- 0:13Now let's get to this week's show.
- 0:24My wallet is sobbing. I can hear it.
- 0:26I can hear it in the hall now. It is breaking down crying.
- 0:35Yeah, it turns out that Attila the arrogant so and so he's got
- 0:39a fake hammer. Oh.
- 0:41A fake Whoa. As I say.
- 0:44Dick. Welcome to episode 80 of the
- 0:54Allegiance Podcast. That's 80, the atomic number for
- 0:58Mercury. There you go, Phileas Fogg.
- 1:01He went around the world in 80 days, didn't he?
- 1:05For you, For you. IT nerds smell.
- 1:08Standard TCPIP protocol for HTTP is 80.
- 1:14I'll take you out for that one. Yeah, there you go.
- 1:16So that's what we're talking through now.
- 1:17And and in French they don't have a number 80, they just tell
- 1:22you to multiply 4 * 20. Catcher van, that's eighty.
- 1:29There you go. So they're the different 80s
- 1:31that I could come up with for our 80th episode of the
- 1:34religious podcast. So Rich is back in the hot seat.
- 1:37How are you Rich? I'm good, thank you.
- 1:39Thoroughly enjoying an Internet that works.
- 1:42Very nice change after the last week.
- 1:45Yeah. Can somebody in Wales just sort
- 1:47out Rich like a kind of Wi-Fi dish or something, one of these
- 1:51things? It's just ridiculous.
- 1:52I mean, sometimes it's fine and then sometimes it's just like
- 1:57that wasn't. I see ads for them all the time
- 1:59when I'm watching a bit of Irish TV over here.
- 2:02And, you know, because there's a lot of houses in Ireland that
- 2:05are in the countryside and there's companies that sell
- 2:08these kind of 5G, whatever things that you can stick in
- 2:11your house and and they say it's better than fiber.
- 2:16There you go. You need a mobile, one of them
- 2:17rich. Yes, yeah.
- 2:20Well, we tried them. We've got a little box that
- 2:23takes on the SIM cards and turns into Wi-Fi, and that actually is
- 2:26worse than having the same in my phone.
- 2:28So yeah, so that was a no go. So yeah, we'll get there.
- 2:33You will indeed. And Mal, how are you?
- 2:35Good week so far, yeah. Yeah, so far, yeah.
- 2:42Recording on a Monday this week for for scheduling reasons.
- 2:46So otherwise you'd have had to do with an episode without one
- 2:50of us again this week and we couldn't have that.
- 2:54Yeah. Plus, Bridge came up with the
- 2:55idea for this week's episode, so we definitely needed him.
- 3:01So this week, what are we going to do, Rich, apart from talk
- 3:04about a few things like that? We're going to talk about the
- 3:06skeleton and we're going to talk a little bit about the Legions
- 3:10con floor plans. And then after that, what are we
- 3:12going to do, Rich? We are going to talk about what
- 3:15is Mythos missing. There you go.
- 3:19So that could be anything really, couldn't it?
- 3:22It could be, yes. A bit of.
- 3:24Bit of cosmetium stuck in there as well by Malcolm.
- 3:27A will amount OK don't make a note of the timing of that you
- 3:31can cut it out he's. Yeah, he's just space on the
- 3:36brain, you know. And you also wanted to talk a
- 3:42little bit about maybe what parts we might Commission from
- 3:453D parts makers that wouldn't necessarily end up in the
- 3:49Legions line at all, maybe because it's outside of their
- 3:53wheelhouse or you just don't think that they would do it
- 3:57maybe. Yes, absolutely.
- 3:59Yeah. And a lot of the stuff that I
- 4:01think is missing from Mythos is absolutely stuff I would
- 4:03Commission in heartbeat. So there's definitely a
- 4:05crossover there with me. Got you, got you right.
- 4:09And so firstly, we should get on to one thing I wanted to shout
- 4:15out straight up is what the Four Horsemen are at in September and
- 4:21specifically there on the 7th of September, we see at the top of
- 4:26our screen, and this is a screenshot that was something
- 4:28that the Four Horsemen posted last week.
- 4:31Epic Toy Show in Arizona in Phoenix is run by our very own
- 4:37Phoenix in Flames, Arizona in Flames Mafia.
- 4:43It's Thomas Ballet and it's Dave Williams.
- 4:49And also Thomas's mate name escapes me right now.
- 4:54What? Sam?
- 4:55Sam. Yeah.
- 4:57So they're going to be running a Four Horsemen St. team there, so
- 5:01that's pretty awesome for them. So go check them out if you're
- 5:07in Phoenix, AZ, 7th of September.
- 5:10Definitely worth the checking those boys out.
- 5:13They give you a deal on some legions and tell them the Euro
- 5:16legions sent you. There you go.
- 5:17How about that? That'd be some, that'd be some
- 5:20circle, wouldn't it? These guys in Europe sent me to
- 5:24Arizona for some Legions. And there's also a couple of
- 5:28more things on there the same weekend, Retro Condes on.
- 5:31So that's Philadelphia. So that's the East Coast, that
- 5:35usual cruise. So probably the Wolfgang guys
- 5:37will be there. I guess.
- 5:39I think Anthony Hasil Toy Forge will be there for two and I'm
- 5:43sure lots of other people that are kind of closer in geography
- 5:47to the studio, umm, Taikon, New Jersey.
- 5:50Then the weekend after, again, I think, uh, that will be the four
- 5:55horsemen will be at both of those things.
- 5:56It's at their side of the country.
- 5:59Umm, so very, very cool. Uh, lucky you guys, if you can
- 6:04check those things out and uh, fan X, which is the 26th to 28th
- 6:09of September in, uh, Salt Lake City in I think that's Utah and
- 6:16that's a Dan Larson, that toy Galaxy related event, I believe.
- 6:20OK, interesting. He's he seems to be involved in
- 6:23that and that's a new one for the horsemen.
- 6:25So, so like city, you guys get the horsemen?
- 6:30Yeah, Nate, that way Nate does that, doesn't he, as a Utah
- 6:32native, so he'll. There you go.
- 6:34So that'll be Nate St. team. There you go.
- 6:37So, and maybe I don't know if anyone else from Studio Beacon
- 6:40out there may it's might be close enough to Walter, although
- 6:42Walter has moved, has he? He's moved to the other side of
- 6:45the country. I think I remember seeing that.
- 6:49Has he? He's left California.
- 6:51Yeah, I think he did. Or he was moving or in the
- 6:53process of moving. Yeah, OK.
- 6:55Yeah. So, umm, yeah.
- 6:59So we'd probably see a lot more of him than on that side of the
- 7:03country and maybe more involved in the day-to-day with the
- 7:08horsemen. So pretty cool.
- 7:10Umm, right. And then we had the legions con
- 7:15map, which is very small there. So what I've done is I've kind
- 7:21of cropped it out and very exciting to see the floor map.
- 7:26That kind of makes it real guys. And and seeing as it's in the
- 7:30same room as we had last year, you can kind of almost visualize
- 7:34it. That's that's the one, that's
- 7:38the really nice thing about it this year, isn't it?
- 7:40Because it's in the same place again where we were last year.
- 7:43You can, you can see it in your mind's eye and an idea of what
- 7:48it'll look like, which I don't know, adds to the excitement
- 7:51maybe, or that day. It does Mel, definitely.
- 7:55And the whole whole episode that Jeremy did with Curtis last week
- 7:59on his show, on Jeremy's show just got me so excited.
- 8:03All of a sudden I'm looking at T-shirt designs for myself.
- 8:06The three of us are discussing our T-shirt designs as a
- 8:08podcast. You.
- 8:11Know we're talking about pins. We may, yeah, might not be
- 8:14there, but we're talking about and you just, you know, she's
- 8:15got the the any the juices flowing, as it were.
- 8:18Yeah. Absolutely, absolutely.
- 8:22So the first we're, we're in the first row.
- 8:26So we are basically in the row that the Horsemen were in last
- 8:29year because they're going to be in a separate room, which we'll
- 8:35come to in a while. But yeah, we're there on the
- 8:39road with Anthony. So we teamed up with Anthony
- 8:42after the con last year to plan joining him this year basically
- 8:47with he's kind of assembled this group or he's been involved at
- 8:51least in assembling this group. So we have the Toy Forge and 13.
- 8:56That's Matt Steen, isn't it, Steen?
- 8:58Yeah, Fun House and Detour. Detour has two booths, so that's
- 9:03Marco Seal, Stefan de la Tour, of course, ourselves, Tristan
- 9:10and Carlo from Immortal Collections.
- 9:14Then behind we have Giovanni Mythic bits.
- 9:18That's Chris Ferrone and we have he Mike believe Mal you you have
- 9:23a he Mike custom. You.
- 9:24I do, yeah. You need to be careful.
- 9:28There's a couple there that I need to be careful.
- 9:30Giovanni, yes, is. Incredible.
- 9:32Yeah. I'm I'm the movie.
- 9:35About you're too close to Giovanni now you might break if
- 9:41you see that he has something left after like 10 bit 10:00 AM
- 9:44on the first day all right OK, I'm broken give it to me let all
- 9:48of it let's. Be honest, if he's got something
- 9:49left at eight O 1 miles, going to be just going over there
- 9:51again so. And then another one you need to
- 9:57be aware of Borderland Hoard and.
- 10:00These these boys could bankrupt me.
- 10:02The amount of course, you know, over the last few weeks, I keep
- 10:05making new boys going like F it, F it.
- 10:07There's another good 1F it. There's another great one.
- 10:10It's like, Oh no. Yeah, and I'm like, relax for
- 10:13it. You'll see.
- 10:14The Malaysians can he goes. I know that's the problem, but
- 10:19yeah, lovely guys. And then the malignancy in the
- 10:22corner there, the goblins. So the dwarfs and the goblins
- 10:26are teaming up it seems for allegiance.
- 10:30Can so. Yeah.
- 10:35And we and it doesn't look like it there.
- 10:37It's going to be an open plan set up as well, isn't it?
- 10:39We're not. Yeah.
- 10:41And it's going to be called the First Alliance.
- 10:44At least that's what has been mooted in the group to kind of
- 10:50coordinate a little bit between us.
- 10:51So yeah, that's not your favorite name, Ladsno.
- 10:58It's a choice. It's the sort of thing when you
- 11:01when you see that come up, then it's like, hey, we've got
- 11:03goblins, you've got elves. We need somebody else to have a
- 11:05load of, sorry, goblins and dwarfs and you smell have a load
- 11:07of elves somewhere, somebody else have a load of humans.
- 11:10We need to cover the first lions properly.
- 11:13Yeah, well, I'm not doing elves, so we'll have to rely on someone
- 11:18else for that, right. The next row is pretty similar
- 11:23to last year. You got Dennis Derby, Noah
- 11:27Pratt, Eric Miller. We got 24 is Creative Beast
- 11:34Studios, Then we got Brian Burke, Von Burke Studios.
- 11:40And then if we come beside Brian, we've got Drunk Gizmo
- 11:44Customs. So that's Alexander Deshaw.
- 11:49My F is going to kill me. Is there beside Matt rod ideas
- 11:55from Mars. So armies of Ashmore.
- 11:57So he'll be there drawn in his iPad.
- 11:59So if you can distract him for that, you can talk to him about
- 12:01the. You'll all remember Armies of
- 12:04Ashmore. That's the one that he wouldn't
- 12:05come on our show to promote last year.
- 12:08And he won't be this year either.
- 12:14So we've got Eugene, eh, unique Doctor Grimm's Custom, so he's
- 12:19right there, eh, It's same spot he was last year.
- 12:23And then in the corner #31 is Matt Rhodes.
- 12:27So there you go. So lots of talent there as well,
- 12:32guys. Really, really good.
- 12:36Yeah, staring at Noah's stuff and Eric's stuff.
- 12:39It's going to be dangerous as well, isn't it?
- 12:43Yeah. That's how Anthony put some kind
- 12:45of barriers up. So we can't, yeah.
- 12:48Because the clarity just walk. Around here into that corridor,
- 12:51you know. Sorry.
- 12:52And I will say and Dennis's stuff.
- 12:54Oh, Dennis is awesome. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 12:57My fear must be too close to Dennis's.
- 12:59I might get drunk. OK.
- 13:01Well, that's yeah. Sorry.
- 13:03Sorry, Rich. No, I was just going to say, I
- 13:05was going to clarify for the listeners that with Mouse,
- 13:07they're staring at their stuff. He means they're figures,
- 13:10etcetera. I mean, I mean, he might be
- 13:12staring at the other stuff as well, but you know, that's,
- 13:14yeah, that's not going to be a big thing for the day.
- 13:17Staring at that, it's really nice.
- 13:21Staring at little little Noah and a little Dennis and all
- 13:24that. So moving along, so the next
- 13:29booth down South on the same side of the room, so right at
- 13:34the end, they're 41 and 51 is Lone Wolf Labs.
- 13:37They're dioramas. They have lots of great stuff,
- 13:41quite competitively priced. I remember from last year.
- 13:44Yeah. Dios, yeah, Dios being being a
- 13:48foreigner is a tough one. So I just kind of ignore them in
- 13:52a way. I mean, I admire them, but they
- 13:54don't go much further than that because they're not going to buy
- 13:57because it's too difficult to get home.
- 14:01So in our slot where we were last year, our table of 52 from
- 14:05last year is now Toys R Ish. So you got in the corner there.
- 14:10I'm just going to actually go across it.
- 14:11So you got an Empire toy shop across there as well.
- 14:13So that's another kind of toy shop.
- 14:16So if you want to get lots of different figures, that might be
- 14:20a little spot for you. Behind Toys R Ish is D Blake
- 14:25makes. That's the guy that makes all
- 14:26the signs for your shelves and displays and stuff.
- 14:30He has awesome stuff. He also had I think faction
- 14:33logos last year from the Horsemen.
- 14:34Some of them, not them all. You boys tempted by those?
- 14:38I was. I kept staring.
- 14:39I was tempted, except for there was only, I don't think there
- 14:42was all the factions. And then I was like, oh, it's
- 14:45going to be like the coins from the game and it's just going to
- 14:47annoy me in the end. So if he's got more living, you
- 14:51could be. AI don't.
- 14:52Yeah, I'd be tempted. I'd get a pack of 10, you know,
- 14:56for all the factions. That'd be awesome.
- 15:00And like 10 is not too many, you know?
- 15:02If there was 50 factions in legions, I'd be like, OK, I
- 15:04totally understand you can't make them and I get my few
- 15:06favorites. But when there's only a nice
- 15:09smallish number of factions, that could be pretty cool.
- 15:15So 43 is death by collectibles and 53.
- 15:19Then behind them is Paul's customs.
- 15:21We recite him last year. So.
- 15:25If Paul's bringing his mom again this year, I'm going to have to
- 15:27go along and say hello to her because she was a nice lady.
- 15:30She was lovely, yeah, and I'm sure her wasn't a leg.
- 15:34She had a like a broken leg. Yeah.
- 15:38So hopefully that's healed about Umm Paul is supposed to have a
- 15:43lot of new stuff this year, so as he did a kind of a clear out
- 15:46of his old stuff on his website. So that would be exciting to see
- 15:51the real land. Prices as well, isn't he?
- 15:53Yeah, he not. He always has good prices.
- 15:55Yeah, 44 is the five borough collective.
- 15:59So I don't know who that is. And sure, I probably know the
- 16:04guys names if if somebody was here to tell me, but I don't
- 16:09know who they are. Probably 5 people we know just
- 16:14haven't heard that brand name. And 54 is Dirk's designs.
- 16:19They're Nagle customs. For that table, sure.
- 16:24And then right on the yeah, right on the end cap there like
- 16:27he was last year is Noble Bear Customs.
- 16:30So Anthony Velez. And I think he was suggested he
- 16:33might be sharing with Blaze again this year, which?
- 16:35Right, yeah, because I didn't find Blaze on the map and he was
- 16:38saying he was doing it. So I see that's that's a good
- 16:41joke. Yeah, Blaze is definitely
- 16:43selling. He was chatting to me.
- 16:45Maybe he's part of the five borough collective.
- 16:48Oh, maybe. Let's see across the aisle then
- 16:55we have. That's Leyland, isn't it?
- 16:59Yeah, yeah. Customs and kingpin costumes,
- 17:02Lenny. So we had them on for an
- 17:04episode. Unparalleled Universe is their
- 17:13number 63. So that's the guy who's toy
- 17:16reviewer and he has a figure now, isn't that right now?
- 17:19That's right. Yeah, I must admit I don't know
- 17:21leads about him. He's not one.
- 17:22I know it's. A watch, but I know he's very
- 17:25popular with people. Is the figure like called odious
- 17:28or something? It's like a simian type.
- 17:31Bigger, yeah, yeah. With soft goods kind of clothing
- 17:35and stuff. So struck family crass.
- 17:38They're back this year so that's good to see for all your soft
- 17:41goods needs. So very cool #72 across there is
- 17:49Forge Toys, so Fox Forge choice of the Galactic Valor guys.
- 17:55I think they were in the same spot last year.
- 17:57And then right beside your buddies Spiro Toys and warriors
- 18:02is Mark Calvo, another European action figure showroom.
- 18:08So Mark has a cool stuff, Calvo, he's got some creations.
- 18:14He has websites, that's what it's called.
- 18:15So Google that if you want to see what he has.
- 18:19Yeah, Mark's got some amazing stuff.
- 18:20It's really good to see him there.
- 18:22But I will have to like wear sort of blinkers or something
- 18:24like that so I can chat to him. Without looking at the.
- 18:27The pillows next to him, Oh yeah, It would just just touch
- 18:30him at the bar. Yeah.
- 18:32Just be. Be an adult, Rich, yeah.
- 18:36I am. I am an adult.
- 18:37It's difficult sometimes, I'll be honest, but I am an adult.
- 18:42Could have filled me. Yeah, I'm lucky my wife and
- 18:47child are not here. They both look at me going.
- 18:48You're really not, dude. No.
- 18:52Yeah, I, I could have known that without ever hearing them say
- 18:56that, right. And then across the across the
- 19:00aisle. So we're back to the top of the
- 19:03other side of the room here. And so opposite main entrance
- 19:06two, we're opposite main entrance 1:00 on the other side
- 19:11we have the kind of wolf king area.
- 19:13So we've got wolf King customs. We've got Patrick Boyle.
- 19:18Is there number six with Tell Tale Art?
- 19:24It's. Oh yeah, it's Nathaniel
- 19:25Armstrong. Yes, Italian Armstrong.
- 19:27Course it is. We've got Lord Stephen and Dave
- 19:31Williams. So little and large.
- 19:34Hang on, John, Lord Stephen's not with my wife's going to kill
- 19:37me, boys. No, he hasn't and it wasn't last
- 19:40year either. Can you believe?
- 19:41Yeah, Let's see how much salt throw Pete throws them because
- 19:45he's thrown no salt at me because they said look gonna go
- 19:48a different way for the shirts this year, Pete, you know,
- 19:52because and and straight up about the shirts.
- 19:56I mean, we, we love to do the shirts.
- 19:58They're great advertising for the podcast and they were.
- 20:01They are not a money maker if anyone's making money off
- 20:03shirts. It might maybe the people that
- 20:06make the shirts because they do enough bulk and they do enough
- 20:09orders. But any individual people
- 20:11they're either. I mean, I mean some people were
- 20:14giving away shirts mostly which is quite expensive.
- 20:17But yeah, we're just trying to cover the costs on the shirts
- 20:21and we didn't do that last year because we didn't take
- 20:24pre-orders and we just ordered a number out of our head and
- 20:29eight, eight that. They've got some.
- 20:32They'll come with me, too. Yeah, exactly.
- 20:36As a mall still have some more of last year's shirts, so I
- 20:40might even have a few as well. So bringing them along to 8.
- 20:45We have a meal for your tribute customs.
- 20:50He's a lot of there. You live in London display
- 20:52probably a lot sold beforehand like last year.
- 20:57Man is famous and so he sells only stuff pretty easily in
- 21:02advance. Uh, we got #9 we got the
- 21:05Ackerman's, so darling Curtis and Tanya McCoy.
- 21:09So we spoke to Curtis last week, uh, about the deadly soft goods
- 21:13that Darren is going to have. Curtis has a wide range of
- 21:16customs, maybe some heads. So I'm not sure what Tanya has.
- 21:20Do we know? I know she has done some
- 21:22customs. I've definitely seen some of her
- 21:24customs. She does have football teams and
- 21:25stuff. I think they seem to be.
- 21:28So she was going to show, I think, Curtis said.
- 21:30She was showing them off. She was going to have them on
- 21:32display. Which is at them on display,
- 21:34right, Right. That's very cool because I did
- 21:37think she probably wasn't selling them because they seem
- 21:39to be quite a personal thing. So that's awesome to have them
- 21:42on display. Jesse and Jessica, Elvis, you'll
- 21:46have awesome stuff, lots of customs and stuff like that.
- 21:50A very creative stuff Jesse does, especially if you're into
- 21:54the flock. Jesse's table as well.
- 21:55He should also have Oh, there's a good chance he'll have Brian
- 21:59see as well. Oh.
- 22:01Yeah, I didn't see Brian listed unlisted.
- 22:03Mark Oh godness. Uh.
- 22:05Rivera. Yes, but Brian and Mark both
- 22:08sell this definitely Wolf King now as well sort of thing.
- 22:10So it all fits in with the Wolf King family sort of feels.
- 22:13Gotcha. OK.
- 22:15And Eric, LeBron is there in the same spot he was last year.
- 22:19He'll have a lot of customs for sale.
- 22:22Eric does awesome customs and then mythic customs, that's
- 22:28Jeremy Gerard. He'll have a table of mythic
- 22:30shoguns I think, which are is a display piece this year, and
- 22:35he'll have a table of stuff for sale so.
- 22:39Yeah, if you can't find me at any point, there's a very good
- 22:41chance I'll be stood staring at the mythic Shoguns.
- 22:44OK. Trying to convince Jeremy to
- 22:47sell you on. It's known otherwise.
- 22:56You're probably not wrong there, John.
- 22:58You probably. So what all about this year was
- 23:01all of the Shogun? I've got 5 mythic samurai
- 23:06figures from Jeremy from a couple of years back sort of
- 23:09thing. So, you know, if I get a chance,
- 23:10that wouldn't be the end of the world.
- 23:14Sure wouldn't right across the way.
- 23:17Then we have Meta travellers, so their figures must be coming
- 23:24soon enough or within the next while.
- 23:26I know they did a recent update that it's taking a bit longer
- 23:29than expected, but every single action figure production takes
- 23:34longer than expected, so that's just a fact of life.
- 23:38But I'm looking forward to getting the ones that I ordered
- 23:41from them. Be interesting to see what kind
- 23:44of latest stuff they have. Maybe they have factory
- 23:47prototypes or stuff like that. Or factory pay.
- 23:51What are they called? Paint Masters.
- 23:56Paint, paint, no paint masters. The one you send to the factory,
- 23:59I think. Oh right, yeah, yeah, yeah, I
- 24:03think you're right. Rich Dang studios.
- 24:05So across most last year. This is this is mum and dad,
- 24:09Dusty and Ange. So look out for them.
- 24:13They have all they have a wide variety of stuff.
- 24:15And of course the Cabal Creations comic book, which is
- 24:19cosmic this year man, I believe. Yes, I need to.
- 24:22So you need to get one of them. Yeah, I'd definitely be getting
- 24:25another one or two. And and, of course, the
- 24:28calendar. The calendar man himself.
- 24:30Mr. 16 Shooter. Trevor, he's right there.
- 24:34Boot 28 and 27, his Future Past customs.
- 24:42Any idea who that is? No, it's a new one.
- 24:45Help me. Jeremy certainly show.
- 24:47Bear with me. OK.
- 24:51I should probably bring up the Allegiance Con website.
- 24:53Maybe that gives a bit more. That doesn't say our Future Past
- 25:02Pat and Steve. Yeah.
- 25:03So these were the guys I made a note of some of the the ones
- 25:07when Jeremy was doing his show. These are the ones that were in
- 25:09the break the other room last year and they had some
- 25:13absolutely insanely good full custom figures like loads of
- 25:16motu tributes and all this sort of stuff.
- 25:18I. Didn't make it into that other
- 25:20room very much. Oh, that stuff.
- 25:21I I, I only had a few minutes just to run around that room,
- 25:24but I spent most of it just staring open mouthed at the
- 25:27stuff that they had. They weren't selling, I don't
- 25:29think, I'm not sure if they're selling this year, but the
- 25:31standard of the figures were out of this world were amazing.
- 25:35That's cool. OK, cool, right back to it here
- 25:43then. Carver Customs 26 on the end
- 25:46there. That's right.
- 25:47Yep. And so Brian has awesome stuff.
- 25:50He's teasing a good bit of stuff in the Cabal lately, so he
- 25:54should have the torches, obviously what he's famous for,
- 25:57and the Dios, but lots of other stuff too so.
- 26:01He's got his boy making Dios now as well as he said.
- 26:03Yeah, he saw as well. And also he has done some cosmic
- 26:11stuff, little robots and stuff now.
- 26:13Yeah, I've got to the basic one. I'm hoping he's got bits for it
- 26:17that I can buy when I'm there. Awesome.
- 26:21So then behind them, 36 and 37 is plunderlings.
- 26:25So they might have, I'm guessing they might have a figure for
- 26:29like a convention figure or something to pick up and
- 26:32probably just some figures for sale because they definitely had
- 26:35a bunch of figures for sale last year.
- 26:37So if you're looking to get into plunderlings or.
- 26:40Pick up a few, we could stay very, very cool, but they're one
- 26:45of those that I just don't get enough FOMO to have taken the
- 26:49plunge with them. But they are very cool figures.
- 26:52Yeah. And then 38 is PL. toy box
- 26:56photography. I think that's Pablo Lopez and
- 26:59insightful imagery. So that's toy photographers.
- 27:02So soon they'll have prints and stuff, you think?
- 27:10Yeah, yeah, we should do. Yes, yeah, yeah.
- 27:14Well known photographer. Or or at least to be displaying
- 27:18pictures that they do so 39 that is toys and tunes Pete La Ross.
- 27:27So do we know him? No, it sounds like the name of a
- 27:31vendor, like a toy shop vendor, but I don't know whether it is
- 27:33or not. OK, so returning Legions Con
- 27:39exhibitor Pete's display always includes some very hard to find
- 27:42older 4 horsemen figures. Oh is this the guy that has all
- 27:46the birds and that each year? Yeah, I think so.
- 27:48I think it is. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 27:51So formal toys? Mail.
- 27:54Yeah, they make some great stuff, but it's another one.
- 27:56I just, I just don't, I don't need this stuff.
- 27:59You know, it's nice to see it and it's cool seeing it in
- 28:02person when you're there, but I don't get the FOMO enough to the
- 28:06FOMO for former. Yeah, so I've, I've heard them
- 28:10like mistakenly, it's called formal toys occasionally on
- 28:14shows and then and then sometimes the show realizes and
- 28:18they still just got them for more.
- 28:21Even being into origins and stuff like that, you don't feel
- 28:23the need to maybe. If if they'd given them the
- 28:26origins treatment, I think I'd be more inclined, but I'm not
- 28:31too fussed about the vintage style of, you know, the old MOTU
- 28:38stuff. There's something about the
- 28:40articulation of origins that makes them really fun.
- 28:46Cool, cool, right, the next. So that's then another row down
- 28:53on the same side. We got Duarte Studios.
- 28:57So on the end cap there, that's Brian Almeida.
- 29:00So I'm sure he'll have a big, big Dios for display and stuff.
- 29:04Do you guys know anything more about what he has this year or
- 29:06as he teased, anything? He's he's been doing the turtle.
- 29:12I think he did a skateboard and maybe like a oh, he was selling
- 29:21a manhole cover type, I guess display stands, but just little
- 29:27manhole, almost like coasters. So I wonder if he'll have some
- 29:30of that stuff there and maybe some more Legions related stuff
- 29:35as well. Right.
- 29:38So very, yeah, last year he was, he was promoting a lot of stuff.
- 29:41But I've not, maybe he just doesn't go around to yet, but
- 29:43I've not seen much room so far this year.
- 29:47Yeah, the last thing I saw he was he does, he was redoing
- 29:49those as you said, the turtle vans and people could send them
- 29:54a turtle van and he would kind of weather it all up and I don't
- 29:59know, do a lot of different stuff to it.
- 30:01I must admit if he is doing the summer turtle stuff I might end
- 30:04up picking some stuff up for him as well.
- 30:09And beer man photography so that's that's another
- 30:14photographer obviously Jared. So he'll be offering a 3D
- 30:19printed items and dioramas. So that would help.
- 30:26Also. He's he's basically selling
- 30:28stuff that you could use in your toy photography as kind of
- 30:31background stuff, right, That's cool.
- 30:34That's pretty cool, isn't it 48? So that's go figure.
- 30:39Go. So anyone know what they are?
- 30:42No, before I look them up. No new one.
- 30:45No, I don't know those. OK, OK.
- 30:52Don't have them here, I'm sure Jeremy said about them.
- 30:54So Big Head Studios is next. They always have great 3D
- 31:00printed stuff and usually they have good deals on, like you can
- 31:02get seven for. I remember they had last year a
- 31:06deal for five and a deal for seven and it was pretty good.
- 31:08Yeah, I got it last year. I took advantage of their big
- 31:11one. There was 15 for 100.
- 31:13There you go. Yeah, that was.
- 31:15I took advantage, yeah. And two really nice guys because
- 31:17I took ages to pick last year and they were really good at me
- 31:20about it. So yeah.
- 31:23Of course they were. They knew you were going to buy
- 31:24them. No, they are two nice guys
- 31:26anyway. Yeah, the chance of a bit the
- 31:28year before 2 nice guys. So go figure.
- 31:31Go is is. Again, props for you for the
- 31:34figure photo and dioramas and things like that.
- 31:37How? Cool.
- 31:37So it's good. It's good to have them all in
- 31:39the kind of area and they can compete with each other.
- 31:42Crash box customs is on the the end cap there.
- 31:48So again, pretty awesome for eh dio people, people that live
- 31:54reasonably near. I mean, they're cosmic DIOS mall
- 31:58are. Incredible.
- 31:59You can take them apart. There's a little part of me
- 32:01that's every time I go, I'm gonna go away with like the
- 32:05small cosmic dio that they do and then don't.
- 32:11And every time I go, I spend the year between, you know, the last
- 32:15two years going. Oh, I should have just got it.
- 32:17I should have just got it. So this time I'm.
- 32:19Like surely this one that's like just perfect for, you know,
- 32:23doing a single figure photo. There is.
- 32:25Yeah, they do. They do.
- 32:27That wouldn't be too bad in the luggage.
- 32:30No, no. And as I say, it is all take
- 32:32apart. You can take it all apart.
- 32:33So that's what they do with their stuff.
- 32:36So I might well bite the bullet this year and actually get a
- 32:40couple of, well, a DIO piece for my cosmic stuff.
- 32:46There you go. So highly posable.
- 32:48Is the next one their customizers?
- 32:51They'll be joined by Mythic Heathens as well.
- 32:55Yeah, that's some Corey shorts and Haffer, isn't it?
- 33:00Yeah, there'll be some good bits there as well.
- 33:02Corey does some really good. Stuff yeah, the Geek Out show.
- 33:06So that's Jade Russo and the boys.
- 33:09So they'll have they've customs. They've had 3D printed stuff in
- 33:15the past. I know we got, they gave us some
- 33:18freebies last year. Definitely got some stuff off
- 33:21them. So that's another cool one to
- 33:25check out. They'd be bit like ourselves, I
- 33:28guess. 57 Anyone recognize them? No.
- 33:34Is it Perry Morel? Yeah, Perry Morel.
- 33:37Yeah, he does. Perry does all the awesome troll
- 33:40customs trolls. So I don't think he sells
- 33:42necessarily. I think.
- 33:43I think he normally just displays.
- 33:45Displays. Amazing.
- 33:47And last year he had Andy Spinks with him as well, sharing the
- 33:50table. I don't know if Andy's going
- 33:51this year or not. Hopefully he is because his
- 33:53customs are amazing and always in the buying.
- 33:54Yeah. Awesome.
- 33:59Legion's Lair. So we know those guys, Brad and
- 34:03Mike. So they'll have, they said
- 34:06they've had some surprises in store.
- 34:08So I guess we have to, we have to see what that's going to be.
- 34:13I'd imagine it's pins of their faces dressed up as the
- 34:15characters are named after them. They haven't done that.
- 34:21They're missing a trick. And they talk about surprises,
- 34:25those guys for now, and it's not really fair on them.
- 34:27I just imagine some kind of unwanted nudity because they're
- 34:32not really like that. But.
- 34:35No, that's more. Now that's that's a difference.
- 34:37My wife exactly. That's legions gas now.
- 34:41Yeah, yeah, yeah. They're known for their nudity
- 34:43since this week. 67 is Art Gutierrez.
- 34:50And So what does Art do? Anyone know I.
- 34:55Recognise the name I. Just don't know that's right.
- 34:59OK, right. So you can look that up while
- 35:09we. Move Oh he's yeah, he's toy so
- 35:11yeah he's he's Instagram says toy photography toy vlogger that
- 35:16sort of. Stuff.
- 35:16OK, Recognise it? Yeah.
- 35:21And then 6068 is shelf gravy. No, you don't know them.
- 35:30That's diodes, isn't it? Shelf gravy.
- 35:32Yeah, handcrafted dioramas self goods.
- 35:36So 69 is 7 AMI I'm. Interested to see what they have
- 35:47actually they. Have them see how they have.
- 35:48Yeah, they, yeah, yeah. And they've shown some really
- 35:51cool stuff since. I'll use some really cool color
- 35:53palettes and that sort of thing. So I'll be intrigued to see what
- 35:56they. Have there, yeah.
- 36:02And then 70 is chubsy, chubsy websy.
- 36:09So that's a toy shop basically, Yeah.
- 36:13So you'll have to forgive us. That's not really what we're
- 36:16there for, but I'm sure if you lived in the area that would be
- 36:20cool. No, I wouldn't necessarily drive
- 36:22out there. No, I.
- 36:25Never know what they might have might be able to get some stuff
- 36:28that we can't get so easily over here.
- 36:30The same with Empire Toy Shop. You know, there might be or
- 36:34Mexico or something that has passed us by over here.
- 36:38I was thinking that mall, yeah, that even if you play like, you
- 36:41know, con prices, it's looking to be cheaper than getting it
- 36:43from Big Bad, plus the shipping, plus the import duty.
- 36:46Yeah, exactly that, yeah. Right.
- 36:50So Art Gutierrez, he's also customizer, so he'll have
- 36:53customs at his table. So I think, I think I know the
- 36:56guy actually now remember him, he was quite near to yeah, he
- 37:01was in that same similar place last year.
- 37:03I think he was maybe beside Brian Carver customs.
- 37:07So right, we have 76. So that's Panther comics.
- 37:17So they started over 10 years ago as being a Games Workshop
- 37:22retailer. He'd be bringing plenty of
- 37:23Citadel paint supplies and Warhammer 40K sets in addition
- 37:27respect to see loose part bins and a few custom legions.
- 37:32Were they there last year? Yeah.
- 37:34I think they were in the other room.
- 37:35There was definitely someone with a big, big rack of paints.
- 37:40So. Right, OK, 78 is turn off.
- 37:49Sorry 77 There's a new page here.
- 37:54Chucky's Geek Spot so 77 Chucky's Geek Spot so.
- 38:00Retailer. That's another retailer.
- 38:02That's another retailer, yeah. And then 78 Jabba's Palace.
- 38:08Do we know them? Jabba's Palace.
- 38:13I was jobas. Yeah.
- 38:16It is. Yeah.
- 38:16Joe. Oh not, don't be GI Joe's I.
- 38:21Don't think it will be. Barge load of mythic legions,
- 38:24cosmic legions, Marvel Star Wars or so they're another retailer
- 38:28are kind of a shock. Yeah, yeah.
- 38:30So and then we have 79. We all know him, artists Zoran.
- 38:37Here we do. Yeah.
- 38:39Incredible. Yeah.
- 38:41I managed to run out of time and didn't get anything from art
- 38:43last year, but that's going to be corrected this year.
- 38:46Yeah, I see he's on a work trip over in Thailand at the moment,
- 38:51so, but he's getting time to paint all the same.
- 38:54So yeah, he should have a lot of cool stuff.
- 38:59He's always trying to improve and I think many people if they
- 39:03got to his level would think they don't need to improve
- 39:06anymore. So that's, that's very
- 39:09impressive, I think #8 sorry, Yeah, Richard.
- 39:12I was going to say Art with this table as well.
- 39:13I think Curtis has said this a couple of times.
- 39:15He rotates what's out as well. So you know, it's not a case of
- 39:19everything's out once you go past once you've seen it all
- 39:21sort of thing. He does rotate during the days
- 39:23so there's always new stuff. Up there, yeah.
- 39:27And then AT is Troll Head Studios.
- 39:31So they do troll heads. And giant, giant full size metal
- 39:37swords, Yeah. And also then we did the
- 39:40dioramas. Did these to blame?
- 39:42I mean, yeah, like. The leather.
- 39:44Stratos that's yeah, that's Jamie's does and Paul.
- 39:49Jamie and Paul, isn't it? Yeah.
- 39:50Yeah, Jamie and Paul like mad about you following exhibitors
- 39:58will be in the hallway, so it's very small to see see them
- 40:02there, so I'll just run through them.
- 40:04Says fit you articulated times so that he's a toy photographer.
- 40:08No, that renders FX rogue gallery, rogues gallery, Khaled
- 40:13udin jje toys, honeypot project, brutal realm, the gabal swag
- 40:23shop and cellar door graphics and the 90 is the legions con
- 40:28figures and pins and stuff. I think I actually, I think it's
- 40:32really cool that there's going to be vendors in the hallway.
- 40:35It kind of makes that whole area as you go down that corridor
- 40:40into the into the the con, you know, and almost, I don't know,
- 40:50sort of more of a den of iniquity for want of a better
- 40:53way of putting it as you go down that corridor around the corner
- 40:56and in just loads of cool. Stuff.
- 40:58What are they going to be vending now?
- 41:00Jeez. I'm, I'm imagining smoke and
- 41:11also it's bellowing down the corridor and the music in the
- 41:14background as if we're in the bazaar, you know?
- 41:21So just a few interesting ones I've seen here.
- 41:24Uh, so uh, Rogue's gallery specializes in a one-of-a-kind
- 41:29hand sculpted statues, custom mythic and cup cosmic figures,
- 41:33dorama pieces and assortment of painted heads and more so
- 41:37sculpted statues that should be interesting to see what they
- 41:41are. Brutal realm I'm excited by.
- 41:46I'm hoping they they fund even if it means me spending more
- 41:50money. Yeah.
- 41:52I wonder if they're going to add the big bad orders in or
- 41:54something because they're they've got 10 days to go now
- 41:57and they're less than 50% still, which doesn't look great for
- 42:04them. As Jeremy sort of said, you
- 42:08know, if they don't, if they don't fund, they wouldn't be the
- 42:11first one. And then and you know, there's a
- 42:13chance and an opportunity to come back bigger and better
- 42:16later, isn't there? And and people do you know Valor
- 42:19verse didn't do it the first time around and look at them
- 42:23now, you know. Oh yeah, it's it's all about
- 42:25what they do next if they don't fund.
- 42:27It's not it's not to to wet dwell in the sorrow of that.
- 42:31And they've, I think they've got a very cool idea there.
- 42:35It's something it's in the vein of, but it's different enough to
- 42:39what else is about. Yeah.
- 42:43Yeah, so Khaled Udin, he's an author and.
- 42:49He's yeah, he was there as well. Yes, yes.
- 42:54Yeah, and Fish U is is a fitness coaching service being we'll
- 43:03have you on your way to being among the most lethal to walk
- 43:06the lands of mythos. Come learn how to steal Mace.
- 43:10Workouts could unlock your inner warrior.
- 43:14The horsemen obviously look old, Jeremy look and Joe looked at
- 43:17their their clientele and we're like do with some work here.
- 43:26I mean, to be fair, like if you're, if you're a fitness
- 43:29studio, yeah, it's maybe not a bad idea to try and pick a few
- 43:34clients from, you know, you know, people that you know,
- 43:38maybe you know. It's not the most.
- 43:40Potential, but no. But like, it could be, you know?
- 43:46No doubt. Well, that's what I mean.
- 43:48Opportunity. Yeah.
- 43:49Encouragement. Exactly, don't need to go after
- 43:52a lot of guys with six packs. They're already coached and.
- 43:57Do with a bit of help. Yeah, exactly.
- 44:02Then we have the the Four Horsemen rooms.
- 44:05And so we've got this mythic Legions and the Legions Armory
- 44:10experience. Let's not speculate on that
- 44:12because that's just, that's just going to be too embarrassing if
- 44:19we're wrong because it might even be revealed or something by
- 44:23the time this episode goes out. Yeah, I mean Jeremy.
- 44:25Jeremy said your. Way about it.
- 44:27No, he said on his show. It's going to be two or three
- 44:29weeks. I think we've got a bit of time.
- 44:31OK, but anyway, he did not. I don't fancy it.
- 44:34He did say it would be ticketed though, didn't he?
- 44:37Free ticket, yeah, but free tickets.
- 44:39So yeah, yeah. I think more to.
- 44:42So there's not everyone hitting it at once.
- 44:44I think that would be I think for that.
- 44:50Yeah, it's got to be cool little weapons to buy, surely?
- 44:54Yeah, there, there was some. That you can just.
- 44:56Get the one thing I will say there's been a lot of
- 44:58speculation about it being like a you know, Lego building a mini
- 45:02figure thing for legions. Well, it's going to be lots of
- 45:05different factory painted parts, but I just think that would be
- 45:08weird to have like a bunch of factory painted stuff out there
- 45:13that doesn't belong to any particular figure.
- 45:15Well, and then like, I know there's lots of customs out
- 45:19there and stuff, but this is like a factory painted green
- 45:22hammer or something and but it doesn't belong to any figure.
- 45:26It's a bit. That was one of the suggestions
- 45:28I saw, is that the second figure we saw on that, you know, we
- 45:32don't know what this is, was parts that we're going to be in
- 45:35like little in bins here. As you know, you could pick them
- 45:39up and build your own figure. Yeah, we'll see.
- 45:41That I just the logistics of that seems.
- 45:46Yeah, and also the amount of time can imagine people like
- 45:48faffing around trying to decide what they want and which bits
- 45:50they're going to buy, you know? No, you have to just like get
- 45:53through the set time limit and go like come on guys, time ago,
- 45:56time ago, but. Getting those parts through the
- 45:58factory as well whilst they're doing everything else.
- 46:02Yeah, but anyway, we'll find out won't we?
- 46:06I so want to get into GLIAS but really don't at the same time.
- 46:11And $30.00 for what of really quite small?
- 46:19I know it's because they're produced in small numbers.
- 46:21Just feels a little bit cost prohibitive to me.
- 46:24Especially also that you can't then hardly any of them actually
- 46:27ship over to this country if you want to order anything after
- 46:31legions contents. But it's very cool seeing them.
- 46:38Yeah, I mean, Gmail, it's they, they look really cool, but it's
- 46:41a lot of money for and you know, I'm not saying they're charging
- 46:44too much at all, but it's a lot of money for a tiny little bit
- 46:47of plastic. Yeah, for sure.
- 46:50And right then if I just go through quickly, who's in this
- 46:55room? And so if we go so the the
- 46:59bottom part, it's a separate entrance is the four horsemen.
- 47:01So they're the, you know, they're figures for sale.
- 47:06This is not the show figures, but this is the horseman boot
- 47:10and then you can exit out through there or you can go into
- 47:12another entrance to this room. Sorry now.
- 47:15This room, now that we're looking at is what G Con was in
- 47:19last year. OK.
- 47:22And the other room I think is then the room that was the 2nd
- 47:26room for vendors last year. Got you.
- 47:32Got you. OK.
- 47:35And you can only sorry, John, I was going to say.
- 47:38So there's a picture of George and Diego at the bottom because
- 47:42that's where the tills are. So you pick all your figures in
- 47:44this room, sunscreen now. Then you have to go through the
- 47:48doors into the other room to pay for them.
- 47:50Yeah, yeah, exactly. But you can't go from this room
- 47:53into the horseman. You have to go that outside.
- 47:56Yes, has to be the other way. Yeah, Yeah.
- 47:58But they're saying it about it being a fair as well.
- 48:00So I mean, it's not just, I don't think it's going to be a
- 48:02rack of tables like it's been previously.
- 48:04I think they're not saying, well, they're planning on doing
- 48:06something a little bit different.
- 48:08Or yeah, Jeremy sort of described it as being like a pop
- 48:11up store. Yeah.
- 48:12So the storefront he sort of was talking about the pop ups that
- 48:15you see it so could be like a bit more like a a little shop
- 48:19rather than. So it's not going to be a big
- 48:21massive table. It's going to be like worlds of
- 48:23figures, which is really cool, yeah.
- 48:26I mean, he wasn't, he didn't say for definitely.
- 48:28Yeah, but potentially, you know. Doesn't it?
- 48:30And I agree, I think that would be much cooler, wouldn't it?
- 48:33Racks of figures, rather than just a big.
- 48:36Table. It will, yeah.
- 48:37And it means people can wander around more than, doesn't it?
- 48:39Because that's the thing with the table.
- 48:40If you've got something in front of you, like me buying a ton of
- 48:43them, you could be there waiting for ages and it's like, come on,
- 48:45come on. And then?
- 48:47All the figures that are one per customer put them up really high
- 48:51so only Big Greg can reach them. And you have to go to big Greg
- 48:57and say, Hey, Big Greg, can I have a valiant night please or
- 49:01whatever. You know there was last year and
- 49:05and that and that's how you get your one per.
- 49:08That's it. And Greg's going to be like.
- 49:10Oh man, only get one of them, man.
- 49:16I can't do, my voice is absolutely, I'm still sick as
- 49:19probably you can hear. So yeah, I'm going to, I'm going
- 49:24to another doctor tomorrow. My my trusty old ENT surgeon,
- 49:28he's going to start me because yeah, the other ones are just
- 49:32going around circles. But I've had a blood test and
- 49:36all is clear and tested for pneumonia and all that kind of
- 49:39stuff. So it's either nothing or
- 49:43something way more serious, who knows, but it's bloody annoying.
- 49:47And they can't even drink alcohol because as soon as they
- 49:49drink anything like that it just irritates my throat and I start
- 49:53coughing. So yeah, well maybe that's good
- 49:56for the health. Anyway to get back to
- 49:59procedures, This is running way that we've fast our way through
- 50:02the whole map here now and it's way longer than I thought and
- 50:06I'm sure Jeremy has done it way better.
- 50:08So anyone that's listening to this would be like, why did I
- 50:11listen to those guys shit on about it?
- 50:15And I'm sorry for you. So I'll put it no, I'll put a
- 50:21time step in the episode where if the good stuff starts S2.
- 50:26So so we moved to S2. There on the map is Nate Barch 3
- 50:32is D 13 toys. So that's biblical adventures.
- 50:35Chris Gorich. Also, maybe if you want to get
- 50:39your figures signed, your two pack, we got C Jason there in #4
- 50:47and #5 there is retro rags if we move around six is Lewis Craft.
- 50:56So that's the wine toppers. OK.
- 50:59So I'd be definitely revisiting them to get a few more.
- 51:02My my wife was impressed last year.
- 51:04So if we could get an Iraqi Gore one, I think I'd be on to a
- 51:10winner there. We got the great all games.
- 51:15It still exists, it's still going.
- 51:18That's the mythic Legions tactics.
- 51:21We got simple tricks and nonsense.
- 51:22They're #8 which is the cosplayers.
- 51:26That's jibut John and Rebecca. The best John at Legions con, I
- 51:32guess, definitely the best Rebecca and the the Armory
- 51:41experiences there and the mini Glycon is all those guys and I
- 51:44won't list them, but if you're into that, the details are on
- 51:47the allegiance con website, but I think a lot of the cool
- 51:52creators from the glias scene are in there.
- 51:57So so does that get you in more excited guys?
- 52:00Oh. Yeah, yeah.
- 52:05Are you pumped? Well, pumped I am.
- 52:07I was looking forward to it anyway, but now it's that sort
- 52:10of just finished coming up to the end of the summer holidays
- 52:12here, you know, lights are pulling in a bit already.
- 52:16It's got a bit colder like it was this morning.
- 52:18So it's something to look forward to and, well, pumped for
- 52:21it. Gotcha.
- 52:24Well, how about we talk about a little new arrival that we've
- 52:32all had and we're not talking about another baby, we're
- 52:40talking about this little guy here, Mr. Skeleton, Legion
- 52:45builder too. So yeah, so got him in today,
- 52:50would you believe? As as predicted, it's sitting
- 52:54sat in Luxembourg for five days in the FedEx Office because the
- 52:59estimated delivery date was today.
- 53:01So they said screw that guy, I'm going to deliver it on the day
- 53:05and no sooner. It's probably something, you
- 53:10know, like, Oh well, if he's not in, he'll think it was in the
- 53:13other day. So we just go there.
- 53:14It's like right. Anyway, so got him.
- 53:18At least it wasn't the FAFF, or at least I'm not getting the
- 53:23FAFF like I got last year for the tactics figures.
- 53:25So I can't complain about, you know, just a couple of days.
- 53:31Yeah, I love this guy. The largest Legions figure I've
- 53:36held. The details are insane.
- 53:42It's just such a fun figure. As I said to Mal, I threw it in
- 53:45the box again and to bring downstairs and I threw my mouse
- 53:52mat on top of the box, on top of the skeleton in the box.
- 53:55It opened obviously, and bring in the box.
- 53:58I've got a couple of other figures downstairs and next
- 54:01thing I looked in the box and the skeleton is just kind of
- 54:03he's poking out the side of the like the mouse mat like this.
- 54:07And it just looked hilarious. And I was like, if I can manage,
- 54:10if the figure is like able to be posed into a funny, cool pose
- 54:15just like that. I mean, how good does that?
- 54:19I mean, what happens when you do your, you know, standing side by
- 54:23side rank and file pose on the shelf and bridge?
- 54:26That's going to be amazing. Excuse me, I've got them in a
- 54:31very Saturday Night Fever pose at the moment, fingers out and
- 54:35everything. Look at that.
- 54:38It's the whole lot. It's sort of look, look at.
- 54:41It again there. Oh my goodness.
- 54:44And yeah, like, like everybody else, Rich has put the pointy
- 54:50fingers straight on him. Oh yeah, 100%.
- 54:53Yeah, I went straight for the pointy fingers as well.
- 54:56First thing I did. That way, John, That way.
- 54:59Not the other way. Yeah.
- 55:02Am I heading in the right direction?
- 55:05Yeah. And yeah, that reminds a friend
- 55:09of mine. So he worked for some financial
- 55:11company and he did a presentation once I'm heading in
- 55:15the right direction and one of one of us managed to get a copy
- 55:19of it somehow. I think we're at the someone was
- 55:22at the event or maybe he shared with us and anytime then we just
- 55:27make memes out of it on WhatsApp with that, like anytime anyone
- 55:31mentions is that the right direction?
- 55:33We just like the presentation. So it's going to be the skelly
- 55:38now. The next time that comes up,
- 55:40just going to put a picture of the skeleton pointing.
- 55:43He is just so fun, isn't he? As I've said, and I've said
- 55:46before, I'm not the biggest skeleton guy, but this is just,
- 55:50it's the best skeleton in the line and it makes me so excited
- 55:54for what's to come in Necronominus because I think
- 55:56it's just going to get better. And you just want to do daft
- 56:02things with him, don't you? Such an expressive face
- 56:06considering, have you? Put him in cosmic yet?
- 56:09Mine's your knee. Oh my God, Rich.
- 56:12Look at him screaming. It's just like agony.
- 56:18It's the best pose you've ever done.
- 56:19I can pose. I just, you know, it takes a bit
- 56:22of space on the shelf. So I, you know, got to cram
- 56:24these things in a bit. I suppose, yeah, Yeah.
- 56:28And you're also used to customs which you don't want to be doing
- 56:31too much you. Want to pose him?
- 56:32No, exactly. Yeah.
- 56:33I'm working on messing with his hands to give him the.
- 56:36Finger so show us that now I put you bigger screen here so.
- 56:40Like as soon as I got it, I had to sort of start cutting away at
- 56:43one of the pairs of hands because the pointy, pointy hands
- 56:47weren't going to do it. But I'm sort of working on
- 56:49starting to put in. I did it for the photo that when
- 56:53I put on Facebook, but I'm working on straightening those
- 56:58fingers out to give him finger guns and he's going to go on my
- 57:01shelf given the finger guns or? It'll be the fawns.
- 57:06If you use the other hand, don't worry about the sticking out.
- 57:13That might be easier a little. A lot of personality and a bunch
- 57:19of bones. And for a Legion builder, I
- 57:23mean, very good paint jobs, very cool wash, nice kind of
- 57:28highlights, looks really good. The weapons have a kind of
- 57:32patina on it. You got a bunch of hands.
- 57:36It's just a really nice figure. Yeah.
- 57:40Yeah. I think it's going to be it's
- 57:43going to be in contention for a figure of the year in some
- 57:46places. I think definitely be be up
- 57:49there. We got four of them.
- 57:51Do we all get four? Yeah, it was I.
- 57:56Think Rich and you got I got, I got 3.
- 57:59Yeah, so I keep. Keep it tight.
- 58:01Or what? No, I'm oh.
- 58:03You were trying to keep it under the 130.
- 58:05Five to get a skull man as well to to sell basically to help pay
- 58:09for some of the order sort of things.
- 58:13What? He's like a skull man and I'm
- 58:16selling that for costs to a friend.
- 58:19Yeah, well, I'm not. Mine's an idea in a knee spin.
- 58:24He's breakdown SIM. Look at, look how excited he is.
- 58:28His hands are in the air and everything.
- 58:30He's better than that Australian break dancing lady and.
- 58:34Oh Jesus, that's not difficult, is it?
- 58:35Wow. I'm sure that's.
- 58:37For a woman. A joke of some sort.
- 58:39I'm sure she's a comedian or something like that.
- 58:42She's not apparently, but apparently she's just a bit
- 58:45deluded or she's making out now that the people that actually
- 58:49should have been there or like that were better than her
- 58:51couldn't get their passports sorted so she had to step in all
- 58:54this kind of stuff. But I think she runs the kind of
- 58:57break dancing society there or whatever.
- 59:03Is it just me or is that basically if you paint that red,
- 59:07that is pelvicus? Yeah.
- 59:10Arms and legs of sunder, just like pull on.
- 59:12Yeah, look at me. Just missing one bone.
- 59:16Did you see it at the back of the skeleton purple gang bone?
- 59:22He's got a boom boom hole. He has.
- 59:26Oh, he does. You take take his little
- 59:27tailbone off, he's got a boom, boom hole.
- 59:29OK, OK, let's let's not all do that now.
- 59:32Can't be on the podcast looking at right.
- 59:38So that's the skeleton. I think we're impressed.
- 59:41Let's just say that it's amazing.
- 59:43Absolutely. It's great.
- 59:44Yeah, if you want to full review, go and see Door Clear.
- 59:48Go and see Toy Bro. They're good at that kind of
- 59:52stuff. We're good at talking crap, and
- 59:57we're good at Do you think we're still in the summer of
- 59:59Kosmerian? Maybe.
- 1:00:03I think we're just leaving, getting towards the end of it,
- 1:00:06aren't we? Yeah, one more time then.
- 1:00:20So for once, I didn't do pictures, but the boys did.
- 1:00:26And we're going to talk a little bit about what's missing from
- 1:00:29mythics. So I have some notes.
- 1:00:31And there's definitely not an acrobatic skeleton missing from
- 1:00:36from mythics, is there? This is you're saying we made
- 1:00:40we, we got rich too. So he didn't have he's such a
- 1:00:43busy man. He, he, he, he either had time
- 1:00:45to do pictures for the episode or open his toys.
- 1:00:48So he did the pictures for the episode in service of you the
- 1:00:52listeners slash viewers and and then we said no yeah, we want to
- 1:00:57talk about skeleton richly have to open one up.
- 1:00:59So he did that just before the show.
- 1:01:02So you're literally seeing him live, discover and play and have
- 1:01:06fun. So that's the.
- 1:01:08Beautiful thing. Bad, bad breakup.
- 1:01:10Skeleton. Look outside.
- 1:01:11He's looking. He's he's just hugging himself.
- 1:01:14It's just harder. I'm telling you, these things
- 1:01:17photograph themselves like, you know, big up to all the toy
- 1:01:21photographers out there. But when the figure is that
- 1:01:23cool, I think so anyway. And what's missing missing in
- 1:01:30mythics? So I think a little combination
- 1:01:32thing here are also with what what would you what would you
- 1:01:35really Commission from third party?
- 1:01:38So do one of you want to take it away first?
- 1:01:41Seen as you're prepared, Why don't you with what you have
- 1:01:46slightly? Less than that, yeah.
- 1:01:48So in terms of what's missing from mythics, well, OK, so I've
- 1:01:53kind of done this slightly different.
- 1:01:55Mine doesn't have such an overlap.
- 1:01:56This is more what we're looking at is more what I would
- 1:01:59Commission. The things I would Commission
- 1:02:03tend to be things that are probably a little bit infringing
- 1:02:06on IPS that I'd quite like to see.
- 1:02:11And the example I've given here is the Corvus Cabal heads from
- 1:02:15Warhammer. Well, they're from their their
- 1:02:19Chaos. I forget what exactly, but
- 1:02:25they're in war cry, which is a smaller game for Warhammer, but
- 1:02:28they sort of for people listening, the Corvus cabal are
- 1:02:33the crow. You know, they obviously they're
- 1:02:36like barbarian type characters, but with like very crow imagery,
- 1:02:40hence Corvus. And they've got masks that are
- 1:02:47some of them are like giant crow skulls that cover part of their
- 1:02:52face. The one I really like is she
- 1:02:54wears a hood with this crow skull sort of mask, although the
- 1:03:01you often see it painted like the beaks metal and you can just
- 1:03:04see a jaw underneath. But there's different variations
- 1:03:07of that. And if I was going to
- 1:03:09commissions that something for that we wouldn't get from the
- 1:03:14horseman. It's probably going to be things
- 1:03:16along those lines actually. Started a custom.
- 1:03:23Started a custom that was to sort of be a bit similar to.
- 1:03:31Oh wow, that's. In that style of character and
- 1:03:33that I'm still working on, and I'm kind of pondering how to do
- 1:03:37certain bits and pieces of him. What is that shoulder army you
- 1:03:41got there or what it's? It's the.
- 1:03:43It's the cloak from the. Oh.
- 1:03:51The king Shazam. Shazam, yeah, I wanted.
- 1:03:57I can't remember what it's called though, but it's the
- 1:03:59edge. The Shazam and I cut the cut the
- 1:04:02cloak piece away just so I had the shoulder piece.
- 1:04:05Yeah, I think it's King Shazam, I think.
- 1:04:08Something like that, Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:04:09And it's from the dark metal stuff, isn't it dark?
- 1:04:12No, it's metal stuff. But yeah.
- 1:04:14So it's a work in progress. I mean, I have actually painted
- 1:04:17it, but you can't see it there, but I've given it like a
- 1:04:19shimmery paint. But I'm still working on what to
- 1:04:21do with it and how to. But so yeah, it'd be like a head
- 1:04:24to go on that. For example.
- 1:04:29In terms of what I think is missing, it's mainly for me, and
- 1:04:38this sounds mad to say because we've got a lot of different
- 1:04:41weapons and we are getting more, but there's.
- 1:04:44Perhaps. Bit of the variety in the
- 1:04:47weapons, so we've got a couple of swords, but there are other
- 1:04:52swords that I think it'd be fun. The one I think of, and again
- 1:04:55this is something I would Commission if we don't get in in
- 1:04:58mythics is a Cortana would be a really cool sword to have.
- 1:05:05And with us starting to get a bit more of Eastern theme in
- 1:05:08some of the characters, we may well see it, but it would also
- 1:05:10work really well with some of the armor we're starting to get.
- 1:05:14Well, why don't we talk a little bit about swords?
- 1:05:16Because Rich had a had a image here about swords, so maybe we
- 1:05:21can. Yeah, I, I, I have a, because I
- 1:05:24have a thing that sounds perverted, but I really like
- 1:05:28like curved blades. So rather than just, rather than
- 1:05:31just just straight blades, I want the curved sort of looks.
- 1:05:34So, so we've got, you know, like a Sabre and you know, a couple
- 1:05:38of slightly curved blades in in the line already, which are
- 1:05:40pretty good, but there's all sorts of different ones here.
- 1:05:43And if you bear with me, I don't know the names, I'm afraid to
- 1:05:45all of these. But the second from bottom on
- 1:05:48the right hand side there where the two by themselves, there's
- 1:05:53just that really heavy blade that's off slightly offset
- 1:05:56against the handle. Something like that would be
- 1:05:58awesome. The blades that go like a 45°
- 1:06:03angle, so they go along and then they go down like that's a real
- 1:06:05sort of hacking blade. Again, something like that would
- 1:06:08be would be really excellent. If you clear a forest with that.
- 1:06:13I'd quite like a more modern blade as well to be brought into
- 1:06:17cosmics. There you go getting the cosmic
- 1:06:19bit in like even even like a Bowie knife.
- 1:06:22I quite like what they've done with the sets we're getting from
- 1:06:25Legions Con with this sword slash blade they've put in
- 1:06:29there. But it'd be quite cool to see,
- 1:06:31say, a buoy, a big old Bowie knife or something like that as
- 1:06:33well in amongst all that. Yeah, I love money.
- 1:06:39Kind of blades that are curved I think, and all of these look
- 1:06:42cool in their own way. Maybe this is what the Armory
- 1:06:46could be, A selection of curved blades.
- 1:06:50Wouldn't that be nice? Yeah, I'll throw something out
- 1:06:54there. We kind of probably seen it from
- 1:06:56the customs community, but stuff for the horses to kind of carry
- 1:07:01cart along. So like carts for horses or
- 1:07:04something for them to kind of pull along would be very cool.
- 1:07:09Again, I mean, some of this stuff can be unrealistic.
- 1:07:13I don't know how, you know, there's so much other stuff.
- 1:07:16Would they ever get to carts for horses or would they leave that
- 1:07:19to, you know, the third party community?
- 1:07:22And what do you think? Would you buy carts for horses?
- 1:07:28Richer man. I would, I think I one of the
- 1:07:31things I'd love, and we've joked about it previously, is like a
- 1:07:33prison cart. So the sort of square.
- 1:07:36Yeah. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:07:39Ideally stuffed with. Birds, as we discussed.
- 1:07:41Previously ready off to a roast, but yeah, that sort of thing I'd
- 1:07:45buy in heartbeat. I think that'd be really good.
- 1:07:48Yeah, I wouldn't mind. It'd be.
- 1:07:49Space more for. Me, but I'd.
- 1:07:51Probably be tempted if they did something like that, just, you
- 1:07:54know, just one even you know, or.
- 1:07:57Yeah, yeah, I've just finished watching The Last Kingdom, so
- 1:08:01I'm all into the medieval stuff now.
- 1:08:04Back again. You could also do something.
- 1:08:08Like 1 rewatching Game of Thrones, which is why this has
- 1:08:10come into my mind. Like the carry thing they have
- 1:08:12for the Royals. So there's four guys carrying
- 1:08:15this like just one person sized little house type thing that
- 1:08:19they they carry through. Something like that would be
- 1:08:21really good actually. And again, that wouldn't take up
- 1:08:24that much space necessarily, but that could be a really cool
- 1:08:26little display piece with. Anubis with the cat on it, with
- 1:08:31the kind of that sort of thing that's already kind of in the.
- 1:08:34Ballpark. Isn't it?
- 1:08:36Yeah, I can imagine. Like noggling.
- 1:08:38Getting carried along. With one of those, it's.
- 1:08:40Like cheeky little face sticking out as it, you know, these true,
- 1:08:44you know, worn down goblins carry him around.
- 1:08:47He seems like the perfect one, doesn't he?
- 1:08:49That would want. To be like lorded over and made
- 1:08:53to feel super important and like you say, carried around and.
- 1:08:59I'll try out a few more before we get to to your kind of
- 1:09:02pictures. Rich and a rogue as a type of
- 1:09:06character. I mean with a rogue and a.
- 1:09:11Teeth, I think. If we think of the kind of
- 1:09:14classic D&D stuff when I guess a teeth, we have swig maybe, but
- 1:09:19he's a goblin as well. Kai Pasha kind.
- 1:09:24Yeah, yeah. But.
- 1:09:27You know, I'm maybe more classically human type of one as
- 1:09:31well, which kind of leads. Sorry, Rich.
- 1:09:36Yeah, I was going to say, I hate to say it, but actually a 2.0
- 1:09:39build. Would be good for a little rogue
- 1:09:41thief as well sort of thing. So Nimble can get through get
- 1:09:45through like little crevices and windows and that sort of stuff
- 1:09:47was quite patches quite like, you know, big hat.
- 1:09:53And that kind of. May be linked to that you like
- 1:09:55more specific human head scopes like OK, we have Oto Atlas,
- 1:10:02those type of guys we have in the females you have Juno, but
- 1:10:07ones not ones in helmets. I mean they're cool as well, you
- 1:10:11know, and we get a lot of them with the necronomicous waves at
- 1:10:13the Knights, but a couple more kind of main character human
- 1:10:19head scopes, like a classic Viking.
- 1:10:22Now again, watching last Kingdom shaved heads, dreads, you know,
- 1:10:26like we have broder of Bjorn girl, who's your kind of generic
- 1:10:29Viking. But like I want a Viking that
- 1:10:32looks like a Viking that's not Atlas, you know, and like you
- 1:10:40saw how popular the Attila human heads go to us for all various
- 1:10:44types of stuff. So it's just a chance to put
- 1:10:47more humans in cosmic as well. Rich so oh.
- 1:10:53Keep cosmetium human free. You're.
- 1:10:57I mean, you're not too. Excited by that, Rich, I take
- 1:10:59it? No, I think I'd work.
- 1:11:02I think definitely. Less beards is the way to go in
- 1:11:05in mythics, all human heads with the exception.
- 1:11:08I think of a teller. Yeah, pretty much all bearded
- 1:11:10sort of thing. Give us a let's get some
- 1:11:12handlebars, shadows and yeah, 5:00 shadow. 5:00 shadow, maybe.
- 1:11:17I think the Gideon. Head is going to be another
- 1:11:19popular. One once that comes out as yeah,
- 1:11:21that's another yeah, that's one of my.
- 1:11:24Yeah, looking forward to that. It's kind of tight.
- 1:11:26He's got the Tom Selleck, isn't he?
- 1:11:28Yes, Yeah, yeah, That's a good. Read and then to.
- 1:11:35To actually betray. My.
- 1:11:39Dislike of the order of ether on as a faction as a concept thing,
- 1:11:43but like give us a Bishop then or a holy man, you know, kind of
- 1:11:49give them a point to focus, you know, where you've got like a
- 1:11:51Bishop with the big hat or whatever, or, you know, a monk
- 1:11:54kind of holy man type of character.
- 1:11:57Again, maybe not the most exciting when you talk about the
- 1:12:00monk, holy man, because it could just be just a human with the
- 1:12:02kind of soft goods and maybe, you know, certain type of a head
- 1:12:08sculpt. But you know, the Bishop, you
- 1:12:11could go to town on it. Yeah, I'm.
- 1:12:13I'm genuinely surprised you've not had one of.
- 1:12:15Those already I can I can only presume they're worried about
- 1:12:17upsetting a religion that is still because whatever, don't
- 1:12:21dress like that sort of thing. But it's like it's it's a
- 1:12:24made-up world. Just yeah, with a really highly
- 1:12:28religious or that you've got to have a Bishop or a priest or
- 1:12:30yeah, we're just blaring or something like that.
- 1:12:33It's just crying. Out for that and, you know,
- 1:12:36weave in the story. That it's, you know, it's a
- 1:12:38it's, it's not referencing any type of particular religion.
- 1:12:44I mean, the Templars is kind of the thing that, you know, people
- 1:12:46will cling on to and it's where they kind of got into trouble
- 1:12:51before with the soft goods for the horse.
- 1:12:52So yeah, maybe, maybe it's best to steer clear, but I think it
- 1:12:57would be cool despite my love of the Order of Ether on.
- 1:13:03And then the last thing I have in my list there is a proper
- 1:13:07ghost. So boots a Hagner, Gary to
- 1:13:12Hagner. Yeah, you know, probably.
- 1:13:15Ghoulish looking thing. Yeah, it's like a Scooby-doo
- 1:13:18ghost John with a giant sheet. Just a sheet shape.
- 1:13:24In. Translucent plastic not so good
- 1:13:28no, but I think you know they could like I don't need to
- 1:13:31design it for them. I just need to that's all I need
- 1:13:34to say. They they're the ones that have
- 1:13:36the talent to design it, but I think that would be really cool
- 1:13:42like a proper now I. Know we're getting the.
- 1:13:46The guys from the Necronominus Wave, that kind of deluxe pack,
- 1:13:52What are they called again? The Undead Builder pack, is it?
- 1:13:57Yes, yeah, yeah. Yeah.
- 1:13:59So that's that's kind of that. Part of it covered off, but you
- 1:14:03know, real kind of ghoulish. You know, could you imagine like
- 1:14:06Ballou lit kind of like a translucent Ballou lit to it
- 1:14:10would almost be so much better, so much better than a Hagman,
- 1:14:16for example. But you know, something really
- 1:14:19designed as a as a kind of a ghoul or ghost or really freaky
- 1:14:23blue lift, but with. Ghost creatures in those cages.
- 1:14:26Yeah, translucent. Translucent.
- 1:14:29Ghost. Creatures, but they're still
- 1:14:31stuck within the bars, yeah. Oh, she's going to.
- 1:14:34Be so good with that cage and everything.
- 1:14:39Really good, right? Rich, your time to shine.
- 1:14:45So I've put them two per page here, so they must always be
- 1:14:48related to each other, but that's absolutely fine.
- 1:14:52The listeners and viewers will be amazed to hear that the first
- 1:14:55thing on my list is lizard men. We're missing lizard men from
- 1:14:59mythos, goddamnit. Sorry, can I pull you up here
- 1:15:02for a second now? So.
- 1:15:03So strobe family craft. Speaking of them being back in
- 1:15:07Allegiance Con, they had a vote on their Instagram this week and
- 1:15:11I saw and I was on the podcast Instagram account and said, OK,
- 1:15:14I'm voting for the lizard thing because, you know, I'm a friend
- 1:15:17of Rich and I think he'd be into that.
- 1:15:22So then I texted that I voted the lizard.
- 1:15:24Rich, you can vote from your Instagram.
- 1:15:25Going to go. Oh, yeah, I voted for the was it
- 1:15:27the Cthulhu? Yeah.
- 1:15:31That one just sounded cool. Thanks for nothing John.
- 1:15:37And after me, I spent 80 episodes ask.
- 1:15:40Listen to you talk. About lizards.
- 1:15:43And then you betray me. I can you apologize.
- 1:15:47I feel, yes, I feel like I let myself down with that one.
- 1:15:49OK, You could have at least lied to me and go, yeah.
- 1:15:52Great, great, you know. Might have seen you vote for
- 1:15:55thanks mate. No, no, no.
- 1:15:58I voted for a different one. No Milac.
- 1:16:00And I said yeah, yeah, thanks, John.
- 1:16:02I voted for that as well. And then they'd have announced
- 1:16:04and said, yeah, thanks to Richard Jones with the final
- 1:16:06vote, it's pushed the foodie one over.
- 1:16:08And I'd be like, oh crap, OK, what one in the end are a bloody
- 1:16:13stag. Which is cool, don't get me
- 1:16:15wrong. It is a cool one, but it's it's
- 1:16:17like we've got stuff like that though, doesn't it?
- 1:16:20I don't blame stroke look crafts, I blame the people who
- 1:16:23voted you all like stroke is is only.
- 1:16:28Trying to make the stuff that people want to buy you know, so
- 1:16:33certainly wouldn't blame them at all I can cool.
- 1:16:35They had got a great response, so great for them.
- 1:16:38Anyway, I derailed your lizard talk.
- 1:16:40So yes, so they. Probably wouldn't go down this
- 1:16:45route necessarily because it's a little bit of IP issue with the
- 1:16:48Warhammer stuff. But sort of, you know, the in my
- 1:16:52head, this is quintessential. Is it men?
- 1:16:54So it's it's the blue ones with the gold armor or the bone armor
- 1:16:58and the sort of Mayan that's tech that sort of feel to it all
- 1:17:02sort of thing. So something like this I'd be
- 1:17:05ecstatic about. Look at the weapon.
- 1:17:06I mean the web, the sword type thing that the guy's holding
- 1:17:09there. I mean, that's just brutal.
- 1:17:12And the shield's got that sort of almost like a dragon wing
- 1:17:15sort of look to it. So I think something like this
- 1:17:18would be absolutely amazing. I'm greedy though, so I'd want
- 1:17:22different. Oh, sorry, man, you go.
- 1:17:23No, no, I was going to say I must admit the thing I would.
- 1:17:27Do, but I knew to be fair, you were going to bring it up, so I
- 1:17:30didn't leave it. But I think the yeah, lizard men
- 1:17:33is the thing. We're getting so, so close.
- 1:17:35And OK, we've got a couple of lizard men, but it is the
- 1:17:38faction that would, it would look such, so cool on the shelf
- 1:17:42and feels like it's the next faction with what we've got or
- 1:17:47one of the next factions. I-100.
- 1:17:50Percent agree with that, Mal. I know I have as I.
- 1:17:54Said I will be stropping. On the floor in the middle of
- 1:17:55econ if there isn't at least one lizard man in the wave.
- 1:18:01But. I'd like to see.
- 1:18:03Different scales as well. So, you know, you could have
- 1:18:06like a brute. I don't necessarily.
- 1:18:08Oh, you could have a brute scale.
- 1:18:10You know, like the one on there, the left doesn't look into the
- 1:18:13screen here. That's a big fella.
- 1:18:14That could be brute scale and then you can have smaller ones,
- 1:18:18so like a Geppco style lizard or skin cosmic like that, more sort
- 1:18:22of goblin size or even a bit smaller again with different
- 1:18:25colours and that sort of thing for me looking at this.
- 1:18:30You're a head sculpt away with the Rakagor and maybe a bit of
- 1:18:33armor, yes. Yeah.
- 1:18:35I just don't really want. Ogre scale.
- 1:18:39I'm so fussy. I want a lizard man but not an
- 1:18:41ogre scale. OK I see.
- 1:18:44I think an OGA scale in there as.
- 1:18:46Well, so you get all the sizes of these lizards would be really
- 1:18:49cool. I mean, again, we've got.
- 1:18:52Oga scale lizard men, I suppose. Really.
- 1:18:54Haven't we? But yeah, so that's another
- 1:18:57lizard guy, and that's another. Lizard man again, looking at the
- 1:18:59type of armour, sort of. Things that, you know, would you
- 1:19:01call it Mesoamerica? I mean, it'll pull me up on me
- 1:19:04getting this wrong, but that sort of thing.
- 1:19:08So lizard, definitely lots of bright colours.
- 1:19:10We've got cool weapons, that sort of stuff, and then
- 1:19:14surprisingly, we have sharks. Next, and we did well, twist.
- 1:19:18Yeah, well, yes. Another who de guest that I
- 1:19:21wanted a sea creature sets of stuff.
- 1:19:25So I think I'd love like a whole.
- 1:19:28You could have like 50 factions of sea creatures.
- 1:19:30I'd be I'd buy every single one of them behind an eyelid.
- 1:19:33But shark folk would be my number one once and we've had a
- 1:19:35few printed pieces now, so a few people have done variations of
- 1:19:39that. But at the end of the day, no
- 1:19:40matter how good the printed things are, you can't beat of
- 1:19:42all horsemen 1. So you can have like a great
- 1:19:45white shark, you can have a hammerhead shark when you could
- 1:19:49change the colors up, you could use, you know, without being too
- 1:19:52anatomically correct. You know, you can have the great
- 1:19:55white sculpt painted up like a tiger shark, that sort of stuff.
- 1:20:00So you've got lots of options there.
- 1:20:03Again, that gives you the sort of bare torso maybe look as well
- 1:20:06for a shark. So you've got that sort of a
- 1:20:08smoothish torso and I don't want to fin on the back too.
- 1:20:12Which doesn't really make much sense as they come out of the
- 1:20:14water, but a fin on the back for me would be an important part of
- 1:20:17having a shark worry. Yeah, but then they start with a
- 1:20:21plug, couldn't they? They could, absolutely, yes, but
- 1:20:24that, yeah, the main. The main rectangular hole, it's
- 1:20:28not that big, but the rectangular hole, yeah, in the
- 1:20:31back, yeah. You could easily put a plug in
- 1:20:32there, couldn't you? Stay on the sharks for a second,
- 1:20:35John, Go back to that. OK, Sorry, sorry.
- 1:20:37And then you could go. Well, that's how.
- 1:20:39Much, I know, but yeah, then you could go absolutely crazy.
- 1:20:43Are you able to zoom in? On the picture, John, or is that
- 1:20:44as big as it gets? Yeah, that's as big as it gets.
- 1:20:47OK. Second, from the left I should
- 1:20:49be able. To zoom in on the video, I
- 1:20:51suppose second from the. Left on the top, there's a
- 1:20:53basking shark. So if you're really going that
- 1:20:56crazy with the giant mouth, that because they're filter feeds, so
- 1:21:00you could, you could have that. So, so you know, the mouth would
- 1:21:02be down covering part of the torso.
- 1:21:04Looks like a kind of cone shape, doesn't he?
- 1:21:06Yeah. That would be awesome, the one
- 1:21:08underneath him. Is yes is a megamouth shark,
- 1:21:13which is just a weird, weird looking shark.
- 1:21:16They live like so far down like on the bottom of the ocean
- 1:21:19pretty much and it's got these massive heads and giant mouths
- 1:21:22and it's the megamouth name. Did did you see that?
- 1:21:26Brian C. Showed off his gobbling shark
- 1:21:29sculpt earlier today. I did that, looks super cool.
- 1:21:33Yeah, that's another one for the left, sang the by so many shark
- 1:21:36pieces that lead and John's painting a hand up to me, which
- 1:21:41is great. What sickens me is that Brian
- 1:21:43was sitting down with his. Kids watching a show about
- 1:21:45sharks and because I'm just going to sculpt a few sharks,
- 1:21:47you know, and it looks like. Come on, dude, stop it.
- 1:21:51Yeah, so. Talented, yeah.
- 1:21:55With the shark people too, I'd also.
- 1:21:57Want like adapted fins for hands and feet so it could even just
- 1:22:02be webbed. OK, you'd have almost like.
- 1:22:05There's a lot. Of tooling here, Well, yes, but
- 1:22:09you know, once you've done it once.
- 1:22:10All aquatic peoples could have the Yeah, maybe that's an idea
- 1:22:13for an episode. You come.
- 1:22:14With all your ideas and we can do like a mock meeting at the at
- 1:22:19the toy company where I'm the kind of stray, you know, numbers
- 1:22:23guy, you know, and Mal can be, you know, the painter or
- 1:22:28something and you're the guy with all the ideas and I can't
- 1:22:32paint that. And I'm like, yeah, the factory
- 1:22:35that's going to be 5 million. We could do it.
- 1:22:39Dragon's. Name style, I can go and pitch
- 1:22:41it how much I'm going to I'm going to scale and you're like,
- 1:22:45no, that's ridiculous. Don't talk nonsense, yeah, or
- 1:22:48you just walk in, you know, Dragon's Den.
- 1:22:51Style. And I'm going to be like, oh,
- 1:22:52it's that lizard guy again. That was a good bit of comedy
- 1:23:03time in there, John. Hello.
- 1:23:09Right. Can we move off sharks now?
- 1:23:10Come on, we don't all night. We're on to more sea creatures,
- 1:23:13though. So the two on the left of the
- 1:23:16screen more ails again, that's sort of Serpentine and we cannot
- 1:23:21snakes in a little bit, but Serpentine a lot of look to it,
- 1:23:24huge set of teeth. I'm sure that'd be incredibly
- 1:23:26difficult. Seems to look like cosmic going
- 1:23:28for everything. They could be cosmic.
- 1:23:30Yes, you could use them in COSMIC.
- 1:23:31As well just as easily the top right there you have a flower
- 1:23:37horn cichlid. He looks like he's had a Hubba
- 1:23:40Bubba chewing gum and he's. Blown out through his forehead.
- 1:23:43They're incredibly expensive and incredibly cold with these.
- 1:23:45Fish. Can you get them for your tank?
- 1:23:49It's as. Big as my tank, so no.
- 1:23:51Oh. OK, So what?
- 1:23:53Yeah, they've been. Bred for the you'd.
- 1:23:55Have things to get bigger and bigger.
- 1:23:57So what would people Would they? Have them in massive tanks.
- 1:24:00Then in their house or would they?
- 1:24:02Yeah. So I mean, they're very.
- 1:24:04Feisty so they send people tend to have just the one fish in
- 1:24:06their tanks. You'd be looking at like a OK or
- 1:24:09five foot tank. Can imagine just massive mansion
- 1:24:12of this rich. Person and there's just this
- 1:24:14angry bubble head face running round it would run would run for
- 1:24:19cover yeah some people will split a tank in two and have.
- 1:24:23With like egg crate or something and have one each side so they
- 1:24:26just get angry with each other all the time and improves their
- 1:24:28colours and that but for me, you know, but Can you imagine that
- 1:24:31on a myth allegiance figure? How good would that face be?
- 1:24:34It would be the giant bubble foam head because yeah.
- 1:24:38Oh yeah, cosmic though you. Know oh maybe cosmic this is
- 1:24:42true. These could these could easily
- 1:24:43go cosmic. As well, I'll I'll I can't see
- 1:24:45how the the. Bobblehead fish would fit into
- 1:24:48mythic. Well, maybe poxes or something
- 1:24:51like that. Yeah, maybe poxes as disease.
- 1:24:55Like this looks like a disease, you know?
- 1:24:58And is that a Pike in the bottom Right.
- 1:24:59Then it's a wolf fish. So it's an Amazon, OK.
- 1:25:02But a similar sort of thing to a Pike.
- 1:25:04Yeah, you look at the the lower teeth.
- 1:25:06I mean, that would be a really good sculpt with these two.
- 1:25:08Just lower spike teeth. So that's a lot would work
- 1:25:13really well. Gotcha.
- 1:25:18OK, just keep us. Moving on to the fish, then
- 1:25:20John. Yeah, more fish and so.
- 1:25:23Travis Bowles holding a giant crab.
- 1:25:25Yeah. So top left is a clown
- 1:25:30triggerfish and it could be any triggerfish are quite cool
- 1:25:32because they've got quite thin faces but very, very pronounced
- 1:25:36lips and sort of not teeth but beaks almost sort of thing for
- 1:25:40eating. So I think that would be a good
- 1:25:41look and I picked that particular one because the
- 1:25:43colours are amazing on it. So for a colour scheme that
- 1:25:46would look weird but great and again, probably more cosmic the
- 1:25:50more I think about it now, basically a bit load of cosmics
- 1:25:51that family, but there we go. I think this the seahorse would
- 1:25:56be awesome. Yeah.
- 1:25:58So it's sorry to correct your mouth.
- 1:26:00I don't be. That sort of pedant, but it's
- 1:26:01it's a sea dragon, right, sorry. So the sea dragon, it's a.
- 1:26:05Relation to a seahorse, but it's a sea dragon.
- 1:26:08This is, this is a weedy sea dragon, which is a terrible
- 1:26:11name. Poor fish.
- 1:26:12It's like, you know, bullied, weedy.
- 1:26:14It's weedy, but again, you've got the long nose, the really
- 1:26:18cool sort of, they're not ears, but that sort of look to it
- 1:26:21coming off the top, brilliant bright colours.
- 1:26:24That would be awesome. They're sort of the real steam
- 1:26:28making if they didn't make it. I was going to say seahorses and
- 1:26:31sea Dragons are the. Real Steve of the Ocean.
- 1:26:33Aren't they kind of dominated by their female partners because
- 1:26:38they carry the the babies and give birth?
- 1:26:44Yeah, they do. They think they're the alphas,
- 1:26:46but they're really not. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:26:51And then crustaceans I'd. Absolutely want crustaceans in
- 1:26:54this. The picture on the right hand
- 1:26:56side is the Japanese spider crab, the biggest crab in the
- 1:26:59world. And look at the size of that bad
- 1:27:03boy. I'd I'd want those long pincers
- 1:27:06coming out from the back. So again, a plug in sort of port
- 1:27:09or something like that. So you could have the crab head
- 1:27:12as the main head and then these like long weird again.
- 1:27:17Sci-fi almost looking legs. Coming out of the back as extra
- 1:27:21appendages. Yeah, that'd be really cool.
- 1:27:25OK, John, if you want to move us on, All right.
- 1:27:26Yeah, I'm moving on. Some more crabs.
- 1:27:28So on the right hand side we have.
- 1:27:31I'm the name of the crab, but the top right is the largest
- 1:27:33land crab in the world, Penis crab.
- 1:27:38Isn't it? Like a palm crab or.
- 1:27:40Something like that. It could well be something like
- 1:27:42that, yeah, but they're huge. I.
- 1:27:43Mean you can't really see it that well here, but the pincers
- 1:27:45are enormous. I mean, they're like that sort
- 1:27:48of size sort of thing. So, you know, if you want,
- 1:27:52obviously a crustacean creature would have to have pincers for
- 1:27:55hands. That goes without saying.
- 1:27:58It's coconut crab. Coconut crab.
- 1:28:00Thank you. Mel.
- 1:28:03So that would be really cool. And then underneath it is an
- 1:28:05emerald crab, but it could be any crab, that generic crab look
- 1:28:07with the pincers and that sort of stuff.
- 1:28:09So again, you'd want the pincers and that crabby face with a
- 1:28:12little little eyes sticking up on on storks.
- 1:28:15Even that put it great with scrub crab.
- 1:28:19There's little eyes on storks. There we go.
- 1:28:24If we're getting really weird on the.
- 1:28:25Left hand side we have two members of the puffer fish
- 1:28:27family, so the top left here we have a porcupine puffer fish.
- 1:28:33I've no idea how you'd sculpt that.
- 1:28:35And and spike or tribute. There's so many spikes.
- 1:28:39But yes, you could use it for a spike.
- 1:28:41Or tribute, I mean. How cool would that head look on
- 1:28:43a figure? You've got this knight, and
- 1:28:46you've just got a massive puffer fish head.
- 1:28:50No, just me. OK, it would be fun.
- 1:28:54And then underneath you got a cowfish.
- 1:28:56These are really cool guys as well.
- 1:28:58And again, you know how? Again, how good would that head?
- 1:29:01Look on a a normal. Figure that that would.
- 1:29:05Actually be quite fun. No, that would be a fun.
- 1:29:07One, his little mouth looks like he's going moo.
- 1:29:12That's why it's called the catfish.
- 1:29:13Why isn't he black and. White though, come on.
- 1:29:15Good point. This is true.
- 1:29:17He's not a Friesian. Cowfish is he?
- 1:29:18So that's the problem. So before you go on to the so
- 1:29:26one of the crab thing, which I forgot to mention and I didn't
- 1:29:29see any pictures, hermit crabs, so hear me out here.
- 1:29:33So you could have hermit crabs and you could have a variety of
- 1:29:35shell backpacks. So obviously they have all
- 1:29:38where. They all pick.
- 1:29:39Different shells, so you could have like like an armour piece
- 1:29:42as a shell backpack and they could do like a pack of them.
- 1:29:45So different shapes, different colours, that sort of thing you
- 1:29:48could use. This is the new toy line you're
- 1:29:50talking about here. This isn't.
- 1:29:54What's missing from regions this is.
- 1:29:56What new toy line would I like to do?
- 1:30:00These would all. Fit in with my fix.
- 1:30:01Just expand your horizons, John. Right now we can move on, so
- 1:30:09snake man to get. Obviously, Eric Treadway to
- 1:30:12watch this episode and then just send me a like a polite e-mail
- 1:30:17and just what does Jeremy say? Send them some money and say
- 1:30:21yeah. Please just watch this and bear
- 1:30:23with it. Especially the rubbish through
- 1:30:24the allegiance can map bullshit and get what is stuff.
- 1:30:30What did Jeremy say when Eric said he doesn't say no, he says
- 1:30:33where? Did you get to that decision?
- 1:30:34How did you come to that conclusion?
- 1:30:36So I'd imagine I'd get response going.
- 1:30:38How do you come to every one of these conclusions?
- 1:30:45So snake men again. I thought about these.
- 1:30:47At length I'd want a snake lower body, but then an
- 1:30:51anthropomorphic torso. So you've got like human torso
- 1:30:55arms, but then a long curly snake.
- 1:30:58I'm having to lean back from the screen here for this.
- 1:31:01Blue guy, He's he's, he's looking at me, you know?
- 1:31:07Yeah, if you don't. Like snakes, he's a, but I've
- 1:31:09used 2 examples of sorts of you could do so you've got a cobra
- 1:31:11head and I know third parties have done some of this stuff,
- 1:31:13but again, you know, you can't beat it in terms of the factory
- 1:31:16stuff. So you've got a cobra head at
- 1:31:18the bottom and you've got a Viper head.
- 1:31:20I typed in pit Viper. I don't know if that's a pit
- 1:31:22Viper or not, but it's got that sort of slightly pointed bit to
- 1:31:26the top of the head. And, and again, look at the
- 1:31:28colours you could do with these things.
- 1:31:31You've got to admit, Snake. That character you're not a.
- 1:31:34Painter, though you don't know how.
- 1:31:35Much of A painting does. Oh, no, no painting.
- 1:31:38I'm just. I'm sort of demanding the
- 1:31:40customer. Yeah.
- 1:31:40I. Don't know that you say that,
- 1:31:42but that that. Snake at the top.
- 1:31:44It's not dissimilar to the no like snake at the top.
- 1:31:48Looks easier than the it's. A Lines and stripes, while they
- 1:31:53often don't look that difficult, can be a bigger pain.
- 1:31:55Yeah, that's a good point actually.
- 1:31:57Like that, people look impressed.
- 1:31:59By the Olick. Thing Mal John's actually
- 1:32:02painted head that's. Similar to that colour form.
- 1:32:04There you go. I'd want to bend detail so that.
- 1:32:09In my head you can wrap it round a figure that you've got, like
- 1:32:13an ogre or a brute. Scale figure and it's got.
- 1:32:15This snake man wrapped around him and the snake man's like
- 1:32:17stabbing him or something like that or biting him or whatever
- 1:32:20you'd, you know, the snake man to be doing.
- 1:32:24And then different scales. As well.
- 1:32:25So I'm. Thinking if you had like an ogre
- 1:32:27sized snake, you'd go for one of the the sort of constrictors.
- 1:32:30So like an Anaconda or something like that really big snake wrap
- 1:32:35you up solely whole can even have movable jaw if you wanted
- 1:32:39to. And then you can go 1.0 or 2.0
- 1:32:41for the smaller sort of snake species as well.
- 1:32:46And then the cute dogs. Please, please bring us yes.
- 1:32:49And we're now using. They're on the same.
- 1:32:52The reason? They're on the same screen.
- 1:32:54Is I did these two per page because Rich sent them just
- 1:32:59before the episode so I didn't get to check really how they
- 1:33:03lined up. Yeah, no, this is 100% my fault.
- 1:33:05I just pinged them through about.
- 1:33:06What I mean, it's what we started.
- 1:33:08So I mean it kind of works, but if I could just.
- 1:33:11Get those snakes a good contrast.
- 1:33:12I'm just going to hold my hand up to the.
- 1:33:17Yeah. So I would I think dogs, to be
- 1:33:20fair, probably are easier. Than everything else you've said
- 1:33:23so far. Because it's mostly head
- 1:33:25sculpts, isn't it? It is head sculpts and a couple
- 1:33:29of. Tails or you know, like blue lit
- 1:33:31has the kind of. Little was it what's like a
- 1:33:35thing called again? It's a skeleton.
- 1:33:38Oh, the chimera. Chimera.
- 1:33:40So, you know, something like that.
- 1:33:42But actually the dog little size, you could hear.
- 1:33:45I was thinking of these as actual characters, but yes, you
- 1:33:47could have, yeah. Yeah, no, you could do, you
- 1:33:49could do the dog head sculpts. Like, you know, people have
- 1:33:52done. Yeah.
- 1:33:53So I just picked some cool looking dogs.
- 1:33:55That I like so top left we have a Newfoundland who doesn't live
- 1:33:59that big Fluffy, you know, yeah, give me a cuddle.
- 1:34:02Sort of, you know, he could be the the cuddly member of the
- 1:34:04think of little John saying dog for I look at all these
- 1:34:07beautiful dogs and it makes me forget.
- 1:34:09About all my neighbors barking dogs.
- 1:34:12Like there's four or five houses.
- 1:34:15Around in a circle and they all. Have yappy barking dogs and new
- 1:34:19people moved in down the road because the others moved out and
- 1:34:22the new people brought two big massive dogs that bark every
- 1:34:25time I go and feed the neighbors hens.
- 1:34:28So I normally the neighbor is the brother-in-law and I
- 1:34:31normally go down and feed the hens.
- 1:34:33Put all our waste food over the fence to the hens and I get now
- 1:34:37assaulted by two big massive looking yolks barking like very.
- 1:34:44Aggressively at the. Fence.
- 1:34:46Because yeah, the first thing the guy did day one when he
- 1:34:48moved in was build this fence. And I was like OK what's he
- 1:34:51doing that for now I know. Anyway, rant over.
- 1:34:56Beautiful dogs. Top writer Corgi.
- 1:35:00Welsh name, dog breed, so that's got.
- 1:35:04To got to. Be in there.
- 1:35:05I think Guillaume posted something about the Corgi.
- 1:35:07It's it means dwarf dog, so key in Welsh's dog.
- 1:35:11But you know, everyone in the world just thinks it's the
- 1:35:13Queen's dog. Yeah, basically.
- 1:35:14And the core, whatever, whatever is warmer, Queen.
- 1:35:18Bottom left is a is a schnauzer. This particular one's a
- 1:35:20miniature schnauzer. We could be again.
- 1:35:23Gorgeous dogs. Gorgeous dogs.
- 1:35:24Can you imagine that head sculpt on a night?
- 1:35:26Yeah. How good would that look?
- 1:35:29Yeah. Schnauzer.
- 1:35:30Good. And then a boxer again.
- 1:35:32Another quite unique head. Sculpt and a boxer with a jab. 1
- 1:35:35by 1 as a kid, so no thank you. And then we have.
- 1:35:41Bull terrier top left. I love these guys got such
- 1:35:44unusual faces. I mean you don't get bitten by
- 1:35:47one, they don't go when they bite.
- 1:35:49The jaws are designed so they don't let go.
- 1:35:51They kind of look half albino with the the way that.
- 1:35:54I think it's the way the eye is, along with the white fur.
- 1:35:58Yeah. And then top right, you've got a
- 1:36:00Husky. Again, key.
- 1:36:02Imagine a hot ski warrior. How could?
- 1:36:04I mean, I'd have an entire platoon of them.
- 1:36:07That'd be awesome. Yeah.
- 1:36:09Bottom right is a rock Violet. I grew up with rock violets.
- 1:36:11My parents always had rock violets when I was a kid.
- 1:36:15Gorgeous dogs. Again, if they made a Rottweiler
- 1:36:19figure I would buy it in a hobby and buy lots of them.
- 1:36:22And then a Doberman bottom left again, really cool help.
- 1:36:25Head sculpt. John, you painted a couple of
- 1:36:27Dobermans for me because I know it's 3D makers that have done
- 1:36:30these. But again, have you opened them
- 1:36:32yet? I haven't, no.
- 1:36:34I'm working my way through the. For listeners, John sent me a
- 1:36:38box of wonders. I think is the the correct
- 1:36:40terminology, but there's a lot. It's a big box of wonders, so
- 1:36:45I'm working the way through it. Four or five months worth of
- 1:36:48painting, yeah. I will be displaying as many of
- 1:36:51those of them as I. Can on figures in the near
- 1:36:53future, John, so that you don't feel that that's in waste.
- 1:36:55No, no, look, it's done. It's done.
- 1:36:58Cold, cold hard businessman here.
- 1:37:00You know it's done. Don't care about them anymore.
- 1:37:04Well, in that case I'll be. Breaking in with a hammer live
- 1:37:06on the next episode. I am.
- 1:37:08I am now monitoring your eBay. You know, every day you'd have
- 1:37:14to open the Jones 1/2. 3456, yeah.
- 1:37:19And then? Next up, and this is a race I'd
- 1:37:21love. To have a mythos is sort of
- 1:37:23rock. This, this probably, yeah.
- 1:37:24Yeah. There's probably terminology for
- 1:37:26it as well. Yeah.
- 1:37:28I would love to see. And you've got the.
- 1:37:29This is this would be what I'd regard as a generic Rockman type
- 1:37:34look, you know, with the different bold sizes and that
- 1:37:38all going together as part of the limbs.
- 1:37:41I think this would be a great setup for the horsemen and
- 1:37:45again, just cool parts. So I would absolutely want that.
- 1:37:48And then if you go onto the next page, John, Yep, there.
- 1:37:54This is where it gets slightly more crazy in that we have an
- 1:37:56Egyptian. Pharaoh Rockman on the left hand
- 1:37:58side why not that a company made but again I'd.
- 1:38:01I'd quite like. The sort of bits with bits of
- 1:38:03the pyramid? Yes, yours.
- 1:38:09I'd like a like an ogre scale one in to the one on the right
- 1:38:12and the previous one, the sort of generic Rockman look.
- 1:38:15But then I'd actually quite like some 1.0 sized ones as well with
- 1:38:18it doesn't have to be Egyptian. I just pick Egyptian because I
- 1:38:21love Egyptian stuff. But that sort of looked at them
- 1:38:24as well sort of thing. You know, they're really square
- 1:38:26chins and that sort of stuff. It's I would love Eraser
- 1:38:30Rockman. I've got three or four that I'm
- 1:38:32working on as customs. John, you painted a couple of
- 1:38:34pieces again for me for those. Yeah.
- 1:38:39So again, rock men would be awesome.
- 1:38:41And then you could have weapons like tree stumps and that sort
- 1:38:43of stuff because they're big, strong guys.
- 1:38:45They just pick stuff up and whack people with those.
- 1:38:50You could even do it. And this is.
- 1:38:51Again, completely crazy now. With multiple arms too, so I was
- 1:38:55going to have one. One thing that's missing in
- 1:38:57mythics is creatures with more than two arms.
- 1:39:00And I know we've got this Batar coming who's got more, but
- 1:39:04generally there aren't many of those.
- 1:39:06So a rockman with like 4 arms, you know, So good.
- 1:39:14Right. And next we have.
- 1:39:17I think we've got more Rockman to keep going, yeah.
- 1:39:19So look at that. Look at the guy on the left
- 1:39:21there. Look at that jaw that's like,
- 1:39:24that's like a gladiator one. And you know, just the solid
- 1:39:26jaw. It's like, yeah, I'm going to
- 1:39:28beat everyone down. Here we go.
- 1:39:32Then we have steeds. So again, I just need some more.
- 1:39:37So this is. Yeah.
- 1:39:38So these are lizard steeds, basically.
- 1:39:41They're called cold ones, but I could be wrong about that
- 1:39:45because the dark elves ride lizards as well sort of thing.
- 1:39:47But again, these are the sort of more loss of Raptors, but that
- 1:39:51sort of. Scale thing.
- 1:39:53With a, you know, the claws and the bipedal and you know, the
- 1:39:56run you down and this sort of thing.
- 1:39:57So there's the cavalry thing. I think that would be awesome.
- 1:40:01You go on to the next one, John. Yeah.
- 1:40:05Then the one on the left here is more of AI think these might be
- 1:40:09cold ones. Actually the it's more of a like
- 1:40:11a again a ferocious elite. You as soon as look at you
- 1:40:14dinosaur, but with the four limbs on the floor sort of
- 1:40:17thing. And again you get off like an
- 1:40:19arm at knight or something sat on the top of that.
- 1:40:22So I think that would be glorious.
- 1:40:25In terms of steeds too. I want to go weird with steeds.
- 1:40:28Hence we have two rhinoceros on the right hand side of the
- 1:40:31picture here top right we've got the Indian one horned rhino and
- 1:40:36the bottom right we have the white rhino.
- 1:40:38Either one of these would be great.
- 1:40:41The Indian one horn is particular favorite of mine.
- 1:40:44I once petted one in a zoo I shouldn't have done.
- 1:40:47They're big signs, you know, everyone saying don't do that,
- 1:40:49but I went over and didn't get impaled so that was good.
- 1:40:53But yeah, a favorite of mine and.
- 1:40:55Again, you could have you know you've got.
- 1:40:56The sort of armor plated skin look it's big and it's bulky.
- 1:41:01So you can you know, you could put whatever you wanted on on
- 1:41:03basically one of those and then they got big old horns, some of
- 1:41:06them that can do some real damage if you know you can even
- 1:41:09armor them if you wanted to as well.
- 1:41:12So I would love to see a rhino steed in terms of other.
- 1:41:18Steeds that the pictures. Aren't there?
- 1:41:20But there's been a lot of talk about goats for dwarfs, I think,
- 1:41:24you know, some sort of goat like mounting goat or something for a
- 1:41:27dwarf to ride on. Is we really need something like
- 1:41:30that in mythics. Or a boar, again, a boar for a
- 1:41:33dwarf to ride on, Something like that.
- 1:41:36Yep. I'd love to see mammoths.
- 1:41:38Can you imagine like a frost ogor or 1/2?
- 1:41:40Riding in. Again, I'm just watching Game of
- 1:41:42Thrones where I drive, but that would be awesome sort of thing.
- 1:41:47It would cost a bloody fortune, something that big, but it would
- 1:41:50be great. So yeah, I'd absolutely.
- 1:41:54Love that. Some pictures I didn't send.
- 1:41:57John's got these. Hurry up, rich face.
- 1:41:59So I won't go too long in there, have I?
- 1:42:04You have, Yeah. But I'd.
- 1:42:08Love the horsemen to do fungi folk as I oh mushroom men again.
- 1:42:12There were a few third party. Designs I commissioned.
- 1:42:14One myself from Prop Masters who did a brilliant 1, Anthony, he's
- 1:42:18done three I think now. Different ones.
- 1:42:21I've got fungi folk in my disport that will do when I get
- 1:42:23put them all together in my display, you know.
- 1:42:25But I love the idea of, you know, it's a it's a toadstool.
- 1:42:29Oh no, it's armed on a minute. That kind of stuff.
- 1:42:32While awesome, I think. It's so niche that fear is
- 1:42:36there'll be like 100. People.
- 1:42:38Think it's the best thing we've ever seen in the world.
- 1:42:41But 1000 people that'll say I'm not buying that.
- 1:42:45Yeah, no, I get that. That's the problem.
- 1:42:47That's the problem. Yeah, which is why it's great
- 1:42:49for the custom. Side of it, you know, but you
- 1:42:55know. I like the.
- 1:42:56Idea of. Of having the mushrooms then you
- 1:42:59can have a little little funky spores almost sticking out with
- 1:43:02them A blowpipe would be a great weapon for this because they you
- 1:43:05know they're really spores fire a blowpipe spore or somebody
- 1:43:09that would be good but Speaking of forest stuff I.
- 1:43:12Think more tree men. To go with faunas, yes.
- 1:43:15I didn't mention treatment because we've got fallers.
- 1:43:17Already sort of thing I would be all on board more.
- 1:43:20You could always say more, you know, and.
- 1:43:23Again, you could go bigger with the treatment too, so you could
- 1:43:25have an ogre. Scale that would fit, but that's
- 1:43:27OK. You don't mind over scaling
- 1:43:28that, no? No, no, I'm very particular
- 1:43:31it's. Like, you know, certain things
- 1:43:33have certain places. It's like my wife laughs at me
- 1:43:36because my condiment selection, ketchup, whatever sort of thing
- 1:43:40is very dependent on what the meal is, and she's just like,
- 1:43:44what the hell? Are you doing?
- 1:43:45I was like, well, you know. Chips.
- 1:43:47Salmon. No, she's like, what is wrong
- 1:43:49with you? It's.
- 1:43:49Ketchup. And I was like, yeah, salad
- 1:43:50cream. Goes amazingly with you
- 1:43:51mayonnaise. Mayonnaise is OK.
- 1:43:55Salad cream. Glorious, I think.
- 1:43:58Anyway, I digress. I don't know if you have salad
- 1:44:04cream. In America.
- 1:44:04But they might not actually don't bother.
- 1:44:07Just don't bother. It's awful.
- 1:44:10You know nothing, Jon Snow. Anthropomorphic characters I
- 1:44:17won't go. Into too much detail on this,
- 1:44:18because I've talked about it a lot, I'm sure in other episodes.
- 1:44:20Yeah, I commissioned the tape in myself, Wolfgang.
- 1:44:23We need to keep it under two hours so I can get rid of that.
- 1:44:26Durable. Yeah, that's fine.
- 1:44:28Don't worry. Again, it sounds like you're
- 1:44:30going to murder him. Leave Waffles alone dude, he's
- 1:44:33fine. You might hear it, listener.
- 1:44:39You might. Hear it, listener.
- 1:44:40In the post and that would be well done to me, but I mean,
- 1:44:43he's he's supposed to be drinking.
- 1:44:45He must be bloody drowning at this stage.
- 1:44:48He was also nibbling on a couple of.
- 1:44:50Things as well. So he's yeah, OK, generally
- 1:44:53annoying. Sounds like the whole way
- 1:44:56through. Yeah, that would be him.
- 1:44:58That would. Be in tune on stuff.
- 1:44:59Wow, this prick amazing. Anthropomorphic.
- 1:45:11Figures. You could give me any
- 1:45:12anthropomorphic figure. I'd ride on gerbil and with a.
- 1:45:17War gerbil. That would be awesome.
- 1:45:19Been been ridden by a little, I don't know, some sort of tiny
- 1:45:22little creature as long as the rider.
- 1:45:23Has a whip that they can beat the gerbil with.
- 1:45:28Sorry. You can report me to Peter.
- 1:45:31Or whatever those RSPCA. I would love a giraffe though.
- 1:45:35I think a giraffe. Neck and head, I think it'd be
- 1:45:38great and I think somebody has done one.
- 1:45:39I think there's a third party thing, but again, you know, more
- 1:45:42more of a bendable neck. That sort of stuff for the
- 1:45:44horsemen would be awesome. Gnomes.
- 1:45:49We are missing gnomes. We desperately.
- 1:45:50Need gnomes. We need little people.
- 1:45:52I keep banging on about this for cosmics, but we need little
- 1:45:55people. Yeah, we need little people for
- 1:45:57mythics too. And it can be gnomes.
- 1:45:59It could be like little evil Pixie type things or you know,
- 1:46:03small. I was I was looking at the
- 1:46:06rattling snipers from. Warhammer 40K is when we were
- 1:46:10thinking about what what characters we'd kind of like or
- 1:46:13what we'd Commission people to sculpt that say, yeah, I'd be
- 1:46:16all for smaller people in both mythic and cosmic.
- 1:46:20Yeah, I think that's definitely something we.
- 1:46:22Need Eric in in werewolves. We're going to get these at some
- 1:46:28point because Eric said he loves werewolves and he said they're
- 1:46:30in mythos, but we need werewolves.
- 1:46:32I'd want brute or ogre scale ideally for werewolves.
- 1:46:36Yes. Again, you know I'm fussy with
- 1:46:37my scales. Listen, OK, yeah, be.
- 1:46:40Careful, don't what I would like a new scale now for the
- 1:46:42werewolves. Oh that would be cool.
- 1:46:46Brute plus, so it's not quite Ogre, but it's a bit bigger than
- 1:46:49Brute where it's like Monkey King is not really.
- 1:46:52I mean it's. 1.0 scale, but it's got different, slightly
- 1:46:56different size. Yeah, yeah, I'd want.
- 1:47:00Because I'm demanding different looks though.
- 1:47:02So like a human turned into a werewolf would look like a
- 1:47:05particular werewolf. Then a dwarf turned into a
- 1:47:07werewolf would look different, obviously be like orange fur
- 1:47:11because it's a dwarf that's been turned.
- 1:47:13But then it would just, it would have, I don't know, maybe a more
- 1:47:16of a puggish face than a human that had been turned and that
- 1:47:20sort of stuff. So, you know, you could go to
- 1:47:22town on the werewolfs, Eric, just like Where creatures.
- 1:47:26I would love a where Tiger. Give me a where tiger all day,
- 1:47:29every day. I'd be all over like a wiger.
- 1:47:36It could be a wiger I guess. And.
- 1:47:42I'd also I'd also live a. Where where hyena?
- 1:47:45Because I'd love a hyena on the wine too.
- 1:47:46Again, that's you're here, folks.
- 1:47:52I'd love a Wiener. Right.
- 1:48:00Are we done with your? I think so.
- 1:48:05And I played the outro. No, no, not quite character
- 1:48:09types we haven't had. He's John's definitely got that
- 1:48:12face. Anyone that's just listening?
- 1:48:14No, I haven't. Yeah, Squires.
- 1:48:16We need Squires. We've talked about this before,
- 1:48:19like soft goods or basic armour. You know, somebody support.
- 1:48:22The knight Black townsfolk we're not going to get.
- 1:48:24Townsfolk we're not getting. Townsfolk the Squire.
- 1:48:27Squire is not towns. It's it's, it's a jumped Uptown
- 1:48:30smoke. Folk and then, very briefly,
- 1:48:34accessories. Whips.
- 1:48:36We need whips. Why haven't we?
- 1:48:37Yeah, So the gerbil. Yeah, exactly.
- 1:48:40Oh, a little chariot. Being pulled along by two
- 1:48:42gerbils. He's heard me because he's
- 1:48:44stuffed now as well. Yeah, that can work well.
- 1:48:48Multi ended flails again. We've got flails, but it's just
- 1:48:51the one thing. Let's have one with three. 4-5
- 1:48:54more flame effects. Arrows with flame.
- 1:48:57Effects awesome. Yeah, and heavily spiked.
- 1:49:00Maces and again, this could be like the porcupine buffer
- 1:49:03impossible to do, but just a shit ton of bikes on the end of
- 1:49:06these things sort of things. So you're going to do some
- 1:49:08proper damage to people or like wooden club would spike on it.
- 1:49:12Yeah, I think that's everything. I could go on all day.
- 1:49:16You know Me. He could.
- 1:49:18Yeah. Mission ideas and the Outron as
- 1:49:20well. We're done.
- 1:49:24Thanks, Rich. Enjoyed that.
- 1:49:26You know what I didn't think we had?
- 1:49:27Much for this week, but turns out we did.
- 1:49:30Stay safe out there. Everybody and don't upset John,
- 1:49:33otherwise you'll get the look. This is what not being able to
- 1:49:57drink does to me. Oh.
- 1:49:59I forgot to show this. My, my walk was like an
- 1:50:02Egyptian. There you go.
- 1:50:05You can go on. Your Anubis display.
- 1:50:10Yeah, you'll have to put. Featuring.
- 1:50:11Waffle and don't bother cutting them out.
- 1:50:13Just put featuring waffle in the sorry man, It's no, it's really
- 1:50:18annoying. I won't.
- 1:50:20Listen back to it if I don't get rid of it.
