• 0:16
Speaker 1: Catherine is here to say thank you as well to
• 0:19
Speaker 1: all of our listeners. Thank you, guys. We love all
• 0:22
Speaker 1: of you guys for writing in, for following up with
• 0:25
Speaker 1: us this little community that's being created, and we wish
• 0:28
Speaker 1: you a wonderful year. Yes, happy New Year. Don't forget
• 0:32
Speaker 1: to watch my special on Netflix. You guys revolution. It's
• 0:35
Speaker 1: a revolution. Are you a Christmas person or a Honeko person? Chelsea? Well,
• 0:40
  Speaker 1: I'm a Jew technically, but I don't really know how
• 0:43
Speaker 1: to spell hanakah. I know that you can spell it
• 0:45
Speaker 1: anyway you want it, and it's fine, and I don't
• 0:48
Speaker 1: really practice either. I have a tree and I have
• 0:51
Speaker 1: a hanaka minora. Oh lovely. Yes, but I'm not lighting
• 0:54
Speaker 1: candles by myself. I'm up here by myself this year.
• 0:57
Speaker 1: My family is not here how, which is a huge
• 0:59
Speaker 1: Victor three for me. We have spent so much time
• 1:02
Speaker 1: together in the last few years that when they started
• 1:05
Speaker 1: complaining about travel plants. This year, I just said, you
• 1:08
Speaker 1: know what, everybody, let's just let's take the holiday to
• 1:11
Speaker 1: ourselves and reflect. That's awesome. Yeah, Brad and I are
• 1:17
Speaker 1: also not traveling this Christmas for the first time in
• 1:19
Speaker 1: many years, and I am so pleased about it. It's great. Yeah.
• 1:25
Speaker 1: I'm like, it's our first time in our new home
• 1:28
Speaker 1: for Christmas, and we've got our tree and my parents
• 1:31
Speaker 1: are actually going to come visit a couple of days
• 1:33
Speaker 1: after Christmas, so it'll still feel Christmas. Ee nice nice, perfect. Yeah,
• 1:37
Speaker 1: and you're in your new home with your new little doggie. Yes,
• 1:40
Speaker 1: our new little puppy, Wendel benye myrbles. That's really something
• 1:46
Speaker 1: I hope Wendel teaches you about hard boiled eggs. Oh
• 1:49
Speaker 1: he has men. Those puppy farts are poisonous, disgusting. That's
• 1:54
Speaker 1: what you're doing when you're bringing hard boiled eggs onto
• 1:56
Speaker 1: a plane. You're bringing puppy farts in a bottle. I know,
• 2:00
Speaker 1: I really need to rethink my life, Joyce. Yeah, yeah,
• 2:03
Speaker 1: this is at this perfect time. We just needed somebody
• 2:06
Speaker 1: to confront you. I'm going to stay home for the
• 2:08
Speaker 1: holidays and reflect, yeah, and repent. Actually, yes, Chelsea, I
• 2:17
Speaker 1: have an update from one of our Actually this is
• 2:20
Speaker 1: just from a listener, but it was so charming and
• 2:22
Speaker 1: delightful I had to read it. This is from Claire.
• 2:25
Speaker 1: She's in Manchester, England. She says, Hi, Chelsea and Catherine,
• 2:29
Speaker 1: I'm a bottle of wine deep, so buckle up, kids.
• 2:32
Speaker 1: I thought she was going to say she's a bottom.
• 2:33
Speaker 1: I'm like, aren't we all? Yeah? I mean I actually were.
• 2:41
Speaker 1: I first heard Chelsea on Glenn and Doyle's podcast and
• 2:44
Speaker 1: absolutely loved the way she talked about her breakup and
• 2:46
Speaker 1: how she just sounded like she had her ship together.
• 2:49
Speaker 1: Then I went down a rabbit hole and listened to
• 2:52
Speaker 1: every single episode of the podcast and felt very deeply
• 2:55
Speaker 1: in love with you both and your amazing advice. Also,
• 2:58
Speaker 1: the little breadcrumbs of Brad's voice every now and then
• 3:01
Speaker 1: is genius. That was cute. I have now listened to
• 3:04
Speaker 1: every Chelsea Handler book, which I learn apart from the
• 3:08
Speaker 1: one she didn't read herself, But that says more about
• 3:10
Speaker 1: my selfishness than anything else were mine. I just wanted
• 3:15
Speaker 1: to tell you that I'm now in therapy. I have
• 3:18
Speaker 1: a psilocybin, bar of chocolate and root, and I'm ever
• 3:21
Speaker 1: so slightly codependent on you both. I have looked into
• 3:24
Speaker 1: myself more than ever before and am able to forgive
• 3:27
Speaker 1: myself and protect myself more now because of you two.
• 3:30
Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you, thank you. Claire. Oh my god, Claire,
• 3:34
Speaker 1: Hi Claire, that's so sweet. Thank you for writing that
• 3:37
Speaker 1: letter to us. Sound nice? What isn't it nice to
• 3:40
Speaker 1: know people are going down wormholes about you and you
• 3:42
Speaker 1: don't even know about. Yes, it's so exciting, and it's
• 3:46
Speaker 1: just like this podcast is doing so much good in
• 3:51
Speaker 1: so many people's lives, and these little communities are starting.
• 3:55
Speaker 1: I actually have another very exciting update. Are they monkeypox communities?
• 4:00
Speaker 1: Hopefully not. I'm fixated on monkey pots and I won't
• 4:04
Speaker 1: get past it. Everyone else has forgotten about it, but
• 4:07
Speaker 1: not chill. You know, I'm not me. I'm like, let's go. Yes.
• 4:10
Speaker 1: So we have like a whole pocket of wonderful women
• 4:13
  Speaker 1: in n y C. Who are like potentially starting a
• 4:15
Speaker 1: meetup group, which is very exciting. Really a meet up
• 4:18
Speaker 1: group like for what like for we're fans of Dear
• 4:22
Speaker 1: Chelsea and we're independent and single and like love to
• 4:24
Speaker 1: hang out and do fun things. Oh my god, I
• 4:27
Speaker 1: love it. I love it. That's like the theme of
• 4:29
Speaker 1: the special, you know, independence and single doom. I didn't
• 4:32
Speaker 1: know how many women feeling to Yes, exactly. There's a
• 4:36
Speaker 1: whole group of there's a whole swath of women out
• 4:38
Speaker 1: there that need to be represented for not getting married
• 4:41
Speaker 1: and having babies. It's true though. It's true though. And
• 4:44
Speaker 1: you know what I was thinking about this recently. I
• 4:47
Speaker 1: think something that you do for people, because you know,
• 4:51
Speaker 1: we get a lot of emails that are how do
• 4:53
Speaker 1: I say this? Should I come out and say this
• 4:55
Speaker 1: to this person? I think what you do is you're
• 4:57
Speaker 1: sort of, in a way their voice and giving them
• 5:00
Speaker 1: this boldness and you say what you think, and you're
• 5:04
Speaker 1: like not afraid to set boundaries or have difficult conversations.
• 5:09
Speaker 1: And I think it's it's a really inspiring thing for people.
• 5:12
Speaker 1: It's like they can sort of channel your voice when
• 5:14
Speaker 1: they have to have difficult conversations. Great. I would love
• 5:18
Speaker 1: nothing more than that to be my purpose in life.
• 5:23
Speaker 1: I give I provide a little bottle of bitchiness that
• 5:25
Speaker 1: you're lacking. I love that. I have another very exciting update.
• 5:33
Speaker 1: You're pregnant. No, no, I'm pregnant. Oh my gosh, Brad's pregnant.
• 5:39
Speaker 1: Brad is pregnant. He actually he gave birth to our
• 5:42
Speaker 1: little wend I know. So remember Anna who wrote in
• 5:49
Speaker 1: a couple of weeks ago and was having some dental
• 5:52
Speaker 1: work done and she was really concerned about the cause
• 5:55
Speaker 1: and she was also having some shame spirals around all
• 5:58
Speaker 1: of that stuff. Well, we talked about her go fund
• 6:02
Speaker 1: me here on the show, and as of right now,
• 6:05
Speaker 1: Dear Chelsea listeners have donated seven thousand, two hundred and
• 6:11
Speaker 1: sixty dollars toward her goal to get her dental work done,
• 6:16
Speaker 1: which is so exciting. It's so exciting. That's so nice, everybody.
• 6:21
Speaker 1: That's so nice to be generous in giving to somebody
• 6:24
Speaker 1: a need that always comes back. I just had a
• 6:27
Speaker 1: conversation with one of my relatives about generosity, you know,
• 6:31
Speaker 1: and how it always comes back, and how it's so
• 6:34
Speaker 1: good to exercise generosity and practice it whether you have
• 6:37
Speaker 1: money or time or whatever, like just not to hold
• 6:40
Speaker 1: onto things so tightly, and especially when someone is in
• 6:44
Speaker 1: need and you can help them, it feels so good.
• 6:47
Speaker 1: And especially when you have a lot of people toward
• 6:50
Speaker 1: a common goal. It's like some people donated a lot,
• 6:52
Speaker 1: some people donated five bucks, and it all goes right
• 6:56
Speaker 1: toward helping someone out. It's just wonderful. Just a couple
• 7:00
Speaker 1: of things. People have said that we're really sweet as
• 7:02
Speaker 1: well because they can leave comments in the go fund me.
• 7:05
Speaker 1: May you continue to ask for what you need without
• 7:07
Speaker 1: shame or guilt. Smile big Merry Christmas from a dear
• 7:11
Speaker 1: Chelsea listener. Proud of you. I'm so sorry you're experiencing
• 7:16
Speaker 1: this medical hardship, but you got this. I briefly hadn't
• 7:18
Speaker 1: eating disorder many years ago, so I know how hard
• 7:21
Speaker 1: this is. But you came out fighting on the other side.
• 7:24
Speaker 1: I mean, if this is what I'm talking about with
• 7:25
Speaker 1: community that's forming, it's just really exciting. How much money
• 7:30
Speaker 1: did she need to make? I mean, how much was
• 7:31
Speaker 1: the cost of everything? Like? Her total is eighteen thousand,
• 7:36
Speaker 1: and this number is just growing every single day since
• 7:40
Speaker 1: we're talking about it today. We'll pop the link right
• 7:42
Speaker 1: in the description again, so if anybody wants to donate
• 7:44
Speaker 1: that forgot too before or one and two before, it'll
• 7:47
Speaker 1: be right there in the description. So it's all a
• 7:50
Speaker 1: very happy holiday. This is great. I'm going to take
• 7:52
Speaker 1: Burton Bernice's college tuition obviously, and just throw it towards
• 7:55
Speaker 1: this woman's day. That sounds great, that sounds perfect, both
• 7:59
Speaker 1: of those two. It's aren't going to get into college
• 8:02
Speaker 1: just like their mother, you know, not even a state
• 8:04
Speaker 1: at school. No, not even community college. You know. I
• 8:08
Speaker 1: actually went to community college for one semester, and it
• 8:10
Speaker 1: was those were some of the best classes that I
• 8:14
Speaker 1: took at any of the three colleges that I went to.
• 8:16
Speaker 1: So I went to a semester of community college as well, Katherine.
• 8:20
Speaker 1: It was called the County College of Morris in Morristown,
• 8:23
Speaker 1: New Jersey, and I went and I studied Russian history.
• 8:26
Speaker 1: Very ironically, that was what I was interested in, and
• 8:29
Speaker 1: I guess that was a foreshadow to what was to
• 8:31
Speaker 1: come in my life with my Russian sister in law.
• 8:34
Speaker 1: And you're, you know, railing against Putin and all of
• 8:37
Speaker 1: these things. I'm actually so not surprised. That's like such
• 8:41
Speaker 1: an intellectual thing to decide this study. Well, you know me,
• 8:43
Speaker 1: I'm such I'm such an intellect but you are. I mean,
• 8:46
Speaker 1: you're like always reading, You're always doing your thing. Like
• 8:50
Speaker 1: I just read a great book, by the way, that
• 8:51
Speaker 1: everyone should read called The Great Alone. It's so do
• 8:54
Speaker 1: you have you read that? No, it's really intense. I
• 8:58
  Speaker 1: mean it's really about a subject matter that I wouldn't
• 9:00
Speaker 1: ever normally be interested in. Carla, my assistant, gave it
• 9:03
Speaker 1: to me out a plane and I read the whole
• 9:05
Speaker 1: thing and I was like, oh my god. It was
• 9:08
Speaker 1: about well alone, nous and moving to Alaska and like
• 9:12
Speaker 1: homesteading in Alaska, this couple family living off the grid,
• 9:17
Speaker 1: and just how dangerous and scary and alone you are,
• 9:21
Speaker 1: and like the end of the World the last for Tier.
• 9:23
Speaker 1: It's by Kristin Hannah, and she's a very descriptive writer,
• 9:26
Speaker 1: and usually that's not really my cup of tea. She's
• 9:28
Speaker 1: like kind of like a female John Steinbeck, you know,
• 9:31
Speaker 1: when there's lots of descriptive writing and lots of there's
• 9:34
Speaker 1: a lot of authors that do that, and I like
• 9:36
Speaker 1: to write dialogue, so I'm always like looking for, you know,
• 9:39
Speaker 1: something more on my side of things. But it was
• 9:42
Speaker 1: it's beautiful. She's a really good writer, and she that's lovely. Yeah,
• 9:46
Speaker 1: it's a big book, but it's worth reading. The Great Alone.
• 9:49
Speaker 1: Oh that's wonderful. And then I got home last night
• 9:52
Speaker 1: I was like, all right, I need a new book
• 9:53
Speaker 1: to start. So I picked out some Rudyard Kipling. I'm like,
• 9:55
Speaker 1: I haven't read him ever, probably, And then I read
• 9:58
Speaker 1: ted pages and thought, I know why I haven't read
• 10:01
Speaker 1: this fuck off? And then I picked up The Paper
• 10:03
Speaker 1: Palace and how I'm a hundred pages into that, so,
• 10:06
Speaker 1: you know, lovely. Yeah, I'm not reading for homework anymore.
• 10:10
Speaker 1: I've decided not during this winter, especially when I'm writing
• 10:13
Speaker 1: a book. I want to read for pleasure. Yeah. I
• 10:15
Speaker 1: went through a similar thing where I just was like, wait,
• 10:18
Speaker 1: I think I'm resisting reading right now because every book
• 10:21
Speaker 1: on my nightstand is like some medical thing or some
• 10:25
Speaker 1: this or that, and I'm like, I'm just going to
• 10:26
Speaker 1: read a fun be trade. So I just started The
• 10:29
Speaker 1: Beautiful Ruins and I'm excited. I'm very good. Yeah. Yeah,
• 10:33
Speaker 1: it's nice to lose yourself in a book. There's really
• 10:36
Speaker 1: nothing quite like it. Yeah. Okay. So our guest today
• 10:40
Speaker 1: is an author, teacher, speaker, and my favorite psychic medium ever.
• 10:45
Speaker 1: She wrote the book Signs and The Light Between Us.
• 10:48
Speaker 1: So please welcome Laura Lene Jackson. So happy to be here.
• 10:52
Speaker 1: Thank you for inviting me on. I know you don't
• 10:54
Speaker 1: love to go. You have a little bit of a
• 10:56
Speaker 1: travel situation, right. You don't love to leave New York.
• 10:59
Speaker 1: I know you live in Long Eye, but you don't
• 11:00
Speaker 1: love to go too far away from home, right. No,
• 11:04
Speaker 1: actually do like to travel. I just have so much
• 11:06
Speaker 1: going on it's hard sometimes. But Oh, I thought you
• 11:08
Speaker 1: had some sort of anxiety about like, oh really, Yeah, no,
• 11:13
Speaker 1: I love it. I'm like, let me leave my family
• 11:15
  Speaker 1: for a few days. That's what I do. I even
• 11:18
Speaker 1: have a family, and I'm ready to leave them. But
• 11:21
Speaker 1: Laura's been integral many times in my life, like when
• 11:24
Speaker 1: I've been going through a difficult time, because I am
• 11:26
Speaker 1: very open to mediumship and I am very open to
• 11:28
Speaker 1: psychic abilities. And I really feel that, as we've discussed
• 11:32
Speaker 1: on this podcast various times, the more open you are,
• 11:35
Speaker 1: the more you get to see, you know, and the
• 11:37
Speaker 1: more closed minded you are at you the more you miss.
• 11:40
Speaker 1: And especially when we lose loved ones and that grief
• 11:43
Speaker 1: is really just not even describable, it is so comforting
• 11:49
Speaker 1: to believe that those people are not really ever gone.
• 11:53
Speaker 1: And I really have learned over the course of many
• 11:55
Speaker 1: years and a lot through our relationship Laura, that that
• 12:00
Speaker 1: is so true and the more you are open to it,
• 12:02
Speaker 1: the more you feel it, the more the signs you see,
• 12:05
Speaker 1: and the more comfort you gain. So I think Laura
• 12:09
Speaker 1: tell us a little bit just refreshed people who aren't
• 12:12
Speaker 1: familiar with you. How you came about to be this
• 12:15
Speaker 1: person in everybody's lives. Yeah, so I didn't, you know,
• 12:18
Speaker 1: start out thinking, oh, hey, I'm going to become a
• 12:20
Speaker 1: psychic medium as my career. In life, I was psychic
• 12:23
Speaker 1: since I was a child. I would see people in
• 12:25
Speaker 1: colors and I would feel what they were feeling. But
• 12:27
Speaker 1: I just thought that was the way the world worked.
• 12:29
Speaker 1: I thought we all experienced that, you know. When as
• 12:31
Speaker 1: I got older, I quickly realized that's not so true.
• 12:34
Speaker 1: And then I kind of didn't know what to do
• 12:36
Speaker 1: with my abilities, so I kind of hid them for
• 12:38
Speaker 1: a while. I was a high school in this teacher
• 12:40
Speaker 1: for almost twenty years, and then I would volunteer quietly
• 12:43
Speaker 1: on the side for an organization called the Forever Family Foundation,
• 12:48
Speaker 1: helping a lot of parents who had lost children and
• 12:50
Speaker 1: we're in grief. It's a great organization. Everybody should join in.
• 12:53
Speaker 1: Membership is free. And then one day I went to
• 12:55
Speaker 1: hall duty as a teacher, and I sat down on
• 12:58
Speaker 1: my little hall duty desk and I got this huge
• 13:00
Speaker 1: download from the universe, and it was like a seven
• 13:03
Speaker 1: hour conversation in the millisecond. And they told me you're
• 13:05
Speaker 1: going to be writing a book, you're going to become
• 13:07
Speaker 1: a speaker, you're gonna go do workshops, you're gonna and
• 13:10
Speaker 1: this whole plan in front of me. And when I
• 13:13
Speaker 1: get those download, there's no emotion attached. And I'm sure
• 13:16
Speaker 1: you guys have had that experience too, right, it's just
• 13:18
Speaker 1: this knowing. And is it like a voice in your
• 13:21
Speaker 1: head that comes to you. That's such a great question. Right,
• 13:23
Speaker 1: So it's not like a voice outside of me, but
• 13:25
Speaker 1: it's almost as if I've had this really long conversation.
• 13:28
Speaker 1: It's like an energy language. It's an emotional language. You
• 13:31
Speaker 1: know how we all have subtext going on in our
• 13:33
Speaker 1: own minds, like the narratives we tell ourselves and thoughts
• 13:36
Speaker 1: running through So this these are thoughts that come to
• 13:39
Speaker 1: you rather than from you. You know, we all have
• 13:43
Speaker 1: those experiences. I just think because I'm so open and
• 13:46
Speaker 1: tuned in, I'm really cognizant when I have them, where
• 13:49
Speaker 1: other people might be like, what was that and ignore it?
• 13:51
Speaker 1: That's why. I also say, like, pay attention to the
• 13:53
Speaker 1: information you get, to the downloads you get. And what
• 13:56
Speaker 1: I love too is I always hear artists and other
• 13:59
Speaker 1: people talking about getting downloads. It's actually this term we
• 14:02
Speaker 1: all seemed to use for it. So I got my
• 14:05
Speaker 1: download and within twenty four hours I had a book
• 14:07
Speaker 1: agent and I was going and remember coming home and
• 14:09
Speaker 1: telling my husband, guess what, I'm writing a book and
• 14:12
Speaker 1: this is going to happen, and it just all unfolded.
• 14:15
Speaker 1: I don't always get that much clarity for myself because
• 14:18
Speaker 1: I think that's, you know, cheating. I'm having this human
• 14:20
Speaker 1: experience too, and it's really important for me to navigate
• 14:24
Speaker 1: spiritually my own path. But when I do have that knowing,
• 14:27
Speaker 1: I always honor it. And so that's what led me.
• 14:30
Speaker 1: Once my first book came out, I tried to teach
• 14:32
Speaker 1: and do that, but it got a little overwhelming and
• 14:34
Speaker 1: I had to make a choice. Did I want to
• 14:36
Speaker 1: commit to sharing this knowledge with the world and looking
• 14:40
Speaker 1: at the world is my classroom, or did I want
• 14:42
Speaker 1: to go back to teaching high school English, you know,
• 14:45
Speaker 1: in a four world classroom. And I quickly got clarity
• 14:48
Speaker 1: that this was my highest path, which was a little scary,
• 14:51
Speaker 1: but also I think it's so important when we have
• 14:54
Speaker 1: those moments of choice on our own spiritual journeys, our
• 14:57
Speaker 1: own life journeys, to challenge ourselves to to riot, to
• 15:01
Speaker 1: not make decisions based in fear, but to trust, to
• 15:04
Speaker 1: trust in the universe, to trust that we are all
• 15:07
Speaker 1: so loved and so protected and so very guided that
• 15:10
Speaker 1: we just need to tune in and honor that. Yeah,
• 15:13
Speaker 1: and that's something that you really imparted with me. Also
• 15:15
Speaker 1: on a more recent level, because I had filmed my
• 15:19
Speaker 1: own special this year, my stand up special, which is
• 15:22
Speaker 1: the best special I've ever done. You know, I've had
• 15:24
Speaker 1: the most clarity, the most upstanding work ethic for myself,
• 15:27
Speaker 1: the most commitment I've ever had to my craft doing this,
• 15:31
Speaker 1: And I was selling the special. I just decided to
• 15:34
Speaker 1: shoot it myself and then sell it myself because I
• 15:36
Speaker 1: wanted to maintain ownership. And after I shot it, there's
• 15:40
Speaker 1: a lot of interest from a lot of different places.
• 15:42
Speaker 1: And I called Laura and we It was also after
• 15:45
Speaker 1: I broken up with Joe, so she was kind of
• 15:46
Speaker 1: giving me guidance on that front as well. Because I
• 15:49
Speaker 1: wanted to handle myself with as much grace and dignity
• 15:51
Speaker 1: as possible, and she was crucial in making me level
• 15:56
Speaker 1: up to that. She's like, this is a soul test.
• 15:59
Speaker 1: I was like, body and I had another one. She's like,
• 16:02
Speaker 1: you must operate this way. I'm like, I'll do whatever
• 16:05
Speaker 1: you say anyway. I when I was talking to Laura
• 16:08
Speaker 1: about that, about my breakup and about she said, let's
• 16:12
Speaker 1: talk about career stuff. There's a lot of exciting things
• 16:14
Speaker 1: that are about to happen. You're about to, you know,
• 16:16
Speaker 1: sell the special. And I was like, well, where am
• 16:18
Speaker 1: I going to sell it? And she's like, I see Netflix.
• 16:21
Speaker 1: And I was like, at this point, now I wasn't
• 16:23
Speaker 1: even in conversation with Netflix because I had interest from
• 16:27
Speaker 1: three other places. Netflix had a full slate of comedy specials.
• 16:30
Speaker 1: They were saying they were closed, that they couldn't afford me.
• 16:33
Speaker 1: You know, the market had changed, blah blah blah. They
• 16:35
Speaker 1: weren't even looking for specials, so we weren't even giving
• 16:38
Speaker 1: it to Netflix. And I said, I don't even think
• 16:41
Speaker 1: it's going to Netflix. And she said, you're gonna have
• 16:43
Speaker 1: three offers and you're gonna end up at Netflix. She
• 16:46
Speaker 1: said that about four months ago. At the time I
• 16:49
Speaker 1: had zero offers and I had the Netflix hadn't even
• 16:52
Speaker 1: seen it. And a couple of months went by and
• 16:56
Speaker 1: there was still there was like a lot of chatter,
• 16:59
Speaker 1: but no firm off for from anyone, and I was
• 17:01
Speaker 1: starting to get very nervous, like, wait a second, where
• 17:04
Speaker 1: is this industry? This is my niche and media, Like
• 17:09
Speaker 1: I'm not getting any of the things that I thought
• 17:11
Speaker 1: I would get here, Like I thought it would be
• 17:13
Speaker 1: an easier haul, and it was. It turned into like
• 17:16
Speaker 1: quite a slog for me personally, for somebody who's used
• 17:19
Speaker 1: to getting a little bit more attention or respect for
• 17:23
Speaker 1: my craft. I was very stressed about it. A couple
• 17:26
Speaker 1: of months went by and I reached out to Laura
• 17:28
Speaker 1: again via text and I said, hey, listen, I don't
• 17:31
Speaker 1: have any offers yet, and I'm starting to get nervous
• 17:34
Speaker 1: that it's not going to happen. And she said, you
• 17:36
Speaker 1: need to surrender it. This is already done. Just let
• 17:39
Speaker 1: it go. You have nothing to worry about. And the
• 17:42
Speaker 1: next weekend, Netflix saw my special made me an offer,
• 17:48
Speaker 1: and then I texted her, I go, oh my god,
• 17:51
Speaker 1: Netflix just made me an offer and they wanted the special,
• 17:54
Speaker 1: and she said, but do you have three offers like
• 17:56
Speaker 1: I told you, And I said, yes, I had three
• 17:58
Speaker 1: offers just like she told Over the weekend, after she
• 18:01
Speaker 1: told me to surrender and let it go, I did.
• 18:04
Speaker 1: I thought, you know what, if I have to distribute
• 18:06
Speaker 1: it myself, then I'll do it. I had accepted the
• 18:09
Speaker 1: one thing I didn't really want to have to do.
• 18:11
Speaker 1: I didn't think that was how I wanted my special
• 18:14
Speaker 1: to be delivered. And now it is at Netflix and
• 18:16
Speaker 1: I and I'm like, oh my god, Laura. I'm like,
• 18:20
Speaker 1: I'm never talking to a therapist again. All I need
• 18:23
Speaker 1: is my psychic medium. And my asked my astrologist Jay Luna,
• 18:28
Speaker 1: who is also the two of you, if you guys
• 18:31
Speaker 1: got together, I mean the world would be over or
• 18:34
Speaker 1: or would begin again. So that's my most recent personal
• 18:37
Speaker 1: story about Laura. And I also believe that because of
• 18:42
Speaker 1: the length and duration of our relationship, I am more
• 18:46
Speaker 1: aligned now to the universe and to things that are
• 18:50
Speaker 1: working in your favor, like the idea that you know
• 18:52
Speaker 1: what's not meant for you will not pass you. I
• 18:55
Speaker 1: have more of an attitude that you don't have to
• 18:58
Speaker 1: push so hard to make things happen. It's about trusting
• 19:01
Speaker 1: that the things will happen, you know. And I think
• 19:04
Speaker 1: that's a big lesson for all of us not to
• 19:07
Speaker 1: push so hard and try to fit a circle into
• 19:09
Speaker 1: a square. Just understand that your circle is going to
• 19:12
Speaker 1: fit into some patchwork and you just have to really trust,
• 19:15
Speaker 1: especially when you have the work to back it up
• 19:18
Speaker 1: a hundred percent. And you know, you said something so
• 19:20
Speaker 1: important there, and I think you're giving away some of
• 19:22
Speaker 1: your power, you know, to me, and it's not. It's
• 19:25
Speaker 1: not the case. This was going to happen for you
• 19:27
Speaker 1: no matter what. I just for some reason I can
• 19:29
Speaker 1: really tune into your energy and read you really want.
• 19:31
Speaker 1: But the thing for you, I think it was a
• 19:33
Speaker 1: timeline of the moment you surrendered that then it would
• 19:36
Speaker 1: rush in because that was the sole challenge. That was
• 19:38
Speaker 1: where the growth was taking place for you was trusting
• 19:41
Speaker 1: and that trusting that your love protected that you are
• 19:43
Speaker 1: of incredible value here. I mean, you're a light worker
• 19:46
Speaker 1: through and through. And I don't know that you see
• 19:49
Speaker 1: that as fully about yourself as I do, because I'm
• 19:51
Speaker 1: always reading energy and seeing energy. But just what you
• 19:55
Speaker 1: bring to people like you shift people's energy and profound
• 19:58
Speaker 1: ways like laughter and joy and helping people laugh at themselves,
• 20:03
Speaker 1: laugh at the world, see things in a different way.
• 20:06
Speaker 1: You are reaching so many people that you can't even
• 20:09
Speaker 1: possibly fathom. You know, one day when you cross and
• 20:11
Speaker 1: you do your life review, be like WHOA. But for
• 20:13
Speaker 1: now you're just gonna have to have a sense of that.
• 20:16
Speaker 1: But I think when you surrendered it and you're like, okay, Universe,
• 20:20
Speaker 1: I'm letting go and if I need to do it
• 20:22
Speaker 1: this way, if that's the vehicle, I'll do it, And
• 20:24
Speaker 1: then it's swooped right in. But I think it was
• 20:27
Speaker 1: a timeline of the moment you surrendered that's going to happen.
• 20:30
Speaker 1: I think so many of us hold on to what
• 20:32
Speaker 1: we think is best for us. But the thing is,
• 20:34
Speaker 1: the universe always dreams bigger and there's always a plan,
• 20:37
Speaker 1: and our role is to just surrender it and go
• 20:40
Speaker 1: along for that ride and open. I guess the thing
• 20:42
Speaker 1: that always stumps me about that is there seem to
• 20:46
Speaker 1: be people that are so stuck that you run into
• 20:49
Speaker 1: a daily that are miserable or negative or not willing
• 20:53
Speaker 1: to evolve or or look within or grow. And like
• 20:56
Speaker 1: when we talk about what we're talking about, and since
• 20:59
Speaker 1: everyone has a purpose because we don't want to diminish
• 21:02
Speaker 1: anyone's existence, But what are the purposes of those people,
• 21:07
Speaker 1: like the people that aren't growing, or or the people
• 21:09
Speaker 1: that don't you know, have a gay son and change
• 21:12
Speaker 1: their complete outlook about having a gay child, and they
• 21:15
Speaker 1: don't open their hearts instead they remain closed, Like how
• 21:18
Speaker 1: do you view those types of people in our lives?
• 21:21
  Speaker 1: So it's that's such a great question. I think we're
• 21:24
Speaker 1: all here on Earth Earth as a school and we're
• 21:27
Speaker 1: having this collective lesson in love. So you can never
• 21:30
Speaker 1: look at your own life in terms of m I
• 21:32
Speaker 1: success or failure based on what I can see and
• 21:35
Speaker 1: what I know of my life, because you have to understand,
• 21:37
Speaker 1: like we're profoundly affecting each other in ways that we
• 21:40
Speaker 1: can't see. Right. So I think it's our responsibility as
• 21:45
Speaker 1: individuals to find the gifts we came here with, to
• 21:48
Speaker 1: find our light right, to honor them and to share
• 21:50
Speaker 1: it with others, and to trust in that process. People
• 21:53
Speaker 1: sometimes get stuck in their soul tests and their soul lessons,
• 21:57
Speaker 1: and I don't just mean for this lifetime. Sometimes it
• 21:59
Speaker 1: goes on from many life times. So if somebody is
• 22:01
Speaker 1: not growing, it's that they're spiritually stuck in a cycle
• 22:05
Speaker 1: that can change at any moment in profound ways. And
• 22:08
Speaker 1: I think also sometimes you know, we we affect others
• 22:13
Speaker 1: journeys and others paths in ways that we don't understand.
• 22:16
Speaker 1: So maybe somebody who's really grumpy and is stuck in
• 22:19
Speaker 1: like a certain soul path, they're one key thing for
• 22:22
Speaker 1: that year is to be in a certain place at
• 22:23
Speaker 1: a certain time, to be a jerk to somebody else
• 22:25
Speaker 1: so that that person doesn't leave and go down the
• 22:27
Speaker 1: street where something would have happened. Right. It kind of
• 22:30
Speaker 1: like confuses it or ties them up, like we never
• 22:33
Speaker 1: fully understand. Or somebody can be such a jerk to
• 22:36
Speaker 1: you that you promised to yourself you'll never treat another
• 22:38
Speaker 1: that way. Right, that's a huge point. So what you're
• 22:41
Speaker 1: really talking about is energy exchange, right, And when we
• 22:44
Speaker 1: get down to it, thoughts or energy and they matter
• 22:46
Speaker 1: more than we can even begin to fathom. Right. But
• 22:48
Speaker 1: when we have our own thoughts, if we're negative, we
• 22:50
Speaker 1: throw that negative energy at somebody else. When you receive that,
• 22:53
Speaker 1: you have a choice, so you can value it back
• 22:55
Speaker 1: or you're going to let it release from yourself, disengage
• 22:59
Speaker 1: from it. Right, not be reactive. I think that is
• 23:02
Speaker 1: each of our own personal like soul tests on a
• 23:04
Speaker 1: daily basis, to not be reactive to other people's negativity.
• 23:08
Speaker 1: I think it's really amazing if somebody is rude to you,
• 23:11
Speaker 1: if you can actually generally be kind, nice and nice
• 23:14
Speaker 1: back to them, you know, sometimes it will switch their
• 23:16
Speaker 1: whole energy. But even if it doesn't, you haven't absorbed
• 23:19
Speaker 1: that into your own energy then, right, And that's the
• 23:22
Speaker 1: case to not absorb other people's energy if it's negative, right,
• 23:27
Speaker 1: because if it's positive, you do want to drink it in.
• 23:30
Speaker 1: Drink it in. But I think we're all teachers to
• 23:32
Speaker 1: each other too, right, So in some people's lessons go
• 23:35
Speaker 1: a really long time, you know, Like you're talking about,
• 23:37
  Speaker 1: let's say there's a parent with a child who's gay,
• 23:39
Speaker 1: and instead of like you know, opening their belief system
• 23:42
Speaker 1: and their heart and being loving there, they stay stuck
• 23:45
Speaker 1: in a very fearful negative space. Right. Well, maybe that's
• 23:48
Speaker 1: going to take some time, and other people are involved
• 23:51
Speaker 1: in helping them evolve and shift and change, Like we
• 23:55
Speaker 1: all matter to each other so profoundly. Yeah, it's it's hard.
• 23:59
Speaker 1: You know. There was this thing on Instagram the other
• 24:00
Speaker 1: day that was showing the droves of people that crossed
• 24:04
Speaker 1: through Times Square every day, and and and and it
• 24:07
Speaker 1: was from this like thirty foot perspective, and it's just
• 24:10
Speaker 1: a bunch of ants marching right like going through. And
• 24:14
Speaker 1: I remember my brother and I were once having a conversation,
• 24:16
Speaker 1: a philosophical conversation about reincarnation, and he's like, Chelsea, please,
• 24:20
Speaker 1: we're just a bunch of ants marching on this planet.
• 24:22
Speaker 1: There's billions of people. There's no rhyme or reason. This
• 24:25
Speaker 1: is just evolution and there's nothing mystical or magical about it.
• 24:29
Speaker 1: And so when I talked to someone like you, you know,
• 24:32
Speaker 1: I I do feel more open minded about the idea
• 24:35
Speaker 1: of reincarnation, the idea, but there is a magical element
• 24:38
Speaker 1: or component that goes along with it that makes me go, well,
• 24:42
Speaker 1: I don't know, do I believe in reincarnation? Do you
• 24:44
Speaker 1: know the mysticism of all of it? Well? Why can't
• 24:47
Speaker 1: it be both? Right? Yes, there's now eight billion of
• 24:51
Speaker 1: us here on this planet and we're kind of all
• 24:53
Speaker 1: ants marching around. But I think our energy does profoundly
• 24:55
Speaker 1: affect eat. I mean, if Brad and Iyanna had an
• 24:58
Speaker 1: argument before, you both came in to this room. Even
• 25:01
Speaker 1: if you didn't have the abilities that you had, you
• 25:03
Speaker 1: would feel it. You know, It's true when they say
• 25:06
Speaker 1: you can cut it with a knife. And so what's
• 25:10
Speaker 1: really interesting too about what you're bringing up is like
• 25:12
Speaker 1: the woo woo factors what I'm going to call it.
• 25:14
Speaker 1: You know, I was raised by teachers. I'm very academic
• 25:17
Speaker 1: by nature, and the way I approached my abilities was
• 25:19
Speaker 1: really with a really huge amount of skepticism. It's one
• 25:23
Speaker 1: of the reasons that I got tested by scientists. I've
• 25:26
Speaker 1: gotten tested by different organizations before I volunteered because I
• 25:29
Speaker 1: needed to make sure this was legitimate. And while I
• 25:31
Speaker 1: might not understand all the components and how it works,
• 25:34
Speaker 1: what I do know is that it is a percent real.
• 25:37
Speaker 1: So one of the things that I'm very involved with
• 25:39
Speaker 1: is I work with a lot of scientists when it
• 25:41
Speaker 1: comes to doing research on my brain to figure out
• 25:44
Speaker 1: what my brain looks like when I'm in normal talking
• 25:46
Speaker 1: mode right now versus reading mode right But it's also
• 25:50
Speaker 1: led me to research so many other topics, including past
• 25:53
Speaker 1: lives and reincarnation. You know, it's it's interesting because I
• 25:57
Speaker 1: think my worldview and my spiritual view it sounds so
• 26:02
Speaker 1: magical and fairy tale, like, right, don't worry, You're loved
• 26:06
Speaker 1: and protected by the other side. Anybody you love is
• 26:09
Speaker 1: still with you and guiding you. You know, you come
• 26:12
Speaker 1: back in the same soul groups, you will be reunited.
• 26:14
Speaker 1: It sounds like a fairy tale and I get that,
• 26:17
Speaker 1: but it doesn't mean it's not true. So if you
• 26:20
Speaker 1: start looking at some of the research that's out there,
• 26:23
Speaker 1: take a look at University of Virginia, take a look
• 26:26
Speaker 1: at Jim Tucker, who's a research scientist there. What he
• 26:30
Speaker 1: is researching about past life recalling children. Take a look
• 26:33
Speaker 1: at what's coming out of uv A their their lab
• 26:36
Speaker 1: in terms of psychic abilities and so forth. There's another
• 26:40
Speaker 1: institute called the Rhyme which has been doing research since
• 26:43
Speaker 1: the nineteen thirties. Was founded in nineteen thirties by J. B.
• 26:47
Speaker 1: Rhyme and linked with Duke University. There's amazing research coming
• 26:50
Speaker 1: out of that. Princeton had a lab. You know. The
• 26:53
Speaker 1: problem is the researchers that are doing this really valid
• 26:57
Speaker 1: research that's proving so much much about energy interconnection, past lives,
• 27:03
Speaker 1: are souls, all of that. It's very dismissed by the
• 27:07
Speaker 1: academic community. Because people are almost embarrassed to admit that
• 27:11
Speaker 1: they're interested in it. They want to have conversations about it,
• 27:15
Speaker 1: but not on paper, so to speak. But it's fascinating,
• 27:18
Speaker 1: and I'm saying like, don't just believe me, go do
• 27:19
Speaker 1: this research. It's really it's really very valid and very fascinating.
• 27:24
Speaker 1: And how does this impact you with your kids? Can
• 27:27
Speaker 1: I ask you, like when you know when your kids
• 27:29
Speaker 1: bring around friend or boyfriend or something. I mean, you're
• 27:33
Speaker 1: able to read energy pretty quickly. So if you do
• 27:36
Speaker 1: get the bad vibe, how do you do you act
• 27:39
Speaker 1: on that to you and share that or do you
• 27:41
Speaker 1: just kind of okay? So it's kind of very a
• 27:46
Speaker 1: lot like a loaded story with this, Like when when
• 27:48
Speaker 1: they were a little I would used to like really
• 27:50
Speaker 1: tune in and I'd know when they had tests or
• 27:51
Speaker 1: what they got on their tests or when they were
• 27:54
Speaker 1: lying and they got really you know, my my oldest
• 27:56
Speaker 1: daughter who's now twenty two, she started getting really piste
• 27:59
Speaker 1: off me around like age fourteen. She's like, mom, im
• 28:02
Speaker 1: get out of my energy, Like she's so mad at me,
• 28:04
Speaker 1: and she found a way to somewhat block me where
• 28:07
Speaker 1: the other side would only give me like s os warnings.
• 28:10
Speaker 1: If something was really going off the tracks, I'd be like, Okay,
• 28:12
Speaker 1: I got this download for you. Let's talk about this,
• 28:15
Speaker 1: but I will tell you right now. Doesn't even matter
• 28:17
Speaker 1: that she had a psychic media mom and I'd be like,
• 28:19
Speaker 1: here's what's gonna happen. This guy is not good. But
• 28:22
Speaker 1: she just wanted to learn the hard way and did
• 28:24
Speaker 1: it her way. And the thing is the other side
• 28:26
Speaker 1: would show me what was coming for her too, so
• 28:29
Speaker 1: you know, we'd all be prepared. We knew what was
• 28:32
Speaker 1: about to happen. Did it make navigating those moments as
• 28:35
Speaker 1: of family easier, I guess in the sense of understanding
• 28:39
Speaker 1: that there are lessons and there's a plan and everybody
• 28:42
Speaker 1: has free will and I needed to respect her boundaries
• 28:45
Speaker 1: and her energy in that sense, right, So that was
• 28:47
Speaker 1: very helpful. But does it make like the day to
• 28:50
Speaker 1: day stuff easier when you're navigating difficult situations. No, But
• 28:54
Speaker 1: in terms of reading like energy their friends constantly, you know,
• 28:57
Speaker 1: I'll pick up, I'll do car pool and the person
• 28:59
Speaker 1: will get and I'll give like, oh that person was
• 29:01
Speaker 1: like all about their energy. And my kids are very
• 29:04
Speaker 1: psychic too, so I think our dinner conversations are probably
• 29:07
Speaker 1: not very normal, but they're normal to us. But yeah,
• 29:10
Speaker 1: everybody has energy and you don't need to be a
• 29:12
Speaker 1: psychic medium to tune into that. It's just most people
• 29:14
Speaker 1: don't pay attention to it. But take like when you
• 29:17
Speaker 1: meet somebody new, see if they just feel neutral, See
• 29:20
Speaker 1: if you feel like really pulled to them like a magnet.
• 29:22
Speaker 1: Or see if you have what I call an allergic reaction,
• 29:24
Speaker 1: which is less about judgment but just more like not
• 29:27
Speaker 1: my cup of teething. And then honor whatever you're feeling.
• 29:30
Speaker 1: But yeah, the more you open energy and you start
• 29:33
Speaker 1: sensing and feeling it, it's really a helpful tool to
• 29:36
Speaker 1: help you navigate, you know, life in the world. And
• 29:39
Speaker 1: when you say the other side, you're talking about like
• 29:42
Speaker 1: your spirit guides. Yeah, so when I talk about the
• 29:45
Speaker 1: other side, always see it like there's this three part
• 29:48
Speaker 1: kind of team of light that each and every one
• 29:50
Speaker 1: of us has, like every single person here, even putin,
• 29:53
Speaker 1: even putin okay, yeah, yeah, even putin by the way
• 29:57
Speaker 1: he fell down the stairs apparently the other day and
• 29:59
Speaker 1: shadows pay So there's something to be excited about. Side
• 30:03
Speaker 1: note continue, So we all have it right, whether or
• 30:05
Speaker 1: not we're accessing and using it is a whole another thing.
• 30:08
Speaker 1: So Putin's totally not accessing and using his team of light.
• 30:10
Speaker 1: Let's just put it there. He's using a team of darkness.
• 30:13
Speaker 1: We have got energy, right, which I see as this
• 30:15
Speaker 1: force of just love and light that we're all part
• 30:18
Speaker 1: of and we're all connected through. Right. We can call
• 30:20
Speaker 1: upon those chords of connection and light at any time
• 30:23
Speaker 1: for guidance and to like be led into our highest path.
• 30:27
Speaker 1: And then here's the woo woo part. I get that
• 30:29
Speaker 1: this sounds woo, But we all have what I call
• 30:31
Speaker 1: spirit guides. So throughout time and history, different religions have
• 30:34
Speaker 1: called them guardian angels and so forth. To me, they're
• 30:37
Speaker 1: just like very advanced spiritual beings who are not here
• 30:40
Speaker 1: in our physical life. We haven't known them, right, But
• 30:43
Speaker 1: before our souls came to earth, we contracted with them
• 30:45
Speaker 1: to be our teachers and our mentors and to guide us.
• 30:48
Speaker 1: And some people are very aware of their guides, like
• 30:51
Speaker 1: you'll talk to them be like, oh, here's what my
• 30:53
Speaker 1: guides look like, and these are their names. And other
• 30:55
Speaker 1: people just have this kind of sense of feeling protection
• 30:59
Speaker 1: or energy or guidance or being nudged sometimes, and those
• 31:02
Speaker 1: are your spirit GUIDs. Most people have between one and three,
• 31:05
Speaker 1: but sometimes people have a crazy number or you know,
• 31:08
Speaker 1: it's interesting, and then we The third part of our
• 31:10
Speaker 1: team of light is anybody we love who's crossed, including pets. Right,
• 31:14
Speaker 1: It's that loving, connecting energy. Those people will always be
• 31:19
Speaker 1: rooting for us, will always be trying to also guide
• 31:22
Speaker 1: us and help us on our highest path. They're there
• 31:24
Speaker 1: for the joyful moments, They're there for our sad moments.
• 31:27
Speaker 1: They're there for everything, you know, sometimes like silly little
• 31:31
Speaker 1: things like minutia, things like picking out what carpet you
• 31:33
Speaker 1: want or whatever that might be. But I feel like
• 31:36
Speaker 1: opening to that and feeling that presence and that guidance
• 31:39
Speaker 1: can completely transform lives, you know, because feeling that love
• 31:44
Speaker 1: and that connection and understanding that each and every one
• 31:47
Speaker 1: of us is more loved and more valued than we
• 31:52
Speaker 1: can even imagine. Yeah, it's helpful to think of it
• 31:56
Speaker 1: in that way rather than thinking of it as a god. Know,
• 32:00
Speaker 1: it is the universe in and of itself, and the
• 32:03
Speaker 1: people that are spirit guides, the people that have crossed over.
• 32:06
Speaker 1: Like I always think of my mother and brother when
• 32:09
Speaker 1: I'm in a tough spot or a happy spot, like
• 32:11
  Speaker 1: I'm always like, okay, but I I I have failed
• 32:14
Speaker 1: to neglect that there it's not just those two. There's
• 32:16
Speaker 1: other people around that are also part of it. And
• 32:19
Speaker 1: I just look at it as like, oh, there's somebody
• 32:22
Speaker 1: watching me, Like when I was I remember I was
• 32:24
Speaker 1: dating the sky when I was like in my twenties,
• 32:26
Speaker 1: and I said, I just always want to do the
• 32:28
Speaker 1: right thing even when no one's looking, because I believe
• 32:30
Speaker 1: someone is watching me. And He's like, but why not
• 32:33
Speaker 1: just do the right thing even whether or not someone's
• 32:36
Speaker 1: watching you or not. I'm like, because of somebody's watching,
• 32:38
Speaker 1: and I want to make sure that I get credit
• 32:40
Speaker 1: for doing the right thing as all points anyway, Katherine,
• 32:44
Speaker 1: do you want to ask Laura questions, any questions about
• 32:46
Speaker 1: yourself before we open it up to other people? Oh?
• 32:48
Speaker 1: My good. I mean we should give you a little
• 32:50
Speaker 1: bit energy. I know she's got the best energy. Ad
• 32:54
Speaker 1: I'm so glad. I mean, honestly, everything you were saying,
• 32:56
Speaker 1: I'm like, I felt like my career at least very
• 33:00
Speaker 1: much changed around the same time that I consciously shifted
• 33:03
Speaker 1: my energy to being like I'm gonna let go and
• 33:07
Speaker 1: let good things happen. But also my grandmother died around
• 33:10
Speaker 1: the same time, and I remember sort of having this
• 33:13
Speaker 1: like mental conversation with her about like, Okay, I've been
• 33:17
Speaker 1: throwing a lot of stuff at the wall and trying
• 33:19
Speaker 1: to see what sticks, and nothing's sticking. Like anything you
• 33:22
Speaker 1: can do up there, like help me get to the
• 33:24
Speaker 1: next stage of my life career wise. And that was
• 33:27
Speaker 1: when things started to shift, And especially during that time
• 33:30
Speaker 1: that year, I just felt her presence so much, and
• 33:32
Speaker 1: it was like I would talk to her, you know,
• 33:35
Speaker 1: like she was just right there being like I got you.
• 33:37
Speaker 1: But I think so I do have a question. So
• 33:41
Speaker 1: we have a work opportunity and we're sort of in
• 33:45
Speaker 1: a position where, you know, we're not sure if it's
• 33:47
Speaker 1: a good fit or not. And I talked to my
• 33:49
  Speaker 1: therapist about it. She's like, I don't think there's a
• 33:51
  Speaker 1: wrong answer here. I think if it's a yes, it's
• 33:53
Speaker 1: a good decision for you. I think if it's a no,
• 33:55
Speaker 1: it's a good decision for you. But when you have
• 33:58
Speaker 1: those opportunities that are really fifty fifty could be a yes,
• 34:02
Speaker 1: could be a note, how do you make that decision?
• 34:05
Speaker 1: This is such a great question. First let me just
• 34:07
Speaker 1: touch base about the beautiful things you said about the
• 34:09
Speaker 1: guidance from your grandmother, and it just reminded me to
• 34:13
Speaker 1: share with people that it's so important for us to
• 34:15
Speaker 1: ask for help. It's like there seems to be some
• 34:17
Speaker 1: rule where if we invite them, they can help more. Right,
• 34:21
Speaker 1: And we have this team alight at our disposal, like,
• 34:23
Speaker 1: let's call upon that and use it. So I absolutely
• 34:27
Speaker 1: feel your grandmother was helping so much with all of that. Now,
• 34:31
Speaker 1: have you asked your grandmother for a sign or for
• 34:34
Speaker 1: guidance on what your highest path is to go with
• 34:37
Speaker 1: this person or not? That is that's actually really interesting
• 34:41
Speaker 1: that you use that specific language because my dad and
• 34:44
Speaker 1: I I'm going to get choked up. My dad and
• 34:46
Speaker 1: I have been talking a lot about and this is
• 34:48
  Speaker 1: my dad's mother. We've been talking a lot about what's
• 34:51
Speaker 1: your highest and best use, and so that's something that's
• 34:55
Speaker 1: been very very in my mind lately. So when you
• 34:58
  Speaker 1: just said that's like, what's what's the purpose? What's the
• 35:00
Speaker 1: highest in best use that hits the nail on the head.
• 35:03
Speaker 1: But you know, I'm not sure if this fits into
• 35:07
Speaker 1: my highest and best use. I think it could be
• 35:10
Speaker 1: a fun job. I think it could be a good job,
• 35:12
Speaker 1: but also I don't know if it fits exactly in
• 35:16
Speaker 1: that niche of like, this is my highest and best use.
• 35:19
Speaker 1: So this is what I'm gonna say. I'm I'm going
• 35:21
Speaker 1: to tune in. I'm going to share information with you.
• 35:23
Speaker 1: But what I love for people to do is to
• 35:25
Speaker 1: know that they never ever ever need a psychic medium.
• 35:27
Speaker 1: I'm there for reassurance and I'm there's to step in
• 35:30
Speaker 1: and be like, look, this is there for you already, right,
• 35:32
Speaker 1: but to tune into it yourself and understand that because
• 35:35
Speaker 1: I think even things that feel fifty fifty, it's not
• 35:39
Speaker 1: fifty fifty, it's nine. And you just have to get really,
• 35:42
Speaker 1: really quiet within yourself, and then you have to split
• 35:45
Speaker 1: it into two different categories. Logically, what your little monkey
• 35:49
Speaker 1: mind would say is the highest or best path versus
• 35:52
Speaker 1: intuitively what your soul is whispering. And sometimes you have
• 35:55
Speaker 1: to get really quiet to hear that. Okay. So that said,
• 35:59
Speaker 1: when I'm feeling for you is that this opportunity is
• 36:02
Speaker 1: showing up for an absolute reason because it's making you
• 36:05
Speaker 1: test your own kind of sense of yourself and where
• 36:08
Speaker 1: you want to steer the ship of your spiritual journey
• 36:12
Speaker 1: right now. I don't think it would be a bad thing.
• 36:14
  Speaker 1: It's interesting because I keep feeling like there's almost a
• 36:17
Speaker 1: little soul test about boundaries for you and establishing what
• 36:22
Speaker 1: you want. So I'm going to say, if you say
• 36:25
Speaker 1: yes to this, be prepared to have your boundaries tested
• 36:28
Speaker 1: and you're gonna have to say three times no, no, no,
• 36:32
Speaker 1: or this is what I want, that's what I want,
• 36:34
Speaker 1: that's what I want, because it's going to keep hitting you.
• 36:36
Speaker 1: So you're learning this. Really you're mastering a soul challenge
• 36:39
Speaker 1: there right or you could be like not in the
• 36:41
Speaker 1: mood for that test right now. Circle back to me
• 36:43
Speaker 1: in two or three years, because whatever tests are there
• 36:46
Speaker 1: for you, whatever growth is there for you, it's not
• 36:48
Speaker 1: going to disappear. You know, our our team will. I
• 36:51
Speaker 1: will be like, Okay, hey, no problem, We'll circle back
• 36:53
Speaker 1: to you with that. And I've done that before in
• 36:55
Speaker 1: my life. I've been like, I'm not ready for that,
• 36:57
Speaker 1: come back in a year or two, and it will.
• 36:59
Speaker 1: So it's really up to you. I also feel like
• 37:01
Speaker 1: there's a whole another almost like emotional personal like family
• 37:06
Speaker 1: focus going on as well, So it's like your team
• 37:09
Speaker 1: of light going which one do you want to explore
• 37:12
Speaker 1: right now? What would you take your beautiful light energy
• 37:14
Speaker 1: and spend it on. Do you want to master this
• 37:17
Speaker 1: test or do you want to devote your time and
• 37:19
Speaker 1: your light energy to this right now? And in that sense,
• 37:22
Speaker 1: there's not a right or wrong answer, because it's your
• 37:24
Speaker 1: free will choice. You have to get quiet within yourself
• 37:28
Speaker 1: and decide which one's pulling at you a little harder
• 37:31
Speaker 1: that I have a question if she is say she
• 37:35
Speaker 1: does take on this opportunity and that that this opportunity
• 37:38
Speaker 1: presents the opportunity to set boundaries and say no, no, no,
• 37:42
Speaker 1: is that a necessary exercise that she that she has
• 37:45
Speaker 1: to go through. Isn't that something that might just cause
• 37:48
Speaker 1: more problems and maybe k chaos as an overstatement, but
• 37:51
Speaker 1: like I will say, the language that you use that
• 37:54
Speaker 1: you're just repeated as literally the exact conversations we've been
• 37:57
Speaker 1: having of like this would be a good opper tunity
• 38:00
Speaker 1: for me to like exercise those skills and like build
• 38:03
Speaker 1: those muscles and sort of be working in this in
• 38:06
Speaker 1: the space of like some personal things that I've learned.
• 38:10
Speaker 1: Boundaries is a big one, but just like these things
• 38:13
Speaker 1: that I've been working on so much in therapy, were like,
• 38:16
Speaker 1: I feel like I've been able to say like, Okay,
• 38:18
Speaker 1: here's where my energy starts and stops and whatever somebody
• 38:20
Speaker 1: else is feeling or thinking if I haven't done something
• 38:23
Speaker 1: terrible to them, obviously that's their stuff, you know, And
• 38:27
Speaker 1: so it truly it was like, the big question is
• 38:30
Speaker 1: this could be an opportunity for me to strengthen those muscles.
• 38:33
Speaker 1: So literally exactly what you said, I'm like, that's the
• 38:35
Speaker 1: conversation we had yesterday, very specifically for what it's worth.
• 38:40
  Speaker 1: I think you'd rock it. I think you'd pass it
• 38:42
Speaker 1: with flying color. It's just gonna be a little annoying
• 38:43
Speaker 1: for a while, you know, like you I'm gonna three
• 38:46
Speaker 1: times like and then okay, that lessons done. Now it's
• 38:49
Speaker 1: it's learned, you know. But it's kind of like if
• 38:52
Speaker 1: if I was like, Hey, I'm gonna I really want
• 38:54
Speaker 1: to trage to run a five k, and then I'm like,
• 38:55
Speaker 1: do I want to do it now? Or they just
• 38:56
Speaker 1: want to sit on the couch for another year? You know.
• 38:58
Speaker 1: It's kind of like it's gonna wait for you that lesson,
• 39:01
Speaker 1: and I don't feel like it's going to be very challenging.
• 39:03
Speaker 1: For you. I actually feel like you're gonna feel really
• 39:05
Speaker 1: empowered as you own your own light energy. Because let's
• 39:09
Speaker 1: get down to it, the relationship we have with ourself
• 39:12
Speaker 1: is the most important one we ever have. Right, So
• 39:14
Speaker 1: it's about honoring your light by respecting your boundaries, by
• 39:18
Speaker 1: using your voice, by spending your energy and beautiful ways
• 39:22
Speaker 1: that honor your highest path. Right. So that's feeling right
• 39:26
Speaker 1: for you, and you want to take that challenge on now?
• 39:28
Speaker 1: You will. You'll rock it, You'll ace it, no worries.
• 39:31
Speaker 1: So I'll just tell you now, like short, long and
• 39:33
Speaker 1: short of, it's a win win either way. An excellent. Well,
• 39:39
Speaker 1: on that note, should we take a little break and
• 39:40
Speaker 1: get to some collars. Okay, we're gonna take a quick
• 39:43
Speaker 1: break and we'll be right back. And we're back. We're back,
• 39:51
Speaker 1: We're back, and this this episode comes to you from Robodescent. Well,
• 39:56
Speaker 1: our first question comes from Chloe. She says, you're Chelsea.
• 40:01
Speaker 1: It's starting to feel like I'm financially cursed with unemployment.
• 40:04
Speaker 1: I've applied to well over a hundred and fifty jobs
• 40:07
Speaker 1: and have only gotten one. Unfortunately, the job I scored
• 40:10
Speaker 1: is a part time freelance gig that doesn't pay well.
• 40:13
  Speaker 1: I have a decent resume, or so I thought. I've
• 40:15
Speaker 1: done college internships, volunteering, the works. Why won't anyone hire me?
• 40:20
Speaker 1: Do I suck that bad? Am? I delusional? What the
• 40:23
Speaker 1: hell is wrong here? I need an honest opinion. Background.
• 40:27
Speaker 1: I'm a thirty year old chick living in l A County.
• 40:29
  Speaker 1: I have a car, a computer, and a website with
• 40:31
  Speaker 1: my work. I have a b a in psychology and
• 40:33
Speaker 1: studio art and an m f a in creative writing.
• 40:36
Speaker 1: Graphic design is my passion. Jobs I've been applying to
• 40:39
Speaker 1: include graphic design, copyrighting, copy editing, and editorial. I'm a
• 40:43
Speaker 1: phenomenal employee and I love to work. Sincerely, Chloe. Okay,
• 40:49
Speaker 1: Hi Chloe. Hi, Sorry, I'm in my car. Hi. This
• 40:53
Speaker 1: is our special guest today, Laura Lynn Jackson. Hi, Hi Chloe.
• 40:57
Speaker 1: How are you? I'm good. I just zoomed out on
• 41:00
Speaker 1: my stupid minimum wage job for lunch to do this,
• 41:03
Speaker 1: so I'm really excited to see you guys. Oh my god. Okay,
• 41:06
Speaker 1: so tell us about you. What's your problem? You can't
• 41:08
Speaker 1: find a job that you like or you can't get hired.
• 41:11
  Speaker 1: I cannot get hired, and I don't know. I just
• 41:14
  Speaker 1: don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have a portfolio
• 41:18
Speaker 1: of all copyrighting stuff and graphic design. I've gone to
• 41:22
  Speaker 1: grad school, I've I went to internships, I volunteered. I
• 41:27
Speaker 1: feel like on paper, I've checked like every box. But
• 41:31
Speaker 1: for some weird reason, I just cannot catch a break.
• 41:35
Speaker 1: I've applied to way more than a hundred jobs, like
• 41:39
Speaker 1: way more. I don't know what I'm doing. And do
• 41:42
Speaker 1: you think it's something that's happening during the interview process.
• 41:46
Speaker 1: Maybe I do have bad anxiety, but I've I've been
• 41:50
Speaker 1: prescribed to anxiety meds, so I feel like that's not
• 41:53
Speaker 1: a good excuse. But that has been a problem before
• 41:56
Speaker 1: in the past. Yeah, well, maybe that is part of
• 41:59
Speaker 1: the problem. I'm sure it's not the whole problem. I mean,
• 42:01
Speaker 1: we're in a very difficult time in this country right now.
• 42:04
Speaker 1: Even though everybody needs a job, nobody wants to work.
• 42:07
Speaker 1: So there's like this weird crossover of people who are
• 42:10
Speaker 1: trying to work and people are actively trying to never
• 42:13
Speaker 1: work again. Services all is just such a hot mess
• 42:16
Speaker 1: right now. So I mean, I think that probably permeates
• 42:19
Speaker 1: in all aspects of society. But Laura can you take
• 42:22
Speaker 1: a look at her energy and tell us what you see.
• 42:24
Speaker 1: Laura's a psychic medium. Oh my gosh. So yeah, yeah,
• 42:28
Speaker 1: so she's I've known her for years. She is the
• 42:31
Speaker 1: real deal. So I'm gonna have her help you take
• 42:34
Speaker 1: a look at yourself and see what she sees. Is
• 42:36
Speaker 1: that okay, clothe to have permission to kind of dive
• 42:38
Speaker 1: into your energy a little bit. Yes, absolutely, I mean
• 42:42
Speaker 1: I'm kind of shifting right now, so my aura maybe
• 42:44
Speaker 1: a little know. You have no no, no, you have
• 42:48
Speaker 1: a your core or is blue, which means you're here
• 42:50
Speaker 1: really is a teacher and a healer energy for others.
• 42:52
Speaker 1: There such kindness in your heart. Yeah, So the first
• 42:55
Speaker 1: thing I want to talk to about is harnessing your energy,
• 42:58
Speaker 1: your light energy, and creating a blueprint for what your
• 43:02
Speaker 1: highest dream is in terms of a career. What I'm
• 43:04
Speaker 1: feeling for you energetically, it's like if we had all
• 43:07
Speaker 1: this energy and we just started giving it out to
• 43:09
Speaker 1: everybody right a little bit here and there. You're spending
• 43:11
Speaker 1: your energy, but you're not directing it. So have you
• 43:14
Speaker 1: ever sat down with pen and paper or you could
• 43:17
Speaker 1: do this like on the computer or your phone and
• 43:19
Speaker 1: written out your dream job, what you would want, where
• 43:22
Speaker 1: it would be, what your job duties would be, what
• 43:25
Speaker 1: it would be doing for you energetically, what your salary
• 43:28
Speaker 1: would be. Have you done that yet? No? I haven't,
• 43:31
Speaker 1: but that sounds really fun. Okay, So what's going on
• 43:34
Speaker 1: with your energy is you're just scattering it. You're not
• 43:36
Speaker 1: valuing your own worth. You're saying, oh my gosh, I'm
• 43:38
Speaker 1: coming from this place of fear and desperation, Give me anything,
• 43:42
Speaker 1: does anything totally And you don't need to do that.
• 43:45
Speaker 1: You don't need to do that. You need to decide
• 43:48
Speaker 1: for yourself what your vision is for your path going forward.
• 43:53
Speaker 1: If anything you know no holds barred, you could achieve
• 43:56
Speaker 1: anything you want and get whatever job you wanted right now?
• 44:00
Speaker 1: What would that be? Can you just describe it to
• 44:02
Speaker 1: me a little, like what energy would you want to
• 44:04
Speaker 1: be feeling when you worked, what would your job duties be?
• 44:07
Speaker 1: How close would you want it to be? And you
• 44:10
Speaker 1: don't have to say it out that, but like, what
• 44:11
Speaker 1: salary would you want? What benefits would you want? These
• 44:14
Speaker 1: are all things you need to focus on. So what
• 44:17
Speaker 1: do you feel like your light gifts are? Like? What
• 44:19
Speaker 1: would you want to explore in your career that you're doing,
• 44:22
Speaker 1: if you could do anything you wanted, well, in a
• 44:25
Speaker 1: weird way, I already have my dream job, but it
• 44:29
Speaker 1: just doesn't pay. Um My, my totally like ultimate dream
• 44:34
Speaker 1: would be to be a fashion editor for a magazine,
• 44:37
Speaker 1: and I do that with this little magazine. It's called
• 44:40
Speaker 1: Mared magazine like ship in French, and it's kind of satirical,
• 44:47
Speaker 1: but we try to uplift marginalized designers and showcase small
• 44:51
Speaker 1: voices like that in the fashion industry. So that really
• 44:55
Speaker 1: is my dream editing stuff, art directing, doing a little
• 44:58
Speaker 1: graphic design, your little writing. But it's just such a
• 45:03
Speaker 1: small thing. There's really no budget, so I just worked
• 45:06
Speaker 1: there for free, like for passion. But if that could
• 45:09
Speaker 1: pay my bills, that really would be my dream job.
• 45:13
Speaker 1: Editor at a magazine. That's really really wonderful, And I
• 45:16
Speaker 1: think knowing that about yourself is key and what you
• 45:18
Speaker 1: can kind of program to the universe is like, this
• 45:21
Speaker 1: is my goal, this is what I want. The thing
• 45:23
Speaker 1: is money is really about energy, right, and so working
• 45:28
Speaker 1: for free because you're passionate about it, I get that too.
• 45:31
Speaker 1: That's like volunteering your energy. But I would say you
• 45:33
Speaker 1: need to have a conversation where with the universe, where
• 45:36
Speaker 1: you now say I love doing this, but now I
• 45:38
Speaker 1: need this to be able to bring money in for
• 45:41
Speaker 1: me to continue it. Right, I would leave that running
• 45:45
Speaker 1: in the background, and I would almost say, like, what
• 45:47
Speaker 1: else would there be that would allow you to have
• 45:50
Speaker 1: enough time and energy to do your passion project? Allow
• 45:53
Speaker 1: that to kind of build into something greater. Co collaborate
• 45:57
Speaker 1: with the universe by saying, like, lead me to where
• 45:59
Speaker 1: I'm supposed to go so that I can continue to
• 46:01
Speaker 1: do what I'm passionate about. But in the meantime, show
• 46:04
Speaker 1: me where I'm supposed to be to bring the finances
• 46:07
Speaker 1: and to bring the money in. Because I think to
• 46:09
Speaker 1: one of the things when we're not working, right, when
• 46:12
Speaker 1: we were out of work or we can't find a job,
• 46:14
Speaker 1: what I tap into is that feeling of where is
• 46:17
Speaker 1: my worth? Feeling kind of desperate and a little bit hopeless.
• 46:22
Speaker 1: Now that energy stream is going to lead you down
• 46:25
Speaker 1: the drain. Right, we have to embrace that we are worthy,
• 46:28
Speaker 1: we are light filled, and we have purpose. We have
• 46:31
Speaker 1: to honor our passions, we have to trust in our path. Right,
• 46:35
Speaker 1: But it's also having a conversation with the universe saying, Okay,
• 46:38
Speaker 1: bring something to me for right now to help me
• 46:40
Speaker 1: get through this and kind of rebuild my light energy.
• 46:43
Speaker 1: So the number one homework assignment for you is to
• 46:45
Speaker 1: sit down and to write out I would have two columns.
• 46:48
Speaker 1: One is about what you're passionate about with fashion and
• 46:51
Speaker 1: everything you want to do with that and how you'd
• 46:53
Speaker 1: like that to evolve. And the other is the right now,
• 46:55
Speaker 1: what right now job could you get to that you'd
• 46:57
Speaker 1: bring bringing in money, you can still do what you're
• 47:00
Speaker 1: passionate about and allow that to unfold over time and
• 47:03
Speaker 1: be built into a career. Right, what would the parameters
• 47:06
Speaker 1: be and what would you want to do? Because then
• 47:08
Speaker 1: you're directing your energy in a very clear way, and
• 47:11
Speaker 1: I want you to embrace that as if it's already happened.
• 47:14
Speaker 1: You've already gotten the job. You're already going to be
• 47:16
Speaker 1: making the money because the energy you bring to it.
• 47:18
Speaker 1: And especially when we get into manifesting, which is really
• 47:21
Speaker 1: just directing energy and thoughts and co collaborating with the universe,
• 47:25
Speaker 1: you have to feel it. You can't be in a
• 47:27
Speaker 1: state of wishing or hoping or waiting, right you have
• 47:30
Speaker 1: to be like this is going to happen for me
• 47:32
Speaker 1: and I'm so excited about it. So getting into that
• 47:34
Speaker 1: joyful space personally for you, I see a seven months
• 47:38
Speaker 1: journey going on. But I think in about three months
• 47:40
Speaker 1: you're going to something good. It's going to come in,
• 47:42
Speaker 1: Like there's gonna be a job that comes in, and
• 47:45
Speaker 1: I think you take that, and I think then from
• 47:48
Speaker 1: months three to seven, So we're in three months from now,
• 47:51
Speaker 1: we're in December Chin, so like March and then July
• 47:55
Speaker 1: will be important for you in terms of getting something
• 47:58
Speaker 1: and then like the universe almost offering you something else.
• 48:01
Speaker 1: You're asking you another question at the seven month mark.
• 48:03
Speaker 1: So this is coming for you no matter what it's like.
• 48:05
Speaker 1: If you were waiting for a plane to arrive and
• 48:07
Speaker 1: you're in the waiting room, are you going to stress
• 48:09
Speaker 1: and be anxious the whole time and pace back and forth?
• 48:11
Speaker 1: Are you going to go find like a really good
• 48:13
Speaker 1: book or do something creative and fill that space in
• 48:16
Speaker 1: another way? So I think what I'm trying to say
• 48:18
Speaker 1: to you is for the next three months, this will happen.
• 48:20
Speaker 1: Build that confidence like trust in the universe, own your light,
• 48:25
Speaker 1: celebrate yourself, do things daily that you say to yourself
• 48:29
Speaker 1: I'm really proud of who I am in the world,
• 48:30
Speaker 1: and I really really honor like the gifts I came
• 48:33
Speaker 1: here with in my light, and I'm so excited for
• 48:35
Speaker 1: the universe to guide me in my my highest path
• 48:39
Speaker 1: into whatever job I'm meant to be doing. And really
• 48:41
Speaker 1: feel that, and repeat that to yourself, because you are
• 48:44
Speaker 1: so worthy and you're such a gift to this world.
• 48:47
Speaker 1: Each one of us comes program with our own like
• 48:49
Speaker 1: incredible light and gifts and talents. Right is trusting in
• 48:53
Speaker 1: that and knowing knowing that about yourself? Okay, thank you?
• 48:56
Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, just shifting that in my mind thinking
• 49:00
Speaker 1: it's already coming, and just focus on not being such
• 49:04
Speaker 1: a tightly wound ball of desperation. I know I've heard
• 49:08
Speaker 1: people say a rejection can be a redirection, but I
• 49:12
Speaker 1: got so many rejections that it kind of had me spinning, like, yes, okay,
• 49:17
Speaker 1: I got rejected for graphic design, maybe I'll pivot to copyrighting.
• 49:21
Speaker 1: And then it just kind of got me in this
• 49:22
Speaker 1: identity crisis. And so what you're telling me to do
• 49:26
Speaker 1: is returned to myself, stop spinning my wheels and like
• 49:30
Speaker 1: being in this chaotic state and focus on what I
• 49:33
Speaker 1: really want instead of what I can be given or
• 49:37
Speaker 1: something a percent. And I love what you said about
• 49:39
Speaker 1: rejection because that in and of itself is a soul
• 49:42
Speaker 1: test you've been faced with and you've been challenged with.
• 49:44
Speaker 1: So to get through rejection without feeling destroyed by it
• 49:48
Speaker 1: or less than because of it, to realize, Wow, maybe
• 49:51
Speaker 1: this is redirection or trusting what you said before, Chelsea,
• 49:55
Speaker 1: that whatever is meant for you is going to find
• 49:58
Speaker 1: you right and trusting at the universe is going to
• 50:01
Speaker 1: dream bigger for you. That you might have the small,
• 50:03
Speaker 1: kind of myopic view of what you think you want,
• 50:05
Speaker 1: but rejection is redirecting you into something greater, you know.
• 50:09
Speaker 1: So I love that you brought that up, and also
• 50:11
Speaker 1: to remember the excuse my voice, but to remember that
• 50:14
Speaker 1: the test of being rejected, if you react to it
• 50:17
Speaker 1: the same way each time, then it's going to come
• 50:20
Speaker 1: around again until you have a different reaction. So once
• 50:25
Speaker 1: you have the different reaction to being rejected and you
• 50:28
Speaker 1: do surrender it because you're bigger, trust is in the
• 50:31
Speaker 1: universe and what it has in store for you. I
• 50:33
Speaker 1: believe the sooner that those things will come to you,
• 50:36
Speaker 1: and then you can stop learning the lesson of rejection
• 50:39
Speaker 1: because you've you've nailed it, you know what I mean.
• 50:42
Speaker 1: So don't let that bring you down. Every rejection is
• 50:44
Speaker 1: bringing you closer to the acceptance that you're looking for.
• 50:47
Speaker 1: And I can vouch for all of this. When I
• 50:50
Speaker 1: made the switch to podcasting, I had been doing podcasting
• 50:54
Speaker 1: on my own like you for free, like my passion projects,
• 50:58
Speaker 1: and I had been in putting out resume after resume
• 51:02
Speaker 1: in the marketing space because that's what I came up doing,
• 51:05
Speaker 1: and I couldn't even get a call back. Like nothing
• 51:08
Speaker 1: I did, all the like keywords in your resume and
• 51:10
Speaker 1: all these different things that did everything right, could not
• 51:13
Speaker 1: get a call back. The second I was like, well,
• 51:15
Speaker 1: fuck this, that's not what I want to work in anyway.
• 51:17
Speaker 1: I want to work in podcasting. And I put out
• 51:20
Speaker 1: a podcasting resume. Within two weeks I got a call
• 51:24
Speaker 1: for like my first paid job in podcasting, and it
• 51:28
Speaker 1: was awesome. So this, yeah, and just by looking at you,
• 51:34
  Speaker 1: I'm not a psychic or a medium, but I can
• 51:36
Speaker 1: tell how wonderful and loving and you have light all
• 51:39
Speaker 1: around you. So just remember that, Okay, remember that you yes,
• 51:46
Speaker 1: and Chloe, would you be okay if we share your
• 51:48
Speaker 1: website on the show. Oh my gosh, yes please. Okay,
• 51:52
Speaker 1: her website is in the show notes, so take a
• 51:54
Speaker 1: look at the description. And she's great. Hire her great, awesome,
• 51:59
Speaker 1: Thank you so much. This is amazing. All three of
• 52:02
Speaker 1: you are amazing. Thank you you all four of us. Girl,
• 52:08
Speaker 1: thank you so much. Let us know what happens in
• 52:11
Speaker 1: March and July. Okay, I definitely will chuck back. Okay, bye,
• 52:18
Speaker 1: she's great. I know, I was like, we gotta have
• 52:20
Speaker 1: her on. That's amazing. With Laura specifically, I know, how
• 52:24
Speaker 1: would I have answered that question? If Laura you are amazing?
• 52:27
Speaker 1: That was like the most masterful answer, Like, that's exactly right.
• 52:30
Speaker 1: It's about like once you master that lesson of getting rejected,
• 52:34
Speaker 1: that's when it frees off the rejection. You're so smart
• 52:37
Speaker 1: with that. The rejection, Well, I learned it from you.
• 52:39
Speaker 1: The rejection lesson is the biggest lesson that people have
• 52:42
Speaker 1: the hardest time learning because it is such a childlike
• 52:46
Speaker 1: feeling rejection, right, it's just never grows up, and it's
• 52:51
Speaker 1: so easy to internalize it. You're like, well, this means
• 52:53
Speaker 1: something's wrong with me, and it's like not at all.
• 52:56
Speaker 1: Maybe you just need to change direction, or when people say, oh,
• 52:58
Speaker 1: don't take it personally, it's fuck you personal. Well. Our
• 53:08
Speaker 1: next question comes from Corey. He is twenty nine, and
• 53:14
Speaker 1: he says, Dear Chelsea, I would love some advice on
• 53:17
Speaker 1: this guy I'm dating. We've been seeing each other for
• 53:20
Speaker 1: about a month. We've spent lots of time together. He's
• 53:22
Speaker 1: met a few of my friends, and we both feel
• 53:24
Speaker 1: like this has the potential to be serious. Here's the
• 53:27
Speaker 1: hurdle I'm facing. He moved to the US several months
• 53:30
Speaker 1: ago and is working on getting citizenship. The paths available
• 53:33
Speaker 1: to him will either force his visa to expire or
• 53:36
Speaker 1: require him to go to his home country and reapply.
• 53:39
Speaker 1: The problem is he's from Kenya, He's gay, and homosexuality
• 53:42
Speaker 1: is criminalized there, so that's not a safe option. I've
• 53:46
Speaker 1: been helping research and provide resources, even connecting him with
• 53:49
Speaker 1: a friend with a company in his line of work
• 53:51
Speaker 1: that might sponsor him. But the only option that can
• 53:54
Speaker 1: provide him help in a timely manner is marriage. He
• 53:57
Speaker 1: brought it up as an option, but was adam that
• 54:00
Speaker 1: me saying no does not affect us dating. He can
• 54:03
Speaker 1: find another way if necessary, and wants to pursue whatever
• 54:05
Speaker 1: we end up being. The thing is, I'm considering doing it.
• 54:09
Speaker 1: I'm not precious about marriage. Worst case, we can divorce
• 54:12
Speaker 1: within a couple of years and it won't affect his immigration,
• 54:15
Speaker 1: and I can get some additional financial security in the
• 54:17
Speaker 1: form of a dowry, which is common in his culture.
• 54:20
Speaker 1: Best case, we stayed together for a long time. I
• 54:23
Speaker 1: really care about this guy, and he seems to feel
• 54:25
Speaker 1: the same way. I feel pretty grounded as I'm considering
• 54:28
Speaker 1: this option, but there's still that fear that maybe I've
• 54:31
Speaker 1: got some rose colored classes on what advice do you
• 54:34
Speaker 1: have for the swacky scenario? I'd love to hear some
• 54:36
Speaker 1: new perspectives. Thanks, Corey, Hi, Corey, Hi, Chelsea, Hi, Katherine,
• 54:43
Speaker 1: and Laura Lynn Jackson here, who's the psychic medium. She's
• 54:46
Speaker 1: here today as our special guest. Hi, Lauren's awesome to
• 54:49
Speaker 1: meet you. Okay, so you've been you've been dating a
• 54:54
Speaker 1: Kenyan guy for one month? Yeah, a little over a
• 54:57
Speaker 1: month at this point. Huh. And if you were to
• 54:59
Speaker 1: get me married to him, and it's great that you're
• 55:01
Speaker 1: not precious about getting married. I am also not like
• 55:03
  Speaker 1: if I could do somebody a favor, I would I
• 55:05
Speaker 1: would be more likely to do it if we weren't
• 55:07
Speaker 1: romantically involved than if we were, because that way it's
• 55:11
Speaker 1: understood in the beginning. And the only concern I would
• 55:14
Speaker 1: have for you is I don't want you to get,
• 55:16
Speaker 1: you know, duped into something or have expectations of a
• 55:19
Speaker 1: relationship that may not work out, and you know, may
• 55:23
Speaker 1: And I think if you go into it for the
• 55:24
Speaker 1: right reasons, knowing that this could go either way and
• 55:28
Speaker 1: that you're just basically trying to help somebody, but I
• 55:30
Speaker 1: think there also has to be a real like groundwork
• 55:33
Speaker 1: of laying the foundation for the parameters of that relationship
• 55:36
Speaker 1: before you enter into it, right. Yeah, And we've talked
• 55:39
Speaker 1: about that a little bit because when it was first
• 55:42
Speaker 1: brought up, like, he hasn't pressured me at all, which
• 55:44
Speaker 1: I appreciate, And it was very much like, if we
• 55:47
Speaker 1: don't do it, we're still going to date. It's not
• 55:48
Speaker 1: gonna affect anything. But I was asking questions, like what
• 55:52
Speaker 1: happens then if we move in together, which we probably would,
• 55:56
Speaker 1: and like what that would look like any serves specific boundaries,
• 55:59
Speaker 1: and we kind of just thought about just dating as
• 56:02
Speaker 1: if we're new boyfriends instead of pretending we're doing this
• 56:06
Speaker 1: whole marriage thing, like be married in paperwork, but then
• 56:09
Speaker 1: kind of everything else just be like a relationship. Okay, well,
• 56:12
Speaker 1: I'm going to have Laura take a look at you
• 56:14
Speaker 1: and see what she sees about this situation. Okay, A
• 56:18
Speaker 1: couple of things. First of all, I keep seeing him
• 56:20
Speaker 1: go back and then return to the US and three months.
• 56:23
Speaker 1: So even though you're saying, oh, hey, this is the
• 56:26
Speaker 1: only path and this is that's not what I'm seeing.
• 56:28
Speaker 1: So what kind of scenario would it be where he
• 56:30
Speaker 1: would go back and then return within a three month
• 56:33
Speaker 1: period but be here for a long time after that. Yeah,
• 56:36
Speaker 1: it's certainly not the only path. We've talked about. A
• 56:39
Speaker 1: couple of things. The biggest issue with him going back
• 56:41
Speaker 1: to Kenya is that they're being gay is illegal, any
• 56:44
Speaker 1: risks potentially being thrown in jail. But a big thing too,
• 56:49
Speaker 1: is just any other path forward, like if you get
• 56:51
Speaker 1: sponsored for citizenship or even applies for asylum. It takes
• 56:56
Speaker 1: years to get to the point where he's legally able
• 56:58
Speaker 1: to work or gets AiZ in ship. And that's kind
• 57:01
Speaker 1: of why the marriage is potentially an option, just because
• 57:05
Speaker 1: everything else takes so long. So is there any scenario
• 57:08
Speaker 1: where he would go back, reapply for a visa, and
• 57:10
Speaker 1: be back here in three months. I don't know why
• 57:12
  Speaker 1: I keep seeing this, um it's a possibility. I don't
• 57:14
Speaker 1: know if it would be three months. His current visa
• 57:18
Speaker 1: expires in February. That's about three months, But I don't
• 57:22
Speaker 1: know how long if you went back to Kenya and reapplied,
• 57:24
Speaker 1: I have no idea how long that would take. If
• 57:26
Speaker 1: his visa expires in three months, then what happens. He
• 57:29
Speaker 1: doesn't have to go back to Kenya to re establish it.
• 57:32
Speaker 1: He could do that from me or it depends. So
• 57:34
Speaker 1: once his visa expires, if he doesn't have an approved
• 57:38
Speaker 1: sponsorship through employment or or any other way, or like
• 57:41
Speaker 1: if you did asylum, the processing times for those take
• 57:45
Speaker 1: longer than three months, so he would end up being
• 57:47
Speaker 1: in here in the country illegally. Basically nice, Okay, It's
• 57:53
Speaker 1: interesting because I feel like you're there are two different
• 57:55
Speaker 1: paths we're looking at here. One is like the logical,
• 57:58
Speaker 1: practical path, and then the other is a spiritual emotional path. Right,
• 58:02
Speaker 1: So when I look at his energy too, he feels
• 58:04
Speaker 1: like he feels very gentle, like he has a very
• 58:06
Speaker 1: open heart. I feel like this scenario could sound shady
• 58:10
Speaker 1: if you will, but when I look at his energy,
• 58:12
Speaker 1: I don't feel like he's shady. I'm going to say that.
• 58:14
Speaker 1: I feel like he's just very loving. That said, you know,
• 58:18
Speaker 1: even if you were to get married on paper, that's
• 58:21
Speaker 1: that's like a logical paper type of thing. The spiritual
• 58:25
Speaker 1: and emotional journey for you too, it's gonna make it
• 58:27
Speaker 1: more challenging. I'm just gonna be honest in that sense,
• 58:29
Speaker 1: because it's like putting the cart before the horse. But
• 58:32
Speaker 1: it would make a really great movie, you know, like
• 58:34
Speaker 1: these two people get married and then we see what happens,
• 58:37
Speaker 1: and then like the real romance happens and all that.
• 58:39
Speaker 1: But that said, I keep getting the sense that the
• 58:43
Speaker 1: way this is being presented, and I do not know
• 58:45
Speaker 1: much about immigration law and visas and how this works,
• 58:48
Speaker 1: so I'm just going on my downloads. What you keep saying.
• 58:51
  Speaker 1: I feel like there's a third option, Like we're creating
• 58:54
Speaker 1: a false scenario, like it's either this or that, Like,
• 58:57
  Speaker 1: but there's there's a middle ground where it's like you
• 58:59
  Speaker 1: don't have to get married. I don't know if it's
• 59:02
Speaker 1: that you get engaged and he comes back or what
• 59:05
Speaker 1: that is, but I feel like it doesn't have to
• 59:06
Speaker 1: be that extreme, so to speak. If you wanted to
• 59:10
Speaker 1: do because of logical reasons for him get married, what
• 59:14
Speaker 1: I would say to you is, I see a lot
• 59:15
Speaker 1: of other background paperwork that you need to do to
• 59:18
Speaker 1: inform yourself for the legalities of that. For what that
• 59:21
Speaker 1: would mean about, I don't know, like if you have
• 59:24
Speaker 1: like a work environment and your your salary, your benefits,
• 59:29
Speaker 1: like there's a whole lot more involved, is what I'm seeing.
• 59:32
Speaker 1: But I really feel like there's this third path where
• 59:35
Speaker 1: it's like he goes there and comes back, but we
• 59:37
Speaker 1: haven't forced a marriage quite yet. You know. I do
• 59:40
Speaker 1: like your energy together, but I think that there's like
• 59:42
Speaker 1: an eight month path ahead of the two of you
• 59:45
Speaker 1: where you won't really have a sense of each other
• 59:47
Speaker 1: or really understand like is this what I want for myself?
• 59:50
Speaker 1: And or can we work around these little obstacles for
• 59:52
Speaker 1: eight months? So it's going to take another eight months
• 59:55
Speaker 1: for you to look at each other and be like, Okay,
• 59:57
Speaker 1: now we have to either sign this spiritual agreement going
• 1:00:00
Speaker 1: to be together, or we've learned enough and we want
• 1:00:02
Speaker 1: to stay friends or go our separate ways. So if
• 1:00:04
Speaker 1: you get married now, right eight months from now, you're
• 1:00:07
Speaker 1: still going to have that same scenario, and you just
• 1:00:09
Speaker 1: need to be energetically, emotionally, spiritually prepared for that. Yeah,
• 1:00:13
Speaker 1: that makes sense because I've I've researched all the stuff,
• 1:00:17
Speaker 1: all the different paths to legality, and the biggest issue
• 1:00:20
Speaker 1: is just the fact that everything takes so much time,
• 1:00:21
Speaker 1: and he could go back. That is a possibility, but
• 1:00:25
Speaker 1: I'm not entirely clear on how that would all work either,
• 1:00:27
Speaker 1: and have to research that more. Yeah, I do think
• 1:00:29
Speaker 1: there's a third path, and it's like less intense than marriage,
• 1:00:32
Speaker 1: but it is. It is maybe like a connection with
• 1:00:34
Speaker 1: you or maybe an engagement or something like that. Did
• 1:00:36
Speaker 1: you guys just meet totally like on your own, like
• 1:00:39
Speaker 1: nobody introduced you. Yeah, we met on a dating we
• 1:00:42
Speaker 1: started dating, and like he's met a couple of my
• 1:00:44
Speaker 1: friends and they all really like him. He's even told,
• 1:00:47
Speaker 1: you know, a couple of my friends how much he
• 1:00:49
Speaker 1: likes me. So like, I don't feel like like what
• 1:00:52
Speaker 1: you said, I don't think it's shady at all. It's not.
• 1:00:55
Speaker 1: I mean, it sounds like it should be right, but
• 1:00:57
Speaker 1: the energy it is oddly not. And like he hasn't
• 1:01:00
Speaker 1: been pressuring, And I've been seeing what he's been doing
• 1:01:02
Speaker 1: to get citizenship outside of the potential of getting married.
• 1:01:06
Speaker 1: He's gotten like kissing an a license because he works
• 1:01:10
Speaker 1: in the medical field, and he's been like doing all
• 1:01:12
Speaker 1: these classes and stuff so that when he can start working,
• 1:01:15
Speaker 1: he can immediately jump right into it and get a job. So,
• 1:01:19
Speaker 1: like I'm seeing him do all this other stuff, maybe
• 1:01:21
Speaker 1: one of those other things will pan out into a
• 1:01:23
Speaker 1: pathway of citizenship. Right one of these jobs. Is that
• 1:01:27
Speaker 1: a possibility. The biggest issue with that is that the
• 1:01:30
Speaker 1: paperwork takes so long. He could get sponsored for employment,
• 1:01:33
Speaker 1: but that takes up to a year for anything to
• 1:01:36
Speaker 1: actually come of it. Well, I mean maybe it's like
• 1:01:39
Speaker 1: he goes back after that, you know, when his visa
• 1:01:42
Speaker 1: is about to expire, and then you guys do the
• 1:01:44
Speaker 1: visa process, the ninety day thing that we all love
• 1:01:48
Speaker 1: on television. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I'm so glad you
• 1:01:52
Speaker 1: said he's not shady, because my immediate thought is, like,
• 1:01:55
Speaker 1: you know, the one thing to be careful about is
• 1:01:57
Speaker 1: your responsible for anything he does. So if he runs up,
• 1:02:01
Speaker 1: you know, fifty dollars of credit card debt like that
• 1:02:03
Speaker 1: falls to you if you guys are legally connected there. Yeah,
• 1:02:07
Speaker 1: but I like that you said. I mean, it sounds
• 1:02:10
Speaker 1: like it should be shady, but it's oddly not, so
• 1:02:12
Speaker 1: I'm actually really surprised. One. I mean, everybody wants to
• 1:02:15
Speaker 1: become a citizen of the United States, isn't shady. I mean,
• 1:02:18
  Speaker 1: it's just a natural you know, it's a natural thing
• 1:02:21
Speaker 1: to want to do when you live in a country
• 1:02:22
Speaker 1: that denounces gay people, even though we also open one.
• 1:02:27
Speaker 1: But it's separate, separate issues. But yeah, I think what
• 1:02:31
Speaker 1: Laura said is great. You know, maybe there is just
• 1:02:33
Speaker 1: keep researching and do all of that kind of research
• 1:02:36
Speaker 1: you can to see what the other avenues are, because
• 1:02:39
Speaker 1: there are so many things that none of us know
• 1:02:41
Speaker 1: about until we dive deep into a topic. Yeah, totally.
• 1:02:44
Speaker 1: And I've done a lot of researchs already, which is
• 1:02:46
Speaker 1: partially I'm even considering it, just because everything that I've
• 1:02:48
Speaker 1: looked at take so long and still complicated. Just to
• 1:02:51
Speaker 1: get like the bare minimum for immigrants in the country,
• 1:02:55
Speaker 1: it's really quite ridiculous. But he's chat with an immigration
• 1:02:58
Speaker 1: lawyer and it's working on that. So there's definitely more
• 1:03:01
Speaker 1: research that needs to be done. I think, Well, and
• 1:03:03
Speaker 1: it's also great that you're open minded to this, you know. Yeah,
• 1:03:07
Speaker 1: I also feel like there's great bravery in him that
• 1:03:10
Speaker 1: he came here, and I also feel like being the
• 1:03:12
Speaker 1: psychic medium, I don't try to read mediumistically, but sometimes
• 1:03:15
  Speaker 1: it leads through. There's like a I think a grandmother
• 1:03:18
Speaker 1: figure for him on the other side, who's very much
• 1:03:20
Speaker 1: watching over and protecting him and guided him to you.
• 1:03:23
Speaker 1: And I didn't mean to imply in any way that
• 1:03:25
Speaker 1: wanting citizenship with Shady that is not what I meant.
• 1:03:28
Speaker 1: Like you think somebody on a dating happen, I have
• 1:03:30
Speaker 1: to get married or you're gonna lose me forever, That's right,
• 1:03:32
Speaker 1: But it's like I feel like you two were brought together. Actually,
• 1:03:35
Speaker 1: you know, I think the universe brings people into our
• 1:03:38
Speaker 1: paths and that offer us great opportunities to love and
• 1:03:40
Speaker 1: be loved. And that's how this feels to me. So
• 1:03:43
Speaker 1: it's it's really beautiful. Yeah. I feel really good around
• 1:03:46
Speaker 1: him and about him, which is why you know, I'm
• 1:03:50
Speaker 1: considering this because I've dated lots of shitty people in
• 1:03:53
Speaker 1: the past, and I like to think I'm a pretty
• 1:03:55
Speaker 1: good judge of ch character. But just like talking to
• 1:03:58
Speaker 1: him and how he's interacted with my ends and the
• 1:04:00
Speaker 1: conversations we have, Like I just feel really good about it,
• 1:04:03
Speaker 1: so help. Yeah, well that's good. Trust yourself. M Well,
• 1:04:08
Speaker 1: let us know if you guys get married, let us know,
• 1:04:11
Speaker 1: keep us supposed to as to what happens. I will
• 1:04:13
Speaker 1: thank you guys so much for the advice. It helps
• 1:04:15
Speaker 1: a lot. Okay, thank you, take care, Thanks you too,
• 1:04:19
Speaker 1: have a great day. Bye bye. It's so funny when
• 1:04:23
Speaker 1: you think about, like like I would totally marry somebody
• 1:04:26
Speaker 1: just to get them a visa. You know, you're so awesome.
• 1:04:28
Speaker 1: Was the light worker in you? Because you profoundly changed
• 1:04:32
Speaker 1: someone else's life just but I would, and I would
• 1:04:34
Speaker 1: be like, we don't ever have to talk again. You know,
• 1:04:36
Speaker 1: it's hilarious. I mean, if I'm going to marry somebody,
• 1:04:39
Speaker 1: that's a more decent reason to do it. Well. And
• 1:04:41
Speaker 1: even the year thing where he was saying like, oh,
• 1:04:43
Speaker 1: within a year, he'll have his green card and everything.
• 1:04:45
Speaker 1: I know a couple that was like very much quote
• 1:04:48
Speaker 1: unquote in love, but they were super toxic, fought all
• 1:04:50
Speaker 1: the time. He was horrible, like the whole thing. But
• 1:04:53
Speaker 1: she was from Canada and took her five years to
• 1:04:55
Speaker 1: finally get her green card. So like this year thing like, yeah,
• 1:04:58
Speaker 1: my brother's Mary. He just married someone from the Philippines
• 1:05:01
Speaker 1: and he's waiting for her to get her a green card.
• 1:05:04
Speaker 1: They got married, she was halfway through the process, but
• 1:05:06
Speaker 1: then they got married and she had to change her
• 1:05:08
Speaker 1: last name to Handler, and the Filipino culture like you
• 1:05:12
Speaker 1: have to do that right away, So then they had
• 1:05:13
Speaker 1: to start the visa process over again. I'm like, god, boy,
• 1:05:16
Speaker 1: what are you thinking, Like you did it backwards? So yeah, yeah,
• 1:05:20
Speaker 1: I mean even John Oliver, he was like, I am
• 1:05:23
Speaker 1: the best possible scenario. You know, I have every opportunity
• 1:05:27
Speaker 1: available to me. I have the money to put into this,
• 1:05:29
Speaker 1: and it is a nightmarish process, Like just a nightmarish,
• 1:05:32
Speaker 1: horrible process. John Oliver roasted me on the show once.
• 1:05:35
Speaker 1: What he did he showed a clip from Dr Oz
• 1:05:38
Speaker 1: where I was saying like, oh, is there a b name?
• 1:05:41
Speaker 1: And then he showed that clip and the person's like no. Afterwards,
• 1:05:44
Speaker 1: I went like, there was so much more to that
• 1:05:46
Speaker 1: and it was accurate, and he was like, look at
• 1:05:48
Speaker 1: these fools, look at these fraud psychic mediums. And then
• 1:05:51
Speaker 1: people were like, hey, you're on John Oliver last night,
• 1:05:54
Speaker 1: but it wasn't for a good reason, and I loved him.
• 1:05:58
Speaker 1: And then I was like, but by the way, British people,
• 1:06:01
Speaker 1: I do not believe that, you know. They It's just
• 1:06:04
Speaker 1: like they don't take medications. Brits are they don't go
• 1:06:07
Speaker 1: to therapists. They don't believe in anything. All right, Well,
• 1:06:15
Speaker 1: we've got Julia back here. Read her email. She's a chef,
• 1:06:20
Speaker 1: by the way, she says. Dear Chelsea, I've lived in
• 1:06:23
Speaker 1: l A for four years now, and I've never been
• 1:06:25
Speaker 1: completely sold on it. My boyfriend of almost the same
• 1:06:28
Speaker 1: amount of time is from here. He's known I've always
• 1:06:31
Speaker 1: wanted to move to the Pacific Northwest, but even when
• 1:06:34
Speaker 1: we put a timeline on it, he backed out. I
• 1:06:36
Speaker 1: recently reached out to an old boss of mind to
• 1:06:38
Speaker 1: put feelers out that I was looking to move back
• 1:06:41
Speaker 1: to the area, and she immediately offered me a job.
• 1:06:44
Speaker 1: I accepted, hoping it would be incentive for my boyfriend
• 1:06:46
Speaker 1: to commit to the move. He doesn't want to go,
• 1:06:49
Speaker 1: but he also doesn't want to lose me, and so
• 1:06:51
Speaker 1: as we stand now, he works fifteen hours a day,
• 1:06:54
Speaker 1: mostly six days a week, so I hardly see him
• 1:06:56
Speaker 1: as it is do I move without him? Or do
• 1:06:58
Speaker 1: I stay until he's ready to go if he ever
• 1:07:01
Speaker 1: will be Sincerely, Julia, Hi, Julia, Hi, Hello, Hello. Hi.
• 1:07:08
Speaker 1: Our special guest is Laura Lynn Jackson, who's a good
• 1:07:11
Speaker 1: friend of mine and she's a psychic medium, so she's
• 1:07:13
Speaker 1: gonna be able to tell you a little bit more
• 1:07:15
Speaker 1: about yourself than I will. But I'm just gonna get
• 1:07:17
Speaker 1: say right off the bat, move, do your thing, Do
• 1:07:20
Speaker 1: your thing always. Do not wait around for any man.
• 1:07:23
Speaker 1: It does not matter. You know, if you're meant to
• 1:07:25
Speaker 1: be together, you'll be together. True, that's always been in
• 1:07:29
Speaker 1: the back of my mind. We are women and we
• 1:07:32
Speaker 1: need to be in control of our destiny, you know
• 1:07:34
Speaker 1: what I mean. And it's a good example to set
• 1:07:36
Speaker 1: not only for yourself, but all of the women in
• 1:07:38
Speaker 1: your life. And I have a best friend who lives
• 1:07:40
Speaker 1: out there, like my closest friend, and she's kind of just,
• 1:07:45
Speaker 1: you know, waiting for me to make that move. She
• 1:07:47
Speaker 1: says the same thing, but it's so much easier said
• 1:07:51
Speaker 1: than done. So what's interesting is I really do feel
• 1:07:54
Speaker 1: like we are all psychic. And Chelsea, you keep saying
• 1:07:56
Speaker 1: like I'm not a psychic medium, but and then you'll
• 1:07:58
Speaker 1: say the exact same things I'm seeing. Right, So, like
• 1:08:01
Speaker 1: you are psychics? Are you? We all are? And so
• 1:08:03
Speaker 1: are you your psychic to you? And like, that's what
• 1:08:05
Speaker 1: I want to talk to you about, is tuning in
• 1:08:07
Speaker 1: intuitively to what your polls are. I think we all
• 1:08:11
Speaker 1: get what I call pulls to do something or act
• 1:08:14
Speaker 1: a certain ways sometimes, and quite frankly, they're often completely
• 1:08:18
Speaker 1: counterintuitive to logically what makes sense in our lives. So,
• 1:08:22
Speaker 1: for example, you have a set path right now, you're
• 1:08:24
Speaker 1: living in a certain place, you have a relationship. Logically,
• 1:08:27
Speaker 1: it might be a little inconvenient to be like I'm
• 1:08:30
Speaker 1: going to move and I'm going to go do this.
• 1:08:31
Speaker 1: But intuitively, that spiritual part, you're the light part of yourself.
• 1:08:36
Speaker 1: I feel like you're really you got your own download
• 1:08:38
Speaker 1: and you're getting a pull to move and go do
• 1:08:40
Speaker 1: this and that you know that's your highest path. But
• 1:08:43
Speaker 1: it's coming out of price, right, because there's risk involved,
• 1:08:46
Speaker 1: there's some fear what will this mean for the relationship? Right,
• 1:08:49
Speaker 1: But what I'm going to tell you is it's always
• 1:08:51
Speaker 1: important when making decisions to make a love path choice,
• 1:08:55
Speaker 1: not a fear based one. So if you were to
• 1:08:57
Speaker 1: say no to this job and not move. It's strictly
• 1:09:00
Speaker 1: out of fear. Fear of what does this mean about
• 1:09:02
Speaker 1: me losing my relationship? What if I get there and
• 1:09:04
Speaker 1: I feel insecure, I feel like did I make a mistake.
• 1:09:07
Speaker 1: That's all fear based. But if you look at it
• 1:09:10
Speaker 1: in a love based way and see that the universe
• 1:09:12
Speaker 1: is guiding you and everything's feeling right and you're being
• 1:09:16
Speaker 1: pulled there, you're gonna need to trust in that and
• 1:09:19
Speaker 1: act on that. I see you moving, I see so
• 1:09:23
Speaker 1: much light about it. I see that it's fantastic. I
• 1:09:25
Speaker 1: feel like the choice here is like the when of it,
• 1:09:28
Speaker 1: because I feel like there's already been some stalling, And
• 1:09:31
Speaker 1: I really feel like if we go back about a
• 1:09:33
Speaker 1: month and a half on your timeline, that's where the
• 1:09:36
Speaker 1: opportunity kind of started, or that poll was, and we've
• 1:09:39
Speaker 1: got another three months to kind of act on it.
• 1:09:42
Speaker 1: But I feel the sooner you can act on it,
• 1:09:45
Speaker 1: the higher you're on your path. But only you can
• 1:09:48
Speaker 1: do that. You've got to take a deep breath in
• 1:09:50
Speaker 1: and really trust in your light and value yourself over
• 1:09:55
Speaker 1: any relationship, and understand that you are of great worthy
• 1:09:59
Speaker 1: and us to love and be loved and that not
• 1:10:03
Speaker 1: to say that this is a test of the relationship,
• 1:10:05
Speaker 1: but it is almost forcing a test. Right, you're going
• 1:10:09
Speaker 1: to move because this is your passionate path and you
• 1:10:11
Speaker 1: know you're meant to. Let's see how he reacts, you know,
• 1:10:15
Speaker 1: And it's almost a litmus test because if he is
• 1:10:19
Speaker 1: the right person for you, he's going to grow with
• 1:10:22
Speaker 1: you and he will come along and you will work
• 1:10:24
Speaker 1: that out. And if not, the universe is going to
• 1:10:27
Speaker 1: bring you other people. That's how this works. But it's
• 1:10:30
Speaker 1: trusting in your knowing and trusting in your pull and
• 1:10:32
Speaker 1: I've to me, it's like such a clear poll for
• 1:10:34
Speaker 1: you to go there. What I've kind of been thinking
• 1:10:38
Speaker 1: about in the past couple of weeks is maybe it
• 1:10:41
Speaker 1: isn't the right time for me to necessarily move there,
• 1:10:44
Speaker 1: but kind of deciding between whether I should stay in
• 1:10:47
Speaker 1: this relationship and try and make it work or I
• 1:10:49
Speaker 1: just try and find somewhere else to live here in
• 1:10:52
  Speaker 1: l A. Because as much as I don't really love
• 1:10:54
Speaker 1: living out here, I do like everything that the bigger
• 1:10:57
Speaker 1: city has to offer, and I love kind of the
• 1:11:00
Speaker 1: comfortablelity of the current job I do have. I'm a
• 1:11:03
Speaker 1: private chef and I love working for this family and
• 1:11:06
Speaker 1: the the work life balance that I have now. And
• 1:11:11
Speaker 1: I feel like also moving was more of an ego thing.
• 1:11:15
Speaker 1: Him not wanting to move kind of hurt my egos.
• 1:11:18
Speaker 1: It's like, Oh, if he loves me, he should want
• 1:11:20
Speaker 1: to do this with me. And I understand that it's
• 1:11:22
Speaker 1: not that easy of a decision to make. But you're right,
• 1:11:25
Speaker 1: if it was something that he wanted to grow and
• 1:11:27
Speaker 1: do with me, that would have shown through already. But
• 1:11:30
Speaker 1: are you saying you would move somewhere in l a
• 1:11:32
Speaker 1: away from your boyfriend? Yeah? Well, what's the purpose of
• 1:11:36
Speaker 1: that just to teach him a lesson? No, I guess
• 1:11:40
Speaker 1: just like removing myself from the situation and still not
• 1:11:44
Speaker 1: having to change every like uproot everything about my life
• 1:11:47
Speaker 1: just because he doesn't want to grow in the same
• 1:11:49
Speaker 1: way as me. Yeah, but I think you're talking about
• 1:11:52
Speaker 1: two different things. I think you're you're excited about this
• 1:11:54
Speaker 1: other opportunity, right, that's what's driving you, I mean, getting
• 1:11:58
Speaker 1: if you're not going to take that opportunity city, I
• 1:12:00
Speaker 1: don't know what the point is about moving. I mean,
• 1:12:03
Speaker 1: what the point would be about moving away within Los Angeles?
• 1:12:06
Speaker 1: It sounds like this is an opportunity for growth for you,
• 1:12:10
Speaker 1: Like when you're unsure something and you know your gut
• 1:12:14
Speaker 1: is telling you one thing. And it's very clear by
• 1:12:16
Speaker 1: your letter and what you said in the beginning that
• 1:12:18
Speaker 1: you kind of want to go back your friends. There
• 1:12:20
Speaker 1: you have this job opportunity that you sought out that's
• 1:12:23
Speaker 1: available for you. I think you should think about growth
• 1:12:27
Speaker 1: when you're not sure about your feelings. Just do I
• 1:12:29
Speaker 1: want to grow? Do I want to grow? And that's
• 1:12:32
Speaker 1: the answer is always yes. And when you grow, things
• 1:12:35
Speaker 1: will grow with you or grow away from you, and
• 1:12:38
Speaker 1: that's not in your control. But all you can focus
• 1:12:40
Speaker 1: on is your own growth. Yeah, and the person I
• 1:12:44
Speaker 1: would be working for is has been so kind and
• 1:12:47
Speaker 1: amazing and it it is a person that I would
• 1:12:49
Speaker 1: want to work for. She's just very giving and has
• 1:12:53
Speaker 1: made me feel very comfortable in making a big change, saying,
• 1:12:56
Speaker 1: you know, there's no rush to starting the job, like
• 1:12:58
Speaker 1: take your time, like of this is a big move,
• 1:13:01
Speaker 1: and like she seems very excited to have me, so
• 1:13:03
Speaker 1: it is worthwhile. I think that, Yeah, make sure you
• 1:13:07
Speaker 1: tell her how great that feels. That's somebody who helps
• 1:13:11
Speaker 1: you rise, right. I think true power is helping other
• 1:13:13
Speaker 1: people find their light and rise in that. Right, we
• 1:13:15
Speaker 1: all rise together rather than having power over somebody and
• 1:13:18
Speaker 1: being demanding. So to me, it's like who we spend
• 1:13:21
Speaker 1: our time with and who we spend our time around
• 1:13:23
Speaker 1: matters greatly. We're always absorbing energy, right, So this, this
• 1:13:27
Speaker 1: woman sounds phenomenal, and to be around her, and to
• 1:13:30
Speaker 1: be around your best friend, it's like such this beautiful, comforting,
• 1:13:33
Speaker 1: supportive circle of light. You know. I think for you,
• 1:13:37
Speaker 1: what I'm feeling in your energy is this great sense
• 1:13:39
Speaker 1: of loss by moving, loss of the relationship, disappointment really
• 1:13:44
Speaker 1: in him not wanting to rise to the occasion and
• 1:13:47
Speaker 1: move with you. And there's grief that comes with that,
• 1:13:49
Speaker 1: and I think it's important to acknowledge that and not
• 1:13:51
Speaker 1: hide from it. But it doesn't mean you don't do
• 1:13:54
Speaker 1: it anyway. You know. It's like trusting in your own
• 1:13:56
Speaker 1: value and your own light over all things. Yeah, this
• 1:14:00
Speaker 1: is the first relationship where I've kind of taken the
• 1:14:04
Speaker 1: reins and making decisions that benefit me out of the
• 1:14:08
Speaker 1: pain that's come with, you know, things in the relationship.
• 1:14:10
Speaker 1: So it is a little daunting, but it's something I
• 1:14:13
Speaker 1: just need to do. Yeah, you do good for you, though,
• 1:14:16
Speaker 1: I mean, that's really wonderful that you have that self
• 1:14:19
Speaker 1: reflection and insight to recognize that you've been making changes.
• 1:14:23
Speaker 1: And sometimes there are these little small changes with these
• 1:14:25
Speaker 1: little voices within ourselves, right that empower us in incredible ways.
• 1:14:30
Speaker 1: And it sounds to me like you've been really going
• 1:14:31
Speaker 1: through that shift into owning, taking ownership of your path
• 1:14:35
Speaker 1: and your light and all those things. And it is
• 1:14:37
Speaker 1: scary and it can be really overwhelming, but that's what
• 1:14:40
Speaker 1: being brave is all about, right. It's like you're still
• 1:14:43
Speaker 1: really afraid, but you do it anyway because it feels
• 1:14:46
Speaker 1: like the highest path to do it. Yeah, I also
• 1:14:50
Speaker 1: just to put a button on it. One of my
• 1:14:52
Speaker 1: mentors always talked about your your geographic home, and it
• 1:14:56
Speaker 1: may not always be the place where you live, but
• 1:14:58
Speaker 1: it's the place that you've almost yourself most alive. And
• 1:15:04
Speaker 1: for my mom, it's Arizona. They had my parents have
• 1:15:07
Speaker 1: thought about moving there before they had kids, and now
• 1:15:10
Speaker 1: they're retiring there nine months of the year and they
• 1:15:12
Speaker 1: love it. For my younger brother, it's the Pacific Northwest.
• 1:15:16
Speaker 1: And you know, I think if you can live there,
• 1:15:19
Speaker 1: that's great, and if not, you've got to visit as
• 1:15:21
Speaker 1: much as possible. But I think the path has really
• 1:15:24
Speaker 1: opened up for you. It's not like, no, you can't
• 1:15:26
Speaker 1: find a job, No, you don't have opportunities. It's like
• 1:15:29
Speaker 1: you said, maybe this is for me, and the path
• 1:15:32
Speaker 1: is opening up. So I think you have to listen
• 1:15:34
Speaker 1: to that. Yeah, and yeah, I've only lived there like
• 1:15:38
Speaker 1: the last two years of high school, and I don't
• 1:15:40
Speaker 1: think it's where I want to settle, but I do
• 1:15:42
Speaker 1: think it's something I just want to go experience and
• 1:15:46
Speaker 1: and feel out and just do something different. Okay, we'll
• 1:15:49
Speaker 1: keep us posted and let us know how everything goes. Okay,
• 1:15:52
Speaker 1: we're on your side. Girl. Thank you, ladies, thank you
• 1:15:55
Speaker 1: for taking the time. I appreciate it. Julia by Julia,
• 1:15:59
Speaker 1: I by Well, that was great. Another day at the office.
• 1:16:04
Speaker 1: You just change lives. Another day, another another dream coming true. Yes, well,
• 1:16:11
Speaker 1: let's move to our clothes quick break. Okay, right back,
• 1:16:15
Speaker 1: we'll take a quick break. Uh uh, we're back. Well,
• 1:16:24
Speaker 1: we're back with Laura Lyn Jackson and Chelsea. Laura, do
• 1:16:26
Speaker 1: you have any advice you'd like? Do you like can
• 1:16:29
Speaker 1: I help you with anything? Well, there's so much I
• 1:16:31
Speaker 1: really had to like narrow this question you know. So
• 1:16:35
Speaker 1: what came to me was to ask you, and it's
• 1:16:38
Speaker 1: a question for your listeners to not just me right.
• 1:16:40
Speaker 1: But what I know about you, Chelsea is you're this
• 1:16:42
Speaker 1: extraordinary light worker, and you're incredibly brave. And what I
• 1:16:46
Speaker 1: also know about you is that every choice you make
• 1:16:48
Speaker 1: has a ripple effect into the world because you're teaching
• 1:16:51
Speaker 1: others through your actions, and you're teaching others by how
• 1:16:54
Speaker 1: you're choosing to embrace your challenges. And the beautiful thing
• 1:16:57
Speaker 1: about you is how honest you are with everyone about it.
• 1:17:00
Speaker 1: So I was really wondering if you could share some
• 1:17:04
Speaker 1: advice about how how we find our highest path, like
• 1:17:08
Speaker 1: how you've navigated things to get to a place within
• 1:17:12
Speaker 1: yourself where you have a sense of knowing like this
• 1:17:15
Speaker 1: is what I need to do, this is my highest path,
• 1:17:17
Speaker 1: Like how did you find that? I think a Well,
• 1:17:21
Speaker 1: I'm not lying when I'm saying I've been influenced by
• 1:17:24
Speaker 1: people like you, Teachers like you, teachers like my therapist
• 1:17:28
Speaker 1: Dance Segal, teachers like Eckartole. I didn't know what that
• 1:17:33
Speaker 1: knowing was, that voice was because I think sometimes we
• 1:17:38
Speaker 1: get confused between our shadow self and our instinct. So
• 1:17:42
Speaker 1: you don't know if that voice is the bad guy
• 1:17:44
Speaker 1: or the good guy, right, because we all have that
• 1:17:47
Speaker 1: inner voice, but we also have that voice that tells you,
• 1:17:50
Speaker 1: like the devil on your shoulder, you're not smart enough,
• 1:17:52
Speaker 1: you're not good enough, you're not pretty enough, you're not that.
• 1:17:55
Speaker 1: So I think it's really about bifurcating those two things
• 1:17:59
  Speaker 1: and owing it's not a voice that's inside you, that's
• 1:18:04
  Speaker 1: a knowing, it's a feeling, it's a gut. When you
• 1:18:07
Speaker 1: think about something in the warmth that comes with that
• 1:18:09
Speaker 1: inside your stomach or in your chest, where you feel
• 1:18:12
Speaker 1: calm and relaxed, that's when you have the knowing and
• 1:18:16
Speaker 1: the idea that you're on the right track. And when
• 1:18:18
Speaker 1: you have that loud, negative chatter, that repetition is the
• 1:18:24
Speaker 1: bad chatter, that kind of telling you you're not good
• 1:18:27
Speaker 1: enough or smart enough, or brave enough, or these people
• 1:18:30
Speaker 1: don't like you. That's all the stuff that you have
• 1:18:32
Speaker 1: to dismiss. And I've learned personally that identifying the differences
• 1:18:37
Speaker 1: between those two feelings, the knowing and the chatter. I
• 1:18:42
Speaker 1: know now that the knowing is what I have to trust,
• 1:18:44
Speaker 1: and that the chatter gets quiet or the moment I
• 1:18:47
Speaker 1: identify it, and I go, oh, that's not the real stuff.
• 1:18:50
Speaker 1: Don't listen to that. I think it's so interesting too,
• 1:18:53
Speaker 1: just for everyone who's listening. When you say knowing, you
• 1:18:56
Speaker 1: are like clutching at your gut, like you're pointing to
• 1:18:59
Speaker 1: your gut. And when you say chatter, it's like right
• 1:19:01
Speaker 1: next to your had, like in your ear, kind of chatter,
• 1:19:03
Speaker 1: like a little mouth. Because we can never get rid
• 1:19:05
Speaker 1: of those voices, you know. I was always like, why
• 1:19:07
Speaker 1: do I have negative thoughts? Like you know, this is
• 1:19:10
Speaker 1: a conversation Laura and I had recently. I said, you know,
• 1:19:13
Speaker 1: I want to just I don't want to have negative
• 1:19:15
Speaker 1: thoughts about people. I want to wish everyone well. I
• 1:19:18
Speaker 1: want even the people that I don't like or that
• 1:19:20
Speaker 1: I have difficult relationships with, I want to be thinking
• 1:19:23
Speaker 1: good things for them. I don't want to scroll through
• 1:19:25
Speaker 1: Instagram and see somebody that I've had a difficult relationship
• 1:19:28
Speaker 1: with and and not be happy for a success. That's
• 1:19:32
Speaker 1: not how I want to operate. I want to give
• 1:19:33
Speaker 1: out good vibes only. And she gave me this great
• 1:19:36
Speaker 1: loving kindness meditation, which is I wish you happiness or
• 1:19:41
Speaker 1: may you be happy, May you be healthy, May you
• 1:19:43
Speaker 1: be safe, May you live a life of ease. And
• 1:19:46
Speaker 1: you say it about the person you love the most,
• 1:19:48
Speaker 1: you say it about yourself, Then you say it about
• 1:19:51
Speaker 1: a mentor, which I say it about you every morning,
• 1:19:54
Speaker 1: so I hope you've been feeling it. You said about
• 1:19:56
Speaker 1: someone who's had a huge impact on your life, and
• 1:19:58
Speaker 1: then you say it about a new real person, and
• 1:20:01
Speaker 1: then you say it about somebody you have a difficult
• 1:20:03
Speaker 1: relationship with, and then you say for all your neighbors
• 1:20:06
Speaker 1: and the whole world. And she's like, and this is
• 1:20:09
Speaker 1: a way to build great energy around you so that
• 1:20:11
Speaker 1: you have like a fort of good vibrations. And that
• 1:20:16
Speaker 1: is a game changer. People sucking do it. It is
• 1:20:20
Speaker 1: a game changer because even people like you know, when
• 1:20:23
Speaker 1: I have to pick the most difficult person, it's always
• 1:20:25
Speaker 1: someone different because I've had so many difficult people in
• 1:20:27
Speaker 1: my life because I'm so difficult that I'm just like, Okay,
• 1:20:30
Speaker 1: who am I going to focus on? And you don't
• 1:20:32
Speaker 1: mean it right away, but over time that when you
• 1:20:35
Speaker 1: practice this kind for meditation, you do mean it. You
• 1:20:38
Speaker 1: do want them to be happy and healthy and peaceful
• 1:20:40
Speaker 1: and live a life with ease. You're just not gonna
• 1:20:43
Speaker 1: do it together. And that's okay, you know. So yeah,
• 1:20:47
Speaker 1: and I think identifying just identifying. You know, I didn't
• 1:20:50
Speaker 1: know that those bad thoughts everybody had, everybody has that
• 1:20:54
Speaker 1: shadow self that's telling you that, you know, it's the
• 1:20:56
Speaker 1: devil on your shoulder. It's the person that is when
• 1:20:59
Speaker 1: you're an that says, yeah, you can have another line
• 1:21:01
Speaker 1: of cocaine or a hit of crystal math or whatever
• 1:21:03
Speaker 1: your thing is. It's not your friend, it's your enemy.
• 1:21:06
Speaker 1: But we all have it. And it's just about you
• 1:21:09
Speaker 1: managing how to quiet that and how to make louder
• 1:21:13
Speaker 1: the knowing. I love that. Yeah, so this is my guru. Now. Yes, Also,
• 1:21:21
Speaker 1: this is a great book for anyone you guys, I
• 1:21:23
Speaker 1: send this book. I have fifty copies in my house

• 1:21:29
Speaker 1: you want to send them this book, okay. And the
• 1:21:32

Speaker 1: from the Universe is the one that I send to

• 1:21:49

• 1:21:58
Speaker 1: personal readings. Well that's and closed for many years. Okay,
• 1:22:02
Speaker 1: so never mind. Sorry, I do them every single week.
