- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Benn and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with i R Radio. This is another episode of the
- 0:07Speaker 1: Almost Famous podcast and also another very special episode of
- 0:12Speaker 1: the Almost Famous podcast. We have a part of the
- 0:15Speaker 1: Almost Famous family with us, Bob Guinea Hello, and also
- 0:20Speaker 1: my friend, very good looking fellow, Jason Tartick. Hello, buddy.
- 0:25Speaker 1: What's up? Guys? Ben and Bob? What anter? So that's
- 0:29Speaker 1: a nice that Ben and Bob has a nice little
- 0:31Speaker 1: rhyme to it. I like, well, we'll talk about it later.
- 0:34Speaker 1: I hearts listening. Okay. So here's the thing. This is
- 0:38Speaker 1: a special episode for a couple of reasons. We have
- 0:41Speaker 1: a journey to Las Vegas that we're going to be
- 0:44Speaker 1: sharing together. It's a boy's trip and we're driving from
- 0:48Speaker 1: Los Angeles to Las Vegas and our Hyundai Ionic five
- 0:53Speaker 1: road tripping visiting some incredible places. I'm just gonna name
- 0:56Speaker 1: off some of the spots right here that I have played,
- 1:00Speaker 1: and I think one of the best road trips that
- 1:03Speaker 1: anybody could ever imagine. Not only are we gonna be
- 1:06Speaker 1: driving in style, but we're gonna be stopping at Mormon
- 1:10Speaker 1: Rocks Viewpoint. I'm still in California, amazing place. I haven't
- 1:15Speaker 1: been to any of them, not been to Mormon Rocks neither,
- 1:18Speaker 1: nor do I know what it is actually, but I'm excited.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Also Elmer's Bottle Tree Ranch, also still in California. These
- 1:26Speaker 1: are all spots that were highly recommended when you start
- 1:29Speaker 1: googling and planning for a road trip from Los Angeles
- 1:32Speaker 1: to Las Vegas. We're gonna do it all. We're also
- 1:35Speaker 1: gonna go and I think you guys are gonna be
- 1:37Speaker 1: pumped about this. This is kind of like the Kicker
- 1:40Speaker 1: for me. We're gonna go to Calico Ghost Town Campground.
- 1:43Speaker 1: This is a ghost ghost town. Let's pause here for
- 1:47Speaker 1: a second. So this is a ghost town. Do you
- 1:51Speaker 1: all believe in ghost Do you have a ghost story?
- 1:55Speaker 1: The only thing I fear more than ghosts are clowns.
- 1:57Speaker 1: So thankfully it's not a clown town. I have a
- 1:59Speaker 1: big clown book. I don't know if you Oh my god,
- 2:00Speaker 1: I didn't know that. I can't if a clown comes
- 2:04Speaker 1: on like my body like freezes. If a ghost of
- 2:06Speaker 1: a clown rolls in here, I'm I'm out of here.
- 2:08Speaker 1: I can't do it. I am not I I do.
- 2:11Speaker 1: I do think that there's some type of spiritual presence.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I mean, there has to be right. I mean, I
- 2:17Speaker 1: can't believe that we just do all this work and
- 2:19Speaker 1: live all this time and then just go away. Yeah,
- 2:21Speaker 1: I could see you, Like Ghostbuster should have been a
- 2:24Speaker 1: Ghostbusters from Baschel role to be you, Hoover. I'm back.
- 2:28Speaker 1: My and and uncle live in the house that um
- 2:31Speaker 1: it burned. The one spot a time was a house
- 2:34Speaker 1: that burned down and a girl died in it, and
- 2:37Speaker 1: her name was Molly, and so they rebuilt the house.
- 2:40Speaker 1: It was time after and they swear by the fact
- 2:43Speaker 1: that Molly is living in the house, and the stories
- 2:46Speaker 1: they tell about the lights flickering and plants moving and
- 2:48Speaker 1: all this stuff happening. It's actually so bad that my
- 2:53Speaker 1: mom's sister's daughter, if you talk about Molly just from
- 2:58Speaker 1: living in the house, she'll like start having a pack
- 3:01Speaker 1: at that. She's like, I just can't do stop. So like,
- 3:04Speaker 1: I get that because I experience that, but a lot
- 3:08Speaker 1: of people have and those there's something to it. As
- 3:11Speaker 1: I get older, I've had four people in my life
- 3:14Speaker 1: who I trust and who I like admire, who have
- 3:19Speaker 1: told me with all confidence that they've seen a ghost,
- 3:22Speaker 1: that they've walked across the ghost that a ghost has
- 3:25Speaker 1: confronted them. This happens often. It's wild, but as I
- 3:28Speaker 1: get older, more people seem to talk about it. So
- 3:31Speaker 1: we're also going to be stopping at zz y z
- 3:34Speaker 1: X road. I can't tell you anymore. It's all surprised.
- 3:42Speaker 1: The world's tallest thermometer? How tall? Do we know? How tall?
- 3:48Speaker 1: Have we? Gotta wait? There's no details this yet because
- 3:51Speaker 1: this is all going to be an experience. As we're
- 3:53Speaker 1: driving in style, We're going across uh the land of
- 3:58Speaker 1: from from Los Angeles Lasvega. It's not a long roach
- 4:00Speaker 1: or it's like four hours and I've done it many times.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Have you ever been at a world's largest or smallest anything? Earliest,
- 4:06Speaker 1: big corn maze, twine? Yes? Interest you see that. I
- 4:14Speaker 1: don't know if that's like from vacation or not, but
- 4:16Speaker 1: I feel like I've seen it. Did you take that
- 4:18Speaker 1: from a movie? And they okay, yeah, and they have
- 4:20Speaker 1: taken that because anybody that has anything the world, like
- 4:23Speaker 1: the world's tallest thermometer. When I see that on the
- 4:25Speaker 1: list of things we should stop at, you gotta stop.
- 4:29Speaker 1: I mean, how many times in your life can you
- 4:30Speaker 1: see the world's biggest or best anything. Alright, we're also
- 4:37Speaker 1: stopping at Alien Fresh Jerky. Jerky fans love jerky? Who doesn't?
- 4:44Speaker 1: What's the alien part? All surprises? Surprises? Yes in Seven
- 4:49Speaker 1: Magic Mountains? Wait? Wait, wait, do you believe in aliens?
- 4:53Speaker 1: I do? I think there's just no way I believe
- 4:56Speaker 1: in jerky? Yes, I mean I think, I guess I do.
- 5:00Speaker 1: It's kind of along the same lines as go I
- 5:01Speaker 1: have one last question. I getting off the road trip,
- 5:04Speaker 1: But why do you think that we as humans think
- 5:07Speaker 1: aliens are the look that like we always see him
- 5:10Speaker 1: as with the big heads. Do you have any theory
- 5:11Speaker 1: on that somebody must have saw something? Maybe we'll ask
- 5:14Speaker 1: someone at the stop. It's gonna be incredible trip. Boys.
- 5:18Speaker 1: I am so pumped for this journey. I mean, I
- 5:20Speaker 1: think you know it's not often that you can get
- 5:24Speaker 1: away go to an incredible music festival. Right. This is
- 5:27Speaker 1: gonna be probably my fifth year attending the I Heart
- 5:31Speaker 1: Music Festival. It is an awesome experience. You see some
- 5:36Speaker 1: of the best talent in the world. And the cool
- 5:39Speaker 1: part for me is you know you're there and the
- 5:41Speaker 1: stage rotates and so you have somebody on stage not
- 5:45Speaker 1: many minutes later, somebody else comes up on stage. Not
- 5:47Speaker 1: a lot of lull and there's no law that. Um,
- 5:50Speaker 1: you know, there's little activities in between. It's a great event. Uh.
- 5:54Speaker 1: And being in Vegas is a lot of fun obviously. Yeah, Jason,
- 5:58Speaker 1: and we're talking about that. We both love Vegas. Big
- 6:00Speaker 1: Vegas guys that I went to I heeart with you
- 6:02Speaker 1: in two thousand and eighteen. I'll never forget you wore
- 6:04Speaker 1: the wolf shirt. Just unbelievable red carpetwork right there, and
- 6:07Speaker 1: Blake was there, Nick Vielle was there. I mean that
- 6:10Speaker 1: was great. So I've been before, but the person is
- 6:12Speaker 1: always wanted to go. My mom when I went to
- 6:13Speaker 1: that trip, she always talking like I would die Togo,
- 6:15Speaker 1: I would die to go, and through my heart, they're
- 6:17Speaker 1: actually going to take and bring my mom this first time.
- 6:21Speaker 1: She's so excited. She's it's literally like three months before
- 6:24Speaker 1: and she's like shopping like three months ago. She was
- 6:26Speaker 1: like like should I wear this outfit. She's like talking
- 6:29Speaker 1: to her friends like she is so excited and she
- 6:31Speaker 1: loves both of YouTube, so she can't wait to meet
- 6:33Speaker 1: you guys. She's already met you. Yeah, yeah, we did
- 6:36Speaker 1: this at any show together. I love her. Yeah. I
- 6:37Speaker 1: brought my parents out to two years ago for it
- 6:41Speaker 1: because they were so excited and they watched it every
- 6:44Speaker 1: year on TV. Now they still talk about it. Um,
- 6:47Speaker 1: it's a blast. And so your mom, I mean, I
- 6:49Speaker 1: don't want to set expectations too high because that's never fair.
- 6:52Speaker 1: But like, I think every expectation she has is going
- 6:54Speaker 1: to be far exceeded. And really nice of you to
- 6:58Speaker 1: like and like, you know, work with I heart to
- 7:01Speaker 1: get her out there. I'm I'm like big on negotiating, right,
- 7:04Speaker 1: I always preached that, and so when I heard asked
- 7:06Speaker 1: me to be part of everything that we're doing here,
- 7:09Speaker 1: I said, there's only I only negotiate one contingency. Can
- 7:11Speaker 1: my mom come? And I said, And so it brings
- 7:19Speaker 1: us into then obviously Vegas is a lot of fun.
- 7:24Speaker 1: We've you know, this will be your first time, Bob,
- 7:28Speaker 1: it's I mean, we can talk on and on about that.
- 7:31Speaker 1: My first time in Vegas. It's been a lot, a
- 7:35Speaker 1: lot more and I should probably admit, well that bleeds
- 7:37Speaker 1: is my next question. Then how many times have you
- 7:40Speaker 1: been to Vegas? Can you even count? No, I mean
- 7:43Speaker 1: it's been it's been a lot, lot, lot, But it's
- 7:45Speaker 1: always been like there's been a lot of so for example,
- 7:48Speaker 1: this will be kind of interesting. Uh maybe so right
- 7:52Speaker 1: after the Bachelor atte before they made me the Bachelor.
- 7:55Speaker 1: So this is back in two thousand three, two thousand four,
- 7:57Speaker 1: they did the first We did the first um sort
- 8:01Speaker 1: of like show get together of everyone that had been
- 8:04Speaker 1: on the show up until that point, and we did
- 8:05Speaker 1: it in Vegas at the hard Rock and um, it
- 8:09Speaker 1: was such a great time, like to the to the
- 8:11Speaker 1: point of just bananas good time. And I tried to
- 8:15Speaker 1: leave three days in a row, like literally had a
- 8:19Speaker 1: flight and was on my way to the airport, and
- 8:21Speaker 1: something happened that I missed my flight. And then I
- 8:24Speaker 1: got to the point where I was I was supposed
- 8:26Speaker 1: to do something on the It was like I think
- 8:28Speaker 1: it was around the time of the Emmy's as well,
- 8:29Speaker 1: and I was gonna do something on the red carpet
- 8:31Speaker 1: and I literally could not get home, Like I just
- 8:33Speaker 1: I rented a car and drove back. Oh I got
- 8:36Speaker 1: it was nut. I was there. You know, I was
- 8:40Speaker 1: supposed to be there for three days. Um, I say,
- 8:42Speaker 1: I was probably there for a solid week, you know,
- 8:45Speaker 1: tipped the tail. But it was a very very fun
- 8:47Speaker 1: adventure and that was that was kind of what kicks started,
- 8:50Speaker 1: those whole like reunion things that would happen, you know.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Um so, uh yeah, it was pretty fun. So that
- 8:55Speaker 1: was a really good time for me in Vegas. And
- 8:57Speaker 1: then I wanted to talk to Jason. You're a big
- 9:00Speaker 1: poker player. I love playing poker. So when you come out,
- 9:02Speaker 1: do you camp out in a poker room and just
- 9:04Speaker 1: go for it? Or what the problem with dead is?
- 9:06Speaker 1: If you're gonna do the poker thing and you're gonna
- 9:08Speaker 1: do it right, you gotta have you gotta bring your bankroll,
- 9:11Speaker 1: and you can't be social because you have to sit
- 9:13Speaker 1: in those rooms for like twelve hours. It's a rare
- 9:16Speaker 1: thing I'm gonna do because I'm usually going to Vegas
- 9:18Speaker 1: and social. But we actually when you said that, it
- 9:20Speaker 1: reminded me. We filmed in Vegas for the season I
- 9:23Speaker 1: was on Rebecca and I think one of the like
- 9:25Speaker 1: memories I'll never forget about Vegas is we got to
- 9:27Speaker 1: go to Wayne Newton's house and he gave us a
- 9:29Speaker 1: tour of like all the stuff he and his house
- 9:32Speaker 1: is like a museum, Like I remember the one where
- 9:34Speaker 1: it's like framed and he had a note from Vegue
- 9:38Speaker 1: or from Elvis and like all these things from like
- 9:40Speaker 1: he like Liberaci's car, like the craziest stuff. And so
- 9:44Speaker 1: that was like one of those memories from Vegas. I'll
- 9:46Speaker 1: never forget. Speaking of great cars. Obviously, Hyundai and the
- 9:49Speaker 1: Ionic five is going to be our mode of transportation.
- 9:52Speaker 1: This car flies to beautiful sick. You said something. We're
- 9:57Speaker 1: in the car earlier, you said something, uh that I
- 10:00Speaker 1: want to take with me. You said, you when you
- 10:02Speaker 1: sit in the car, you feel I felt very relaxed
- 10:06Speaker 1: and freshed. It's because it's very like clean in there.
- 10:09Speaker 1: It's very crisp. It's like beautiful interior. Oh that's interesting
- 10:14Speaker 1: like that, like I felt destressed and you have the
- 10:18Speaker 1: calming waves going. Yeah, the music has an option on
- 10:21Speaker 1: there for calming waves or if you know, you get
- 10:23Speaker 1: a little anxiety. I'm usually not a fan of road trips, gentlemen.
- 10:26Speaker 1: I would prefer to fly. I like the couple hours,
- 10:29Speaker 1: a couple of minutes of just no responsibility. Everything's out
- 10:32Speaker 1: of my hands. I just get to sit back and relax.
- 10:35Speaker 1: But I'm very excited for this road trip, not only
- 10:38Speaker 1: because you know, I took the time to plan all
- 10:41Speaker 1: these wild stuff I tried um and I want to
- 10:47Speaker 1: have this experience with you all. This journey is gonna
- 10:49Speaker 1: be very very special to all of us. But I'm
- 10:52Speaker 1: also just excited to drive this car in style to
- 10:54Speaker 1: go up to I mean, I would put Vegas is
- 10:57Speaker 1: one of my favorite cities. But let me tell you why.
- 11:00Speaker 1: I do love a good round of blackjack like it's
- 11:03Speaker 1: It's a lot of fun for me. But as I've
- 11:05Speaker 1: gotten older, Vegas has changed for me. We filmed during
- 11:08Speaker 1: my season in Vegas when I was the Bachelor, so
- 11:10Speaker 1: I got to do a lot of cool things around Vegas,
- 11:12Speaker 1: see a lot of stuff. I've been to multiple Bachelor
- 11:16Speaker 1: parties in Las Vegas. That is not my favorite way
- 11:19Speaker 1: to do Vegas, though, I like to go now with
- 11:21Speaker 1: my wife, Uh, stay in a hotel, pick a few
- 11:26Speaker 1: great places to go to dinner, play blackjack up before dinner.
- 11:30Speaker 1: That's kind of my style because I like to go
- 11:32Speaker 1: to bed early in Vegas because I like to wake
- 11:34Speaker 1: up walk the strips. Well, when you're married, there's not
- 11:40Speaker 1: a lot of reasons to say, well, what if your
- 11:44Speaker 1: wife's with you having a blast Jason, I don't have
- 11:49Speaker 1: that in me. Yeah, I like fired up a little bit.
- 11:53Speaker 1: I would love to say that, like that's my style.
- 11:56Speaker 1: But I've been to the clubs in Vegas. There are
- 11:58Speaker 1: a lot of we've been together, there are a lot.
- 12:01Speaker 1: For me. You definitely go into like statue mode. Yeah,
- 12:03Speaker 1: I don't love it, like people too loud of music, um,
- 12:09Speaker 1: too many like things blowing on me, like a lot
- 12:12Speaker 1: of like different fog machines, and then all of a
- 12:14Speaker 1: sudden it's cold for a second and then it's really
- 12:16Speaker 1: hot again. There's too many temperature change the temperature changes
- 12:19Speaker 1: in there you have to deal with. It's it's aggressive.
- 12:23Speaker 1: I like it. It's a roller car to man, I
- 12:25Speaker 1: come alive in Vegas. I love it. I just love it.
- 12:38Speaker 1: So are you guys? Club guys? Like, can you still
- 12:41Speaker 1: pull that off? Do you still enjoy it? Do you Okay?
- 12:43Speaker 1: So let me let me preface this by saying the
- 12:45Speaker 1: reason that I would still go to a club with
- 12:48Speaker 1: you all, if you're like, hey, let's do this. This
- 12:50Speaker 1: would be a lot of fun. I would enjoy going
- 12:52Speaker 1: with you guys and having that experience. I don't know
- 12:54Speaker 1: how long I would stay, but I'd be there. Um.
- 12:57Speaker 1: I just have never woken up the next day for
- 13:00Speaker 1: for any reason and gone, wow, I'm so glad I
- 13:03Speaker 1: did that. So I want to ask you, do you
- 13:07Speaker 1: enjoy that part of Vegas? I you know I do?
- 13:10Speaker 1: Um So, So, my wife used to open nightclubs and
- 13:14Speaker 1: all over the country and like Miami, you know, New York,
- 13:16Speaker 1: l A. And she was a big part of opening
- 13:19Speaker 1: up what was formerly the s LS casino here on
- 13:21Speaker 1: the in Vegas rather on the Sahara footprint there. And
- 13:24Speaker 1: um so I was never really a big club guy
- 13:27Speaker 1: prior to you know, starting to date her and stuff,
- 13:30Speaker 1: and but she would always go and they literally wouldn't
- 13:32Speaker 1: even get ready to go out until like midnight. And
- 13:35Speaker 1: I'm like, what, you know, this is bananas. But I
- 13:38Speaker 1: really ended up having a great time. So you know,
- 13:40Speaker 1: when you're with the right people, I think it can
- 13:42Speaker 1: be a lot of fun. Um but I know what
- 13:44Speaker 1: you mean, Like there is a certain element when you're
- 13:45Speaker 1: at the clubs, the music still you know, you're not talking.
- 13:48Speaker 1: But this was me, and this is me at twenty
- 13:50Speaker 1: like two, I wasn't like I wasn't into it. Like
- 13:53Speaker 1: at twenty two even I was like this, this feels
- 13:56Speaker 1: too much, too much social anxiety from Yeah. See I
- 13:59Speaker 1: I mean when I was way too and stuff, I
- 14:00Speaker 1: loved it. I was like, let's go, let's have a
- 14:03Speaker 1: good time. I'm not like a really like half as
- 14:05Speaker 1: kind of guy. If I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna
- 14:06Speaker 1: do it right. But I'm not gonna go to the
- 14:07Speaker 1: club every weekend. But when I go, we're gonna do
- 14:10Speaker 1: it right. We're gonna stay out, We're going to the
- 14:12Speaker 1: diner at six am. And then the next day I
- 14:14Speaker 1: would be like, you know what, that was a whole
- 14:15Speaker 1: lot of fun. Now today I don't want to go
- 14:18Speaker 1: to a club. And I truly mean this un less
- 14:20Speaker 1: like significant others are there with us too much of
- 14:23Speaker 1: I had all the bullshit, what's the point of it?
- 14:25Speaker 1: But when you have you're like significantly supposed like six
- 14:27Speaker 1: couples and you're not doing it often, and it's a
- 14:30Speaker 1: good dj and you're just like dancing and on top
- 14:33Speaker 1: of the world, having so much fun. I'll do it. Yeah,
- 14:36Speaker 1: you know what I mean, that's a that's a perfect
- 14:38Speaker 1: storm right there. I don't want to be with a
- 14:40Speaker 1: bachelor party going to a club. No, it's too many
- 14:42Speaker 1: headaches and bullshit and it's just but if you're going
- 14:45Speaker 1: through a significant other, it's I feel like Vegas has
- 14:48Speaker 1: been usurped to a certain degree as like to certain
- 14:53Speaker 1: to Nashville, Like Nashville has become more of a bachelor
- 14:55Speaker 1: bachette party destination, I feel maybe than Vegas. You know. So,
- 14:59Speaker 1: I mean you never know broadways nuts, right, it used
- 15:04Speaker 1: to not be that way. No, it's all Vegas all
- 15:05Speaker 1: the time, all the time. Okay, So we're gonna get
- 15:08Speaker 1: through the things that people best know Vegas for. Right,
- 15:11Speaker 1: you have the nightlife scene. You also have the casinos. Uh.
- 15:17Speaker 1: We were chatting a second ago and I wasn't really
- 15:19Speaker 1: listening because I was one I'm being intrigued on this show.
- 15:22Speaker 1: But you have had some success at the tables, right,
- 15:25Speaker 1: you have some stories to share. So I'm just gonna
- 15:27Speaker 1: throw it to you two to kind of share your
- 15:28Speaker 1: success stories. Now, just to be clear, it's not always
- 15:33Speaker 1: it's not always a story. So like, there's been some
- 15:36Speaker 1: rough times as well. Oh, I'll let you know. I
- 15:40Speaker 1: think there's been highs and I mean there's been times
- 15:42Speaker 1: where I have one thousands of dollars and times I've
- 15:45Speaker 1: lost thousands of downs when I go to Vegas, I
- 15:47Speaker 1: go with a very high risk tolerance, like let's ride
- 15:50Speaker 1: this wave. I bring the amount I want to bring,
- 15:52Speaker 1: and it is what it is. And I stopped at that.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Now I do have a good strounds just in um
- 15:56Speaker 1: at Wind Casino not too long ago, and I was
- 15:59Speaker 1: with a buddy who I've never seen this. He looks
- 16:01Speaker 1: at Roulette and he he tries to find trends and
- 16:04Speaker 1: I'm like, Okay, this guy's out of there, like come on.
- 16:06Speaker 1: And he's looking and he's looking at eight different tables
- 16:07Speaker 1: and he finds one and he he puts a hunter bucks.
- 16:10Speaker 1: He's hammering, he's hammering, hammering, keeps going, keeps going, double down.
- 16:13Speaker 1: He turned that a hundred bucks into like fifteen thousand.
- 16:15Speaker 1: So I wouldn't I wouldn't have like actually believed his
- 16:19Speaker 1: theory as I saw it in action. And I know
- 16:21Speaker 1: you have Roulette sor But before I tell you that story,
- 16:24Speaker 1: we're also at this is a crazy story. We're at
- 16:27Speaker 1: a casino and we get invited to this. It's like
- 16:29Speaker 1: a high rollers experience for the super Bowl, just because
- 16:32Speaker 1: we know a guy who's in marketing gives us passes
- 16:35Speaker 1: and we're talking to a very high level executive within
- 16:38Speaker 1: this casino management group. And it's right before the Super Bowl,
- 16:41Speaker 1: about twenty minutes before kickoff, and I asked the guy,
- 16:44Speaker 1: said to him, what do you want for this casino
- 16:47Speaker 1: to happen during the game? And he said to me, well,
- 16:50Speaker 1: I can't get into the specifics about that because I
- 16:53Speaker 1: asked him how much. I go, Okay, let's talk about
- 16:55Speaker 1: the industry. How much is being been on the super
- 16:57Speaker 1: Bowl today, not this casino. The whole industry said billion dollars.
- 17:01Speaker 1: So what does the industry, not this casino want to
- 17:05Speaker 1: happen because we want l A to win by three?
- 17:08Speaker 1: Like why because because if l A wins by four,
- 17:11Speaker 1: that's where the money isn't a lot of people have
- 17:12Speaker 1: money on since the money line, Uh, since the plus four.
- 17:15Speaker 1: So with l A can win by three, it's the
- 17:16Speaker 1: strike zone. I'm like, l is not one in by three.
- 17:19Speaker 1: I mean there's weirdnessed extra points, there was weird pass
- 17:22Speaker 1: interfererence calls. There was the most bizarre things happening in
- 17:25Speaker 1: that Super Bowl. L A one by three. I'm like, wait,
- 17:31Speaker 1: what do you do with that? My mind goes to this, Uh,
- 17:35Speaker 1: if there is a massive industry in which they will
- 17:40Speaker 1: be enticed or favored by billions and billions and billions
- 17:44Speaker 1: of dollars. I don't know if it's a coincidence when
- 17:48Speaker 1: things work out in their favor and you should do
- 17:49Speaker 1: due diligence before the money lines. On games, it's always
- 17:54Speaker 1: so unbelievably close, you know, it's like, how do they
- 17:57Speaker 1: do this? And so much, so much is object and
- 18:00Speaker 1: I want to get too down the Las Vegas conspiracy theories,
- 18:03Speaker 1: but there's so much a subjective in decision making for
- 18:07Speaker 1: refs that they can have a huge impact on the
- 18:11Speaker 1: outcomes a lot. I just don't know how you get
- 18:15Speaker 1: a bunch of humans who are like battling it out
- 18:18Speaker 1: every play. I don't know how you kind of control
- 18:22Speaker 1: that environment. It feels so uncontrollable to me. Those humans. Yeah,
- 18:28Speaker 1: those humans are like cast of a bachelor yeah show,
- 18:33Speaker 1: and it's like the executives on top, who are the
- 18:37Speaker 1: ones that are playing with the checker pieces. I want
- 18:40Speaker 1: to be casted as like Tom Brady. That's I mean,
- 18:44Speaker 1: that would be cool. I wish somebody at some point
- 18:46Speaker 1: he looks like a type of guy that can be
- 18:48Speaker 1: the quarterback. Yeah that works, Um, Bob, you were telling
- 18:51Speaker 1: us a really awesome table story. Yeah so um so
- 18:55Speaker 1: so I love I love Roulette, and I also love
- 18:58Speaker 1: the trending. So I see that's how you play. Oh yeah,
- 19:01Speaker 1: totally so so. A buddy of mine who used to
- 19:04Speaker 1: be a drummer in my band many years ago, became
- 19:06Speaker 1: a dealer. He and he started in a local Michigan
- 19:10Speaker 1: casino and now he actually works out here in Vegas
- 19:13Speaker 1: and um, but when he was at the Michigan casino,
- 19:16Speaker 1: we would talk about, you know, because he knew I had.
- 19:18Speaker 1: I had the same numbers I play every time. It's
- 19:20Speaker 1: on the wheel, not the board, right, meaning I look
- 19:23Speaker 1: at the number I like, which is number twenty five,
- 19:26Speaker 1: I go three to the right, three to the left.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Sometimes I'll pepper in like we were talking about today,
- 19:30Speaker 1: like nineteens that one number on the outside, So if
- 19:32Speaker 1: I go four to the right, four to the left,
- 19:33Speaker 1: whatever it is. But they're all in a zone on
- 19:35Speaker 1: the wheel, right, So not they're all over the board,
- 19:38Speaker 1: but that those numbers are randomly on that wheel in
- 19:41Speaker 1: this zone. One of them's double zero, one, ten, twenty nine, um,
- 19:47Speaker 1: you know, so anyway, they're those they're on this little
- 19:49Speaker 1: space nineteen. So I would start watching for those numbers,
- 19:53Speaker 1: and I would come in when my band was touring
- 19:54Speaker 1: and I'd be like, oh, man, we've got, you know,
- 19:57Speaker 1: a couple hundred bucks. I'm gonna, you know, play Roulette.
- 19:59Speaker 1: And I would my but he would say, trust me,
- 20:01Speaker 1: if you're good to the roulette dealers, the good roulette
- 20:03Speaker 1: dealers can get it in his zone. He's like, they
- 20:06Speaker 1: might not be able to hit the number every time,
- 20:08Speaker 1: but if the wheels not like freaking outgoing fast, they
- 20:10Speaker 1: can control the speed, they can get it into a zone.
- 20:14Speaker 1: And I was I was like really, He's like yeah.
- 20:16Speaker 1: So anyway, it became a thing where my first thing
- 20:17Speaker 1: to do is I'd come up and be like, hey,
- 20:19Speaker 1: what's up. Man. I'm always like super nicely dealer, and
- 20:20Speaker 1: I always put him in the game. So I'll be like,
- 20:23Speaker 1: I'll put like, you know, twenty bucks on on red
- 20:25Speaker 1: twenty five, and I'll put another nickel top chips with
- 20:27Speaker 1: the dealer. Thanks, man, I'm like twenty five, but let's
- 20:30Speaker 1: do it, you know. And I would I would just
- 20:32Speaker 1: stay on it, stay on it, stay on it, even
- 20:33Speaker 1: if it made me exhaust my bank roll before I
- 20:36Speaker 1: ever hit it. But they would try and if they're
- 20:38Speaker 1: in that little zone, I'd be a winner. So my
- 20:42Speaker 1: band from TV was out here doing a Vegas gig.
- 20:43Speaker 1: This is several years ago, and we're at a casino.
- 20:46Speaker 1: We've got like four hours to kill after sound check,
- 20:49Speaker 1: and so I decide I want to go and just
- 20:50Speaker 1: play a little really so, and I'm the singer in
- 20:52Speaker 1: this band, by the way, and that's an important part
- 20:54Speaker 1: of the story, because I lost my voice screaming because
- 20:56Speaker 1: I was going so crazy. So I'll go out the table.
- 20:59Speaker 1: I'm you know, I'm going for my numbers. I'm doing
- 21:01Speaker 1: my thing. They so I'm like, oh my god, this
- 21:04Speaker 1: is great. Now I don't have I haven't maxed anything
- 21:06Speaker 1: out yet, you know, so the first time. So I'm like, hey,
- 21:08Speaker 1: nothings sweeter than a repeater. Let's do it again. They
- 21:11Speaker 1: do it again. I'm like, oh my god. So now
- 21:14Speaker 1: I've hit my number twice in a row. So now
- 21:17Speaker 1: I go table max. I'm like, dude, come on, three,
- 21:21Speaker 1: can we do this. I'm like, you know, I think
- 21:23Speaker 1: I put a quarter on top. I'm like the top
- 21:25Speaker 1: chips yours, you know, that's seventy the dealer. If it
- 21:27Speaker 1: hits and boom, he hits it. Damn, that's three. Now
- 21:31Speaker 1: we got a crowd of people around the table. The
- 21:34Speaker 1: pit boss comes over. They they're like, you know, hey,
- 21:36Speaker 1: we're gonna have to this guy's going on break. Yeah
- 21:40Speaker 1: what this guy? So they put the dealer on break.
- 21:43Speaker 1: The new person comes in and I already had all
- 21:46Speaker 1: my numbers placed at this point, so I have kind
- 21:47Speaker 1: of a lot on the table. She hits double zero,
- 21:49Speaker 1: another one of my numbers in the zone. Right then
- 21:52Speaker 1: the next time she spends it, she has again. So
- 21:55Speaker 1: there was just I mean, I walked out of there
- 21:57Speaker 1: with I was say it was it was a consider
- 22:00Speaker 1: rible amount of money, to the point where I was
- 22:01Speaker 1: afraid that I was gonna get jumped or something, you
- 22:04Speaker 1: know what I mean, Because it was like kind of
- 22:06Speaker 1: everyone knew I won this money, and everyone's like cheering
- 22:08Speaker 1: and crazy as am I and um and this was
- 22:10Speaker 1: many years ago now, but like I remember walking away
- 22:12Speaker 1: with like a couple of racks of chips and then
- 22:14Speaker 1: realizing on my way to the casino that I would
- 22:16Speaker 1: have to, you know, basically be on the hook for
- 22:19Speaker 1: that if I also, I was like, I'm gonna keep
- 22:22Speaker 1: gambling for a little bit later and not to cash
- 22:24Speaker 1: all this in right now. I did, of course pay
- 22:26Speaker 1: my taxes as I ami, you know, understanding citizen. But
- 22:29Speaker 1: I will say it was it was the most awesome
- 22:32Speaker 1: moment because I've never had it where it's hit that
- 22:34Speaker 1: many times in a row. We're trying the zone theory back.
- 22:36Speaker 1: I'm gonna sit trying. I'm just sitting with you guys
- 22:38Speaker 1: the whole time. Yeah, Okay. So to close this all up, though,
- 22:42Speaker 1: so Vegas obviously has the nightlife. It has the casinos,
- 22:46Speaker 1: great restaurants, great restaurants. I mean the food in Vegas,
- 22:49Speaker 1: That's what I said, that is one of my favorite things.
- 22:51Speaker 1: I do love a good casino, yeah I do, uh,
- 22:54Speaker 1: And I do enjoy going out with my friends. But
- 22:57Speaker 1: the food in Vegas. If you could just like go
- 23:00Speaker 1: to Vegas and do it well, I think you could
- 23:03Speaker 1: try some of the best food from you know, some
- 23:06Speaker 1: of the chefs from from all over the world come
- 23:08Speaker 1: in and do a restaurant there. Uh. And then you
- 23:11Speaker 1: know the shows. You have incredible music, great shows going
- 23:16Speaker 1: on in Vegas. It's a fun environment. But I will say,
- 23:20Speaker 1: uh that I heart music fest uh is is the
- 23:24Speaker 1: best show, the best experience I've had in Las Vegas. Electric.
- 23:29Speaker 1: It's electric. The arena's full. You know, everybody's excited. Uh.
- 23:34Speaker 1: It has all different genres of music, right. You can
- 23:37Speaker 1: have country mixed in with somebody from a totally different
- 23:41Speaker 1: genre come through. You can hear a lot of music
- 23:43Speaker 1: you haven't heard before. Uh. It's just a great time.
- 23:46Speaker 1: And we're gonna be traveling there in the Hundai Ionic.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Five things to uh for doing this. I mean, I mean,
- 23:53Speaker 1: how close it, guys that we get to do this
- 23:56Speaker 1: experience together. Your mom gets to meet you in Las Vegas. Uh,
- 24:01Speaker 1: and we're gonna be going there in an incredible vehicle.
- 24:05Speaker 1: I mean, this is it's like a pinch you know,
- 24:07Speaker 1: pinch me moment. How is this? I mean, it's just
- 24:11Speaker 1: gonna be a great trip. Oh, I can't wait. I
- 24:12Speaker 1: think it would be awesome. I'm coming down the days.
- 24:14Speaker 1: I gotta get my life to come. Because she hasn't
- 24:16Speaker 1: been back to Vegas since we had kids. She hasn't
- 24:19Speaker 1: really done much. We are one year old, you know,
- 24:21Speaker 1: because of COVID and everything. I gotta get her out
- 24:22Speaker 1: of the house. She's got to come. We're outfits where
- 24:24Speaker 1: we match the color of the car. Oh my gosh,
- 24:27Speaker 1: that means light ensemble. I like it. I like it,
- 24:31Speaker 1: and I mean I can't imagine pulling up the ghost
- 24:33Speaker 1: Town and all white man. That's scary. It's gonna be nice. Okay, well, boys,
- 24:38Speaker 1: this is a lot of fun. But now we've got
- 24:40Speaker 1: to hit the road in our new fully electric Hyundai
- 24:43Speaker 1: Ionic five. Boys, are you ready? And Bobby, let's do this.
- 24:49Speaker 1: Let's do it. JT. We're gonna buckle up, put our
- 24:51Speaker 1: hands on the wheel. I'm gonna drive. Okay, I'm the safest.
- 24:55Speaker 1: That's a smart move, Bob, backseat probably, oh yeah, back
- 24:59Speaker 1: seat on the man. I like to lay down. We
- 25:00Speaker 1: can do Okay, yeah, we'll switch it one of the
- 25:03Speaker 1: many stops deal. Follow the Benn and Ashley I Almost
