Latest / STR Unpacked / Voluntary to Vital: Where UK Short-Term Let Licensing Goes Next
Transcript
- Ben: Good morning and welcome to your short term rental bulletin on the tenth of June. So, for years, the standards in this sector I believe were voluntary. The good operators chose to meet a higher bar and it set them apart. That's changing. Those basics are becoming the rules that everyone works to. Voluntary is becoming vital. Scotland's already been through it. England's register still isn't live, which means how it lands is genuinely still oper open. Operators still have a say. And at half twelve today, I'm putting that to three people who have done the work. Fiona Campbell, Alistair Handyside, and Janet Utley. The scale stage, 1230. Come and have your say. I'll see you there.
