- 0:33Speaker 1: Candice Lopez is here, Producer Pooh is here. My allergies
- 0:37Speaker 1: or something is all messed up.
- 0:38Speaker 3: So I was gonna say a tissue.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Yes, I need a tissue. I need some niquill day quill.
- 0:45Speaker 4: Also probably need a medicine ball, because didn't Pooh have
- 0:48Speaker 4: a medicine ball.
- 0:48Speaker 3: The other day and he's just fine?
- 0:50Speaker 1: Isn't that convenient that Pooh came in the other day
- 0:53Speaker 1: all medicine balled up, said he wasn't sick, and then
- 0:56Speaker 1: two days later, well.
- 0:58Speaker 5: I'm stuffed up. I do the preventative, you know, really
- 1:02Speaker 5: in a medicine bottle on.
- 1:03Speaker 3: St what you sound a little stuffy too. I didn't
- 1:05Speaker 3: get away from y'all.
- 1:07Speaker 5: What yeah, just to make sure because everybody else in
- 1:10Speaker 5: the office was like sneezing and stuff like that.
- 1:12Speaker 1: I didn't want to get sick, said Oh, okay, yeah,
- 1:15Speaker 1: I think he was already sick. No, don't you hate
- 1:17Speaker 1: people like that that say they're not sick but they're sick.
- 1:19Speaker 1: I admit if I'm sick. Y'all know, I'll tell you
- 1:21Speaker 1: if I'm sick, but sick. You never admitted you're sick.
- 1:24Speaker 1: All you say is that I don't know what's going on.
- 1:26Speaker 1: I think it's something that it must be dusty in here.
- 1:29Speaker 3: You clean the carpets.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Yes, I said, my allergies. That's it.
- 1:33Speaker 4: They will both just have allergies because I'm okay for now,
- 1:36Speaker 4: not on wood.
- 1:38Speaker 1: What else is going on? Canni?
- 1:39Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, I'm here.
- 1:41Speaker 4: I just had a situation yesterday where I was just
- 1:43Speaker 4: very humble by like life and my age, and when
- 1:46Speaker 4: I were.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Riding bikes and there.
- 1:48Speaker 4: Was this this cop walking down the street and.
- 1:50Speaker 3: I was like, what the heck? And he's asking us
- 1:52Speaker 3: where we lived.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Light died out.
- 1:53Speaker 4: Clearly he was on, you know, an investigation. He's a detective,
- 1:56Speaker 4: I later figured out. But we were talking and then
- 1:59Speaker 4: it later occur to both of us that he used
- 2:01Speaker 4: to date my sister in law sister when he was
- 2:04Speaker 4: in high school.
- 2:05Speaker 3: And they're all, you know, a lot younger than us.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Let me do, let me do the math. He used
- 2:09Speaker 1: to date the cop, used to date your sister in law.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Sisters little sister in high school.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Okay, which is back in.
- 2:16Speaker 3: The day day right. So he was a teenager. I
- 2:18Speaker 3: was in my like.
- 2:19Speaker 4: Twenties, you know, like late twenties, and he finally was
- 2:23Speaker 4: we realized we knew each other and I hadn't seen
- 2:25Speaker 4: him since he was nineteen. He's now thirty five. And
- 2:27Speaker 4: it was just like when you haven't seen someone since
- 2:30Speaker 4: they were a teenager and then they're grown, like detective
- 2:33Speaker 4: on your street. It was such an awkward like, wow,
- 2:36Speaker 4: we're really doing.
- 2:37Speaker 3: This midlife stuff.
- 2:38Speaker 1: What was he investigating?
- 2:39Speaker 4: He was investigating a potential confrontation that had happened in
- 2:44Speaker 4: the neighborhood. I think, like, I don't know something something,
- 2:47Speaker 4: Probably I don't know. He didn't give me all the details.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Did you get cleared? Yeah?
- 2:50Speaker 3: I got cleared.
- 2:51Speaker 4: I didn't have any information to help him with his investigation, unfortunately, but.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Inza was into it. Anza was like.
- 2:57Speaker 4: Trying to like give him tips and like things that
- 2:59Speaker 4: he saw that day, like a loud motorcycle and things
- 3:02Speaker 4: like that.
- 3:02Speaker 1: It was really for him.
- 3:03Speaker 4: Yeah, we weren't able to help him. I don't know
- 3:05Speaker 4: what he was really looking for. Some some kind of
- 3:07Speaker 4: situation happened.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Yeah, but yeah, I was like, Wow, you haven't seen
- 3:11Speaker 3: you since you were eighteen or nineteen.
- 3:12Speaker 1: And now you're thirty five getting old suck.
- 3:15Speaker 3: It's weird.
- 3:16Speaker 1: I think you're old though you're fine.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Yeah, but that's weird.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Speaking of all, producer poo is here, what's up? Yesterday?
- 3:22Speaker 5: I drove to like probably about four or five McDonald's.
- 3:25Speaker 5: Have y'all seen those those grinch adult happy meals?
- 3:28Speaker 1: They're not adults, They're not an adult. It's just a
- 3:31Speaker 1: grinch happy meal. Yeah.
- 3:33Speaker 5: When my son wanted one, I was like, why did
- 3:34Speaker 5: he want one? Then I saw the socks. We finally
- 3:37Speaker 5: found one way almost to Alan because I went to Wilie.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Garland's good dad.
- 3:43Speaker 1: They didn't have any. You know, he's a big back.
- 3:45Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't. I don't really eat McDonald's. You know,
- 3:48Speaker 5: my kids love McDonald's. I don't eat it because I
- 3:50Speaker 5: used to work there. Okay, yeah, but anyway, found that
- 3:52Speaker 5: you drove all over the.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Place four happy meals just to get some grint socks.
- 3:57Speaker 5: And I gave him to him because they were the
- 4:00Speaker 5: last one. This lady pulled up in front of us
- 4:01Speaker 5: and was in a like a mini van or whatever.
- 4:04Speaker 5: She must have got at least twenty the bad boys.
- 4:06Speaker 5: I guess the Grinch Happy Meal. They have fries, but
- 4:11Speaker 5: it comes with pickles.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Salt. Yeah, gwn salt, Grinch short McDonald's Yeah, I know,
- 4:17Speaker 1: so yeah, check that out.
- 4:18Speaker 3: But Grenk my mom would have done for me. Got
- 4:20Speaker 3: every McDonald's in the SQUI.
- 4:22Speaker 1: You know, so, I don't know how you don't. How
- 4:25Speaker 1: are they not available? Because I heard they're available everywhere.
- 4:27Speaker 1: I didn't know it was like hard to find they're everywhere. No,
- 4:30Speaker 1: I understand that. But the McDonald's we went to, they
- 4:33Speaker 1: didn't have any. They just the meals. Are the socks
- 4:36Speaker 1: the socks? Oh yeah, we were trying to get them socks. Okay, interesting,
- 4:40Speaker 1: like we ran out. I was like, how do you
- 4:41Speaker 1: run out? You McDonald's. Look, well, I will say this.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Guess who I saw yesterday? Who Sanna what?
- 4:50Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 4:52Speaker 1: I'm telling you this much. If you have not been
- 4:54Speaker 1: to Grapevine around this time of the year, it is
- 4:57Speaker 1: one of the best things you'll ever do. We're so
- 5:00Speaker 1: lucky to live by it. It's the Christmas Capital of Texas.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I'm driving down Main Street and Santa pulls up next
- 5:06Speaker 1: to me on a Harley. Whoa full blown It's on
- 5:09Speaker 1: my story at at Billy on the radio, Harley at
- 5:12Speaker 1: Billy on the radio. He's on a Harley. He's got
- 5:14Speaker 1: a bag full of toys. He's blaring Christmas music. People
- 5:18Speaker 1: are taking pictures of him. Grapevine is so nice. I
- 5:23Speaker 1: gotta go this time of the year. Oh, you gotta
- 5:25Speaker 1: take your son. Ye gotta take Endzo.
- 5:27Speaker 3: By the way, it looks so beautiful.
- 5:29Speaker 1: And there is no Grinch. So I was thinking about
- 5:31Speaker 1: dressing Pooh up as a Grinch to have him run
- 5:33Speaker 1: around tough stories on the tents with Billy's the Kid in.
- 5:41Speaker 3: The morning only on the New.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Nine is a five thousand degrees in this studio right now?
- 5:47Speaker 3: Is what is going on here?
- 5:49Speaker 1: It feels like your grandparents house. I wish you could
- 5:51Speaker 1: feel it, right, that's your sweaty. It feels like a sauna.
- 5:53Speaker 1: I don't know what's happening. Am I having a hot flash?
- 5:56Speaker 3: No, because I am too. Maybe we both are maybe.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe we are canceled. What is going on? Well?
- 6:01Speaker 4: Seventeen New families have filed a civil lawsuit against Selina
- 6:04Speaker 4: ISD and former coach AT Caleb Elliott, alleging the district
- 6:08Speaker 4: failed to stop a known predator. Attorneys representing the families,
- 6:11Speaker 4: they're calling out the line of police department, saying their
- 6:15Speaker 4: investigators stop this investigation where they wanted to and are
- 6:18Speaker 4: overlooking evidence that others may.
- 6:20Speaker 3: Have known about this.
- 6:21Speaker 4: Of course, you've probably heard about this story a while back.
- 6:24Speaker 4: It's kind of been developing over the last few weeks.
- 6:26Speaker 4: This coach, you know, was recording students in the locker
- 6:30Speaker 4: room there at the More Middle School, So they're saying
- 6:34Speaker 4: there may have been a confrontation between he and another
- 6:36Speaker 4: coach during an attempt to record. This lawsuit also alleges
- 6:40Speaker 4: the coach may have shared photos and videos of students.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Through Snapchat to who they don't know.
- 6:47Speaker 4: But at this point they're really just wanting accountability and
- 6:49Speaker 4: to know, you.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Know, who all knew this was happening.
- 6:52Speaker 4: They think there may be more like forty or more
- 6:55Speaker 4: victims involved in this.
- 6:57Speaker 3: Why why, Yeah, it's just awful.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Well, and he moved from one school to another because
- 7:01Speaker 1: of an issue, right, he had.
- 7:03Speaker 4: An inappropriate relationship with a student at the original school,
- 7:06Speaker 4: and then they say that he was moved to this
- 7:09Speaker 4: middle school without punishment because of course his father is
- 7:12Speaker 4: the athletic director of solina Id.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Okay, who ever let him move. Yes, it needs to
- 7:17Speaker 1: be fired and never worked in education again or around kids,
- 7:21Speaker 1: because at that moment, when you have an inappropriate relationship
- 7:24Speaker 1: with a minor ye and a student, you are not
- 7:28Speaker 1: allowed around kids ever again.
- 7:29Speaker 4: Absolutely not like how many people were covering this up? Yeah,
- 7:33Speaker 4: you know, and that's what they're saying, like, you've kind
- 7:35Speaker 4: of closed this investigation. Well, where's your third party investigation?
- 7:39Speaker 4: We want to see that as well. I mean, they're
- 7:41Speaker 4: asking for full transparency, as they should.
- 7:43Speaker 3: These parents should be outraged. I'm outraged just hearing this.
- 7:46Speaker 4: Yeah, and I can't imagine if your child goes to
- 7:48Speaker 4: Solina Id or is in that district.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Yeah, and by the way, every teacher who's listening right
- 7:54Speaker 1: now is just as mad, because yes, it puts a
- 7:57Speaker 1: huge negative cognitation on.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Exactly because trust is broken so badly at this point
- 8:03Speaker 4: with these families that I don't know how, I don't
- 8:05Speaker 4: know how they stay in the district, you know, and
- 8:07Speaker 4: and feel good about their kids going to school. Every day,
- 8:10Speaker 4: so we're thinking about everyone up there. I'll keep you
- 8:12Speaker 4: posted if there's any more updates. Listen to this though,
- 8:15Speaker 4: more than a million bags of shredded cheese have been
- 8:18Speaker 4: recalled for potentially containing metal fragments. The Great Lakes Cheese
- 8:22Speaker 4: Cot is the company at the center of this. I
- 8:24Speaker 4: guess they sell cheese.
- 8:26Speaker 3: I know cheese is your jam, right, I mean.
- 8:28Speaker 1: I love you this morning? Yeah you did, Yes, of
- 8:31Speaker 1: course I did. I hate pineapple and cheese. Good for you.
- 8:36Speaker 4: Yeah, but they sell cheese under various store brands at Walmart,
- 8:39Speaker 4: Target and all the uh. The FDA says this is
- 8:42Speaker 4: a class to recall, meaning consumption could cause temporary or
- 8:46Speaker 4: reversible health issues, so no serious harm is likely, but
- 8:49Speaker 4: anyone who purchased shredded cheese recently should check for the
- 8:52Speaker 4: recalled packages, throw it out, or you know, return it
- 8:55Speaker 4: for a refund. But I used shredded cheese last night
- 8:57Speaker 4: in Inenzo's Caesadia.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Now I'm like, huh, yeah, is it something I got
- 9:00Speaker 3: it at Roger though.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I think you're good. I had a cheese stick
- 9:03Speaker 1: this morning. Oh but I will just once in a
- 9:06Speaker 1: while just go into the cheese drawer that I have
- 9:08Speaker 1: at home. Yeah it does. And just take some shreded
- 9:11Speaker 1: cheese and just pour it directly into my mouth. Okay,
- 9:14Speaker 1: I would.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Too if I could eat cheese. I have the like
- 9:16Speaker 3: plant maxed cheese, and I do the same thing. Yeah,
- 9:19Speaker 3: I know.
- 9:19Speaker 4: It's just I just take I just take a little bit.
- 9:22Speaker 4: But I also do peccorino because that doesn't make my
- 9:25Speaker 4: skin break out.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Use you, what is that cheese?
- 9:28Speaker 3: It's like sheep smelt cheese.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Oh, it's so good. Sheep's milk, sheep's milk.
- 9:33Speaker 3: It's good, guys.
- 9:35Speaker 4: Travis Kelsey is going viral this morning for asking George
- 9:39Speaker 4: Clooney something about him arguing with his wife.
- 9:42Speaker 3: Listen to what he said on the podcast.
- 9:43Speaker 1: I claim that you and your wife haven't gotten a
- 9:45Speaker 1: fight in ten years. That's right, argue lying.
- 9:48Speaker 7: No, I'm not lying, Travis, I'm just asking, shall we
- 9:53Speaker 7: ask you the same questions?
- 9:55Speaker 8: Well, that's years, and you're right, I haven't gotten an
- 9:59Speaker 8: argument never once.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Honestly, you know, neither of us are going to win
- 10:03Speaker 2: the argument, So why get in it?
- 10:05Speaker 1: There? There you go. What's the secret to just staying
- 10:08Speaker 1: out of the argument all together?
- 10:09Speaker 2: Dude, I'm sixty four years old, And what am I
- 10:12Speaker 2: going to argue about it?
- 10:13Speaker 1: At this point?
- 10:14Speaker 2: I've met this incredible woman that she's beautiful and smart
- 10:18Speaker 2: and stands for all the most important things that I
- 10:21Speaker 2: believe in in the world, and I can't believe how
- 10:24Speaker 2: lucky I am.
- 10:25Speaker 7: So what am I gonna fight about?
- 10:26Speaker 1: Okay, calm down, Okay, good for him. So Travis and
- 10:30Speaker 1: Taylor Swift, he's saying, has never had an argument in
- 10:33Speaker 1: two and a half years. I would argue to say,
- 10:35Speaker 1: I would argue about arguing. Yeah, to say that that's
- 10:38Speaker 1: not healthy, Huh, what interesting? Man? I'm keeping my mouth
- 10:42Speaker 1: shut if I'm engaged Taylor.
- 10:45Speaker 3: What do they have to argue about.
- 10:47Speaker 4: They have all the money, all the resources, all the time.
- 10:49Speaker 1: There's always something to argue about.
- 10:51Speaker 4: Okay, Like she can get onto him for not taking
- 10:53Speaker 4: out the trash.
- 10:54Speaker 3: She got to staff for that.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Yeah, but there's always something to argue about. It's healthy
- 10:58Speaker 1: to have a good discussions and arguments. I don't think
- 11:01Speaker 1: it's normal to not have an argument two and a
- 11:03Speaker 1: half years. I think it's abnormal. I think it's weird.
- 11:05Speaker 1: I think it's a It makes me think that this
- 11:08Speaker 1: relationship is not based on a real foundation.
- 11:11Speaker 3: Yeah, it's hard to say because they are.
- 11:13Speaker 4: I still feel like in the honeymoon phase and this
- 11:15Speaker 4: is like on The Bachelor when you have private jets
- 11:17Speaker 4: and like fancy things and no budget.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Like two and a half years, you haven't had an
- 11:21Speaker 1: argument about anything.
- 11:22Speaker 3: I mean, Eric and I don't really argue. We have discussions,
- 11:26Speaker 3: but like that.
- 11:26Speaker 4: But that's because I'm not I don't, I can't, you
- 11:30Speaker 4: know what I mean.
- 11:30Speaker 1: I have arguments, You're not good arguments.
- 11:33Speaker 4: So I just feel like they're they're they're more like
- 11:36Speaker 4: discussions discussions. So I'm surprised that George and Travis didn't
- 11:40Speaker 4: say that.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Okay, well, you know what, you've had an argument in
- 11:43Speaker 1: two and a half years. You haven't argued with Eric
- 11:47Speaker 1: in two and a half years. You haven't had one argument.
- 11:49Speaker 3: I don't know if we've not.
- 11:50Speaker 4: Like an art like what's considered an argument? Like is
- 11:52Speaker 4: this an argument or is this a discussion?
- 11:54Speaker 1: This is not an argument?
- 11:55Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, so like this this is a discussion.
- 11:58Speaker 1: This Yeah, it's just a discussion. Yeah, you haven't had
- 12:00Speaker 1: an argument.
- 12:01Speaker 3: With you have gotten that classify it as an argument.
- 12:03Speaker 1: That's so weird to me. Yeah, you guys are too
- 12:06Speaker 1: perfecta is why I'm single.
- 12:11Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, all right, I'm trying to let's hear
- 12:13Speaker 4: your Texas top stories.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Okay, filler fake news. Let's do it right now. You
- 12:16Speaker 1: give you three headlines. You got to tell me which
- 12:18Speaker 1: one is fake. And it's just a fun way to
- 12:20Speaker 1: talk about ridiculous stories in the news. Yeah, are you ready?
- 12:24Speaker 1: Headline number one. New research says that adulthood doesn't start
- 12:29Speaker 1: until twenty eight. Okay, new research says that adulthood doesn't
- 12:34Speaker 1: start until twenty eight. Are my case? I don't know.
- 12:38Speaker 1: I'm still not an adult. I don't feel like all right.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Headline number two. Influencer gives out machetes, vodka and cigarettes
- 12:45Speaker 1: to homeless people. Influencer gives out machetes, vodka, and cigarettes
- 12:51Speaker 1: to homeless people. That is headline umber two and headline
- 12:54Speaker 1: number three. Doctors discover cigarette lighter and man's stomach after
- 12:58Speaker 1: he complains about paying. Oh, doctors discovered cigarette lighter in
- 13:04Speaker 1: man's stomach after he complains about pain. Three headlines right there.
- 13:09Speaker 1: One of those stories is fake and I made it up,
- 13:12Speaker 1: And you got to tell me which one of Candice
- 13:14Speaker 1: Lopez you want to go first?
- 13:15Speaker 4: You want to pass the Pooh, I am going to
- 13:18Speaker 4: pass today.
- 13:19Speaker 1: All right, Pooh, what do you think? Which one is fake?
- 13:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with that last story about the cigarette lighter.
- 13:24Speaker 1: I think that is fake. Yes, I think that's fake.
- 13:26Speaker 1: I think you made it up somebody. How would somebody
- 13:28Speaker 1: get a cigarette lighter in their stomach? I have no idea.
- 13:31Speaker 1: I think that's fake. Okay, and lock it in, all right,
- 13:35Speaker 1: Candae Lopez, which one do you think is fake?
- 13:38Speaker 4: I think I'm gonna go with that second story the influencer.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Oh, influencer gives al machetes vadkan cigarettes.
- 13:45Speaker 3: Way too wild to be true?
- 13:47Speaker 1: Yeah, you would hope. So unfortunately you are incorrect and Pooh,
- 13:51Speaker 1: so are you? You're both wrong? What I win? No way.
- 13:56Speaker 1: The fake study. The fake headline is new research shows
- 13:59Speaker 1: that adulthoo doesn't start till twenty eight Wow. Okay, matter
- 14:03Speaker 1: of fact, the real numbers thirty two. They say you
- 14:07Speaker 1: are not really reached adulthood until thirty two years old.
- 14:11Speaker 3: I agree with that, honestly.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Come on, yeah, come on.
- 14:14Speaker 4: I mean it's different for everybody because we all live
- 14:16Speaker 4: different paths and journeys, But I mean for me, I
- 14:19Speaker 4: feel like that was true.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe I don't know. I mean, I definitely don't
- 14:22Speaker 1: think at your job, but I definitely don't feel like
- 14:24Speaker 1: I was an adult at eighteen. No, you know, when
- 14:26Speaker 1: you turn eighteen, you're an adult. Now, No you're not.
- 14:29Speaker 1: I know, matter of fact, you're right. I still don't
- 14:31Speaker 1: feel like I'm an adult. So whatever. But yeah, they
- 14:33Speaker 1: say thirty two is when you technically reach adulthood.
- 14:37Speaker 6: Wow.
- 14:37Speaker 1: As far as brain development, yeah, whatever that means. Okay,
- 14:40Speaker 1: and then the other stories. This story just made me
- 14:42Speaker 1: so angry when I read it. I was like, and
- 14:45Speaker 1: I actually saw it on Instagram and I saw the
- 14:46Speaker 1: guy doing it, and I just refuse to click on
- 14:48Speaker 1: his page. Yeah, because I don't want to give him
- 14:50Speaker 1: the views. But this influencer, I mean, some people are
- 14:53Speaker 1: laughing at what he's doing. I think it's horrendous. He's
- 14:56Speaker 1: going around to big cities in Texas too, including he
- 15:00Speaker 1: in Austin, and his name is Keith Castillo and he
- 15:03Speaker 1: is giving away machetes, alcohol, and cigarettes to homeless people.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Wow.
- 15:09Speaker 1: I mean obviously just doing it for the clicks.
- 15:11Speaker 3: Yeah, of course.
- 15:11Speaker 1: You know he's got like a bucket of cigarettes. He's like,
- 15:14Speaker 1: you want a machete here, you go stop. You know,
- 15:16Speaker 1: if you need to do this, yep, for clicks, you're
- 15:19Speaker 1: a low life. Yeah, because these people are struggling right now,
- 15:23Speaker 1: and the fact of the matter is, yeah, if it's free,
- 15:26Speaker 1: they're going to take it because they're in a state
- 15:28Speaker 1: of life where it's not good and they need things
- 15:31Speaker 1: and it's not You're exposing them and you're taking advantage
- 15:34Speaker 1: of them, and it's sick. It makes me sick to
- 15:37Speaker 1: my stomach to see that. Yeah, one day, Keith, you're
- 15:40Speaker 1: gonna look back and he doesn't even look like a
- 15:42Speaker 1: young guy, looks like he's you know, I don't know,
- 15:44Speaker 1: in his thirties. I don't know how old he is.
- 15:46Speaker 1: I don't want to say his page, yeah I don't.
- 15:48Speaker 1: But the bottom line is is like, that's sick. You know,
- 15:50Speaker 1: if you have to do this to get clicks, you're
- 15:53Speaker 1: not a content creator. No, you're just a loser.
- 15:55Speaker 3: You're exploiting people.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Why don't you give them food?
- 15:58Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 15:58Speaker 1: Why don't you build a shelter for the do something
- 16:01Speaker 1: productive like so many other people do.
- 16:02Speaker 3: I shot you out for that, for sure.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I would absolutely. Instead, you're doing this just to
- 16:07Speaker 1: get clicks, Okay, Now this story is crazy to me.
- 16:11Speaker 1: This guy felt some stomach pain. He's like, yeah, I
- 16:14Speaker 1: don't know what's going on, but I better go to
- 16:16Speaker 1: the doctor. So a sixty seven year old had experienced
- 16:19Speaker 1: stomach pain for a long time. He just kept shrugging
- 16:21Speaker 1: it off. Is nothing more than just you know, I
- 16:22Speaker 1: don't know, some kind of stomach issue. Sure, he goes
- 16:25Speaker 1: until the pain just becomes unbearable. He could even lie down.
- 16:28Speaker 1: So he goes to the doctor. They have an emergency
- 16:31Speaker 1: you know, procedure to see what's going on. When they
- 16:33Speaker 1: did an MRI or X ray or whatever, they saw
- 16:35Speaker 1: something in there. Turns out it was a cigarette lighter.
- 16:40Speaker 1: A cigarette lighter in his stomach. He's like, I have
- 16:43Speaker 1: no idea wait a minute. Then he realized in the
- 16:46Speaker 1: nineties what he had a night of crazy drinking, and
- 16:50Speaker 1: he said, on a dare he swallowed a lighter?
- 16:53Speaker 3: So are you now causing him issues?
- 16:56Speaker 1: Yes? Yes, what it had been in there, they're saying
- 17:00Speaker 1: for like thirty years in his stomach, a cigarette lighter.
- 17:05Speaker 1: So they go in to get it out. They're like,
- 17:08Speaker 1: what are you doing. He's like, yeah, I guess I
- 17:10Speaker 1: swallowed it as a dare and I forgot about it,
- 17:12Speaker 1: and I thought it had already passed through.
- 17:16Speaker 3: That passing through you would you never know. It clearly
- 17:19Speaker 3: didn't pass through.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Either way, it didn't and they had to take it out.
- 17:23Speaker 1: The crazy part about this is it still worked. Yes,
- 17:28Speaker 1: I swear to you there was still utaining it or whatever,
- 17:33Speaker 1: and the doctors showed it working. Can you even believe that? No? Yeah,
- 17:38Speaker 1: so there you go.
- 17:39Speaker 3: That's insane.
- 17:41Speaker 1: I don't know. Pooh, what if we swallowed? Over the years,
- 17:43Speaker 1: If you've ever accidentally swallowed something, please let me know.
- 17:46Speaker 1: I swallow marble one time. He did this before we
- 17:49Speaker 1: talked about what if you accidentally swallowed? Call up? And
- 17:52Speaker 1: people called up the craziest thing, how did you swallow?
- 17:55Speaker 1: On marble?
- 17:56Speaker 5: Us sitting up there playing because my cousin got some
- 17:58Speaker 5: job breakers and I didn't get any, and so I
- 18:00Speaker 5: was like, oh I got some job breakers too, and
- 18:02Speaker 5: they were marvels.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Sad part this is sad part about this is Cannis.
- 18:07Speaker 1: This was last year.
- 18:11Speaker 3: Get it off your chest to promise you'll feel better.
- 18:14Speaker 3: Welcome to the Dirty Little Secret mixed.
- 18:16Speaker 1: One or two point nine. Let's go our dirty little secret.
- 18:18Speaker 1: It's Bailly the kid Cannis Lopez is here and if
- 18:21Speaker 1: you have one, reach out anytime you want tell us
- 18:23Speaker 1: that secret. Confess. It'll make you feel better. I don't
- 18:26Speaker 1: care what it is. And yeah, just reach out to
- 18:28Speaker 1: a billy on the radio on Instagram or call us
- 18:30Speaker 1: at eight three three seven, eight seven and one o
- 18:32Speaker 1: two nine. You have a dirty little secret?
- 18:35Speaker 9: Okay. So I know it's wrong and I know it's
- 18:37Speaker 9: kind of weird, but I can't stop doing it. Uh Oh,
- 18:40Speaker 9: every time I talk to someone like coworkers, friends, even
- 18:44Speaker 9: my own sister, I hit the record button on my
- 18:46Speaker 9: phone before the conversation even starts.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Wait do you record? Okay, let me get this right.
- 18:54Speaker 1: You record everyone's conversations that you're you're talking to.
- 18:59Speaker 9: Yeah, I keep it hidden in my pocket or my purse,
- 19:02Speaker 9: like as a little secret insurance policy.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Why in the world do you do this? So you
- 19:07Speaker 1: record all the conversations you have with people? For what
- 19:11Speaker 1: you paranoid?
- 19:14Speaker 9: Well, I kind of tell myself that people like twist
- 19:16Speaker 9: things and forget things and lie without realizing they're lying.
- 19:20Speaker 9: But you kind of think it might be me.
- 19:22Speaker 1: No, I think you're right. I think it's demly you.
- 19:24Speaker 4: So you say you have to go back and listen
- 19:27Speaker 4: to all of this to figure out if someone was
- 19:29Speaker 4: lying about something.
- 19:30Speaker 1: So I'm right, well, that's the thing.
- 19:32Speaker 9: Like I just don't think I trust anybody anymore. And
- 19:34Speaker 9: like the worst thing is, I don't even listen to
- 19:36Speaker 9: the recordings, like I just saved them and label them
- 19:39Speaker 9: and archive them like memories because I don't trust my
- 19:41Speaker 9: own brain to hold them.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Oh wow, wow, this is a this is different, so heavy.
- 19:47Speaker 1: But I yeah, but I also well, I always try
- 19:50Speaker 1: to put myself in the shoes of somebody who has
- 19:52Speaker 1: this dirty little secret to me. You've obviously have I
- 19:56Speaker 1: don't want to say you've had you've been burned, but
- 19:58Speaker 1: it sounds like you've been burned before in the past
- 20:00Speaker 1: by friends or whoever. There you go. So if you've
- 20:04Speaker 1: been burned and you don't trust anybody, I get why
- 20:06Speaker 1: you would do this in a weird way. I get like, hey,
- 20:08Speaker 1: I'm just going to record the conversation and if you
- 20:10Speaker 1: say some weird but obviously they don't know you're recording
- 20:13Speaker 1: the conversations.
- 20:14Speaker 9: No they don't.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Is this legal? Not really.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Legal?
- 20:19Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sure listen, it doesn't matter whatever.
- 20:22Speaker 9: So you're doing it.
- 20:25Speaker 1: So let's say you let's say you're having a conversation
- 20:28Speaker 1: with your you said your sister. Let's say you're having
- 20:30Speaker 1: a conversation with your sister. Before you do do you
- 20:33Speaker 1: do it on voice notes or whatever. You just hit
- 20:35Speaker 1: recording and you kind of put the phone down and
- 20:36Speaker 1: there you go.
- 20:37Speaker 9: Yeah, I do. I just put it in my pocket
- 20:40Speaker 9: or in my purse and just it's like automatic.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Now. Yeah, it's like almost a habit, like it just
- 20:45Speaker 1: it's natural to you that you just do it.
- 20:47Speaker 3: Yeah, and customer service.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, this call might be recorded. Okay, I might
- 20:55Speaker 1: start doing this. I know, you know. I don't trust
- 20:56Speaker 1: people either. I don't get I don't trust anybody. Every
- 21:01Speaker 1: time I talk to Canna Lopez, I record our conversations. KI,
- 21:05Speaker 1: yeah they are. I have done this.
- 21:09Speaker 3: Have you recorded?
- 21:10Speaker 1: I did it talking to an X one time because
- 21:12Speaker 1: she was trying to lie about something I said and
- 21:14Speaker 1: I was like, I can't believe you'd say that, and
- 21:16Speaker 1: I was recording the conversation.
- 21:18Speaker 5: Wow, yeah, damn crazy.
- 21:22Speaker 1: I couldn't do it. No, I don't know. I don't
- 21:24Speaker 1: because your flip phone won't do it. That's why, bro,
- 21:28Speaker 1: your ghetto flip phone won't record. Well, good for you.
- 21:34Speaker 1: I think everybody has their little quirky things that they do.
- 21:36Speaker 1: We all do. Yeah, this one is unfortunately, I think,
- 21:40Speaker 1: because of your past, which kind of sucks that you've
- 21:42Speaker 1: been burned like that before, because when you.
- 21:44Speaker 3: Have, you shouldn't have to live and think that way
- 21:47Speaker 3: all the time.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Well, and that's what I was going to say. Maybe
- 21:49Speaker 1: you should talk to somebody and say, hey, this is
- 21:50Speaker 1: what I do, and this is why I do it,
- 21:52Speaker 1: because yeah, people have trauma responses to things that they've
- 21:56Speaker 1: had happened in their past. And this, as silly as
- 21:58Speaker 1: it is, this is what it seem like it is
- 22:00Speaker 1: for you. So you can't be doing this your entire
- 22:03Speaker 1: First of all, your phone doesn't even have that much storage.
- 22:05Speaker 9: Right back my computer.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Seriously, Well, thank you so much, good luck and I
- 22:12Speaker 1: appreciate you confessing.
- 22:14Speaker 5: All right, thank you.
- 22:15Speaker 1: There you go. Tess's Top Stories on the Tents with
- 22:18Speaker 1: Billy the Kid in the.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Morning only on the new Mixed one or two point nine.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Right, Canis Lopez has everything we need to know this morning?
- 22:25Speaker 1: Canis what's up? Well?
- 22:26Speaker 3: Self driving cars have hit the roads of Dallas.
- 22:29Speaker 4: As of yesterday, Uber launched their av ride robotaxis.
- 22:33Speaker 3: So Uber is a global head.
- 22:34Speaker 4: Of autonomous mobility operation, says, there is something magical about
- 22:38Speaker 4: your first robotaxi ride. I thought that was so interesting
- 22:43Speaker 4: because it's of course what they would say. But then
- 22:45Speaker 4: I'm thinking about, Wow, I've just got peaced by myself.
- 22:47Speaker 3: In this car.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:49Speaker 4: I don't think I would do it because I don't
- 22:51Speaker 4: know that it's safe.
- 22:52Speaker 3: I don't feel like i'd be comfortable. But how nice
- 22:54Speaker 3: if you have personal space.
- 22:55Speaker 1: You've taken away.
- 22:57Speaker 5: Mo.
- 22:57Speaker 3: No, I've never taken away.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Moo oh. I like it. I don't care. Bring the
- 23:00Speaker 1: robots on drive me everywhere. I don't care. I mean really,
- 23:04Speaker 1: it's nice, Like I will totally felt safe in a way, mo. Okay,
- 23:08Speaker 1: with the driverless vehicles, I felt entirely safe. I felt
- 23:11Speaker 1: like that. Well, and then I saw that video of
- 23:12Speaker 1: it driving through a police standoff.
- 23:15Speaker 4: That and then there was another incident where it hit
- 23:17Speaker 4: a dog and the kids were watching it, like yeah,
- 23:21Speaker 4: so I.
- 23:21Speaker 3: Think this is like two incidents of them hitting animals.
- 23:24Speaker 1: These are freak accidents.
- 23:25Speaker 3: I mean they are. It could happen with the driver.
- 23:27Speaker 1: I would much rather take a way MO than get
- 23:30Speaker 1: in the car with you or poo. Really no, you didn't.
- 23:33Speaker 1: It was an awful driver.
- 23:35Speaker 3: Wow, I'll sit there in silence and drive you around.
- 23:37Speaker 3: I'm not free.
- 23:38Speaker 6: You're speedy though you are. You are speedy, not by myself. No, yeah,
- 23:46Speaker 6: yeah aggressive, that's not true.
- 23:50Speaker 3: That is not true.
- 23:51Speaker 1: There you are right there. That's an actual sound effect
- 23:54Speaker 1: about you. Road rage uh, road rage us not about.
- 23:58Speaker 4: Me, is what I is going on these self driving cars, though,
- 24:01Speaker 4: they're going to be available for nine square miles of Dallas,
- 24:04Speaker 4: so Downtown, Uptown, Turtle Creek, and Deep Elam. Uber says
- 24:08Speaker 4: Dallas riders who request Uber ex Uber Comfort or Comfort
- 24:12Speaker 4: Electric might be matched with one that with one of
- 24:14Speaker 4: these cars. So you get a notification, you can decide
- 24:16Speaker 4: whether you want to take it or not.
- 24:18Speaker 1: So, but shout out to all our Uber drivers. We
- 24:20Speaker 1: love you and I'd rather take an Uber driver though,
- 24:22Speaker 1: because I want to take care of people and tip
- 24:24Speaker 1: them around the holidays.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:25Speaker 4: Do you tip and a waimo and a driverless car weird?
- 24:29Speaker 1: Absolutely not?
- 24:30Speaker 3: Oh so that's the benefit. If you don't want to
- 24:31Speaker 3: tip someone.
- 24:32Speaker 1: I want to tips.
- 24:33Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 24:33Speaker 1: I small talk conversations with people.
- 24:35Speaker 3: No, I don't like that speaking of crazy car stuff.
- 24:39Speaker 4: Guys, Remember I was telling you about that part of
- 24:41Speaker 4: business one twenty one that was supposed to close today
- 24:43Speaker 4: in Lewisville for that TV production. Uh well, update, they
- 24:46Speaker 4: actually rescheduled it to sometime next year because they were
- 24:49Speaker 4: worried about the weather today. So you don't have to
- 24:52Speaker 4: worry about that simulated car crash happening in Louisville all
- 24:56Speaker 4: day today. So just to heads up there and let
- 24:59Speaker 4: me update you on this. The first sentencing in the
- 25:01Speaker 4: death of Matthew Perry happened yesterday in Los Angeles. Two
- 25:05Speaker 4: more are scheduled before Christmas. So doctor Salvador Placentia was
- 25:09Speaker 4: sentenced to thirty months in federal prison. He pleaded guilty
- 25:13Speaker 4: to four counts of ketamine distribution that carried a max
- 25:17Speaker 4: of forty years. He also surrendered his medical license. But
- 25:21Speaker 4: that judge said, you know, he and others exploited Matthew's
- 25:24Speaker 4: addiction for their own profit. And in that investigation, there
- 25:27Speaker 4: was a text message from this doctor showing he charged
- 25:31Speaker 4: Matthew Perry two thousand dollars for twelve dollars.
- 25:34Speaker 3: Bottles of this stuff.
- 25:37Speaker 4: And that's the part where he said, you know, I
- 25:38Speaker 4: wonder how much this moron will pay in the text
- 25:41Speaker 4: message awful, Yeah, really really awful.
- 25:44Speaker 3: But there's your update there.
- 25:45Speaker 4: He's got, you know, a fine of about fifty six
- 25:47Speaker 4: hundred dollars he'll pay and two years probation after he's released.
- 25:52Speaker 3: But more to come from that.
- 25:54Speaker 4: And this time tomorrow, guys, we will have kicked off
- 25:56Speaker 4: stuff of us. I'm very excited about this. I have
- 25:58Speaker 4: a feeling this it's going to be our best year yet.
- 26:01Speaker 4: I just have a good feeling about it.
- 26:03Speaker 3: The weather's supposed to be great.
- 26:05Speaker 4: You know, it's been a rough year for a lot
- 26:06Speaker 4: of people, but I think people are gonna show up
- 26:08Speaker 4: big time.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Well I hope. So we're gonna be in Garland. If
- 26:11Speaker 1: you don't know about stuff a bus. We do it
- 26:13Speaker 1: every year and it's very important to us because we
- 26:16Speaker 1: take care of the kids and we help out the
- 26:17Speaker 1: kids with toys for tots. Yeah, and this year they
- 26:21Speaker 1: are in desperate need of toys, yes, like never before.
- 26:24Speaker 1: And this helps out kids in our area right here
- 26:27Speaker 1: in North Texas. And we kick it off to mind
- 26:29Speaker 1: and we live on this bus in the Walmart parking
- 26:31Speaker 1: lot until we stuff it full of toys. So we're
- 26:34Speaker 1: gonna be out there till I mean at least Sunday.
- 26:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm already getting dms of people like do I
- 26:38Speaker 4: wrap it?
- 26:38Speaker 3: What do I do?
- 26:39Speaker 1: No?
- 26:39Speaker 4: New unwrapped toys is what we're taking. Yeah, and other
- 26:44Speaker 4: businesses who are already hitting me up. I know there's
- 26:46Speaker 4: one of those claw Machine places. They've already hit me
- 26:48Speaker 4: up and said, we're coming. We're bringing a bunch of stuff.
- 26:50Speaker 3: Yeah, we can't wait.
- 26:51Speaker 4: When should we come anytime?
- 26:53Speaker 1: And listen, we do the show there from the Walmart,
- 26:57Speaker 1: you know, North Garland Avenue and George Bush tomorrow and
- 27:00Speaker 1: I will absolutely show love to your business. Yes, this
- 27:04Speaker 1: is the time of the year when you're doing this
- 27:05Speaker 1: for the kids and you're bringing toys. You tell me
- 27:08Speaker 1: what you want me to say, and I'll say it
- 27:09Speaker 1: for you. Absolutely, bring some toys and show love. And
- 27:12Speaker 1: we're doing it for the kids. And I think it's
- 27:14Speaker 1: gonna be the biggest here. I hope it's gonna be
- 27:16Speaker 1: the biggest here. We need Garland mesquite. Yeah, clar rich there, Richardson,
- 27:21Speaker 1: show up, show up, Make this a tradition with your kids.
- 27:25Speaker 1: That's what we have a lot of families do.
- 27:27Speaker 4: Yeah, I got a family from Little Elm who says,
- 27:29Speaker 4: we don't care how far it is, we'll we're coming.
- 27:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I can't wait to see you guys.
- 27:34Speaker 1: Good. I can't wait. I can't wait to meet everyone too.
- 27:36Speaker 1: So it's excited. We'll kick it off tomorrow morning. Do
- 27:38Speaker 1: the show live from the Walmart parking lot. Stuff of
- 27:39Speaker 1: Us day one tomorrow.
- 27:40Speaker 3: There you go. I'm Canda Slopez.
- 27:42Speaker 4: Those are your Texas top stories.
- 27:45Speaker 1: All right, gets done for Candace Court.
- 27:48Speaker 6: It gets settled here with Billy the Kid in the
- 27:51Speaker 6: morning that it does.
- 27:52Speaker 1: All rise for the Honorable Judge Canda Sloppez right here.
- 27:54Speaker 1: She's in a good mood. The holiday spirit is upon
- 27:56Speaker 1: her though, so she will be fine. She's not gonna
- 27:58Speaker 1: be too harsh on you. She's too That's why this
- 28:00Speaker 1: court got taken away from me. That was too mean.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Everybody was guilty in my court. Yeah, it's mixed one
- 28:06Speaker 1: or two point nine. A billy to kid A poo
- 28:08Speaker 1: is here, Judge Cannas here, you're ready, ready for your
- 28:10Speaker 1: case today? I am all right, dear Judge Cannis. I'm livid.
- 28:13Speaker 1: I got home the other day and my eight year
- 28:14Speaker 1: old comes running, mom, look at Grandma got me it
- 28:18Speaker 1: was an iPhone. I had been crystal clear about this.
- 28:22Speaker 1: She's way too young for a phone. We talked about
- 28:26Speaker 1: it one hundred times. I don't want her glued to
- 28:28Speaker 1: a screen at texting or on the internet at eight
- 28:30Speaker 1: years old. She's a kid. She should be playing outside,
- 28:33Speaker 1: not worrying about apps and notifications. I turned to my husband,
- 28:36Speaker 1: expecting some backup. Instead, he shrugged it off like it
- 28:39Speaker 1: was no big deal. It's fine, he said, Mom's adding
- 28:43Speaker 1: her to her plan and paying for it. At least
- 28:46Speaker 1: we're not Are you kidding me? This isn't about money,
- 28:50Speaker 1: it's about boundaries, it's about respect. I told him how
- 28:52Speaker 1: strongly I felt about this, and he just brushed it
- 28:55Speaker 1: off like my opinion didn't matter. Meanwhile, his mother is
- 28:58Speaker 1: standing there, smiling like the hero of the day. Oh no,
- 29:01Speaker 1: it's just a phone, and she says she's responsible and
- 29:05Speaker 1: I'll monitor everything. I wanted to scream, it's not her call,
- 29:08Speaker 1: it's mine. I'm her mother, and now I'm the bad
- 29:11Speaker 1: guy if I take it away. So here, I am
- 29:14Speaker 1: stuck between a mother in law who thinks she knows
- 29:16Speaker 1: best and a husband who won't stand up for me,
- 29:18Speaker 1: and an eight year old who's already texting emojis emoji's
- 29:22Speaker 1: like she's a teenager. No, I feel completely undermined, and honestly,
- 29:26Speaker 1: I'm so mad. I want to take it to Candace Courd.
- 29:30Speaker 1: Oh it's on right now, candas Cord. Candace, how do
- 29:33Speaker 1: you feel about this? Oh?
- 29:34Speaker 4: No, that's not fair for you to be the bad guy.
- 29:36Speaker 4: I hate this situation so much.
- 29:38Speaker 3: Eight years old, like already texting and stuff. What eight
- 29:42Speaker 3: year old is responsible? She said? The grandma says she's responsible.
- 29:46Speaker 1: No, eight year old is responsible.
- 29:47Speaker 3: No talking about who you are.
- 29:49Speaker 1: If you want to get in one of those phones now,
- 29:51Speaker 1: if you want to get an eight year old the phone, yeah,
- 29:53Speaker 1: you better talk about it as a family, right. You
- 29:55Speaker 1: better have a plan on how you're going to, I
- 29:58Speaker 1: don't know, introduce that phone. What rules there's gonna be right?
- 30:02Speaker 1: You know, everything has to be monitoring.
- 30:04Speaker 4: It might just be for a specific game or something
- 30:06Speaker 4: we're downloading on it, or the camera or you know,
- 30:09Speaker 4: something you can get screen time on, you know, Disney
- 30:12Speaker 4: Plus for a little while here and therefore traveling.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Or I don't know, yeah, or they have the phones
- 30:16Speaker 1: that are not like real phones. Yeah, they're kind of
- 30:18Speaker 1: just you know, I don't know they like that starter phones. Yeah,
- 30:22Speaker 1: I agree, we do like that.
- 30:23Speaker 5: The kid come on first of all the pain I
- 30:26Speaker 5: gave my kids a phone at seven? Oh yeah, the
- 30:30Speaker 5: parents can control you. The parents have more control than
- 30:33Speaker 5: you seven years. You can shut it down. You can
- 30:35Speaker 5: shut it down. No Internet after a certain time. I mean,
- 30:38Speaker 5: make them turn the phone into you.
- 30:40Speaker 3: I mean, I'm not ready to be monitoring that.
- 30:42Speaker 4: And she's saying that grandma's gonna monitor No one's monitoring
- 30:45Speaker 4: my kid's phone.
- 30:46Speaker 1: But no, and the grandma can't even monitor the phone,
- 30:48Speaker 1: let's be honest. Then doesn't know how to even do it.
- 30:50Speaker 1: But the mom can do it. Hey, key thing, grandma's
- 30:53Speaker 1: paying for it.
- 30:54Speaker 5: I'm on board with the husband, but if I ain't
- 30:57Speaker 5: got to pay for it, it's.
- 30:59Speaker 1: It's more than the money. It's more than the money.
- 31:01Speaker 1: It's something that should have been discussed with the mother
- 31:04Speaker 1: of the child. If a phone is a big.
- 31:06Speaker 3: Deal to me, it is huge.
- 31:07Speaker 4: And she's made it clear that she's not ready for
- 31:09Speaker 4: her eight year old to have it because her eight
- 31:11Speaker 4: year old's not ready well, and.
- 31:12Speaker 1: It definitely should not be made for texting. No, you know,
- 31:15Speaker 1: at that age to me. No, you're not gonna be
- 31:17Speaker 1: texting friends at eight years old and also getting internet
- 31:20Speaker 1: access at eight unsupervised. No, that phone, to me is
- 31:25Speaker 1: a line to the outside world, and also that's an
- 31:29Speaker 1: outside world coming into them. Yeah, so you got to
- 31:32Speaker 1: be careful, and not just eight at any age. Yeah,
- 31:36Speaker 1: you gotta be careful what they're going on.
- 31:37Speaker 4: Yeah, it's really hard. I think I just saw something
- 31:39Speaker 4: the other day that was saying, like, if kids who
- 31:41Speaker 4: have a phone before twelve or thirteen are more likely to,
- 31:44Speaker 4: you know, suffer.
- 31:45Speaker 3: Mental health issues. Yeah, you know, because they've got the
- 31:48Speaker 3: phone so early. Eight is too young.
- 31:50Speaker 1: I think eight is pretty young. It's aggressive. I don't
- 31:52Speaker 1: think that there's a certain age for certain kids that you, oh,
- 31:55Speaker 1: well you can get a phone of ten, because I
- 31:57Speaker 1: think every kid is different. My my son had a
- 31:59Speaker 1: phone when he was young. Yeah, but I thought he
- 32:01Speaker 1: was you know, I didn't think he was responsible. I
- 32:04Speaker 1: thought he could handle it and at least I could
- 32:06Speaker 1: control it.
- 32:07Speaker 3: And you know, watch your choice as his parents.
- 32:10Speaker 4: If your mom came in and said, hey, here's a
- 32:12Speaker 4: phone writer and you're eight, yeah, it wouldn't have been
- 32:15Speaker 4: right and she wouldn't have never done that.
- 32:17Speaker 1: Especially when it, let's be real, especially when it's a
- 32:19Speaker 1: mother in law. It looks like there's another mode of
- 32:22Speaker 1: an agenda. Oh, control thing. Yeah, control.
- 32:25Speaker 3: And then she said she's looking like a superhero.
- 32:27Speaker 1: And then the mom's got to come in and go, no,
- 32:29Speaker 1: you can't have that. And then you're right. Not only
- 32:31Speaker 1: you've undermined her parenting. Now she is the bad guy
- 32:34Speaker 1: because she's got to be the one that says no,
- 32:36Speaker 1: that's not fair to her as a parent. Yeah. I
- 32:38Speaker 1: don't know though, that's what I think. I can't believe.
- 32:40Speaker 1: You get your kids at seven. Yeah, I don't remember that.
- 32:44Speaker 5: My oldest Chris, yeah, he got his at seven.
- 32:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I gave it to him a seven. He used
- 32:49Speaker 1: to walk. He used to walk home because he lived.
- 32:51Speaker 1: His school was right across the street, so I used
- 32:53Speaker 1: to let him walk home.
- 32:54Speaker 4: If you have a phone, just to walk home from
- 32:56Speaker 4: school for something emergency situation like okay.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Brendan and Paul I got eight nine. They got phones
- 33:03Speaker 1: at eight nine.
- 33:04Speaker 4: If you have a phone, it's to call your friends
- 33:06Speaker 4: or call your grandma.
- 33:07Speaker 3: Like to me, you have four contacts in there, and
- 33:09Speaker 3: if you want to call cool. I had a house phone.
- 33:11Speaker 4: I had access to a phone my whole life, which
- 33:14Speaker 4: I think we also feel like these kids sometimes were
- 33:17Speaker 4: taking the phones away and it's like at night, but
- 33:19Speaker 4: it's like, well, we had.
- 33:19Speaker 6: A phone on the weekend to call our friends, of course,
- 33:22Speaker 6: But that's I think we got to bring back phone.
- 33:24Speaker 1: I think we got to bring back landlines and three
- 33:26Speaker 1: way call.
- 33:27Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 33:27Speaker 4: My niece has one and she's seven, and it's like
- 33:30Speaker 4: a real just she can just call on it.
- 33:32Speaker 1: That's what I think we should bring back what I had.
- 33:34Speaker 1: I think we should bring back beepers. Let's go, if
- 33:41Speaker 1: you let me just page me.
- 33:42Speaker 3: What was cooler than a beeper hanging out of your pocket?
- 33:44Speaker 3: I mean nothing in ninety nine?
- 33:47Speaker 1: What was your code? Did you have a code?
- 33:50Speaker 5: What?
- 33:50Speaker 1: No, I don't remember my code seven.
- 33:53Speaker 3: I don't remember having a code.
- 33:55Speaker 1: I was like, uh, and I love you as one
- 33:56Speaker 1: four three.
- 33:57Speaker 3: Yeah, we'd spell hello, Yeah, we spell the.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Things that weren't nice.
- 34:00Speaker 5: Oh yeah, if a girl was mad at she hit
- 34:03Speaker 5: you with the three to zero four.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Yeah, he's so true. I was trying to explain. I
- 34:11Speaker 1: was trying to explain to my son the other day
- 34:13Speaker 1: what a beeper was. It was like, so, wait, so
- 34:15Speaker 1: you'd call a little box to tell you to call
- 34:19Speaker 1: me back right. I'm like, yeah, doesn't that make sense.
- 34:22Speaker 4: He's like, no notifications only exactly.
- 34:27Speaker 1: All right, let's get to it right now. You have
- 34:29Speaker 1: a verdicts, Cannis Lopez, Candis Cord. What do you think?
- 34:32Speaker 4: Yeah, look, the grandma is doing her thing.
- 34:34Speaker 3: It is what it is.
- 34:34Speaker 4: But you, dad, you're guilty of being an airplane mode.
- 34:37Speaker 3: Alan, Oh, you gotta shut this down. Put your mom
- 34:42Speaker 3: on airplane mode because this is not like. Your wife
- 34:45Speaker 3: does not agree with this.
- 34:46Speaker 1: You can't breathe, you know, she doesn't on the phone
- 34:49Speaker 1: an airplane mode, Alan, Yes, might be one of my
- 34:52Speaker 1: favorite verdicts.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Ever, he's on airplane mode too.
- 34:56Speaker 1: For the next how long is he in trouble? Up?
- 34:57Speaker 6: Allan?
- 34:58Speaker 1: Speak up? Allan speakerphone nol And okay, stand up for
- 35:02Speaker 1: your wife. That's what you're a team? Yes, be a team,
- 35:06Speaker 1: Candis Court is a germ. I'm gonna clear something up, Candas. Yeah,
- 35:10Speaker 1: it's been bothering me because I got like a couple
- 35:12Speaker 1: of dms about it. It's mixed one or two point nine.
- 35:14Speaker 1: Bail at a kid, Candas Lopez. Producer pooh is here
- 35:17Speaker 1: because I don't know somehow it got brought up yesterday
- 35:19Speaker 1: because we were doing a dirty little secret and I
- 35:20Speaker 1: said I had to have pooh repo a car from
- 35:23Speaker 1: an ex girlfriend one time. Oh yeah, And I got
- 35:26Speaker 1: this message that was like, I can't believe you would
- 35:29Speaker 1: do that to someone just because you break up. You
- 35:31Speaker 1: took her car away that you bought her. Shame on you. Okay,
- 35:35Speaker 1: wait a minute. Yeah. First of all, this was an
- 35:37Speaker 1: ex for a long long time ago, right, and I
- 35:40Speaker 1: didn't do that. That wasn't what I did. What I
- 35:43Speaker 1: did was let her use the car for months and
- 35:46Speaker 1: she never gave it back.
- 35:47Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly. It wasn't like y'all broke up and then
- 35:49Speaker 3: the next day we're like give me this.
- 35:51Speaker 1: Yeah. I'm like, I'm going to clear that up because
- 35:52Speaker 1: I wouldn't do that. First of all, she was a mom. Yeah,
- 35:55Speaker 1: so I wouldn't do that just for that for sure,
- 35:58Speaker 1: Because I know she had to have a car. I
- 35:59Speaker 1: gave her plenty of time to figure out a situation
- 36:02Speaker 1: after we broke up to get the car back, and
- 36:05Speaker 1: she wouldn't give it back. So then I had to
- 36:08Speaker 1: have it repoke service, who literally go up to Oklahoma
- 36:14Speaker 1: to get it. I mean, what the heck is going on?
- 36:17Speaker 1: Oh yeah, and it was trash, no gas, no who
- 36:23Speaker 1: and I had been through a lot, but there was
- 36:24Speaker 1: no gas and her parents were great, so they were
- 36:27Speaker 1: like it was at their house because that's where she
- 36:29Speaker 1: was staying. And I'm like, I need the car back.
- 36:31Speaker 1: I'm sorry who took it, but yeah, I just wanted
- 36:34Speaker 1: to clear that up because the DM was I'm like,
- 36:37Speaker 1: I hope people don't think I would just break up
- 36:40Speaker 1: and then take a car back and leave someone, you know, carless,
- 36:43Speaker 1: and they had to figure it out. Now, some people
- 36:44Speaker 1: would now if she cheated on me. I'm not saying
- 36:47Speaker 1: I wouldn't do that, but it wasn't that kind of breakup. Yeah,
- 36:50Speaker 1: if she didn't have a kid, that might be different.
- 36:52Speaker 1: But if I would have known that it was going
- 36:54Speaker 1: to take me three months to get the car back, yeah,
- 36:56Speaker 1: because it took me like what two or three months? Yeah,
- 36:58Speaker 1: at least, I mean what And when I say it
- 37:02Speaker 1: was trash, there was Starbucks everywhere, spilled on the carpet,
- 37:08Speaker 1: the seats were all messed up and cut up. There
- 37:11Speaker 1: was like jump in the floor board. It was just
- 37:15Speaker 1: it was real nice, nasty. It was awful. So, but
- 37:19Speaker 1: that leads me to say, hey, there was this reddit
- 37:22Speaker 1: post that made me think of that too, that what
- 37:24Speaker 1: did you do that was unhinged after a breakup? Some
- 37:27Speaker 1: of these things are absolutely hysterical. And if you did
- 37:31Speaker 1: something funny after a breakup, what did you do? Eight
- 37:34Speaker 1: three three seven eight seven one o two nine? It
- 37:36Speaker 1: could be something petty whatever. We've talked about this before,
- 37:38Speaker 1: but this reddit post was cracking me. Are you ready
- 37:41Speaker 1: for some of these? Yeah? All right? What about this
- 37:43Speaker 1: girl who said she stole all his left shoes? She
- 37:51Speaker 1: took all of his left shoes? How good is that?
- 37:56Speaker 1: You just go in, Yeah, it's gonna annoying. I'm gonna
- 38:00Speaker 1: take all your left shoes. That's one one girl that
- 38:03Speaker 1: this girl, this is another good one I thought was funny.
- 38:05Speaker 1: She said I took all his spoons and one leg
- 38:08Speaker 1: of a couch. What just to be annoying? He loves cereal,
- 38:13Speaker 1: and I know he was freaking out the next morning.
- 38:20Speaker 1: Cereal and one leg of a couch. How annoying would
- 38:23Speaker 1: that be? He just got that wobbly couch. Then he
- 38:26Speaker 1: got to prop one side up a.
- 38:29Speaker 5: Bunch of napkins, Yes, sugar packets, yes, sugar packets.
- 38:35Speaker 1: He always did this thing where he'd take the last
- 38:37Speaker 1: granola bar and leave an empty box in the pantry.
- 38:39Speaker 1: So when I left, I emptied out every single thing
- 38:42Speaker 1: in the pantry and the fridge and left all the
- 38:43Speaker 1: empty containers down to the spices and flower bags. Oh wow,
- 38:49Speaker 1: that's a it's a lot of work, that is. This
- 38:52Speaker 1: girl said, I threw my engagement ring into a canal
- 38:58Speaker 1: instead of selling it and buying something nice myself. I
- 39:00Speaker 1: don't know why I thought that was a good idea.
- 39:02Speaker 1: I regretted it when I did it. But yeah, it's
- 39:03Speaker 1: somewhere in the bottom of a canal, right now.
- 39:07Speaker 3: You could have sold it.
- 39:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I was gonna say you could.
- 39:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I know, the thought of throwing it
- 39:12Speaker 3: is fun. You know why I should it just dip
- 39:14Speaker 3: down to the bottom.
- 39:15Speaker 1: But no, yeah, I know, just sink. Yeah. I set
- 39:19Speaker 1: off fireworks outside of his house in the middle of
- 39:21Speaker 1: the night. Ain't nobody sleeping? Yeah? Yeah, that right right
- 39:30Speaker 1: around fourth of July. This is a good one too.
- 39:33Speaker 1: I signed him up for various religious groups, asking for
- 39:36Speaker 1: at home consultations where he could ask questions prior to joining.
- 39:40Speaker 1: Also signed him up for numerous non family friendly printed
- 39:44Speaker 1: magazine subscriptions.
- 39:45Speaker 3: Oh my god, what a nightmare.
- 39:48Speaker 1: Nobody wants to knock at the door at all. This
- 39:51Speaker 1: might be my favorite one. And this is a guy
- 39:52Speaker 1: who did this because guys can be petty too. Yeah,
- 39:55Speaker 1: I logged into her Netflix account and watched five seasons
- 39:59Speaker 1: of Peppa Pig just to ruin her algorithm.
- 40:04Speaker 3: Oh that's a hot takee Let us know what you think.
- 40:06Speaker 3: Here's today's hot take.
- 40:08Speaker 1: Come mixed one or two point nine. Good morning, It's
- 40:10Speaker 1: Billy to Kid Canice low Paz producer poo. Now, I
- 40:13Speaker 1: think that what Travis Kelsey said on his podcast is
- 40:18Speaker 1: either a lie or it's a bad sign for him
- 40:23Speaker 1: in Taylor's relationship. Okay, because he basically hopped on and
- 40:27Speaker 1: was talking about how he has never had an argument
- 40:31Speaker 1: with Taylor in two and a half years. They've never argued,
- 40:36Speaker 1: never argued. And it all started because he was talking
- 40:39Speaker 1: to George Clooney about his relationship and said, you claim
- 40:42Speaker 1: that you and your wife haven't gotten a fight in
- 40:44Speaker 1: ten years. That's right, argue lying.
- 40:47Speaker 7: No, I'm not lying, Travis, I'm just asking shall we
- 40:52Speaker 7: ask you the same questions?
- 40:54Speaker 8: Well, that's only been two and a half years, and
- 40:56Speaker 8: you're right, I haven't gotten an argument, never won.
- 41:00Speaker 2: Honestly, you know, neither of us are going to win
- 41:02Speaker 2: the argument, so why get in it?
- 41:04Speaker 1: There we go? There you go. What's the secret to
- 41:06Speaker 1: just staying out of the argument altogether?
- 41:08Speaker 2: Dude, I'm sixty four years old, and what am I
- 41:11Speaker 2: going to argue about it at this point?
- 41:13Speaker 1: Okay? I would argue about this argument, which I would
- 41:16Speaker 1: say that if you don't have an argument, then you
- 41:18Speaker 1: really don't know how to disagree properly and healthy. So
- 41:22Speaker 1: either he's lying or this is an unhealthy relationship.
- 41:26Speaker 4: Okay, I mean it's okay if you can accept that
- 41:28Speaker 4: neither of you will win, because I kind of feel
- 41:30Speaker 4: like that with Eric, we just don't argue.
- 41:32Speaker 3: We have discussion.
- 41:33Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 41:34Speaker 3: I don't know what we have discussion constitutes?
- 41:36Speaker 4: Is an argument versus a discussion?
- 41:39Speaker 1: Well?
- 41:39Speaker 3: You know what I mean? Like yelling? Is it the volume?
- 41:41Speaker 3: Is it the intensity?
- 41:43Speaker 6: Well?
- 41:43Speaker 1: I guess, I guess argument to me is a disagreement. Yeah,
- 41:47Speaker 1: so I think you're gonna have a disagreement. But if
- 41:49Speaker 1: you're telling me for two and a half years, they've
- 41:50Speaker 1: never had a disagreement I mean, what.
- 41:52Speaker 4: Do they have to disagree about or argue about. Right,
- 41:54Speaker 4: they have all the resources, all the money, all of
- 41:56Speaker 4: the assets any human could want.
- 41:59Speaker 1: Reach people argue. Yeah, I mean rich people have everything
- 42:02Speaker 1: and still get in fights and argue about stuff.
- 42:04Speaker 3: Right, about petty stuff though, well, I don't know.
- 42:06Speaker 1: I mean, it could be about other women, other men,
- 42:08Speaker 1: other it could be about a million other things. There's
- 42:10Speaker 1: trust me, you can argue about stuff. It doesn't matter
- 42:12Speaker 1: your financial staff. So I mean, to me, it's just
- 42:16Speaker 1: unrealistic that you would never now. Yeah, of course, if
- 42:18Speaker 1: you're Travis Kelsey, you don't want argue with Taylor Swift
- 42:21Speaker 1: because I don't want to rock the boat. I'm not
- 42:22Speaker 1: trying to miss that bag up for nothing, I know.
- 42:25Speaker 1: But you say that, pooh, but Travis is not some
- 42:27Speaker 1: poor little dude off the streets.
- 42:29Speaker 4: No, but he has the richest, most famous woman in
- 42:31Speaker 4: the world.
- 42:32Speaker 1: Yeah. I'm not denying that, you know, I'm not denying that.
- 42:36Speaker 1: Do I want him to funnel the bag? No?
- 42:37Speaker 4: No, I'm just really trying to think what would they
- 42:39Speaker 4: argue about?
- 42:40Speaker 3: And I can't think of anything.
- 42:42Speaker 1: Well, see, to me, I feel like arguments are sometimes
- 42:45Speaker 1: good in relationships. Because it shows you how to I
- 42:48Speaker 1: don't know, navigate and how to handle things. If not
- 42:51Speaker 1: one and two and a half years, Yeah, I mean
- 42:53Speaker 1: no one, you haven't. You haven't argued with Eric over
- 42:55Speaker 1: anything in the past. What how long you guys been together?
- 42:58Speaker 3: Oh like thirteen years?
- 43:00Speaker 1: Teen years? You've never had an argument?

- 43:23Speaker 5: would say is inconsidering.
- 43:24Speaker 1: You'd be like, you know better, nothing that.
- 43:26Speaker 3: Counts as an argument.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I feel like.
- 43:29Speaker 3: That's just me expressing my feelings.
- 43:31Speaker 1: So what it makes you annoyed? That's an argument right there? No,
