- 1:11Speaker 7: he can't hide his money anymore. His secret mission, it's
- 1:16Speaker 7: all right, you know, Greg, Greg was all smiles. That's
- 1:20Speaker 7: how he wants it. Yeah, he's a tract. That's part
- 1:23Speaker 7: of his plan.
- 1:23Speaker 8: Yeah, once everybody is digital, he can execute his algorithm.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, I don't.
- 1:30Speaker 9: I don't have to touch any I don't have to
- 1:34Speaker 9: you know, touch anything you've touched I don't even have
- 1:37Speaker 9: to look at you.
- 1:38Speaker 7: Yeah, see execute his algorithm. I'm gonna go to the
- 1:42Speaker 7: doctor get my algorithm checked. But you said you went
- 1:48Speaker 7: down to New Orleans and the new experience the airport,
- 1:51Speaker 7: going through the airport, and not just in the airport,
- 1:54Speaker 7: actually in the city of New Orleans, in the hotel
- 1:58Speaker 7: that I was uh staying in and performing in is cashless.
- 2:05Speaker 7: Were in the cashless world. Not that you know, I
- 2:09Speaker 7: didn't have the cash. Is we don't take that. That's
- 2:13Speaker 7: you know, which is interesting for a city like New Orleans,
- 2:17Speaker 7: which is very interesting because they're always almost come up
- 2:22Speaker 7: like they are like a pop up city city.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Yeah, they're they're a festival. They're not really here for
- 2:32Speaker 1: a long time. Yeah, we're here for a long time.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Just a good time. Yeah, baby, were coming through.
- 2:38Speaker 7: You got cash, you got shekels, you got draking my,
- 2:41Speaker 7: we don't care.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Throw your beads, Babby, give me a coconut.
- 2:45Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, your coconut, baby, New Orleans.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, And that's why.
- 2:52Speaker 7: It was at any moment with anyone, if anything comes down,
- 2:57Speaker 7: just okay, what kind of watching that, Yeah.
- 3:02Speaker 1: You know, like we'll almost take.
- 3:03Speaker 8: Common kind of barber barter system to to make this
- 3:09Speaker 8: happen in your life. Yeah, you ain't got to have
- 3:12Speaker 8: documentations and credit cards.
- 3:16Speaker 1: You like the car you just got out.
- 3:18Speaker 7: You you stole your mom's car, smoke the TV, all
- 3:23Speaker 7: that kind of stuff I'm saying. And you can drive
- 3:25Speaker 7: around and your mama's smoked car. And I lived there
- 3:28Speaker 7: for three years, That's what I'm saying. Nobody's checking for
- 3:31Speaker 7: the smoked cars. You just in the car.
- 3:34Speaker 8: It was one of those cities you felt very comfortable
- 3:36Speaker 8: like giving out, even like here in Atlanta. You go
- 3:40Speaker 8: places and people seem like, I can't believe you gave
- 3:45Speaker 8: me coins, right, like nichols and dimes and things like that.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Yeah, they'll refuse to take them in some place like.
- 3:53Speaker 7: Either it has to be a card or the exact
- 3:56Speaker 7: cast why you're giving coins.
- 3:59Speaker 1: But in New Orleans, you.
- 4:00Speaker 7: Don't needn't even the coin changing coins.
- 4:03Speaker 8: A couple of bottle, coke, bottles, whatever is equivalent to
- 4:08Speaker 8: what you're trying to purchase, and you can figure out
- 4:11Speaker 8: I got one tire, a tie.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Two cans of pork and beans.
- 4:16Speaker 7: Okay, the hot dog man will sell the beer man
- 4:20Speaker 7: a hot dog for a beer for a beer and
- 4:23Speaker 7: the beer guy will It's that's how they do it.
- 4:26Speaker 1: So and so for them to look.
- 4:28Speaker 7: At me and go, no, we don't do money baby,
- 4:32Speaker 7: no money baby.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Wow. Come on man, y'all y'all playing around right, you.
- 4:37Speaker 7: Know, next thing you know, they're going to have vegetarian
- 4:40Speaker 7: meals on their vegetarian at two Faith.
- 4:48Speaker 1: And then.
- 4:51Speaker 7: Let me tell you what what happened sports jock with
- 4:54Speaker 7: the not accepting cash.
- 4:56Speaker 1: I had to pull out a debit card.
- 4:57Speaker 7: Now, when I got the debit car, they had SEC
- 5:01Speaker 7: teams available for only one that.
- 5:05Speaker 1: It was relevant to me was Georgia.
- 5:07Speaker 7: So I pull out the george card, go to pay,
- 5:11Speaker 7: and somebody sitting at the bar goes, hey, hey, is
- 5:17Speaker 7: that a Georgia card? I said yeah, and they said
- 5:22Speaker 7: this LSU Country? How did that get in here? Who
- 5:29Speaker 7: slipped this in? Like?
- 5:31Speaker 1: What where did this come from?
- 5:33Speaker 10: Like?
- 5:33Speaker 7: How did I? I mean, because he was serious, Hey
- 5:36Speaker 7: this l s U Country? Oh okay, sir, I'm already
- 5:42Speaker 7: dealing with the fact that I can't spend cash and
- 5:44Speaker 7: now I'm sitting here with gold mouth man about my
- 5:47Speaker 7: car because.
- 5:48Speaker 1: That's how he came across. Like you're gonna eat your look.
- 5:51Speaker 8: Man, I don't know if to eat it, but I
- 5:54Speaker 8: definitely don't feel like fighting about it.
- 5:59Speaker 7: Can we at least it at the very needs But
- 6:02Speaker 7: we're glad to be here with you. Prime Day? Are
- 6:05Speaker 7: you guys? Prime Day people? I saw the commercials. I'm
- 6:10Speaker 7: not sure. Is it like some kind of Christmas in July?
- 6:18Speaker 7: What is Prime Day that I'm missing?
- 6:21Speaker 11: Uh?
- 6:21Speaker 9: It's just discounts on a lot, on a lot of stuff,
- 6:25Speaker 9: on pretty much anything. But I didn't want anything, though,
- 6:28Speaker 9: But you're okay, I mean, just just for these few days.
- 6:30Speaker 1: There's a discount if you wanted any but on what though?
- 6:35Speaker 12: What?
- 6:35Speaker 1: You know? Some staples if you need anymore?
- 6:40Speaker 9: Because nobody runs coffee off you get any states seven
- 6:43Speaker 9: law offices that still use staples.
- 6:49Speaker 1: So what do you have? You typically bought something on
- 6:52Speaker 1: Prime Day? Not not that I'm like you were aiming
- 6:57Speaker 1: for Prime Day, but I have. So what's what's the discount?
- 7:07Speaker 9: It could be anywhere from like twenty five to seventy
- 7:12Speaker 9: percent off of something, okay, on select items?
- 7:16Speaker 1: Yes, okay, from the Prime list, yes, okay, okay? So
- 7:21Speaker 1: and how long has this been going on? You have
- 7:23Speaker 1: to have a Prime you don't have to I don't
- 7:26Speaker 1: necessarily have to have a Prime account.
- 7:29Speaker 9: You do, Okay, I wasn't there if you don't da it,
- 7:32Speaker 9: But from what I've heard at the time, from what
- 7:34Speaker 9: I've heard, if you have a Prime account, you get
- 7:37Speaker 9: the extra deep discount.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Okay, are you.
- 7:40Speaker 7: A Prime Day kind of guy, Kenny, because I'm reading
- 7:44Speaker 7: here it says up to sixty two percent off select
- 7:47Speaker 7: items Prime Day sal Yeah. Everything that we will purchase
- 7:53Speaker 7: this year is coming today. On my way here, I
- 7:57Speaker 7: stopped to get a Prime package off the porch. I
- 8:01Speaker 7: was backing out of garage and I looked in on
- 8:03Speaker 7: the porch. The first of the two hundred and fifty
- 8:05Speaker 7: two Prime packages that we'll be arriving at my house
- 8:08Speaker 7: today had arrived already.
- 8:11Speaker 8: So just buy a whole bunch of bulks. So it's
- 8:14Speaker 8: like going to sam but they're just delivering it.
- 8:17Speaker 7: Yeah, It's just this is the thing. I think it's
- 8:23Speaker 7: a brilliant plan that they insert the savings and then
- 8:27Speaker 7: if you want to buy something, might as well buy today.
- 8:29Speaker 7: So no matter what you're searching for. We're going on
- 8:33Speaker 7: a family vacation shortly, and all of the beach items
- 8:37Speaker 7: will be delivered today from Prime.
- 8:41Speaker 1: If there is a a weed whacker that I have
- 8:45Speaker 1: been needing. This is today.
- 8:48Speaker 7: This is the day we get the weed whacker because
- 8:51Speaker 7: it's at the deepest discount. Okay, so the deepest it's
- 8:55Speaker 7: like black black fried, right. And then the other thing
- 8:58Speaker 7: is with having the Prime membership in the Prime account,
- 9:01Speaker 7: it gets delivered to day. So we ordered it yesterday
- 9:05Speaker 7: and it's boom here right now. So you don't need
- 9:09Speaker 7: to do any more shopping this year. I don't need
- 9:12Speaker 7: to do any more shopping any year. But for these items. No,
- 9:17Speaker 7: for these items, no. But it's just you know, it's
- 9:21Speaker 7: it's geared towards people, like.
- 9:23Speaker 1: What do you keep all these items?
- 9:25Speaker 7: Sports shock. I'll be fine in places, I mean, because
- 9:29Speaker 7: I'm saying it's geared towards people like my family. I'm
- 9:32Speaker 7: not really the shopper, but a top to bottom. It's
- 9:37Speaker 7: Prime Day. Everybody's like to gather around the dinner like
- 9:40Speaker 7: you know, Prime Days tomorrow. So make me feel like
- 9:44Speaker 7: I'm missing out strategy. I just need to need something
- 9:48Speaker 7: right now. It was the top story on the news.
- 9:50Speaker 7: Amazon Prime Day. They run enough ad to make you
- 9:54Speaker 7: feel like I need to buy some weeds stuff in
- 10:00Speaker 7: bolt just have a couple of gallons of and and
- 10:04Speaker 7: and I think it around and it encourages, in my opinion,
- 10:10Speaker 7: buying more expensive stuff because generally, going to the beach,
- 10:13Speaker 7: you want some beach stuff.
- 10:14Speaker 1: What do you get?
- 10:16Speaker 7: Maybe a couple of towns chair, maybe a chair, maybe
- 10:22Speaker 7: an umbrella. But because of the deep discounts for the
- 10:25Speaker 7: prime we got cabana.
- 10:27Speaker 9: Now got a if you want to build a caband,
- 10:32Speaker 9: you can buy it.
- 10:34Speaker 1: That's the one.
- 10:35Speaker 7: That's the one with the big with the with the
- 10:37Speaker 7: outdoor patio. Because town ain't no deep. That's a lot
- 10:42Speaker 7: of that's a lot of work to take to the beach.
- 10:45Speaker 7: Not for film, but you paid twenty dollars and and so,
- 10:51Speaker 7: but that I ought to be willing to carry out
- 10:54Speaker 7: that stuff by myself to the beach. To the beach.
- 10:57Speaker 8: I thought the beach was for relaxing, because you know
- 10:59Speaker 8: you're to break that stuff down and take your back.
- 11:01Speaker 1: You sound like me, You sound like me, You sound
- 11:04Speaker 1: like me every day Prime Day.
- 11:06Speaker 7: Get out there and get you something, get you something
- 11:08Speaker 7: to carry, Just get you something, get you something to
- 11:13Speaker 7: carry or something, Just do something, just get it delivered.
- 11:17Speaker 7: Okay Prime Day, Okay, next year, I'm gonna catch it.
- 11:20Speaker 7: I'm gonna catch it.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Don't do it. Don't do it, because then.
- 11:22Speaker 7: So I can feel like I'm part of this. No,
- 11:24Speaker 7: I see, that's what I'm saying. Then the system's broken.
- 11:26Speaker 7: If you start to participate, then they've gotten us all.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Neo. Don't do it.
- 11:30Speaker 7: You're the only one outside to make tri I'm sure
- 11:32Speaker 7: I need a beach chair. I just don't know I
- 11:35Speaker 7: need it yet.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Yeah, and that's it. That's it.
- 11:38Speaker 7: And trust me, Now this is the beautiful part about it.
- 11:41Speaker 7: Five years from now, when you need that beach chair
- 11:44Speaker 7: and you dig into that storage room behind them Christmas
- 11:47Speaker 7: trees to get it, you'll be glad you got it.
- 11:49Speaker 1: We'll be back. But more than Sports Shock Show right
- 11:52Speaker 1: after this.
- 12:02Speaker 13: Welcome now and just too well, I say, a little boy.

- 13:51Speaker 6: another is important, and most people would step up for
- 13:55Speaker 6: a neighbor going through a tough time. Most people around
- 13:57Speaker 6: here help out friends and family when they need it.
- 14:00Speaker 6: But the funny thing is most of us won't look
- 14:02Speaker 6: for help when we need it. Talk to someone if
- 14:05Speaker 6: you're struggling with mental health, because most people out here

- 15:04Speaker 2: It's time to present the Jock of the Day on
- 15:07Speaker 2: the Sports Jock's taking it.
- 15:08Speaker 4: To a completely different level this year where we highlight

- 15:41Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Spy Shop showing the spoy Shock
- 15:44Speaker 1: Wing Gaming.
- 15:45Speaker 7: Good morning to you if you get a chance tonight
- 15:50Speaker 7: and you just want to watch some Summer League basketball.
- 15:54Speaker 7: Cooper Flag of the Dallas Mavericks taking on Bunnie James
- 15:59Speaker 7: of Theers. Get to see if Bronnie has made any
- 16:04Speaker 7: big steps forward and the number one overall pick Cooper
- 16:10Speaker 7: Flag joining Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis got a little squad
- 16:15Speaker 7: down there. When you think about it, if he can
- 16:20Speaker 7: play at that Rookie of the Year level. You don't
- 16:24Speaker 7: have to necessarily have to be an NBA All Star,
- 16:28Speaker 7: but if you can come out and do enough to
- 16:30Speaker 7: be the Rookie of the Year, that means you're probably
- 16:32Speaker 7: contributing a good sixteen eighteen points a game something like that.
- 16:37Speaker 9: He's in a good, a good situation because even with
- 16:40Speaker 9: like Kyrie won't be back for a while, but the
- 16:44Speaker 9: team's gonna, they're gonna, they're gonna play through Anthony Davis,
- 16:47Speaker 9: so he can kind of just find out where he
- 16:51Speaker 9: fits in before.
- 16:52Speaker 1: He doesn't have to be the guy right away. He
- 16:54Speaker 1: can be the second or third.
- 16:56Speaker 8: Option, and I think a lot of times that's the
- 16:58Speaker 8: best way to go. When you talk about a lot
- 17:01Speaker 8: of one and done guys, I'm really.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Say, rookie of the year. Still he is a tall
- 17:07Speaker 1: order to fail.
- 17:08Speaker 8: We really still forget so much so many times now
- 17:13Speaker 8: when we are talking about athletes of today the saddle.
- 17:20Speaker 8: They're saddled with this whole idea of changing franchises at
- 17:26Speaker 8: nineteen twenty one. That's not the heroes of old. Those
- 17:32Speaker 8: guys were twenty to twenty three years old when they
- 17:37Speaker 8: were expected to start delivering we have. You know, I
- 17:43Speaker 8: was thinking about Caitlin Clark and Andre Reese the other day,
- 17:47Speaker 8: just how neither one of these young ladies are own
- 17:52Speaker 8: enough to rent a car without penalties. But we talk
- 17:58Speaker 8: about them and and beat beat them down and bash
- 18:02Speaker 8: them as though they have lived full adult lives, you know,
- 18:08Speaker 8: our expectations of how they're supposed to handle their emotions
- 18:12Speaker 8: and everything. It started earlier and it's part of someone
- 18:18Speaker 8: like a Cooper.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Flag or.
- 18:21Speaker 7: Even last year with the Brunning James, you couldn't even
- 18:24Speaker 7: get people to kind of think, well, you know, there
- 18:28Speaker 7: is the idea of the project, that that was a
- 18:32Speaker 7: thing guys were grabbed in the late rounds or the
- 18:37Speaker 7: second round that teams really just stamped as projects.
- 18:42Speaker 8: We know we can add this piece of that piece
- 18:45Speaker 8: to you. Maybe about three years we can. You know,
- 18:49Speaker 8: they dad wasn't a king. It wasn't the king.
- 18:55Speaker 7: Saying your daddy the king, you're supposed to get your
- 18:58Speaker 7: project's supposed to.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Be a little less project. Well, sometimes that helps because
- 19:03Speaker 1: I know it's in this DNA. Yeah, I know he's
- 19:06Speaker 1: witnessed it. Yeah. Now I don't know how much of
- 19:09Speaker 1: it he is, but I mean we've seen them.
- 19:12Speaker 7: Uh it wasn't as highlighted I think when we were
- 19:16Speaker 7: coming up, but we've seen famous dads have famous sons
- 19:23Speaker 7: that play professional sports. Griffy the Griffy Legacy, to name
- 19:31Speaker 7: just one. And so it's not brand new, but it
- 19:36Speaker 7: didn't happen instantly. We all we've all had that aha
- 19:41Speaker 7: moment when we find out a.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Superstar talent parent.
- 19:52Speaker 8: Sidney McLaughlin, I think her dad and mom ran track
- 19:57Speaker 8: in college, not enough to be a household name, but
- 20:02Speaker 8: as soon as you hear that, it's like, oh.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Was it Carl Anthony Towns?
- 20:06Speaker 7: His mom played ball for USC or U c l A,
- 20:10Speaker 7: something like that, she was an Olympian or which one
- 20:14Speaker 7: of them?
- 20:14Speaker 1: Laker dude at all? The other way I'm sure of
- 20:20Speaker 1: is JaVale McGee.
- 20:21Speaker 8: Well, I'm saying it's but it's a lot of cases
- 20:23Speaker 8: where we don't always know their parents pedigree and you
- 20:29Speaker 8: find out, well, he was a starting point guard at
- 20:33Speaker 8: McNee state.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Yeah, oh that's why that was his upper right.
- 20:39Speaker 7: That's that little thing, right because you didn't know him,
- 20:43Speaker 7: but you know his foundation was a little.
- 20:45Speaker 1: More firm to learn from.
- 20:48Speaker 8: And I do know, just like when you watch a
- 20:51Speaker 8: lot of the Olympic athletes and it's like, oh, that
- 20:54Speaker 8: both the parents were long distance runner. So that's what
- 20:57Speaker 8: y'all thought was fun. Yeah, it's a Sunday morning. I'm
- 21:02Speaker 8: gonna chase you down five am. Come here, girl, h yeah,
- 21:06Speaker 8: you girl, you better come here.
- 21:07Speaker 1: The jog, got the six flags and catch.
- 21:09Speaker 7: Some rid You better come here, boy, you better stop playing.
- 21:13Speaker 7: If you catch me, you can't. I had all jog,
- 21:18Speaker 7: got the six flags and get on the rise. I
- 21:20Speaker 7: chased her ten miles befo, I caught them. We're uber back,
- 21:23Speaker 7: but we'll run out and uber back kind of thing.
- 21:26Speaker 8: And then it all makes the circle complete because it's like, oh,
- 21:28Speaker 8: that's why she runs, so yeah, he runs like that.
- 21:31Speaker 8: And so you know, it's a part of you that
- 21:36Speaker 8: sometimes is already in motion because you have a family
- 21:43Speaker 8: member that's already been doing it in any industry entertainment,
- 21:51Speaker 8: in the music you know, Oh.
- 21:53Speaker 1: You know that's so and So's niece. Yeah, yeah, you
- 21:57Speaker 1: see that too, that kind of thing. Man.
- 21:59Speaker 8: Her aunt was the lead singer. Okay, so you've been
- 22:01Speaker 8: in so you've been in a recording studio before. Yeah,
- 22:05Speaker 8: you know the different octaves.
- 22:07Speaker 7: You didn't just start off flat and then just well
- 22:10Speaker 7: I can do music. Yeah. So her daddy was Opie
- 22:14Speaker 7: on Andy Griffin.
- 22:16Speaker 8: And it gives like I'm saying with Cooper Flag, I
- 22:19Speaker 8: think it's good for some of these guys. Uh, these
- 22:22Speaker 8: are the guys that turn out to be solid pros.
- 22:25Speaker 8: They might not necessarily become the household name, but those
- 22:31Speaker 8: top two or three picks that just you just let
- 22:34Speaker 8: become a player without this day one, I need you
- 22:40Speaker 8: to be the MVP.
- 22:41Speaker 7: What was that? Do you think that affected Zion like?
- 22:44Speaker 7: Because I think about picks like that where he went
- 22:48Speaker 7: into the NBA and everybody was like, he gonna.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Change the NBA, not just the Pelicans.
- 22:53Speaker 7: He's finna go and it'll be called the ZBA next year,
- 22:58Speaker 7: you know what I'm saying. And anything that didn't live
- 23:03Speaker 7: up to that was met with criticism and screen.
- 23:06Speaker 1: They instantly took him from nineteen to twenty.
- 23:08Speaker 7: Five right right, and then they started bashing him like
- 23:12Speaker 7: he was twenty five April April.
- 23:14Speaker 1: I was nineteen two days after the draft.
- 23:17Speaker 7: You've had the deem that was twenty five fat boy,
- 23:20Speaker 7: and I should just be anything everything unfat, Get up,
- 23:26Speaker 7: fat and play.

- 26:40Speaker 1: Feld no one, what a better and know that I
- 26:49Speaker 1: the one to say you love no words. Welcome back
- 27:05Speaker 1: to this shock shower.
- 27:06Speaker 7: I'm thiswe shock wing kend Major League Baseball.
- 27:11Speaker 1: All Star Games here in Atlanta. We're here in Atlanta.
- 27:15Speaker 7: I get no feel, at least in the area that
- 27:19Speaker 7: I have travel, that the All Star Game is coming?
- 27:22Speaker 7: Do you is there a different vibe? Is the summer
- 27:27Speaker 7: just so relaxed that for cities like Atlanta, it's just
- 27:34Speaker 7: hard to create that. I think it's interesting sports shock.
- 27:39Speaker 7: My route here takes me directly by Truest Park. And
- 27:43Speaker 7: I'm not talking about from the interstate where you could
- 27:46Speaker 7: see the lights.
- 27:47Speaker 1: I mean you can.
- 27:49Speaker 7: Drive right by, right by the battery the entrance, and
- 27:53Speaker 7: there are no banners, there are no people out spending signs,
- 27:58Speaker 7: dressed as uncle Sam. I mean, you know, there is
- 28:02Speaker 7: nothing that says in literally about four or five days.
- 28:07Speaker 1: Tuesday is the game.
- 28:09Speaker 8: So I think the festivities start Friday, something like Saturday,
- 28:13Speaker 8: woy start different little homewads and stuff like that.
- 28:17Speaker 1: The home run derby is Monday.
- 28:19Speaker 9: Nothing, there's a the Futures game.
- 28:23Speaker 7: Nothing, nothing says all nothing, nothing. There's there's no streets blocked.
- 28:30Speaker 1: No, no, no no.
- 28:33Speaker 7: It's almost as quiet as it was when they bought
- 28:37Speaker 7: the property to build trust part.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Remember that.
- 28:40Speaker 7: Remember how one night they were downtown and the next
- 28:43Speaker 7: day everybody was like the brains are moving.
- 28:44Speaker 1: To Cobb County and cop games like what for real?
- 28:47Speaker 7: And that it's like that, like everybody's on some Oh
- 28:51Speaker 7: I haven't seen any advertising, okay, so it's not just me.
- 28:55Speaker 1: No, you would.
- 28:56Speaker 7: Imagine they would have banners and you know, all Star
- 29:00Speaker 7: twenty twenty five logos everywhere. The restaurants would be participating,
- 29:05Speaker 7: the local retail shops and hotels because they're going to
- 29:09Speaker 7: benefit greatly from this, and there's nothing.
- 29:11Speaker 9: But the thing I think part of it is we
- 29:14Speaker 9: don't know who the who the players are.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Oh I did see one thing. I did see one.
- 29:20Speaker 1: You mean as far as the starters as far enough
- 29:23Speaker 1: of them to be to be interesting.
- 29:26Speaker 9: I mean like, even though by rule or however they
- 29:29Speaker 9: call it, every team is represented in the All Star Game,
- 29:34Speaker 9: we don't know, like, okay, beyond show Heyl Tani and
- 29:39Speaker 9: Aaron Judge what baseball players do. Does the casual fan
- 29:43Speaker 9: actually know by by face and even on the team
- 29:48Speaker 9: that they root for?
- 29:50Speaker 1: Do you know any of of the players?
- 29:53Speaker 23: Well?
- 29:53Speaker 8: And we've talked about this several times over the years
- 29:56Speaker 8: that baseball keeps going back and forth with this idea.
- 30:04Speaker 8: Football has always been the same. We've talked about it before.
- 30:08Speaker 8: Where NFL is like college football. We sell you the team.
- 30:17Speaker 8: Don't worry about who in the uniform. You're a cowboy,
- 30:22Speaker 8: no matter how about them. You understand you. You're j E. T.
- 30:27Speaker 1: S Chits Jets. Jets.
- 30:29Speaker 7: Don't don't get caught up in with the old dude
- 30:32Speaker 7: who led and all that kind of stuff. That's how
- 30:35Speaker 7: the NFL is you. You declare a team like college
- 30:40Speaker 7: You don't get to just be a Georgia State panther
- 30:45Speaker 7: next week because they winning. You have to stick with
- 30:49Speaker 7: your team. I gotta win and lose it all I
- 30:52Speaker 7: can clap for other people, but you can't actually stand
- 30:57Speaker 7: up for anybody but Auburn. That's how the NFL is.
- 30:59Speaker 7: I said that to say basketball has always been faces.
- 31:05Speaker 7: They tried the supporter team thing. It failed.
- 31:10Speaker 1: In Magic Bird, they ushered in the star. Come see
- 31:15Speaker 1: our stars. Yeah, no matter.
- 31:19Speaker 7: Where they moved to showtime, people are Lebron James fans.
- 31:24Speaker 7: They become fans of whatever team he has been on,
- 31:28Speaker 7: just as much as it is that they might be
- 31:30Speaker 7: a Cleveland, but they follow him, They buy his jersey
- 31:34Speaker 7: to the next team and all that kind of That's
- 31:36Speaker 7: what the NBA, Major League Baseball has gone back and forth.
- 31:40Speaker 1: That's why I said that. Yeah, some eras.
- 31:43Speaker 7: It's being Yankee, and in some eras it's no, just
- 31:46Speaker 7: wait until Barry Bonds is up to the plate.
- 31:49Speaker 8: Nownh, that's it, Mark McGuire, don't worry about what uniform
- 31:53Speaker 8: you getting caught up into PARTICULARSS and all that. It's
- 31:56Speaker 8: Charlie Hussel day. It's just watch the ball go over
- 31:59Speaker 8: the fence. Now we're back to selling you the team.
- 32:03Speaker 8: And I think that's why we don't know NASCAR has
- 32:07Speaker 8: fallen off a little bit because of that. I think
- 32:10Speaker 8: they used to They used to and they used to
- 32:12Speaker 8: sell you.
- 32:13Speaker 1: The drive driver. Now they sell you the sport.
- 32:16Speaker 8: So none of us know any you know, the casual
- 32:18Speaker 8: fan doesn't know the drivers. We used to know the
- 32:24Speaker 8: drivers and we didn't even watch. Yeah, but we knew
- 32:28Speaker 8: Richie Petty. We knew who Jeff Gordon was when we
- 32:32Speaker 8: saw him, yes, right off the bat.
- 32:35Speaker 7: Now it's like you don't really know. And I think
- 32:38Speaker 7: baseball they're All Star game. It's it's suffering. They've gone
- 32:44Speaker 7: back and.
- 32:45Speaker 8: Forth with the whole whoever wins gets home field advantage.
- 32:50Speaker 8: Remember that year they tried that. Years they went to.
- 32:57Speaker 7: Like a certain innings pitched. It was something they were
- 33:00Speaker 7: They've tried different formulas now.
- 33:03Speaker 9: Like with the look of it too, to where there
- 33:05Speaker 9: there was an all Star uniform uniform and when before
- 33:08Speaker 9: it was just you wear your own team's jersey, they've
- 33:11Speaker 9: they've just gone back to that. Now your own team's jersey.
- 33:14Speaker 7: Now. This is something that we were often talking about
- 33:17Speaker 7: how a lot of sporting events don't seem to be
- 33:23Speaker 7: attended as far as live participation, but because of the
- 33:27Speaker 7: television viewing rights, it really doesn't seem to matter. Do
- 33:31Speaker 7: you think that's why they don't put any investment into
- 33:37Speaker 7: grassroots on the ground, street team type advertising, because you know,
- 33:42Speaker 7: it doesn't matter who that nobody in Cobb County knows that.
- 33:45Speaker 1: The game is coming.
- 33:46Speaker 7: It doesn't matter that I live literally two miles away
- 33:50Speaker 7: from this stadium and I don't know that the game
- 33:53Speaker 7: is coming.
- 33:53Speaker 1: It's going to be on.
- 33:54Speaker 7: TV and everybody that has a TV is being charged
- 33:59Speaker 7: at thirty two connection fee all over the world to
- 34:04Speaker 7: watch this game. So you know, why would I make
- 34:07Speaker 7: a flyer for this? It's you know, I'm good. You're
- 34:11Speaker 7: saying the purest will come, the purist will advertise it,
- 34:15Speaker 7: and the promoter is going has a built in profit.
- 34:19Speaker 7: I don't have to put the body in the seat.
- 34:23Speaker 7: If you're a baseball fan, you'll be here. But all
- 34:26Speaker 7: of that, we got to get the crowd. The TV
- 34:29Speaker 7: rights take care of that.
- 34:30Speaker 1: Well.
- 34:31Speaker 8: The one thing we do know that all All Star games,
- 34:34Speaker 8: whether it's been the Pro Bowl, we talked for weeks
- 34:41Speaker 8: and weeks about the NBA All Star Game and the
- 34:44Speaker 8: Pro Bowl stop playing the game and almost is gone
- 34:47Speaker 8: to a skills challenge and a seven h seven flag football.
- 34:53Speaker 8: The NBA don't know what to do yea where they're
- 34:56Speaker 8: All Star Games, so it becomes.
- 35:00Speaker 1: The NBA might as well just do American Ninja Warrior.
- 35:03Speaker 7: You know what I'm saying. It's that ridiculous. It might
- 35:06Speaker 7: just need to be a convention almost where you invite
- 35:11Speaker 7: so the fans can still come and to get the
- 35:13Speaker 7: autograph and maybe a kind of interactive you know, let
- 35:19Speaker 7: show hey through somebody all pitch or something. But it
- 35:24Speaker 7: seems that people watching it with some type of anticipation,
- 35:28Speaker 7: it's not happening. Or you have to create almost kind
- 35:31Speaker 7: of like the NBA is thinking where they take the
- 35:35Speaker 7: US born players and play them against none US born players,
- 35:42Speaker 7: if they maybe something.
- 35:43Speaker 1: Like that, Ain't that with the whole World War One
- 35:47Speaker 1: two to give to give it? Kind of like that
- 35:49Speaker 1: Olympic field to the national.
- 35:53Speaker 9: Or that that they that they made that a separate
- 35:55Speaker 9: thing with the World Baseball Classic.
- 36:00Speaker 7: Shot that gun? So we're back to clip. We just
- 36:06Speaker 7: fished the cuffs. Now just you know, put your hands up. Well,
- 36:10Speaker 7: he just out here to tell you're here in Atlanta.
- 36:12Speaker 7: You get no feel that the All Star Game uh
- 36:16Speaker 7: is here. I got an advertisement email like two days
- 36:21Speaker 7: ago that said I think maybe Jermaine dupri and ludicrous
- 36:30Speaker 7: and one of the young hot country singers, uh.
- 36:36Speaker 1: Something Brown maybe uh Brown Brown, Caine Brown.
- 36:44Speaker 8: I think they're doing some of the music for the
- 36:47Speaker 8: All Star and it was like star and I forgot
- 36:50Speaker 8: the All Star Games.
- 36:51Speaker 7: We we we know more about prime days than we do.
- 36:56Speaker 9: Is that his name? Is that his name? The country?
- 36:59Speaker 9: This country singer? Uh you say Brown? I'm thinking Kane Brown.
- 37:03Speaker 1: Kane Brown, fill with a K.
- 37:05Speaker 8: Yeah, I think they're doing maybe the pre and post.
- 37:10Speaker 9: Or came Kane Brown, Kane Brown and well and also
- 37:14Speaker 9: Zach Brown.
- 37:15Speaker 1: That's another another country artist, Zach Brown.
- 37:17Speaker 8: Okay, Yeah, Zach Brown is the one has the restaurant down.
- 37:21Speaker 8: He has a Bobby Bobby cue stand or something. Yeah,
- 37:24Speaker 8: a food truck or something like that. Just divorce like
- 37:27Speaker 8: his ninth wife or something.
- 37:28Speaker 1: But haven't we all you know what I'm saying?
- 37:30Speaker 5: All right, all right, reading on the voice about all right,
- 37:37Speaker 5: my happiness matter too, And we'll be back with more

- 41:13Speaker 7: on Amanda Anisimova.
- 41:17Speaker 1: Hope, I'm saying that that is good. I'll roll with that.
- 41:21Speaker 1: I mean, I appreciate that she's American, which one, Uh,
- 41:27Speaker 1: I hope I'm saying that right A N I S
- 41:30Speaker 1: I M O V A. Are we all American?
- 41:37Speaker 7: You know, right right? You ain't got to spell it,
- 41:41Speaker 7: you ain't got to spell it with like it's from America,
- 41:44Speaker 7: but we you know, great American melting pot thing all that.
- 41:47Speaker 8: Yeah, they're playing right now in the first set at
- 41:52Speaker 8: Wimblington in the semi finals. So we are winding down Wimbledon.
- 41:59Speaker 8: Uh And I want to say she is the Yes,
- 42:02Speaker 8: she's the only American player left in the four in
- 42:07Speaker 8: the in the two semis So and I don't think
- 42:10Speaker 8: we have an American male Blake Blake Shelton, was it
- 42:15Speaker 8: Ben Shelton?
- 42:16Speaker 1: Ben been lost yesterday? Okay, it's a center Jan Center.
- 42:23Speaker 1: I did watch that he lost yesterday. So I think uh.
- 42:28Speaker 8: Alcarez Center Djokovic, and I don't know the fourth one
- 42:35Speaker 8: for the men's side, but we will check down on.
- 42:39Speaker 9: Is the American American? Last name Fritz, he's the fifth seed. Okay,
- 42:46Speaker 9: is he American?
- 42:49Speaker 1: Yeah? Okay, we got an American on the men's side. Progress.
- 42:54Speaker 1: What's his name?
- 42:55Speaker 5: Uh?
- 42:56Speaker 1: Borce?
- 42:58Speaker 7: No, he said his last name is free Fritz. Yeah,
- 43:01Speaker 7: that's American. So we're Jones.
- 43:08Speaker 1: We got Fritz and yeah, that's you know, nothing says
- 43:17Speaker 1: America like Fritz and a great Gotta make sure I'm
- 43:21Speaker 1: saying that right. Yeah. Did you have that app for pronunciations?
- 43:29Speaker 1: It's not an app, but.
- 43:34Speaker 8: He just guess because I, you know, I usually catch
- 43:38Speaker 8: the names and learn them by hearing them, you know, pronounced,
- 43:41Speaker 8: And sometimes that's how you have to actually learn names,
- 43:45Speaker 8: even when I'm doing when I'm doing games for high school.
- 43:51Speaker 8: Before the game, sometimes you go up to the kid
- 43:54Speaker 8: or the coach and you just let them tell you
- 43:57Speaker 8: the name. Don't try to break it down. Just listen
- 44:02Speaker 8: to what the kids said and say that don't don't
- 44:06Speaker 8: look at the word. Yes, right, he said, don't look
- 44:11Speaker 8: at the.
- 44:11Speaker 1: Word because then I would be going sab. That's not
- 44:20Speaker 1: what he told you. But it's spelled all right, this
- 44:25Speaker 1: is okay. This I found all you wanted.
- 44:28Speaker 19: Amanda is a mover.
- 44:31Speaker 1: And this a mova.
- 44:34Speaker 15: Go to do it again, Amanda Mova.
- 44:38Speaker 1: That did not this move. None of that helped. That
- 44:41Speaker 1: made it worse. Amanda on this move. Oh that was
- 44:46Speaker 1: two words.
- 44:46Speaker 7: She said.
- 44:52Speaker 1: Let's just let's me go with Amanda. Mandy.
- 45:01Speaker 7: Let's just go with many please, can we? That's American?
- 45:04Speaker 7: Nothing says nothing says Murica like Mandy. Yes, you gotta
- 45:10Speaker 7: be Mandy. Let's go with that.
- 45:12Speaker 1: Please.
- 45:12Speaker 7: You gotta be from Montana the middle of I'm talking
- 45:16Speaker 7: about right there in the center.
- 45:19Speaker 1: But Wilton action, I mean, it's been some good action too.
- 45:22Speaker 13: Uh.
- 45:22Speaker 7: And the one thing I've I've dedicated myself to is
- 45:27Speaker 7: watching matches, getting used to the new era. It's just
- 45:33Speaker 7: like I'm reprogramming myself with the NFL, reprogrammed myself with
- 45:39Speaker 7: college football.
- 45:41Speaker 1: I even went out bought a magazine just to get
- 45:46Speaker 1: you guys. At some point, you gotta go back the names,
- 45:51Speaker 1: the moments, the coaches you know are gone yester year
- 45:56Speaker 1: that they don't exist, So you're still looking for you know,
- 45:59Speaker 1: even my coaches. Those guys now are seventy.
- 46:03Speaker 8: They don't coach anymore, either some kind of special assistant
- 46:08Speaker 8: or they you know, but very few of them are
- 46:10Speaker 8: actually day to day coaches. The name their sons are
- 46:14Speaker 8: coaches now, that kind of thing, and getting towards the
- 46:18Speaker 8: end of their career. And they're in their fifties now.
- 46:21Speaker 8: So I went to the bookstore the other day because I'm.
- 46:25Speaker 7: You know, a whole store for books. Yeah, Barings and
- 46:29Speaker 7: Nobles they're still open. Yeah, and they sell books, stip
- 46:34Speaker 7: books and magazine audio tapes. Ah yeah, I'm gonna go
- 46:41Speaker 7: get me a half ounce of books from there tomorrow.
- 46:44Speaker 1: I wanted. I wanted to.
- 46:46Speaker 8: I wanted to get a good grip, good basis on
- 46:48Speaker 8: the real Auburn, not the one name or two names,
- 46:52Speaker 8: just you know, and and the rest of the conference.
- 46:54Speaker 1: And retool who's even coaching?
- 46:57Speaker 7: Because even as a person who watches a lot of times,
- 47:00Speaker 7: and I may I'm making fun of myself that I
- 47:03Speaker 7: don't be knowing who the head coach of certain And
- 47:05Speaker 7: I used to know every coach yah of an SEC team.
- 47:11Speaker 7: Now the guys I might mention was fired four four
- 47:16Speaker 7: times ago. You you could you could you could track
- 47:20Speaker 7: one or two five five more coaches since since he
- 47:24Speaker 7: was at where I'm talking, and you would know.
- 47:26Speaker 1: Which top recruit was going to which program.
- 47:29Speaker 8: And if you don't retool yourself every once in a while,
- 47:32Speaker 8: you won't be in the same name with tennis.
- 47:35Speaker 1: Tennis hasn't gotten hasn't fallen off. The names that we
- 47:40Speaker 1: had gotten so familiar with have passed. So really, Djokovic
- 47:46Speaker 1: is the only last of the last breed. The rest
- 47:49Speaker 1: of them. Dudes are broadcasting tennis now.
- 47:52Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, you see exactly right. They're the new broadcasters now.
- 47:56Speaker 8: So uh but Wimbledon is going on and we'll be
- 47:59Speaker 8: right back act more Sports Jock Show right after this.
- 48:16Speaker 1: There must be some way out of here, said a joke.
- 48:20Speaker 27: Got to the see.

- 49:43Speaker 28: size of a few grains of sand, could potentially be lethal.
- 49:46Speaker 28: This isn't an AD to scare you, but it is

- 51:05Speaker 7: for Falcon super fan the Bird Lady Carolyn Freeman has
- 51:13Speaker 7: missed court and they have a warrant. I guess she's
- 51:19Speaker 7: still under those charges from last year where she had
- 51:22Speaker 7: defrauded some people when not the case.
- 51:25Speaker 1: Yeah, they maybe did it not go to court.
- 51:28Speaker 8: She had defrauded several people about some tailgates set up
- 51:34Speaker 8: late fraud. I'm thinking those are the same charges where
- 51:40Speaker 8: she was supposed to be setting it up and providing
- 51:44Speaker 8: them and had taken deposits and taking the live entertainment
- 51:49Speaker 8: and all of that, and people got here and ready
- 51:52Speaker 8: to go.
- 51:54Speaker 1: Huh uh yeah Carolyn, Yeah, hey you doing Yeah, Yeah,
- 52:01Speaker 1: we're here for that Saints Falcon game. Oh yeah, you
- 52:05Speaker 1: need to remote control. No, you were settling up the
- 52:09Speaker 1: tailgate outside. You send us. We're hearing a lot, but
- 52:13Speaker 1: we don't see the setup. Oh, she had scammed some
- 52:16Speaker 1: some Chiefs fans.
- 52:19Speaker 7: Chiefs fans. Can't catch it. Broke one of them. One
- 52:22Speaker 7: of them was robbing people.
- 52:24Speaker 1: The other ones froze the day.
- 52:26Speaker 7: They're trying to recoup their money from caroling.
- 52:30Speaker 1: We didn't give you all that money. We can't afford heat.
- 52:33Speaker 1: We can't afford the guys that froze in the backyard.
- 52:37Speaker 1: And they were Chiefs fans. They were Chiefs fans, right,
- 52:40Speaker 1: And I think somebody's being charged with their murder.
- 52:43Speaker 3: Murderer.
- 52:45Speaker 9: They try to make it seem like they just went outside,
- 52:50Speaker 9: but they I think overdosed or something.
- 52:52Speaker 8: Yeah, they're trying to do one of those where I
- 52:55Speaker 8: sold you the product and it's my fault for whatever
- 52:58Speaker 8: happened to you. I really believed in that, you know, underage, Yes,
- 53:06Speaker 8: because I think anything underage the adult is responsible for.
- 53:11Speaker 1: But Big Kenny swing by that and want two ounces
- 53:17Speaker 1: as he might.
- 53:19Speaker 17: Every now and then.
- 53:20Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, It wouldn't be It wouldn't throw.
- 53:22Speaker 7: Nobody off if I swung by looking for two ounces
- 53:26Speaker 7: and then later. I mean, that's the thing. He was
- 53:30Speaker 7: cool to last four hundred and thirty two times he
- 53:33Speaker 7: came by getting two ounces, and then this time he
- 53:37Speaker 7: went a little too far, and now here I am
- 53:40Speaker 7: looking at, you know, fourteen years in prison because we
- 53:45Speaker 7: because it was Thursday. Yeah, never, I was just yeah,
- 53:50Speaker 7: it was Yeah, I'm just a drug deal.
- 53:51Speaker 1: I ain't no murderer. Yeah.
- 53:53Speaker 7: I've never believed in that either, sports Jack. I've always
- 53:56Speaker 7: been uncomfortable with unless in those cases where the person
- 54:01Speaker 7: is intentionally yeah, yeah, I'm giving you hot doses. I'm
- 54:06Speaker 7: just yeah, make to stop the formula that way.
- 54:10Speaker 1: Yeah. But chiefs fans, she said she was she scammed from.
- 54:14Speaker 7: Chief fans, scammed chief fans, and because she she was
- 54:17Speaker 7: supposed to have provided live.
- 54:21Speaker 1: Yeah, for chairs of how many people?
- 54:23Speaker 31: Was it?
- 54:25Speaker 7: Uh?
- 54:26Speaker 1: It was nice setups? What it was. They did pay
- 54:29Speaker 1: her fourteen thousand dollars, So I'm sure what No, geez,
- 54:34Speaker 1: try now, now what makes you not show up for court? Jail?
- 54:41Speaker 7: I'm saying from a personal perspective, but you know I
- 54:44Speaker 7: gave the court. Yeah, I'm saying, but I know I
- 54:47Speaker 7: know when I go up in there, folks gonna look
- 54:49Speaker 7: at me.
- 54:50Speaker 8: Like you tube lien right, one thing right, I sent
- 54:53Speaker 8: you the directions and everything, one thirty July ten, and the.
- 54:57Speaker 1: Judge is gonna look at me and from the bench like, boy,
- 55:00Speaker 1: you dead ass wrong. You know you're wrong. So you're
- 55:03Speaker 1: just not gonna go to jail now, you know what
- 55:08Speaker 1: I'm saying, No.
- 55:11Speaker 7: I'm going effect because see what's really what's really going
- 55:16Speaker 7: to affect me. It's really going to affect me when
- 55:18Speaker 7: I come to court to answer for this charge, the
- 55:22Speaker 7: charges I haven't answered.
- 55:24Speaker 1: For before, and all of that.
- 55:26Speaker 7: You know they have all that right there at court
- 55:28Speaker 7: like hey, so in this YouTube and so I ain't fit, No,
- 55:33Speaker 7: but at some point you gotta fait the piper. Okay,
- 55:39Speaker 7: Greg that what you say, it doesn't go away. And
- 55:43Speaker 7: now they looking for the bird lady. That's all I'm saying.
- 55:47Speaker 7: That's all I'm saying. To be worse than jail. Obviously,
- 55:51Speaker 7: you've never been locked up looking for free me better
- 55:57Speaker 7: than trying knowing exactly where it locked up me.
- 56:00Speaker 8: And seeing by yourself two three more days and making
- 56:03Speaker 8: it worse for yourself in front of the judge's eyes.
- 56:06Speaker 1: Though.
- 56:07Speaker 8: But you know I trusted you to show up at
- 56:10Speaker 8: one thirty on the tenth, and now you're gonna make
- 56:13Speaker 8: me come look for you know what I'm saying.
- 56:15Speaker 7: I wanted to be here. Yeah, you got to understand
- 56:17Speaker 7: you You're not really listening to my point. I'm saying
- 56:20Speaker 7: I wanted.
- 56:21Speaker 1: To be here.
- 56:22Speaker 7: So what happened, See, what had happened was that I
- 56:28Speaker 7: was you forgot no, no, see I was coming, and
- 56:31Speaker 7: then I wasn't feeling well on that day, okay, and
- 56:39Speaker 7: I had called the court.
- 56:42Speaker 1: We have no record of you calling. I talked to Emma.
- 56:46Speaker 1: That the name Emma. She said. She delivered a message.
- 56:49Speaker 1: Emma hasn't worked here in four years. That was the
- 56:53Speaker 1: number I had. That's the number I had.
- 56:56Speaker 7: Emma said she delivered a message, But she couldn't have
- 56:59Speaker 7: told you that moved lives out in Oregon now with
- 57:04Speaker 7: the grandkids. That's crazy, Yeah, that is Yeah, that she's
- 57:11Speaker 7: still answering the phones from Oregon because I'm gonna stick
- 57:14Speaker 7: with my line.
- 57:15Speaker 1: That's crazy that now answering y'all phones from way on orgon.
- 57:19Speaker 7: But I talked to her and she said she would
- 57:21Speaker 7: speak to you about me not making court and it
- 57:23Speaker 7: would be She said it was gonna be all right, baby,
- 57:25Speaker 7: It's what she told me. And you told her you
- 57:28Speaker 7: were going to turn yourself in when we ain't had
- 57:31Speaker 7: that conversation. I'm not turning myself in. I'm not about
- 57:35Speaker 7: not yet. I ain't talked to her about turning myself
- 57:37Speaker 7: in yet. I'm still working on Well, he's just making
- 57:39Speaker 7: this worse on yourself. No, I'm gonna turn myself in eventually. See,
- 57:46Speaker 7: I don't see the benefit of you doing this, commands.
- 57:49Speaker 7: I'm just adding time to your now. Nothing you say
- 57:53Speaker 7: when you get him, I'm going to believe. So I'm
- 57:56Speaker 7: gonna throw the book at you and see that and
- 57:59Speaker 7: for and for a person like me that'll that understanding
- 58:04Speaker 7: will only make me run farther and faster like these
- 58:07Speaker 7: every day I'm out these folks more mad at me,
- 58:10Speaker 7: So I might as well just change my identity.
- 58:13Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
- 58:14Speaker 8: It's a sports duck show. Right after you're gonna change
- 58:18Speaker 8: your identity. Come on, you're looking at nine months. Now,
- 58:21Speaker 8: you're looking at forty eight at nine months, So you
- 58:27Speaker 8: ain't he come be back right than this?
- 58:49Speaker 14: John't by Wayne Born of The Sports John Show with
- 58:52Speaker 14: Wayne Dandry is coming up next.
- 58:54Speaker 10: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance. Three
- 58:57Speaker 10: quarters of Americans believe that coverage since a critical piece
- 59:01Speaker 10: of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have
- 59:04Speaker 10: life insurance.
- 59:05Speaker 32: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 59:07Speaker 32: just getting started with our family and thought, we live
- 59:09Speaker 32: forever life insurance.
- 59:10Speaker 1: What's the last thing on my mind? What about you?
- 59:13Speaker 15: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 59:15Speaker 32: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 59:17Speaker 32: bills piling up, I was worried how my family will
- 59:19Speaker 32: survive without me. That's what I made an appointment with
- 59:21Speaker 32: the insurance.
- 59:21Speaker 10: Informant information gives you power, and life insurance gives your
- 59:25Speaker 10: family security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 59:28Speaker 31: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I
- 59:30Speaker 31: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 59:32Speaker 10: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 59:34Speaker 10: whether you earn a little or a lot, all you
- 59:37Speaker 10: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 59:39Speaker 10: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 59:43Speaker 10: two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 59:48Speaker 10: Log on today benefits orbills dot com. That's benefits orbills
- 59:52Speaker 10: dot com.
- 59:57Speaker 23: I never realized that I'd be taking care of a
- 1:00:00Speaker 23: two year old and a nine year old on my own.
- 1:00:03Speaker 23: I think men can be a little stubborn sometimes, where
- 1:00:06Speaker 23: pride gets in the way and they may want the help,
- 1:00:09Speaker 23: they may not know how to ask. With my traditions,
- 1:00:13Speaker 23: with the family support in line, and just with my
- 1:00:15Speaker 23: mind frame, I was able to turn a negative into
- 1:00:19Speaker 23: a positive. I knew I needed more tools in my
- 1:00:22Speaker 23: toolbox to take care of these little girls that just
- 1:00:26Speaker 23: lost their mother. It's time for me to be that
- 1:00:28Speaker 23: father that I knew I could be. I think just
- 1:00:31Speaker 23: being that good role model as well, that model's good
- 1:00:34Speaker 23: behavior in front of them, going to work every day,
- 1:00:37Speaker 23: coming home and being able to put on that smile.

- 1:01:40Speaker 7: Welcome back to the sport Shock Shower. I'm in the
- 1:01:42Speaker 7: Sports Shock Wayne Gangy. Good morning to you out there
- 1:01:45Speaker 7: in this thing land. Glad to be here with you.
- 1:01:47Speaker 7: It is the tenth day of July. We are getting
- 1:01:51Speaker 7: so close. I know, it seems so far. We're getting
- 1:01:55Speaker 7: so close to football season. It's one of the things
- 1:02:00Speaker 7: you don't even want to talk about it. It's like
- 1:02:02Speaker 7: fight club. You don't talk about it. I won't talk
- 1:02:04Speaker 7: about now. They want to act like it's not really
- 1:02:06Speaker 7: getting closed. No next thing, you know, you're gonna wake
- 1:02:10Speaker 7: up and you're gonna smell fresh grass.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: No clue that is coming, Like the All Scard game.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: Just before you know it.
- 1:02:20Speaker 7: It be a whole bunch of different banners and jerseys
- 1:02:23Speaker 7: around you.
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: What is three weeks away from the first preseason game. Yes,
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: it's here, It just don't seem like it because nobody
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: want to talk about it right now. Everybody's still in
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: that cold quiet you know what is it when you're
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: on the sub steph mode?
- 1:02:42Speaker 7: You can't say anything? Quiet mode, You can't even talk
- 1:02:48Speaker 7: because you give what your position. Yeah, yeah, let's go
- 1:02:52Speaker 7: with quiet.
- 1:02:55Speaker 8: But we are three way, three weeks away, two weeks
- 1:02:58Speaker 8: for everybody going to camp. College back in camp.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: In two weeks.
- 1:03:04Speaker 7: A lot of the guys enjoying this middle of July
- 1:03:08Speaker 7: and we're going to be back into the thick of it.
- 1:03:10Speaker 7: And nothing is more exciting in this country than football season.
- 1:03:16Speaker 7: It's a different animal, it's a different energy. It seems
- 1:03:21Speaker 7: that people even take it a little easier on crime
- 1:03:26Speaker 7: because they're scared to get locked up in that time
- 1:03:29Speaker 7: of the year.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: Unless you're scamming people at Tailgates.
- 1:03:34Speaker 7: You know what I'm about. We have a lot of
- 1:03:36Speaker 7: guys that for off their time in January. Hey, Jeorge,
- 1:03:40Speaker 7: just wait till January. Can I'll come? You know, they
- 1:03:44Speaker 7: don't want to miss football season. And we got a
- 1:03:46Speaker 7: lot of storyline. Bill Belichick at Carolina primetime without his kid.
- 1:03:56Speaker 7: You know, we allowed to talk about this season coming up. Well, well,
- 1:04:00Speaker 7: you know the mic Anon Rodgers in Pittsburgh. What an
- 1:04:07Speaker 7: oddity that nobody saw justin fields. Can't he finally this
- 1:04:12Speaker 7: is his last time? Because where is he?
- 1:04:15Speaker 4: What is that do?
- 1:04:16Speaker 7: What is that with the Cowboys? Pete Carroll is the
- 1:04:20Speaker 7: Raiders coach? I mean, we got a lot of blanks.
- 1:04:22Speaker 7: Where is Watson? He just got married. He's uh, he
- 1:04:27Speaker 7: may not like playing this year.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. That's that's that's usually that
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: that's usually when you will should do her make the team? Man? Yeah,
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: somebody's got to go because from that team.
- 1:04:40Speaker 7: Yeah, but I was laughing when at DeShawn Watson because
- 1:04:44Speaker 7: when you get married, that's usually when you find out
- 1:04:46Speaker 7: you're finn to get indicted.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: You got to trans got to transfer your property to somebody.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: You know, somebody can't testify that the new wife she
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: knows things. I'm saying now she.
- 1:05:00Speaker 7: Can't be asked about it though I don't know what
- 1:05:02Speaker 7: she knows, but she can't be asked about it under oath.
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: My wife. Yeah, my wife.
- 1:05:07Speaker 8: So we got some storylines and we're getting close to it. Yeah, cowboys,
- 1:05:13Speaker 8: Jerry Jones, this is last year being the owner.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: Will give it over to Stephen after this. What are
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: the fault that's going to mean? Are you killing Jerry
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: Jones right now? Because that's the only way he would
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: things over to Steve. This is the thing. This is
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: the thing I was going to say. At some point
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: we have been we have accepted that a reality is.
- 1:05:38Speaker 7: Nobody, no matter what goat status you've achieved, nobody beats
- 1:05:43Speaker 7: Father Time. And right now, you know Jerry about to
- 1:05:48Speaker 7: come out for like round fifteen, it gets father time. Man.
- 1:05:52Speaker 7: You know, Father Time just been rope and open with
- 1:05:54Speaker 7: Jerry Jones eighty five and each and every time he
- 1:05:58Speaker 7: comes to the mic, he looked about eighty five and
- 1:06:01Speaker 7: whatever number of days he is in that year.
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: So at some point, even for him, it'll it'll become labored.
- 1:06:11Speaker 7: This getting up, this putting on a suit, this binding
- 1:06:15Speaker 7: somebody to help me get ready to go to this,
- 1:06:18Speaker 7: you know, all of cause Stevens getting up there too.
- 1:06:21Speaker 7: He got his own affairs to manage. So at some point,
- 1:06:25Speaker 7: I imagine Jerryo'll have to go. Look, either it's this
- 1:06:29Speaker 7: year or I think there's I'm sure there's a succession
- 1:06:33Speaker 7: plan in place. And you know, especially after what that
- 1:06:37Speaker 7: with with Robert Ursay, then I'm sorry Jim irsay with
- 1:06:43Speaker 7: the coach that there is some plan in place. But
- 1:06:48Speaker 7: while he's there, he's still the owner slash GM. He's
- 1:06:53Speaker 7: going to do that until yeah, if he if it's
- 1:06:57Speaker 7: if he's going to hand over the reins, it ain't.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: It's not now.
- 1:07:00Speaker 8: And I think I think his biggest fear is Steven
- 1:07:05Speaker 8: takes over any wins does better.
- 1:07:07Speaker 7: Yes, yes, I'm trying to out here. Well, that makes
- 1:07:13Speaker 7: everything that everyone has said about me true. Yes, that
- 1:07:18Speaker 7: that that the grip I had was too tight, tight
- 1:07:24Speaker 7: I was over think.
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: It wasn't that I didn't have the pieces, It's just
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: that I wouldn't let the pieces flow. I always kind
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: of some kind of way smooth the edge that made
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: it not go away.
- 1:07:38Speaker 8: It was that little pressure of not letting Mike run
- 1:07:43Speaker 8: his offense, the way he fully wants to run it.
- 1:07:47Speaker 8: That kind of thing, Just those little because when you're
- 1:07:49Speaker 8: talking about winning and losing in sports, it is just
- 1:07:53Speaker 8: those one or two particulars. It's it's Kirk Cousins say
- 1:07:56Speaker 8: he felt misled by the Falcon after they draft that
- 1:08:00Speaker 8: Michael Pennant, and you think, well, that's not a big deal,
- 1:08:03Speaker 8: and it's like, sure it is, because if you're that
- 1:08:07Speaker 8: means that that.
- 1:08:08Speaker 7: Was always somewhere in your head. You you never you
- 1:08:15Speaker 7: never felt settled. You took a job that you thought
- 1:08:18Speaker 7: was your job, only to find out that you were
- 1:08:21Speaker 7: kind of just keeping the seat warm your erim you
- 1:08:26Speaker 7: was then term, Yeah, you were just buying some time.
- 1:08:30Speaker 7: So you never really gave fully in. Maybe that's why
- 1:08:34Speaker 7: you didn't run on that play. Why buy all in
- 1:08:38Speaker 7: when you Yeah, you know, y'all, I ain't building no
- 1:08:44Speaker 7: statue of me.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: Y'all just got me here. It's a filler, right, I might.
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: I might need to keep myself healthy for my next team.
- 1:08:51Speaker 8: So yes, because there is a next team. Yeah, his
- 1:08:56Speaker 8: locker is next to me, so I know, man, you know,
- 1:09:00Speaker 8: so you know little things like that. So I think
- 1:09:02Speaker 8: sometimes with Jerry I just know, it seems that each
- 1:09:07Speaker 8: year he gets more he wants to prove that being
- 1:09:12Speaker 8: this kind of almost owner slash head coach team. But
- 1:09:16Speaker 8: it's never won in a championship. He's his way, he
- 1:09:20Speaker 8: has never won.
- 1:09:23Speaker 9: He's one of the few like owners that were He's
- 1:09:28Speaker 9: the last of that group of owners that were also
- 1:09:31Speaker 9: football guys in a way, like Al Davis or Jerry Richardson,
- 1:09:40Speaker 9: you know, who were involved in football in some way
- 1:09:43Speaker 9: before they became the owner of the team and everyone
- 1:09:49Speaker 9: else or like all the other owners in the league
- 1:09:51Speaker 9: they are they made their billions in some other way.
- 1:09:56Speaker 9: They weren't football guys. So it's like he's still trying
- 1:09:59Speaker 9: to do something that that doesn't really no one else
- 1:10:04Speaker 9: really does anymore. And because of that, because of the
- 1:10:08Speaker 9: influence that he has, maybe it's it's he hasn't, like
- 1:10:12Speaker 9: you said, he hasn't won in that way and.
- 1:10:15Speaker 7: Turning it over like right now as the whatever he
- 1:10:18Speaker 7: is CEO owner slash gm GM slash head coach, slash
- 1:10:25Speaker 7: of marketing director slash HR consultant. You know what I'm saying,
- 1:10:31Speaker 7: all of that stuff, at least his claim to fame
- 1:10:35Speaker 7: is that and we are still the highest. We still
- 1:10:38Speaker 7: have the highest valuation of NFL franchises. Now that's still
- 1:10:45Speaker 7: a trophy in itself, but we've never won, but we
- 1:10:49Speaker 7: still are valuable. So if Stephen comes along and now
- 1:10:53Speaker 7: not only are we valuable, but we add a championship
- 1:10:57Speaker 7: to that.
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: But you were not trying to make you you wanted
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: winning in that to go hand to hand. If you're
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: Jerry Jones, right, yeah, you want to You want to
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: go to look a certain way.
- 1:11:11Speaker 7: So being that valuable without the championships or a man
- 1:11:15Speaker 7: like him is not really valuable, right, And that's what
- 1:11:19Speaker 7: I'm saying. He's the Lakers just sold for all that money,
- 1:11:24Speaker 7: but the championships go along with all of that exactly
- 1:11:28Speaker 7: to you know, you just kind of made it cool
- 1:11:31Speaker 7: to be And that's why I think he's afraid that
- 1:11:35Speaker 7: at some point that will have faded with his son
- 1:11:39Speaker 7: coming in and actually winning. Like, oh man, you tried
- 1:11:42Speaker 7: to make it seem like it was just enough that
- 1:11:45Speaker 7: we were you know, you were still saying, how about
- 1:11:47Speaker 7: them boys? But now we're really actually winning and we're
- 1:11:50Speaker 7: doing it a different way, which means we could have
- 1:11:52Speaker 7: been doing this. And I don't think he'll just turn
- 1:11:55Speaker 7: it over because if he was gonna do it, he'd
- 1:11:57Speaker 7: have been done it in his sixties or seventies. Right here,
- 1:12:00Speaker 7: almost ninety years old. That's oh no, I think he's
- 1:12:03Speaker 7: right around eighty four eighty five, and that's almost nine
- 1:12:06Speaker 7: years old. That's you know, especially when you're talking about
- 1:12:11Speaker 7: a game that's played by season.
- 1:12:13Speaker 8: Well, I thought when he got Mike McCarthy, he was
- 1:12:17Speaker 8: gonna give a little room because Mike had won a championship.
- 1:12:21Speaker 9: I thought that if he was going to do that,
- 1:12:23Speaker 9: he was gonna give you know, coach wasn't. I wasn't
- 1:12:26Speaker 9: too sure about that because it didn't happen. When he
- 1:12:29Speaker 9: had Bill Parcells, he didn't really give him that room,
- 1:12:33Speaker 9: right and he left.
- 1:12:35Speaker 8: Yeah, So I figured, Okay, when we go back down this,
- 1:12:39Speaker 8: I'm gonna go get this winning coach, I'm gonna give
- 1:12:42Speaker 8: him a room to operate.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: Didn't happen, and it didn't happen. Now he's Jerry is
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: drying up game plans right now for the first preseason game,
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: and we'll be back with more to Sports Shock Show

- 1:19:36Speaker 7: I don't know that you have to fully be locked
- 1:19:38Speaker 7: up to understand extenuating circumstances.
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: I can go do my part.
- 1:19:46Speaker 8: You can and be out by Valentine's Day, yeah, twenty
- 1:19:54Speaker 8: twenty six, or I can do it this way, or and.
- 1:20:00Speaker 7: I'm in here until twenty twenty nine, or I could
- 1:20:05Speaker 7: live in Lima, Ohio.
- 1:20:08Speaker 8: You understand me. He's just gonna go turn yourself in,
- 1:20:11Speaker 8: aren't you. I'm saying, No, you're like me, You're reasonable,
- 1:20:14Speaker 8: Big Kenny over here.
- 1:20:15Speaker 7: Ain't nobody looking for me in Lima, Ohio, That's what
- 1:20:19Speaker 7: I'm saying. Everybody in Atlanta, in Chicago looking for me.
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: Somebody's always looking for you.
- 1:20:24Speaker 7: Not in Lima, like they ain't like looking looking Monominon Wisconsin, Monomine, Wisconsin.
- 1:20:35Speaker 7: Ain't nobody looking like me that you know.
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: I remember the the guys who broke out of the
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: jail in Louisiana, right, A lot of them were caught
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: because they stayed in town. Had they gone to Monom's
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: nowhere else. There's one still out there. This is like
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: two months later. There's one still out there. There's no
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: way he is still in down and when he gets caught,
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: he will lose all his rights. He's basically living his
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: last days of freedom because he won't go turn hisself in.
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: So why do that? Yeah, I hear you.
- 1:21:13Speaker 7: But then people got to do their job. I'm just
- 1:21:18Speaker 7: you know, everybody's got a job. You understand, right, You're turning.
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: I understand, but they're like, we were like, I would
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: rather not go to jail at all, and you're going
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: to jail though eventually you're gonna get caught.
- 1:21:33Speaker 7: Would delay it as long as possible and before before
- 1:21:36Speaker 7: we get too far down.
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: I haven't clocked in. I come back to clock in.
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: I turned myself in the clock in. That's what I was.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: Now this is I was.
- 1:21:46Speaker 7: I was gonna go with Baziz the Queen Bee, until
- 1:21:49Speaker 7: you said Griselda was on the list, Sophia for I'm
- 1:21:54Speaker 7: gonna go with the God Mama. I mean even even
- 1:21:57Speaker 7: little Kim understand that. Like now I don't beginning God, Yeah,
- 1:22:01Speaker 7: she'd have won. Sophia for gower, Yes, cloak, cloak, all
- 1:22:06Speaker 7: kinds of overtime. I turned myself in. I would turn
- 1:22:09Speaker 7: states evidence. I would hate he did it. This dude
- 1:22:12Speaker 7: right here, come on, Sophia, let's go. I just wish
- 1:22:17Speaker 7: AV would turn hisself in. He's making it into something
- 1:22:20Speaker 7: that is going to be. You end up being going
- 1:22:23Speaker 7: to jail for attempted murder. That's what they want him for. Yeah,
- 1:22:27Speaker 7: but already, but I was gonna listen to you beforehand.
- 1:22:33Speaker 7: But this makes you seem guilty. No, you're guilty. Yeah,
- 1:22:37Speaker 7: that usually that's why you go on the runs for people,
- 1:22:41Speaker 7: don't be I was gonna give you a chance to
- 1:22:43Speaker 7: hear you out.
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: Now I'm not.
- 1:22:45Speaker 7: I thought the video of me shooting at the dude
- 1:22:47Speaker 7: was gonna cancel all of that, But I was going
- 1:22:48Speaker 7: to listen to your reason of why you shot ask
- 1:22:51Speaker 7: the guy. Now I'm going just on the fact that
- 1:22:53Speaker 7: you shot at the guy, and I'm gonna give you
- 1:22:55Speaker 7: the hard fifteen twenty.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: So I'm definitely not coming in now out. Definitely not.
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: You ruined it.
- 1:23:03Speaker 7: I was thinking about it and then you said fifteen
- 1:23:05Speaker 7: to twenty nine. No, no, y'all gotta come get me.
- 1:23:09Speaker 7: Making it hard on yourself.
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: Okay, that's been my whole life, making it hard on myself.
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: Don't go away.
- 1:23:28Speaker 14: Board of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Dantius coming
- 1:23:31Speaker 14: up next.
- 1:23:34Speaker 10: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance. Three
- 1:23:37Speaker 10: quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 1:23:40Speaker 10: of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have
- 1:23:44Speaker 10: life insurance.
- 1:23:45Speaker 32: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:23:47Speaker 32: just getting started with our family and thought we lived forever.
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: Life insurance was the last thing on my mind. What
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: about you?
- 1:23:52Speaker 15: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:23:55Speaker 32: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:23:56Speaker 32: bills piling up, I was worried how my family was
- 1:23:58Speaker 32: survived without me. I'm in an appointment with the insurance informant.
- 1:24:02Speaker 32: Information gives you power and life. Insurance gives your family
- 1:24:05Speaker 32: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:24:07Speaker 31: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I
- 1:24:10Speaker 31: leave my family that bills their benefits.
- 1:24:11Speaker 10: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:24:14Speaker 10: whether you earn a little or a lot, All you
- 1:24:16Speaker 10: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:24:19Speaker 10: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 1:24:22Speaker 10: two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 1:24:27Speaker 10: Log on today benefits or bills? Dot Com that's benefits
- 1:24:31Speaker 10: or bills?
- 1:24:32Speaker 33: Dot Com hurting the game. We tough it out, feel exhausted,
- 1:24:38Speaker 33: we push on feeling down. We pull ourselves up by
- 1:24:42Speaker 33: the bootstraps. But there are times when bootstraps aren't enough,
- 1:24:47Speaker 33: when stress gets to us and we need to talk
- 1:24:49Speaker 33: to someone about what we're really going through. So we're
- 1:24:52Speaker 33: going to reach out because sometimes mental health is not
- 1:24:55Speaker 33: a one person job.
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: Is it? Love youormind Today dot org. That's love your
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: mind Today dot org.
- 1:25:01Speaker 33: Brought to you by the Huntsman Mental Health Institute and
- 1:25:03Speaker 33: the Head Council.
- 1:25:04Speaker 15: My mom has taken up going to the park to
- 1:25:07Speaker 15: practice yoga. My dad's going to a club, but not
- 1:25:10Speaker 15: a book club, a salsa club.
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: Finding new hobbies comes with age.
- 1:25:14Speaker 17: My mom has started getting lost and not knowing where
- 1:25:17Speaker 17: she's going.
- 1:25:18Speaker 34: Becoming lost or disoriented doesn't Confusion with time or place
- 1:25:22Speaker 34: may be a sign of Alzheimer's. An early diagnosis can
- 1:25:25Speaker 34: help improve the quality of life for you, loved one.
- 1:25:27Speaker 34: Learn the warning signs of Alzheimer's at ten Signs dot org.
- 1:25:31Speaker 34: Brought to you by the Alzheimer's Association and the ad Council.
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: And now back to the Sports Job Wayne Gandy Player's Lounge.
- 1:25:45Speaker 30: I've been given full access to the player's lounge on
- 1:25:48Speaker 30: the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:26:27Speaker 7: Welcome back to this Shock Shock Wore Shock Wing Can
- 1:26:31Speaker 7: de Dion. We talked about Prime Time Colorado Big twelve
- 1:26:37Speaker 7: Press Day, Prime showing up.
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: Look didn't look that well when I saw him. Commanche
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: put on a brave face. Yeah, he was.
- 1:26:50Speaker 9: He missed some I guess with their spring practices or
- 1:26:54Speaker 9: wherever with a health issue. Wasn't specified that I know of,
- 1:26:58Speaker 9: but he'd say he's feeling better, but we don't know
- 1:27:03Speaker 9: what the actually issue.
- 1:27:04Speaker 7: Was snapped on one of the reporters for asking him
- 1:27:07Speaker 7: about his myths mystery health issues.
- 1:27:10Speaker 5: Wow.
- 1:27:11Speaker 8: Really yeah, fifty seven years old. A guy just was
- 1:27:14Speaker 8: kind of asking him, you know, his ill mens and
- 1:27:17Speaker 8: he I don't know whether he had told the press
- 1:27:23Speaker 8: he wasn't going to answer, because sometimes coaches do do that,
- 1:27:26Speaker 8: they put that out there before they have their press
- 1:27:28Speaker 8: person go out and tell them no questions concerning X,
- 1:27:32Speaker 8: Y and Z. But it seemed like it was a
- 1:27:35Speaker 8: legitimate question to ask him about his health and just
- 1:27:40Speaker 8: seeing him at the podium, no shades, just actually up
- 1:27:44Speaker 8: there being a coach. He said, he feels like it's
- 1:27:48Speaker 8: going to be easier to coach without his son, Shardure.
- 1:27:54Speaker 8: He's never coached without Shador Shiloh.
- 1:27:57Speaker 34: He did.
- 1:27:58Speaker 8: Shiloh went off to South Carolina, I think was his
- 1:28:00Speaker 8: first school before de Young got into coaching. But I
- 1:28:05Speaker 8: was looking more for his health and hoping that whatever,
- 1:28:09Speaker 8: because we do know he's had some issues with it, amputation,
- 1:28:16Speaker 8: some compartment syndrome where they've had to cut into his
- 1:28:20Speaker 8: calf to create some areas so we can have swelling.
- 1:28:25Speaker 8: And coaching is a stressful, hard job, as as the
- 1:28:30Speaker 8: grueling hours. You know, coaches have told you some of
- 1:28:34Speaker 8: them have once they got out and never went back
- 1:28:37Speaker 8: because it's sixteen eighteen hour days. And one thing Dion
- 1:28:41Speaker 8: did say is that he is an advocate for a
- 1:28:46Speaker 8: salary cap, which is interesting for a guy like him.
- 1:28:51Speaker 8: If he says things like that, then it must be
- 1:28:54Speaker 8: interesting a landscape that he would be looking and seeking
- 1:29:00Speaker 8: for a salary cap in college football.
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: And I was going to ask first when a coach prime.
- 1:29:11Speaker 7: Now, let me preface what I'm about to say with
- 1:29:13Speaker 7: I believe that regardless of what you do, there should
- 1:29:16Speaker 7: be a monocum of privacy available to you in your life.
- 1:29:21Speaker 7: But when you remove that barrier yourself, when you purposely
- 1:29:28Speaker 7: invite all of the cameras in and you give them
- 1:29:32Speaker 7: a microscope, and you go look at me, look at me,
- 1:29:34Speaker 7: look at me, and then something happens that you're uncomfortable with,
- 1:29:38Speaker 7: should you be allowed to go look at me, look
- 1:29:40Speaker 7: at me?
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: Okay? Don't look now, don't ask now.
- 1:29:46Speaker 7: As far as his health, Yeah, he comes out and
- 1:29:49Speaker 7: he says, I don't want to talk about my butt,
- 1:29:51Speaker 7: you in our face, about everything else you've given you
- 1:29:56Speaker 7: know so, and again I believe you should be allowed
- 1:30:00Speaker 7: out privacy. But should the reporter be admonished? Because maybe
- 1:30:05Speaker 7: I just want to be the first one to get
- 1:30:08Speaker 7: what I think is the big announcement coming. You've always
- 1:30:11Speaker 7: been forthcoming, you've always been transparent, so I just want
- 1:30:14Speaker 7: to I'm gonna be the one to ask the question
- 1:30:16Speaker 7: everybody's thinking.
- 1:30:18Speaker 8: No, I've always felt like a person is sitting up there.
- 1:30:21Speaker 8: Now if you brought it into the room, If that's
- 1:30:23Speaker 8: the trail you have left, right, then your best way
- 1:30:30Speaker 8: of handling that is to come up with a company
- 1:30:34Speaker 8: answer that you're going to give when the reporter asks
- 1:30:38Speaker 8: you that and just stick to saying that and eventually
- 1:30:42Speaker 8: they will move on. But you already know what your
- 1:30:45Speaker 8: answer going to be. But you can't be leaving a
- 1:30:48Speaker 8: trail and then that like you didn't leave the trails.
- 1:30:53Speaker 8: You've used your health and you've used everything else to
- 1:30:56Speaker 8: build your storyline of life, right, and then you want
- 1:31:01Speaker 8: to retract it. I've always been one of those people,
- 1:31:03Speaker 8: and we've talked about it on the show. I believe
- 1:31:05Speaker 8: in privacy. I believe we invade I believe sports has
- 1:31:09Speaker 8: started to invade athletes lives too much. When I didn't
- 1:31:15Speaker 8: invite you into Tom Brady walking up and down the
- 1:31:20Speaker 8: street does not allow Greg to just be snapping pictures
- 1:31:27Speaker 8: and publishing them with some kind of storyline to fit
- 1:31:33Speaker 8: his narrative. So something you know Tom is dating, Well,
- 1:31:38Speaker 8: if Tom nor this lady or man told you this,
- 1:31:41Speaker 8: how we're doing ually, don't get to just the side
- 1:31:46Speaker 8: here's this mystery woman or who I'm at dinner with.
- 1:31:51Speaker 8: If that's not what I broke it into you. To me,
- 1:31:53Speaker 8: it's always been invasion of privacy. We talked a couple
- 1:31:56Speaker 8: of years ago the Laker players. They were playing like
- 1:31:58Speaker 8: volleyball or something, and it seemed like somebody was creeping
- 1:32:03Speaker 8: on them.
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: From behind the across the pier. Yeah, and as though
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: they don't have no privacy right to a personal life
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: because I shot a basketball.
- 1:32:16Speaker 8: We're not at a press conference, this is not at
- 1:32:18Speaker 8: some charity event. We just over to our friend's house
- 1:32:21Speaker 8: playing volleyball. So to me, that's privacy. Yes, what it is,
- 1:32:27Speaker 8: And so I just think that with dion no need
- 1:32:34Speaker 8: to lash out, and as great as he is, that's
- 1:32:36Speaker 8: what I'm saying. He might have already had his people,
- 1:32:41Speaker 8: you know, tell the media, yeah, no questions about no
- 1:32:44Speaker 8: questions about his health. And then just got irritated. But
- 1:32:50Speaker 8: I do know he didn't look now as he looks right.
- 1:32:57Speaker 8: And now to the second question. The salary cap, you mean, mister,
- 1:33:01Speaker 8: must be the money. It's suggesting that you put a
- 1:33:09Speaker 8: you want me to tie up the bag, You want
- 1:33:14Speaker 8: me to fumble the bag?
- 1:33:16Speaker 7: Surely not the name whose name rhyme with meal Yon,
- 1:33:23Speaker 7: dion Yon. This was this was him, This has been him,
- 1:33:28Speaker 7: This has been That's what he took everywhere he wins,
- 1:33:31Speaker 7: his ability to generate the money that you can come
- 1:33:34Speaker 7: here because we got must be the money.
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: And now you mean salary cap.
- 1:33:40Speaker 8: For the Texas keep coming here and poaching me. Oh,
- 1:33:43Speaker 8: come on, man, that schools are spending.
- 1:33:46Speaker 7: But when you was a hot but when you was
- 1:33:48Speaker 7: a longhorned steer in your prime, you didn't mind him coming.
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: Yeah, we're gonna need a cap though, because we need
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: to level the playing field.
- 1:33:59Speaker 9: Are spending twenty five to thirty million?
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: Just on the freshman. How you gonna compete? How is
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: he going to compete with that.
- 1:34:07Speaker 35: Spend forty five million? Come on, man, ain't this the
- 1:34:11Speaker 35: game we playing? Prime you you you come on now now,
- 1:34:15Speaker 35: now listen, listen, listen this to life. We chose either
- 1:34:18Speaker 35: you get in the game or you get out the game. Now,
- 1:34:21Speaker 35: you left Jackson State because you've got to be too
- 1:34:24Speaker 35: big a fish for that. You generated at that level,
- 1:34:27Speaker 35: tens of millions of dollars they had never seen.
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: Just overpaying everybody though, No, but you did. You won
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: the Swack.
- 1:34:34Speaker 7: Wait, now, you didn't win the Swack Championship. I'm sorry
- 1:34:36Speaker 7: you wanted. I'm just saying overpaying everybody.
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: Come on, man, but that's who's gonna be the third
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: Everybody in Texas dollars. People in Texas called that football.
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: You calling it overpaying?
- 1:34:53Speaker 7: We saying that, Look, we got eighty three million dollars
- 1:34:57Speaker 7: for a quarterback.
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: You only have forty two. And that's something fair for you.
- 1:35:00Speaker 7: So get you a forty two million dollar quarterback. I
- 1:35:05Speaker 7: just think we need a cap, We need a level
- 1:35:07Speaker 7: playing field. You shouldn't be out able to outbid me.
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: Wait, wait, remember when you played for the braves and
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: the falcons. Do you remember that?
- 1:35:16Speaker 7: Remember you remember when they used to fly you from
- 1:35:19Speaker 7: one stadium to the other in the same city. Remember
- 1:35:22Speaker 7: that everybody was talking about, man, that's that's too much,
- 1:35:25Speaker 7: and you've got and you was like, nah, I remember when.
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: You had nine cars parked in front of your house.
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: You don't remember that? That was long, long, long long.
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: That was old days. That was okay, all right, mister
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: salary cap, that's the salary caps.
- 1:35:39Speaker 7: I have times changed, times changed now, don't they ain't
- 1:35:43Speaker 7: no fun When the rabbit got the fun.
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: When the rabbit got the gun. Now all of a sudden,
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: he needs a cap.
- 1:35:49Speaker 7: Now he needs the cap because because because it's unfair me.
- 1:35:55Speaker 7: You sound like all corns sounded when you were in
- 1:35:59Speaker 7: the swag. You sound like uh, the rest of those
- 1:36:02Speaker 7: schools in the swell Man that they were saying you
- 1:36:07Speaker 7: ain't swack. Remember they were trying to say, you ain't swacked.
- 1:36:11Speaker 7: You just the money man. And now he want a count. Okay,
- 1:36:16Speaker 7: President Trump, he wants uf Sea fights on the White
- 1:36:20Speaker 7: House property. I think he would get it. Yeah, it's
- 1:36:24Speaker 7: the people's house. People's house. I mean Dana White a
- 1:36:28Speaker 7: tight so Dana White already got the clearance on the
- 1:36:33Speaker 7: on the lawn, on the loan, why not outside? I mean,
- 1:36:36Speaker 7: you can't bring these savages inside the White House. Yeah,
- 1:36:42Speaker 7: I'm saying now, we can't bring them into the White
- 1:36:43Speaker 7: White House. That's too savage. That's on civilized. But right
- 1:36:46Speaker 7: out here in.
- 1:36:48Speaker 9: The Rose Guard, Greg sounds like you against com. It's
- 1:36:52Speaker 9: just the first thing I thought of. If anyone seen
- 1:36:56Speaker 9: the movie Idiocracy, where five hundred years in the future,
- 1:37:03Speaker 9: the America has become dumber and uh the president, President
- 1:37:08Speaker 9: Camacho is played by Terry Crews, where it's it's kind
- 1:37:13Speaker 9: of that attitude of having like that kind of event
- 1:37:18Speaker 9: on the White House lawn.
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: That's what it's. That's just what it's turned into. And
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: all I hear is for you, this is this is America.
- 1:37:35Speaker 7: You can you can be the president and look out
- 1:37:37Speaker 7: your window and watch your dude pummel another dude in
- 1:37:40Speaker 7: the face for money.
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: I love this country. I love this country.
- 1:37:45Speaker 7: I'm saying because it'd be a war crime anywhere else,
- 1:37:49Speaker 7: but here we can pay to watch it and and
- 1:37:53Speaker 7: and celebrate it.
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: I can cook out. I can cook good food.
- 1:37:56Speaker 7: On this day, prime cuts, some meat I got goods.
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: Top shelf staff.
- 1:38:02Speaker 7: I'm all for ITV two. I'll pay the three ninety

- 1:40:42Speaker 1: in the Sports Shock, Wayne Gandy, Where do we go
- 1:40:45Speaker 1: with Mayweather versus McGregor. Oh no, no that's not violent enough.
- 1:40:53Speaker 1: We need some now, John L. C. Yeah, I'm talking
- 1:40:57Speaker 1: about to young hungry you know, the.
- 1:41:02Speaker 7: Break, somebody's nose, choka, a female out in the rose
- 1:41:07Speaker 7: garden where somebody got to come in and carry her out.
- 1:41:10Speaker 7: So I'm talking about under do run the dome, run
- 1:41:13Speaker 7: the ro versus all of that, all of it. I'm
- 1:41:18Speaker 7: saying John Jones versus who was the other dude who
- 1:41:23Speaker 7: was just uh, always knocking people out. He was champion
- 1:41:29Speaker 7: two or three times, Daniel Cormier or I think it
- 1:41:33Speaker 7: was Cormier. Something like that. I'm talking about, we got
- 1:41:35Speaker 7: to pull out the big, big, big big knock somebody out,
- 1:41:39Speaker 7: and everybody's concerned for two or three minutes, like he's
- 1:41:42Speaker 7: not moving. I don't think he's moving. With the White
- 1:41:45Speaker 7: House in the background, you know he's not. And President
- 1:41:48Speaker 7: Trump with that point that people, it's gonna be huge,
- 1:41:51Speaker 7: it's gonna be we need that. America needs this. American
- 1:41:55Speaker 7: needs We need this, American needs. America needs this.
- 1:41:59Speaker 1: That's a statement. America needs this. With all the violence
- 1:42:03Speaker 1: that we have going on.
- 1:42:04Speaker 7: We waited more violent with a NASCAR on the White
- 1:42:07Speaker 7: House porch. Just a stock car. It's not moving, I
- 1:42:12Speaker 7: mean because that wouldn't make sense, But just a stock
- 1:42:15Speaker 7: car in the shot behind the cage.
- 1:42:19Speaker 1: Dale Earnhardt Jr. Dig him up, Jill.
- 1:42:26Speaker 7: Okay, yeah, I'm saying, dig the senior up to put
- 1:42:30Speaker 7: a put a woman in a bikini, have her come
- 1:42:32Speaker 7: around with a number. I know they don't do that
- 1:42:34Speaker 7: in UFC, but throw it in there. Okay, good, good,
- 1:42:40Speaker 7: call her girl this for this event, we're gonna call
- 1:42:42Speaker 7: her girl. I'm gonna call her ring girl. That's what
- 1:42:45Speaker 7: we're gonna do. We're gonna call actresses actresses on this day.
- 1:42:51Speaker 7: All the old stuff, all the old stuff.
- 1:42:53Speaker 1: Okay, I like it. So she's a stewardess, that's what
- 1:42:56Speaker 1: she is talking about.
- 1:42:58Speaker 7: Some flight attendant of the secretary secretary, your housewife, no homemaker.
- 1:43:04Speaker 1: I don't know what you're talking about. You didn't build
- 1:43:06Speaker 1: this house. Michael Jordan or Vince Carter best dunker, Bence Carter,
- 1:43:18Speaker 1: Vince Carter. Okay, Vince Carter see that.
- 1:43:21Speaker 5: Vince.
- 1:43:22Speaker 8: Vince says, y'all can't give Mike everything you said everything
- 1:43:26Speaker 8: to come up, y'all won't say Michael Jordan's I was
- 1:43:28Speaker 8: reading an article. He was like, you know, we take
- 1:43:31Speaker 8: it to the air. I'm supreme, and I couldn't. I
- 1:43:36Speaker 8: couldn't deny him. I couldn't be like, you know what, man,
- 1:43:39Speaker 8: you might be right.
- 1:43:42Speaker 7: Do you remember do you remember you ever said that
- 1:43:44Speaker 7: rich Vince jumped over a man in a game? Do
- 1:43:46Speaker 7: you remember the original space j that you remember the
- 1:43:49Speaker 7: original Space Joe? No, no, no, Vince jumped over a
- 1:43:53Speaker 7: man in a game, in a game, during a play
- 1:44:00Speaker 7: trying to be jumped over. I mean it wasn't like
- 1:44:02Speaker 7: I was a first round pick in the draft. He
- 1:44:04Speaker 7: never came to play the NBA. He thought, Oh, that's
- 1:44:07Speaker 7: gonna happen to me. Not at a dunk contest in
- 1:44:09Speaker 7: a legal fast break, Vince got the ball and jumped
- 1:44:14Speaker 7: over man.
- 1:44:15Speaker 1: Do you remember that original space jam when those little
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: bitty creatures turned into the big monsters, the big blue
- 1:44:22Speaker 1: one that was Vince Carter.
- 1:44:28Speaker 8: But Vince, I just like because Vince was like y'all
- 1:44:30Speaker 8: just trying to give Mike everything, like was not the
- 1:44:34Speaker 8: greatest in every aspect.
- 1:44:35Speaker 7: He stuck his tongue out about it. But when it
- 1:44:39Speaker 7: came to dunking, yeah, and then when he said I
- 1:44:42Speaker 7: kept thinking of the dunks. But when he jumped over
- 1:44:44Speaker 7: that man, Mike never jumped over. He dunked on some people,
- 1:44:49Speaker 7: and this wasn't an All Star game, like where they
- 1:44:51Speaker 7: set up for somebody to jump them. This dude really yeah,
- 1:44:55Speaker 7: he really was on some don't jump me. Vincent didn't
- 1:45:00Speaker 7: listen that kind of stuff. You're not paying attention. But
- 1:45:03Speaker 7: Vince Carter, uh, and both of them went to north
- 1:45:07Speaker 7: But well, now, really quick was that in dispute. People
- 1:45:10Speaker 7: disputed that that was just a standard fact. We've accepted.
- 1:45:16Speaker 7: It was a it was a fact in his mind
- 1:45:19Speaker 7: that people believe that Michael Jordan's was better. It was
- 1:45:23Speaker 7: a better Michael best dunkard is ever out of U
- 1:45:26Speaker 7: n c Oh.
- 1:45:28Speaker 23: Yeah, and he was.
- 1:45:29Speaker 8: He was just saying, now, y'all can't Mike did have everything, no,
- 1:45:35Speaker 8: because you know the guy that is missing today. In
- 1:45:38Speaker 8: his mind, Mike was the greatest at every aspect, yeah,
- 1:45:43Speaker 8: of the game. And Vince said he would have to.
- 1:45:49Speaker 8: He didn't have springs, they didn't have the airlift, and
- 1:45:54Speaker 8: Vince wasn't a super tall man. They were about the
- 1:45:56Speaker 8: same height. It's not like this was a height.
- 1:45:59Speaker 7: Difference both He had them compression cylinders, air shot and.
- 1:46:07Speaker 1: It's interesting that all three of us went out it out.
- 1:46:10Speaker 7: I was Vince Carter, without a doubt, I would I
- 1:46:12Speaker 7: would never question that only because and this is the
- 1:46:16Speaker 7: thing when we talk about Vince Carter, it's easy to
- 1:46:19Speaker 7: pull out a highlight like jumping over another human being
- 1:46:22Speaker 7: in an actual basketball game. But that's just maybe his
- 1:46:28Speaker 7: top five. But if we were to compile a top
- 1:46:31Speaker 7: you know, every night, in one game, he would give
- 1:46:35Speaker 7: you two three fantastic, like ooh, we got to pick
- 1:46:38Speaker 7: one of these for Sports Center tomorrow.
- 1:46:41Speaker 1: And that was regular.
- 1:46:42Speaker 8: Yeah, he would doing He was doing these things in game, Yes,
- 1:46:45Speaker 8: in game. I think that's the thing always, Yeah, that
- 1:46:48Speaker 8: sets him apart. This was not just dunk contests. Right,
- 1:46:53Speaker 8: let me get let me get my steps right, you know,
- 1:46:57Speaker 8: oh right, this measure. This was live action.
- 1:47:02Speaker 1: Better move, bounce the ball off the ground. I'm going
- 1:47:05Speaker 1: to get it. Kind of dunks. Watch your boy, Watch
- 1:47:07Speaker 1: your boy, Look at your boy. Look at your boy.
- 1:47:13Speaker 8: Vin Sanity, who just dominated. And I think after that
- 1:47:20Speaker 8: dunk contests, the one where he put his elbow yeah
- 1:47:25Speaker 8: in the rim, I think after that it started seeming
- 1:47:28Speaker 8: like maybe people I had seen all the dunks and
- 1:47:34Speaker 8: the next thing, you know, we were pulling cars out
- 1:47:37Speaker 8: phone booths.
- 1:47:38Speaker 1: Well, I think that was.
- 1:47:40Speaker 8: The last pure dunk contest where it was just a
- 1:47:44Speaker 8: ball and the basketball player, and after that was the
- 1:47:49Speaker 8: over correction.
- 1:47:50Speaker 7: I can't do anything physically superior to this. There is
- 1:47:55Speaker 7: no there's only recreating this moment or trying to so
- 1:48:00Speaker 7: to exceed this moment, I need props, and so now
- 1:48:04Speaker 7: here comes sponsorship.
- 1:48:07Speaker 1: You know, I'm gonna pull that out.
- 1:48:09Speaker 8: I'm gonna set one ball on top of the rim,
- 1:48:12Speaker 8: and then I'm gonna put one in my shirt. And
- 1:48:15Speaker 8: then it started just being like more trick dunk and
- 1:48:18Speaker 8: then I'm gonna I'm gonna have a whole choir come
- 1:48:20Speaker 8: out and stand behind the car that I jump. We'll
- 1:48:26Speaker 8: be back or the Sports show right after this.
- 1:48:48Speaker 14: Don't go awayne Boord of the Sports John Shore with

- 1:50:10Speaker 32: just getting started with our family and thought we live

- 1:50:15Speaker 15: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:50:18Speaker 32: When I was forty, with a kid in college and

- 1:50:42Speaker 10: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 1:50:45Speaker 10: two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 1:50:50Speaker 10: Log on today Benefits or bills dot com. That's benefits
- 1:50:54Speaker 10: or bills dot com.
- 1:50:59Speaker 1: And now back to the Sports Job Wayne Gandy.
- 1:51:05Speaker 30: It's time for the school board when we put a
- 1:51:07Speaker 30: spin on light and sports and how they intermingle on
- 1:51:12Speaker 30: the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:51:30Speaker 20: What you ho?
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: What have you got it?
- 1:51:34Speaker 18: You?
- 1:51:36Speaker 1: Maybe you've got what?
- 1:51:38Speaker 7: Back to this moy Shock show. I'm the spot Shock,
- 1:51:40Speaker 7: Wayne Candy, Cam Newton and the Cole Moss announced it's
- 1:51:49Speaker 7: a new show on b E T basically one O six.
- 1:51:58Speaker 1: And sports.
- 1:52:00Speaker 8: It's what they're gonna call it. You can tell about
- 1:52:05Speaker 8: Greg's facial expression. He's not good at poker, Big Kenny's
- 1:52:12Speaker 8: It's written all over his face over there. What he
- 1:52:15Speaker 8: felt about one O six and sports with.
- 1:52:20Speaker 1: Henna.
- 1:52:21Speaker 7: Tell them how you feel, son he gonna he gonna
- 1:52:23Speaker 7: wear he's gonna wear his arms out.
- 1:52:28Speaker 1: Tell him how you feel son.
- 1:52:31Speaker 18: It.
- 1:52:34Speaker 1: I'm just gonna let it play out. I'm not gonna
- 1:52:39Speaker 1: give it these predictions on how long this show will last.
- 1:52:42Speaker 8: But it's a new sports talk show, Ashley. I think
- 1:52:47Speaker 8: she is, uh, she works for CBS already, and I
- 1:52:53Speaker 8: think we got a little preview of it doing the
- 1:52:56Speaker 8: BET Awards.
- 1:52:57Speaker 7: Maybe they get something like them posing toosing together. Okay, now, now.
- 1:53:03Speaker 1: You remember the video now this is to play on
- 1:53:06Speaker 1: one six in part, which was a video video show
- 1:53:10Speaker 1: with live performances by artists.
- 1:53:15Speaker 7: Now, a lot of that changed because of the platforms
- 1:53:20Speaker 7: and the way people consume their content, especially music videos,
- 1:53:25Speaker 7: especially music videos, and so now you're going to try
- 1:53:29Speaker 7: and use an antiquated formula to launch a brand new
- 1:53:36Speaker 7: product in a vein that that demographic, that twenty three
- 1:53:43Speaker 7: to thirty five demographic that's watching beet in that time
- 1:53:47Speaker 7: slot when I imagining this is probably coming on. Don't
- 1:53:50Speaker 7: really do sports that way now, and I don't know
- 1:53:55Speaker 7: how they're going to present it. Maybe it's going to
- 1:53:56Speaker 7: be a lot of quick fast cuts. But if they're
- 1:54:00Speaker 7: trying to do something ille Coach Prime with we Got
- 1:54:07Speaker 7: Time Today and those kinds of undertake, it just seems
- 1:54:14Speaker 7: a little oversaturated to me.
- 1:54:15Speaker 8: Well, it probably be more of lifestyle of sports, which
- 1:54:19Speaker 8: when you add in someone like a Cam style, like
- 1:54:25Speaker 8: a lifestyle of sport maybe than numerical kind of sport.
- 1:54:33Speaker 8: Maybe the lifestyle, the going hangout at different events being
- 1:54:40Speaker 8: the kind of tap into Cam's persona.
- 1:54:42Speaker 1: You know, Cam is is a unique persona.
- 1:54:47Speaker 8: Yeah, and you try to you know, you you would
- 1:54:49Speaker 8: try to formulate something around especially you know, like all
- 1:54:53Speaker 8: these years we talked about Cam, the one thing we
- 1:54:56Speaker 8: had to actually, oh I think people had to you
- 1:55:00Speaker 8: on was that this was not pretentious. This was Cam Newton, right,
- 1:55:07Speaker 8: and you know it's kind of like the Wayne Wade
- 1:55:09Speaker 8: and you talk about. But that's just how they really
- 1:55:13Speaker 8: envisioned themselves, you know, with the the ankle hugger huggers
- 1:55:18Speaker 8: and the best that's there. That's some people because as
- 1:55:23Speaker 8: I always say one thing about sports people at like,
- 1:55:27Speaker 8: when you're a sports figure, that's all you are and
- 1:55:30Speaker 8: you don't ever have another facet. And there's guys who
- 1:55:34Speaker 8: swear like, what was the guy from our grandfather's age
- 1:55:38Speaker 8: with the Knicks that we're all the he's still alive.
- 1:55:42Speaker 8: He dressed Walk, that was Wald and Walk still is
- 1:55:49Speaker 8: wearing no suits And in the locker room people probably
- 1:55:53Speaker 8: started expecting Walk gonna come up in the Yeah, I
- 1:55:57Speaker 8: gonna be killing.
- 1:55:58Speaker 1: Gonna be killing them. And that's Cam Newton is just
- 1:56:00Speaker 1: in a different package.
- 1:56:02Speaker 7: And I'm trying to think of how he would be
- 1:56:05Speaker 7: as a co host, because now we've seen him do
- 1:56:08Speaker 7: podcast type offerings and produce that kind of content, and
- 1:56:14Speaker 7: he's always been kind of a solo act. We've seen
- 1:56:17Speaker 7: him try and do the ensemble thing on the ESPNS
- 1:56:24Speaker 7: and some of those types of platforms, and to me,
- 1:56:29Speaker 7: his wardrobe, his persona is almost distracting. In those forums,
- 1:56:36Speaker 7: you sit next to a Michael Irvin and Michael Strahan
- 1:56:41Speaker 7: and a Tony Romo, and these guys are all kind
- 1:56:47Speaker 7: of suit and tie guys. Cam has on a suit,
- 1:56:51Speaker 7: but it's just a lavender floral suit with a matching
- 1:56:56Speaker 7: stove top hat, you know what I mean. And that
- 1:56:59Speaker 7: seems almost like it wouldn't go with ah whatever they sports,
- 1:57:07Speaker 7: what kind of show.
- 1:57:08Speaker 1: I guess you, I guess you. But you connect him
- 1:57:10Speaker 1: with the other eccentrics. Yeah, the Jimmy Butler type guys,
- 1:57:15Speaker 1: and that might live on that live the Stefan dig
- 1:57:18Speaker 1: type guys that are into the artistic world that might
- 1:57:23Speaker 1: be painting or skateboard on their time free, or the
- 1:57:26Speaker 1: ones that think they rap.
- 1:57:28Speaker 7: Yeah, and that might be two uh two, three of
- 1:57:32Speaker 7: them dudes is one person, you know what I mean.
