got the HCEL, we got our clown over here.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Yeah, you got a pretty silly well. Oh, if I
- 20:01Speaker 2: had to copy off somebody's test paper, i'd pick your governor.
- 20:04Speaker 2: I think she's got a few IQ points on Huckel,
- 20:07Speaker 2: But we'll get to Hockle in the next hour. She's
- 20:09Speaker 2: in a lot of heat virally all over the internet
- 20:13Speaker 2: for she just totally contradicted herself. You know, these Democrats
- 20:17Speaker 2: sometimes they don't realize they're admitting how stupid they were.
- 20:20Speaker 2: We'll get to that in the next hour. Schumer, same thing.
- 20:22Speaker 2: But when we come back to one of the greatest economists,
- 20:26Speaker 2: business writers, John Carney, Now he'll give us the real
- 20:29Speaker 2: story on oil prices. What's gonna happen with oil prices.
- 20:32Speaker 2: We'll get to that, we'll get to inflation, we'll get
- 20:34Speaker 2: to the economy, the real state of the economy. Coming
- 20:37Speaker 2: up next on seven to ten wr.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Let's get back to the Mark Simone Show on WR.
- 20:44Speaker 12: Well.
- 20:45Speaker 2: John Carney, the brilliant business editor Breitbart Business Digest. You
- 20:50Speaker 2: know the top economists in the world. A lot of
- 20:54Speaker 2: the business comunity. They subscribe to the Breitbart Business Digest.
- 20:57Speaker 2: You should too. It's great stuff. Every day. Just go
- 20:59Speaker 2: to bright Part and then go to newsletters and subscribe.
- 21:03Speaker 2: It's free. Just subscribe to the Bright Part Business Digest.
- 21:06Speaker 2: You can read John Carney there every day. John Carney,
- 21:09Speaker 2: how you doing? Bring me back on Hey, great to
- 21:15Speaker 2: have you. Hey. Now tell us about oil. Saudias are saying,
- 21:18Speaker 2: I go to one eighty of it. People all upset.
- 21:21Speaker 2: It's at one oh five, it's one ten. This is
- 21:23Speaker 2: all just temporary, isn't it.
- 21:26Speaker 13: It is temporary. But the problem is nobody knows how
- 21:31Speaker 13: long the temporary lasts. Actually, in some ways, if it
- 21:38Speaker 13: was seen as longer, we would actually get more US
- 21:41Speaker 13: investment in oil that would then help bring the oil
- 21:45Speaker 13: price down. They always say the cure for high prices
- 21:49Speaker 13: is high prices because it brings on more supply. Here
- 21:53Speaker 13: that's unfortunately not going to happen because the high prices
- 21:58Speaker 13: are being caused by the bottleneck at the straight of
- 22:02Speaker 13: her moves, and so nobody's going to invest in new
- 22:06Speaker 13: production in the US because that they expect that to
- 22:10Speaker 13: be cleared up.
- 22:12Speaker 2: The real problem, though, is when.
- 22:15Speaker 13: If we have oil at one hundred and ten dollars
- 22:18Speaker 13: a barrel, gasoline at around four dollars a gallon for
- 22:22Speaker 13: a week or two, we're okay. If it persists at
- 22:26Speaker 13: that level or goes even higher. The Saudi's talking about
- 22:30Speaker 13: one hundred and eighty dollars a barrel. That will be
- 22:33Speaker 13: very bad for the economy, not because it will cause inflation,
- 22:37Speaker 13: but because it will actually cost the opposite, an economic contraction.
- 22:42Speaker 13: Every dollar extra a gallon that you have to put
- 22:46Speaker 13: into your car is a dollar less that you have
- 22:49Speaker 13: to spend on the other goods and services that you
- 22:53Speaker 13: buy for your house, your family. So gas says a tax,
- 22:59Speaker 13: slowing down the economy, And the real question is just duration.
- 23:05Speaker 13: Persistence one hundred and ten dollars for a couple of days,
- 23:07Speaker 13: we're fined for a couple months, it will slow the economy.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Yeah, Now there's things the president can do, release oil
- 23:14Speaker 2: from the strategic reserve. He can turn up some spigots somewhere, right,
- 23:17Speaker 2: There's things we can do if we have to.
- 23:20Speaker 13: There are some things we can do, but it's actually
- 23:24Speaker 13: much more limited than people think.
- 23:26Speaker 7: We can.
- 23:29Speaker 13: Use the Strategic Controlling Reserve, but the problem is we
- 23:32Speaker 13: actually have a lot of supply in the US right now.
- 23:36Speaker 13: Can the President suspended the Jones Act, which controls what
- 23:39Speaker 13: kind of ships can move oil from the Gulf Coast
- 23:43Speaker 13: up the East Coast. That'll help a little bit, but
- 23:47Speaker 13: there's not a lot he can do because oil price
- 23:51Speaker 13: is not just on what's available right now, but what
- 23:54Speaker 13: people expect to be available in the future. Your reserves
- 23:58Speaker 13: have an endpoint to them. Again, if this ends quickly,
- 24:03Speaker 13: you probably can use the reserves to hold down prices
- 24:06Speaker 13: from going up. If it keeps going, you can't.
- 24:09Speaker 2: So let's say two weeks and six days from now
- 24:11Speaker 2: they reopen the straits of horn Moose, thirty forty tankers
- 24:15Speaker 2: a day are coming through. Then how long before the
- 24:17Speaker 2: price comes down?
- 24:20Speaker 13: Well they always say that, particularly gasoline prices, that they
- 24:25Speaker 13: rise like a rocket and fall like a feather. There's
- 24:30Speaker 13: good reason for that, in that the gas station owners
- 24:34Speaker 13: are nervous about dropping the price down too far, too quickly,
- 24:39Speaker 13: because they're always thinking, not of how much did I
- 24:43Speaker 13: pay for this gas? But how much will I have
- 24:45Speaker 13: to pay for my next tanker full of gas that
- 24:49Speaker 13: I have to fill up. You have to have make
- 24:50Speaker 13: enough money to be able to fill up the next tanker.
- 24:53Speaker 13: So it'll take some time for gasoline prices to come down.
- 24:56Speaker 13: Oil prices, though, will go down right away. I think
- 25:00Speaker 13: as long as people are confident that you know that
- 25:02Speaker 13: it's open, that it's going to stay open, we will
- 25:06Speaker 13: see a pretty dramatic decline in the price of oil,
- 25:09Speaker 13: and then gas will take a little longer to come down,
- 25:12Speaker 13: but not much. In pretty short order, we'll see the
- 25:16Speaker 13: prices start to decline, particularly if they get it done
- 25:19Speaker 13: quickly and get it done plausibly.
- 25:21Speaker 10: Right.
- 25:22Speaker 13: It can't just be, you know, something that where people
- 25:25Speaker 13: think it is, you know, we got a couple of
- 25:27Speaker 13: tankers through. It has to be that this twenty percent
- 25:31Speaker 13: of the world's oil supply that comes through there that
- 25:34Speaker 13: we expected to remain open for the foreseeable future.
- 25:38Speaker 2: Yeah, now, John Carney, whenever the price drops dramatically, like
- 25:42Speaker 2: under the first year of President Trump, it doesn't seem
- 25:44Speaker 2: to drop in California or New York. Why is that?
- 25:48Speaker 13: Yeah, Well, there's there's a couple of reasons, and they
- 25:51Speaker 13: all rhyme with left wing politics. The California has a
- 25:59Speaker 13: couple problems. One is that even though we produce a
- 26:03Speaker 13: lot of oil in the US, California doesn't really have
- 26:06Speaker 13: access to very much of it. It can get California
- 26:08Speaker 13: out of it, can get oil that's actually taken out
- 26:11Speaker 13: of the ground in California, but these giant Midwest oil
- 26:16Speaker 13: platforms we have, there's not a good pipeline to get
- 26:20Speaker 13: the oil across the whole country. That's a huge problem.
- 26:26Speaker 13: California and New York have enormous gasoline taxes.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Right now.
- 26:31Speaker 13: The national average price for gasoline is something like three
- 26:36Speaker 13: dollars in eighty eight, so it's called three dollars and
- 26:39Speaker 13: ninety cents. In California, it's well above five dollars that
- 26:42Speaker 13: it's approaching six dollars. So California is paying far more
- 26:46Speaker 13: for gas. But it's not because gas you know, gas
- 26:50Speaker 13: stations are greedier in California, or oil companies hate California.
- 26:55Speaker 13: It's because the climate change activists won't let us build
- 26:58Speaker 13: a pipeline to California, and California insists on taxing it.
- 27:03Speaker 13: They like expensive oil because they want to force people
- 27:06Speaker 13: to give up their internal combustion engines by making it
- 27:09Speaker 13: too expensive. So this is not an accident. It's not
- 27:12Speaker 13: even an unintended consequence of their policies. This is what
- 27:16Speaker 13: they were aiming for us to have, gastly more expensive.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Interesting. Hey, we're talking John Carney, Breitbart Business Digest. Make
- 27:23Speaker 2: sure you subscribe to it. FED Chairman Jerome Powell, What
- 27:28Speaker 2: the hell is he talking about?
- 27:29Speaker 10: Now?
- 27:29Speaker 2: When his term is up, he may become the pro
- 27:33Speaker 2: temp chairman. What is he talking about? There's no such role,
- 27:36Speaker 2: is there?
- 27:37Speaker 13: No, there's not. So what Palis said was that if
- 27:43Speaker 13: his successor, Kevin Warrish, who has been nominated by President Trump,
- 27:47Speaker 13: is not confirmed by May fifteenth, that he will stay
- 27:50Speaker 13: honest chairman. That's not allowed under the law. Now, there
- 27:54Speaker 13: have been times where the Senate didn't confirm the next chairman,
- 27:59Speaker 13: but it was the same chairman. So, in other words,
- 28:02Speaker 13: back when Powell got renominated during Biden's term for a
- 28:06Speaker 13: second term as chairman, there is a gap where the
- 28:09Speaker 13: Senate hadn't yet gotten around and confirming him to that role,
- 28:12Speaker 13: and he was allowed to stay in that role. But
- 28:15Speaker 13: that was because the president had already nominated him to
- 28:17Speaker 13: the position. That happened with Ellen Greenspan as well. There's
- 28:21Speaker 13: no president for a former chairman holding on to the
- 28:25Speaker 13: role because the next chairman hasn't been nominated. What the
- 28:29Speaker 13: best legal analysis we have of this, which goes back
- 28:32Speaker 13: to the Carter White House, says the President that will
- 28:36Speaker 13: select one of the sitting chairmen. Now he could be
- 28:39Speaker 13: he could select Powell, but I don't think Trump's going
- 28:41Speaker 13: to select Palce to be contemporary chairman. But he gets
- 28:46Speaker 13: to select one of the sitting governors to serve as chairman.
- 28:49Speaker 13: The Senate doesn't get to say, and that the FED
- 28:51Speaker 13: board doesn't get to say, and that certainly the FED.
- 28:54Speaker 13: The current FED chairman, whose term is expiring, doesn't get
- 28:57Speaker 13: to claim the power to do this unilaterally. He didn't
- 29:01Speaker 13: even have a vote, by the way, from the other
- 29:03Speaker 13: FED members to say I have this power. He is
- 29:06Speaker 13: unilaterally grabbing it. Frankly, if he continues to say this,
- 29:12Speaker 13: it could I don't think Trump will do this, but
- 29:14Speaker 13: it could become grounds to remove him, likely because he
- 29:17Speaker 13: is claiming a legal power he does not have. I
- 29:21Speaker 13: don't think Trump will do that, and it would be
- 29:23Speaker 13: a bigger hassle. What Trump should do is just announced.
- 29:26Speaker 13: If worsh isn't confirmed, he is going to make Steven Myron,
- 29:30Speaker 13: Christopher Waller, or Michelle Bowman the FED chairman until Warsh's
- 29:36Speaker 13: confirmation comes around.
- 29:37Speaker 2: I like that well, John Carney, brilliant as always. Everybody
- 29:41Speaker 2: should subscribe to Breitbart Business Digest. All the top minds

- 30:48Speaker 2: every night at nine. It's right here on seven to ten.
- 30:51Speaker 2: Woir so Mark Simone show on sevent ten wor Well, Hey,
- 31:00Speaker 2: it's Friday, that's the good news. Today is the first
- 31:02Speaker 2: day of spring. Oh, actually just happened to ten forty six,
- 31:06Speaker 2: so we're twelve minutes into spring. Right now, it's spring.
- 31:11Speaker 2: We're not in winter anymore. It's officially springtime.
- 31:14Speaker 3: Now.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Remember we had three or four years of great winters
- 31:17Speaker 2: with hardly any snow. Ah, maybe a drop here and there.
- 31:20Speaker 2: But remember we had a couple of winters no snow,
- 31:23Speaker 2: and we got used to that, and then this past
- 31:24Speaker 2: winter was brutal. Well, actually it was probably kind of
- 31:29Speaker 2: normal on the long range scale, but we got spoiled,
- 31:33Speaker 2: so it was brutal. And remember these blizzards. It was
- 31:37Speaker 2: always on a Sunday. Always on a Sunday. The blizzard
- 31:41Speaker 2: would start Sunday afternoon go all day long. Monday was
- 31:44Speaker 2: a nightmare trying to get any place. And it's great
- 31:49Speaker 2: for the supermarket business. They love a blizzard because everybody
- 31:53Speaker 2: comes in and buys up everything in the whole store.
- 31:56Speaker 2: And you remember, it was always on a Sunday, so
- 31:59Speaker 2: there were a lot of sat where if you try
- 32:01Speaker 2: to pull into the supermarket or into the mall where
- 32:03Speaker 2: it is, or the shopping center where it is, you
- 32:05Speaker 2: couldn't get near it. Cars backed up for half a
- 32:08Speaker 2: mile out of there. Well it's over, it's over. And
- 32:10Speaker 2: I just looked at the long range forecast fifties through
- 32:14Speaker 2: the weekend. Sixty on Sunday looks like pretty close to
- 32:17Speaker 2: the fifties all next week. And then that's it. It's
- 32:20Speaker 2: practically April. It's almost easter. You got through it. The
- 32:24Speaker 2: winter is over. It is now officially spring, two thousand
- 32:28Speaker 2: and twenty six. Hey, coming up in the next hour,
- 32:30Speaker 2: we got a lot to get to. We'll get to
- 32:34Speaker 2: the Save Act and more. Don't go away back right
- 32:37Speaker 2: after the news. Mark Simone here on seven ten wor.
- 32:42Speaker 14: Mark Simo, the issues you really care about on sevent ten.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Wor Hey, we'll get to a crazy Caddey Hoko, crazy
- 32:52Speaker 2: Mayor Mom, Donnie, and a whole lot more coming up.
- 32:56Speaker 2: It's its spring now. It officially began about twenty five
- 33:00Speaker 2: minutes ago. We're now in the spring. Hey, today's the
- 33:03Speaker 2: birthday of Baron Trump. Baron Trump is twenty years old today,
- 33:08Speaker 2: future president.
- 33:11Speaker 10: Now.
- 33:11Speaker 2: You know a lot of people thought, well, maybe Don
- 33:14Speaker 2: Junior will run one day, maybe Eric Treman. Now everybody
- 33:18Speaker 2: thinks it's Baron. Baron is the Michael corleone of this deal,
- 33:22Speaker 2: you know, the one that the younger one you thought
- 33:24Speaker 2: wasn't going to get involved in the family. But Baron
- 33:28Speaker 2: is a super smart kid. Baron is turns out he's tough,
- 33:32Speaker 2: shrewd smart. Everyone thinks he will be president one day.
- 33:36Speaker 2: But he's twenty years old today. Now let's go back
- 33:39Speaker 2: twenty years. Baron is a Melania gives birth to Baron.
- 33:43Speaker 2: Donald Trump calls into this show from the hospital. Let's
- 33:47Speaker 2: take a listen, Donald Trump, how are you.
- 33:49Speaker 7: I'm Mark, Hey, always great to talk to her.
- 33:51Speaker 6: You've been a friend for a long time, Mark, So
- 33:53Speaker 6: that's good.
- 33:54Speaker 10: And congratulations. A new baby.
- 33:56Speaker 6: Well that's true. We have a beautiful baby, healthy and
- 33:59Speaker 6: going to be brought home from the hospital very shortly. Actually.
- 34:02Speaker 2: Now, I love the name Baron, and I love Baron Hilton.
- 34:05Speaker 2: I assume he had something to do with that name.
- 34:07Speaker 6: Well, Baron Hilton is a friend of mine. Also, I
- 34:09Speaker 6: don't even know if it's the same spelling, but Baron
- 34:11Speaker 6: Hilton is a friend of mine. He's a great guy.
- 34:13Speaker 2: He's a wonderful guy. And the only guy I ever
- 34:15Speaker 2: knew named Baron. And it was a what a great name,
- 34:17Speaker 2: what a distinctive name?
- 34:18Speaker 15: Is Baron's a little bit more common than that. I mean,
- 34:21Speaker 15: I know a few people named Baron actually, but it's
- 34:24Speaker 15: I like it. You know, I was going to name Eric,
- 34:26Speaker 15: my other son, my last son. I was going to
- 34:28Speaker 15: name Eric Baron.
- 34:29Speaker 6: Huh, But I didn't quite have the courage because it
- 34:32Speaker 6: is a little bit out there. But you know, it's
- 34:35Speaker 6: it's been it's been great. I think.
- 34:37Speaker 15: I think it's really been playing very well. And I
- 34:39Speaker 15: like it more importantly, and Millennia likes.
- 34:41Speaker 2: That, yeah, very good. Twenty years ago today, twenty years ago,
- 34:46Speaker 2: Baron Trump was born. But keep an eye on him.
- 34:49Speaker 2: He's you know, he's in school. Right now, NYU, but
- 34:54Speaker 2: who knows where he's going to go. And a lot
- 34:56Speaker 2: of people think he will be president of the United
- 34:58Speaker 2: States thirty thirty years from now. As she said, well,
- 35:01Speaker 2: a lot to accomplish in the next thirty years. Now,
- 35:05Speaker 2: some of these politicians. We have this crazy Kathy Hokl
- 35:09Speaker 2: who is just a whack job. Doesn't know what the
- 35:14Speaker 2: hell to say anymore so, and she's like a weathervane,
- 35:17Speaker 2: just keeps spinning around whatever way the wind is blowing.
- 35:21Speaker 2: So a lot of people move to Florida because of
- 35:23Speaker 2: the taxes here, that sort of stuff. You know. She
- 35:27Speaker 2: was yelling and screaming that she was going to tax
- 35:29Speaker 2: all the billionaires, tax all the wealthy, tax everybody. A
- 35:32Speaker 2: lot of people moved away. She wants everybody back now.
- 35:36Speaker 2: Now remember this was twenty twenty two, four years ago.
- 35:40Speaker 2: She's telling everybody to leave. If you're a Trump supporter,
- 35:42Speaker 2: if you're a billionaire, if you're a Republican, get the
- 35:45Speaker 2: hell out. She actually said.
- 35:46Speaker 14: It, And we're here to say that the era of
- 35:51Speaker 14: Trump and Zelden and moln Arrow. Just jump on a
- 35:55Speaker 14: bus and head down to Florida where you've belong.
- 35:57Speaker 15: Okay, get out.
- 35:58Speaker 14: Of toe, get out of town, out because you don't
- 36:02Speaker 14: represent our values. You are not New.
- 36:05Speaker 2: Yorkers're a governor tell half her state to leave. How
- 36:12Speaker 2: stupid do you have to be to actually say something
- 36:15Speaker 2: like that? What is wrong with you to say you're
- 36:18Speaker 2: telling them half the state to leave. So a lot
- 36:21Speaker 2: of them did go to Florida, and the economy of
- 36:23Speaker 2: Florida is booming. They have no taxes, there's no state tax.
- 36:27Speaker 2: The economy is actually booming. They have no state tax.
- 36:31Speaker 2: They take in more revenue than we do. Their budget
- 36:35Speaker 2: is half of ours, even though it's a bigger state.
- 36:38Speaker 2: So that's four years ago. Now look at her now,
- 36:40Speaker 2: now she's asking them to come back. I guess somewhere
- 36:46Speaker 2: she's amazingly stupid, but not totally stupid, because she realizes
- 36:51Speaker 2: she needs these people back. If you tell them to leave,
- 36:53Speaker 2: that's your tax base, that's your main revenue source. If
- 36:57Speaker 2: they leave. Billionaires pay all the taxes, you know, the
- 37:00Speaker 2: top one percent pays like forty six percent of the taxes.
- 37:04Speaker 2: So she's asking them now to come back total reverse.
- 37:07Speaker 16: So maybe the first step should be go down to
- 37:08Speaker 16: Palm Beach and see who you can bring back home.
- 37:11Speaker 16: Because our tax base has been eroded. So I philosophically
- 37:15Speaker 16: don't have a problem. It is like, I have to
- 37:16Speaker 16: look at the fact that we are in competition with
- 37:18Speaker 16: other states who have less of a tax burden on
- 37:22Speaker 16: their corporations and their individuals, and I would say remote
- 37:26Speaker 16: work changed everything. There are people who could only work
- 37:29Speaker 16: in an office in Manhattan and work in New York State,
- 37:32Speaker 16: and they were captives to our state. They were going
- 37:33Speaker 16: to state. We've saw that that's not the case. I mean,
- 37:37Speaker 16: you know Wall Street businesses looking at Texas. They're not
- 37:41Speaker 16: going there because they have a nicer governor. I know
- 37:43Speaker 16: that for sure, But they're going there because of the tax. Right,
- 37:46Speaker 16: we have to be smart about this.
- 37:48Speaker 2: Yeah, they're not going there for a nicer governor. She's right.
- 37:51Speaker 2: You know, this antis not the nicest guy in the world,
- 37:54Speaker 2: but he's a brilliant governor. He's an excellent governor. Greg Gabbat,
- 37:57Speaker 2: he's a nice guy, but he's a brilliant governor. And
- 38:00Speaker 2: these guys got rid of the state tax. They get
- 38:02Speaker 2: rid of a lot of that crap, and the state booms,
- 38:05Speaker 2: The economy booms. Businesses move in, billionaires move in, and
- 38:09Speaker 2: you're making a fortune there. So she's admitting she's wrong.
- 38:13Speaker 2: She's actually admitting she was a total idiot four years
- 38:17Speaker 2: ago to say those things. And she's admitting they lost
- 38:20Speaker 2: a lot of the tax base. So now, Mom, Donnie,
- 38:25Speaker 2: I think you had to wait about fifty years for
- 38:27Speaker 2: him to figure this out. Mom, Donnie doesn't know what
- 38:29Speaker 2: the hell is going on. Totally useless and totally naive.
- 38:36Speaker 2: He's never had a job before. He's basically just a
- 38:38Speaker 2: student out of college. This is his first job Mayor
- 38:41Speaker 2: of New York and just driving everybody nuts. We have
- 38:47Speaker 2: a budget that's double what it should be. It's double
- 38:50Speaker 2: the amount it should be. Just cut the budget in
- 38:52Speaker 2: half and everything is fine. But he can't cut anything.
- 38:57Speaker 2: It's all waste, fraud, blowed favor versus. It's just political
- 39:03Speaker 2: payback for people. So he keeps scheming and scheming and
- 39:06Speaker 2: scheming more taxes, more, the congestion pricing type of stuff.
- 39:10Speaker 2: Now they want to put speed cameras everywhere and ticket
- 39:13Speaker 2: you every time you go any place. These speed cameras
- 39:16Speaker 2: are absolutely ridiculous.
- 39:18Speaker 17: It is a goal of our administration to lower the
- 39:21Speaker 17: speed limit across the city to twenty miles an hour.
- 39:24Speaker 17: That however, is something that can only be done with
- 39:26Speaker 17: a local law change to the city administrative Code, and
- 39:30Speaker 17: we do support the City council taking those efforts.
- 39:33Speaker 2: Yeah. Now, the good news is the city council speaker
- 39:38Speaker 2: Julie Mennon, who is a common sense she's a Democrat,
- 39:43Speaker 2: a little left wing, but common sense. And I don't
- 39:46Speaker 2: think she'll do it. He's talking about fifteen miles an
- 39:48Speaker 2: hour speed limit fifteen. You can't drive fifteen miles an hour.
- 39:51Speaker 2: It's impossible, it can't be done. So he keeps pushing
- 39:56Speaker 2: this stuff. She doesn't get it done, hopefully, Mom, don
- 40:00Speaker 2: just hobbles along for the next four years, getting nothing done,
- 40:03Speaker 2: just talking, which is all he ever did, just talk
- 40:06Speaker 2: his crazy wife, you know, mom, Donnie very anti Semitic,
- 40:11Speaker 2: anti a lot of stuff, but his wife really anti
- 40:14Speaker 2: Semitic and has a bad, bad history. On Twitter on
- 40:19Speaker 2: x people would post stuff about October seventh, the genocide,
- 40:24Speaker 2: the killing of Jews, the raping, the killing the babies,
- 40:27Speaker 2: and she'd click like on it multiple times. October seventh stuff,
- 40:33Speaker 2: the ugly holocaust of October seven. She's clicking like on
- 40:36Speaker 2: all these posts. Horrifying, absolutely horrifying. She's getting a lot
- 40:42Speaker 2: of flak. Her name is a Rama Duagie. She's been
- 40:46Speaker 2: in hiding. She doesn't come out, but everybody noticed that
- 40:50Speaker 2: yesterday she deleted her old Twitter account, her old ex account.
- 40:54Speaker 2: Instead of deleting the bad posts, she deleted the whole
- 40:56Speaker 2: account because the whole thing was bad post. It was
- 41:00Speaker 2: all bad, really bad, ugly stuff. Hey, that wacko. Joe Kent,
- 41:05Speaker 2: he's the guy that was the counterintelligence national. They give
- 41:09Speaker 2: him these big titles in the swamp. Joe Kent, National
- 41:12Speaker 2: Counterintelligence Director of Intelligence counter this counter that who resigned
- 41:17Speaker 2: and he said the Iran war is ridiculous, there's no
- 41:21Speaker 2: was no threat. Now the real reason he resigned is
- 41:24Speaker 2: he's under investigation for leaking classified information. This guy will
- 41:29Speaker 2: probably end up in jail. The investigation has been going
- 41:32Speaker 2: on for months and it was heating up, and that's
- 41:35Speaker 2: one reason he resigned to get all this attention. So
- 41:38Speaker 2: he becomes some sort of martyr when they go after
- 41:41Speaker 2: him in court. But a he's a real just something
- 41:46Speaker 2: really wrong with this guy. First of all, he's been
- 41:49Speaker 2: saying for many years that we have to go after Iran.
- 41:52Speaker 2: Iran is a threat. Now he's claiming the opposite. He
- 41:55Speaker 2: goes on the Tucker Carlson podcast of all places and
- 42:00Speaker 2: starts going into this anti Semitic nonsense, crazy wacko conspiracy
- 42:06Speaker 2: stuff with Tucker Carlson, perfect place for it, perfect setting
- 42:09Speaker 2: for it, and he says, Israel is behind Charlie Kirk's assassination. Yeah,
- 42:16Speaker 2: somehow Israel he believes was behind Charlie Kirk's assassination. Thinks
- 42:20Speaker 2: it's a strong possibility, and again, just anti Semitic nonsense.
- 42:25Speaker 2: That's Joe Kent.
- 42:26Speaker 9: Hey.
- 42:26Speaker 2: You know, the Save Act is just simple logic, common sense.
- 42:30Speaker 2: It would mean enforce the law. The law is you
- 42:33Speaker 2: got to be an American citizen to vote in an
- 42:35Speaker 2: American election, and you show your ID, your driver's license,
- 42:40Speaker 2: your photo ID when you go vote. It's done all
- 42:44Speaker 2: the time. You know, if you want to buy anything
- 42:50Speaker 2: anything anywhere, you got to show photo ID in a
- 42:53Speaker 2: drug store to get the prescription medicine, to enter an
- 42:57Speaker 2: office building, you got to show photo ID everything everywhere
- 43:00Speaker 2: you turn. Everybody has a photo ID. Everybody needs to
- 43:03Speaker 2: show it every day of their life somewhere. So Democrats
- 43:08Speaker 2: don't want that because if you don't have to show ID,
- 43:10Speaker 2: then anybody can vote. They can get illegal aliens to vote,
- 43:15Speaker 2: they can get people to vote twice, they can get
- 43:17Speaker 2: the non citizens to vote. It can happen. And that's
- 43:21Speaker 2: the reason you do the Save Acts. Perfect common sense.
- 43:23Speaker 2: Anybody with any logic of common sense would be for it.
- 43:26Speaker 2: Democrats are opposing it. The only reason you would oppose
- 43:30Speaker 2: it if you want to make sure that non citizens
- 43:33Speaker 2: can vote. And that's where you get Schumer and all
- 43:36Speaker 2: these wackos. But Schumer yesterday's yelling and screaming about it,
- 43:41Speaker 2: and he said, well, what about the illegals voting goes, well,
- 43:44Speaker 2: almost no non citizens vote, Almost no illegals vote. That's
- 43:48Speaker 2: their argument that it happens in small numbers, not enough
- 43:52Speaker 2: to affect the election. But everybody pointing out he just
- 43:55Speaker 2: admitted it happens. If almost no illegals vote, that means
- 44:00Speaker 2: and some illegals are voting, so you got to stop that.
- 44:02Speaker 2: Then the other Democratic idiot, Warnock, he's talking about Georgia,
- 44:06Speaker 2: his state, and he said, well, we only found twenty
- 44:09Speaker 2: cases of illegals voting. Well, if you only found twenty,
- 44:12Speaker 2: that means it's probably a few hundred. But it shouldn't happen.
- 44:16Speaker 2: There's no excuse for this kind of stuff. So they're
- 44:19Speaker 2: actually admitting. Now their argument is, well it happens just
- 44:22Speaker 2: in a small way, but they're admitting it does happen,
- 44:25Speaker 2: So you need the save Act. Hey, we're talking about
- 44:29Speaker 2: Governor of Arkansas, Sarah Huckabee Sanders. She and some whoever
- 44:34Speaker 2: she's talking to. They go go to lunch in a
- 44:37Speaker 2: restaurant in Little Rock and they have with them a
- 44:41Speaker 2: security detailed State police that sort of stuff, and they're
- 44:44Speaker 2: sitting at a big table in the restaurant. When this
- 44:49Speaker 2: was Friday, March thirteenth, it's called the Croissanterie. Now the
- 44:57Speaker 2: Croissanterie is I guess that's supposed to be she in Arkansas.
- 45:02Speaker 2: It's like Andy Griffiths show type of croissant. But apparently
- 45:07Speaker 2: they were there for a while and somebody from the
- 45:09Speaker 2: restaurant comes over to the state police guy and tells
- 45:13Speaker 2: them to leave. They got to leave, and he's a
- 45:16Speaker 2: little shocked. Why would they have to leave, and well,
- 45:19Speaker 2: you've been there an hour and fifteen minutes. There's a
- 45:21Speaker 2: ninety minute limit. But then he according to the state police,
- 45:24Speaker 2: I would believe the state police on this. And he says,
- 45:28Speaker 2: you're making everybody uncomfortable because of her political views. I
- 45:34Speaker 2: would imagine in the croissante the employees are young, stupid,
- 45:40Speaker 2: and he actually said it out loud to the state police.
- 45:43Speaker 2: She to she has to leave. She's making everybody uncomfortable
- 45:48Speaker 2: because of her political beliefs and her values. Well, obviously
- 45:54Speaker 2: it's Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Her political beliefs are fine, her
- 45:58Speaker 2: values are excellent. Her father, Mike Huckabee too excellent. Now,
- 46:04Speaker 2: the owner of the Cassandre's put out some long statement
- 46:10Speaker 2: saying she was asked to encourage the governor to leave
- 46:13Speaker 2: she had finished dining. It doesn't make any sense the restaurant, certainly.
- 46:21Speaker 2: I'm trying to find the statement. We regret being this position.
- 46:25Speaker 2: We had to make a difficult decision. However, we stand
- 46:28Speaker 2: by our choice. Absolutely ridiculous. I would hope this place
- 46:32Speaker 2: gets closed down. It's absolutely disgusting. We became aware that
- 46:37Speaker 2: the governor had arrived at the restaurant, and we were
- 46:40Speaker 2: surprised and uncertain, and I mean absolutely idiotic. First of all,
- 46:49Speaker 2: it made them feel uncomfortable, and he also said they
- 46:51Speaker 2: felt threatened. They felt threatened by the governor's presidence. She's
- 46:55Speaker 2: got like four or five state police sitting there. I
- 46:58Speaker 2: can't think of a safer thing for a restaurant. And
- 47:01Speaker 2: normally people get excited when a governor comes into us.
- 47:04Speaker 2: She's the governor. And if you're that uncomfortable and threatened
- 47:07Speaker 2: by her presence, leave the state, move out of the state,
- 47:09Speaker 2: go somewhere else. Hey, we'll take some calls. Next. Eight
- 47:12Speaker 2: hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 47:16Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 47:19Speaker 1: If you're listening to Mark on the iHeartRadio app, save
- 47:22Speaker 1: time and tap the preset button.
- 47:24Speaker 2: Now.
- 47:25Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simon show on woor.
- 47:30Speaker 2: Hey. You know the CBS network we would mentioned earlier
- 47:35Speaker 2: in the program, there are going to be a lot
- 47:36Speaker 2: of layoffs today over at CBS News. You know, they
- 47:39Speaker 2: have CBS News and they do the newscast on television,
- 47:42Speaker 2: but you know there's also the CBS Radio network News.
- 47:47Speaker 2: And if you used to listen to the old WCBS Radio,
- 47:50Speaker 2: you remember at the top of the hour they go
- 47:52Speaker 2: to the network CBS Radio News, and top of the
- 47:55Speaker 2: hour they would do the news. Well, a lot of
- 47:57Speaker 2: stations around the country would carry the CBS Radio News
- 48:01Speaker 2: as their news source, and on the top of the
- 48:03Speaker 2: hour of the network newscast was just announced. Hard to believe.
- 48:09Speaker 2: CBS management just put out this statement today. We informed
- 48:14Speaker 2: our CBS News Radio team and our approximately seven hundred
- 48:19Speaker 2: affiliates that we will end the service on May twenty second,
- 48:24Speaker 2: twenty twenty six. No more CBS Radio News, no more
- 48:28Speaker 2: CBS News Radio, closing down the whole thing, not just
- 48:32Speaker 2: eliminating some jobs, shutting down the whole CBS News Radio service.
- 48:36Speaker 2: It will not exist. It's been around one hundred years.
- 48:39Speaker 2: Edward R. Murrow was on CBS News Radio, Walter Cronkite, Lowell,
- 48:44Speaker 2: Thomas dan Rather, Mike Wallace. It's gone May twenty second.
- 48:50Speaker 2: What's that like? Two months? You have to do that,
- 48:52Speaker 2: by the way, because you have seven hundred affiliates, you
- 48:54Speaker 2: can't just shut it off Monday. You have to give
- 48:57Speaker 2: all your affiliates time to find another network to you.
- 49:00Speaker 2: But that's interesting. Let's go to Stuart in South Carolina. Stuart,
- 49:04Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 49:05Speaker 7: Hey?
- 49:06Speaker 18: Mark? You know I want to mention about these speed
- 49:08Speaker 18: cameras and red light cameras. You know, I've been a
- 49:10Speaker 18: police officer next year'll be fifty years, and I believe
- 49:13Speaker 18: they are completely unconstitutional. And the reason is that when
- 49:17Speaker 18: an officer arrests, say for a misdemeanor, which is, you know,
- 49:22Speaker 18: running a red light or speeding, he has to witness
- 49:24Speaker 18: that that infraction to make an arrest. And the ticket
- 49:28Speaker 18: is actually an arrest, but you're being released.
- 49:31Speaker 2: On the camera takes a photograph. That's kind of a witness.
- 49:36Speaker 6: It does.
- 49:36Speaker 13: But the problem is mark that you have to have.
- 49:39Speaker 18: An individual, an officer, witness that infraction. And when you
- 49:44Speaker 18: have a camera, a camera cannot testify in court to
- 49:48Speaker 18: your speed or that you ran a red light. That's
- 49:51Speaker 18: why people wear monkey masks and bags over their heads
- 49:54Speaker 18: and they change their license plates and put covers over them.
- 49:58Speaker 18: I don't believe we have them in the South.
- 50:01Speaker 2: Maybe quicker just to go the speed limited, wait in
- 50:03Speaker 2: line of the store to buy a monkey mask, and hey,
- 50:06Speaker 2: let me ask you off the record question. It's speed
- 50:09Speaker 2: limit to fifty five now, guys going on sixty one
- 50:13Speaker 2: miles now would you pull them over for that?
- 50:14Speaker 13: Yeah?
- 50:15Speaker 18: No, I allowed fifteen miles over and most fifteen officers
- 50:18Speaker 18: down here too. Fifteen yeah whoa, oh absolutely yeah, yeah,
- 50:22Speaker 18: even on we have Highway one here which is forty
- 50:27Speaker 18: five or fifty five. A lot of times we'd allow
- 50:30Speaker 18: about sixty nine or seventy.
- 50:32Speaker 2: Wow.
- 50:32Speaker 18: Yeah, and then a lot of times if the people
- 50:34Speaker 18: are nice, we would break it down to say fifty
- 50:37Speaker 18: nine and fifty, which is a two point ticket. As
- 50:40Speaker 18: long as you don't have any other tickets, it doesn't
- 50:42Speaker 18: make your insurance go up. Yeah, So there are ways
- 50:45Speaker 18: of doing things.
- 50:46Speaker 2: All right, great call as always, Stuart. Let's go to
- 50:48Speaker 2: dan Port Jefferson. Dan, how you doing?
- 50:51Speaker 7: Mark?
- 50:51Speaker 12: Great?
- 50:53Speaker 8: You know you're talking about Democrats or left people saying
- 50:57Speaker 8: people finding it hard.
- 50:58Speaker 7: To get IDs they can't get IDs to Are those
- 51:02Speaker 7: people we want electing our officials? We really want them voting.
- 51:06Speaker 2: If they can't get an ID, everybody can get an idea.
- 51:09Speaker 2: It's just the democratic racism. They're so racist. They actually
- 51:13Speaker 2: say that all minorities, well they would that wouldn't know
- 51:15Speaker 2: how to get a photo. It's the most racist thing imaginable.
- 51:18Speaker 2: Rich and Myrtle Beach, Rich, how you doing?
- 51:21Speaker 10: You know?
- 51:22Speaker 3: Stuart? There is right because the Myrtle Beach we got
- 51:24Speaker 3: this main highway thirty one, which say ship from South
- 51:26Speaker 3: Mortle Beach and North Myrtle Beach about twenty five miles
- 51:30Speaker 3: and then speed limit there sixty five and people are
- 51:32Speaker 3: passing me at seventy five and they let you go
- 51:34Speaker 3: to almost eighty, which is about fifteen over. And I
- 51:37Speaker 3: wonder if Stuart has the same pine problem, a pine
- 51:40Speaker 3: pole and problem we have here because right now it's
- 51:42Speaker 3: pine pollen season where everything is covered in a green
- 51:46Speaker 3: dust as the pine trees are all starting to release
- 51:49Speaker 3: their pollens. So single, what's that?
- 51:52Speaker 2: That sounds great?
- 51:54Speaker 3: Oh, it's unbelievable. Your eyes are irritated, your alergies come up.
- 51:58Speaker 3: Everything is covered in a green dust until we get
- 52:00Speaker 3: a heavy rain of weave.
- 52:02Speaker 2: New York, Stay in New York, Rich, thanks for calling. Oh,
- 52:06Speaker 2: let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing.
- 52:09Speaker 10: I'm doing good. Mark. If I were the owner of that,
- 52:12Speaker 10: what'd you say to Chris Anthia? I would immediately call
- 52:16Speaker 10: my exterminator, have a new inspection sticker, a certificate dawn
- 52:23Speaker 10: of the kitchen and the bathroom in the restaurant, because guaranteed,
- 52:28Speaker 10: before this weekends over, somebody from the state Health Department
- 52:33Speaker 10: in Arkansas is going to pay a visit to that restaurant,
- 52:37Speaker 10: and magically they're gonna find mice and rats feces in
- 52:43Speaker 10: the kitchen, in the food prep area, some dead cockroaches,
- 52:48Speaker 10: that they're going to close that restaurant down. As you said, Mark,
- 52:54Speaker 10: I noticed it Blue cities in Blue states Man Dommy.
- 52:57Speaker 10: What he did the other day is a perfect exis.
- 53:00Speaker 10: Yesterday you were talking about how he took out the
- 53:04Speaker 10: criminal prosecution of any person on a bicycle committing a
- 53:10Speaker 10: traffic infraction. Now, if you look at all these e riders,
- 53:15Speaker 10: these door dash riders, grub Hub, look at them, most
- 53:18Speaker 10: of them are Indians, Pakistani, Southeast Asians. Those are his
- 53:25Speaker 10: large part of those people are his voting base, and
- 53:28Speaker 10: he's protecting all his homeboys. And in other instances, the
- 53:35Speaker 10: city passes laws where you got to hire people who
- 53:40Speaker 10: work in his voting block. For example, last year they
- 53:45Speaker 10: passed the law that it didn't apply to me, but
- 53:48Speaker 10: certain people. If you have a brick or mercenary parapet
- 53:54Speaker 10: on your building, you have to have that inspected. I
- 53:58Speaker 10: didn't I have a wooden corners.
- 54:00Speaker 2: Yeah, so Vincent, we got to.
- 54:02Speaker 12: The people who worked those trades, Mark, Yeah, I am
- 54:05Speaker 12: a Grants.
- 54:06Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true.
- 54:07Speaker 12: Not the Italians in the Irish fifty sixty years ago.
- 54:12Speaker 12: So At one end he's pulling liability away from them,
- 54:17Speaker 12: and on the other end he's steering business with them.
- 54:21Speaker 2: Vincer, we gotta go. We gotta do the newest Vincent.
- 54:23Speaker 2: But thanks for calling. Great call. When we come back,
- 54:27Speaker 2: Charlie Gasparino, he'll be with us next on seven to ten.
- 54:31Speaker 1: Wor mister New York Marks amount.
- 54:37Speaker 2: Wr Well, we turned out of the best business reporter
- 54:41Speaker 2: in America, Charlie Gasparino. You see him on the Fox
- 54:43Speaker 2: Business Network. Read his columns New York Posts. Also, he
- 54:47Speaker 2: wrote one of the best books ever. If you haven't
- 54:49Speaker 2: read it, get the book Go Woke, Go Broke by
- 54:52Speaker 2: Charlie Gasprino. Just go to Amazon and order Go Woke,
- 54:56Speaker 2: Go Broke. It's a great book. Charlie Gasparino. How you doing?
- 55:01Speaker 7: Are you doing? Mark? Great to hear from you.
- 55:03Speaker 2: Yeah, Hey, do we have the craziest governor in the
- 55:06Speaker 2: world here? This Kathy Okle tells everybody to leave. Now
- 55:08Speaker 2: she's telling her to come back? What is wrong with her?
- 55:11Speaker 7: He's an idiot? I mean, you know, I'm sorry I
- 55:15Speaker 7: shouldn't say that, but yes' because I've been reading this
- 55:20Speaker 7: as much as you have, and you know, I mean
- 55:23Speaker 7: if you create this environment where it's very difficult for people,
- 55:28Speaker 7: not just really rich people who can leave in a second.
- 55:31Speaker 7: By the way, now, if you're really rich, you can
- 55:32Speaker 7: literally set up to keep your apartment here in Manhattan,
- 55:36Speaker 7: live down there whatever, you know, six months in the
- 55:38Speaker 7: day or whatever, do most of your business down there.
- 55:41Speaker 7: Fly up occasionally. Oh, it's no problem. And we need
- 55:44Speaker 7: those really rich people because they pay all the bills.
- 55:47Speaker 7: You're a middle class person, you've got to move all together,
- 55:50Speaker 7: and she's making it impossible for both of them to
- 55:52Speaker 7: stay here. It's it's just unbelievable. And you know, you know,
- 56:00Speaker 7: it's kind of like we're a kind of end stage
- 56:05Speaker 7: in my view, liberalism or progressivism here in New York,
- 56:08Speaker 7: where it's kind of obvious that the formula doesn't work. Mark.
- 56:13Speaker 7: It's like if you tax people, you're pushing on a string.
- 56:18Speaker 7: It's there's people are going to go away if you
- 56:21Speaker 7: elect If some guy like Mondamie gets in there, sneaks
- 56:24Speaker 7: in with fifty percent of the vote and starts talking
- 56:28Speaker 7: about you know, Gaza during Saint Patrick's day, more people,
- 56:33Speaker 7: you know what I'm saying. I mean, if you if
- 56:36Speaker 7: you just literally keep packing essentially extort fifty plus percent
- 56:42Speaker 7: of your of someone's wages to taxes. When you get
- 56:46Speaker 7: garbage piled up all over the place where the schools
- 56:48Speaker 7: aren't good, they're going to leave.
- 56:50Speaker 12: And it's just.
- 56:51Speaker 7: And that's what they've been doing. And they don't care
- 56:54Speaker 7: that they have this impact, it seems, because there's a
- 56:59Speaker 7: vicious circle where they kind of all benefit themselves right now,
- 57:02Speaker 7: the teachers union, all the special interests, but the taxpayers.
- 57:06Speaker 7: This is a free country. You can move, So I
- 57:08Speaker 7: think they're screwed. I mean, I I've written a few
- 57:10Speaker 7: stories about the New York City budget situation.
- 57:13Speaker 12: It is in desperate.
- 57:14Speaker 7: It's gonna be in desperate situation because Wall Street does
- 57:16Speaker 7: not have to be here anymore. And that's the only
- 57:19Speaker 7: thing keeping this thing going is is you know, banker bonuses.
- 57:22Speaker 7: And when those banker bonuses leave UH and they will
- 57:26Speaker 7: leave increasingly. JP Morgan has more people in Texas than
- 57:29Speaker 7: it has in New York City. Really fight the fact
- 57:32Speaker 7: they fit, the fact that they have building on UH
- 57:36Speaker 7: on Park Avenue. They have more people in Texas right now,
- 57:39Speaker 7: and so that will continue. That will mean banker bonuses
- 57:43Speaker 7: going into the Texas hop The Texas budget as opposed
- 57:47Speaker 7: to ours and every place else. And it's only because
- 57:51Speaker 7: these guys killed the it was they killed the Golden Goose.
- 57:55Speaker 7: I guess you could say they made an able to
- 57:57Speaker 7: live here. And I told you this, and you were
- 57:59Speaker 7: like I told you. I said, ready, I'm gonna get out,
- 58:03Speaker 7: and you're like, oh, you're not gonna get out. Of
- 58:05Speaker 7: course you're gonna get out. You can't deal with this
- 58:08Speaker 7: long term. There's there's almost no solution really because the
- 58:12Speaker 7: state is run. I mean, I mean, how can you
- 58:15Speaker 7: convince It seems like if Bruce Blakeman can't be governor,
- 58:19Speaker 7: and I like Bruce a lot. I think he'd be
- 58:20Speaker 7: a good He's a modern guy, analytic social. If he
- 58:25Speaker 7: can't become governor in this state, then you know, the
- 58:28Speaker 7: you know, whoever's left here is too stupid. They're just
- 58:32Speaker 7: going to keep voting for this garbage. So you know,
- 58:36Speaker 7: why fight? Just leave, that's the best way to fight.
- 58:38Speaker 2: Maybe, But Wall Street it's called Wall Street? Could they
- 58:42Speaker 2: actually be somewhere else? Well?
- 58:45Speaker 7: Have you ever gone down to Wall Street these days?
- 58:49Speaker 7: Down there? I mean, go excide. The New York's stock
- 58:51Speaker 7: is shames. Remember that the iconic New York Opening Belt
- 58:56Speaker 7: the side for those two photo ops where they kind
- 58:59Speaker 7: of get people to they probably bust them into, like
- 59:02Speaker 7: to make it look like it'sing's going on down there.
- 59:06Speaker 7: There's nothing going on. It's all computers and it's done,
- 59:10Speaker 7: and it's just done. It's just I was talking to
- 59:13Speaker 7: Dick Rasso, the legendary Yeah, because you try to preserve
- 59:17Speaker 7: the human element of it, which in many ways is
- 59:20Speaker 7: a good thing because you know, computers break down a
- 59:23Speaker 7: lot too. And you know, we're both laughing about how
- 59:25Speaker 7: this is, like it's it's nothing and they and they.
- 59:29Speaker 7: You know, by the way, technology did that, not liberalism,
- 59:32Speaker 7: but liberalism and progressivism, you know, helped helped expedite people
- 59:37Speaker 7: from you know, starting up businesses. By the way, if
- 59:41Speaker 7: the SOCCA change sort of morphed into something electronic, there's
- 59:45Speaker 7: all these buildings down there, office space. You would think
- 59:47Speaker 7: if you had a vibrant economy of entrepreneurs, you'd be
- 59:51Speaker 7: able to fill those with with people, and you really can't.
- 59:54Speaker 7: I mean, there's not a lot of business down there.
- 59:56Speaker 7: It's it's a residential neighborhood because we need residential property
- 1:00:00Speaker 7: in New York. But they're very high end, and this
- 1:00:03Speaker 7: is a very unlivable place mark in so many ways.
- 1:00:06Speaker 7: And this Hopeles is so stupid. I mean, she's I mean,
- 1:00:11Speaker 7: you know she should be one way to be up
- 1:00:13Speaker 7: she I mean, it's like you know, Andrew Crmo tried
- 1:00:15Speaker 7: to do the same thing. He tried to like thread
- 1:00:18Speaker 7: the needle. Okay, I'll pease the liberal base, but I'll
- 1:00:21Speaker 7: also you know, you know it won't go so far.
- 1:00:25Speaker 7: And you know, people in the middle will flock to
- 1:00:27Speaker 7: me because because the alternative is so bad. Well, guess what,
- 1:00:31Speaker 7: that doesn't happen. The people in the middle often leads
- 1:00:34Speaker 7: because they don't because they don't they're sick of your
- 1:00:38Speaker 7: You're sort of you're you're you're sort of a little
- 1:00:41Speaker 7: less wild and maybe more somewhat more palatable progressivism because
- 1:00:47Speaker 7: I don't want to deal with because it's not.
- 1:00:50Speaker 10: You wrote.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: You wrote the book co Broke. Everybody should read that,
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: especially Kathy Ho.
- 1:00:58Speaker 7: I mean, I can't I can't believe she's having it.
- 1:01:03Speaker 7: She's like in a it's like she's like high on something, right,
- 1:01:07Speaker 7: and she's just ruminating. I mean, think about how you're saying.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: She sounds Yeah, well, I think that's more just a
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: case of having an IQ about ninety six. That's probably
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: what it is.
- 1:01:18Speaker 7: I don't know, but I mean think about it. I mean,
- 1:01:21Speaker 7: you're sitting there, you're raising taxes, and then you're begging
- 1:01:25Speaker 7: people come back, come back, so I can screw you.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: Charlie Gasparino, straight to horror moose. This is everybody going
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: crazy when you bet the straits of hormos will be
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: open three four weeks from now.
- 1:01:41Speaker 7: I I you know, I talked to some traders last night. Well,
- 1:01:44Speaker 7: you know, commodities traders. There is a trade going on
- 1:01:47Speaker 7: that says this entire sort of notion that you know,
- 1:01:50Speaker 7: oil supply is totally disrupted is boloney, and that we
- 1:01:55Speaker 7: do have a lot of oil, that these are often
- 1:01:58Speaker 7: these are on fear headlines, and not only that that
- 1:02:01Speaker 7: they are exaggerated by the algorithms that control a lot
- 1:02:05Speaker 7: of the trading. And so let me ask you this,
- 1:02:09Speaker 7: is there really a shortage of oil in the United States?
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: No, actually, we don't get we don't use any of
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: that oil from hormones.
- 1:02:17Speaker 7: Yeah, how about it around the world, is there like
- 1:02:19Speaker 7: a people like like doing odd and even days in Germany?
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: Right now?
- 1:02:25Speaker 7: I remember the odd and even days, like if you
- 1:02:26Speaker 7: had an odd number on your license, but you can
- 1:02:28Speaker 7: get guests that day even the next day. I'm just
- 1:02:31Speaker 7: I'm just wondering, like, where is the supply problem here
- 1:02:34Speaker 7: that you know we're getting these freakouts. I mean, are
- 1:02:39Speaker 7: you mean to tell me that that if you close
- 1:02:42Speaker 7: the that there's no solution to these straits of Hormuz?
- 1:02:47Speaker 7: Come on, I mean, I think it's Listen, I think
- 1:02:51Speaker 7: it's going to be solved. I think that war's over. Basically,
- 1:02:56Speaker 7: you know, the Uranians lie about everything, Oh we'll do this. Well,
- 1:02:59Speaker 7: they have nothing left but to lie and scare their population.
- 1:03:03Speaker 7: And you know, at some point there will be a
- 1:03:07Speaker 7: tipping in my view, I mean I spoke with Jack Devine.
- 1:03:10Speaker 7: You know Jack ever gonna be worked at?
- 1:03:12Speaker 10: Uh?
- 1:03:12Speaker 7: Yeah, it was topsyer guys. Because there's no wain, They're
- 1:03:16Speaker 7: going to let the streets and from moves remain closed forever.
- 1:03:19Speaker 7: It's just never gonna happen. It's just it's gonna end soon.
- 1:03:23Speaker 7: I would I would be surprised if it's four weeks.
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: Two weeks, two and a half weeks, it'll be open.
- 1:03:28Speaker 7: But yeah, I mean I think it'll be more. It
- 1:03:30Speaker 7: will increasingly be open you know.
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: Yeah. Well Charlie Gasprino, always great talking to you, and uh, everybody,
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: get this book. I'm telling you one of a few
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: people haven't read it yet. Get his latest book, Go Walke,
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: Go Broke. Uh, it is a fantastic book. Go Woke,
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: Go Broke. And we just calms in New York Post.
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: And you can be on TV today.
- 1:03:51Speaker 7: No, I don't know. I haven't gotten a request. That
- 1:03:53Speaker 7: was on yesterday I did. I did the Will Kane Show.
- 1:03:56Speaker 7: Lawrence Jones was a very good show. Yeah, it's really good.
- 1:04:01Speaker 7: So I did that and I was supposed to do
- 1:04:03Speaker 7: I couldn't do Lord's Show last night. But I don't know.
- 1:04:07Speaker 7: They know how to get me if they want me.

- 1:04:38Speaker 2: twenty twenty eight Harris, Kamala Harris, total disaster, total disaster
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: in the polls, no shot at all. Newsome well, he
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: was ahead of Kamala Harris, but didn't do as well
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: as you think. He's slipping. Hey, we're out of time.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: The good news is it's now spring. We're one hour
