- 0:00SPEAKER_02: Hey guys, welcome to Housewives Goss and Glitter.
- 0:02SPEAKER_02: We are doing Orange County Season 20, episode 5.
- 0:07SPEAKER_02: Do you have the title of the episode or no?
- 0:10SPEAKER_01: I have the title of the last episode, which was Box In, but I don't have the title of this new episode.
- 0:15SPEAKER_01: Maybe most boring season ever.
- 0:18SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 0:18SPEAKER_02: It's like I can't I can't even tell them apart.
- 0:21SPEAKER_02: But this episode, we start with Vicky and Jen at the med spa.
- 0:28SPEAKER_02: She is still salty about being called a Debbie Downer.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: She mentions Debbie Downer like a thousand times.
- 0:37SPEAKER_01: Like a thousand times.
- 0:38SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 0:39SPEAKER_02: Was it this episode or another one where they said to turn it into a drinking game?
- 0:43SPEAKER_02: And then like it's this episode.
- 0:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 0:47SPEAKER_02: And then they end up talking about Heather, and Vicky calls her a cold fish.
- 0:55SPEAKER_02: And Jen's like Heather is just too caught up in being perfect.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but Jen's also like super eager to talk about Heather again to just prove that she's not actually obsessed with her.
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, you do nothing but talk about this woman.
- 1:10SPEAKER_01: Nothing.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: We literally he uh what's her name?
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: Oh, Jen's storyline is like show like exploiting her son, who clearly doesn't want to be on camera.
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: Um showing her husband's side of the closet and then talking about Heather.
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: That's like her that's her storyline.
- 1:31SPEAKER_02: That is oh, and the bag.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: So yeah.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: And then she mentions to Vicky how much fun she's been having with Carmella, and that Carmella has so many layers, and Vicky just like answers with no response, just complete silence because Vicky has this major vendetta against a woman that she's met like two times and nothing has happened with her.
- 1:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah, she just doesn't want to like her because she doesn't like her term of um developer, essentially.
- 2:02SPEAKER_02: Do you think she that's the item?
- 2:04SPEAKER_01: Do you think that deep down she just doesn't like Carmela because she's like a Playboy model reformer?
- 2:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and probably because she got divorced, and she has this thing against divorce.
- 2:17SPEAKER_02: But halfway has something against divorce.
- 2:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Vicky is like, I wish I never got divorced.
- 2:24SPEAKER_02: I don't think divorce is okay.
- 2:26SPEAKER_02: God frowns upon divorce.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: She said it like a couple times, but she's divorced of her own doing, she had an emotional affair.
- 2:35SPEAKER_02: She frowns about frowns upon it so much because she's probably embarrassed that she did it.
- 2:42SPEAKER_01: Okay, so she left her husband to date another guy who she was having an emotional affair with.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: That didn't work out because the guy was a lunatic, and so now she judges other people for getting a divorce, and in this case, Carmella was the one that was cheated on.
- 3:01SPEAKER_01: Okay, that makes a lot of sense.
- 3:04SPEAKER_02: Um, I don't think Vicky's brain works the way it should.
- 3:07SPEAKER_02: She probably spent too much time whooping it up.
- 3:11SPEAKER_01: She's I want to see her whooping it up because all she's done is a bitch this entire season.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: Skip to Carmela's.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: Emily is visiting Carmella, and Emily's saying in her confessional how much she admires Carmela and how much Carmela is a hustler, but then she's like, Carmela should really lead with that and not with$3,000 Dior bags.
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, again, you're like, this woman gave you a nice gift, and you're insulting her.
- 3:42unknown: Yeah.
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: Why are we acting like Carmela's like this piece of shit for getting her a nice birthday gift?
- 3:48SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 3:49SPEAKER_02: And it's also interesting that like she says that she should lead with it because then she tries to lead with it, and then Vicky and other people get so upset and need to question the validity of her job and what she actually does.
- 4:04SPEAKER_01: They just aren't gonna like her no matter what.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: They're just like looking for reasons to not like her.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: Like, this is not a reason not to like somebody because she gave you a nice birthday gift.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: It's also really unappreciative for the person who received the birthday gift to be complaining about the gift.
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: That's like so rude.
- 4:21unknown: I know.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: I'd be like, I'll take the gift back.
- 4:25SPEAKER_02: I'll take my$3,000 gift back, bitch.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: Right, exactly.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: Um, and then we find out, of course, that Jen, Mr.
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: the fucking pot, has told Carmela all of the things that Vicky was saying about her at dinner the other night, which is like, of course, Jen did that because this is like her big MO.
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: And then, okay, so this is like what I I don't know what you're gonna think of this.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: So that leads to the whole conversation about how Carmela and Jen are becoming are like buddies, and Carmella has asked Jen to work on a development project for her to help her pick out some tile and other things for this house that she's working on, and she's gonna pay her$20,000.
- 5:13SPEAKER_01: And Emily and Vicky both find this to be like super suspect.
- 5:20SPEAKER_02: I mean, the thing is, knowing Jen, she didn't give all the details, knowing editing, we're not gonna get all the details.
- 5:29SPEAKER_02: And I think it's a little weird, but Carmella also seems like really giving, really friendly, and she wants to help Jen figure out a new career, and maybe it's not the best way to go about it, but I can understand why she did it.
- 5:49SPEAKER_02: So I don't know if I'm I don't know if I'm completely on the side of Vicky and Emily, but I'm I feel like I'm somewhere in the middle.
- 5:58SPEAKER_02: But I feel like if I was Jen, I wouldn't just talk shit about it.
- 6:03SPEAKER_02: I'd be excited that someone trusted me to do it, and then but then Vicki's like, why would she bring up the profit margin?
- 6:11SPEAKER_02: I'm like, well, if you're talking about giving someone a job, they probably want to know how much they want to be paid, right?
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: So I mean, yeah, I sort of took it like she was trying to help Jen out because Jen is wanting to make her own money.
- 6:28SPEAKER_01: Is that right?
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: That's what it seems like, yeah.
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it seemed like Vicky and Emily were looking at it as like Carmela was trying to be like overly like charitable and like woo Jen with this like$20,000 for doing like basically nothing, and that eventually she's just gonna be like preying on Jen's fiance to be like an investor in their next project.
- 6:58SPEAKER_01: And I was like, I don't think the intentions are that nefarious.
- 7:02SPEAKER_02: No, I don't think so either.
- 7:05SPEAKER_02: I don't think she wants to jump from Jen to her fiance.
- 7:10SPEAKER_02: Like, I think she's just honestly trying to help out, but people are thinking she's like too friendly and is just trying to buy friends, doing too much, yeah.
- 7:19SPEAKER_01: So I don't know.
- 7:21SPEAKER_01: I mean, I don't know.
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: I don't know what to think about that.
- 7:25SPEAKER_01: I I don't know if there's a reason why she asked Jen to do that.
- 7:29SPEAKER_01: Like, is that her area of expertise?
- 7:33SPEAKER_01: No, I think that was what they were talking about.
- 7:36SPEAKER_02: Okay, they were talking about it in another episode, I think, where like they've kind of skipped Carmela asking her to do this, they've skipped a couple of steps in something like getting her real estate license.
- 7:50SPEAKER_02: Like, she doesn't have a real estate license, she isn't a contractor and stuff like that.
- 7:58SPEAKER_02: So they're like, why is she doing it?
- 8:00SPEAKER_02: What how can she actually be of help?
- 8:02SPEAKER_02: But if she's helping doing the interior, then I don't think it's gonna be a bad idea.
- 8:07SPEAKER_01: It's also kind of like none of their business.
- 8:10SPEAKER_02: That is true.
- 8:11SPEAKER_02: Then again, but Jen made it everyone's business.
- 8:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's the thing is Jen does that, and it's like, why are you getting it?
- 8:18SPEAKER_01: Why are you like fielding everybody's opinion about this?
- 8:21SPEAKER_01: Like she's doing you a favor, it sounds like.
- 8:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I agree.
- 8:27SPEAKER_02: I agree.
- 8:28SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 8:29SPEAKER_01: I don't love Jen.
- 8:30SPEAKER_01: I feel like she needs validation from everybody.
- 8:32SPEAKER_01: I feel like she loves to stir the pot, and I I just think she's like deeply insecure.
- 8:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah, she turned everything around on her son in the first episode.
- 8:42SPEAKER_01: I can't even talk about that.
- 8:44SPEAKER_01: That was horrible.
- 8:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah, sorry.
- 8:46SPEAKER_02: I just can't stand her.
- 8:48SPEAKER_02: And then, okay, but then we go into a fun part in this scene, and we find about Carmela's restraining order, and how she gets the restraining order for getting on a getting in a fight with someone at the bar while she's on a stripper pole in Ohio.
- 9:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I was happy to know that this happened when she was 20 because at first I was nervous that it had happened recently, and I was like, Oh my god.
- 9:14SPEAKER_01: No, and like of course this happened in Ohio.
- 9:17SPEAKER_02: And then, but it seems like it started because the girl threw the cup on like the glass, like the drink on her, and then she followed.
- 9:26SPEAKER_02: So she says, Okay, I'm Team Carmela all the way.
- 9:31SPEAKER_01: I'm not not Team Carmela, but I also know when you're 20 and you hate somebody and they have a reason to have a restraining order against you, you were probably the one that was like the aggressor, just saying.
- 9:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that is a good point.
- 9:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but anyway, the whole scene that she described, I was like, Oh my god, this is like trash city.
- 9:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah, definitely.
- 9:57SPEAKER_01: Um, she was like there was a stripper pull, so then she was just like, Yeah, there was a stripper pole, so I had to like get up there and dance, obviously.
- 10:06SPEAKER_01: And then they got into like some sort of face-off, I guess so over like a guy.
- 10:15SPEAKER_01: I don't know, it was kind of funny, cringing, and so that ends, um, and then Tamara's at her daughter's, and her daughter is like counseling her on her friendship with Shannon, and the only other thing is that Tamara wants everybody to know that her daughter's on birth control.
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: I was like, yeah, she's like an adult.
- 10:37SPEAKER_01: I mean, she should be on birth control.
- 10:42SPEAKER_01: Her daughter's also like an adult, though.
- 10:45SPEAKER_02: I know it was just like the way she said it.
- 10:47SPEAKER_02: Like, I have it in quotes.
- 10:48SPEAKER_02: She put her on birth control.
- 10:50SPEAKER_01: I and I mean it didn't need to be said.
- 10:54SPEAKER_01: I was like, she's not like 15, she's like living outside of the house and is like a full-blown adult.
- 11:01SPEAKER_01: I was like, I feel like we can all put the dots together that she's sexually active.
- 11:07SPEAKER_01: Like, did you have to say that?
- 11:09SPEAKER_02: Like, she is in love with her boyfriend though, and said they is marriage material, but then Tamara does say that she'd already had a kid for two years by the time she was Sophia's age, so I think she's worried, but like I put it here, and it's like because the put her on birth control, and Slate was sitting next to me and goes, weird, so she's just like an animal.
- 11:32SPEAKER_02: Like, oh my god, I yeah, I know I can't.
- 11:39SPEAKER_01: So weird.
- 11:40SPEAKER_01: It was like, yeah, I'm sure her daughter's not gonna appreciate those comments when she watches this back.
- 11:47SPEAKER_02: If I was a housewife, if I was a kid of a housewife, I don't think I want to be brought up in the show at all.
- 11:54SPEAKER_01: Like, yeah, it's it's too hard to be an adolescent and to go through all that and to have like this type of drama going on.
- 12:04SPEAKER_01: Like that scene with Jen and her son.
- 12:07SPEAKER_01: I'm like just cringing because people at school are gonna see that.
- 12:11SPEAKER_01: And he's like talking about how he's being bullied at school, and then she starts crying as if this is like super painful for her.
- 12:19SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, I get why it's painful for you that your son is in pain, but he now has to comfort you because he's being bullied in school because of how you've conducted yourself on the show, like that's really nice.
- 12:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's very weird.
- 12:34SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 12:35SPEAKER_02: I wouldn't like it.
- 12:36SPEAKER_02: I think I'd want to be on it as like maybe an adult like child, but or like closer to being an adult.
- 12:44SPEAKER_02: I don't, but even like airing out that you told Sophia to go on birth control and Sophia's in her 20s.
- 12:51SPEAKER_02: I'm like, oh, I don't know.
- 12:54SPEAKER_01: It's just so weird that she felt the need to specify that when her daughter is in her 20s.
- 12:59SPEAKER_02: Um, I know it's very weird.
- 13:02SPEAKER_01: Anyway, then we go to the dinner, which was like another fucking eye roll fest for me with Heather Shannon, Vicky, and Gina.
- 13:10SPEAKER_01: I am fucking so bored by this conversation.
- 13:13SPEAKER_01: It's like Vicky complains 5,000 times about being called a Debbie Downer.
- 13:19SPEAKER_01: Then it's like Heather's crying because Emily told her to like stop talking so much.
- 13:28SPEAKER_01: I'm like, this is not that entertaining, like, these are the most boring issues between a friend group I've ever heard in my life.
- 13:36SPEAKER_02: I know, I know, and like Tamara and Shannon are like the only thing is Tamara and Shannon are finally in like their peaceful place, but Heather reiterates the fact, like the whole box thing, too.
- 13:48SPEAKER_02: Like, she can put what she doesn't like to the side, so instead of saying she can compartmentalize it in a box, she can put it to the side.
- 13:58SPEAKER_02: Like, on this again, like I don't know.
- 14:03SPEAKER_02: And she's like, I feel like Emily was shunning me, and then Gina is like, Well, you were being really harsh, like Emily was being really harsh, and it was uncalled for, and she's like, basically, I can say that because she's my best friend.
- 14:16SPEAKER_02: I'd be pissed if I was like Emily and watching that back.
- 14:22SPEAKER_01: I mean, Emily's been like a big piece of shit, though.
- 14:25SPEAKER_01: She's like going behind her best friends' backs and like repeating everything that everybody else has said for no reason, and then also being rude about gifts that she's received.
- 14:37SPEAKER_01: I don't like love Emily.
- 14:39SPEAKER_02: I'm like, I'm just saying, huh?
- 14:43SPEAKER_01: I just I guess with like her and Gina, it's kind of like there's a difference, like when you're actually really close friends with somebody and you guys are gossiping, like you don't go and repeat that.
- 14:56SPEAKER_01: Like, that's not cool.
- 14:57SPEAKER_01: Like, why did she do that?
- 14:58SPEAKER_01: She was like, Oh, by the way, Carmilla has like a huge problem with the purse that you gave me.
- 15:04SPEAKER_01: It's like, why are you telling her that?
- 15:06SPEAKER_01: What is what is that?
- 15:08SPEAKER_01: What purpose is that serving?
- 15:09SPEAKER_01: You just completely threw your friend under the bus.
- 15:12SPEAKER_01: Like, yeah, Gina was talking shit about her, but it's like when you have a best friend, you say stuff about people they wouldn't say to anybody else.
- 15:20SPEAKER_02: True.
- 15:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's really strange.
- 15:23SPEAKER_02: It's just so rude, it's a really weird dynamic.
- 15:26SPEAKER_02: But I don't know if I would want to call out Emily like at dinner with all the girls, like later on.
- 15:34SPEAKER_02: I feel like if I something to say, like at my friend, I would want to do it privately just because like it's your best friend, even if they were being a piece of shit.
- 15:47SPEAKER_01: But I think Gina only said that because Emily was like, I don't need your help right now.
- 15:51SPEAKER_01: I don't need you right now.
- 15:53SPEAKER_01: Like she's like being all like aggressive, but I don't know.
- 15:57SPEAKER_01: I'm not a big Emily fan right now.
- 15:59SPEAKER_01: I just I don't think that that's cool.
- 16:02SPEAKER_02: Um also she just has like a bitchy looking face, like you just look at her, and I just feel like she's bitchy.
- 16:10SPEAKER_01: She has a really square jaw.
- 16:12SPEAKER_02: Maybe that's why I don't know.
- 16:16SPEAKER_02: I just feel like she just gives off bitch vibes.
- 16:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she's not coming across nice at all, and none of them are coming across likable to me, except for Shannon and Carmella.
- 16:29SPEAKER_02: I know it's so weird because I thought people didn't like Shannon, and I'm trying to figure out why, because she's like the most level-headed, make sense, nice one.
- 16:39SPEAKER_01: Because I think she's probably going through her phase where she's got all of her own issues going on, and she doesn't have time to like be a big bitch to everybody, but she probably has been in other seasons and we just haven't seen it.
- 16:51SPEAKER_02: I really just need to like start at the beginning tomorrow and just let it play in the background like all day.
- 16:57SPEAKER_01: I do too.
- 16:58SPEAKER_01: I need to like go all the way back, but yeah, no, they all seem like bitches, um, except for those two for some reason.
- 17:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and it's Shannon out to dinner with her dad, Gene the Machine.
- 17:10SPEAKER_01: He's 97.
- 17:12SPEAKER_02: I can't believe that.
- 17:14SPEAKER_02: And he's like out and about, but I don't know.
- 17:16SPEAKER_02: I thought that was awesome.
- 17:18SPEAKER_01: He was like tearing it up.
- 17:20SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 17:21SPEAKER_02: You need to offer, and then she tells her dad, though, that she got a bookkeeper because she wants to get out of debt by six months and she's never learned budgeting.
- 17:30SPEAKER_02: And I gotta say, maybe she should take your course.
- 17:37SPEAKER_01: She can book a one-on-one debt slate session with me for$150, and that's two sessions, and you will get a personalized debt payoff plan.
- 17:48SPEAKER_01: You can choose between one and two methods.
- 17:52SPEAKER_01: You will know how fast you can accelerate that.
- 17:55SPEAKER_01: You can get a very detailed plan and give all of your numbers to me or numbers nerd, and I will not judge you at all, and it would be perfect.
- 18:03SPEAKER_01: And I bet I could help her out.
- 18:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah, maybe you should reach out.
- 18:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah, just go.
- 18:10SPEAKER_01: It's amazing to me because it's like the simplest thing, but like so many people like get so overwhelmed by it, and it's like it's just it's such a basic skill, but a lot of people have no clue how to Kelsey.
- 18:20SPEAKER_01: What are you doing?
- 18:21SPEAKER_01: A lot of people have no clue how to how to do that, and it's crazy.
- 18:27SPEAKER_01: Okay, yep.
- 18:28SPEAKER_01: So they do that, they go out to dinner, and she says that she should come up with a name for herself when she's in her 90s.
- 18:35SPEAKER_01: Kelsey's like over the podcast.
- 18:38SPEAKER_02: My favorite one was Shannon the conquistador, Shannon Bador the conquistador.
- 18:43SPEAKER_02: I did too.
- 18:43SPEAKER_02: Bador the conquistador.
- 18:45SPEAKER_02: That's what I thought.
- 18:46SPEAKER_02: That would be the best one.
- 18:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, the rest of them weren't as funny.
- 18:52SPEAKER_02: Favorite.
- 18:53SPEAKER_01: Well, she was like brainstorming them in the moment, so yeah, they got better as she like went along.
- 18:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 18:59SPEAKER_01: That one's the one that sick me.
- 19:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so I agree.
- 19:03SPEAKER_01: Okay, and then we're at the winery.
- 19:05SPEAKER_01: Did I skip over anything?
- 19:07SPEAKER_01: No, no, no, okay.
- 19:09SPEAKER_01: So then we're at the winery, and Vicky arrives in more heavy tweed, all black tweed, she's in.
- 19:15SPEAKER_01: And it's not that I don't like what she's wearing, it's just again, it's like you're at a winery in Orange County and you're wearing like all black tweed.
- 19:22SPEAKER_01: It's just it's interesting.
- 19:25SPEAKER_01: Um, and she's not gonna sit at the end of the table because she says people will call her a Debbie Downer for not being able to hear everyone.
- 19:33SPEAKER_01: I'm like, you're a Debbie Downer for constantly fucking bringing this up, like constantly.
- 19:38SPEAKER_02: I know, I know.
- 19:40SPEAKER_02: I can't, and like I also forgot.
- 19:45SPEAKER_01: So she's been saying Debbie Downer, but then earlier in the episode, she's uh she's also constantly repeating her whoop it up phrase.
- 19:53SPEAKER_01: So earlier in the episode, I swear to god, I thought she said, Who do you have to blow to whoop it up around here?
- 19:58SPEAKER_01: But then in this part, she says, Who do you have to know to whoop it up around here?
- 20:03SPEAKER_01: And I was like, Oh, that's what she's been saying.
- 20:06SPEAKER_01: Because I was like, wow, um, I don't know, yeah.
- 20:11SPEAKER_01: Interesting.
- 20:11SPEAKER_02: Like, I just thought being at the winery, first of all, they're in Sam Capistrano, San Juan Capistrano.
- 20:18SPEAKER_02: I love it there, it's so freaking cute, it's adorable.
- 20:21SPEAKER_02: But anyway, I think that the winery, so many of them didn't drink wine, and Carmela just brings her own flask.
- 20:30SPEAKER_01: That was kind of trashy, I'm not gonna lie.
- 20:38SPEAKER_02: And Emily's like, I just don't like it.
- 20:43SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I do not understand.
- 20:46SPEAKER_01: Like, first of all, you do naughty things when you drink wine, but not vodka.
- 20:53SPEAKER_02: I know that part was really strange to me.
- 20:56SPEAKER_02: I feel like it should be like flip-flopped, but I just don't even oh, this is where the drinking game gets mentioned, by the way.
- 21:05SPEAKER_02: This is where it was every time that uh Vicky is to say Debbie Downer, you taste drink.
- 21:12SPEAKER_02: Because she is Debbie Downer that Heather came up with that, huh?
- 21:16SPEAKER_01: I think it's funny that Shannon keeps calling her Deb.
- 21:19SPEAKER_01: Like you can hear it in the background that she keeps calling her Deb or Debbie, and I'm like scared that Vicky's gonna overhear it and like scream at her because she keeps saying it, and I'm like, oh my god, is Vicki gonna like flip out?
- 21:33SPEAKER_01: So there's like lots of things going on, but then like Carmela walks up, and Vicky's like, oh my god, I can't believe she came here.
- 21:40SPEAKER_01: So, like, did she not invite Carmella?
- 21:42SPEAKER_01: And then she like goes up to Carmela and she's like, Hi, I'm Vicky, nice to meet you.
- 21:47SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, You're such a bitch.
- 21:51SPEAKER_02: Weird.
- 21:51SPEAKER_02: I think Tamra invited Carmella.
- 21:55SPEAKER_02: Okay, and so that is why she came.
- 21:59unknown: Yeah.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: Vicki like didn't want her to come.
- 22:02SPEAKER_02: But then Carmela goes up and doesn't Vicki apologize to Carmela, or is that later on?
- 22:11SPEAKER_02: I have to look at it.
- 22:12SPEAKER_01: I don't think she apologizes to her.
- 22:14SPEAKER_02: Okay, I lied.
- 22:15SPEAKER_02: I think nope, that was at a different time.
- 22:17SPEAKER_02: Ignore me.
- 22:18SPEAKER_02: So anyway, they're up there.
- 22:20SPEAKER_02: She reintroduces herself.
- 22:21SPEAKER_02: It's so freaking awkward.
- 22:24SPEAKER_02: And then was it Jen that was up there?
- 22:28SPEAKER_02: Someone, no, Tamara was like up there, and then she's like, I'm just gonna go to the I'm gonna abandon this right now.
- 22:35SPEAKER_02: I'll let them duke it out.
- 22:36SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, this whole thing is just set up to be awesome.
- 22:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but duke it out about what?
- 22:42SPEAKER_01: Like about what?
- 22:44SPEAKER_01: There's nothing happening.
- 22:46SPEAKER_01: Like then they go to sit down, and it's like Emily apologizes to Vicky for creating a monster about Debbie Downer, and then like Vicky calls out Carmela about what she does for a living, and basically everybody admits that they've been like questioning what she does for a living, and then they apologize to her, and I'm like, this is not entertaining at all.
- 23:10SPEAKER_02: No, it's not, and uh like then this is again, it's just like all stuff that we've seen played out a hundred times, like how Gina was mad at Shannon for apparently like speaking for Carmela at another dinner, and Shannon shouldn't do that, and then Shannon brings up the fucking Dior bag, and how it was like a weird thing, and Emily was like asked all these qu asked too many questions to Carmella, and Carmela thought that was a lot, and I'm like, this is what we have.
- 23:46SPEAKER_01: It's just dumb, but like after seeing all those clips of Emily grilling Carmela, I was like, Why did Carmela give her an ice gift?
- 23:54SPEAKER_01: Because Emily was like totally grilling her, and it was weird.
- 23:58SPEAKER_02: It was weird, but at the same time, also like Emily is an attorney, and Emily probably had a drink, and then she was asking her, like trying to get to know her.
- 24:08SPEAKER_02: If anything, Carmella could have flipped the script and done the same thing and seen what she had got, yeah, like from her, but it was just very weird.
- 24:18SPEAKER_02: I mean, it was weird.
- 24:19SPEAKER_02: I'm not saying it wasn't weird, but also you have the right to kind of turn the conversation or stop the conversation at the same time.
- 24:26SPEAKER_01: She does.
- 24:26SPEAKER_01: I mean, my bit like my big point here is basically like every argument that they have is just based on something that somebody else said at like a previous dinner or a previous outing.
- 24:42SPEAKER_01: Like, there's no there's nothing else, like there's no other substance to it.
- 24:46SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, this is just fucking boring.
- 24:48SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't want to have a thousand conversations about what somebody said, you know what I mean?
- 24:55SPEAKER_01: Like, it's not entertaining.
- 24:57SPEAKER_01: It's like they're fighting about prior fights that are fighting about prior fights and just discussing the prior fights, and I'm like, this is stupid.
- 25:06SPEAKER_02: It is stupid.
- 25:07SPEAKER_02: It is like there's only so much you can do, like handle like these stupid repeated conversations.
- 25:15SPEAKER_02: Like, how many episodes are we gonna talk about the bag?
- 25:18SPEAKER_02: And then she brings the bag to Vegas in a couple episodes, and then it gets talked about then too.
- 25:23SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, we are more than halfway through the season.
- 25:27SPEAKER_02: Like, what is there even?
- 25:30SPEAKER_01: I don't still understand.
- 25:31SPEAKER_01: Like, what is there even a talk about?
- 25:33SPEAKER_01: Like, is Carmela supposed to apologize for getting her a nice bag?
- 25:38SPEAKER_01: Like, what is the point?
- 25:40SPEAKER_02: Gina is like, I wrote, Gina is so obsessive about this.
- 25:43SPEAKER_02: Like, Emily says that she likes the gift.
- 25:46SPEAKER_02: Carmela's like, this is just me.
- 25:48SPEAKER_02: Like, I didn't like me, I wasn't trying to do anything, I was just doing this.
- 25:54SPEAKER_02: And Gina's like, It's weird, you gave my best friend this.
- 25:58SPEAKER_02: I think part of it is she's just upset that she didn't think to give the fucking$3,000 bag to her best friend.
- 26:05SPEAKER_01: I mean, she definitely came across as jealous, and I don't know if she actually is jealous, but that's like how it looks, and it's just like I don't understand what the problem is.
- 26:16SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't know, there's nowhere else to go with this bag story, like there's no level deeper to uncover.
- 26:24SPEAKER_01: Like, unless Emily is gonna give the bag back, there's nothing else to discuss here.
- 26:30SPEAKER_01: No, no, and then it's like you just keep having conversations in circles about what everybody has said behind Carmela's back about the bag, and I'm like, this is what I mean about they're just fighting about all these conversations.
- 26:44SPEAKER_01: I'm like, does she really need to know that every single person gave an opinion about her gift?
- 26:51SPEAKER_01: Like, what are we getting on here?
- 26:54SPEAKER_02: Cause then, like, speaking of repeating the conversations and like everything, because then isn't Emily also throws Vicky under the bus about the what she feels about Carmela, and so then she gives Carmela the thing, and I'm like, none of that had to be brought up.
- 27:11SPEAKER_02: Carmela could have just sat at the dinner, she didn't need to know what Vicky thought about her.
- 27:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Vicky's like, my boyfriend, or no, the third degree's like, my future husband is a developer, and basically just saying that like her her future husband, who is not even like planning a wedding with her, yeah, is a developer and he's a real developer, and Carmela's not.
- 27:36SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, what the fuck do you know about her work?
- 27:39SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 27:39SPEAKER_02: Because she's never sat, and as Carmela said herself, she's like, Vicky has never sat down and asked me any of this.
- 27:45SPEAKER_02: She has no idea what I do.
- 27:47SPEAKER_02: She hasn't even given me the chance to explain it.
- 27:51SPEAKER_01: Why does she care so much whether Carmela's a real estate agent or a house flipper or a developer?
- 27:58SPEAKER_01: Like she still has a job and works and makes money.
- 28:02SPEAKER_01: Like, why are you downing anything that she does?
- 28:06SPEAKER_01: Like, is yeah, I like they were acting like if she was actually a house flipper, that that's like such a low like job.
- 28:14SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, not really, like a lot of successful people do that.
- 28:18SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't know what they're trying to like get out of this.
- 28:21SPEAKER_01: Like, it's I don't know either.
- 28:23SPEAKER_01: What's so bad about what she does for a living?
- 28:27SPEAKER_01: Like, Vicky sells fucking insurance.
- 28:30SPEAKER_02: I want Vicky to explain like her actual opinions on why it is so bad and like why it can't be a thing, and we're never gonna get it.
- 28:41SPEAKER_02: Vicky is just too chaotic, she's been on the show too long, she's too calculated, she's never gonna say her true fee her true thing, and she's just gonna play up the few things that she has going for her.
- 28:54SPEAKER_02: I think they're honestly after this.
- 28:58SPEAKER_02: I'll be surprised they ask Vicky to come back.
- 29:01SPEAKER_02: She hasn't given anything.
- 29:03SPEAKER_01: I don't think yeah, I don't think they're gonna ask her to come back.
- 29:07SPEAKER_01: I don't I just think that they're like I said, I just think that most of them are like way too aware of the cameras at this point, and they're not giving us anything, and then they're just harping on the one new person, and they're harping on the most unentertaining stuff.
- 29:20SPEAKER_01: Like again, like it's like with Carmella, I feel like there's a lot more interesting things to uncover about her, and they're focusing on uh clutch and what she does for a living.
- 29:32SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, I feel like she has a lot more entertaining stories, like she was a wrestler, she was a Playboy model, like her husband had an affair, like two of her husbands had affairs.
- 29:45SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I feel like there's a lot more interesting things we could learn about her, and they're obsessing over like the most boring aspects and acting like she's horrible person.
- 29:54SPEAKER_01: I could hear way more about stripper pole fights, like I want to hear about this Danny guy and her relationship with Danny.
- 30:02SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm like, I would rather hear about that stuff and learn about that than obsess over the fact that she bought a nice gift for somebody.
- 30:10SPEAKER_01: It's like who cares about that?
- 30:13SPEAKER_01: I want to hear about like her home situation, right?
- 30:18SPEAKER_02: Exactly, complete agreement.
- 30:20SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 30:21SPEAKER_02: I think it's just all so weird.
- 30:24SPEAKER_01: It's so weird is the stuff that they're choosing to focus on.
- 30:27SPEAKER_01: It just is like there's actual interesting storylines that we could follow here, and none of them are giving anything.
- 30:35SPEAKER_01: Like, I feel like they they all have a lot more interesting things to give, and they just don't wanna like even like when you think about Heather, it's like, what have we learned about Heather this entire season?
- 30:46SPEAKER_01: Like, we've seen like none, we've seen nothing about her personal life at all.
- 30:51SPEAKER_02: I know we saw Terry in like one episode, her mom comes back to a different episode and they go out to lunch with Shannon, yeah, and you find out that she's always wanted to like have friends, and that's an a theme that comes through at the end is that like she feels left out.
- 31:10SPEAKER_02: But I'm like, there has to be something going on, you know what I mean?
- 31:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and even with Tamara, like they just keep focusing on the fight back with like Shannon and Vicky, but Tamara has like so many other storylines, like her daughter just moved out.
- 31:29SPEAKER_02: There could be drama, you know what I mean?
- 31:31SPEAKER_01: Like, why are we yeah, there's no we're not getting below surface level with like anybody, and it's just really like annoying.
- 31:40SPEAKER_01: Great.
- 31:40SPEAKER_02: Instead, we're just getting a couple like angry dinners, so I don't know, right anyway.
- 31:48SPEAKER_02: I think that really concludes that episode.
- 31:50SPEAKER_02: Then it ends with Tamar saying this too has become a disaster.
- 31:55SPEAKER_02: So I'm like, that tracks, that tracks.
- 31:59SPEAKER_02: So anyway, guys, we wanna thank you for listening to us.
- 32:04SPEAKER_02: This was a shorter episode, but like we said, these episodes aren't given anything.
- 32:08SPEAKER_02: So if you have any like tidbits or things you think we need to like, give us the tea, yeah.
- 32:15SPEAKER_02: Give us the tea, let us do it, and like let us know and we'll episode or throw a TikTok up about it.
- 32:20SPEAKER_02: But we wanna hear from you.
