- 0:10SPEAKER_00: It's coming for you.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: There is a growing crisis affecting people everywhere.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: Men and women living far below their God-given potential.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: Not because they are incapable, but because they've grown comfortable surviving instead of living.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: Our report will identify the problem, expose what's keeping people stuck, and most importantly, offer the remedy to get and keep the hell out of your life.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: We go now to the studio of Ron Myers, the promoter, a voice for clarity, courage, and calling, with today's message, if not now, when.
- 0:45Ron Meyers: One evening I'm on my couch and I had this random thought just pop in my head.
- 0:51Ron Meyers: And it was this so are you really going to waste away and wonder what if?
- 1:00Ron Meyers: And it took me back to a day in my life when I was full of what ifs.
- 1:07Ron Meyers: What if it doesn't work?
- 1:08Ron Meyers: What if it fails?
- 1:10Ron Meyers: What if people don't like me?
- 1:12Ron Meyers: What if I sound stupid?
- 1:14Ron Meyers: What if I'm just dreaming?
- 1:18Ron Meyers: A lot of us go through those what ifs, and those what ifs are actually a slow, painful death.
- 1:26Ron Meyers: Because to me, the question isn't harmless and it's not neutral.
- 1:31Ron Meyers: Wondering what if for too long becomes a slow and painful death.
- 1:38Ron Meyers: Friend, I've lived that slow and painful death.
- 1:42Ron Meyers: Breathing, functioning, smiling on the outside, but slowly disappearing on the inside.
- 1:50Ron Meyers: I seem to be waiting for permission.
- 1:52Ron Meyers: I wanted clarity.
- 1:53Ron Meyers: I thought God was gonna send an angel down and do some skywriting and give me the exact directions of my life, but it never happened.
- 2:05Ron Meyers: So I thought, what if?
- 2:07Ron Meyers: Maybe what if?
- 2:08Ron Meyers: What if I take a chance?
- 2:10Ron Meyers: Maybe I need to quit waiting for someone else to tell me it's okay to dream again.
- 2:15Ron Meyers: But here's the most important thing I've learned, and I want to share this with you today because I want to help someone out there.
- 2:21Ron Meyers: Hell doesn't always look dramatic.
- 2:25Ron Meyers: Sometimes it looks like comfort without purpose, routine without joy, faith without expectation.
- 2:36Ron Meyers: So today, let's talk about getting out of that place, about dreaming again, about believing again, laughing again.
- 2:47Ron Meyers: Some of you haven't laughed in a long time because life circumstances have beat you to a pulp.
- 2:57Ron Meyers: You've lost faith in the church and God, your family and friends, because where were they when you needed them the most?
- 3:07Ron Meyers: And you finally, what if I just sit here and do nothing?
- 3:12Ron Meyers: This way I can't make any mistakes and I can't get yelled at by people.
- 3:18Ron Meyers: But God is asking you, what if today you give yourself permission to dream again?
- 3:26Ron Meyers: Because when Jesus is at the center of your life, you don't just survive the days, you're inspired by them.
- 3:37Ron Meyers: And I believe with everything in me that God has a plan and you're not too late to it.
- 3:48Ron Meyers: There is a clear and present danger of living the what if life.
- 3:58Ron Meyers: Stagnation is more dangerous than failure.
- 4:02Ron Meyers: What if sounds thoughtful, but it's often fear in disguise.
- 4:09Ron Meyers: We don't drift into purpose, we drift into comfort.
- 4:15Ron Meyers: You know it's amazing sometimes the thoughts with my conversations with Jesus.
- 4:20Ron Meyers: Those are the ones that I encourage you to have.
- 4:22Ron Meyers: You and Jesus all alone.
- 4:25Ron Meyers: Nice little atmosphere.
- 4:26Ron Meyers: You're sharing your heart, you're transparent, you're open, you're honest, you're asking questions, and then you pause for the silence, and you let that beautiful, still voice just speak to your heart.
- 4:40Ron Meyers: And this is the one thing I have found out about Jesus.
- 4:44Ron Meyers: He speaks love.
- 4:49Ron Meyers: He will inspire you.
- 4:52Ron Meyers: The Bible says that kindness leads a man to repentance.
- 4:57Ron Meyers: The change of your mind.
- 5:00Ron Meyers: You change your mind and you believe that what if I just trust Jesus one more time?
- 5:08Ron Meyers: Sounds thoughtful, but it's often fear in disguise.
- 5:14Ron Meyers: We don't drift into purpose, we drift into comfort.
- 5:21Ron Meyers: I remember when I was the manager of a Christian radio station, I absolutely loved it.
- 5:27Ron Meyers: It was my most favorite job of my whole entire life.
- 5:32Ron Meyers: But one day we had a note that the national organization was closing local stations to go to a national broadcast.
- 5:43Ron Meyers: And basically, I was terminated.
- 5:46Ron Meyers: I was without a job.
- 5:48Ron Meyers: And I was tough.
- 5:51Ron Meyers: It was tough.
- 5:52Ron Meyers: It was it was real tough.
- 5:56Ron Meyers: And one day in the studio that I used to broadcast uh over the radio, I said to myself, my conversation with Jesus, I don't understand this, Lord.
- 6:08Ron Meyers: We were doing things in the community.
- 6:10Ron Meyers: We helped people during Hurricane Katrina, we interviewed so many wonderful people.
- 6:16Ron Meyers: What happened?
- 6:18Ron Meyers: Did I do something wrong?
- 6:20Ron Meyers: And I had the most profound answer from Jesus.
- 6:24Ron Meyers: It changed my whole life.
- 6:26Ron Meyers: And he said, Well, Ron, would you have left the station on your own?
- 6:33Ron Meyers: And of course, the answer would have been no.
- 6:36Ron Meyers: No, why would have I left?
- 6:37Ron Meyers: I was having fun.
- 6:38Ron Meyers: I had a 401k, I had a medical plan.
- 6:42Ron Meyers: And then I heard you got so wrapped up in your title.
- 6:46Ron Meyers: You were a general manager of a radio station that thought you knew everything.
- 6:52Ron Meyers: And I was reminded of something.
- 6:54Ron Meyers: This is really what started getting my attention.
- 6:58Ron Meyers: He reminded me one day, years before this incident, that I had said on the air that I love my job and they're going to have to pry my dead fingers off the microphone.
- 7:12Ron Meyers: Well, I realized why he made me think about that.
- 7:18Ron Meyers: That's a very prideful and arrogant statement.
- 7:22Ron Meyers: It was as if I was telling God that, hey, I'm your child, you've got me to a place I like now.
- 7:29Ron Meyers: Now you can just let me go on autopilot.
- 7:33Ron Meyers: As I said earlier, we don't drift into purpose, we drift into comfort.
- 7:42Ron Meyers: I was comfortable because I never asked the what if this changes?
- 7:49Ron Meyers: What if I lose my health?
- 7:52Ron Meyers: What if God changes things?
- 7:54Ron Meyers: I had so much comfort and I thought that I'm doing everything for Jesus, so there's no way this is going to change.
- 8:05Ron Meyers: There's no way he's going to move me somewhere else.
- 8:09Ron Meyers: I believe that.
- 8:11Ron Meyers: And I was wrong because God is on the move.
- 8:15Ron Meyers: Jesus is on the move, we're on the move.
- 8:17Ron Meyers: We sometimes lose loved ones, whether it's family, friends, associates, and we think, well, how am I going to go on without them?
- 8:29Ron Meyers: What if my life falls apart because I don't have my security blanket?
- 8:34Ron Meyers: Friends, those are healthy thoughts, but it has to drift right into Jesus.
- 8:40Ron Meyers: Speak to me, inspire me, encourage me.
- 8:43Ron Meyers: These what ifs, they're scaring me to death.
- 8:46Ron Meyers: And I want to learn to dream again, I want to laugh again, I want to believe again.
- 8:50Ron Meyers: I want to finish strong in life.
- 8:55Ron Meyers: You ever think about that, friends?
- 8:57Ron Meyers: In life?
- 8:58Ron Meyers: It's never how you start, it's how you finish.
- 9:01Ron Meyers: And a lot of us, as we get older in life, and I know some of you can relate to this, we start looking over our life.
- 9:09Ron Meyers: And we think of those what ifs.
- 9:11Ron Meyers: And as I said earlier, if we're not willing to change, they can be a slow and painful death.
- 9:21Ron Meyers: So I realized that he had something different.
- 9:25Ron Meyers: And when he asked me if I would have left on my own, and I said no, I realized that one door had to close before the other one could open.
- 9:37Ron Meyers: And friends, that day in my empty office by myself was the worst day of my life.
- 9:46Ron Meyers: But one year later, that day was the best day of my life.
- 9:54Ron Meyers: Why?
- 9:56Ron Meyers: Because I answered the question, what if I totally trust God?
- 10:02Ron Meyers: What if I put my destiny in his hands?
- 10:06Ron Meyers: What if I quit trying to change the things in my life because I'm not doing them?
- 10:13Ron Meyers: What if I rest in his finished works?
- 10:16Ron Meyers: What if I actually believe grace?
- 10:20Ron Meyers: And friends, that was the most transformative days, years of my life.
- 10:27Ron Meyers: Because, friends, when you see grace, you can never unsee grace.
- 10:34Ron Meyers: So today, I want to remind you that Jesus doesn't promise easy, He promises presence.
- 10:45Ron Meyers: Daily inspiration isn't hype, it's alignment.
- 10:50Ron Meyers: And centering my life on Jesus was as essential as me having oxygen to breathe.
- 10:58Ron Meyers: It clarified my decisions, it softened my fear, and it restored laughter.
- 11:05Ron Meyers: Friends, I started living again.
- 11:08Ron Meyers: I started being happy again.
- 11:10Ron Meyers: I was having random thoughts.
- 11:13Ron Meyers: And soon I was back on the radio.
- 11:18Ron Meyers: No, not by a company, but I bought equipment, produced my own show, started buying radio time around the country, and then put it into a podcast.
- 11:31Ron Meyers: See now, friends, I have my total freedom.
- 11:35Ron Meyers: I get to be me, not constrained by the rules and the regulations of churches, of bosses, of individuals, but Jesus and I do life together.
- 11:50Ron Meyers: And one of the things that I heard crystal clear in those early days of termination, and this is where you fit in.
- 11:59Ron Meyers: God would give me a platform.
- 12:01Ron Meyers: Individuals would come on air and share how their life changed when they began to ask the question, what if I asked Jesus for help?
- 12:12Ron Meyers: 99% of my guests never met Jesus in church.
- 12:17Ron Meyers: They met Jesus at the end of themselves asking that question, What if I trust Jesus?
- 12:25Ron Meyers: And friends, to this day, I believe with my whole heart, it's not an accident.
- 12:31Ron Meyers: You're listening to this.
- 12:32Ron Meyers: You're listening to this because God wants to replace what if I fail to what if life gets good when you trust Jesus?
- 12:45Ron Meyers: What if there are things available to you that you can't even comprehend, you can't even think about because you haven't got out of the boat?
- 12:56Ron Meyers: You can't walk on water if you don't get out of the boat.
- 13:00Ron Meyers: And today is the day that I believe that Jesus is raising a group of people that will dare to believe again, dare to laugh again, dare to say, what if I totally trust Jesus?
- 13:14Ron Meyers: What if I believe what he said, that he has a plan and a destiny for me?
- 13:20Ron Meyers: What if I take Jesus at his word when he said, your sins are forgiven, past, present, and future?
- 13:29Ron Meyers: What if I totally believe that I cannot lose my salvation?
- 13:36Ron Meyers: What if I believe he will never leave or forsake me and there is no shame and condemnation in Jesus?
- 13:44Ron Meyers: If you absolutely believed that, your whole entire life will change.
- 13:50Ron Meyers: See, grace goes before you.
- 13:54Ron Meyers: Grace opens the doors of opportunity that you may have to try to beat them down with your fist.
- 14:02Ron Meyers: But grace opens the doors gently.
- 14:06Ron Meyers: And when you walk in those doors, you know that you know that Jesus just led you into a new chapter of your life.
- 14:19Ron Meyers: Friends, there are people hurting in this world.
- 14:22Ron Meyers: There are people that are scared and fearful, and they want to believe what I'm saying.
- 14:29Ron Meyers: But I will tell you this: if you don't, you will have that slow, painful death of what if, living on the islands of regrets, would have, should have, and could have.
- 14:43Ron Meyers: Today, God is calling you to the islands of hope, opportunity, peace, and joy.
- 14:53Ron Meyers: You know, when you have that presence of Jesus in you and you feel it and you know it, and you have a peace and you have a hope, you don't have cares, you don't have worries, you're not worried about the money in the bank account, you're not worried about anything because the one thing when you have that relationship with Jesus and you know that you know that He is for you and not against you, you never want to leave it.
- 15:20Ron Meyers: You find that all the things that you chased in life, the things that the world has told you to go after, the things that people say, well, if you do this, you'll get something in return.
- 15:33Ron Meyers: No, no, no.
- 15:36Ron Meyers: It's all about resting in the finished works of Jesus.
- 15:41Ron Meyers: This is your day.
- 15:42Ron Meyers: This is your time.
- 15:44Ron Meyers: This is your message.
- 15:46Ron Meyers: A body at rest tends to stay at rest.
- 15:50Ron Meyers: A body in motion tends to stay in motion.
- 15:56Ron Meyers: Today is the day that Jesus is uh calling the motionless into his arms so they will begin the motion of joy, of peace, of purpose, the fruits of the spirit, and the fog from their eyes will clear, they will see what they need to see, they will hear what they need to hear.
- 16:22Ron Meyers: This is the greatest time to be alive.
- 16:27Ron Meyers: I absolutely believe that.
- 16:29Ron Meyers: That's why I'm giving you this message to encourage you, inspire you, and empower you that it's never too late for a new beginning.
