  SPEAKER_00: I I think we've called this, you know, the Holy Spirit your best friend or enjoying the Holy Spirit or something.

  SPEAKER_00: Because I want to get into something this morning.

  SPEAKER_00: And and and you know, this idea of who we are in Christ, this union with Him and His Spirit with us and and Him abiding in us and all that stuff.

  SPEAKER_00: I I I pray that we can we can see it this morning in a way that goes beyond maybe how we've seen it before, maybe goes beyond an idea that you're trying to talk yourself into, or an idea that you're always trying to remind yourself of, an idea that's kind of foreign, but you're trying to trying to move into this.

  SPEAKER_00: We want to want to show, I want to show you how this thing works.

  SPEAKER_00: I want to show you how your salvation works and really what really is going on here, what really is happening between the in this relationship between God and man.

  SPEAKER_00: And so as we get into this, I want to start by, first of all, by looking at the book of John, chapter 1.

  SPEAKER_00: And uh I want to spend the first few minutes explaining what really happens when the heart turns to the Lord.

  SPEAKER_00: What really happens when you believe in Jesus and receive Him?
• 1:27
  SPEAKER_00: What really happens in the born-again experience?
• 1:31
  SPEAKER_00: What has really happened to make you a new creation in Christ?
• 1:39
  SPEAKER_00: And we want to see this as something that's more than a nice, pretty title.

  SPEAKER_00: I'm a New Creation.
• 1:46
  SPEAKER_00: But see how powerful, nuclear this thing really is.
• 1:52
  SPEAKER_00: So, first of all, and so bear with me as I lay this out, because the purpose of explaining this is to make this whole thing simple to us.

  SPEAKER_00: So you can enjoy living with God every day and enjoy all the benefits of Him being with you every day.

  SPEAKER_00: Um, John chapter 1, verse 4.

  SPEAKER_00: Speaking of Jesus, right?
• 2:20
  SPEAKER_00: In him was life.
• 2:22
  SPEAKER_00: And the life was the light of men, the light of men.
• 2:27
  SPEAKER_00: In him was life.
• 2:29
  SPEAKER_00: Now, you know, I'm gonna skip some verses here because I got a mouthful to say, but we're talking about Jesus, and of course we know that it says, in the beginning he was.

  SPEAKER_00: In the beginning was the word, the word was with God, the word was God, the same was in the beginning with God.

  SPEAKER_00: All things were created by him, without him there's nothing made that that was made.

  SPEAKER_00: And here in verse 4 it says, In him was life, and and and that life was the light of men.

  SPEAKER_00: The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it, or comprehends it not, or does not attain it, did not embrace it, did not get it.

  SPEAKER_00: We go down to verse 9.
• 3:05
  SPEAKER_00: He was the true light, which gives light to every man coming into the world.

  SPEAKER_00: Now, that's a verse that I've kind of like uh tripped over just a little bit, and I thought, because there says something there that makes me think.

  SPEAKER_00: And I've heard people that will use this verse to argue for something that um I cannot embrace for because of all other scriptures.

  SPEAKER_00: But it does say that Jesus is that true light, and it does say that he gives that light to every man coming into the world, or that comes into the world.

  SPEAKER_00: So I'm thinking, so as every man that comes into the world, do they have that light in them?

  SPEAKER_00: Well, yes and no.
• 3:55
  SPEAKER_00: Let's keep looking.

  SPEAKER_00: Verse 12.
• 3:58
  SPEAKER_00: But as many as received him, to them he gave the right or the power, the privilege to become children of God to those who believe in his name.

  SPEAKER_00: Now, let's look at some things that Paul said.

  SPEAKER_00: This is one I like to quote a lot in Colossians chapter 1, verse 26.

  SPEAKER_00: He says, the mystery, or that word is a secret, the mystery, the secret that has been hidden from the ages.

  SPEAKER_00: That word hidden means covered or veiled.
• 4:35
  SPEAKER_00: So there is a secret.
• 4:36
  SPEAKER_00: There is a something that has been hidden, covered up.
• 4:40
  SPEAKER_00: It's been veiled from the ages and from generations, but now has been unveiled or revealed to his saints.
• 4:49
  SPEAKER_00: Saints are the believers.
• 4:52
  SPEAKER_00: It's been revealed to the believers, to the saints, unveiled.
• 4:55
  SPEAKER_00: There was something veiled, covered up, but it's been unveiled, revealed to his saints, the believers.

  SPEAKER_00: To them, God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles.

  SPEAKER_00: He wanted to make known the riches, the riches, the riches.
• 5:11
  SPEAKER_00: Now think about what we're going into this morning, what we're looking at.

  SPEAKER_00: We're talking about riches here.
• 5:17
  SPEAKER_00: I mean real, real life, day-to-day life riches.
• 5:23
  SPEAKER_00: Wealth abundance in life and abundance of life.
• 5:27
  SPEAKER_00: We're talking about a salvation that is so great.
• 5:30
  SPEAKER_00: We're talking about something, a relationship, something with God here that is so big, that is so wealthy, so abundant.

  SPEAKER_00: The riches of the glory of this mystery, this secret.
• 5:43
  SPEAKER_00: There's this secret, and there's so much riches, wealth, abundance.
• 5:46
  SPEAKER_00: There's such glory in this thing.
• 5:49
  SPEAKER_00: We're not talking about Jesus coming starting a new religion.
• 5:52
  SPEAKER_00: We're talking about a glory, something revealed that has been hidden from all the ages.

  SPEAKER_00: This secret, this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you.

  SPEAKER_00: The hope, the hope of glory.

  SPEAKER_00: Now watch this.
• 6:07
  SPEAKER_00: So first he says in John, John says, he has given this light to every man that comes into the world.

  SPEAKER_00: And Paul says, there's a secret that's been hidden.
• 6:19
  SPEAKER_00: It is that light.
• 6:20
  SPEAKER_00: Or let me say, it's that, it's that Christ in you, because he's the light.
• 6:24
  SPEAKER_00: John said he's that light that gives light to every man coming into the world.
• 6:29
  SPEAKER_00: And Paul says that light or Christ in you is a mystery that's been veiled from the ages, but it's a secret that's unveiled.

  SPEAKER_00: And it's Christ in you, the hope of glory.
• 6:48
  SPEAKER_00: Now get a picture with me as I read one more verse here that Paul spoke in Galatians chapter 1.

  SPEAKER_00: Verse 15.

  SPEAKER_00: But when it pleased God, now this is Paul talking about his life and how he once, you know, used to do all the things that he did, but he had a conversion, right?

  SPEAKER_00: Verse 15.

  SPEAKER_00: But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb and called me through his grace to reveal his son in me, to unveil his son in me.

  SPEAKER_00: Now, when you something that's unveiled or revealed or uncovered is not something that pops into existence there.

  SPEAKER_00: It is something that has been there, but it becomes uncovered.
• 7:34
  SPEAKER_00: Okay?
• 7:35
  SPEAKER_00: So what he's saying is the Son in me or Christ in me or the light that's in me that comes into every man, it was covered, it was veiled, he says, but he revealed, he unveiled Christ in me, so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, and I immediately did not confer with flesh and blood when this happened.

  SPEAKER_00: Now bear with me.

  SPEAKER_00: Hang on.

  SPEAKER_00: Go with me to Matthew 6.

  SPEAKER_00: And as we look at Matthew 6, remember this picture, and I use it often.

  SPEAKER_00: There is, we are a three-part man.
• 8:13
  SPEAKER_00: Spirit, soul, body.
• 8:15
  SPEAKER_00: Right?
• 8:16
  SPEAKER_00: When you when you we have this picture of the tabernacle from the Old Testament that's referred to very, very often.
• 8:23
  SPEAKER_00: It's that picture really, when you're talking about unveiling, we think of the tabernacle because the tabernacle had an outer court.
• 8:33
  SPEAKER_00: It had an inner court, and so that would signify the outer court where I'm at here on the platform here, maybe the inner court.

  SPEAKER_00: And then, of course, beyond the veil there was the holy of holies, where God dwells.
• 8:46
  SPEAKER_00: Right?
• 8:47
  SPEAKER_00: Where God dwells.
• 8:48
  SPEAKER_00: That was that that was that picture that we had all the way from the days of Moses and on.
• 8:52
  SPEAKER_00: We had we we had outer court, the body of man, the inner court, the soul, the heart, the inner man, and the holy of holies, where God dwells, that place where light was given to man, but it was veiled, covered up, and it had been veiled ever since Adam and Eve, and man was lost.

  SPEAKER_00: See, when a person gets born again and we receive Jesus into our heart, what really happens?

  SPEAKER_00: Does when when when you when you when you receive Jesus, does Jesus jump off of a cloud and jump into your chest?

  SPEAKER_00: No, he comes into your your your heart, your your soul becomes alive, he becomes one with you.

  SPEAKER_00: How does that happen?
• 9:35
  SPEAKER_00: Because the Bible says in 2 Corinthians chapter 3 that when the heart turns to the Lord, the veil is removed.

  SPEAKER_00: He says right before that, he says, Nevertheless, to this day, when Moses, which were the only scriptures they had in that day, uh the Old Testament, or the law, excuse me, but he's talking about the law.

  SPEAKER_00: He says, when Moses is read, he said, a veil still lies upon their what?
• 9:58
  SPEAKER_00: Their heart.
• 9:59
  SPEAKER_00: So there's still a veil there.
• 10:00
  SPEAKER_00: Now, so what that veil did, so go all the way back to Adam and Eve.
• 10:05
  SPEAKER_00: And what happens is that we've got the tree of life, and God is our life, and we've got the knowledge of good and evil, which is flesh and sensual knowledge.

  SPEAKER_00: And I've talked about this before.
• 10:16
  SPEAKER_00: And what happened was that man went the way of sensual knowledge, sensory knowledge, and so we so we became led rather than the spirit of God, because those that are led by the spirit are the sons of God.

  SPEAKER_00: But rather than being led by the Spirit of God, we became began, we we were led by our flesh, by ourselves, by our natural senses, right?
• 10:37
  SPEAKER_00: And so that's why man to this day lives according to the sensory realm.

  SPEAKER_00: And what happens is he lives the soul.
• 10:45
  SPEAKER_00: You've got a soul inside you.
• 10:47
  SPEAKER_00: You've got this soul, which is really the human spirit.
• 10:49
  SPEAKER_00: It's the, it's, it's, it's, it would be what if if if you would call it spirit, it would be the spirit of man.

  SPEAKER_00: And it is spirit because it's not physical.
• 10:58
  SPEAKER_00: But the soul in itself is not the Holy Spirit.

  SPEAKER_00: The soul in itself is not Christ.
• 11:03
  SPEAKER_00: It's you.
• 11:05
  SPEAKER_00: It's your it's you, the, the, the living, the living being.
• 11:10
  SPEAKER_00: And so what happens is you've got a brain that feeds information, interprets, that brain receives and interprets information, and you you have a consciousness.

  SPEAKER_00: Now, I'm not trying to get real too deep into all that kind of stuff, but but uh, but I want you to know, and I'll show you why we I want you to understand what happens in the new creation.

  SPEAKER_00: What happens in this relationship?
• 11:39
  SPEAKER_00: Here you are, a soul.
• 11:42
  SPEAKER_00: We turned away from him who is life.
• 11:46
  SPEAKER_00: We instead of eating of the tree of life, we chose that way.
• 11:49
  SPEAKER_00: So this soul, which is a consciousness, we are the observer of our thoughts.
• 11:54
  SPEAKER_00: This is why, you know, even psychology knows they say we are the we are the we are a being that's amazing because we actually can have a consciousness and awareness that we're thinking.

  SPEAKER_00: We can actually think that we are thinking.
• 12:09
  SPEAKER_00: And not just being instinctual.
• 12:11
  SPEAKER_00: We have something else inside of us that God put in us that's that's that made us more uh divine uh in that sense.

  SPEAKER_00: But without the life of God, without the knowledge of God, all we have is our self, which is tied to our senses, our physical life, our physical being.

  SPEAKER_00: And that's why, ever since that time, mankind has made his life, mankind that hasn't known God, has made his life about this out here, about things.

  SPEAKER_00: Remember, Jesus said, now you don't have to be anxious about what you're gonna eat, what you're gonna wear.

  SPEAKER_00: We made it about breathing every day.
• 12:57
  SPEAKER_00: What's life really come down to when you really get down to it?
• 13:00
  SPEAKER_00: It's having enough oxygen, enough food, and enough water.
• 13:04
  SPEAKER_00: Long as you've got that, you've got existence.
• 13:07
  SPEAKER_00: So every day we consume food.
• 13:09
  SPEAKER_00: Jesus said, Is life not more than food?
• 13:14
  SPEAKER_00: But when you break it down, we may do all kinds of activity, but Jesus said, Listen, I came to give you life.
• 13:20
  SPEAKER_00: Now, we were already existing, we were already living out here in this realm, but he came to give us life, and he came to give us abundance of life that comes from him.

  SPEAKER_00: Now, when the heart turns to the Lord, the veil is removed and we behold the glory of God.
• 13:34
  SPEAKER_00: We're not just here and lost into this world.
• 13:36
  SPEAKER_00: This is where things are hopeless because this world is too big and it's too bad, and we're stressed out here, and we were never created.
• 13:43
  SPEAKER_00: This body and mind, it were never created to deal with stress.
• 13:49
  SPEAKER_00: It was never supposed to be.
• 13:50
  SPEAKER_00: That's why we're so bad at it.
• 13:55
  SPEAKER_00: I mean, it'll just affect this body so hard so immediately, the mind.

  SPEAKER_00: People are living in depression, oppression, suicidal thoughts, darkness of life.

  SPEAKER_00: People, you would, I don't know if you're aware of it.
• 14:08
  SPEAKER_00: Maybe you are, but it's sad that so many people just just trudge along day to day in a in a darkness, trying to make the best of life.

  SPEAKER_00: And some of them are and many of us are so used to it that it's just it's okay.
• 14:26
  SPEAKER_00: That's just what life is.
• 14:31
  SPEAKER_00: And our soul, because it wasn't aware of God, wasn't aware of life because of the veil that was put there by our flesh from the beginning, did not know the ways of God.

  SPEAKER_00: No man had seen God at any time.
• 14:48
  SPEAKER_00: But the Son, who's in the Father, has what did it say, has revealed him, unveiled him.
• 14:57
  SPEAKER_00: That's why receiving, believing in the one that he sent, believing in the Son, receiving him, says when the heart turns to the Lord, the veil is removed, and we behold the glory of the Lord, and it's like looking in a mirror.

  SPEAKER_00: Now, the reason is because it's like looking in a mirror.

  SPEAKER_00: Because what happens, picture it this way you've got God in his holy of holies.
• 15:19
  SPEAKER_00: Deep in the recesses of man, there's this light.
• 15:24
  SPEAKER_00: But Jesus said something about that light here in Matthew chapter 6.

  SPEAKER_00: Look at Matthew 6, verse 22.

  SPEAKER_00: He said, The light of the body is the eye.
• 15:34
  SPEAKER_00: Now, the eye is optimum almost, but it's it's also it's it's figure, it means it means the seeing or the or the or the vision.

  SPEAKER_00: The light of the body is the eye.
• 15:44
  SPEAKER_00: Now, within the man, the soul of man is where the perception is.
• 15:51
  SPEAKER_00: That's where this is where we decide what we're going to do with the brain's information.

  SPEAKER_00: The brain is not the soul.
• 15:58
  SPEAKER_00: The brain is a piece of a piece of the body.
• 16:01
  SPEAKER_00: If the body dies and turns to dust, the brain becomes dust just like the arms and the legs and everything else.

  SPEAKER_00: The heart and everything the lungs.
• 16:09
  SPEAKER_00: It's flesh, it's meat, it's a part piece of the body.

  SPEAKER_00: The brain is not the soul, the soul is invisible.
• 16:15
  SPEAKER_00: The soul makes its own choices according to the information and the interpretation of the brain.

  SPEAKER_00: The soul does the best that it can in this survival mode of life.

  SPEAKER_00: But he says, but the light of the body is the eye, it's the inner man.

  SPEAKER_00: And if therefore your eye is single, you ever notice that word?
• 16:37
  SPEAKER_00: That always I always thought, why did he say that?
• 16:39
  SPEAKER_00: That King James word, single, and I look it up.
• 16:42
  SPEAKER_00: Surely it means something else.
• 16:43
  SPEAKER_00: And no, it means single, but it means single in this way.
• 16:46
  SPEAKER_00: You look it up, and it's and it's a word that means it means made single.
• 16:50
  SPEAKER_00: It means single as folded together, is what it'll say.
• 16:53
  SPEAKER_00: It means folded together or braided together or entwined.
• 16:57
  SPEAKER_00: So look, we have this inner man.
• 16:59
  SPEAKER_00: We have a soul, but there's a light of God that's closed off, if you will.

  SPEAKER_00: So God is separate.
• 17:09
  SPEAKER_00: This is why everybody feels God is far away.
• 17:14
  SPEAKER_00: There's a separation there, a veil, right?
• 17:18
  SPEAKER_00: So there's not a singularity here.

  SPEAKER_00: But if the eye is folded together or entwined, if the veil is removed and the two become one, which is what the Bible says, he that is joined to the Lord is one spirit, not two.

  SPEAKER_00: So now your vision, now your ability to see is not just a soul that's in tune with the flesh.
• 17:41
  SPEAKER_00: But you have the wealth of the spirit, which has all wisdom and all understanding and all peace and all love and all joy that comes and starts flooding this soul.

  SPEAKER_00: And naturally, simply by the unveiling, this is what I want you to know, simply by what Jesus did, and by how, and by you believing in that, your heart turned to him, it turned to the Lord, and the veil did get removed.

  SPEAKER_00: And and all that was in the holy of holies came into your soul.
• 18:15
  SPEAKER_00: It made you a new creation.
• 18:18
  SPEAKER_00: You are not this soul at the mercy of the information of the sensual world.
• 18:26
  SPEAKER_00: Now you are complete in Him, because all the abundance of Him who is everything, all His goodness, all His glory, all His love, all His wealth of knowledge, information, your counsel you need, it's all here now.

  SPEAKER_00: We're not without any of it because the veil has been removed.
• 18:46
  SPEAKER_00: And He says, and if your eye is single, if this has happened to you, the whole being is full of light.

  SPEAKER_00: But if the eye is not, that King Jones uses that word, that word, that, that word evil, it's a different word.

  SPEAKER_00: Look it up.
• 19:04
  SPEAKER_00: There are three words that could be used for that word evil.
• 19:06
  SPEAKER_00: There are some that mean despicable and and and and uh abominable and all that.
• 19:11
  SPEAKER_00: This one is not that.

  SPEAKER_00: This one means, uh, in fact, let me look it up here.
• 19:14
  SPEAKER_00: It means harmful, it means grievous, calamitous.
• 19:21
  SPEAKER_00: If the eye is an eye that is that is seeing grief and calamity and problems and trouble, which is what you're going to have in this world.

  SPEAKER_00: Jesus said, in this world there is tribulation.
• 19:35
  SPEAKER_00: So you notice that when you're carnal, when you feel that people are so alone.
• 19:43
  SPEAKER_00: People are so desperate at times because everything's upon them.
• 19:49
  SPEAKER_00: It's them, their brain, and working with all this out here.
• 19:56
  SPEAKER_00: And he says, and so if your eye is not together here, then it's grievous, it's hurtful, it's calamitous.

  SPEAKER_00: And what happens?

  SPEAKER_00: Then you have bad thoughts that overwhelm you.
• 20:10
  SPEAKER_00: Then you're at the mercy of situations.
• 20:13
  SPEAKER_00: How are you doing?
• 20:13
  SPEAKER_00: Well, under the circumstances, then there are problems that you can't overcome, so you blame.

  SPEAKER_00: We see that in the Garden of Eden.
• 20:24
  SPEAKER_00: First thing they do is start blaming each other, right?
• 20:27
  SPEAKER_00: Now we have excuses and reasons, and there's too many reasons that we can't have joy, we can't overcome, and we can't have we can't be be well, and we can't because we don't see the source of everything that that we have.

  SPEAKER_00: Now, I said all that to say this.

  SPEAKER_00: I want you to get a picture of fullness here.
• 20:51
  SPEAKER_00: That something happened to you as a new creation.
• 20:54
  SPEAKER_00: And I want to show you how easy and how free-flowing this is and how it doesn't really need you to work.

  SPEAKER_00: God has made this so good.
• 21:06
  SPEAKER_00: Not only did He did He do the covenant with Himself, so we can't even break it, took care of the initiating thing, but He fulfilled everything else in Himself.

  SPEAKER_00: And simply by their unveiling that's in Jesus, He comes into the soul.
• 21:22
  SPEAKER_00: He starts feeding the soul.
• 21:25
  SPEAKER_00: We're not going in there, we're not going into the Holy of Holies trying to get God and trying to find God.

  SPEAKER_00: That veil got removed, and whatever was in there, it came into your soul area.
• 21:37
  SPEAKER_00: Now you've got this wealth of abundance.
• 21:40
  SPEAKER_00: Now you've got a wealth of love and joy.
• 21:42
  SPEAKER_00: Now, what does the Bible say?
• 21:44
  SPEAKER_00: You know, first of all, Philemons verse 6 says that our faith becomes effective by acknowledging every good thing that's in you.

  SPEAKER_00: First of all, acknowledging I don't have a veil.
• 21:56
  SPEAKER_00: Me and God are one because the flood came out of there.

  SPEAKER_00: And so it changed everything about this.
• 22:04
  SPEAKER_00: This is why, when the heart turns to the Lord and when you become a new creation, you start thinking new kinds of thoughts.

  SPEAKER_00: You start believing things that you didn't believe before.

  SPEAKER_00: You started having power over things that you didn't have power over before.

  SPEAKER_00: You started seeing things that were inconceivable when all you had was your carnal mind to interpret this thing with.

  SPEAKER_00: Now you've got the eternal mind.
• 22:31
  SPEAKER_00: No wonder the Bible says we have the mind of Christ because all of this became one with this.

  SPEAKER_00: Are y'all seeing this?

  SPEAKER_00: So I'm not Rick now trying to make contact here.

  SPEAKER_00: I'm not Rick still trying to find my way.

  SPEAKER_00: I'm not Rick trying to plead or appease.

  SPEAKER_00: I'm not Rick trying to do anything with God.

  SPEAKER_00: God is doing everything with me.

  SPEAKER_00: My Bible says it's God working in me.

  SPEAKER_00: He's causing me to even will his good pleasure.

  SPEAKER_00: Because I had no will for his good pleasure at one time.

  SPEAKER_00: Couldn't make myself will.

  SPEAKER_00: Because the more, the more that this is has has flooded your soul, the more of his abundance and information, his counsel, his everything he is, he is the best friend.

  SPEAKER_00: In fact, one of the things that he's doing, the Bible says, is that he was given to us freely so we can know all the things that have been freely given to us.

  SPEAKER_00: This, this, this, this, this boy who was who had a soul that was alone with his brain, and I'd taken in lots of damaging information, and had interpreted the information as a world and a life that was ugly and pretty much hopeless.

  SPEAKER_00: So as a very young man, I'm sleeping under bridges, living for nothing but but but but but but whatever high I can get that day, totally wanting to check out of life, but being too scared to kill myself, so I checked out socially and mentally, and I stayed in a fog of of drugs and alcohol and just I prompt.

  SPEAKER_00: Can you imagine that I once lived?

  SPEAKER_00: I would wake up every day and just live to be as high as I could that day.

  SPEAKER_00: And the whole time there was Jesus.

  SPEAKER_00: The soul that couldn't find love from the places that it wanted it most.

  SPEAKER_00: All I knew, the only peace I could get was to stay in a fog.

  SPEAKER_00: When the veil's removed and the heart turns to the Lord, the veil is removed, and we behold the glory of God.

  SPEAKER_00: Identity starts to come to light, and we see ourselves, and we're transformed.
