- 0:02Speaker 1: This is a Bramble Jam podcast. Welcome to Girls Gone Hallmark,
- 0:23Speaker 1: a Hallmark review podcast. I'm Megan and I'm a longtime
- 0:26Speaker 1: Hallmark fan. I'm Wendy. I'm a former Hallmark hater. Today
- 0:29Speaker 1: we're discussing a nineties Christmas which originally premiered on the
- 0:32Speaker 1: Hallmark Channel on Friday, November twenty ninth, twenty twenty four.
- 0:36Speaker 1: When this podcast is over, following us on Instagram, we
- 0:38Speaker 1: are Girls Gone Hallmark. Hey, if you want to join
- 0:42Speaker 1: another Facebook group, Hey, join ours. You should. Girl's Gone
- 0:46Speaker 1: Hallmark and Facebook groups. I'm hoping that by the time
- 0:49Speaker 1: this episode drops we will have crossed the thousand member mark.
- 0:51Speaker 1: We're like one or two people away, really close. It
- 0:54Speaker 1: was one of those silly goals I set for the
- 0:56Speaker 1: end of the year and we hit it. So I'm
- 0:58Speaker 1: very happy. So let's let's about how big that group
- 1:01Speaker 1: could be in twenty twenty five. We would love to
- 1:05Speaker 1: hear from you. You can send us your emails. Girls Got
- 1:06Speaker 1: on Hallmarket Gmail dot com and from us, you are
- 1:09Speaker 1: going to hear a synopsis. A workaholic lawyer destined to
- 1:14Speaker 1: spend Christmas alone is transported back to nineteen ninety nine,
- 1:19Speaker 1: after an unexpected run in with a particularly wise ride
- 1:24Speaker 1: share driver. Marnie Bennack directed. She has twenty previous directing credits,
- 1:28Speaker 1: including Hallmark movies like Everything Puppies and Everything Christmas. Outside
- 1:33Speaker 1: of the network, she's directed episodes of hit shows like
- 1:35Speaker 1: Degrassi The Next Generation. Ryan Peckinpah wrote the script for
- 1:39Speaker 1: a nineties Christmas. This marks Ryan's debut writing credit on IMDb.
- 1:44Speaker 1: A quick Google search reveals that Ryan has also performed
- 1:49Speaker 1: as a stand up comic in the LA area. Additionally,
- 1:53Speaker 1: he serves as an associate professor of English at a
- 1:58Speaker 1: University of California school, and achieved a significant milestone in
- 2:03Speaker 1: twenty eighteen by optioning his first script to Disney Hey Cool.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Ava Bourne plays Lucy. Ava has thirty three acting credits
- 2:10Speaker 1: and has been in a ton of Hallmark projects, including
- 2:13Speaker 1: Make Me a Match from twenty twenty three, sixty episodes
- 2:16Speaker 1: of When Calls the Heart as Clara, and fourteen garage
- 2:20Speaker 1: Sale mystery movies as Hannah Bingo. Ava also appears as
- 2:24Speaker 1: Princess Ava on the ABC series Once Upon a Time.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Who the heck is Princess Eva? You tell me that's
- 2:30Speaker 1: the show I've never seen. Chandler Massey plays Matt I.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Honestly at one point was like, that's Chandler Massey. M hmm.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Does the beginning of the movie the entire thing? Did
- 2:41Speaker 1: you look like him? Chandler has twenty three acting credits
- 2:43Speaker 1: and was lasting on Hallmark in Mystic Christmas from twenty
- 2:46Speaker 1: twenty three. He's probably best known for playing Will Horton
- 2:49Speaker 1: in the longtime running soap Days of Our Lives. Catherine
- 2:52Speaker 1: Barrell plays Grace. You might remember Catherine as the lead
- 2:55Speaker 1: in this year's Shifting Gears. This year it was early
- 2:59Speaker 1: this show twenty four is be in a long year
- 3:01Speaker 1: opposite Tyler Hines. This movie marks her thirty second acting credit.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Alex Hook plays Alexa. This movie marks the first Hallmark
- 3:10Speaker 1: movie for Alex Howard. Fans of the series The Way
- 3:13Speaker 1: Home know her as teenage Cat. Kate Drummond plays Tina.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Kate just appeared in this year's To Have It Too Holiday.
- 3:20Speaker 1: You might also recognize her as the mom whose private
- 3:22Speaker 1: jet got stranded in last year's Christmas Islands. Jenny Raven
- 3:26Speaker 1: plays friend Nadine, with forty seven acting credits and an
- 3:29Speaker 1: appearance in one episode of the Good Witch this appears
- 3:32Speaker 1: to be her first Hallmark movie. We're gonna take a
- 3:34Speaker 1: quick break and come right back for first impressions. Wendy,
- 3:46Speaker 1: what's your first impression? Why? Giggleleen, because my first impression
- 3:50Speaker 1: makes me laugh. Okay, so does mine. I love raid
- 3:53Speaker 1: right now, goodhead. My first impression is we can leave
- 4:00Speaker 1: In the nineties, do you have the same one. My
- 4:02Speaker 1: first impression is simply, what's up? Say we can leave it?
- 4:08Speaker 1: Let's leave it. I don't miss that. No, you know,
- 4:12Speaker 1: like sometimes I still say it, what and you're always like,
- 4:15Speaker 1: what is happening? I have that reaction to you. Yes,
- 4:20Speaker 1: I can't recall. Oh my gosh, you're gonna have to
- 4:22Speaker 1: point it out next time you do it. If you
- 4:24Speaker 1: are a young listener of this podcast, just just google it.
- 4:29Speaker 1: It's an old bud light activation for what did I
- 4:32Speaker 1: think for some reason it was connected to Taco Bell
- 4:35Speaker 1: but it wasn't right. I don't I think it's bud light.
- 4:38Speaker 1: It is bud Light. Was that? Oh my god? I
- 4:41Speaker 1: remember like people would actively say that to each other. Yeah,
- 4:46Speaker 1: I know. I laughed out loud when Nadine says it.
- 4:49Speaker 1: That was funny. Let us talk what we liked about
- 4:52Speaker 1: a nineties Christmas sign me up for any time travel
- 4:57Speaker 1: genre movie. Look, I'm a nineties kid. I mean like
- 5:01Speaker 1: I was born in nineteen seventy nine, so like the
- 5:04Speaker 1: nineties were like my teenage years. I identify pop culturally
- 5:08Speaker 1: very much with the nineties. Yeah, And I think the
- 5:11Speaker 1: nineties are often an overlooked decade, and like, I think
- 5:14Speaker 1: we spent a lot of time talking about the eighties, Yeah,
- 5:17Speaker 1: as a you know, pop cultural touchstone, and I don't
- 5:20Speaker 1: think we got a lot of great things pop culturally
- 5:23Speaker 1: out of the nineties. That doesn't mean I don't like
- 5:26Speaker 1: the movies of the nineties. Yeah, I very much identify
- 5:29Speaker 1: with that. And so while I could have used more references,
- 5:35Speaker 1: I did find many of the references quite satisfying. Yeah,
- 5:38Speaker 1: so did I. That was probably the biggest thing I
- 5:43Speaker 1: was excited about, is to see, like, what are they
- 5:46Speaker 1: going to put in this movie that's going to feel
- 5:48Speaker 1: relevant to me and my time growing up in the nineties.
- 5:52Speaker 1: I mean, of course we have The Way Home and
- 5:53Speaker 1: that season one. They were in the nineties as well, right, well,
- 5:57Speaker 1: like nineteen ninety nine. Yeah, you're right, oh, this same year. Actually,
- 6:01Speaker 1: that's funny that Alex is in this Yeah anyway, Yeah,
- 6:06Speaker 1: I really like that. What liked best about this movie though,
- 6:10Speaker 1: is that Lucy's trip wasn't about fixing her life. Instead,
- 6:18Speaker 1: it was about helping like the people around her change
- 6:24Speaker 1: their future. I guess, yeah, I mean it wasn't about
- 6:28Speaker 1: simply fixing her own life. Yes, yeah, she It wasn't
- 6:32Speaker 1: simply like that, you know, she and Matt needed to
- 6:35Speaker 1: get together. It was that Matt needed to realize her
- 6:39Speaker 1: dreams right. And it wasn't that like Alex like she
- 6:43Speaker 1: has a better relationship with her. It's that like she
- 6:45Speaker 1: and her mom understand her better, like all of these
- 6:48Speaker 1: things exactly. Yeah, yeah, I really enjoy like how supportive
- 6:53Speaker 1: she was of her sister. That is a highlight scene. Yeah,
- 6:57Speaker 1: I thought so so good, I cried. I I'm not
- 7:00Speaker 1: sure we've gotten like a coming out scene in a
- 7:03Speaker 1: Mallmark movie, And I just I thought it was really
- 7:08Speaker 1: nicely done. I agree. And then for me, the end
- 7:13Speaker 1: montage was a standout in this movie. I love a montage,
- 7:17Speaker 1: but the flashboard of her life, yes, the way they
- 7:21Speaker 1: did it was I thought was so cool. And I
- 7:25Speaker 1: just love like seeing the ripple effect of like her
- 7:28Speaker 1: journey back to nineteen ninety nine. I just that was
- 7:31Speaker 1: so cool. Yeah, I thought that was really well done,
- 7:34Speaker 1: and that they included like Nadine hitting a big with
- 7:38Speaker 1: her stocks and Alex getting married and the fact that
- 7:41Speaker 1: Alex married her like she performed her wedding. I mean,
- 7:46Speaker 1: I think it's really fun. The nineties. I mean, we
- 7:49Speaker 1: talked about the nineties, but like the Joshua Jackson reference
- 7:52Speaker 1: super relatable, Like in my digit see that. I'm sorry,
- 7:56Speaker 1: it's okay, I'll have i have a little bit of commentary,
- 8:00Speaker 1: but I'll wait for that segment. I just think it's
- 8:02Speaker 1: like the a lot of the references that contrast like
- 8:06Speaker 1: the nineties versus today, like you can milk an almond.
- 8:08Speaker 1: That was really funny. You know, a lot of like
- 8:13Speaker 1: Internet references. And I think my husband when we were
- 8:19Speaker 1: watching this was like, she keeps like making mistakes, like
- 8:22Speaker 1: talking about things that don't exist. And I was like, yeah,
- 8:24Speaker 1: because that's her life. You forget that you don't have
- 8:29Speaker 1: you know, the Internet or you know whatever. Anyway, Yeah,
- 8:31Speaker 1: like text me something like what what is that? Or
- 8:34Speaker 1: yeah when she's like why two k, It's going to
- 8:36Speaker 1: be a non issue. So funny, and they're like who knows. Now.
- 8:41Speaker 1: One of my roman empires is that HY two K
- 8:43Speaker 1: was a big issue and the only reason it was
- 8:45Speaker 1: not a non issue is because many people worked very
- 8:48Speaker 1: hard in order to make it not a non issue.
- 8:50Speaker 1: But we have like retconned it and to be like, oh,
- 8:52Speaker 1: we've blew it into nothing. No, because we made a
- 8:55Speaker 1: big deal out of it. They pre solved the problem. Oh,
- 8:59Speaker 1: I'm thinking because we didn't have like the info at
- 9:03Speaker 1: our fingertips, Like we weren't consuming like doom scrolling about
- 9:10Speaker 1: it at that. But do you remember, like we they
- 9:14Speaker 1: made like stuffed animals that were the Y two K bug.
- 9:17Speaker 1: I don't like kind of vague means are going to
- 9:21Speaker 1: shut down the world is like things are going to fail.
- 9:24Speaker 1: And that didn't happen. And the reason it didn't happen
- 9:26Speaker 1: is because some very smart computer scientists figured out the
- 9:29Speaker 1: solution ahead of time. Okay, okay, did you clock the
- 9:35Speaker 1: Lobster Friends thing from you know? No? Really? Yeah? No,
- 9:42Speaker 1: it didn't shocked by that. I didn't for how many
- 9:45Speaker 1: time she watched that series? I know, Yeah it's her lot.
- 9:49Speaker 1: I immediately knew that's what they were referring to. Yeah,
- 9:52Speaker 1: you're smarter than I am. And the fact that she
- 9:54Speaker 1: spoiled it then was really funny too. And he's like,
- 9:57Speaker 1: I don't think that's happened yet anyway. Is it Eva Born? Yeah?
- 10:01Speaker 1: I think so. I thought she was so great, uh huh.
- 10:04Speaker 1: I loved her in this lead role. I know she's
- 10:06Speaker 1: been in a bunch of other Hallmark things, but she
- 10:08Speaker 1: deserves she was so good. Put her in some more movies.
- 10:12Speaker 1: She's got great hair, Dude, her hair. At one point,
- 10:16Speaker 1: I'm like, am I looking at Sarah James, Why are
- 10:21Speaker 1: you covering them? I don't because, like I feel like
- 10:24Speaker 1: she's a private person and I don't want to say
- 10:27Speaker 1: her name out loud. She's one hundred percent not She
- 10:30Speaker 1: makes a living posting herself online under her real name.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Oh she does. Let me look right now. Girlfriend was
- 10:36Speaker 1: in a Panteen commercial. No, it literally says her first
- 10:39Speaker 1: and last name on her Instagram profile. Okay, she was
- 10:42Speaker 1: giving Sarah James vibes. We will link Sarah James Instagram
- 10:46Speaker 1: profile below. She's whirl on Instagram. She used to have
- 10:50Speaker 1: a website called hair Thursday. Like she was in a
- 10:53Speaker 1: Panteine commercial. Girl's got great hair. I'm telling the listeners Okay, well, yeah,
- 10:58Speaker 1: I know, I know. You know she's spoken an event
- 11:01Speaker 1: we hosted Wendy's Like, I know who she is. I
- 11:03Speaker 1: know Wendy knows who she is. I mean one of
- 11:06Speaker 1: my notes is like, do I think this is the
- 11:07Speaker 1: breakout hit of the year. Obviously I do not. Did
- 11:10Speaker 1: I find it just sweet enough to thoroughly enjoy watching it? Yeah?
- 11:13Speaker 1: I did. I saw some commentary that was like this
- 11:16Speaker 1: movie sucked, and I was like, I disagree. I saw
- 11:19Speaker 1: a lot of commentary about like this was the worst
- 11:21Speaker 1: thing this year blah blah blah, and I just did
- 11:23Speaker 1: not feel that way. I'm like, let me suspend disbelief. Yes,
- 11:26Speaker 1: she went back to her nineteen ninety nine self. I
- 11:28Speaker 1: am going to allow myself to believe that. Give me
- 11:30Speaker 1: all the time travel, like Star Wars isn't realistic, people like,
- 11:35Speaker 1: come on, the Avengers is not realistic. Tony's dark does
- 11:42Speaker 1: not exist. Let me enjoy a little suspension of disbelief. Now,
- 11:46Speaker 1: let me ask you. If somebody comes to you and
- 11:49Speaker 1: say is a Rice Share driver and they're like, yeah,
- 11:50Speaker 1: I'm taking you, like back to the future or whatever,
- 11:55Speaker 1: would you be like GTFO. I mean, she didn't tell
- 11:59Speaker 1: her that it was too late. She woke up and
- 12:01Speaker 1: was like back in the nineties or whatever she could
- 12:03Speaker 1: do about it at that point. No, I know, but okay.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Or if you were a friend and your friend comes
- 12:10Speaker 1: to you and says like, I'm from the future, do
- 12:13Speaker 1: you go all right? I look, I I'm inclined to
- 12:16Speaker 1: believe stuff like that. Are you ready to talk wishes? Yeah?
- 12:19Speaker 1: Oh so I really liked that montage as well, Like
- 12:22Speaker 1: I got kind of emotional watching it. Same, But I
- 12:25Speaker 1: also I always wonder because I think, what's the Train
- 12:29Speaker 1: Time Travel movie with Lindsay Vonseca and Chreydler Massey. Oh, oh,
- 12:35Speaker 1: you're right, I can't remember what it's called right now. Okay,
- 12:40Speaker 1: there's the Train Time and Travel movie with Lindsay Fonseca. Yeah,
- 12:43Speaker 1: and in that movie, I think we have a lot
- 12:47Speaker 1: of these movies where they like make a change in
- 12:49Speaker 1: their past and then like they return to the future
- 12:55Speaker 1: and there's like a fast forward situation, and I'm like,
- 12:59Speaker 1: did that person get to live it or are they
- 13:03Speaker 1: just like now being flooded with the memories of their life.
- 13:07Speaker 1: And part of me feels really sad about the fact
- 13:09Speaker 1: that they would have had this great life and she
- 13:12Speaker 1: hasn't actually lived it, she just has the memory of it. Yeah,
- 13:16Speaker 1: it is sad, but I don't know, maybe we're to
- 13:19Speaker 1: believe that like she did live it and she's like realized.
- 13:25Speaker 1: I don't know. That's a very good question I get
- 13:28Speaker 1: in the time travel weeds a little bit. So, Okay,
- 13:36Speaker 1: did this movie lean too heavily into Back to the Future?
- 13:41Speaker 1: I mean, was it a full ripoff? Yeah, that's a
- 13:44Speaker 1: good question. So because what's interesting is they actually reference
- 13:48Speaker 1: back to the future. Yes, and then they have the
- 13:50Speaker 1: disappearing letter, which is obviously a straight rip from Back
- 13:53Speaker 1: to the Future. Yeah. Yeah, I don't know where's the
- 13:57Speaker 1: line between like tribute to and fired by and just
- 14:01Speaker 1: you wink an entire storyline totally. I don't know totally.
- 14:05Speaker 1: I was like watching it and I was like, oh,
- 14:07Speaker 1: the letters are disappearing, just like him back to the Future.
- 14:10Speaker 1: I was like, what is happening? Yeah, it feels like
- 14:13Speaker 1: a real rip off. You are changing your future a
- 14:16Speaker 1: little bit too much. Yeah. So, I but you know,
- 14:19Speaker 1: Hot Tub Time Machine does the same thing. Love that
- 14:23Speaker 1: it does the same thing, right with the kid who
- 14:25Speaker 1: starts to kind of like become invisible as like his
- 14:28Speaker 1: parents meeting becomes less inevitable. So it's not the first
- 14:33Speaker 1: time the sting has happened. I will say that as
- 14:37Speaker 1: an aside. When we watched Hot Frosty, Craig Robinson is
- 14:39Speaker 1: in that movie. He was, of course also in the
- 14:41Speaker 1: Hot Tub Time Machines, and as soon as he walks
- 14:43Speaker 1: on screen, my husband goes, oh my gosh, Craig, get
- 14:46Speaker 1: out of this movie and go make Hot Tub Time
- 14:48Speaker 1: Machine three. I mean, I wonder why they haven't made
- 14:51Speaker 1: a third version of that movie, like it feels like
- 14:53Speaker 1: a cult a favorite. Yeah, I don't know. It's gotta
- 14:56Speaker 1: be expensive. Those are expensive actors. I mean, Craig Robertson,
- 15:02Speaker 1: John Cusac, Chevy Chase, I mean, those are expensive. It
- 15:06Speaker 1: time out, Time Out, Chimmy Chase is supposed to have
- 15:10Speaker 1: a Christmas movie out this year that Chris Paala is. Yes,
- 15:13Speaker 1: where is it? It's on Hoopla and I'm trying to
- 15:16Speaker 1: watch it before tomorrow. When we discuss when we talked
- 15:18Speaker 1: to Chris was a theatrical release, I don't know hopefully
- 15:24Speaker 1: that interview happened if it didn't. Surprise and I saw
- 15:28Speaker 1: that and I was like, Chevy Chase and Dennis Quaid.
- 15:31Speaker 1: It's like a Christmas vacation reunion. And I went to look,
- 15:34Speaker 1: like where it's streaming, and it's on Hoopla, which I
- 15:36Speaker 1: was I was actually gonna try, and so am I
- 15:38Speaker 1: a TFS Hoopla? Is this? This is the library card thing?
- 15:43Speaker 1: We talked about it in every single episode of My
- 15:46Speaker 1: Name Mister Christmas. But why did they go to wait,
- 15:50Speaker 1: where is it streaming? At that? I used the just hey,
- 15:53Speaker 1: hot tip, you're not talking about this movie anymore. I
- 15:57Speaker 1: use an app called just Watch and you can look
- 15:59Speaker 1: up shows and it'll tell you all the apps it's
- 16:01Speaker 1: streaming on. Oh cool. Yeah, anyway, I don't know where
- 16:06Speaker 1: that came from. What are we talking about? Oh, Chevy Chase.
- 16:08Speaker 1: You were just like having a moment. Let's get back on.
- 16:11Speaker 1: I don't care. A lot of people have talked about this,
- 16:14Speaker 1: the whole age of the characters. Yeah, make it make
- 16:19Speaker 1: sense to me. Look, this was a conversation in our
- 16:21Speaker 1: Facebook group, and I'll say here what I said there.
- 16:25Speaker 1: You have the challenge of this isn't a time travel movie.
- 16:29Speaker 1: They're not like going back as their future selves. They're
- 16:32Speaker 1: going back into their past selves. So these actors have
- 16:35Speaker 1: to play both the nineteen ninety nine and the twenty
- 16:37Speaker 1: twenty four versions of themselves, right, which, by the way,
- 16:41Speaker 1: I think corresponding, Mike pointed out that, like, she's too
- 16:44Speaker 1: young to be playing the twenty twenty four version of herself,
- 16:47Speaker 1: so I think they had to pick actors who like
- 16:50Speaker 1: didn't look forty but didn't look twenty either. Yeah, they're both.
- 16:54Speaker 1: They both have very young faces. They're both rather young looking.
- 16:59Speaker 1: But again this is a suspension, like give her bangs
- 17:01Speaker 1: and take away glasses and she's young and yeah, Park
- 17:04Speaker 1: Chandler's hair in the middle and he's young too, but
- 17:07Speaker 1: he had the same hair that he did. He did
- 17:11Speaker 1: have that center part. It was shaggy or maybe in
- 17:14Speaker 1: the past. I mean, I appreciate it because that's what
- 17:16Speaker 1: I remember my husband having hair like that too at
- 17:19Speaker 1: one point. Oh yeah, parted in the middle one hundred.
- 17:24Speaker 1: But you know, it makes it hard for me to
- 17:30Speaker 1: be like, what what time frame are we in? Because
- 17:32Speaker 1: you look the same. Yeah, but you're also accepting that
- 17:35Speaker 1: you've got this like time traveling guru who travels by
- 17:38Speaker 1: Volkswagen bug and she's alerted to changing the past every time.
- 17:43Speaker 1: The Twelve Days of Christmas appears. Yes, yes, okay, another
- 17:47Speaker 1: thing that I wished for. I thought it was unrealistic
- 17:50Speaker 1: to blame Lucy for not staying close to her high
- 17:52Speaker 1: school friends when she's off working towards her career. Yeah,
- 17:57Speaker 1: how many high school friends are you that close to? None?
- 18:00Speaker 1: And so was like, I might be a jerk though
- 18:03Speaker 1: I'm not the well too gold standard, But I also
- 18:07Speaker 1: don't think it's one hundred percent my fault. I mean,
- 18:09Speaker 1: people grow up, and not that you grow out of relationships,
- 18:13Speaker 1: but your future takes you different places, and it's not
- 18:17Speaker 1: like being in homeroom with your bff every day for
- 18:20Speaker 1: the last four years. You're now like off in college
- 18:23Speaker 1: and you don't see each other anymore, and it's just different,
- 18:26Speaker 1: you know. I do feel like kind of a jerk though,
- 18:28Speaker 1: because my parents have high school friends, Like some of
- 18:30Speaker 1: their best friends are still their best from high school.
- 18:33Speaker 1: That's admirable, But not me, not me anymore? Wishes No,
- 18:38Speaker 1: what about you? I'm ready to talk? Did you see that?
- 18:40Speaker 1: Oh right, I have a couple here too. Go ahead,
- 18:43Speaker 1: Well you talked about it earlier. The Joshua Jacks Joshua
- 18:47Speaker 1: Jackson doodle. Yeah, funny for a couple of reasons. One
- 18:52Speaker 1: because like he's having a moment again. Yes, you know
- 18:55Speaker 1: he's in that new show like Doctor Odyssey, but they
- 18:58Speaker 1: would have filmed this before that came out, obviously. Yeah,
- 19:04Speaker 1: why choose Josh Jackson? I mean, nineteen ninety nine is
- 19:08Speaker 1: kind of like peque Dawson's Creek. He definitely was, Yeah,
- 19:14Speaker 1: but I don't remember people like loving him there Pacey?
- 19:18Speaker 1: Did people love Pacey? I loved Pacy end of that series,
- 19:21Speaker 1: Like I loved Pacey. People loved I mean, I think
- 19:24Speaker 1: you were either team Dawson or team Paisy. But what
- 19:27Speaker 1: I thought was weird about this scene is she like
- 19:29Speaker 1: sees it and goes, oh Lucy, And I was like,
- 19:32Speaker 1: but why oh Lucy? Like it would have been funnier
- 19:37Speaker 1: if it was a doodle of somebody who liked great
- 19:40Speaker 1: standing today. Yeah, or you're like, well that was a choice, yes,
- 19:44Speaker 1: But maybe she's like, it's just the idea that you're
- 19:46Speaker 1: doodling the name of a celebrity, right, an unattainable persona,
- 19:50Speaker 1: as opposed to doodling the name of your next door
- 19:53Speaker 1: neighbor bestie fair. I have two others. Yeah, they are
- 19:58Speaker 1: on the ice skating rink. Why are there decorated trees
- 20:02Speaker 1: and potted points all the time? They do this all
- 20:05Speaker 1: the time. It's such a hazard. How are you ice
- 20:08Speaker 1: skating when there's trees on the rink and and they're
- 20:12Speaker 1: decorated and lit? So tell me, like, how does that work?
- 20:16Speaker 1: Shooting the scene? They're like pretending to ice skate around
- 20:19Speaker 1: these things because there's got to be extension chords that
- 20:21Speaker 1: are like running to plug these trees in good point.
- 20:24Speaker 1: That doesn't any case sense to me. I agree with you.
- 20:26Speaker 1: I don't get it. I don't get why they do that.
- 20:29Speaker 1: When she is in her glasses when she's old Lucy,
- 20:34Speaker 1: I don't think there's glass in our glasses. I don't know. Oh,
- 20:36Speaker 1: I didn't think so. I don't know there's a lens
- 20:38Speaker 1: in there. I noticed it and listiter. Mackie also shared
- 20:41Speaker 1: with us the poster in her room is a She's
- 20:43Speaker 1: All There poster a clay on the movie She's All That,
- 20:47Speaker 1: starring a Hallmark actress Rajelie Cook. Yeah. The final thing
- 20:52Speaker 1: is why is Grace's steering wheel on the right hand
- 20:55Speaker 1: side of her car? I was wondering that too, like
- 20:58Speaker 1: she was, what the heck is that lady's name you
- 21:01Speaker 1: don't remember, like the nanny, the nanny who would come
- 21:04Speaker 1: to your house and like help whip your kids and
- 21:07Speaker 1: not whip but shape your kids. Joe Frost. Yeah, what
- 21:11Speaker 1: was her show called Snanny super Nanny and her wasn't
- 21:15Speaker 1: heard like steering wheel on the other because she was
- 21:18Speaker 1: from England. Maybe maybe it's just supposed to be like
- 21:21Speaker 1: a sign that like she is not of this world,
- 21:25Speaker 1: is not quite right. I was wondering that too. I
- 21:27Speaker 1: don't know. That's a good question. And it's never explained though, right, No,
- 21:32Speaker 1: never explained. She's like, look at my magic time traveling bug. Yeah,
- 21:37Speaker 1: that's so weird. She has such a big role in
- 21:39Speaker 1: shifting gears and like this is such a small role
- 21:43Speaker 1: compared in comparison. Yeah, I well is it? I think
- 21:47Speaker 1: it's on par with all the other sporting actors. Maybe
- 21:50Speaker 1: she's kind of driving the story forward quite a bit. Literally.
- 21:55Speaker 1: When is your rate? A nineties Christmas gave it three
- 21:58Speaker 1: and a half stars. I gave it thstars. Thank you
