- 4:05Speaker 1: really cute things are coming. Yeah, I'm excited to share.
- 4:09Speaker 1: I won't say more, but there's just lots of cute
- 4:11Speaker 1: stuff coming in the future. Um, and today we have
- 4:16Speaker 1: like a fun short episode for y'all because if you
- 4:21Speaker 1: listen to last week's episode, we told you that we
- 4:24Speaker 1: are burnt out, and so we wanted to get this
- 4:27Speaker 1: episode out for y'all and we wanted it to be
- 4:31Speaker 1: fun and light and we also have an exciting announcement
- 4:34Speaker 1: to share mid episode. So stage round, yes, yeah, So today,
- 4:41Speaker 1: what we really want to talk about is a topic
- 4:44Speaker 1: that we've seen floating around the Internet, of course, and
- 4:48Speaker 1: that's this this word, this concept of being choog ee.
- 4:53Speaker 1: We think that's the pronunciation. We had to go on
- 4:55Speaker 1: TikTok and look it up. Here are some things that
- 4:58Speaker 1: are so delicious take it from me. Gen's here and
- 5:02Speaker 1: I get in trouble for this one, but slow fashion
- 5:04Speaker 1: like cool, You've got out of a thrift store way
- 5:07Speaker 1: to gate keep. I'll never find that you can still
- 5:11Speaker 1: care about the environment and shop a shed peeing in
- 5:15Speaker 1: the middle of the night. You're old. Nothing screams millennial
- 5:19Speaker 1: quite like a self help book like okay, boss Pade.
- 5:24Speaker 1: The next thing that's like fried should you know stick
- 5:27Speaker 1: makes me want to bomb? Is dead People's ashes, it's
- 5:31Speaker 1: just not trendy. Um, we've seen different people like post
- 5:35Speaker 1: about it. Of course, it's all over TikTok. And what
- 5:38Speaker 1: we can glean is it something to do with things
- 5:40Speaker 1: that millennials like that, Like if millennials like it, it's bad,
- 5:44Speaker 1: but if gen z likes it, then it's good. Something
- 5:46Speaker 1: like that, Right, It's like something along those lines like
- 5:49Speaker 1: air Force ones with black socks, gatorade. I'm having a
- 5:52Speaker 1: hard time. I mean, you shouldn't wear white shoes and
- 5:56Speaker 1: white sox is what I have learned. So fine, but
- 6:00Speaker 1: it yeah, like Mala said, it's like, wait, aren't yall
- 6:03Speaker 1: like going into our closets from two thousand five and
- 6:05Speaker 1: like wearing what we used to wear and like bringing
- 6:08Speaker 1: it back like please leave it please those two thousands literally,
- 6:14Speaker 1: and here's what I feel like. Throughout the years, I
- 6:18Speaker 1: have donated so many clothes to like the Salvation Army
- 6:22Speaker 1: in the good Will and listen to that and the
- 6:24Speaker 1: other and so literally the clothes that these kids are
- 6:28Speaker 1: going and buying are probably literally our actual clothes. They're
- 6:33Speaker 1: literally my clothes. And any of the influencers who are
- 6:36Speaker 1: in like TikTok houses and high houses or just generally
- 6:40Speaker 1: in the l A area, and if they're thrift ng
- 6:42Speaker 1: and then they're posting there probably literally buying what was
- 6:47Speaker 1: the brand with the little monkeys on them? And like
- 6:51Speaker 1: with the monkeys, there was a brand that there's a
- 6:54Speaker 1: little brand where they would have monkeys on them, and
- 6:57Speaker 1: then there was another brand where there was the bunnies
- 7:00Speaker 1: would have like funny little sardonic sayings, and then like yes,
- 7:06Speaker 1: all those, all those and all the hot topic like
- 7:08Speaker 1: all that stuff. I'm like, you guys are literally wearing
- 7:11Speaker 1: my clothes. So how I'm not accepting it. I'm not
- 7:14Speaker 1: accepting it. Okay, here's some things that I think are
- 7:18Speaker 1: choogy apple watches, any flavor of gatorade, the store garage,
- 7:24Speaker 1: air forces specifically the way want those pearls, Saturn necklaces,
- 7:31Speaker 1: Mike's a hard lemonade, windmills, anyone with brown or black hair,
- 7:38Speaker 1: road signs, the Yin Yang symbol, rectangle glasses, purple shirts,
- 7:45Speaker 1: driving in general, having green nails. Honestly, the scott Avocados
- 7:53Speaker 1: baseball games. Okay, So what I find interesting is like
- 7:57Speaker 1: the real conflict is really between like white millennials and
- 8:02Speaker 1: white gen's ears. I feel like the white millennials take
- 8:05Speaker 1: it bar personally, I'm more like, you're doing what we
- 8:10Speaker 1: used to do now and it's considered trendy. Yeah, so
- 8:14Speaker 1: stop don't bring that back. Yeah. I'm also reminded, like
- 8:19Speaker 1: you know, there's that saying that it always it all
- 8:21Speaker 1: comes back around, like fashion always comes back. And my
- 8:25Speaker 1: mom never ever got rid of any of her clothes,
- 8:28Speaker 1: and she would always say that, like it all comes back,
- 8:30Speaker 1: it always comes back. And throughout the years, I've definitely
- 8:33Speaker 1: gone into my mom's closet, you know what I mean,
- 8:35Speaker 1: to like borrow pieces and to you know, especially like accessories, jackets, belt,
- 8:43Speaker 1: you know, jewelry, cool shoes, purses, things like that. Um,
- 8:48Speaker 1: so I feel like it happens. It happens. Why are
- 8:53Speaker 1: you guys being so nasty about it? You know what
- 8:56Speaker 1: I mean? Like, you're welcome that we passed. We passed
- 8:59Speaker 1: it all, we passed it on. You're welcome. I was
- 9:03Speaker 1: dying because somebody on Twitter, like there was a viral
- 9:06Speaker 1: tweet where someone like a child the youth on posh
- 9:11Speaker 1: mark had posted a photo of like a longsleeve tea
- 9:14Speaker 1: and it was like Bella Swan vibes, and I was
- 9:17Speaker 1: dying because the sweater was marked like the T shirt
- 9:20Speaker 1: was marked up really high because it's supposedly like Bella
- 9:23Speaker 1: Swan vibes, and it was like a side by side
- 9:25Speaker 1: of the T shirt and Bella Swan from Twilight, you
- 9:29Speaker 1: know what Twilight is even having a resurgence, which I
- 9:32Speaker 1: think is so funny. Um that Taylor Lautner is like
- 9:36Speaker 1: having a comeback because who is he even, like does
- 9:39Speaker 1: he still do things? I don't know. I haven't heard
- 9:43Speaker 1: anything about Taylor Lautner. And it is fascinating, right because
- 9:47Speaker 1: it's like Twilight, not unlike an Hathaway. Right, So first
- 9:52Speaker 1: comes out everybody loves. People are obsessed, you know, all
- 9:56Speaker 1: over the place, sequels, multiple movies like the and there's
- 10:00Speaker 1: a period where people are like picking apart Twilight and
- 10:03Speaker 1: making fun of it and it's this and it's bad
- 10:05Speaker 1: and it's this. And I think people had things with
- 10:08Speaker 1: Stephanie Meyer right, like people were saying things about her,
- 10:11Speaker 1: like people have had issues with her. Um And and
- 10:14Speaker 1: now here we come right like it's been rediscovered in
- 10:18Speaker 1: like a different light again not unlike and like now
- 10:21Speaker 1: people are online like I never understood why you guys
- 10:25Speaker 1: were so mean to Ann Hathaway, anything wrong when people
- 10:29Speaker 1: mean to Ann Hathaway, Oh my god, you don't remember
- 10:32Speaker 1: Okay and Hathaway, Stan, I love these product. Princess Diaries
- 10:37Speaker 1: raised me, Um, Megabin't raised me. Shonda Rhimes was also
- 10:42Speaker 1: a part of that. So the list, there was a
- 10:46Speaker 1: period of time and it was very intense. I remember
- 10:48Speaker 1: Um it was around lay Miss when she was in
- 10:52Speaker 1: La Miss rob and she won an award? Did she
- 10:55Speaker 1: win an oscar? And she gave a speech and then
- 10:59Speaker 1: she just says it came true. And everyone hated it.
- 11:02Speaker 1: And people felt like she was all over the place
- 11:05Speaker 1: and they were tired of her and too much and
- 11:06Speaker 1: Hathaway and they thought she's been corny and just ingenuous.
- 11:09Speaker 1: You know, all the dumb things that people project onto
- 11:12Speaker 1: women in the spotlight, didn't you know, like a con
- 11:17Speaker 1: artist's boyfriend fiance around this time, Like I'm I want
- 11:22Speaker 1: to say yes, so like I'm sure she had a
- 11:24Speaker 1: hell of stuff going on, So leave her alone. You know,
- 11:29Speaker 1: it's like she was a call back to the lay
- 11:32Speaker 1: Miss script. Why are we hating on this, Like leave
- 11:35Speaker 1: it alone. Let her have her moment. She chopped her
- 11:38Speaker 1: hair off for the role. Yes, it's her beautiful hair.
- 11:42Speaker 1: You know, okay, y'all, So today we are really excited
- 11:45Speaker 1: to talk about a new project on Netflix called The
- 11:49Speaker 1: Vivil Songbook Podcast. What difference can one song make? After
- 11:54Speaker 1: you've watched Vivil, the new animated musical from Netflix and
- 11:58Speaker 1: Sony Pictures Animation, want to listen to the Vivil Songbook

- 12:25Speaker 1: around a different song from Vivo. You'll learn how and
- 12:29Speaker 1: why they came to be and how the film evolved
- 12:31Speaker 1: along with them, songs like One of a Kind, Mombook,
- 12:35Speaker 1: Cavanah and the fan favorite My Own Drum. And you
- 12:39Speaker 1: really really learn about the music because episodes focus on
- 12:42Speaker 1: things like rhythm, instrumentation, musical style, and influence. And really
- 12:47Speaker 1: that is just the beginning. You know you're going to
- 12:49Speaker 1: watch Vivo again and again and again, so before you do,

- 13:00Speaker 1: the movie to life in a whole new way. And
- 13:03Speaker 1: after each episode, be sure to look for the Vivo Songbooks.

- 13:11Speaker 1: and your kids and You're Sobrino. Vivo is available to
- 13:16Speaker 1: watch now only on Netflix. The Vivo Songbook is available
- 13:21Speaker 1: everywhere you get your podcasts or casa and and and
- 13:40Speaker 1: and and es of it and ship. So yeah, we
- 14:13Speaker 1: like Twilight again. We love Taylor Lotrian. I love how
- 14:16Speaker 1: like every time people rediscover Taylor it's like he's just white.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Yeah what Yeah? Yeah. I saw something similar to where
- 14:25Speaker 1: people were like, okay, now someone in particular, I don't
- 14:28Speaker 1: recall the person on Twitter, but it was something along
- 14:31Speaker 1: the lines of like, now that Twilight is having a
- 14:33Speaker 1: resurgence and it's popular again, like keep in mind that
- 14:36Speaker 1: Stephanie Meyer completely like ripped off the Native American tribe
- 14:40Speaker 1: from that particular region in Seattle, and she like reported
- 14:44Speaker 1: or wrote about things that weren't true and basically like
- 14:48Speaker 1: learn your ship, like if you're gonna like it, like
- 14:50Speaker 1: also learned the accuracies um and the inaccuracies of the
- 14:54Speaker 1: particular native tribe and how they were portrayed in that film.
- 14:58Speaker 1: So it's kind of like, yeah, I mean a white
- 15:00Speaker 1: woman writing about sucking vampires and wolves. Yeah, that doesn't
- 15:05Speaker 1: surprise me that she got a ton of things inaccurate
- 15:08Speaker 1: and was disrespectful and all of that. Yeah, And it's
- 15:11Speaker 1: it's interesting because this conversation was being had on Tumblr
- 15:16Speaker 1: and like many many of the exact same He's he's white,
- 15:23Speaker 1: Stephanie Myers was disrespectful to natives, And these are both
- 15:27Speaker 1: facts surrounding the projects. But it's always it's the same,
- 15:31Speaker 1: it's the same. But because it's the same projects, I
- 15:35Speaker 1: want to know. I want to know what's the what's
- 15:37Speaker 1: the stuff that we haven't heard yet in all these years.
- 15:39Speaker 1: We don't have any other tea, we don't have any
- 15:41Speaker 1: other gossips, we don't have any other fun facts, no
- 15:44Speaker 1: fun facts, girl, except now I like Kristen Stewart now
- 15:48Speaker 1: that she's queer, Like I think she has like something
- 15:50Speaker 1: edgy and like sexy about her. I'm like, yeah, she's cute.
- 15:53Speaker 1: She's she's a cuteie. She's like, she she's cute. She
- 15:55Speaker 1: does something sexy about her. There is she has a
- 15:59Speaker 1: Bella Swan older, she has a smolder. Yes, as Bella Swan.
- 16:04Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, it's this is painful, Like this is horrible.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Rewatching rewatching some of the films and like the clips
- 16:13Speaker 1: and stuff, it was okay. So the other day I
- 16:16Speaker 1: went out and I went to go see Christol perform,
- 16:19Speaker 1: and then me and some friends ended up at Lessie
- 16:21Speaker 1: That and then we ended up at Noble Jalisco, and
- 16:23Speaker 1: then we ended up at my friend's house and we
- 16:25Speaker 1: started watching movies and in the middle of the night,
- 16:27Speaker 1: we're like, let's watch Twilight. Something is just in the air.
- 16:32Speaker 1: We just felt like watching Flight. When I was recovering
- 16:36Speaker 1: from no when I was in the midst sick with COVID,
- 16:39Speaker 1: I was watching Twilight because I was like, I just
- 16:41Speaker 1: need to put something on and just not think feel nada,
- 16:45Speaker 1: and I was. I watched the entire series, the four
- 16:48Speaker 1: part series, and it was horrible, but it was comforting,
- 16:51Speaker 1: and I'm like, yeah, there's something to this, very comforting,
- 16:54Speaker 1: very comforting, and like it was looking back at the acting.
- 16:59Speaker 1: I mean it's very melodramatic. I mean it's very but
- 17:01Speaker 1: I think it's it's a melodrama. Well, it's also why A.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Not that y A has to be bad. I think
- 17:06Speaker 1: the y A is really really phenomenal and there's a
- 17:09Speaker 1: lot of amazing why A authors. So I don't mean
- 17:12Speaker 1: that disrespectfully. I just mean like it was written geared
- 17:16Speaker 1: towards youth, like teenagers, but it took like a life
- 17:19Speaker 1: of its own. It became like all ages. People were obsessed.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Oh yeah, and for a reason and for a reason.
- 17:26Speaker 1: And you know, I think are our young our young eyes,
- 17:31Speaker 1: like we're seeing it very differently than our more mature Yes,
- 17:39Speaker 1: our worldly eyes. Our eyes are more cultured now than
- 17:42Speaker 1: they were. Yes, they are our tired eyes. We're only
- 17:51Speaker 1: tired because we're overworked and underpaid. That's the only reason. Honestly, Yes,
- 17:57Speaker 1: it because we're spray young things. We're just exhausted. Well,
- 18:01Speaker 1: we were saying, like, you know, actually we've been podcasting
- 18:05Speaker 1: since we were twenty two and twenty three. I'm misin
- 18:11Speaker 1: for baby, Yes, and so it has been a minute,
- 18:16Speaker 1: a very long time that we've been doing this. And
- 18:18Speaker 1: so even like before, like we were always the young
- 18:21Speaker 1: ones and now we're just like we're just part of
- 18:24Speaker 1: the part of Yeah, we're like that older, but we're
- 18:28Speaker 1: not younger than anyone anymore. We're leaders, yes, leaders, vanguards, innovators,
- 18:34Speaker 1: were trend setters, Yes, we're breakers. So keep going exactly.
- 18:41Speaker 1: We have titles. Now, we have titles. Now we've been
- 18:45Speaker 1: doing this for a hot minute, y'all, please endorse us,
- 18:51Speaker 1: leave us a five star review. Damn it. Look, there
- 18:55Speaker 1: are plenty of careers businesses that we have outlived and outlasted.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Also a podcast, respectfully, many podcasts have just hard. It's
- 19:09Speaker 1: hard to keep the ship going. It's really fsive offensive.
- 19:13Speaker 1: If you have made it past episode fifty of your podcast,
- 19:17Speaker 1: if you've made it past episode a hundred of your podcast,
- 19:20Speaker 1: congrats you did have congrats. Yeah it is funny. Yeah,
- 19:28Speaker 1: it's very hard. One day, someone out there maybe someday
- 19:34Speaker 1: soon You never know. You guys were always This is
- 19:36Speaker 1: what we would need you guys to know, is we
- 19:38Speaker 1: are always scheming in the background, you know, just in
- 19:44Speaker 1: the quiet, like in our little houses. We're always up
- 19:48Speaker 1: to something. So you just wait because there's more. It's
- 19:52Speaker 1: it's more, alright, look on what is We will catch
- 19:54Speaker 1: you next time. Already, Oh longa radio, longa radio mommies,
- 20:11Speaker 1: A Myth and Bullshit, A radiophonic novella look at a
- 20:15Speaker 1: radio hosted by Malamuno and f
